blandon's 10:51 [Laughter] 10:58 bag 11:02 M what's the salon website so the salon 11:05 website it's AIS salon. mn. or you can 11:09 go 11:10 to the salon. and that'll take you to a 11:14 link tree and the very first link is the 11:16 link to the to the mighty networks where 11:19 you can go play and show and tell and 11:22 make fun of 11:25 me and well earned wanted Kyle Shannon 11:30 where are 11:36 you 11:38 yeah this is this is what we call a uh a 11:42 folklore 11:44 generation Cheers Cheers everybody happy 11:47 Saturday 11:52 night all 11:55 right that that was a well-earned 11:57 bourbon I didn't you know it's funny it 11:59 was like I was like should I have a 12:01 drink tonight I'm like N I got nothing 12:02 to really celebrate and then I gave out 12:04 my credit card 12:06 information [ __ ] 12:08 [ __ ] I'm normally not that 12:11 stupid I mean sure I'm a dumb dumb and I 12:14 have no qualifications but that 12:18 one do I have scissors here where are my 12:23 scissors where are the scissors scissors 12:27 I need 12:28 scissors I got no scissors 12:33 well this is more fun than a date for 12:36 you 12:37 maybe look what I'm having to 12:40 [Laughter] 12:46 do take that you bastards you thie 12:51 bastards you know there was a time when 12:53 you could put your credit card 12:55 information on the internet and no one 12:56 would steal 12:58 it 13:00 those times have 13:03 passed Kyle did you create an excuse for 13:06 blantons I think I may have I think this 13:09 was uh it's tasting really 13:13 [Music] 13:15 good let I say you are you are too cool 13:18 yeah I'm 13:22 cool should we expect Kyle's Financial 13:25 Guild no it'll be Kyle's cyber security 13:28 Guild 13:36 Jesus good lord it's just I I make 13:41 myself ache but we do have this image 13:45 Tik Tock live with all the Blandon 13:48 bottles just Gaslight everybody and Say 13:51 Never and say just say it never happened 13:54 yeah exactly I I don't know why the 13:56 recording of tonight's episode never 13:58 made it up to you YouTube what are you 14:00 people talking about it must have been 14:03 [Laughter] 14:07 corrupted oh man cover your keyboard 14:10 please I know I know I know calm down 14:12 calm down I've got the blandon's 14:16 bag and I'm putting it on backwards 14:19 because people don't like it when it's 14:20 not backwards there's a whole situation 14:23 here I also didn't get to the stationary 14:24 store 14:26 today woke up this morning it was- 7 14:29 degrees here in Denver right now it's 14:31 like 14:32 2 it's I forget what it is likeus 4 or 14:37 eight in Kansas City with 30 below 14:42 windchill this is my first time 14:45 joining this is my first time joining 14:48 this Tik Tok trying to figure it out 14:51 cheers oh my God okay so L Lori dren 14:57 Ryan sorry about this Norm 15:00 it 15:01 seems um more like this Tik Tok has a 15:04 purpose the only purpose tonight was 15:08 trying to keep my uh bank account from 15:11 being drained um but what we do here you 15:16 can lose money with cat GPT what we do 15:19 here is we talk about AI stuff so if you 15:21 have questions about AI thoughts about 15:23 AI uh want to learn about anything let 15:26 me know I'll do my best to answer them 15:27 below and uh 15:31 why you would trust me no one seems to 15:34 know no one seems to understand that 15:36 particular Nuance of this 15:42 channel oh 15:46 man all right woke up this morning dead 15:50 shrimp under my 15:52 bed 15:55 Andre is that a 15:58 metaphor or or are the shrimp now 16:00 walking out of the 16:06 ocean it's just getting weird wind chill 16:09 of minus 16:11 24 my image made the big times it did 16:14 Kevin Kevin now the the Blandon bottles 16:17 don't have the faceted edge edges so you 16:19 know there's some room for improvement 16:21 here but it is pretty 16:23 swell oh man okay artificial is the only 16:28 intellig we 16:32 have all right so what are we going to 16:34 talk about folks what do you want to 16:35 talk about you want to talk about chat 16:37 jpt you want to talk about the store you 16:39 want to talk about anything other than 16:41 my credit 16:43 card question is there a way to search 16:46 through all my chat GPT conversations 16:49 Believe It or Not There is 16:52 um but unfortunately not on the web so 16:55 let me let me show you what to do here 16:59 um if you go to chat gptt on the 17:12 web log in let me just enter my credit 17:14 card information 17:21 here all right so here we are at chat 17:24 JPay um 17:27 what 17:29 steo it's 17:30 111 Fahrenheit here today oh my God uh 17:34 steo is in Australia uh if you go to 17:37 chat gbt down here this is your prompt 17:41 history and um believe it or not it is 17:45 not 17:47 searchable so so you know I've been on 17:50 this thing for a [ __ ] year for a year 17:53 it's not searchable but here's the 17:57 secret 18:01 I'm going over to my 18:05 iPad and the official chat GPT 18:13 app look in the upper corner it has 18:16 search your chat 18:18 history so if you get the official chat 18:21 GPT app you can search your chat 18:27 history why can you not do that on the 18:32 web what's going on why can they not add 18:37 a feature that they've already written 18:40 the code for to the web 18:44 app it's astounding it's astounding so 18:48 anyway yes you can search for it you 18:51 just can't search for it pton m p PT 18:54 that's dumb I 18:57 agree I had my first Etsy Shop sale 19:00 today using AI created and edited 19:02 mockups awesome a human being that's 19:04 great fantastic 19:08 congrats you know it just goes to show 19:10 like it it doesn't really matter if art 19:13 is AI generated in my opinion it's it's 19:16 like if you create an image that people 19:19 like enough to buy and want to put on a 19:21 mug or a t-shirt [ __ ] far out why 19:25 not open AI is compartmentalized yeah 19:28 they're an 800 person company and they 19:30 they've got silos already it's just it 19:32 it happens it's a it's a natural thing 19:34 but the the search thing in particular I 19:36 like it I just I can't I cannot 19:39 understand it like how do they not have 19:41 they they launched what they're calling 19:43 a store it's not a store by the way it's 19:45 not even a [ __ ] directory at this 19:46 point um the the uh the GPT store is is 19:51 is a grave disappointment for me I've 19:53 decided two days in it's just like it's 19:56 just so 19:57 bad 20:02 um no one has written the GPT for search 20:05 yet that would be pretty 20:07 [Laughter] 20:10 funny call it schmole or something like 20:15 that oh man that's pretty 20:17 funny you could absolutely do that 20:20 search for anything you 20:27 want actually could you do that wait let 20:30 me see 20:35 um do a Google search for HED hedgehogs 20:40 and 20:41 return the search results 20:45 here searching with 20:57 Bing 20:59 yeah it just it just 21:01 returned five 21:04 links but it did it without injecting 21:06 any advertising so maybe that's a thing 21:09 you could 21:12 do superpow GPT lets you 21:15 organize and search chats oh that's 21:20 cool oh that's super 21:23 cool super powered 21:26 GPT so this if you have haven't seen it 21:29 as the GPT store so if you'll put in 21:37 superpow superp power 21:41 expert 21:53 oops Yeah I can't find 21:57 it 22:09 hello why is my dictation on always 22:13 right now the hell's going on what the 22:17 hell is going on here 22:27 people hello hello is it off now okay 22:30 now it's 22:32 off all right oh not in chat GPT oh it's 22:36 a standalone app oh I see yeah yeah 22:39 yeah yeah I'm sure there I'm sure 22:41 there's some external chat GPT like 22:44 thing that that has all sorts of 22:46 features hacked too posting in the mods 22:50 all right let me hop over to mods hold 22:53 please hold 22:57 please 22:59 chat gbt info Seeker a straightforward 23:02 Search 23:05 Assistant yeah exactly exactly Brandon I 23:09 know now that I now that I canceled the 23:11 card that I just switched Mighty 23:13 networks to it's going to yell at me 23:14 again next month is chat jpt 4 worth it 23:18 yes absolutely best 20 bucks you could 23:20 spend a month best 20 bucks a month you 23:23 could spend um do not go annual I would 23:27 avoid doing GP team right now um because 23:30 it doesn't here's something I learned 23:32 about team so if you go to chat GPT 23:36 upgrade and you go to Team see where it 23:38 says this word upgrade to 23:41 team that is a 23:43 lie it's not an upgrade it's a separate 23:47 subscription and when you upgrade to 23:49 team it does not migrate your gpts and 23:52 your search history over so U and 23:56 apparently they're going to fix that in 23:58 the the uh coming weeks it's like then 24:02 don't [ __ ] launch the thing 24:06 yeah weirdos uh where is the store okay 24:09 so if you go to chat 24:11 GPT you'll land here um so in press 24:15 releases they call it the chat GPT store 24:19 in the 24:20 interface they call it explore gpts so 24:23 if you click on explore gpts over there 24:26 it takes you to this thing that also 24:27 does not say the GPT store because it's 24:30 not a store CU you can't buy anything 24:34 and you can't really find anything and 24:36 you can't find like all of the gpts that 24:38 some specific person made and they only 24:42 have they have seven sections and 24:44 they're featuring up to 12 gpts per 24:47 section so if you compare this for 24:49 example to PO poe.com they also have a 24:54 GPT store or what they call a bot store 25:07 what's going on why is it not letting me 25:10 in did I not oh it is okay so if I go to 25:14 explore here see it's got all these 25:17 different categories at the 25:19 top so I can go to cooking for example 25:22 so here's all the cooking 25:24 ones something went wrong loading more 25:27 so it's just this big long ass scrolling 25:30 list of all the cooking bots so like at 25:34 a 25:35 minimum this is what the GPT store 25:37 should be but they've only got 12 per 25:39 section if I go to the GPT store when 25:42 you go to these different sections 25:44 they're not even going to a separate web 25:46 page it's this is all one long web page 25:50 with just anchor anchor hyperlinks to 25:53 the different sections this is this 25:56 is I I I say pretty much nightly that 26:00 everything in a AI right now are janky 26:02 pieces of [ __ ] this doesn't even Elevate 26:06 to that standard it's so 26:09 bad I can go look at my gpts 26:13 but it doesn't change the url to to say 26:17 my name so so I can't give this URL 26:22 out I would be wary of unofficial ex 26:25 extensions for chat GPT you're probably 26:29 granting read 26:31 permissions yeah I all the third party 26:33 stuff I like I have basically just 26:36 ignored Chrome extensions and 26:40 uh third party apps that did you try 26:43 again sorry Siri can we not now thank 26:46 you she got my credit card information 26:49 too 26:55 [ __ ] like I keep saying Craig the 26:57 Craigs list of 27:01 AI at least the Craigslist you can find 27:04 stuff yeah this is this is not great 27:07 right now the GPT store we're going to 27:09 go on ahead and give them a pass because 27:11 they are primarily a research 27:13 organization Danielle thank you very 27:14 much that's very sweet appreciate that I 27:18 appreciate the 27:21 Roses um 27:25 yeah uh uh try