6:26 too say Shere Shere sh 6:30 [Music] 6:34 uhhuh yeah leave a message and your 6:38 number 6:41 please take a time to want to satisfy 6:47 me take all these old fantasies and send 6:51 them care of 6:57 me all right what did Brandon say here 7:01 would it would you consider a 7:02 provisional patent for a novel use of AI 7:05 technology is it worth 7:07 [Music] 7:09 it um 7:13 [Music] 7:19 [Music] 7:22 [Laughter] 7:23 [Music] 7:35 um it's an interesting 7:38 question I I mean anytime I hear the 7:42 word 7:43 patent I I go to I here's where I 7:47 immediately go what's your 7:50 purpose and if your purpose is is well I 7:53 want to protect my 7:54 idea is is that really your purpose um 8:00 Because unless you're really 8:03 well-founded and unless you actually get 8:06 your product to 8:10 Market and then if someone rips it 8:15 off are you going to 8:17 be um financed 8:20 enough that you can actually prosecute 8:24 that patent 8:25 infringement the 8:27 chances in 99 99% of the time are no you 8:34 can't I mean if it's egregious and 8:37 someone decides to take the case on spec 8:39 it's possible um but they probably won't 8:42 do that now if the purpose of your Paton 8:46 is look this is really novel I don't 8:48 think that it's going to be I think it's 8:50 a moat right I think it's an 8:52 intellectual property moat and I plan on 8:57 you know spinning up my business 9:01 um getting it funded getting it in 9:04 market and then selling it to a big 9:06 technology company who will have the 9:09 resources to reinforce the patent then 9:11 sure right um or you could do like uh 9:15 Jim Franklin is it Jim Franklin that did 9:17 it yeah I think so up in uh up in 9:20 Boulder he um he got a patent from some 9:24 of the early video streaming 9:26 technology 9:28 and he got patent and then he you know 9:31 ran his company and he basically just 9:35 let let all these big companies generate 9:39 a bunch of streaming 9:41 services and then he just went door by 9:43 door and knocked on the door and said oh 9:45 I've got this patent he patent trolled 9:47 them uh here I've got this patent so why 9:49 don't you pay me $100 million and he 9:52 just he just went down the line and 9:54 knocked on doors and made a bunch of 9:56 money on it so so there's some 9:58 strategies but here's the here's the big 10:01 caveat right 10:04 now and this this is a weird cynical 10:08 take for for someone who is you know 10:11 largely optim optimistic about this 10:15 stuff I can't imagine any piece of 10:19 software developed in the next 10:21 year that isn't going to be trivial to 10:24 copy in the next three and it's not 10:27 going to be like one or two companies 10:31 can copy it and spend you know $10 10:35 million building it and knocking it off 10:38 it's like anyone who sees that I idea is 10:40 going to be able to just go oh hey make 10:43 me one of those right either for their 10:46 company or just as individuals so I 10:49 think we're getting we are entering a 10:51 very very 10:54 strange copyright and intellectual 10:57 property landscape so um provisional 11:01 patents are decently cheap they're not 11:02 cheap cheap if you can write it yourself 11:04 with chat GPT go for it um and you just 11:07 want to pay it like that but it's like I 11:10 I don't 11:10 know I would there's a lot more 11:13 questions to answer what did you just 11:16 drop I don't know what did I 11:19 drop I might have hit my guitar or I'm 11:22 playing with these thing my little 11:24 fidget toy that Vicky gave me my s'mores 11:28 fidget toy 11:31 was that it was this the 11:34 noise what is that awful 11:39 [Music] 11:43 noise see the hill is a quiet 11:48 town where the oak trees 11:53 sway whistle of the Train E go through 11:58 the day 11:59 [Music] 12:01 people greet you with a 12:04 nod nothing ever seems to 12:07 change story still 12:10 unfold each unique and 12:13 [Music] 12:14 strange grew up tough in the town in the 12:19 town we called 12:26 home no matter her tone 12:32 longing to be on the 12:34 inside longing for love just a 12:37 little she found herself as a guest in a 12:41 nervous 12:43 Hospital oh this hurts to read against 12:46 yeah I can go change 12:49 it we Mary from SE 12:53 Hill she hows when she's 12:57 blue sadness and shame 12:59 [Music] 13:02 under the 13:03 [Music] 13:06 southern 13:11 [Music] 13:13 Moon all right I'll go change my shirt 13:15 you stay here how many people here 53 13:18 hold down the fort share this tap the do 13:21 the tapy Taps go find a grandchild tell 13:24 them to tap the screen a lot my grandpa 13:26 my finger hurts shut up Sally keep 13:28 tapping all right all right 14:16 [Music] 14:25 all 14:26 right so we got I only had shirts with 14:29 white so you get an inside out Moon 14:32 shirt see it's got moon on it but it's 14:35 inside out now all 14:37 right good day good people thanks I'm 14:41 more curious about if there's a benefit 14:44 to being one of the first to think of an 14:46 idea 14:50 now 14:51 I I think intellectual property is about 14:54 to get really [ __ ] 14:58 weird I I think it's about to get really 15:00 weird I don't think so I mean patents 15:02 are weird patents patents have nothing 15:05 to do with commercial viability I've 15:10 got how many patents do I have well I've 15:14 got a bunch for Story vine two US 15:16 patents and eight international 15:18 patents I've got a patent for a fly 15:20 fishing system I 15:22 invented I think I might have one more 15:24 but I don't know it doesn't 15:27 matter the fly fishing system I vented 15:30 it's one of the things I'm most in 15:31 intellectually proud of and it is one of 15:34 the most disastrous business decisions 15:37 in my entire life so patent patent you 15:42 know value whether you get one or not is 15:47 independent of whether or not it's a a 15:49 decent business idea and then that's 15:52 independent of whether or not you can 15:54 actually execute the business but I 15:57 don't I don't 16:01 I would consult an IP attorney but but I 16:05 think the reality of patents and and the 16:09 the intellectual property that we're 16:10 about to enter the the intellectual 16:14 property Gauntlet we're about to enter 16:17 yeah philosophical Monday is is uh I 16:21 wouldn't I 16:23 like I don't know I wouldn't it would 16:26 have to be pretty [ __ ] novel 16:30 it would have to be pretty [ __ ] novel 16:32 and listen I 16:33 mean do I think that there's not novel 16:36 ideas out there no there are there there 16:38 are and are there novel ideas out there 16:41 worth protecting 16:42 probably but 16:44 anyway lost my last two patent fights 16:46 due to lack of available lawyer fees yet 16:49 sold out my ideas and 16:52 cheap yeah yeah I yeah fight fighting 16:57 litigating patents is expensive and slow 16:59 and hard um and unless you unless you 17:03 have very Deep Pockets right or you're 17:05 going to if you have a path to sell your 17:08 company to a company with Deep Pockets 17:11 that has a patent portfolio then [ __ ] 17:13 go for 17:14 it but if if not if you're just like I 17:18 got a patent yeah that and a bus pass 17:21 will get you 17:23 downtown all right the mask oh the mask 17:26 Tik Tock was so great what a beauty 17:28 thank you June I appreciate that um I 17:30 will in fact I can go show I can go show 17:34 that I'll show how I made that 17:37 tonight um because it was I I took a 17:41 little inspiration from from Kelly Bosch 17:43 who does just you know these amazing 17:46 videos like one after another like daily 17:48 just knocking these things out and um I 17:53 was watching I think I was watching the 17:54 Olympics the other night and I thought 17:58 oh I should make a video and I'm like oh 18:00 that's too much 18:01 work and then I thought no Kelly talks 18:04 about how she does this when she's 18:06 sitting at her couch at night she's just 18:08 like sitting on her couch watching TV 18:10 making images in mid journey and 18:13 right 18:14 and and then I thought well why don't I 18:17 make them in chat GPT rather than mid 18:20 Journey because it's just easier right 18:23 so so I was like ah what idea could I 18:25 come up 18:27 with and I forget how I got on the 18:31 masks I think I just wanted I just 18:33 wanted a 18:35 um like a consistent through line across 18:39 lots of 18:40 images so I just said to chat GPT come 18:44 up with visual prompts for for 20 18:47 ancient ceremonial masks from 20 18:50 different countries and maybe 20 18:53 different errors I don't know I don't 18:54 know exactly what I said and then it it 18:57 wrote the descriptions and I modified 18:58 that slightly and then I just said make 19:00 the next one make the next one make the 19:02 next one so it made all of 19:04 those and then I think then what did I 19:07 do oh then I had to find an image to 19:11 video tool that I have access 19:15 to that I'm not rate limited out on 19:19 right cuz most of the things if I'm 19:20 paying 10 bucks a month on a video tool 19:22 you get like six 19:24 videos um and runways image to video had 19:29 hadn't come out yet that came out today 19:30 so we'll play with that today too and so 19:33 I used ka's video which is kind of went 19:36 you know wonky and weird Jank janky and 19:39 weird as as all these tools are but it 19:42 kind of worked for that it did this 19:43 weird sort of light flashing thing the 19:45 light flashing back and forth so let me 19:47 let me show you the the video that I 19:50 made and then 19:55 um and the music here was done in 20:00 udio cuz yudo has a 20:03 new they have a new model out as well um 20:08 let's see 20:09 new 20:15 downloads oh that's just all the Raw 20:18 videos where do I have it on the 20:20 desktop yes okay 20:32 oh these are some cool images some cool 20:35 images I did for tonight's little 20:37 project this was another thing I did I 20:39 did a whole bunch of images for for 20:42 Runway image to 20:45 video um and this was this was one of 20:48 the one of the ones I did The Prompt 20:51 here was 20:52 hope with a with a random style 20:55 reference and this was these four Images 20:58 were in a single Style reference I just 21:00 think they're 21:03 stunning hope the single word prompt 21:07 prompt engineering my 21:09 [Laughter] 21:20 ass 21:22 okay so I got frustrated with chat gbt 21:25 last night said I was going to Claude 21:29 for 21:30 coding uh main 21:33 Association main Association for my 21:35 industry reached out love the mid 21:38 Journey thumbnails gonna promote the 21:41 vids [ __ ] awesome Jim Jim Ross just 21:45 taking AI tools and kicking storage 21:49 management 21:50 ass on a weekly basis that's awesome 21:53 congrats dude um okay let's go look at 21:56 this video 22:02 [Music] 22:07 let 22:08 me Let Me Entertain 22:12 [Music] 22:13 You all right there we can see it that's 22:16 pretty good right 22:21 yeah where's my 22:27 mouse volume up 22:32 all right here we go so this is called 22:35 um I named this after the fact I named 22:37 this collective intelligence so I'm 22:39 working on a book right now called the 22:40 rise of collective intelligence in the 22:42 age of AI and 22:47 uh oh