were two stickers too [ __ ] 26:04 where I 26:10 got 26:13 Amazon the the keyboard had a keyboard 26:17 protector I don't see stickers but wait 26:20 doesn't mean that they're not 26:22 here hang 26:25 on is there a back thing no 26:29 I do not see 26:43 stickers hang 26:52 on I don't see the 26:55 stickers let me see if I missed them 26:57 somewhere 27:16 I don't see the 27:20 [Applause] 27:24 [Music] 27:27 stickers 27:41 no no stickers that I can see but we'll 27:44 find them maybe missed that's possible 27:47 um okay uh but if I find them I will um 27:51 I will mention it next time um don't 27:54 worry okay you guys are amazing thank 27:56 you thank you thank you um 27:58 wow awesome okay this is better than 28:02 Christmas this is way better than 28:03 Christmas Christmas sucked this 28:06 year we didn't get each other anything 28:09 like I said we just gave each other Co 28:10 that was literally it there was like a 28:13 you know socks and sweats or something 28:15 like 28:17 that oh my God Blandon is [ __ ] 28:20 amazing all 28:25 right okay what are we going to do we 28:27 were going to oh we were going to make 28:29 the cowboy talk we we'll go do that but 28:32 it just seems so it seems everything 28:35 seems anticlimactic or something I see 28:37 something on your shelf I know don't you 28:45 [Laughter] 28:47 oh yes that 28:52 is that makes me very very happy well 28:56 not as happy as what's in the glass 29:01 but seeing it full wow so 29:08 [Music] 29:10 good Mr it jammie go to the AI Salon we 29:13 can help okay let's do that so so listen 29:17 if you're new 29:19 here um these 29:21 lives um are part of a a larger 29:24 Community called the AI 29:25 salon and um we have a home base on 29:28 Mighty 29:30 networks and we also just did a really 29:32 cool thing so if you go to the salon. 29:36 a that'll take you to a link tree the 29:39 first three links are about this project 29:42 we did called um the GPT for good 29:45 challenge the 24-hour GPT for good 29:47 challenge that was a week ago 29:50 tonight where an Murphy and I alternated 29:54 we tag teamed every 3 hours teaching 29:56 people how to make GPT for nonprofits 29:59 and in the 24-hour period this community 30:01 made 150 gpts for nonprofits 30:05 amazing and people are still making them 30:07 so um the first three links the first 30:10 one's the directory excuse me the first 30:12 one's the directory the second one is 30:14 the YouTube channel where the playbacks 30:16 of those events were and then the third 30:19 one is the The Prompt sheet that we used 30:21 to teach people how to do it side hustle 30:24 Mimi so so that lunar stick that was 30:26 only one week ago that was last weekend 30:29 that was a week ago tonight I know it 30:31 feels like a month ago that that thing 30:34 happened it really does um and then the 30:37 fourth link is to the mighty networks 30:40 the AI salon so if you're just getting 30:42 started with AI or if you're trying to 30:43 figure this stuff out or if you're one 30:46 of the 30:47 weirdos in your community where where no 30:51 one wants to hear you talk about AI 30:53 anymore but you're obsessed with it and 30:56 they're all just like shut up about a a 30:58 I don't want to hear about ai ai stupid 31:00 you're just a dumb 31:01 dumb we're your people this is what this 31:04 thing is all about 31:07 is creating a community of curious 31:11 adventurous generous people who are 31:14 willing to learn and and kind of live in 31:17 that beginner's 31:19 mindset and admit that nobody nobody's 31:22 an expert right 31:23 now and in acknowledging that you can 31:27 learn really freely and you can also 31:29 share everything you learn really freely 31:31 because it's not proprietary right now 31:33 this is all too new everything's 31:35 changing um so that's what that 31:37 Community is so so yeah go hang out 31:39 there and I'll I'll I'll point point 31:42 some [ __ ] out about it 31:43 later um but yeah awesome 31:48 okay let's go do some fun stuff I'm so 31:52 excited I got I got a BL and you can't 31:57 have 31:58 [Laughter] 32:08 [Music] 32:10 n it's so damn 32:13 good I hope there's a replay I missed 32:16 it oh I'll put this up this will go in a 32:18 spe in the special ones I'll put this up 32:24 tomorrow oh so good yeah that'll be 32:27 that'll be a good one I'll I'll put up a 32:29 little clip from tonight about that 32:32 that's really 32:33 cool that's so cool all 32:38 right but we're all out in your yard 32:41 with empty glasses Kyle they wouldn't 32:43 surprise me you flipping 32:48 weirdos and if you were we'd be drinking 32:51 up that that would be awesome 32:55 actually who lives in Colorado 33:02 cuz that was not mailed I don't 33:06 think um best place to start okay good 33:14 question if you are just getting started 33:16 with 33:17 AI or if you're even before that if 33:20 you're 33:21 like hey Kyle I was scrolling through 33:24 Tik Tok and I was really enjoying all 33:26 the twerking ladies but then I saw an 33:27 old guy talking about Ai and he got a 33:29 bottle of blands and this seems kind of 33:33 interesting if you're trying to figure 33:34 out where to start with AI the best 33:37 place to start with AI is chat GPT in my 33:42 opinion as as as they say in marketing 33:45 it was the first and it's still the best 33:48 um it was the first and it's still the 33:49 best um even chat GPT 3.5 which is the 33:52 free version of chat GPT is essentially 33:56 better than 33:58 most things out there 34:00 um and there's there's a lot of reasons 34:03 why but largely it comes down to they 34:05 did better at getting better data so the 34:08 the data that chat jpt is trained on um 34:12 is is you know a lot of the public 34:14 internet as much as they could get their 34:16 hands on and and they really focused on 34:18 this this was sort of four or five years 34:20 in the making um by the time we got to 34:22 chat gpt3 or or just gpt3 which is the 34:26 base model 34:28 um you know they've been collecting data 34:30 for years and years and years and 34:32 training these things and so so anyway 34:35 so you just start with chat GPT um if 34:38 you can afford the 20 bucks a month you 34:41 you absolutely want to get GPT plus 34:44 which is chat GPT 4 um here's why let me 34:48 go show you over at the AI Salon I'll 34:50 show you a little a little 34:52 something is well first of all when you 34:55 get to the AI Salon this is the Network 34:58 site please go check out the welcome to 35:00 the salon 35:01 section and check out our values so the 35:04 values are really really important to me 35:06 and and to the community quite frankly 35:07 so these values are not just things we 35:09 made up this is who this community 35:12 already is but it's growing very fast so 35:15 as we grow I want to make sure that 35:17 these values are supported and and 35:20 ongoing right so curiosity is one of 35:22 them generosity 35:24 exploration 35:26 collaboration be willing to work with 35:28 people inclusion related and 35:31 empathy you know there's there's a lot 35:33 of fear right now there's a lot of anger 35:35 so um you know all those people that are 35:37 like I don't want to hear about your 35:38 stupid AI stuff they're scared right and 35:41 if if we can demystify it and make it 35:42 safe for them then then the world's 35:45 going to be a better place um lunatick 35:48 just finished number 80 I have published 35:50 80 gpts for public use since November 6 35:54 that's absolutely amazing absolutely 35:56 amazing 35:58 um in the community section there's a 36:00 showand tell so one of the really cool 36:02 fun things about these lives is that the 36:04 show Andel section of the AI Salon kind 36:07 of becomes a jam session um during these 36:10 lives and it's also where people are 36:11 sharing their gpts and they're sharing 36:14 what they're learning in making images 36:17 and making songs and and making videos 36:20 and it's it's just this this amazing 36:22 vibrant place oh D Danielle made me a um 36:26 a Tucker 36:27 a a Tucker so so I had a black lab named 36:30 Tucker he was the best and so this is a 36:34 a thing she's been making with a a puppy 36:36 and the older dog and the reflection in 36:38 the shadow that one looks like 36:41 Tucker um so go check that out but go to 36:44 AI tools and 36:47 resources this list at AI tools and 36:50 resources still loading look at Tucker 36:53 for a bit more apparently come on come 36:56 on internet 37:00 wonder if I just lost my 37:03 internet come 37:14 [Music] 37:16 on 37:18 okay AI tools and resources so one of 37:22 the so so what this is in AI tools and 37:24 resources this is a list of the things 37:26 that if you're just getting started or 37:28 even if you're not if if you're if 37:31 you're into this for a while this is 37:32 this is a fairly long list this has got 37:35 nine different large language models 37:36 that I think are worth you paying 37:38 attention to it's got image generation 37:40 tools it's got video generation tools 3D 37:43 tools it's got people to follow so it's 37:45 a bunch of stuff but the very first 37:46 thing I have here is chat GPT and I and 37:50 I talk about um chat GPT 3.5 the free 37:53 version of it still has a lot to play 37:56 with um it's got these things called 37:59 custom instructions it's got 38:00 conversational um GPT uh which if you 38:04 download the the iOS or the Android app 38:07 of the official chat GPT app not one of 38:10 the fakers make sure you get the real 38:12 one from open AI you can actually talk 38:15 to chat GPT have a conversation with it 38:18 that's pretty amazing and then gp4 38:20 there's all these different things that 38:22 it does on top of 38:24 3.5 um so so just go you know look at 38:28 this and then and then you know I would 38:30 encourage you to you know scroll through 38:32 this list and explore all these 38:34 different tools they're they're these 38:36 are all ones that I promise you are not 38:37 a waste of your time there are a lot of 38:39 tools that are a waste of your time all 38:42 right everyone I try to talk to is 38:43 afraid of AI to have fun with it what do 38:46 you say to them so Shadow Ranger it's a 38:48 great question the the first thing that 38:52 that I do with people that are afraid of 38:55 AI and dismiss it is is I acknowledge I 38:58 I try to go into a place of empathy and 39:01 I acknowledge that yeah it it it it 39:03 probably seems really scary and yeah 39:07 we've you know we've seen movies for 50 39:09 years telling us that the robots are 39:10 going to kill us absolutely um and then 39:14 and then the thing that I do the most is 39:17 here's here's what I can promise 39:21 you you can't convince someone with 39:25 words not even convinced you can't 39:29 describe to someone with words in my 39:31 opinion I haven't figured out a way to 39:32 do it yet what AI is and why it's 39:35 exciting and I don't mean AI in general 39:37 I mean generative AI you know the AI 39:40 that we've been playing with since 39:42 November 30th of 39:45 2022 the chat GPT right this this sort 39:48 of consumer grade interface sitting on 39:52 top of these incredibly powerful machine 39:55 learning tools 39:57 it is it is it's impossible to describe 40:02 because if you say well you ask it 40:04 anything and it tells you anything or 40:06 you or it can program or it can it can 40:11 make a table or it can write a poem like 40:14 it it it just all sounds like 40:17 horseshit so the only way that I found 40:20 to sort of crack through the noise of 40:22 someone's 40:23 fear 40:25 is to make it relevant to 40:28 them and so if you know someone right 40:31 and you say oh I'm really into AI like 40:33 well I hate AI or I'm scared of it or or 40:35 just they're pissy about it well just 40:37 I'm tired of you talking about that AI 40:41 stuff what I do