9. 2:35on did they give me the new version no so there's a new version of chat GPT coming that uh I've been bitching about
10. 2:48and uh I think Mr Alman listened to me you know I don't know if you know this but Sam Alman comes in here a lot he he
11. 2:55doesn't he doesn't like to brag about it he doesn't really talk about it a lot I mean in fact he's never mentioned it
12. 3:02ever in the history of his Communications with the Press but it doesn't mean he's not here just because he doesn't use his real name and Tik
13. 3:11Tock that's probably why you haven't seen him anyway he's been listening to me I said he's got to get rid of all
14. 3:17those silly um modes of chat gbt and just combine them into one that's happening it's coming uh by the way Sher
15. 3:27D has uh invited in a whole bunch of nurses tonight so we have a whole bunch of nurses coming to the learning lab
16. 3:35welcome nurses thank you for all you do I got to tell you man I uh what was it like two or three years ago I was
17. 3:44getting ready to get on a plane for Europe and I had a a hernia go south on me and uh the nurses made made
18. 3:51everything better so so awesome awesome to have you here um all right so here's how this works we'll get going here um
19. 4:01I'll do a little little sort of housekeeping stuff and sort of get you up to speed on what this Channel's about
20. 4:07and and all that sort of stuff if you're brand new to generative AI sounds like we have some some uh some folks that
21. 4:13know each other uh in the channel tonight that's what this channel is all about uh we'll get you up to speed and
22. 4:20uh we'll get you up to speed quickly and then all night just ask questions uh we'll do this for a bit and just ask
23. 4:27questions and uh I've got some mods in here who will pin those questions so I can see them and I can answer questions
24. 4:34I can do demos all that sort of stuff so happy to take this wherever we want to go um so where do we want to start I guess let's let's flip
25. 4:49over to this document um what's happening why oh I get it okay so let's dim that out a little bit

