10:24 backfire it's a good question well
10:26 actually so that question is is actually
10:28 kind of what I'm about to talk talk
10:30 about so where are we headed with AI and
10:32 how's it going to affect our lifestyle
10:34 and could it be a
10:37 backfire um I I don't know yes
10:40 definitely and
10:46 absolutely so back in
10:48 December I
10:51 said 2024 is going to get
10:56 weird
10:58 and January came and went without a lot
11:03 of big
11:06 stuff and February we got about halfway
11:08 through
11:10 February and then about a week ago [ __ ]
11:13 started
11:17 dropping
11:19 and the [ __ ] that's starting to drop so
11:23 for the first
11:27 time yeah
11:31 for the first time since I've been
11:32 paying attention to
11:35 this I saw a headline a news headline
11:38 that made me
11:40 go oh
11:43 [ __ ] because you know there's a part
11:46 of there's a part of doing a channel
11:48 like this like the AI is coming this is
11:50 great you should play with the AI it's
11:52 going to be big it's going to be big
11:53 it's going to be big you can't believe
11:54 how good big it's going to be you make
11:56 Mone there's all this opportunity all
11:58 you have to do is get into AI it's going
12:00 to be
12:01 fantastic there's a part of having that
12:03 as a
12:07 narrative that there's a
12:09 risk that it was just a bubble right if
12:13 I had started this Channel about
12:15 blockchain and N
12:19 nfts when when that market kind of [ __ ]
12:21 the bed and deservedly so for you know
12:25 being a bunch of nft bro scumbags that
12:28 stole money from people people I know
12:30 they're not all that but there was
12:32 enough of that that that industry is in
12:34 a well-deserved
12:37 timeout so there was a part of me I
12:39 think that
12:42 was especially when there's
12:45 lulls is this really happening is this
12:47 really as big a deal as I think have I
12:50 just created a warp you know time warp
12:53 or a space warp of AI is important but
12:56 just in this
12:58 bubble
13:01 and then you see something like open AI
13:03 Sora the video
13:05 model and you're like oh
13:08 [ __ ] and
13:10 like my first response to that I'm going
13:14 to fall asleep to your voice I say that
13:16 in the most respectful way that's
13:19 perfect
13:23 Brian listen this is fascinating I'm
13:26 just going to close my eyes but I'm
13:27 definitely still listening okay let's go

13:40 um so there's something in in the back
13:43 of my head of like you
13:45 know am I just am I just smoking crack
13:49 here crack was a form of cocaine in the
13:52 80s in New York City that was super
13:58 addictive
14:03 it's like I used to I used to have that
14:04 joke what are you smoking crack it used
14:07 it used to
14:08 be like funny because like people knew
14:12 what that was but I realized no I know
14:14 what that is

