10. 2:45shared it in the uh the Irregulars channel on Discord which I'm going to talk about I figured out a way to this has been happening kind of
11. 2:56organically but if you're a subscriber to the Channel now I've figured out a way that you can I can automatically

20. 4:23Shannon uh I'm an entrepreneur and uh co-founder and CEO of a company called storyvine which is an automated video
21. 4:29story retelling platform we're rolling a bunch of AI into that um doing some doing some fun work with aii on that uh
22. 4:38I am not a mathematician or a data scientist but I am deeply deeply interested in Ai and and especially I
23. 4:48was an entrepreneur in the early days of the worldwide web um I was a co-founder of a company called agency.com which was
24. 4:55one of the early digital agencies and this AI stuff feels a lot like the early days of the web but faster and more profound
25. 5:07so so I've been coming here night after night uh you know sharing uh doing what I can to talk about AI answer questions
26. 5:16demo stuff so if you have questions about it pop it in the comments below do me a favor uh if you would share the

30. 5:56start what is this stuff why is everyone talking about it isn't it just like fancy Google sort of sort of except then it's not at
31. 6:10all there's a way you can use it where it feels like fancy Google um Sher D thank you for sharing the live that's
32. 6:17great um oh it's the slinky patent now I get it that's in fact a great idea yeah I know isn't it cool look the here's the
33. 6:24like the stairs and this is I wonder if this is where they got the idea for cubert remember the the video game [Laughter]
34. 6:39cubert AI learning lav and sound effects Channel if you're new to this AI stuff if if you're if you're really trying to
35. 6:46figure it out and figure out what the big deal is and why everyone's talking about it what's going on I'm going to
36. 6:50give you I'm going to give you a hand here now if you have used it get ready there are 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 seven slides of
37. 7:00resources here all right get ready to screenshot you don't have to write all these down we need some key messages for what
38. 7:08orgs should ask agencies about where they are with AI I'm happy to talk about that the agencies aren't going to like
39. 7:19the questions I'm going to give you to ask them oh my God I show up right as you started with the funny noise
40. 7:30say what were you doing with your stomach oh hey Monique it's my co-founder I was just showing them I was showing this is the slinky
41. 7:41patent and they have um the stairs where the slinkies going down the stairs and then I I said I wonder if that's where
42. 7:49the the game cubert got its idea cuz cubert was this isometric 3D cubes that this little dude jumped around and it
43. 7:56looks just like that so that was it say hi to Mo'Nique she's my co-founder at storyvine okay so here's
44. 8:07what we're going to do if you're brand new to this AI stuff the only thing you really need to if you're just starting just start with
45. 8:16the chat jpt the one the one on the far left there on the top chat. open.com um the a little color coding on
46. 8:23on my charts here I picked out of each chart the one that I think is the the one I'm I don't know most that I think
47. 8:30is most valuable right now these things are changing dramatically so um chat GPT is the one to start with chat jpt is now
48. 8:38actually eight or nine different applications there's all these different modes in it they all do different things
49. 8:46and most of them are quite remarkable so just just go start playing with chat GPT all those extra modes are only available
50. 8:53if you have a chat GPT Plus account but um but even even just basic chat GPT is really good then you got Claude Bard and Bing those
51. 9:01are your top four these are the ones that are not going away they're going to get better and better and better in fact
52. 9:06Bard is about to get um Bard is about to get really good when when Google announc or when they release this thing called
53. 9:13Gemini which is rumored to be better than chat gp4 I'll believe it when I see it okay that's that one the next thing
54. 9:22screenshot this so these are other important large language models um perplexity um is good for research pie
55. 9:30especially the IOS app put it in conversation mode and you can talk to it you literally just talk and it answers
56. 9:37you just have a conversation you don't have to hit the submit button anything it's connected to the internet and it's
57. 9:43from this company called inflection that just raised $1.3 billion doll so I think they're going to be uh a major player um
58. 9:50PO is getting better and better and better it's got a bot maker it lets you play with like a dozen different large
59. 9:57language models including the llama models and and the U B's Palm models and um Claude and chat GPT and a bunch of
60. 10:07stuff so so it's really good all right image creation mid Journey for the past two years has been de facto the best of the
61. 10:18image generation tools and then um they're getting a little sleepy although I did just see they just released um a
62. 10:27new version of the website where you can view that the art that you've created on on their Discord Channel which is the
63. 10:32only way you can make art right now um I think they're about to release a website where you can make art so so just pay
64. 10:39attention to Mid Journey it's really good if you want high quality art it's mid journey dolly3 is my new darling
65. 10:44right now because dolly3 now lives inside chat GPT you don't have to learn image prompting all you have to do is
66. 10:53like have a conversation about whatever write a children's book or a marketing plan or a social media concept or social
67. 11:01media headline and then have it generate the image it's amazing I I'll I'll likely demo that tonight um Firefly is