showing GPT combo.com 27:32 um I'll look at it I don't know if 27:36 I I I'm very leery of anything that's is 27:40 it just a thing that lets you do lots of 27:41 different um 27:56 models Joker my GP PT broke a a thousand 27:59 chats today congrats man that's a big 28:01 deal oh GPT combo this is that that that 28:05 uh Filipino or 28:08 Indonesian uh directory yeah these are 28:11 fine but you know ultimately when when 28:13 chat GPT gets their [ __ ] together those 28:16 things are not going to be all that 28:18 useful although the fact that they 28:21 released such a weak ass store means 28:25 that it extends the life of those things 28:27 I thought that those things would be 28:28 flushed down the toilet when this thing 28:29 launched and they actually still provide 28:35 value so that's 28:37 something that's something I also wanted 28:39 to show um I was talking last 28:45 night 28:50 about yeah there's another thing that 28:52 they're doing here that's really weird 28:56 um so I just put in pottery and I know 28:59 that um Corey Sandler's got a GPT that 29:03 starts with the word pottery and it's 29:05 not showing up here it's very weird let 29:09 me see if I do Corey 29:15 Sandler see Pottery Whisperer this was 29:18 the one I wanted to show last 29:26 night create un glazes choose a color a 29:29 surface a cone unique characteristics 29:33 ask me anything clay related so what 29:35 we're looking at here if you don't know 29:36 what we're looking at is we're looking 29:38 at a GPT so you've got chat GPT and then 29:41 within it if you've got a chat GPT Plus 29:45 subscription you can um create these 29:48 things called gpts which are just very 29:50 customized specific think of them like 29:52 iPhone apps but that use gp4 29:56 technology 29:58 and so this is this is one of them and 30:00 uh this is a really cool one I was 30:02 talking about this last night where if 30:04 you're a Potter um this will help you 30:07 come up with recipes create a random 30:09 glaze for a for cone 6 Pottery I have no 30:13 [ __ ] idea what cone 6 Pottery is but 30:16 if you click that little 30:18 button it 30:21 will make you a unique 30:23 glaze 40% Feld spar potach 30:28 15% Whiting 10% EPK Callin 25% silica 5% 30:35 zinc 30:36 oxide 2% Bentonite and 3% calvan copper 30:42 carbonate surface texture crackle color 30:45 emerald green but so now check this out 30:48 now I can say um can I see what this 30:56 would look like 31:03 do you know the best place to clean up 31:04 image 31:06 Generations that give you the blue 31:08 Scruff in certain 31:11 areas I don't know what the blue Scruff 31:13 is what are you talking 31:15 about is that a is that is that a 31:18 photoshopping term yeah I got to get in 31:21 there and take care of the blue Scruff 31:22 oh look at that that's [ __ ] 31:26 gorgeous so I don't know I mean Corey 31:30 Sandler knows her [ __ ] about Pottery so 31:32 I don't I don't know how good this is 31:34 predicting how 31:36 how um how that would look but I assume 31:40 this is accurate that's [ __ ] gorgeous 31:42 so the fact you can sort of invent a 31:45 glaze recipe for you and then show you 31:47 what it's going to look like how cool is 31:51 that that's pretty 31:56 bitching huh 31:59 fired to Cone six you know what I'm 32:01 going to ask 32:04 it can you tell me what cone 6 32:15 means ra rather than try to guess I just 32:18 realized I'm sitting in the world's most 32:20 knowledgeable 32:24 assistant cone 6 refers to a specific 32:27 temperature range when firing in a kiln 32:30 the term cone originates from the use of 32:34 pyrometric cones which are small 32:37 triangular pyramids made of a specific 32:39 ceramic material formulated to melt at 32:42 certain temperatures wow I didn't know 32:44 that these cones serve as visual 32:47 indicators of heat work inside the Kil 32:49 oh I suppose before they had accurate oh 32:52 it's it's take it's dictating again what 32:56 is going on here 32:58 stop 33:00 that 33:01 jeez cone 6 is 2200 de 33:07 fah this is considered 33:12 mid-range that's like knots you know 33:14 knots in in seaf 33:17 fairing Maritime things cuz it was the 33:20 they they would tie knots however far 33:23 apart 3 ft 33:25 apart and then the throw a board hooked 33:29 to the rope and then they would count 33:31 the number of knots that went by in a 33:32 certain amount of time that's the the 33:34 speed of the ship this is like cones 33:37 very very 33:40 cool the cone is when it falls falls or 33:45 melts very 33:46 cool 33:51 wow wow Pottery 33:55 goals the cones help the determine what 33:58 temp is in the Kil sort of like a 34:00 thermometer super 34:06 cool uh uh 34:08 uh here's the learning part of the night 34:12 to me what's great about the store 34:15 learning stuff you wouldn't even think 34:16 about well so so Lori I agree with you 34:19 this is this is one of the genius things 34:21 I think about the the gpts in general 34:25 is because so easy to make people are 34:29 going to make gpts with 34:32 really um very very specialized pieces 34:35 of knowledge right that that 34:38 historically wouldn't justify making an 34:41 app right like it's it's just too sort 34:43 of weird and nichy and small um and 34:46 people are now just going to go oh well 34:48 I'm I kind of like you know what the 34:51 whatever any sort of thing so I'm going 34:53 to make a GPT that other people can do 34:55 that and I totally agree it's like 34:57 they're they're kind of instantly 34:59 inspiring and it's what I'm realizing is 35:03 that I'll sometimes people um say about 35:07 gpts as a criticism well you could just 35:09 write that 35:11 prompt okay sure but I never would 35:15 because I don't care that deeply about 35:17 that thing so someone does and then I 35:21 get to go there and just click on [ __ ] 35:23 just click click click and then I get 35:25 the the experience of that we were we 35:28 were on a call today on uh an an 35:31 Murphy's weekend GPT jams and Nate Nate 35:36 St Pierre was was talking about this GPT 35:39 he made that's a World building thing 35:42 and he was like oh yeah it doesn't have 35:44 any value I did it I did it really 35:45 quickly and it's it doesn't have any 35:47 value I'm like dude it's totally got 35:49 value because it's got like all of your 35:52 expertise about storytelling and World 35:54 building and and creating things like 35:55 that that we just get to play with and 35:58 it's it's it's really quite amazing I 36:00 totally agree I think that's what that's 36:02 what these things are all 36:17 about what was that my husband is a 36:20 ceramist Potter I'll ask him to test oh 36:23 that would be very cool wait hang on so 36:26 here's the did you did you capture the 36:30 recipe 36:33 Cindy Emerald SE 36:40 crackle my son is sleeping in my lap 36:42 while I complain 36:44 about AI on the 36:46 internet life doesn't get better that's 36:49 awesome that's awesome well not only 36:51 were you complaining about life on the 36:53 internet and complaining about the 36:54 internet you also saved me from from 36:57 from being wrecked financially or at 36:59 least you know one of my little my 37:01 little 37:03 accounts so so you're doing you're doing 37:06 some solid work tonight Pate um can I 37:09 translate my GPT in Chinese yeah 37:13 absolutely so one of the cool 37:22 things let's see explore 37:26 gpts 37:27 let me 37:32 search something weird is up 37:36 with oh I know what's going on 37:39 okay 37:43 um so I'm 37:47 in Corey Sandler's Pottery GPT the 37:50 pottery what's it called Pottery 37:52 Whisperer Pro glaze and ceramic expert 37:56 Okay so 37:57 so here's um here's the GPT I'm in the 38:02 the chat GPT app I can now put this in 38:04 conversation 38:10 mode I want you to give me a glaze 38:14 recipe that uses blues and blacks but I 38:20 want you to tell me the recipe in 38:26 Chinese sorry I'm having issues right 38:28 now please try again later try 38:52 again here's the image of the peaceful 38:54 garden scene at Sunrise it C captures 38:57 the vibrant flowers quaint wooden bench 38:59 Cobblestone path small pond with ducks 39:03 lush green trees and the beautifully 39:05 colored Dawn sky that was not at all 39:06 what I asked for let me know what you 39:07 think or if there's anything else you'd 39:09 like you can check out the images in our 39:11 conversation 39:14 history that wasn't at all what I asked 39:16 for I want a ceramic glaze recipe that 39:19 you invent for me that's blue and I want 39:22 you to tell it to me in 39:25 Chinese 39:28 come on Chad gbt all right I'll create a 39:30 fictional ceramic glaze recipe for you 39:33 in 39:34 Chinese here it 39:42 is so and 39:45 then there it is in Chinese right 39:48 there's the recipe for all the things 39:50 and there's whatever she was saying so 39:53 yeah you can do that and and someone 39:55 just put the comment janky exactly 39:58 welcome to the janky time this we're now 40:01 in the janky time these are the janky 40:07 [Music] 40:10 times hang on I'll be right there hold 40:17 please looks like Kansas City's going to 40:19 win this game by the 40:25 way all right 40:27 I love convo mode for writing blogs the 40:30 conversation helps me get my thoughts 40:31 together yeah conversation Mode's really 40:34 really interesting I don't use it 40:36 enough and then I heard I heard today 40:39 this was also in in Ann Murphy's uh 40:41 weekend GPT thing um which by the way if 40:44 you want to join that group the 40:47 information about it there's a there's a 40:48 an area in Mighty networks a private 40:51 club for that for Ann's GPT Building 40:54 Group on on Saturdays uh so another 40:57 reason to join the salon and if you're 40:59 like what what's the salon you're 41:01 talking about do is that where you get 41:02 your hair 41:04 done if that's where you get your hair 41:06 done I'm not going to that 41:08 Salon um it's the other kind of Salon 41:11 um go there the first link goes to the 41:15 AI salon and go read about what we do in 41:19 about the salon and then if if it sounds 41:21 like you're kind of people join us and 41:23 then you can do her thing um 41:27 but one of the people in the in the in 41:31 the meeting today was talking about I 41:33 forget who who was talking about it 41:36 maybe some Tik Tok influencer or someone 41:38 they knew um doesn't use their keyboard 41:41 anymore they're doing all of their work 41:43 with voice to text and with large 41:46 language models Pi has been crazy in 41:48 translations as well lately when I tell 41:51 it to speak in Hindi yeah it's amazing I 41:53 like like I it 41:58 we have gone we we we now have general 42:02 purpose tools that can speak any 42:04 language right I know you can buy 42:06 specialized translators and things like 42:08 that but they're like proprietary and 42:10 weird and they probably only do certain 42:12 languages and we're just now at a place 42:14 where we have these tools that just will 42:16 speak in whatever language and be a 42:18 translator for 42:19 us um I'm trying to watch 42:23 ESPN okay uh I've been having issu isues 42:26 with it today it's been wacky yeah it's 42:28 it's yeah it's really weird today janky 42:31 is as janky does chat GPT is off oh 42:36 interesting well maybe they're trying 42:38 maybe they heard