14:18 um and then this last week happened and
14:21 it's like oh yeah this this is this is
14:24 not going
14:25 away if you look at nvidia's Q4 earning
14:29 that just blew estimates out of the
14:31 water careful they're listening oh right
14:37 yeah if you if you look at nvidia's Q4
14:42 earnings they just they just blew it out
14:44 of the water right and so that's that's
14:46 all driven by AI
14:49 inferences and AI server farms and
14:51 things like
14:53 that and then you look at the sort of
14:55 thing that the headline that
14:58 that sort of made me go oh [ __ ] this is
15:01 like this is going to impact things in
15:04 dramatic ways and and potentially like
15:08 overnight kind of ways was Tyler
15:11 Perry
15:13 cancelling his $800 million Studio
15:17 expansion in
15:19 Georgia so if you don't know Tyler Perry
15:22 filmmaker during Co outside of Atlanta
15:26 built a massive complex of
15:30 houses and you know sound stages and you
15:33 know working things and he took all of
15:36 his favorite filmmakers and actors and
15:39 they basically would come to the
15:42 compound take their covid tests and it
15:44 was like this hermetically sealed film
15:46 making world so they kept making films
15:48 through through covid because they were
15:50 all in this thing and so I I I didn't
15:53 know this but it sounds like there was a
15:55 plan to do an $800 million Studio
15:59 expansion
16:00 it's a big deal right big economic
16:04 driver for Atlanta for
16:06 Georgia and apparently he saw open AI
16:11 Sora
16:13 model and is not doing
16:17 that
16:21 overnight so that was the first one that
16:23 really got me like this is there's
16:25 there's going to be large
16:27 swaths of
16:32 or like categories of work that just
16:35 change and change
16:38 quickly and it's it's not just the
16:40 pretty picture stuff it's not just
16:42 creatives it's it's any knowledge work
16:44 it's it's any of that sort of stuff so
16:49 anyway he said [ __ ] it let's make it8
16:54 trillion uh I saw a headline that Sam
16:57 mman is looking for $6 trillion
16:58 somewhere between 5 and 7 yes so so when
17:03 Sam Alman got fired way back when um the
17:07 rumor was CU they had just raised 10
17:09 billion from Microsoft the year
17:13 before and I guess in
17:17 November they did their big announcement
17:19 where they they announced multimodal
17:23 gp4 and they announced gpts which we all
17:26 got really excited about in this channel
17:28 we went off and built a [ __ ] ton of
17:31 gpts
17:33 um and then he went over to the Middle
17:35 East and rumor was he was over there
17:37 trying to raise a hundred billion doar
17:39 to which I was thinking like good Lord
17:42 that's a lot of money well
17:46 apparently he's thinking he needs more
17:48 like five to seven
17:53 trillion because he doesn't want to be
17:55 dependent on a single company NVIDIA he
17:58 wants to
17:59 create a chip manufacturing an AI chip
18:06 manufacturing industry really that that
18:09 dwarfs the current
18:12 compute output capacity of the world
18:15 basically that in order to get to AGI
18:18 we're going to have to have massive
18:19 amounts of
18:21 compute and why not them which is listen
18:26 it's [ __ ] ballsy it's great I mean
18:29 more power to
18:33 you it's like it used to be you know
18:37 raising you know 1050 million was was
18:42 pretty big but 5 to seven
18:49 trillion so anyway we'll see if he does
18:51 it we'll see if he pulls it
18:54 off so anyway so so I think maybe that's
18:57 what's been going on is that
19:00 is that I'm trying to process I'm you
19:03 know I'm trying to figure out what does
19:05 this mean right the the question of you
19:09 know what's the future of AI well I
19:12 think the future of AI in 2024 so we've
19:15 got eight months left right
19:19 yeah we've got eight months
19:24 left I think a couple of things
19:28 happen
19:31 I oh oh the other the other thing that
19:33 was someone asked the CEO of Runway
19:37 ml if what's coming from Runway ml is
19:41 going to be as good as open AI
19:44 Sora and his single word response was
19:50 better so Runway ml right now is the
19:53 market leader in text to video and video
19:56 to video video video generation
20:00 open AI drops Sora as a as an
20:03 announcement right it's not available
20:05 for us to play with yet it's in red team
20:08 testing
20:11 um apparently it's relatively slow
20:15 compared to other stuff like a minute a
20:17 minute per
20:19 second so a 60-second clip would take 60
20:26 Minutes
20:28 um
20:29 so I think you're going to see the
20:31 Tactical tools
20:33 of music audio voice synthesis video
20:41 animation 3D World building 3D object
20:45 creation um probably automatic code
20:50 generation data
20:54 analysis
20:57 um VIs ual analysis all of the tools
21:01 that we've got little
21:03 little gadgets right now like toys like
21:07 Runway ML and Pika right now I would
21:09 consider those video
21:12 toys they would probably take great
21:14 offense to that but the output of it is
21:17 not you you can't make a movie with it
21:20 you can but it looks
21:22 like it's janky right we don't have any
21:26 of those tools right now that are non
21:28 janky so so the first thing that happens
21:30 in 2024 is we're just going to see
21:33 rolling product
21:37 releases where these tools that right
21:39 now are janky like I would say right now
21:43 word gener like creative
