0:39 Hamilton welcome everybody happy
0:43 Saturday night it's Saturday Night Live
0:46 Hamilton T-shirt oh yeah mathas what's
0:50 happening good to see you sir right on
0:53 time I know I was just out at
0:58 uh where was I spoke at the AI I Peaks
1:01 conference today did a little keynote
1:03 action there that was cool and then uh
1:07 had a little emergency running around to
1:09 do did that and then I went back had a
1:12 beer with the AIP Peaks
1:14 folks and then I said I gotta leave cuz
1:17 I got to go to Tik Tock live I got I
1:20 people are waiting for
1:24 me are you selling legendary marketer or
1:27 Master resale rights not yet but we are
1:31 going to start a pyramid scheme in here
1:34 if it we're going to do it we're going
1:35 to do it we're going to absolutely
1:37 destroy people's lives in here somewhere
1:39 between a cult and a pyramid scheme the
1:41 AI learning lab we're it's we've we've
1:44 got our aspirations we know our North
1:45 Star we know what we want to do we want
1:47 to take people out fantastic Bob tell
1:51 him what he's won you can make
1:55 money honest to God if we started
1:58 selling golden buttons in here split the
2:00 the
2:01 profits telling you we could do this
2:03 thing we could do
2:04 it no all right I guess we'll just keep
2:09 doing infotainment
2:12 then that that cool look at this cool
2:15 lunchbox thing from Ted Ted looks at
2:19 life did that last night he did a whole
2:20 bunch of images he did a whole bunch of
2:22 these things there's the the AI learning
2:24 lab varsity
2:28 jacket that's cute ice cream truck the
2:32 beer with the robot hand who doesn't
2:35 hang their shirts inside the dryer with
2:37 a hanger I
2:41 do turtles playing
2:44 poker yeah baby we got it going on in
2:48 here so all right let's see what are we
2:52 doing um welcome everybody got a lot of
2:55 folks here happy Saturday night my name
2:56 is Kyle shanon this is the AI learning
2:59 lab what we do here you you're like kle
3:01 doesn't look like a lab where's your
3:04 white coat you're a scientist right
3:06 please tell me you're a scientist no no
3:09 no I'm trying to think if I've ever
3:11 played a scientist I don't think I
3:15 have but uh we talk about AI
3:18 stuff we have fun that's kind of one of
3:21 the prerequisites here it's like be
3:24 curious be adventurous have a sense of
3:27 humor be smart be smart ass bitter you
3:33 betcha um and and that's what we kind of
3:35 do if you ask questions in the comments
3:37 below I'll answer them I'll walk you
3:39 through where to get started with this
3:40 AI stuff if you're like but Kyle I don't
3:42 know where to start you know I'm not
3:44 very technical but I hear this AI stuff
3:46 is going to be if you're like that we
3:49 got you covered we'll get you
3:52 handled we
3:54 will see look oh that was here was
3:57 charts and graphs from my little talk
3:59 today here's a fun one I I'll I'll show
4:02 this
4:06 one I got to do this in a window hang on
4:10 in window
4:12 play so this was from the the talk that
4:15 I gave but hours
4:18 ago so I was talking about
4:23 how back in
4:26 February trying to think where this is
4:27 going to play right yeah right there
4:30 back in
4:32 February
4:34 um I did this synthesized voice thing of
4:39 someone telling their health care story
4:41 and I put it in my story Vine software
4:44 and then last month this [ __ ] showed up
4:47 and so this was the slide that I did so
4:49 the the left half is Italy the right
4:51 half is China so I did this so we've
4:55 heard from a number of clients that
4:56 modular content is important to them
4:58 getting more efficient with how we
5:00 create content and how we leverage
5:09 content uh behind me you see these
5:11 little green boxes um that's how we
5:13 think about stories at Story vine we
5:14 break stories down into little atoms
5:17 right little
5:27 modules so I stop it right there and I'm
5:29 like okay so that was cool but I didn't
5:33 know I also spoke
5:35 [Music]
5:58 Mandarin
6:00 story V and then I followed that up with
6:04 this but is it real is this actually
6:06 good Chinese is Kyle talking Mandarin
6:10 using Ai and what he wanted to know is
6:12 what does a native speaker think let's
6:13 find
6:17 out that was Kyle yeah King is really
6:22 good he talking about AI some story
6:25 something yeah yeah okay well it was AI
6:28 yeah it was AI it was AI it was AI yeah
6:31 it wasn't him oh he's AI yeah
6:34 interesting isn't it see Kyle he didn't
6:37 even
6:38 realize so that was that was part of my
6:42 part of my presentation but anyway while
6:44 I got while I got keynote open
6:47 here why don't we flip over
6:51 to isn't that a cool image that's a
6:54 dolly3 image about one of the values of
6:57 the AI
6:58 salon and then I need my Tick Tock live
7:04 deck what did you say Kyle deck deck d e
7:10 e is an Edward CK Why morning from South
7:15 Africa hey Rudy half a sleep here at
7:18 4:09 a.m. dude go back to
7:21 bed you made uh some cool stuff in the
7:24 salon thanks for doing that the other
7:28 night those uh those are cool um anyway
7:33 okay so if you're here and you're like C
7:38 cow cow where do I start what do I do
7:40 what do you recommend here's where you
7:42 start you start with chat.
7:45 open.com that's the official chat gbt
7:48 website just go there these other things
7:50 these are like the big four I call this
7:52 the adults table these are the big four
7:54 they're not going anywhere um I Heard
7:57 tonight from three different people who
8:00 go Google has a uh a campus in Boulder
8:04 so the the event that I spoke at is in
8:07 Boulder and I talked to three different
8:09 people tonight who have played with
8:12 Gemini and they said it's really flipp
8:14 and remarkable so that's that's going to
8:16 be coming out within sometime in October
8:19 so b.google.r
8:24 I still don't believe
8:27 them but even if it's a good as chat gbt
8:30 4 it's going to be good so those are
8:32 your top four this is the kids table so
8:35 these are the next ones down um piie is
8:38 really good at conversational chat
8:42 gping um I'm already starting to use
8:44 chat GPT like zerox like even though
8:46 that's someone's technology these are
8:48 all chat GPT to me there's different
8:50 flavors of
8:51 it which you know Sam Alman Sam Sam you
8:55 know he's already jealous of me so uh so
8:58 if I disparage his company too much here
9:00 we got to be careful but it's all right
9:03 um labs. perplexity really interesting
9:08 U and then po.com
9:11 uh decent worth worth looking at worth
9:14 exploring um these are the image
9:16 generation tools so Dolly
9:19 3 is the new um kit on the block that's
9:22 really good um until something else
9:25 unseed it I'm feeling so irregular
9:29 tonight I know I'm a little well I'm
9:31 just a little tired cuz I've been I've
9:32 been on all day you know when you have a
9:34 speaking Gig if you do if you do
9:36 speaking gigs you you get amped up for
9:38 it and then being an
9:41 ADHD um I finished the presentation this
9:44 morning at 10:00 a.m. and then drove to
9:46 Boulder checked my tech setup and then
9:49 sat around for two hours letting my
9:50 adrenaline
9:52 drain and then ramped it back up for the
9:56 talk so I'm a little crispy but but yeah
9:59 yeah I'm a little irregular too anyway
10:02 these are the things the the uh the the
10:05 image Generation stuff that I think are
10:06 worth paying attention to so screenshot
10:09 that and then um here's another one uh
10:12 someone Bradley Bradley from the AI
10:15 Salon gave me a good idea tonight is to
10:18 uh just do like a just put these all on
10:21 a on a link
10:23 tree I should really just do that but
10:26 whatever uh go ahead and screenshot this
10:28 these are your your video your video
10:30 tools the the um translations that I
10:34 just showed in that other in that other
10:35 Deck with the the Italian and and the
10:38 Mandarin Chinese that's he Jen that's
10:40 second one on this list and then here
10:43 are people that you should pay attention
10:45 to uh as well as a couple of directory
10:48 sites so these two sites are directories
10:50 of AI tools and then Ethan mullik David
10:53 Shapiro and Paul rer all Wicked smart
10:57 Wicked worth following and then finally
11:00 the AI Salon the thing in the middle
11:01 there that's uh the community that I
11:04 started last December if you're curious
11:06 about AI I want to join a bunch of other
11:08 Irregulars that are that are weird about
11:11 this stuff go there join that we meet
11:13 every other week um I think you know
11:17 someone said yesterday Sherry I think
11:23 said that the um Discord link was
11:28 expired
11:31 let me see if it is the
11:37 salon. Discord
11:42 Community looks like it's okay for me
11:44 but it might be because I'm already a
11:46 member of the community I don't know
11:49 which I AI app could fill in a map for
11:52 me if I upload a
11:55 map
11:57 um you could prob probably do that with
12:00 mid Journey with with just kind of
12:02 uploading an image as a source and
12:07 then and then describing how you want it
12:10 filled
12:17 in I don't know that might it depends
12:20 how you want it filled in like do you
12:22 want it turned into art do you want it
12:24 filled in with like you know the bumper
12:28 crop of each stti
12:29 you know like one of those old
12:31 agriculture Maps might be that might be
12:33 something worth worth going and
12:35 exploring let's
12:37 go let's go US
12:41 map State
12:44 outlines see if we can get a yeah there
12:46 we
12:47 go
12:51 imagees all right perfect that's perfect
12:54 look at that we got one we're going to
12:56 save image
12:58 as so I'll show you how to do this in
13:00 mid Journey if you don't know mid
13:02 Journey it's a bit of a pain in ass cuz
13:04 it's uh the US um because you have to do
13:08 it in Discord but whatever you can you
13:12 can learn get curious you can learn so
13:14 what we're going to do is I'm going to
13:16 go into the AI Salon which is where we
13:19 are here so this is Discord if you
13:20 haven't seen Discord before these are
13:22 all different communities every little
13:24 circle over here is a different
13:25 Community this is the AI Salon that I
13:27 just talked about and then here's the
13:29 discussions within the AI salon and down
13:32 in here
13:35 somewhere uh where is it there it is is
13:37 mid Journey play so it's a mid Journey
13:39 channel so we can go make stuff so
13:41 people are in here making
13:43 stuff oh someone used uh the describe
13:47 function which is
13:49 cool Claire's in here making cool art
13:52 she's been killing it she's been making
13:53 really cool art in here look at some of
13:55 this
13:56 stuff beautiful all right
13:59 so what we're going to do the the way
14:01 this works generally is if you want to
14:03 make something wow there was a lot there
14:05 that I hadn't seen
14:08 woo there's a lot going on people
14:12 nice all right so to make an image you
14:15 type slash
14:18 imagine and then you fill in a prompt
14:21 right so that's that's generally how
14:23 this stuff
14:24 works and but but we're not going to do
14:27 that right now because we want to use
14:28 this image as a source so what we're
14:31 going to do is this we are going
14:33 to no that's not right we're going to
14:36 upload that state image that we just
14:40 grabbed off the web upload a