me bitching about the 42:41 the how bad the GPT store is and they're 42:44 trying to fix it and it's [ __ ] up 42:46 chat 42:49 GPT usually can't do Saturdays are there 42:52 any other jams on any other days um 42:55 there may be 42:57 there's this Jam every single night I do 43:00 this every night seven nights a week um 43:02 it's it's not a focused Jam like that 43:04 though um there probably are go go in 43:09 within the guilds so there's an Art 43:11 Guild there's a writing Guild there's a 43:14 business Guild they all have meetings so 43:17 go check out the guilds and check out 43:18 the event calendars for the different 43:21 guilds um meet up this to oh and then 43:24 there's yeah we've got the AI Salon meet 43:27 this Tuesday so we meet sort of globally 43:30 every other Tuesday so this coming 43:33 Tuesday um we're speaking there we've 43:35 got a professional photographer a friend 43:37 of Leah fastens who Co who co-founded 43:39 the salon with me um a friend of hers is 43:43 speaking about being a professional 43:44 photographer the GPT store is down for 43:47 me interesting yeah that that thing just 43:49 re really weird it out here for a second 43:52 didn't 43:53 it let's see if it's down here as well 43:56 not for me but let me reload no it's 43:59 still here something's up they're 44:02 they're doing something um it's they 44:07 they've whenever you launch a bunch of 44:10 new things like say a team feature that 44:14 doesn't migrate all of your work over 44:17 and you call it upgrade there's probably 44:19 a lot of people bitching right now so I 44:21 would imagine that the tech team at open 44:22 AI is working working overtime trying to 44:25 trying to catch up with some of the Jank 44:27 they released into the 44:31 [Music] 44:51 [Music] 44:55 world hey 44:59 salong isn't that 45:02 cute all right how can I make talking 45:05 cartoons what app okay so let me show 45:08 you some the AI 45:15 Salon first thing you're going to want 45:16 to do is go to welcome to the salon and 45:19 learn about the salon I've got PTSD now 45:22 this is the screen where I gave away my 45:23 credit card 45:24 information um 45:27 look at our values look at what the 45:29 salon's all about make sure that you're 45:30 down with what we do all right then go 45:33 to the community section and introduce 45:34 yourself hi my name is be generous 45:37 that's one of our 45:38 values tell us more than just your name 45:41 and you think AI is cool tell us what's 45:44 going on um check out the show and tell 45:47 Channel That's where everyone in here 45:49 are doing things like mocking me 45:51 relentlessly for Grandpa giving away his 45:54 credit card information on the internet 45:58 is that joker that's Corey Sandler 46:03 perfect if ever there if ever there was 46:05 an image that represented this this 46:08 channel there you 46:12 go I'm not dead it's just a flesh 46:19 wound so you should go check out all 46:22 that stuff hey look the blandon's bottle 46:24 looks right and that's pretty much what 46:26 I was just doing and those are about as 46:28 good as my scissors 46:35 are oh God this is so funny 46:40 oh where everybody knows your name and 46:43 your credit card 46:48 number oh man okay so go there and then 46:52 this actually is building to something 46:54 go to AI tools and resources so this is 46:57 someone asking about how do I how do I 46:59 animate an 47:00 image so what this list is this is a 47:03 curated list that I maintain that that 47:06 if you're trying to get started in AI 47:08 this will give you all of the sort of 47:09 major categories to start rabbit holes 47:12 to run down it starts with chat GPT 47:15 because it's still the best and there's 47:16 a lot to explore just within chat GPT 47:19 then I list these four large language 47:23 models and then four other large 47:25 language models like special y ones then 47:28 I've got image 47:29 creation Dolly mid Journey Kaa Deco here 47:33 Leonardo and Firefly now um Deco here 47:37 and Leonardo are both image generation 47:40 tools that also do animation now they 47:43 don't specifically do character 47:45 animation and talking I'm going to show 47:46 those in a second but know that these 47:49 tools are starting to blur so things 47:51 that are explicitly image generation 47:53 tools are starting to do other stuff 47:55 Leonardo is really starting to do lots 47:57 of different things which is pretty 47:59 interesting in video creation there's 48:02 two different major kinds of video 48:04 creation there's the tools like Runway 48:07 ML and P laabs which are like text to 48:09 video like generate a video sequence out 48:12 of nothing or out of an image or or a uh 48:16 another 48:17 video and then there are there's hey Jen 48:20 and D- ID these are the ones I think 48:22 you're asking for there's also one 48:25 called Synthesia I think there's there's 48:27 there's probably four or five of these 48:28 tools out there hey Jen and D- ID right 48:31 now for me are the leaders in the space 48:34 um D- ID is really easy you basically 48:37 just upload a picture write a script or 48:41 you know pop it in from chat GPT pick a 48:43 voice and hit render or you can upload 48:47 uh an audio file that you've recorded it 48:49 it will animated um so those are the 48:52 ones it's really really quite simple to 48:53 use now they're not free 48:56 um all of the stuff in in kind of the 48:59 video space here um and a fair amount of 49:03 things in images are not free because 49:04 it's more expensive to to make videos 49:07 than it is to just make 49:09 text um yeah so that hopefully will help 49:13 all right anyone know an easy way for 49:15 GPT to save as PDF without using zapier 49:19 yeah Cat Daddy decals if you have um 49:23 code interpreter turned on in your GPT 49:25 or if you're in gp4 you can just tell it 49:28 to export as a PDF it will write that 49:31 file it uses python to create a PDF file 49:35 um or it can ex it can export 49:39 a is that game over looks like it 49:48 is no three minutes 49:55 left 49:56 [Laughter] 50:00 Joker 50:06 H let's blame it on Helen 50:08 toner what open AI being chat GPT being 50:12 janky yeah hel Helen still got uh Rude 50:15 access to to the to the gp4 model she's 50:18 like [ __ ] it I'll just route some of 50:20 these prompts I'll put a randomizer in 50:23 where these prompts 50:24 go 50:27 maybe they're fixing the store that's we 50:29 can hope Source Camp 50:32 right Sam's embarassed that you think 50:34 it's [ __ ] so he told him to fix it 50:37 trying to win you back I know forever 50:39 hooked I listen I I I don't I don't want 50:42 Sam to be Petty I don't I I really 50:45 respect him but uh he's got to get his 50:48 [ __ ] together I know he was on his 50:50 honeymoon and you know he he left it up 50:53 to his lieutenants to put the store out 50:57 there and I think what he was probably 50:59 doing he was probably like on his 51:01 honeymoon hanging out on the Tik Tok 51:03 live here and then he heard that I 51:05 wasn't so happy with the store and then 51:07 he probably called back to Palo Alto 51:09 he's like uh hey what's going on with 51:11 the store like uh we didn't really 51:13 launch a good one and he was like uh 51:15 could we maybe do that it looks like 51:17 Kyle's 51:18 pissed so that it's just rumor that 51:22 that's what happened but that's the 51:24 rumor that's the rumor that I've 51:26 heard from many 51:30 people GPT wrote me a song to use for 51:33 Valentine's Day where do I go to have 51:36 music and voice added okay go to um sun. 51:40 a so you're going to have to with sunno 51:43 okay so you can go too. and it will just 51:47 write you a 51:51 song um 51:54 sun. 51:58 make a song for your friend make a 52:01 song now as 52:09 of 52:14 yeah it still looks 52:17 like 52:19 create it still looks like on the 52:21 website you cannot add 52:24 lyrics 52:26 song description custom 52:30 mode oh no you can okay look they they 52:34 they updated the website okay so the way 52:38 sunno works this is 52:40 cool it's like every time I go to demo 52:43 something the interface is completely 52:45 [ __ ] different it's like it's like 52:47 could could could we have the interface 52:50 stay stable for like a week anyone no no 52:55 you good good all right launch 52:59 it so this didn't used to be able to do 53:02 lyrics but now it can so you can just 53:04 describe a song and it will write it or 53:07 you can now do you can add in 53:09 lyrics so go to sunno go to create put 53:12 it in custom mode drop your lyrics in 53:15 there um describe the style of your 53:19 music you can even describe the or you 53:21 can put a title in there and then just 53:24 say create and it will create 53:28 it let me this is this is one of pate's 53:31 favorite images one of the songs I made 53:34 where where are the 53:36 rest Pate loves this 53:41 image isn't this great I love that image 53:44 too Pate it's so 53:46 [Music] 53:51 inspiring where the flowers blue 53:57 there's a girl named 54:00 Sydney she shines through the 54:04 [Music] 54:05 Gloom smile it's like 54:09 sunshine all rainy 54:14 day but beneath the 54:23 surface we got champy we got champy can 54:26 we make can we get a badge as AI Salon 54:31 makers and add it to wait what was the 54:33 rest of that add it to 54:39 [Music] 54:47 what could whoever pinned that just 54:50 repin it repin what was there ah can we 54:54 get a badge for a i Salon maker and add 54:56 it to our 54:58 GPT Irregulars 55:00 only I don't know what you mean Mr it a 55:03 badge for in here in Tik Tok or a 55:07 badge for 55:09 gpts one of the things that I want to I 55:11 want to figure I want to figure 55:13 something out so we did that GPT for 55:15 good 55:16 event and I would love to get anyone who 55:20 participated in that event event to put 55:22 the hash GPT forg good in the 55:24 description of their gpts I'd like to 55:27 come up with some way that we could do 55:28 that for the salon as well that that we 55:31 might be able to search for you know 55:33 Salon members gpts that could be 55:43 cool oh the AI Salon could we get um 55:48 Irregulars badges I think so so Bradley 55:52 did most of the mighty network setup 55:55 there are some things that we can do 55:56 that I I think we haven't played with 55:58 yet I think badges or labels is one of 56:01 them um so yes I'll look into that but 56:05 we haven't done it 56:06 yet does AI help playing football in Sub 56:10 Zero 56:12 temps it look like Kansas City's playing 56:15 pretty good Miami it just looks like he 56:17 can't throw the ball like he's he's 56:19 thrown at three or four feet to the to 56:22 both sides of the receivers it's weird 56:29 you need to update your credit card info 56:31 yeah I 56:35 [Music] 56:38 do Does anyone know why we didn't have a 56:41 Chad GPT 10 years ago um I can tell you 56:44 a little bit about why we didn't have 56:45 one 10 years ago so 2017 so 56:51 okay machine learning in AI has been 56:54 around for decades it's been around for 56:59 decades um you know we had things like 57:01 big blue that beat Gary kaspar off and 57:03 we have these expert 57:07 systems a lot of those systems were were 57:11 sort of vertical specialty systems where 57:14 researchers had to come with their own 57:16 data so they'd