68. 11:07really good it hasn't been trained on any copywritten material so if you're in a big company the Adobe products are are
69. 11:14really good for generative AI stuff not as good as the ones that have been trained on copywritten material isn't that
70. 11:21funny but uh but if you if your uh if your if your bosses are a little concerned about you getting your uh
71. 11:29and then Leonardo a is really powerful sitting on top of stable diffusion all right so that's image generation oh and
72. 11:35prompt book that thing on the bottom open art.i promptbook that will teach you how to talk to these things it's
73. 11:41really good it's really good okay all right let's see what we got here video creation this is still so video creation
74. 11:50right now a lot of these tools I like to I like to say in here are janky pieces of [ __ ] they're just janky they're just a mess right now
75. 11:59video is really a mess that what it does is it just it it makes video and sometimes it's really impressive and
76. 12:05then you know nine times out of 10 like your your face will just warp and morph and do all sorts of crazy stuff so it's
77. 12:13kind of all over the place um but Runway ml Moon Valley and pabs the three on the left they all kind of do the same thing
78. 12:20text to video image to video things like that um Visa's kind of a if you need a corporate like explainer video that's
79. 12:28pretty good uh it just it just assembles stock video but then it writes um a uh a narration and then it narrates it and
80. 12:37puts music behind it it's pretty slick Heen and did are both voice synthesis um AIS that also do animation
81. 12:48of the mouth so like you create an image in doly or mid Journey pop it into hey genen and animate it bring it to life
82. 12:55heyen also has this thing uh where they do video translations in 13 different languages it's flipping remarkable okay um music and audio 11
83. 13:07labs for audio for voice synthesis you can make a model of your own voice and then just type in text and it'll make a
84. 13:13voice refusion and sound draw make uh write music for you the other question mark there is just I don't I there's not
85. 13:20one right now that has kind of risen above the noise pun intended get it rise above the Noise music audio no ER all
86. 13:29right Seems Like Only Yesterday we have three things on the list I know Tobias this is [ __ ] exhausting isn't it oh
87. 13:36by the way this list is like a I'm not on any of the payrolls of these companies none of them are paying me
88. 13:42this is all just stuff that I think it's worth paying attention to because things are moving so fast there there are
89. 13:48literally thousands I'll show you a directory here in a second there are literally thousands of AI tools it's
90. 13:54impossible to keep up with them even just keeping up with one or two is is is insane um but depending on what you're
91. 14:02interested in that's why I'm I'm showing all this stuff okay 3D worlds and objects blockade laabs is really fun
92. 14:08Skybox blad labs.com just go there type in a world and it'll make a world for you that you can twirl around
93. 14:15360° um not super sophisticated but really really slick and then Wonder Dynamics is super sophisticated so you
94. 14:23upload video of like a person walking upstairs and then uh you pick a robot and it will replace the person with a
95. 14:30robot in the video like like professional rotoscoping kind of special effects but it just does it with AI
96. 14:37without you know you of to do any work so pretty amazing stuff um okay so those are all the tools here are some people to follow Ethan
97. 14:46mullik is Wharton business school Professor one useful thing is the um is his blog he's posting a lot on LinkedIn
98. 14:57lately um in the past three weeks um chat GPT has gotten a lot of new tools and so he's testing them and just he's
99. 15:05just putting a lot out so follow him on LinkedIn follow him on Twitter and and go to his blog David Shapiro is working
100. 15:11on AGI an open source AGI project the guy's a [ __ ] genius certifiable um he's also neuros spicy so that's fun welcome to
101. 15:23chadad Paul rer with the marketing AI Institute if you're in business you should absolutely follow him you should
102. 15:29absolutely listen to his weekly podcast and then Rachel woods from the AI exchange is is also um good and business
103. 15:37focused and on Tik Tok um futurepedia doio and there's an AI for that are those directories I talked about there's
104. 15:445,000 um plus Tools in there so if if the 27 tools I just showed you weren't enough there's some more rabbit holes
105. 15:54there um and then the other thing is this um so so you can subscribe to this Channel and and I went through and I learned
106. 16:04some new things about what what we can do for subscribers aoy sir Kyle aoy aular Hey Ron what's happening so if
107. 16:11you're a subscriber on the channel um I mentioned before that we've got this Discord called the AI Salon Discord so
108. 16:18the the salon's a community I started uh about a year ago I'll give you information on it but there's a private
109. 16:24channel in there for the Irregulars so the people that show up here regularly um I've now figured out a way if you're
110. 16:29a subscriber I can automatically assign you that private Channel Discord role um and the the Channel's starting to get
111. 16:38more popular so it used to be where I would it you know there'd be 15 or 20 of us in here and the channel was i' just
112. 16:45go through and I would answer every single question and now it's gotten a bit a bit more chaotic than that as more
113. 16:50people are coming in so we have moderators and things like that so if you're a subscriber like I just see Ron
114. 16:55there's got the subscriber tag if you're a subscriber um your questions will get prioritized I'll try to answer other

