0:05 [Music] 0:29 ready 0:32 [Music] 0:59 oh 1:05 [Music] 1:21 what trying for a rap career now there's 1:23 no 1:24 rapping there's no rapping in singer 1:29 songwriter 1:30 [Music] 1:41 [Applause] 1:43 [Music] 1:55 he is wound up tonight he is wound up 2:08 [Music] 2:29 yeah 2:34 [Music] 2:52 he's 2:53 [Music] 2:59 done 3:03 [Music] 3:09 Freedom came my way that 3:15 night just like a jet plane in and out 3:19 of 3:21 side I was hauling as a million miles an 3:25 hour wonder how hard I'd here 3:32 when they came into the 3:37 [Music] 3:38 station they said I was bad Beyond 3:44 repairs but I got no quals with my 3:50 situation say here I 3:54 [Music] 3:59 am 4:00 say Shere Shere Shere won't you dare 4:05 to all right good folks 4:09 [Music] 4:18 hello welcome to the AI learning lab we 4:21 weren't here last night it just it was a 4:24 whole I was going to come and then the 4:26 Super Bowl went on and I was expecting 4:28 the Super Bowl quite frankly to be a bit 4:30 of a 4:31 boore and it was actually a good game 4:33 and then went overtime and then my boys 4:35 were it doesn't matter I just I couldn't 4:37 I life 4:39 intervened so we were not live here on 4:41 the on the Ticky 4:43 talk I got that 4:45 from Corey Sandler calls it the T Ticky 4:49 talk every time I hear it it cracks me 4:52 up it's like it's like us gen 4:55 xers just [ __ ] trying to deal with 4:59 the [ __ ] is is going on with 5:01 [Laughter] 5:10 technology oh man I actually saw a 5:13 couple of cool things today I want to 5:16 share 5:17 tonight and talk about it's funny 5:19 they're all kind of 5:21 related there's an 5:26 interesting we are about to enter a 5:29 really interesting age 5:33 where I 5:34 think anyone in any kind of 5:40 professional I almost think it's 5:47 anyone I think we're all going to need 5:49 talent 5:50 [Laughter] 5:55 agents I think that over the next year 5:59 or two 6:03 we as individuals are going to 6:05 increasingly understand the 6:09 value 6:13 of our intellectual 6:16 property and our 6:20 likeness which is in a lot of ways 6:23 intellectual 6:24 property but like our work 6:27 output like we write a bunch of stuff 6:30 that that stuff not only can be shared 6:33 as 6:34 writing but it's going to be able to be 6:36 turned into lots of other 6:39 things and like all my little Tik toks 6:42 here are going to be able to be turned 6:43 into other things 6:45 and any little thing that you record or 6:48 create is going to be able to turn turn 6:50 in turn turn into little 6:56 things and then and then I think we 6:59 increasingly go well wait a minute if I 7:01 do if I do one of these things at work 7:04 when I leave that job do I get to keep 7:07 my character that I created for my 7:08 little persona for teaching people how 7:11 to use whatever the product 7:16 was remember when Steven colar when he 7:19 was doing the the colar 7:21 report the coar 7:24 report and he and he left where was that 7:28 Comedy Central and he couldn't take it 7:30 with him so he had to kind of start over 7:32 at the new show at the daily at the late 7:37 night our pets will need agents too 7:39 champy certainly needs a [ __ ] agent 7:41 at this 7:45 point but anyway the stuff the stuff I 7:48 want to show you tonight is kind of 7:49 related to that 11 Labs today just came 7:52 out with a a thing for voiceover actors 7:56 that says hey upload at least 30 minutes 7:58 of audio 8:00 of you being a voiceover actor set your 8:03 price and let people use your 8:09 model you can make money 8:13 with and then in looking at the comments 8:15 of that post I found another tool called 8:18 narrative which does the same thing it 8:20 was funny the the CEO of oh thank you 8:22 very much Tracy the CEO of 8:25 narrative like there was a nasty Graham 8:28 comment they deleted my comment cuz 8:30 they're afraid of the competition I was 8:32 like well go look at the 8:34 competition he was very bitter about it 8:37 that always makes me 8:39 funny when you see bitter insecurity in 8:41 the tech tech tech world you know what 8:45 are you going to 8:46 do and then on the AI Salon digital Gods 8:51 Lord digital Gods as you well know Lord 8:54 digital Gods discovered a new thing in 8:56 Adobe Express called audio animate with 9:00 audio where you can just record some 9:02 audio you pick a character record some 9:04 audio and it makes some 9:07 stuff wow lunar stick I hit my goal of 9:10 building 100 gpts in 100 days early 9:17 105 105 9:20 gpts that's 9:23 amazing I mean I build them in here a 9:26 fair