forever hooked sorry kid with a 22:50 nightmare they should they shouldn't see 22:52 this this video then it's probably good 22:55 to 22:55 go take care of you baby all right here 22:58 we go 23:00 [Music] 23:08 [Applause] 23:13 oh 23:15 [Music] 23:30 see that light the light how it 23:32 flickers Kaa did that 23:40 [Music] 23:43 [Applause] 23:59 [Music] 24:06 [Music] 24:16 so anyway there you go so not not the 24:19 most sophisticated edit in the world let 24:22 me string together 10 5-second clips and 24:25 throw a cross fade in between them but 24:27 that's all right 24:31 welcome to add you know you either do a 24:34 two-hour feature film or you do you know 24:36 shitty a shitty edit but let's let me 24:38 show you how I did that 24:48 um 24:51 um let's go to chat jie 24:57 T mythical mask closeups so let me show 25:01 you 25:02 the 25:06 oops the process cuz I don't know I 25:10 think the the process is interesting 25:13 so it started so again I did this on my 25:16 phone while I'm watching TV right so 25:19 this is not there's not a lot of thought 25:22 going into this and this is again my new 25:25 mantra of the past month and a half or 25:27 two is 25:29 um stop using your 25:32 brain we have ai now you don't need to 25:35 do that [ __ ] anymore right CU 25:37 historically if I was like okay I got to 25:40 come up with a video concept and like 25:42 even if I came up with masks I'd go like 25:45 okay well what are kinds of masks well 25:47 there's like the the Lucha Libre mask in 25:50 Mexico and there's the Opera mask in 25:53 China and there's the right and you use 25:55 your [ __ ] brain to do right no 25:59 so I put create 20 image prompts for 26:02 closeups of mythical masks from 20 26:05 countries and so it did China Japan 26:09 Greece Mexico Egypt like you know it oh 26:13 yeah Papa New Guinea of course how could 26:15 I forget Papa New Guinea because you're 26:17 human your brain doesn't do what [ __ ] 26:19 large language model do which is [ __ ] 26:22 remember 26:24 everything um so then I said um oh 26:29 that's it I I didn't even touch it I 26:31 just said make make 16 by9 wide right so 26:35 I wanted cinematic shape you know 26:38 landscape image of the first one in a 26:41 cinematic Style with dramatic lighting 26:43 and so that was the image it 26:48 created and then there was that one and 26:53 that one and then I I just said next 26:56 next image like here's my prompt next 26:58 image 27:00 and it did that and and again so I'm 27:03 just I'm literally on my phone and you 27:05 know when it renders the image like 27:06 great next image next image so I'm not 27:08 even really paying attention to 27:13 them and just sort of blasted down 27:16 through them and then at some point I 27:18 did next image and it it's it repeated 27:20 them from the top that one I really like 27:23 it it didn't it it actually really uh 27:26 Kaa like completely lost that one th 27:28 this one turned into like a weird ass 27:30 panda bear and that's a cool the the 27:33 eagle or the hawk or whatever the hell 27:34 that is is really 27:36 cool 27:40 um that one I think is just stunning so 27:43 this is all Dolly 3 right this is all 27:46 I'm within chat GPT right now so if you 27:49 pay your 20 bucks a month you get access 27:51 to this tool for free um at some point 27:56 um it said you're making images too fast 27:59 try again in 3 minutes and so it rate 28:01 limited me for 3 minutes which is fine I 28:05 didn't give a [ __ ] really cuz I'm 28:07 watching TV what did I care here's where 28:09 it started repeating the masks and then 28:11 what did I do oh so that was 28:16 it so then I downloaded every one of 28:19 these 28:20 images and of course it downloaded them 28:22 in webp and I had to convert them to 28:24 pngs and then I had to convert them to 28:26 jpegs because who whoever invented webp 28:29 is an [ __ ] and whoever is not 28:31 supporting it is a bigger [ __ ] um so 28:34 I dealt with that 28:36 nonsense um downloaded the images and 28:39 then I went over to 28:42 Korea and 28:44 again I I logged into 28:50 um wait you get this tool for free if 28:53 you pay for it exactly that's exactly 28:57 right um and we and you get this tool 28:59 for free if you pay for it and we'll 29:01 give it to you for short limited 29:06 uses it's exactly right that is the new 29:09 business model um video and video tools 29:12 are even worse so I went to Deco here I 29:16 went to Runway I went 29:21 to I don't know three or four different 29:24 video tools that I didn't have enough 29:26 credits on and then I got to Kaa and Kaa 29:30 has this weird ass video 29:34 tool that it's got a timeline and you 29:37 sort of set a duration length over here 29:40 and then it's got a prompt so what I 29:43 ended up doing 29:46 was I'd import an image here at the 29:49 beginning of the timeline I set the the 29:52 video length for 5 seconds and then the 29:55 prompt down below here said mask comes 29:57 to life 29:59 and eyes glow with Spirit right so some 30:03 stupid ass some stupid ass prompt and so 30:06 what I would do is it would make a video 30:08 I would download it if I liked it and 30:10 then I would trash the image here and 30:13 then I would go click and it's going to 30:15 add an 30:16 image all my images are broken for some 30:19 reason oh maybe do I need to log in no 30:21 I'm logged in so let me go grab an image 30:25 from from the downloads 30:31 let's go get a good one we get a good 30:34 colorful one that's a good one okay so I 30:36 i' grab an image like 30:43 that what's going on it ain't this [ __ ] 30:46 ain't 30:48 working why is that upload not 30:51 working let me reload Kaa hang on 30:58 okay it's in there now so for whatever 31:00 reason so it's loaded 31:02 here and then this video that's here is 31:05 from the previous thing and then over 31:08 here I say generate 31:12 video and then it would generate the 31:14 video and so it's doing its thing and 31:17 this was weird too where CU what what 31:20 what Korea will do is it will generate a 31:24 low reses version of the 31:26 video and then you think it's done and 31:28 you download it and then it does a 31:30 second pass on the video and it makes it 31:32 way more detailed so I I kind of had to 31:35 learn see so the video is done here but 31:37 that's the rough draft of it and notice 31:41 how the image is very different than 31:46 the um the original let me show you the 31:49 original 31:53 here and this I mean this is where you 31:56 very you very much get into embracing 31:58 the Jank 31:59 territory where so there's the image I 32:02 started with and there's the low res 32:06 image like it turned it from this super 32:09 masculine scary Mustachio dude 32:12 to kind of 32:15 her and now it's now it's it's 32:18 rendering it to add details and you'll 32:21 see here in a 32:25 second yeah there you go so there's the 32:27 details so see how it got much more 32:29 contrasty and the lighting got got 32:32 bigger and 32:34 better so then I did that so then I 32:37 thought okay so now I need so so what I 32:40 how I kind of previewed what it was 32:42 going to look like is I went over to 32:44 finder my little download 32:46 area and I said okay let me just preview 32:50 these 32:51 here's here's one of the masks there's 32:53 another one there's another one 32:58 so I'm like okay this is you know this 33:01 kind of 33:04 works and so I thought I need some music 33:07 for 33:08 this and the music was actually really 33:11 hard so I went I went back to chat GPT 33:13 because again don't use your 33:16 brain when you could 33:22 um you know I I could write an a I could 33:26 have probably done better if I written a 33:28 prompt but I was committed to not using 33:30 my brain so describe a piece of music 33:33 that would be a good backing track to 33:35 videos of all these masks what's nice 33:38 about working in chat GPT is you can say 33:41 phrases like all these masks and it 33:43 knows what it just produced right it 33:46 should have ceremony on traditional 33:47 elements with driving beats so it wrote 33:50 this big long long ass prompt and then I 33:52 said make it shorter and it did that and 33:56 then the the songs that it made were 33:59 just 34:00 shitty let me see the one that I went 34:04 with I actually don't love it but it it 34:06 was the only thing that actually felt 34:09 ceremonial so let me show 34:12 you or let you listen 34:19 to okay ritual echoes 34:23 [Music] 34:25 [Applause] 34:26 [Music] 34:30 okay that's got nothing to do with 34:32 rituals or 34:34 [Music] 34:38 masks sort 34:42 [Music] 34:45 of and what I would do is I'd 34:51 go actually I like this one now that I 34:53 hear it but at the time it didn't feel 34:56 right it didn't feel like ceremonial 34:59 enough this was a different 35:05 prompt and like I definitely wanted to 35:10 like right like if you're doing 35:12 ceremonial masks there should 35:15 be right and that that didn't have it 35:19 then there was 35:21 [Music] 35:25 this again i' go here 35:29 could 35:31 [Music] 35:38 work but that wasn't quite 35:41 [Music] 35:44 there 35:46 no 35:52 no no 35:59 and again if you're if you're in here 36:01 and you haven't played with these tools 36:03 like I know it sounds like oh my God he 36:05 wrote all those songs not really like 36:07 udio makes two songs for every prompt 36:09 you put in there so basically I would 36:11 have chat GPT write a prompt and then if 36:15 I didn't get music I liked at all I went 36:17 I had chat GPT rewrite it and then I 36:20 hand edited a few of them and then I 36:22 just popped it in here and I just kept 36:23 hitting rebuild rebuild and then I would 36:26 watch TV and I would sort of listen in 36:28 my headphones kind of mindlessly 36:35 aimlessly this is the one I ended up 36:37 going 36:39 with right that's at least got the 36:43 [Applause] 36:46 drum right then what else did I have 36:49 here then I was like I wasn't quite in 36:51 love with that so I did a few more this 36:53 one was just weird it 36:56 didn't that was just like the throat 36:59 throat chanting 37:06 singing you know again 37:12 nothing so they were all just kind of 37:15 this mushy Mambi pami [ __ ] except 37:17 for the one I went with and again wait 37:21 was that it no this 37:22 [Applause] 37:23 [Music] 37:24 [Applause] 37:27 one and then I basically just threw them 37:29 into um iMovie I just dragged all the 37:32 clips into iMovie threw them in the 37:35 timeline threw a cross dissolve in 37:37 between them or I forget what they 37:38 called it they called it something 37:40 different Cross Focus cross I don't know 37:43 whatever the [ __ ] it was called and then 37:46 threw the music in there and the thing 37:48 that probably took me the longest was 37:49 figuring out how to fade out the music 37:51 at the 37:54 end um and that was it and then I made 37:57 them movie and I uploaded it and like 37:59 from beginning to 38:02 end maybe an hour but probably more like 38:05 45 minutes of you know just having chat 38:08 GPT do it kind of mindlessly 38:11 playing why don't you just say jungle 38:13 music and be done with it I well that 38:15 