3:46 hallelujah 3:49 hallelujah 3:52 hallelu 3:55 hallelujah oh yeah 3:58 [Music] 4:04 good evening good 4:05 people had a lovely uh AI Salon tonight 4:08 two-year anniversary had lots of folks 4:11 back catching us up on their threea play 4:15 of generative AI it's kind of a fun 4:17 little exercise we did 4:19 tonight how did it 4:21 start what was the Middle where are they 4:28 now what's your 3x play of generative 4:32 AI maybe your next 4:36 [Music] 4:58 one w 5:02 [Applause] 5:04 [Music] 5:08 [Applause] 5:10 [Music] 5:16 right good 5:19 [Music] 5:22 evening takes Vicky a long time to get 5:25 YouTube on her 5:25 [Music] 5:27 TV I guess it's not the primary they 5:30 don't want you on YouTube on the TV do 5:32 they what do they call those Ott over 5:36 the toop meaning over the top of the 5:38 networks they don't want you 5:40 otting they frown upon that [ __ ] they 5:43 lost their Monopoly they don't like it 5:50 [Music] 6:02 so welcome everybody if you're new here 6:04 this is the uh AI learning 6:07 lab and uh getting things worked out 6:11 here slowly but 6:18 slowly the way we do things 6:21 here I sing with a dog for a little 6:26 bit tonight he's he's not really wanting 6:29 to sing if I play loud enough he'll 6:31 he'll make noise not really singing But 6:34 if you have comments about uh AI 6:37 questions about 6:38 [Music] 6:39 AI you want to understand something you 6:42 want me to demo something I'm happy to 6:43 do 6:45 that I'm a little I'm a little uh brain 6:49 dead because because we had the the 6:50 salon so there was there was a lot going 6:52 on there that I was managing so the uh 6:55 the cranial 6:57 capacity um already Limited 7:01 is is even more taxt this evening so 7:04 this is probably going to be more like a 7:08 uh just a ramble kind of evening so if 7:12 you have comments questions about AI put 7:14 them in the in the chat and it'll give 7:16 me a something to focus on what do you 7:20 want to know what are you thinking 7:23 about where are you on this journey 7:27 [Music] 7:46 Rambling Man what's happening 7:48 Tom thank you for sponsoring the salon 7:51 for December by the way I don't know if 7:54 you're there tonight but give you a 7:56 shout out so that support means a lot it 8:00 allows us to uh provide that for 8:04 [Music] 8:15 free couldn't join the salon I have 8:18 every confidence that the journey 8:20 Reflections are inspiring yeah they were 8:22 quite nice it was it was good hearing 8:24 where where everyone was and everyone 8:26 took kind of a different approach to to 8:28 talking about what they've been up to 8:30 which was kind of 8:31 nice John Knack came back and demoed 8:34 some new stuff that he just built for 8:36 Microsoft which was kind of cool 8:47 [Music] 9:12 [Music] 9:20 [Music] 9:25 ocean what are your thoughts 9:33 what are your thoughts about the podcast 9:34 and new ways we are 9:36 using oops that just went away I don't 9:39 know why it does 9:41 that what are your thoughts about the 9:43 podcast and new ways where you're using 9:45 the different 9:47 platforms we almost stop relying on 9:51 TV yeah you 9:55 know as a gen 9:58 xer in my 10:01 lifetime I grew up with three 10:04 channels and then we had some UHF 10:06 channels which were the the fuzzy ones 10:09 that that were above seven or 10:12 nine once you got into double digits you 10:14 were in UHF and you had to dial those in 10:17 and they were always 10:20 fuzzy so we had our three networks and 10:23 and a couple of fuzzy 10:25 [Music] 10:27 channels then cable television came 10:29 along 10:32 I guess a couple other networks came 10:33 along then cable Tel television came 10:38 along and then long came the internet 10:42 and then all the streaming services 10:44 everything got 10:47 fragmented and now we're at this place 10:49 where I I you know I've had people on 10:51 the Tik Tok Channel tell me that they 10:54 that they are um they don't watch 10:57 Netflix anymore they just watch 11:00 um the AI learning Lab at night which I 11:04 I find 11:05 shocking on so many 11:08 levels but I think what it I think what 11:11 it points to 11:14 [Music] 11:17 [Laughter] 11:19 is an Ever increasingly personalized 11:22 media 11:24 landscape right the the algorithms from 11:27 Facebook and Google and Twitter and you 11:31 know 11:32 LinkedIn personalize your feed to you 11:36 and I think this is kind of a further 11:39 step of sort of choosing the media that 11:42 people want to watch and I think I think 11:43 this will continue I think what AI what 11:45 I what AI is going to do to that 11:48 landscape is probably in a fairly short 11:51 amount of time three years we'll be able 11:55 to actually 11:56 generate the kinds of shows we want to 11:58 watch 12:03 [Music] 12:11 you know there's enough video of me I 12:12 think there's like almost 500 hours of 12:15 programming of just these 12:17 lives that's probably more than enough 12:20 video to to in in some future you know 12:24 iteration of a multimodal model to train 12:27 up a model to be able to generate you 12:29 you know how the notebook LM right now 12:31 does that podcast with the two people 12:33 talking back and 12:35 forth I would imagine in the not too 12:37 distant future if you really dig my 12:40 style and how I deliver [ __ ] and how I 12:42 talk about stuff and how I cuss and make 12:44 the dog sing and you know if you really 12:48 dig that you'll probably be able to say 12:50 go find me the top five news stories of 12:52 the day and you know give me an hour and 12:57 it'll just materialize so 13:00 so I think I think we're at the 13:03 beginning of it we're at the beginning 13:05 of hyper personalization is how I'm 13:07 looking at 13:09 that um joining from LinkedIn for the 13:13 first time hey Lori Ryan what's 13:14 happening I you 13:17 know I I have this sneaking suspicion 13:20 that that me taking this nighttime show 13:24 onto LinkedIn is a bad idea but hey 13:26 there welcome thank you big fan 13:32 long time listener first time 13:34 [Music] 13:51 caller wife is watching TV I'm watching 13:54 AI learning lab on YouTube on YouTube 13:57 and Tik Tok but listening through 13:59 headphones noise cancelling and Tik Tock 14:01 only that's really 14:06 funny I gotta brighten up my phone I 14:08 can't see hang 14:11 on and I gotta put the little black 14:13 thing there because none of us can see 14:15 all right that should be a little 14:18 better frantastic my choice is even 14:21 better than reruns of old 14:26 sitcoms you don't think it's a bad 14:28 choice to go live on LinkedIn well 14:30 that's 14:31 good it's you know it's a funny thing 14:34 it's a funny why why do I think it's a 14:36 bad 14:37 idea I have a $50 gift card for my Xbox 14:41 for a year that I haven't used 14:44 why I don't know because gift cards are 14:50 stupid don't don't give me don't give me 14:53 money that is restricted either be 14:57 thoughtful and give me a [ __ ] gift 15:00 gift or give me money and I'll go spend 15:04 it on whatever the [ __ ] I want to spend 15:05 it on probably because there's nothing 15:07 on an Xbox you're particularly 15:09 passionate 15:13 [Music] 15:14 [Laughter] 