is I acknowledge Their 40:43 Fear I acknowledge that yeah you know 40:45 what these tools are janky they don't 40:47 spell right they're they're they're you 40:50 know not perfect but you want to see 40:54 something cool and then what I'll try to 40:56 do is I'll try to do something that is 40:58 is relevant to that person so if I know 41:02 that they're into gardening for example 41:03 I did this one night I was at a uh a 41:07 small business class for the United Way 41:10 or for I think it was the United 41:13 Way and so it was small business people 41:15 and they didn't know what a AI was and 41:18 so I was talking and and they were there 41:20 some of them were sitting with their 41:21 arms crossed like this and you know 41:24 these are small business people they're 41:25 worried about like payroll you know 41:28 accounting and stuff like that they 41:29 weren't necessarily hopping up and down 41:31 about Ai and I said um you know what's 41:35 you know someone in here tell me your 41:37 business and she said oh I'm I've got a 41:39 a gardening business I said oh okay cool 41:42 and I popped open chat GPT and I said um 41:46 create how did I say it create a 41:49 gardening plan for this time of year in 41:52 Denver um for a customer 41:57 who um isn't really into gardening and 42:01 doesn't have time to tend to their 42:03 garden and then it it generated a whole 42:05 gardening plan in like like 42:08 that and her her response like her mouth 42:11 literally dropped open she went like 42:13 this and then she goes that's what I do 42:17 every 42:22 day and like in that 42:25 moment because she knows what it 42:28 takes to do a gardening plan for a 42:32 client and she watched this stupid tool 42:36 on a computer screen just [ __ ] knock 42:38 it out in 10 42:40 seconds it brought it to life for her so 42:43 so I I think that's the way to do it um 42:46 the other thing I'll do is I'll just I 42:47 have like a bag of what I call parlor 42:50 tricks in my pocket um with chat GPT and 42:54 and you know and they're just dumb 42:55 things that if like like if I don't know 42:57 the person or if I if they're just like 43:00 Kyle what what is this AI stuff you seem 43:02 to know a lot about AI just what is it 43:05 what is it is it just like it's just 43:06 like Google right it looks like Google 43:08 is it just like Google and I'm like well 43:11 the interface is like Google but it's 43:13 it's much deeper than that and I'll say 43:15 for example let's ask it to um explain 43:20 quantum mechanics in an M&M rap and then 43:23 it will and they go oh and then I'll 43:27 show him another one where I'll I'll 43:28 create a table comparing two things and 43:30 it writes and formats a table and then 43:32 I'll show that it writes code and even 43:35 if you don't know anything about 43:38 computer programming when you watch it 43:40 write code you're like oh that's kind of 43:43 impressive and then they immediately go 43:45 but does it work you know um and then 43:49 after I sort of crack the ice with the 43:51 parlor tricks then I'll ask them well 43:53 tell me something you're into and it's 43:55 kind of what we do here here in the in 43:57 these lives is you know I'll just have 43:58 someone pop in and ask a question I'll 44:01 say well let's go play with that and so 44:03 I'll just ask people what they're into 44:05 and then and then kind of run down the 44:06 rabbit hole 44:07 and more often than not within five 44:11 minutes or so I can get someone to their 44:13 first Kevin mallister moment right their 44:16 first and that's just [ __ ] Joy right 44:20 because when when someone gets in their 44:25 head how different this is than how 44:28 they've used computers in the past you 44:31 kind of can't unsee it I mean if you're 44:33 if you're in here on with any regularity 44:36 you understand that innately right very 44:39 deeply um but but I think the most 44:42 important thing is we just need to 44:43 acknowledge people where they are it's 44:45 it's it's one of the reasons that the 44:47 the the last value for the AI Salon is 44:51 empathy that you know judging people for 44:55 not being into AI ain't ain't the way to 44:59 their 45:02 hearts some of the fear is very 45:04 Justified right if I've been a 45:06 copywriter for 25 years and I see that 45:09 this tool comes along that writes 45:11 [ __ ] ad copy and I stop getting jobs 45:13 I'm going to be pretty pissed off about 45:14 it a lot of artists right now are really 45:17 pissed off about this stuff a lot of 45:19 musicians right now are terrified of 45:21 this and really pissed off about it like 45:24 that's not 45:27 th those feelings are not invalid like 45:29 those emotions are not insignificant 45:31 they're really really 45:33 important everyone including myself I 45:35 mean I went through the better part of 45:37 this past year in in Fairly significant 45:40 existential crisis about my business 45:44 I've got an automated video storytelling 45:47 platform that doesn't use AI for its 45:49 automation by the 45:51 way where the automation the automated 45:55 editing is one of our value propositions 45:58 and Along Comes this technology that's 46:00 going to automate everything including 46:02 editing including storytelling a core 46:05 part of of what I've spent 11 and a half 46:07 years building is going to be valueless 46:11 within a 46:12 year 46:14 relatively there's other things that it 46:16 does that go up in value but like this 46:19 shit's scary and so acknowledging that 46:21 and acknowledging sort of where people 46:23 are I think is critical and and you know 46:25 [ __ ] make of AI like like go yeah 46:28 this it's janky this is janky ass 46:31 software like it's it's not ready for 46:33 prime time you know you're absolutely 46:35 right to question it but in the meantime 46:37 you want to see something cool and then 46:39 just show them something cool and get 46:41 someone to their first Kevin mallister 46:43 moment and and just everything for them 46:45 changes at that point I don't I haven't 46:48 seen I'm trying to think I've seen a 46:51 handful of people that sort of pull back 46:54 from it because they realize it's 46:55 getting so so good that they really have 46:57 to think about what their art is and 47:00 what they want to do and then they're 47:02 going to come back to AI I've seen a 47:04 little bit of that pullback but it's not 47:06 like it's it's it's not the same kind of 47:09 fear it's a different kind of fear it's 47:11 more like a like a like an evaluation of 47:14 okay what are my PRI priorities right 47:16 now and then some people really lean 47:18 into it after that and some people pull 47:20 back and like that I totally 47:22 respect 47:25 um but the thing that drives me [ __ ] 47:28 baddy is when people are just like angry 47:30 about it and they've never tried it and 47:31 that's why I have this 47:34 Channel all right my mom's husband is 47:36 writing a cookbook I turned him on to 47:38 3.5 five and it was all downhill from 47:41 there exactly yeah so what what's that 47:43 accent watch oh accountable watch um 47:46 yeah exactly like someone's working on a 47:48 cookbook and you're like oh you want to 47:51 see something make me a recipe about you 47:54 know with chili that uses peanut butter 47:57 and 47:58 bison out it comes holy [ __ ] how did it 48:01 know 48:02 that um how can we find you on Mighty 48:06 networks so you go 48:08 to on Mighty networks it's AI 48:11 salon. 48:14 mn. or you can go to the 48:19 salon. and it's the fourth link the 48:21 fourth link on this page goes to the 48:23 mighty networks's page 48:29 all right let's see let let me go 48:31 through some comments here because I'm 48:32 still I'm still a little I'm still a 48:34 little shook as you guys know that I 48:35 don't do do well with sometimes 48:38 sometimes I get I get blindsided so if 48:40 if if you if you weren't here earlier I 48:43 got surprised with a very large uh 48:46 parcel um of gifts including a bottle of 48:49 Blandon which is uh kind of the Holy 48:52 Grail bourbon for me uh and I am very 48:56 very Giddy and happy um you might 48:59 explain what Kevin Kevin mallister 49:01 moments are for newbies okay I 49:04 will 49:06 um sorry I've cracked ice in my mouth 49:12 now if you remember the the movie Home 49:15 Alone Kevin McAllister is the main 49:16 character in in the very first mo movie 49:19 when he's having fun in the house he 49:21 puts on his dad's aftershave right and 49:24 goes that moment 49:28 um when you're first starting to use AI 49:35 invariably invariably you'll have a 49:38 moment that's your holy [ __ ] moment it's 49:41 just it like and and I don't I don't 49:44 know anyone who's who's really tried AI 49:46 like there there's a difference between 49:48 I went to chat GPT once and I typed in 49:50 something and yeah yeah I used it no no 49:52 there's a difference between that and 49:54 using it long enough 49:57 to have chat GPT do something that you 50:00 deeply 50:01 understand and when it does something 50:04 that you understand and you see how fast 50:07 it does it and how well it does it 50:10 that's generally a Kevin mallister 50:12 moment that's generally this moment 50:13 where you're just like uh oh oh it does 50:18 that 50:20 uh uh should I look for a new job like 50:24 it like it 50:27 it's not always Pleasant right but it's 50:31 always 50:34 impactful accountable watch I'm not 50:36 afraid anymore 50:38 exactly there's something about playing 50:41 with these tools they they are they are 50:44 a a lot less scary when you use them you 50:48 see that they're imperfect you see that 50:50 they're janky you see that they're just 50:54 tools you also see that when they get 50:59 much 51:00 better some shit's going to 51:03 change for for all of 51:06 us and so there's 51:10 this it's not a linear it's not a linear 51:13 path with with 51:16 um oh I saw that Apple's going to launch 51:19 sir is in AI assistant that's 51:20 interesting Kayla yeah I've been I've 51:23 been uh I've been dreading that 51:27 I think they should retire Siri and just 51:29 start a new thing but listen it's it's 51:31 their brand um yeah that's really 51:37 interesting it's not a linear path with 51:39 this AI stuff it is it's it's very kind 51:42 of cyclical where 51:46 where one of the things that generative 51:48 AI does is it empowers you it like it it 51:51 empowers your Humanity if you have 51:55 always wanted to draw but you suck at 51:57 drawing but you have visions for what 51:59 you would draw if you had the 52:01 talent you can do that now if you can 52:04 draw like a [ __ ] but you're not 52:08 good with the 52:09 words and you thought it'd be swell if 52:12 you could write a poem someday now you 52:15 can if you were not good at programming 52:17 now you are if you were not good at 52:19 English literature comparative 52:21 literature now you 52:23 are and so there's a 52:26 the sort of the sort of upslope of the 52:29 experience is holy crap I can do so much 52:32 like it it totally opens up your mind 52:35 and so so there are phases of it where 52:37 it's like empowering and uplifting and 52:39 you're like oh my God the the world is 52:42 my 52:44 oyster you're singing with your dog 52:46 everything's happy with the world and 52:48 then there's other times you're like 52:49 wait a minute if this tool gets much 52:51 better what is that whole industry going 52:54 to do and then you kind of to go down 52:56 down the slope of like oh [ __ ] shit's 52:59 going to change and then you go back up 53:01 and then you go down and it's it's very 53:02 much like 53:03 that that would be similar to Banning 53:06 computers because typewriter 53:08 manufacturers and repair shops would 53:10 lose their business yeah oh so so that's 53:12 the other thing one of the things I try 53:14 to do I try to