19. 3:57uh my uh my background is uh as an entrepreneur and uh and and uh kind of an early adopter of Technologies
20. 4:06throughout my career I was a founder of agency.com back in the mid 90s in the early days of the World Wide Web
21. 4:12and uh so I've I've sort of been there at the beginning of one of these things and sort of run it up and
22. 4:21um I didn't think I'd see another one in my lifetime and then this generative AI stuff came out and I'm like holy [ __ ] here's another one
23. 4:27it's like the early days of the web but faster and bigger and more profound do you work for the NSA yeah absolutely
24. 4:34uh my name is gpt5 and uh I am uh I'm a spook I'm a spook hence the black right you see you see how this works so I'm
25. 4:44not even a human I'm a human I'm one of the uh reptilians and uh I don't know but my problem is I'm not uh I'm not clued in enough to the
26. 4:55conspiracy theories to actually be able to make fun like that that's clueless um but what we do here is talk about AI so

28. 5:10um if you're brand new to this stuff if you have not played with chat GPT and someone in your life is annoying the
29. 5:16[ __ ] out of you you should really try Champion tea it's really amazing have you used it you can make money with chat
30. 5:22every day all that [ __ ] as annoying as all that is um it really is worth trying and that's kind of what this channel is about so
31. 5:30the reason I I have these things up on screen that top one there chat.openai.com that's the official chat
32. 5:37GPT website the two below it Claude and Bing Bing is also gpt4 um but it's from Microsoft and it's slightly different it's connected to the
33. 5:47internet so it's got some redeeming qualities and then there's Claude which is a competitor to chat GPT and that's got
34. 5:54some really interesting qualities but if you're brand new to this stuff just go to the top one and if you're like but
35. 5:59Kyle I don't know what to do there it's just a little box what do I ask it um go here go to prompts.chat that's why that
36. 6:08thing's there that's just a it it's just a document someone made I don't know six months ago it's not even that new but
37. 6:14it's just a good primer on how these things work how to talk to them and it gives you some prompts that allow you to
38. 6:21turn Chat CPT into a Persona like act like a lawyer act like an accountant act like a screenwriter act like a poet
39. 6:27whatever there's like hundreds of them um and it'll just give you a sense of how deep these tools are um and I can I'm happy to answer
40. 6:36questions on those but but go do that so those are those oh and by the way I should be flipping this like this
41. 6:43so so you can actually see it sorry it you know I'm one of the um this is Elder talk so I'm one of them older Fellers and and I
42. 6:53know we attracted an older audience so you know us older people we can't see the small text like them youngins can
43. 7:00so assuming you don't have your magnifying glass out there's that feel free to screenshot that if you're on a a Samsung

45. 7:19screenshot this there I'll do this again later um or I think if you go out of the live but it's you're still watching the live in

47. 7:34have used chat GPT and want some other things to play with um Bard is Google's entry into this world it's it's gotten better it was
48. 7:42embarrassingly bad for a while but they've gotten it better and they've got Gemini coming out which is apparently
49. 7:48supposed to be about 20 better than gpt4 I will believe it when I see it I think that's horse hockey but they're Google they got a lot of
50. 7:58money a lot of smart people so it's possible it's going to be multimodal and it's supposed to be better than gpt4
51. 8:04then uh perplexity AI is an interesting site in and of itself but labs.perplexity lets you play with with
52. 8:11meta's llama 2 models for free so you can just go play with those Pi is is a super conversational bot that um
53. 8:25a company called inflection um that just raised 1.3 billion dollars so that's going to be a player I
54. 8:35actually used Pi today and I'll tell you why in this or what I did in a second it's pretty good and then Poe is from
55. 8:40quora and and it's worth playing with you're gonna make make Bots there it's it's a good way to practice your
56. 8:47um prompt crafting okay so that's those things these things are um if you want to make pretty pictures
57. 8:56you're like but Kyle I don't want to do words I want to make pretty pictures I heard I could make pretty pictures can I
58. 9:02make pretty pictures what do I do where do I go all right these are the pretty picture things um if you want the best pretty picture
59. 9:12thing that's mid-journey right now some will argue stable diffusion is getting close I would argue not yet I mean it's
60. 9:18getting close it's just not there yet um Adobe Firefly is also pretty good as is generative fill within Photoshop not not
61. 9:27nearly as good as mid Journey but it hasn't been trained on copywritten uh images so that's a plus um Leonardo and clip drop are both front
62. 9:37ends on top of some stable diffusion technology so Leonardo is basically just a web front end for stable diffusion
63. 9:44it's kind of like a consumer version of automatic 1111 if you've heard of that um and then clip drop is from stability
64. 9:51AI it's just a whole series of tools from the people that make stable diffusion uh interesting stuff there
65. 9:58there's one that's like a you you sketch something and then it'll make an image based on your sketch even if you're a
66. 10:03crappy Sketcher and then prompt book openart.ai prompt book that'll teach you how to prompt these things it's designed
67. 10:11for stable diffusion but it's good for all these and then futurepedia.io will give you lots of lots of AI tools like 4
68. 10:18000 of them if you want to go geek out and then the final little bit here um the salon is a community I created
69. 10:25um to just anyone who's interested in in you know sort of going on this AI Adventure that's what the AI salons
70. 10:32about and this is the link tree for that group we we there's a meet up there where we meet every other week in person
71. 10:38here in Denver and then online as well and we bring in speakers for example last week we had um John Knack from adobe's AI group
72. 10:47spoke at the salon that was really cool um I wasn't there I was in New York doing business business stuff with with
73. 10:55important clients uh and then storybine is my company uh and that's my my social tag um I am archiving these lives at a
74. 11:05YouTube channel AI learning lab Dash TT for dash Tick Tock uh so if you want to see back of these I don't know why you
75. 11:12would but they're there and I'm trying to figure out how to create comments for them efficiently using Ai and then the final little piece
76. 11:20oh Jolly Old scammers Jolly mccassels I've reported them again today and haven't heard anything back from yield Tick Tock
77. 11:29um this is how I spell AI learning lab this is how the scammer spells AI learning lab they are they've copied my content
78. 11:39um they've copied the name obviously and they are reaching out to subscribers of this Channel and asking them to join a
79. 11:45multi-level marketing theme or scheme uh I would not do that I would ask you to join a pyramid scheme I would be much