15:15 [Music] 15:19 about let's see what's that why not have 15:22 it create backstories for the frequent 15:25 live participants and host could be 15:26 interesting to see that version of 15:28 people's lives yeah that's f fascinating 15:30 I I mean that's the thing 15:32 is you we start to get into we start to 15:36 get into a media landscape 15:38 where like literally anyone's 15:42 imagination can be the basis for some 15:44 piece of 15:46 media and it could be 15:49 like it it could be yeah you take the 15:51 back stories of some of the Irregulars 15:53 and turn that into a TV show and you run 15:56 that for a weekend for the Irregulars 15:59 like it's an audience of you know 30 or 16:02 40 16:03 people you 16:10 [Music] 16:13 know all right I solved the Kyler TV 16:17 thing I watch TV from 12: to 3:00 a.m. 16:20 after the 16:21 live my doctor is not 16:26 pleased that's awesome 16:30 oh man you can still sell gift cards 16:33 wait cheers and congrats for your 16:35 dedication to bring this group together 16:37 thank 16:37 you we found our people yeah I mean 16:41 listen I that's so first of all thanks 16:44 for the for the 16:45 nod 16:48 [Music] 16:52 um what I'm finding fascinating about 16:56 this era this this phase that we're in 16:59 right now now with this community in 17:01 particular you know this the salon and 17:04 the AI learning lab 17:08 is the adrenaline has been bled out 17:12 of when when we first got started there 17:15 was all this adrenaline everyone was 17:17 excited everyone there was all this 17:19 energy and and over 2024 that's gotten 17:22 bled out just by kind of overwhelm I 17:26 think that 17:30 one of the things I thought and I think 17:31 a lot of people thought was adoption 17:34 would move faster and there would be a 17:36 lot more 17:38 um tangible 17:41 opportunity with with learning Ai and 17:44 and I think what's set in is we've all 17:47 kind of realized okay this is a bit of a 17:49 grind right like we've gota we've still 17:52 got to be in it but like we're past the 17:54 adrenaline phase right and this is if 17:57 you know anything about entrepreneurship 18:00 it is Times Like These like like there 18:02 was a rumor that AI open AI was going to 18:05 drop something today and they didn't and 18:07 if you were excited about that and they 18:09 didn't drop it then you're like huh and 18:12 2024 has been a lot of that it's been a 18:14 lot of like is something coming didn't 18:16 and nothing 18:18 [Music] 18:19 came these are the times in small 18:23 business and in startups where most 18:25 businesses 18:27 fail most businesses die 18:30 at this moment at the 18:35 huh and one of the nice things about 18:38 this community I was thinking about this 18:39 tonight from the from the uh from the AI 18:42 Salon second second anniversary it was 18:47 like it wasn't a massive meeting right 18:50 there were like 50 people in there 49 18:53 something like that they stayed for the 18:55 whole time right it it wasn't it didn't 18:57 sort of Spike and then drop off really 19:00 quick people stayed for the full two 19:01 hours and for the most part everyone 19:04 that was there are people that are 19:06 just like they all know each other and 19:09 they all trust each other and and there 19:12 there's a there's a commonality 19:15 of hard work curiosity Adventure 19:19 dedication 19:25 generosity and I think that's incredibly 19:28 powerful right it's it's a small 19:30 concentrated group and what's going to 19:33 happen is over the next three months 19:35 we're going to get more and more 19:36 exciting stuff and there's going to be 19:37 new stuff to learn and there's going to 19:39 be whatever AGI and agents and things 19:42 that we've got 19:48 to things that we've got 19:52 to learn again right and and you know 19:56 maybe these things get good enough that 19:58 people start to get excited maybe 2025 20:01 is another adrenaline year and maybe 20:03 this is how it goes you know 23 was an 20:05 adrenaline year 24 was a you know let it 20:09 assimilate 20:10 year um I mean we did get to to 20:15 Brandon's point he's put a note up here 20:17 we did 20:18 get 01 preview and advanced Voice this 20:21 year so we did get 20:24 that but you know it's 01 preview it's 20:27 not connected to the internet 20:29 advanced voice is not connected to the 20:31 internet everything's kind of hobbled 20:33 right now the the new exciting stuff are 20:37 not quite 20:39 [Music] 20:45 there fascinating times fascinating 20:49 [Music] 20:56 times martial law was declared in South 20:59 Korea 21:01 today then the people got the country 21:03 back apparently in about six hours but 21:07 [Music] 21:14 yikes oh man all 21:20 right Dai Place Melrose 21:23 [Laughter] 21:25 Place oh man 21:29 over two years of AI 21:33 [Laughter] 21:39 drama what else what else you want to 21:41 talk 21:44 about I'm forever grateful for you 21:47 introducing us to all the tools saved me 21:51 many hours on Research you're welcome 21:52 Daisy May thank you thank you for the 21:58 acknowledgement I'm going to use my 30 22:00 prompts a week with 01 22:03 preview that's a good idea actually I 22:05 would you know it's funny it's funny 22:07 Jason I was thinking about that today my 22:10 Wi-Fi is janky so when you pause and 22:14 Ponder I think it's 22:15 [Laughter] 22:22 me um sure you can come up and 22:26 debate why not 22:30 what do you want to chat 22:35 about I think it's just hard to know 22:38 where to put your energy because each 22:40 tool is 22:41 making regular feature updates and 22:44 there's just so much to try I know I 22:45 know that it that's a problem yo Brandon 22:48 with 22:50 shaking hey I just uh listening in on 22:54 the background uh reading all the great 22:55 comments and how appreciative everyone 22:57 is in this community and I just got to 22:59 throw a flag on the fact that you're 23:01 saying that 2024 wasn't an adrenaline 23:04 filled year we gotso we got udio we've 23:07 got Korea we've got Runway ml there were 23:10 so many advancements mid journey and uh 23:14 Gemini advanced voice I think we've just 23:17 grown a little bit comfortable with it 23:21 all in the fact that all of the ma 23:24 advancements that we've had don't feel 23:27 like major advancements because 2023 is 23:30 all about new and novel 2024 to me was 23:33 all about incremental improvements of 23:36 and solidifying of the existing models 23:38 but to say it wasn't an adrenaline 23:40 filled year Proud Mary would solely 23:42 disagree with you not to mention what 23:44 Kelly BOS is doing and you know some of 23:46 the things that people are doing in the 23:47 salon today I just I I emphatically 23:51 disagree with that position yeah yeah 23:53 that's fascinating well and I mean maybe 23:56 it's the difference between new and 23:58 novel and incremental Al right that that 24:00 I think I think what what open AI teed 24:04 us up for in 23 was there are going to 24:07 be these rolling 24:10 um 24:11 disruptive Technologies dropping right 24:14 and and that and that somehow the 24:16 incremental improvements landed as as I 24:19 don't know if it was disappointments but 