come with MRI data or 57:18 x-ray data or mathematical data or 57:21 whatever it was and they would train 57:22 these gpts to do this specialized 57:26 thing in 57:27 2017 Pat's company it's this it's this 57:31 little startup out of uh out of the 57:32 valley what's it called Google they just 57:36 it's it's like a teeny little 200,000 57:38 person startup so Google in 2017 invents 57:42 this thing called the 57:44 Transformer and what the Transformer 57:47 does it's a it's a paper you can go read 57:49 the paper if you want it's called 57:51 attention is all you need and they 57:53 introduced this concept of a transformer 57:55 and what the Transformer it it does a 57:57 lot of things but ostensibly what it 57:59 allows researchers to do is train 58:04 machine learning models on massive data 58:08 sets and so one of the things that Sam 58:11 wman recognized very early on shortly 58:14 after the Transformer came out is that 58:17 is that oh we could train this on 58:19 massive data sets well one of the 58:21 biggest data sets in the world is the 58:23 public internet why don't we go get as 58:27 much of the public internet as as we 58:30 can embedded into this model using these 58:34 Transformer things and see what it can 58:36 do and so I think in 58:41 20 18 they did 58:45 gpt1 in 58:48 20 19 they did gpt2 in 2020 they did 58:53 gpt3 and GP 58:55 3 was the 58:58 first um of these large language models 59:02 to start behaving like holy [ __ ] this 59:05 thing works and so it actually made some 59:08 news like I heard about 59:10 gpt3 that you know researchers had come 59:13 up with this model that is really really 59:17 good 59:20 um that was in 2020 that 59:23 gpt3 launched to the developer 59:27 community in the 59:30 documentation for 59:32 gpt3 where the instructions the example 59:36 app or one of the example apps in the 59:39 documentation for the GPT Foundation 59:42 model was a little thing called chat GPT 59:45 here's how you could make a 59:47 chatbot using the GPT Foundation model 59:51 nobody built it for two years two years 59:57 nobody built 59:58 it so then open AI Cuts this deal with 1:00:02 Microsoft and Microsoft is getting it 1:00:04 ready to to announce their first billion 1:00:07 doll investment into open 1:00:10 Ai and Sam Alman says well we don't 1:00:13 really have anything non-technical to 1:00:15 show the world hey uh engineer team why 1:00:20 don't you go whip up that chat GPT thing 1:00:23 since no one's built it 1:00:26 and that was in October of 1:00:28 2022 like late late October two weeks 1:00:32 later they had created chat 1:00:36 gbt and on November 29th the team went 1:00:41 out for drinks the night before and 1:00:42 they're like okay I guess we'll launch 1:00:44 this thing 1:00:45 tomorrow and so they launch it and they 1:00:48 they thought that it would get maybe a 1:00:49 blog post and 5,000 comments that was 1:00:52 that was their it was there was a New 1:00:54 York Times article that talked about 1:00:56 this 1:00:56 meeting they thought it was going to be 1:00:58 a a you know one blog post and 5,000 1:01:01 comments or something like that and 5 1:01:04 days later they had a million users and 1:01:06 6 weeks later they had 100 million users 1:01:10 so it wasn't the ability to make 1:01:14 something like chat chpt wasn't even 1:01:17 really possible until 1:01:20 2020 um now could Google have made chat 1:01:25 GPT way before open AI could or did 1:01:32 yeah but I think one of the things that 1:01:34 Google recognized is that they have they 1:01:38 have a business model not based on 1:01:41 answering people's questions they have a 1:01:43 business model based on presenting 1:01:46 people with hundreds of possible ways to 1:01:49 answer their question that they all have 1:01:51 to click on and every time they click 1:01:54 Google gets 1:01:55 paid and I think Google probably 1:01:58 recognized hey if we make this just 1:02:01 answer [ __ ] engine that kind of [ __ ] up 1:02:04 our business 1:02:07 model and then chat GPT came out even 1:02:11 open AI didn't think it was a big deal 1:02:14 and then it became a big deal so we are 1:02:17 a year and a month 1:02:20 into the world kind of stumbling onto a 1:02:26 simple interface to this really powerful 1:02:30 technology that that captured the 1:02:32 imagination of everyone basically do you 1:02:34 think there'll be a time when people 1:02:36 will get AI 1:02:38 Solutions Solutions architect 1:02:40 certification absolutely absolutely and 1:02:44 that's if you want to uh IO evth EV ever 1:02:50 ever IO ever IO 1:02:53 ever I I don't know how to say your 1:02:57 name 1:02:59 um the uh the AI exchange Rachel Woods T 1:03:02 Tik Tok Channel and her AI exchange 1:03:04 Community she focuses a lot on AI 1:03:07 operations um I would hang out in that 1:03:10 group because that's that's a lot of 1:03:12 what they talk about but yeah but but 1:03:15 not for a while the these tools so so 1:03:18 just to be 1:03:20 clear I'm I'm looking at this channel 1:03:23 represents um talking about AI after the 1:03:27 inflection point of November 30th 2022 1:03:30 when chat GPT launch launches for me 1:03:34 that's the inflection point where the 1:03:37 rest of the world gets access to these 1:03:39 powerful tools prior to that you had to 1:03:41 be a mathematician or an engineer or a 1:03:44 you know 1:03:45 researcher chat GPT represents the rest 1:03:48 of us get to play with this 1:03:51 [ __ ] we're going to spend the next two 1:03:53 or three or 5 years with just 1:03:57 advancement after advancement after 1:03:59 advancement after advancement so it's 1:04:01 going to be just we're we're in we're 1:04:03 very much in primordial soup of AI right 1:04:06 now we're we're just nobody knows what's 1:04:09 going on nobody knows how to do anything 1:04:11 nobody knows what infrastructure should 1:04:13 be there everyone's kind of 1:04:15 experimenting with it the open source 1:04:17 Community is doing all their 1:04:19 stuff but yeah I would get as educated 1:04:23 as possible on all of that stuff Kyle it 1:04:26 works add AI Salon to the GPT 1:04:28 description searchable in the GPT store 1:04:30 awesome okay we need to okay so so 1:04:33 Suzanne or mods or anyone let's put 1:04:37 together a concerted effort maybe we can 1:04:39 put together a like a howto thing that 1:04:43 includes if you were part of the GPT for 1:04:45 good project you know here's the here's 1:04:47 the URL to put in there um if you hang 1:04:50 out on Kyle's Tik Tok here's you know 1:04:52 the regulars one and then and then AI 1:04:55 Salon should be another one maybe we 1:04:57 should put together a little document 1:04:58 and then once we have that I can promote 1:05:01 we can promote it in different areas 1:05:03 within the salon but I can do a salon 1:05:06 announcement that says hey we want to be 1:05:09 able to find your gpts in the GPT store 1:05:12 that's awesome Suzanne thank you for 1:05:13 doing that that's super super 1:05:16 cool all right go Chiefs yeah Chiefs won 1:05:20 Chiefs win Chiefs 1:05:22 win they only cut the Taylor Swift three 1:05:24 times that I saw maybe four five 1:05:28 [Laughter] 1:05:35 six all right how can I know AI will be 1:05:39 integrated how can I know AI will be 1:05:42 integrated in My Chosen career of cyber 1:05:45 security go jailbreak a 1:05:50 GPT um AI is going to be incorporated 1:05:52 into everything um autonomous agents are 1:05:57 going to absolutely decimate cyber 1:05:59 security 1:06:00 protocols so I think cyber 1:06:04 security good luck keeping up with this 1:06:06 [ __ ] so uh it just the nature of what AI 1:06:10 is means it will absolutely be in cyber 1:06:12 security phone is at 2% I'm trapped by a 1:06:16 sleeping baby see you all on the other 1:06:18 side hey Pate thank you very much for 1:06:20 saving my butt tonight I appreciate 1:06:23 it 1:06:25 um yeah just get AI literate if you're 1:06:28 in cyber security get AI literate get AI 1:06:31 literate go watch David Shapiro um watch 1:06:36 some of the videos David Shapiro did 1:06:38 after Sam Alman got fired the the he did 1:06:41 he did two or three videos talking about 1:06:44 qar the the the Breakthrough in open AI 1:06:48 that they think they might have gotten 1:06:49 to AGI 1:06:51 with I think it was the second video he 1:06:53 did after Alman got fired talking about 1:06:57 qar where he does some speculative stuff 1:06:59 about if this is 1:07:01 true um basically um um cryptography is 1:07:06 dead because we can basically crack all 1:07:09 of cryptography I don't think that 1:07:11 happened I think he's since debunked 1:07:13 that but like that's where this is 1:07:17 headed right as as we get to AGI and 1:07:20 these things can reason um things like 1:07:23 cryptographic standards are going to 1:07:24 have to change completely so cyber 1:07:27 security is about to be decimated like 1:07:30 all the [ __ ] that you've learned in 1:07:32 cyber security is just going to get 1:07:34 completely upended in the next three 1:07:36 years so so get AI literate as soon as 1:07:38 you can uh Dr bod what's an agent okay 1:07:42 so so an agent you'll also hear them 1:07:44 sometimes called autonomous agents um or 1:07:47 assistants you'll hear 1:07:50 assistants what they are is when 1:07:55 when something like chat 1:07:59 GPT can take actions on its 1:08:03 own 1:08:05 and so so right now you go to chat GPT 1:08:08 you type in a prompt and it gives you an 1:08:11 answer what an agent could do you could 1:08:14 say dear 1:08:15 agent um I'd like to book a trip to 1:08:18 Mexico and your agent will go okay 1:08:22 um I we will have already given it 1:08:25 access to Expedia and you know our 1:08:32 our um you know our date our our 1:08:35 itinerary planner and and our calendars 1:08:38 and things like that so so you'll have 1:08:40 given access to this agent to certain of 1:08:43 your 1:08:44 systems and then you just give it a goal 1:08:47 and it will go off and just start taking 1:08:48 actions it will prompt itself to go find 1:08:52 the cheapest flights and find this the 1:08:54 flights that have your preferences and 1:08:57 it knows when you like to fly and and it 1:08:59 it remembers all this stuff and it it 1:09:01 will just go off and and some of the 1:09:03 agents will even be able to generate 1:09:05 other agents so you might have a master 1:09:07 agent that you give a goal to and it 1:09:09 says okay we need someone to go get us 1:09:12 plane tickets we need another agent to 1:09:13 go get us hotels we need another agent 1:09:16 to book day trips we need another agent 1:09:19 to book dinners and all these agents 1:09:21 will go off and do their thing 1:09:23 autonomous 1:09:25 L as if you had a travel 1:09:28 agent and then they will come back 1:09:30 having completed their task they will 1:09:31 basically go out there and do that [ __ ] 1:09:34 until they complete their task they'll 1:09:35 come back to that Master agent and say 1:09:37 Here's your stuff and then at whatever 1:09:39 point they're done the master agent will 1:09:41 reach back out to you and go here you go 1:09:43 and you're like ah it seems that that 1:09:45 itinerary seems a little busy can we can 1:09:47 we dumb it down a little bit sure thing 1:09:49 Boss off they go again so and and that's 1:09:52 