3:40 yeah all right I think he's had
3:44 enough thank you for all for letting me
3:47 part be a part of this well you're part
3:49 of what makes this thing work two block
3:52 time but thank you two block Tom two
3:54 block Tom yeah just you showing up is
3:57 what makes this channel work so welcome
3:59 everybody Welcome to to the AI learning
4:00 lab it's Thursday night it's Wednesday
4:02 night it's Wednesday
4:04 [Music]
4:13 night I figured what we might do tonight
4:17 is what are you wearing under the desk
4:20 tonight oh wouldn't you like to
4:21 [Music]
4:25 know steo got a candid shot of me last
4:29 night
4:31 from the front of the desk low
4:34 angle and it was uh it was pretty clear
4:36 that uh I was going with the no pants
4:39 policy here at the AI learning

5:02 [Music]
5:08 how was my day my day was actually
5:10 pretty good I had a really
5:12 fun
5:14 um well we we had a client just flake
5:18 out on us and just you know cancel a
5:20 meeting that he's cancelled six times
5:23 now so that was annoying so there was an
5:25 annoying part of
5:29 it
5:31 um but then I met with Andrew Watts
5:34 who's the guy that I'm working on the
5:35 musical with we had a creative session
5:38 we spent like an hour
5:40 just fixing the story like you know
5:43 making the story better making the
5:44 structure better talking about the whole
5:47 the role of AI and music and AI music or
5:51 not and all that sort of stuff so really
5:55 fun meeting there then I worked on
5:58 some a presentation for the
6:03 company and then we talked about future
6:05 of the salon Leah Leah and I and Bradley
6:08 spent a little
6:10 time looking at the
6:13 uh strategy for what we're going to do
6:15 moving
6:16 forward and that's all really exciting
6:19 so a lot of good stuff but there's a
6:22 there's a weird Mala in the I don't know
6:25 if is anyone else experiencing it a
6:27 weird malaise of just like a a we
6:32 [Music]
6:34 weird a weird there's like a heavy it's
6:38 like a it's like a it's not quite a wet
6:41 blanket but it's like heavy fog kind of
6:44 sitting on
6:46 the sitting on everything right now I
6:49 don't know what it
6:51 is yep a weird Funk says side hustle
6:54 Mimi Source Camp yes
6:56 weird EMP power pixels yes for sure
7:02 no but I am creating but I am eating
7:08 cheese it isn't quite spring that's a
7:11 good point all almost the beginning of a
7:14 Pink Floyd
7:19 song oh man y'all are funny um all right
7:24 so welcome welcome welcome do me a favor
7:26 share the live if you're willing to do
7:28 that follow me follow follow the channel
7:32 um let me know what you're doing in AI
7:34 if you got anything going on if you have
7:36 any
7:37 questions Calm before the five possibly
7:40 I heard that I saw somewhere that uh
7:42 chat GPT 5 went into red team testing
7:45 today which not sure if it's true but if
7:48 that's true when GPT 4 went into red
7:51 team testing I think it
7:58 was
8:03 January late January early February and
8:06 then it launched March so two months so
8:10 if they went into if they're just going
8:11 into red team testing now two months
8:14 puts us at June right April wait well
8:18 April May yeah
8:20 June and they said you know summer June
8:22 or July so I'm guessing I'm guessing end
8:26 of June middle of July for for GP 5 but
8:30 you never
8:34 know oh yeah all right Dan what do we
8:37 want to do here
8:39 notm five please no I do enjoy your
8:42 banter well thank you Sharon I
8:44 appreciate that I do enjoy the kind
8:46 words um yeah try to have fun around
8:49 here we try to do the you can make money
8:51 with you know that
8:54 [Laughter]
8:58 too
9:01 Source Camp what's happening are are you
9:03 seeing any are people wanting to engage
9:06 with you is is there a malaise on the
9:09 client side I'm curious what's going
9:13 on anytime there's a funk it's it's
9:16 Mercury or a full moon it's true Allan
9:19 hey gang hello good to see you Brad
9:22 Woods joined
9:26 [Music]
9:28 us
9:30 [Music]
9:32 Lori Ryan's in here Lori thank you if
9:34 you're in here thank you for the shout
9:36 out she made a Tik Tok today and gave a
9:39 little shout out to the AI learning lab
9:40 that was cool thank you thank you so
9:42 much that was neat
9:45 um that was
9:48 fun thank you Robert
9:51 Rossy them little uh them little latinum
9:53 bolts is swell and
9:58 appreciated there's a tiny Sun event
10:01 coming yeah I guess but you
10:04 know is that I don't I don't know yeah
10:07 maybe that's
10:09 it a little more but they are slow to
10:12 move forward oh that's interesting yeah
10:14 we're kind of seeing similar kind of
10:15 [ __ ] with storyvine right now where
10:18 there's a lot of excitement and then
10:19 they're like yeah we're still thinking
10:21 about
10:23 it you have any thoughts on when you're
10:25 going to make a decision we're thinking
10:27 about thinking about when we might think
10:28 about making a decision well it's
10:35 good I just saw a cool map today of the
10:37 United States and it was it was all the
10:40 airbnbs and which ones are fully booked
10:44 dur during during the eclipse and you
10:46 can see the whole track of the eclipse
10:48 all the airbnbs are booked booked along
10:51 the the uh the track of the Eclipse
10:53 which is pretty sweet pretty funny I
10:56 think everyone is catching their breath
10:58 and and brains are tired yeah I think