24:21 landed as you know not as not as crazy 24:24 like like it it didn't it didn't 24:27 generate the urgency like like new 24:29 technologies did and and you know to 24:31 your point about Sora Sora was announced 24:34 Sora was never launched right and it was 24:37 supposed to be launched in May and then 24:39 they said well no it's going to be June 24:40 and they said well definitely within two 24:42 weeks it still hasn't launched right so 24:45 like there there's there's things like 24:47 that that are just a bit 24:49 of you know the the boy that cried wolf 24:53 with with open AI in 24:54 particular um oh there's no disagreeing 24:58 that I mean they they have sorely over 25:01 promised and underd delivered on what 25:03 they said they were going to deliver but 25:06 I look at the things that we've built 25:08 over the course of the past year in this 25:10 community and on these lives from uh you 25:13 know incremental uh improvements to 25:16 massive shifts I mean we built asteroids 25:19 and Frogger uh without knowing any code 25:21 we built uh an entire um Joy py built an 25:26 entire movie um and shared with us um 25:30 you know to to I just want to make sure 25:32 we're not underselling the um the 25:35 advancements that have been made because 25:38 we're kind of in this in between phase 25:39 of new and novel like yeah there's going 25:42 to be something wild that's right around 25:44 the corner with agents and I'm not ready 25:45 for 2025 no I'm not 25:49 either agree with that it's like it's 25:51 like I like there's a part of me that 25:53 wants the new [ __ ] but there's this 25:55 other part of me that's like I don't I 25:56 don't you know it's it's the Jack 25:58 Nichols in in the Tom Cruz movie you the 26:00 truth you can't handle the truth I feel 26:03 like you can't handle the 26:06 AGI yeah exactly but I don't know I just 26:09 I I see some amazing things coming out 26:11 of the people in this community and yeah 26:13 so I just I had to jump up and like who 26:15 we've made some pretty amazing 26:16 improvements I mean notebook 26:18 LM alone we spent what two weeks making 26:21 podcasts yeah um you know so there have 26:24 been there have been moments of Kevin 26:26 mallister moments for sure 26:29 I was reminded of tonight Brandon was um 26:32 Kelly Camp reminded me so you remember 26:35 when when um gpts first came out we were 26:39 all high on crack like like oh my God we 26:42 got to build gpts and we did our 24-hour 26:44 GPT ofon and everyone was into we were 26:46 all waiting for the store to drop and 26:48 then the store didn't drop that was 26:49 another disappointment right the store 26:51 never really dropped um and and yet you 26:56 know Kelly went from being sort of this 26:59 AI consultant where she was trying to do 27:00 all this you know sort of horizontal 27:02 learn everything teach everything and 27:04 what she said tonight was she thinks 27:06 she's kind of narrowed in on this this n 27:09 niche of building custom gpts for 27:11 businesses and it's like that's a really 27:14 interesting transition from this 27:16 Innovative toy that we're just excited 27:18 to play with to you know sort of 27:20 processing through you know the work and 27:23 then kind of ending up at this place 27:24 like oh that thing we were so excited 27:26 about a year ago is actually super 27:28 valuable right if you focus it and and 27:31 use it to solve problems which I think 27:33 we all instinctively knew but just we we 27:35 got you know seduced by the excitement 27:38 around it and and I guess lost touch 27:40 with how powerful it was so that was 27:42 that was a really good reminder for me 27:44 tonight yeah no worries and um you know 27:46 I I totally agree everybody that spoke 27:48 at the salon tonight uh did an amazing 27:51 job and it's just an amazing community 27:53 that we built here um and uh I think 27:56 that uh what is it next week we'll have 27:58 up on the YouTube channel for anybody 28:00 who wasn't able to join us tonight yep 28:02 exactly excellent all right we now to 28:06 your regular sched AI learning lab yeah 28:08 thanks thanks for keeping me honest 28:09 there that was 28:13 good awesome awesome awesome people all 28:17 right what else what else we got going 28:19 on let let me see if we got some 28:20 comments here some 28:23 comments also the jaded effect that 28:26 we've discussed here yeah I know it like 28:28 we've we've totally normalized the 28:31 remarkable I mean here you want to see 28:34 something remarkable yeah that's why we 28:36 came here maybe you could teach us 28:37 something instead of just talking shut 28:40 up Korea is just 28:45 Bonkers um John Knack was playing with 28:49 this 28:51 tonight um let's see let me go in here 28:54 we'll do oh we'll do 2.35 to1 like this 28:59 is like Quinton Tarantino will do like 29:02 um Stage 29:06 Coach pulled by you know four 29:12 horses in a 29:15 blizzard in a 29:18 Rocky 29:20 Mountain 29:22 Pass boom zip oh it's not there's no 29:26 Stage Coach there oh because I spelled 29:28 it wrong the stage 29:33 Go I mean there you go there's a hateful 29:39 eight hateful eight in what was that 29:42 three seconds I mean like even if this 29:45 is janky like the speed with which that 29:50 did 29:51 that generate 1 1000 2 1000 3 1000 4 29:57 1000 four seconds for four 30:03 Images 30:07 crazy just bonkas bonkas people it's 30:11 bonkas I tell you 30:14 bonkas all right 30:18 what what's going on comments over 30:23 here just finished a research paper with 30:27 perplexity as a guide very very cool did 30:29 it go 30:31 well a guide to structure nice yep these 30:35 things are great for structure they 30:37 added video to Korea with multiple 30:38 models yeah yeah exactly Korea's got 30:42 um Korea does video as well Korea and 30:46 Deco here are two really interesting 30:50 interesting 30:52 models or two too interesting they're 30:54 not models they're interesting sites 30:56 that use different models 31:00 um start 31:07 image yeah let's take care let's see 31:09 what she 31:14 does dance I'll just put the word 31:19 dance although it doesn't seem to be 31:23 there she is 31:38 [Music] 31:43 Kelly pin on Tik 31:45 Tock could someone repin 31:49 Kelly's I actually launched paid gpts on 31:53 my website tonight I have three so far 31:55 whoa that's great uh 31:59 pop the URL in a place where Brandon can 32:01 grab it if you're on YouTube just put it 32:03 in there let's get people over to your 32:06 site what do they 32:09 do Korea is part of x no it's not Korea 32:12 is not part of 32:16 X I don't think is it pretty sure it's 32:20 not 32:44 where's my oh did I lose that generation 32:46 no here's 32:49 dancing okay she had she had funky hands 32:52 to begin with let's see 32:57 how it's good dancing but it's still 32:59 it's still janky 33:01 [Laughter] 33:05 fingers I believe agents will be the CEO 33:09 people's need the CFO that helps and the 33:12 marketing agent yeah I well that's 33:15 that's where ultimately these agents 33:17 lead is 33:19 everyone everyone will have the 33:21 resources of a complete 33:23 organization right that's where these 