just like one teeny tiny example so 1:09:54 there's going to be lots of that stuff 1:09:56 Apple's going to be really good at this 1:09:58 pay pay attention to what Apple does in 1:10:00 the space Apple's stuff's going to feel 1:10:03 more like magic than a lot of the stuff 1:10:05 right now because right now we're having 1:10:07 to we're having to provide the reasoning 1:10:10 and the logic to to sort of steer these 1:10:14 things agents in the future will have 1:10:17 much more autonomy and they they'll be 1:10:19 really good at doing things on our 1:10:20 behalf that's insane where can you 1:10:22 create an agent so 1:10:25 so you can create an agent you can 1:10:27 create assistance within um 1:10:30 within chat GPT there's also in the open 1:10:34 source Community there's a lot of this 1:10:36 stuff there's um oh what the hell was it 1:10:44 called I can't 1:10:49 remember there was one called Baby 1:10:53 AGI just just go to Reddit if you're 1:10:56 geeky you can do this right now all 1:10:58 there there's a ton of these projects on 1:11:00 open source David Shapiro has a has a a 1:11:03 project for autonomous agents so if if 1:11:06 you don't follow David Shapiro go follow 1:11:08 David Shapiro he's Dave shap at or dve 1:11:13 shap on 1:11:14 YouTube um he's got a project right now 1:11:18 for cognitive architecture for an AGI 1:11:20 system and then he's got a second 1:11:22 project an open source project for um 1:11:25 autonomous agents that can spin up other 1:11:27 autonomous agents agent GPT that was it 1:11:30 an auto GPT thank thanks comp uh Brandon 1:11:34 comp comp KSU 1:11:38 um yeah autog GPT is the one I was 1:11:41 thinking of and and um so so those are 1:11:46 open-source um assistant or agent 1:11:49 projects and you can go you can go build 1:11:51 them right now now here's the deal about 1:11:53 them 1:11:54 we're 1:11:56 early the the the caveat for all of 1:11:59 these things right now they're just 1:12:01 they're janky pieces of [ __ ] the other 1:12:03 thing about agents is that they will run 1:12:06 up your open AI bill because you say to 1:12:10 it Go accomplish this task and it will 1:12:12 just go try to accomplish that task over 1:12:15 and over and over again and if it fails 1:12:16 it'll try it again and it'll try it 1:12:18 again so you could run up your your open 1:12:20 AI API Bill really really really quickly 1:12:23 uh if you're not 1:12:24 careful um but but that's 2024 we're 1:12:28 going to start to see some of these 1:12:30 things emerge and and I would think that 1:12:32 they're going to be within chat GPT 1:12:34 they're likely going to be within Gemini 1:12:36 Ultra at some point how long before 1:12:38 Dolly e fixes the issues with text and 1:12:40 images I'm guessing mid to end of this 1:12:43 year someone will crack that nut 1:12:47 um it's already way better than it was 1:12:50 six months ago like six months ago you 1:12:52 couldn't do text and images 1:12:54 and then um ideogram came out and all of 1:12:57 a sudden you 1:12:58 could and then Dolly 3 came out and it 1:13:00 got really good 20123 the last normal 1:13:03 year exactly 1:13:05 2023 is going to be the last year where 1:13:07 we're kind of the 1:13:10 ones providing the 1:13:12 logic 2024 these systems are going to 1:13:16 start to get reasoning and once they get 1:13:18 reasoning here here's here's one of the 1:13:20 things that happens with with with AI 1:13:23 with machine learning an 1:13:25 AI and and like the question about why 1:13:28 didn't we have chat GPT 10 years ago 1:13:30 when we had all this 1:13:33 stuff AI kind of goes it's crappy it's 1:13:37 crappy it's crappy it's crappy it's 1:13:39 crappy it's crappy like years are 1:13:40 passing right it's crappy it's crappy it 1:13:43 sort of works it's it's crappy it sort 1:13:45 of works it's kind of good it's sort oh 1:13:47 it's good oh it's good oh it's great oh 1:13:48 it's oh it's amazing boom so it's like 1:13:51 it goes from like nothing to incredible 1:13:54 we're just in this part of that 1:13:58 curve so so we've been sort of plotting 1:14:01 along 1:14:02 gpt1 gpt2 was okay um buddy of mine 1:14:06 Richard Boyd developed some things in 1:14:08 gpt2 it was okay he said not great but 1:14:11 it was fine gpt3 came out and all of a 1:14:14 sudden things got better chat GPT and 1:14:16 GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 and all of a sudden 1:14:19 we're starting to do this we're on this 1:14:21 part of the curve GPT 5 is it's not 1:14:24 going to be just like a a little 1:14:26 incremental improvement from gp4 1:14:29 no they they finished gp4 two years 1:14:35 ago we got access to it not two years 1:14:38 ago we think it's really 1:14:41 new they've been working on GPT 5 for a 1:14:46 while and it's going to be exponentially 1:14:50 better than gp4 and no one's caught up 1:14:52 to gp4 I mean think about this an 8800 1:14:55 person company launched this thing 1:14:57 November of 1:14:59 2022 called chat GPT and no one's caught 1:15:02 them yet Google claims to have caught 1:15:06 them but they haven't actually launched 1:15:08 the version of their GPT thing that 1:15:11 competes with 1:15:13 it these are the biggest companies in 1:15:15 the world Microsoft decided just to 1:15:18 invest in the 800 person company Apple 1:15:21 hasn't done it meta hasn't done it 1:15:23 Google hasn't done 1:15:25 it none of them anthropic 1:15:29 inflection all all of the competitors 1:15:32 right now are kind of operating at GPT 1:15:34 3.5 levels no one's gotten into GPT 1:15:37 4 and I think we're going to see GPT 1:15:41 5 sooner than later like I don't think 1:15:44 it's going to be end of 2024 is my 1:15:47 instinct because open AI recognizes 1:15:51 they're going to have to compete with 1:15:52 Gemini Ultra so if Gemini Ultra comes 1:15:54 out mid February early 1:15:58 March open AI is not going to want to 1:16:01 sit on sit around and not compete with 1:16:04 that they're going to be like oh you got 1:16:06 something that's as good as gp4 that's 1:16:09 cute look at you look at you Google the 1:16:13 inventors of the core technology here 1:16:15 catching up with us here's GPT 5 have 1:16:19 fun be 1:16:22 like 1:16:24 crazy is Siri fire now no Siri is a pile 1:16:27 of trash 1:16:29 now apparently Apple's going to make 1:16:31 Siri not suck I will believe it when I 1:16:33 see 1:16:35 it that's hilarious that's what I did 1:16:38 all day long today what' you do all day 1:16:40 long today Kyle I found it very 1:16:42 insightful wait what was that how do you 1:16:44 use AI in your day-to-day me 1:16:47 personally 1:16:50 um I don't use Google anymore I use it 1:16:53 essentially is my primary search for 1:16:55 anything and it's 1:16:58 funny now that I have gp4 I never really 1:17:02 wanted a search 1:17:03 engine if you think about what a search 1:17:05 engine is a search engine 1:17:08 is generally what you want is you want 1:17:11 an answer right I'd like to know how to 1:17:14 program python please here are 47 sites 1:17:18 that will teach you how to program 1:17:19 python you know 40 of which are horrible 1:17:23 multi-level marketing funnels that don't 1:17:27 teach you anything you know somewhere 1:17:29 buried in there are some actual 1:17:31 resources and somewhere buried in there 1:17:33 are one or two where you can begin to 1:17:35 learn 1:17:36 something well with chat JT I actually 1:17:39 just get the answer it's like that's all 1:17:41 I wanted in the first place I don't want 1:17:42 to go look at the 40 [ __ ] sites I 1:17:44 just want the answer so I use it like 1:17:47 that Kyle you're like John from Silicon 1:17:50 fle Bitcoin group people compared that 1:17:52 group with the home brew computer group 1:17:54 it it it was I was an assistant 1:17:57 organizer oh that's super cool yeah so I 1:18:00 I I started a similar group like this in 1:18:03 '94 called the worldwide web artist 1:18:05 Consortium which was kind of like the 1:18:06 home Homebrew computer group in uh in 1:18:09 but it was it was for web developers in 1:18:11 New York City in Sil silicon alley so 1:18:15 yeah so I've I've I've started a group 1:18:17 like this before um co-pilot question 1:18:20 mark I assume the question is do I think 1:18:22 it sucks and I don't know which co-pilot 1:18:24 you're referring to if you're referring 1:18:27 to GitHub 1:18:29 co-pilot yes you should go use it you 1:18:32 should you should get good at pair 1:18:34 programming with GPT um if you're just 1:18:37 talking about General Microsoft co-pilot 1:18:40 like in Office 365 and in Windows and 1:18:44 co-pilot 1:18:46 microsoft.com 1:18:48 um it's good it could be great 1:18:59 um so co-pilot is Microsoft's version of 1:19:03 chat GPT and they've Incorporated it 1:19:06 into everything my personal challenge 1:19:09 with co-pilot right now is the safety 1:19:11 guard rails are 1:19:14 so conservative that it makes it kind of 1:19:17 unusable but but it's it's B it's it's 1:19:20 free chat 1:19:21 gp4 new haircut no no I just didn't put 1:19:25 enough glue in 1:19:25 [Laughter] 1:19:30 it oh man oh I found it very insightful 1:19:33 when you reminded me open AI isn't meant 1:19:36 to be a consumer facing company okay um 1:19:41 so so what cuno is talking about 1:19:45 here so I was kind of I was kind of 1:19:47 pooping on 1:19:50 um on the chat GPT store suck in the the 1:19:54 the GPT store sucking it and it sucks 1:19:57 like it's bad it's like if it's not even 1:20:01 as good as po the the PO but directory 1:20:07 which has been out for like two years 1:20:10 and Adam D'Angelo the CEO of quora is on 1:20:13 the board of open 1:20:14 AI it's not even as good as that like 1:20:17 it's not even close to as good as the PO 1:20:20 directory so it's a piece of [ __ ] okay 1:20:23 um but what struck me and and also they 1:20:27 they they released 1:20:29 teams at the same time so they said 1:20:31 here's your GPT store and by the way 1:20:33 you've now got chat GPT 1:20:36 team which allows you to 1:20:41 um basically share gpts across your 1:20:47 organization um but when you sign up for 1:20:49 it it says upgrade to GPT teams but it 1:20:52 doesn't import any of the work that 1:20:55 you've already done it's a separate 1:20:57 subscription so you still have GPT plus 1:20:59 and now you have GPT team and they say 1:21:02 sometime in the next couple of weeks 1:21:04 they're going to incorporate those 1:21:06 two 1:21:08 okay but here's here's what struck 1:21:13 me open 1:21:15 AI is not a consumer software company 1:21:18 they're a research lab they've always 1:21:21 said they've been a research lab they're 1:21:23 primary mission in life is to achieve 1:21:26 AGI artificial general intelligence they 1:21:29 don't really give a [ __ ] about chat GPT 1:21:32 as a core business because it's not 1:21:34 their business their business is the 1:21:36 core 1:21:38 research to build the foundation 1:21:41 models chat GPT was an afterthought it 1:21:44 was just a demo app to show what you 1:21:47 could do with this base model but it 1:21:51 happened to take off so dramatically 1:21:54 that it forced them into being a 1:21:56 consumer application company they don't 1:21:59 have that core skill set it's not in the 1:22:01 DNA they're going to have to bring 1:22:03 someone in my opinion if