10. 2:17It was funny. Last week there were rumors that there was a bunch of stuff happening during the week that didn't happen.
11. 2:27And there weren't a lot of like newsy kind of items or sort of big things that that caught my attention. And so so
12. 2:38it felt like a bit of a vamp last week. Well, this week there's there's enough has happened in the past week and enough's been written
13. 2:47uh that it is >> [music] >> there's a lot to cover tonight. So, we're going to go look at uh a post that Anthropic put out about RSI.
14. 2:59Recursive self-improvement. Sounds like a yawn. >> [music] [music]
15. 3:14>> Uh but it's a really big deal. And it's coming. And today OpenAI filed their S-1. Which you're in if you're an investor
16. 3:24type. You're like, "Oh my god, they're going to go public. First SpaceX, now them, then Anthropic." They're all going.
17. 3:30They're all going public. Um And so OpenAI put out a really interesting post
18. 3:45this evening. >> [music] >> So, we'll be talking about that tonight. Um
19. 4:00The other thing I'm going to be talking about is if you're still prompting, that's last year's news. You should be looping, not prompting.
20. 4:15Prompt engineers? >> [laughter] >> You took that course? Ooh, sorry. No, no, I'm sorry. Sorry, you should have taken the loop
21. 4:26engineering course. But, we didn't know what loops were. Exactly. Now you do. It's time to get loopy. So, we're going
22. 4:36to be talking about loops tonight, too. Loops, RSI, preparing for the future, preparing for the future. Um if you go to Substack, The Great

25. 5:09just going to be an absolute trip. Um >> [music] >> Where do we find our meaning?
26. 5:25I had a I had an epiphany on Sunday. We had a uh a meeting for humans 2.0. And we're talking about a bunch of stuff. We were
27. 5:35talking about AI a little bit, and we're talking about meaning and purpose and life and struggle and all the stuff you talk
28. 5:43about when you're trying to figure things out. And this vision came crashing in my head of of of what if AI's purpose
29. 6:01is to give us everything we've always wanted so that collectively we can realize no, that wasn't it. >> [laughter]
30. 6:16>> So, I think over the next 5 years we're going to experience some bizarre things as as these already powerful tools start
31. 6:28improving themselves and accelerating what they can do and what we can do. >> [music] >> And then what do we do?
32. 6:46>> [music] [music] >> More possible than not. Yeah.
33. 7:00There's more possible than not and there's there's a lot of there's a lot of personal um
34. 7:15AI AI is going to be this forcing function. It's It's You can You're already starting to feel the resistance of it, right? People are
35. 7:25afraid of it because they they sense what's coming. They have no idea. I mean, as as AI gets stronger and
36. 7:32stronger and stronger, it starts to improve itself. It's going to start solving questions we thought were unsolvable
37. 7:43about science and health and meaning and philosophy and physics and biology.
38. 7:57It's going to reveal all the patterns. What are we supposed to do with that? Now we know everything. Now what? >> [laughter]
39. 8:12[music] >> I started this channel >> [music] >> to try to keep keep up with the uh the technologic technological advancements and
40. 8:26possibilities of AI tools as I imagined them. Which which were what they were for 3 years, right? You go to chat GPT, you go to Claude,
41. 8:38you go to midjourney, you go to this, you go to that. And it wasn't it is. It's not even close. If you were prompting, you should be
42. 8:53looping. And here's the thing, I'm going to talk about how to loop tonight. And you're like, what the hell are you
43. 9:00talking about? What's looping? It It's not the music thing you do with with loops. It's not that. It's different loops.
44. 9:14You got to be looping. And 6 months from now it won't be looping. So you need to learn looping right now.
45. 9:24You need to understand what it is. You need to understand why it's different. And you're like, Kyle, are you going to
46. 9:30tell us that? I don't really know. But I know you got to learn it. And I know that 6 months from now it
47. 9:38will be irrelevant and you that I'll be telling you another thing. There's there's uh recursive recursive loop management will
48. 9:48be the new thing. I don't know. There'll be some stupid [ __ ] name that came out of San Francisco out of some lab,
49. 9:53some 22-year-old named something cuz it was logically it made sense and we'd be like, "What's that mean?"
50. 9:59And you're like, "Oh, I got to do that now." You're like, "What?" Yeah, yeah. You got to do If you do that, then all
51. 10:04will be right with the world. And then you do that and then 6 months later, 3 months later we got a new thing. So. >> [laughter]

71. 13:34have to type anymore. Feel like I've just done some sort of drug. I'm like all itchy. I'm just like this stuff happening.
72. 13:48That's what we're going to talk about tonight over there in the AI Salon. With people who are thinking critically, and passionately, and
73. 13:58thoughtfully, and human-centered about what is going on. We have clues. There are clues. So, I'm going to run down two paths.
74. 14:12The one path is what are two of these frontier model companies talking about? And then the other one is loops.
75. 14:23What's he talking about? And I feel calm. Loops, loops, loops. What is this loop talk? You actually probably know more

77. 14:44So, Peter Steinberger, who's the one that created OpenClaw, he did this post, I don't know, three or four days ago.
78. 14:51Maybe it was a little longer than that. But, he basically said, "If you're prompting, you ain't doing it right." >> [music]

87. 16:26to wrap our heads around exponential growth. Um, with a really simple metaphor. It's really cool. Um, and we're about to experience it.
88. 16:38We're about to experience it. I don't know. I I got to tell you, I feel so [ __ ] lucky to be alive right now.
89. 17:02>> [music] >> If what you're feeling about AI is it's scary, it's terrifying, it's bad, it's this, it's that, yeah, we're experiencing the
90. 17:18It's just beginning. Um What a remarkable time to be alive. Like we're living in a time
91. 17:34where humanity humans like a handful of them a handful of humans
92. 17:49figured out how to take all the knowledge of all the other humans. Which if you think about consciousness, like one of the >> [laughter]
93. 18:00>> We'll talk about it over there. But basically, if you think about consciousness, the the the latest science on consciousness is that
94. 18:08we don't actually generate it, that we're receiving it, that we're receivers. So all this stuff that we create, all
95. 18:14the words that we say, all that sort of stuff is all being channeled in from out there. And so we've now built this tool that's
96. 18:21taken all of the output of all of the people that have channeled all of the [ __ ] that's coming from somewhere.
97. 18:27And we now have instant access to it. And it's getting better and bigger and faster. And is it terrifying because Hollywood and
98. 18:41the media told us we should be terrified of it? Sure. Is it also like invigorating and inspiring and like holy [ __ ] we get to