was that was the thing is I was I was uh 38:18 trying to be clever and um that probably 38:22 would have been better Joker I'll show 38:23 you some images I made I made a bunch of 38:25 images for Mid journey tonight to play 38:27 with run New Image to video model um 38:30 love it thank you for explaining oh 38:32 you're welcome you're welcome you're 38:33 welcome um yeah so so that was the whole 38:35 process then I yeah took it into iMovie 38:38 right there's iMovie there's all my 38:39 little Clips there's the song you know 38:42 here's all the clips with the little 38:44 cross fade in between 38:46 them and then I figured out how to fade 38:48 it at the end which you know I knew how 38:51 to do this 15 years ago before I started 38:54 an automated video company because I 38:57 hated video editing so much that I 38:59 invented a company to automate this 39:03 [ __ ] that's you know you got ad when 39:07 when you're so you're so committed to 39:09 not doing things the way that the world 39:11 tells you that they are you start a 39:13 whole company to not do it that way it's 39:16 the the ultimate Act of defiance is [ __ ] 39:19 it I'll start a come I'll prove you 39:21 [ __ ] 39:26 wrong ah 39:28 a all 39:30 right so we'll get back to Runway 39:33 Aboriginal tribal dance yeah I listen I 39:35 needed you I needed you sitting beside 39:37 me both of you would have been those 39:39 songs probably would have been 39:41 better um but anyway I ended up with 39:44 something that I was actually decently 39:46 happy with with with not a lot of time 39:48 uh 39:49 invested 39:52 um what I what I didn't like about 39:56 Korea and in fact we'll we'll go play 39:59 with some some Runway ml image to video 40:02 tonight and I think that's going to be 40:04 much more satisfying um the way Korea 40:08 works both Korea and Deco 40:12 here both have video generation 40:17 tools but I think the foundation 40:19 technology for both of them is 40:22 sdxl which is this real time image 40:25 Generation stuff and it's it's very the 40:30 way they do it real time is they only do 40:32 one or two passes 40:34 of diffusion or whatever the [ __ ] they 40:38 do five passes maybe to get to an image 40:41 really quickly um and it just it 40:44 completely changed the masks like I 40:46 didn't like how much it changed it it 40:48 didn't [ __ ] matter because what what 40:50 it changed them to were still cool masks 40:53 like you know I didn't have a specific 40:55 mask that I wanted to represent I just 40:57 kind of want a general over the ages 41:01 over countries seeing how humans choose 41:05 to represent themselves ceremonially 41:08 right 41:09 like so it didn't have to be that 41:11 precise if I were doing a documentary 41:13 I'd have been 41:14 [Laughter] 41:18 pissed oh man if you wanted to help 41:22 grade school kids grade school age kids 41:26 write a song that would Trigger or Kevin 41:28 mallister moment what style here's what 41:30 I'd do Papa JJ I would have the kids 41:34 tell you what song is their favorite 41:36 song or or get a couple of songs and 41:40 then even if you don't know them go to 41:42 chat GPT and have chat GPT describe the 41:46 the style and genre of that 41:49 title and then I would take the key 41:51 wordss from that description into Udo 41:54 and then and you could also you could 41:56 also have chat GPT write the lyrics what 42:00 what I like about writing the lyrics in 42:01 chat GPT before you go to the music 42:04 things is that you can work on the 42:06 lyrics without having to write the song 42:09 so you could just play with the kids and 42:10 say okay we're going to do it in this 42:12 kind of style which based on the songs 42:14 that you 42:16 liked and then the the subject is going 42:19 to be whatever the subject's going to be 42:21 you you work on the lyrics and you tweak 42:24 The Prompt until you get them right you 42:26 watch them you know you let them watch 42:28 that that process and you let them 42:31 contribute to that process then you take 42:33 those lyrics that they just improved and 42:37 the song that they just described and 42:38 then you go to udio and you throw it in 42:41 udio I think I think you could have a 42:43 series of Kevin mallister moments there 42:45 so that's how I would do 42:47 it 42:52 uhw pow paw pow Paw Paw pow walk it W 42:59 did you run out of ideogram 43:01 credits for video ideogram doesn't do 43:05 video does it I don't think it 43:08 does you mean for doing the 43:15 masks I just like I I am a fan of doing 43:19 image generation within the context of a 43:24 conversation unless if I want if I want 43:27 want 43:29 really sexy art I go to Mid Journey but 43:33 I actually don't like it as much as 43:35 being able to talk about a whole story 43:38 or a whole concept or a whole marketing 43:41 plan and then make images within the 43:43 context of that I love that like that 43:46 for me is a reason to you to pay the 20 43:50 bucks to chat GPT that to me is the 43:52 reason cuz no one else does it quite as 43:55 good as they 43:56 do um but if you want just higher 43:59 quality art then use mid 44:01 Journey so could you have done it with 44:03 your company software 44:05 instead not really so my company 44:09 software is about telling a specific 44:11 story so it's more about the narrative 44:14 Arc with Story vine and and it's we 44:16 create these sort of fixed narrative 44:18 Frameworks so if it's a diagnosis 44:21 Journey we we would say segment one is 44:23 where the person introduces themselves 44:25 and two is where they um 44:28 where they talk about getting diagnosed 44:30 and three is where they talk about their 44:31 treatment and for right so it's this 44:34 prescriptive kind of story 44:35 arc I could make a storyvine template 44:38 for that but Story vine only makes sense 44:41 if you're going to make the same kind of 44:43 thing over and over and over again so I 44:45 could absolutely put together a story 44:47 Vine template that takes 10 you know 44:51 some number of second long clips and 44:53 stitches them together in that really 44:55 nice way but then if I want to to do 11 44:58 or if I want to do eight it's just not a 45:00 flexible it's just not it's just not as 45:03 as as good it's not as flexible it's 45:07 designed for replicable stories that 45:09 that are you can get some efficiencies 45:12 of scale chat GPT helps me so much with 45:15 my contracts yeah it's it's amazing I'm 45:17 the the thing that I'm most impressed 45:19 with with all these large language 45:20 models is their ability to analyze other 45:23 documents analyze synthesize 45:26 recombinate is recombinate a word I 45:29 think it is I don't think I used it in 45:31 the right context but you know whatever 45:34 I have a degree in acting and I have no 45:37 qualifications to be running this 45:38 channel so what are you going to 45:40 do well we just might sue you we just 45:43 might sue you for uh uh false 45:46 representation I think it's what they 45:47 call it in the legal 45:55 department all right 46:07 oh that reminds me of the Steely Dan 46:08 song Peg I think I love Steely 46:11 Dan your sound effects are always 46:14 awesome 46:17 those mouth 46:19 sounds um there was there was a comedian 46:22 named Rich Hall in the 46:24 80s and he came out with a book called 46:27 mouth sounds and and the one sound that 46:29 I learned was wait 46:34 ah that sound I learned that from Rich 46:36 hell's mouth sounds 46:38 [Laughter] 46:41 book super tripan 46:44 shamanic IDR doesn't have video I didn't 46:47 think so Babylon sisters actually got to 46:49 shake it baby agree 46:51 100% sound effects are awesome okay my 46:54 new go-to AI proofing my existing human 46:57 generated content yep that's another 47:00 good one that's a that's another really 47:02 good one or or slight rewrites like one 47:06 of the things I've done is I'll write 47:09 something shitty in in in my words in 47:13 Kyle words with a with this small 47:16 language 47:17 model 47:18 and and then I go just just rewrite it 47:21 give me 10 different versions of that 47:23 and then I'll just read them all and I'm 47:25 like no none of those are mine and then 47:27 and then I like okay I like this little 47:29 phrase here I like this little phrase 47:30 here so I Frankenstein I I use it as 47:33 kind of a Frankenstein 47:35 editor but man it's this is one of the 47:40 one of the challenges of large language 47:43 models is an embarrassment of riches 47:46 where it generates so much content that 47:49 sifting through it and finding the [ __ ] 47:51 that doesn't suck is actually kind of 47:55 hard actually you know now that I think 47:57 about it okay so I've given away a lot 47:59 of billion dooll ideas in this company 48:01 this is probably just a $500 million 48:05 idea but a $500 million idea would 48:11 be created either as a browser extension 48:15 or is a stand Standalone 48:18 app where you let chat GPT just you know 48:22 vomit out all sorts of variations of 48:25 content and then just as you're as 48:29 you're vomiting out the content you just 48:31 highlight certain things and go that's 48:33 good that's good that's good so so kind 48:36 of in real time or you could do it after 48:37 the fact you just sort of identify stuff 48:40 that doesn't suck within it and then it 48:42 pulls all that out into a new document 48:44 where it throws out all the [ __ ] you 48:45 didn't highlight consolidates it and 48:48 tightens it up that would be a pretty 48:50 good 48:51 app 48:54 but I I I don't 48:58 any app like that that is a let's let's 49:01 build a piece of software based on the 49:04 the ai's current limitations I think is 49:07 a pretty shitty 49:09 idea cuz cuz as soon as the new model 49:12 comes out where those limitations don't 49:14 exist and it just writes [ __ ] 49:16 better you 49:18 know um all right I have to wait throw 49:21 away so many 49:23 drafts on my boom for each one oh book 49:26 for each one I keep yeah exactly it's it 49:28 is it's it's a mess right now to edit 49:30 with this stuff cuz it's just it's just 49:33 it's just the vomitorium 49:36 right my husband does that mouth oh that 49:39 mouth sound too I made a promise not to 49:41 do it 49:43 anymore that's the moist 49:52 sound oh man they've raised our HOA fees 49:56 on a 2.3 million 49:57 loan to do work around here I'm I'm I'm 50:00 telling AI on them good [ __ ] 50:02 [Laughter] 50:04 them I'm submitting all documents the hi 50:08 HOA provides to to chat gbt yeah that's 50:11 brilliant right you give us some long 50:13 ass contract I'm going to have chat GPT 50:16 help me understand it and then I'm going 50:18 to show up at your stupid [ __ ] HOA 50:20 meeting and give you a piece of my 50:22 mind I like it Becky go kick some ass 50:27 homeowners 50:29 association [ __ ] Sally Sally the 50:32 president of the homeowners ass 50:35 Association well you 50:37 know this meeting uh I think it 50:40 imperative that we uh talk about um 50:43 shutter 50:45 colors um there there was a proposal uh 50:49 last meeting that we expand shutter 50:51 colors from gray and white to Gray and 50:54 mauve and white