33. 6:23different version of chat GPT than other people do and I don't there's no at all clear way to deal with
34. 6:38that Builder profile yeah it says name is populated from your billing Pro billing details so the billing details are
35. 6:56where my plan right manage my
36. 7:11subscription yeah maybe maybe go to manage your subscription but I would think if you change your name and manage
37. 7:17my subscription that might [ __ ] up your credit card payment I don't know I don't know the I don't know the exact
38. 7:25issue and I'm not having the issue so I haven't had to solve it so I may be useless here all right well we'll come back to

43. 8:25learning lab bubble where just cuz I'm an old fart and a lot of the regulars are old farts we think it's just old farts
44. 8:32but I there's a lot of young people not paying attention to this AI stuff and it's bizarre to me it's bizarre because
45. 8:39you'd think they would be the ones jumping on it figuring out how to [ __ ] up the establishment and yet you know
46. 8:46the Gen xers you know are at least players in the establishment they're the ones going we got to deal with this [ __ ]
47. 8:53news trending today about New York Times suing opening on Microsoft over copyright yeah Christopher Ramsey I call
48. 8:59called that one about a month ago because um Google had cut $100 million with $100 million deal with the New York
49. 9:08Times about a month a that's probably more six weeks ago now and open AI was apparently in negotiations with the New York Times and
50. 9:19those talks apparently went South so Google cuts a $100 million deal with the New York Times New York Times sues open Ai and mic moft
51. 9:31um it's a big deal um it's going to be really interesting to see how the stuff plays out in court like I said I just for for I don't think
52. 9:43it affects any of us short term um and I can't imagine a court forcing open AI to essentially shut down their
53. 9:57entire company to to retrain you know you know minus the New York Times which they wouldn't do I I just so I don't know I mean it's
54. 10:07this this is this is Big Boy politics and big boy legal battles and big boy deals being cut so I don't know and big girl that was
55. 10:22sexist this is this is uh big boy and girl pant time but yeah it's going to be really interesting to see yeah they sued them
56. 10:32for data scraping yeah I know I know I again I go back to I go back to if if if you if you understand how embeddings work and how
57. 10:45large language models work they're not none of the New York Times articles exist as they were they are just words in semantic mathematical
58. 10:56space right so so they blown apart part the other thing is you've got libraries where people go in and they read
59. 11:03anything that's in a library and they amass that in their brain and then they go put those ideas together and do other
60. 11:07[ __ ] it's it's in the same neighborhood as that so there there is definitely something here for the greater societal
61. 11:14good um that I think open AI is going to have an argument on um but it's I it's fascinating when you're when you're dealing with
62. 11:23companies this big with with properties with this much power you know Amelio's Kyle we all understand big
63. 11:35boy good old boy not offended well thank you thank you listen I I try my absolute best to you know not fall into the traps
64. 11:44of how I've been raised for 58 years but sometimes sometimes it's it's just uh you just sort of go into default mode
65. 11:52especially when I'm sick where like I don't I don't have brain fog I feel like I'm okay from a cognitive point of view
66. 11:59but it it ain't as quick I'll tell you that it's a little little slower a little slower on the uptake so but thank

71. 12:55potential publishing data source that could be trouble for all of history I don't know at what point at what point in
72. 13:11history do you go back do do you do what Adobe did and go back to like 1962 and the only images in there were public
73. 13:18domain images from like the 60s and earlier so so when when you tried to have it make a 70s muscle car it didn't
74. 13:25know what that was I don't know it's this is I again this is really this is really unique territory because I don't know I don't know we'll
75. 13:38see we'll see how it goes like it could decimate the industry if if it if they just make a you know an
76. 13:49objectively sweeping judgment but we'll see we'll see like we're we're way far from that they filed the lawsuit that's
77. 13:56a lot different than we've settled and cut a deal because Google cut a deal with the New York Times they spent hundred billion
78. 14:04dollar I also heard that um it looks like open AI is on track to to close a new financing deal valuing
79. 14:13the company at 100 billion dollar put it putting it as the second largest startup uh behind SpaceX so in terms of market
80. 14:23cap New York Times will get a boatload of money they will settle and set the precedent yep exactly yeah this is this
81. 14:29is going to get down to you you've got to pay us some sort of royalties if you trained it and I guarantee you I
82. 14:35guarantee you there there will be a cut off below which Publishers of a certain size won't be part of the settlement
83. 14:43it'll be all the big players all the big players will be in all the medium and smaller players will be out and it'll
84. 14:50just be tough [ __ ] you're in the training set get over it um but we'll see we'll see fascinating times man

