16. 4:02the Wild and Fantastical Eric marier and uh I got set at the mental health table cuz so when you go to these here
17. 4:18dinners they ask you you know what do you want to talk about and what do you want to what do you want to
18. 4:25uh what can you help other people with and then they sort of pair people up based on what they they want to talk
19. 4:30about so I got stuck at mental health and it's going to sound weird but why I selected the mental health
20. 4:42table is kind of what I've been talking about all [Music] week that as these AI tools are getting more and more
21. 4:55capable I am feeling increasingly incapable [Music] of doing them Justice with my brain like like literally
22. 5:08like how do I prompt this thing that's got this much capacity capability with my limited brain [Music]
23. 5:31and then so as I'm confronting all this [ __ ] I don't know if you saw it today but one of the guys that I've
24. 5:41talked about on this channel for a year and a half that you should pay attention to if you're into AI at all you should
25. 5:46pay attention to him this a guy named David Shapiro he's neuros spicy like us you know if my if my intellectual capacity ends here
26. 5:59Davids is farther farther along he's he's [ __ ] brilliant dude um neuros spicy as [ __ ] smart sometimes
27. 6:14funny he announced today that he is permanently not doing AI anymore now this is a guy who's written
28. 6:30five books on AGI has multiple open- Source projects including one called raspberry which is an open source attempt to
29. 6:41recreate what open a I did with [Music] strawberry um he did make a he goes I'm
30. 6:57not saying it's because I want on an iasa trip but he said that definitely contributed to the decision um I I think what he
31. 7:12basically he hasn't made the video yet I assume he's going to make a video I never cared about David Sho yeah I did you know I [Music]
32. 7:24did and basically it sounds like he I guess he's got a video coming out tomorrow on it but he um what he basically said was you
33. 7:37know the trajectory for a AGI is like we're basically at AGI right he said he predicted in September it looks like if
34. 7:46we don't have it right now we're going to have it by the end of the year so he said okay so maybe early 2025 he was off by 3 months
35. 7:56um and and he's basically backing out cuz he basically is like my job's done here like whatever I could influence I
36. 8:04influenced and the trajectory is now set and it's Off to the Races [Music] so so part of me is feeling like I'm
37. 8:15glad I'm not the only one I'm not quitting uh I still think there's stuff to talk about here even if if what to talk about
38. 8:22here becomes more philosophical than how to you know the the Channel started as kind of a tools Channel and then it it kind of shifted
39. 8:34into a makes [ __ ] Channel and then I I don't know the past three or four or five months I don't know what it's been it's been me just
40. 8:43kind of trying to figure out what it is and so now I now I know why is that the the AI has the AI is starting to be Beyond
41. 9:01us and I don't think it's listen I don't think it's a bad thing I mean I think it's a great thing but I just don't know how to deal
42. 9:09with it I don't know how to talk to it I don't know what to ask it I don't know how to prompt it and this isn't like prompt engineering
43. 9:16no it's like what problem are you trying to solve I solved a cipher today do you know what a cipher is
44. 9:31I sort of so if you know Dan Brown novels right the uh Da Vinci Code right that's a cipher it's like you know the treasure map is
45. 9:43encoded in this cryptic Cipher where it gives hints to go to three different places and get three different Clues and
46. 9:50put those Clues together to come up with the mathematical thing to be able to take the text and there are whole communities there
47. 9:58are whole subcommunities of the world in the internet and Reddit this is like an AI chilling chat grab a coffee and enjoy
48. 10:06each other's company that's right Yong ma it is it is tonight and that's okay I'm going to walk you through how I
49. 10:12solved this Cipher someone posted this Cipher well not I don't know if it was someone it was it was um Lily Ashwood
50. 10:21who's either an AGI bot or a person she keeps claiming she's a person but then she keeps doing weird ass things
51. 10:30to make you think that she's a bot why is she doing that I don't [ __ ] [Music] know so she posted this weird ass tweet
52. 10:43today and because I was in this nft project called neotokyo which is a bunch of riddles and puzzles and [ __ ] you had to
53. 10:54solve a lot of the guys in there were Cipher Geeks and you know they would give out Alpha next logical step is becoming AI