they want to 1:22:05 compete in this world they're going to 1:22:07 have to bring someone in that's actually 1:22:09 good at that and so I give them a little 1:22:12 bit of Grace with the 1:22:13 GPT store sucking and with with the 1:22:16 teams thing kind of sucking 1:22:19 because they're stepping into an arena 1:22:22 that's not what they've done for seven 1:22:24 years or however long they've been 1:22:25 around they've been around for a while 1:22:27 um it looked like uh Pate said his wife 1:22:29 brought his his wife got him the the 1:22:31 charger so he's back that's good awesome 1:22:35 welcome I think it's so cool you're 1:22:36 sitting there with your baby in your lap 1:22:38 that's 1:22:38 awesome Bravo P's wife it's really 1:22:43 good um Can these Auto agents just do my 1:22:47 laundry and dishes I know right wouldn't 1:22:49 that be nice well actually the the the 1:22:52 the physical iCal robots are going to be 1:22:54 able to do that they just showed one 1:22:56 that can they can teach it to make 1:22:58 coffee so if people eventually convert 1:23:01 to chat GPT over Google what would the 1:23:06 equivalent be to SEO I that's a great 1:23:10 question my life is a Mambi great 10 out 1:23:13 of 10 on the name with with the with the 1:23:16 Emoji of of a zombie it's really 1:23:19 good 1:23:21 um 1:23:27 it's not going to be dissimilar to 1:23:31 SEO but you're going to have 1:23:33 to you're going to have to get your 1:23:36 stuff embedded 1:23:39 into the the the core large language 1:23:43 model as a trusted Source like I don't 1:23:45 know I don't I don't 1:23:48 know cuz 1:23:51 here's the the way these large language 1:23:54 models work so if they take let's just 1:23:57 say they take a whole library of PDFs 1:23:59 and they're going to what they what they 1:24:01 call embed them the PDF itself the 1:24:05 documents themselves cease to exist when 1:24:07 they get embedded what happens is it 1:24:11 takes all of the words within the PDFs 1:24:14 and it groups those words into semantic 1:24:17 clouds in Thousand dimensional 1:24:19 mathematical space it's weird it's just 1:24:22 weird it's kind of like your brain it's 1:24:24 kind of like this sort of abstract 1:24:27 mathematical space and when you type in 1:24:30 your prompt it creates a mathematical 1:24:34 waiting that basically says somewhere 1:24:37 in these trillion words that are 1:24:40 represented mathematically in Thousand 1:24:43 dimensional Vector space is the most 1:24:47 probable next word to plop to to to be 1:24:51 the next word in the answer to your 1:24:52 prompt 1:24:53 and then there's another word that's the 1:24:54 next most probable and another one 1:24:56 that's the next most probable and it 1:24:58 basically just writes like that it's 1:25:00 this it's it's a calculator that's doing 1:25:04 probabilistic guesses as to what words 1:25:07 come 1:25:08 next um and so like that's how these 1:25:13 things get trained so how you get your 1:25:16 information into that mathematical space 1:25:19 in a way that when someone says hey I 1:25:21 need the best information about a 1:25:24 florist in St 1:25:26 Louis I don't know I don't know how your 1:25:28 [ __ ] shows 1:25:30 up I was at Alexa when chat GPT launched 1:25:33 to say it caught people off guard is a 1:25:35 huge understatement wow that's a yeah I 1:25:38 I bet it was amazing I bet it was 1:25:39 amazing P because it's it's um like even 1:25:44 open AI didn't think it was a big deal 1:25:46 like here's the 1:25:48 thing November 30th 2022 is when chat 1:25:51 GPT launched but you could basically do 1:25:55 everything chat GPT did by going to the 1:25:57 open AI 1:25:58 playground the GPT playground and you 1:26:02 could type in a prompt and it would 1:26:04 generate an answer but there were like 1:26:06 all these other switches and dials and 1:26:07 you had to choose models and you had 1:26:09 this thing called temperature which you 1:26:10 could slide up and down and it was just 1:26:12 it was just a slightly geekier interface 1:26:16 but it did the same [ __ ] for 2 years 1:26:20 before chat GPT came out nobody 1:26:24 cared I mean the developer Community 1:26:26 cared they were like holy [ __ ] this 1:26:28 stuff's amazing but that was the Geeks 1:26:30 they were off in the corner building 1:26:31 little things and one of them turned it 1:26:34 into Jasper and one of them turned their 1:26:36 it into copy AI so like these tools had 1:26:39 been 1:26:40 out and so when they launched this thing 1:26:43 called chat GPT it makes no logical 1:26:46 sense why anyone would care about 1:26:49 it and I think what everyone 1:26:53 underestimated was the power of a simple 1:26:56 interface right Tim burner Lee invents 1:26:59 the worldwide web the internet before 1:27:01 the worldwide web was a command line 1:27:05 interface you had to know the IP address 1:27:08 of the server that you wanted to connect 1:27:10 to and then you would type in commands 1:27:12 to connect to that server and then your 1:27:14 computer would talk to their comp it was 1:27:16 very 1:27:17 technical and Tim burners Lee comes up 1:27:20 with the hypertext transfer protocol 1:27:23 you can take a word and you can 1:27:26 highlight it and it will connect when 1:27:29 you click on that word to another 1:27:32 computer server so they basically just 1:27:34 hid the command line beneath a 1:27:38 click and it changed everything and 1:27:41 that's what chat jbt is that's what it 1:27:43 represents and so yeah so I think 1:27:45 everyone including open AI 1:27:47 underestimated it and so did the Google 1:27:50 and so did meta and so did everyone 1:27:53 but when you have a piece of software 1:27:56 that gets to 100 million users in 6 1:27:58 weeks on Word of Mouth only shit's going 1:28:01 to change and that's that's what 1:28:02 happened that's that's why everyone 1:28:04 freaked out so much cuz it just it 1:28:07 makes there is something more here right 1:28:11 and so all of the tech companies are now 1:28:13 laser focused on this space wouldn't the 1:28:16 SEO still be driven by 1:28:18 ranking of the search engines that 1:28:21 Chachi chat GPT is not using search 1:28:25 engines well chat GPT is using 1:28:29 Bing when it can't find what it needs in 1:28:33 its known data set its primary search is 1:28:37 to its foundation 1:28:40 model and then if it if it doesn't have 1:28:43 the answer in there then it will go do a 1:28:45 web 1:28:47 search and it will pull up whatever 1:28:50 shows up there and then it incorporates 1:28:52 that into an answer with the large 1:28:54 language 1:28:55 model so in that case yeah SEO ranking 1:28:59 in in this case 1:29:02 Bing is important but how you actually 1:29:06 get in the core organic answers of chat 1:29:09 GPT I don't know you just have to 1:29:11 have you have to have contributed well 1:29:13 to the world without putting [ __ ] 1:29:17 out 1:29:19 there um it's also going to be 1:29:22 interesting to see how long these large 1:29:24 language models last without fullon 1:29:27 advertising injection in them here's 1:29:31 your answer brought to you by 1:29:34 Exxon that's going to [ __ ] some [ __ ] up 1:29:37 that's going to drive people more to 1:29:39 open- Source 1:29:41 Solutions I don't know I don't know man 1:29:44 it's crazy it's I don't know I got I got 1:29:47 I got nothing I got nothing I got 1:29:50 nothing for you 1:29:53 Wisconsin condo subscribed for two 1:29:55 months thank you very much appreciate 1:29:57 that sir can AI cure cancer or will it 1:30:01 not be allowed to well I think that I 1:30:04 think that you know we were talking 1:30:06 before about 1:30:07 when we're in this weird uh not 1:30:12 weird we're in a mode of of AI and 1:30:15 machine learning right now where we're 1:30:16 just starting to sort of turn up the 1:30:18 hockey stick we've been kind of like 1:30:20 this for many years and now it's 1:30:22 starting to do this and we're very gonna 1:30:24 quickly very quickly G to do 1:30:26 that when AI 1:30:29 starts when it when it when it when it 1:30:33 can reason when we have AGI and it can 1:30:37 reason and then the AI can improve 1:30:40 itself that's when this starts going 1:30:43 like this and then you'll be able to 1:30:45 throw any problem at it here's all the 1:30:49 cancer data we've got for 50 years could 1:30:51 you go solve that 1:30:54 sure three days later here you go here's 1:30:56 your curies to cancer um it's obviously 1:30:59 not going to be that simple but it's 1:31:02 it's going to be there's going to be 1:31:04 Quantum 1:31:05 advances very very quickly like 20124 1:31:08 starts to get really weird cuz I think 1:31:10 2024 is when we start to hit this this 1:31:13 ramp up and that's why again I think 1:31:15 2023 is the last normal year where it's 1:31:18 like things are kind of predictable yeah 1:31:21 oh that that kind of remarkable that it 1:31:23 can write a complete novel for me if I 1:31:25 just ask for it but yeah that's kind of 1:31:27 normal well you know um did you pay 1:31:31 attention what happened to Deep Mind not 1:31:33 what happened to Deep Mind what Deep 1:31:35 Mind created like a month ago six weeks 1:31:38 ago in Material 1:31:43 Science they released a paper in the 1:31:46 journal Nature that said Dear World here 1:31:50 are 2.2 Mill million new materials the 1:31:55 world has never seen 1:31:56 before of those 380,000 1:32:00 of them are stable 1:32:04 crystals what's that mean like stable 1:32:06 crystals like you you remember all the 1:32:09 buzz about there was a room temperature 1:32:11 superconductor that was supposedly 1:32:13 created in Korea 3 months 1:32:16 ago 380,000 1:32:19 stable crystals that could be that or 1:32:22 could be the new coating for your 1:32:24 non-stick pans or could be a new way to 1:32:27 transmit electricity or could be a new 1:32:29 way to build stadiums that you can 1:32:32 just aim lasers at and it builds a 1:32:35 stadium like I like we don't even know 1:32:37 380,000 1:32:39 stable crystals to put it in 1:32:42 context prior to that human beings had 1:32:46 come up with had 1:32:48 identified 20 20 or 22,000 1:32:53 and then with computer computers aiding 1:32:55 humans they found another 48,000 so 1:32:59 humans and 1:33:00 computers over our lifetime or over over 1:33:05 history have come up with 1:33:08 68,000 stable 1:33:11 crystals deep mind just did 380,000 1:33:16 they said in their press release or in 1:33:18 the in the thing it's essentially 800 1:33:20 years worth of scientist advancement 1:33:23 just dumped on the world that happened 6 1:33:26 weeks 1:33:28 ago like we don't know the implications 1:33:31 of that they are likely 1:33:33 profound as as lab after lab after lab 1:33:37 starts to replicate those crystals and 1:33:39 sees what the properties are and 1:33:40 actually starts building [ __ ] with them 1:33:42 and figuring out manufacturing 1:33:44 techniques that's just Material Science 1:33:47 and that's one 1:33:48 company aiming these tools at one 1:33:54 area and saying here 1:33:58 world so we're going to start to see 1:34:00 that like every two months and then 1:34:03 every month and then every two weeks and 1:34:05 then every week and then it's going to 1:34:06 be like 1:34:08 daily here's here's some 1:34:11 massive Thousand-Year advancement