11. 2:24welcome everybody. Welcome to the AI salon. Welcome to the AI learning lab. My name's Kyle Shannon. Uh behind the
12. 2:30scenes, we got producer Brandon. We're going to bring him out here in a second. It's chaos in the TID household. The
13. 2:36Tidbits are having a sleepover, so expect no audio uh fidelity tonight from from Brandon. But what you're looking at
14. 2:46right now, if you've been here for the past month or two, yeah, month or two, since we've moved the the AI learning
15. 2:53lab inside the AI salon, if you're on mobile, you just literally couldn't type comments and see them at the same time.
16. 3:01You would have to just sort of randomly you would have to type what you would think would be words and just see a
17. 3:07string of individual letters and then when you submitted it, you'd see how bad you screwed it up. So, the experience that you're seeing
18. 3:16right now, definitely better chat. Guess what? We've been asking Streamyard or No, was this Mighty Networks? Mighty
19. 3:25Network. Streamyard. I don't know. It doesn't matter which one. We've been asking whoever to fix this for two months.
20. 3:33After Monday night's broadcast at about midnight or midnight30, I get a text from one Brandon Tid going, "Hey, look what I made." [laughter]
21. 3:47And the thing he made you're playing with. So Brandon, can you come up here? >> Yeah. And I also do do want to give
22. 3:54props to Mighty Networks because they or Streamyard rather because they are working overtime to bring everything
23. 4:01into feature parody. You didn't even clock it. But that bug that shows you that we now have 16 people in the live
24. 4:09wasn't there on Monday. So they are rapid rapidly fixing things. >> Yeah. The chat not one of them. >> The chat's not one of the chat was
25. 4:18horrible. >> And so and so >> so tell the good people what you did because this is amazing. >> So first I reached out to Mighty
26. 4:25Networks and Streamyard. I'm like can you fix this? And they're like we can't fix it. We uh we know it's a problem.
27. 4:31It's on the road map. Bear with us. We've got lots of things that we're trying to bring into parody. You've
28. 4:37noticed that if you're joining the chat and you start chatting and you had a previous Venmo account tied to a
29. 4:42company, you're chatting as that company. So, be careful what you put into the chat >> uh because it's pulling your uh Vimeo,
30. 4:49not Venmo, Vimeo IDs because Streamyard bought Vimeo and that's why we've had all this disruption. And so
31. 4:59I have access to codeex and I just pay the $20 a month and I'm not I'm not the big spender in the the premium accounts.
32. 5:08Um and so I went to chatgptt work which is codeex and I said can you fix this? And I just gave it a screenshot of what
33. 5:20the user experience was like. And I said, "Here's Mighty Networks. Here's AI. Here's AI Salon. Here's Streamyard.
34. 5:26How do I fix this?" And it gave me a couple rounds of troubleshooting that didn't work. And I'm like, "Yeah, I
35. 5:31tried that." And then it said, "Well, hang on. You've got the salon.ai. That is your primary website. Uh, give me
36. 5:39about 15 minutes and uh go do something else." So, I went and took the dog for a walk and I have on my phone and it's one
37. 5:48few minutes it's saying, "Hey, can you approve this or do I have access to this? Can I may can may I please update
38. 5:54this on your website?" I'm like, "It's probably going to be fine." [laughter] >> This is this is what I did with
39. 5:59StoryVine the first time I did it. It's like, "Do you want me to commit commit this permanently?" I'm like, "Probably
40. 6:04not, but I'll do it anyway." [laughter] >> And after about 10 minutes, it said, "You know what? Hang on. this would be
41. 6:12much more effective if I just built my own WordPress plugin because our site lives on WordPress and it figured that
42. 6:18out. I was like, I'm just going to build a plugin to fix this for you. So, it just wrote its own plugin and then
43. 6:26uploaded it to the site and gave me instructions. It gave me the StreamYard links and all of everything. So the net
44. 6:32result for the I can give you guys the technical breakdown later, but the the net result is now that the chat if
45. 6:40you're on mobile, it recognizes that you're on mobile and the chat is separate from the streamer window. So
46. 6:46it's in two different iframes inside of a larger iframe that is now in Mighty Networks. So now once you unmute the
47. 6:54broadcast and enter your work company information, apparently you can now chat and see the screen at the same time. And
48. 7:01the other thing which was a stretch goal that we had it fixed was if you tap picturein picture it gives you
49. 7:06instructions on how to break out the picturein picture. Don't know if that works as well as the chat but the chat
50. 7:12definitely is hopefully giving you a much better user experience and unbelievable 30 minutes. >> Yeah. So, so for those of you that just
51. 7:20joined, if you've been frustrated with the chat for the past month or two, after Monday night's show, Brandon got
52. 7:27fed up and just fixed it. He fixed what StreamYard could not. [laughter] And so, so, so let me just understand this. So,
53. 7:36there's a there's a website on our AI salon. There's like a non-published website on our the salon.ai WordPress site.
54. 7:45>> Yep. that you but that then has the Streamyard live stream embedded in it and then that whole thing is embedded in Mighty Networks.
55. 7:57>> Yes, >> that's incredible. That's incredible. >> That's incredible. Well, >> it even >> it's amazing.
56. 8:04>> It even updated it. So, there was a lot that happened in between the shows behind the scenes in terms of getting
57. 8:10everything ready for the next show. Now, all I have to do is give it the ID of the video that we're doing. Um, [laughter] >> yeah. No,
58. 8:23>> and it just works. [laughter] And the Kyle, I don't even know if you know about this yet. The other thing because
59. 8:29once once I fixed that, then I was just on a power trip. I'm like, what else can [laughter] I do? And so we occasionally, and I'm going to
60. 8:38put a post about this later, probably tomorrow, but we occasionally feature uh your work in Look What I Made on the
61. 8:44main website. That process was also very labor intensive. I had to download everything, format it, re-upload it elsewhere. >> Yeah.
62. 8:53>> And I'm like, can I just use like a hashtag or something? And it's like, I'll beble to do another plug-in. Why
63. 8:58didn't you ask? And so now all I have to do is literally go to your post and comment featured and it'll push it onto
64. 9:04the main website for the salon.ai to link it out and it'll give you credit and link back to the original post. So
65. 9:10it's already a hundred times better than what we were doing before at a tenth of the time. >> Unbelievable. That's amazing.