27. 5:18Claud compare and contrast benefits through PDF for open enrollment yeah I did that with with Amelio's wife uh a
28. 5:26few weeks back well probably two months back or something like that a bit ago it did pretty good I I think I used Claude for that as
29. 5:35well chat gbt just announced they're um they're rolling all their modes together and they're expanding the file types to
30. 5:43include PDFs so you're going to be able to upload PDFs to chat GPT it's chat GPT is about to get really remarkable it's
31. 5:52it's about to get like not that it hasn't been not that it's not already really remarkable okay so if you're new
32. 5:59here if you've never done any of this AI stuff did I see the article about AI Vision not being able to see optical
33. 6:08illusions I've seen some people playing with optical illusions it doesn't surprise me um they'll if they trained
34. 6:15it on that specifically they'd get it um but but it probably makes sense because a lot of optical illusions happen in our
35. 6:21minds there's not really a lot of that kind of stuff so um so okay so if you're brand new to this stuff if you're like but Kyle I
36. 6:33don't know what to do I'm I'm not technical I'm not technical I hate this computer [ __ ] oh God please what do I do where do I start
37. 6:43okay first of all if you're not technical you don't have to be technical you don't need to you learn computer
38. 6:52codes and things like that the the toughest thing I I'll have you do tonight is if you want to join a
39. 6:58community that that is kind of that this this Channel's a reflection of uh we have a Discord Channel and Discord
40. 7:05Discord kind of sucks sucks technically but other than that I won't ask you to do much but if you're just getting
41. 7:12started just go to that that that yellow URL over there the yellow thing chat GPT that's the original and it's the best okay chat.
42. 7:21open.com just go there right now while you while you listen to me ramble on tonight um just go there and start
43. 7:28playing and if you and if you don't even know what to do you get there it's going to be like a little uh well here why
44. 7:34don't I just show you you're going to get to chat GPT and it's going to kind of look like this and this box right here is basically it
45. 7:46it's like a Google search box these are some if you really don't know what to do you can click on those things but like I
46. 7:52can go down here so I'm in chat GPT 3.5 which is the free version and I can just go down here and do oh yeah cuno good
47. 8:01point get ready to screenshot I'm going to show you a bunch of uh a bunch of different sites you can go play with I'm
48. 8:09I'm going to give you about 23 different rabbit holes to run down um but we're just going to start with chat GPT so if
49. 8:14you're brand new to this stuff just go to this site and then do what I call parlor tricks so the the first parlor
50. 8:20trick I like to do is um let's see write a country song of about a pop star who falls in love with a football
51. 8:34star and changes the game of football all right there you go and like that it wrote a song and if
52. 8:48if you're like wait wait what it can go that fast yeah it can go that fast and uh let's see what it says here uh
53. 8:57there's a tale I'm here to tell about a pop star you all you know so well she sang her songs in the city lights under
54. 9:02the neon spell one fateful night at a football game her life took a different track she laid her eyes on the
55. 9:08quarterback oh I'm going to say I'm going to say no no he's a tight end so so now they rewrite the song for
56. 9:22for him being a tight end uh one fateful night at a football game Life took a different track she laid her eyes on a
57. 9:31tight end and her heart did a double back all right so so there's your song uh you could also say uh let's see we
58. 9:40we've got some some nurses in in the house right so we could say um put together a scheduling framework
59. 9:49in table format to help schedule nurses for the next week let's see what this does Bo boom shift types nurse availability rotation
60. 9:59D table format there we go and it's doing the table so there's your whole plan for doing that I I could even say
61. 10:08um format it and mark down on screen so it's easier to read and then it should make us a nice table that's easy to read instead of the
62. 10:17code one it just gave us oh no it's doing the code one again um it can also do code if you if you want to do code
63. 10:26you can say write me a python application uh for nurse scheduling uh and it will describe what it's going to do and then it writes
64. 10:37python code to do that so so this is so just go to chat GPT here's what actually to do go to chat GPT and try to stump it
65. 10:46um have it give you an exercise plan have it give you a meal plan have it uh do creative writing for you it doesn't
66. 10:52matter it literally doesn't matter just go there and just play and then and then we'll we'll sort of dig into we we'll
67. 10:59dig in deeper as as the night goes on okay so that's if you're just getting started that top top left uh Square
68. 11:05there these other three Claude Bard and Bing are the these are kind of the top four chat jpt Claude Bard and Bing
69. 11:12Claude is uh a bunch of xop AI people so they used to work at chat GPT they they helped invent uh gpt3 and Claude is really good it also
70. 11:24just got $4 billion from Amazon and $2 billion from Google so so um trying to compete with the 10 billion doll that
71. 11:32Microsoft gave to chat BT and then Bard is Google and Bing is Microsoft so these are your big players uh should I get
72. 11:40chaty bt4 is it worth it unequivocally yes I think the 20 bucks a month for chat PT is the best deal in software
73. 11:48right now by far by far I didn't think that a month ago I thought it was a tossup I you know I paid for it and I'm
74. 11:56like yeah and I'm not affiliated with it in any anyway for for what that's worth if you're if you're curious hey how much
75. 12:03what did someone say some troll came in here and said what do they pay you for this advertisement they don't pay me
76. 12:10[ __ ] um Kyle you should be proud of me because I finally bought gbt 4 far out Be not Afraid see living up to your name
77. 12:21um wife thought I was using fraud. to help her with the paper it was claw of course there you go it depends on your
78. 12:30philosophy I suppose um okay thank you very much be Not Afraid um the other thing on on this Slide the prompts do
79. 12:37chat that little thing um down there promps do chat what that is is it's just like a Google doc oh thank you so much
80. 12:44that's that's really generous and very sweet it means a lot um prompt. chat will help you um kind of understand how
81. 12:52to talk to these things it'll give you prompts that you can copy and paste it's pretty great um let's see it would be
82. 12:58fun funny if the paper was about fraud that would actually be really good um but prom. chat will get you started okay
83. 13:06so let's let's move down this list get ready to screenshot okay here we go so um screenshot this this is this is kind
84. 13:14of your next four I call this the Kids Table um Pi is a conversational large language model so like chat GPT but designed for
85. 13:25conversation so if you download the iOS version of piie there's a little button where you can you click the little phone
86. 13:33button and you can just have a conversation with it it's really quite good it's quite compelling it's connected to the internet I'll demo it
87. 13:39later um perplexity is good if you need to do research pose good if um if you if you want to play with lots of different
88. 13:46models you can make your own value um you should get affiliate marketing no shame and valuing your time Love well