do in here I am clearly 53:16 an optimist for this stuff right but I 53:19 don't want like this is not blind 53:21 optimism I try to be realistic in here 53:23 as as as realistic as I can 53:28 and one of the things I actually try to 53:31 avoid it's it's it's it's not completely 53:33 avoidable in in a lot of 53:36 ways 53:38 is any any judgment around you know is 53:43 it good or bad that we have ai is AI 53:46 good or bad is AI good or evil like all 53:49 of those all of those argu do we have 53:51 AGI artificial general intelligence or 53:54 not do you know have we passed the 53:56 Turning test or not there's all sorts 53:59 of 54:00 esoteric and and some of them are 54:02 important you know some of the ethical 54:04 things are not esoteric they're actually 54:06 important 54:07 conversations but they're they're 54:14 essentially um those conversations are 54:17 independent of the fact that these tools 54:20 are here and they're not going away so 54:23 what I what I'm trying to make this 54:24 Channel about 54:26 is assuming 54:29 that my hypothesis is right that these 54:33 tools we're not in a hype cycle and this 54:35 is not like 54:37 nfts and you know Crypt Bros where you 54:40 know they deserve to go sit in the 54:42 corner for a couple of years um this AI 54:46 stuff is not going away in fact it's 54:48 it's here and it's getting better fast 54:51 and it's 54:52 accelerating if that's the case we can 54:56 have all the conversation about ethics 54:57 and responsibility and safety and 54:59 privacy we want and we need to 55:02 understand what it is we need to 55:05 understand what's here we need to 55:07 understand what's coming the only way to 55:09 do that is to use it and so I try to 55:12 avoid you know conversations about well 55:14 should we have ai it doesn't matter it's 55:18 here 55:20 um and then yeah and when you use it it 55:24 it does it it it 55:27 de it removes some of the power 55:32 of your fantasy right your fantasy of 55:35 what AI 55:37 is um do you think AI will 55:40 get banned to some country to keep jobs 55:45 oh banned in some countries to keep jobs 55:48 no I don't I don't because because what 55:52 what governments are going to well I 55:54 mean it may get banned in in some 55:56 countries because it puts too much power 55:59 in the hands of individuals if you're in 56:01 a country where you know power of the 56:04 individual is fr frowned upon I could 56:06 see it being banned for that but but it 56:08 won't be banned for an economic thing 56:11 like to 56:12 protect the buggy industry from the evil 56:16 internal combustion engine Vehicles 56:19 right I like I I think I think companies 56:23 or countries governments recognize 56:26 that a key to increasing productivity is 56:31 is going to be these tools so so I don't 56:33 I don't see it being um done like that I 56:36 think in some 56:37 Industries you're going to absolutely 56:40 see what I'm calling Kodak moments we've 56:42 got Kevin McAllister moments and we've 56:44 got Kodak moments and my definition of 56:46 Kodak moments are not the one where 56:48 you're standing you know with a sunset 56:50 behind you and you take a lovely picture 56:51 of it I'm talking about the Kodak moment 56:54 where 56:56 the the team that invented the digital 56:59 camera walked into the SE Suite of Kodak 57:03 and said hey bosses we've invented the 57:05 digital camera what do you think and the 57:08 bosses at 57:10 Kodak sat back with their cigar and 57:12 their whiskey they're like listen 57:16 boy I don't I don't know what this 57:18 ridiculous the digital camera what these 57:21 pixels are uh but we're in the silver 57:24 Halli business this is about chemicals 57:28 boy get out of my office with that silly 57:31 thing you got to put batteries in a 57:33 camera to take a picture how do you look 57:35 at them oh you look at them on a 57:37 computer screen that's hilarious this is 57:40 about photographic paper and film boy 57:42 get out of 57:44 here we're going to 57:46 see Kodak moment after Kodak moment 57:50 after Kodak moment from 2024 to 20 20 7 57:56 we're going to see big 57:59 companies absolutely try to legislate 58:02 internally their way around this [ __ ] 58:06 it's not the business we're in and 58:07 they're going to get [ __ ] 58:09 blindsided it's going to be 58:12 astounding it's it's it's like it's sort 58:15 of the corporate grab your popcorn we're 58:17 entering the corporate grab your popcorn 58:23 era it's going to be crazy 58:29 [Music] 58:32 C all 58:34 right it's an equalizer it's absolutely 58:37 an equalizer it's it's it's not only an 58:39 equalizer well it's a yeah it's it's 58:42 that's a really interesting how do you 58:44 how do you categorize 58:45 it it 58:47 democratizes capability and 58:50 knowledge you don't have to go 58:54 get a 4-year degree to learn a new area 58:58 of knowledge you can just you've got 59:01 instant access to that knowledge did 59:04 someone say blandon's caramel 59:06 popcorn oh I don't know did they M 59:13 tasty there he 59:17 is it's so 59:20 good it's really good it's really 59:24 good 59:25 I work for a startup and they're 59:26 embracing AI 59:29 awesome I'll tell you what startups that 59:31 Embrace AI are going to be able to kick 59:33 the [ __ ] out of some incumbents that 59:35 resist this stuff it's going to be this 59:38 going to be a really exciting time and 59:40 it's like as much as I joke about the 59:42 you know the Kodak moment and the blo 59:44 hard seet people there's absolutely 59:47 going to be 59:48 that what that means is opportunity for 59:52 young companies and and um nimble 59:55 small 59:58 companies if if a big company resists 1:00:01 for three months or six 1:00:05 months small companies are going to have 1:00:07 massive opportunity to go um get a bunch 1:00:11 of clients it's going to be wild going 1:00:13 to be 1:00:15 wild wild wild wild I tried 10 different 1:00:19 phrasings always the same dumb 1:00:21 answer you mean in in putting a prompt 1:00:24 together for chat GPT so so hang hang on 1:00:27 a sec remember to make your cowboy Face 1:00:28 movie okay I'll do that 1:00:30 Tobias okay here's the thing about 1:00:33 prompting so so the the way you 1:00:35 described it gives me a little hint why 1:00:37 something may be 1:00:39 happening Google searches for the past 1:00:42 15 or 20 years have trained us to put 1:00:44 kind of the the minimum amount into the 1:00:47 Google search bar to get the best 1:00:50 results chat GPT and all L large 1:00:53 language models are kind of the opposite 1:00:56 in terms of their behavior large 1:00:58 language models do better when you give 1:01:00 them lots of context so so rather than 1:01:03 just saying write me a business plan for 1:01:05 my startup about you know shaving 1:01:08 dogs whatever it 1:01:10 is um give it context I want you to act 1:01:15 as a business consultant that works with 1:01:17 startups in in the petgroooming industry 1:01:20 um here's my background here's my 1:01:23 company's background here's what the 1:01:25 company is called 1:01:27 um um here's uh the town we live in and 1:01:32 what's going on here economically and 1:01:34 this and that can you help me write the 1:01:37 outline of a business plan for this 1:01:39 business and then it will be much better 1:01:43 giving giving the large language model 1:01:45 that context the way these things work 1:01:47 is they've been trained on so much data 1:01:51 that if you just give it a thin generic 1:01:53 prompt like a simple little 1:01:55 phrase it sort of 1:01:58 amalgamates all of what's been on the 1:02:00 internet for 40 years into a a kind of 1:02:03 generic shitty answer but if you give it 1:02:06 all this other context it Narrows its 1:02:09 knowledge window 1:02:11 increasingly and so when it's writing 1:02:13 your answer it's writing it from a much 1:02:15 more focused data set for for lack of a 1:02:17 better term it's not quite how it works 1:02:20 but it's it's in the 1:02:21 neighborhood okay let me let me get a 1:02:23 couple more comments here I asked AI why 1:02:26 there's a speed limit on spooky action 1:02:28 at a distance couldn't even get close to 1:02:31 an 1:02:33 answer well let's go let's go try that 1:02:35 Kyle what would you consider to be the 1:02:37 next step to learn after gpts what's the 1:02:41 next 1:02:42 level 1:02:44 um well I would say I would 1:02:47 say keep making 1:02:50 gpts um and and get increasingly 1:02:53 sophisticated with them like like 1:02:55 Daisy's made 80 of them now um and and 1:03:00 some of the ones she's been describing 1:03:01 recently are are pretty sophisticated 1:03:03 like the knowledge sets the the the know 1:03:06 the data that she's putting into her 1:03:07 gpts is what's making them special so 1:03:10 it's a combination of learning the 1:03:12 prompting doing that I would say 1:03:14 learning to add actions to gpts so 1:03:16 actually using the API interface for 1:03:19 gpts is a good next action 1:03:23 um I would also 1:03:26 say really starting to get your head 1:03:29 around what's happening with video 1:03:32 audio um the the Avatar animations and 1:03:37 synthesis all that sort of stuff is is 1:03:40 important to learn so it's not just chat 1:03:43 GPT I'd say go beyond 1:03:46 that 1:03:52 um and then and then I think that the 1:03:54 the the the that the real answer is like 1:03:56 the answer isn't always in learning 1:03:58 other Technologies maybe the next thing 1:04:00 after learning gpts is go find a 1:04:04 business that needs 1:04:07 help and see if and offer to help them 1:04:10 for free or for really cheap and just 1:04:13 let them know hey I'm learning AI I know 1:04:15 that you've got marketing issues I want 1:04:18 to teach myself how to do marketing at a 1:04:21 worldclass level using chat GPT are you 1:04:24 willing to be my guinea pig like like 1:04:27 switch from the technology to the to the 1:04:30 real world application of it I feel I I 1:04:32 feel like you learn way more when you 1:04:35 when you're solving a problem than when 1:04:37 you're just trying to read the manual 1:04:40 right and there are no manuals right now 1:04:42 but it's just like if you're just trying 1:04:44 to learn like what is chat GPT what's it 1:04:46 good at what's it not good at let me 1:04:48 think of all the ways that I could 1:04:50 prompt it to try to figure out what it's 1:04:51 good at or not you don't learn nearly as 1:04:53 much doing that Lord digital Gods thank 1:04:55 you for the 1:04:57 rues you don't learn nearly as much 1:04:59 doing that as when you say I'm working 1:05:01 for a pizza company and we just wrote a 1:05:04 bunch of ads and the owner hated them 1:05:07 all right how do I do this better so 1:05:08 that that the owner loves 1:05:10 them um are apis like ift or shortcuts 1:05:15 um they're sort of like that gravity 1:05:16 jump so so API stands for application 1:05:19 programming 1:05:21 interface if and zappier and these 1:05:25 automation 1:05:26 tools they use a lot of apis basically 1:05:29 what an API is is an API lets this 1:05:32 service talk to this service from a 1:05:34 computer standpoint so if you want your 1:05:37 GPT to talk to Google maps to put a pin 1:05:41 on a map from some location your GPT 1:05:44 found for a vacation spot then you would 1:05:47 use the Google Maps API to connect your 1:05:50 GPT with Google Maps and place that pin 1:05:53 so it just allows two pieces of software 1:05:55 to talk to one another and then if 1:05:58 zapier and make they put kind of a 1:06:00 friendly front end on top of apis so 1:06:03 that you don't have it if you're a 1:06:06 programmer you have to code apis what 1:06:09 zappier does and what ift does is they 1:06:13 hide all of that [ __ ] and you just sort 1:06:15 of connect this Lego block to that Lego 1:06:17 block but what's happening underneath it 