Description

In the latest episode of the AI Learning Lab, Kyle delves into the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of adaptability in a world where traditional roles are rapidly changing. He critiques the current state of the GPT store, likening it to a rudimentary directory rather than a fully-fledged marketplace, and discusses the implications of AI on various professions, particularly highlighting the potential resurgence of generalists in a field increasingly dominated by specialists. With humor and insight, Kyle encourages viewers to embrace the janky nature of emerging technologies while fostering a community of curious learners eager to explore AI's vast possibilities. 0:36 [Music]
0:38 know but I'm not sure now what who I
0:42 made
0:46 for what was I made

0:59 for
1:01 [Music]
1:11 taking a
1:13 drive I
1:16 was it wasn't a
1:19 deal I don't know this song ever since
1:21 the Golden Globes I can't get this
1:23 [ __ ] song out of my
1:24 head it's an add
1:27 thing when songs get in there they
1:30 [ __ ] stay for weeks the only way to
1:32 get them out is to learn
1:35 [Music]
1:59 them
2:02 [Music]
2:24 hello everybody Champ's getting it
2:26 champy can sing it better than I can at
2:27 this point you had to learn the words I
2:30 just can't get the melody out of my head
2:32 it's been all day all
2:35 [Music]
2:41 [Music]
2:45 day all right everybody happy Friday
2:48 night Happy Date night let's get let's
2:51 get talking
2:52 about AI stuff nonsense
2:57 add life the cosmos
3:00 the disappointment of the GPT
3:04 store that's not a store it's not even
3:07 it's barely a directory people it's a
3:09 web page with 8 84 gpts out of 3 million
3:13 listed on
3:18 [Music]
3:22 it I was doing a live today on LinkedIn
3:25 and it hit
3:27 me I think it was was it k know or it
3:30 might have been Kelly Kelly
3:34 Camp was like you know what's with
3:37 what's with open AI not being good
3:41 at being a consumer software
3:45 company and I realized kind of in the
3:47 moment um open AI is a research
3:52 lab open AI is is is not interested in
3:55 chat GPT well they are
3:58 now but but chat GPT was an
4:02 afterthought they're interested in chat
4:04 GPT 5 they're interested in the
4:06 underlying model that changes the world
4:10 they're research lab the fact that chat
4:12 GPT took off and became popular was an
4:16 accident they they are The Accidental
4:18 apple right and
4:21 so I think we including me put kind of
4:25 apple level expectations on
4:29 them
4:33 [Music]
4:37 because because they were the first to
4:39 do this technology that we know is going
4:40 to change the world and that's kind of
4:42 been that's kind of been Apple's
4:44 backyard for a long time and they've
4:47 always been masterful at the consumer
4:49 thing and at the marketing
4:52 thing so anyway that hit me
4:55 today that we're
4:59 holding
5:00 a research lab to consumer marketing
5:04 standards mod
5:06 reminder all
5:08 right I don't know what you're reminding
5:10 them but hey Kyler are you buying the R1
5:13 already bought I was in the first batch
5:15 of 10,000 I I I bought it within the
5:19 first the first I saw of it was Robert
5:21 scoble said he ordered
5:23 one and so then I went and looked at it
5:25 and I watched the keynote which was
5:28 decently unwatchable but the technology
5:31 was pretty
5:33 impressive and then the industrial
5:35 design of the thing was so sexy and it
5:36 was also only 200 bucks so apparently
5:40 the first 10,000 are going to be
5:42 delivered by end of March the second
5:45 10,000 by the end of April or miday and
5:50 then the third 10,000 by June or
5:52 something like that I'll believe it when
5:54 I see it it's delivering Hardware is not
5:57 easy especially when you're a startup up
6:00 so you know they they uh it's it's
6:03 interesting they kind of did the
6:04 equivalent of a
6:06 uh of a a crowdfunding campaign but they
6:10 launched it at
6:13 CES but anyway um if you don't know what
6:16 I'm talking about it's the uh the rabbit
6:23 R1 it's a funny
6:28 name I think rabbit I think rabbits
6:32 definitely need to be part of our AI
6:35 learning lab Zoo now I really think
6:37 rabbits are are
6:38 [Laughter]
6:48 in oh man
6:55 okay
6:57 woo
6:58 um Happy Friday night everybody Welcome
7:01 to the AI learning
7:03 lab uh uh uh uh uh uh let's get started
7:08 here I was wondering what the reminder
7:10 was I don't know what the reminder was
7:11 either but I'm not I've not been paying
7:13 attention to uh to comments here so so
7:17 here's how this works here at the AI
7:18 learning lab if you have if you have
7:21 questions about AI if you want to talk
7:22 about something in AI if you want to if
7:25 you want me to explain something if hey
7:28 does everyone know how chat GPT actually
7:30 works if you don't know how that works I
7:32 can tell you how it works it'll blow
7:33 your [ __ ]
7:35 mind
7:37 um when you understand how chat GPT
7:40 works it makes no sense that it works it
7:43 makes no
7:46 sense although it makes perfect
7:48 sense but it makes no sense all right I
7:51 got to go to the mod Channel hold
7:56 please I'm a little congested this even
8:04 oh yeah yeah yeah I did say that but
8:06 wait but I've got to do
8:11 something thanks for the
8:14 mod now I know what you're talking
8:17 about
8:19 um I may not be able to do it right
8:27 now uh where do
8:30 I do I do it
8:39 here
8:41 no uh I'm going to have to get to
8:47 it no
8:50 it's I know what it's about I have to do
8:56 it before I
8:58 start
9:02 um some someone was going to be a mod
9:05 I've got to make them a mod
9:08 and I asked them to remind me to do it
9:12 yes thank you thank you Tom um
9:18 uh yeah so I asked them to ask me to do
9:21 it and then but anyway I had to do it
9:23 before I started but I
9:26 forgot doesn't matter listen
9:30 if you wanted this to be a professional
9:32 operation you'd have gone to CBS okay oh
9:35 by the way uh CBS is a is a what what's
9:38 called a television network oh uh
9:41 television is uh this this thing that
9:44 people used to watch that had what was
9:45 called uh professional programming on it
9:48 and and on on a weekly basis they would
9:51 watch shows with actual actors and uh
9:54 and props and and music and plots and
9:57 writing uh this is not not
10:03 that this is very much like a
10:06 professional
10:07 show if you remove the
10:10 professional you understand yeah yeah
10:13 well not special yeah yeah it's he's
10:17 he's interesting he's interesting I I I
10:20 understand your appeal I understand why
10:23 you would enjoy this
10:25 um I am confused I I'll admit I'm
10:30 confused I do not find it as
10:32 entertaining as i' I've seen you laugh
10:35 sometimes at the what this is
10:40 and I I I he's he's it certainly seems
10:45 like you think he's clever it certainly
10:47 seems that way yes yes no I no I I
10:51 support you because I love you I this is
10:54 not about any Judgment of um whatever
10:58 this is all right Andy and now the CBS
11:03 Evening News with Walter kronite I'm
11:06 Walter K kronite and you're not actually
11:09 my first job in New York City I sold
11:12 yo-yos at FAO Schwarz on Fifth
11:16 Avenue and they stationed me because you
11:19 know I got the whole package going they
11:21 stationed me right at the top of the
11:23 escalators with my
11:25 yo-yos I think even back then it was
11:27 like it was a little wooden yo-yo it's
11:28 like 20
11:29 for a yo-yo and but I could do yo-yo
11:34 tricks and I stood at the top of the
11:36 escalator and uh one day Walter kronite
11:40 comes up the escalator and FAO Schwarz
11:43 with his
11:45 grandkids and I'm doing tricks and I I
11:49 zip the the yo-yo out across the floor
11:52 and bring it back and zap it up and
11:55 Walter kronite looks at his little
11:57 grandson and goes yep walking a
12:01 dog
12:04 huh I actually have a Walter kronite
12:07 story I also Keith Richards also came in
12:11 I yo-yoed for Keith Richards that was
12:13 pretty cool that was a good first job in
12:15 New York if you're going to have a first
12:16 job in New York selling yo-yos at the at
12:19 FAO Schwarz where you know Tom Hanks did
12:22 Big that's a good
12:25 one all right okay what are we doing
12:28 here tonight did you guys want to talk
12:30 about anything
12:33 cuz I don't know I I I ain't got any of
12:38 this [ __ ] figured
12:40 out oh we know that Kyle we're very
12:42 clear on that one what are you
12:45 qualifications oh manred that is such a
12:48 petty question what are your
12:51 qualifications I have none alas Kyle you
12:54 haven't worn sugar skull shirt in a
12:57 while I can't every time I look at that
12:59 shirt now I I flush in
13:04 embarrassment Johnny Cupcakes I I don't
13:07 wear the Johnny cupcake shirt anymore
13:09 cuz that's all I can see now is the
13:12 pasties I could never isn't that funny
13:15 like what it's like AI you can't unsee
13:19 it like once you see what this [ __ ] is
13:20 you can't unsee it but did you know the
13:22 yo-yo was invented by the Filipinos I
13:25 did know that I did
13:28 indeed
13:30 yeah and those guys they they very often
13:33 win the World
13:34 Championships yeah I was a professional
13:36 juggler for a while so I was I was
13:39 fairly seriously
13:41 into
13:42 um that stuff you know all the jugglers
13:47 can you talk about the GPT store is it
13:49 open to the public I can absolutely talk
13:51 about the GPT
13:53 store I almost did a video on it this
13:57 afternoon and then I just ran out of
13:58 time
14:00 um I'm going to do a video on the GPT
14:02 store it is
14:05 um it's
14:10 bad but let's go look at it and I'll
14:12 tell you I'll tell you why it's bad and
14:14 I'll tell you how they can fix it and
14:15 listen I think they they likely will fix
14:18 it but they said they were going to
14:20 launch this thing the end of November
14:22 and it's now mid
14:25 January so two months after they said
14:28 they were going to launch it they launch
14:30 it and it is what I would have expected
14:32 back in November so I thought they were
14:35 actually working on it I assume they
14:37 were not that they just threw this thing
14:39 together um anyway uh let's go look at
14:42 it let's go let's go look at the chat
14:44 GPT all right let's go look at the chat
14:46 GPT by the way this is from Suzanne
14:49 Welker Jurgens um I think this is one of
14:52 her one of her gpts makes uh cool wine
14:58 bottle label designs I think that's what
14:59 that is or she might have just prompted
15:02 that up there but it's got she's got
15:04 like other ones that are really cool so
15:09 the Irregulars the Irregulars she can't
15:12 spell that's not that's not dalus
15:14 spelling that that's Suzanne just
15:16 mistyping this dolly did perfect she
15:20 just actually mistyped it so just in
15:22 case there was any wait what oh that
15:26 that was a dolly typo see I've never
15:29 it's F so funny Dolly I've never had it
15:31 make a typo for me it's always perfect
15:33 for me very strange anyway sucks to be
15:36 you guys
15:37 [Laughter]
15:40 um is he is he telling the truth do you
15:43 think that Dolly never does Miss
15:45 spellings for him do you think that's
15:47 true oh he fibs he does
15:51 not does he know Sam he said he knows
15:54 Sam Altman does he not know Sam Alman oh
15:57 oh my goodness I thought he knew Sam
16:00 what what about Elon he said he knows
16:02 Elon does he know Elon he oh my goodness
16:05 oh my goodness oh he is such a fiber oh
16:09 he is such a fiber oh my goodness oh my
16:15 goodness oh Cam cat can still can't pin
16:18 oh sorry cam yeah sometimes Tik Tok just
16:23 sucks it's not you it's it's the it's
16:27 the janky Gods oh which which reminds me
16:31 we have a good janky
16:35 picture embrace the
16:38 janky it's a good one oh
16:41 man okay so here we are at chat
16:45 JP and I'm going to flip over to chat
16:48 GPT 4 so so if you want to use gpts you
16:52 need to have a GPT Plus account Kyle did
16:57 you see that Riley Brown added you in
17:02 LinkedIn um I so um Danielle I I saw
17:08 that there were some posts about Riley
17:11 Brown I didn't know who he was until I
17:13 like went like right before I came on
17:15 here and I went and saw who he was so
17:19 sort of I didn't take it in at all so
17:24 I've got to go figure out what it
17:25 actually means and I know he's probably
17:27 got a big following so I I think that's
17:29 a good thing I don't
17:32 know I'm like a I'm like what what do
17:35 you call that I'm like an old guy trying
17:37 to be hip on the Tik toks and the
17:39 YouTubes and uh so I I I stumble into
17:43 this it's funny I just I this chapter
17:45 that I wrote for Cindy Coon's book um I
17:48 started out with
17:51 um there was this moment in
17:55 1995 where we're standing in our
17:57 agency.com office offices and um we had
18:00 hired Klay shery who's he's a futurist
18:03 and he works at Columbia I think he
18:05 still works at Columbia but anyway he
18:07 he's he's written a couple of books and
18:09 things like that but clay worked for us
18:11 and and at one point I don't know what
18:14 happened we like landed yet another
18:16 Fortune 500 client like we had landed
18:18 four or five in a row and we landed
18:19 another one and Clay shery just looked
18:22 at me and he goes he goes you know who
18:25 you are Kyle you're the Forest Gump of
18:27 the internet
18:32 and he he meant it as a compliment but
18:34 it was just like like I was just like
18:36 stumbling my way into success after
18:39 success and I kind of feel like that's
18:42 you know I like that feels consistent
18:45 with my entire career so uh so yeah I
18:48 don't know if it's a success Riley is a
18:51 uh he's a YouTuber that he he's one of
18:54 he's one of the guys that's like super