14:47 file all right so there's our little
14:49 Mappy
14:51 map and we're going to hit return and
14:55 you're like Kyle this seems like a
14:56 convoluted process well yes so now I'm
15:00 going to rightclick or if you're on a
15:02 Mac control click the map and we're
15:04 going to copy the link to this
15:11 image well apparently we're
15:14 not come
15:16 on ah all right discord's being a poop
15:20 head so we're GNA there's another way to
15:22 do this we'll go open this in a browser
15:24 we'll go copy the URL from
15:28 there
15:30 oh it looks like their servers are down
15:31 is Discord down what's happening
15:35 people they're being hacked they're
15:37 being hacked discord's being hacked go
15:40 tell everyone run
15:44 run is the site really laggy am I late I
15:48 am ao's wife yes you're very
15:51 late somebody give me a fire Emoji for
15:54 the United States map that's just rude
15:56 okay here we go okay so I'm going to
15:58 copy the link link to this now I'm going
16:00 to do SL
16:02 imagine like we do before and what you
16:05 do is you paste in the URL for that
16:08 thing and then we're going to say
16:11 map of the
16:16 United States
16:19 with the state animal in
16:24 each
16:26 state as a CH
16:29 children's
16:31 book
16:33 illustration style and I know you're
16:35 saying like Kyle that's not good
16:37 English listen some people have a way
16:39 with words other
16:41 people not have way I guess you'd say uh
16:45 old Steve Martin joke
16:49 classic and then we'll see what it does
16:52 now is is there a chance that I really
16:55 don't know what I'm doing and I'm going
16:57 to screw this up and have horrible
16:59 results absolutely um if this is
17:01 something you want to do here's a way to
17:04 do it um look it's filling [ __ ] in and
17:07 if you've never seen mid Journey before
17:08 the fact that it starts out as these
17:10 blurry images and then is getting a
17:11 little bit more detailed each time
17:13 that's a normal thing it's part of the
17:16 diffusion model it's sort of den noising
17:18 the image as it
17:20 goes it looks like we've got Shadow for
17:23 animals in there it'll be interesting if
17:25 it actually puts details on oh it looks
17:27 like it's doing it
17:30 boom there we go look at that we filled
17:33 in the
17:36 states
17:38 um I kind of like this chalk boardy one
17:41 that's kind of cool isn't it so so now
17:42 let me show you something here so when
17:46 you do a thing in mid Journey you have
17:48 these these four U one through four and
17:51 then V one through four what's that
17:53 stand for Kyle oh don't you wish I'd
17:55 tell
17:57 you yeah actually we do could could you
17:59 just tell us and stop stop being such a
18:03 smart smart
18:04 alec I could jeez getting a little testy
18:09 over there aren't you you know uh so U
18:13 stands for upscale v stands for
18:15 variation so if you if if this is
18:17 looking decent but you're like it's not
18:18 quite right you can just hit V like V4
18:21 and it's 1 2 34 so I'm going to hit
18:25 V4 and then I'm going to hit uh let's
18:28 just upscale one and we'll hit V3 as
18:31 well cuz that one's kind of cool so now
18:34 we're going to have one that's bigger
18:35 and we're going to have four more of
18:37 each of the bottom
18:43 two isn't this wild how this gets this
18:46 like glowing shape around it and then as
18:48 it refines it that kind of goes away
18:50 it's
18:51 fascinating fascinating how this stuff
18:53 works people you know what I mean you
18:55 know what I mean you know do you know
18:57 you know do you know you know you know
18:59 you know oh that one's cool too all
19:02 right I think we're going to have
19:03 something there there's our big map now
19:08 are those good animals no does some of
19:11 these animals like this animal have like
19:14 17 legs yes there's five legs there's
19:18 five legs there's three legs um there's
19:23 genetically conjoined twin pine trees
19:26 here's an amoeba with stilts
19:32 you I didn't say it would be good but
19:35 you know jet Brandon I got Dolly 3 last
19:38 night at 11:55 p.m. I've been on it
19:40 since yeah Source Camp I know I you know
19:43 what's funny I've gotten like two or
19:45 three messages from people on the Tik
19:47 Tok channel that are like I haven't
19:49 slept I didn't sleep last night CU I got
19:51 access to Dolly 3 it's really [ __ ]
19:56 funny um oh these are are kind of cool I
19:59 like the one on the bottom left I like
20:01 the one on the top right so oh that was
20:04 the one we had
20:07 before oh yeah there's that one that's
20:10 nice this one's a little better doesn't
20:12 have all the millipede kind of animals
20:14 on it although what's the Pennsylvania
20:17 state animal is that some some sort of
20:19 rock sculpture of a
20:21 [Laughter]
20:25 fish anyway that's that's a way to do
20:29 that there's probably 462 ways that you
20:31 can fill in a map
20:34 um the question then becomes how
20:37 predictable do you want it to be if you
20:39 want it to be really predictable AI is
20:41 probably not your choice maybe with DOI
20:44 you could do something but I don't think
20:46 there's a a good way to upload an image
20:48 a source image for do right now um it's
20:52 better at prompt coherence like you
20:54 could tell it's specific things to put
20:56 in the States but doing the this
20:58 predictably I'd say just go grab clip
21:01 art of whatever you want filled in the
21:03 states and do it that way so anyway all
21:06 right from here it looks like the N
21:07 Nevada llama it does well this is the
21:10 Nevada Lama that must have been the
21:11 other image cuz that's a a pine tree
21:18 [Music]
21:19 there uh anything else I want to
21:22 show yeah there's all sorts of cool [ __ ]
21:26 you can do after you upscale stuff you
21:27 can zoom out you can pan left and right
21:30 you can do all sorts of cool stuff
21:32 anyway
21:34 okay
21:35 um beauty beauty beauty beauty so
21:39 welcome everybody do me a favor I
21:41 haven't asked this yet if you would
21:42 share the live uh with your with your
21:44 channels just let people know that
21:47 you're irregular that you're just not
21:48 right why why why did you share that
21:51 live with that that older gentleman
21:53 talking about artificial intelligence
21:56 that seemed I seemed very inappropriate
21:58 I'm a little triggered you know I'm
22:00 sensitive about this stuff right so even
22:03 though you're going to get that kind of
22:04 feedback share it tap the tap the like
22:07 button um follow the channel if you
22:09 would I would love to get some more
22:11 people in here following along cuz you
22:13 know I put in a lot of time into this
22:16 thing and I and the whole purpose of
22:18 this is to get people up to speed on AI
22:22 and excited about it and all that sort
22:24 of stuff so the more people we have in
22:25 here the better you know for starting a
22:27 pyramid scheme if you know what I mean
22:30 you need a lot of people if you know
22:32 what I
22:34 mean all right kyl is the man I would
22:37 have never known without him nice team
22:40 no sleep in the house sleep is so
22:42 [Laughter]
22:46 80s oh
22:49 nice AI learning lab the king it's
22:54 intoxicating oh man all right
22:59 let's see what questions we got if you
23:00 have questions about AI pop them in the
23:02 comments below um we have mods in here
23:04 that will will'll pin stuff to the top
23:06 if it's if it's interesting I also try
23:08 to go through and answer as many of
23:09 these as I can love the visual playing
23:13 cards yeah those are
23:19 cool and look it's it's you can't really
23:22 see it but it was like a i l e and then
23:24 the a is really teeny learning lab
23:28 what's a good tool for building
23:33 presentations I there there's there's
23:36 one out there called to
23:39 T oh man I got to drink more water
23:43 my my my vocal cords they've been a
23:46 little shredded today if you know what I
23:48 mean no we don't know what you mean Kyle
23:50 what are you talking
23:52 about
23:55 uh let me get you the URL for tone they
23:58 all have different top level domains
24:01 hang on T to.app that's it
24:05 right yeah so if you go to Tom
24:09 to.app
24:11 a um that's got a presentation builder
24:14 in
24:15 it here's the deal with the presentation
24:18 Builders November 1st is the launch of
24:22 Microsoft co-pilot for Office
24:26 365 so autoc creating presentations
24:30 within PowerPoint is about to be a
24:33 reality I wouldn't spend a ton of time
24:36 or any money on any of these third party
24:39 things right now until that comes out
24:41 and we see if it's any
24:43 good if it's what I suspect it will be
24:46 which is
24:48 good then I'd just go in PowerPoint and
24:51 pay your 30 bucks a month to to have
24:53 access to you know Auto
24:56 powerpointing um because you can go like
24:59 like what's going to happen with
25:00 co-pilot is you'll be able to be in a
25:01 Word document and say turn this annual
25:04 report into a PowerPoint presentation
25:06 and it'll just do it and generate the
25:07 images and all that and it's going to
25:08 have Dolly 3 embedded in it it's going
25:10 to be slickered and [ __ ] now is it
25:14 possible that they hose it and and
25:17 release a horrible piece of software
25:20 sure I mean the the Google um B
25:24 integration into their office product
25:27 right Now sucks ass it's horrible it's
25:30 not it's not even worth talking about
25:32 but I think the Microsoft one's going to
25:34 be good but you know that's just me
25:36 being an optimist I'm forever an
25:38 optimist if you know what I mean except
25:41 for when everyone else is
25:43 wrong then they should just
25:47 suffer
25:48 um yeah so that's that so I don't know I
25:51 don't know that world well here's the
25:52 other thing um chat gp4 or any of the
25:56 large language models but particular
25:58 particularly chat
25:59 gp4
26:01 um tell it the topic give it a lot of
26:03 context here's what I want to write a
26:05 presentation on here's the audience
26:07 here's the this here's the that here's
26:09 the
26:10 tone give me an outline for a
26:12 presentation and tell it if you want a
26:14 15 slide presentation or a 20 slide
26:16 presentation or a three slide
26:17 presentation give it the context and
26:20 then if you do it in GPT
26:24 4 you're in control you're writing the
26:26 prompt the problem with to and any tool
26:29 like toome is that some someone some
26:34 engineer somewhere in a company wrote
26:36 The Prompt for that presentation
26:38 generating tool and what I found is that
26:42 while it generates a
26:45 presentation It generally doesn't
26:47 generate a presentation the way I want
26:50 it and so because it's generated all the
26:53 pictures and the this and the that the
26:55 the editing of the imperfect pre
26:58 presentation becomes longer than just if
27:00 you'd have written it by scratch written
27:02 it from scratch written it by scratch
27:05 I'm listen people it's Saturday night
27:07 and my brain's a little fried okay stop
27:10 picking on me I'm Harry
27:13 carry um I may have
27:17 mess oh I may have messed with your
27:19 animal Maps good play with my play with
27:22 the animal maps go do what you need to
27:24 do I love
27:27 it oh yeah look at that oh that's super
27:30 cool polar Android oh those are cool I
27:34 like it oh those are really
27:36 cool
27:38 huh yeah check these things