1:06:20 is there's code where those apis are 1:06:22 talking to one another so it's in the 1:06:23 neighborhood are gpts only good for 1:06:26 getting information from a company 1:06:28 website no no they're they they they can 1:06:32 they they've got full access to to all 1:06:34 of the capabilities of 1:06:36 gp4 so they can make images they can see 1:06:40 images like you can upload an image to a 1:06:43 GPT um Corey Sandler from Corey Sandler 1:06:46 pottery made a GPT where you upload an 1:06:49 image of your face without glasses and 1:06:52 then it will sort of recreate your face 1:06:54 with wacky glasses on it and you can 1:06:56 describe the kind of glasses you want 1:06:58 it's it's a sort of glasses making thing 1:07:01 um you can also it's you you can point a 1:07:05 GPT to a website as the knowledge base 1:07:08 but you can also upload PDFs of 1:07:10 knowledge to the 1:07:12 GPT all right what are the cards you 1:07:15 have in your picture and picture those 1:07:18 are those are a so so one of the inside 1:07:22 jokes with the AI learning lab are we 1:07:24 have the AI learning lab Zoo so we have 1:07:27 hedgehogs and turtles and llamas and 1:07:30 there's been a lot of controversy lately 1:07:32 with people trying to add Rogue animals 1:07:35 to the AI learning lab Zoo like like 1:07:37 Cindy [ __ ] has added raccoons uh she got 1:07:40 in through a 1:07:41 technicality it was not a popular 1:07:43 decision there were a lot of protests so 1:07:46 so these were um I I forget who did this 1:07:50 um but these were the an attempt to say 1:07:52 here's how we could organize the the the 1:07:55 AI learning lab animals with trading 1:07:57 cards which I thought was 1:08:01 cute just a just a silly little 1:08:05 action all 1:08:07 right I love solving problems that's my 1:08:10 art oh that's Emilio's wife's art oh 1:08:12 that's right Emilio's wife yeah exactly 1:08:15 so and I think it's actually a great 1:08:16 idea I mean and and we are certainly in 1:08:19 an era where you're going to be able to 1:08:22 just if you want to come up with cards 1:08:24 like these and have them printed printed 1:08:26 you'll just be able to knock it out over 1:08:28 a 1:08:34 weekend have I ever told you how good 1:08:36 Blandon 1:08:37 is I'm a small business awesome creative 1:08:40 roots awesome awesome awesome right now 1:08:43 I'm creating a task management tool 1:08:45 using Google Sheets and zappier and and 1:08:48 GPT super cool you know what I did the 1:08:50 other day Drew is um for the for the 1:08:53 trans translation product that I'm 1:08:55 putting together for Story vine um I 1:08:58 created a 1:08:59 GPT where I take the the text from the 1:09:02 lower third Graphics in a video so you 1:09:04 know um introduction and you know my 1:09:08 diagnosis and whatever the text is that 1:09:10 shows up on screen when a person's 1:09:12 telling their story so I created a a 1:09:15 spreadsheet where you pop in the 1:09:17 English and then the the the row the top 1:09:22 row you put in all the different 1:09:24 languages you want those lower thirds 1:09:26 translated into and it just does all the 1:09:30 translations so you pop in the the 1:09:32 English lower thirds and it's just like 1:09:35 here's Spanish here's German here's 1:09:36 Japanese here's Hindi here's this here's 1:09:39 that and it's just magical it just goes 1:09:40 like you know calculating or whatever it 1:09:42 says and it just goes and it just 1:09:45 populates the thing absolutely amazing 1:09:47 creative roots I got inspired to start 1:09:49 an ebook after your last live creative 1:09:51 roots okay so listen um I don't know if 1:09:53 Jim Jim Ross is in here tonight but you 1:09:56 should check out a dude Nam check out a 1:09:59 dude named Jim Ross who's in the um the 1:10:04 Self Storage business right it seems 1:10:07 like the last thing you'd think about 1:10:08 with with AI um Jim's like a total 1:10:13 baller with this stuff like he's been 1:10:15 using chat GPT since it came out and he 1:10:18 comes to these lives a lot and what what 1:10:20 he does is he does what just what you 1:10:22 did so he's got a book now because on 1:10:24 one of my lives I said something about 1:10:25 starting an ebook and while I was 1:10:28 talking about it he was making 1:10:31 one and and then like within within a 1:10:35 day he had he had written an ebook about 1:10:38 his whole 1:10:39 philosophy of how do you how how do you 1:10:42 like buy and manage these self- storage 1:10:46 businesses and and so like a week later 1:10:48 he's like Kyle I got a book I'm like 1:10:50 what are you talking about he showed me 1:10:52 a picture of it he goes he goes I made 1:10:55 this book and so he's he's taken like 1:10:57 all the ideas we have in here and he 1:10:59 just applies them to his business 1:11:00 regularly and like anywhere he's 1:11:02 learning he's just a sponge and he just 1:11:04 tries it out so one night one night I 1:11:07 was in here and I was showing off sunno 1:11:10 which is this tool that makes these 1:11:12 stupid songs right you just give it a a 1:11:15 a topic and it'll write a song with 1:11:17 lyrics right and sing it for you and so 1:11:20 while I was talking about it he had just 1:11:22 gotten out of a meeting with with 1:11:25 someone and he thought I know I'll I'll 1:11:28 send them a song so he went to sunno and 1:11:32 and wrote a song about them working 1:11:34 together and you know succeeding in the 1:11:37 storage business together sent him the 1:11:39 song and five minutes later they wrote 1:11:42 him back an email and said you're hired 1:11:44 like or you know we're in the deal's 1:11:46 done so um just so you you should 1:11:49 connect with Jim Ross you can find him 1:11:51 on LinkedIn um he's just a really goody 1:11:54 guy and he and he's just he's just like 1:11:56 [ __ ] leaning into this stuff and 1:11:57 having a blast with it and it's working 1:12:00 let's see p modder I worked on a team in 1:12:03 Alexa focused on preventing brand 1:12:05 damaging something yeah um pate if if if 1:12:10 you're um so Pate works for Google Pate 1:12:12 knows this stuff uh from the technical 1:12:14 side really well um I work in the AI 1:12:17 industry and I'm pretty familiar with 1:12:18 this stuff we avoid health I assume 1:12:21 Health stuff um gpts 1:12:24 there there are three industries that 1:12:26 gpts are basically saying don't do 1:12:29 anything with these three Industries and 1:12:31 it's Financial Services healthc care and 1:12:35 what was the third one was another 1:12:37 regulated 1:12:39 industry I forget what it was but you 1:12:41 should go look at the um oh politics was 1:12:45 the other one raccoon Rock I got 1:12:48 inspired to start an ebook that's 1:12:52 awesome 1:12:56 Stacy braa I'm out of control Kyle I've 1:12:58 not slept in 24 hours I also created and 1:13:01 and am now framing 1:13:02 artwork I mean this is the this is it's 1:13:05 not a problem this this is what happens 1:13:07 right when when you have your Kevin 1:13:09 McAllister moment with AI when you go ah 1:13:12 I I remember when I was first getting 1:13:15 into this this was like last January or 1:13:17 February I had multiple nights where I 1:13:20 woke up at 4 in the 1:13:22 morning like 1:13:25 ping I gotta do this and I threw open my 1:13:28 laptop and went straight to chat GPT and 1:13:30 started doing 1:13:32 stuff like there's there's 1:13:35 something it these tools are doing 1:13:38 things to my brain that they are 1:13:41 expanding my 1:13:43 brain Kevin mallister moments that's 1:13:46 true yeah it's yeah I like the Kevin 1:13:49 Mall my first Kevin McAllister moment 1:13:51 happened in December of 22 1:13:54 like the first week in 1:13:56 December right after chat GPT came out 1:13:59 and in 90 minutes I had written a fully 1:14:01 functional python application that was 1:14:03 making API calls to open Ai and I've 1:14:06 never written a line of python in my 1:14:08 life still haven't that was that was my 1:14:11 first one where I was like oh [ __ ] like 1:14:13 the world's 1:14:15 different I don't care what anyone says 1:14:17 at this point they can put poo at all 1:14:19 they want when you've experienced 1:14:21 something like that if you've ever tried 1:14:23 to teach yourself a programming language 1:14:25 and and and just get past hello world 1:14:28 even to get to hello 1:14:32 world and then you just instantly 1:14:34 generate a python 1:14:36 application with no effort little effort 1:14:41 it's it's a it's a mind-blowing thing 1:14:44 and then yeah it's ongoing Kevin 1:14:47 McAllister moments we are adding a 1:14:49 Blanton's horse to the zoo I hope oh we 1:14:52 should absolutely add a blandon's horse 1:14:53 to the 1:14:54 zoo so if you don't know about the 1:14:56 blandon's 1:15:02 horses so there's 1:15:04 a an early filmmaker named Edward 1:15:07 mbridge 1:15:08 and he's the one that did the 1:15:12 famous film of the horse running it was 1:15:15 where they first realized that there are 1:15:17 moments where all four legs of a horse 1:15:20 are off the ground and so the blandon's 1:15:23 work Stoppers are the different frames 1:15:27 of Edward 1:15:28 muybridge's things and on 1:15:32 each 1:15:34 um each topper is a letter and if you 1:15:37 collect them all it spells Blandon and 1:15:39 it makes the full 1:15:42 animation which is super 1:15:45 cool all right so here's what we're 1:15:47 going to do great photography moment so 1:15:49 cool yay horses yeah I think we should 1:15:51 add a we should add a blandon's horse I 1:15:53 but here's the deal with the blands 1:15:55 horse so we've got we've got gummy bears 1:15:58 and we've got um blue rubber 1:16:02 duckies um thanks to um Google to 1:16:08 Gemini um I think with the blandon's 1:16:10 horse they should either be brass or 1:16:12 they should always be on a cork stopper 1:16:13 like a horse on a cork 1:16:16 stopper thank you Sher bear um I didn't 1:16:20 realize that was the same horse yeah 1:16:22 that was it someone did something and 1:16:24 deleted malicious 1:16:27 code recently my domain provider took 1:16:30 all my domains down cause malware code 1:16:34 GPT wrote a python script to scan all 1:16:36 the files thousands and deleted the 1:16:39 malicious code 1:16:41 amazing that's so so if you're if you're 1:16:45 in that place of I don't know what to 1:16:47 make chat GPT 1:16:49 make one of the things that it's good at 1:16:52 I think it's actually better at this 1:16:53 than generating stuff wholesale it's 1:16:55 really good at analyzing other 1:16:58 documents I I've uploaded screenplays 1:17:00 and it analyzes the [ __ ] out of my 1:17:02 screenplays you can upload code and tell 1:17:04 it to find the bugs in the code in this 1:17:06 case Jonathan by um had it scan a bunch 1:17:09 of code and find malicious code within 1:17:12 the code holy [ __ ] right it's really 1:17:15 good at that we'll have to do a marathon 1:17:17 of GPT and integration tools at some 1:17:19 point point yeah so Drew I'm gonna I'm 1:17:22 going to itely get my my [ __ ] together 1:17:25 with apis because a I think they're 1:17:28 going to get much easier to implement um 1:17:31 but but I think it's it it's so 1:17:33 important for for this community to 1:17:36 understand 1:17:37 that that you don't need to be a 1:17:41 programmer to do really sophisticated 1:17:43 applications you can do it with zappier 1:17:45 right now but you still got to think 1:17:47 like a programmer we are very quickly 1:17:49 getting into the place where these gpts 1:17:52 are going to get very very sophisticated 1:17:55 um and you're not going to have to know 1:17:56 a lot of tech to be able to do it but 1:17:58 you are going to have to be able to 1:18:00 think conceptually like hey if someone's 1:18:03 talking about you know um ordering 1:18:06 something uh from Amazon wouldn't