21:45 writing and image generation right now
21:48 are pretty close to world
21:51 class you know research and scientific
21:55 writing and you know analysis and things
21:58 like that those still have a way to go
22:00 cuz there's no real reasoning in in the
22:02 tools but but we've got sort of two
22:04 components out of maybe a dozen kind of
22:08 outputs that are decently world class
22:13 and so I think in 2024 like all of them
22:15 start to get world
22:17 class or or at
22:20 least
22:22 indistinguishable from Human generated
22:24 work to you know to some
22:27 degree and you know know s Sora is not
22:30 perfect on that it was funny I saw um
22:32 today someone posted a SORA video of a
22:35 cockpit view of an F1
22:37 car and it looked really real except at
22:41 one point he's going around a left-hand
22:44 corner and is the steering wheel goes to
22:46 the right so he went like that and the
22:48 steering wheel went to the right and I'm
22:49 like oh that's not real so the physics
22:53 is not quite there yet but but I thought
22:56 it I thought it was footage cuz F1 just
22:59 started testing their their opening
23:00 weekend is next weekend in Bahrain and
23:03 so I saw this F1 thing and I was like oh
23:05 what car like what you know what driver
23:07 is that and then I saw the wheel do the
23:08 weird thing and then I looked at the
23:10 thing it said Sora I was like oh okay so
23:13 I think that happens in
23:16 2024 the next thing that I think happens
23:19 in 2024 or not next thing it's like I
23:21 like all of these things are going to
23:23 happen in
23:24 2024
23:27 um the large language models are are
23:30 essentially going to get
23:34 reasoning which doesn't seem like a big
23:36 deal right like well okay it's reasoning
23:38 well it's isn't it reasoning now it's
23:40 like writing no it's not what it's doing
23:42 right now is it's vomiting tokens you
23:45 put in a prompt it makes
23:48 a um probability waiting it goes and
23:52 looks into thousand dimensional latent
23:57 space this is what it this is literally
24:00 what it does it goes and looks in
24:02 Thousand dimensional latent space finds
24:04 a point in mathematical space that is
24:07 the highest probability that point in
24:09 space is associated with a word and it
24:11 puts that word on screen that's
24:12 essentially what happens and so you type
24:15 in a prompt it makes a probability and
24:17 then it vomits out a bunch of words it
24:19 has no idea what it wrote
24:21 none you're like well it seems like it
24:24 knows what it does cuz it it it seems
24:26 very thoughtful it's very compassionate
24:28 no no it's just vomiting
24:30 words
24:32 reasoning when it gets
24:34 reasoning it's going to be able to vomit
24:36 the words and then look at them and go
24:40 hm did I get it
24:43 right and if not why don't we go back
24:47 and fix the [ __ ] I didn't get
24:51 right so very very
24:53 quickly like one of the one of the
24:56 really
24:57 big
25:01 criticisms of AI right now is well it
25:04 hallucinates so much and and it's to to
25:06 be to be fair like it hallucinates
25:09 enough that even if you use Ai and even
25:12 if AI helps you to improve your
25:15 productivity the amount
25:18 of editing and factchecking and you know
25:22 just just checking and like taking out
25:24 Superfluous [ __ ] statements I did
25:26 something today and it said I don't it
25:28 was one of those stupid
25:30 AI phrases that you're like oh God that
25:33 AI wrote that right all that all that
25:36 shit's going to like get dramatically
25:38 better so you'll go from having a piece
25:42 that might be at 60 to 80%
25:46 good to pieces that are more like 95%
25:50 and higher
25:53 good and that's dramatic right that go
25:56 that goes where human in the loop is
25:59 required to some applications where
26:01 human in the loop is optional so that's
26:04 a big deal reasoning is a big deal and
26:06 and then reasoning also implies it can
26:08 do
26:10 math and when it can do math all sorts
26:13 of [ __ ]
26:15 changes so that's going to happen and
26:17 then the third big thing that's going to
26:19 happen so world class
26:22 tools reasoning and then the third thing
26:26 that's going to happen are agents A ious
26:30 agents and again I think these are going
26:32 to drop Fast and Furious from a lot of
26:35 different players cuz a lot of different
26:36 people are working on it in fact Andre
26:38 karpathy
26:40 who was at open AI left open aai came
26:43 back to open AI to work on
26:46 agents just quit open AI
26:50 to do whatever he's going to do
26:53 next which probably looks like the way
26:56 he wants to do agents versus the way
26:58 open AI is going to do
27:00 agents and then Apple is going to drop
27:04 something at the worldwide developers
27:06 Conference in
27:08 June that's probably going to be pretty
27:11 [ __ ] bitching and my my strong
27:15 suspicion is it it will be agents and
27:18 and Apple's going to be able to do that
27:19 really good they're good at privacy
27:21 they've got all our data they've got all
27:23 the apps they can hook all that [ __ ]
27:27 up and so what does that mean
27:33 well you won't need to prompt so
27:36 much right now you need to prompt
27:39 because these are word vomit
27:41 machines I know they call them large
27:43 language models but they're word vomit
27:49 machines and so you have to kind of know
27:52 you have to get good at putting in the
