8:07 leaned into trimming my eyebrows and
8:09 getting a haircut good Lord I look like
8:12 a I look like a bad Professor it is the
8:15 AI learning lab so I I suppose having
8:18 the insane Professor look is
8:21 appropriate Mr K's in here we've got
8:23 Educators in here so and I got the I got
8:26 the I got this the Sears carpet salesman
8:30 you know whatever these are wings and
8:32 then this is like the 50s
8:57 pompadoras he wants figures he wants

1:38:24 are just doing kickass stuff with AI and
1:38:28 you can get up to speed with this stuff
1:38:30 to some level of proficiency in a
1:38:34 weekend just like just go kick the tires

1:38:40 out in the salon ask stupid questions
1:38:42 when you introduce yourself say hey

1:46:42 if you want it to have words in it mid
1:46:45 Journey really sucks at
1:46:47 that but if you want it to be [ __ ]
1:46:50 art it's mid
1:46:52 Journey so all the rest have have kind
1:46:54 of different pros and cons so Dolly 3
1:46:58 the the the most significant thing about
1:47:00 Dolly 3 for me is that it's not a
1:47:03 standalone image generation tool it
1:47:06 lives inside of chat gp4
1:47:08 chats so you can use it just like you
1:47:12 used you know mid Journey or or one of
1:47:15 the other tools and say make me an image
1:47:18 of this but what you can also do is you
1:47:21 could be having a brainstorming session
1:47:23 about naming your company and then come
1:47:25 up with a creative brief for a logo and
1:47:28 then say hey could you give me um a mood
1:47:31 board of 10 different looks and feels
1:47:33 for that logo based on the creative
1:47:35 brief we just talked about and it will
1:47:37 create images within that context that's
1:47:41 a huge [ __ ]
1:47:44 deal the other thing about Dal is no
1:47:46 matter what you prompt it it rewrites
1:47:49 its own prompt in fact I'll show you
1:47:51 that cuz I think this
1:47:52 is th this is something not a lot of
1:47:55 people know about I think it's it's
1:47:56 actually an important thing to know um
1:48:00 just if you want to start exploring some
1:48:01 of this stuff so make
1:48:06 um make me an image of a
1:48:13 1970s green Challenger in an abandoned

1:50:21 and uh put the

1:50:57 doesn't always get the spelling right

1:52:02 journey is going to be migrating from
1:52:04 Discord to the web but they haven't done
1:52:05 it yet
1:52:07 but yeah I know mid Journey's moving off
1:52:09 Discord now too I know exactly but it's
1:52:11 not there yet um but if you want high
1:52:14 quality stuff mid journey is it the
1:52:16 challenge with mid Journey if you work
1:52:18 in a big Corporation this is the CEO of
1:52:21 this they they just really don't give a
1:52:23 [ __ ] like whose art they've trained on
1:52:26 they they got they there's this big
1:52:28 internal document of like here's all the
1:52:30 artists that we that we stole all their
1:52:32 art
1:52:33 um so if you work in a big Corporation
1:52:37 mid journey is potentially problematic
1:52:40 right but if you want high quality art
1:52:42 it's the one um I'm going to come back

1:52:46 asking about stable diffusion if you go
1:52:49 to Leonardo

1:53:04 credits a day and that's it's like seven
1:53:07 or eight images a day you can do for
1:53:10 free but what Leonardo actually is is a
1:53:13 commercial front end to stable

1:53:18 you it's a lot it's a lot
1:53:22 to parse which if that's kind of the
1:53:26 best the best way to to talk about um
1:53:30 stable diffusion is if if you love The
1:53:34 Look of the inside of a cockpit of a 747
1:53:37 where there's all the switches and dials
1:53:39 and gauges and [ __ ] like that and you
1:53:40 got to like Tinker with all the things
1:53:43 that's stable diffusion and Leonardo is
1:53:47 like the easy front end to an entire
1:53:49 open Source world that is unbelievably
1:53:54 rich but it requires you to be a
1:53:57 geek so to the extent that you're a geek
1:54:01 first and an artist
1:54:04 second stable diffusion might be the
1:54:06 thing for you to the extent that you
1:54:08 just want to make pretty pictures stable
1:54:11 diffusion is probably going to drive you
1:54:12 [ __ ] crazy the other thing that's
1:54:13 happening with with um Leonardo right
1:54:17 now and with stable diffusion as well is
1:54:20 it's getting more complicated because
1:54:22 stability AI is releasing new tools like
1:54:24 they they um they released motion so I
1:54:28 can take any picture that I've created
1:54:31 let me see where's my personal
1:54:33 feed so I can take any picture that I've
1:54:38 created let me find one
1:54:41 here that's a nice GTO
1:54:46 Judge generate let's see image to motion
1:54:50 generate an image so I can now create a
1:54:53 video out of this
1:54:56 thing I'm going to do it public we'll do
1:54:59 motion strength do I
1:55:04 have that's good I say

1:55:39 models here there's a canvas editor
1:55:42 where you can do in painting and out
1:55:43 painting there's this realtime
1:55:45 generation it's just it's crazy it's
1:55:48 crazy how much is is here there's API
1:55:51 access you can upload images there's a
1:55:53 texture generator for 3D stuff it's
1:55:56 insane and and this is the easy
1:56:00 web-based thing sitting on top of that
1:56:03 whole world so if you really want to
1:56:05 geek out I would go to Reddit the
1:56:08 subreddit for stable diffusion and just
1:56:10 [ __ ] enter the world install
1:56:13 automatic 1111 or comfy UI whichever of
1:56:16 the the interfaces you think are cool
1:56:19 and
1:56:20 you know the next year of your life will
1:56:22 be
1:56:24 gone um
1:56:27 Firefly from
1:56:30 Adobe is getting better and is I would
1:56:36 say mid journey is the top quality
1:56:41 um Dolly and stable diffusion are
1:56:44 probably at about the same level in tier
1:56:47 2 Firefly is decently below those two

1:56:53 pecking order in terms of quality but
1:56:56 it's getting better but here's the deal
1:56:57 about Adobe they're [ __ ] Adobe right
1:57:01 they're leaning into this AI stuff
1:57:02 pretty heavy they're incorporating these
1:57:04 tools into Photoshop and illustrator and
1:57:06 after effects and all that uh and and

1:57:15 trained on copywritten images so if you
1:57:19 work for a Corporation Firefly and the
1:57:22 Adobe products are the way to go all

1:57:33 ones to go for so stable diffusions for

2:02:04 awesome that's actually really cool I