88. 15:40on whatever data sets open AI could get their greedy little paw on over the 3 to five years that they what once open AI realized that the
89. 15:55more data you threw at this thing the better that it got I just shared your live and a buddy went to high school and
90. 16:01I haven't talked to him for years oh that's awesome that's awesome um he's in a band and he's doing his video he's like famous and stuff oh
91. 16:11that's awesome well if he's here welcome um so they they they they went and they got as many data sets as they
92. 16:19could they cut as many deals as they could to get data sets one of the nasty rumors I heard when the when Sam Alman
93. 16:25got fired was that one of the data sets they got with some dark web you know Chinese super proprietary super hacker
94. 16:36stuff um so I don't like I have no idea but there's a reason that no one's been able to catch up to open Ai and it's
95. 16:46because Sam Alman like relentlessly what Sam Alman realized is the more and better data we have in the training set
96. 16:55the more and the better this thing's going to be and so it sounds like he just went nuts and got as many as as much data as possible
97. 17:05like like much more um relentlessly than than other competitors now Google's got all the data so Google
98. 17:16Google should if that if that argument holds true then Google should be kicking their ass and they're not right now
99. 17:22until we see Gemini Ultra we won't know um so so it's been trained on a lot of the output of of human activity and yeah
100. 17:33like if if there's libraries If part of the data set is libraries and part of the content of libraries is copywritten
101. 17:45material like I don't I don't know like I this is so far beyond you know my capacity to understand th this is big
102. 17:53big stuff data is King data is absolutely king or queen uh Becky R from for better and worse Sam Alman wait what was that Pate
103. 18:05Sam Alman did not invent the idea of more more data is better no I know he didn't he just he just embraced it he
104. 18:13just he just realized if that's the game let's go get data and let's go get enough money to have enough gpus to
105. 18:20process all that data that's what Sam Alman did there's a difference between inventing the thing that makes it
106. 18:27possible and realizing oh if that's what's possible then how we win is we get the the most data we we go we go get
107. 18:35the most data but we'll see we'll see man this is you know if it's New York Times soon it's going to be big get all
108. 18:42the data is the main subplot in hbos Westworld the robots are collecting data oh that's true I forgot about that
109. 18:49they're collecting data on the people yeah I mean Google has all the data on the people let's be clear data's
110. 18:56Google's got all that is open AI train on the dark web oh I don't know that that was one of the rumors going around
111. 19:03um that there was some Chinese hacker group that um had a bunch of data I forget what it's called red read
112. 19:11something dragon or something like that and one of the rumors that Sam Alman got fired because that got found out and but
113. 19:21that never it never passed there there were so many there were so many bizarre rumors uh that you know who knows who knows I have no

118. 20:1124hour GPT for good challenge where I've teamed up with Ann Murphy of uh empowered fundraiser and she and I are going to
119. 20:20alternate teaching people how to make gpts for their favorite nonprofit whether you work for it or just a Cause
120. 20:28that you want to do something for um and so every 3 hours it's going to be I'm going to be doing it here on my Tik Tok
121. 20:36she's going to be doing it on her Zoom Channel um and you can get all that info on the AI salon so so that's coming up
122. 20:43so uh so I'll talk all about that so if you've got questions about AI pop them in the comments below I'll do what I can

124. 20:57they're doing yeah I agree with that like this is deal deals this this is all leverage deals are going to get cut