27:55 prompt in such a way that it vomits
27:57 decently predict
28:01 when these things get
28:03 reasoning and when they have agents you
28:06 can just say you know I kind of want
28:10 this and it will
28:12 just go off
28:14 and do it reason with itself if it needs
28:18 an action taken it will spin up an agent
28:21 that agent will go off on your behalf
28:22 and do something do you know if we'll be
28:25 able to create a GPT and a mobile phone
28:27 probably probably
28:30 probably yeah g gpts so so think of gpts
28:34 right now as the poor man's agent right
28:37 so you can make you you make this
28:39 Standalone thing open AI is training us
28:42 right now that we can call a GPT inside
28:47 a a a chat in chat GP you can be in chat
28:50 GPT right now and you can hit the at
28:53 sign and your gpts and anything you've
28:56 looked at recently are available to you
28:59 and you can call those specialized gpts
29:03 inside your GPT
29:05 right so that's all manual right now and
29:09 the gpts are really janky and some of
29:11 them are connected to other functions
29:13 and some aren't most
29:14 aren't and they're just they're just
29:20 janky but imagine if they weren't
29:24 imagine if you could spin up your own
29:25 agent that that had its own kind of
29:27 logic its own kind of knowledge base it
29:29 was easy to connect to other
29:31 services and it was dynamically called
29:36 when someone gives their GPT a
29:39 goal that GPT using its reasoning goes
29:43 out and says are there any agents out
29:46 there that can help me accomplish this
29:48 task if yes use them if no create
29:54 one so I think I think all of that
29:58 happened happens in 2024 hi there any
30:00 tips on Aging a photo using
30:04 AI uh I
30:08 think yeah I mean if if you've got
30:11 Photoshop go into Photoshop and look at
30:13 the AI
30:14 filters because I know you can Dage a
30:17 photo so I assume you can age a photo
30:19 you can go the other direction with
30:21 it
30:25 um you can also try Deco here just just
30:28 just came up with a if if it's like a
30:30 photo of a
30:33 person you can use Deco here which I'll
30:37 I'll show that in a
30:38 second where you just upload a photo and
30:41 then just change the background and you
30:44 could probably do it that way but aging
30:47 of photos
30:48 is I think you can I I think you can do
30:51 that decently with filters inside
30:52 Photoshop if you don't have Photoshop
30:54 then I know there's specialty um there's
30:58 probably phone apps that do that I don't
31:00 think you need AI for that unless you
31:03 want to do something really specific if
31:04 if you just want to age it and make it
31:06 sepia and add dust and [ __ ] like that I
31:09 think there's I think there's apps that
31:10 just do
31:15 that did you wait Kyle did you
31:23 injure wait did you injure oh did oh did
31:27 I don't quite know at the beginning of
31:28 your sentences Dr BD you can request
31:31 open AI to stop sharing your info with
31:33 the training model yeah if I don't know
31:36 are you asking to show how to do that
31:38 you you can do that in chat GPT plus but
31:42 if you have chat GPT teams it's it's
31:45 like that by
31:47 default or not chat GPT teams teams is
31:50 the Microsoft product chat GPT team is
31:55 the is the opening ey product God these
32:00 the The Branding for these things is
32:02 crazy um okay so that's what's that's
32:06 what I think's going to happen in 2024
32:08 there will likely be some surprises but
32:11 significantly more powerful
32:13 tools reasoning agents and then and then
32:17 the other thing about the significantly
32:18 more powerful
32:21 tools we're going to have at least two
32:24 and probably
32:25 more fully multim
32:29 total
32:32 engines so cat GPT 4 right now is
32:36 multimodal it can talk it can hear you
32:39 it can see it can make pictures it can
32:42 do coding it can do words it can't do
32:46 audio music voice synthesis
32:51 video 3D worlds so there's like there's
32:54 like four or five things it can't do
32:55 right now in 2024 I think those all come
32:59 together I think you'll see it from open
33:01 Ai and Google at a
33:04 minimum I would not be at all surprised
33:07 if llama 3 from meta is open- sourced
33:11 and will be fully multimodal wouldn't be
33:13 surprised by that at all so that means
33:15 the open-source Community is going to
33:17 have a model that is
33:21 gp4 class with multimodality like so so
33:26 the foundation tools of all the stuff
33:29 we're playing
33:30 with how did Sam Alman put it I keep I
33:33 I'm so glad I wrote this down because I
33:35 I I need to memorize
33:37 it Sam Alman in Davos about a month ago
33:40 said gp4 is best understood as a
33:44 preview progress here is not
33:48 linear so if you look at the jump from
33:51 Runway ml's video to sora's video that's
33:55 not linear linear is like you go from 4
33:59 seconds in Runway ml to 8 seconds and
34:03 the
34:04 coherence you know across time gets a
34:07 little better right that that's linear
34:10 jumping from 4 seconds to 60 seconds
34:14 where there's where the video
34:17 essentially understands all of the
34:18 objects in the world and the physics
34:20 within them to some degree that's like a
34:22 whole
34:23 another like it's not in the same
34:26 neighborhood of capability so I think
34:29 that's what you see and then the
34:31 question of will it affect our work or
34:34 how does it affect our
34:36 work is

