[music] She came on him like slow moving cold fronts.
0:29
His beard was warmer [singing and music] than a look in her eye. She sat on a stool and he said, "What do you want?"
0:44
She said, "Give me a love that don't freeze up inside." He said, "I have melted some house in my
1:00
time, dear." But to sit next to you while I shiver and shake. Oops.
1:15
And if I knew love, well, I don't think I'd [singing] be here asking myself if I've got what it takes. [music]
1:29
GOOD EVENING, GOOD PEOPLE. WELCOME TO THE AI Learning Lab pre-show. This is the show before the show. This is where
1:35
we get things rolling. Uh, welcome if you're on Tik Tok or X. Welcome if you're on YouTube or LinkedIn. Uh if you
1:42
want to join the show, the show starts in 20 minutes over on the AI Salon. Uh if you haven't been to the AI Salon, you
1:48
should join us. You should come. It's a remarkable group of people. It's free. Um Wednesday nights are where we demo
1:56
things and play with things. There's all sorts of cool stuff that we're going to look at tonight. Uh we're going to look
2:01
at something that Brandon vibe coded that the community will be very happy about. We're gonna look at something
2:09
that Lord Digital Gods built that's an homage to Champy the singing dog. You want to sing Champy? You want to sing?
2:25
Champy sing. Well, I heard there [music and singing] was a secret code. No, nothing. If it played and it please a lot.
2:36
You don't really care for [singing and music] music, do you? Champy's not singing tonight. [laughter]
2:47
Good evening, good people. All right, so if you want to join us in the AI salon, you click on the uh in the in the
2:54
description. If you're on LinkedIn or YouTube, in the description is the link over to the AI Salon. And if you're on X
3:00
or Tik Tok, it's right up in my profile. So you just go there. Dr. J, hello. What's happening? Good to see a bunch of
3:06
new people over there on Tik Tok. Please join us over in the AI salon in 15 minutes.
3:29
>> [music] [music]
3:52
>> I didn't mean to cause you any sorrow. [music] Didn't mean to cause you any pain. Only one time to see you laughing.
4:09
Only want to see you laughing in that purple rain. Purple rain. Purple rain. Purple rain. Purple rain.
4:26
Purple rain. Purple rain. I only want to see you laughing in that purple rain.
4:40
Um, okay. So, what we're going to do tonight is we're going to play with a bunch of stuff. I have an idea for an app.
4:47
So, I'm gonna I'm going to figure out how to design it and how to make it unique and interesting looking. I don't
4:53
know how I'm going to do that yet. So, you're going to watch me flail. Um, that's going to be fun. We're going to
4:58
have uh producer Brandon come up and demo what he built. We're going to play Champ the Singing Dog video game,
5:05
the platformer that Lord Digital Gods built. Uh, so it's going to be a fun night. If you have any questions about
5:12
uh AI, how it works, what to do, where to start, that's what the show's all about. So, it's the AI learning lab.
5:19
We'll be live at 7:30 Mountain time. So, exactly 15 minutes from now, if you're on LinkedIn or YouTube, just go to the
5:26
description of this video, you'll see the link over to the AI salon. And then, if you are on Tik Tocker X, it's in my
5:33
profile. I hid it up there. You know why? Because they you can't stick it somewhere else. And you got to be
5:40
careful where you stick it. That's what they say. Where did you stick it? I wasn't sure. Oh, well, there's your problem. [laughter]
5:54
I miss the old days. Hey, I China. What's happening? I know. The old days are old. They're gone. Actually,
6:06
something that Brandon vibe coded will make people on mobile much happier. So, you should come over see what he did.
6:18
AI things were simpler than Here's the thing. I on China, you're what what you're hitting on is actually um
6:26
it's really important that time was four years ago. If you if you wanted to use AI, you just had the prompt hole and you
6:36
put words in it and you got an answer out. It was it was easy. And it's not easy anymore. It's complicated. And there's harnesses and
6:44
agentic frameworks and local models and cloud models and your your your textbased brain files and your it's it's
6:54
a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot and it's moving fast. And so one of the things that um is just an ongoing skill with AI is are you are you
7:06
willing and curious enough to kind of adapt as these things move forward. And if you are, cool. And if you're not, it
7:13
doesn't [ __ ] matter because it's just going to keep going. At some point, you'll be able to hop on. Here's the
7:19
here's the way I see this going, though. We're probably approaching the most complicated it will ever be for
7:27
the end user, right? So, it started out very simple for the end user because the tools were very basic. The LLMs were
7:34
very basic and then and then they've done what software companies always do. Oh, wouldn't it be cool if you know they
7:41
have people like me running around the place, hey, you know, it' be cool. What if we add this feature? Oh, you know,
7:46
it' be cool. We should add that feature. And in a company like OpenAI where they split everyone up into pods of six or
7:52
eight people to go innovate in those pods, they just as those teams innovate, they just jam it all in the software.
7:58
Right? So if you go to chat GPT right now, there's three different modes. There's you screwed the pooch. There's there's uh there's
8:12
um chat, there's work, and there's codeex. Three different modes. And then there's three different places that you
8:21
can use those three different modes. Web application like desktop app and mobile app. And they all work slightly
8:32
differently on all the different platforms in all the different modes, but not differently enough that they're
8:38
actually different products. Oh no, they're all kind of the same. So it's an absolute shitow. And I think it'll
8:45
probably get worse. Like I think the next year we're just going to have these overly bloated just [ __ ] horrible
8:53
interfaces and then something magical is going to happen. It ain't going to be about us interacting with software anymore. It's
9:03
going to be about us interacting probably through voice with an agent that just knows how to use all the [ __ ] and then it'll go do all
9:13
that. So that's where we're going. So, we'll talk about that tonight. Um,
9:45
Standing between you and a hard place is insane. Standing too near you in a file. Makes it clear.