132. 22:11something right for yourself and your family um we're going to teach you how to make a really specific GPT that that
133. 22:18teaches someone about that nonprofit and we'll be kind of a toe in the water for why I think these things are really big deals the the
134. 22:28gpts and and just the you know it's worth people understanding what this technology makes possible and so so
135. 22:36that's happening on the 30th so I was even thinking maybe tonight I'll I'll make one but but we'll see see how I feel here so all
136. 22:46right and then let's see when you go over to the AI Salon let's see it jumps you into AI streams and meetings it jumps you

140. 23:31that can you demo chat GPT custom instructions I can definitely do that I'll even do it for chat GPT 3.5 um
141. 23:48okay let's see Mr it I tried to create a GPT the only thing I got was steps that I need to to do so Mr it the question then is
142. 24:01were you doing it in chat GPT 3.5 or chat GPT 4 cuz if you're doting in 3.5 you can't make a GPT there if you don't have chat GPT 4 you
143. 24:13can make a bot on PO which are almost identical but in terms of who are going to be which of those Bots are going to be the longer lasting
144. 24:24ecosystems my suspicion is open AI ecosystem is be the longer living but it doesn't mean you shouldn't build things
145. 24:31on PO to just understand how they work uh uh uh you got four all right well I'll show you how to let let me do
146. 24:40so here's what we'll do Mr it um I'll show how to do custom instructions right now and then I'm paying 20 bucks okay
147. 24:51so so wait so the other question Mr it is are you on the mobile app or on desktop because if you're on the mobile
148. 24:58app you can't make gpts on the mobile app you can only view them or you know interact with
149. 25:17them desktop all right so I I'll I'll spin one up and then you can follow along and see if if if I'm doing
150. 25:24something different or if it if it gets you there okay so what are we doing custom instructions so I'm on chat GPT 3.5 and I can do
151. 25:35something like this is this is fever brain so so I'm not going to be as clever as I normally am not that I'm clever normally
152. 25:46but you know it's just going to be slower for me to think up something stupid uh normally my ability to think
153. 25:53up stupid [ __ ] is is world class um hang on okay I'll I'll just do something
154. 26:09dumb um I'd like to understand how photosynthesis works I'm just going to leave it at that
155. 26:23all right and so chat GPT 3 5 photosynthesis is a crucial biological process that occurs in Plants algae and some bacteria
156. 26:34converts sunlight into chemical energy stored D and then it gives us sunlight absorption light reactions carbon
157. 26:41fixation sugar formation oxygen release and then in summary they converted into chemical energy in the form of ATP and Ed nadph
158. 26:53the dark light independent reactions blah blah blah blah blah Okay so so that explains photosynthesis in a you
159. 27:01know decent way right a decent and predictable way what you can do with custom instructions is you can
160. 27:10change who the bot is so the way they've programmed these GPT Bots is they're supposed to be helpful assistance on
161. 27:19your behalf right so you ask at something and it wants to be helpful um with custom instructions you can change
162. 27:25that you can alter how it behaves so how you get to these and you can do this in either chat GPT 3.5 or
163. 27:334 but under your settings there's this thing called custom instructions so you go there and so I've written a stupid thing
164. 27:44here but it's it's a good it's a good example of um how it changes the personality of the thing okay so I'm
165. 27:51going to turn it on and I'll I'll read what I have in here you are a lover of words let's see you love fancy words you insist on
166. 28:06using words wait hang on let me just get this syntax right you insist on using words in every response that even you
167. 28:14don't understand it is your great pleasure in life to watch people be confused by what you say knowing that if
168. 28:22they parse your Genius statements they will indeed find that they are accurate okay so I've basically described a pompus ass
169. 28:30right so so we're telling chat GPT to act like a pompus ass and then the next question in custom instructions is how
170. 28:37would you like chat GPT to respond so what I've got here is whenever someone asks you a question follow these rules always start with an
171. 28:45obscure literary reference that their question reminds you of and find a way to work a quote from that work into your
172. 28:52answer then then when you answer the question make sure that you can use the most complicated word possible also
173. 29:00include tangents where you tell the story of a word that you just introduced in answering their question it should
174. 29:07take them quite a while to understand if you're ever going to answer their question all right so so that's what we
175. 29:14just turned uh chat GPT into I got to save my changes um and so now I'm going to I'm going to do a new thing and then uh I would like
176. 29:26to understand and photo synthesis so same prompt a the fast I like the pompus ass version of
177. 29:41chat GPT I got to say ah the fascinating process of photosynthesis a concept that brings to mind the words of Lewis Carol
178. 29:48and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as allance once remarked curiouser and curiouser indeed the intricate dance of
179. 29:56chlorophyll in Sun sunlight in the leaves of plants with nothing short of Botanical Wonderland now let me delve into the
180. 30:04Labyrinth labyrinthine lexicon of photosynthesis at its core photosynthesis right and so it still explains the same [ __ ] but it does it in
181. 30:13this really weird way um so so you can where might you use this well maybe you do some custom instructions where
182. 30:27you you copy in some writing that you've done and you say I want you to use the writing that I've got here for the tone
183. 30:34of how you answer your questions or maybe you don't like all the the prosy kind of stuff like we can go in and we can
184. 30:43go custom instructions let me get rid of these Al together I can come up with that [ __ ] again so I'm just going to say um you
185. 30:59are an impatient professional who doesn't have time for
186. 31:16nonsense whenever someone asks you a question use the following rules um answer in a single short sentence followed
187. 31:33by five bullet points of s to 10 words [Music]
188. 31:49each um you should be accurate there should be no humor or
189. 32:09Nuance okay so let's go see if we like chat GPD like this I would like dang it to understand
190. 32:26photosynthesis boom done now it only gave us four bullet points but whatever it can't count well it still doesn't do that well
191. 32:34and this is also GPT 3.5 photosynthesis is the process where plants convert light into energy occurs in the
192. 32:41chloroplasts involve sunlight water and carbon dioxide produces glucose and oxygen critical for plant growth and oxygen production
193. 32:50um what is love love is a complex emotional and psychological feeling it involves affection Right it can be romantic or
194. 33:01platonic it's influenced by cultural and personal factors so so this this can be a very powerful tool now the only thing
195. 33:09I would recommend is if you use custom instructions you should probably have sets of them you can only have one set
196. 33:17like you can't have the multiple choice ones that that would be a nice feature that they'd add hey I built a GPT about
197. 33:23love oh that's awesome lunar stick that's super cool um so anyway don't forget to turn this off because if you forget you'll go in there
198. 33:32to show someone something and it'll like cuss at you or do something weird however you told it behave [Music]