27:42 out he uploaded that map and then did
27:45 some sort of 3D
27:47 brass Brass Bull Turtle llama thing and
27:52 it's got the map embedded in it that's
27:53 pretty slick I like it I like it I prove
27:58 but look at the hair tonight I got some
28:00 that's some serious puff action going
28:05 on oh man I'm punch drunk I'm punch
28:09 drunk people but I'm not drunk
28:13 drunk welcome to Chad
28:16 add all right how'd your keynote go it
28:20 went really well it went really well I
28:22 had to run out of there cuz there was
28:24 kind of a family emergency thing
28:25 everything's fine but I had to R out of
28:28 there so I didn't get to talk to a ton
28:29 of people but then I went back to to
28:31 hang out with them later and people
28:33 seemed really pleased with it I was
28:34 pleased with it I think they recorded it
28:36 but I don't know um but I talked about
28:42 um the early days of the web and how
28:44 that compares to what's going on with
28:46 now like what's been my journey through
28:48 you know discovering this stuff and then
28:50 I
28:51 showed um some of the things like the
28:54 image generation and I and I talked
28:56 about um
28:58 my um the idea that that I that hit me
29:03 that the 10,000 hour rule is dead that
29:06 you no longer need to take three or four
29:08 years to master a new skill you can just
29:12 get up to speed in like a month or two
29:14 and see if you like it or not and then
29:17 if you want to dig deeper then you can
29:18 spend it three years but you don't have
29:19 to like go back to school to get a new
29:21 skill because of because of AI so I
29:24 talked about that and then I you know
29:26 what I did I basically did what I do on
29:28 the lives here um and I did it live in
29:31 the presentation so so I said I said um
29:36 I I said the 10,000 hour rule thing that
29:38 that you can just learn about [ __ ] you
29:39 know nothing about so I said to the
29:41 audience you know who's got some obscure
29:45 topic I should know nothing about or or
29:47 has a business that's you know really
29:48 really specific and someone said like
29:51 waste uh like like food
29:54 waste optimization or something like
29:56 that like it was just some obscure
29:58 obscure thing and so I I had it on chat
30:01 GPT 3.5 so it'd be really fast and so I
30:05 said okay explain what this is to me and
30:07 then oh wait user Pi is great for convo
30:10 but lies in order to please you and
30:12 agrees with factually wrong stuff I say
30:15 yeah Pi P right now is is a bit of a
30:18 kiss ass I agree with that so anyway so
30:21 I I asked it you know what this thing
30:23 was and it gave me 12 different
30:25 categories within that sector and then I
30:27 picked one and I said oh this is good
30:30 explain this to me and it explained it
30:32 and I said okay I want to turn that into
30:34 um a company and it came up with a
30:36 company name and then a tagline and then
30:38 I had it write a creative brief for a
30:40 logo and then we flipped over to Del and
30:44 I pasted in the creative brief that it
30:46 generated and I said make me a logo and
30:49 it made a logo and there there are a
30:51 number of people in the audience having
30:53 Kevin McAllister moments like I saw I
30:55 saw four or five people that were like
30:58 like physically you know not
31:01 metaphorically
31:02 like so that was cool that was cool and
31:06 then I showed him chatty GPT right so I
31:08 showed him the
31:11 um the the chat GPT version of Pi right
31:16 this this
31:21 dude tell me about
31:24 sourcing extra food from restaurants
31:31 of
31:35 course sourcing extra food from
31:37 restaurants refers to the practice so I
31:39 did that so there what was cool was
31:42 because it was in
31:43 Boulder there was one person in the
31:45 audience who hadn't used chat gbt it was
31:48 a very educated audience and so I
31:50 thought oh [ __ ] this this talk is like
31:53 it it's it's really designed for people
31:55 who you know haven't really played with
31:57 this this that much and I had I had I
32:00 had two different guys come up to me
32:02 afterwards like I've been in I've been
32:04 in this business for 30 years like you
32:07 showed me some stuff I haven't seen
32:08 before I was like
32:10 yes it was it was a tough crowd three
32:13 years ago I felt obsolete in my old
32:15 industry now I feel like I'm starting to
32:17 lap others that's it Source Camp that's
32:23 it everyone everyone everyone on this
32:26 channel right now share share this live
32:28 if you haven't done it let's get some
32:29 more people in here everyone who's
32:32 willing to be a little weird right now
32:35 like for the next 12 months you're going
32:37 to be a [ __ ]
32:38 weirdo we've we've
32:41 rebranded weirdness in this channel
32:44 we're just
32:46 irregular so you're going to be
32:48 irregular for the next year you're going
32:49 to be talking about this stuff and
32:51 people are going to be like stop why do
32:53 you always talk about this AI stuff
32:56 Kathy
32:58 come on Kathy I don't want to hear it
33:00 anymore no can I tell you this cool
33:02 thing I discovered no Kathy you want
33:06 another
33:08 spritzer so so your best friend Betty
33:12 she's going to treat you weird you
33:14 just lean in you accept it you're
33:18 irregular and then what's going to
33:20 happen is what's happening to Source
33:21 camp and what's happening to a lot of
33:23 people in this channel is they're going
33:25 [ __ ] it and and they're playing with AI
33:27 and they're talking about it and then
33:29 people in their companies are
33:30 recognizing that they
33:33 leaders in figuring this [ __ ] out and as
33:36 the company tips from we'll never
33:38 [ __ ] use it to well I guess it's okay
33:41 for some people to huh that's
33:44 interesting to uh [ __ ] does anybody know
33:47 how to do this cuz they're all doing
33:50 that they're all doing that right
33:53 now we'll never use it oh maybe okay oh
33:57 my God we need to use
33:59 it you'll be there Kyle you said AI fact
34:04 Checkers were dead faulty but if edu
34:06 still use them isn't
34:09 it
34:13 legitimization it's
34:15 legitimization
34:16 of a flawed
34:20 assumption so here's the here's the
34:22 flawed assumption
34:24 tonius so what you got to go out
34:28 what What's your deal why are you
34:29 whining you don't normally whine this
34:31 early did nobody let you out you got to
34:34 go pee peee no all right let me just do
34:38 the I'll make the point on the education
34:39 stuff for tonius so so in the education
34:42 stuff the problem with fact Checkers
34:47 that the you know the the the chat
34:50 GPT um um
34:53 detectors is they they're wrong a lot
34:58 they they are biased against non-native
35:02 English-speaking people like like they
35:04 they um ding them
35:07 more um and it it's just not good um so
35:11 so they just don't work but but here's
35:12 the real flawed assumption what they
35:14 kind of assume is that writing with AI
35:18 is something that you do 100% off to the
35:22 side right like like they they kind of
35:24 assume doing your schoolwork the old
35:27 fashioned way is good and then asking a
35:31 robot to do your homework is
35:34 cheating that's not how people use large
35:36 language models for the most part for
35:38 the most part they don't just say write
35:40 me a term paper on gingas con what you
35:43 do is you're like okay I want to write a
35:45 turn paper on gas Kong let me do a
35:47 little research over here on chat GPT
35:49 okay let me go Google that let me copy
35:51 and paste some of that [ __ ] into a word
35:52 dock okay let me go do this let me go do
35:54 right it's it's it's a much more
35:57 sophisticated interaction if if you've
36:00 used this it's not a [ __ ] Google
36:02 search and so the universities that are
36:05 still blocking this [ __ ] or like oh it's
36:07 just cheating they just put in one
36:09 prompt and get out of paper no it's not
36:11 how it works so when when chat GPT gets
36:15 rolled into Office 365 when it's inside
36:18 Microsoft
36:20 Word you know the the these these like
36:23 chat GPT Checkers from my from where I
36:26 sit are the equivalent of saying we've
36:29 got a technology that can tell if you
36:31 used a grammar corrector or not please
36:34 take champy I know I got to go champ
36:36 Champ's got to go pee you ready champy
36:38 I'll be back you guys entertain yourself
36:40 figure out what's on my
36:43 walls come on
36:46 buddy come on
36:48 buddy come
36:56 on
37:26 for
37:56 e
38:19 all right did you entertain yourselves
38:20 while I was out yeah look at all the
38:22 hearty Hearts
38:26 going
38:27 um
38:29 okay we're back good Lord the hair's
38:31 getting taller what's
38:35 happening I guess we can have a tapon
38:38 exactly all right I'm back you can you
38:40 can rest your carpal
38:42 tunnels let me get Discord back up over
38:46 here let me get back in your regulars
38:50 Channel see if anyone
38:53 is oh that one's cute Ted look at what
38:56 Ted
38:57 [Laughter]
39:04 did that's
39:07 comedy you
39:09 know we're not that far from that
39:13 future you know that
39:19 right it's just
39:21 weird isn't it weird what's going on
39:25 right now Ethan mullik has a good
39:26 YouTube series series I'm using Ai and
39:28 educational students teachers yeah yeah
39:30 cuno um really good point so so any
39:33 anyone here that's interested in the
39:35 educational stuff follow Ethan mullik
39:38 he's written a really powerful piece on
39:40 on these chat GPT detectors and why they
39:43 don't work why you shouldn't use them
39:45 what you should do instead he's really
39:48 articulate on it he's written pieces on
39:50 it it sounds like there's a YouTube
39:51 series on it follow that the fact that
39:55 the fact that schools right now now I
39:57 spoke at a school a month ago
40:01 that they they they weren't using chat
40:03 GPT detectors they weren't talking about
40:06 AI at
40:08 all they invited me to come speak on AI
40:11 for their public
40:13 policy
40:15 school and they're not using AI at all
40:19 they're not talking about
40:22 it I'm like that's [ __ ]
40:25 irresponsible
40:28 like [ __ ] talk about you know at a
40:30 minimum like have a policy against chat
40:33 GPT right at a minimum have a point of
40:35 view on
40:37 it jeez G willikers you dumb Dums right
40:41 champy right champy dumb
40:45 dubs oh Ted looks at life is very
40:48 talented I know he's been killing it
40:49 with the images he's got some prompting
40:51 going on take the dog out Kyle oh that's
40:54 so
40:55 mean
40:57 the animal lovers were like you you make
41:00 the dog your priority you
41:04 Heathen he's happy
41:09 now
41:11 oh the the battles I get in over what's
41:16 an appropriate amount of people F food
41:18 for the
41:25 dog it's pretty much that
41:30 conversation oh that's really funny okay
41:33 let's see what else we got here I will
41:36 attend every night until I can connect
41:38 these dots you know what Mary Mary
41:40 awesome thank
41:43 you I'm doing these every night because
41:47 I'm trying to connect the dots like this
41:50 is this is a lot it this is a lot a lot
41:56 is
41:57 it's it's overwhelming on a personal
42:00 level it's overwhelming on an
42:01 intellectual level it's overwhelming on
42:04 a professional level it's overwhelming
42:06 on an ADHD
42:09 level like you know the the neuros
42:12 spices that are in here that that you