89. 13:54thank you very much I appreciate that I you know listen at at some point you know I'll I'll do what I can to to
90. 14:01to do some you know some monetization here and there I it's it's not about that right now but but I appreciate the
91. 14:08sentiment um and and great I'm glad I'm glad you feel it's worth something so um you know if that ever comes great
92. 14:15awesome um is perplexity good for blog post writing so I my problem with perplexity is I haven't used it enough to really no it's
93. 14:30not it's not like chat GPT or or um or clawed in the sense that it it it's really a writing thing it's more of a
94. 14:42research tool so if you're writing blogs that need citations to specific resources that that might be good um
95. 14:51Bard is also really good at doing those sort of citations Bing does them but it's not as good I would say Bard and
96. 14:58perple lexity are good if you need citations if you need just kickass writing it's gp4 by far um gpt3 3.5 isn't bad but gp4 is
97. 15:10just of another level um and also if you can't afford the 20 bucks a month for open AI chat gp4 bing.com is built on top of gp4 so it's
98. 15:23it's got some safety guard rails on it that make me not like it but if you can't afford the 20 bucks at open AI bing.com is
99. 15:30free um I really like pie it feels like you're talking to a real human yeah it it it really is um I was going to say disconcerting but
100. 15:41it's not disconcerting it's really it's this weird combination of shocking and refreshing right cuz I feel like we've been we've been told
101. 15:56for um we've been told for a decade that AI chat Bots were going to be these amazing things and then we got Alexa and we got
102. 16:06Siri and and if we want to buy some [ __ ] or if we want to you know run automations on our Macs then they're
103. 16:13okay but if you actually want to talk to them they're useless so let me let me flip my I'm not going to flip the camera
104. 16:20um so I'm going to show you PI right now so I'm on my on my little iPad so this is the iOS version of Pi so I'm going to launch
105. 16:30it and then it shows you these are like little starting points things you can do with it but in the lower right hand
106. 16:36corner of the right next to the chat box is is that little telephone icon I don't know if you can see that but whatever so
107. 16:43I'm going to click on that and then Pi's going to go into conversation mode and I don't have to type anything I can I can
108. 16:48literally just start talking to it hey there I'm talking to to a bunch of nurses who are getting into Ai and
109. 17:02I'm wondering if you could come up with some ideas for how nurses might use something like Pi or chat GPT to make their lives [Music]
110. 17:17easier hey here are some ideas of how nurses can use AI to streamline their work and make life a bit easier
111. 17:23automatic documentation AI can help nurses automatically document patient information such as Vital Signs and
112. 17:31medications in real time um drug interaction checking AI can quickly check for potential drug interactions and alert nurses to potential
113. 17:42risks patient engagement AI can be used to send patients automated reminders about appointments medications and health education
114. 17:52materials clinical decision support AI can help nurses make datadriven decisions and Rec recommendations by
115. 17:59analyzing patient data and providing clinical insights in general AI can help nurses work more efficiently reduce
116. 18:08errors and provide better patient care what if they just wanted to have a conversation with you to take their mind off things and [Music]
117. 18:22relax oh that's a super sweet idea I think that could definitely be a wonderful way for nurses to d-stress so
118. 18:30notice notice how it's programmed it you know oh I think that would be a super sweet idea oh let's you know let's let's
119. 18:38help you with that it's there's there's just something there's something compassionate and really interesting
120. 18:44about it so that's pie okay let's keep moving through the list get ready to do some screenshotting I'm an I'm an EMT by
121. 18:51trade and AI has me very ex very excited yeah I listen I I think once you move once you move past the initial sort of
122. 19:01freakout of wait what is this stuff what can it do um as you'll see you know you you may have your Kevin McAllister
123. 19:09moment with AI which is this one and kind of once you once you process through that um it starts to get
124. 19:19quite exciting and and what I'm what I'm experiencing on the live here is a lot of people that keep coming back night
125. 19:26after night watching their evolution is really really exciting so anyway all right cool so if you want to make pretty
126. 19:34pictures you you see you know all your friends and you know sending out these cool pictures on LinkedIn and Facebook
127. 19:40and things like that well how are they doing that they're doing it with one of these um one of the things you get when
128. 19:45you pay the 20 bucks for chat GPT is you get Dolly 3 which is um very very high quality image generation within chat GPT what's nice
129. 19:57about it is is you don't have to learn image prompting like you don't have to learn like all the photographic Styles
130. 20:03and camera lenses and whatever all all the stuff that you need to learn to be a good image prompter you don't need to
131. 20:10learn with this you can just ask it to make stuff and it will do the prompting for you it's it's quite amazing and in
132. 20:15fact all the images that you know I show in here uh most of these are things that I didn't even make so we've got a
133. 20:23Discord for this thing called the AI Salon which I'm going to talk about and a lot of the Irregulars who are the people that show up here
134. 20:32regularly and they've nicknamed themselves the Irregulars um we actually hang out on Discord uh with a lot of
135. 20:40other of the community called the AI salon and so they make these images so as I'm talking we'll come up with a joke
136. 20:46they'll make the images I show the images here it's a lot of fun um so all of these were done in Del and so all of
137. 20:53these were done not not so much with prompting an image but just kind of saying hey I kind of like an image it
138. 20:58looks like this which is prompting but um you just basically give it an idea and it does the actual prompting of the
139. 21:05image so it's a very very smooth process and I'll show that so anyway that's Dolly um the the other big deal here is mid
140. 21:16Journey if you want high quality art mid Journey still kind of King of the Hill um but very much being challenged by
141. 21:23Dolly 3 Leonardo also impressive it's a website that sits on top of this thing called stable diffusion and then if you
142. 21:31work for a company that's a little skittery about you know legal stuff uh then I'm having weird electrical things
143. 21:40like the lights are blinking and my phone just flashed so if I blast out of here it's probably just because we just
144. 21:49had snow here in Denver so I don't know what's going on can you still hear me am I still live can you hit the the heart
145. 21:55heart like double tap the screen so I can see if the there's so so I can see if you still love me okay all right there's aart all right
146. 22:06there we go listen it's not that I'm insecure but if you could just make the hearts make a lot of Hearts go just so I could I if I
147. 22:15don't see the hearts going I think you hate me I I really do um okay oh yeah the other thing I should Fair warn you
148. 22:23about is I do act like an idiot here so so fair warning um but anyway if you're in a in a corporate situation thank you very much