I think mauve is is a 50:57 little radical I think it's a little 50:59 radical I'll just say it right here this 51:00 is an open discussion we're open to 51:03 suggestions but mauve mauve 51:10 seriously where are we living where are 51:12 we living it's not that radical around 51:17 here yeah meta announced details around 51:20 digital Twins and avatars tonight 51:22 details in Salon news 51:25 interesting meta announced detail around 51:27 digital Twins and 51:29 avatars for for a tool that they 51:33 created Brandon you bring me too many 51:36 news you bring my too many news 51:40 Brandon 51:42 AI 51:44 Aon what's the Aon I'll tell you what 51:48 I'll tell you what you go right there to 51:51 the AI 51:52 Salon we it's French it's not salon 51:57 it's not where I get my 52:13 community and it'll take you to this 52:14 cool little place where we all hang out 52:17 together and then Brandon goes in there 52:19 and he gives me news 52:21 items and I'm like I don't got any I 52:24 don't know what to do with a news item 52:31 why is this not 52:33 loading what is 52:49 happening and in the AI there's a little 52:53 news 52:54 channel here Brandon break it from meta 52:58 though not available 53:02 yet create your own custom AI with AI 53:07 Studio 53:09 huh go look at this 53:17 [ __ ] it's the AI cellon it's where you 53:21 get your mind all did up fancy like 53:24 exactly that's exactly what a ston 53:28 is create a character based on your 53:31 interest with AI Studio AI meta wait AI 53:35 meta a.a. 53:38 comom 53:40 a-studio or in the Instagram 53:44 app try meta 53:54 AI ask it anything 53:57 all right so it's not letting us 53:59 do imagine an 54:02 image preview llama 54:07 3.1 all right whatever okay what I I'm 54:11 exhausted okay hang on people let's go 54:14 back to 54:19 this to get 54:21 started visit AI 54:25 Studio create an AI 54:42 chat what lens 54:45 bro sorry this page isn't 54:51 available nice demo sorry this page 54:54 isn't available sorry this page isn't 54:56 available go back to Instagram 54:59 sorry uh yeah we put those hyperlinks 55:02 there we didn't mean for you to actually 55:04 click on them uh we're meta and you're 55:07 uh what we call not meta so yeah if you 55:11 could just not click on those then you 55:13 wouldn't make us look like fools cuz I 55:15 got to tell you I'm feeling rather 55:17 triggered right 55:19 now good 55:21 Lord he you know he's on the AI learning 55:24 lab he he's like just cuz he has a Tik 55:25 Tok Channel he thinks he's like like all 55:27 Mr like Gen X like being able to talk 55:30 all aggro you know to us us youngers he 55:34 he calls us gen zers or something I 55:37 don't I don't even know what he calls us 55:39 I don't even think he knows who we are 55:42 but anyway so like we put these 55:43 hyperlinks in the document and it was 55:46 like okay so they didn't work but it's 55:48 like what are we expected to make them 55:51 work or something cuz he's like clicking 55:53 on them like just don't click on them 55:56 geez 55:57 anyway Mr Tick Tock anyway 56:01 okay AIS that reach more fans creators 56:05 can customize their AI 56:08 so okay so it's sort of digital twins I 56:11 certainly wouldn't call it 56:15 avatars cuz they don't speak and they 56:24 don't it's interesting 56:31 you 56:33 know so let me this is actually really 56:36 interesting so let me let me let me 56:38 pontificate for a moment 56:42 here let me let me pontificate on 56:46 this you can try to get started button 56:48 at the top 5050 chance it'll work yeah 56:50 it didn't work that's all right wait the 56:52 get started button at the top 56:58 oh back no I don't give a [ __ ] all 57:05 right so these digital 57:11 twins here's where here's where I see a 57:15 cognitive 57:17 dissonance I don't know if that's the 57:18 right term here's where I see a 57:20 marketing 57:22 dissonance I personally think that 57:25 creating a digital twin 57:30 I is is a very new 57:33 skill a fairly sophisticated 57:37 exercise and for me right now like I'm 57:42 about as deep into generative AI as you 57:45 can get at least trying to figure it out 57:46 conceptually 57:49 right I feel like I haven't scratched 57:52 the surface of 1% of what a digital twin 57:55 is why it should be in the world or how 57:59 we as individuals use 58:01 them and what this what this meta 58:04 product does is kind of says make your 58:07 own digital twin or make your own agent 58:10 that represents you in like Instagram 58:14 space it like it feels like it feels 58:18 like you've got sort of a graduate level 58:22 conceptual exercise of contemplating 58:25 what the virtual you 58:28 is and and like why people would use it 58:31 and how you want yourself represented 58:35 over here and then you have this 58:36 consumer app Instagram make [ __ ] make 58:38 fun [ __ ] make [ __ ] that's easy make [ __ ] 58:42 that's it just it does it just feels 58:44 like oil and water right now and it like 58:48 I feel like either no one's going to do 58:50 them kind of like the Apple mimoji 58:53 things where you can design your little 58:55 dude like yourself and then it's it's 58:58 cool but it's like it's a lot of work 59:00 and it's like well how am I going to use 59:02 this when am I going to use this where 59:03 am I going to use 59:07 this I don't have I don't have a [ __ ] 59:10 clue where to use a digital twin right 59:11 now anyway that's weird all right so 59:15 there's 59:17 that you're being too meta right now 59:20 totally being to meta we're looking at 59:23 uh meta just announced create your own 59:26 custom 59:27 AI so create a digital version of you 59:31 with some sort of data of you that you 59:34 can use on Instagram and 59:36 Facebook life's tough it's tougher when 59:39 you're stupid you know what I mean I 59:41 don't know I I just I don't get it th 59:44 this could be listen totally 59:47 fair what's going on all 59:53 right H [ __ ] 1:00:21 I just had to slide the puzzle piece 1:00:22 three times before I can return because 1:00:26 apparently me talking 1:00:29 is so let me get this straight Tick Tock 1:00:33 you can 1:00:35 understand if I say the word booby you 1:00:38 can ban me for 1:00:40 life but you can't understand that I'm 1:00:42 sitting here [ __ ] talking into a 1:00:44 camera live you can't do that analysis 1:00:47 with your fancy [ __ ] AI you got to 1:00:49 slide a little puzzle piece of that if I 1:00:51 get it [ __ ] one pixel wrong it's like 1:00:53 ah verification not complete you've got 1:00:57 to be machine likee in your in your 1:01:00 accuracy and your 1:01:02 Precision or we're going to if you're 1:01:05 not as precise as a machine we're going 1:01:07 to declare you not 1:01:09 human 1:01:14 what ass hats oh I'm sorry is ass hat 1:01:18 one of those words Tik Tok am I going to 1:01:20 get oh this is now for adults only sorry 1:01:24 you've been banned for life 1:01:30 you can make money 1:01:32 withing this is not philosophical Monday 1:01:35 this is Kyle's [ __ ] steaman at the 1:01:38 [ __ ] puzzle piece [ __ ] 1:01:49 game 1:01:51 ah sorry I'm sorry was I talking about 1:01:54 something 1:01:56 I've bro I've broken into a sweat help 1:02:05 help those voices in your head are quite 1:02:09 rude I had a conversation with Moshi 1:02:12 about the Oly Olympics yesterday very 1:02:15 funny that's 1:02:16 [Laughter] 1:02:20 awesome oh good lord I went down a rage 1:02:23 hole I totally went down a rage hole 1:02:25 good Lord Lord I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid 1:02:28 I can't do that that's exactly what I 1:02:30 just experienced I'm like I'm in the 1:02:32 middle of making a point the screen goes 1:02:34 dim my face freezes and it brings up a 1:02:37 [ __ ] puzzle piece and then I slide it 1:02:40 over and right as I went to let go of 1:02:42 the thing it went an extra pixel over 1:02:44 and it went you didn't get it right you 1:02:46 [ __ ] 1:02:48 loser and then I did it a second time 1:02:50 and it hung and then I tried to refresh 1:02:53 it and I had to do it a third time and 1:02:55 then it finally went 1:03:22 oh 1:03:25 okay speaking of being pissed off at Tik 1:03:29 Tok if anyone here if anyone here wants 1:03:34 to do some research for 1:03:37 me I'll get you all to do my work for me 1:03:41 so I'm trying to convert for whatever 1:03:43 reason I started this account out as a 1:03:46 business account I think cuz I could I I 1:03:49 could do an email or something like that 1:03:51 but anyway I want to switch it back to a 1:03:54 personal account 1:03:57 but I can switch it back to a personal 1:03:59 account because I 1:04:02 have Tik Tock shop turned 1:04:05 on and I'm like okay I can figure this 1:04:09 out so I went down 17 different menu 1:04:14 holes and I found out okay here's how 1:04:17 you turn off Tik Tock shop so I went to 1:04:19 turn off Tik Tock shop it says you can't 1:04:21 turn off Tik Tock shop 1:04:24 because you have a 1:04:28 seller a seller 1:04:31 link active so you have to deactivate 1:04:34 your seller 1:04:36 link which I think was I linked my 1:04:38 seller account to printify which I don't 1:04:41 know if you remember this whole [ __ ] 1:04:43 deal but there's a there's a thing to 1:04:45 link your Tik Tok account to printify 1:04:48 but then when I linked it to it it said 1:04:50 we don't support printify even though 1:04:53 there's a [ __ ] thing that let you 1:04:55 connect it so anyway I cannot for the 1:04:58 life of me figure out how to 1:05:04 deconned 1:05:06 to so that I can turn off Tik Tock shop 1:05:10 so that I can turn this into a personal 1:05:12 account if anyone wants to solve that 1:05:14 [ __ ] nightmare for me I would that 1:05:17 would be 1:05:20 swell do you think there's money to be 1:05:22 made with AI and printify I'm actually 1:05:25 an adviser to a company doing um AI 1:05:28 images print on demand and we're 1:05:30 building it on a print toy back end so 1:05:32 yeah I do um yeah I do think there's 1:05:36 going to be money there um but here's 1:05:39 the 1:05:40 thing here's the 1:05:47 thing the the CH the chances of coming 1:05:52 up so it used to be you could create a 1:05:55 cute little dog C character and if you 1:05:57 put that on a t-shirt people would love 1:05:59 that dog character and for the most part 1:06:01 you could go sell your dog character 1:06:03 like what's that one up in Nantucket 1:06:05 Black Dog right they just did like a 1:06:07 silhouette of a black lab and they made 1:06:10 Millions it's so easy to make images now 1:06:13 of anything that you 1:06:15 want that I think the old model of come 1:06:21 up with one image that you're going to 1:06:22 sell millions of I think that Fades 1:06:24 really quickly I think we go to much 1:06:26 more personalized future there will be 1:06:28 some exceptions to that like you know in 1:06:30 an election year there's going to be 1:06:32 lots of there's going to be a couple of 1:06:33 hit t-shirts you know around the Harris 1:06:36 campaign the Trump campaign right all 1:06:38 whatever that that sort of 1:06:40 [ __ ] um but I think it's I think it's 1:06:43 going to be it's it's a much harder slog 1:06:47 to come