42:14 know the the plastic the the laminated C
42:17 card carrying members of the add Club in
42:21 here you know this this stuff is
42:27 it's a bit like crack cuz there's so
42:28 much of it but it's like even with ADD
42:31 it's
42:33 overwhelming and like very few things
42:36 for me are are over well there's a lot
42:38 of things that are overwhelming but like
42:39 like if if I'm passionate about
42:41 something and I want to learn something
42:43 like there's not a lot that's like
42:45 completely
42:46 overwhelming this is this
42:48 is a lot it's a lot so yeah and and
42:54 that's that's the point of these is just
42:56 to
42:57 the one of one of the one of the things
42:59 that I sometimes struggle with
43:04 is
43:06 talking like what do I talk about do I
43:08 talk about the very beginning like
43:10 here's how to use chat GPT or do I talk
43:12 about more advanced things cuz some
43:14 people come here a lot so I worry that
43:17 sometimes I'm saying the same things
43:18 over and over again and people might not
43:20 get it but I also realize you know not
43:22 everyone's sitting here for 3 hours like
43:24 I am right you know you come in for 10
43:26 minutes here 10 minutes there 2 minutes
43:28 here um so so not everyone's catching
43:31 everything and
43:33 also like like I don't I don't really
43:36 know yet
43:39 um what it means that we can generate
43:42 images inside chat GPT and chat GPT can
43:46 see right and now it can talk and you
43:50 can talk to
43:51 it and it can code with its code
43:54 interpreter thing right like
43:57 I haven't explored that barely at all
43:59 like I got it I'm really excited about
44:01 it as soon as I get it I show it to you
44:04 guys but like I haven't spent 4 hours
44:07 kicking the tires
44:08 on you know just just running down a
44:11 rabbit hole with one of these tools I
44:13 like when you show us new things and new
44:15 ways to use them because it's hard to
44:17 keep up yeah that's cool just just me
44:19 and the trees 10 out of 10 on the name
44:21 love the
44:22 name um yeah is there anything new I can
44:27 show you we've been looking for you
44:38 llama all right so those of you those of
44:41 you that are playing with Dolly and
44:42 dumping stuff into the Discord um that's
44:45 really funny
44:48 um someone someone made a gummy bear
44:50 joke tonight I think we need to add
44:52 gummies so in in the the AI learning lab
44:56 zoo I now think we should have hedgehogs
44:58 Turtles llamas and gummy bears I think
45:01 adding gummy bears to the mix is a is a
45:03 solid addition so if if you're up to if
45:06 you're up for it Tobias I actually
45:09 spawned a line of t-shirt graphics this
45:12 morning using Dolly 3 crazy now how to
45:17 trademark a phrase well just register it
45:21 with the trademark
45:23 office I guess
45:27 don't tell them you used AI what are
45:29 they going to do hunt you
45:31 down but Kyle that's not
45:36 ethical
45:39 whatever I think the whole intellectual
45:42 property landscape is going to just it's
45:45 it's going to be like quicksand for the
45:46 next 20 years so I'm a little Zen about
45:49 it right
45:54 now but that's pretty cool I don't
45:56 understand how to take a poll I really
45:58 need one to five
46:03 directions uh we are fan crushing we are
46:06 here for the full three hours awesome
46:08 Becky you're the best hi good to see
46:14 you oh thanks if I pinned that I didn't
46:17 mean to oh that's okay no you didn't pin
46:21 that that was one of the mods in here
46:22 pinned it because um it was a good
46:25 comment so yeah and plus you have a cool
46:27 name just me and the trees solid name
46:31 solid name I like it here's you want to
46:34 suggestion on improving it I would go
46:36 capital M on
46:37 me and the and then just capital T on
46:41 trees it'll make it E easier to read if
46:43 you camel camel case it the me and the
46:47 trees capitalized will make it easier to
46:49 read but it's a great name maybe some
46:51 night we could go over a few Biz cases
46:54 on how companies are using gen that's
46:56 not a bad idea
47:00 actually I mean you know what might be
47:02 interesting cuno is and this is
47:04 something that we could maybe um we
47:07 could coordinate in the the Irregulars
47:09 channel on Discord is it might be fun
47:12 some night to have you and um thonus or
47:17 whoever's in in big companies that are
47:19 that are doing something where the
47:21 company's doing something pop you up on
47:24 stage and talk about what's going on in
47:25 your company I thought we got 4 hours on
47:31 Saturday Amelia's wife you're the best
47:34 here let's em Amelia's wife you know
47:38 she'll she'll kind of Step Up with this
47:40 this little these little Snappy comments
47:42 here if we don't show her special
47:44 Graphics so this is for you man I got I
47:48 got so many Graphics now this the
47:51 problem with infinite content creation
47:53 isn't it poll oh let me start this
47:56 okay I started the poll there you
47:59 go all right go take that poll oh see I
48:03 don't know how Tik Tok works okay so for
48:06 for you those of you modding I get a
48:09 thing that shows me the poll and I can
48:10 say start poll and then I say start pull
48:12 and then it shows up on my screen for
48:14 like two seconds and then it goes away
48:17 it I don't know how that works for the
48:19 rest of people
48:21 here all right started click that
48:27 I started a poll five minutes ago well
48:30 all right I don't know are there is
48:32 there a place where you go see polls I
48:34 listen I
48:38 just let's go back to Amelia's wife yes
48:40 you're late but here's your
48:48 graphic and all right it's not going to
48:51 be four hours tonight I am a flipping
48:54 toasted puppy oh lunar stick with the
48:58 gummy bear wearing the Hamilton
49:01 tuxedo that's [ __ ]
49:07 awesome that's like the you know what's
49:09 amazing about that here let me start the
49:11 poll go all right that's the hey
49:15 Kool-Aid that's the Kool-Aid guy's face
49:18 on a gummy bear that looks kind of like
49:20 Winnie the
49:21 Pooh isn't that great that's really
49:25 awesome
49:26 God man I just it's just remarkable what
49:30 world we're living in oh
49:43 here's you know that's that's something
49:49 that you know something's hitting me
49:51 right
49:55 now when I when I thought about like
49:57 image generation conceptually I thought
49:59 well there's there's artists making art
50:02 right and then there's graphic artists
50:04 making art for business and you know
50:07 they're sort of business artists and
50:08 then there's and then there's hobbyists
50:10 and they're selling stuff on Etsy and
50:12 it's it's all this very serious it's
50:14 like we're making art and then
50:15 generative AI comes along and everyone
50:17 gets pissed off and they're like oh oh
50:19 no the artists are going to you know and
50:21 the artists are all pissed off and
50:22 they're like they're stealing my [ __ ]
50:25 and because it's all this serious stuff
50:26 and like don't get me wrong there's
50:28 livelihood [ __ ] I get that but like one
50:30 of the things that's starting to hit me
50:32 is what's happening here with the images
50:34 that are being generated during these
50:35 lives is they're just kind of for Joy
50:39 like they're just like like yeah we
50:40 could turn it into a t-shirt but it's
50:42 just like am I late you know someone
50:44 made that graphic and I dumped it in
50:46 there it's like beautiful right they're
50:49 just there for
50:50 Joy like I I had never really thought
50:53 about generative AI
50:56 as
50:58 entertainment and that's kind of what's
51:00 starting to happen with I mean it just
51:02 in in this little sort of microcosm of
51:04 what we're playing with here with these
51:07 images oh that one's beautiful lunar
51:09 stick look at that one that's [ __ ]
51:16 gorgeous I mean Isn't that cool like
51:20 just like it's
51:23 entertainment huh
51:27 I think this does good things in the
51:30 world you
51:35 know as we're learning a tool that can
51:39 help us professionally and can help us
51:41 you can make
51:43 Mone we can actually have fun while
51:45 we're doing it and connect with each
51:47 other as humans while we're doing it and
51:49 learn together and explore together and
51:54 experiment It staves Off depression
51:56 that's for sure yeah because you know
51:59 there's like the it's there's that
52:01 really basic That Base like Bas meaning
52:06 fundamental human need to contribute to
52:10 express
52:11 yourself and it's kind of like this what
52:14 the a what the AI does is it it removes
52:17 the friction to self-
52:22 expression and especially when we're
52:24 doing this kind of fun thing where we've
52:25 got some inside jokes and and you know
52:28 we've got some people who are here
52:29 regularly and and we we have places to
52:32 share this
52:34 stuff I mean this really starts to
52:38 become I don't know it's like a
52:40 different level of Engagement it's
52:42 really cool 22 hours with D3 and every
52:45 piece of art I see I'm thinking I could
52:47 do that better oh that's well there you
52:49 go listen if you're good at Art yeah I I
52:52 mean for for me the speed of the art is
52:55 is the thing and and if you're a really
52:57 accomplished digital artist every one of
53:00 these things is going to be like here
53:01 are the 17 things wrong with this like
53:04 every piece of artwork is like one of
53:05 those things find what's wrong here oh
53:08 three kneecaps yeah that's not right so
53:11 yeah I totally get you but again Source
53:14 Camp don't
53:15 forget these tools are as bad as they're
53:18 ever going to be they only get better
53:20 from here so that's the other thing
53:22 about this and and and again that's
53:24 that's where
53:28 if it seems like I have a high tolerance
53:30 of forgiveness for these very flawed
53:33 janky piece of [ __ ] tools it's because I
53:36 don't really put much weight in where
53:39 they are right now I'm looking at every
53:41 one of these tools as okay play that out
53:45 3 years play that out 18 months where's
53:47 it going to be where was image
53:49 generation 18 months
53:51 ago the images were laughably bad of
53:55 abundance abundance mindset versus lack
53:58 exactly Sher
54:00 Banks yeah I think the I think the
54:02 paranoia was if there's too much art
54:05 it's going to take away from artists cuz
54:08 right but but you're right the we we're
54:10 in an abundance mind well this makes an
54:14 abundance mindset
54:17 possible
54:24 start look at all these images it's
54:28 amazing that's one of my favorites that
54:30 was a Ted that's a Ted special the AI
54:33 learning lab pizza and then it says Kyle
54:35 delivers on the
54:36 bottom what AI software can help with
54:39 one color t-shirt designs um any of them
54:42 really you just say
54:43 monochrome you just say monochrome here
54:46 let's let's I'll go show you Dolly
54:47 within chat GPT because it's so cool but
54:50 you can go to if you want to go right
54:52 now just to um bing.com SLC create um
54:57 what's your name edgy pour oh pour off
55:00 t-shirts so you're a t-shirt guy so just
55:03 go to um bing.com create and type in
55:08 monochrome t-shirt
55:11 design uh and let's go to chat gbt and
55:14 do the same thing so some people in here
55:18 have access to Dolly 3 some people don't
