18. 3:52conversation down and it all kind of happened in this succession where hey this is a soap opera I just can't stop laughing about it hey
19. 4:06Amelia so I think I came back I didn't exactly take a break I just went and produced a bunch of content
20. 4:12about it I posted it everywhere I tagged Ethan Bullock I tugged I tagged Robert Robert Scoville I put it on Facebook I put it on Twitter
21. 4:22I put it on LinkedIn oh my God oh that was good man I'm so glad that was like I'm so glad that happened on a
22. 4:36live and it wasn't just something that happened on my own oh Tom I'm addicted to Mid Journey yeah mid journey is pretty amazing if you
23. 4:45have if you once you start getting it dialed in where you can you can get some stuff it's especially you know if you're
24. 4:53someone like me I I um I've been I was Chief creative officer of an agency that I started but I'm I'm more I'm more facile with words than
25. 5:05images I'm I'm not a good illustrator I'm a good photographer but I'm not a good illustrator can't draw for [ __ ] and
26. 5:15mid-journey and some of the stuff I did with stable diffusion with dream Booth um it like it really is this magical thing where you can take
27. 5:25if you're visual in any way like if you appreciate images if you appreciate Aesthetics in any way um you start using mid-journey and it
28. 5:35really is just this magical [ __ ] thing where it's just like you know you can you can execute at a level higher than
29. 5:44then you can and it's it's just amazing um I thought maybe you were inspired to write a script tonight actually I you
30. 5:52you know it's probably not a bad idea Emilio's wife to take take what happened in that moment and have chat GPT write a script write a
31. 6:04script for it right drama starter I mean that that would be a funny thing oh my God that was good so good

35. 6:33just I'm still I'm still a little gobsmacked about what happened and and how funny I found it like like like I like to have fun on this
36. 6:45channel but when it comes to like the AI stuff like I try to I try to like figure it out and teach stuff and and do it in a fun way but
37. 6:54there was just something so surreal that just happened then I don't know it just has me giddy so so I don't think I'm gonna be much much use
38. 7:06okay I missed it I missed it what's the joke so um you can go watch my latest video I basically took a snippet from
39. 7:13the previous live I was live like an hour ago and so I was I was showing someone the difference between um
40. 7:24Poe and Pie and so first off it started with a conversation with pi where I couldn't get it to shut up which was kind of funny
41. 7:33but it wasn't really funny and then and then I went to Poe and I said oh you can use multiple models it's got gpd4
42. 7:41and I was like oh let me see if it can make images because I know um bin Ken and I I wondered if if Poe
43. 7:48had programmed their gpt4 so it could make images and so I went to Bing and I well Poe couldn't do it I went to Bing
44. 7:56and I said make me this image and then Siri piped up and said here I found you a bunch of images on the web and I'm
45. 8:03like no Siri no I want to generate an image I'm like you know like Siri got jealous that I was talking to Bing
46. 8:11and then and then Bing made the images and they were shitty and I said oh these images are shitty but I had voice
47. 8:18recognition turned on for Bing and Bing goes oh I'm sorry if I disappointed you and I'm not a robot I'm a I'm a chat
48. 8:26model of Microsoft and you know and I hope you have a good day goodbye and hung up on me it was just [ __ ] hilarious oh my God
49. 8:39so I don't know that it was a joke it was just this surreal moment of robot neuroses where I'm like I have enough
50. 8:47neurotic people in my life including myself I don't need the Rope I was here's the thing I was kind of counting
51. 8:55on the robots to be a force of stability in my life not just another batshit crazy person to deal with
52. 9:07yeah but you know they are based on on human output so so I guess they took all of it including oh our daddy and mommy
53. 9:28it's not that they're gonna kill us so they're gonna drive us [ __ ] crazy [Laughter]

72. 14:00um what was that project what was it called something confessionals where people would it wasn't Anonymous confessionals post
73. 14:12post confessionals where people would send in like postcards they would confess to stuff on a postcard and send it to this anonymous
74. 14:21physical mailbox this was this was it started as a physical project but you could make a make a website
75. 14:30where where people could copy and paste ridiculous interactions that they've had with the Bots and then and then you could basically
76. 14:38hire actors to play the different to play the different characters or I could do it with all my stupid voices I could
77. 14:45come up with a different voice for for each of the for each of the Bots uh that's but that's too much like work
78. 14:52see this is why I need a producer I got plenty of ideas but I need to I need someone to help me get my [ __ ] together
79. 14:58but post secret yeah yeah exactly you could do like a post-secret kind of site where whenever the whatever the bot does
80. 15:06something you know disturbing or funny or you know off the wall you pop it in there and then I have to go to work in
81. 15:1430 minutes I might have to call in sick oh my God that's awesome this is too much it is too much uh I don't think I'll be here uh much
82. 15:29much longer than 30 minutes though um loved it I read them every Sunday night or so for so long yeah yeah post
83. 15:35secret that's what it was called yeah you could totally do like a bot post secret thing that that might be a fun project to spin up
84. 15:45I'll think about that because you could absolutely turn those into into funny characters huh it could be a whole Tick Tock Channel
85. 15:58where it's just different you just have different characters for the different chat Bots Bing would be really prim and proper and

