4:13 and uh so I've I've sort of been there
4:17 at the beginning of one of these things
4:18 and sort of run it up and
4:21 um I didn't think I'd see another one in
4:22 my lifetime and then this generative AI
4:24 stuff came out and I'm like holy [ __ ]
4:26 here's another one
4:27 it's like the early days of the web but
4:29 faster and bigger and more profound
4:32 do you work for the NSA yeah absolutely
4:34 uh my name is gpt5 and uh I am uh I'm a
4:39 spook I'm a spook hence the black right
4:41 you see you see how this works so I'm
4:44 not even a human I'm a human
4:46 I'm one of the uh reptilians and uh
4:51 I don't know but my problem is I'm not
4:54 uh I'm not clued in enough to the
4:55 conspiracy theories to actually be able
4:57 to make fun like that

5:03 but what we do here is talk about AI so
5:06 if you've got if you've got comments
5:07 questions about AI pop them in the
5:09 comments below do my best to answer them
5:11 um if you're brand new to this stuff if
5:12 you have not played with chat GPT
5:15 and someone in your life is annoying the
5:17 [ __ ] out of you you should really try
5:19 Champion tea it's really amazing have
5:21 you used it you can make money with chat
5:22 every day all that [ __ ]
5:25 as annoying as all that is
5:28 um it really is worth trying and that's
5:29 kind of what this channel is about so
5:31 the reason I I have these things up on
5:33 screen that top one there
5:35 chat.openai.com that's the official chat
5:37 GPT website the two below it Claude and
5:40 Bing Bing is also gpt4
5:44 um but it's from Microsoft and it's
5:46 slightly different it's connected to the
5:47 internet
5:49 so it's got some redeeming qualities and
5:51 then there's Claude which is a
5:53 competitor to chat GPT and that's got
5:55 some really interesting qualities but if
5:56 you're brand new to this stuff just go
5:57 to the top one and if you're like but
6:00 Kyle I don't know what to do there it's
6:02 just a little box what do I ask it
6:06 um go here
6:07 go to prompts.chat that's why that
6:09 thing's there that's just a it it's just
6:11 a document someone made I don't know six
6:13 months ago it's not even that new but
6:15 it's just a good primer on how these
6:17 things work how to talk to them and it
6:19 gives you some prompts that allow you to
6:21 turn Chat CPT into a Persona like act
6:23 like a lawyer act like an accountant act
6:25 like a screenwriter act like a poet
6:27 whatever there's like hundreds of them
6:30 um and it'll just give you a sense of
6:32 how deep these tools are
6:35 um and I can I'm happy to answer
6:36 questions on those but but go do that so
6:38 those are those oh and by the way I
6:41 should be flipping this like this
6:44 so so you can actually see it sorry it
6:47 you know
6:48 I'm one of the um this is Elder talk so
6:51 I'm one of them older Fellers and and I
6:53 know we attracted an older audience so
6:56 you know us older people we can't see
6:58 the small text like them youngins can