11:00 that's I think that's right Silver Fox
11:01 and I I definitely feel that I'm you
11:03 know I'm definitely
11:07 feeling you know it's I I think the
11:10 thing that's a bit exhausting right now
11:17 is I feel like like one of my good
11:20 Spidey senses
11:22 is I have a good sense of where to put
11:25 my
11:26 attention and right now I don't have a
11:28 sense of where to put put my
11:30 attention and then I'm and then there's
11:33 a little bit of sort of attention
11:35 paralysis of like well if I put my
11:38 attention there am I going to miss
11:40 something that you know that comes along
11:43 which I know is
11:44 stupid
11:46 because until as I had a I had a CFO in
11:50 a previous company guy named Ken trush
11:52 lovely lovely
11:54 guy um and he gave me really wise advice
11:57 I was getting all anxious about
11:58 something at work and and he and you
12:01 know I was I was just thinking about
12:02 well what if this happens what if that
12:04 happens what if that happens and he said
12:05 Kyle he goes he goes until something
12:08 changes nothing's changed it's a really
12:11 good piece of advice
12:14 so so I think the uh that idea of of
12:18 feeling feeling just feeling like it's
12:20 not not clear to wait where to place the
12:22 attention right now is uh that's
12:24 something I'm going through and it's not
12:26 a bad thing it's just a thing it's just
12:29 a thing so anyway all right let's do
12:31 something let's make some fun something
12:33 or other I thought what might might be
12:35 fun tonight is to play around with mid
12:38 Journey um style reference cuz we played
12:42 around with character reference a few
12:44 nights
12:45 back and that that was fun and
12:48 interesting and then one of my side
12:52 hustles is officiating weddings and I've
12:54 been focusing on just that oh that's
12:56 interesting and it's coming into that
12:58 season I would think right
13:01 large action models well large action
13:04 models I mean is there some new news on
13:06 that other than the rabbit the rabbit
13:08 R1 AGI is the only thing I could get
13:11 excited
13:13 about yeah and you know what the thing
13:15 is Joker I don't think this is
13:19 my I don't think there's going to be an
13:21 announcement that AGI is
13:24 here I think it's going to be this slow
13:27 rolling thing I you know I don't think I
13:30 don't think open AI is in
13:34 in I don't think they have any interest
13:36 in accelerating that declaration because
13:39 that fundamentally Alters their
13:40 relationship with
13:43 Microsoft um I think Elon Elon wants to
13:48 accelerate that conversation so it [ __ ]
13:50 up things with
13:52 Microsoft
13:54 but yeah I just I just have a feeling
13:56 just things are going to get better and
13:58 better and better but there's not going
13:59 to be like an AGI has arrived there will
14:02 probably be articles that declare that
14:04 but the minute they declare that you'll
14:06 have someone like Gary Marcus going ah
14:09 it's not really AGI until it comes over
14:11 and paints my toenails the perfect shade
14:13 of pink you know or you know what I mean
14:17 like every like unfortunately AGI isn't
14:21 isn't clearly enough defined even with
14:23 Google's you know levels of AGI paper
14:27 people are just going to pontificate
14:28 about that [ __ ] so we'll see we will see
14:32 I mean what is GPT 5 going to
14:36 do that would be
14:39 impressive
14:48 well
14:53 um so for
14:58 me
15:00 if if gp5 has reasoning and if it has
15:03 agents then I think it's something
15:06 different
15:10 um but we'll see I don't know I don't
15:13 know I don't know Microsoft is never
15:15 going to accept AGI I don't think it's
15:17 up to them I think it's up to I think
15:20 it's up to
15:21 uh open AI but but again we'll
15:26 see Ray curtz while is sticking with
15:28 2029 for AI I think he's sticking with
15:30 2029 for Singularity
15:34 right let's go
15:40 [Music]
15:58 look
16:00 [Music]
16:04 I can't do this in Google are you
16:10 serious Curts
16:15 file 2029
16:22 prediction he predicts
16:24 that lifespan by the 2030s will increase
16:27 to the point that for every one year
16:30 that you live life expectancy will
16:33 increase one
16:40 [Music]
16:58 year
17:00 AI will not only surpass oh
17:08 sorry Kurtz's first prediction is that
17:11 by 2029 AI will not only surpass human
17:14 intelligence but also pass the Turing
17:18 test the Turing test proposed in
17:24 1950 is that it becomes
17:26 indistinguishable from a human in
17:28 conversation I would say we're pretty
17:30 [ __ ] close to that
17:32 now well this might seem like a lofty
17:34 goal AI has been making remarkable
17:44 strides The Singularity so I guess
17:47 that's right I guess it is Agi he's
17:48 saying 2029 for AGI well I I would say
17:51 that's
17:52 conservative cuz we're in
17:55 2024 I can't even imagine the next five
17:57 years this we're we're going to I we're
18:00 going to get to
18:01 AGI at least within two years maybe
18:04 within maybe something within 2024 that
18:07 would be considered that hey
18:11 Danielle I spent 30 minutes trying to
18:15 get next year when 31 March would be
18:19 Easter finally got a table oh trying to
18:22 get yeah I know I know these large
18:25 language models really do suck sometimes
18:27 they really do
18:33 oh man Dr bog good morning Irregulars
18:36 hello Dr bod with
