16. 4:41the on the Ticky talk I got that from Corey Sandler calls it the T Ticky talk every time I hear it it cracks me
17. 4:52up it's like it's like us gen xers just [ __ ] trying to deal with the [ __ ] is is going on with [Laughter]
18. 5:10technology oh man I actually saw a couple of cool things today I want to share tonight and talk about it's funny they're all kind of
19. 5:21related there's an interesting we are about to enter a really interesting age where I think anyone in any kind of
20. 5:40professional I almost think it's anyone I think we're all going to need talent [Laughter]
21. 5:55agents I think that over the next year or two we as individuals are going to increasingly understand the
22. 6:09value of our intellectual property and our likeness which is in a lot of ways intellectual
23. 6:24property but like our work output like we write a bunch of stuff that that stuff not only can be shared as
24. 6:34writing but it's going to be able to be turned into lots of other things and like all my little Tik toks
25. 6:41here are going to be able to be turned into other things and any little thing that you record or create is going to be able to turn turn
26. 6:50in turn turn into little things and then and then I think we increasingly go well wait a minute if I do if I do one of these things at work
27. 7:04when I leave that job do I get to keep my character that I created for my little persona for teaching people how to use whatever the product
28. 7:15was remember when Steven colar when he was doing the the colar report the coar report and he and he left where was that
29. 7:28Comedy Central and he couldn't take it with him so he had to kind of start over at the new show at the daily at the late
30. 7:36night our pets will need agents too champy certainly needs a [ __ ] agent at this point but anyway the stuff the stuff I

33. 8:09model you can make money with and then in looking at the comments of that post I found another tool called
34. 8:17narrative which does the same thing it was funny the the CEO of oh thank you very much Tracy the CEO of
35. 8:25narrative like there was a nasty Graham comment they deleted my comment cuz they're afraid of the competition I was like well go look at the
36. 8:33competition he was very bitter about it that always makes me funny when you see bitter insecurity in the tech tech tech world you know what
37. 8:44are you going to do and then on the AI Salon digital Gods Lord digital Gods as you well know Lord digital Gods discovered a new thing in
38. 8:56Adobe Express called audio animate with audio where you can just record some audio you pick a character record some audio and it makes some
39. 9:06stuff wow lunar stick I hit my goal of building 100 gpts in 100 days early 105 105 gpts that's
40. 9:23amazing I mean I build them in here a fair amount I don't I think I'm probably only up to 30 or something like that and
41. 9:29of those there's maybe five that I'm interested in you know that I think have any value at all hey Rudy what's

80. 15:11in he came in just saying just sort of like just negative [ __ ] and it was clear he didn't use the stuff very much so I
81. 15:20kind of made it my point to show him all the [ __ ] that he probably didn't know about what's up with Gemini good or
82. 15:26bad oh Jesse from Austin I wish it were better um it's not bad the image generation in it is pretty
83. 15:42bad the word stuff and the coding stuff seems pretty good um it does not have a lot of the multimodal stuff they promised it
84. 15:53doesn't have any of the new interface stuff that they showed so it's just kind of like chat gp4 if chat gp4 didn't have code
85. 16:04interpreter and if Dolly sucked and if GPT Vision was kind of weird like there's just weird [ __ ] like
86. 16:14like you know in in chat gbt they give you the four prompted questions and you just click on one and it does the thing
87. 16:21well one of their prompted question was upload an image and create a CSS color table based on the colors of this IM
88. 16:28image and so I did that and I uploaded an image and it didn't grab any of the colors from the image it just it just
89. 16:39made up what the image was it said yeah there's here's the Blues from the sky and the greens from the grass and the
90. 16:46image that I uploaded did had neither sky nor grass so the just weird weird stuff you know like like it hasn't been
91. 16:54tested much or something I don't know what it I don't know what the deal is um I was rooting I was rooting for Google
92. 17:03to have something that really competed with chat GPT I think we need I think we need a competitor out there that's
93. 17:10that's as good or better than than chat GPT and we don't have one right now said go to canva oh yeah yeah
94. 17:18Danielle yeah at one point um I asked it to um visualize a logo for me and it said I should go to canva and then it
95. 17:27told someone else they should use Del to make images cuz it kind of forgets that it can make images it's weird it's weird
96. 17:34it's just it's just not ready it's not ready that's that's that's what it is it's going to be fine it's just not fine right now which is a