212. 36:03thing where he put in like here here are the here are the attributes of my personality and then here's how I want
213. 36:08you to react he created chat GPT so that he could actually brainstorm with himself which I thought was kind of a
214. 36:15brilliant idea so yeah that's a really cool idea uh uh uh uh is Cindy [ __ ] in here looks like it is it free is what free so
215. 36:27what I just showed you is free custom instructions are included with chat GPT 3.5 there's a lot of stuff though that
216. 36:37is not in chat gbt 3.5 so let me show you a couple of things so also at the salon I'm going to the AI tools and resources page um and

219. 37:4027 okay so if you're just getting started with chat GPT it's it's even if you're not just getting started with chat GPT it's
220. 37:53really hard to know the difference between chat GPT 3.5 and Cat GPT 4 so for example let me start over here this is cat GPT 3.5 that's cat
221. 38:08gp4 look closely 3.5 four you're like but Kyle there's no difference what are you doing you make a mraa now there's this little paper clip
222. 38:23here the 20 bucks a month get you that paper clip um but look look look at the difference so for chat GPT 3.5 oh
223. 38:39actually custom instruction should go up there too let me edit I'm going to keep editing hang on hang on please we might
224. 38:54as well make this right cuz people are coming in here to learn and if we got [ __ ] that's inaccurate you know what I'm