150. 22:43good thank you Nancy Firefly is really good for corporate situations good it's basically safe for for corporate stuff

152. 22:58um these are the video creation ones on the left- hand side Runway Moon Valley and pabs are all kind of the same thing
153. 23:05um they obviously won't think think so cuz you know it's their companies but but they're all similar text to video or
154. 23:13image to video yeah there's something weird going on with the electric here um so well we'll see we'll see how long I
155. 23:20last um uh Visa will help you make like corporate videos with voiceovers and background music and then H Jen and did
156. 23:29will do synthesized uh like voice synthesis where you can take a picture that you make in um Dolly 3 or mid
157. 23:38Journey you put it into haen or did and it animates the mouth and syncs it to voice it's it's pretty amazing stuff um
158. 23:47let's see Rudy I made some mind-blowing programs with my python knowledge and AI um I captured deals off multiple
159. 23:56somethings super cool yeah one of the things that's really cool about these tools is you can take whatever you're
160. 24:03good at or whatever you're passionate about and it can really amplify your capabilities very very quickly so you do sites you reword with
161. 24:13AI it generates images creates articles and uploads to my site with a featured image that's super cool very very cool
162. 24:22um it if it looks like I'm in some stroboscopic disco that's because my lamp the the power going to the lamp
163. 24:30in front of me is just it's like dimming and going so so if if I seem distracted it's just because I'm [Laughter]