55:20 if you don't so if you pay for chat GPT
55:24 plus you will be getting access to Dolly
55:27 3 um I have access to it some people in
55:30 here have access to it some people don't
55:32 the ones that don't are bitter oh are
55:35 they bitter they're jealous they're
55:37 bitter they're Petty they're more Petty
55:40 than Siri when I talk to
55:43 Bing it's it's that bad so anyway so if
55:47 you don't have it you know just have a
55:49 cam of meal tea okay all right so now
55:53 we're in now we're in Dolly 3 so let's
55:55 see
55:57 [Applause]
55:59 um I'm a T-shirt designer that works
56:02 primarily in silk screens and love
56:05 monochrome prints
56:07 period I want you to help me come up
56:10 with t-shirt designs that are bold and
56:16 graphic and are a stylized version of
56:21 animals so the first thing I'd like you
56:23 to do is come up with a list of 10
56:25 animals and also
56:30 include hedgehogs
56:32 Turtles
56:34 llamas and gummy
56:42 bears all right hedgehogs Turtles llamas
56:44 gummy bears elephants Ravens
56:48 kangaroos um octopuses rhinos and owls
56:52 now would you like me to make graphic
56:54 designs based on these animal animal for
56:55 potential t-shirts which ones would you
56:57 like to start with I think we have to
56:59 start with the classic let's start with
57:01 turtles give me four different styles
57:04 that are monochrome
57:06 graphic and
57:11 Innovative and so what's happening now
57:14 behind the scenes they used to show it
57:16 writing the prompts they're not doing
57:17 that anymore which I kind of miss but
57:19 whatever um so chat GPT is now off
57:24 writing its own prompts and doing it in
57:27 the context of this larger conversation
57:29 I just had so it's sort of taking all of
57:31 that into account and now it's going to
57:33 write up and now it's going to generate
57:35 these things so boom there you go now
57:39 are these are these high resolution
57:41 enough to be on t-shirts no they're not
57:43 but you can use a tool like topaz
57:46 Labs uh you know their their AI photo
57:49 tool um or you could take it into
57:52 illustrator and do you know Vector trace
57:54 and things like that um there's also
57:58 Adobe Illustrator itself let me flip
58:00 over to that for a second
58:06 illustrator this doesn't have you you
58:08 don't have the sophistication of
58:10 prompting that you have with chat GPT
58:12 but illustrator now has generative
58:17 object creation so generative text to
58:21 vector graphics so I come in here and I
58:23 draw a square
58:26 a square like that and then I go I click
58:29 on the pointer tool and see it says
58:31 generate right here I'm going to hit
58:33 generate and then I'm going to put
58:36 man uh oh wait I got to do one other
58:38 thing there's four modes there's subject
58:42 scene what's that say icon and pattern
58:45 so we're going to do subject okay so
58:46 subject so I'm going to go
58:50 monochrome mon o Chrome graphic
58:58 [Music]
59:00 um
59:02 illustration
59:04 for uh let's say t-shirt illustration
59:09 t-shirt ah the Llama thank you Einstein
59:14 illustration of a
59:17 turtle and it's going to go off and it's
59:20 going to make us three different Turtles
59:21 and now these because they're being
59:23 generated in illustrator are infinitely
59:26 scalable right now are they good Vector
59:31 Generations no like all of these tools
59:33 right now they're janky ass pieces of
59:45 [ __ ] listen it's the stealth Turtle it's
59:50 it's the space force Turtle That's had
59:53 it's it's D DNA has been a little
59:56 Modified by the trips to marsin back
1:00:00 but I think someone should go make a
1:00:04 make a t-shirt of
1:00:07 this so what we call these what we call
1:00:10 these here at the AI learning lab this
1:00:12 is not wrong it's
1:00:20 irregular and he had the worst case of
1:00:22 fernback you ever seen
1:00:27 but yeah so this is Vector art so look
1:00:30 we can scroll infinitely and is infin in
1:00:33 infinitely
1:00:34 crisp you can change all the colors do
1:00:36 all the [ __ ] so there you go there's two
1:00:38 options for
1:00:39 you my ADD AI World
1:00:44 Mah
1:00:48 um thank you mad capap for the world He
1:00:51 Got the Whole World in His Hand he got
1:00:55 the whole wide world in his
1:01:01 hand what do you whining about you want
1:01:03 to get up on the bed hang on I'll be
1:01:06 right back oh that's cool who's doing
1:01:08 that Lun lunar stick killing it
1:01:11 tonight come
1:01:19 here go there you go there you
1:01:23 go all right
1:01:29 all right he's up on the little guest
1:01:31 bed so he's probably going to be barking
1:01:32 at people as they walk by
1:01:35 so I'm trying to I'm trying to make my
1:01:37 dog happy
1:01:40 people oh that's a good
1:01:42 one look at that one
1:01:49 nice very
1:01:52 cool these are great
1:02:00 look at the Colors oh
1:02:07 wait those colors are
1:02:12 baller very very
1:02:14 cool great thank you yes you're
1:02:18 welcome t-shirt t-shirt
1:02:21 person you are welcome igy yeah yeah
1:02:25 listen I mean this is the thing about
1:02:27 these tools
1:02:29 is here here's here's what I would say
1:02:32 is is the is the thing to explore
1:02:36 is I'm working on on getting better at
1:02:39 this and and the term for it is being AI
1:02:43 native it's not quite the right term
1:02:47 but being AI native basically means that
1:02:51 whenever you have a problem to solve for
1:02:53 your business or for your life that you
1:02:55 start with AI that you go there first
1:02:59 and try to solve it with AI thanks
1:03:01 Silver
1:03:02 Fox
1:03:04 um and I'm not great at it because it's
1:03:08 like like as humans we've got however
1:03:10 many years on the planet we've been we
1:03:13 we've trained thank
1:03:16 you um we've trained these
1:03:18 brains to solve problems however we
1:03:21 solve them right like like we're we're
1:03:23 problem solving machines and someone
1:03:25 says I got to I got to deal with this
1:03:27 and then you're like okay and then your
1:03:28 gears start going
1:03:30 right and so that's just at this point
1:03:34 it's it's an instinctive response to oh
1:03:37 oh that's cool thank you Silver Fox that
1:03:39 was neat that was very cool um so our
1:03:43 our instinctive response is to go into
1:03:45 that problem solving mode whatever that
1:03:47 means for each of us and being AI native
1:03:51 means stopping that instinct right so
1:03:55 it's it's it's really tough for ADHD
1:03:57 because you have to like consciously you
1:03:59 have to not be in the you know in the
1:04:01 sort of
1:04:03 amigdala endorphin heaven or adrenaline
1:04:07 heaven and you you have to consciously
1:04:09 do it
1:04:10 so
1:04:12 um but I but I think the trick is just
1:04:15 start experimenting because you'll
1:04:17 either find it can't be done or you'll
1:04:20 find oh there's three different ways to
1:04:21 do it and they're all kind of imperfect
1:04:23 or one's better than the other
1:04:25 I think it would be beneficial to see
1:04:27 The Prompt using D3 posts in Salon yeah
1:04:29 that's a good idea um let's
1:04:34 see start why is that not starting oh it
1:04:36 couldn't start because something's
1:04:39 pinned um unpin I think it was Tobias
1:04:42 that said that unpin tobias's post and
1:04:44 then
1:04:45 I'll I'll make the uh poll
1:04:48 live go perfect okay so let me type that
1:04:53 in the salon
1:04:55 um let's see
1:04:58 Tobias had a good
1:05:03 idea both here and in Show and
1:05:08 Tell please share your
1:05:13 prompt
1:05:23 um
1:05:26 all right cool
1:05:28 done done done done wow these are so
1:05:32 cool shago I can't get the computer to
1:05:35 do the head to the side I tried a bunch
1:05:37 of times oh that's funny but look at
1:05:41 this look how cool these are this is the
1:05:44 Kevin McAllister
1:05:47 moment those are so
1:05:53 cool
1:05:55 that one I
1:05:58 love why is
1:06:00 that Tik tok's making that pulse do you
1:06:04 guys see that see how it's
1:06:09 pulsing
1:06:11 huh that's weird I don't could you see
1:06:13 that thinking AI first is what I've
1:06:16 heard it being called yeah yeah I I
1:06:18 think that's Bigfoot Electro that's
1:06:21 that's a more accurate term think AI
1:06:23 first like being AI native means like
1:06:27 like Jeffrey Hinton is AI native like he
1:06:29 invented the [ __ ] so I I feel like it's
1:06:33 it's a little pretentious for us to talk
1:06:35 about being AI native when there's
1:06:37 people that have been doing this [ __ ]
1:06:38 for 30
1:06:44 years oh
1:06:48 man think AI first oh native get it n ai
1:06:53 ai TI i v that's good
1:07:00 Herod okay now take the dog out Kyle by
1:07:02 all the turtles gummies hedgehogs and L
1:07:05 was
1:07:07 crying oh
1:07:11 man my head is totally AI first now
1:07:14 totally being rewired yeah it's that
1:07:17 that's what it is that's what it is cuno
1:07:18 it's definitely a rewiring because it's
1:07:22 um I don't know
1:07:25 it's liberating in a lot of ways thank
1:07:27 you Nancy it's very liberating to to
1:07:31 especially when you catch yourself so so
1:07:33 when someone says something to me like I
1:07:34 need to do this or I need to do that
1:07:36 where what they're essentially saying is
1:07:38 Kyle can you solve
1:07:40 that when I when I feel the gears start
1:07:43 turning and I stop myself and I go oh I
1:07:47 bet I could do this with AI like it's
1:07:48 it's it's a really liberating moment cuz
1:07:51 what what ends up happening for me is it
1:07:53 buys me an extra hour right so if if I
1:07:58 would solve it the way I traditionally
1:07:59 do I'd run down some rabbit holes I'd do
1:08:02 some add distraction
1:08:04 [ __ ] and I would spend an hour and I
1:08:06 would get to some state of progress with
1:08:09 whatever the problem is with AI I go oh
1:08:13 I could use AI for that I go into Ai and
1:08:16 within what 3 minutes five
1:08:19 minutes I've got that I've got a
1:08:22 solution at least you know articulated
1:08:26 whether it's not whether or not it's the
1:08:27 right solution is completely irrelevant
1:08:29 but there's at least a solution there
1:08:31 like within
1:08:33 minutes and then I have the hour to
1:08:35 refine the idea or go no that's not it I
1:08:38 got to start over you know what I can't
1:08:40 actually this doesn't feel right for AI
1:08:42 this is not right and then I'll go off
1:08:43 and do it but like what I learned in
1:08:45 that little interaction is invaluable
1:08:48 and really really really really powerful
1:08:50 so all right I interrupt all the time
1:08:53 anyway so now it's you can do that with
1:08:59 AI exactly you can make
1:09:03 money you can solve that with
1:09:06 AI exactly although that's making fun of
1:09:11 the Annoying Tik Tock people that sound
1:09:13 like that I don't think there's they
1:09:15 they haven't yet there's not the
1:09:16 business equivalent of them going you
1:09:19 you should solve that problem with
1:09:21 AI cuz that's the I can make money voice
1:09:23 that's nft bro voice H it's so annoying
1:09:27 it's pretty funny all right uh um there
1:09:31 is some materials what did that
1:09:34 say ticktock jump me to the bottom
1:09:38 ticktock jump me to the
1:09:41 bottom
1:09:43 toles great thank you you're welcome
1:09:47 that's okay he deserves the best oh the
1:09:50 doggy champy does deserve the best
1:09:51 Champ's
1:09:53 awesome
1:09:54 I love that set oh my God who did this
1:09:59 forever