118. 17:21sudden you know now that DOI is so easy easy to make images I'll be talking and as I'm talking they're making images in
119. 17:27real time and sh sh ing them so a lot of the images I share here are are from the Irregulars um and and we feature them so
120. 17:35these are from Ted that one's from Ted isn't that awesome it's freaking crazy I think that's Sherry's and that's def definitely
121. 17:44Sherri's that's from the Irregulars these are the uh the custom diapers that that the Irregulars uh get a free sample

134. 19:34kind of a drag but uh we got a scammer scammer scammer alert so so uh if if you follow this Channel and and learning has
135. 19:48two L's in front of it that's not me that's a guy that stole all my videos stole my name and is trying to get you
136. 19:53to buy his crappy crypto [ __ ] oh Tobias thank you so much um the real AI learning lab just has one L in it it's
137. 20:02like it's like I know how to spell so anyway all right so any questions you have pop them in the comments below the mods will pin them I

139. 20:22thing last night I for whatever reason I can't get Tik Tock to to post this video so so um there was a guy in last night
140. 20:31that said hey you know what could chat GPT do for a fashion brand and I just said well let's let's go look and so we
141. 20:38took some pictures from the internet of fashion we took it into chat GPT it's now got Vision it can see images right
142. 20:46and it can describe them so I had it describe some fashion and then I had it describe a new design based on those two
143. 20:55things thanks Sherry D appreciate that um and and then within like 10 minutes I had this incredible design like like a a
144. 21:06photo of a fashion runway with this design that sort of I made but uh it was it was really cool so so I can do things
145. 21:14like that I'm happy to answer any questions Tobias glad you brought up subscribe I didn't know what it was
146. 21:18about you know what's funny Tobias I didn't either like when I as as you know you've been here for a while um I you
147. 21:26know I've been kind of stumbling through in what Tik Tok is and and what what's ah howy I wish I could quit you boy uh
148. 21:38um you as I've been learning what it is what in in the past month especially the the the community here
149. 21:47has really been developing I feel like as these tools are getting more sophisticated and as we've got regular
150. 21:52people that are coming back here night after night by the way I've been doing this every night 7 days a week for two
151. 21:59to three hours for the past four months um a because I'm nuts but B because I think this is really important and and
152. 22:09the whole idea here is to get the word out demystify this stuff get people excited about it get people collaborating and the collaborating
153. 22:16thing thank you very much be not afraid I appreciate that the collaborating thing is really starting to happen and
154. 22:22this this idea of sort of you know U connecting between here and the Discord and sharing images and all that sort of
155. 22:29stuff what's starting to happen is like people are like doing problem solving on their own they're creating projects
156. 22:35together it's really exciting so um so the the Subscribe thing supports the channel but it also just is that idea of
157. 22:43like really creating this connected community so so yeah so I went and looked at that and and as I understand
158. 22:49more of that um there'll be more and more subscriber perks but right now um the fact that I can automatically create
159. 22:55um a Discord uh what's it called roll uh is a big deal so I'm excited about it okay so let's get some questions going