99. 18:02people what a GPT is okay so here we are chat GPT which if you haven't seen it before this is what it looks like you can sort
100. 18:12of click on these pre-written questions and you know if you don't want to figure out your own [ __ ] there's also two
101. 18:18different versions of chat GPT there's um well here they're called GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 in your um let's see how do I switch out of
102. 18:37here oh my plan in your in your account um if you go to my plan the gp4 is actually called plus there's also team but you don't need to
103. 18:50worry about team unless you're part of a uh an organization and you want to deal with that and I can talk about that but but
104. 18:58the 20 bucks a month for GPT plus if you want to create gpts you have to be a GPT plus member if you want to use gpts you
105. 19:08have to be a GPT plus member we're at 15,000 likes already 15,000 is that right yeah crazy you guys are nuts
106. 19:21um in my not so humble opinion the chat GPT Plus subscription is is the best deal in software okay now why is that
107. 19:33I'm going to I'm going to do a quick bounce over to um the AI salon and I'm going to go to a little section called AI tools and
108. 19:44resources so this is a big long list of AI tools that I think are worth your time to explore and and this is a this
109. 19:54is a very um this is by no means means a comprehensive list at all this started as three tools and it's just kind of
110. 20:03expanded what I can promise you is anything on this list is not a waste of your time it it's at least good to know
111. 20:09what's coming at the very top of the list for the past year has been chat GPT the free version of chat GPT chat
112. 20:18GPT 3.5 or just you know chat. open.com the one you don't pay for is super fast it's really good um it's you you can do
113. 20:28these things called custom instructions where you can kind of fine-tune it to have a a personality or write like you
114. 20:33write or or you know act like someone or you know behave a certain way it's also got conversational uh chat GPT if you
115. 20:42download the chat GPT app the official chat GPT app from open Ai and then if you pay the 20 bucks you get all that plus you get dramatically
116. 20:54better writing document analysis and coding like the quality of the model no one's even come close to it yet Bart
117. 21:03Bart has actually come close to it but no one's beating it um it's got internet access with Bing it's got this thing called code
118. 21:13interpreter where it can it it can do Advanced Data analysis by writing and executing its own python code it's
119. 21:20remarkable it's got this thing called GPT Vision where you can upload images and it can see them so you could upload
120. 21:26a picture of of your car you're trying to sell on Craigslist and say write me a Craigslist ad and describe this and it will
121. 21:36um you can upload a picture of a whiteboard and it will read the Whiteboard and tell you everything about
122. 21:43it like I've got a demo I do on that that's just mindblowing um then it's got dolly3 image generation and then it's got
123. 21:51create and share custom gpts which takes us back to what's a GPT Okay so it can do all that sort of stuff so I can say um make me a table