18:55 energetic about
18:57 AI um
18:59 so I I don't I don't I as energetic as I
19:03 am I don't have that kind of uh how do
19:05 we say uh
19:07 performance
19:09 style so oh man can we at least flip the
19:13 blandon's bag over oh yeah I guess we
19:16 can yes sissies hang on I got it I'm
19:20 gonna this weekend I'm going to go out
19:23 to
19:24 uh I'm going to go out to like
19:27 a office supply store and get myself a
19:31 pack of uh construction
19:35 paper and get I'm going to buy a whole
19:37 back pack of construction paper so I can
19:39 get one black
19:42 piece oh
19:45 man uh what are we doing here we are
19:48 talking about the GPT store okay so
19:51 here's chat GPT if you don't know what
19:52 GP so so chat GPT large language model
19:55 you type [ __ ] into it and it does stuff
19:57 right uh um it can make pictures it can
20:00 see pictures it can code it can analyze
20:03 data it does all sorts of this
20:05 stuff
20:07 gpts are these things that um are little
20:13 customized versions of this so like for
20:15 example here's one that I made called
20:17 the AI executive order Explorer so this
20:21 is chat GPT but this has actually been
20:23 trained on I
20:25 uploaded um President Biden's exec itive
20:28 order on artificial intelligence and
20:30 then now you can go ask questions about
20:33 it so that's pretty slick and then
20:35 there's there's you know just tons and
20:38 tons and tons of these uh open AI said
20:40 there were three million of these um
20:43 this is this is one I made called 70s
20:45 muscle car machine which will Design you
20:48 like a poster for your bedroom for the
20:49 70s of a muscle car um that one makes me
20:54 very happy um you know and and you just
20:56 say like there's a little pre pre done
20:58 thing here I'm ready to design my dream
21:00 car and then it asks you what dream car
21:02 you want to
21:03 do like I always say AI learning lab
21:06 just like a box of chocolates exactly
21:08 Papa
21:14 JJ oh man come on
21:22 load oh y'all are funny mods the mods
21:26 are cute I got to tell you the mod are
21:28 having a good a good little conversation
21:31 off the side all right let's start by so
21:33 wait what are we going to do we're going
21:34 to do a Mustang we'll do
21:37 Mustang uh fast
21:40 back and then it should ask us what
21:42 color we want
21:45 great um what color do you want let's go
21:48 let's go uh
21:52 blue white
21:55 stripes uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
22:00 a blue Mustang Fastback with white
22:02 stripes that's going to look stunning
22:04 now final question any custom mods let's
22:08 go
22:12 um um
22:16 drag uh
22:19 wheels
22:21 and and
22:24 spoiler all right and now it's should go
22:26 off and me because life is like a box of
22:29 chocolates
22:31 uhm your dream car is shaping up to be
22:34 quite a masterpiece in 1970s Mustang
22:37 Fastback blue with white stripes equi
22:39 with drag wheels and a spoiler let's
22:42 bring it to
22:46 [Music]
22:48 life oh nice oh yeah see what I'm
22:52 saying what does that say fast Chad fast
22:57 back
22:59 so that's a that's that's what a GPT is
23:02 they can they can be anything and then
23:03 the GPT store so if you go to this thing
23:06 that says explore gpts it takes you to
23:08 this
23:09 thing
23:11 gpts and then you scroll down and
23:13 there's a bunch of these gpts and you're
23:16 like well Kyle isn't that sort of what
23:17 it looked like before it is sort of what
23:19 it looked like before the difference is
23:22 that you can now search for other
23:23 people's gpts where you you really
23:25 couldn't before um so if if I put in
23:29 here
23:31 [Music]
23:34 um well I could
23:36 do I could do my Sin City
23:39 sipper Sin Sin City sipper so you know
23:43 up will come you know my thing and
23:45 anything with the word sin in it and
23:47 then you can go to that and so and so
23:50 that's what it is now if I go back to
23:53 the
23:54 store um I can also click on my gpts
23:58 it'll give me just a list of mine one of
24:00 the things okay here's one of the things
24:02 that I find really frustrating about the
24:04 GPT
24:06 store this is my list of gpts that I can
24:09 see I can't give this URL to someone I
24:12 can't I can't say here's a link to all
24:15 of my gpts on the GPT store that's one
24:18 thing it doesn't do which I find
24:20 absolutely ridiculous like seriously
24:23 really really that's what we're going
24:25 with you can't you can't you can see
24:28 your but you can't share this so that so
24:30 there's strike number one um let's see
24:33 strike number two there's seven
24:35 categories which that's fine there's
24:37 ultimately going to be you know more
24:38 than this but they start with seven but
24:41 when you click on these categories it's
24:43 it's literally just jumping you down to
24:45 an anchor link on a single web page so
24:48 the GPT store right now is actually just
24:50 a single web page with with anchor links
24:53 to the seven sections and then each
24:56 section displays uh it features six gpts
25:01 and if you click show more it shows six
25:05 more and then that's it like you can't
25:08 see if I wanted to see more things
25:10 within productivity uh there's only 12
25:13 that are being featured so this is a
25:15 hand curated list from probably some
25:18 intern at open AI That's that's just
25:22 picking the ones in this list I maybe
25:24 they're doing it by by popularity I
25:26 don't I don't know I think you have to
25:28 have at least a th000 um uses of your
25:32 GPT to get it eligible for this list um
25:36 so anyway so so that's that um there's
25:40 no mention of pricing or that you need
25:42 to to upscale to to get here there's no
25:45 mention of um how you share these things
25:51 there's no mention of if you want to
25:53 embed these things in your website
25:55 there's no mention of if you want to
25:57 make money on these things you can make
25:59 money
26:01 with you know one of the things that Sam
26:03 Alman talked about when they launched
26:05 the gpts was that there was going to be
26:07 rev sharing like there's none of that in
26:09 here so so this is this is what I would
26:12 consider to be a minimum
26:15 viable web page this is not even a it's
26:19 not even a store at this point you know
26:20 it's barely a directory true you can
26:23 search for them and the search isn't bad
26:25 it seems to be pretty quick and I can I
26:27 could put in here like
26:30 pottery and then it will go find you
26:34 know Pottery stuff wonder if I can do
26:41 glaze wonder if Corey
26:45 Sandlers glaze
26:47 recipe maker here is here I mean I'm
26:51 sure it's here wonder if I can find it
26:53 no recipe found glazing
26:57 recipe
27:06 told you I can't get that song out of my
27:11 head recipe is recipe right no anyway
27:16 all right so that's what the CH GPT
27:19 store is
27:20 um Now search for The Decorator app okay
27:25 The Decorator app
27:29 app The Negotiator The Decorator app by
27:33 Jorge
27:35 Medina you don't have a uh picture in
27:38 there you should put a picture in there
27:39 if you haven't need inspiration for your
27:41 home improvement submit a photo of your
27:43 space and let's turn it into something
27:46 all right let me see if I can find a
27:48 picture of a
27:50 space oh look at that that's that's the
27:53 Sin City sipper hero image I actually
27:55 love that
27:56 image uh uh uh uh Blandon baby oh yeah
28:00 okay there's a space there there's a
28:02 space we got a few pets but but we'll go
28:05 with that one so we're going to upload
28:07 that space and then let's see what the
28:09 decorator app does does with our room
28:12 full of
28:17 vermin uh to begin with your decorating
28:19 Journey could you please describe the
28:20 room oh it didn't take the the upload
28:25 once you've made your so we'll say um uh
28:31 foyer so this is to describe it I
28:44 think all right cool very cool so that's
28:48 that um here's the deal about the GPT
28:53 store the fact that I'm kind of razing
28:56 on them right now
28:58 I'm not going to be the only one people
29:00 are going to Raz on this thing they're
29:01 going to pick on it they're going to say
29:03 this is the dumbest thing ever this is
29:05 stupid this is poo poo and it will be
29:08 until it's not or until they bail on it
29:11 right so if you if you've been playing
29:14 along for the past year
29:18 um open AI made a pretty big deal of
29:21 these things called plugins back in the
29:24 day back in February March something
29:26 like that whenever GPT 4 came out
29:28 plugins came out pretty shortly after or
29:30 maybe even when it
29:32 launched and the plugin store was
29:35 popular for about a month and then
29:36 nobody used the plugins and in fact like
29:39 three weeks after they launched plugins
29:41 Sam Altman said there's not a product
29:43 Market fit so basically they had the
29:45 data to know that plugins were a
29:49 flop and then when he announced gpts
29:52 back in November one of the things he
29:54 basically said in a subsequent interview
29:57 was that that gpts were the evolution of
30:00 plugins and so I think it was Cindy [ __ ]
30:03 pointed out or maybe it was I forget
30:04 someone someone in one of my lives today
30:07 pointed out that a lot of the
30:10 featured
30:11 um
30:14 gpts are the same companies that that
30:17 had popular plugins so lunatick I made a
30:21 Tik Tock of me complaining about it for
30:23 the first time in
30:25 months complaining about what about the
30:27 about the uh about the the GPT store
30:31 yeah I'm going to I'm going to make a
30:32 Tik Tok tomorrow complaining about it
30:34 cuz it's like they got to get their [ __ ]
30:36 together I and listen I I respect that
30:39 they're a research lab that they they're
30:42 an accidental consumer company but
30:45 you've got 10 billion you're the highest
30:47 profile tech company on the planet right
30:50 now just in terms of people paying
30:52 attention to you bring in some consumer
30:55 software people right bring in some
30:57 people that know how to Market this
30:58 stuff and and and create product for
31:00 this this kind of audience um it's not
31:03 that hard right now you you the you
31:06 literally have zero competition other
31:08 than po which the CEO of quora who runs
31:12 PO is on the board of open AI so you've
31:14 effectively got zero competition you
31:17 can't [ __ ] this up and and they have
31:20 managed
31:21 to under deliver in my opinion in my
31:25 humble he's not very humble is he he
31:28 said it was in his humble opinion but
31:30 then he seems he seems to have hubris he
31:34 it you know do you understand what I'm
31:35 saying it's like he's very opinionated
31:38 he's got an edge he's got an edge it's
31:40 like he's like a he's he's like a New
31:43 Yorker except he act he he he acts like
31:45 a midwesterner but then he's got this
31:47 Edge he seems angry he seems
31:51 angry very Charming very Charming but he
31:54 I just I why do you watch this okay and
31:58 [Laughter]
32:03 oh so anyway that's the GPT store I
32:07 don't mean to dump on it but they got to
32:10 get their [ __ ]
32:13 together and and what do I always say
32:17 everything right now is a janky piece of
32:19 [ __ ] this is living up to that
32:21 expectation um underestimate any of this
32:25 technology at your own risk
32:29 it's really easy to make fun of this
32:30 stuff right now it's really easy to go
32:32 it's not perfect I'm not going to use it
32:34 I'm going to
32:35 wait this stuff the the one of the
32:39 interesting things wait Kyle can you
32:41 plug the salon as a place to share your
32:43 custom gpts and get help I can
32:45 absolutely do that that's a really good
32:48 idea
32:51 um okay so here's what I want you to do
32:53 go
32:56 to how many many folks are in here go to
32:59 go to there the salon. a so so this this
33:03 place well that place is just a link
33:06 tree that that URL is just going to take
33:07 you to a link tree but this organization
33:11 so the AI learning lab Channel this
33:13 channel is can I still
33:20 juggle why do you
33:26 ask no I
33:32 can't yes I can still
33:39 juggle
33:54 squirrel all right wasn't he talking
33:56 about the AI salon what's going on why
33:58 is he juggling wait I just went to the
34:00 bathroom I came back what's
34:02 happening suddenly whips out juggler
34:09 P listen I'm a
34:12 58-year-old ADD
34:15 child I surround myself with [ __ ] to
34:18 distract myself uh you you you want to
34:23 see poorly formed card tricks I can do
34:26 that too
34:31 oh my God so yes I can still juggle um
34:34 anyway hey ion where was I what were we
34:36 talking about blam it on the Blandon
34:38 except I haven't had any tonight I
34:41 should have some Blandon tonight I'm a
34:42 little [ __ ] wiry I'm a little
34:45 like
34:47 okay what am I supposed to do here
34:50 people okay AIS salon. mn. or go there
34:54 the
34:55 salon. um this is a community I started
34:57 the week after chat GPT launched so year
35:00 we just celebrated our Oney year
35:02 anniversary and
35:04 um so when when you come to the AI Salon
35:08 the first the first link on that on that
35:10 link tree the salon. a will will bring
35:13 you here first place you should go is
35:15 welcome to the salon and you'll see that
35:18 picture that I just showed over there on
35:20 that other thing um and this talks about
35:23 who we are and what we do okay so um go
35:26 check this out
35:27 you
35:29 know the AI Salon is really a gathering
35:33 place for people that are curious about
35:35 AI that are trying to figure this [ __ ]
35:36 out no matter where you are in the
35:38 journey one of the things I talk about a
35:40 lot in here is we're all beginning like