1:10:00 hooked holy [ __ ] is that beautiful look
1:10:04 at
1:10:07 that
1:10:09 wow you know be fun walk into a tattoo
1:10:12 artist and go here's what I
1:10:18 want he'd look at me and he go okay
1:10:20 first start working
1:10:23 out
1:10:24 that's gorgeous man
1:10:29 damn like the skin texture wait can I
1:10:32 zoom in on it
1:10:34 yeah look at the skin
1:10:37 texture can you see it yeah there you
1:10:40 go that's
1:10:43 crazy look at the llama and the Hedgehog
1:10:46 and the
1:10:47 turtle oh wait no it's not a it's llama
1:10:50 Hedgehog oh the turtles at the bottom
1:10:53 what the [ __ ] is that thing
1:10:54 what is that what is
1:11:00 that it's a it's a it's a hedgehog owl
1:11:04 Turtle oh it is it's a combination of a
1:11:06 hedgehog and a
1:11:08 turtle but man is that gorgeous
1:11:12 dag dag I like
1:11:17 [Music]
1:11:21 it yeah right Craig I know that's a wow
1:11:25 love it that's amazing better late than
1:11:28 never Jim Ross Jim Ross
1:11:35 Superstar Jim Ross is one of those
1:11:37 people that's doing it right he's like
1:11:41 he's
1:11:42 like uh let me try that with AI oh yeah
1:11:45 I can do that he just puts the [ __ ] out
1:11:47 in the world it's very
1:11:52 cool the parad
1:12:00 exactly it's neop plasticity oh that's
1:12:03 interesting it's an interesting um
1:12:06 phrase Brandon jet can AI do my taxes um
1:12:12 I would think that um code interpreter
1:12:16 can
1:12:18 can can at least I like I I I feel like
1:12:22 code interpreter could at a minimum help
1:12:24 you organize your taxes could probably
1:12:27 do some initial analysis you know you
1:12:29 could certainly experiment with have
1:12:32 have Claude because it can do long
1:12:35 documents have Claude read the tax
1:12:38 codes um and give you advice but you
1:12:41 know right now I wouldn't I'd check
1:12:43 everything with an accountant so maybe
1:12:45 you can make maybe you can sa save some
1:12:47 of the prep time and and get some
1:12:49 education with it um but I wouldn't
1:12:52 trust this [ __ ] with tax any anything
1:12:54 where you've got critical certainly that
1:12:57 involves
1:12:58 math chat GPT sucks at math right now
1:13:01 apparently Gemini that's coming out is
1:13:03 supposed to be really really
1:13:05 good and I from from Google I would not
1:13:08 be surprised if Gemini is good at math
1:13:11 because Google's so engineering heavy we
1:13:14 have Pate that hangs out in here like
1:13:17 you know there's some serious [ __ ]
1:13:19 brainiacs over there so it would make
1:13:21 sense that that Gemini can do math
1:13:24 better than chat
1:13:25 GPT but I doubt it's going to do words
1:13:29 better but I talked to three people
1:13:31 tonight that said it's [ __ ] amazing
1:13:35 so we'll
1:13:40 [Laughter]
1:13:47 see Bigfoot electo Dr J Google bard even
1:13:50 explained what the nuances are in misn
1:13:53 homers in court oh interesting thank you
1:13:56 for the rose Jamie appreciate that I
1:13:59 feel like that's something I would have
1:14:01 been paying a lawyer for a year ago this
1:14:04 is so this is one of the things that's
1:14:07 kind of
1:14:10 the there's an insidiousness to these
1:14:14 capabilities which is how many calls are
1:14:18 not being made to
1:14:20 lawyers because all you really needed
1:14:22 the lawyer for was to answer a basic
1:14:24 question how does this work how does
1:14:26 that work and you call up and you you
1:14:29 know you you're if your lawyer's good
1:14:31 they'll small talk you for 15 minutes
1:14:34 and then bill you for it right so you do
1:14:37 a half hour call and now now you you
1:14:39 know have a $100 or $200 bill depending
1:14:43 on your
1:14:44 lawyer to answer a quick question how
1:14:46 many of those calls are not being made
1:14:49 now and I bet it's a lot I bet it's a
1:14:52 lot
1:14:59 it's sort of like learning another
1:15:00 language when you're able to answer
1:15:02 without translating in your head that's
1:15:04 a really good analogy Amelio's wife
1:15:07 that's a really good
1:15:08 analogy that yeah yeah cuz right now
1:15:12 yeah you're right right now being what
1:15:16 is it AI first thinking AI first is is
1:15:19 like a new language it's like okay oh
1:15:21 wait say that in Spanish
1:15:25 instinct is English say that in Spanish
1:15:28 it's very conscious right um problem
1:15:30 solving is human [ __ ] it do it with AI
1:15:33 very conscious yeah I think you're right
1:15:34 I think being AI first is like when you
1:15:39 cross the threshold when it's just like
1:15:41 problem comes in and you just go
1:15:42 immediately to to AI yeah I think that's
1:15:45 right that's really
1:15:48 good all right what's the free site that
1:15:51 does images with text I don't have the
1:15:53 money to pay for Mid Journey or chat gbt
1:15:55 right now it's called Uh
1:15:58 ideogram i d e o g r a m dot hang on I
1:16:03 think
1:16:07 IO
1:16:09 a Kyle
1:16:11 sleepy Kyle
1:16:16 sleepy ideogram that's the free one that
1:16:19 does letters also I would go play with
1:16:23 no you can't play with firefly if
1:16:26 Firefly is not free I pay for I pay for
1:16:30 Adobe we pay God Adobe is so expensive
1:16:34 it's so expensive it's so
1:16:37 expensive I don't like it I don't like
1:16:40 it it makes me very stressed
1:16:43 out that's so
1:16:46 cool AI learning lab have a cold one on
1:16:52 us
1:16:54 [Music]
1:16:58 the nft Bro
1:17:00 voice
1:17:03 yeah Tik Tock algo is pushing AI Bros to
1:17:07 me quite a bit these days you can make
1:17:10 money
1:17:11 with you know what I've started doing
1:17:14 instead of being a lazy tick tocker
1:17:16 which I am is when it keeps pushing me
1:17:20 those annoying people I like do what I
1:17:22 like I go into their thing and I say or
1:17:25 like you press and hold I don't know
1:17:27 whatever the [ __ ] I do I think you press
1:17:28 and hold and then it pops up a thing
1:17:30 like don't show me this [ __ ] and it's
1:17:33 like why it's like I don't want to you
1:17:34 keep showing me this and that's actually
1:17:36 been helping get rid of some of that
1:17:38 stuff there's no law yawning aloud in
1:17:40 the AI learning lab there's no yawning
1:17:43 in teaching Robert Rossy hey yeah thank
1:17:47 you here's another pretty one look at
1:17:50 lunatick knocking it out of the park
1:17:52 tonight visit
1:17:55 versus the AI learning
1:17:58 lab that's cool
1:18:00 though like there's a good example of an
1:18:03 image where you could keep trying to get
1:18:05 Dolly 3 to do a version of that where
1:18:08 the spelling's right but it's such a
1:18:10 clear area you can just go Photoshop
1:18:12 that and fix the fix the language that's
1:18:14 a really pretty image that's
1:18:15 cool
1:18:19 amazing
1:18:22 uh
1:18:29 look we can do cute we can do children's
1:18:34 book you know what's funny for the you
1:18:37 know Herod because you you do this stuff
1:18:40 you do a lot of this stuff like we spend
1:18:43 enough time in here together and we're
1:18:45 now starting to like generate content
1:18:47 that's part of the
1:18:49 conversation if we just took like three
1:18:51 nights we could probably publish a
1:18:54 book like just come up with a theme
1:18:57 someone's on chat GPD generating content
1:18:59 someone else doing images someone else
1:19:01 figuring out the Amazon custom
1:19:04 publishing we can we can have a little
1:19:07 store selling the books we make in the
1:19:09 AI learning lab it's actually not a bad
1:19:11 idea we'll figure something out anyone
1:19:14 has any ideas jump jump jump in on that
1:19:17 hey my dog can do math better than chat
1:19:19 GPT I know chat GPT really does suck
1:19:22 honest to God the i' I've got one client
1:19:25 it this is a simple [ __ ] report is I
1:19:28 have to I have to take how many videos
1:19:31 were filmed and I need to make a chart
1:19:34 that's like you know every seven days
1:19:36 and we we used to have this Excel pivot
1:19:40 table that did all this [ __ ] but the
1:19:41 person that programmed it is no longer
1:19:43 here and the way it was programmed is
1:19:46 just [ __ ] stupid and so rather than
1:19:48 rewrite that whole Excel spreadsheet to
1:19:50 do this one stupid graph I'm trying to
1:19:53 get get Advanced Data analysis to do it
1:19:56 chat GPT and God it just it sucks at
1:19:59 counting it's not even math it just
1:20:02 sucks at counting three nights and we
1:20:05 could rule the world exactly I'm telling
1:20:07 you 10 10 smart people and a month could
1:20:11 take down any company in the world right
1:20:14 now cuz honest to God companies right
1:20:16 now are are just sleeping at the
1:20:21 wheel it was funny one of the one of the
1:20:23 stories that I told
1:20:25 tonight or today at the at the event I
1:20:29 spoke at was in the early days of the
1:20:31 web I told the story of how we won the
1:20:33 Coca-Cola business so we we built
1:20:36 Coca-Cola's first
1:20:38 website and how we won the business was
1:20:40 you know they they had an AO pitch an
1:20:44 agency of record pitch so they invited I
1:20:46 don't know five or six digital agencies
1:20:49 down to Atlanta we knew them all like we
1:20:52 we were all sitting in the in
1:20:53 headquarters together we all knew each
1:20:54 other so we had like eight of us there
1:20:57 so there's like eight of us and there's
1:20:59 like 15 cecs right and so we start our
1:21:03 presentation and we're doing our
1:21:04 credentials here's what we've done we've
1:21:06 worked this these big
1:21:09 companies and then we get to the like
1:21:11 what are we going to do for Coke the
1:21:13 actual pitch right and the first slide
1:21:15 we have is a screenshot of coke.com and
1:21:20 a screenshot of cocacola.com and they
1:21:23 were both made and published by the IT
1:21:26 department and coke.com was light yellow
1:21:29 with black text and hyp blue hyperlinks
1:21:33 and it was like links to like you know
1:21:35 annual reports and [ __ ] like that and
1:21:37 cocacola.com was just white text white
1:21:40 page with black text with blue
1:21:41 hyperlinks and it was just other
1:21:43 documents right they were just like a
1:21:45 pile of
1:21:46 documents and so we had a slide that had
1:21:50 screenshots of those two sites and our
1:21:52 headline was where are the polar
1:21:54 bears and and they [ __ ] stopped the
1:21:59 meeting they stopped the meeting they
1:22:01 they like they were like wait um just
1:22:03 could you could you hang on and they all
1:22:08 left they every one of them walked out
1:22:10 of the room we're like what did we
1:22:13 do so they were gone for like 15 minutes
1:22:17 they walked back in and they saidh can
1:22:19 you start they had never seen their
1:22:22 website like 15 execs from the biggest
1:22:25 brand in the world so that was like the
1:22:27 early days of the
1:22:29 web and it wasn't their fault right like
1:22:31 the It groups in these big corporations
1:22:34 are like if it's technology it's ours
1:22:36 right they like it wasn't clear that the
1:22:39 internet that early was not the purview
1:22:42 of the tech
1:22:44 department right but when we showed it
1:22:47 to them like your customers are seeing
1:22:50 this as your brand they lost their [ __ ]
1:22:53 Minds that's where we are right now with
1:22:56 AI where these big companies are like la
1:22:59 la la la la big universities yeah we
1:23:02 don't really have an opinion on AI
1:23:06 what so there's just going to be this