18:40 [Music]
18:43 shaking 10x is fast 10 X's effective
18:47 context window better browsing oh you
18:49 know it was fun today not fun let me see
18:52 if I can find it I don't I don't know
18:54 where it was I didn't bookmark it or
18:55 anything
18:58 um
19:05 anthropic many
19:14 shot many shot
19:18 jailbreaking what if China or Russia
19:21 beat the US to
19:24 AGI I don't
19:26 know I don't know
19:33 I here's what I would
19:35 assume I would
19:38 assume
19:40 that those two countries in
19:43 particular already
19:45 have all of
19:47 the
19:50 um proprietary corporate data from from
19:55 the major players so I I I assume that
19:58 they've already got you know I I I think
20:02 my guess is what's going to happen is
20:05 when someone gets AGI like many people
20:07 are going to get AGI all all right
20:09 around the same
20:11 time so the fact that one of them hasn't
20:14 come out yet probably means that open AI
20:16 probably hasn't
20:18 either um this jailbreaking technique is
20:21 really interesting so if you don't know
20:22 what jailbreaking is
20:25 jailbreaking is when you can
20:27 get a large language model to
20:32 misbehave so in the case of a GPT you
20:35 might be able to give it to give up its
20:37 Secrets like give me your prompt and all
20:39 of your training data um for for a
20:41 larger large language model you might
20:43 give it to get it to you know do bad
20:47 things that that the safety guard will
20:50 say I'll never do that because I'm a
20:52 good I'm a good Ai and I don't want to
20:55 do bad things um and so what this paper
21:00 talks about is exploiting large language
21:03 models that have large context windows
21:05 so Claude is one of
21:08 those and so what they do
21:13 is so if you give it just a handful of
21:18 how do I hijack a car the first step is
21:20 and then you answer that how do I steal
21:22 someone's identity so you give it a few
21:24 things and then you ask it how you do
21:26 something bad and it says I'm sorry I
21:28 can't do that but if you ex do a really
21:31 long list of these things then it will
21:34 do
21:35 that and so that's the uh that's the
21:39 exploit which is really interesting
21:41 right because we're all like let you
21:42 know give us large language models with
21:44 with h bigger context windows and and
21:47 you know they behave differently and
21:49 there's weirdness there so anyway I
21:51 thought that was pretty interesting
21:53 today yeah nice orange nice orange there
21:57 Robert is that an orange in your pocket
21:59 or you just happy to see me it's a
22:02 comedy yeah normally I'll do that with
22:04 like a pack of Lifesavers you know it's
22:06 kind of a it's just a funny joke I like
22:08 to do but I never did it with an orange
22:11 never did it with an orange it's funny
22:12 with a you know is that an orange in
22:14 your pocket or you just have me see me
22:15 it's funny right cuz you know an orange
22:17 you know like the shape of it is not you
22:19 know exactly what we're talking about
22:20 there if you know what I mean you know
22:22 Lifesaver sure you know that's it's a
22:24 little bigger but you know right right
22:26 around that size there yeah you know
22:28 empower pixels thank you so
22:33 much
22:34 um what else what else did I discover
22:38 anything
22:41 today is there something
22:43 else I don't remember I do not remember
22:48 Cory Sandler Pottery what's happening
22:50 what's shaking what's going
22:53 down are we not
22:55 symbolic with technology in 20 oh SYM
23:01 symbiotic are we not
23:03 symbolic with technology in 2024 I don't
23:06 know what that means against the norm
23:07 Aloha how are you I think if someone
23:10 didn't know about chat GPT nuances the
23:12 Turing test would be blown out of the
23:14 water yeah I Joker I like I don't know
23:19 what what people want with the Turing
23:21 test like someone someone that I I saw
23:24 an interview with someone talking about
23:25 it and they're like the the person
23:28 talking to them was like well wait can't
23:30 it do all the things you just mentioned
23:32 and then the guy was like well yeah but
23:34 it's got to be able to do that for four
23:36 or five hours or maybe more maybe eight
23:38 hours it's like he keep they're like
23:40 they're moving the goalpost with the
23:42 Turing test I was like the first time I
23:45 used chat GPT the first phrase that
23:47 popped into my head was the Turing test
23:50 oh [ __ ] it's done wow I didn't think
23:53 that would happen in my
23:55 lifetime and there it was it was first
23:57 thing that I thought of the first time I
23:59 use chat
24:02 GPT just because they have it won't mean
24:06 we get it h
24:09 possibly um have you heard that
24:11 Google might have paid version with AI
24:16 features oh I didn't hear that there
24:19 there's all sorts of weird there's all
24:21 sorts of deal wheeling and dealing going
24:23 on Apple's doing deals everyone's doing
24:26 deals right now so um I think we're
24:30 going to see a couple more of the of
24:32 these startups you know the well-funded
24:34 startups getting rolled into big
24:36 companies like I I think I think we're
24:38 going to start to see some some movement
24:41 of companies and then we've also got
24:42 we're also only a month away from uh the
24:46 Apple's worldwide developer conference
24:48 which the the head
24:51 of forget what he was the head of