35:45 canceling an $800 million Studio
35:48 build that feels pretty [ __ ]
35:52 dramatic right that feels like
35:56 within two two to 3
35:59 years the economics of how you make
36:02 films will be drastically
36:07 different and it's not necessarily a bad
36:10 thing right it doesn't necessarily mean

36:21 is those those people in positions that
36:25 get ousted if they don't f figure out
36:28 how to do [ __ ] with AI if they don't get
36:30 AI
36:34 literate the work's just going to dry
36:38 up and so what what so what does that
36:41 mean well if it's going to happen in two
36:43 to three
36:45 years that let's let's say right now
36:48 that that just the union
36:51 for the Teamsters Union for films that
36:55 drives equipment to sets
37:02 however many of them there are there's
37:03 going to be a lot less of
37:08 them the people that set up the sets the
37:11 people that build the sets the people
37:13 that design the sets the people that
37:15 cater the set like that that that whole
37:18 economy around that shifts so I think
37:21 that we'll start to see some canaries in
37:23 the coal mine in
37:26 2024 but
37:29 absolutely no
37:31 one should assume that their sector is
37:36 safe like if you're in a business that
37:39 touches computers in any
37:42 way you're going to be
37:46 affected and if the primary work of your
37:49 work is using computers it's going
37:52 you're going to be dramatically impacted
37:55 and the time to get AI literate is now
37:58 now while the tools are janky while this
38:01 [ __ ] isn't fully formed because when the
38:05 [ __ ] gets fully formed the big companies
38:08 are going to start freaking out and
38:10 they're going to be desperate for anyone
38:14 that can even [ __ ] spell AI you can
38:17 spell
38:18 AI come here follow me we need help
38:22 what's happening you got to tell me
38:26 now all the people that are panicking
38:29 that will be panicking right now are the
38:31 ones going we I'll tell you what we've
38:34 done here's how we've handled AI we
38:37 we've uh made it against our policy to
38:40 use it okay it's okay we got it not a
38:44 problem we're
38:46 good by September those people are going
38:49 to be
38:51 going we got we got to call a meeting
38:54 can we have an all hands I I don't even
38:56 know if we does anyone come to the
38:58 office anymore do how do we do this what
38:59 do we
39:03 do so one of the things I talk about in
39:06 here is get AI literate and start
39:08 talking about
39:11 it put it out there put it on
39:13 LinkedIn put it on Facebook talk about
39:17 it at work well we're not allowed to use
39:18 it at work I don't care tell them you
39:20 bought a Chromebook and on the weekends
39:22 you make kids books or you make party
39:26 menus for the old folks home and you do
39:30 it with AI and the old folks have never
39:32 been
39:37 happier just get yourself out
39:40 there and if you're feeling like but I'm
39:43 too far behind I'm not technical you're
39:45 not behind you don't need to be
39:47 technical the city of Bakersfield is
39:50 starting to use AI for City complaints
39:52 awesome yeah as they
39:54 should as they should maybe with AI they
39:56 can actually you know process which
39:59 complaints are getting the most noise
40:01 really really
40:04 quickly at a minimum they should be able
40:06 to respond to them with with the
40:09 semblance of
40:12 compassion the the illusion of of
40:15 compassion chat gft generated
40:19 [Laughter]
40:23 compassion what about regulated industry
40:25 like Mortgage Banking I think I think
40:27 regulated
40:29 Industries take
40:31 longer anywhere where you've got
40:33 people's lives in the balance Airlines
40:36 um healthc
40:38 care um anywhere anywhere like utilities
40:42 things like that I think those go slower
40:45 and then Financial Services anything
40:47 that's highly regulated I think goes
40:49 slower but what's going to happen what's
40:52 going to what's going to [ __ ] everyone
40:54 up
40:56 is pesky little startups who don't know
40:59 the
41:00 rules are going to put Solutions into
41:02 the marketplace that make
41:06 it painfully apparent how broken all of
41:11 the current companies are in those
41:12 regulated
41:15 Industries and so it's it's not that
41:17 they're not going to get shaken up it's
41:19 just that it's it's going to take them a
41:21 long time to roll the regulations
41:24 through to catch up with the innovations
41:26 that are that are sort of being shoved
41:28 on them I try my hand at writing an
41:30 ebook it's going pretty well nice Rudy
41:34 GPT and I are great workers yeah exactly
41:37 that's exactly how you should think
41:38 about chat gbt too right you want to
41:41 write an ebook great you're the you're
41:44 the author and then chat GPT is your
41:47 assistant and you you're just two little
41:49 co-workers and you're just sitting there
41:52 like I think I'd like to write a book
41:54 now that's fantastic Kyle what would you
41:56 like to write about i' like right about
41:58 this oh here here's some ideas could you
42:01 turn that into an outline sure here's an
42:04 outline yeah you can knock that [ __ ]
42:09 out that's how this book
42:12 started so this book started as C Cindy
42:15 [ __ ] got a bunch of us together and said
42:17 why don't we publish a book in a month
42:19 we we started like the last week of
42:21 November we said why don't we publish it
42:24 by the end of December we didn't hit
42:25 that but by
42:28 the third week
42:30 in
42:35 January
42:37 she made that
42:41 happen and so the trick was we all had
42:43 to use AI in some
42:46 way to do it so my chapter I took a talk
42:51 that I
42:52 gave actually in the in the video series
42:55 in in one of the corners here the first
42:58 two videos in that series talk about why
43:02 2023 was the new 1995 comparing the
43:05 early days of generative AI to the early
43:07 days of the worldwide web and and so I
43:10 did a a keynote talk on that to creative
43:13 mornings here in Denver back in April or
43:16 May and so I took the transcript of that
43:19 talk and I had chat GPT write me an
43:23 outline of the chapter of that book
43:26 based on that talk
43:28 and then I had it put in into
43:30 brackets anywhere where it felt like it
43:33 was missing connective tissue or
43:35 specific stories and so basically it
43:39 just gave me this big recipe for just
43:42 where to put all the stories I had to
43:44 tell Kyle can I get a signed copy uh
43:48 absolutely I have not uh thought about
43:51 doing signed copies I just got my
43:53 author's copy I only have one uh but
43:55 that's not a bad idea I could I could
43:57 prob do that
43:59 um Let me let me figure out logistically
44:04 how to do I'll actually talk to Cindy
44:05 [ __ ] about it she probably knows how to