227. 39:37the investment all right save okay so we're going to save that okay so cat gbt 3.5 you get um you know the large language model
228. 39:48so so to be clear cat gbt 3.5 is still really flipping good it can write decent it can code decent it can um you know categorize things for
229. 40:00you things like that now it's not connected to the internet it is super fast you can do custom instructions and
230. 40:07then also if you have 3.5 they also made conversational chat GPT available to you which is if you download the mobile app of chat
231. 40:17GPT um I'm on the mobile app in the in the bottom right hand corner are these little headphones and you can pop it into conversation
232. 40:30mode hey chat GPT could you tell me about photosynthesis man sure photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other
233. 40:45organisms so it's super cool you can talk to it so that's all available in 3.5 jet GPT 4 also includes this other stuff
234. 40:57um first of all it's just better by like 10x almost 11x just it's its capacity to know stuff and write better and code better it's
235. 41:10just like way better it's it it's just better um so and and it's also gotten fast recently it was slow for a long
236. 41:19time chat gp4 is also connected to the internet so even though it's got um its latest information is April of 2023
237. 41:28which isn't bad if you want to do current event stuff you can't do that with chat gbt 3.5 it's also got code
238. 41:35interpreter code interpreter is is Advanced Data analysis where it actually writes and executes its own python code
239. 41:42you can upload a CSV file of data and and it will analyze it for you and create charts and graphs and it's it's
240. 41:51insane it's amazing what it does um gp4 has this thing called GPT Vision where you can upload an image and it can see
241. 41:59it and understand it it's got dolly3 image generation which is Bonker good um and then you can create and share custom

351. 1:00:33inspir inspiring is there an a AI that uses correct facts all the time all AIS hallucinate that is the feature not the bug um Andre
352. 1:00:50karpathy just had a really eloquent he's the chief scientist over at open AI or now he's heading up uh super alignment
353. 1:00:59open AI but he just talked about this um all AI hallucinate so they all might get it wrong but um use perplexity doai if
354. 1:01:10you want to get the facts right if it's about facts and and research perplexity doai is really good at it cuz it cuz it
355. 1:01:18it gives you an answer in the context of something it searched on but it gives you the citation and and the link to
356. 1:01:23that thing so you can double check all your work with all of this stuff if you need it to be accurate it's on you to
357. 1:01:30double check the work there's a pretty famous like three months ago this dumb [ __ ] lawyer had chat GPT
358. 1:01:40write a legal brief and he handed it to a [ __ ] judge without proofreading it and the judge was like uh Mr McGill cuty
359. 1:01:50or whatever the [ __ ] his name was it appears that all of your cited cases don't exist care to elaborate that's not chat gpt's
360. 1:02:02fault that's that lawyer's fault for not understanding the tool he was using can't fix stupid um again one of the
361. 1:02:20things that I the the closest thing I do to preaching is say play with this stuff play with this stuff play with this stuff why do I
362. 1:02:29say that because in playing with it you find out its boundaries and you do it in a lowrisk way so so you say oh I I always wanted
363. 1:02:38to learn about micr crocheting which might not even be a thing and then and then it'll give you some [ __ ] and you
364. 1:02:46realize oh it made up a whole bunch of facts about micro crocheting that weren't there but they're kind of fun
365. 1:02:51but you learn that and that'll seem frivolous at the time and then someone will ask you to do something and you're like oo I got to be
366. 1:02:58careful because I know that this thing can make [ __ ] up but you wouldn't have known that had you not played so play
367. 1:03:03play play not all of them hallucinate you can have ones that refuse to do things when they don't know yeah that's
368. 1:03:10that's a good point Pate uh um Eric Roland who's who's one of the salon members that you probably know Pate um
369. 1:03:18he's working on systems right now for for a big Bank um where they've got a known set of data they've they've got
370. 1:03:25like a database of question and answer sets that have been approved cuz you know banking is highly regulated so they got a set of question
371. 1:03:33and answer sets um that have been approved and and that he's got a A system that uses AI to do the general
372. 1:03:42conversation and then the first thing it does is check you know did this person ask a question that's in in the set and
373. 1:03:49if it is it gives them an approved answer and then if not it's got all sorts of spe specific rules about what
374. 1:03:55it can answer and what it can't so that that's a good point but I would just say in general the tools right now you
375. 1:04:00should assume that they that they're full of [ __ ] and then if they prove themselves otherwise great
376. 1:04:11um like Wiki in the early auts yep he is now an ex-lawyer or he should be also remember that AI is much bigger than
377. 1:04:19just llms yeah that's a good point pate pate's job Pate is in here to keep me honest and to keep me from getting too