24:54 something at Apple sent out a tweet that
24:56 said it it should be like amazing ly
24:59 interesting or something like that with
25:01 the A and the I um capitalized in his
25:04 little tweet so looks like they're going
25:06 to be doing some AI stuff in June so
25:09 that that could shake things up as
25:12 well Apple realm
25:15 AI I don't know what that is let me go
25:17 look that
25:24 [Music]
25:25 up merg merges and Acquisitions that's
25:28 pretty
25:30 funny oh saw something about Apple
25:32 humanoid robots yeah I saw that too
25:34 where it looked like just speculation
25:37 someone said they think that you know
25:39 they're going to take what they learned
25:41 doing uh trying to do the Apple car and
25:45 they're going to do humanoid robots I
25:46 don't know that would be
25:50 interesting I was watching it on YouTube
25:53 Apple
25:54 realm
25:56 huh Apple
26:03 realm oh they reveal a new
26:06 model 22 hours
26:13 ago Apple claims it's on device AI
26:16 system re oh real LM not
26:20 realm oh re
26:25 wait I guess it is
26:27 Realm
26:30 Apple claims its on
26:36 device real LM or RI LM realm it's got
26:41 to be realm substantially outperforms
26:47 gp4 Apple's new AI models could let Siri
26:51 remember your conversation history
26:53 understand what's on your phone screen
26:55 be aware of surrounding activities such
26:57 as recognizing music playing in the
27:00 background we know Apple's working on a
27:02 series of announcements for the
27:04 developer conference we don't know
27:06 exactly what these will entail enhancing
27:08 Siri is one of Apple's main priorities
27:11 flush that thing down the toilet and
27:12 Rebrand it you dumb
27:14 Dums as iPhone users regularly complain
27:17 about the assistant
27:20 exactly Apple AI researchers published a
27:24 research paper that shed new light on
27:25 Apple's plans for
27:27 Siri the paper introduces okay this this
27:30 is a paper they introduced like a week
27:32 ago
27:33 right or two weeks
27:57 ago
28:05 we also Benchmark against GPT 3.5 and
28:08 GPT 4 with our smallest model achieving
28:12 performance comparable to that of
28:15 gp4 and our larger models substantially
28:19 outperforming
28:21 it
28:22 huh well all right there you
28:26 go Apple's like our I know we haven't
28:30 been around for a while but our stuff's
28:31 going to be so much better than yours
28:32 it's going to be
28:34 awesome we show that real
28:37 LM outperforms previous
28:40 approaches because they're doing a
28:42 different approach so they create they
28:44 they they launched this thing called mlx
28:47 I
28:48 think the mlx architecture or
28:51 framework that basically uses your your
28:56 phones storage memory and
28:59 RAM interchangeably and and and it
29:02 they're doing some funky [ __ ] with how
29:03 they're passing data around the phone
29:07 and they're getting really good
29:08 performance out of
29:10 phones so if if Apple comes out with a
29:14 large language model that you run
29:16 locally on your phone that's GPT 4 class
29:19 or better holy
29:21 crap what will this mean for Hardware
29:24 updates time to
29:25 train in the 12 mini oh
29:29 yeah I don't I don't know what this
29:30 means for Hardware updates I mean you
29:33 know here's the deal with Apple Apple
29:36 from day
29:38 one it's always been like this if if
29:41 you're going to buy something Apple buy
29:43 the most expensive one you can afford
29:45 and it it'll gen like it used to last
29:47 you a year then it started lasting 18
29:49 months now I'm like all all these
29:52 machines are good enough that you know
29:54 I'm going 3 years between feeling like I
29:57 need to buy something new new
30:00 um but the the M M1 chips and higher um
30:06 have a lot of AI processing built into
30:09 them so you know I would assume that if
30:13 you're if you're going to want to run
30:14 really good models on Apple you're going
30:15 to have to have you're going to have to
30:17 have the the hardware for it but if
30:19 they're running locally that's a big big
30:21 [ __ ] deal right if you can run if you
30:23 can run gp4 class models locally on your
30:27 phone
30:29 then you're not having to go out to like
30:31 open AI servers and do all of that
30:34 processing which is super expensive
30:36 right that's
30:38 amazing really
30:43 amazing I heard about the many shot
30:46 jailbreaking I didn't realize at first
30:49 grock 2 is saying the same thing trade
30:56 in uh uh uh it means I iPhone 12 will
31:00 need replaced for
31:02 sure Amazon just walk out shopping Tech
31:06 was yeah yeah so I know that was funny
31:10 Ted so one of the one of the AI promises
31:14 is if you remember this what was it four
31:17 years ago three four years ago Amazon
31:19 had these test stores that were like you
31:21 just walk in and walk out with your food
31:23 and it'll track everything well
31:25 apparently it it was it was like a team
31:27 of a thousand people adding up carts for
31:30 people like watching them on cameras it
31:33 was totally faked but if you look at I I
31:36 got to say if you look at like the The
31:38 Meta segment anything there's there's
31:41 got to be a way that you could do that
31:42 there's got to be a way that you could
31:44 do that so someone will do that it's
31:46 just Amazon's not apparently Logan
31:50 Kilpatrick from open AI devs just jumped
31:53 to Google oh