up with 1:06:48 some really clever thing because it's 1:06:51 just going to be so easy to knock [ __ ] 1:06:53 off can you do a test and see which AI 1:06:56 can solve 1:06:58 it oh to solve the Tik Tok thing the 1:07:02 problem 1:07:03 is Tik Tok changes their interface so 1:07:08 often that what I what I can't do right 1:07:11 now is I can't sift through all of the 1:07:16 different so whenever I say how do I 1:07:19 turn off a seller link it says okay go 1:07:22 to your business account and then go to 1:07:24 business suite and then click on this 1:07:26 this link and I go to my business 1:07:28 account and they changed business Suite 1:07:30 to like business area and then I click 1:07:32 on that and and none of the [ __ ] 1:07:35 menus are the same as what the help 1:07:37 thing told me so it's just like I I 1:07:40 don't know I I at this point I'm just 1:07:43 like I I don't 1:07:45 care so so I'm a little I'm a little 1:07:48 Tick Tock 1:07:50 bitter well Tik Tok bitter I'm also 1:07:53 bitter at their [ __ ] algorithm 1:07:54 because they don't show any of my 1:07:55 content my [ __ ] people all of you 1:07:58 took the time to subscribe to this 1:08:00 Channel and then Tik tok's like yeah 1:08:02 we're just going to ignore that what's 1:08:04 the purpose that I'm subscribing that's 1:08:06 like a vanity metric you can tell people 1:08:08 you have followers but it's not going to 1:08:10 actually mean anything well why are they 1:08:12 [ __ ] following me well they can go 1:08:14 click on your content well they don't 1:08:15 have to follow me to do that 1:08:21 [ __ ] bitter you betcha okay all right 1:08:25 Carrie h 1:08:26 on I think because you're selling your 1:08:29 course maybe no my course is a pro no I 1:08:35 I don't think so I don't think so that's 1:08:39 a that's a 1:08:43 series and I don't think that's tied to 1:08:45 the Tik Tock shop I think that's another 1:08:48 thing the Tik Tock shop was very 1:08:50 specific of selling [ __ ] that's made in 1:08:53 China to 1:08:56 unsuspecting people and let me tell you 1:08:58 something there's a scandal of Brewing 1:09:01 that Madagascar [ __ ] vanilla 1:09:03 guarantee you that was grown in China 1:09:05 and it's probably not even even vanilla 1:09:08 it's probably some genetically modified 1:09:10 celery that they fill with like like 1:09:13 Cricut eggs flavored to taste like 1:09:17 vanilla something's up with that 1:09:21 [ __ ] okay meltdown 1:09:24 Mondays mother 1:09:27 [ __ ] look my hair is like it's 1:09:30 getting all [ __ ] 1:09:31 Wolverine I'm going to be [ __ ] 1:09:37 like I I'm spritzing I'm spritzing 1:09:42 people H he was a little moist 1:09:48 huh I was talking about something all of 1:09:52 this is because the [ __ ] puzzle piece 1:09:55 [ __ ] 1:09:57 Z do the thing do the thing you [ __ ] 1:10:00 old person with your stupid eyes that 1:10:02 don't [ __ ] work anymore slide it over 1:10:05 with your little shaky [ __ ] hands see 1:10:07 if you can get it Pixel Perfect no [ __ ] 1:10:14 you I want to know what 27-year-old 1:10:16 [ __ ] invented that little 1:10:19 [ __ ] human verification 1:10:24 [ __ ] call 1:10:27 Frank this could be a 1:10:34 Frank this is like a Frank video without 1:10:37 the 1:10:38 funny thank you 1:10:49 tck that made me laugh so hard so 1:10:52 unhinged 1:10:57 yeah this is wasted on not being 1:11:00 frank I really want you to include this 1:11:03 in your speech to lawmakers where's 1:11:06 March March March hey hey 1:11:10 March yeah on on a Tik Tok they got this 1:11:14 uh it looks like a 1:11:17 puzzle 1:11:18 is it's like a two-piece 1:11:22 puzzle it's a one piece puzzle 1:11:26 it's got two pieces it's got one here 1:11:29 and then oh it's the same same size 1:11:34 what oh it's a puzzle piece in a 1:11:37 hole so I got to I got to slide the 1:11:40 puzzle piece in in the 1:11:42 hole how do you you you grab 1:11:46 it where do you how do you grab it you 1:11:49 touch it you just touch the screen you 1:11:52 touch the screen and slide 1:11:56 okay Mark okay 1:11:58 Mark I got it I'm not 1:12:06 stupid I get it oh here we go oh wait 1:12:12 it hey 1:12:14 March it said I 1:12:17 failed oh oh how how do I fail to get 1:12:20 one puzzle piece in a stupid puzzle 1:12:22 piece shaped hole because I'm a [ __ ] 1:12:24 loser Marge is that it is that it 1:12:27 [ __ ] 1:12:29 March all right and we're breathing in 1:12:32 and 1:12:45 out you can make money with ch 1:13:01 I like purple 1:13:08 cars cars is 1:13:12 pretty you're a character I love it oh 1:13:15 I'm a 1:13:17 character I'm about 17 characters 1:13:20 therapy is 1:13:21 working I like turtles okay this is okay 1:13:27 I know what to do I know what to do it's 1:13:29 going to be okay we're going to be okay 1:13:32 we're going to be okay we're going to 1:13:33 get through this 1:13:36 together welcome welcome to Colorado and 1:13:39 Company 1:13:49 no back here live at the waterfront 1:13:52 village with my friend the zombie 1:13:54 Jonathan you're looking good Jonathan 1:13:56 just got an awesome face paint job what 1:13:58 do you think I like turtles all right 1:14:01 you're great zombie good times here at 1:14:04 the waterfront Village open for the next 1:14:06 11 1:14:07 [Laughter] 1:14:10 days oh that is so much better when 1:14:13 you're [ __ ] 1:14:14 angry my God 1:14:19 [Laughter] 1:14:29 okay all right people let's get this 1:14:31 show back on the road 1:14:35 woo there's a video of the boy growing 1:14:37 up now I know but you can't the problem 1:14:39 with trying to replicate the boy grown 1:14:41 up is first is he's going to be grown up 1:14:44 and he's he's just going to be like a 1:14:45 dumb older kid which that's kind of what 1:14:47 it is and the other thing is there's 1:14:51 something about that video that from a 1:14:54 comedic timing 1:14:56 standpoint that there isn't a better of 1:14:58 comedic 1:15:01 timing I don't even what know what you 1:15:03 describe it a 1:15:05 performance in the history of Comedy 1:15:08 like there's 1:15:09 not an element out of place from timing 1:15:14 to the words to her reaction to his just 1:15:17 [ __ ] cluelessness there's no way you 1:15:19 can replicate it so oh they should run a 1:15:23 constant Loop of that or the DMV they 1:15:25 really should oh God okay so let's let 1:15:30 me go show 1:15:32 you I'm kind of enamored lately with 1:15:35 with mid journey and and a and a way of 1:15:38 working in mid Journey that was inspired 1:15:41 by by Vicky Vicky 1:15:43 Baptist um introduced me to 1:15:47 the um style reference random tag style 1:15:53 reference random um 1:15:56 and then I think it was Peter 1:15:59 Kaminski who turned me on 1:16:03 to the single word prompt in mid Journey 1:16:07 that simple single 1:16:10 conceptual words can yield really 1:16:13 interesting [ __ ] 1:16:17 so um while I was watching the white 1:16:22 dudes for oh by the way it was so cool 1:16:25 this the the first speaker on the white 1:16:28 dudes for Harris call was Jeff Bridges 1:16:32 talking about being the dude with a 1:16:35 bunch of dudes it was very 1:16:38 cool it was very cool 1:16:42 um so while I was watching that and I'm 1:16:45 I'm just sort of flicking through 1:16:48 Twitter trying to figure out you know 1:16:50 did anything go on in AI today um my 1:16:53 Twitter timeline was just full of Runway 1:16:57 ml video again because Runway finally 1:17:00 released image to video and every single 1:17:04 post that I saw said it's [ __ ] 1:17:08 good so while I was sitting there I just 1:17:11 wanted to generate a whole bunch of 1:17:13 images that are in 16x9 you know video 1:17:16 format video size and just a whole [ __ ] 1:17:19 ton of images that we could go play with 1:17:21 um image to 1:17:22 video so let me scroll down and show you 1:17:25 where I started and and what I started 1:17:28 with big surprise '70s muscle car oh 1:17:32 here these were also some cool things 1:17:34 this was just a 1:17:36 cool that was a style reference 1:17:39 the the single word prompt here for all 1:17:42 of 1:17:43 these was 1:17:46 fundamental so so what you do is you 1:17:48 type in if you're in Discord SL imagine 1:17:53 and then you're prompt and then D- sref 1:17:58 srf space random and you turn 1:18:03 down stylization and weirdness all the 1:18:06 way to zero because if you have them on 1:18:08 it the the the Styles don't seem to 1:18:13 work 1:18:15 um and then because you've got a style 1:18:19 ref of random it just picks these cool 1:18:23 things so the prompt here starting with 1:18:28 these 1:18:29 four the word was 1:18:33 fundamental and then here are some 1:18:36 fundamentals here are fundamentals like 1:18:40 these are really 1:18:45 cool images like you know inks Splat 1:18:50 images and so that style reference for 1:18:53 for that image is there's a specific 1:18:55 number there but it randomly picked that 1:18:59 number those are all fundamental the the 1:19:02 only the only prompt the only word in 1:19:05 the prompt is 1:19:07 fundamental oh my God Kyle I just 1:19:09 realized why the puzzle piece showed 1:19:14 why you picked fundamental or the random 1:19:17 option generated no I 1:19:20 I I just thought what is a what is an 1:19:23 interesting conceptual word that isn't 1:19:26 really a visual word that mid Journey 1:19:28 could potentially understand so I picked 1:19:31 the word fundamental and then the the 1:19:34 srf random after that picks so when it 1:19:37 does an 1:19:39 srf it it generates this long number 1:19:43 332 332 698 635 so that style reference 1:19:50 gives us this sort of pink and black 1:19:51 cartoon 1:19:53 style so these four IM Imes are all 1:19:56 under that same thing these four Images 1:19:58 are a different style ref these four 1:20:01 Images are a different style ref right 1:20:03 so so that's how the the style refs work 1:20:06 but the the the prompt I put in 1:20:09 there was uh fundamental I've been 1:20:14 watching your channel for a while I 1:20:15 can't believe the advancements in AI 1:20:19 yeah I 1:20:20 know an AI fee or free or the advanced 1:20:25 in AI I I agree it's it it's it's 1:20:29 Insanity it's 1:20:31 Insanity 1:20:34 like there's a narrative there's a 1:20:37 narrative on Twitter certainly that oh 1:20:40 AI has plateaued and it's not advancing 1:20:43 and it's as good as it's ever going to 1:20:45 get and it still sucks and you know I 1:20:47 talk about how janky this [ __ ] in is in 1:20:50 here 1:20:52 but if you have a sem Lance of an 1:20:56 ability 1:20:58 to just basically do work like have good 1:21:02 critical thinking 1:21:03 skills these tools are [ __ ] insane 1:21:07 like they're insanely 1:21:09 powerful and so like I think a lot of 1:21:12 the narrative is based on well I just 1:21:14 want to push a button and I want it to 1:21:15 squirt out Brilliance well that's not 1:21:18 where the tools are right now but if you 1:21:21 if you have like a [ __ ] iota of 1:21:24 critical thinking and a little bit of 1:21:26 execution skills you can [ __ ] knock 1:21:28 out brilliant [ __ ] and like just this 1:21:31 little this little tip of this is 1:21:34 another reason to be in a community like 