125. 22:21bourbon so if you if you've never played with chat GPT before I would strongly encourage even if you're not paying the
126. 22:2820 bucks just go there and start playing do do what I call parlor tricks ask it to write a song ask it to write a poem
127. 22:36ask it to write a social media post about some obscure topic ask it to explain a really complicated topic as if
128. 22:43you are a 5-year-old all that sort of stuff ask it to write you code just watch what it can do it can do a
129. 22:50lot so it's kind of think of think of chat GPT is a Swiss army knife of language you can ask it to do things
130. 22:59it's been trained on as much of the public internet as open AI could get their hands on so it knows a lot so if
131. 23:09you think how much crap was dumped on the internet in the past 40 30 30 years 30 40 50 years depending on where you draw the boundary it's a
132. 23:21lot it's on every topic on every you know um you know every computer language just every it's everything every Wikipedia article every
133. 23:32blog post every right all that sort of stuff so it kind of knows all that and it's like a Swiss army knife now so
134. 23:40what's a GPT so if you if you have chat GPT 4 running over here in the lefthand column you've got this thing that says explore
135. 23:49gpts this is what open AI um generously calls the GPT store it's not really a store um but they call it that it's it's this is a a a
136. 24:03directory and they've got trending gpts and they've got here's here's ones from open AI themselves and then here's ones that
137. 24:14are focused on Del here's writing ones here's productivity ones here's research and Analysis ones so what a GPT is is a
138. 24:23very specialized so if if chat GPT is the Swiss Army knife a GPT is like the cork screw So speaking of cork screws
139. 24:33let's go to the very first GPT I ever made called the Sin City sipper so so if you go to explore gpts
140. 24:41and type in Sin City sipper you can play with this what's cool about gpts is they're they're a very specialized
141. 24:49customized version of GPT that you can make and I'm going to show you how to make them right now it's they're so
142. 24:55they're they're like stupidly easy to make and you can share them you can share them with the world you just copy the
143. 25:07URL for this thing and you can share it with your friends and and you know you can do really amazing things lunatick
144. 25:13before who said who's made 105 of these things one of the ones that she made that is is just super inspiring to me
145. 25:20she she was in politics for a long time and got got burned out on it and and so she made a GPT on the writings and
146. 25:29things written about Alexander Hamilton and so she's got this GPT where you can interact with Hamilton and talk about politics and
147. 25:39have like a conversation about politics that like uses his writings as the knowledge base so like you're virtually interacting with him it's
148. 25:51remarkable sinity sipper is not quite that high brow but but what what cinity sipper is is it it'll come up with drink recipes
149. 26:02for you right it'll take a classic drink recipe and um and create a new one so wait where are oh we're coming up on Valentine's Day I'd like
150. 26:17a lovely and original mocktail we'll do mocktail cuz some people people don't drink mocktail for
151. 26:33Valentine's Day that will make everyone fall in love again all right so let's see what SIM
152. 26:48Sin City sipper comes up with it's called Cupid's blush I thought at first it said Cupid's Bush I'm glad it didn't Cupid's
153. 27:03blush mocktail a cup of fresh strawberries Haled and haved Rose Water for that floral hint a tablespoon of honey or agave syrup a
154. 27:16lime ginger ale uh ice cubes and then some rose petals so muddle the strawberries mix The Rose water and the

160. 28:23what's amazing about them is that you've got essentially the full power of chat gp4 you can you can you can have them use code interpreter
161. 28:34which means you could have someone upload a CSV file and then you do some data analysis on it you know based on
162. 28:42your expertise and and it'll just do that you can have it make pictures you can have it be connected to the internet
163. 28:48so you could create a news I've done I've done these before where it's a like a PR professional that will go get the latest
164. 28:55news on a certain company and and then talk about the news from that company from a PR perspective which is kind of
165. 29:02fun so that's that's what they are um how do you make them so you go back to explore gpts you're on this little
166. 29:12page right here in in the upper right hand corner there's that create button and it drops you to this
167. 29:21page it defaults to the configure tab on the left where you can name it give it a description write your prompt write any
168. 29:29starter questions if you've got files to upload you can do that so that could be like maybe you've written a book
169. 29:37on I don't know um managing little league baseball teams you could upload the PDF of your book and then this thing
170. 29:45could be an interactive version of your book right and then you can turn on and off the capabilities on the right hand side this
171. 29:54is where the GPT will be built now if if your eyes are already glazing over and you're like but Kyle I don't know I

175. 30:30GPT as the interface to make custom gpts which is super cool it basically means you don't have to know any
176. 30:39programming at all it just does it for you so the hardest thing is coming up with let's see what do they

178. 31:10remedies all right so so what basically what you do is you just tell it you want you tell it you want a GPT that does
179. 31:16something so I'm going to I'm going to say I'm just going to use some voice dictation stuff here uh I want to create a GPT

181. 31:49household fixes period I can't remember what those things are called so maybe you can help me when we come up with with the name and that's

288. 51:26and it says to verify ownership of the domain navigate to your DNS provider so basically Go Daddy or you know whoever
289. 51:36you bought your domain from and you need to go into the DNS records and add a txt record a text record txt and then you copy and paste this
290. 51:49into it and then update the DNS and it may take it you know you know a couple hours to to propagate is what they call