381. 1:04:58clever prompting so if you just give it a PDF and say Here's your knowledge and then you ask it questions it'll
382. 1:05:06sometimes use that PDF and sometimes not if you say here's the PDF I only want you to use the knowledge
383. 1:05:15in this PDF to answer anything anything any questions outside of that I don't want you to answer at all like you can
384. 1:05:21you can with clever prompting run it down rabbit holes but I would still test the [ __ ] out of it and you should assume that it will
385. 1:05:33um disappoint you for now everything that you build today okay where do I
386. 1:05:48begin we're now we're now just over a year into the inflection point that chat GPT kicked off so generative AI chat GPT sort of consumer
387. 1:06:01grade powerful AI models available to regular human beings did not exist before November 30th 2022 so you could easily argue that
388. 1:06:14while we're decades into machine learning and AI development and research we're one year into whatever the [ __ ]
389. 1:06:21chat GPT is whatever the [ __ ] Gemini Ultra is going to be whatever GPT 5 is going to be we don't know what these
390. 1:06:28things are yet so everything that you're building right now with these these tools that produce remarkable
391. 1:06:41results they are just janky pieces of [ __ ] this is this something I talk about in here all the time you should assume
392. 1:06:49that the stuff you build right now because it's built on top of janky pieces of [ __ ] is also going to be a
393. 1:06:56janky piece of [ __ ] and will be obsolete 3 months from now you should just assume that and if you end up building
394. 1:07:04something that's really good and not janky and is predictable and is consistent and things like that great you you are in the
395. 1:07:12minority but these tools are going to get better and better and better and better and they're going to get better
396. 1:07:17fast it's not like they're going to get better on a slow linear incline it's like they're going to be janky Jank
397. 1:07:24janky janky they're a little less janky oh my God they're better than anything I've ever seen cat gbt was so helpful with my system
398. 1:07:32administration Administration work as I strove to migrate something from something yeah that's it's it's really
399. 1:07:40good like if there's a big knowledge base for it to know where there was a lot of data ingested in the model
400. 1:07:46building these things are remarkably good and it and systems management is one of those um as I strove to migrate
401. 1:07:53and upgrade a server yeah yeah exactly yeah those they it it's amazing at [ __ ] like that it's also good at like um it
402. 1:08:02just knows how to fix [ __ ] like I had Pi help me troubleshoot a dying battery in my car and she got it right can you
403. 1:08:11limit where AI gets its Knowledge from so you know it's accurate or will it still do its own well you could make your own large
404. 1:08:25language model the base the Frontier Model if you have $10 million $5 million you can go do that if you don't have $5 million sitting
405. 1:08:36around you can fine-tune these models on your own data you have to do you have to do some pretty sophisticated logic and error checking
406. 1:08:48to get it to stay on the rails basically the the answer is sort of yes it's sort sort of yes with good programming
407. 1:08:58um but no the the P the p in GPT is pre-trained what that means is it's a generative it's going to generate
408. 1:09:07content pre-trained Transformer the t is Transformer that's the mechanism that it's been trained on the pre-trained is
409. 1:09:15we open AI or we meta or we Google have gone out and found all this data and we've pre-trained this model
410. 1:09:24the reason it can have a conversation with you is that it's been trained on all of the internet or as much as they could get their hands
411. 1:09:33on that Frontier Model so so there's this thing called GPT 4 which is the Frontier Model down here and then you
412. 1:09:41have chat GPT which is an application that sits up here so chat GPT is the thing that says oh I'm sorry Dave I'm
413. 1:09:48afraid I can't do that right that's out of my content boundaries or um hey it's really nice to talk to you like the fact
414. 1:09:55that it's Pleasant and generally gives you what you want and won't do really nasty things that's at the application
415. 1:10:01layer the the underlying Frontier Model it would behave very very differently without this application sitting on the top of it um it would
416. 1:10:12cuss at you it would speak at you in foreign languages and in tongues and um let you do all sorts of evil nasty
417. 1:10:18things and harm other people and it doesn't care if it doesn't have some layer on top of it um but no the the
418. 1:10:26power of all of the stuff that we're using is in the fact that it knows everything that's one of the reasons
419. 1:10:33that Sam Alman said I don't think the underlying model should be open- sourced because it's too dangerous and that's that's where Elon
420. 1:10:44Musk and him have just philosophical diff differences elon's like [ __ ] it put it out there that's meta said [ __ ] it
421. 1:10:51put it out there you can go get llama right now the Llama 2 model with without um safety guard rails on it and
422. 1:10:59have it do all sorts of crazy [ __ ] you have to roll your own you have to you have to know how to play with open
423. 1:11:04source stuff but you can go do that right now that's why Sam Alman you know sort of defied the name of the company