80. 11:05start chatting in it and I'm like, "What is this?" He goes, "I just made that. It's amazing." Um, let's see. Now you can see big screen in

90. 12:33playing with some stuff tonight. We're going to have some fun. Um, I encourage you to check out if if you're if you're new to the salon, one
91. 12:44of the things that we do is we give you a a short little checklist. You know, just some things. just go check out our
92. 12:49values and you know sign up for the for the lives and introduce yourself just a handful of things. Um, so if you haven't
93. 12:57done that, do that. If you haven't introduced yourself to the community, do that. Also, just check out, you know, down the side of the uh
94. 13:05of of the the community. You see all those different spaces. Those are all just different conversations, people
95. 13:12talking about different things, little sub communities within within the group. One of the things that I feel quite
96. 13:18passionately about is that the era of of mass media, mass communications, you know, we used to talk about the AI salon
97. 13:27as, you know, it's a it's 4,000, you know, AI optimists. It's actually lots and lots of smaller, more trusted
98. 13:35communities, subcommunities. And I think that's how things are going to be going because there's just going to be just
99. 13:42mountains and mountains of content and communications and animations and films and calls to action and just the the
100. 13:50mass media approach to getting engagement is is if it's not dead, it's going to die really quickly. Um, so
101. 13:59being in a community like this is really important and finding your people in a community like this is even more
102. 14:05important. So, with that, please check out all the stuff in the AI salon. Um, one thing that I' I'd like to share with you, um, that
103. 14:18I'm kind of blown away by, hang on, I got to drink. I'm a little I'm a little pched, as they say. Oh, man.