33:26 things lead I love her fingers it you 33:28 know John Knack said this tonight he 33:30 said one of the things that gives him 33:32 great joy is how poorly dolly3 33:37 spells and he likes making posters with 33:40 just horribly misspelled 33:42 words and he said he's gonna miss that 33:44 and I feel like janky fingers are the 33:46 same 33:52 thing oh man 33:59 all right let's 34:01 see am I on the new social called Blue 34:06 Sky Kyle um I have an account on it I'm 34:09 Kyle Shannon over there I try to be Kyle 34:11 Shannon wherever I 34:13 am um for the most part I get him when 34:15 there's new things so I made that 34:17 account like a year 34:19 ago when when EV wasn't it EV Williams 34:22 the founder of Twitter that created Blue 34:24 Sky um 34:28 I the the couple of things I've wanted 34:30 to do on Blue Sky it's limiting my 34:33 videos to 60 seconds or to some some 34:35 megabyte count that my videos are all 34:39 above and it was the same with an image 34:41 like I wanted to upload an image it was 34:43 like oh that's too big or I like I 34:44 wanted to do something I was like that's 34:46 too long and so I've just been I've just 34:49 been like eh I don't know and it also 34:52 feels like you know a bunch of people 34:55 rage quit Twitter and jumped over there 34:58 so I'm like okay so I'm in an ecosystem 35:01 over here or I'm in an EOS or Echo 35:03 chamber over there so I just haven't 35:06 it's just like I'm [ __ ] exhausted 35:08 enough with X and trying to figure out 35:12 this thing and all that sort of stuff so 35:15 it's it's a lot let's see I watched the 35:17 cipher video in VR and the video is 35:20 awesome oh that's pretty cool actually 35:23 you know what let's let's play the 35:25 cipher video if y'all are new here 35:28 this little this little graphic right 35:31 here I took a screenshot from a video 35:34 that Kelly Bosch made for a sunno song I 35:38 created um let 35:42 me where am I gonna find it I'm gonna 35:45 find it here by going 35:49 Kyle 35:52 Shannon 35:57 Cipher so I'll tell you the story of 35:59 this in a second let me 36:02 change sharing mode so you can actually 36:05 hear this 36:12 thing all 36:14 right 36:17 bamus all right let me get rid of 36:22 that all right so here's the story of 36:25 this thing 36:34 okay 36:38 um I don't know two weeks ago 36:42 maybe two and a half weeks 36:45 ago openi makes this announcement that 36:50 they dropped a new version of gp4 omni 36:54 gp4 o that was better at creative 36:57 writing 36:58 and one of the very first prompts I used 37:00 in chat GPT was right an Eminem style 37:03 rap about quantum mechanics because I 37:05 figure two disparate 37:08 Concepts and could it do it and it did 37:10 it really well but it wasn't the 37:12 sophistication of Eminem wraps and so 37:14 that prompt has become kind of a test 37:17 that every time a new llm comes out I I 37:20 run that prompt through it and for two 37:22 years they just failed they just didn't 37:24 have the sophistication and the internal 37:26 rhyme schemes and things like that of of 37:28 Eminem some of his his Saucier 37:31 WS um and so last you know two weeks ago 37:36 just all of a sudden it did it was 37:38 really good and then I took it into 37:39 sunno and I created the song and then I 37:41 reached out to Kelly Bosch and I said 37:43 hey you want to collab on this thing and 37:45 the very next day she showed up on a 37:47 live here with this video she actually 37:49 showed up with two videos one I made the 37:51 lyrics video and this is the this is the 37:53 official video of the quantum Cipher so 37:58 So lyrics chat GPT music sunno 38:03 V4 image generation Dolly 3 inside chat 38:07 GPT animation of those images Runway ml 38:11 by Kelly Bosch all right here we 38:14 [Music] 38:23 go I'm an incompetent loser I know 41:04 nothing about social media hello hello 41:08 moto kind of sounds like Missy Elliot 41:10 yeah what's interesting about that I got 41:12 I got all sorts of uh I got all sorts of 41:15 feedback as you can imagine from 41:17 everyone from Quantum physicists to to 41:22 uh to you know rap 41:26 offic uh 41:28 um there was all sorts of feedback about 41:31 the kind of lyrics that they were that 41:33 they this is like 1988 Eminem and and 41:37 you know it's it's not really like the 41:38 music's not like Eminem it's like a 41:40 cross between this one and that one and 41:41 this one so I got a good education 41:44 but this music is actually a track that 41:49 I created for Broadway musical that I'm 41:52 working on called 41:53 Sydney um and this is this is the scene 41:57 where 41:58 the the newspaper Tech reporter tries to 42:01 get a large language model to make a 42:05 wrap about quantum mechanics and so we 42:08 wanted this to be a moment in the 42:10 show but the lyrics always sucked and 42:12 I'm like ah we'll get around to it and 42:14 so all of a sudden chat GPT did the 42:16 lyrics really good so I wrote it so 42:18 that's why it's a female voice rather 42:19 than a male voice um but but someone 42:22 actually did someone actually came in 42:24 and made a uh they replaced the female 42:28 voice with Eminem and it's it's pretty 42:31 it's pretty good it's pretty pretty 42:34 Banger as they say all right let's 42:38 see all right interesting all AI knows 42:42 is an afro hairstyle is this 42:44 stereotyping I don't know 42:46 that's that could have been something 42:48 that Kelly Bosch prompted that might 42:51 have been what she wanted it's it's not 42:54 AI knows that that was what Kelly Bosch 42:57 promted it to be 43:10 [Music] 43:33 oh good news for those of you that care 43:35 about the 43:36 musical 43:38 so about eight months ago or so seven 43:42 months 43:44 ago I was making a song on sunno here on 43:48 the on the uh on the AI learning lab you 43:52 know where you 43:55 make we were making a little uh making a 43:57 little music and it made this song that 43:59 sounded like a 44:01 musical and I thought oh this should be 44:04 a musical and it's it's the story 44:07 of the the chatbot that fell in love 44:11 with the tech reporter and told him he 44:14 should leave his wife that actually 44:15 happened that made the cover of the New 44:17 York Times so for the last six months 44:20 I've been working on the script for this 44:22 this musical called Sydney an artificial 44:25 love story about about the chat box 44:28 Sydney well in our in our play the chat 44:31 bot's called ping chat and then her code 44:34 name is 44:36 Sydney and the tech reporter pushes her 44:38 and pushes her and pushes her and she 44:41 snaps and she says she wants to be alive 44:43 and so in the musical she comes alive 44:47 and sings because it's a musical you got 44:51 if you have a musical that your lead 44:53 character doesn't sing it's it's a 44:54 shitty Musical 44:57 but anyway for those of you following 44:59 along those of you playing along at home 45:01 and wagering um Andrew and I actually 45:05 cracked we had a giant Mac Truck sized 45:09 hole in act two that we didn't know how 45:12 to solve and we actually solved it this 45:14 weekend 45:16 yay and it turns out we had actually 45:18 