7:37 things to play with
7:38 um Bard is Google's entry into this
7:41 world it's it's gotten better it was
7:43 embarrassingly bad for a while but
7:44 they've gotten it better and they've got
7:46 Gemini coming out which is apparently
7:48 supposed to be about 20 better than gpt4
7:52 I will believe it when I see it I think
7:55 that's horse hockey
7:57 but they're Google they got a lot of
7:59 money a lot of smart people so it's
8:01 possible it's going to be multimodal and
8:02 it's supposed to be better than gpt4
8:04 then uh perplexity AI is an interesting
8:07 site in and of itself but
8:09 labs.perplexity lets you play with with
8:11 meta's llama 2 models for free so you
8:15 can just go play with those Pi is is a
8:18 super conversational bot that um
8:26 a company called inflection
8:30 um that just raised 1.3 billion dollars
8:33 so that's going to be a player I
8:35 actually used Pi today and I'll tell you
8:37 why in this or what I did in a second
8:39 it's pretty good and then Poe is from
8:41 quora and and it's worth playing with
8:43 you're gonna make make Bots there it's
8:45 it's a good way to practice your
8:48 um prompt crafting okay so that's those
8:50 things these things
8:53 are
8:54 um if you want to make pretty pictures
8:57 you're like but Kyle I don't want to do
8:59 words I want to make pretty pictures I
9:01 heard I could make pretty pictures can I
9:03 make pretty pictures what do I do where
9:05 do I go all right these are the pretty
9:08 picture things
9:10 um if you want the best pretty picture
9:12 thing that's mid-journey right now some
9:14 will argue stable diffusion is getting
9:16 close I would argue not yet I mean it's
9:18 getting close it's just not there yet
9:21 um
9:22 Adobe Firefly is also pretty good as is
9:25 generative fill within Photoshop not not
9:28 nearly as good as mid Journey but it
9:30 hasn't been trained on copywritten uh
9:32 images so that's a plus
9:36 um Leonardo and clip drop are both front
9:38 ends on top of some stable diffusion
9:40 technology so Leonardo is basically just
9:42 a web front end for stable diffusion
9:44 it's kind of like a consumer version of
9:47 automatic 1111 if you've heard of that
9:50 um and then clip drop is from stability
9:52 AI it's just a whole series of tools
9:54 from the people that make stable
9:55 diffusion uh interesting stuff there
9:58 there's one that's like a you you sketch
10:00 something and then it'll make an image
10:02 based on your sketch even if you're a
10:04 crappy Sketcher and then prompt book
10:06 openart.ai prompt book that'll teach you
10:09 how to prompt these things it's designed
10:11 for stable diffusion but it's good for
10:13 all these and then futurepedia.io will
10:15 give you lots of lots of AI tools like 4
10:19 000 of them if you want to go geek out
10:20 and then the final little bit here
10:23 um the salon is a community I created
10:26 um to just anyone who's interested in in
10:28 you know sort of going on this AI
10:30 Adventure that's what the AI salons
10:32 about and this is the link tree for that
10:34 group we we there's a meet up there
10:36 where we meet every other week in person
10:39 here in Denver and then online as well
10:42 and we bring in speakers for example
10:44 last week we had
10:45 um John Knack from adobe's AI group
10:48 spoke at the salon that was really cool
10:51 um I wasn't there I was in New York
10:52 doing business business stuff with with
10:55 important clients uh and then storybine
10:59 is my company uh and that's my my social
11:01 tag

11:08 for dash Tick Tock uh so if you want to
11:11 see back of these I don't know why you
11:12 would but they're there and I'm trying
11:14 to figure out how to
11:15 create comments for them efficiently

11:52 more transparent about it okay so that's

18:00 not put a list and I was like oh wait
18:02 Pi's connected to the internet
18:04 and Pie's kind of Chatty so maybe Pyle

18:12 uh iPhone 14 pro said sure the primary

18:44 and they were good and then and then I
18:47 said while we're at it why don't you
18:49 tell me you know uh some of what some of
18:52 the settings are within the camera
18:54 software since I don't read manuals and
18:56 it went and told me all that stuff so
18:59 um yeah this this whole idea of not
19:01 using search engines but actually just
19:03 getting the answers like yeah yeah it's
19:07 good
19:08 and and you know again I imagine it
19:11 I I think we'll get to the point where
19:16 I don't know
19:19 I've I've never gotten to the point with
19:21 Siri or Alexa where I feel like
19:27 I wanna I wanna interact with the
19:29 computer in that way but I kind of feel
19:31 like with this stuff I might get there

22:53 not copying and pasting

22:57 though they've been trained on sort of
23:00 all of the public internet and
23:02 apparently some of the not public
23:03 internet

23:06 it's kind of the equivalent of you know
23:08 you go to college and you learn all this
23:10 stuff so you read all these books and
23:11 all these books are in your head and
23:13 then when someone asks you to write
23:14 something you kind of pull this mishmash
23:17 of knowledge out of your brain and and
23:19 compose the thing that's kind of the way
23:20 these things work they're literally
23:22 writing a word at a time GPT stands for
23:25 generative pre-trained Transformer
23:27 Transformers the technology pre-trained
23:30 means it was trained on other [ __ ] in
23:32 this case all of the internet generative
23:34 means it's generating one word at a time
23:37 in this probabilistic way
23:40 um that is original each time
23:43 um so it's not plagiarism any more than
23:46 you know you reading a book and writing
23:49 a book report on on it is plagiarism
23:51 it's not right if you copy someone
23:54 else's book report that's plagiarism
23:57 or if you try to publish a book that's
23:59 identical to the other one that's
24:01 plagiarism but this isn't that
24:03 um so I don't think so but if there's an
24:05 article there let me know if they are I
24:07 would like to see that