45:44 money with cat GPT if you take their

45:48 course so they're not making money with
45:50 cat GPT they're making it the
45:52 old-fashioned way by selling you
45:55 something that will tell you that you
45:56 can do something that they're not
46:00 doing it's the oldest it's the oldest
46:04 money-making scheme in the book so do
46:06 what they're doing is one way come up
46:08 with a [ __ ] course use AI to increase
46:11 your vegetable yield turn it into a book
46:13 and [ __ ] sell
46:15 it and then teach them you know give
46:19 them four prompts that teach them how to
46:22 use chat GPT to write a gardening
46:25 plan um
46:28 that said I think I think a thing you
46:31 could do with chat
46:33 GPT
46:35 is actually this would be kind of
46:38 interesting go to chat GPT and
46:44 say I want you to act as
46:50 a as a direct marketing expert or
46:53 something like
46:55 that and I want want you to help
46:59 me separate fact from
47:04 fiction with passive
47:07 income
47:12 approaches and then and then brainstorm
47:15 with it work with
47:17 it to to figure it
47:20 out and and because if if you're
47:23 using uh co-pilot or if you're using
47:26 chat PT that's connected to the internet
47:29 you could even say go find me some
47:31 passive
47:34 income opportunities out there and
47:37 analyze them for
47:38 me so you could probably do if you took
47:41 a actually this would be really
47:42 interesting this would be really
47:45 interesting take a full week seven days
47:50 start I don't care when you start and I
47:51 don't care what your day job is just
47:54 don't watch TV at night and you can give
47:56 up the learning
47:58 lab so instead of watching me ramble
48:01 about stupid
48:03 [ __ ] spend 3 hours a night with chat
48:08 GPT deep diving deep diving into the
48:12 reality of passive income
48:15 opportunities and like don't stop for
48:17 seven days I and and so you spend 3
48:21 hours a night in the week nights and
48:23 then you spend 6 hours on Saturday and 6
48:25 hours on Sunday so what's that five 12
48:29 177 hours so you put in 17 hours in the
48:32 next seven
48:33 days on that one
48:36 topic I want to understand passive
48:39 income opportunities approaches tactics
48:42 strategies realities
48:47 myths and just [ __ ] learn it all and
48:49 and here's real things that are in the
48:51 world right now and have them ranked I
48:53 don't come up just [ __ ] dive into it
48:57 I bet at that the end of that week one
48:59 of two things will happen you'll realize
49:03 oh that's too much work I don't want to
49:04 [ __ ] do
49:05 it or you'll
49:08 realize here's a thing that's actually
49:10 real and it's a real opportunity and and
49:12 it's it's within my
49:15 grasp that would be
49:17 fascinating what was your wakeup moment
49:19 for AI for me it was December 5th 2022
49:22 it's well that's funny I stumbled on
49:24 chat GPT so so my
49:28 was um November 30th 2022 so the day
49:32 chat GPT came out um cuz I knew it was
49:36 coming and I'd been playing with gpt3 on
49:39 the playground the opening I playground
49:41 and it I sort of got it and then when
49:43 chat gbt came out I lost my mind I
49:47 started this
49:50 group the AI
49:53 Salon we had our first meeting of this
49:56 group
49:59 on December 7th 2022 so you had your you
50:03 had your breakthrough December 5th we
50:05 had our first meeting of this group
50:07 December 7th
50:09 2022 and I think it was two nights
50:12 before our first meeting I think I you
50:14 know what's funny I think for me
50:16 December 5th I think it was December 5th
50:18 because I remember it was two nights
50:20 before we do did this and I knew it was
50:22 December
50:24 7th I that was the I created a fully
50:28 functional python application in 90
50:31 minutes and I've never written a line of
50:33 python in my life that's when I knew
50:36 like I knew sort of what large language
50:39 models were and I knew sort of what GPT
50:41 was and I thought yeah it's impressive
50:43 and this and that but when I [ __ ] sat
50:46 there and wrote a fully functioning
50:50 python application in 90 minutes without
50:53 knowing a line of code I knew
50:59 instantly that the world was different
51:02 and very few people knew
51:05 it so that's when I started my Tik Tok
51:08 Channel that's when I started the AI
51:12 salon and I just [ __ ] lost my mind I
51:15 mean I just I
51:16 haven't I'm impossible to talk to now
51:20 unless you're into this [ __ ] if you're
51:21 into this [ __ ] I'm fine to talk to
51:24 cuz but you know some's like oh I just
51:28 had a baby I'm like oh that's so sweet
51:30 hey have you made him an AI children's
51:33 book you know what you could do I'm just
51:35 I'm [ __ ] gone what is the salon. a
51:39 okay
51:41 so so the AI Salon let me let me let me
51:44 show you what this is all about and I'll
51:46 talk about some of the changes we just
51:47 made in the community for for some of
51:49 the folks that
51:51 are
51:53 oldtimers been around for a couple of
51:55 months the old the oldtimers the the
51:59 real experts in the community been
52:00 around for a couple of
52:03 months um okay so if you go there if you
52:06 go to the salon. that is going to take
52:08 you
52:10 to
52:12 here and the very first link is the the
52:15 AI Salon community and and that's what
52:18 it is it's a community and and this
52:20 channel to a great degree is kind of an
52:22 extension of this community a lot of
52:24 people that show up here uh regular L
52:28 they're called the Irregulars um they've
52:30 also joined the AI salon and they're you
52:32 know really amazing members of that
52:35 community
52:37 so I consider this a community but the
52:40 AI Salon is an
52:42 actual
52:43 place uh it's run on Mighty
52:47 networks and it's free it doesn't cost
52:50 anything and so when you go there where
52:53 you end up is you end up in this
52:59 joint so that looks familiar so when you
53:02 first land in here I think this is the I
53:04 think this is the page it lands you on
53:06 when you first come in and what you
53:09 should do is read this page and and
53:13 here's the deal I have ADD so it's not
53:17 long I can't I can't do long things it's
53:20 very concise but this talks about who we
53:22 are why we do what we do how we do it
53:24 and it talks about our values the values
53:28 are really important this is who this
53:29 group already is so I want this group to
53:33 grow but I want it to maintain what's
53:36 actually really magical about it right
53:38 now what's Magic about this group is
53:41 that you don't have to be a technologist
53:43 to be in
53:45 it you there's not that weird sort of
53:49 competitive thing going on like people
53:51 are really generous in here really
53:53 collaborative why cuz cuz these are the
53:55 values that they all already are they're
53:57 curious It's a bunch of curious people
53:59 so you don't have a lot of people in
54:01 here you have people in here who might
54:03 be skeptical skeptical of AI or or
54:06 components of AI but they're skeptical
54:09 knowing how it
54:11 works and they're curious about how
54:13 could it be better right so curiosity is
54:15 a core core tenant of of the people that
54:19 are in this community
54:22 generosity if you learn something share
54:24 what you're learning oh I just tried
54:26 this thing and it worked o I just tried
54:28 this thing and it failed miserably but I
54:30 wonder if I did this
54:32 right when you join the
54:34 community introduce yourself to the
54:37 community there's there's a section
54:39 called introduce yourself that's the
54:42 first thing you should
54:43 do and your instinct as as a normal Homo
54:48 Sapien human being will be I don't want
54:51 to introduce myself to a bunch of
54:52 strangers that's
54:54 scary but do it anyway
54:58 because your point of view your
55:00 background your
55:04 passion is very likely a gift to someone
55:07 in this community that needs what you
55:10 have to
55:12 offer so generosity exploration people
55:15 in here are adventurous oh there's a new
55:17 thing out let's go try it collaboration
55:20 people in here are collaborative hey
55:21 let's do something together you want to
55:23 put on a show d d Cindy [ __ ] oh you want
55:25 to make a book Let's try try to make a
55:27 book in a month let's see if we can pull
55:28 it off we pulled it off was 7 weeks it