35:43 we're no one is an expert right now and
35:46 they're not going to be
35:47 for I'm going to go out on a limb and
35:50 say three years but it's it's probably
35:52 more like two but I just have a feeling
35:55 that things are going to change so so
35:57 much over the next 3 years that we are
35:59 all for the next at least 3 years going
36:03 to be in a constant state of ignorance
36:08 and feeling like we're clueless feeling
36:10 like we're behind feeling like we don't
36:12 know what we're
36:14 doing and anyone in here that comes in
36:19 here regularly we call them the
36:20 Irregulars you can be an irregular too
36:22 how just show up and listen to my stupid
36:25 ass every
36:26 night
36:28 and then play and get curious and then
36:31 join the AI salon so this is the this is
36:33 the place we We Gather the AI salon and
36:36 and we've got you know we talk about our
36:39 values here on this page and I I really
36:41 want you to check these out and take
36:42 them in um because they're
36:45 important this is this is who we want
36:48 here we want people that are curious we
36:50 want people that are generous that are
36:51 willing to share what they know not like
36:53 you have to ask them to tell you about
36:55 the prompt but they're just like hey I
36:57 just figured something out here's what I
36:58 did here's how you know here here's what
37:00 worked here's what didn't and that
37:02 happens regularly in here and it's it is
37:05 it is surprisingly rare but like that's
37:07 who this group is um exploration is one
37:10 of our values we want adventurous people
37:12 we want collaborative people we want
37:13 people that are like oh I got to figure
37:16 this thing out or I just I just told
37:18 someone about Ai and now they want to
37:19 hire me but I can't do the programming
37:21 part but you can do that let's you know
37:24 come on I can make the costumes I've got
37:26 a barn let's put on on a show um we want
37:29 that um inclusion is one of our values
37:34 like people are going to come from all
37:35 different professions all different
37:37 experiences all different educational
37:40 backgrounds
37:41 and because this affects everyone these
37:44 these what's happening with AI is going
37:46 to affect everyone that touches a
37:48 computer and and a lot of people that
37:50 don't and then empathy a lot of people
37:52 are scared a lot of people are angry and
37:54 so how do we interact with people that
37:58 might not be where we are
38:01 well be empathetic take them in
38:04 understand they might be afraid
38:05 understand they might be pissed off
38:07 understand why take that in so if those
38:09 values resonate with you then this is
38:11 your this is this is your people um and
38:15 it's an amazing amazing group and then
38:17 in the community section first thing
38:19 that you should do is introduce yourself
38:22 so the oops hang on the little first
38:25 section in community is introduce
38:27 yourself so hop in there introduce
38:29 yourself be generous tell us more than
38:31 just hey I'm here AI is cool hop in and
38:35 tell us what you do and what's your
38:37 background and you know I don't know
38:40 what your Epiphany was with AI or just
38:42 you're just getting started and people
38:44 will adopt you and then there's a water
38:47 cooler discussion there's a showand tell
38:49 so the showand tell is really fun so so
38:52 what happens is this the Irregulars the
38:54 people that come here all the time just
38:56 because of the nature of this channel I
38:58 sometimes have to repeat things over
39:00 over and over again like you know what's
39:02 chat GPT or what's a GPT or what's the
39:04 store or what's the salon and so while
39:07 I'm rambling and babbling and being
39:09 distracted with do you still
39:13 juggle they're they're off like making
39:16 images entertaining themselves having
39:18 side conversations and so the show and
39:20 tell channel has become kind of this
39:22 real time Jam for drunk drunk
39:25 robots the bot bent Blandon Blues that's
39:29 really good Chris um and so as as I'm
39:33 rambling people can he
39:39 juggle that's about as good as I do card
39:41 tricks I can fling them pretty good
39:45 uh so they just hey Sam let me build
39:49 your website for your store really I
39:51 mean come on you you've had three months
39:54 to put that together and you came up
39:56 with a scrolling single web page with
39:58 with anchor tags I we could have done
40:00 that in 1995 for you there
40:06 buddy um so The Accidental Apple yeah I
40:10 mean that is that is sort of what what
40:13 chat gpts become or open AI
40:16 become Al this although this new uh the
40:19 rabbit R1 Hardware device they they've
40:22 kind of snuck into that position with
40:23 that device nice nice Joker wait what
40:27 how are we supposed to sleep at night
40:29 when you're posting stuff like that huh
40:31 can I make music with co-pilot on my
40:33 phone absolutely yeah you you should be
40:35 able to I
40:39 well I don't know if the co-pilot app
40:42 has access to plugins I can show you how
40:44 to make music and co-pilot in a website
40:47 so what you can probably do
40:49 Jeffrey is go to go to your browser on
40:54 your phone and go to Copilot
40:56 microsoft.com if you can't do it within
40:59 the app but you should be able to do it
41:02 within the app but let me go show you
41:03 how to do that so anyway please go to um
41:07 the AI Salon check out what we're about
41:10 if you're into it sign up sign in and
41:13 start participating just jump in there's
41:15 an ask for help section there's a
41:17 Shameless self-promotion if you want to
41:19 talk about whatever you're up to um
41:21 there's AI tools and resources this is a
41:24 big long list um I I maintain this list
41:28 um of things that I think you should be
41:29 paying attention to um and then there's
41:33 also add your favorite tool where people
41:35 in the community also add tools they
41:37 think are interesting so this is a
41:39 really good
41:40 resource um and then there's also guilds
41:43 so a 101 Guild um an Art Guild writers
41:47 business mechanics healthc care video
41:50 and education um so the the Ed all the
41:54 different guilds are are sub communities
41:57 within the community where you can go
41:58 learn different stuff and find people
42:00 that are interested in similar kinds of
42:02 things all right so that's that let's
42:05 let's hop over to co-pilot for a second
42:07 so if you go to
42:09 co-pilot
42:13 microsoft.com that will take you here
42:16 which this is this is
42:18 ostensibly chat GPT for
42:21 free chat GPT 4 for free now is it
42:26 really chat GPT for not
42:28 really
42:30 because it's just the nature of how
42:32 these things
42:34 work um this is sort of Microsoft's
42:37 version of chat
42:42 gp4 and it um it's got a lot of safety
42:47 guard rails in it
42:48 but let me see let me sign in
42:55 here oh I actually have have
42:57 a business account now all right so see
43:01 where it says down here it says make a
43:03 song with sunno so if you're on the
43:06 desktop version on the right hand side
43:08 this is your prompt history and then
43:10 there's also a tab for
43:11 plugins and if you go to plugins you
43:14 scroll all the way to the bottom you
43:17 have to have search enabled and then
43:20 once you have that enabled the next
43:21 plugin above it is called sunno sunno is
43:24 this songwriting thing and so assuming
43:28 that your suo plug is plugin is enabled
43:31 then you can make a song so I could say
43:33 um make a song about being a functional
43:40 juggler in your
43:46 50s what what's a functional juggler is
43:50 functional juggling a thing is that is
43:52 is is that like an emotional support dog
43:55 a functional juggler
43:57 it's very similar to
43:59 that well I can juggle in the morning
44:01 juggle in the night I can juggle when
44:04 the sun's high up in the sky it almost
44:07 Rhymes I've been catching and tossing
44:10 for all my life I'm a functional juggler
44:12 and I'm feeling all
44:17 right and we should have the music here
44:20 soon here we
44:22 go
44:23 the the night I can jug Suns high up in
44:28 the sky I've been catching and tossing
44:30 for all my life I'm a functional juger
44:34 and I'm feeling all right keeping the
44:36 ball in the air yeah I'm on the got R in
44:40 my hands don't you know I'm a Str in
44:44 sensation can't you see I'll keep the
44:47 balls fly just watching you believe I'll
44:51 keep the balls flying just watch and
44:53 you'll believe oh yeah that Kyle Shannon
44:58 that was Kyle Shannon with I'm still
44:59 juggling at
45:02 58 you can make money
45:07 with it's so funny we we drive around
45:11 there's there's two different um Street
45:15 jugglers here in Denver that are not so
45:18 like when I think Street jugglers I
45:20 think like you know someone like on the
45:22 16th Street Mall where they put out the
45:25 hat and they do their juggling thing and
45:26 they juggle fire and they ride a
45:28 unicycle and they gather a crowd no no
45:31 these Street jugglers are like at stop
45:33 lights so the cars all stop at the
45:36 stoplight the jugglers run in front of
45:38 the traffic juggle really quick and then
45:41 go Tada and try to get people to give
45:43 them
45:44 dollars and it's like every time I see
45:47 one of them I say to whoever's in the
45:50 car I'm like see I got a fallback
45:55 career
45:58 Oh
45:59 [Laughter]
46:05 Lordy what have I done with my life what
46:08 have I
46:09 [Laughter]
46:13 done all right enough comedy
46:18 [Laughter]
46:23 jokes all right fantastic ftic hey
46:27 that's my pick oh nice ion China which
46:30 one was that the
46:31 um this one the uh the embrace the janky
46:35 I love that one that was really good
46:37 thank you for sending that to
46:41 me very nice um the other thing that I
46:44 do on the AI Salon show in tell channel
46:46 is I'll check in there you know
46:48 throughout the show and just see see the
46:52 kind of visual trolling that's going on
46:54 the other thing that you can do in show
46:56 and tell though is you can share your
46:58 GPT so if you've got a GPT pop it in
47:01 there and let people know it's there um
47:04 it's just a really good group so you
47:06 should be a part of that group if you're
47:08 not a part of that group and it's a
47:10 group that Embraces the
47:12 janky here we go again oh
47:18 yeah ask it to list the top F five
47:22 millionaires that made their millions in
47:25 juggling that's it's actually pretty
47:26 solid there
47:28 Joker
47:33 um all
47:36 right who are the top five millionaires
47:39 that made their millions in
47:48 [Music]
47:54 juggling it appears there's no readily
47:56 available information on millionaires
47:59 who made their wealth specifically
48:00 through
48:01 juggling although Michael motion
48:04 probably made a living he probably did
48:06 not make millions and then there were
48:09 the brothers caramat off there were the
48:11 Smothers
48:13 Brothers
48:16 um there's a bunch of like really nich n
48:19 n nichy ones sm's Brothers Steve Martin
48:23 did a little little juggling
48:28 but
48:31 yeah all right so let's let's do
48:34 this how about millionaires who have
48:38 juggled let's see
48:41 that cuz it's a good metaphor for
48:43 business like you're keeping the balls
48:45 in the
48:47 air it's it's got nothing it's like
48:50 listen listen listen you [ __ ]
48:54 theatrical no no one who's successful in
48:56 life ever started out as a juggler just
48:59 just stop just don't even admit that you
49:02 do that too late how can I upload a 300
49:05 page text PDF to an AI and ask questions
49:08 to it true fishing great
49:11 question so if you've got chat
49:14 gp4 you can just do it you can also do
49:17 it with Claude claw. but let's let's go
49:20 do
49:22 it okay so here I am at chat gp4
49:26 how if you don't have chat gp4 how you
49:28 get it is you go to your name and then
49:32 you go to my
49:33 plan and you get um chat GPT plus they
49:37 they just added this thing called chat
49:39 GPT team I'm not quite recommending this
49:43 yet cuz there there's some things I've
49:44 heard about it that are a little janky
49:46 although I'm about to get access to it
49:48 so once I play with it I'll let you know
49:50 um the the most important thing right
49:52 now with team is that they're they're
49:55 explicitly saying we won't train on your
49:57 data and that's only been available to
50:01 Enterprise subscriptions so
50:03 anyway get chat GPT
50:07 plus and then when you're in chat GPT 4
50:11 so in this pull down menu on the top
50:12 left of the main screen go to chat gp4
50:15 you'll see this
50:16 paperclip click on the paperclip and
50:19 upload your your file so let me go
50:24 salmon
50:26 salmon flying East is a screenplay that
50:28 I wrote so this is 120 Pages it's not
50:32 300 but 120 pages so I just uploaded my
50:37 screenplay and I can go please write a
50:42 Hollywood style elevator pitch for this
50:48 that
50:50 referenes to other
50:54 movies it REM reminds you
50:58 of that
51:00 will
51:02 um
51:03 instantly bring it to life for who you
51:08 are pitching a classic
51:12 Hollywood
51:13 tactic reading salmon flying East and
51:17 and that's basically it now what you can
51:19 also do with that 300 Page document you
51:22 can make a
51:23 GPT where you can upload that document
51:26 to the GPT and you can share that with
51:28 other people so they can now interact
51:30 with that 300 Page document the one
51:32 caveat that I will tell you
51:36 is the gpts from a security and privacy
51:39 standpoint are really janky right now so
51:42 if if if you if that 300 Page document
51:45 is proprietary and you don't want other