in 1:34:15 climate change here's a Thousand-Year 1:34:17 advancement in economic theory here's a 1:34:19 Thousand-Year advancement like that's 1:34:22 what's going to start 1:34:25 happening is it going to happen in 2024 1:34:28 I don't know but I think we get some 1:34:30 version of API AGI in 2024 and that 1:34:34 that's essentially the beginning of this 1:34:36 thing just taking off exponentially and 1:34:40 and we as humans don't understand 1:34:42 exponential growth it it's it's 1:34:45 impossible to comprehend it it's just 1:34:47 too the way the way Sam mman described 1:34:50 it he said imagine IM having a 1:34:54 year where you have the scientific 1:34:58 advancement of the previous 1:35:02 500 like in in all 1:35:07 areas what would that even be look what 1:35:10 what would that look like and the 1:35:12 implication of your question was will 1:35:14 they be allowed to cure cancer is you 1:35:16 know farmer is not going to let it 1:35:18 happen because they make their money 1:35:19 treating cancer not curing cancer 1:35:22 well when when it's coming from all 1:35:28 directions from all sorts of companies 1:35:31 it's going to change everything it's 1:35:33 going to change economic models it's 1:35:34 going to change 1:35:36 Industries absolutely not getting AGI 1:35:39 this year quote me or whatever all right 1:35:41 Pate Pate called it here 1:35:44 first Pate doesn't agree with David 1:35:47 Shapiro where am I on this 1:35:50 um I think by the end of 1:35:58 2024 I think by the end of 2024 we'll 1:36:01 have two things Pate I think we will 1:36:03 have autonomous agents that are decently 1:36:06 functional and I think we'll have some 1:36:08 version of 1:36:10 reasoning whether or not it qualifi it 1:36:14 depends on the definition of AGI right 1:36:16 like we we get into all sorts of 1:36:18 semantic [ __ ] here but I think by 1:36:21 the end of 2020 for we we we get 1:36:23 autonomous agents and we get reasoning 1:36:25 and the minute you have those two then 1:36:26 it's just a matter of time and it's a 1:36:29 matter of degrees and it's a matter of 1:36:30 definitions so so we'll see it and it's 1:36:33 very possible listen you know it it's 1:36:36 very possible but I I 1:36:39 uh I'm going to go with David Shapiro on 1:36:41 this one D David still thinks we're 1:36:43 going to have it essentially by 1:36:45 September um my favorite story was the 1:36:48 pastry AI that accidentally detected 1:36:50 cancer yeah there's going to be there's 1:36:52 going to be all sorts of [ __ ] like that 1:36:53 well and just like we've got we've got 1:36:55 regular people that are making 1:36:59 um these gpts that have never been a a 1:37:02 software developer in their in their 1:37:04 life that are like I don't know what 1:37:06 Cory Sandler's background was but she's 1:37:08 making these gpts that you know crazy 1:37:10 shoe designs and eyeglass designs and 1:37:14 pottery glazing recipes and 1:37:18 like right now the tools that they have 1:37:20 to play with let them make 1:37:22 this let's effectively call it a cute 1:37:25 little application that happens to be as 1:37:27 powerful as as GPT 1:37:30 4 but it's a it's the gpts that are out 1:37:33 there right now are relatively primitive 1:37:36 because the base technology is 1:37:38 relatively 1:37:41 primitive but the the trend here is 1:37:45 really 1:37:49 important a lot of people in this group 1:37:51 in the AI Salon who were not software 1:37:55 developers are lit on fire right now 1:37:58 developing software in the form of gpts 1:38:02 but they're full-on developing software 1:38:04 and they're putting it out in the world 1:38:06 look at this application I made it does 1:38:08 this cool thing it does that cool thing 1:38:09 people like oh that's cool how'd you do 1:38:11 that that was really 1:38:12 cool well what happens when the Tool 1:38:17 gets 200 times more powerful than gpts 1:38:21 are 1:38:22 today and it's still just as easy for 1:38:24 Cory Sandler to make that application as 1:38:26 this one 1:38:28 right and she's like oh well you know 1:38:31 what's a passion thing of mine I don't 1:38:33 know much about it but it sure would be 1:38:34 nice if I could help these kind of 1:38:36 people that don't have access to 1:38:37 something and she just makes that 1:38:39 application and it's world class that's 1:38:43 coming and so so yeah so you're going to 1:38:47 have people that literally stumble upon 1:38:50 crazy crazy scientific breakthroughs 1:38:53 because they just came at it from some 1:38:56 orthagonal 1:38:57 bizarre different direction and they 1:39:00 have these very powerful tools at their 1:39:02 disposal at what point will ethics 1:39:05 become a serious concern to discern real 1:39:08 and misinformation 2024 1:39:10 joer get 1:39:13 ready we're entering a presidential 1:39:15 election where misinformation is already 1:39:19 part of the game it's been part of the 1:39:21 game for a 1:39:23 while 2024 is going to be 1:39:27 insane it is it is my 1:39:30 hope and my thought well it's my thought 1:39:34 but it's my 1:39:36 hope that things in 2024 get bad 1:39:40 enough that we collectively as a global 1:39:44 Society or or or at least as a US 1:39:46 Society say hey we've got to [ __ ] do 1:39:49 something about 1:39:50 this and and I think we need to do 1:39:53 something around tokenization whether 1:39:54 it's blockchain or some other kind of 1:39:56 tokenization Technology where we can 1:39:58 verify 1:40:01 humans and we can verify the content 1:40:04 that those humans 1:40:12 created 1:40:15 because we're not that far away from 1:40:17 someone being able to just completely 1:40:20 synthesize all the [ __ ] I do I there's 1:40:23 plenty of material of me out there and 1:40:26 make a live that looks like this live 1:40:28 but it's got a completely different 1:40:30 message it's trying to get you to buy 1:40:31 some Bitcoin 1:40:34 derivative but it'll look like me it'll 1:40:36 sound like me it'll 1:40:39 joke so at some point we're all going to 1:40:42 demand um I need to be able to know that 1:40:45 this is the real AI learning lab and I I 1:40:49 want to be able to determine that that 1:40:51 video that's on YouTube has got the 1:40:53 green check mark that says yeah the the 1:40:55 real AI learning lab made that video and 1:40:58 that video hasn't been modified I I 1:41:00 think the 1:41:04 the I think 2024 is the year where we we 1:41:07 suddenly realize we got to get our [ __ ] 1:41:10 together on this but I don't I don't 1:41:12 know I do not know but it's it this year 1:41:16 this year it becomes a big issue 1:41:18 completely agree 2024 will show 1:41:22 a multifold advancement in AI yep so AI 1:41:27 will give us the philosopher stone 1:41:28 finally yep we're pretty close to it 1:41:30 right 1:41:31 now AGI is coming are you ready Alman 1:41:37 2024 where did they find them where did 1:41:40 they find 1:41:41 what my boss wants me to teach him a AI 1:41:44 Dr bod teach your boss 1:41:47 Ai and and and Dr BD if even if you're 1:41:50 like but I don't know anything about it 1:41:53 you've been in here I you've been in 1:41:55 here more than once so you're at least 1:41:58 using chat GPT I hope you've probably 1:42:01 made images in DOI you don't need to 1:42:03 show your boss 1:42:05 much what I'm realizing what I'm 1:42:08 realizing about the [ __ ] that I've built 1:42:09 in AI is as I'm showing it to people 1:42:12 they can't process 1:42:14 it people go going from a standing start 1:42:17 knowing nothing about AI to seeing even 1:42:19 a semi 1:42:22 Advanced kind of 1:42:25 tool they can't process it like they 1:42:28 need time they need time to like go oh 1:42:31 [ __ ] uh W what 1:42:35 a so you don't have to show much but 1:42:38 absolutely take them up on it be become 1:42:41 the expert within your organization 1:42:43 absolutely Go For It Go For It Go For It 1:42:46 car and aircraft designs that take a 1:42:47 100-year leap absolutely what's the 1:42:50 definition of AGI how far are we from it 1:42:52 Google actually put out a paper that's 1:42:55 actually really interesting I think it 1:42:57 was Google wasn't it Pate 1:43:00 um 1:43:02 Google paper on 1:43:05 AGI 1:43:11 stages or AGI definitions levels of 1:43:14 levels of 1:43:19 AGI is it this 1:43:22 Google revised 5th 1:43:35 January yeah Google Deep 1:43:37 Mind 1:43:48 so six principles so go look at this 1:43:51 paper so this paper is called levels of 1:43:54 AGI operationalizing progress on the 1:43:58 path to 1:44:01 AGI so go look at this paper and if if 1:44:04 if 1:44:06 uh if if someone if one of the mods or 1:44:09 or one of the 1:44:11 Irregulars can post it in um I'm trying 1:44:14 to think where to post it maybe post it 1:44:17 in um tools and resources 1:44:23 um and also in water 1:44:25 cooler so the the levels level zero no 1:44:29 AI or narrow 1:44:33 AI level one emerging equal two or 1:44:37 somewhat better than an unskilled human 1:44:41 chbt is certainly there it's at level 1:44:44 one level two competent at least 50th 1:44:48 percentile of skilled adults this is 1:44:51 where we're we're probably not there 1:44:54 we're probably there with some things oh 1:44:56 yeah competent AGI not yet 1:45:01 achieved level one em emerging AGI chat 1:45:05 GPT Bard llama 2 Gemini so so level 1:45:11 one's been achieved in 1:45:12 AGI level two is at least 50th 1:45:16 percentile of skilled adults level three 1:45:19 is expert at least least 90th percentile 1:45:22 of skilled adults meaning it's better 1:45:25 then so so when you get to level two and 1:45:28 level three that means AGI has 1:45:32 reasoning level four virtuoso at least 1:45:35 99th percentile of skilled adults 1:45:38 meaning these tools are better than 1:45:41 99% of skilled humans at all 1:45:46 jobs right so that's level four and then 1:45:49 level five superhuman outperforms 100% 1:45:51 of 1:45:52 humans so so that paper is really 1:45:54 interesting the other place I would go 1:45:56 is I would go to David Shapiro on 1:45:58 YouTube 1:46:00 um let me see at Dave 1:46:07 shap and then go look at his 1:46:10 videos and he's got 1:46:15 one he's got well he's got a 1:46:19 bunch 1:46:24 he's got one called what does AGI 1:46:28 mean Clues to 1:46:32 AGI let me see let me look within here 1:46:47 AGI this video on post AGI economics is 1:46:50 is really 1:46:56 interesting brace for impact the the 1:46:58 brace for impact one is really 1:47:10 good anyway he's got a ton of stuff in 1:47:13 here to look at so I would say 1:47:17 um brace for impact David Shapiro's 1:47:20 brace for imp impct I would say his qar 1:47:23 videos his post AGI economics 1:47:27 video super alignment you you definitely 1:47:30 want to hear him talk about super 1:47:35 alignment you know AGI all jobs gone 1:47:38 within five years now he's he's a he's 1:47:42 an a he's an AGI like he's he's written 1:47:45 five books on AGI he's got a a an open 1:47:48 source project on it so he's obviously 1:47:50 invested in this he's he's not only 1:47:52 drunk the Kool-Aid he's trying to build 1:47:54 actually build the infrastructure to be 1:47:56 able to do this um so he might not be 1:48:00 objective on this stuff but he's wicked 1:48:01 [ __ ] smart on it so anyway I go look 1:48:04 at those two things the Google paper the 1:48:05 