124. 22:53because salon.ai is for sale yeah salon.ai was what I wanted but I didn't want like the AI domain names are ridiculously expensive like the
125. 23:05thessalon.ai was 200 bucks as it was and salon.ai was I don't know a couple of grand um it's it's not that important to me yeah
126. 23:19um all right let's go get the AIS to behave now okay so first place I'm gonna go to make a video is
127. 23:34um runwayml that was cool they've kind of redone the
128. 23:50site a bit so Gen 2 is there it was text with video text to video but now um you can also start with an image and
129. 23:59it's it's kind of cool they're like do you want to just tell it what you want it to do or do you want to start with an
130. 24:04image and the starting with an image is pretty cool so um let's see where are my images image
131. 24:21of Select from assets why do I not have where are all my assets oh there they are they were loading okay here's a cool one
132. 24:33so here here's a cool image I did in I think I was in mid-journey should I do that one yeah I'll do that
133. 24:42one because it should be able to figure this out so it's like a a picture of like a an old and Tiny Cruise liner with this psychedelic sky
134. 24:52and and let's see motion Advanced Camera controls so
135. 25:07so you can upload an image you can do a combination of image and description but I'm just gonna I'm just gonna do um just the image
136. 25:19and then with Advanced Camera control you can have it pan right pan up or down zoom in or out roll you can change the
137. 25:28speed of the movement and the amount of movement so so they've added in some things so I'm gonna I'm gonna put pan to
138. 25:34the right since there's a ship heading in this direction and let's see what it does so basically this is just this is all you do you
139. 25:42basically upload an image and maybe add some parameters but basically just see what it does so it says it'll be done in a few minutes
140. 25:51all right it's at nine percent so it's moving along decently okay and can I go look at other stuff while
141. 26:00I'm here I probably can but we'll just we'll just sit here anyway so this is this is if you just want to make video
142. 26:06you can with Gen 1 you can upload a video so let's say you got a video of yourself running across a field
143. 26:14in gen 1 you could upload that video and then and then describe what you want the new video to look like so like a claymation version
144. 26:23of that you know claymation of a man running across a field and that it will do video to video all right let's see how well this thing
145. 26:33did I would really love it if this didn't suck these things are sometimes disappointing it kind of sucked
146. 26:43it just completely transformed it into something else and the water's not quite right yeah that was kind of a fail
147. 26:54um let's see how do I get rid of this do I get rid of trash can we'll try another one we will try another one select from Air sets

152. 27:56old with the clouds and and with it zooming into the skyline but we'll see you know what site are you on oh right
153. 28:08now I'm on Runway ml this is runwayml so app. runwayml.com so you can do video to video text to video or image to video
154. 28:17they've also given you a little bit of camera controls now and they've also given you um the ability so so it initially renders a
155. 28:28four second long video and then you can just extend it four times it they it generates an 18 second clip at its Max yeah that's pretty good
156. 28:44so that's not bad and then help us improve the result I'd give that a three star out of five um render quality that's pretty much it
157. 28:56um and see this has got extend for four seconds so let me extend this one for four seconds so we now should have an eight second
158. 29:07video of like that time lapse of the clouds blowing over the city what's what's weird is it starts you
159. 29:15know you start with whatever your image is and then the minute it starts animating it like the details of the original image kind of get
160. 29:23blown out um what is it this site is called runwayml it's it's a video generative AI tool
161. 29:38and then what I'm doing right now is I'm taking a video that didn't suck too bad and I'm extending it from four seconds to eight
162. 29:45seconds and you can do that up to 18 seconds how can we improve Gen 2 fill out a survey that would require work I don't like to work
163. 29:55although that's not true what is its competitor um there's there's a handful of them out there if you go to
164. 30:07um go to futurepedia.io and go to their video section there are a number of text to video tools I think one I think one of them is
165. 30:16called descript I think they have text to video that's a bunch of video AI tools at the script um but there's probably a lot of them I
166. 30:27don't know about Runway is the one that I I would say that runway's closest um sort of um the equivalent in the image space is
167. 30:44mid-journey right if you if you want high quality stuff runwayml is the one that that you know people are looking at
168. 30:51right now that's kind of the state of the art but I know there's a lot of tools out there there's also some open source tools
169. 30:57so now this is an eight second long clip oh that's cool and it actually it slowed down the time lapse for the
170. 31:06second half of the thing that's pretty interesting huh that's cool
171. 31:24you know and somewhere in there you know somewhere in there is something that you know if you're making a film and you
172. 31:29just needed to pop some stuff out you could do it so that's that and then there's you know there's other kinds of video like like
173. 31:36if you want if you want to do synthesized voice that that brings text to life where you can take you know a
174. 31:44photo of a person or something out of mid journey and animate that there are other tools for that but this is the
175. 31:49this is the one that when it comes to just generating uh generating video is is the one that I would look at