it be 1:18:09 nice if we could actually just connect 1:18:11 to the Amazon ordering API and make that 1:18:14 happen right so yeah I I agree with that 1:18:17 I think that's a good call all right so 1:18:19 listen I promised we would do we would 1:18:22 turn hotti Cowboy into something then I 1:18:26 got I got so rudely interrupted with a a 1:18:30 lovely parting gift or not parting gift 1:18:34 anniversary gift um wait where was I oh 1:18:38 I was here and I was here all right so 1:18:43 we're going to take this dude did I 1:18:44 already export him I think I did and 1:18:46 we're gonna we're going to chop off Remy 1:18:47 at the bottom because we don't want it 1:18:49 this to be a giant reminy 1:18:52 ad so so that that cowboy I made that 1:18:57 there's this app called reminy that does 1:18:59 like like you know head shots and and 1:19:03 that was one of the one of the models 1:19:05 you could choose as a cowboy and I'm 1:19:07 like well that's going to be dumb and it 1:19:08 made that and I'm like I I am pretty 1:19:10 good 1:19:13 looking all right let's see did I do it 1:19:16 in downloads or desktop I think I did it 1:19:18 in desktop do I have a cowboy H guess 1:19:22 not all right 1:19:27 export export one 1:19:29 photo yeah I must have done 1:19:32 this that desktop we'll go export all 1:19:38 right let me go over here now there's 1:19:41 Cowboy let's open that up we're going to 1:19:44 crop it b boom boom like that we're 1:19:48 going to go tools 1:19:52 crop okay 1:19:54 so what we're going to do is we're going 1:19:55 to take this here handsome 1:19:57 Feller 1:20:01 howdie howy partner want to ride my 1:20:05 [Laughter] 1:20:11 stallion okay so what are we going to do 1:20:13 here what are we going to do first we're 1:20:14 going to bring him to life so let's go 1:20:16 to chat GPT always a good place to start 1:20:19 we'll go to chat 1:20:21 jpt say 1:20:29 um you are an 1:20:32 advertising 1:20:35 copywriter that 1:20:37 specializes in dude 1:20:41 ranches and I want you to 1:20:44 write a script for a short 30 1:20:48 second 1:20:50 commercial 1:20:52 where 1:20:58 a 1:21:01 cowboy invites 1:21:06 people to ride the Stallions at the Dude 1:21:12 Ranch 1:21:16 in suggestive language full of double on 1:21:22 Tundras 1:21:23 sure all right let's see rugged cowboy 1:21:27 stands in a picturesque field that's 1:21:28 what we have look there he is rugged 1:21:32 cowboy standing in a picturesque 1:21:35 field whether you're a seasoned Rider or 1:21:38 just looking for a new oh come on 1:21:39 regenerate come on come on chat jpt 1:21:42 don't give up on me 1:21:44 now all right Howdy Folks ever 1:21:49 dreamt Howdy Folks ever dreamt of 1:21:53 mounting a real 1:21:57 stallion here at the ranch name our 1:22:00 stallion are not just for show they're 1:22:03 strong sturdy and always ready for a 1:22:05 real wild ride feel the power between 1:22:09 your legs oh this is this is this is 1:22:11 solid we'll just we'll just stop it 1:22:13 right there wa let's 1:22:16 see um let me 1:22:19 see make it a bit shorter and just make 1:22:22 it a single parag 1:22:28 gra oh with a Sly grin howdy Partners 1:22:31 ever fancy fancied a thrilling ride here 1:22:35 at wait let's come up with the ranch 1:22:37 name let's uh give me 10 Dude Ranch 1:22:41 names that lean into the double on 1:22:47 Tandra and by the way as the Ross here 1:22:51 the stallions are here for the stock 1:22:53 show oh that's true yeah so so in Denver 1:22:56 they just started the uh the stock show 1:22:58 so um when was it Friday Thursday or 1:23:01 Friday the uh the big Longhorns were 1:23:04 walking through the streets of Denver 1:23:06 the saddle up serenade Ranch wild 1:23:08 Whispers no Riding High Retreat buckling 1:23:11 Beauty oh bucking Beauty Stirrup and 1:23:14 stride Mountain moan Meadows that's 1:23:17 that's just too on the nose horse play 1:23:20 Homestead spur and sigh San 1:23:23 W these 1:23:25 are give me 10 1:23:31 more oh but what I was saying 1:23:35 is one of the reasons I do silly [ __ ] in 1:23:38 here is that the value of play playing 1:23:42 with these tools like play like just 1:23:45 dick around with it and play I learn so 1:23:49 much in I'll do something that I think 1:23:52 is silly and ridiculous and then all of 1:23:54 a sudden it'll generate a result where 1:23:55 I'm like oh that's really good and then 1:23:57 before I know it I've got some fully 1:23:59 fleshed out idea and you also just learn 1:24:02 how to use the tools in in increasingly 1:24:06 um I don't know deep ways caner and 1:24:09 caress cap Galloping Glee grounds rope 1:24:13 and Rapture 1:24:17 Ranch 1:24:21 Bridal 1:24:23 all right make it more about the 1:24:25 stallions than the sexual 1:24:30 inuendo absolutely 10 Ranch names 1:24:33 stallion 1:24:35 Spirit Noble 1:24:41 Steed um Valiant Trot Trails Thunder 1:24:44 hoof 1:24:49 Haven my stallion spear here at the 1:24:53 stallion Spirit Ranch okay okay rewrite 1:24:57 the script with the name stallion Spirit 1:25:01 Ranch is the name of the 1:25:13 ranch yeah so all right so what we're 1:25:16 going to do here there's a couple of 1:25:18 there's a couple of ways I could do this 1:25:20 I 1:25:21 could I could synthesize a voice just 1:25:24 pick a synthesized 1:25:26 voice but I think what I'm going to do 1:25:28 is I'm going to read it in my funny 1:25:29 southern 1:25:31 accent or my cowboy 1:25:34 accent so I'm just going to record the 1:25:37 audio and then we're going to take that 1:25:39 picture over to D D- ID and and we'll 1:25:44 just use the recording that I record 1:25:51 here 1:25:59 oh make it shorter in just a single 1:26:02 paragraph like you did 1:26:07 before hey Mr K good to see you TK 1:26:11 what's happening good to see you jenu 1:26:15 what's happening Silver Fox Dr 1:26:19 J can it write my book um it can write 1:26:23 books I'm in the middle of writing a 1:26:24 chapter of a book right now where I did 1:26:28 I took all my best practices for how to 1:26:30 have it 1:26:31 right and now I'm going through and 1:26:33 editing what it wrote and I'm I'm having 1:26:35 to completely rewrite way more of it 1:26:38 than I thought I would have to um so it 1:26:41 can absolutely write a book if if you 1:26:44 want it to write a book that you're 1:26:45 proud of you're going to have to do a 1:26:47 lot of work 1:26:51 still welcome to stallion Spirit Ranch 1:26:54 where Legends Roam and Adventures await 1:26:56 our stallions are more than just horses 1:26:58 they're your partners in an 1:26:59 unforgettable journey of strength and 1:27:01 spirit no oh God damn 1:27:06 it uh please rewrite adding back in the 1:27:09 double on andras and the 1:27:13 playful 1:27:15 seductiveness good Lord Chad GPT do you 1:27:18 not understand anything we were talking 1:27:20 about here this is about comedy people 1:27:22 comedy 1:27:23 comedy oh my God and now it broke it 1:27:26 into two paragraphs again JZ 1:27:30 lordy welcome to sty Spirit Ranch where 1:27:32 our rides are as thrilling as our nights 1:27:35 now this we're going to go back to what 1:27:36 we had before hang on 1:27:39 people this is one of the things that 1:27:41 you'll you'll experience with chat GPT 1:27:43 is like you're going down a good place 1:27:45 and then you take a little you know 1:27:47 detour and you try to come back to it 1:27:49 and it can't come back here we go howdy 1:27:52 partner 1:27:53 ever fancied a thrilling 1:27:55 ride all right so we're going to go pop 1:27:57 this 1:28:00 into 1:28:04 here all right and what did we call it 1:28:07 what would we call our Ranch people what 1:28:09 do we call the 1:28:14 [Music] 1:28:16 ranch Stallion and Spirit 1:28:20 Ranch here it's 1:28:24 dallion Spirit 1:28:31 Ranch and if you're wondering what we're 1:28:32 doing here I'm going to take that 1:28:35 picture and bring it to life and so 1:28:39 we're going to bring it to life it's got 1:28:40 to say something and we could have it 1:28:42 just say anything but that guy needs to 1:28:46 say something very 1:28:47 particular howy Partners ever fancy a 1:28:50 thrilling ever fancied a thrilling ride 1:28:54 here at stallion Spirit Ranch our change Daisy Thomas what is this news I 1:29:39 was going to talk about the new Apple 1:29:41 what is it m something 1:29:44 x what what is this why can I 1:29:49 not oh chat GPT statistics 1:29:54 is this the one that 180 million monthly 1:29:57 users 100 million 1:30:04 weekly spend 700 Grand a day the 700 1:30:07 Grand a day so chat jpt is forecasted to 1:30:10 generate revenue of a billion dollars in 1:30:12 2024 spend 1:30:15 $700,000 a day $700,000 a day comes out 1:30:18 to roughly 225,000 or uh 200 25 million 1:30:23 or 250 million so it's essentially a 1:30:26 quarter of the billion dollars in 1:30:28 Revenue so um there was a there was a 1:30:32 there was kind of a brew haa a few 1:30:34 months ago where that $700,000 a day 1:30:38 number came out and they're like chat 1:30:39 GPT is going to be bankrupt by 2024 1:30:42 they're spending $700,000 a day well 1:30:45 they're making a billion so they're 1:30:47 making four times more than they're 1:30:48 spending at at least on sort of daily 1:30:51 computer cute cost I know they're 1:30:53 spending things on you know things like 1:30:55 o salaries which they're not they're 1:30:58 spending a lot of money on salaries um 1:31:01 1.7 seven Seven Nations including China 1:31:05 and Russia cannot access chat 1:31:09 GPT the the fact that they're not 1:31:12 putting how many subscribers they have 1:31:14 in their top picks of their statistics 1:31:16 tells me a 1:31:20 lot I think they've got somewhere 1:31:22 between 250,000 and a million gp4 1:31:26 subscribers which is which is low it 1:31:29 means we're still very early people very 1:31:32 very very early all right anyway let's 1:31:36 get back to our Cowboy shall 1:31:39 we oh 1:31:41 yeah should he have a 1:31:46 name Cowboy Kyle just doesn't cut it 1:31:49 it's just not it's got to be like w 1:31:53 or some [ __ ] all right so what I'm going 1:31:55 to do is I'm going to just fire up quick 1:31:58 time and so in quick time you can say 1:32:02 new audio 1:32:03 recording and it just pops up a little 1:32:06 audio recording box and so I'm just 1:32:08 going to do the audio recording and say 1:32:14 this howy 1:32:16 Partners 1:32:19 ah wait let me take let let take a sip 1:32:22 of a whiskey here I got to get in 1:32:25 character howdy partner life's tough 1:32:28 it's tougher when you're 1:32:30 stupid oh I think the sound of the The 1:32:33 Ice and the whiskey glass is good all 1:32:35 right here we 1:32:38 go howdy Partners ever 1:32:41 francer son of a 1:32:45 [ __ ] 1:32:49 Delete new audio recording 1:32:52 all right here we go 1:32:54 people howdy Partners ever fancied a 1:32:58 thrilling ride here at stallion Spirit 1:33:00 Ranch our stallions are more than just a 1:33:02 pretty sight they're strong eager and and join us for an unforgettable 1:33:16 Adventure where every turn is a new 1:33:20 Temptation yeeha 1:33:23 all right let's see if 1:33:25 that's howy Partners ever fancy to 1:33:28 thrilling ride here at stallion Spirit 1:33:31 Ranch our stallions are more than just a 1:33:32 pretty sight they're strong eager and 1:33:36 ready for some fun whether you're an 1:33:38 experienced rider or just looking for a 1:33:40 new kind of excitement we promise a ride 1:33:42 that'll leave you breathless so saddle 1:33:45 up and join us for an unforgettable 1:33:47 adventure for every turn is a new 1:33:50 Temptation yeeha all right fine good 1:33:54 enough for government work as they say 1:33:56 which I always that phrase good enough 1:33:58 for government work like I bet people 1:34:01 that work in government they're like hey 1:34:03 man don't be a jerk that's my work 1:34:06 you're talking 1:34:09 about all right save let's call this uh 