51:48 people um to potentially have access to
51:51 it then um then don't put it out in a
51:54 GPT elevator pitch imagine the raw grid
51:59 of deer hunter meets The Haunting
52:00 flashbacks of Jacob's Ladder that's
52:03 pretty cool this screenplay is a
52:05 riveting Journey Through The Eyes of
52:06 Jack a ra rugged fisherman in Gig Harbor
52:08 Washington were thrown into Jack's
52:10 turbulent past and present oscillating
52:12 between his quiet
52:14 solitary life in 1991 and the Vistal
52:17 horrors of Vietnam in 1971 Jack's world
52:20 is filled with poignant encounters from
52:22 a tense poker game with his war buddies
52:24 to a chance to meet ping striking
52:26 Vietnamese woman against a backdrop of
52:29 War which I was actually told someone
52:31 told me ping is not a Vietnamese name um
52:34 which I wrote this thing in 1991 so we
52:36 didn't have chat GPT so I couldn't do
52:38 things like ask hey what are some good
52:41 Vietnamese names I actually would have
52:43 had to go to the library so there you
52:45 have it um back in the present Jack's
52:47 struggle with PTSD is palpable as he's
52:49 haunted by visions of wartime
52:51 experiences especially a harrowing
52:53 incident involving a friend a helicopter
52:55 and a secret heroin deal gone wrong
52:57 salmon flying East is an intense
52:59 emotional exploration of a man grappling
53:01 with the scars of War while trying to
53:03 find solace in the mundane routines of
53:05 his fishing
53:06 life there you go like boom bang done
53:10 read a screen playay that's the that's
53:12 the coverage that that in Hollywood they
53:15 would have paid an intern at a at a
53:18 talent agency lots of money to read you
53:22 know 10 screen plays a week and write up
53:25 uh IES like this for the for the
53:27 agents boom done
53:30 bang Everything Changes these tools are
53:33 going to change everything every piece
53:35 of knowledge work every piece of
53:37 creative work all that sort of stuff so
53:39 anyway that's how you do that hope that
53:41 helps I hope that helps thank you for
53:44 the ice cream coner mandri very nice
53:46 very nice I like do some ice cream ice
53:48 cream's tasty ice cream is tasty tasty
53:50 tasty tasty all
53:54 right
53:59 oh wait you know what I need to do no
54:01 Kyle what this is your channel why don't
54:02 you tell
54:03 us let's not get testy now
54:06 [Laughter]
54:11 people Kyle if you move the blandon's
54:13 bag over a little bit to the right we
54:15 could read we could read the comments
54:17 you know that
54:21 right did we mention it's free oh we did
54:24 not so by the way I was talking earlier
54:26 about the AI Salon this thing go there I
54:31 was talking before like oh you should
54:32 join this thing and you're like oh God
54:34 it's like $100 a month why it oh I get
54:38 it he's just Shilling his his [ __ ]
54:40 company no no the is salon's
54:43 free it don't cost you no money it it it
54:47 is just a place where we can gather we
54:50 we we cover it through sponsorship and
54:53 through um sales from the merch
54:57 store
55:00 um and yeah that's it so anyway thank
55:03 you for that juggler scare me Joker okay
55:07 Joker the the one that created this
55:09 image not that
55:12 [Laughter]
55:18 image wait let's go oh
55:24 look
55:26 the GPT store actually that GPT store
55:31 okay this this has got more features to
55:34 it than the current GPT store this would
55:36 be better who did this this is really
55:37 good Joe mama that's really good let's
55:41 see let's get an image here just just to
55:44 understand who you're working with with
55:45 within the AI Salon the guy that put
55:48 that
55:49 image just said the phrase jugglers
55:52 scare
55:54 me
56:00 oh
56:02 man this is really good this is really
56:05 good I'm just a
56:08 baby this GPT store would have been
56:10 better like if if they use this exact IM
56:14 this exact image and had chat GPT write
56:18 the the searching algorithms to to be
56:21 able to do new releases best sellers and
56:25 special offers this would have been
56:27 better than what they
56:33 launched oh my God U Mr Haney of Green
56:37 Acres selling his gpts to the new
56:39 Farmers from New York
56:43 City oh this is good this is good do do
56:47 I juggle like yes I
56:52 do oh man y'all are
57:02 funny Joker making it making sure that
57:05 no one sleeps
57:06 [Laughter]
57:12 tonight oh my goodness oh my head hurts
57:16 I've been laughing too much I I have
57:19 laugh
57:21 headache and and let's bring it down and
57:24 bringing it down
57:25 yes yes yes welcome to the AI learning
57:28 lab fantastic welcome welcome come on in
57:32 leaning close it's going to be fantastic
57:35 Bob tell him what he's won he hasn't won
57:38 anything he this is not a game show
57:41 right thanks Bob Bob's a bit of a downer
57:45 refresh Show and Tell please uh okay I
57:48 think I just
57:53 did yeah I did oh nice what's that
57:57 one very
58:00 cool oh look at that the GPT store see
58:05 that would oh
58:09 sorry look at that one that's sweet
58:22 sweet Oh Lordy y'all are fun
58:27 see that was a juggler well that juggler
58:29 was terrifying dude
58:38 listen oh it's been way too
58:43 [Music]
58:49 long twirly twirly it's
58:53 fantastic you did it
59:00 [Music]
59:08 why does he sing like that is he just
59:09 trying to get people to leave is that
59:11 what I don't understand this
59:14 channel it seems like he's just
59:16 entertaining himself it's called the AI
59:18 learning lab is he learning anything is
59:20 he teaching anything is anybody learning
59:22 anything what is this
59:26 [Music]
59:31 please hold hold
59:34 [Laughter]
59:40 please I can't delete that from my
59:43 [Laughter]
59:48 memory how about showing the fine folks
59:50 here Kaa but be careful okay I'll go
59:52 show you a couple of things that are
59:53 worth taking a look at all right so let
59:55 me let me just talk in
59:57 general
1:00:01 okay okay
1:00:11 so there's a good lesson in Korea let me
1:00:14 let me see if I can get my thoughts
1:00:23 together okay most of last
1:00:28 year AI tools were all these discreet
1:00:31 separate
1:00:33 tools there was mid journey and stable
1:00:37 diffusion and Adobe Firefly for
1:00:40 images There
1:00:42 Was You Know chat gbt and Bard
1:00:49 and uh whatever they called it at the
1:00:51 time uh Bing Bing chat from Microsoft
1:00:55 soft for Words there were music ones
1:00:58 there were all these discrete
1:01:01 tools and all of them for the most
1:01:06 part had the same exact
1:01:08 requirement for you to be able to use
1:01:11 them which is you needed to become a
1:01:13 prompt
1:01:14 engineer
1:01:15 right so particularly a tool like mid
1:01:19 Journey not only did you have to learn
1:01:21 how to write the prompt to get your
1:01:24 image
1:01:25 you had to learn how to write like
1:01:27 command line commands and you also had
1:01:30 to learn what Discord was and you had to
1:01:32 go to Discord and it was really
1:01:35 confusing because you'd go to a website
1:01:37 called mid journey.com and you'd click
1:01:39 on join the beta and then it would just
1:01:41 teleport you to this entirely different
1:01:44 thing called Discord which if you're not
1:01:46 a gamer you don't know what the [ __ ]
1:01:48 Discord
1:01:49 is and you just be like where where am
1:01:53 I
1:01:57 and then toward the end of the year
1:01:59 toward the end of
1:02:02 2023 things started to shift and and
1:02:09 and and that idea of everything sort of
1:02:14 requiring the same skill is quickly
1:02:16 going away and So Korea represents a new
1:02:19 breed of tool as does Dolly 3 so Dolly 3
1:02:23 let me flip over here
1:02:26 so so let me go show you mid Journey
1:02:27 let's let's let's jump over to the to
1:02:30 the AI Salon Discord channel so so here
1:02:32 I am in in mid Journey or in Discord in
1:02:35 the mid Journey channel so if I want to
1:02:38 create an image in mid Journey I've got
1:02:40 to type slash
1:02:43 imagine and then it'll pull up a list
1:02:45 and I can click on it or I can finish
1:02:46 typing it and then it gives me this
1:02:48 little prompt box so the so the first
1:02:51 thing you need to do when creating an
1:02:54 image
1:02:55 is become a programmer right so it's
1:02:57 like this thing is counterintuitive on
1:02:59 about 30 different levels the reason you
1:03:02 would take the time to learn something
1:03:04 like mid journey is that it makes images
1:03:06 better than any of the other tools out
1:03:08 there it still does it's still kind of
1:03:09 the best so I could say um 70s uh
1:03:15 muscle car in lime
1:03:20 green with uh let's see
1:03:26 craer
1:03:27 mags and side
1:03:31 pipes in an
1:03:35 abandoned
1:03:36 Factory and then I'm going to
1:03:39 put Dash Das AR space 16 colon
1:03:45 9 but Kyle why are you doing that why
1:03:50 are you doing D- AR 16 colon9 well
1:03:54 because if if it's not obvious to you
1:03:56 when you want to add a modifier to a
1:03:58 prompt in mid Journey you type Dash Dash
1:04:00 and the abbreviation for that feature
1:04:04 and then the parameters AR stands for
1:04:06 aspect ratio 169 is the aspect ratio so
1:04:10 it's just it's kind of [ __ ]
1:04:11 ridiculous right but you do that and
1:04:14 then it's going to go off and do its
1:04:15 thing and it's going to make a a really
1:04:16 beautiful image and then that's why you
1:04:18 put up with that so so this was sort of
1:04:22 the this was how you made images and
1:04:23 stable diffusion was even worse because
1:04:25 stable diffusion you had to get
1:04:30 the you had to get a web interface up
1:04:34 and running on your own local
1:04:37 machine that that would then um
1:04:41 call uh a virtual machine up in the
1:04:44 cloud that had gpus like it it was a
1:04:46 nightmare to set up but but anyway so so
1:04:50 here we are this is making the uh making
1:04:52 the the cool image we's see we'll see
1:04:54 what they do here these are not bad it
1:04:56 did a challenger which is probably the
1:04:59 appropriate car for it to create and
1:05:01 they're a little janky and weird but
1:05:03 that's
1:05:04 okay like that one this one here on the
1:05:06 bottom somewhere between like a a
1:05:09 challenger and
1:05:11 a
1:05:13 javelin and this has got kind of yeah
1:05:16 these are these are all weird sort of
1:05:18 hybrid things but I didn't specify a
1:05:19 model but anyway all right so that's mid
1:05:22 Journey um then we go to next Evolution
1:05:26 I think in the evolution of these things
1:05:29 was um was chat
1:05:32 GPT so built into chat GPT 4 also built
1:05:36 into co-pilot you can also do this on
1:05:39 co-pilot is Dolly 3 so I can now say
1:05:43 similarly and and what I can do here
1:05:45 without any
1:05:46 codes make me a 16x9
1:05:50 wide image of a 1970 muscle car in lime
1:05:56 green sitting in an abandoned
1:06:00 Factory and chat GPT is now actually
1:06:04 doing the prompting so where it says
1:06:06 creating image images here it's taking
1:06:09 my shitty prompt and it's taking its
1:06:12 knowledge of how to prompt its image
1:06:13 engine and it's rewriting The Prompt in
1:06:15 the back end I don't know if you knew
1:06:18 that it did that but that's that's how
1:06:20 Dolly works and so all of a sudden I and
1:06:24 actually I kind of like that better than
1:06:26 what mid Journey came up with which is
1:06:28 that's a surprise to me that you know
1:06:30 that that sort of got to something more
1:06:32 pleasing for me than mid Journey that
1:06:35 that quickly um and what you can do if
1:06:37 you're on an image and you click on this
1:06:40 I here is the The Prompt that it wrote
1:06:43 so um chat GPT wrote this prompt a 1970s
1:06:48 muscle car painted in a striking lime
1:06:50 green is stationed in the midst of an
1:06:52 abandoned Factory blah blah blah blah
1:06:54 blah blah blah
1:06:56 um the big deal about creating images in
1:07:00 chat GPT is even though I started with
1:07:03 just make me an image as the initial
1:07:04 prompt you don't have to start
1:07:07 with um I I'll Kim I'll get to co-pilot
1:07:11 in a second um co-pilot's interesting to
1:07:14 me co-pilot should be a lot better than
1:07:16 it is um but it's free so so I I like
1:07:19 copilot a lot I wish I liked it more um
1:07:25 you could be having a whole conversation
1:07:27 with chat GPT about marketing your
1:07:29 business or you know coming up with uh
1:07:32 interior design ideas you know or or
1:07:36 just you know fun fun for your room and
1:07:40 then you could say say after having all
1:07:42 the conversation about funu principles
1:07:46 you could say um show me what a room
1:07:49 might look like that that aderes to the
1:07:52 principles we've been talking about and
1:07:53 it will just WR a prompt in the
1:07:55 background that will take into
1:07:57 consideration all of that conversation
1:07:59 you've had above it so the skill here
1:08:02 becomes very very different right you
1:08:04 can you can still do prompt engineering
1:08:06 but it's not as required it's a
1:08:08 different skill set and then what's
1:08:11 what's showed up here in the past I
1:08:14 don't know what's it been four weeks six
1:08:16 weeks stable diffusion released a thing
1:08:19 called stable diffusion XL turbo no you
1:08:22 don't need to know that it doesn't
1:08:24 [ __ ] matter but a whole bunch of
1:08:26 tools have now adopted that and what
1:08:28 stable
1:08:30 diffusion XL turbo does is it renders
1:08:34 images in real time so like this thing
1:08:37 took whatever it took 10 15 seconds mid
1:08:40 Journey took 10 15
1:08:42 seconds this this XL turbo thing does it
1:08:47 in real time so so the one I'll show you
1:08:49 that I'm going to show you three
1:08:51 different tools including Kaa um oh wait
1:08:55 before I get off this let me talk about