55:45 advance on a publishing contract I have

55:55 all different back
55:58 grounds experience levels you're going
56:01 to have in here people that have theater
56:04 degrees like myself and people that have
56:07 phds in mathematics like Pate who runs
56:09 the AI
56:11 mechanics the technology

56:17 empathy there's a lot of fear right now
56:20 there's a lot of anger right now there's
56:22 a lot of misunderstanding right
56:25 now knowing that and interacting with
56:28 people knowing
56:30 that if they say oh I hate that
56:34 stuff getting to why they hate it might
56:38 be an opening to have a conversation
56:41 with them not in a defensive place and
56:43 then the last value here is
56:50 gratitude I love this one we believe
56:52 gratitude is a
56:54 practice gratitude is not just a feeling
56:56 feeling but an action take the time to
56:59 acknowledge the efforts support and
57:01 successes of the extraordinary people in
57:03 this community especially if someone
57:05 inspires you go out of your way to

1:01:02 things up one of the other things that
1:01:04 happens or that's happening

1:01:13 tell area for the most part when we
1:01:16 started this three months ago it was
1:01:18 just pictures right and then and then
1:01:21 sunno came out and it started being
1:01:23 pictures and songs and then then it was
1:01:24 pictures and songs and gpts then now
1:01:27 it's pictures and songs and gpts and
1:01:29 movies so we we blew the show and tell
1:01:33 area up
1:01:35 into um four different areas so we're
1:01:38 going to we're going to we're creating a
1:01:41 page for challenges and comp

1:01:48 the mods every week she does these
1:01:51 things called um Mad Libs challenges
1:01:53 where she'll create a a a Mad Libs

1:03:06 Guild a business Guild a technology
1:03:09 Guild and a social impact

1:12:38 because when these tools get good and
1:12:41 when corporations start freaking out and

1:12:50 understand a wide range of what's coming

1:15:21 in factories run by steam engines
1:15:25 and and they didn't have unions back
1:15:28 then so it took them a while to get it
1:15:30 worked
1:15:31 out but you're not replacing the humans
1:15:34 but major shifts are going to happen so
1:15:38 absolutely most Americans only read at a
1:15:41 sixth grade level or less so that makes
1:15:43 sense to

1:16:37 AI is this idea of
1:16:40 accessibility and amplification of of
1:16:43 skills and knowledge like overnight so

1:16:48 education maybe didn't have the skills
1:16:50 maybe didn't have the you know all of
1:16:53 the advantages all of a sudden
1:16:55 have tools that catch them up so
1:16:58 everyone gets better and people that are
1:17:01 not as good get way

1:31:54 templates and and out of that they get
1:31:56 un unlimited videos but the the tool
1:32:00 itself is a is a video story telling
1:32:03 tool and so one of the
1:32:05 things that is a little hard initially
1:32:09 to get your head around is like well
1:32:10 well what is storyvine is it like
1:32:12 professional video or is it like like
1:32:15 you know like ugc like user generated
1:32:19 video it's neither so so in today's
1:32:22 world if you want to produce video you
1:32:24 kind have these two major lanes you've
1:32:25 got professional video and you've got
1:32:27 ugc and they each have really compelling
1:32:29 strengths um where Pro videos like super
1:32:33 structured and centralized and you can
1:32:34 review the content before it goes live
1:32:37 but then user generated videos like um
1:32:39 authentic and you can capture it from
1:32:41 anywhere and it's super immediate but
1:32:44 it's almost like those are black and
1:32:46 white choices hang on a
1:32:49 sec I'm