1:23:08 this rolling series and it's probably
1:23:09 going to be people from in here that
1:23:12 walk into their you know corporate
1:23:14 boardrooms because they've been blabbing
1:23:16 about
1:23:17 Ai and and do the equivalent of that
1:23:19 coke moment look what our competitors
1:23:21 are doing look look this four-person
1:23:23 startup did that fundamentally threatens
1:23:26 our business model what do you think of
1:23:28 that Mr
1:23:30 CEO that seems
1:23:34 irresponsible hey can you guys wait say
1:23:37 these ideas again but slower into this
1:23:39 Google
1:23:41 branded
1:23:46 microphone that's really good
1:23:50 pton that's good uh
1:23:54 oh
1:23:56 man my voice is so crunchy
1:24:01 tonight I'm in let's do it all right
1:24:04 what are we doing we're going to we're
1:24:05 going to we're going to start a
1:24:06 publishing arm of the AI learning
1:24:08 [Laughter]
1:24:13 lab yeah actually I mean like like like
1:24:16 seriously like what could it be it could
1:24:19 be here's a series of cool images for
1:24:22 the learning lab that's got our stupid
1:24:24 animal like our zoo and and whatever
1:24:27 images we come up with the prompts that
1:24:29 are in
1:24:30 there like a little educational [ __ ]
1:24:34 about here's sites you can go play like
1:24:37 it just like
1:24:39 I honestly we're just in this place now
1:24:44 where well this is what Jim Russ told me
1:24:47 the the other night at the at the AI
1:24:48 office hours the other afternoon is that
1:24:52 he just had an idea aidea to do like a
1:24:55 like a
1:24:57 booklet now he said it's a 75-page
1:25:00 booklet by the way Jim 75 pages is not a
1:25:02 booklet that's a
1:25:04 book 25 pages is A booklet 75 that's
1:25:08 getting up there but he made a 75 page
1:25:11 book for his his you know business
1:25:14 colleagues to to make it easier for them
1:25:16 to do their business cuz he has in his
1:25:19 head all the stuff they need to do so he
1:25:21 just sort of blur that out of his
1:25:24 head and then chat GPT turns it into
1:25:28 publishable
1:25:29 form and what did you say it took you
1:25:31 like two hours Jim two
1:25:35 hours and that probably included
1:25:37 creating the cover
1:25:39 image it's like good
1:25:42 lord it's just crazy I have ideas I have
1:25:45 ideas n better
1:25:48 not should I have huis to send a deck to
1:25:51 our commercial Chief
1:25:54 yes of what we should be doing with AI
1:25:57 you you absolutely should cuno
1:26:01 absolutely absolutely cuz I
1:26:05 mean like like I I don't know the
1:26:08 culture of your company I don't know
1:26:10 quite what company you work for and I
1:26:12 know it's big and so there's probably
1:26:13 weird politics but assuming you're not
1:26:15 in in a political environment where if
1:26:18 you take initiative you get your head
1:26:20 chopped off then I would say yes do it
1:26:23 because worst thing that can happen
1:26:26 is well I would say the worst thing that
1:26:29 can happen is I assume it's a him Chief
1:26:31 commercial commercial Chief is he goes
1:26:34 oh this is a good idea and he just takes
1:26:36 the ideas and takes credit for them
1:26:37 right that's that's worse second worst
1:26:39 is it just he ignores it but what will
1:26:42 likely happen is at a
1:26:45 minimum He he'll go could you walk me
1:26:47 through the what what is this did
1:26:49 someone ask you to do this is this true
1:26:52 does does this
1:26:53 exist like my my suspicion is that
1:26:56 you'll end up in a conversation because
1:26:58 of that and like that's not a bad
1:27:00 thing seriously we should do just at
1:27:02 least one project for fun yeah yeah why
1:27:05 not why not I will um I will support
1:27:10 what whatever you guys want to do I I
1:27:12 I'll I'll what I what I will do for
1:27:16 myself right now is I will not lead it
1:27:18 if you guys want to figure out how to
1:27:20 lead it I'll support it so I'm in
1:27:24 I know it's kind of my idea but I don't
1:27:26 want to lead it just
1:27:28 because cuz I I cuz this shit's
1:27:31 happening kind of organically anyway so
1:27:34 I I love
1:27:38 that it's like it's like it's like
1:27:41 self-organizing publishing company
1:27:44 that's really
1:27:45 cool and then we have some Geeks in here
1:27:48 too so maybe we end up with a video game
1:27:49 too and herod's going to make us a film
1:27:52 so
1:27:54 if you haven't seen herod's work by the
1:27:56 way it's really cool he does he does
1:27:57 really cool animations and illustrations
1:28:00 now Herod spoke at the AI Salon last
1:28:04 Tuesday yeah I think so and talked about
1:28:08 his transition from it was such a cool
1:28:10 story Herod being an being an engineer
1:28:13 which he he went to school for four
1:28:15 years to become an engineer got that
1:28:19 job and then started doing this AI art
1:28:22 stuff and in 6 months transitioned over
1:28:24 to got hired as an AI
1:28:26 artist can it make steampunk design but
1:28:30 also the mechanic schematics to make it
1:28:32 work not right now the um where where
1:28:36 we'll get you could you could you could
1:28:39 certainly get these tools to um give you
1:28:42 schematics that look like they could
1:28:44 work but the actual engineering behind
1:28:46 it what we're going to need is AI front
1:28:49 ends you know in front of AutoCAD and
1:28:52 and you know whatever the the you know
1:28:55 the engineering 3D applications are the
1:28:58 really complicated ones
1:29:01 um I promise you all of those companies
1:29:04 are probably developing AI front ends
1:29:07 right now right text to full-on
1:29:10 engineering drawings that is not that
1:29:13 far away cuz this is all the same [ __ ]
1:29:16 so so it's just it just depends on what
1:29:18 you train it on so you could absolutely
1:29:21 train a language model or or whatever
1:29:24 you know an ml model on
1:29:28 um how AutoCAD works or how
1:29:31 architectural drawing works or how any
1:29:35 of it works so so we're we're going to
1:29:37 start to see those tools really quick
1:29:39 like now that the cat is out of the bag
1:29:41 of how this stuff works and how flexible
1:29:43 it is and how deeply profoundly powerful
1:29:46 it is everyone right now is out there
1:29:48 trying to figure this [ __ ] out like the
1:29:50 the just the amount of developers and
1:29:53 Engineering time going into Innovation
1:29:55 right now is going to it's just we're
1:29:57 just going to see explosions like the
1:29:59 next at least 3 years and it's probably
1:30:02 more like 5 years it's just this this is
1:30:05 going to be continued rolling Innovation
1:30:08 one after another after another we're
1:30:11 just in we we are at the very beginning
1:30:14 of this just massive
1:30:18 massive um Innovation uh EXP
1:30:23 expansion um showing the way a scenario
1:30:26 end in a thousand ways is
1:30:30 dissuading to those scenarios wait
1:30:32 showing the
1:30:34 way a scenario ends a thousand ways is
1:30:38 dissuading using a thousand using those
1:30:41 scenarios I don't quite know what that
1:30:42 means Apple user rephrase that because I
1:30:45 don't I don't quite understand what you
1:30:48 [Music]
1:30:51 mean Silver Fox
1:30:54 I'm yes go
1:30:58 on oh I'm
1:31:00 bartend oh all bartend oh okay good when
1:31:04 we have our launch party that's great
1:31:07 did you talk about the AI at the coffee
1:31:11 shops or football stadium yet
1:31:14 no what's the AI at coffee shops or
1:31:17 football
1:31:18 stadium Danielle what what is this you
1:31:21 speak of
1:31:22 oh hey Mark what what are you saying
1:31:26 Danielle
1:31:28 lorino oh hey Mark
1:31:32 um let's
1:31:35 see
1:31:39 um AI in coffee
1:31:51 shop
1:31:53 tea and coffee trade
1:32:02 Journal is this it coffee shop
1:32:07 AI oh I've seen
1:32:11 this this is the this is the the uh
1:32:15 object recognition stuff oh yeah oh I
1:32:18 haven't talked about this okay oh they
1:32:20 launched 20 plus robots in PL public
1:32:23 from the Creator wait okay this is not
1:32:26 so this is not what I'm I thought it was
1:32:27 okay the thing I'm showing there so some
1:32:30 some coffee shop was tracking their
1:32:33 Baristas and using object recognition
1:32:37 they they were like okay this Barista
1:32:39 makes made 20 coffees in the time this
1:32:41 one made 10 so so they're like autot
1:32:44 tracking the efficiency of their
1:32:46 Baristas so wait so they launched 20
1:32:49 plus robots so wait
1:32:51 AI
1:32:53 um
1:32:55 robots in Coffee
1:33:05 Shop New York New York City's first
1:33:08 coffee shop run by a robot Barista is it
1:33:10 that one that was five months
1:33:15 ago yeah there was one from like 2019
1:33:18 that someone was going to start a robot
1:33:21 coffee shop but that was a while
1:33:24 ago what did where did you say it
1:33:30 was who was it from could you pin that
1:33:33 again cuz I think she had up I think
1:33:35 Danielle had the The
1:33:37 Source search football stadium okay AI
1:33:42 robots
1:33:44 in football
1:33:51 stadium
1:33:56 oh These Guys these really creepy
1:33:59 ones I saw this I put it out of my
1:34:02 mind because it was too
1:34:07 creepy oh what is with this
1:34:13 [Music]
1:34:20 advertising

1:34:31 were those real or were those actors in
1:34:33 a robot suit just to freak people
1:34:36 out probably
1:34:38 more viral yeah yeah more viral if it's
1:34:43 more creepy yeah
1:34:45 absolutely yeah I saw those I I mean
1:34:49 it's obviously a PR stunt I don't know
1:34:51 if it's a PR stunt that is
1:34:54 uh you know
1:34:58 um oh you know what I'm going to do I
1:35:01 know let's
1:35:05 see that's a cool one I like that
1:35:09 [Music]
1:35:15 one I think we got to put up one of one
1:35:17 of the other things that we talked about
1:35:19 the other night is that is that the AI
1:35:21 learning lab
1:35:22 is just like an AI support group it's
1:35:25 like a like a 12-step program hi I'm
1:35:28 Kyle I've been using AI for two years hi
1:35:35 Kyle the longest I've gone without using
1:35:38 AI was 12 hours oh it happens to all of
1:35:41 us we've been
1:35:42 there but they're now showing up in
1:35:44 other places oh that's interesting
1:35:46 Danielle do you know if they're are they
1:35:47 real robots or are they actors acting
1:35:49 like robots just to freak people out
1:35:53 wait it happened and I missed it we
1:35:55 finally team up well we haven't teamed
1:35:58 up yet cocklaw but we're talking about
1:35:59 teaming up the robots were walking
1:36:02 around observing sounds like what you
1:36:04 were just saying oh interesting yeah
1:36:05 yeah
1:36:06 yeah um search football stadium did that
1:36:10 probably more viral weren't they people
1:36:12 in costumes that's my that was my
1:36:14 question they just had
1:36:17 like I've been when I was pursuing
1:36:21 professional acting I've done some of
1:36:23 those jobs I played I played a a Teddy
1:36:28 Graham I played a Teddy Graham in a
1:36:31 national tour of Nabisco
1:36:36 headquarters they flew us around the
1:36:39 country and I put on a [ __ ] bear
1:36:41 costume with two other loser actors that
1:36:43 put on bear costumes and we pretended
1:36:46 like we were playing instruments to
1:36:49 [ __ ] horrible recorded songs
1:36:52 oh my
1:36:54 God I have trauma I have trauma I've
1:36:58 been in those
1:37:03 suits oh man I prefer AI at the coffee
1:37:07 shop then maybe I would get my Cafe mro
1:37:09 instead of Sheila's chai latte
