36. 8:07leaned into trimming my eyebrows and getting a haircut good Lord I look like a I look like a bad Professor it is the
37. 8:15AI learning lab so I I suppose having the insane Professor look is appropriate Mr K's in here we've got
38. 8:23Educators in here so and I got the I got the I got this the Sears carpet salesman you know whatever these are wings and
39. 8:32then this is like the 50s
40. 8:56pompadoras he wants figures he wants predictability and we just go full chaos sometimes it's Chad add I will not finish a sentence in two
41. 9:07and a half hours and then other times it's focused good high learning fun I mean it's not the AI trimming lab
42. 9:19right apparently not apparently being part of the AI Salon does not get you any perks in the qua [Laughter]

235. 46:55running jokes jokes we had is if you want someone to to take action you put a big red button on screen and you put a
236. 47:03label under it that says do not press right you can make money everyone will press the button and so so we we bought
237. 47:12the URL keep out.com because we thought if if you do keep out.com people will come there cuz you know they're just people are pain in the
238. 47:22ass so I we I forget what site we put up oh was it no it wasn't the zema we did something for zema we did the zema
239. 47:33fridge or something like that it wasn't that we put up some sort of site for keep out.com and like all of a sudden one day
240. 47:41our Tech guy comes out and and says what's going on with keep out.com we're like what are you talking about and he
241. 47:48goes there's all this traffic like the server just crashed three times like I keep having to reboot the server cuz it
242. 47:55keeps getting overloaded we're like what are you talking about and then we started getting emails asking questions about some
243. 48:05product we didn't know what the [ __ ] people were talking about what had happened was some Ad Agency took out a
244. 48:12full page ad in like Fortune magazine or like some big magazine and it was a two-page ad and the only thing on the ad was the URL keep

478. 1:28:01and grew over you know 15 20 years and they just shut everyone else out you start running your company like
479. 1:28:11well how we do things is how things are done and that's why when you do a Google Search right now the first 35 links are these
480. 1:28:24SEO fake ass sales funnel websites that are pointing you to someone else's website because all the SEO Engineers figured out how to
481. 1:28:34game the single player in the marketplace if there were three or four search engines that actually had you know
482. 1:28:43competition it would probably be easier to find stuff cuz not everyone would be gaming the same system
483. 1:28:49so so they're just going along going and things are good revenue's up we're just printing cash 94% market share let's see
484. 1:28:57if we can squeeze that up to 97 by next year we'll squeeze the Bings out of the world we'll just squeeze them
485. 1:29:05out and then that little [ __ ] Sam Alman he like turns his stupid little nonprofit into a capped
486. 1:29:20for-profit and and and goes out to dinner with Bill Gates and Satia adala and says hey you want to see something cool and he showed him
487. 1:29:29chat GPT and they were like holy [ __ ] and Sati nalo was like uh how about we give you a billion dollars and suck
488. 1:29:38all this [ __ ] into Microsoft stack let's see if we can go after Google and then they launched chat GPT not thinking anyone would give a
489. 1:29:50[ __ ] about it and they got to a million users in 5 days 3 days I don't know some quick amount of time and they got to 100
490. 1:29:58million users a 100 million [ __ ] users in 6 weeks with no marketing other than a press release that that Microsoft invested in
491. 1:30:09them and there was a red alert at Google that was like oh [ __ ] hey uh listen you know that you know that
492. 1:30:21paper we put out in 2017 that thing with the attention is all you need with the Transformer thing in it that remember
493. 1:30:30that thing and we just gave it out to the world and then we were like hey we could build something cool with this and
494. 1:30:35then we realized if we build the cool thing with the Transformer thing that it would kind of threaten our business
495. 1:30:40model yeah there's this guy Samy um Samy he just he kind of built it uh he kind of built the thing that we didn't with
496. 1:30:50the paper that we gave out to the world and uh so anyway it no one was really using it they were building anyway puts
497. 1:31:01out it it's it's got a 100 million users and it it just answers questions no no one has to click to links to get the
498. 1:31:11answer no they just they just type it in and it's yeah so so Google is trying to undo a decade worth of just
499. 1:31:25stasis of not having to innovate now they they've got Innovative pocket I mean don't get me wrong they innovate
500. 1:31:34all the time but their core business model is advertising clicks on links from their search engine and they need you to click a lot
501. 1:31:46so they don't actually want you to get the answer right away they want you to click to get the answer and they want
502. 1:31:52you to go to 17 different sites because every time you [ __ ] click a penny goes in their pocket so I don't know that they're necessarily
503. 1:32:06lying I think that what they're what they are likely facing is how do we turn into an Innovative company that's
504. 1:32:14willing to upend our business model because if we don't Microsoft or apple or someone else is going to and so they need to figure out how to
505. 1:32:28like this this is not an easy navigation like I feel like from a technical perspective they're fine I feel like from a Humanity's
506. 1:32:37perspective they're in bad shape because they leaned heavy on hiring Engineers they're not like apple that's got engineers and artists
507. 1:32:47right they don't have a culture of that and and all this chat GPT stuff like there's a lot of humanity in a large
508. 1:32:56language model right cuz it's human language right it's the humanities is is what's sitting inside the technology I am just a software
509. 1:33:09sales guy how long does it take to learn all this I want to sell these things okay first thing I'm going to say to you
510. 1:33:19concern citizens united is don't say you're just a software sales guy you're not just anything you got skills you can pick up
511. 1:33:32the [ __ ] phone you can get punched in the nose 20 times where people say no I don't want to buy your stupid [ __ ]