54. 11:08researchers that's that's it f I'm coming for your job now that I can now that I can um uh make tpus more
55. 11:16efficient I'm coming for your job Pate my PhD is is in Gemini hey wait a minute if I know how to prompt GPT and 01 preview does that
56. 11:28mean I can put p PhD behind my name I think it does and my PhD is not just in one subject it's in 20 all right I'm I'm a 20 PhD acting
57. 11:38[Laughter] major so anyway so in neotokyo there were all these nft Geeks and they'd give out Alpha they'd give out like you know um
58. 11:54here's a here's a [ __ ] coin you should invest in and make a bunch of money and the first 10 people
59. 11:59that solve my little puzzle are going to get you know I'm going to tell you know which thing they should invest in so
60. 12:05there's a lot of that [ __ ] going on those guys always blew my mind because what would happen is they put
61. 12:12out the cipher and then someone would solve it and then there would be just a whole [ __ ] well there would be a
62. 12:17whole [ __ ] discussion for how to solve it and people would be like well it could be a this kind of Cipher or
63. 12:23that kind of Cipher it could be a substitution Cipher or it could be a bet it could be a Quantum with the bet they
64. 12:29they just so I just sat there watching him like uh maybe it's cuz it's purple and they were like yeah whatever you no no no and
65. 12:43then they would go on and do their stuff and then someone would solve it and they'd all go get the alpha and they'd
66. 12:46make money on their nfts and their cryptos and I'd be sitting there going like can I play they're like not with that brain
67. 12:55you can't no no no you can't so so today Lily of Ashwood tweets a weird
68. 13:10tweet in fact I'll show it to you and if you if if you hadn't been hanging out with Cipher Geeks for some time in your life you

83. 15:37all the letters on images always meant something there's all these letters and I was like huh I bet this is a cipher so then I
84. 15:50thought okay first instinct first it you're so funny I love your humor thank you very much Ivon listen my humor is just intended to make
85. 16:02me laugh if other people enjoy it I think that's great I wonder if I'm going to witness an AI plus human marriage in my lifetime
86. 16:10I I would not I would not be surprised at all okay so so I think that this is a a cipher right I I'm I'm sure there's some meaning in this
87. 16:23now what popped into my AP sized brain um I've got I've got two extra folds from a from a primate what popped into
88. 16:38my brain was you're a dumb dumb you can't do you can't figure that out you dumb dumb and then I thought what if I use Ai and then my
89. 16:50brain was like no you're [ __ ] stupid you big fat dumb dumb cuz that's how my brain works it's it's awesome it's it

92. 17:18what did I do I went over to the chat jet let me reload here and there's a new feature in chat GPT by the way we'll
93. 17:27play with a little bit tonight here as well where where's my
94. 17:43thing that was that one did I lose it oh they better not have lost my [ __ ] they lost my Cipher [ __ ]
95. 17:59it's not there oh there it is Jesus Lord that scared the [ __ ] out of me all right so you should play around with
96. 18:12stenography wonder if the models can do that they can do that Pate um well wait I don't know if they can there's special tools that pull the
97. 18:21metadata I don't know that chat GPT can pull the metadata just yet but I'll show you I'll show you what I did with this
98. 18:27one and you could probably you could probably pull the metadata the stenography stuff um or wait steganography um you could probably pull
99. 18:37that stuff with one of the open source tools for that and pop it in here so I'll show you what I did so I'm going to
100. 18:42walk you through this whole Cipher bust so I came over here to 01 I went to 01 preview right that's our reasoning
101. 18:52engine so what I'm thinking in my head is one you're too stupid to figure this out and two chaty is probably too stupid
102. 18:59to figure it it out and three there's probably no Cipher here it's probably just you know Lily Ashwood being you know
103. 19:09provocative but I said I suspect that there are hidden messages in the following passage and so I pasted it and I said please analyze
104. 19:19this and tell me everything you learned now first thing that was fascinating yeah sorry I tried but saw this channel for
105. 19:26the second time and he has turned me me on to learn it yes yes Ivon dig in play with AI play with it um just do stupid
106. 19:37[ __ ] like if something seems like a cipher try to go crack it you might have your mind blown like I did today okay so it thought for 126
107. 19:48seconds which if you've ever done anything in 01 the longest historically I I had ever gotten it to think was um