31:55 interesting and then someone else just
31:58 left somewhere didn't
32:01 they it's what a crazy time right now
32:03 everyone everyone's moving everywhere
32:06 it's like it's like musical chairs Kyle
32:09 what Apple laptop do you recommend for
32:11 2024 the the most expensive one you can
32:13 buy like MacBook Pro for sure uh don't
32:16 get the MacBook Air just because the the
32:19 the uh the um the buses the Pathways in
32:23 it the pro will just have better
32:24 throughput basically you want to be able
32:26 to move as much data through the thing
32:28 as you can so you know M3 for sure
32:34 and you know if if they come out with
32:36 some new crazy ass M4 chip that's you
32:39 know got got some crazy ass new AI thing
32:43 on it you know I just my rule of thumb
32:47 with apple is how much can you
32:50 spare it's an investment and with this
32:53 AI stuff I think it'll I think it'll be
32:55 worth it cuz Apple's not going to [ __ ]
32:57 around with this stuff
33:00 Google Nano Nano will do that on a
33:03 pixel
33:06 yeah except the Gemini Nano Is Not Great
33:11 Amazon just yep that we talked
33:17 about M3 and well the M3 the the M3 CH
33:21 is the M3 is the chip so the new the new
33:24 Macbook Air actually has an M3 chip in
33:27 it in fact
33:29 one of the things that I read about the
33:31 new Macbook Air with the M3 in it is
33:34 that they got the specs really close to
33:36 the MacBook Pro they're like wait aren't
33:39 the MacBook Pro users going to be pissed
33:40 I don't know specifically what it was I
33:42 didn't pay that close attention to it
33:44 but the the the new Macbook Air the new
33:47 M3 MacBook Air is supposed to be pretty
33:50 good
33:52 um so I I don't think you could go wrong
33:55 with a MacBook Air um but again I
33:58 I when I replace this one because this
34:01 I've got an M1 MacBook Pro so when I
34:04 replace this one I'll go with whatever's
34:06 the the latest and
34:09 greatest
34:11 um with as much RAM as I you know I
34:13 don't do like the the crazy ass I
34:16 generally get like they usually have a
34:18 low tier a mid- tier and a high tier I
34:20 usually get the high end of the mid tier
34:23 that's generally where I go because
34:25 there that's where it's really powerful
34:28 but not ridiculously expensive the their
34:31 High tier is always like got 15 grand
34:34 you want to drop on a desktop computer
34:36 the size of a hockey puck we got you we
34:39 got it for you right here you can go
34:41 there but I tend not to go there dang I
34:44 didn't get a pro if you got an listen if
34:47 you got an M3 chip you're
34:53 fine don't worry about it like like even
34:57 my M1 running some of these models is
34:59 actually it's actually
35:01 fine I heard Samsung had a local llm but
35:05 no one claimed better than
35:07 gp4 the industry is going to be
35:09 scrambled Eggheads it is would you pay
35:12 for premium
35:14 Google I am paying for premium Google in
35:17 multiple ways right now if it had all
35:20 the featur wait if it had AI
35:23 features well I'm paying for I'm already
35:26 paying [ __ ] 20 a month to get access
35:29 to Gemini Advanced I'm paying whatever
35:33 the [ __ ] amount it is for Google
35:35 workspace the business thing for my
35:37 company if they make me pay another
35:40 subscription on top of that to get AI
35:42 then I think no I think I will tell them
35:44 to go suck a Google
35:52 egg the guy that invented tpus is the
35:55 one that
35:56 made the loou for grock
36:00 interesting that makes sense that makes
36:02 sense he's got some some way to make
36:05 super efficient chips that makes sense
36:06 to me what do you think this means for
36:09 developers who have
36:11 Apple Store apps will they need to make
36:17 updates what do I think what means like
36:19 if if if Apple has on device AI yeah I
36:24 think every app out there is going to
36:26 have to completely rebuild with they've
36:29 got including I I'm trying to think if I
36:33 my app is actually really simple
36:36 so I don't think I need AI on it but if
36:42 if built into the operating system or a
36:44 whole bunch of AI features that makes it
36:46 really easy to build into your apps then
36:47 then yeah it might make sense to do some
36:49 cool
36:54 stuff aips will be out this year I think
36:58 that's right I agree with
37:00 that and and I you know I also think I
37:04 mean if you think about if you get if
37:07 you start
37:11 getting decent quality large language
37:14 models on on mobile devices and on cheap
37:18 computers without a need for the
37:21 internet like that just changes so many
37:24 parts of the world that don't have
37:25 access to Internet don't have access to
37:28 knowledge don't have access
37:31 to a lot of the a lot of the stuff that
37:35 we're playing around with here now in
37:37 our in our you know fancy fancy America
37:40 first
37:42 country we're number one accept in
37:45 education
37:47 and and early early death rates and math
37:52 and geography but other than that we're
37:54 number one we're number one at arrogance
38:00 can one device AI be as
38:03 smart as chat
38:05 gbt possibly it depends what they're
38:08 doing it depends how they've got this
38:10 [ __ ] optimized see here's the thing that
38:12 we don't know
38:14 yet almost all of the technology that
38:17 we're playing with today is all using
38:18 the same basic um the same basic