1:37:16 exactly oh the Creator all right every
1:37:18 concession stand needs robotic help this
1:37:20 is a passion mine I like efficiency
1:37:23 totally agree I I'll tell you I'll see
1:37:26 your concession stand robots and I want
1:37:30 um customer service phone Banks replaced
1:37:33 with [ __ ] robot customer service
1:37:36 people absolutely
1:37:39 1,000% I want something like chatty GPT
1:37:43 answering the [ __ ] phone on the first
1:37:46 ring understanding what I say and being
1:37:49 able to help me I want that
1:37:52 yesterday I want it yesterday
1:37:58 yesterday I call dibs on management all
1:38:00 right cockal you can you can uh you can
1:38:03 leave the thing cockal are you in the
1:38:04 are you in the salon are you in the
1:38:06 Discord because I think if we're going
1:38:07 to organize it we have to organize it in
1:38:09 the Discord CU there's no persistence
1:38:11 here Kyle quot of the night I've been
1:38:14 I've been in those bear suits I
1:38:20 have listen
1:38:22 when you're an outof work actor and and
1:38:25 a casting director goes listen
1:38:29 um they didn't they didn't really want
1:38:32 you but the other guy quit so you can
1:38:35 make a quick, 1500
1:38:37 bucks if you do this thing for the next
1:38:40 [Laughter]
1:38:46 week oh my
1:38:50 God
1:38:54 dignity don't know don't
1:39:01 know and pretty much that it was much
1:39:04 fuzzier than that it was way more furry
1:39:07 than
1:39:08 that let me see if I can find
1:39:12 one um let's
1:39:16 see let's see um when would that have
1:39:19 been I guess '90s
1:39:24 Teddy
1:39:28 Graham
1:39:31 costume with
1:39:34 guitar I did play lead
1:39:38 guitar well this is what they looked
1:39:40 like this is what I looked
1:39:42 [Laughter]
1:39:50 like
1:39:53 imagine one of those big enough for me
1:39:55 to climb
1:40:01 in oh God this is PTSD man this is you
1:40:07 people are mean making me do
1:40:10 this uh there's there's nothing here let
1:40:13 me see

1:40:22 Oh Lordy let me
1:40:25 see Teddy's Graham let me do national
1:40:37 tour yeah these were
1:40:45 them I'm going to show you how to
1:40:47 quickly and easily make really cool
1:40:50 animated social videos for for your feed
1:40:51 with
1:40:53 [Music]
1:40:54 [Laughter]
1:41:01 the lightly sweet gram snacks exploding
1:41:04 with taste so that's the National
1:41:06 Commercial those people got like
1:41:10 $155,000 I had to do that live in front
1:41:12 of corporate Executives that were just
1:41:14 like why are we watching
1:41:20 this
1:41:23 oh my god oh it's
1:41:27 [Laughter]
1:41:33 painful

1:42:35 Meetup and then you go to the Discord
1:42:37 from there I think that one's the one

1:48:43 cheers all
1:48:46 [Music]
1:48:49 right
1:48:52 they weren't quite that realistic but
1:48:55 it's
1:48:57 beautiful that's that's that's that's
1:49:00 more in the neighborhood that's more of
1:49:02 the neighborhood of the humiliation we
1:49:04 were
1:49:10 talking oh this is such a good image
1:49:14 ideogram was so screwed they're so done
1:49:17 they were like the darling for like 3
1:49:19 weeks well
1:49:21 wellow I was a sound op for an Off
1:49:23 Broadway play my first job in New York
1:49:25 City oh that's
1:49:27 awesome one of the best bands I was in
1:49:30 was called The Bunny The Bear and the
1:49:31 vocalist wore a bear suit well there you
1:49:34 have it
1:49:35 see it's it's a tradition the doooo be
1:49:39 strong tonight
1:49:41 exactly it runs
1:49:45 deep oh
1:49:47 man
1:49:49 um
1:49:54 yeah we need we yeah I think Discord
1:49:57 amelo is how you Cowboy I wish I could
1:50:00 quit
1:50:02 you
1:50:05 um I think meeting and Discord makes
1:50:08 sense it's it's the only persistent
1:50:10 place we have because otherwise we're
1:50:13 going to have to set up mail lists
1:50:16 and it's work I don't want
1:50:19 work this want it to be Joy I want it to
1:50:23 be joy joy joy joy joy well joy isn't
1:50:27 that
1:50:30 fantastic chat GPT helps me with writer
1:50:33 block oh it's so I I I can honestly say
1:50:38 Becky that I feel like chat GPT has
1:50:41 erased my writer's
1:50:44 block like even you know how there's
1:50:47 different levels of writers block
1:50:49 there's like the I can't can't think of
1:50:51 ideas and then you've got the the
1:50:52 Hostile writer's block that's like
1:50:54 you're a piece of [ __ ] you'll never do
1:50:56 anything with your life that writer's
1:50:58 block I'm even finding I'm breaking
1:51:00 through that
1:51:02 one cuz it's cuz they're all the same
1:51:04 it's all just fear right it's all just
1:51:06 that you know traumatic response
1:51:11 crap and it's
1:51:15 um like I'm even finding with that with
1:51:17 the really sticky writers block that I'm
1:51:19 just like oh screw it let me just like I
1:51:22 angrily go to chat GPT like I'm a piece
1:51:26 of crap and this is horrible and I type
1:51:28 it in I type in like four words in chat
1:51:30 gbt and I hit submit angrily and then
1:51:32 it's like pring happy to see you can I
1:51:35 help you with this idea and I'm like oh
1:51:37 yeah that's not a bad idea it like snaps
1:51:39 me out of the the craziness it's amazing
1:51:43 I mean it really is amazing
1:51:46 it's it's just
1:51:48 something it is just just something is
1:51:52 this where the action is [ __ ] claw's in
1:51:54 there this be
1:51:57 it this be
1:51:59 [Laughter]
1:52:09 [Music]
1:52:14 it he he wore a bare mask and yes I am
1:52:19 embarrassed to about it I was spiraling
1:52:22 last night and I poured it into chat gbt
1:52:26 interesting interesting yeah you know
1:52:29 that idea of
1:52:31 articulating articulating where you're
1:52:33 sort of spinning stuff up and and using
1:52:36 Chachi B to articulate that and turn
1:52:38 that into art and expression that's
1:52:40 really interesting lunar stick really
1:52:43 really
1:52:44 interesting yeah yeah breaking through
1:52:47 the the the the ugly writers block
1:52:49 there's writers writers block sounds
1:52:51 like this cute thing it's not cute it's
1:52:54 it's it's it's it's really devastating
1:52:57 like it's because it's just you know
1:52:59 it's it's that shitty voice in your head
1:53:02 I don't know if if you've all seen hey
1:53:04 Ren do you know the song hey Ren or
1:53:06 hyren by
1:53:08 Ren it it is it is brilliant it is one
1:53:13 of the most brilliant performances and
1:53:15 piece of music that I've ever seen and
1:53:19 it's it's about these two voices in your
1:53:22 head so just go just go to YouTube and
1:53:25 search for Ren Reen hi Ren the song is
1:53:30 called high Ren and ren is the artist
1:53:33 he's brilliant that song is is like a
1:53:37 modern Bohemian rap city for mental
1:53:40 health it's brilliant it's brilliant so
1:53:44 if you struggle with that [ __ ] it's a
1:53:46 it's a really good even if you don't
1:53:47 struggle with that it's it's like the
1:53:49 it's one of the most honest heartfelt
1:53:52 performances I'll play a little of it
1:53:53 it's it's it's
1:53:58 [Applause]
1:54:00 [Music]
1:54:03 wild hi
1:54:10 R hey everyone this is John R today
1:54:12 we're gonna be talking about demand gen
1:54:13 campaigns and why they might look like
1:54:15 they're doing better than they
1:54:19 actually
1:54:24 good
1:54:34 [Music]
1:54:49 m
1:54:52 [Music]
1:55:16 [Applause]
1:55:19 B
1:55:21 [Music]
1:55:35 hi there it's been a little while did
1:55:37 you miss me you thought you buried me
1:55:39 didn't you risky cuz that always come
1:55:41 back down you know that
1:55:43 down r on you're pleased to see me it's
1:55:46 been weeks since we spoke bro I know you
1:55:47 need me you're the Sheep I'm the
1:55:48 shepherd not your place to Lead Me not
1:55:50 your place to be B of the hand that feed
1:55:52 me hi BR I've been taking some time to
1:55:54 be distant I've been taking some time to
1:55:56 be still I've been Tak some time to be
1:55:59 by myself since my therapist told me I'm
1:56:01 Ill so I won't play the whole thing but
1:56:03 it's [ __ ] brilliant it's it's a N9
1:56:05 and a half minute song and it's just
1:56:07 it's just staggering and it's it's it's
1:56:09 just these two voices in his head and
1:56:11 it's just I don't know it's it's it's
1:56:13 really quite brilliant so
1:56:15 anyways um for the mental health [ __ ]
1:56:18 like yeah
1:56:23 good I you know I don't know it's it's
1:56:26 the the burden of having a creative mind
1:56:28 is I think I think that comes with it is
1:56:30 that that voice right that voice of just
1:56:34 like you're not good
1:56:37 enough it comes with it it comes with it
1:56:40 you guys have another voice other than
1:56:42 the mean one
1:56:44 rutro which mean
1:56:47 one during these ages who isn't
1:56:49 struggling with it no [ __ ] really
1:56:51 right Ren is brilliant anyway I know Ren
1:56:54 by the way Ren that song is a
1:56:56 masterpiece like that song is is the one
1:56:59 that's kind of putting him on the map
1:57:00 right now but go like watch his street
1:57:02 busking music and watch his Jenny and
1:57:06 it's it's like Jenny and Stitch or flick
1:57:08 or I don't know just go watch all of his
1:57:10 M he's he's brilliant impostor syndrome
1:57:13 absolutely Ren is a genius Ren is a
1:57:16 genius and he's really humble he's
1:57:18 really like he he got totally taken off
1:57:21 guard when that song took off he was he
1:57:24 was not expecting it's a 9 and 1/2
1:57:26 minute song about you know mental
1:57:28 illness with him sitting in a in a
1:57:31 creepy you know wheelchair room with a
1:57:34 guy Wheels him in with a pig mask and
1:57:36 and just totally took off everyone that
1:57:39 I've seen like I've watched I've
1:57:40 probably watched 40 reaction videos to
1:57:44 that song There's not been a single
1:57:46 person that watches that song and
1:57:49 doesn't come out of it like I I don't
1:57:51 know what to say it's amazing so anyway
1:57:56 hi Ren by Ren yep that's it wow yeah
1:57:59 it's amazing lunar stick it's a good one
1:58:02 it's it's intense it's like but it's
1:58:04 good intense man it's it's it goes deep
1:58:09 he sort of runs you down the gauntlet
1:58:11 and then runs you back out of the thing
1:58:13 it's it's
1:58:15 cool um looks like Primus but just alone
1:58:19 yep the light lickers when bad Ren sings
1:58:21 oh my God there's also there's a thing
1:58:23 that he does when when bad Ren sings
1:58:26 that he he does a thumb slap on the
1:58:28 string and when good Ren sings it's it's
1:58:31 he's just you know fingerpicking it it's
1:58:34 all these subtle little performance
1:58:36 things in it are just
1:58:41 amazing intrusive thoughts for the win
1:58:47 exactly the Mad conversation
1:58:52 deep seems to be the theme tonight yeah
1:58:54 I know it's sometimes we go deep I'm a
1:58:56 I'm a little tired and punch drunk so um
1:58:59 but you know it like the the the channel
1:59:01 goes where it goes right it's just it's
1:59:03 kind of Whatever Gets pinned or whatever
1:59:06 whatever ends up there Kyle write a
1:59:07 oneman play about AI curious actor who
1:59:10 writes a
1:59:12 one-man play wait to tell his story
1:59:15 didn't we didn't we do that one night
1:59:17 I'm pretty sure I did that one night I
1:59:19 think think you're you're recalling
1:59:21 that
1:59:25 [Music]
1:59:30 um good one hen I never saw it thanks
1:59:33 yeah definitely go watch that one that
1:59:35 one's yeah there we go now we're getting
1:59:39 there yeah jrc holy [ __ ] this is so good