1:08:56 co-pilot so co-pilot is Microsoft's
1:08:59 version version of chat gbt it also uses
1:09:02 Dolly 3 as the image generation tool so
1:09:05 I can in
1:09:10 co-pilot create a 16x9 wide image of a
1:09:16 1970s lime green muscle
1:09:18 car sitting in an abandoned Factory with
1:09:23 sun beaming through the broken
1:09:27 windows um the one thing that co-pilot
1:09:30 can't do is it won't do the 16x9 wide it
1:09:33 only makes Square images for whatever
1:09:35 reason they didn't program in aspect
1:09:38 ratios what I think is I think is just
1:09:40 stupid but
1:09:41 whatever um here's the deal with
1:09:44 co-pilot is this is using the same
1:09:48 technology that chat GPT uses the the
1:09:51 GPT 4 backend and Dolly 3 it's using the
1:09:54 same same core
1:09:55 Technologies um but the the actual app
1:09:58 itself for for what co-pilot is um has
1:10:02 got a lot more safety guard rails on it
1:10:04 than chat GPT does and so I find it
1:10:07 really limiting because of that but here
1:10:09 you are like these are good solid images
1:10:14 right good solid images that first one
1:10:16 was the best one but you know that
1:10:18 that's essentially exactly what I asked
1:10:20 for so the nice thing about co-pilot is
1:10:23 it's completely free now they rate limit
1:10:26 you and you can't do things and if you
1:10:28 try to make an image it doesn't like
1:10:30 it'll shut down the conversation and
1:10:31 there there's all sorts of things that
1:10:33 are very frustrating about co-pilot but
1:10:35 it's free so if you don't have the 20
1:10:37 bucks a month co-pilot's [ __ ] awesome
1:10:41 because it is chat gp4 or no it is gp4
1:10:44 it's Microsoft's version of chat
1:10:47 gp4 but it is gp4 under the hood and it
1:10:50 is Dolly 3 under the hood and they've
1:10:52 now incorporated sunno into this and
1:10:54 it's got Bing web search in it so yeah
1:10:57 it's it's a free alternative to chat
1:11:01 gp4 okay so now let's let's go to the
1:11:04 next evolution of of image generation
1:11:07 this real time stuff the first thing I'm
1:11:10 going to go to is I think it's app. Deco
1:11:12 here hang on a
1:11:14 sec
1:11:15 yeah go to app a. decohere
1:11:21 d h r e
1:11:27 a SLT turbo but I'm going to the SL
1:11:30 turbo part but just go to app. deoh
1:11:37 here. and so now I'm in Turbo so it says
1:11:39 start typing so check this out so we'll
1:11:44 do
1:11:47 1970 so did you see what just happened
1:11:50 when it was like 19 I think it went to
1:11:53 like 19th century right and then I do
1:11:55 seven 197 it did that and then I do 70
1:11:59 and it did that I Go
1:12:01 70s look look it just went to a muscle
1:12:04 car
1:12:05 1970s um muscle
1:12:09 car look like and it went to a green
1:12:12 Challenger isn't that amazing 1970s
1:12:14 muscle car um
1:12:17 in an
1:12:22 abandoned
1:12:29 factory
1:12:32 factory with sun streaming Through the
1:12:44 Windows and then the other thing that
1:12:46 you can do here is I can now say well a
1:12:49 couple of things so I can I can um just
1:12:52 flip
1:12:54 through a whole bunch of these things
1:12:57 it's it's been creating and then if I
1:12:58 don't like anything it's like I can do
1:13:01 uh let's
1:13:02 1970s
1:13:05 shiny lime green muscle car boom like
1:13:09 like just boom now it's shining in lime
1:13:11 green with sun streaming through
1:13:15 the broken wait
1:13:21 uh broken windows
1:13:28 piercing the dusty
1:13:35 air and then I can just kind of flip
1:13:39 through these till I get to one I like
1:13:41 like I like the mags on that those are
1:13:43 like Keystone mags and now I can just
1:13:46 click generate
1:13:48 video and is there a way for me
1:13:52 to I don't think there's a way for me
1:13:57 to
1:14:00 um like give it directions for how to
1:14:03 make the video but I say generate video
1:14:05 and so now it's going to take this image
1:14:07 and it's going to turn it into you know
1:14:10 a video
1:14:14 animation and I can upgrade if I want it
1:14:17 faster so so for me all of a
1:14:22 sudden
1:14:24 image
1:14:25 generation changes like
1:14:28 like learning to be very very
1:14:30 intentional with mid journey and
1:14:32 learning all the skills and learning all
1:14:34 of the parameters and doing all that
1:14:36 gives you a lot of
1:14:38 control chat GPT by incorporating image
1:14:42 generation within the
1:14:45 chat allows you to create im images in a
1:14:48 larger context a tool like this that
1:14:52 that is
1:14:54 like literally as you're typing morphing
1:14:57 that image all of a sudden it's giving
1:15:00 you instant feedback and it it's it's
1:15:02 less about the prompt and and more about
1:15:05 you kind of editing in real time like oh
1:15:09 that was interesting I like the
1:15:10 direction that went and then how do I
1:15:12 how do I run down that channel so it's
1:15:13 more like jazz
1:15:16 right so the the evolution of how we
1:15:19 prompt images is is changing you know as
1:15:23 using these tools as we're
1:15:26 mastering mid Journey do comes along and
1:15:29 changes the game and then this realtime
1:15:31 stuff comes along and changes the game
1:15:33 and now we can turn images into videos
1:15:35 which changes the game because now I
1:15:38 think about that's at 22% now I think
1:15:40 about well well what would be an image
1:15:44 that I could use that would make a good
1:15:45 video is completely different then I
1:15:48 want to make an image that's a a really
1:15:50 cool still
1:15:52 image right
1:15:54 so and then and then we'll we'll hop
1:15:56 over to Kaa and um into Leonardo both of
1:16:01 those are interesting I've got to put
1:16:04 this thing you know what I'm going to
1:16:07 [Laughter]
1:16:16 do I am going to go add
1:16:21 this in our image creation area I'm
1:16:24 going to add it between Kaa and
1:16:41 Leonardo yeah let's see I'll do that
1:16:44 I'll do that I'll do that I'll
1:16:48 do that I'll do
1:16:52 that
1:16:55 let's
1:16:56 see hold
1:17:03 please let's see let's call this Deco
1:17:07 here so so see this is happening in real
1:17:11 time
1:17:13 people I'm going to break that link I'm
1:17:16 going to add a link I'm going to paste
1:17:18 in that and we're going to
1:17:21 go app do dcoh here. a
1:17:27 SL
1:17:32 turbo and then I'm going to make this
1:17:44 blue
1:17:52 oops
1:17:55 um
1:17:57 just go here and play there you
1:18:02 go save oh wait let me I'm going to
1:18:04 update when I updated this so this was
1:18:07 updated
1:18:09 112
1:18:12 1 12 20 24 look at that up up in the uh
1:18:18 the date we're going to save this all
1:18:21 right so that's in there so let's go
1:18:23 back to Deco here let's go look at the
1:18:24 movie this
1:18:27 made
1:18:30 nice look at that like you could throw
1:18:33 that right into a music video and no one
1:18:36 would know the difference they wouldn't
1:18:38 know that that wasn't that wasn't
1:18:40 exactly a
1:18:44 challenger but like that's a slick
1:18:46 smooth no
1:18:49 flicker
1:18:52 video out of out of nothing like like
1:18:55 you know invent it in real time so let's
1:18:56 go to Kaa so I'm going to go to kore.ai
1:19:04 and so there's a bunch of things you can
1:19:06 do here this has got an upscaler in it
1:19:08 so you can play with the upscaler let me
1:19:09 sign in because I think I have to be
1:19:11 signed in to do this I think Kaa is free
1:19:15 right now but I'm not sure um but
1:19:18 they've got real-time image generation
1:19:19 so if I go here you're going to see
1:19:22 weirdness
1:19:24 okay
1:19:26 so wait hang on let me make this a
1:19:28 little smaller so it fits in the little
1:19:31 the little tick tocky thing okay so so
1:19:33 some some interface stuff going on here
1:19:36 you've got uh you can upload an image
1:19:40 you can um use your webcam as an input
1:19:44 that's the one that I I got uh perab
1:19:46 band from Tik tock on cuz it made a it
1:19:49 made a lady with her lady bits showing
1:19:52 and it was like like you've been
1:19:53 permanently banned from Tik Tok I was
1:19:55 like [ __ ] um and then it's got little
1:19:58 shapes so I can draw so so the so the
1:20:00 way this works is you've got a prompt
1:20:03 The Prompt down here says pink frog on
1:20:05 top of a blue mushroom which is what
1:20:06 that is but it's taking its composition
1:20:09 and layout from what's over here so if I
1:20:12 move these
1:20:14 things let's see I can do
1:20:20 that and then all of a sudden it's not
1:20:22 updating anymore come on what's going
1:20:25 on come on
1:20:28 you let me change that me go back to
1:20:32 that um no style there we go all right
1:20:36 so if I re resize
1:20:38 this it just automatically resizes it so
1:20:41 again this idea of
1:20:43 jazz it's not re re redoing it
1:20:47 again oh you know what this
1:20:52 is
1:20:54 this is
1:20:55 uh thanks Microsoft this is Microsoft
1:20:59 Edge uh crapping the bed on us so let me
1:21:02 quit Microsoft Edge Kyle why are you
1:21:05 using Microsoft Edge you know if you
1:21:07 used chrome it wouldn't have such memory
1:21:09 is I know you weirdos
1:21:16 Edge now I got to log into all my [ __ ]
1:21:18 again this is really annoying thank you
1:21:21 Microsoft for being a janky piece of
1:21:24 [ __ ] keeping up with all the AI stuff
1:21:27 being janky pieces of [ __ ] yeah yeah
1:21:30 yeah yeah Microsoft is
1:21:34 awful but at least they make crappy
1:21:36 software Microsoft is awful but at least
1:21:41 their software
1:21:45 sucks
1:21:48 okay oh I got to check my phone I'll be
1:21:50 back I got to check my phone I'll be
1:21:52 back
1:21:55 17 Factor authentication how can I help
1:22:01 you all right back to Korea a you know
1:22:05 Kyle I was very into this but then you
1:22:08 quit I don't I didn't understand and
1:22:10 then you were badmouthing Microsoft
1:22:12 they're just a corporation just trying
1:22:13 to exist in this world I don't think you
1:22:15 need to be so aggressive with them is
1:22:18 this not working still what is going on
1:22:20 with
1:22:21 Korea okay is weirding out maybe maybe
1:22:24 the issue is not Microsoft
1:22:27 maybe I was premature in
1:22:31 my
1:22:33 quism my quism of the
1:22:37 Microsoft um paintbrush let's do
1:22:43 green and let's do
1:22:48 a it is not
1:22:52 working
1:22:55 nope it are not working that's weird all
1:22:59 right
1:23:00 anyway oops something broke reload the
1:23:03 page or try again yeah it looks like
1:23:04 they just there you
1:23:06 go reinfor re reinforcing my my my uh oh
1:23:13 wait I wonder if this is my wait slider
1:23:15 to 34 30 to 401 using the
1:23:18 camera yeah it looks like Kaa just went
1:23:20 down let's let's flip over to Leonardo
1:23:22 for a second
1:23:24 Joker keeps trying to tell you to move
1:23:25 the slider yep okay got it I got it
1:23:28 Joker um we'll come back to this when
1:23:30 it's working but let we're going to go
1:23:32 over to Leonardo right now
1:23:35 Leonardo
1:23:37 doai so Leonardo is another one
1:23:40 Leonardo's an app worth
1:23:43 learning um because so so what Leonardo
1:23:47 is doing is they're taking a lot of
1:23:50 the um everything that gets released by
1:23:54 stable diffusion they're putting it into
1:23:56 this web interface so they've now got an
1:23:59 image generation tool a realtime canvas
1:24:01 which is what we were just playing with
1:24:03 with Kaa they've got a canvas editor
1:24:05 where you can do In-N-Out painting and
1:24:07 they've got a motion thing where you can
1:24:09 make movies um so you can do all of this
1:24:12 from within Leonardo and it's got all
1:24:14 you can also train it on your own models
1:24:16 there's all sorts of cool stuff here
1:24:18 here here's other people's models the
1:24:19 these are images they've made using
1:24:21 models that they've either created are
1:24:23 used um so so lots of cool things to do
1:24:26 here but if you go to realtime
1:24:28 canvas it's a similar sort of thing
1:24:31 where I can pick a color so I can pick
1:24:33 that green like I was just
1:24:37 doing
1:24:39 and you know start and right now this
1:24:43 has got no
1:24:50 prompt uh uh uh uh
1:24:57 right and so just in real time it
1:25:01 is making all that Blobby stuff and then
1:25:04 somewhere down here oh here it is so I
1:25:06 can just type in a prompt like um let's
1:25:09 see um
1:25:11 electric
1:25:12 arcs from a Tesla
1:25:19 coil and you know now it makes electric
1:25:21 arcs and I could probably even you know
1:25:24 Tesla coil it I can also upload a
1:25:27 picture
1:25:28 here let's see interactive
1:25:32 mode and then I can also
1:25:35 change Styles so there's
1:25:39 cinematic there's Dynamic here's concept
1:25:44 art here's
1:25:47 anime right so you can
1:25:50 just you know just pick these different
1:25:52 Styles and again
1:25:55 so I prompted
1:25:57 here but I don't even need to prompt
1:26:00 like I can just get rid of that and just
1:26:02 draw stuff and just play around with you
1:26:07 know these different styles and see what
1:26:09 shows up like photography like there's
1:26:12 some crazy ass photography
1:26:14 thing and then now I can there's this
1:26:16 button here I can say output to input I
1:26:18 can take that output and make that the
1:26:20 input image and then
1:26:23 and then go you know do crazy ass things
1:26:28 from that input image and I can make
1:26:30 that the input image and now I can right
1:26:33 so all of a sudden now am I
1:26:37 prompting am I image generating am I
1:26:41 editing am I
1:26:45 curating puts on Microsoft here it
1:26:49 here
1:26:51 um
1:26:55 that's pretty
1:26:57 funny that's a good one
1:27:02 Danielle Kyle needs a shock collar oh
1:27:06 it's so true can you create an image of
1:27:09 a turtle juggling hedgehogs of course I
1:27:11 can let's
1:27:14 do
1:27:17 turtle