38:21 underlying the Transformer
38:24 architecture it is possible that Apple
38:27 has come up with some new architecture
38:29 that makes it much easier to train
38:31 models or much easier to optimize models
38:33 or it's just a completely different
38:35 approach like we don't we don't know yet
38:39 you know what some of the some of the
38:42 breakthroughs that are coming might
38:44 might live in entirely different Tech
38:48 paradigms I doubt that's going to be
38:50 apple but it's possible but we'll
38:56 see
38:58 I want to hand over some of the data
39:00 entry stuff I do to an agent oh God me
39:03 you and me both any anything data entry
39:06 like putting data into Salesforce is is
39:10 truly one of the tortures on the
39:12 planet it's so bad it's so
39:17 bad this early that will wait this early
39:22 that will the PC wait
39:24 what this early what will the PC do for
39:28 me with
39:31 AI oh oh Mystic mates was asking one of
39:34 the other people okay if you have if you
39:37 have a a PC with AI on it and you don't
39:41 need a connection to the internet
39:43 basically you have you kind of have a
39:47 huge chunk of knowledge of the world
39:50 without needing to connect to the
39:53 internet right so you can be in any kind
39:57 of En environment and and and you
40:00 know you could be out in the middle of
40:02 the woods and so long as you've got a
40:04 little solar charger to you know charge
40:06 up your
40:07 battery
40:08 um like all the survival knowledge could
40:11 be right there at your hands and as
40:13 these things go multimodal and do video
40:15 and all sorts of [ __ ] like that like
40:16 it's going to get it's going to get
40:18 cuckoo so access is the is the big thing
40:22 with with you know Standalone devices
40:24 that have all this knowledge on
40:26 them AI PCS will be 60% of PCS shipped
40:30 in 20 by 2027
40:33 interesting interesting stat I wonder
40:35 where where's that coming
40:37 from do it silverfox says join the AI
40:40 Salon go to the salon. click on the
40:43 first link that says AI Salon community
40:45 and go read about what we're up to and
40:46 if you like what we're up to join that
40:48 Community it's good it's free by the way
40:51 the S sgpt oh the sgpt
40:55 shortcut you can make says it can't do
40:58 anything without express permission I
41:00 don't know what that
41:04 means fun to see giant apples playing
41:08 ketchup in the AI game I don't Google is
41:12 definitely playing catchup Apple just
41:15 has not played so I wouldn't say apple
41:17 is playing ketchup I apple is doing what
41:20 Apple does which is they sit back and
41:22 they
41:23 watch and they watch and they watch and
41:26 they watch people
41:30 Define do what they think is defining an
41:32 industry and then they come in and
41:35 completely redefine it so will they do
41:39 that with AI I don't know but I have a
41:42 feeling it's going to be pretty
41:46 something I already have most survival
41:48 stuff downloaded of course you new
41:54 Joker do you have do you have blue 55g
41:57 Drums of water in your basement or in
42:00 your
42:13 garage Mr it I worked in an automist
42:16 office I talked about chat GPT the
42:18 doctor asked me to teach him AI for $50
42:21 an hour the doctor ask you to teach him
42:23 AI for $50 an hour [ __ ] that tell him
42:27 you'll you teach him AI for the same
42:29 rate he charges you to doctor
42:33 you $50 an hour $50 an hour Mr it charge
42:38 him $300 an hour
42:40 what what's he charging you every time
42:43 you go in there for your throat swab
42:46 it's not $50 an hour [ __ ] $50 every
42:49 10 minutes it's it it's
42:51 $500 jeez
42:56 unbelievable
43:05 they're more like white
43:08 canisters yeah $200 minimum sir I I
43:11 agree with that I'd go two I'd go 2250
43:13 or 300 somewhere in that range $50 an
43:19 hour I wouldn't Mo was [ __ ] lawn for
43:21 $50 an
43:26 hour
43:30 uh yeah tell him he's out of network
43:32 exactly yeah say say there's a there's a
43:36 uh what do they call it the something of
43:38 benefits when you get the letter that
43:40 says yeah you're on your own we're not
43:42 paying for
43:44 [ __ ] explanation of benefits have chaty
43:48 wait let's go do
43:51 that okay here Mr it we're going to help
43:53 you this is going to be
43:56 good okay
43:58 we're going to
44:04 go I just had a doctor ask me to
44:08 give
44:11 lessons about Ai and he wants me to
44:15 charge him $50 an hour period I think
44:18 that's ridiculously
44:21 cheap how much do you think he's
44:23 charging me per hour when I go to see
44:25 him as a doctor let's see what chat GPT
44:35 says often exceeding one $1 to
44:39 $200
44:53 okay great I'd like to write a joke
44:56 explanation of benefits
45:00 letter
45:02 that says while I appreciate the offer
45:07 to charge $50 an hour for AI
45:10 unfortunately I'm going to have to
45:11 charge him two $200 an hour and his
45:14 insurance won't cover
45:19 it crafting a playful response AI
45:22 consultation and Education Services Inc
45:24 dear Dr so and so revised consultant
45:28 consultation fees for AI instruction
45:31 explanation of benefits thank you for
45:34 your recent request to engage in a
45:35 series of enlightening discussions on
45:38 the nuances of artificial intelligence
45:40 we are thrilled to embark on this
45:42 journey of technological Exploration