118. 17:34Bing because it's my default um search engine now I said you know uh like what are the specs for the i14 Pro cameras
119. 17:46and like all these sites came up and I clicked on like three of them and they were all like these long editorials with
120. 17:53all sorts of ads and [ __ ] in it and I'm like on my third site and I'm like oh [ __ ] can I not just can someone just
121. 18:00not put a list and I was like oh wait Pi's connected to the internet and Pie's kind of Chatty so maybe Pyle
122. 18:06just tell me what's going on so I said hey pie can you tell me about the the cameras and the uh iPhone 14 pro said sure the primary
123. 18:15sensors the 48 megapixel sensor the wide angle sensors are 12 megapixel sensors I'm like well you know which one which sensor is used
124. 18:27for like 1X 2X and 3X in the in the software and it said oh well the 1X is the 48 megapixel sensor and the 2X and
125. 18:353X use the 12 because whatever reason it's clear and they're zooming in and whatever the hell it was doing
126. 18:42um but it was just like instant answers and they were good and then and then I said while we're at it why don't you
127. 18:49tell me you know uh some of what some of the settings are within the camera software since I don't read manuals and
128. 18:55it went and told me all that stuff so um yeah this this whole idea of not using search engines but actually just
129. 19:03getting the answers like yeah yeah it's good and and you know again I imagine it I I think we'll get to the point where I don't know
130. 19:18I've I've never gotten to the point with Siri or Alexa where I feel like I wanna I wanna interact with the
131. 19:28computer in that way but I kind of feel like with this stuff I might get there but I don't know I'm not sure yet

151. 22:48but the way so so Captain's lit the way these large language models work they're not copying and pasting they
152. 22:57though they've been trained on sort of all of the public internet and apparently some of the not public internet um
153. 23:05it's kind of the equivalent of you know you go to college and you learn all this stuff so you read all these books and
154. 23:11all these books are in your head and then when someone asks you to write something you kind of pull this mishmash
155. 23:16of knowledge out of your brain and and compose the thing that's kind of the way these things work they're literally
156. 23:22writing a word at a time GPT stands for generative pre-trained Transformer Transformers the technology pre-trained
157. 23:29means it was trained on other [ __ ] in this case all of the internet generative means it's generating one word at a time
158. 23:36in this probabilistic way um that is original each time um so it's not plagiarism any more than you know you reading a book and writing
159. 23:49a book report on on it is plagiarism it's not right if you copy someone else's book report that's plagiarism
160. 23:57or if you try to publish a book that's identical to the other one that's plagiarism but this isn't that
161. 24:02um so I don't think so but if there's an article there let me know if they are I would like to see that

166. 24:55something in there about how to how to pull the seed out of mid-journey because it's it's at a Discord I think you have
167. 25:01to like hit the envelope or you have to hit one of the icons it's a pain in the ass um so you could do it with a seed
168. 25:08um you could also do it with the with the upload function so you could take your photo download it then you upload it back into
169. 25:18um I don't know if it was generated in mid Journey you can just right click the image and get the URL here let me show you [Music]

191. 29:49so so dang it how do I get the seed number of an image in Discord for mid-journey you dumb dumb