389. 1:07:27about ourselves and then I pasted all that crap in and so there's all of our values and
390. 1:07:41right and then I went I'd like to make 16 by 9 wide images so that's like
391. 1:07:58the you know like like a TV screen 16 by9 wide images of each value
392. 1:08:14please describe five different visuals styles that might be
393. 1:08:28appropriate and I will choose one to explore so the first thing I did was I I I I know that sometimes chat GPT will go
394. 1:08:41into like really cliche kind of looks and feels and so the first thing I had it do was I said you know just describe steampunk
395. 1:08:53Explorer style digital Frontier style minimalist geometric style nature meets technology style and retr futuristic collage style
396. 1:09:05actually let's let's explore that so I'm going to say let's see show me two steampunk Explorer and five retro
397. 1:09:16futuristic I'm going to say I like two and five can you make an image in each of
398. 1:09:30those for the first value and this is literally how I did it oh and I and I think I even made this mistake the mistake that I just made is
399. 1:09:43I want it to include the name of the value on the image and so it's going to create an image it's so bad compared to chat GPT
400. 1:09:53for it's not even funny I assumed you're talking about Gemini G Gemini it's uh it's special on the image
401. 1:10:08front so there's the steampunk what was it steampunk retro or steampunk Explorer style that's kind of cool right all the Explorer
402. 1:10:22paraphernalia there's steampunk Explorer and retro futuristic yeah collage cool so those
403. 1:10:40are cool so so retro futuristics a little busy but what I'm going to do um I forgot I want the
404. 1:10:54value in large bold letters at the top of the image create both again with the
405. 1:11:10word in there and if you haven't really explored Dolly 3 in in this kind of way where you're starting with a
406. 1:11:27conversation right so I took all of the writing that explained what the what the salon was all about thank you digital Gods Lord digital
407. 1:11:40Gods oh that's right thanks Brandon so there's curiosity and it spelled it wrong which is that's part of the charm
408. 1:11:46of the the era that we're in right now so I'd probably do you know do that but this idea of being able to
409. 1:11:55create images not not just like you go to an image program and you make images but you're like having a conversation about
410. 1:12:05a project or a marketing plan like that one's really cool love that it's spelled curiosity wrong but like that's a really
411. 1:12:14cool style right so like that could be something that we explore so that's how I did the Brandon brought up brought up a good point
412. 1:12:28so I want you to join the salon here's the other thing about the salon we've got this online community which is awesome excuse
413. 1:12:36me we also have um it's coming to me meetings every other Tuesday we have a
414. 1:12:50meeting where we bring in a speaker and we you know know we get to meet each other we get to talk um share
415. 1:12:57ideas talk about new technologies that have come up and we'll bring in a speaker and the the speaker that uh is
416. 1:13:05speaking tomorrow is a guy named PJ lochran um I worked with him for years at agency.com he's since gone on to to
417. 1:13:13do just remarkable remarkable stuff he's an incredibly multi-talented man um he's written songs for Martin sexon he's he's
418. 1:13:23an incredible musician he's incredible artist he's an illustrator and a published you published illustrator um
419. 1:13:30and he's a hell of an entrepreneur and and started a lot of agencies and creative groups and his his current
420. 1:13:38company damn it I joined with my real name well real name's good so one of the other things we encourage in the salon
421. 1:13:46is to join with your real name um because we want to get to know each other oh there's also I'm going to show
422. 1:13:51you something cool in here someone else I think Brandon might even pointed this out or someone else did there's there's
423. 1:13:56an amazing feature in the AI Salon that I don't think a lot of people know about what's the deal with chat GPT spelling
424. 1:14:05wrong it's so weird so the amethyst Gwen the nature of how um images are created is is has got a similar component to it to to how chat
425. 1:14:20BT generates words where in neither case is the tool aware of what the tool created um so there's just sort of this
426. 1:14:31large amalgamation of words in math space and when you ask chat GPT to write something it just writes um a bunch of
427. 1:14:39words using probability for each word um it has no idea what it actually wrote so when when they talk about Chach GPT
428. 1:14:47hallucinating or lying that's why cuz it's not actually conscious of what it's writing similarly the image generation
429. 1:14:54tools are not aware of what they're writing they're taking a bunch of images that have been noised turned into like
430. 1:15:01random noise patterns and then they sort of smash them all together and average them into a single noisy image and then
431. 1:15:08over like 50 steps it Den noises that image so the fact that they they do letters at all and that they spell right
432. 1:15:17even occasionally is kind of a minor miracle um as we move through 20 24 these tools are going to start to gain
433. 1:15:26um capabilities like reasoning where they can actually go back and look at what they've created and fix things like
434. 1:15:33that so the misspellings as maddening as they are right now are going to be kind of quaint when everything gets perfect
435. 1:15:40which might be 2 to three years aware what do you mean it's not aware the algorithm is aware of the text it's not aware enough of the text
436. 1:15:53text to know if it got it right or wrong though or it wouldn't hallucinate it would go back and fix it so that's what
437. 1:16:04I'm talking about that it's it's generating it you know in a in a stream of Consciousness where it's not aware of
438. 1:16:16what it wrote after it wrote it now maybe I don't know something Pate P Pate is good at educating edating
439. 1:16:23on if I'm getting stuff wrong so if I'm getting something wrong let me know but I I don't think I'm wrong on that piece
440. 1:16:32um all hail the AI over overlords the AI is perfect just in case you're watching wind riters got the right idea