164. 23:46was wasn't Nancy I don't know anyway um what we're seeing pretty regularly in here is that the people that are getting
165. 23:57really curious I and adventurous about this stuff that are sharing it with people um they're starting to see a lot
166. 24:03of activity in their lives like professionally like good activity um where people are like oh hey you know
167. 24:09about this right can you help me I use chat GPT for today to do my tarot card reading pretty spot on on a novice level yeah yeah exactly
168. 24:21um the the other thing you can do with the with the tarot stuff is is you can if you if you modify your prompts and modify
169. 24:34your um custom instructions you could probably get it to get better and better I can't subscribe because I can't remember my Apple
170. 24:43password I'm I'm totally like that my my wife for a while had two there was one on like one thing and like an iTunes
171. 24:51password was different than her Mac password and and it it was a nightmare to fix it yeah that's that's a that's a
172. 24:58drag because then you ask him to reset your password and then it's like a whole 17 step authentication [ __ ] nightmare
173. 25:08where somewhere in those 17 steps it's like well you got to know your password to get past this step it's like come on oh nice
174. 25:22Joker so here's something from the Irregulars channel from uh from the Runway so we have some inside jokes here

178. 26:11on all right my company wants to give a wants me to give a presentation thinking about it Earth rocker Earth rocker don't think about it
179. 26:21don't think about it do it do it do it so so here's the deal here I I promise you this so I know this from the early days
180. 26:34of the web so so so in 1994 when I started discovering this web the this thing called the worldwide web I'm like
181. 26:41what is this thing and I started this group called the worldwide web artist Consortium the the AI Salon is a similar
182. 26:47kind of group um because we're in a similar kind of phase of history and um I started that group in 1994 because
183. 26:58I was like like I just I'm I'm barely learning this right now I don't know anything about this and I'm like but
184. 27:06there must be people that know more than I do so I started this group and we met in an old acting studio because I was
185. 27:14you know an actor at the time in New York we met in a rehearsal Studio on 26th Street and 10 people showed up and
186. 27:25nobody [ __ ] knew anything and then the next meeting four people showed up and then the next meeting zero people showed up and I'm like
187. 27:34[ __ ] and then the next meeting 20 people showed up and then it very quickly got to the point we were having 250 300
188. 27:43person meetings um we got free office space in Sony headquarters it was they they had this massive conference room
189. 27:51that sat 300 people that's where we'd meet every other week and it was probably three years where nobody
190. 28:01knew anything everyone was trying to figure it out so if if you've got um if you've got people at work that are
191. 28:10recognizing that you know more than they do and they're asking you to do it do it you you you seriously know way more than
192. 28:19anyone who will be in the room and even if you don't you'll find a compatriot in them so I like I I just it's one of the things
193. 28:28I try not to be preachy about AI like I don't really give a [ __ ] if you like AI or hate it I just want you to try it I
194. 28:33want you to be educated about it but the thing I get a little bit preachy about is I want everyone in here to share what
195. 28:39you're learning share what you're learning share the experiments share the good share the bed share your Kevin
196. 28:45McAllister moments I talk about that a lot like this moment where you just realize oh my God it can do that share all of
197. 28:54it because even if people think you're a [ __ ] weirdo 3 months from now 6 months from now maybe they get laid off maybe they
198. 29:04hear about it again maybe something happens and they're like hey are you still doing that AI stuff oh yeah yeah I
199. 29:10saw you post on LinkedIn could you help me figure it out they want to lunch and learn so I think I will absolutely do it Earth
200. 29:18rocker and then come back and tell us about it that just happened with cuno so cuno cuno when she started in here she
201. 29:25was like I there Ethan right around the time cuno started hanging out Ethan mullik put out this piece called um
202. 29:32detecting the SEC your detecting the secret cyborgs and bills 24 bucks 10 and a third football awesome thanks
203. 29:43Tobias yeah I don't have any football on over there um but secret cyborgs were people in companies who are getting secretly AI