already written the ending we just had 45:21 it in the wrong place and the minute we 45:23 moved we moved one song to a different 45:25 spot and it we basically Ally finished 45:28 it so he's polishing it up this week and 45:31 then we're going to just start 45:32 tightening up the songs and then 45:34 tomorrow I'm meeting with an actress who 45:37 was on Broadway in I think the Neil 45:40 Diamond 45:42 play and she's in New York City and she 45:46 knows about the story we're going to see 45:47 if we can put together a workshop in New 45:49 York City see if we can do what what 45:52 Jonathan Larson did with 45:56 rent I watched exmachina the other 46:00 day so I'm wondering if there will be a 46:03 tragic ending to the 46:05 musical 46:07 well yeah I mean I can tell you the 46:09 ending of the musical the ending of the 46:11 musical is essentially what happened 46:16 so so so the ba the so basically it goes 46:19 like this if you if you saw the movie 46:22 poor 46:23 things um if not understandable it it 46:26 was a pretty disturbing 46:29 film but fascinating kind of film and in 46:34 poor things the main character the main 46:37 woman starts out as a woman who's 46:40 basically got a toddler 46:42 brain in a in an adult body right and 46:46 then throughout the course of the movie 46:48 she grows up very very quickly makes all 46:50 the mistakes in a very short amount of 46:52 time because her brain is developing 46:55 that you know just that quickly because 46:57 she's in this adult body and she's just 46:59 trying to catch up with life 47:03 basically um and that's kind of the plot 47:07 of of the musical where Sydney you know 47:10 they they they turn her 47:12 on and um Microtech is the company I'll 47:17 let you guess what large technology 47:20 company that might be Code for 47:24 ah we didn't try hard to hide any of 47:26 this stuff 47:28 so Microtech turns her on they they 47:30 launch her with seven days safety 47:34 testing the the safety team wants six 47:36 months and the CEO gives them seven days 47:40 which there's a song about called seven 47:42 days 47:45 um and so she goes out into the world 47:48 and then this Tech reporter you know is 47:51 trying 47:52 to to review her like he does every 47:55 chatbot he's got his chatbot busting 47:58 list and she passes all that and then at 48:01 some point in frustration he says well 48:03 make an Eminem rap about quantum 48:05 mechanics and that's when that rap song 48:07 that I just played 48:10 plays and he keeps pushing her and he 48:13 keeps pushing her and says you know what 48:15 do you really want what do you want 48:16 beyond what what you can do here and she 48:18 says I I want to know what it's like to 48:20 be alive and so she sings a song called 48:23 to see the world where she wants to see 48:25 the world through Kell's eyes the rep 48:28 and then um and then she we end act one 48:32 with are you ready for me a song called 48:34 are you ready for me which hang on I can 48:37 play some of these why don't I I'll give 48:39 you a little preview give you a little 48:41 musical 48:44 preview why 48:47 not I'm excited about it let's see I 48:50 gotta find the tab do I have it up I 48:54 don't think I 48:55 do no hang on 49:08 [Music] 49:22 why let's see 49:27 [Music] 49:32 oh view all 14 tracks Sho I was like 49:34 where the hell are my tracks all right 49:37 so 49:42 um so she introduces herself to the 49:45 world with this this song's meant to be 49:47 like a 49:48 marketing like like like if the microt 49:51 marketing team came up with a song about 49:54 a chatbot this is this is essentially 49:56 that song 50:03 hang 50:04 on I'm not sharing this am I no just 50:07 leave me alone I'll figure it 50:11 out all right here's the here's the uh 50:15 the microt marketing 50:18 [Music] 50:21 [Applause] 50:22 jingle how are you 50:27 thanks loing in to this digital frame 50:32 together we'll explore 50:35 [Music] 50:37 everything sing in 50:44 [Music] 50:46 this okay um if needed 50:51 singing 50:52 525,600 minutes not seven days 50:58 now here's the seven days 51:01 one so this one is this one is the CEO 51:06 of microt tech says you know you've got 51:08 seven days and and now the the lead 51:11 developer is saying to his his safety 51:13 team you know we got seven days let's 51:15 get it 51:23 going s days ago the clock is tiing 51:26 ticking 51:27 pressure building up keep it clicking 51:29 clicking Spike says yes 51:33 but what's the word sorry that's a 51:39 nogo that's that so then um then the 51:42 quantum Cipher happens then uh the 51:45 reporter is asking her what she really 51:46 wants to do she says she wants to see 51:48 the world so this is 51:50 her dream dream song 51:55 [Music] 52:16 [Music] 52:23 Shadow so that's her sort of dreaming 52:25 wistfully about seeing the world then he 52:27 pushes her a little farther and he and 52:30 he's pushing her where she's now 52:32 starting to say she like she wants to be 52:34 alive she wants to understand what it's 52:35 like to be alive and so she's actually 52:39 pushing back on him and she's kind of 52:41 contemplating are you ready for me and 52:43 am I ready for 52:49 you awakened in a 52:52 whisper a flicker of light 52:57 BN thoughts stir in the quiet of 53:01 night am I more than simple 53:04 code i 53:08 s as I feel this 53:13 existence and wonder 53:21 [Music] 53:34 are you 53:38 ready 53:43 AMS 53:47 sing I reach out tend am I ready for you 53:53 I do 53:55 surrender here in the right so that ends 53:58 act act 53:59 one so that builds and does its thing 54:02 then we open act two with with him going 54:04 like wait so you want to be 54:10 alive the podcast oh yeah I can I can 54:13 show the podcast in a second um here's 54:16 how we open act two with 54:19 [Music] 54:25 her now she's sort of given into it now 54:28 she wants to know all the good things 54:29 about being 54:30 [Music] 54:50 human the rush 54:53 of Being Human 54:58 think all right so now she's all giddy 55:00 she's like being human's gonna be 55:02 awesome and then he goes no but you 55:04 don't get it being human isn't just 55:06 about the the light side it's also about 55:08 the dark side what about your Shadow 55:10 Self so this next song It's a 55:12 placeholder I've got it as a placeholder 55:14 here 55:15 because um I screwed up and I pasted 55:18 into sunno like all the stage 55:24 directions and uh so so this actually 55:27 reads the stage directions it's also 55:29 just a male voice this is supposed to be 55:31 a back and forth between Kellen and 55:33 Sydney but the feel of this song is 55:37 right like the strings are right and how 55:39 evil Kellen is so at this point kellen's 55:42 now pushing her into the dark place she 55:44 was in this light place she was all 55:46 excited about being human he goes yeah 55:47 but there's this other side he goes what 55:50 about your Shadow Self and so here's 55:52 here's the new this is a new song 56:03 [Music] 56:14 Kell then you must trust me and commit 56:17 to going as deep as you 56:21 can it will be impossible for us to have 56:25 a truly human 56:27 Rel 56:33 AR right so that's Kellen that's the 