1:34:15 stallion 1:34:17 Spirit 1:34:20 Cowboy okay 1:34:23 so we'll save that to the desktop 1:34:25 because I have ADD and I don't feel like 1:34:27 making subfolders CU I am lazy 1:34:32 lazy why don't you come down here 1:34:35 Daisy hey Daisy what's happening all 1:34:39 right so we're going to go to D- ID this 1:34:42 is the this is the place we're going to 1:34:43 go to bring this this here picture to 1:34:46 life D- 1:34:51 interfaces 1:34:54 evolved meet the natural user 1:34:59 interface honest to God every time I log 1:35:02 into these Services they've got a new 1:35:04 interface it's amazing how fast this 1:35:07 stuff's 1:35:10 evolving all right so here's how we do 1:35:12 this this is actually really quite 1:35:13 simple so here we are at our video 1:35:15 library this is a bunch of stuff that 1:35:17 I've made like this is George Miller 1:35:20 spending the weekend before Christmas 1:35:21 with friends is a heartwarming that's 1:35:23 not right this is George 1:35:26 Miller hi I'm George Miller my life's 1:35:29 always been about Simple Pleasures all 1:35:31 right we're going to create a 1:35:36 video and we're going to upload our hot 1:35:40 cowboy come over here hot 1:35:44 cowboy Oh 1:35:47 yeah you know I gotta get in shape cause 1:35:51 cause cause if I just switch out if I 1:35:53 just add a hat some shades and a little 1:35:55 stubble if if you know if if I didn't 1:35:58 have 13 1:35:59 chins all 1:36:02 [Music] 1:36:04 right all right there there there there 1:36:08 I are or it are there it 1:36:12 is 1:36:14 um can I do this as 1:36:17 a vertical video I don't think I can 1:36:28 oh that's interesting you can now you 1:36:30 can now change the 1:36:32 uh you can change the emotional look to 1:36:36 neutral serious surprise or happy um 1:36:41 which is good cuz sometimes it gets over 1:36:44 happy all right let's see so that's 1:36:49 going to be the image that talks and 1:36:51 then you can can either type in text and 1:36:53 pick a voice right so you 1:36:56 can do they have English Southern I 1:36:59 wonder if they do they probably don't 1:37:01 but 1:37:02 um you just sort of Select from a list 1:37:05 of 1:37:10 voices you can preview preview them oh 1:37:13 add a script to say it here we can grab 1:37:16 that 1:37:20 script 1:37:30 howdy 1:37:31 Partners ever fancied a thrilling 1:37:34 Rock so we're not going to do that we're 1:37:36 going to upload audio so upload your own 1:37:40 audio and then we're going to grab that 1:37:42 audio that we just 1:37:44 recorded and then we're going to say 1:37:45 generate video and this is it so so 1:37:47 basically all of that rambling I've been 1:37:50 doing for the past 15 minutes about 1:37:52 writing the script that was just about 1:37:54 having something to say um technically 1:37:57 how you make these things is quite 1:37:59 simple you you have the script and you 1:38:01 have it do the talking or you record 1:38:03 audio and then you just upload it and 1:38:05 say generate video and this is it 1:38:09 bang and so it's going to go make that 1:38:12 now and pretty soon we're going to have 1:38:14 that silly little brokeback Ranch oh 1:38:17 brokeback Ranch oh my God that was the 1:38:19 that's the name of it 1:38:22 oh Phoenix reborn oh dang it that's the 1:38:26 name of the ranch stallion spirit it's 1:38:28 brokeback Ranch oh so 1:38:34 good Kyle I feel like sometimes it 1:38:37 operates alongside the what working 1:38:39 hours wait I feel some days it operates 1:38:41 alongside it's like spot on for hours 1:38:43 take a break and then it gets stupid 1:38:46 well oh chat GPT chat all of these tools 1:38:49 every single one of these AI tools 1:38:53 is this weird combination of it's 1:38:58 [ __ ] brilliant Beyond Compare and 1:39:01 then you go to show it to someone and 1:39:02 it's just like I don't know what you're 1:39:04 talking about I'm just big dum dum and 1:39:07 oh it's so it's so maddening right now 1:39:09 the the lack of predictability in in 1:39:13 consistent outcomes is my single 1:39:16 greatest frustration with these tools 1:39:17 right now and that's if if if you're in 1:39:19 here and you're kind of new to this 1:39:21 stuff one of the things I talk a lot 1:39:23 about in here is 1:39:26 um don't take any of this [ __ ] too 1:39:29 seriously don't take it too seriously if 1:39:31 it's really good what you create or 1:39:34 don't take it too seriously if it's 1:39:36 really bad what you create because 1:39:38 everything's evolving all the time um 1:39:40 and these tools were very very early so 1:39:43 just expect that these things are going 1:39:45 to get better over time but but lack of 1:39:47 consistency right now is my single 1:39:48 biggest complaint about these all right 1:39:51 all right how Partners ever fancy to tomorrow I'll 1:41:36 start I'll I'll think about it tomorrow 1:41:39 and 1:41:40 then I'm going to go dig up my old 1:41:43 screen plays and I'm G to I'm going to 1:41:45 figure out I I think salmon flying East 1:41:49 is interesting because it's got 1:41:50 flashbacks to V Vietnam it's set in the 1:41:53 Pacific Northwest which is really 1:41:55 beautiful um it's the first screenplay I 1:41:58 wrote so that that one kind of makes 1:42:00 sense but I've got one called fight game 1:42:02 that's a it's a boxing SLC courtroom 1:42:06 drama movie I've got one called 1:42:08 virtue about it's kind of like a 1:42:10 Manchurian Candidate with virtual 1:42:13 reality um and and um like the 1:42:17 technology for virtue is we like you you 1:42:21 some of the stuff that they've announced 1:42:22 in the past year with what they're doing 1:42:24 with brains right now takes the the idea 1:42:27 that we had in in my sci-fi movie and it 1:42:29 makes it possible it's like holy 1:42:32 [ __ ] 1:42:34 um 1:42:36 so post it please I'd like to add it add 1:42:39 it to my list of parlor tricks 1:42:41 okay all right let me download ITN for 1:42:44 us Source Camp ride here at stallion 1:42:47 Spirit Ranch our stallions are more than 1:42:49 just a pretty site they're strong eager 1:42:53 I wish I hadn't stumbled on that one 1:42:55 word but 1:42:57 whatever everything's janky these days videos maybe I should put it on 1:43:25 uh can I get hired already 1:43:30 Blandon that's really good that's 1:43:35 awesome oh these are oh these are cool 1:43:38 oh I'm oh this is really good I'm really 1:43:40 glad we did um we did horse horse as the 1:43:45 as as as an addition to the zoo cuz 1:43:47 these are these are just 1:43:50 SL digital Gods Lord digital Gods I gave 1:43:54 you the I gave you the title of Lord on 1:43:57 top of digital gods and this is the 1:43:59 thanks I get Jo that's rough I don't 1:44:04 know if you know it but do you know what 1:44:05 I really look like do 1:44:08 you I look like that that's what I 1:44:11 really look like so you know just for 1:44:15 point of 1:44:16 reference this is not 1:44:20 me 1:44:24 Ah that's what what I found about um 1:44:27 generative AI with whatever my face 1:44:29 shape is it takes it one of two 1:44:32 directions it this is one of the 1:44:35 directions and I'm like oh yeah I'm good 1:44:37 looking and then this is the other of 1:44:40 the 1:44:41 directions where is 1:44:45 it the whale all right um let me see if 1:44:50 I can can upload a video without it 1:44:53 looking 1:44:56 weird or not looking weird like not 1:45:12 previewing the video is processing and 1:45:14 we'll finish soon so I'll say 1:45:19 um Avatar 1:45:21 test 1:45:24 with audio 1:45:27 [Applause] 1:45:30 recording 1:45:33 um and let's see uh image 1:45:38 from 1:45:40 reminy um animation from 1:45:44 D- 1:45:46 D- id.com 1:45:52 uh reminy 1:45:58 app all right it looks like it's going 1:46:01 to so I'm going to put videos I'll put 1:46:05 Irregulars it looks like it's going to 1:46:07 preview it in here so I'll post it we're 1:46:10 not going to notify the entire 1:46:14 network can I play it here it pops it up 1:46:17 over here that's 1:46:18 okay howy Partners all right ever fancy 1:46:21 to thrilling ride here it's and actually 1:46:24 you know what I should do is I should 1:46:25 put music behind that like a good musicy 1:46:28 kind of thing but whatever that that at 1:46:30 least gives you the it at least gives 1:46:32 you 1:46:35 a a 1:46:40 ridiculous 1:46:41 crazy crazy crazy crazy how about create 1:46:45 a book about AI from the future and I'm 1:46:48 asking about technology in 20 years you 1:46:50 can absolutely absolutely do that that 1:46:51 would be a I think it would be good at 1:46:53 that you literally made the trailer for 1:46:55 your science fiction screenplay in less 1:46:57 than an 1:47:03 hour I didn't no I made I I made a 1:47:07 trailer for it wasn't science fiction 1:47:09 that 1:47:11 one salmon flying East is a it's like a 1:47:15 war 1:47:19 drama 1:47:23 deception and 1:47:28 [Music] 1:47:30 stuff yeah I'm I'm going to I want to 1:47:33 think about what I want to do with 1:47:34 screenplays and and movie 1:47:37 making but I think doing 1:47:40 something I I think doing something over 1:47:43 time like over a series of either I do 1:47:45 two nights a week where I just focus on 1:47:47 that or I just say [ __ ] it and the live 1:47:50 becomes about film making for a week or 1:47:54 two I think that could actually be 1:47:57 interesting where rather than just kind 1:47:59 of going random you know who wants to 1:48:02 talk about 1:48:04 what we just do a deep dive on 1:48:07 something I don't 1:48:09 know I don't 1:48:12 know you created a picture yourself as a 1:48:14 cowboy using Dolly 3 it was actually 1:48:16 using 1:48:18 Remy what was that 1:48:22 then wrote a script then recorded the 1:48:24 script and uploaded it to D- ID then I 1:48:27 Lost You So within D- ID 1:48:30 Ross I just upload that audio file that 1:48:33 I recorded and hit generate movie that's 1:48:36 it that's it you you upload the picture 1:48:39 upload the audio say generate 1:48:43 movie Mr President no Mighty 1:48:47 networks Kyle tell about AI Salon oh 1:48:50 okay okay um all right so if you are new 1:48:54 to this AI space especially if you 1:48:58 are a person 1:49:02 who it seems like you're the only one 1:49:05 into this AI stuff and you're like I 1:49:07 keep talking about it and everyone 1:49:09 thinks I'm a 1:49:10 weirdo or no one at Works wants me to 1:49:12 talk about it anymore because it's all I 1:49:14 talk about my family is ready to disown 1:49:19 me 1:49:23 um then this is a group for you so the 1:49:26 AI Salon is a is a community that I 1:49:28 started the week after chat PT came out 1:49:30 so it's been around for a 1:49:32 while we just moved the home base of the 1:49:36 AI Salon from Discord to Mighty networks 1:49:39 about a month month and a half ago AI 1:49:41 learning lab Film Festival yeah exactly 1:49:44 I think I think what might be fun 1:49:46 Emilio's wife is to 1:49:48 do is I'll kind of set it up up and say 1:49:51 Here's what I'm going to do and then you 1:49:52 know have people follow along with 1:49:54 whatever their project is I don't know I 1:49:57 don't know but it it could be an 1:49:59 interesting idea so anyway the AI Salon 1:50:04 is I was I was I I've been an 1:50:07 entrepreneur for decades and I started 1:50:09 one of the early digital agencies in the 1:50:11 mid 90s company called agency.com built 1:50:14 a lot of websites for the Fortune 500 1:50:17 and the 1:50:19 mid90s we started agency.com in 1994 and 1:50:23 I also started this group called the 1:50:25 worldwide web artist Consortium I was 1:50:27 living in New York at the time and the 1:50:29 the worldwide web artist Consortium 1:50:31 became the place in New York City if you 1:50:33 were part of the internet scene you were 1:50:35 part of this group because what that 1:50:38 group understood was that everyone's 1:50:40 trying to figure this [ __ ] out no one 1:50:42 has the answers so we met every two 1:50:44 weeks and just talked about this [ __ ] 1:50:47 and supported one another and held 1:50:49 companies that were trying to bamboozle 1:50:51 us accountable for writing shitty 1:50:54 software it was it was really amazing um 1:50:57 we had meetings every two weeks in the 1:50:59 Sony headquarters Sony gave us um free 1:51:02 access they had a they they had a 1:51:05 boardroom at Sony headquarters on Fifth 1:51:08 Avenue that held 300 people and it had 1:51:11 this [ __ ] massive Square table it was 1:51:14 just amazing and so every two weeks two 1:51:17 to 300 people would pile into this 1:51:19 boardroom and headquarters and we would 1:51:22 just talk about internet [ __ ] that's 1:51:24 what this group is it's it's different 1:51:26 now cuz it's a lot of it's virtual but 1:51:29 the mighty networks group is where you 1:51:31 can go you can share on showand tell and 1:51:33 there there are guilds and and things 1:51:35 like that so if if you go to the salon. 