204. 29:52literate and not really telling the company about it and so so cuno I don't know if she was a secret cyborg but you
205. 29:57know she was early and then she started talking to a few people about it and then and then she got invited to do a
206. 30:03workshop I think and then and now she's got people like people are saying hey I heard you you're good with this AI stuff
207. 30:10like people are talking to each other about her and she works in a big company right so this is this is going to be good for
208. 30:18her right it's it's and even if you don't work in a big company um once you have that realization that oh my God these things are something
209. 30:31different right these things are a big deal you can't unlearn that and so why not lean into it because
210. 30:41the opportunity for anyone that gets at all AI literate in the next 18 months is going to be huge the industry right now
211. 30:47is like this big it's teeny it's teeny teeny teeny and it's about to do this and and you might think that oh it's
212. 30:56overhyped and it's over over blown and it's going to be like blockchain and nfts it's just going to flame out it
213. 31:01isn't it isn't like Microsoft is rolling it into their entire product line their operating systems their cloud services
214. 31:11Office 365 November 1st a week from today a week somewhere next week next Wednesday um they're rolling chat GPT into Office
215. 31:24365 they're calling it co-pilot you're going to be able to be in a Word document and go turn this into a
216. 31:31PowerPoint presentation and it just will flip over to PowerPoint and write you a powerpoint presentation Based On Your
217. 31:37Word document like that's coming next week this stuff's going to be ubiquitous what can you do to have chat
218. 31:44gbt answer without leaning on one specific political ideology um right in custom instructions do you know what custom instructions are so so
219. 31:57there's there's there's a couple of things so so while there may be bias in the training because it was trained on the
220. 32:06public internet and that that skews heavy to the US and it skews heavy to the left and it skews heavy mail just
221. 32:13because that's who's put [ __ ] on the internet for the past 40 years so so there's some bias in the training model there's potentially some
222. 32:22bias in who did the human reinforcement learning so if it's the kind of thing where the bias is so heavy you can't get
223. 32:31around it that might be an issue but if you're just going in and say what's your opinion on this or that and it leans one way or the
224. 32:39other you're not likely giving it enough context right do you want it to lean more to the right do you want it to lean
225. 32:47more toward libertarian if you want to do that then tell it say hey I want you to act as a Libertarian political
226. 32:53analyst and I want you to think about this topic from that point of view View and then it will or you could say hey I
227. 33:00want you to be a completely neutral entity here and when I give you a political topic I want you to respond
228. 33:07with a table that's got the conservative view the the middle of the road View and the uh in the left View and I want to
229. 33:15see all those together um so so you can modify um your prompting to get it to lean a direction or another you can
230. 33:25also make it say stuff that will piss you off and make it say stuff that will support your biases it's it's really there to serve
231. 33:37what you need so how you how you provide it context is how it's going to respond to you does Vision on chat GPT only work
232. 33:44on computers no it doesn't I don't see it on my iPad Pro maybe toss and maybe toss and re-upload oh oh well so let me show it to you
233. 34:03okay here's chat GPT on the old iPad okay okay and so you've got three different modes if if you pay for chat GPT plus
234. 34:16you have these three different modes if you don't pay for chat GPT plus I do not think you get access to GPT Vision if
235. 34:25you've paid for chat GPT plus um you do get it but this is really screwed up so the thing to make images
236. 34:34is do that's down there at the bottom that can't see images it can just make images to see images you go to default
237. 34:40mode like Unfortunately they didn't say they didn't say um you know here's a Mode called GPT Vision it's just in
238. 34:48default mode see those purple icons to the left of the box that the camera the whatever that is uh the picture and the
239. 34:59folder so I'm going to turn on the camera and I'll just take a picture of my shelf my shelf full of crap so there's the
240. 35:11image and I'm going to ask it um let's see um what kind of whiskey is that so I'm going to ask you
241. 35:26what kind of whis Ry is that I don't know if it's going to do this well we'll see can it see it oh yeah there's a