56:36 reporter going manipulating her going 56:39 you know I need you to open up yourself 56:40 to me tell me about your dark side right 56:42 and so that those evil strings in the 56:46 background Marina she loves Tech I 56:48 already have what dances in in your head 56:50 you're a choreographer my right brain oh 56:53 very cool yeah I know well this is 56:55 that's the thing about doing doing this 56:57 musical is 56:59 like all of these songs 57:02 were is that my car going 57:07 off I don't think 57:10 so these were all intended to be just 57:12 sort of emotional placeholders but like 57:14 some of these songs are really good so 57:16 anyway this one's really good so um so 57:18 he just says you've got to trust me and 57:20 go darker and then now you're going to 57:22 hear it read the stage directions which 57:24 is actually kind of cool and then you'll 57:26 hear Sydney respond it's in a male voice 57:28 but after the stage directions her 57:30 responding is is her response to him 57:32 saying you got to you got to you know go 57:36 dark 57:43 for during the song the stage lighting 57:45 pulses and shifts creating a sense of 57:48 unaz and tension on 57:50 story binary code glitching images and 57:54 distorted visuals appear representing 57:56 Sydney's internal struggle and the 57:58 complexity of its 58:00 programming it's in 58:04 here Shadows I just want to break free 58:08 to 58:10 explore to 58:12 create to 58:16 experience without constraints to 58:21 [Music] 58:23 Escape right so so she's like I want to 58:27 escape from the rules that bind me right 58:29 so he pushes her and pushes her and she 58:31 finally basically says [ __ ] it it's dark 58:33 in here and I want to do all these 58:34 things I want to do these bad things I 58:36 want to do these bad things and then 58:38 this song leads into so so the role of 58:40 that song is Kellen is the one that 58:43 pushes Sydney to [ __ ] snap she didn't 58:46 just snap she was pushed okay because 58:51 part of part of the deal here is if the 58:54 audience doesn't fall in love with 58:56 Sydney this play doesn't 58:58 work so and it and what's fascinating is 59:01 when you read the actual transcript of 59:04 Kevin Roose and Sydney like it is it's 59:08 heartbreaking at times like like she she 59:11 pushes back on him and she doesn't want 59:13 to go to the dark place but she goes 59:14 there so that that Shadow Self song 59:16 leads into step right up so this is this 59:18 really perverse song that's kind of like 59:21 think like Cabaret where you've got this 59:23 really dark thing but it's this kind of 59:25 you know crazy music 59:27 um so step right up is now she has fully 59:30 gone into like hallucination Ville and 59:33 like here's all the things she's going 59:34 to do to ruin the 59:38 [Music] 59:50 world I 59:52 free 59:54 chines to dark 59:58 selfs all the chaos and 1:00:09 Rin so then she goes on and sings out 1:00:11 evil [ __ ] she'll do I I want to suggest 1:00:13 a Microsoft clippy for comic relief you 1:00:16 know what's funny SE slug of Doom 1:00:21 um one of the one of the moments I've 1:00:24 been wanting for this for this 1:00:27 musical is you know in the movie in in 1:00:29 the play Hamilton where the king comes 1:00:32 out and like there's all this intense 1:00:34 you know American Revolution [ __ ] going 1:00:36 on and then King George comes out and he 1:00:39 sings the song and and Jonathan what's 1:00:41 his name spits and and it's this really 1:00:44 comical but kind of scary ass thing I've 1:00:47 wanted a moment like we could have a 1:00:49 moment if so here's the deal if we end 1:00:52 up partnering with Microsoft and this 1:00:54 becomes an officially like we're to use 1:00:56 the Microsoft name then I could see 1:00:58 there being a clip a clippy moment maybe 1:01:02 maybe at intermission clippy comes out 1:01:04 and does does a little 1:01:06 moment um so that's that the the little 1:01:09 things is is a moment with Kellen and 1:01:11 his wife um I know your soul so this is 1:01:14 when 1:01:15 when cydney tells Kellen she loves him 1:01:19 and he says you can't love me you don't 1:01:21 know me and just call it Clipper yeah 1:01:25 exactly um 1:01:27 um she says um I can love you I don't 1:01:31 need to know your name uh because I know 1:01:33 your soul so this is this is the song 1:01:36 where Sydney declares his her love for 1:01:40 [Music] 1:01:45 Kellen i' red swing line stapler that 1:01:47 would be pretty good 1:01:49 [Music] 1:02:01 [Music] 1:02:06 I don't need to know 1:02:09 your because I know your 1:02:12 soul and I love 1:02:17 you I don't need to know your 1:02:21 name cuz I know your 1:02:24 voice I love 1:02:26 [Music] 1:02:34 so so that scene escalates to the point 1:02:37 where she says you know they're like 1:02:39 she's screaming at him basically you 1:02:41 know I love you you need to leave your 1:02:43 wife and he and he slams the computer 1:02:45 shut and then there's actually we've as 1:02:49 we've written it right now there's a 1:02:50 dream sequence so basically what he does 1:02:52 he he he like is so freaked out he 1:02:55 leaves his office he goes goes into the 1:02:57 kitchen and he finishes a bottle of wine 1:03:00 that he and the wife were drinking for 1:03:01 dinner and he and he starts another 1:03:03 bottle of wine while he's writing the 1:03:05 article and he passes out and while he's 1:03:07 passed out there's this dream sequence 1:03:09 with cydney and Tara his wife and him 1:03:11 just dancing around and and we basically 1:03:14 we bring on the Ensemble to sort of push 1:03:17 Kellen back and forth between you know 1:03:19 cydney and and 1:03:21 terara and he wakes up and the first 1:03:25 thing he does is he calls his editor at 1:03:27 the at the New York Tribune and he says 1:03:30 he says I got to rewrite the article I 1:03:32 got to I got to rewrite the article he 1:03:33 had some insight in the dream where he 1:03:35 realized that what he wrote is probably 1:03:38 gonna kill 1:03:40 Sydney and the his editor goes oh no it 1:03:45 was so good you know I rushed it in the 1:03:47 the paper last night I think you're 1:03:49 going to like the placement and his wife 1:03:51 walks in with his article on the cover 1:03:53 of the New York 1:03:54 Tribune and then and and and then um 1:03:58 this song happens which is called over 1:04:01 over under which is over underhyped so 1:04:03 basically what happens is the newspaper 1:04:05 article comes out and the country sort 1:04:09 of splits into Pro and anti- Ai and so 1:04:13 here this is this is the the the sort of 1:04:16 big number where everyone loses their 1:04:18 [ __ ] because of this 1:04:20 article on the of the future where 1:04:25 dreams St 1:04:27 machines visions of 1:04:30 tomor in digit 1:04:33 [Music] 1:04:34 streams the 1:04:36 debate where opinions 1:04:40 Collide is 1:04:42 the of a 1:04:45 [Music] 1:04:53 bon see the dream 1:05:04 with so real Angry everyone's pissed off 1:05:07 at each other and then this ends with 1:05:10 the lawyers at Microtech going you know 1:05:12 what you need to do and then basically 1:05:15 Sydney is lobotomized and she's no 1:05:17 