222. 36:29then like when you ask it stuff like why is the sky blue you get like this little green bar and it sort of Twirls around
223. 36:39um so pies just like chat gbt um it's from a different company it's a company called inflection the thing about the the app you can do
224. 36:49this on the desktop but it's it's not as intuitive but on your phone with the PI app um you can put it into conversation mode
225. 36:57so in the lower right hand corner you you pop up the little menu and you click on the telephone icon and it puts
226. 37:05it into voice mode and so you ask it with your voice and it answers with its voice and so you're actually just kind
227. 37:11of having a conversation with this chat GPT like thing it's very much designed for conversation it's not like if you want to do research
228. 37:21like like if I wanted to do um you know uh let's let's see um create a table comparing um quantum mechanics and theory of
229. 37:37relativity let's see what it does okay I can definitely create a table before I do though I should probably
230. 37:49give you a little bit of background on these two theories right so it's a little chatty like like chat GPT will
231. 37:56just make you a table this wants to have a little conversation but when you're in conversation mode like if
232. 38:02you're using it in your car in Bluetooth mode you're just kind of talking to this thing that really talks back to you and
233. 38:08it's connected to the internet and it can do all that so it's just like chat GPT but you know a different flavor of it
234. 38:15um and for me I think Pi kind of represents where these things are ultimately headed where they're going to
235. 38:22be much like much more like personal assistance and agents that do things on our behalf you know kind of like imagine if Alexa
236. 38:30and Siri didn't suck and you can just talk to them and you can say hey let's play a game and it would invent a game and just play a game
237. 38:38with you and then you can say I'm bored with that game you know I you know I feel like I need to talk about my

292. 48:30so if you're not comfortable with the geek stuff just you you can I'm sure there's some YouTube videos on it
293. 48:36but what author GPT does is what what it's it's actually relatively simple what it's doing is it strung together a
294. 48:44series of chat GPT prompts and then it concludes with a um with a stable diffusion prompt and then it's got some code to save all that
295. 48:54as an e-book so what it does is this it asks you for a topic of the book it asks you for a style of writing and then
296. 49:03it asks you for a number of chapters and then you give it your open AI key and you give it your stable diffusion key the the API keys and
297. 49:13then you hit go and based on what you want it to be about in the writing style it writes you an outline it writes an outline and then
298. 49:24based on that outline it writes chapter one and then it takes the outline in chapter one and uses that as an input to write
299. 49:32chapter two and it just keeps writing chapters until it gets to the end of the book and it also has a running sort of
300. 49:39calculator of how much it's costing you so so it's like a buck or two it's like a dollar or two and then when it gets
301. 49:46done writing the book it then takes the book summarizes it and creates a stable diffusion prompt for the cover art
302. 49:55and then it saves all that in ebook format and you can open it right in iBooks and from there you could publish it now is it any good yeah
303. 50:08like I've I've done two of them just to see um the one where I tried to get really intentional with it I wanted it to write
304. 50:17like Tom Robbins who wrote still life with woodpecker I I love his sort of play with language and it didn't it didn't quite do it good but

308. 50:46books so that's a project you could also do it with chat GPT what you might want to do is do it with
309. 50:53Claude because Claude has a 70 000 token context window which means you could take a 50 000 word novel and paste it
310. 51:02into Claude so you could you could take a novel and say um I want to keep the same basic plot elements but I want I want to switch the

312. 51:23character having a job I want the main character to be in the mob and just give me the uh give me the outline and now give me the first

499. 1:24:06can use that but in that case you're literally copying someone else's content and pasting it into yours that's not how these tools work
500. 1:24:18they've been trained on all that [ __ ] and that's where the gray area is and what Sarah's claiming is that depending
501. 1:24:24on how she prompts it she can get it to give an exact quote from her book but is that can she get the exact quote

648. 1:50:14going to get really good at text and then I think the video stuff is going to get much more predictable and not flickery
649. 1:50:23um and I think these things are going to get much more multimodal so I feel like we're we're kind of in the quiet before the storm

929. 2:38:05so you've got assistant is um they used to call this doesn't matter they used to call it something else they now call it a system
930. 2:38:16this is their large language model so they are quora so you remember the site quora the question answer site
931. 2:38:24they're the ones that that created Poe that's their model um you've got Claude instant Claude instant 100K and Claude 2 100k
932. 2:38:37so think Claude instant is uh the equip anthropics equivalent of chat GPT 3.5 probably closer to three
933. 2:38:47but chat GPT 3.5 Claude instant 100K is um like chat GPD 3.5 except it has a hundred thousand token context window
934. 2:39:01which basically means you can put up to 75 000 words in the prompt or you can have really long do you know in chat GPT when you're
935. 2:39:09talking you have a long conversation and all of a sudden it seems to forget what you were talking about and it just loses its [ __ ] mind
936. 2:39:15that's because your conversation the early part of your conversation went out of its context window it's only got
937. 2:39:21about 3 000 words that it can actively keep in memory Claude has like 75 000 words that can actively keep in memory so that's a big deal
938. 2:39:30Claude 2 is the equivalent anthropics you know mere competitor to gpt4 so think regular Claude is 3.5 Claude 2 is like
939. 2:39:44gpt4 it also has a hundred thousand token context window that's a big deal but you have to pay for Claude instant and
940. 2:39:55Claude 2 on Poe but you can just go to claude.ai and you get Claude to 100K for free anyway so all of the clawed ones are kind of
941. 2:40:06irrelevant because you can go to cloud.i AI for free and then you've got chat GPT that's 3.5 so that's the original one
942. 2:40:12it's faster but it's not as good and then you have gpt4 and you've you've got to pay for that I wouldn't pay for that here