1:34:11 going to meet a patient right and and
1:34:13 there's lots of ways you could meet a
1:34:15 patient so what do we want in the ideal
1:34:16 video what would that patient be saying
1:34:18 and then the client will say well
1:34:20 usually they would talk about maybe what
1:34:22 they're most passionate about and then
1:34:24 um what led them to seek help from a
1:34:26 doctor and maybe you know who are the
1:34:28 support people in their lives and things
1:34:31 like that and so we we take that ideal
1:34:34 story and we break it down into modules
1:34:38 into segments and then we create prompts
1:34:41 for that and then the storyvine
1:34:44 app acts as a virtual director and
1:34:47 so I don't know if you can see this let

1:38:34 how do they use it how are Pharma

1:38:43 using storyvine to do personalized video
1:38:46 messages to doctors and then they're
1:38:48 also using using it for internal comms

1:40:19 that we're capturing authentic stories
1:40:22 of human beings that feels like
1:40:24 something that's going to go up in value
1:40:26 and
1:40:28 so what I realized was well what if we
1:40:31 used authentic narrative as the core
1:40:35 nugget that we can generate a lot of
1:40:38 content around and so this is called the
1:40:40 authenticity engine and you basically
1:40:43 start with a piece of media piece of
1:40:45 audio or

1:42:04 video right so title and a description
1:42:06 which you can edit it generates key
1:42:09 messages so you know here's what what
1:42:12 the woman in this video is talking about
1:42:14 then the other thing it does is it
1:42:16 chapter IES the video so it it takes the
1:42:19 narrative
1:42:22 and dang this thing there we go
1:42:26 um it takes the narrative and breaks it
1:42:28 into chapters which you can then preview
1:42:30 so you you know um let's see diverse
1:42:33 recovery opportunity so if I click on
1:42:35 that we have smart recovery celebrate
1:42:37 recovery so many so it'll jump you right
1:42:39 to that section So within and it does
1:42:41 this in about I don't know less than a
1:42:44 minute right so it does all this in less
1:42:46 than a minute so you upload a video that
1:42:48 you might not know even know anything
1:42:50 about it it you know transcribes it
1:42:53 creates a title key messages and then
1:42:57 breaks out all of the different chapters
1:42:59 and then you can flip over to another
1:43:01 Mode called content
1:43:04 generation and it will automatically
1:43:07 generate a blog post Instagram posts
1:43:10 hashtags and pull quotes of interesting
1:43:13 things that were said in the video and
1:43:15 again you know so the other thing we

1:49:23 mostly a myth and making money is just

1:49:29 just is it's
1:49:31 work you know even the people that are
1:49:33 like I only work four hours a week but I
1:49:35 work you know 60 hours a week talking
1:49:37 about how I only work four hours a week
1:49:41 right it's like like even Tim Ferris at
1:49:44 some point with his 4H hour work week
1:49:47 you know said yeah that's not really
1:49:48 true it's like it's just you get more

1:50:24 hours where you're normally just [ __ ]
1:50:25 around or watching this or watching
1:50:28 Netflix spend three hours on chat gbt
1:50:31 learning everything you can about
1:50:33 passive income opportunities myth versus
1:50:36 reality what are the what are the scams
1:50:39 that are out there what are the things
1:50:40 that actually work how much time can you
1:50:43 expect to put in it brainstorm ideas of
1:50:45 things you can do haven't use internet
1:50:48 search to go search for passive income
1:50:52 opportunities and rate them of how much
1:50:54 do they seem like a
1:50:56 scam and what does it actually know
1:50:58 about them like a lot of these passive
1:51:01 income things all they're doing is
1:51:03 regurgitating other people's programs
1:51:06 they just repackage them right so chat
1:51:08 jpt is probably pretty good at figuring
1:51:11 out oh this is one of those based on
1:51:13 this methodology and this is one of
1:51:15 those based on that methodology so
1:51:17 imagine if you spent Monday through
1:51:20 Friday 3 hours a night so 15 hours
1:51:23 during the
1:51:24 week and then 6 hours on Saturday 6
1:51:27 hours on
1:51:31 Sunday on one
1:51:35 subject passive income as
1:51:38 a as a knowledge
1:51:42 area at the end of that seven days one
1:51:44 of two things
1:51:46 happens and and it quite frankly it
1:51:49 probably happens before the week is
1:51:52 up one of two things
1:51:55 happens you realize it's all
1:51:59 [ __ ] and it's like it's it's way
1:52:02 more work you know like you can make
1:52:04 money from things that sell while you're
1:52:06 not there but you're going to have to
1:52:08 put in a year or two to market the
1:52:10 [ __ ] thing for it to start generating

1:52:16 fig but you'll at least know the reality
1:52:17 of that and then you can say it's all

1:52:51 come up with the marketing thing come up
1:52:53 with the media plan come up with the
1:52:56 products put them on Gum Road or
1:52:58 wherever the [ __ ] they're going to
1:53:00 go and and just do if can you imagine
1:53:04 spending one week with chat gppt on a
1:53:06 single
1:53:08 subject so that that was what I was
1:53:10 talking about