1:21:36 the AI Salon a month ago Peter Kaminsky 1:21:40 came into the AI salon and he presented 1:21:45 um Mid Journey rooms and you can go into 1:21:48 rooms and you can collaborate with other 1:21:49 people and he was showing us that and he 1:21:51 and just like an off kind of off the 1:21:55 cuff comment he said oh by the way you 1:21:58 should try single simple word prompts 1:22:01 because mid Journey can do really 1:22:03 interesting [ __ ] with them and I was 1:22:05 like so I just filed that away and then 1:22:07 like two weeks later I was on some other 1:22:09 call and Vicki said oh you should try 1:22:12 srf random and it's just a random style 1:22:15 reference and like those two things just 1:22:17 I just went went into mid Journey one 1:22:20 day and typed in a single word typed in 1:22:23 that and then I I literally copied and 1:22:26 pasted that prompt like 10 times in a 1:22:29 row and so it created 40 images all in 1:22:32 different styles and that's that's sort 1:22:34 of what this is this is that 1:22:36 exploration um these are 1:22:41 fundamental these are 1:22:43 fundamental these are fundamental I love 1:22:46 this this style ref is [ __ ] gorgeous 1:22:58 AI is just a probability engine it'll 1:23:00 never do anything 1:23:01 creative really 1:23:05 really how about these four 1:23:07 interpretations of the word fundamental 1:23:09 you don't think that's that's somehow 1:23:11 creative okay how about these four okay 1:23:14 how about these 1:23:19 four yeah resembles Tim Burton style 1:23:23 yeah [ __ ] B ERS 1:23:26 okay so then so then um I really like 1:23:31 this 1:23:32 style and I said let me try another word 1:23:35 and you know this was an example where I 1:23:37 actually used my brain which you know 1:23:39 here the new lesson we should all be 1:23:41 taking in is don't use your brain when 1:23:43 it all possible I came up with the word 1:23:45 approximate so these four Images are the 1:23:48 word approximate in the same style as 1:23:51 this 1:23:53 one and I mean they're just cool 1:23:56 I mean that's just cool [ __ ] art 1:23:58 sorry oops I went the wrong way that one 1:24:00 that one that one those are the word 1:24:04 approximate 1:24:05 then and then these are the words 1:24:08 [Laughter] 1:24:18 swollen in the same 1:24:21 style and then these are the the word 1:24:24 list full in the same 1:24:30 style I mean how cool is 1:24:33 that okay now we get to so this is what 1:24:36 I wanted to do for 1:24:38 tonight I haven't been sharing to the 1:24:41 salon lately but I've been working on 1:24:42 some cool [ __ ] Master Alexander come 1:24:44 back share what you're up to um I would 1:24:47 love to hear what you're up to I love I 1:24:49 love hearing that 1:24:54 all 1:24:56 right so the prompt 1:25:00 here and again I did srf 1:25:04 random so what I wanted to create was a 1:25:08 7s muscle car and a winding road that we 1:25:10 could put into Runway ml with with image 1:25:13 to video and see how it 1:25:15 did so this is 70s muscle car in a 1:25:18 Winding Road through a vast landscape at 1:25:21 Magic 1:25:22 hour um it didn't really do magic hour 1:25:26 all that well and the vast landscape 1:25:28 like they were all like planes they 1:25:29 weren't all that 1:25:31 interesting so I did a fair amount of 1:25:33 these and and these again I just once I 1:25:36 wrote The Prompt once I like pasted it 1:25:38 five or six times to just generate a 1:25:41 [ __ ] ton of 1:25:43 images and like all of these are weird 1:25:45 in some way like this one I think is is 1:25:47 cool enough that it might be fun to do 1:25:49 something 1:25:51 with but they're all kind of generic so 1:25:53 then I changed it up and I said 7 1970 1:25:57 Dodge Challenger in bright green and 1:26:00 it's the wrong green 1:26:01 unfortunately on a Winding Road through 1:26:03 a vast landscape at Magic hour and again 1:26:06 the vast Landscapes are all kind of 1:26:08 boring and 1:26:09 flat I didn't like them all that much 1:26:12 like I don't think any of these are this 1:26:14 this one's may be worth doing but 1:26:23 eh then I 1:26:27 said yeah then I said 70s do Dodge 1:26:32 Challenger and bright green on a Winding 1:26:33 Road through a vast magical mountainous 1:26:36 magical mountainous landscape and this 1:26:39 did better right so now we're starting 1:26:41 to get some interesting like there's a 1:26:43 road down here there's a road up here so 1:26:46 it's like we're in some sort of 1:26:46 Switchback 1:26:48 Valley that's a little boring that one's 1:26:51 really 1:26:52 cool so that one I figure we'll do do 1:26:54 something 1:26:59 with and 1:27:01 then did a few more of those and then I 1:27:04 oh and then I tried a 69 GTO Judge and I 1:27:08 turned off all the style and weirdness 1:27:12 so so so now the random style actually 1:27:15 gave me some really 1:27:18 interesting cartoon illustration Styles 1:27:22 like these I think are really cool 1:27:25 like I feel like these could be 1:27:27 interesting that one in particular feels 1:27:29 like that could be an interesting mid 1:27:32 Journey image so I think we so and then 1:27:34 and then what I do is if I find one I 1:27:36 like like this I'll either do um create 1:27:40 variations of it so here's very strong 1:27:42 and subtle so let's do four variations 1:27:46 of 1:27:49 this and then let me go find that couple 1:27:52 others that I liked um this one and that 1:27:56 one I like just as is so I'm just going 1:27:58 to do upscale creative so upscale will 1:28:01 give us a more detailed version of that 1:28:05 image and then I think there was one 1:28:07 other that I 1:28:11 like this one so let's upscale that One 1:28:15 upscale 1:28:18 creative all 1:28:20 right then 1:28:26 then I got tired of then I got tired of 1:28:30 of uh muscle cars and I'm like these are 1:28:32 just [ __ ] boring right so then I went 1:28:35 back to this idea of words like a single 1:28:39 word so I just did the word 1:28:42 magic and 1:28:43 so the the word magic with s ref 1:28:47 random and so here 1:28:50 are four in that style which are really 1:28:53 cool images 1:28:55 these are very Tim 1:29:03 Burton and then I did these which are 1:29:05 very kind of Disney which is kind of 1:29:13 cool and then the oops these I 1:29:21 love so I figure let's let's upscale 1:29:24 this one creative cuz that one I [ __ ] 1:29:27 love we'll make a video out of that 1:29:31 one but I mean look at 1:29:35 these look at that one I'm going to 1:29:37 upscale that one too they're just so 1:29:44 good then here's a kind 1:29:46 of Disney kind of version of 1:29:53 magic look this is is like art 1:29:56 deco poster 1:30:01 art these are kind of cool like those 1:30:03 would make good videos so again 1:30:06 the like why I'm going through all this 1:30:11 is like if you're not blown away like 1:30:14 blown the [ __ ] 1:30:17 away by 1:30:21 how how little imp put I needed to put 1:30:26 in to get [ __ ] magical 1:30:31 output and it's it's like a little trick 1:30:33 here or there so one of the things that 1:30:35 we talk about in the AI Salon is play 1:30:38 first and what I mean by 1:30:40 that 1:30:42 is if if you engage with these tools in 1:30:46 a way that you 1:30:48 have low or no expectations if you just 1:30:52 start [ __ ] with them just start 1:30:53 flipping d 1:30:55 right just start putting in words or 1:30:58 when when someone says something like oh 1:31:00 try a single word sometime okay file 1:31:03 that away and the next time you play in 1:31:05 mid Journey try a single word and then 1:31:07 just do like 10 different words and do s 1:31:10 ref random and just all this cool [ __ ] 1:31:13 comes out and like what I knew I wanted 1:31:17 in doing this exercise was I wanted to 1:31:19 be able to find some images that we 1:31:22 could take over to Runway and turn into 1:31:25 really [ __ ] amazing 1:31:26 videos right and so this is a way to 1:31:29 just literally Kickstart like I would 1:31:32 never in 10,000 years if you gave me the 1:31:36 best Photoshop skills on the planet I 1:31:40 would never in 10,000 years come up with 1:31:43 that image like like this style of image 1:31:46 I just wouldn't it's just 1:31:48 not who I am as a generator of art but 1:31:52 when I see it I'm like oh that's pretty 1:31:55 [ __ ] cool right that's like 60s 1:31:58 blackl [ __ ] groovy [ __ ] like oh yeah 1:32:01 that would make a cool video actually 1:32:04 right so all of a sudden you go from 1:32:05 this [ __ ] where it's like yeah it's a 1:32:07 nice illustration style to 1:32:09 like sitar music drop a little acid come 1:32:13 on let's do this is there a catalog of 1:32:16 srf codes there are um I think there's 1:32:20 two billion of them there's some crazy 1:32:22 amount of SRS there are we sites 1:32:24 dedicated to it where people are 1:32:26 cataloging them what I've started doing 1:32:30 and it's funny now that I've discovered 1:32:32 sr's random I've never actually used 1:32:35 this thing but I think it'll be valuable 1:32:37 at some point um I found the software 1:32:41 called my mind.com 1:32:44 and it's basically just like personal 1:32:47 Pinterest you just copy in like I'm I'm 1:32:50 just copying in uh Twitter posts and so 1:32:54 whenever I see an srf on Twitter that I 1:32:56 like I just I just hit the copy button 1:32:59 and I've got it set up that I can post 1:33:01 it straight into my my mind account and 1:33:04 so if I just type in here 1:33:06 sref in the in the little search bar 1:33:09 sref there's all of my 1:33:12 srfs right and I can just scroll down 1:33:15 through them and go find cool ones um 1:33:18 but but again I would just seriously 1:33:20 like just experiment just use Sr random 1:33:25 and just see what comes up like so here 1:33:27 so then I changed um this is a new word 1:33:30 so the new word here is fluid so single 1:33:33 word prompt of fluid srf 1:33:36 random and there's there's the first 1:33:39 four in that style I don't I hate the 1:33:41 color palette um and I kind of hate the 1:33:45 style but it's like they're kind of cool 1:33:47 it's not something I would come up with 1:33:48 it's not something I would 1:33:50 choose and then there's another one 1:33:52 these feel very cliche to me they feel 1:33:54 like very cliche watercolor they're nice 1:33:56 but they're not me and then these came 1:33:58 up and I'm like holy [ __ ] [ __ ] so 1:34:02 this is the word 1:34:03 fluid but it's a different srf style 1:34:08 reference right like isn't it astounding 1:34:12 that these four 1:34:15 Images 1 2 3 1:34:18 4 and these four 1:34:22 images and these four Images are all the 1:34:25 same word it doesn't make any [ __ ] 1:34:28 sense what you're what you're doing when 1:34:31 you use Sr random is you're essentially 1:34:34 surfing the latent space and if you 1:34:36 don't know what the latent space 1:34:39 is the way that Transformer models work 1:34:43 when they ingest 1:34:46 data they put it into this thing called 1:34:48 the latent space which is essentially 1:34:51 thousand dimensional mathematical space 1:34:55 with clusters of similar things so in 1:34:58 the case of words it's semantic clusters 1:35:01 