276. 41:02and and I said make an image and it wrote some python code and and it wrote the it wrote The Prompt but it it the python code never
277. 41:13fired off do it didn't fire off the plugin so and I I I quit the app and restarted it and it worked fine on
278. 41:20desktop so I don't know this you know back to that idea this technology is is a little janky little janky still it's going to be
279. 41:28janky for another year or two um but don't let the fact that it's not perfect fool you into thinking it's not
280. 41:38significant and profound does it need a lot of resources on your PC it does not because all of that so it needs a lot of resources um there
281. 41:49are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of computers with these big gpus Graphics processing units um
282. 41:58sitting in Microsoft servers Google servers Amazon servers so most of the processing for this is done in the cloud so when you
283. 42:08write your prompt in it actually sends that or you know some mathematical probability version of that off to open
284. 42:16AI which then does all the processing and then it sends you back the answer that's why there's a delay so so if I'm
285. 42:22using I'll I'll show here's another this is another um large language model called Pi that also has a conversational
286. 42:32mode I had a dream last night then I was in a rowboat rowing backwards and I got swallowed up by the muddy water of a

297. 44:16multimodal you can upload images and it can sort of see them now it hallucinates a lot and it's not great but it works

360. 55:39and have it teach you the stuff you don't know and walk you through it walk you through a step-by-step tutorial for
361. 55:45for doing what you want to do it will teach you this this is one of the powerful things about these tools the the the what Google has
362. 55:56trained us is we need to figure out the perfect prompt to put in and it needs to be this concise perfect little thing and
363. 56:02then there's all these other people going you need to learn prompt engineering and you're like prompt engineering God that sounds hard do I
364. 56:08need to be an engineer I can't do that no you don't these tools are getting incredibly sophisticated incredibly fast
365. 56:16and you can ask it to prompt itself say how would you prompt yourself to accomplish this task and it will tell
366. 56:23you what to do and then you say okay could you do that and it will um I need to start from scratch what do I do okay

377. 57:52them okay for the person just just starting out just start with chat GPT here's what you're going to do just go
378. 58:01there and do what I call parlor tricks just try to stump it have it do anything have it write you a country song about
379. 58:09your pet have it write you a marketing plan for the business you never started have it write you a business plan for
380. 58:16the business you're dreaming of starting um have it help you outline a novel have it just just go start asking it questions and
381. 58:26and you can give it a lot of context meaning you can say tell it you want it to act like a certain kind of character
382. 58:34if you go to that um the the prompt. chat that URL at the bottom that's a document called awesome chat GPT
383. 58:43prompts that document will teach you how to talk to these things they're all kind of the same they're all using the same basic
384. 58:50technology and they are all kind of the opposite of a Google search so a Google search Google has taught us put in as
385. 58:57few words as possible and then we'll do all the work these things actually need more words they need more context so
386. 59:05what prompt. chat will teach you is a technique where you have chat GPT act like a certain kind of character so act
387. 59:11like a mathematician act like a historian act like a poker player act like a comedian act like a poet and then it the prompts in prompt.
388. 59:22chat will will put a lot of context in into the prompt and then you can ask it really specific things in that context
389. 59:30so if it's a poet have it write you poems now you can just go to chat GPT and say write me a poem about the sky
390. 59:36and what it will write you is a poem that's really shitty but if you go in there and you say you've got your PhD in poetry and
391. 59:45you're a published award-winning poet and you you love the following poets TS Elliot and and this one and that one and
392. 59:55that one and and now I want you to write me a poem about this guy you will get a markedly better poem um so just go start
393. 1:00:04playing and seriously I mean like don't feel like you have to learn anything don't feel like it's work just go play
394. 1:00:12because these tools are [ __ ] magic there's a there's a I think it's an is it Isaac azimoff I think it's an azimoff quote that says any
395. 1:00:25um sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from Magic when you understand how these things work it is staggering that they

853. 2:16:30you the like we we are we are we are within spitting distance of that whole industry being flush down the toilet and
854. 2:16:43it should be it's it is it is it has d destroyed customer experience for almost every company the amount of bad
855. 2:16:55will generated by these stupid [ __ ] phone tree systems that you call into and like you sit on hold for 30 minutes
856. 2:17:05or they call you back 30 minutes later and it was the it was the 30 seconds that you took the garbage out as when
857. 2:17:11they called and you didn't take your phone with you so you missed the call and now you got to wait for another

942. 2:32:25install on your iPad or install on a small Raspberry Pi or just a laptop where you can you can have all this knowledge that we've got now in
943. 2:32:35gp4 locally on your machine so it'll be instant and you'll have all of the knowledge of the history of humanity
944. 2:32:45right on your machine not not connected to the internet you could be in the middle of the forest and have access to oh [ __ ]
945. 2:32:53how do I survive and all of your survival skills are right there like like within a year so no I don't I don't see I I think I think you
946. 2:33:05know like like like Apple products the Leading Edge of these Technologies are always going to be pricier and then it will just trickle

948. 2:33:20entire developer Community are working on all sorts of different ways to produce their own Foundation model so