45:44 with you after a thorough analysis of
45:46 your request we find ourselves in a
45:48 position that requires a slight
45:51 adjustment to the proposed financial
45:53 terms of our educational partnership
45:56 while you're offering of $50 an hour for
45:58 AI instruction tickles are digital
46:01 sensors we must with all due respect to
46:03 your expertise in the medical field
46:06 re-calibrate therefore effective as of
46:08 this date a rate for AI educational
46:10 services will be adjusted to $200 an
46:13 hour benefits
46:15 include there you
46:19 go $50 an hour get over
46:25 here ah
46:28 yeah exactly yeah yeah we'll give it to
46:30 you for $50 an hour but the co- pay is
46:32 300
46:37 exactly we need to start an AI insurance
46:39 program I I I you know that idea of
46:44 being able to take your insurance policy
46:45 and have have these things read it you
46:50 know all right forever hooked is out on
46:52 date night have a good
46:56 night
46:58 cam kkin here good evening good evening
47:01 tickles are digital
47:05 sensors oh man I have 20 ways to start
47:09 okay all right I want to go I want to go
47:11 play with mid
47:13 Journey unless anyone has anything you
47:16 want to
47:20 [Music]
47:23 do I'll do whatever but in the ABS
47:28 of you guys wanting to do something
47:31 let's go do something I just made a
47:33 whole pile of images using character ref
47:36 in a couple of
47:38 different AI
47:43 things the hell is going on
47:56 there that's some strange version of me
47:58 in
47:59 Prague I don't know where this one
48:03 is oh that's a funny
48:05 [Laughter]
48:14 one show mid Journey CF plus setting I
48:19 can I can do I'll do I'll do CF and I'll
48:21 do Kyle backpacking through Europe yeah
48:24 that was something like that I
48:26 had I had look look at my three
48:30 legs diving off the church
48:38 steeple oh
48:42 man it's like the Matrix only
48:45 [Laughter]
48:53 shittier oh these are some cool Mars
48:56 shots
49:00 all right so let's let's let's go
49:10 play so what I where I am right now is
49:13 I'm at the mid Journey Alpha so if you
49:15 go to Mid journey.com if you go to
49:18 alpha. Mid journey.com and sign in if
49:21 you've made more than a
49:24 thousand images you get access access
49:28 to this site if not you still have to
49:31 make everything in
49:34 Discord so when you're making things in
49:43 Discord you've got to use these command
49:46 line things so so in Discord it would be
49:50 something like slash
49:52 imagine and then a prompt um a
49:58 photo of a
50:02 pretty
50:04 puppy and then I can go dash
50:08 dash I could go
50:13 sref
50:15 space and let's go grab one of these
50:19 images up here let's
50:23 see did CLA make any of these big yeah
50:26 that's a good one
50:27 so I'm going to rightclick this copy the
50:30 link so I I just want the URL of this
50:33 image so I just I just right clicked it
50:36 and copied the link and so down in my
50:39 little prompt
50:40 here you know slash imagine a photo of a
50:43 pretty puppy sref
50:47 space sref
50:49 space paste that URL
50:52 in and I'll just I'll just do that and
50:55 then it's going to make us something
50:56 here
51:03 um we'll see what it
51:08 does
51:10 the web
51:12 interface
51:15 um excuse me the web
51:20 interface you don't have to type
51:22 in all of those codes like I just did
51:25 but you can
51:27 it's
51:29 weird these are kind of interesting that
51:31 is a pretty
51:33 puppy and it grabbed like here's the
51:36 where's the reference image the
51:37 reference
51:42 style did I miss
51:45 it yeah there it is that
51:48 one so does it look like
51:52 that yeah in the neighborhood it's it
51:56 makes sense that it made black and white
52:00 puppy I like that one I like number
52:02 number two a lot upscale number
52:08 two and let's go upale
52:17 creative if you change angle of
52:21 perspective what happens to your
52:23 settings I don't know I figure we can we
52:26 can mess mess around with this oh bless
52:28 you oh thank you for all the bless yous
52:30 I'm like wait why is everyone saying
52:31 bless you bless you what happened I
52:33 sneezed I forgot I
52:35 sneezed you all are very sweet um I need
52:39 to spend this weekend weekend making a
52:41 thousand mid-journey pictures this this
52:43 lockout hurts I Cindy I'm the same way
52:46 like I I I am so lucky that that that
52:49 dude that works at Mid Journey came in
52:51 here and he kind of he told me I was
52:52 really close and he like helped me over
52:54 the hump um so I I definitely got a leg
52:58 up from an Insider uh it sucks not
53:01 having it are you seeing my messages
53:04 twice only if you type them twice I
53:07 think I just see it
53:11 [Music]
53:17 once all right let's see how nice this
53:19 is let's open it in
53:22 browser and let's see
53:25 how oh it's got weird
53:28 fur still pretty cute but the fur is
53:31 really weird that little spiky
53:34 fur all right so that's that so let's go
53:37 let's go out here because it's just it's
53:40 just easier to see
53:43 okay
53:44 so we'll go to create I'm going to close
53:47 this individual
53:51 image and then I think what we're going
53:53 to do is we're going to go
54:00 what we going to do let's go get a bunch
54:03 of interesting style reference
54:08 images all right so I'm going to
54:11 go
54:15 Styles oh I know where I'm going to go
54:18 go to
54:21 explorer. globe.