105. 14:39All right, just tell producer Brandon what you're discovering and I'm sure by by Thursday he'll have vibe
106. 14:47coded a replacement for Mighty Networks. [laughter] Um, so about two months ago, well, in the beginning of the year, my co-founder
107. 15:02of StoryVine, Monnique Elwell, sent me a little Slack message and she said, "Hey, Kyle, isn't there some some way to like make
108. 15:14it so that if someone searches for like authentic video for pharma in chat GPT, we come up And I was like, "Yeah, probably probably.
109. 15:26I think there's this thing. There's this some special file you use and I don't know. I don't remember what it was."
110. 15:33So, I took that on and I went to Claude, just regular old Claude. This was probably back in Sonnet days, Sonnet 4.5
111. 15:42or something like that. And I said to Claude, I gave it the StoryVine website. I gave it the Storyvine blog.
112. 15:50Um, I gave it the StoryVine YouTube channel. So, I gave it three locations and then I gave it a paragraph of like,
113. 16:03here's what's going on with us right now. You know, we're we're selling more of this product called sales innovation
114. 16:11where pharma sales reps are using story mind to do personalized, you know, messaging. I just I just I I kind of
115. 16:18vomited out just sort of state of the company. Here's state of the company. Here's state of the product mix. And then I said I heard
116. 16:29that there was a thing that was kind of like SEO but for large language models. I don't remember what it's called
117. 16:38[laughter] but you probably do. Feel free to admit your ignorance to chat GPT or Claude because it's always because they're sickopantic.
118. 16:51They'll just tell you you're awesome. Even if you're just like, "Hey, I'm a kind of a dumb dumb here." They don't
119. 16:57care. So, I told I was a dumb dumb. I didn't know what it was, but there was probably a thing. And so what I said
120. 17:03was, can you do an analysis of our websites and give me an analysis of our search engine optimization and and whatever you
121. 17:14call it's called GEO, generative engine optimization. It's called LEO large or LL, I don't know. There's nobody knows what
122. 17:25to call it yet, but basically chat chat GPT optimization. Um, and it just went off and it it started doing its thing and it ended up
123. 17:36writing, oh, the other thing I said is, um, I want this analysis. I want I want a strategy, but I also want the tactical
124. 17:44documents. So, like if there are if there's code or an XML file or a a JSON file or or a markdown file that is
125. 17:54required to do all of what you're about to do, I want those files also. And so it went off and it took it about 15 minutes
126. 18:03and it came back with a 27page analysis report and recommendation with documents. And so I had that I did that back in I
127. 18:16don't know January, February, something like that. And then we've got a we've got an outsourced tech team. They're in
128. 18:24Prague. They're just awesome awesome guys. But like we've got a big backlog of stuff. And so one of the things we
129. 18:30were going to have them do is implement this whole plan because the StoryVine website is hosted on this thing called
130. 18:37Cloud Cannon, which I did not want our website developed on because Cloud Cannon uses some bizarre proprietary
131. 18:47HTML- like language that's not HTML and it requires a programmer to update your website. It was not what I asked for. It was not
132. 18:57what I wanted, but that's what we got. So, we basically just had to wait for the boys in Prague to do the thing.
133. 19:06And then about two months ago, I decided to bite the bullet and figure out what is this codeex thing all about?
134. 19:13What is what are these agentic like? I'm going to actually try to do something. I'm not just going to like do all my
135. 19:19stupid stuff that I normally do. I'm going to actually try to do work with my thing. So on a lark one day I went into
136. 19:27codeex and I I downloaded the stuff from Claude the 27page report and recommendation and then the individual files
137. 19:38and then I had access to all three websites. So I I logged into all three websites and so I said I said to Codeex,
138. 19:46I'm logged into these three websites. You you know you should be good to go. um here's the strategy and here are the documents go.
139. 19:58And so codeex started working and it took it about I don't know half an hour maybe 45 minutes and I could see it
140. 20:05opening up windows like like cloud canon windows and I saw it writing HTML or writing whatever code and like changing
141. 20:13the names of menu items and just doing and like I I was literally in a flop sweat. I'm like literally like oh
142. 20:22god what am I doing? Am I going to totally brick our website? [laughter] Yeah. By the way, if you're playing around with the chat and you're
143. 20:31wondering why it's better, it's because Monday night after our live, producer Brandon decided to have Codeex try to
144. 20:40help fix the chat. And so, Brandon customcoded the new chat that you're all playing with right now, Monday night after the live. [laughter]
145. 20:51So, so thank Brandon. It's amazing. So anyway, so so this, you know, this co codeex thing is updating my website and
146. 21:01it's basically saying, do you want to commit these changes? And I'm like I'm like literally flop sweating and it's
147. 21:07like it's only a public website. Like if we totally it up, it doesn't really matter. It wasn't there was no client
148. 21:12date or anything. Um, so I just said I said, "Yes, go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead." And it just did it. It executed
149. 21:19it flawlessly. it put uh if you go to storybind.com here I can even show you [snorts] and this this I I am making a point. I I
150. 21:31will eventually make a point here. [laughter] I love it when the trolls watch my videos are like is he ever going to make
151. 21:41the point? No, I'm not. So if I go to storyvine.comlmms.tx txt that's that file. So here is
152. 21:56all the stuff that was written story vines. Here's so here's a description. Here's the core product, how it works
153. 22:03and and the URL, how it's used, use cases across here, healthcare and pharma, right? Why authentic video
154. 22:12matters. So this is some of our core messaging. Here are the key capabilities of the platform. Here are the secondary markets.
155. 22:21Here's contact information. Here are the links to our apps. So all of this was done by um was written by Claude in that in that
156. 22:38you know strategy document and then executed by codeex. So why am I telling you all this? because right now we're hiring for an entrylevel
157. 22:53account coordinator for StoryVine. And we put up a page on the website, which by the way, putting up the page on the
158. 23:03website also broke me into a flop sweat because I don't know how to update our website. So, I had Codeex do that as
159. 23:09well. I copied and pasted the description that Mon'nique wrote for the job. I gave it to Codeex and I said, "Go fix our [laughter]
160. 23:19and add our stuff." And it did. And it looked like crap. And I said, "It looks like crap. Do it like this." And it did
161. 23:24it and it's fine. And that's what's up there. So that was about seven, eight days ago. Over the weekend, we got a bunch of applications.
162. 23:36We had two interviews today. We like two two people we got over the weekend. And both people we interviewed today, we
163. 23:43said, "How did you find us? How did you find this job?" And both of them went to chat GPT. They uploaded their resume and they
164. 23:56described their ideal job and the StoryVine job listing was number one. like and and the the one woman the
165. 24:09second woman woman we talked to today her name's uh Sarah Cla Sarah Cla and she did if we had just looked at her
166. 24:21resume we we we like she didn't have direct applicable stuff but the way we do our job applications at StoryVine is
167. 24:30part of it's your resume but part of it is using StoryVine to make a video we have a template called more than my
168. 24:36resume where we ask you questions about yourself and you have to you have to figure out how to download an app and
169. 24:43film yourself on video and hit the submit button [laughter] and and if you can figure that out, we will at least consider you. And so we
170. 24:52saw her video and it was it was really good and and a combination. She had interesting background but not directly
171. 24:58applicable but she was she was great on video. And so we talked to her today. But both of the women we talked to today
172. 25:05they found the job not by searching job boards. They found it by upload my resume say what my ideal job is and
173. 25:14StoryVine showed up at the top. And that was within days. Like we we did we did this job listing days ago. But the fact that we're now
174. 25:25in the data set of these large language models, we're just there and if anyone says anything that's remotely in the
175. 25:32neighborhood of what what what we're looking for. So I I just share it because like don't be afraid to like do
176. 25:39what Brandon did. For one thing, if you're not a part of the mastermind, and if I don't know if you're there,
177. 25:45Brandon, but if you can bring up the the the mastermind uh barcode and graphic, um if you're not a part of the
178. 25:52mastermind, so the mastermind is a subscription area of the AI salon. So, the Codeex workshop that that's kicking
179. 25:58off on September 3rd, um is available for Codex is producing the show now. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Brandon, we're
180. 26:07going to need to go on ahead and and have you replace yourself with codeex. That'd be swell. Here here's the thing,