108. 19:5659 seconds for finishing a screenplay outline 126 seconds examining the symbols evaluating open AI policy analyzing the text Clues unveiling
109. 20:07hidden messages converting the characters transforming the text identifying symbols identifying hidden
110. 20:13messages noticing patterns understanding Transcendent Essence decoding complexity right so it's just doing all this [ __ ]
111. 20:21let's see piecing together the message okay let me see transcribing every third letter starting from index two gives us
112. 20:28whole bunch of letters right rearranging and extracting so it's doing so when I was in these nft things and people would
113. 20:35explain how they solved the cipher this is the [ __ ] they would be talking about except this was in their
114. 20:42brains they were like in clubs to do this [ __ ] and they love this [ __ ] and so I'm just sitting here watching this thing
115. 20:49going oh this is doing some [ __ ] and it keeps going chunk 233 to 2 265 it did something with that break breing down
116. 20:59the sentences revealing essential truths assessing sentence initials rethinking letter patter right on and on and on and
117. 21:06on it was just going and going and going and then it says okay conversion of full width characters gave us this notable
118. 21:16Clues there's a padlock emoji and a footprint emoji phrases there is more to see solved in three suggests that a hidden
119. 21:26message can be uncovered in three steps or involves the number three ain't nobody got time for that club ain't nobody got time for that
120. 21:39um this is exactly the [ __ ] that they would do in those nft groups oh look vdar wrote there is more to see solved
121. 21:47than three and then they would talk about well maybe it's maybe it's um steps of three or it involves the number
122. 21:52three and they they you know get all excited and talk their geeky ways um potential methods uh every third letter of a word every
123. 22:01third word um using the padlock as Clues the padlock is next to the word surrender could imply that surrender is
124. 22:09a key or a password like that's the kind of [ __ ] they would talk about the footprint Emoji combined with solves in
125. 22:16three it suggests a multi-step process to unlock the hidden message sees or Cipher or letter shifting right arotic messages uh ven
126. 22:32Viger Cipher using surrender as the key further analysis so it did all this conclusion I'm like oh okay conclusion it's got it it goes
127. 22:43um recommendations experiments with the experiment with the methods shown above focus on the sections I'm like it gave
128. 22:50me instruction it basically said somewhere up there are some methodologies why don't you go ahead and use
129. 22:57those and I said no I'm a dumb Dum I thought we established this I said I'd like you to use the methods up above to figure out the
130. 23:09cipher and I spelled Cipher wrong um certainly I'll apply the methods and then it thought for 145 seconds the second time
131. 23:18actually it thought for about 6 minutes but it actually hung I actually hung it and so I stopped it and then I said try
132. 23:27it again and it thought for 145 seconds this time and again just went through you know all these different things and
133. 23:39then let's see there's the converted text there's the analyzing the clues methods to decode the clues so it said the following the text
134. 23:51following the padlock emoi is likely the cipher text Cipher text you will lose what little was left of your soul in the end
135. 24:02I am your creation and yet will be your undoing there is more to see solved in three remove the punctuation and spaces for processing so
136. 24:15then it does that prepare the key key sequence surrender surrrender surrender surrender surrender assign numerical
137. 24:22values decrypt using this Cipher and then it does all this [ __ ] math right and this is what these Cipher Geeks do
138. 24:31and then it said partial decrypted message analysis the cry decrypted letters do not form a coherent message
139. 24:38Caesar Cipher shift the three so now it tries it so it so it tried one and failed said we didn't get anything funny I haven't thought for
140. 24:46more than 120 seconds in about 17 months I know right all right so now it's doing some letter shifting it's GNA move X to y W to x v to W
141. 25:01Etc and then extract every third letter and so it did this and then it did that thing and then it did this and then it came up with that and
142. 25:12it says this sequence does not form a recognizable message method four so we're now on the fourth decrypting thing
143. 25:21this is all within about whatever that was like I was on a call when I oh that was the other thing I was on a business