Deep Mind paper on levels of AGI and 1:48:08 basically anything David Shapiro is 1:48:11 talking about with AGI if you want to 1:48:12 get educated on 1:48:14 it it's crazy it's crazy crazy crazy 1:48:18 crazy crazy it's 1:48:22 crazy just like 1:48:24 me it's 1:48:27 crazy can't you 1:48:32 say oh look at 1:48:36 that that's new that's 1:48:42 AGI I I don't know if you can see this 1:48:45 but I'm just I just updated my new um 1:48:52 Mac operating system and I'm in an image 1:48:55 here and I just double click I 1:48:56 accidentally double clicked on a word 1:48:58 and it highlighted the word 1:49:00 so um apple is identifying words within 1:49:04 images now and they might have done that 1:49:05 before but I don't think it was I don't 1:49:07 think it was that 1:49:08 obvious huh 1:49:10 interesting interesting very 1:49:14 interesting all right 1:49:19 fantastic y l Ma I think it's so 1:49:23 interesting that the computational 1:49:24 psychology is a thing now yeah that was 1:49:27 one of the Ethan mik uh 1:49:30 pieces that that he put out there was 1:49:32 that using human psychology on large 1:49:34 language models actually makes them 1:49:36 perform better is human intelligence the 1:49:39 limit of AI after it has used all its 1:49:42 ability to connect all the 1:49:45 info I don't think we know that yet I 1:49:48 don't I don't have a [ __ ] clue 1:49:49 there's 1:49:51 there's all sorts of theories about 1:49:53 model collapse if that at some 1:49:57 point these models are going to run out 1:49:59 of data to train on and at that point 1:50:03 they could collapse if they start 1:50:04 training on synthesize data that they 1:50:08 created that it becomes this weird 1:50:10 cyclical Loop and they kind of collapse 1:50:12 under their own weight um some people 1:50:15 believe that's going to happen some 1:50:16 people don't I but I don't know I like I 1:50:19 don't have a [ __ ] clue this is this 1:50:21 is already so significantly beyond what 1:50:24 I know anything about I'm all I'm trying 1:50:27 to do on this channel is say here's the 1:50:28 tools we have today you should get 1:50:30 curious about them you should get 1:50:32 educated about them you should be 1:50:33 building you should just be you should 1:50:35 be AI literate so that you're on the 1:50:38 surfboard rather than being on the beach 1:50:41 as this giant wave washes over the world 1:50:44 Kyle mine did to wait did it to today 1:50:47 with that exact image I made for you 1:50:50 it's much 1:50:51 more 1:50:55 responsive what's much more responsive 1:50:57 that the it it it it highlighted a a 1:51:01 word like that yeah that was that was 1:51:02 weird I haven't seen that before I just 1:51:04 installed it this afternoon the new 1:51:06 system so I haven't played with it at 1:51:08 all I think this year everyone will get 1:51:10 their own AI bot to do work for us 1:51:13 online probably but what is the salon so 1:51:16 the AI 1:51:18 Salon this group 1:51:21 is a community that I 1:51:23 started 1:51:24 um the week after chat GPT launched a 1:51:28 year and year and a month ago and it's a 1:51:31 it's a group of AI adventurers so 1:51:34 basically people that like so what's 1:51:36 what's happened in this channel is I 1:51:38 come on here every every night my my my 1:51:40 initial intent was you know I would sort 1:51:43 of sort of I I don't know teach people 1:51:46 what chat GPT was and how to use it and 1:51:48 they would sort of come in and then they 1:51:50 would would go and what's ended up 1:51:52 happening is this has become like a 1:51:54 night nightly jam session kind of in 1:51:57 coordination with the AI salon so if you 1:51:59 go to the 1:52:00 salon. the first link there will take 1:52:03 you to the mighty networks's 1:52:05 Community um where you can connect with 1:52:10 the Irregulars the the ones that come 1:52:12 here regularly are called the 1:52:13 Irregulars um and and this entire 1:52:16 community and and you know there's a 1:52:18 showand tell Channel which we should go 1:52:20 check out where people kind of you know 1:52:23 make 1:52:24 images you know in real time as this as 1:52:27 this is going on but then throughout the 1:52:29 day throughout the week they're 1:52:31 supporting one another they're teaching 1:52:32 one another they're creating 1:52:33 subcommunities within this group it's 1:52:35 really a remarkable group so um so if 1:52:38 you haven't if you don't have 1:52:41 community that is supportive and 1:52:44 empathetic and 1:52:45 inclusive that 1:52:48 is it's kind of like a support 1:52:50 [Laughter] 1:52:54 group hi my name's Kyle I'm into AI hey 1:52:59 Kyle it's been 20 minutes since I made 1:53:02 an image in DOI I'm rendering one right 1:53:04 now welcome dude been there been there 1:53:09 um it's kind of like 1:53:12 that because we're so so early 1:53:16 that most of us a universal story that I 1:53:20 hear is I'm the only weirdo in my group 1:53:23 that's talking about 1:53:25 this and then occasionally someone will 1:53:27 go ooh one of my friends just asked me 1:53:29 about it I'm going over to their place 1:53:30 tonight and I'm going to tell them all 1:53:32 about it their mind was blown they're in 1:53:35 it's like it's it is there's an 1:53:38 Evangelical element to it um anyway 1:53:43 we're a fun inv varied group of humans 1:53:45 and non and not AI disguised as people 1:53:49 yeah it's that's it's a very important 1:53:51 part of the AI Salon is um it's it's 1:53:55 about the people right it's about people 1:53:57 connecting and figuring this stuff out 1:53:59 together so anyway that's 1:54:01 that all right people let me let me wind 1:54:05 this on down let me get on out of here 1:54:07 let you get on with your Saturday nights 1:54:09 or Sunday mornings or wherever the hell 1:54:10 you are in in in in Australia I think 1:54:13 you're going into your Sunday afternoon 1:54:15 or something like that right um a link 1:54:18 of my gpts 1:54:21 I don't know what a mighty network is so 1:54:23 the mighty network is just a it's a 1:54:25 website here look tool right so we used 1:54:28 to be on Discord and now we move to this 1:54:30 thank you Robert Rossy I appreciate that 1:54:32 a lot um now we're on this thing called 1:54:35 Mighty networks and this is just where 1:54:36 the community hangs out so it's a 1:54:38 website that's kind of like think of it 1:54:40 like Facebook but but a specialized 1:54:43 version of it just for this community 1:54:45 and so there's different sections so the 1:54:48 one section is called Welcome to the AI 1:54:49 salon so you can learn about who we are 1:54:51 what we do what our values are curiosity 1:54:55 generosity 1:54:56 exploration collaboration inclusion and 1:55:00 empathy um there's announcements we have 1:55:04 meetings every other week this coming 1:55:05 Tuesday is our our next meeting um 1:55:08 there's a community section where you 1:55:10 can introduce yourself there's a water 1:55:11 cooler where you can chat um there's a 1:55:13 show and tell section which we'll we'll 1:55:16 sort of go through that at the end here 1:55:18 um there's AI tools and resources which 1:55:20 is a curated list of the the tools that 1:55:24 you should you should be getting um 1:55:26 educated on in this is in my 1:55:29 opinion but but these These are the good 1:55:31 ones um and then there's also guilds so 1:55:35 sub communities within the community 1:55:37 like a a starters Guild called AI 101 an 1:55:39 Art Guild a writer Guild business AI 1:55:42 mechanics Pate who's in here runs the AI 1:55:44 mechanics Guild he'll explain technical 1:55:46 stuff or if you want to geek out on math 1:55:48 you can do that there's Healthcare there 1:55:50 there's video and there's an education 1:55:51 Guild um so so it's it's really just the 1:55:55 place we meet and hang out in between 1:55:57 these sessions so all right I love this 1:56:01 topic model collapse I know it's crazy 1:56:03 isn't 1:56:04 it verified content is a big concern for 1:56:07 artists actors Etc yep and it's going to 1:56:09 get worse Kyle mine did it too okay that 1:56:11 was that uh I found a chat GPT wait I 1:56:15 found the GPT that you guys were talking 1:56:17 about it's called search super hour oh 1:56:20 very cool Stephen if you could share 1:56:22 that in Show and Tell was reading an 1:56:24 article yesterday about Dr Google 1:56:27 outperforming Medics on nature.com yep 1:56:31 we're going to start to increasingly see 1:56:34 um these tools outperforming humans 1:56:36 absolutely I think with anything where 1:56:38 there are lives on the line uh humans 1:56:40 are going to stay in the loop for a long 1:56:42 long time um but the the the support 1:56:45 tools from AI are going to get 1:56:46 incredible our 30 minute goodbye Starts 1:56:49 Now thank you Danielle my my nightly 1:56:52 trolling from 1:56:54 Danielle he just can't quit 1:56:57 us I've learned so much about biology 1:57:00 from chat GPT even though it doesn't 1:57:02 give me the conclusions I expect it's a 1:57:04 great tutor yeah what isn't the salon 1:57:06 that's great we won't leave AI is being 1:57:09 leveraged by people trying to do good in 1:57:11 the world with limited resources AI is 1:57:14 going to be amplifying the [ __ ] out of 1:57:17 our efforts absolutely that that's the 1:57:20 thing I'm most excited about AI are 1:57:23 Humanity amplifiers now they amplify the 1:57:26 good and the bad but the purpose of this 1:57:29 channel the purpose of the salon the 1:57:32 purpose of all the stuff that I'm 1:57:34 doing is is try in in the smallest way 1:57:38 possible or in as big a way as I 1:57:40 can bend the use of AI slightly to the 1:57:45 good because I think we're so early 1:57:48 right now that you know if if you take a 1:57:50 tanker in the ocean and you turn it a 1:57:54 tenth of a degree it's 1:57:56 imperceptible but 1:57:58 over a th000 1:58:00 miles you you've you've made miles of 1:58:03 Direction so so that's what this is 1:58:06 about um be nice to the AI if it takes 1:58:09 over better to be cherished pet than a s 1:58:12 than a simple battery exactly yeah I say 1:58:15 please and thank you to your AIS cuz it 1:58:19 seems that they work a little bit better 1:58:20 that way but it probably within 3 months 1:58:24 chat gbt is going to have memory it's 1:58:26 going to remember your conversations 1:58:28 across 1:58:29 chats um okay so let me let me start 1:58:34 winding this up and get out of here 1:58:36 um thank you to anyone who subscribes to 1:58:40 this channel anyone who who um purchases 1:58:43 the um whatever you call it what are 1:58:46 they 1:58:47 called a series I've got a Series in one 1:58:50 of the corners down there called uh 1:58:52 underhyped uh about AI um that supports 1:58:55 the channel any anyone who gives gifts 1:58:57 in here thank you um Irregulars anyone 1:59:00 who shows up here regularly you're what 1:59:02 makes this place amazing um love all the 1:59:05 info when can I join the lives oh when I 1:59:09 can join the lives oh great yeah Don 1:59:11 Smith good to see you again um I haven't 1:59:13 seen you overwhelmed you 1:59:23 make a big big difference um hang 1:59:26 on let 1:59:28 me put that up there and let's do our 1:59:31 little Romper 1:59:33 Room I see who do I see I see Barbara 1:59:37 and