177. 32:12real chatbots of the future uh it's comedy it's comedy comedy comedy comedy I've been meaning to ask what would be
178. 32:28some good certifications for AI to obtain a new job um so Eric I don't with if you're talking about generative AI if you're talking
179. 32:40about Chachi BT and like these image tools and all this sort of stuff there's no certificates right now that
180. 32:49that are necessarily worth their salt because it's all too new um I know that um Rachel Woods Woods I think it's Rachel Woods uh the AI
181. 33:01exchange she's got an AI Ops class which is basically talking about basically how to be someone in a company who has a
182. 33:10clue about Ai and and like what the tools are and how to use them and things like that that's probably the closest thing I know
183. 33:17to something I would trust but but quite frankly right now all this stuff is so new um I don't know that there's a that
184. 33:25there's a certification now if you want to work on the on the engineering side of machine learning there's all sorts of
185. 33:33classes right there's stuff from Stanford and MIT and Harvard and you know there's tons of stuff out there um
186. 33:41you know some you pay for some are free all that sort of stuff but if you're talking about using AI in business and getting a job
187. 33:50using these generative AI tools that's all really new stuff the thing that I that I recommend on this channel a lot for the people that
188. 33:58are here is go to the you know just start using these tools chat gbt and Claude and Bard and Bing even though you'll you'll watch
189. 34:11the the video I made where Bing sort of lost its mind tonight but um start using these tools start understanding what they're good at what
190. 34:20they're not good at understand the difference between mid-journey and ideogram and stable diffusion and how
191. 34:27they work and what's good and what's not things like that um hang on one sec foreign
192. 34:50this really funny thing happened really um do you want to chat all right go down there I'll be down

194. 35:20when it comes to this stuff is start getting curious with it and start talking about it talk about it on
195. 35:25LinkedIn talk about it with your friends talk about it with your family start putting yourself out there even if
196. 35:30you're like but I don't know anything about this doesn't matter right now nobody knows anything about this this stuff's all too new
197. 35:37like one of the jokes I have here is that all of these tools are just janky pieces of [ __ ] which they are
198. 35:46they're all they're all and not because any of the companies building them are bad it's just because the stuff is so
199. 35:51new and and what these tools do is such a a complete departure from how software used to work that everyone's trying to figure out
200. 36:00what are these things what are they good at how's it going to change you know work all that sort of stuff so um
201. 36:10so and the other thing to do is just you know find people that um you trust or like or don't mind their voice on YouTube on Tick Tock
202. 36:21um you know hang out here if you if you can stand the silliness um just just start being in the conversation be on the adventure that is
203. 36:36figuring out what this AI shit's all about and start talking about it and then opportunities will reveal themselves
204. 36:44because everyone's going to be looking for anyone that knows what the hell they're doing I shared that AI Jesus
205. 36:50meme I find it funny okay cool I started putting myself out there at work and a dude who leads Jenna gen AI project vet vetting
206. 37:00asked me to meet awesome see see confronto perfect what I was just talking about yes that that that you like we're just in this time where
207. 37:15you literally don't know at some point in every company out there someone in power is going to go we need
208. 37:25to figure this [ __ ] out who knows anything about this and if you're kind of the squeaky wheel that's been talking about this stuff and
209. 37:31putting yourself out there they'll ask you to meet and then all of a sudden you're in a very different
210. 37:37conversation in your organization or in or in life like you might be able to help someone with their business you
211. 37:43might be able to help a community group you might be able to do something cool for your family but if you're just kind of a secret
212. 37:49cyborg off to the side um then no one will know and if and if if your concern is but don't think I'm a weirdo look at my hair
213. 38:03like I've turned a camera on to an audience of 45 people with hair like this let them think you're [ __ ] weird