432. 1:12:56personalized you know surveillance [ __ ] and marketing [ __ ] they like all that [ __ ] for decades what's different with generative
433. 1:13:06AI is that it puts this power in way more hands right there there's a certain self regulating
434. 1:13:20benefit to only the powerful only the powerful having access to powerful AI right the militaries and countries and
435. 1:13:31big corporations because all of those entities have vested interests in protecting their entity right so so
436. 1:13:39they're going to they're going to use AI in their interest but they're going to try to prevent others from [ __ ] with
437. 1:13:46their interest right so there's kind of this massive perverted self- policing goes on when when only a handful
438. 1:13:54relative handful of people have access to these powerful systems what generative AI does is it kind of opens Pandora's Box to say hey
439. 1:14:03we're going to democratize access to these tools and so it's less like can people do evil [ __ ] with AI of course
440. 1:14:12they can they and they've been doing it for years decades what changes now is that there's an formality to the or or
441. 1:14:25there's a there there's a democratization to access to that kind of power so you have people with very very different motives that now have
442. 1:14:33access to these tools now the good news is that not only do the black hat hackers have access to these tools so do
443. 1:14:40the white hat hackers right so that battle between people trying to do bad and and good guys trying to stop them
444. 1:14:47that's been there since computers right like that's that's it's just the game right hacker going to hack you know white
445. 1:14:56hacker going to try to prevent them and it's a whole [ __ ] society it's just that that world just got expanded to millions of people
446. 1:15:07rather than probably thousands or tens of thousands right of relatively powerful hackers because the tools are are now so much more

452. 1:16:02difference is so so here's the deal in today's world set set AI aside for a second in today's world if you want to like break into
453. 1:16:15government computer systems right you have to be like this level of hacker and if if you have to be this level of hacker like the amount of
454. 1:16:24people that are that level of hacker is like really small it's like you know there's like a hundred of them and they
455. 1:16:29all know each other right it's like it's a whole club they all know they can do it there's some little code of ethics or
456. 1:16:35not in there it doesn't [ __ ] matter but you have to be this good well AI tools are like here and now they're here
457. 1:16:43and now they're here and now they're here like there's going to be a point at which AI tools are like here good and
458. 1:16:50who has access to being that good hundreds of thousands millions of people so if you have a hundred people that are
459. 1:16:57this good and millions of people that are this good it doesn't take the just do the math someone's going to [ __ ] with
460. 1:17:07something the white hat hackers can you know find them more quickly and take them down more quickly but that's that's
461. 1:17:14a thing that makes me more nervous than the big entities like I just feel like they've got their own incentives and
462. 1:17:22disin incentives to not [ __ ] with each other can you talk about some other AI tools like what are your top five tools
463. 1:17:30other than chpt sure I can absolutely do that and I think so why don't we let me see if I can make this a little bigger so it's easier to
464. 1:17:45read okay um Okay so Chachi PT in my opinion is still the best it's it's like it's the biggest it's the best that's that's the one you
465. 1:18:00want to use um these four I would say are kind of the next four large language models that are worth you understanding the strengths
466. 1:18:16of Claude in particular is a bunch of exop AI people that these are the guys that built gpt3 they've got a it's called the company's called
467. 1:18:27anthropic they've got a really interesting safety model called the Constitutional learning model anthropic
468. 1:18:33mission is not to build a chat GPT competitor it's to create safety protocols to make these large language
469. 1:18:42models safe and keep them aligned with human imperatives basically so they build Claude as a way to test their
470. 1:18:50theories um and it's really good right they understand this [ __ ] very very deeply um Bard is now this is now Gemini
471. 1:18:59Pro sitting underneath Bard so if you want to play with Gemini Pro which is kind of their chat GPT 3.5 model it's
472. 1:19:06connected to the internet it codes really well um this is good and it's going to get way better when they
473. 1:19:12release uh Gemini Ultra although my guess is it's not just going to it's not going to be a bard.com or it will be like you know bard.
474. 1:19:23Advanced right it'll it'll likely cost you 20 bucks a month but right now this is free um perplexity AI is really good
475. 1:19:32if you want to do research it does a lot of citations um Microsoft co-pilot is is essentially Microsoft's version of chat
476. 1:19:39GPT 4 it's free it does image generation it now does song generation they cut a deal with suo AI um To Do song
477. 1:19:48generation then you have specialty large language models you've got Pi this is this is one of my favorites and it's
478. 1:19:54funny a lot of the people a lot of the Irregulars that come to this channel a lot this is one of their favorites cuz
479. 1:20:00it's designed to be conversational and it's getting a lot better pay attention to these guys they raised $1.3 billion