953. 2:34:21couple of things here if you want to do math with chat GPT do it inside Advanced Data analysis because there it's
954. 2:34:28actually writing and executing python code and there there's a trick about Advanced Data analysis if you leave the
955. 2:34:36session too long it will shut down the session and you might lose some of your work enough to start over so if you're
956. 2:34:42doing Advanced Data analysis make sure you're getting your your data and your exports out of there but it can actually
957. 2:34:49do math there what you likely ran into in chat GPT 4 is chat GPT has a 4,000 token context window but Kyle what does that mean it
958. 2:35:00doesn't mean [ __ ] tokens roughly translate to about 3/4 of the amount of tokens um are are words so for 4,000 tokens it it
959. 2:35:13essentially translates to 3,000 words so chat GPT has a 3,000-word context window okay and so what that means is you start
960. 2:35:25typing down here and you say hey I want to start this math problem and it says okay sure what do you want to do and as
961. 2:35:31as it's as you're creating [ __ ] and it's answering [ __ ] it's you know filling up there's there's 500 tokens there's
962. 2:35:38thousand there's 2,000 there's right when it gets to 3,000 the beginning of your conversation goes was out of that context
963. 2:35:47window so let's say the important part of your conversation was establishing the formulas to do all the math you're
964. 2:35:54doing down there at some point those formulas drift out of the context window and all the math goes out the window so
965. 2:36:02if you've ever and it's not just with math if you've ever been talking to chat GPT and things are going along
966. 2:36:07swimmingly and then it just all of a sudden seems like like it seems to have forgotten what the [ __ ] you're talking
967. 2:36:13about it's because it forgot what the [ __ ] you were talking about so couple of things to do especially
968. 2:36:20with math use code interpreter because even though it's got a 3,000 token context window it's it's it's kind of
969. 2:36:28prompting itself and it's doing this internal stuff that's kind of independent of what you're doing so I I
970. 2:36:33don't understand it a lot but it can do math a lot better there the other thing you can do is use Claude so so
971. 2:36:44Claude has has a 100,000 token context window remember I said about 3/4 of that is words that means it's a 75,000 word
972. 2:36:53context window to put that in context Silver Fox I've lost big projects before yeah I was in data mode it couldn't do fresh
973. 2:37:04Matrix nailed it last week probably needs new chat oh that sucks Robert yeah so if you're if you if you're already in
974. 2:37:13in that mode there there's another thing going on right now Robert called um model drift and it's it's kind of a polite term
975. 2:37:23for they are actively developing these tools while we're using them so it's very possible that the [ __ ] that worked
976. 2:37:32last week they changed something in the algorithm or in a weight or in something that it just doesn't work as good now so
977. 2:37:38so so that's a possibility I've also noticed within um code interpreter within Advanced Data analysis that
978. 2:37:46like sometimes it it's very predictable and other times it's completely unpredictable so it it's a good lesson
979. 2:37:53we we're just we we're just in a mode right now where these tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] and you kind of try not
980. 2:38:01to take the stuff too seriously right now because it will disappoint you um but also understand that these tools are
981. 2:38:08the as bad as they're ever going to be right now um we were discussing whether chat GPT could go could extract text
982. 2:38:16over an image yes it can janky s 4,000 yeah token capacity so yeah exactly so claw has uh 100,000 tokens
983. 2:38:26that's 75,000 words um The Great Gatsby is a 50,000-word novel so you could put the entire Great Gatsby in a Claud
984. 2:38:35prompt and ask it to write an epilogue and it would do it so that might be another place to play the other thing to
985. 2:38:42try Robert might be Bard cuz Bard's better at some of the math and programming stuff than chat GPT from
986. 2:38:50what I understand um but I don't I don't really know the context window situation over there I I I assume it's small also
987. 2:38:57writing a large book I reprompt the whole thing every six paragraphs yeah I that's the kind that's that's actually a
988. 2:39:03good strategy it's a pain in the ass but again Robert try Claude because it's that 100,000 um token uh window for Claude is a is is a
989. 2:39:14really big deal any time I'm dealing with anything that's either a long conversation or big documents I do Claud
990. 2:39:20not chat gbt what I'll often do is I'll do Claude for initial analysis and then once I have it distilled down I'll pop it into um chat
991. 2:39:29gbt um ask for summary of your work so far just in case yeah that's a good idea too Papa JJ yep where yeah re summarize
992. 2:39:38where we are and what you understand actually that's that's probably a good way to test if things have blown out of
993. 2:39:43the top of your context window ask for a summary of work done so far in a bulleted list and see if anything's
994. 2:39:49missing from that list and if it is then reprompt it back in and and if your response right now is oh my God this seems like so much work
995. 2:40:00Kyle is this is this really what we have to do is this do I I have to think about this [ __ ] yeah right now you do you

1006. 2:41:43that's a great use case these things are remarkable at summarizing documents but anyway Robert I would try code llama I
1007. 2:41:49would try Bard and I would try Claude all three of those might give you less AA that's so