1:27:20 turtle no tu r t l e
1:27:27 juggling
1:27:30 hedgehogs all right so let's do we have
1:27:32 an eraser here yes is that an eraser yes
1:27:36 all right so we're going to get rid of
1:27:38 this
1:27:43 crap and then we're going to get a dark
1:27:45 green for the we're going to get turtle
1:27:48 green and we're going to go uh
1:27:50 paintbrush we're going to go
1:27:54 there's our
1:27:55 Turtle
1:27:57 nice and then we're going to get head
1:28:00 hedgehog
1:28:04 colored
1:28:11 balls
1:28:13 right come on be
1:28:19 hedgehogs wait maybe we got to get
1:28:21 that's cinematic maybe we need concept
1:28:22 art there's there's sort of a turtle
1:28:26 juggling hedgehogs environment fantasy
1:28:29 art should do
1:28:31 it it's got them doing Turtles oh
1:28:33 because there's all this green [ __ ]
1:28:34 around here let me get rid of all
1:28:39 [Music]
1:28:44 that it's still do that but
1:28:48 anyway there you go Turtle hedgehogs all
1:28:51 right now is it did any good no but how
1:28:55 did I get here through prompting not
1:28:58 really not
1:29:01 really let me go back to Korea see if
1:29:03 it's back
1:29:05 alive or see if we broke it Kaa open
1:29:10 Beta open Beta open Beta open
1:29:15 Beta design at the speed of thought
1:29:17 unless the sight's
1:29:21 down there we go look at that
1:29:27 gorgeous beautiful
1:29:31 okay so now it seems to be working so
1:29:34 that's
1:29:40 [Music]
1:29:44 cool and then what's cool with Korea is
1:29:47 it's got this little
1:29:49 um whatever you call it roll the dice
1:29:52 thing and it'll just change up the
1:29:54 prompt and this is where I got to be
1:29:56 careful cuz cuz it could make a prompt
1:29:58 that oh now it's not doing it oh there
1:30:00 it goes so this is a Timber house in
1:30:03 Germany there's floating
1:30:06 islands gravity defying waterfalls those
1:30:09 are actually really
1:30:10 cool a massive Crystal Clear
1:30:15 something right and so again you know
1:30:18 and and then there's different styles
1:30:19 over here on the
1:30:21 right cinematic
1:30:24 illustration yeah this thing's really
1:30:26 janky tonight it's just not updating
1:30:28 stuff there it goes
1:30:30 product
1:30:33 Bloom
1:30:34 illustration cinematic
1:30:37 beautiful um and then the thing Joker
1:30:40 was talking about where Is It joker that
1:30:43 I do the the style percentage is it here
1:30:48 no that's quick
1:30:49 enhance download image
1:30:53 send to enhance overlay
1:30:58 view ah here we
1:31:02 go okay so I'm gonna I'm GNA risk the
1:31:07 fates
1:31:09 here so what we're going to do is we're
1:31:13 going to
1:31:15 put my
1:31:19 webcam but now it's still not doing
1:31:23 the Oh see it went right to making me a
1:31:26 [ __ ]
1:31:31 chick so now it is making a
1:31:36 landscape using the input of my
1:31:41 camera but it keeps crapping out this
1:31:44 this really
1:31:48 [Music]
1:31:49 frustrating there we go see damn dang
1:31:53 [Music]
1:31:55 it wait let me let me just turn this
1:31:58 away until I can get it to not make
1:32:00 chicks
1:32:02 okay
1:32:04 Jesus all right so as I'm
1:32:06 moving it's Chang and obviously if I had
1:32:09 a person there you
1:32:13 know so you know I can make like that
1:32:17 and then
1:32:20 and so all of a sudden
1:32:25 so so our our Evolution just just
1:32:27 tonight we started with mid Journey as
1:32:29 you've got to learn command line
1:32:31 [ __ ] to we went to you can make images
1:32:34 in the context of a chat GPT
1:32:37 chat to to you know doing these these
1:32:42 real time things and to this where
1:32:46 it's this is interactive art right this
1:32:49 is performance
1:32:51 art and like how do you stop that when
1:32:53 do you stop I don't know like is there a
1:32:56 way to record this so you can probably
1:32:58 like you know I'm not I I don't know the
1:33:01 software well enough to know it but
1:33:03 but the whole point
1:33:08 of let let me wait let me get rid of
1:33:11 this because it's really
1:33:14 distracting
1:33:16 um Let Me Go philosophize a
1:33:21 bit it thinks you are a mountain I know
1:33:23 cuz I told it to cuz if I tell it to
1:33:25 make me a person it's going to make some
1:33:27 hot chick with her lady bits out and I'm
1:33:29 going to get Perma
1:33:32 band I wish Tik Tok didn't have that
1:33:35 stupid AI in it so I could show AI [ __ ]
1:33:38 the higher the slider the more it thinks
1:33:40 on its own and ignores the camera image
1:33:42 oh that's cool okay great yeah so
1:33:44 there's that little slider on the right
1:33:45 hand side so you can make it you know
1:33:48 closer to what the input image is or
1:33:50 farther away
1:33:53 but think
1:33:55 about the skills of the human beings
1:34:00 using these
1:34:01 tools there are going to be
1:34:04 people that are [ __ ] brilliant at Mid
1:34:07 Journey that are going to suck at Korea
1:34:11 there are going to be people that Master
1:34:13 Korea that are like [ __ ] magicians
1:34:16 just wave their hands and and make
1:34:20 masterpieces so
1:34:23 the the the when I when I talk in this
1:34:25 Channel about there are no experts the
1:34:28 reason there are no experts is that all
1:34:30 of the people that thought they had
1:34:32 their [ __ ] together and they were like
1:34:33 mid Journey
1:34:37 bosses may or may not be bosses when the
1:34:40 next kind of Technology comes
1:34:43 along and when we get the the next
1:34:47 iteration of chat GPT where it's even
1:34:50 more multimodal where it's doing audio
1:34:52 and video and all that sort of stuff and
1:34:54 when we get Gemini Ultra which is going
1:34:57 to have a completely different interface
1:34:59 than just text entry it's going to have
1:35:00 you're going to be able to put objects
1:35:03 on a on a like a canvas and mix and
1:35:06 match them and create [ __ ] out of the
1:35:10 [ __ ]
1:35:12 um that's why no one knows anything
1:35:15 because we have no idea what skills are
1:35:18 going to be required to use these tools
1:35:20 we don't know what these tools can do
1:35:22 we don't know what they make
1:35:26 possible as as as the as the lines blur
1:35:31 like
1:35:32 Leonardo for most of
1:35:35 2023 was an image generation app you
1:35:39 could train it on your own photographs
1:35:41 or images you could generate
1:35:45 images and now it's got this real time
1:35:48 thing in it it's got a movie generator
1:35:50 in it at some point stable diffusion is
1:35:53 going to release a music model stability
1:35:56 AI is going to release a music model so
1:35:58 it'll have music in
1:36:00 it at some point they'll probably put
1:36:03 game mechanics in it and 3D World
1:36:05 mechanics in
1:36:08 it and so as as these tools that right
1:36:11 now are these separate tools start to do
1:36:14 this well what skills required I don't
1:36:18 have a
1:36:20 clue
1:36:22 maybe the person that can imagine the
1:36:25 most creative
1:36:27 game and describe it well and can use
1:36:31 all the tools within Leonardo is going
1:36:34 to make a hit
1:36:36 game and maybe they've never been a game
1:36:38 developer before and they're not an
1:36:40 artist and they're not a coder and
1:36:42 they're not a musician and they're not a
1:36:44 character animator and they're not an
1:36:46 illustrator and
1:36:48 yet they had a funky idea for a game and
1:36:52 they could think in this sort of crazy
1:36:55 straw kind of
1:36:57 way this is this is why I say I think
1:37:00 the era that we're entering is what I'm
1:37:02 calling revenge of the liberal arts
1:37:04 major I think if you think Super
1:37:06 vertically and super specialized if you
1:37:08 went to school for one thing and got
1:37:11 your master's degree and your PhD for
1:37:13 this one
1:37:15 thing I think in the next 3 years that
1:37:17 becomes a disadvantage that becomes a
1:37:19 liability now are there going to be
1:37:22 people that still just do one thing
1:37:25 absolutely but there is a a shift in
1:37:30 power coming to people that can think
1:37:33 across disciplines are going to be
1:37:35 higher valued when all of the tools go
1:37:38 across disciplines so people whose Minds
1:37:42 do this really well I don't know what
1:37:45 that is but it's like here's all the
1:37:47 different all of my fingers are a
1:37:48 different discipline right here's
1:37:50 animation here's music Here's Dr drawing
1:37:52 here's
1:37:52 writing here's
1:37:55 directing people whose brains can grock
1:37:59 the whole
1:38:01 picture are going to be really valued
1:38:04 when the tools can do
1:38:06 everything it doesn't mean that
1:38:08 Specialists go go go away but right now
1:38:12 people whose brains do this are devalued
1:38:15 oh you're just a
1:38:16 generalist
1:38:18 yeah hey how's that Philosophy degree
1:38:21 working out for
1:38:23 you I'll be over here doing my deep
1:38:28 mathematics well all of a
1:38:31 sudden that cross thinking philosophical
1:38:37 juggling coder
1:38:40 type is going to be in demand and so the
1:38:43 value of of that is going to go
1:38:46 up so if you're a
1:38:49 generalist part's about to begin again
1:38:51 if you're a specialist you better get
1:38:54 comfortable with being able to deal
1:38:56 with Edgar just to share image upscaler
1:39:00 media.io upscales your images to 20 20
1:39:04 by 20K wow that's pretty big image up
1:39:07 IMG upscaler
1:39:10 media.io let me go look at that if it's
1:39:13 if it's one of those things IMG upscaler
1:39:18 do media.io all these don't main names
1:39:22 with the [ __ ] doio at the end do XYZ
1:39:25 do
1:39:27 whatever okay cool it looks like it's
1:39:29 semiopen sourcy kind of stuff
1:39:34 cool IMG upscaler media.io drag and drop
1:39:38 your file and it upscales it to 20 by
1:39:40 20K by 20K which is [ __ ] huge which
1:39:43 is
1:39:44 awesome um yeah there's a new there's a
1:39:47 new commercial thing out there called
1:39:49 magn that just went to 10 k x 10K and
1:39:53 that's um 35 bucks a month so having
1:39:56 something like this that's free that's
1:39:57 good to know about um but there's you
1:40:00 know uh uh Leonardo does
1:40:04 upscaling um I think that Deco here does
1:40:07 it I think Korea does it personal AI
1:40:11 will have the Major
1:40:13 Impact starting with rabbit R1 as an
1:40:17 early entry is it personal AI is what
1:40:20 what they're called Drew did you order
1:40:22 the R1 Drew I got I ordered one so if
1:40:25 you don't know what the R1 is this is
1:40:27 cool Kyle can you please post your
1:40:28 speech about generalist on
1:40:32 YouTube so I can send it to everyone I
1:40:34 know the the one I just gave the little
1:40:37 the little screed I just did there how
1:40:40 where where are we we're we're at an
1:40:42 hour 40 in let me take a note
1:40:46 um Source
1:40:50 camp
1:40:52 so 140 um what did I talk about
1:40:57 uh
1:41:00 generalist yes I will do it I'll either
1:41:02 do it as a
1:41:05 um as a Tik Tok or as a
1:41:09 YouTube um
1:41:12 for Source
1:41:16 Camp um yeah absolutely yeah I I know it
1:41:20 so
1:41:25 um it's not going to happen right away
1:41:28 either I think it's going to catch
1:41:29 people off
1:41:31 guard Kelly
1:41:34 because we've got such an elitist
1:41:37 [ __ ] like the the whole whole of
1:41:39 higher
1:41:41 education devalues generalists and and
1:41:44 pushes people towards
1:41:46 specialization it happens in medicine it
1:41:48 happens in the creative arts it happens
1:41:50 in business
1:41:52 if you're a specialist you make more
1:41:54 money just the way it is why because
1:41:59 before generative AI Only The Specialist
1:42:02 could have deep enough knowledge to be
1:42:04 able to do that
1:42:06 specialty sometimes it's a skill thing
1:42:08 right sometimes you need to go deep to
1:42:09 be able to have physical dexterity skill
1:42:12 those things are still going to be
1:42:13 required in some cases but you know a
1:42:16 lot of times not right if if this
1:42:20 generative AI stuff can do music theory
1:42:23 and composition as good as someone who's
1:42:26 been doing it for 30 years you're like
1:42:28 Well it can't do it now I'm like okay
1:42:30 give it two years and it will and if it
1:42:34 can do illustration and animation and
1:42:36 coding and this the as good as people
1:42:39 have been doing those Specialties for
1:42:41 years well then supply and demand you
1:42:45 don't need as many of those Specialists
1:42:47 what you need are people that can direct
1:42:52 produce
1:42:54 curate pull it all together that's a
1:42:57 different brain it's a totally different
1:42:59 brain I'm trying to identify which AI is
1:43:02 being used by a Creator named horror
1:43:05 daily can you look and ID horror daily
1:43:10 uh let's hope hopefully I'll leave it in
1:43:12 the little small window
1:43:16 horror daily
1:43:20 dayly
1:43:23 AI the nightmare
1:43:26 machine did I spell that wrong or
1:43:32 daily the daily
1:43:35 dead give me
1:43:44 a there's too much stuff coming up
1:43:46 you're you're going to have to give me a
1:43:50 URL
1:43:52 joer the mighty I I'm happy to look but
1:43:55 um I need I need a URL because there's
1:43:57 just too much stuff's coming up for
1:43:59 horror who's been who has been telling
1:44:02 me for years to be a
1:44:05 specialist wait who has
1:44:08 been oh I had that conversation today
1:44:11 with my friends who's been telling you
1:44:13 for years to become a specialist exactly
1:44:15 oh my god did anyone know the
1:44:17 GPT yeah exactly wait
1:44:22 anyone know the GP GPT Marketplace is
1:44:26 live now yeah a human being we talked
1:44:28 about it earlier um so um it's there
1:44:32 it's it's very
1:44:35 thin let's put it that way it is it is
1:44:38 lacking so many basic features that it
1:44:40 needs to have that it's just show and
1:44:43 tell check in time show and tell all