496. 1:22:26it's it's a really cool Community you can introduce yourself you can learn about the salon things like that um okay
497. 1:22:33image creation you got Dolly 3 this is inside chat GPT and Microsoft co-pilot you have mid Journey mid Journey V6 just
498. 1:22:42came out it's quite good they also just created a uh a web front end um so so you you still have to primarily make your images
499. 1:22:55in Discord but that's changing we're in the in in the middle of that rolling out to the web um I think that's going to be
500. 1:23:02a big deal for them apparently there's some updates to V6 version 6 coming out in the next week or two um that are
501. 1:23:10going to make it better at text better at prompt coherence basically being more accurate to what you put in the prompt
502. 1:23:17and a couple of other things and then uh also they're apparently working on video so image to video um so pay attention to
503. 1:23:24Mid Journey these guys if if you want high quality art mid journey is the top of the pack right now they're a pain in
504. 1:23:32the ass cuz you got to do it on Discord but they're improving quite quickly I I feel like their lead was slipping pretty
505. 1:23:39significantly because of Del but they they're getting their [ __ ] together and I'd pay attention to them in the next
506. 1:23:45three months um Korea is interesting Korea is really just a rapper app sitting on top of a bunch of stable
507. 1:23:52diffus Fusion Technologies from what I can tell but they're it's pretty slick and it's real time they call it thought to image so
508. 1:24:01you just like draw shapes in the left-and pane and it renders the image in the right hand pane based on your

511. 1:24:23from Adobe is has not been trained on any copywritten images so if you're in a corporation that's really good there man the voice is
512. 1:24:38crunchy all right Runway ml video creation so you've got Runway ML and pabs are kind of the two main players of
513. 1:24:48text to video or image to video both of these guys are getting better and better and better they're they're we're very
514. 1:24:55early and the the videos are janky as [ __ ] but enjoy this time where the videos suck because they're going to get better
515. 1:25:05fast like over the next year both of these Labs both of these companies um are likely going to be able
516. 1:25:17to produce video content as as well as stability AI you know they're going to put out models that are just going to get better and
517. 1:25:25better and better if if um Mid Journey gets better like just so anyway this is a really interesting area to
518. 1:25:35explore um just because it's so shitty right now that real filmmakers are going to look at this stuff and laugh at it to their own
519. 1:25:44detriment um Avatar creation he Jen and did both of them are doing really interesting [ __ ] um if you just need to put together
520. 1:25:53a corporate video that like stitches together stock video Visa does it really really well it narrates it it writes the
521. 1:26:02script narrates it finds you all the clips stitches them together and then you can pay them to remove all the
522. 1:26:07watermarks it's it's it's a pretty slick piece of stuff music and audio you've got 11 Labs um for voice synthesis you
523. 1:26:16have sunno ai and refusion for um generated songs and then uh sunno that this this is the one that got incorporated into