493. 1:25:18like it's a lot more um this is a lot more baked than 11 Labs I don't know what technology they're using on the back end I haven't finished

498. 1:26:21here and I said I want you to give me a short script for each of these types of content to record based on the tone of
499. 1:26:30voice you have here I'm I'm in a a GPT that's sampled on my writing so I want to use the tone of my voice from my GPT
500. 1:26:39and then I just pasted in the you know steady flat pitch the advertising the happy right I just pasted in all these different things
501. 1:26:53and then it started writing a script and they were a little short so I interrupted it and I said make them
502. 1:27:00longer and so you know the steady flat pitch consider the march of progress where technology and human Ingenuity

515. 1:28:44phrases and they're going to have all the different phonemes that that make up words and it's going to be brilliant and
516. 1:28:51then I had it say my words and it was it was awful it was it was way worse than 11 Labs so 11 Labs right now still the
517. 1:29:01best so so that's that one and then this Adobe Express thing so this is the one that Lord digital Gods pointed

653. 1:55:47to interview other people and get a similar kind of video what questions would you ask them so it does all of

682. 2:01:59problem with the tool right now is it's kind of in an alpha stage it's not it's not really ready for prime time
683. 2:02:09um the the first customers that we end up selling that to we're probably going to also sell sort of C some output
684. 2:02:20development because even though I think that these outputs are good someone else is going to go well I want it like that
685. 2:02:27but I don't want that kind of thing I want it like this and I want my URL in it I want this and I want that and I
686. 2:02:32want that so until the tool is sophisticated enough to do [ __ ] like that then you know if you work for a big
687. 2:02:41company with with budgets I'm happy to talk but I don't like at this point it's just not it's just not at a stage that

702. 2:05:03to be disappointed we've got this thing close actually this thing I'm actually really happy with it it does surprisingly well
703. 2:05:13on short content and long content um but even still it kind of Janks out so we made everything editable
704. 2:05:24because got to be able to edit the [ __ ] that it makes sometimes but it really it really is cool like it's it's an amazing tool to
705. 2:05:33be able to just grab a video like like we have a client right now that gave us three videos storyvine videos tend to be
706. 2:05:42between 1 and five minutes they're relatively short and because we sort of break them into modules before we capture them we
707. 2:05:53already know what the chapters are like the whole point of Story vine is to chapiz a story before you capture it and
708. 2:05:59just capture the chapters basically the modules and so what this tool does is it reverse Engineers a video and it re
709. 2:06:07chapiz it right so you could so our client we said give us example videos between one and five minutes long and
710. 2:06:15give us two of them and they give us three that are all 14 minutes plus just like come on you [ __ ] but we uploaded the 14-minute
711. 2:06:28videos it chapter IES them beautifully and it's it's really cool it it modularizes them and makes them infinitely reusable and remixable and