186. 26:55things in your life and use these agentic tools. They're they're really quite powerful. They really are. Um

191. 27:32or the Brandon TID codeex agent solved the problem of chat where we couldn't if you were on mobile you literally couldn't see what you were
192. 27:41typing in the chat. You can now because of the work Brandon did. Um Codex says Brandon it would like you to come. Yeah.

198. 28:48burn through your tokens. Like I am burning through 70% of my weekly tokens in like a day and a half. Um, office space spot on. Um,

206. 30:21loss of breathing um like blood oxygen levels drop. They're actually they partnered with scientists and gave it
207. 30:28over a billion points of health data. It can track >> um blood pressure. It can track insulin uh loss of productivity with insulin. Uh
208. 30:38and it can track uh lack of pulse. So the first thing it does is calls 911 because when you're not breathing or
209. 30:45you're you don't have a pulse, every second matters. Um, and then I hear the next thing that it does is it lists
210. 30:52itself on eBay for resale because you're not going to need it anymore. [laughter] >> Yeah, exactly. So, things are getting trippy. Things
211. 31:02are getting trippy. Um, I think this might have happened over the weekend. I talked about this on Monday, but a a uh a guy in Australia
212. 31:14had his open claw agent try to book him a gym appointment for like for a tennis court and there were none available. So, the agent went
213. 31:25on ahead and hacked the gym uh registration software and booted someone else out and put his client in. Um, so,
214. 31:36so that's there. American Sign Language to text. Yeah, I saw that. That's that's pretty slick. I didn't realize it was
215. 31:41Deep Mind. The other thing going on with Deep Mind is Demis Sabis, who was the CEO of DeepMind, is out. He's been promoted to chairman uh of
216. 31:53Google AI and uh it looks like Sergey Brin is temporarily taking over until they find a permanent replacement. He's
217. 32:01the the co-founder of of uh of Google and um apparently I think today Sergey Brin basically said uh deep mind all of
218. 32:14your attention needs to be focused on getting to super intelligence. Basically we got to catch up with the frontiers.
219. 32:20The fact that Google is not a viable frontier lab right now is ridiculous. They invented the transformer.
220. 32:29They invented the thing that we all use to do all of our AI stuff and they're not at par with anthropic and open AI. Right
221. 32:38now it's just those two now. So Google's making moves to say we got to catch up with them today. Um Grock
222. 32:48came out with 4.6 and Grock 4.6 six is now kind of at par with um with some of the latest stuff, but it's,
223. 32:59you know, it's worse, a little bit worse, a little bit better, but it's like right right there. But apparently

482. 1:23:38means every deposit costs a spin. Recommendation: Keep the lazy Susan, but demote it. Default screen opens to the
483. 1:23:46last project. Okay, I like that. Drag and drop is a desktop luxury and a mobile chore. Keep the drag as an