529. 1:36:08best now Gemini Ultra comes out tomorrow all bets could be off or it could be another Google disappointment but we'll find out
530. 1:36:16tomorrow but right now just go to chat. openai the free version is cat GPT 3.5 it is incredibly powerful like
531. 1:36:28almost all other competitors to chat GPT say we're almost as good as chat GPT 3.5 there are some like Bard Bard is
532. 1:36:38better than 3.5 but it's not as good as four but it's getting there that's from Google and then when Ultra comes out it
533. 1:36:46it it should be in the neighborhood but you should pay the 20 bucks for chat GPT Plus in your account say um there's
534. 1:36:55a there's a there's an option called my plan upgrade your plan to chat GPT plus if you can at all afford the 20 bucks a
535. 1:37:03month it is the cheapest deal in software what you can do with chat GPT for 20 bucks a month is ridiculous it's
536. 1:37:15ridiculous so pay the 20 bucks and then just start playing hang out in the AI salon and start playing and then the
537. 1:37:24other thing I would do I don't know if if if Jim's on here I would I would Buddy up there's a guy in the AI salon named Jim Ross
538. 1:37:34who is a he he's a a marketer and a and a like a business coach but he works in the um Self Storage business you're like Self Storage what's
539. 1:37:50that got to do do with AI nothing it's you know you're you're buying buildings that people put their [ __ ] in um he has
540. 1:38:01embraced this AI stuff like no one I've ever seen like he comes hangs out on this channel learns something new and
541. 1:38:07goes applies it to his business the next day he's not technical he's not a a like a programmer but he's got he's got this
542. 1:38:15enthusiasm for these tools to help him do his job better so I would just start like find people that inspire you that
543. 1:38:23are just doing kickass stuff with AI and you can get up to speed with this stuff to some level of proficiency in a
544. 1:38:33weekend just like just go kick the tires on chat GPT go watch YouTube videos hang out in the salon ask stupid questions
545. 1:38:41when you introduce yourself say hey here's who I am I'm the sales guy I'm clueless about this stuff where should I
546. 1:38:48start and then let people in the community help you right like one of the one of the values of this community is
547. 1:39:00generosity and and that's like when people come in here other people are like hey welcome I don't know what I'm doing that's okay we got
548. 1:39:10you hey I totally know what I'm doing but I I'm confused on this oh jump over to the video Guild they'll help you with

590. 1:46:37it's mid Journey period end of story now if you want it to have words in it mid Journey really sucks at that but if you want it to be [ __ ]
591. 1:46:49art it's mid Journey so all the rest have have kind of different pros and cons so Dolly 3 the the the most significant thing about
592. 1:47:00Dolly 3 for me is that it's not a standalone image generation tool it lives inside of chat gp4 chats so you can use it just like you
593. 1:47:11used you know mid Journey or or one of the other tools and say make me an image of this but what you can also do is you
594. 1:47:20could be having a brainstorming session about naming your company and then come up with a creative brief for a logo and
595. 1:47:27then say hey could you give me um a mood board of 10 different looks and feels for that logo based on the creative
596. 1:47:34brief we just talked about and it will create images within that context that's a huge [ __ ] deal the other thing about Dal is no
597. 1:47:46matter what you prompt it it rewrites its own prompt in fact I'll show you that cuz I think this is th this is something not a lot of
598. 1:47:54people know about I think it's it's actually an important thing to know um just if you want to start exploring some of this stuff so make
599. 1:48:05um make me an image of a 1970s green Challenger in an abandoned Factory with sunlight streaming through the broken windows