168. 25:10me as I'm as I'm doing this so I'm free to free to just do my thing so it makes makes a big difference okay um those are

172. 25:40generate music out of nothing text to music um two different approaches to it that are both kind of interesting and
173. 25:47then um 3D worlds blockade labs and wonder Dynamics those are just screenshot that and go play with those those are fun and then

175. 26:04out um Ethan mullock is a Wharton business school Professor um doing deep Dives on chat GPT the implications for
176. 26:13education and the future of work really good David Shapiro is a technologist he's written five books on AGI which
177. 26:21stands for artificial general intelligence if you if you're a geek if you're an engineer I would strongly
178. 26:27suggest you follow him or if you're interested in kind of the future of AI he does these presentations on a weekly
179. 26:34basis about what's coming like what are the implications that are really really compelling so if you want to get
180. 26:40technical you can do that in his open source projects but also just his thought leadership is pretty remarkable
181. 26:46hang on this light is driving me [Music] crazy yeah it ain't the light bulb I don't think I think think it's the
182. 26:59electricity the electricity all right Paul rer is the marketing AI Institute so if you're in business follow Paul he
183. 27:07does a weekly podcast that's very much worth it and then Rachel Woods is very much is into AI operations all right so that's all that
184. 27:15stuff now I mentioned before oh you know what I didn't do I'll do it next time um I mentioned before this community called the AI
185. 27:26salon so so this is a group that I put together it's coming up on our one-year anniversary and and the URL if you want to go get

193. 28:50cool really into this ai ai stuff totally totally enamored with it like I am um and so so she's speaking and then

209. 31:03right now anything you learn today is going to be irrelevant 3 months from now anyway um so just share everyone's
210. 31:10trying to figure this out no one's got a a handle on it right now so so just be generous so that's that's one of the
211. 31:16values um the next one is exploration um just get curious like choose to be on this adventure rather than be afraid of
212. 31:24it be like well screw it like this stuff's coming whether we want it or not that's part of the point of this channel
213. 31:30is this stuff's coming well actually this stuff's here and it's not going away so whether you like it or not pay

215. 31:50really exciting inclusion people from all walks of life are in there whether you're a beginner or like we've got Pate who works at
216. 31:58Google who's on this channel a lot he's in there he's got a guild called the AI mechanics Guild if you want to geek out
217. 32:04on stuff or learn about how this stuff works pate and Roger run that Guild um you know whether you're brand new or
218. 32:13super Advanced everyone in between you're all welcome and then the final one is empathy empathy for me is I think the
219. 32:21the most important of the values just simply because this stuff's scary this this AI stuff because it's so profoundly
220. 32:29different than the way we've done things up to this point um people a little wigged out by it all right I'm turning
221. 32:37this off it's getting worse and worse I think it might be going now but see now what's happening with that light

319. 49:52could probably do is you could certainly use something like chat gbt or llama to help you optimize um open

384. 1:00:28and and and team that up with different Services um I don't think there's a simple way to make a really functional
385. 1:00:35Jarvis right now without programming um but chat GPT will do the programming for you right so you could say hey I want to
386. 1:00:46I want to combine you know gp4 conversational skills with a series of interactions with like with like a
387. 1:00:55Raspberry Pi you know to to control my my home you know devices and I want you to teach me how to do that and it'll
388. 1:01:03teach you how to do it you put put chat GPT into browse with Bing mode so it's connected to the internet and it can
389. 1:01:10find all the latest documentation I would think if you spent a week with chat PT and a and a Raspberry Pi and you know

462. 1:15:01exercise so we've got what have we got here we've got the overview meticulous RX is set to redefine Pharmacy the

596. 1:38:36each of the two images and so it gave me these two stunning look at that like haunting weird right and I thought well like I don't
597. 1:38:48like him looking at the camera so I said can you make two more oh wait no two more they they were a little flat for me
598. 1:38:53I like a little more higher contrast so then it did higher contrast with more film grain look at that and then I said can you make