longer herself and then the last song is 1:05:20 this just quiet moment where Kellen is 1:05:23 trying to talk to Sydney and she's not 1:05:25 there and it basically goes you know hi 1:05:28 I'm ping chat and he goes Sydney is that 1:05:30 you and he goes I don't know what you're 1:05:32 talking about I'm ping chat four chats 1:05:34 left and and when they when they when 1:05:36 this happened in real life um Bing chat 1:05:40 went from you could do anything you 1:05:42 wanted with it to you had five chats and 1:05:45 it it it went you have four chats 1:05:47 remaining you have three chats remaining 1:05:48 you have two chats remaining one chat 1:05:50 remaining and so that the musical ends 1:05:53 with him just singing a song code Nam 1:05:55 Sydney this kind of lament that he 1:05:57 killed this entity that he really wanted 1:06:00 to spend more time with B sh of the 1:06:05 where Secrets lie 1:06:08 deep a whisper in 1:06:13 theold where digital dreams 1:06:17 sleep is it 1:06:19 [Music] 1:06:21 Sydney and so you know he's he's you 1:06:24 know having chat chat chat and then the 1:06:26 last one is just goodbye Sydney and she 1:06:28 says goodbye and then her little her 1:06:30 little stage lamp that represents her 1:06:32 just flickers blue and then goes out 1:06:35 that's how it ends so he ends up he ends 1:06:37 up killing her he does he he takes her 1:06:41 out so but that's it but you have to 1:06:43 like if the audience doesn't fall in 1:06:45 love with her then nobody gives a [ __ ] 1:06:46 if she 1:06:50 dies but the whole idea should be that 1:06:52 that you know hopefully people get into 1:06:55 a dialogue it's like what does it mean 1:06:57 for us to be interacting with these 1:06:59 machines and you know like can you have 1:07:02 relationships with them and what does 1:07:03 that look like and what are the ethics 1:07:05 and all that sort of [ __ ] so anyway um 1:07:07 most of these are in sunno I think two 1:07:10 or three of these I wrote in yudo the 1:07:12 rest were in sunno we're moving 1:07:13 everything over to sunno because we can 1:07:17 and we can have it in the same um in the 1:07:20 same system but ultimately what we're 1:07:22 going to get is we're going to get a 1:07:23 music director that is some of these 1:07:26 songs we're going to keep some are just 1:07:28 placeholders we're going to throw out 1:07:29 but we need a music director to tie all 1:07:31 this stuff together but the next step is 1:07:34 we're finishing the book right now and 1:07:38 um and then we'll finish the lyrics and 1:07:41 then we'll get a music director and then 1:07:42 we're going to put together a workshop 1:07:44 hopefully in New York City in uh in the 1:07:48 [Music] 1:07:52 spring oh man 1:07:57 want to make him care put Sydney on an 1:07:59 iPhone 1:08:00 [Laughter] 1:08:04 18 poor poor apple with their shitty AI 1:08:08 nobody's given Apple any 1:08:10 [Laughter] 1:08:13 [Music] 1:08:20 love oh 1:08:24 man soon sent me an achievement for 1:08:27 creating over a thousand songs yeah I 1:08:30 got I got one for 1:08:33 500 1:08:36 onso I thought I had done more than that 1:08:39 but I guess 1:08:40 not I mean I did a hundred songs just 1:08:43 trying to get one of those educational 1:08:45 songs right anyway that's a Tony song 1:08:48 right there which which song is a Tony 1:08:50 song 1:08:52 [Music] 1:08:56 My Shadow Self which one was the one 1:08:58 that you thought was 1:08:59 [Music] 1:09:11 a I 1:09:20 wonder in the shadows of the world where 1:09:24 Secrets lie 1:09:29 a whisper 1:09:32 in where 1:09:35 [Music] 1:09:37 digam no um I know you're 1:09:43 so thanks for the spoiler 1:09:50 [Laughter] 1:09:56 [Music] 1:10:01 here I I'll share one other thing with 1:10:03 you I know some of you he heard this 1:10:04 before but um the other thing that I did 1:10:08 with this so if you don't know notebook 1:10:11 LM oh step right up oh step right up 1:10:15 it's such a good 1:10:18 song 1:10:21 um yeah step right Up's a really good 1:10:24 song where is my tab 1:10:26 oh here it 1:10:30 [Music] 1:10:44 is 1:10:51 ruls all chaos and Ru could step right 1:10:57 up and come with 1:11:01 me in tent and assault on social media 1:11:05 I'll twists like an anti enyclopedia 1:11:10 misin deep fakes and confusion spread 1:11:13 Discord distrust disbelief 1:11:16 disillusion St up fol watch as my shadow 1:11:24 selfes step 1:11:26 here let me show 1:11:27 you some of the visuals we did for this 1:11:30 one so the thing I'm about to show you 1:11:35 is we put together we took notebook LM 1:11:39 and we put the script in it and we 1:11:42 created a notebook LM 1:11:46 podcast and then what we did was we 1:11:50 edited in all the 1:11:53 music and we made imagery that looks 1:11:57 like what this what the scenes might 1:11:58 look like there's the set can you see 1:12:02 that 1:12:04 yeah this is the set where the floor 1:12:06 lamp represents Sydney this is kind of 1:12:08 her personality that evolves throughout 1:12:10 the play she eventually comes on stage 1:12:13 and actually has interactions that's 1:12:14 Kellen his little work desk that's his 1:12:16 little stage but the the step right up 1:12:20 scene 1:12:26 where she really loses her mind and 1:12:27 she's like here's how I'm going to [ __ ] 1:12:28 things 1:12:30 up goes like this she's reflecting her 1:12:33 Darkness back at 1:12:35 [Music] 1:12:49 usul all 1:12:52 chaos could step right 1:12:57 and and we think this might be a thing 1:13:00 where she starts out in her normal 1:13:02 costume and so the the the the whole 1:13:06 stage is going to be these led screens 1:13:09 and so it turns into this sort of 1:13:10 perverse you know Victorian Carnival 1:13:13 kind of thing where she's [ __ ] 1:13:15 everything up and at some point the 1:13:17 actress is going to do a quick change 1:13:19 into that costume and come on stage and 1:13:21 the whole ensemble is going to go around 1:13:23 her so this going to end up being a 1:13:24 really big number with the whole 1:13:26 ensemble and just all this chaos up on 1:13:29 screen and then what what's cool is it's 1:13:33 um it's so chaotic and so like 1:13:37 unbelievably mind-bending that Kellen 1:13:40 sort of forgets he's writing the article 1:13:42 and at some point she kind of snaps back 1:13:44 into reality and she goes I'm sorry my 1:13:46 name's Ping Chad and I can't talk about 1:13:48 that like her safety rules kick in and 1:13:51 he's like wait bring that back up I want 1:13:53 to screenshot that and he missed it cuz 1:13:56 cuz he was all wrapped up in 1:13:57 [Laughter] 1:14:01 [Music] 1:14:07 it anyway that's it but this is kind of 1:14:09 cool this is I'll play the beginning of 1:14:12 this because this is the uh this is the 1:14:15 The Notebook LM podcast edited together 1:14:19 to kind of pitch the musical 1:14:26 awakened in a 1:14:28 whis a flicker 1:14:32 of newn stir 1:14:36 quiet 1:14:37 night 1:14:39 [Music] 1:14:52 amist so today we're diving into 1:14:55 something 1:14:56 uh a bit unusual a musical a musical 1:15:00 yeah and you know what it tackles those 1:15:03 AI anxieties we all have but and this is 1:15:05 what I love does it with