1:44:47 right let's go
1:44:50 to
1:44:51 a salon the
1:44:54 AI we say we say Salon because it's
1:44:59 French I didn't realize we were learning
1:45:01 a separate language here this is I okay
1:45:05 I didn't come to the learning lab to
1:45:06 actually learn something okay I came
1:45:08 here for the
1:45:10 jokes Salon we no we pronounced it salon
1:45:14 and we go there we get our Manny
1:45:17 Petty everybody I think everybody knows
1:45:20 that good
1:45:21 Lord Fon no no I I am a conscientious
1:45:27 objector to that kind of
1:45:29 thinking all
1:45:31 right
1:45:33 censor juggling there you go juggling a
1:45:37 turtle juggling hedgehogs it's it's like
1:45:39 we've always
1:45:40 [Laughter]
1:45:44 wanted
1:45:45 oh see is that Cindy yeah listen Cindy
1:45:50 you can't just you can't just replace
1:45:54 every animal with a raccoon it's not how
1:45:56 it
1:45:57 works it this is this is very species
1:46:01 you're you're a speciesist I I hate to
1:46:03 say it you're a speciesist and and you
1:46:06 know the the the turtle people are going
1:46:09 to be very upset I think one of our
1:46:12 values is inclusion and and trying to be
1:46:15 inclusive I think you're being quite
1:46:17 quite
1:46:19 speciesist you're right
1:46:21 who did that joker oh digital Danny
1:46:23 that's really good that reminds me of
1:46:26 remember the remember in the 70s the the
1:46:29 stickers of like like the it was like
1:46:31 the rat rod like the Dragsters and they
1:46:34 always had like the guy that was all
1:46:36 tweaked out driving the drag store
1:46:38 that's what they looked like that's
1:46:40 really
1:46:42 good that looks disturbingly like me I
1:46:45 don't like whoever did this Daniel Togos
1:46:48 or is that just or is that you is that
1:46:50 an actual ual
1:46:52 photograph or is that a that must be an
1:46:55 actual photograph cuz it's too blurry to
1:46:56 be a uh a thing that's really cool Deco
1:47:01 here create what can't be filmed yep
1:47:04 okay good I'm glad you put that in there
1:47:06 very
1:47:08 nice okay that's just that's just
1:47:12 rude this is the problem the problem
1:47:14 with AI and my face is sometimes it's
1:47:17 just like yeah you're
1:47:18 450 you're easily 450 50
1:47:23 dude oh man these are
1:47:30 great look at all the balls in the
1:47:32 background he's at the like the juggling
1:47:34 bizaar in the Middle
1:47:38 East Sideshow Kyle yeah that's that's
1:47:42 actually a little closer to the truth
1:47:43 than I'd like to admit there's Joker
1:47:46 Joker making everyone happy
1:47:49 tonight
1:47:53 I think we should submit these designs
1:47:55 for the for the GPT store to open AI say
1:47:57 Hey listen we we're we're we're here to
1:48:00 help you out like what you put out there
1:48:02 was pathetic so uh we got some we got
1:48:04 some stuff for you here you go that that
1:48:08 would be a better interface to the GPT
1:48:10 store than what they
1:48:12 have [ __ ] crazy awesome awesome
1:48:17 awesome I like it I like it it you
1:48:21 people are good you people are good
1:48:27 people good
1:48:30 Lord what time we got all right got a
1:48:32 few more minutes few more
1:48:37 minutes all right that yeah that
1:48:39 generalist thing again when's that going
1:48:42 to
1:48:44 happen it's going to start happening in
1:48:49 2024
1:48:51 again I keep going back to this 2023 the
1:48:54 last normal year actually do me a favor
1:48:57 Irregulars come up with some cool
1:48:59 concepts for 2023 the last normal year
1:49:02 let's get Show and Tell full of some of
1:49:03 that Meme because I think it that it
1:49:05 feels like a really important meme to
1:49:07 Me Maybe we even start sharing that out
1:49:10 on the the Twitter's and things like
1:49:12 that the linkedin's
1:49:17 because like things are going to get
1:49:19 weird in in unexpected ways and and I
1:49:23 think you know revenge of the liberal
1:49:24 arts major is one of them where starting
1:49:28 in 2024 we're going to start to see this
1:49:30 shift where Specialists get
1:49:34 undervalued and generalists start to
1:49:38 rise in power or in
1:49:41 demand not in power but in
1:49:45 demand and so it's going to be it's
1:49:47 going to be people who can think
1:49:49 horizontally or t-shaped thinkers do you
1:49:51 know you know the t-shape theory right
1:49:54 that you can go deep on a thing but you
1:49:55 can also think horizontally like
1:49:57 creative directors are usually t-shaped
1:49:59 thinkers hey
1:50:02 Siri H go
1:50:04 away okay
1:50:09 okay she she was she had I hadn't called
1:50:12 on her in a while she was very she just
1:50:15 showed up there for no
1:50:19 reason
1:50:22 oh
1:50:25 man Earth rocker right big picture
1:50:27 creativity is what's needed is tonight
1:50:30 being recorded if so when will it be
1:50:32 posted whenever I get my [ __ ] together
1:50:33 and post it but I generally do that on
1:50:36 Saturdays so um especially cuz Source
1:50:40 Camp wanted that that one specific um
1:50:43 section I'll I'll post a
1:50:45 clip so I'll I'll get I'll get i'll get
1:50:48 this out tomorrow
1:50:53 um and I've got to catch up I've got
1:50:55 like a month of descriptions I've got to
1:50:59 create which by the way how I create my
1:51:02 descriptions on my YouTube channel so I
1:51:03 take the I I take these videos I
1:51:06 download them off the Tik Tok I dump
1:51:08 them up to YouTube YouTube transcribes
1:51:11 them I take those transcriptions I pop
1:51:14 them into Claude or gp4 with a prompt
1:51:17 that I wrote that's like this big long
1:51:19 ass prompt
1:51:21 and it generates a title a description
1:51:23 hashtags puts the URL in there and then
1:51:26 chapter IES the
1:51:28 clip which is cool except the chapter
1:51:31 isation sometimes it works [ __ ]
1:51:33 brilliantly and then there's the other
1:51:35 68% of the time where it's just like I'm
1:51:38 just like smacking my face against the
1:51:40 desk like no that's bad that's bad could
1:51:44 you do it the way you did it last time
1:51:46 no it can't cuz these tools are
1:51:52 are class janky pieces of
1:51:56 [ __ ] so even though they do REM
1:51:58 remarkable remarkable things they're not
1:52:00 consistent they're bad they misspell but
1:52:03 enjoy the imperfection now I'm telling
1:52:06 you enjoy the imperfection now these
1:52:08 things are going to get scarily
1:52:12 good
1:52:14 um let me see what else we got going
1:52:19 here but don't you but don't you lose
1:52:23 the uniqueness of that specialist Misty
1:52:26 Grimes I don't think that specialist go
1:52:28 go
1:52:30 away I think
1:52:34 that AI literate
1:52:36 Specialists get super
1:52:39 valuable so so if I've been an animator
1:52:42 for 30 years and I'm really good at
1:52:44 animation like Pixar good at
1:52:49 animation
1:52:51 and I expect that the skills that I use
1:52:53 today to do my animation stuff are going
1:52:56 to be enough they're not going to be
1:52:58 enough but if I take those skills that
1:53:01 I've got in today's
1:53:02 tools and I'm like okay this AI shit's
1:53:06 coming I'm going to
1:53:08 be the best AI animator on the planet
1:53:12 because I'm like a kick-ass animator on
1:53:14 the planet right now and I'm going to
1:53:17 maintain that I think those Specialists
1:53:19 their value goes up
1:53:22 dramatically because there's something
1:53:25 about that depth of expertise that
1:53:29 they're going to be able to look at what
1:53:30 AI tools do and much more quickly assess
1:53:34 that's good that's bad that's good
1:53:35 that's bad right so there's a reason to
1:53:37 have Specialists but if it's if it's
1:53:40 Specialists who are just crossing their
1:53:41 arms like my talent is
1:53:44 enough they're they're in for a rude
1:53:47 awakening because their talent is good
1:53:50 good enough now but the tools right now
1:53:54 like on something like animation are so
1:53:56 shitty that the the animator can look at
1:53:59 it right now and go huh yeah that's just
1:54:02 it's a joke it's not anywhere close to
1:54:04 what I do well at the end of 2024 see if
1:54:08 they're sitting back like
1:54:11 going like the more sophisticated
1:54:16 Arts Beyond copyrighting so so like I
1:54:19 think copyright ERS got their wakeup
1:54:21 call in
1:54:22 2023 I think the rest of knowledge
1:54:24 workers and creatives get their wakeup
1:54:27 call in
1:54:31 2024 everyone that thinks that their
1:54:34 little particular specialty is off
1:54:36 limits are [ __ ] if they if they don't
1:54:40 like wake up and become part of this
1:54:44 conversation and but I I agree I think
1:54:47 Specialists who are AI literate I think
1:54:49 they're they like they maintain their
1:54:51 value or their value goes up generalists
1:54:54 that are AI literate their value goes up
1:54:57 generalists that are not AI literate no
1:54:59 one's going to give a
1:55:00 [ __ ] this is this is going to be all
1:55:02 about AI literacy who can use these
1:55:04 tools who can wield these tools to get
1:55:07 consistent results for whatever the
1:55:09 project is Kyle his name is horror daily
1:55:13 98 on Tik
1:55:15 Tock oh okay hang on let me go see if I
1:55:18 can find that
1:55:29 at
1:55:32 horror daily
1:55:41 [Music]
1:55:48 98 God damn it 17 Factor authentication
1:55:52 good oh come on I did it right you turd
1:55:59 monkey I did turd monkey for Joker now
1:56:03 now we're going to see 17 turd
1:56:10 monkeys refresh it it never loads right
1:56:14 the first
1:56:16 time this looks like mid Journey To Me
1:56:20 do you know that the movie Corpse Bride
1:56:22 is inspired by this is this is mid mid
1:56:24 journey and hey Jen or
1:56:27 did so I think a real and tragic story
1:56:32 hello I am Emily and My Story begins in
1:56:34 the 19th century yeah this is this is
1:56:38 this is mid Journey it it could be Dolly
1:56:41 but just the nature like the this just
1:56:44 that chy is based on my true story in
1:56:46 1904 when the AO family moved to a villa
1:56:48 and I'm actually not the Beloved hero
1:56:51 Peter pen you see in your eyes could
1:56:53 instead I am the underworld messenger of
1:56:55 your youth hello he's got a re see me
1:57:00 smiling what you've seen of Adventures
1:57:02 in Wonderland is a sugarcoated lie
1:57:05 actually there is no magical Rabbit Hole
1:57:08 here hello what you've seen of it do you
1:57:11 know the yeah this old and hideous this
1:57:15 is this is all this is this is fairly
1:57:18 straightforward stuff he's got a really
1:57:19 cool recipe which is establishing shot
1:57:23 of the person talking cut to some image
1:57:26 that looks like an old and timey
1:57:27 photograph come back to the person
1:57:28 talking right like so the the the recipe
1:57:31 here is consistent this
1:57:34 is this is a good channel to learn from
1:57:37 this would be a good channel to um this
1:57:40 would be a good channel to to try to
1:57:42 replicate not not necessarily the style
1:57:44 but but just like the storytelling
1:57:46 technique learn to do um image
1:57:50 generation learn to do the animation
1:57:51 learn to pull in the voice so here I can
1:57:53 show you how we can go do a version of
1:57:56 this so let's
1:57:59 go um I'm going to do this just in do
1:58:02 just because it's it'll be quicker um so
1:58:04 let me go to chat
1:58:06 GPT so I'm going to log
1:58:11 in and I'll do let's
1:58:15 see what is what is Tik Tok 9 by 16 I
1:58:18 think it is um make me a
1:58:24 9 by 16 tall
1:58:30 cinematic image of
1:58:36 a 19th
1:58:41 century
1:58:42 spooky
1:58:45 doll
1:58:48 in a Dusty room with a
1:58:53 fireplace blurred out in the
1:58:59 distance the
1:59:03 doll
1:59:06 eyes should be
1:59:08 looking right into the
1:59:12 camera let's see what we
1:59:17 get uh 2024 rip copy writers I actually
1:59:20 don't AG agree with that Lynette um I I
1:59:24 think so so what's happening with the
1:59:26 copywriters that I know what wait
1:59:30 what oh I was in chat gbd
1:59:35 3.5 someone's probably telling me that
1:59:37 Kyle you're in 3.5 it won't make images
1:59:39 you big dumb
1:59:42 dumb
1:59:44 okay so we're going to make that image
1:59:46 um I don't think copywriters go away I
1:59:48 think they morph I think all the
1:59:50 copywriters that I know they're using
1:59:53 chat GPT to augment their copywriting
1:59:56 they're still being hired for
1:59:57 copyrighting um they're still trusted
1:59:59 for copywriting a lot of their clients
2:00:02 know that they're using chat GPT they're
2:00:05 increasing their output they're
2:00:06 increasing their quality they're
2:00:07 maintaining their prices
2:00:10 um and the other thing that's happening
2:00:12 is the copywriters that I
2:00:15 know that are really embracing this
2:00:18 stuff are also becoming
2:00:20 illustrators and game designers and
2:00:23 marketing strategists and all sorts of
2:00:24 [ __ ] like that so oh what the hell did
2:00:26 it do it did it sideways um let's
2:00:32 see you made the image sideways I want
2:00:34 this to be a closeup of the
2:00:39 doll that takes up the majority of the
2:00:43 frame let's see what that does we'll
2:00:48 see
2:00:54 so how can I Market myself and for what
2:00:56 jobs I don't know what you do but but so
2:00:59 here's here's what what I would say in
2:01:02 in general with this AI stuff Maria
2:01:07 is learn as much as you can learn how to
2:01:10 do what you do really well in
2:01:13 AI like learn H why is it sideways it's
2:01:17 like it's uh it's
2:01:22 still um
2:01:26 sideways the
2:01:28 doll should face
2:01:32 up um I'm a copywriter using chat GPT
2:01:35 since it came out haven't lost work
2:01:37 capable of quicker output yeah exactly
2:01:39 exactly so AI literate Specialists again
2:01:42 AI literate Specialists who really
2:01:44 Embrace this and what's what's going to