614. 1:50:51so Dolly can also do text really well it doesn't always get the spelling right but don't get too [ __ ] about that celebrate

619. 1:51:51create images in Discord unless you've made more than 10,000 images and then you've got access to the Alpha version
620. 1:51:57of the web tool the the web so mid journey is going to be migrating from Discord to the web but they haven't done it yet
621. 1:52:06but yeah I know mid Journey's moving off Discord now too I know exactly but it's not there yet um but if you want high
622. 1:52:13quality stuff mid journey is it the challenge with mid Journey if you work in a big Corporation this is the CEO of
623. 1:52:20this they they just really don't give a [ __ ] like whose art they've trained on they they got they there's this big
624. 1:52:28internal document of like here's all the artists that we that we stole all their art um so if you work in a big Corporation
625. 1:52:36mid journey is potentially problematic right but if you want high quality art it's the one um I'm going to come back
626. 1:52:44to Korea and Deco here because you're asking about stable diffusion if you go to Leonardo Leonardo doai is it Leonardo doai yeah
627. 1:52:56um this is a commercial web front end that you they give you like 150 free credits a day and that's it's like seven
628. 1:53:06or eight images a day you can do for free but what Leonardo actually is is a commercial front end to stable
629. 1:53:16diffusion let me go here and just show you it's a lot it's a lot to parse which if that's kind of the best the best way to to talk about um
630. 1:53:30stable diffusion is if if you love The Look of the inside of a cockpit of a 747 where there's all the switches and dials
631. 1:53:38and gauges and [ __ ] like that and you got to like Tinker with all the things that's stable diffusion and Leonardo is
632. 1:53:46like the easy front end to an entire open Source world that is unbelievably rich but it requires you to be a
633. 1:53:57geek so to the extent that you're a geek first and an artist second stable diffusion might be the thing for you to the extent that you
634. 1:54:08just want to make pretty pictures stable diffusion is probably going to drive you [ __ ] crazy the other thing that's
635. 1:54:13happening with with um Leonardo right now and with stable diffusion as well is it's getting more complicated because
636. 1:54:21stability AI is releasing new tools like they they um they released motion so I can take any picture that I've created
637. 1:54:31let me see where's my personal feed so I can take any picture that I've created let me find one here that's a nice GTO
638. 1:54:46Judge generate let's see image to motion generate an image so I can now create a video out of this thing I'm going to do it public we'll do
639. 1:54:59motion strength do I have that's good I say generate your video generation status okay

641. 1:55:26top here so they've got you can make video here they've got a realtime canvas where you can you know prompt it and
642. 1:55:33draw shapes and it'll automatically generate images you can do traditional image generation you can make your own
643. 1:55:39models here there's a canvas editor where you can do in painting and out painting there's this realtime generation it's just it's crazy it's
644. 1:55:48crazy how much is is here there's API access you can upload images there's a texture generator for 3D stuff it's
645. 1:55:55insane and and this is the easy web-based thing sitting on top of that whole world so if you really want to
646. 1:56:05geek out I would go to Reddit the subreddit for stable diffusion and just [ __ ] enter the world install
647. 1:56:12automatic 1111 or comfy UI whichever of the the interfaces you think are cool and you know the next year of your life will be gone um
648. 1:56:27Firefly from Adobe is getting better and is I would say mid journey is the top quality um Dolly and stable diffusion are
649. 1:56:43probably at about the same level in tier 2 Firefly is decently below those two it's definitely third or fourth in the
650. 1:56:53pecking order in terms of quality but it's getting better but here's the deal about Adobe they're [ __ ] Adobe right
651. 1:57:00they're leaning into this AI stuff pretty heavy they're incorporating these tools into Photoshop and illustrator and
652. 1:57:06after effects and all that uh and and you know Premiere um and their images have not been trained on copywritten images so if you
653. 1:57:18work for a Corporation Firefly and the Adobe products are the way to go all right so you really got to just really got to
654. 1:57:28understand the boundaries of like what these things are to understand which ones to go for so stable diffusions for
655. 1:57:35geeks dolly is if you want to get some [ __ ] done but but you know you can do really remarkable stuff with stable diffusion