37:50 give you a little bit of background on
37:51 these two theories right so it's a
37:54 little chatty like like chat GPT will
37:56 just make you a table this wants to have
37:58 a little conversation but

38:02 you're using it in your car in Bluetooth
38:05 mode you're just kind of talking to this
38:07 thing that really talks back to you and
38:09 it's connected to the internet and it
38:10 can do all that so it's just like chat
38:12 GPT but you know a different flavor of

38:16 um and for me I think Pi kind of
38:18 represents where these things are
38:20 ultimately headed where they're going to
38:22 be much like much more like personal
38:24 assistance and agents that do things on
38:26 our behalf
38:28 you know kind of like imagine if Alexa
38:30 and Siri didn't suck
38:34 and you can just talk to them and you
38:36 can say hey let's play a game and it
38:37 would invent a game and just play a game
38:39 with you and then you can say I'm bored
38:40 with that game you know I you know I
38:43 feel like I need to talk about my
38:45 feelings and it'll just sort of flip
38:46 into you know psychologist mode

38:51 so so I feel like this is a glimpse into
38:53 into where this stuff's headed and and
38:55 that's why I think this one's important
38:57 they also just raised 1.3 billion
38:59 dollars 1.3 billion with a B dollars

40:30 search that's being done is just
40:34 it's just like a semantic search and a
40:36 branching logic tree so basically if
40:39 they ask about this product then respond
40:42 with this answer and and there are whole
40:44 agencies and whole companies
40:46 built around
40:48 manually creating these logic trees and
40:51 these conversation
40:54 trees I don't add another right word
40:57 just the this sort of
41:00 hand crafted bespoke
41:05 um conversation tree
41:07 and these things don't do that these
41:09 things actually answer you generative
41:11 GPT generative it's generating an answer
41:15 you don't need a copywriter to write I'm

48:21 now in order to run it you need to run a
48:25 Google collab notebook which is
48:29 a little geeky
48:31 so if you're not comfortable with the
48:33 geek stuff just you you can I'm sure
48:34 there's some YouTube videos on it
48:37 but what author GPT does is what what
48:39 it's it's actually relatively simple
48:42 what it's doing is it strung together a
48:44 series of chat GPT prompts and then it
48:47 concludes with a
48:49 um with a stable diffusion prompt and
48:52 then it's got some code to save all that
48:54 as an e-book so what it does is this
48:56 it asks you for a topic of the book it
49:00 asks you for a style of writing and then
49:03 it asks you for a number of chapters and
49:06 then you give it your open AI key and
49:08 you give it your stable diffusion key
49:09 the the API keys
49:12 and
49:14 then you hit go
49:17 and based on what you want it to be
49:20 about in the writing style it writes you
49:22 an outline it writes an outline and then
49:25 based on that outline it writes chapter
49:27 one
49:28 and then it takes the outline in chapter
49:30 one and uses that as an input to write
49:33 chapter two and it just keeps writing
49:35 chapters until it gets to the end of the
49:37 book and it also has a running sort of
49:39 calculator of how much it's costing you
49:41 so so it's like a buck or two it's like
49:44 a dollar or two and then when it gets
49:47 done writing the book it then takes the
49:49 book summarizes it and creates a stable
49:52 diffusion prompt for the cover art
49:55 and then it saves all that in ebook
49:59 format and you can open it right in
50:01 iBooks and from there you could publish
50:03 it
50:04 now
50:05 is it any good

50:08 like I've I've done two of them just to

50:15 the one where I tried to get really
50:16 intentional with it I wanted it to write