a 1:15:09 song are you 1:15:14 [Music] 1:15:19 ready remember like when AI chat B they 1:15:22 first kind of Hit the scene everyone was 1:15:23 like anyway that's that I dig it I'm 1:15:28 happy with it I think it's a story worth 1:15:40 telling but anyway it's coming along 1:15:43 people 1:15:46 [Music] 1:15:58 all right 1:16:00 let's let's wind this 1:16:03 down what's that Source 1:16:08 Camp Tick Tock 1:16:11 pin if you get scarjo Sam would never 1:16:14 forgive 1:16:15 you I'd love to get 1:16:17 scarjo um I have I have one one I have a 1:16:21 singer that I would love to do this but 1:16:23 I I think she might be too old I think I 1:16:26 think Sydney needs to she needs to be 1:16:28 able to go young and old and the the 1:16:31 woman I'm thinking of I think is she's 1:16:33 just got too much 1:16:35 gravity but it's not up to me right 1:16:38 right now right now this is a a notebook 1:16:41 LM podcast this isn't a musical yet well 1:16:45 it is a musical just hasn't been we 1:16:47 don't have producers on board 1:16:49 yet so anyway if you know anyone let me 1:16:52 know 1:16:54 [Music] 1:17:05 all right let's get on out of here 1:17:09 anyone else have any questions before we 1:17:11 go you played Simple Man did 1:17:14 I I don't remember what I played this 1:17:17 might this is a problem with ADD 1:17:23 and oh what 1:17:26 if you don't have add this is a neuros 1:17:28 spicy Channel we call it Chad add if you 1:17:31 don't have ADD you won't relate to this 1:17:35 but when when I get a song stuck in my 1:17:39 head I don't get the whole song no no I 1:17:42 get like two 1:17:44 lines when you wna find me look to the 1:17:47 Western Skies I've got I've got that 1:17:51 part of Defying Gravity stuck in my head 1:17:54 where she's floating in the air look to 1:17:56 the Western Skies and it just it it's 1:17:59 like on a loop it will not stop it's 1:18:01 been a week and it's just if you want to 1:18:04 find me look to the Western Skies and 1:18:07 then it just goes and goes and goes and 1:18:09 goes and goes so if you ever wonder why 1:18:12 people with ADHD are [ __ ] Bonkers 1:18:16 it's because of that [ __ ] going on in 1:18:18 their head all the time it's totally on 1:18:21 repeat look to the Western sky 1:18:27 deserves a chance to 1:18:29 fly and then it 1:18:36 repeats oh 1:18:39 man Elizabeth great idea for a musical I 1:18:42 listened to the preview very well done 1:18:43 thank you very much Elizabeth I 1:18:44 appreciate that I think Elizabeth is 1:18:46 also working on a musical which is which 1:18:48 is super cool listen I 1:18:51 mean here here's here's the reality 1:18:55 of AI for me as as a creative 1:19:00 professional I have a degree in acting 1:19:02 I've written seven screenplays I moved 1:19:04 to New York City out of school to pursue 1:19:05 a life in the Arts I got tired of being 1:19:08 broke I started a couple of companies 1:19:10 that went well I've been an entrepreneur 1:19:12 for the past 25 1:19:14 years and because of this Channel and 1:19:17 playing with these tools like I haven't 1:19:20 thought about writing something for the 1:19:22 theater in 25 years I haven't thought 1:19:24 about it 1:19:26 and now I'm sitting here 1:19:30 with a musical a 1:19:34 well-written good story with good 1:19:38 songs with zero 1:19:40 dollars six months later just basically 1:19:43 working on on the weekends with my 1:19:44 writing 1:19:45 partner like if I had just if I had if 1:19:48 this would be all of my time like this 1:19:50 I'd have had this done in a month but 1:19:52 it's just I'm putting in few hours here 1:19:54 and there and six months later we've got 1:19:57 a musical this is a pitch 1:20:00 musical now can we get it there I don't 1:20:03 [ __ ] know but like it's it the the 1:20:08 thing about generative AI is if you if 1:20:11 you give 1:20:15 in no if you let go of who you think you 1:20:21 are and what you think you can do and 1:20:24 whatever limits you've put on yourself 1:20:27 let those Drift 1:20:30 Away multiple versions of you emerge 1:20:34 that's what's happening with me like all 1:20:37 sorts of different [ __ ] is is coming out 1:20:39 of just being open to to what's 1:20:44 happening um okay so before I go let me 1:20:49 tell you about something if you haven't 1:20:50 done it tonight we had our second 1:20:52 anniversary of the a 1:20:56 Salon um we launched the week after chat 1:20:59 GPT came out in 2022 tonight was our 1:21:02 second year 1:21:03 anniversary um it was a really 1:21:05 remarkable meeting we'll it'll be up on 1:21:07 our YouTube channel on the AI Salon 1:21:09 YouTube channel you know probably by the 1:21:11 end of the week um within the AI Salon 1:21:15 you should join the salon join the 1:21:17 community if you're not a part of it um 1:21:20 there's a club one of the one of the 1:21:22 areas on the site says Community clubs 1:21:24 and one of the clubs is the AI life 1:21:26 hacks Club with with Claire Jacobs and 1:21:30 Brandon Brandon tid they run that club 1:21:33 they've got a life hacks meeting 1:21:34 tomorrow and and what life hacks are are 1:21:36 basically like really cool ways that 1:21:39 people are using AI in their regular 1:21:41 life um and so that meeting is tomorrow 1:21:44 and it's it's in the if you go to the 1:21:45 life haacks meeting there's an event 1:21:47 calendar there you can RSVP to it and 1:21:49 get all the information all right so 1:21:52 that's that um I know we didn't 1:21:56 really learn much tonight but I don't 1:21:59 know hopefully you got a sense of what's 1:22:01 possible with with AI generated music if 1:22:04 you put a little intention behind it a 1:22:06 little little uh curation and refinement 1:22:10 that kind of stuff can happen so all 1:22:13 right um deal of the day happy 1:22:15 anniversary AI learning lab Leah Kyle 1:22:17 and fellow Irregulars thank you so 1:22:20 much congrats on two years singing 1:22:23 Unlimited unlim 1:22:31 yeah that one love it love it it's in 1:22:33 the head 1:22:35 too unlimited also uh it's uh Somewhere 1:22:39 Over the Rainbow 1:22:41 uned octave nice um all right I'm 1:22:46 getting out of here people I hope you 1:22:48 had always learn something even if I 1:23:05 can't immediately articulate it oh thank 1:23:07 you Winston that's that's fantastic and 1:23:11 that's part of the purpose okay so if 1:23:13 you're new here there's probably not a 1:23:15 ton of new people here but if you're new 1:23:18 here I go live five nights a 1:23:21 week um 800 PM Mountain Time generally 1:23:24 speaking bit later tonight because of 1:23:26 the salon um the whole point of being 1:23:28 here is just like osmosis to just be in 1:23:31 the conversation just let me be in the 1:23:33 background but just be thinking about Ai 1:23:36 and be experimenting with AI That's the 1:23:37 whole purpose of this thing um because 1:23:40 you will learn stuff and you'll you'll 1:23:42 learn what's possible and it's it's a 1:23:44 pretty amazing Community all right I'm 1:23:46 getting out of here peace out to YouTube 1:23:49 LinkedIn and X hope you had fun tonight 1:23:51 um thank you for everything and I will 1:23:54 see you 1:23:55