2:01:46 happen is the advantage that copywriters
2:01:48 have this this this is sort of the
2:01:50 Hidden the hidden superpower of
2:01:52 copywriters is that in those instances
2:01:55 where you need to be good at prompting
2:01:57 what you actually need to be good at is
2:01:59 language and copywriters are good with
2:02:01 language so if copywriter H okay let me
2:02:04 start over let me see
2:02:07 um if what whatever it did it
2:02:11 just didn't we're we're in a bad uh
2:02:14 thing here so let's see make a of a
2:02:17 spooky doll
2:02:20 in a Dusty room with a fireplace blurred
2:02:25 out in the
2:02:27 distance um the
2:02:35 doll uh oh I know what we can do wait of
2:02:38 a cinematic closeup
2:02:48 image um
2:02:50 you asked it for 9 by 16 I think I think
2:02:52 you might be it might be doing 16 by9
2:02:55 and then rotating yeah it
2:02:57 is oh you know what it might have done
2:03:00 is I used the word
2:03:02 cinematic and so it might be thinking of
2:03:04 cinematic as 16 by9 that that's probably
2:03:06 what it is let's see if if it does it
2:03:08 again that's probably the the problem so
2:03:11 so even look here the the
2:03:12 troubleshooting that we're doing here
2:03:14 trying to get this
2:03:15 image yeah it's it's the word cinematic
2:03:18 so let me
2:03:20 let me take
2:03:23 this let me take this let me get rid of
2:03:28 cinematic and then I'll say um the
2:03:33 style should
2:03:35 be moody and
2:03:40 realistic
2:03:46 photography this should fix it rotate 90
2:03:50 degrees no but I want it to be I want it
2:03:51 to be vertical I mean I could I could
2:03:53 out paint I'm just trying to do it quick
2:03:56 which that's the problem just tell it to
2:03:59 make it for Tik Tok yeah it's a good
2:04:00 idea change it to 16 by9 just ask for a
2:04:03 tall image yeah exactly let's let's see
2:04:06 if I got it here with removing
2:04:15 cinematic
2:04:18 ah
2:04:20 uh make me
2:04:27 a tall image close up let's
2:04:37 see if if anyone has anything if
2:04:41 anyone's made a tall image throw it in
2:04:43 Show and Tell and I'll just use your
2:04:44 image and go we we could even do that
2:04:47 one um
2:04:50 that's pretty
2:04:54 funny
2:04:58 Joker Korea yep Korea
2:05:02 again the last normal year like it
2:05:08 there's fart
2:05:14 soup oh love that one that one's
2:05:17 great Sarah
2:05:19 [Laughter]
2:05:21 nice that one's really good nice
2:05:26 nice
2:05:28 yep yeah these are
2:05:31 good all right let's see did we get did
2:05:35 we get something please tell me we got
2:05:36 something
2:05:48 regenerate
2:05:55 [Music]
2:06:03 it's doing what you asked for it's 9 by6
2:06:06 no it's it's doing it 16 by9 but turning
2:06:09 it sideways 9 by6 start over from the
2:06:12 beginning I know please tell me that
2:06:15 worked
2:06:18 ah
2:06:26 fail fail fail
2:06:33 fail
2:06:35 tall closeup image of a
2:06:43 spooky 19th century
2:06:48 doll
2:06:49 [Applause]
2:06:52 wait is is he supposed to be teaching us
2:06:55 it seems like what would be what would
2:06:57 be appreciated if it like it seems does
2:07:00 perhaps he needs to take a workshop on
2:07:02 how to do the things he's trying to
2:07:04 teach us how to do is that a possibility
2:07:06 do does he understand any how this
2:07:10 technology am I paying for this how much
2:07:13 is this class this does not seem worth
2:07:16 it oh my God why can it not do a tall
2:07:21 image it must be the doll thing
2:07:25 um
2:07:28 um a closeup of a
2:07:33 spooky uh
2:07:36 closeup uh let's see uh oh I know it can
2:07:39 I know it'll do it
2:07:42 closeup portrait that will do
2:07:47 it of a
2:07:52 spooky
2:07:55 19th
2:07:58 century silver
2:08:04 type just print it and turn the paper no
2:08:07 I want to create a vertical thing like I
2:08:10 can just turn I don't mind turning the
2:08:12 paper but then it makes it wide I want
2:08:13 it to be Tik Tok I'm I'm just trying to
2:08:16 do what the guy on Tik Tok and should be
2:08:19 this hard people all right that's
2:08:21 [ __ ] terrifying perfect let's use
2:08:23 that okay
2:08:30 [Music]
2:08:32 so okay here's a trick that I learned
2:08:35 yesterday on this channel um this little
2:08:39 download button here if if I rightclick
2:08:41 save this image it saves it in this
2:08:44 weird ass webp format if you click this
2:08:47 little download button it saves it as is
2:08:49 a PNG which is like thank goodness cuz
2:08:52 that other format shitty okay so now
2:08:55 we've got her now we're going to go to
2:08:59 um D- ID you can either do this or hey
2:09:03 Jen or uh there's another one called
2:09:06 Synthesia I'm going to log
2:09:13 [Music]
2:09:15 in and then we're going to create a
2:09:17 video and
2:09:21 so so I'm going to
2:09:25 upload our crazy
2:09:30 ass
2:09:34 thingy um we'll go back to chat GPT and
2:09:38 we'll
2:09:39 go
2:09:41 great give me a
2:09:47 give a a
2:09:51 spooky
2:09:54 um short
2:09:58 paragraph she
2:10:02 says of being lost in
2:10:13 eternity
2:10:16 make it shorter
2:10:19 and from
2:10:21 her
2:10:26 POV in this endless Twilight I drift
2:10:29 Through The Whispers of Eternity my
2:10:30 heart aches with okay so I've got a
2:10:32 script now so I'm going to copy the
2:10:34 script we're going to go back to did I'm
2:10:36 going to paste in that script and now
2:10:39 we're going to go
2:10:43 find you're using a premium voice no I'm
2:10:45 not going to use a premium
2:10:47 voice uh uh uh female voices so we're
2:10:51 going to not use a premium voice then
2:10:53 we're just going to go listen in this
2:10:55 endless Twilight I drift Through The
2:10:57 Whispers of no in this endless Twilight
2:11:01 I drift Through The Whispers
2:11:03 of in this endless Twilight I drift
2:11:06 Through The Whispers
2:11:08 of in this endless Twilight I drift
2:11:11 Through The Whispers
2:11:14 of wait can I oh wait it was American
2:11:17 let's go get
2:11:23 English let's do like South African
2:11:30 English in this endless Twilight I drift
2:11:33 Through The Whispers off yeah that's
2:11:34 spooky enough okay cool and then you say
2:11:38 generate
2:11:39 video so in the upper right hand corner
2:11:41 it says generate video so basically you
2:11:43 find a voice you write a script you can
2:11:46 also record the audio
2:11:49 you can also um if you use 11 Labs 11
2:11:53 Labs has this thing called Speech to
2:11:55 speech where you can record your voice
2:11:58 and then swap in a female voice it'll
2:12:00 it'll replace it'll keep your your
2:12:03 Cadence so if you wanted to talk really
2:12:07 slow and really weird and then replace
2:12:10 it with a woman's voice you can do that
2:12:12 in 11 labs and then you just upload the
2:12:14 audio file to something like this but
2:12:15 anyway so I say generate video bang it's
2:12:19 going to tell me how many credits it's
2:12:20 going to cost two
2:12:23 credits and then it'll go off and do
2:12:27 this and it it won't take that long and
2:12:30 then we'll we'll see it help I'm
2:12:33 stuck do not make it even more scary
2:12:38 please I like using D- ID s
2:12:46 clippy that doesn't sound like a South
2:12:49 African Rudy R Rudy from South Africa is
2:12:52 like dude come on man that that's crap
2:12:55 you could also record your own voice but
2:12:57 anyway here she is in this endless
2:13:00 Twilight I drift Through The Whispers of
2:13:03 Eternity my heart aches with memories of
2:13:05 a life once lived now just Shadows
2:13:08 flickering in the Gloom each step is a
2:13:11 silent echo in this Timeless expanse a
2:13:14 solemn dance with the ghost of what was
2:13:16 and what might have been lost in this
2:13:18 eternal Walts I am a mere Spectre
2:13:21 forever yening for a past that slips
2:13:23 like Mist through my ethereal
2:13:25 fingers right add some spooky music
2:13:28 behind that cut in some you know some
2:13:31 some things like they did overlay the
2:13:33 you know the the the overlays and you
2:13:35 got it right so so that's how that's how
2:13:37 they're doing it um you know what I
2:13:40 would say is find your own style and
2:13:42 find your own like I you know I would
2:13:44 say Joker Joker has this this creepy
2:13:47 clown thing he's got and and actually
2:13:49 his [ __ ] tossing monkeys he's and he's
2:13:52 got this he's got the the humanized
2:13:56 llamas are really creepy and specific
2:13:58 and then his creepy clowns are super
2:14:01 specific like anything like that where
2:14:03 you've got a very clear editorial voice
2:14:06 creative voice would would make perfect
2:14:10 content for for a channel like that let
2:14:13 me see if I can find one of
2:14:16 his llamas well like there's this clown
2:14:19 like I mean imagine a Channel of just
2:14:23 that yeah that's no longer scary very
2:14:25 silly well but you know you know what
2:14:27 would help like even even though this
2:14:30 chick is a little silly now
2:14:33 um adding music adding edits things like
2:14:36 that and you know you'd have to you have
2:14:38 to tweak the voice until you get the
2:14:40 voice right right and maybe it's
2:14:42 recording your voice um and swapping it
2:14:45 out like this video I did uh speech to
2:14:49 speech with this is really frustrating
2:14:52 oh no
2:14:53 that's wait where is it this
2:14:57 one hello I'm Dr Emily Park as an
2:15:00 endocrinologist specializing in diabetes
2:15:03 my Approach goes beyond traditional
2:15:04 treatment I'm deeply committed to
2:15:07 empowering my patients integrating
2:15:08 Medical Care with so that one that's my
2:15:12 recording but then I swapped out my
2:15:14 voice with hers right so you could you
2:15:16 could start to get pretty pretty fancy
2:15:20 with how you produce that stuff um is it
2:15:23 paid or free almost all of these
2:15:25 animation things are paid and they're
2:15:27 not cheap so um if if you want to do a
2:15:30 channel like like that horror channel
2:15:32 it's going to cost you some money
2:15:36 um
2:15:38 the there's some stable the stable video
2:15:41 stuff there's some free choices out
2:15:43 there but you have to be pretty geeky to
2:15:45 use them if you want these tools that
2:15:46 are decently easy to use they're going
2:15:48 to cost you money anyway all right
2:15:50 listen I got to get out of here people
2:15:52 it's Friday night you got
2:15:55 you you all have date nights you got to
2:15:57 get you got to get going what are you
2:15:59 doing here with me 172 people in here
2:16:01 what are we doing people what are we
2:16:02 doing with our lives um hopefully that
2:16:05 helped you um figure out how they were
2:16:07 doing that thing you know part of what
2:16:09 makes that other channel good is he's
2:16:12 got a real clear he or she he got a real
2:16:16 clear um story ing sense right he does
2:16:20 the establishing shot with the spooky
2:16:22 face cuts to some weird image that is a
2:16:25 little jarring Cuts back to the spooky
2:16:28 face cuts to some other thing has spooky
2:16:31 music in it has some sort of animated
2:16:32 effects on it like
2:16:35 like it ain't just about the the tools
2:16:38 it's about the
2:16:40 storytelling sure terrify us and
2:16:45 leave you're going to need to all go get
2:16:47 your blankies
2:16:52 we're leaving in 15 but we're having a
2:16:55 good time this was my
2:16:59 date nice show thank you very much so
2:17:02 listen if you appreciated this if you
2:17:04 appreciate the show if you appreciate
2:17:05 what I'm up to here um follow my channel
2:17:09 I I haven't been doing these requests
2:17:11 for participation and I've been getting
2:17:14 very little engagement lately I feel
2:17:15 like I've been teaching a lot and
2:17:17 getting very little engage so I I see a
2:17:19 lot of people tapping the like screen I
2:17:21 appreciate that um you can subscribe to
2:17:23 the channel in one of the corners down
2:17:25 here is a um a video series on why I
2:17:29 think AI is actually underhyped um so if
2:17:32 you want to if you want to sort of
2:17:33 primer on how this AI [ __ ] works and why
2:17:36 I think it's a big deal that's in that
2:17:38 that'll support the channel following my
2:17:40 channel supports it joining the AI salon
2:17:43 so if you go
2:17:45 to this URL
2:17:51 right here that's a link tree the first
2:17:54 link there will take you to the AI Salon
2:17:56 which is a mighty networks Community
2:17:59 Check out about the salon and if you
2:18:01 want to hang out with people that are
2:18:03 exploring this AI stuff that's what this
2:18:05 is It's been around this I started this
2:18:08 community a year after or a week after
2:18:11 chat PT was launched so we just
2:18:13 celebrated our one-year anniversary
2:18:15 really cool as a horror Fran a horror
2:18:18 fan I'm not mad just disappointed well
2:18:20 pay you got pay you can go you can go
2:18:23 make some scary [ __ ] as a horror fan um
2:18:27 it's really funny um it's only $5 for
2:18:30 the series oh the one yeah the one down
2:18:33 there is five bucks yeah so that'll
2:18:35 support the thing so anything you can do
2:18:36 to support the channel would be great um
2:18:39 I'm here every night you can ask the
2:18:41 Irregulars seven nights a week two to
2:18:44 three hours a night ask my family
2:18:46 they're not happy about it
2:18:50 but this is really important and so keep
2:18:53 coming back so that's the other way you
2:18:54 can support it is just participate and
2:18:56 like why you would join this community
2:18:58 is to participate learn [ __ ] share what
2:19:01 you're learning talk about what you're
2:19:02 learning out out in the world best
2:19:04 Friday night date night ever same as
2:19:07 other six nights but it's Friday exactly
2:19:10 thank you Source Camp um uh a human
2:19:13 being we appreciate you Kyle and I
2:19:15 appreciate you um some of my Christmas