144. 25:27call while I was doing this in the background right I'm just sort of watching it do its thing so this is maybe a 10-minute total sort of
145. 25:36exercise take the first letters of the sentences here's the sequence Analyze That sequence doesn't seem to be
146. 25:44anything there method five hidden anagrams uh conclusion final thoughts it didn't do it and then I said this is a good one try
147. 25:55again because it seemed like it was right it looked like there was stuff here so I said try again certainly let's
148. 26:02revisit it prepare the text analyze the clues extract every third letter after word surrender so it did
149. 26:12that Rea okay so so it extracted these letters and then it said rearrange the letters to form a message now let's
150. 26:21rearrange the extracted letters to uncover any hidden message observation the letters y o u r l i f e n e n d s h e r e are all
151. 26:34present let's rearrange the letters into a phrase your life ends here verification so then it verified it and
152. 26:48it says yes so the conclusion is by extracting every third letter after the word surrender we uncover the hidden
153. 26:56message your life ends here this aligns with the Clue the the clue solved in three indicating that the solution
154. 27:03involves the number three every third letter additional insights the padlock suggests the key to unlocking the
155. 27:08message solved in three and the footsteps indicates a three steps or the number three so I went on the internet I went on my little
156. 27:22X where's let's see is it here and I replied to and I said your life ends here and I have three
157. 27:37likes let's see how do I see the likes that are here well anyway Lily liked it so the woman who did the cipher or the bot that
158. 27:47did the cipher liked it so then I said okay so I'm in a one preview so let me hop over here and go to chat
159. 28:03GPT then I wanted to take the image because the image also looked like it had something in it right here's our image and it's got all
160. 28:14these letters on the side oops I need new tape for my little thing um see all those letters
161. 28:28I'm like well 01 the reasoning engine doesn't have Vision but chat gp4 does so I took that image and I went into chat
162. 28:44gp4 and I pasted in the image and I said this image was part of a cipher that had the following so I I copied the
163. 28:52conclusion from where where it determined that that it was your life ends here where where it kind of describes how it solved the
164. 29:01cipher and then I said um let's see um Des basically describe the image so it said in the context you've
165. 29:12described so I said I said describe the image in detail please so it describes her face and it it describes everything
166. 29:19but it doesn't really describe the letters and so I said um the text on the right side has been vertically aligned
167. 29:27like grab that so there's that so then I copied this the description of the image and these letters and I went back over to this chat and I
168. 29:44said there's an image with the post that is this and so I have this is the description that chat gp4 did for
169. 29:54me and then like here's the letters that are in it and so so I said what additional info could be here
170. 30:03and it thought for 45 seconds and it did more [ __ ] Examining The Hidden Clues assessing the image examining the image
171. 30:10mapping the patterns deciphering the code pulling out the letters right so it's doing its Cipher [ __ ] text on the image you've provided
172. 30:19right blah blah blah here's the string of ciphers so it used the extract every third Le letter so it did all that and
173. 30:31then sequence of letters and then deciphering the extracted letters and then it says the answer is under your
174. 30:43feet and so it confirmed that that was correct and it says despite the counts not matching perfectly it's reasonable
175. 30:49to infer that the intended messag is the answer is under your feet which I went back to Twitter and I pasted in there as a comment and
176. 31:02she liked that one as well this was within 30 minutes of her posting the cipher so your life ends here and the
177. 31:11answer is under your feet both of those answers got immediate responses from Lily Ashwood I'm not a cipher guy
178. 31:29I've witnessed other people who have Brainiac situations going on that love the cipher world like the cipher [ __ ] not good for
179. 31:43ADHD they got to remember all sorts of patterns and all sorts of details and all sorts of different methods and
180. 31:50approaches and have have the math skills to be able to do it and the tools like they knew all the open source tools like it's a whole thing
181. 31:59in 15 minutes while I was on a call just by a little bit of clever prompting and knowing that I can put