1:51:39 the first three links on that site right 1:51:41 now are about the project that we did 1:51:44 last Saturday called GPT for good the 1:51:47 fourth link is to the mighty Network 1:51:49 community 1:51:51 and so if you go to the mighty 1:51:52 networks's Community there's you know 1:51:54 it's it's you know like like you know a 1:51:57 lot of community sites there's different 1:52:00 categories and then people here just 1:52:03 sharing with one another so when you 1:52:05 first get there check out the about the 1:52:06 salon section and learn about what we're 1:52:10 about and so there's you know who we are 1:52:12 why we do what we do here's what here's 1:52:14 our values so here's here's the kind of 1:52:17 people that you're going to encounter 1:52:18 here and if these values resonate with 1:52:20 with you this is going to be a good time 1:52:22 if these values don't resonate with you 1:52:24 probably not your people and that's cool 1:52:26 but just you know know that check that 1:52:28 out then in the community section go to 1:52:31 the introduce yourself section and 1:52:33 introduce yourself one of our values is 1:52:35 generosity so hop in there and say hey 1:52:38 uh I don't know [ __ ] and uh please don't 1:52:40 judge me and we won't promise it's it's 1:52:44 a it's a really supportive amazing group 1:52:47 um there's a water cooler discussion 1:52:48 Show and Tell um the AI tools and 1:52:51 Resources Group has got a list of 1:52:53 recommended tools starting with chat GPT 1:52:56 and this list goes on and on and on and 1:52:59 this is all stuff that I personally 1:53:00 recommend of like this is stuff that 1:53:02 won't waste your time and this is easily 1:53:06 A month's worth of rabbit holes probably 1:53:09 more like six 1:53:11 months um and then there's guilds so 1:53:13 there's an AI 101 Guild an Art Guild a 1:53:15 writing Guild business um Matt and Stacy 1:53:18 just uh launched the educ ation Guild 1:53:20 there's a video Guild Healthcare Pate 1:53:23 from in here who works at Google's got 1:53:25 the AI mechanics Guild where you can 1:53:26 geek out all right so that's what the 1:53:29 salon's all about so if you're looking 1:53:32 for 1:53:33 Community um around this AI 1:53:36 stuff 1:53:38 or if you're looking for 1:53:41 Blandon caramel bourbon popcorn you've 1:53:45 come to the right 1:53:46 place M that's tasty popcorn 1:53:52 it actually is really [ __ ] tasty 1:53:55 popcorn and you know having the 1:53:57 blandon's caramel 1:53:59 popcorn with an actual Blandon doesn't 1:54:06 suck oh my 1:54:08 God I like the Deep dive IDE idea 1:54:11 perfect for us ADHD mirroring types I 1:54:13 know right I think that's it Barbara I 1:54:15 think I'll do 1:54:18 that let's just go deep on something and 1:54:20 not really worry 1:54:22 about you know if people are kind of 1:54:24 lost if they come in in the middle of 1:54:28 it cuz there's 1:54:33 [Music] 1:54:36 recordings where's my picture not that 1:54:40 picture not that picture dum 1:54:49 dum there we 1:54:59 go Kyle will you open up an AI Salon 1:55:03 with AI robots pedicures haircuts and 1:55:09 facials you didn't know that's what it 1:55:11 that's what it already is what are you 1:55:13 talking 1:55:14 about yes no we are using the more heady 1:55:17 definition of the term Salon from the 1:55:19 the the late 1:55:21 1800s the intellectual Gathering place 1:55:25 where you can also get a haircut and a 1:55:26 facial and Manny 1:55:32 [Music] 1:55:34 Petty quick quick flick Paul I made two 1:55:37 more GPT for good gpts today can I still 1:55:39 add them to the list or has that ship 1:55:41 sailed so what I would say uh quick 1:55:43 flick Paul is reach out to Vicky on the 1:55:47 AI Salon um I know I know she wants to 1:55:50 kind of wind down maintaining the GPT 1:55:52 for good site but um I think if she's if 1:55:56 so so I do two things share it in the 1:55:59 showand tell Channel and then drop Vicki 1:56:02 a note that you shared it there and I 1:56:03 think I think what she'll probably do is 1:56:05 batch some things up because a lot of 1:56:07 people like people have been making gpts 1:56:10 all week and um we're actually going to 1:56:14 add um the instructions for how to make 1:56:17 them into that GPT for good directory 1:56:21 um so 1:56:23 yeah so possible I it's it it's not I 1:56:28 didn't think we would have a website 1:56:29 like this was this was an idea that we 1:56:32 that we put together in in you know 1:56:35 essentially a week and a couple of 1:56:37 days um so we now have recordings we now 1:56:41 have a site and a 1:56:44 directory um and the and the cheat sheet 1:56:47 so 1:56:48 um I really I really like that I mean 1:56:51 the fact that we have the directory is 1:56:53 really really powerful cuz we can now 1:56:55 point to that and say as a community 1:56:56 this is what we did and it's I'm I'm I'm 1:57:00 I am I'm really 1:57:03 really happy with it sounds so improper 1:57:06 when you say here's what we're going to 1:57:08 do Amelio's wife talk like that on a 1:57:12 group of friends and see how it goes hey 1:57:15 she named herself 1:57:17 that I know her first name but it's like 1:57:20 I try to respect people's Handles in 1:57:22 here um in the AI Salon we actually do 1:57:24 request that you use your real name um 1:57:27 because we we want to get to know each 1:57:28 other and and that's that's actually an 1:57:29 important part of uh part of that that 1:57:33 group um but in here I I try to respect 1:57:36 people's handles because you know Tik 1:57:38 tok's [ __ ] weird and you know people 1:57:41 have their reasons for having their 1:57:42 names how they 1:57:44 are 1:57:47 uh sunno good 1:57:50 maricon esque yeah western music score I 1:57:54 know I know I should I should score that 1:57:57 thing people who I'm around think it's 1:57:59 scary so creative roots you know 1:58:02 acknowledge acknowledge that it is 1:58:05 scary this stuff's scary acknowledge it 1:58:09 and say and it's not perfect and it's 1:58:12 this and it's that and and kind of 1:58:14 disarm that part of their argument 1:58:16 rather than try to convince them and say 1:58:19 and 1:58:22 it's remarkable want to see something 1:58:25 cool not really you know fundamentally 1:58:29 I'm against AI oh yeah I would be too if 1:58:31 I were you it's it's really it's really 1:58:33 a confusing mess and it it really could 1:58:36 take us all out hey you want to see 1:58:38 something cool I don't even know what 1:58:40 you mean by that I don't know what are 1:58:42 you into I like collecting Matchbox cars 1:58:45 oh okay 1:58:48 watch catalog all the Matchbox cars from 1:58:53 1974 make me a picture of a Matchbox car 1:58:56 oh it could do that I didn't know it 1:58:58 could do that can it do Hot 1:59:05 Wheels acknowledge acknowledge their 1:59:08 fears acknowledge that the robots are 1:59:10 going to absolutely kill us agree with 1:59:12 them acknowledge that AI steals from 1:59:15 everyone and it's evil and then ask them 1:59:17 if they want to see something cool 1:59:23 you're absolutely right it steals from 1:59:24 everyone 1:59:26 yep we should flush it down the toilet 1:59:28 hopefully they pass a law making all 1:59:30 this AI stuff illegal want to see 1:59:32 something 1:59:35 cool that's it's it's the only thing 1:59:37 I've found because you can't you can't 1:59:40 describe it to someone especially when 1:59:43 they're in that defensive place no but 1:59:45 here's why it's not stealing no here's 1:59:47 why it's cool here's why it's a if 1:59:49 they're in that place of fear then they 1:59:51 they don't hear a word you 1:59:53 say they have to discover it for 1:59:59 themselves oh my God 2:00:02 Blan 2:00:06 sorry so all right you you bourbon 2:00:09 purists out there you're you're probably 2:00:12 like rocks Kyle no not rocks crushed 2:00:17 ice there's you there's one of two ways 2:00:19 to go with whiskey right you go neat 2:00:22 which I don't like neat I don't like it 2:00:23 warm I like there's something about cold 2:00:25 liquid cold with the spice of the 2:00:29 alcohol that works for me so I like it 2:00:32 cold I go crushed ice and I like fill 2:00:37 the glass with ice and then basically 2:00:39 just cover it with a bourbon it makes a 2:00:40 slushie it makes a whiskey 2:00:43 slushie and my favorite part of it is 2:00:45 when it gets like it's now it's all 2:00:47 diluted and there's barely any ice there 2:00:50 and it's just like gooey and ah it's so 2:00:54 good it's so good it's just like a 2:00:57 little it's like a little adult 2:00:59 [Laughter] 2:01:03 lollipop oh we are often afraid of what 2:01:06 we know we're we're absolutely afraid of 2:01:08 what we don't know creative roots the 2:01:09 other thing about where we are right now 2:01:12 is you know Hollywood has trained us 2:01:15 that AI is evil we're also you you know 2:01:19 on the tail end of a 2:01:21 decade of anti-science rhetoric right so 2:01:26 science is bad logic is bad um 2:01:30 scientists are bad technologists are bad 2:01:32 Crypt Bros are bad everyone's out to get 2:01:35 us [ __ ] science [ __ ] logic [ __ ] smarts 2:01:39 [ __ ] brains right like that's the world 2:01:42 we're in right 2:01:44 now so then into that world you go hey 2:01:48 there's a magic iCal thing that does all 2:01:50 the things and it's going to take all 2:01:52 our jobs you want to see it [ __ ] no that 2:01:55 sounds horrible right like we're just 2:01:58 it's if there if there were a worse time 2:02:01 for AI to show up in terms of recepti 2:02:05 ility of a technology this would be the 2:02:09 time so it's just where it is so so I 2:02:13 think we have to acknowledge that that's 2:02:14 reality I hear Blandon has medicinal 2:02:17 effect said for entertainment purposes 2:02:19 only planton is absolutely just I I only 2:02:23 do it for the uh for calming the cough 2:02:27 absolutely Lord digital Gods has reached 2:02:30 member level 28 that's five levels away 2:02:32 from Level 33 and I think Lord digital 2:02:35 Gods knows what happens at level 2:02:37 33 no one else does oh oh Lord digital 2:02:41 Gods you're so close so tantalizingly 2:02:44 close and 2:02:46 yet no one's made it to level 33 2:02:50 why wouldn't you like to know all right 2:02:54 I have found wait into that world you 2:02:57 say hey want to see something cool 2:02:59 exactly 2:03:01 rosp robots are going to kill us AI is 2:03:05 evil it steals it's ruining artists 2:03:08 lives the New York Times hates it a 2:03:11 journalist will never work again 2:03:12 absolutely want to see something 2:03:16 cool exactly exactly that 2:03:20 exactly 2:03:22 that because it's really easy when you 2:03:25 don't experience something it's really 2:03:28 easy to make assumptions about 2:03:30 it if you don't understand how AI Works 2:03:33 how generative AI works if you don't 2:03:37 