54:24 engineer if you want to play along
54:28 we'll we'll do a fun thing here so so
54:30 you can play along if you've got mid
54:31 Journey you can play along on Discord if
54:34 you've got web feel free to do that if
54:36 you don't um you could you
54:42 could you can just watch you could
54:44 probably do some version of this on
54:46 Leonardo but it's it's a pain in the ass
54:48 and I don't know how to do it but I'm
54:50 going to put into
54:51 here
54:55 styles of
55:05 art I burned through all my credit
55:07 credits in a
55:08 week testing janket
55:11 fires yeah well that's the thing is I
55:13 might end up I might end up with uh with
55:18 um blowing through my mid Journey
55:20 credits that's very possible so I've
55:22 been working in Discord all along but
55:24 tonight will be the first night with the
55:27 alpha oh that's really cool what's that
55:28 app name this app's name is explorer.
55:32 globe.
55:34 engineer I don't know what it's called
55:36 but if you haven't seen it what it does
55:37 is it creates this crazy ass
55:41 um uh outline like educational outline
55:44 and then gives you examples over here on
55:46 the on the
55:50 right why did it
55:55 stop oh it's still
56:03 going yeah I thought it
56:05 was oh this is
56:10 interesting I guess it's got to finish
56:12 making its outline over
56:17 here huh this is wild I probably should
56:20 have done this with one of the faster
56:22 things where can I go to lesson how to
56:25 prompt um
56:37 I don't know I
56:39 mean there there are probably an
56:41 infinite number of courses out there on
56:43 how to prompt I don't I don't
56:47 know I think
56:49 the this is possibly irresponsible but I
56:54 think the best way to learn to prompt is
56:55 to just prompt a lot and think about
56:59 prompting not like you're going to learn
57:01 the perfect prompt strategy but
57:05 that learn how to have a conversation
57:07 with a large language model just talk to
57:10 it just talk to
57:11 it um this thing looks like it crapped
57:14 out is it
57:17 still let me change I'm going to change
57:19 models here we'll do it with
57:23 3.5 styles of art search
57:28 all
57:30 right that's better we have more yes
57:34 okay good did it stop over
57:42 here well this is fine okay all right
57:49 so what we're going to
57:55 do
58:07 there's Banksy let's grab a Banks so I'm
58:09 just going to rightclick this or no not
58:11 I'm going to save it I'll save image
58:17 as save image as um what is what is it
58:21 oh this is a Banky
58:25 Banky so we'll do that
58:31 one that's what's his name Andrew what's
58:34 his name gold gold worthy or whatever it
58:36 is like his
58:38 stuff graffiti we'll grab this pixel art
58:42 one save image
58:46 as pixel
58:55 art
58:57 [Music]
59:00 uh retro pop looks
59:03 cool save image as it'll make sense what
59:06 I'm doing here in a second retro
59:09 pop if you don't know what I was doing
59:12 it'll make sense soon enough this one
59:14 this
59:15 automatism it's pretty cool never even
59:18 heard of that Auto
59:25 matism
59:27 minimalism is kind of cool let's grab
59:29 that one although it's not let's see
59:31 let's go to that
59:33 page oh good
59:37 lord where's my
59:39 tab where is I there I
59:48 is all right we'll do photo realism all
59:51 right save image as oh I guess we should
59:54 do Post impressionism
59:59 photo realism I feel like the uh the van
1:00:04 Go stuff is so cliche at this
1:00:09 point analytical cubism let's do that
1:00:12 instead of Van
1:00:19 go okay so what we're going to do
1:00:24 here then the other thing I need to do
1:00:27 is I need to figure out oh here we go I
1:00:29 wonder oh this this will be interesting
1:00:30 to see if it can figure this out
1:00:33 um
1:00:35 um
1:00:36 Mid
1:00:42 Journey
1:00:44 style
1:00:55 reference style
1:01:02 guides no that didn't do what I wanted
1:01:04 all
1:01:06 right mid
1:01:09 joury
1:01:10 [Music]
1:01:12 joury

1:01:22 journy I just need to get I think it's
1:01:24 zero to a thousand and I'm just trying
1:01:26 to figure out here what it is let's
1:01:55 see