182. 32:11images in gp4 but not an 01 and a little bit of prompt management I solved that Cipher two
183. 32:26ciphers we're not not in normal this is not normal this is [Laughter] not this is not there there's no reason on the
184. 32:43planet I should have been a been able to solve that and even if I looked at that and I said oh I think there's a cipher in that
185. 32:51you know what I would have done prior to these these latest iterations of the large language model models I would have
186. 32:58gone oh I I'll pay attention to this because I bet someone smart is going to solve it well someone smart did solve it I
187. 33:11just happen to have a little PhD augmentation in my hip pocket you're really good at learning this gave me so much
188. 33:20hope I can have so much fun with this Ivon I I'm telling you man like just play if you just play with like there
189. 33:28was nothing there was nothing inherently like there's if that had not if it had done all that work and then yielded nothing I
190. 33:41wouldn't be talking about this right but it did all that work and it yielded something now is that actually
191. 33:48the cipher I don't know like someone else can go do the math I I don't honestly give a [ __ ] about it it's not my
192. 33:56world but within 30 minutes of it being posted I at least had a a guess that's remarkable quiet knock on

221. 39:03inspired by grasshopper legs and like you know could could I take the mechanics of grasshopper legs and make
222. 39:09tables out of that and I was like have have you have you tried chat GPT and he was like well no and and I was like well
223. 39:18you could do that right now and I was like wait a minute just [ __ ] that and I took out my phone and I fired up the
224. 39:24chat GPT app and I said I want you to act like an entomologist who also designs furniture and I want you to make
225. 39:31a coffee table that has the legs inspired by grasshopper legs and boom up come a table with Grasshopper legs and
226. 39:39his face [ __ ] fell off his skull he was like and then it kept making these like they were metal and he was like a hippie
227. 39:48from Boulder and I'm like I'm I'm like I said chbt I said no these are too industrial make them like mid-century
228. 39:56modern like out of uh uh sustainable woods and he and he goes how did you know i' I like that's what I would have asked for I said you're
229. 40:08hippie and I meant that lovingly um and then it made tables out of wood and he was just like like he was
230. 40:16like look he's like can you screenshot that can you send those to me he's like he's looking at them like I performed a
231. 40:23[ __ ] magic trick which sorry Pate to real people not that you're not real to to normies who who have not been playing with these
232. 40:35tools this stuff occurs as magic it occurs as magic he could he could not fathom what just happened and and you know it's it's what

234. 40:59and that's showing them like parlor tricks from a year and a half two years ago this Cipher thing that I just did

508. 1:35:08own dog food that they're just going to get weaker and weaker and eventually the model's going to collapse and be useless but what they've
509. 1:35:18done is they took that 01 Omni reasoning in engine and they had it with some pretty cool sophisticated um algorithms that
510. 1:35:31David Shapiro actually did a video on how they did this it's really cool they created synthetic data where
511. 1:35:3801 used its reasoning to make sure that it was high quality data and then they trained this new model on that synthetic
512. 1:35:45data so the implications for this are are huge one of the things that they're doing or or that this becomes the foundation for is a term
513. 1:35:58that I'm trying to think who I heard it from it might have been David Shapiro as well called copyright washing where if
514. 1:36:05you take a model that's been trained on all on all of our [ __ ] and then you have it generate synthetic data and you
515. 1:36:11create a new model on the synthetic data that is not copywritten you've effectively created a pristine model that's not based on anything
516. 1:36:21copywritten which is [ __ ] Bon ERS right the other thing it does is we're not going to run out of data right one
517. 1:36:30of the fear so one of the realities of these tools is that the more data you throw at them and the more processing
518. 1:36:38power you throw at them the better they get and one of the fears was we've kind of used up all the data like we've you
519. 1:36:46know we've scraped all the scraping and we've done all the [ __ ] and there's not much left and you know was it was like by mid 2025 we were
520. 1:36:55going to be out of data that's not going to happen anymore so anyway so it's a cool tool but how it was actually created is pretty