10:03
Your trouble to me. Real trouble. Can't you see? Leading in close. Smell of your perfume scares me most.
10:22
leaning away. Hey, you feel stronger every day. Your trouble to me.
10:37
Rich trouble. Can't you see? Karate Mama Lee, I don't think it's going to be about voice. The Gen Z and youngsters don't like to talk. Well,
10:50
they can type. Um I so what's what's fascinating there ms karate karate um is that there are there are interfaces being
11:06
worked on right now um one is one is a mouthpiece where you talk your words with your tongue and it's basically like a trackpad inside
11:17
the roof of your mouth [laughter] and you're like talking and it's it's typing you know, typing for you. There's also a
11:24
thing being worked on right now where with non-invasive like a, you know, think a baseball hat with electrodes
11:30
around the inside of it. Um, where you can think your thoughts and it will type your words, what you're thinking, which
11:39
I would not want that. [laughter] Generation mute, it's called. Oh, that's really wild. Well, yeah, they're not
11:45
talking on the phone, so so that I agree with. Um, but but we'll see. I like I I think there's going to be all sorts of
11:53
interfaces. I think there's still going to be humanto computer interfaces where people will click on [ __ ] and do what we
11:59
we currently do. Um, anyway, uh, welcome everybody. This is the AI learning lab pre-show. So, we go live inside the AI
12:07
salon here in eight minutes. Uh, the the link to the live if you're on LinkedIn or YouTube is in the description of this
12:14
video. So, just go down there and click on that link. If you're on Tik Tok or X, it's in my profile. Go there and there
12:21
you go. I want a best of song of Kyle's songs compilation. Well, there's if you if you go to um actually, it's probably
12:30
pretty interesting. We can now statistically determine how many songs I know and then which ones I play too much, which is
12:40
because because I know so few, it's all of them. Uh, but if you go to aisalonwiki.com, that's all of the transcripts of all of
12:48
the videos I've ever done and in there you can so you can search for, you know, songs and it will find them and you can
12:56
go watch them. [laughter] I love your playing. Seriously. Oh, thank you very much. I um I consider myself a
13:05
a not great player, but I appreciate it. You know, music's like it there there are certain things in life. I think life is like this.
13:23
There there are certain things in life like playing an instrument, fly fishing, golf. I've heard I don't play golf, but
13:30
I I it feels very much in the neighborhood where you're just it's a lifelong pursuit. like every level that
13:37
you get to, you're like, "Oh, okay. Yeah, but there's someone else at this level and there's someone else at that
13:42
level." There's there's always that [music]
14:00
[music] Wow.
14:19
[music] Uh-huh. [music]
14:33
That was good singing. Champy. Champy brought it together. All right, everybody. Welcome to the AI Learning
14:39
Lab pre-show. We're going live inside the AI Salon in five minutes. So, 7:30 Mountain time. If you want to know,
14:45
you're like, "AI salon, how do I get there?" Uh, just go to the description down here below this. If you're on uh
14:50
LinkedIn or YouTube, right down in the description is a link over to the salon. It's free, by the way. uh if you haven't
14:57
been there before and if you're on Tik Tocker X uh it's up in my profile. So click on my profile, click on that link,
15:04
it'll pop up in a tab. You don't have to type in a URL. You can, you know, if you're one of those people
15:11
that's like I don't uh hyperlinks uh are insecure and I don't like the hyperlinks. So I would prefer to manually input the URL. That's the
15:22
universal resource locator. Uh that's a a series of letters and symbols often preceded by https colon slash. Uh I
15:33
would prefer to type them. If you would prefer to type the URL or or what's called the hyperlink uh the website address uh then you would
15:43
go to community dot that's the period dot the salon.ai. I know it it should be the salon the aisalon.com wasn't available. [laughter]
16:00
[sighs] Have you heard about hack the cartels? I have. I have not. [laughter] I feel like hack the cartels is probably a website I
16:10
don't want to go to. [laughter] Anyway, good people. Um I appreciate y'all being here. We're going to be
16:19
going live inside the AI salon in four minutes or so. Uh links in the description, links in my bio. Um it's a
16:26
demo night, so we're going to be uh talking about a thing that Brandon, producer Brandon made that's super cool
16:31
for the community. Um we're going to be playing a game by Lord Digital Gods uh that celebrates one champ Shannon. Uh
16:40
the little the little farting cheese eaten dog that likes to sing.
16:56
Sitting in this lonely town, wonder what things are going to change. [music] Dream my life away. Seems these dreams have turned to a
17:09
bunch dust clouds. Getting my nerve up, but my past is pulling me down. Wondering how long this black sheep going to stick around.
17:30
Maybe you can revisit the first year people you had on. That's kind of fun. Bring them back, see where they are,
17:37
where they are with AI now. That's a good idea. We'll probably do that. We can do that in AI salon. Yeah, there's a
17:42
lot of people that that were here in year one and just got burned out, fried. Uh, I'm still going, baby. Here's the
17:49
deal. Here's why I'm still going. I think that AI is the most profound technology in the history of humanity.
17:57
And I think we're damn lucky to be on this planet when it's happening. And so, I want a front row seat. And the only
18:03
way to have a front row seat is just hang in there. Keep grinding it out. Figure it out. If you don't like it,
18:09
it'll keep coming. It'll You're fine. Anyway, um I mean those guests you interviewed. Yeah, we could do that.
18:24
All right, good people. Here's the deal. I am heading over now to the salon. I'm going to get ready. I got to get uh in
18:31
makeup. I got to get the wig adjusted and I got to get the teeth whitened in 60 seconds. So, so peace out. In the
18:41
description of the video, in my profile is the link over to the AI salon. I will see you there in a minute.