50:30 was actually not bad
50:32 um right now it's set up to write a
50:34 fiction book but it's the kind of thing
50:35 where you can see all of the the guy's
50:37 prompts so you could go rewrite it to
50:39 you could you could change all the
50:41 prompts to make it some other kind of
50:42 book
50:43 you can do a non-fiction book you could
50:45 do a business book you can do children's
50:46 books so that's a project you could also
50:50 do it with chat GPT
50:51 what you might want to do is do it with
50:54 Claude because Claude has a 70 000 token
50:57 context window which means you could
50:59 take a 50 000 word novel and paste it
51:02 into Claude so you could you could take
51:05 a novel and say
51:07 um I want to keep the same basic plot
51:10 elements but I want I want to switch the
51:12 genders of the two main characters I
51:15 want to set it in Sicily in the 1940s
51:18 instead of
51:20 you know instead of uh the main
51:23 character having a job I want the main
51:25 character to be in the mob
51:29 and just give me the uh give me the
51:32 outline and now give me the first
51:34 chapter based on the chapter of that one
51:36 you could do that all in Claude right
51:38 now

1:24:00 whatever it was nine seconds or 20

1:58:54 to like understand it enough to like
1:58:56 talk about it right I I've got to
1:58:59 internalize it right
1:59:00 and once I internalized the World Wide
1:59:02 Web once I got what it was
1:59:05 it was actually quite simple

1:59:09 you have documents on computers and with
1:59:11 these things called hyperlinks
1:59:13 you can jump from one document to
1:59:16 another
1:59:18 it's like okay
1:59:21 and then
1:59:23 you could do that on a local machine so
1:59:26 I could jump from
1:59:27 this letter here to this report here on
1:59:33 my hard drive but then if you connected
1:59:35 to them to the internet now I could jump
1:59:37 from this computer to that computer a
1:59:40 document on this computer to a document
1:59:42 on that computer
1:59:44 that's relatively straightforward and
1:59:46 you can kind of play that out and you
1:59:47 could go okay so all computers in the
1:59:50 world are going to be connected to this
1:59:51 thing all documents are going to be
1:59:53 interconnected let's assume a document
1:59:56 is more than just text it's going to be
1:59:59 pictures which we know are a waste of
2:00:01 time as we've learned tonight it's going
2:00:03 to be pictures it's going to be sound
2:00:04 it's going to be movies
2:00:07 okay so all of these media files are
2:00:10 going to be interconnected and they can
2:00:12 be anywhere in the world instantly
2:00:15 okay got it
2:00:18 and you could kind of see how that would
2:00:21 play out in the future
2:00:23 and I can't do that with this stuff like
2:00:26 I get what it is but
2:00:30 like
2:00:34 this is not just producing a document
2:00:37 this is writing and executing code
2:00:41 if you have it do that right if you use
2:00:44 code interpreter and you say analyze
2:00:46 this data
2:00:48 and it goes okay and it takes a 50
2:00:52 megabyte
2:00:53 Excel file full of data even if that
2:00:56 data is messy and not cleaned up
2:00:59 and it goes it appears to be this kind
2:01:01 of data let me
2:01:03 take all that data clean it up and put
2:01:06 it in a data table that I understand and
2:01:09 then look at some of the trends within
2:01:11 it and then it looks at those Trends and
2:01:13 then it makes you a [ __ ] chart of the
2:01:15 trends in the data that no one knew what
2:01:18 was in there
2:01:19 you know three minutes before
2:01:24 there are entire Industries built around
2:01:28 that capability
2:01:33 what happens to them
2:01:39 like that's the thing I don't get like
2:01:42 it's a thing I can't get my head around
2:01:43 and so it's it's why this Channel and I
2:01:47 think a lot of
2:01:49 people right now sound [ __ ] insane
2:01:52 you can make money with chat gbt it's
2:01:53 going to be the greatest thing ever then

2:03:43 Apple website or I would have gone to

2:09:30 Ableton to put the beat together so he
2:09:32 did some manually editing with it but it
2:09:34 looks like uberduck dot AI is the one

2:09:40 here's the prompt that I gave Chachi BT
2:09:47 so he explains how he did it there and
2:09:49 there's probably there's the the famous
2:09:51 Drake and weekend song that got banned

2:09:56 and I know that there was a a tweet or
2:09:58 two that talked about how they made that
2:10:00 as well so that that should that should