in the in the case of images I guess 1:35:04 it's images that are tagged with the 1:35:05 same [ __ ] in them um so when you're 1:35:08 using an srf random it's basically sort 1:35:10 of just dropping you into the middle of 1:35:12 this thousand dimensional space and just 1:35:15 pulling out some visual styles that are 1:35:18 from that section of the of the 1:35:20 mathematical Universe crazy right um 1:35:25 the these are 1:35:27 fluid these are fluid these These are 1:35:29 much more literal fluid there's a list 1:35:32 of a th000 FRS codes in IR regulars if 1:35:34 you search for srf there you go these 1:35:37 are kind of pretty not something I would 1:35:40 use but you know they've kind of got a 1:35:42 Salvador Dolly kind of hyper real or 1:35:45 surrealism to them okay these these 1:35:50 four [ __ ] blew me 1:35:52 away so so this was the first four so 1:35:56 that was the that was the last image of 1:35:58 fluid the next word I chose cuz I was on 1:36:01 this political 1:36:03 call the next word I chose was 1:36:06 hope so I typed hope 1:36:10 space-- sref space 1:36:13 random this was the first four images 1:36:16 that came 1:36:16 [Laughter] 1:36:18 up I think those are just [ __ ] 1:36:20 stunning and beautiful 1:36:24 and then here's four more for hope I 1:36:27 thought those were stunning and 1:36:30 beautiful we're going to make we're 1:36:32 going to make videos out of these cuz 1:36:33 they're just they're [ __ ] 1:36:36 gorgeous and like these four tell a 1:36:39 story I don't know what the story is but 1:36:41 they [ __ ] tell a 1:36:45 story these four were 1:36:48 hope these four were 1:36:51 hope kind of anime 1:36:55 those were 1:36:56 eh these were pretty 1:36:59 good and then here I am upscaling those 1:37:02 images that I liked and upscaling those 1:37:04 images that I 1:37:08 liked 1:37:15 so I mean look at 1:37:17 that that's [ __ ] 1:37:20 stunning like that's going to make a 1:37:23 killer video 1:37:25 stunning [ __ ] 1:37:31 stunning all right 1:37:34 so let's go find some [ __ ] so we'll 1:37:36 download that 1:37:38 one where are we is at the top we'll 1:37:42 download that 1:37:48 one oh we did a variation okay 1:38:06 I think that's the one so we'll upscale 1:38:10 that 1:38:11 one all 1:38:14 right we'll download 1:38:19 that we'll download 1:38:21 that come on 1:38:27 we'll download that oh wait this one did 1:38:30 I do variations on these I did okay hang 1:38:35 on we'll see which one of these four is 1:38:38 better that one's okay that one's okay 1:38:42 that one's weird one's really 1:38:46 weird I think that one is the most clear 1:38:49 all right so we'll do we're going to 1:38:50 upscale that one creative so that one 1:38:52 we'll go get in a minute 1:38:56 minute okay this needs to be a 1:39:00 video [ __ ] gorgeous that needs to be 1:39:03 a 1:39:09 video don't care don't care that needs 1:39:12 to be a 1:39:14 video that needs to be a 1:39:20 video that needs to be a video 1:39:24 oh [ __ ] what the [ __ ] just happened oh I 1:39:27 did that 1:39:32 that 1:39:45 that 1:39:49 okay okay that needs to be a video 1:39:55 that definitely needs to be a video I 1:39:57 want to start with that one cuz that's 1:39:59 just [ __ ] 1:40:02 gorgeous don't care about 1:40:08 those okay I 1:40:11 think I think we're good maybe let's get 1:40:14 one of the let's let's grab one of these 1:40:28 that one so upscale that 1:40:43 [Music] 1:40:44 one download 1:40:49 that download that 1:40:54 and 1:40:55 download that's not 1:40:58 ready all right any questions this all 1:41:01 making sense so far the tool I'm in is 1:41:04 mid 1:41:05 Journey 1:41:10 um oh no salon tomorrow night there's a 1:41:14 there's a screw up in the 1:41:16 calendars so we used to do salons every 1:41:20 other week and now we've moved to 1:41:24 Mondays and Fridays except on 1:41:28 Meetup um they weren't updated on the AI 1:41:31 Salon Community they were updated so 1:41:34 there's contradictory information so 1:41:36 that is that is on me I [ __ ] that up 1:41:41 good but no salon tomorrow night 1:41:45 okay we got all these did I get this 1:41:48 one no okay we're going to download this 1:41:51 one 1:41:59 [Laughter] 1:42:10 okay so now I'm going to head over 1:42:14 to Runway ml so if I go to the homepage 1:42:18 of Runway 1:42:20 ml let's see how do I get home 1:42:24 app. Runway amount let me I'll just show 1:42:25 you how I get in 1:42:28 here all right so there I am in runwayml 1:42:32 I'm going to say introducing gen 3 Alpha 1:42:34 I'm going to say get 1:42:40 started and that's going to bring me 1:42:42 here and so now they've added click to 1:42:45 to you know drag and drop an 1:42:47 image or select from 1:42:50 assets and then you can describe your 1:42:52 shot down here here they've got a guide 1:42:54 for you you can do 5 or 10 second 1:43:00 Clips um if you go to your credits it 1:43:03 says Gen 2 uses five credits per 1:43:07 second gen 3 uses 10 credits per second 1:43:12 so I have 630 1:43:15 credits but if I do a 10c 1:43:19 video that's a 100 1:43:22 credits so I can make [ __ ] six videos 1:43:26 with my $10 a 1:43:29 month six 10c videos so we're going to 1:43:32 flip this to 5 seconds because I want to 1:43:34 be able to make more than you know one 1:43:36 or 1:43:37 two but it's going to be 50 credits 1:43:41 per video CU I'm using gen 3 so that 1:43:46 kind of sucks so we got to be a little a 1:43:48 little more uh picky about our images 1:43:50 but I think that one definitely has to 1:43:52 be one 1:43:54 so we'll just we'll choose that 1:43:57 one and we'll say 1:44:08 um the breeze gently 1:44:12 blows the 1:44:19 grasses as the steam Rises out of the 1:44:22 glowing pot 1:44:33 chaos would be a good word to use yeah 1:44:35 that would be oops don't forget to turn 1:44:38 off 1:44:45 your okay so we're going to generate a 1:44:48 5-second video out of this we'll see if 1:44:51 we get in the queue 1:44:54 your videos in the queue we'll start in 1:44:56 a few minutes okay so it's 1:44:58 started so now how do I oh okay so I 1:45:01 trash it up here oh that's cool I can 1:45:04 crop 1:45:05 it that's pretty 1:45:11 slick actually you know where that's 1:45:13 going to be slick 1:45:15 is when they add key frames in you could 1:45:18 actually zoom in and out of an image you 1:45:19 could start your image here and then you 1:45:22 know zoom in into it 1:45:26 here all right so that's kind of cool 1:45:29 all 1:45:30 right I go back here I'm going to get 1:45:33 rid of 1:45:36 that okay so there's a couple of these 1:45:40 where I 1:45:41 want those are cool but I want I 1:45:44 definitely 1:45:45 want those four 1:45:49 Images well those aren't totally 1:45:51 coherent I want these purple ones for 1:45:53 sure 1:46:01 here all right so let's let's grab that 1:46:05 one oh here's our video 1:46:07 already all right here we go people 1:46:10 let's see if this shit's any 1:46:15 good oh nice holy [ __ ] that's good 1:46:29 so it didn't it didn't get the wind 1:46:31 blowing on these and he's a little 1:46:32 static for my taste but it [ __ ] 1:46:34 nailed the 1:46:39 magic Wow that's [ __ ] good okay so 1:46:44 this one what are we going to do 1:46:47 here so we'll do 1:46:58 the tree reaches for the 1:47:01 sky as Lightning fills the 1:47:07 Horizon and 1:47:12 backlights the man who looks 1:47:15 on I don't [ __ ] know let's do 1:47:19 that all right that's in Q so let's 1:47:23 delete this let's go grab another one of 1:47:25 those cuz we definitely want the four of 1:47:28 these all right that's another 1:47:31 one that one 1:47:39 right I'm I'm super impressed with that 1:47:43 video I'd give it a three but it's still 1:47:46 super impressive oh this is interesting 1:47:49 improper lack of motion let's call it 1:47:52 that 1:47:57 that's basically that okay all right so 1:48:00 there's that 1:48:04 image okay 1:48:16 so Birds flee from the 1:48:20 storm as the clouds 1:48:23 boil and 1:48:25 twist while the man looks 1:48:31 on I honestly don't have any [ __ ] 1:48:33 clue how to do this oh look we got our 1:48:35 our next video please be good please 1:48:38 don't suck please don't 1:48:44 suck it's a little too 1:48:49 fast but it did backlight I guess it I 1:48:53 sort of [ __ ] that up by saying it back 1:48:55 lipped the dude cuz it did that quite 1:48:58 well it back lipped him quite well all 1:49:01 right that one I would redo cuz I want 1:49:02 to keep that moodiness to 1:49:05 it and the lighter clouds kill the 1:49:09 moodiness but 1:49:14 still actually there's a 1:49:19 similar similar sort of speed of of 1:49:22 lightning in both of those 1:49:27 fascinating all right oh this one's 1:49:29 almost done let's see how this one 1:49:43 goes all right all right 1:49:54 clouds are not 1:49:57 boiling the tracking camera thing's kind 1:50:00 of interesting but the birds are all 1:50:02 weirder than 1:50:06 [ __ ] all right I call that one a fail 1:50:09 okay what are we going to do here let's 1:50:14 see the pink monster dances in the 1:50:18 sky as the balloon floats 1:50:21 away and the 1:50:28 Comet crashes to the distant 1:50:34 field as the girl 1:50:38 dances no idea if that's going to be any 1:50:41 good that's okay and then we're going to 1:50:44 do one more got 480 credits 1:50:47 left and we're going to 1:50:50 go get what I think is my favorite image 1:50:53 of everything I 1:51:05 made sr-- srf random yes that's correct 1:51:10 so 1:51:11 basically whatever your prompt is and 1:51:13 then 1:51:14 space-- sref all lowercase space random 1:51:19 all lowercase if you put capital r 1:51:22 random it does doesn't 1:51:24 work I'm like really mid Journey you 1:51:27 couldn't [ __ ] program in use the 1:51:30 capital r really seriously seriously 1:51:34 this is what we're going to do now it 1:51:36 was the same people that programmed the 1:51:38 [ __ ] puzzle piece program the oh it's 1:51:42 case sensitive it's it's lowercase 1:51:44 random okay what are we going to do here 1:51:47 let's 1:51:48 [Applause] 1:51:50 see the mythical creature 1:51:53 hover in the 1:51:58 air as the boy stares in 1:52:02 Wonder at the 1:52:05 magical 1:52:09 pink 1:52:12 chalice hanging from the haunted 1:52:15 tree oh that's good that's some literary 1:52:18 ass [ __ ] right there all right okay 1:52:22 here's girl Comet pink 1:52:27 monster she's 1:52:30 dancing look at these pink monsters 1:52:33 great oh that's [ __ ] 1:52:35 awesome and there goes the the balloon 1:52:37 is flying away the only thing it didn't 1:52:39 do is the comet didn't fly in and land 1:52:41 but that's all 1:52:44 right that's [ __ ] awesome 1:52:53 wow all right so Gen 3 is pretty [ __ ] 1:52:57 good I will I will agree with Twitter on 1:53:00 this one that this shit's pretty good I 1:53:03 mean my shitty prompting 1:53:13 is you know is is part of the challenge 1:53:18 here but all right here's I hope this 1:53:20 last one's good because this last one's 1:53:21 so beautiful 1:53:32 all right let's go full screen with this 1:53:35 bad boy can 1:53:49 we huh 1:53:55 I think it's beautiful these things 1:53:56 these are 1:53:57 fails because there's sort of lack of 1:53:59 movement