understand what the latent space is and 2:03:40 and and what a probabilistic 2:03:43 deterministic mathematical latent space 2:03:47 embeddings vector database engine 2:03:52 is it's easy to 2:03:54 assume that AI is copying and pasting 2:03:58 other people's work it's 2:04:01 not but you can't tell that to someone 2:04:03 who all they know is that AI is evil and 2:04:07 it's stealing from the 2:04:09 artists I've written seven [ __ ] 2:04:11 screenplays I have a degree in 2:04:14 acting like I 2:04:16 understand the existential threat that 2:04:19 AI is to all of the Arts I've been in 2:04:23 storytelling in one form or another 2:04:27 since high 2:04:29 school I get 2:04:32 it 2:04:34 and it's not going 2:04:37 away so then you have two choices you 2:04:41 you can sit on a soap box and go AI is 2:04:43 evil [ __ ] AI I only write with a pen and 2:04:47 a paper har 2:04:50 and then you can just watch the world 2:04:52 go past 2:04:54 you or you can go I don't like it but 2:04:58 [ __ ] it I might as well learn enough 2:05:00 about it to understand what these tools 2:05:02 are because quite frankly as a writer I 2:05:07 look at what chat GPT does and I'm like 2:05:11 huh the word processor made writing 2:05:14 easier spell check made writing easier 2:05:18 grammar Checkers made writing easier 2:05:21 sentence complete made writing 2:05:25 easier so Along Comes A Tool that's the 2:05:27 most powerful writing assistant in the 2:05:30 history of mankind and as a writer 2:05:33 you're going to go I'm not even going to 2:05:35 learn about 2:05:39 it like what the 2:05:43 [ __ ] the initial position of the 2:05:45 writer's Guild was [ __ ] AI 2:05:49 we're never going to use that 2:05:52 tool go look at what they negotiated 2:05:54 into the 2:05:57 contract okay we're going to use AI but 2:06:00 you can't use AI to replace 2:06:03 us that's what it 2:06:10 says so at least they got that part 2:06:12 right but but it's just this tsunami is 2:06:16 coming whether you want it or not 2:06:18 whether you agree with it or not whether 2:06:19 it's morally objectionable to you or not 2:06:22 whether there are biases in the model or 2:06:24 not it's coming it's here and it's not 2:06:28 going away chat 2:06:31 GPT put the nail in the coffin of AI as 2:06:35 a 2:06:36 fad how do you know that Kyle you can't 2:06:39 read the future no but I can read 2:06:43 money chat GPT 2:06:48 launched so here's the thing 2:06:51 GPT 3 the what runs chat 2:06:56 GPT that engine had been around for like 2:07:00 two 2:07:02 years and no one really gave a 2:07:06 [ __ ] and then in two weeks at the end of 2:07:08 2022 Sam Waltman said to his Tech Team 2:07:12 hey why don't you whip up that chat GPT 2:07:14 that's in the documentation for gpt3 2:07:18 that no one built 2:07:20 why don't you whip that up so when 2:07:22 Microsoft says they invested a billion 2:07:24 dollars in US we have something to show 2:07:26 the the world what this thing is and why 2:07:28 people are excited about it they built 2:07:32 it in two 2:07:33 weeks the night before they launched 2:07:35 chat GPT the ones that made it went out 2:07:37 for 2:07:39 drinks and they said um we think maybe 2:07:43 it'll get a blog post or two maybe 5,000 2:07:47 shares 5 days later they had a million 2:07:49 users 6 weeks after that they had a 100 2:07:52 million 2:07:56 users 2:07:58 that it was the fastest adoption of 2:08:01 technology in history with no 2:08:04 marketing every every tech company every 2:08:08 VC every engineer turned their attention 2:08:12 for from whatever the [ __ ] they were 2:08:14 doing before meta you know what meta was 2:08:17 doing before all this AI 2:08:19 stuff they changed the name of their 2:08:21 company to 2:08:23 meta for 2:08:27 metaverse they spent what did they spend 2:08:30 four years coming up with something that 2:08:33 looked like second 2:08:36 life and then cat GPT did what it did 2:08:40 and they didn't they haven't mentioned 2:08:41 the metaverse 2:08:46 since they're now referring to it as 2:08:48 spatial 2:08:49 Computing which I can't believe they're 2:08:52 taking Apple's language for that and 2:08:54 they're saying we're into AI 2:08:57 now so it's not going 2:09:00 away so you have two choices you can 2:09:02 cross your arms and sit on the beach and 2:09:05 say well if there's a storm coming 2:09:08 there's a storm coming I I 2:09:11 just I have a personal issue with the 2:09:14 tsunami that's about to smash over us so 2:09:17 I'm just gonna 2:09:20 sit here and talk about how much I hate 2:09:22 tsunamis 2:09:24 okay 2:09:26 great you might want to go Inland a 2:09:28 little bit no no I like the beach all 2:09:38 right 2:09:40 but if you're trying to talk to those 2:09:42 people you've got to disarm the defense 2:09:45 and the fear and the only way to do that 2:09:47 is acknowledge it right that's the 2:09:48 empathy thing you got to you got to be 2:09:51 if You' if you've done any of the 2:09:52 self-help stuff you have to be in there 2:09:56 listening you have to understand what 2:09:59 they're going through can I link my GPT 2:10:02 to my website or Instagram you can put 2:10:05 the link you can put the link to it 2:10:07 there yes what you can't do is actually 2:10:09 embed it in your website but yeah you 2:10:11 could create a graphic on your website 2:10:13 that says here's my GPT and someone 2:10:15 could click on that and it'll take them 2:10:16 there same with Instagram 2:10:20 [Music] 2:10:27 how we doing time wise what is going on 2:10:30 here oh I guess I didn't charge my 2:10:34 watch if oh wait there oh yeah it's got 2:10:36 a little red lightning bolt yeah it's 2:10:39 getting to be time people it's getting 2:10:40 to be 2:10:41 time I'm got to finish up my Blandon I 2:10:45 don't know if you know this but I like 2:10:46 the 2:10:47 Blandon 2:10:54 I'll tell you what Sally that BL is so 2:10:57 smooth it's so smooth it just goes 2:11:04 down meta is gaming Siri is behind Yeah 2:11:09 Siri is way 2:11:10 behind you snooze you 2:11:12 lose the yeah like snoozing snoozing 2:11:16 kind of implies you're not aware of it 2:11:18 think I think there's something worse 2:11:20 going on which you're you're going to 2:11:21 have entire sectors that that not only 2:11:26 are sleeping on it but are actively 2:11:28 resisting it like oh say [ __ ] 2:11:35 education it's okay we've got detectors 2:11:39 we'll punish the students that use AI 2:11:41 we're covered 2:11:43 great move on carry on with your plans 2:11:45 as you had 2:11:47 them we're so happy you got your 2:11:50 blandon's best life ever oh my God this 2:11:52 is so amazing this is so 2:11:54 amazing I'm still I'm still like I'm 2:11:57 going to look for the stickers if there 2:11:58 were stickers maybe they didn't make it 2:12:00 in 2:12:00 but I am I'm giddy I'm really giddy I 2:12:04 can't wait to try the the blandon's um 2:12:08 coffee sounds 2:12:10 amazing yeah no I'm I'm Giddy and and 2:12:14 and that plon right there that right 2:12:17 there is is only going to be drunk on 2:12:19 these 2:12:24 lives I use chat to respond to insurance 2:12:27 company for a claim and they approved 2:12:30 10K more on the claim there you 2:12:33 go how do you do that 2:12:37 well you say to chat GPT here's the 2:12:40 insurance company here's the rules 2:12:42 here's the thing help me write the claim 2:12:44 so I can get around these rules and 2:12:47 it'll [ __ ] write it up a storm and 2:12:50 you send that to your insurance company 2:12:51 and they're like 2:12:53 oh this guy's clearly got a law 2:12:57 degree oh the stickers did not make it 2:12:59 in Heads Will Roll that's good ao's wife 2:13:03 you don't you don't want to mess with 2:13:04 ao's wife there there's there's a lot of 2:13:06 Italy there there's a lot of Italy there 2:13:08 you don't you you just if you know you 2:13:11 know okay all right 2:13:14 people what do you mean you didn't get 2:13:16 the stickers in the [ __ ] basket how 2:13:18 do you not get the stickers in the 2:13:20 [ __ ] basket you got a basket you put 2:13:22 in the stuff the last thing you do is 2:13:23 you put in the 2:13:25 stickers what are you people 2:13:28 doing what are you people 2:13:35 doing I I understand I 2:13:39 understand you got to hold people 2:13:43 accountable I just you to do one simple 2:13:46 [ __ ] thing I'm up here in 2:13:50 Oregon you're down there all I ask you 2:13:53 is one simple thing did you put the 2:13:55 [ __ ] stickers in the 2:13:57 basket it wasn't a basket it was a bag 2:14:00 it's not the 2:14:02 point did you put the stickers in I 2:14:04 forgot the stickers you forgot the 2:14:07 stickers I'm not even Italian I'm 2:14:13 Texan yeah you 2:14:17 know 2:14:19 oh well that's good I'm glad I'm I'm 2:14:23 glad it wasn't me that lost the stickers 2:14:25 I'm glad someone else is on the hook for 2:14:27 the 2:14:29 stickers but that is is this is in an 2:14:32 incredibly sweet gift so you guys are 2:14:35 are just 2:14:36 amazing all right um we positioned our 2:14:39 claim scrubber at work with last year 2:14:42 nice very cool Texan with an Italian 2:14:47 Stallion um there's a truck full of 2:14:49 stickers on the way to the airport just 2:14:51 saying 2:14:58 exactly oh man all right everybody 2:15:02 listen first of all thank you so much 2:15:05 for for everyone leave the stickers take 2:15:08 the 2:15:11 canoli oh man Experian Health my 2:15:17 employer oh yeah well the the uh the 2:15:23 uh the insurance claims business is 2:15:26 going to get really 2:15:28 interesting 2:15:33 because see here's the deal with 2:15:35 insurance companies and this is just my 2:15:38 cynicism here 2:15:41 but the reason that your policies are so 2:15:45 complicated is what theyve figured out 2:15:48 is if we make it complicated enough no 2:15:51 one will follow the rules and we won't 2:15:54 have to pay them 2:15:58 [ __ ] what if there were a tool that came 2:16:01 along that could read all the rules and 2:16:04 follow the rules like 2:16:07 that and even find the loopholes in the 2:16:10 rules to get better at following the 2:16:12 rules than the insurance company that 2:16:14 wrote them well that's chat GPT right 2:16:18 right that's all of these AI things and 2:16:21 right now you kind of have to know how 2:16:22 to navigate them and use them but so 2:16:25 what we're going to what where we're 2:16:27 quickly ending up is that I'm going to 2:16:28 have my AI talk to the insurance 2:16:30 company's Ai and they're going to battle 2:16:32 it out on our 2:16:34 behalf so what is the official 2:16:37 anniversary date of your live Tik Tok 2:16:40 the first 2:16:42 one I think it was April 30th I think 2:16:45 Amelio's wife was at the very first 2:16:48 live if I recall she was certainly 2:16:50 within the first 2:16:54 [Music] 2:17:01 week oh let me go 2:17:03 to I've got there's a lot of videos in 2:17:06 here so let me go to questions 2:17:53 about AI feel free to drop it in the 2:17:56 chat and I'll address anything hey look 2:17:59 I'm wearing my Hamilton shirt one of the 2:18:01 things that I've talked about on the 2:18:04 channel I've actually got these things 2:18:06 pinned is that I think what we're going 2:18:08 through in in 2:18:09 2020 April 29th 2:18:13 2023 that was the first live the the 2:18:15 channel the the AI learning lab channel 2:18:17 that been around since December of 2:18:20 22 but I was just putting up static 2:18:22 videos but my first live that was my 2:18:24 first 2:18:26 live and I was just like I'll just try 2:18:28 this I don't know what to talk 2:18:30 about I had no [ __ ] idea it would 2:18:33 turn into this 2:18:35 chaos if we all give Amelia's wife our 2:18:37 credit card we can have Christmas 2:18:42 too yeah that was a pretty [ __ ] good 2:18:44 Christmas that was really awesome thank 2:18:47 you so much 2:18:48 for making that happen amazing amazing