in those like I described those 1:54:01 things hovering and flapping their wings 1:54:05 but the um the 3D of that zoom in is is 1:54:09 really 1:54:17 interesting h 1:54:29 [Laughter] 1:54:39 fascinating so this all came from the 1:54:41 word hang on 1:54:57 hope 1:55:02 hope I would say that's got some hope in 1:55:13 it that's pretty 1:55:17 slick all right good people good people 1:55:20 of the AI learning lab 1:55:24 um we had some fun 1:55:28 tonight I lost my 1:55:30 [Laughter] 1:55:38 [Music] 1:55:47 [ __ ] 1:55:49 okay Andrea what's happening miss you 1:55:52 guys good good to be back it's good to 1:55:54 have you back welcome welcome welcome 1:55:57 some fun images and AI Irregulars okay 1:55:59 we'll go check those out Tobias Joey um 1:56:03 let's see what else we got here any 1:56:05 other 1:56:06 questions it's got some Arana Grande 1:56:09 Vibes to It Fabulous whoa in Dexter's 1:56:13 Laboratory yeah so anyway I think the 1:56:16 the point of tonight there's a continued 1:56:19 theme in the AI learning lab don't use 1:56:21 your brain or more importantly be 1:56:25 willing to 1:56:28 let these remarkable AI tools be 1:56:31 remarkable don't feel like you have to 1:56:33 be remarkable you can just be the editor 1:56:37 Lord digital Gods thank you so much as 1:56:39 always very very generous of you 1:56:44 um you 1:56:45 know I am not 1:56:50 anti-brain but I but I am Pro 1:56:55 explore new ways of using your brain 1:56:58 explore new ways of engaging these 1:57:03 tools that may not feel natural at first 1:57:07 because they are 1:57:09 stunning like some of those images that 1:57:12 we did there are 1:57:14 stunning you know what I want to try 1:57:16 let's try one more I want to try I want 1:57:19 to get that really beautiful geometric 1:57:21 image and do it with no no prompt I 1:57:23 think you can do it with no 1:57:25 prompt that one was that one that one 1:57:29 let's grab that 1:57:31 one I want to try that with no 1:57:34 prompt and then are there any settings 1:57:37 here oh there are 1:57:38 okay remove water mark we did 1:57:42 that fixed 1:57:49 seed okay so I'm going to kill the 1:57:51 prompt 1:58:11 embrace the Jank yes embrace the Jank 1:58:13 that's exactly 1:58:16 right enough credits yeah I have enough 1:58:19 credits I I I was sure not to make 10 1:58:22 seconds videos cuz certainly when you're 1:58:24 experimenting just experiment with short 1:58:26 videos your only choices are 5 Seconds 1:58:29 or 10 seconds though so it's 50 credits 1:58:32 a [ __ ] video so these things are 1:58:36 expensive all right I am going to 1:58:38 generate this with no prompt I I just I 1:58:41 find the colors in that I find the 1:58:44 composition in that I find the geometry 1:58:47 in that I I just I like ah I am stunned 1:58:52 by that image let's 1:58:54 see what mid Journey does with that I 1:58:57 hope it does it magical I'm guessing it 1:59:05 will D anybody have any questions before 1:59:09 we go any any thoughts 1:59:11 commentary 1:59:13 trolling comments that I could lose some 1:59:16 weight I should trim my nose 1:59:19 hairs I look like Alec Baldwin's really 1:59:21 let himself go 1:59:23 anything what is 1:59:26 ai ai stands for collective 1:59:30 intelligence are you on Runway yeah this 1:59:32 is Runway so runway in case in case you 1:59:35 got here late I I get overwhelmed 1:59:37 sometimes and your lives help me get out 1:59:39 of my head cam Kat can thank you that's 1:59:41 a really first of all I take that as a 1:59:43 big compliment but I think that's that's 1:59:45 kind of 1:59:46 where I think you've articulated it 1:59:49 better than I have which is like what 1:59:53 when I say don't use your 1:59:54 brain don't get trapped up don't don't 1:59:58 get lost in your head right don't 1:59:59 overthink 2:00:00 things let these tools be remarkable and 2:00:03 you just play like conductor of the 2:00:06 symphony and sometimes you know where 2:00:09 the music's 2:00:10 going and sometimes you're working with 2:00:12 a jazz band and like what I did tonight 2:00:14 was kind of kind of working with a jazz 2:00:16 band single word prompts random srfs 2:00:20 leads to beautiful [ __ ] like this and 2:00:22 let's see what it did with the 2:00:30 video well that's pretty [ __ ] 2:00:41 stunning 2:00:46 huh [ __ ] 2:00:50 gorgeous like I hate that it kind of 2:00:54 lost all that 2:00:58 geometry but it sure is [ __ ] 2:01:07 beautiful Call Me 2:01:10 Al it's only for the AI lab and Kyle 2:01:13 that I have the confidence to keep 2:01:14 trying well thank you for that I 2:01:15 appreciate you saying that 2:01:18 um that's why to keep showing up here 2:01:21 cuz you know know sure it's fun to watch 2:01:24 me lose my [ __ ] over a puzzle 2:01:27 piece I come for the Jank but you know 2:01:30 stay for 2:01:35 the you 2:01:38 know the willingness to divorce yourself 2:01:42 from 2:01:44 expectations I think is actually one of 2:01:46 the keys right now for unlocking the 2:01:49 power of these 2:01:50 tools and and 2:01:53 so yeah lose lose your 2:01:57 expectations I when I get when I get 2:01:59 most frustrated with AI It's when um I'm 2:02:04 trying to get it to do something 2:02:06 specific and when I when I'm just 2:02:08 [ __ ] around with it that's when I'll 2:02:09 often discover oh holy [ __ ] and it's 2:02:12 like you know whatever we learned 2:02:14 tonight with Runway and and how these 2:02:16 things do what they do this is going to 2:02:18 unlock something moving forward for me 2:02:20 and hopefully for you right that that it 2:02:22 it's it's these really subtle little 2:02:24 switches that you that you flip and play 2:02:27 with that at some point down the line 2:02:29 you're going to go oh I know how to 2:02:31 solve that problem cuz that's like that 2:02:32 thing we did in that thing I'll leave 2:02:35 that trippy little image going there 2:02:37 that's pretty cool looking I'm digging 2:02:42 that all right call me Al you've got a 2:02:45 wonderful Community great people I would 2:02:47 say we've got a wonderful community in 2:02:52 the the we includes you you're you're a 2:02:54 part of it so thank you for being a part 2:02:56 of it I I mean 2:02:58 seriously this channel is as good as it 2:03:00 is and the AI Salon is as good as it is 2:03:03 because people keep showing up and 2:03:05 contributing AI positive can be painful 2:03:08 it's moving fast need a support group 2:03:10 exactly that's what hi my name is Kyle 2:03:13 I'm in AI 2:03:17 ha any updates on your Washington Trip 2:03:20 yes um the trip has been rescheduled for 2:03:24 September 10th and 11th so I will be 2:03:27 back in wa well not back in Washington I 2:03:30 will be in 2:03:32 Washington as I was supposed to be two 2:03:35 days ago 3 days ago on September 10th 2:03:39 and 11th or yeah 9th and 10th 10th and 2:03:42 11th 10th 11th I think 10th and 2:03:45 11th um so yeah so I'm excited about 2:03:49 that um can you take the image you just 2:03:52 created Kyle and put it 2:03:55 in Deco and create your own channel I 2:03:59 don't know what Deco is should I know 2:04:02 what Deco is oh Deco 2:04:09 here 2:04:12 I maybe hang on it's a good 2:04:20 question let's see 2:04:26 app. Deco 2:04:30 here. get 2:04:33 started am I logged in log 2:04:37 in okay I'm logged in claim my 200 2:04:43 thing 2:04:46 close 2:04:49 close upload an image 2:04:53 upload a starting 2:04:58 image here let's do it with this 2:05:02 one 2:05:07 open 2:05:09 upscale you got to upgrade the 2:05:13 upscale tell you what how about you go 2:05:15 [ __ ] yourself um 2:05:22 apparently if I paid my bills I could 2:05:25 upscale this and then yeah I could 2:05:26 probably turn that into 2:05:30 a into a into a Channel or whatever it's 2:05:34 called a station but I can't it doesn't 2:05:37 look like I can do it without upscaling 2:05:39 it so all right station not Channel I 2:05:41 think yeah it's called 2:05:43 station uh 2:05:46 [Music] 2:05:55 is there still is there still time to 2:05:57 submit my story for the Washington Trip 2:05:59 yes there's plenty of time now cuz 2:06:01 you've got until September 10th yeah I 2:06:04 would love to have your story cam 2:06:07 um okay 2:06:10 so if you're new 2:06:13 here go there the 2:06:17 salon. it's our website and read what 2:06:19 we're about and then click on the button 2:06:21 that says join the community and that'll 2:06:23 take you to a site that sits on Mighty 2:06:26 networks but it's the AI Salon 2:06:28 community and it's where this group 2:06:30 hangs out when they're not here but also 2:06:32 where they kind of jam and play when 2:06:34 they're here 2:06:37 um it's really important right now to 2:06:40 get yourself into 2:06:42 Community really 2:06:45 important and I know we kind of EB and 2:06:47 flow like people there's there's a few 2:06:49 people that have you know showed up here 2:06:51 tonight that we're here before and kind 2:06:52 of ebbed and flow and flowed back in and 2:06:55 they're glad they're back 2:06:56 great that's that's life like life is 2:06:59 like we EB and we flow like I'm like 2:07:02 right now I'm a little like janky on Tik 2:07:05 Tok so I haven't been making content I 2:07:07 don't quite know why I want to make 2:07:09 content if they're not showing it to my 2:07:10 people which is not necessarily a reason 2:07:13 not to make it um but it's just where I 2:07:15 am we e and we flow right this is like 2:07:17 the Human Condition so just keep showing 2:07:20 up but get in a community community and 2:07:24 there's so many reasons to do it you'll 2:07:26 learn faster you'll make friends you'll 2:07:29 build trust you'll become a leader 2:07:31 you'll become 2:07:34 trusted and at some point someone in 2:07:38 this thing is going to do something that 2:07:40 gets 2:07:42 funded and they're going to need to hire 2:07:44 people and guess who they're going to 2:07:46 [ __ ] 2:07:48 hire the people that they know and trust 2:07:51 and like 2:07:55 that's why you get in these 2:07:57 communities particularly at at this 2:08:00 phase of a technological upheaval all 2:08:04 right gang for Life nice master 2:08:06 Alexander love it um oh my shirt's weird 2:08:10 because it's back it's inside out 2:08:12 um okay so go there do that let's go 2:08:17 back to our groovy trippy image 2:08:20 um if you want to support the channel 2:08:23 directly you can subscribe to 2:08:26 it um you can also just keep showing up 2:08:30 here and so to the people that show up 2:08:32 here the Irregulars the weirdos the 2:08:35 Irregulars that show up here all the 2:08:36 time nights like tonight um and 2:08:48 let's do a little magic mirror who's in 2:08:50 the house shared some screenshot shots 2:08:52 of me trying the S referandum on single 2:08:55 word prompts to AI learning lab 2:08:58 Irregulars great awesome fantastic yeah 2:09:01 that that it's there there's something 2:09:03 just really magical about it 2:09:06 and you know what it almost is it's 2:09:09 almost like art generation as 2:09:12 entertainment it's it's kind of jazz did 2:09:15 you dash dash s referandum when getting 2:09:18 dressed 2:09:25 yeah that's pretty good I like it um 2:09:28 okay