amount I don't I think I'm probably 9:27 only up to 30 or something like that and 9:30 of those there's maybe five that I'm 9:33 interested in you know that I think have 9:35 any value at all hey Rudy what's 9:37 happening thank you very much sir 9:40 congrats on the new 9:42 gig Mr it has 28 9:45 gpts Ronald H Haan is like what's a gbt 9:50 what am I missing has she made a 100 9:53 how's she do a 100 I don't even know 9:54 what this damn thing is what do I do 9:57 with my life am I late am I late 9:59 everyone's passing me by aren't 10:03 they you're gonna be okay Robert we got 10:06 you just keep showing up here we'll 10:07 teach you what a GPT is we'll we'll 10:11 we'll get you to build one tonight how 10:12 do you build a GPT why don't we start 10:14 with 10:15 that Roberto we'll start Roberto not 10:18 Robert um why don't we start with 10:22 building a GPT tonight we'll we'll tell 10:24 you what they 10:26 are we'll build one together um if if 10:29 you want to build one you're going to 10:31 have to get a GP chat GPT Plus account 10:34 if you want to build one but you can 10:35 just watch if you 10:36 want but if you have a chat GPT Plus 10:39 account and you haven't built a GPT you 10:41 should build one if for no other reason 10:44 get competitive you're like Luna stick's 10:46 done 10:47 105 what the hell is with her name 10:49 lunatick is this like Moon comedian 10:52 what's going on with that the answer is 10:55 yes 10:56 um she's just amazing and so you're 10:59 you're going to have to catch up with 11:00 her so get competitive just that's 11:03 that's listen that's your [ __ ] issue 11:05 to deal with not 11:07 mine but I'll teach you how to make your 11:09 first GPT and I've been randomly giving 11:12 suggestions to Paul Allen for his AI 11:16 Adventures is AI Ventures cuz I built 11:19 similar that's actually cool if that's 11:21 if that's what you're actually doing 11:22 that's super 11:23 cool oh Roberto and Ronald oh both of 11:26 them were asking about gpts well we got 11:27 to help the the r names see we we we try 11:31 to get through the all the different 11:32 names of the alphabet lunatick came 11:34 earlier so we got her up to speed in the 11:39 L's and her name's actually Daisy so she 11:43 probably snuck into the D's you know so 11:47 you're in the RS of course you're behind 11:49 we do this alphabetically here 11:51 everything here's one thing you should 11:52 know about the AI learning lab very 11:54 logical we're very process oriented here 11:58 it's never random chaos wait no no sorry 12:03 strike that reverse it it's always 12:07 random chaos there's no process here but 12:10 anyway we'll get to Robert and Ronald 12:12 all 12:13 right um where do we want to start what 12:16 do we want to do my name's Kyle Shannon 12:20 welcome I've chased a bunch of people 12:24 away oh that's what we can start with 12:27 let's start with this if you've been 12:30 here before or if you haven't and think 12:32 this looks fun do me a favor share the 12:34 live we've got 79 people in here we were 12:37 up to like 117 and then Tik Tok does 12:39 that they'll sort of blast us out to a 12:41 bunch of people and then a lot of people 12:43 like check in and they're like is that 12:45 fat Alec Baldwin what's he talking oh AI 12:48 oh God I don't want to learn anything 12:49 and then they leave so share the live 12:53 ideally share it with someone who is uh 12:57 maybe cranky about AI 12:59 doesn't believe in it thinks it's 13:02 overhyped 13:05 um you know that sort of 13:07 thing someone who when you talk about AI 13:10 is like I don't want to talk about it 13:12 send it to 13:13 them or send it to you I doesn't matter 13:15 just send it just send it to people and 13:17 yeah and and tap the screen let's get 13:19 the get the likes going we're up to 13:21 we're up to 3,000 likes that's pretty 13:22 solid but you know we can get it going 13:24 let's let Tik Tock think that we're 13:27 actually having fun in here 13:29 cuz you know we're not going to right 13:31 like this is going to be dry be awful I 13:36 do want to learn so all right because 13:40 traffic we'll get you to 13:43 learn and then we'll uh I'll talk to you 13:46 about a cool Community called the AI 13:48 Salon that doesn't cost anything that 13:51 you can join a lot of the people that 13:53 are in here regularly digital Danny says 13:56 the goal needs to be 25,000 likes all 13:59 right digital Danny it it doesn't seem 14:02 very ambitious to me but you know all 14:04 right if you think we can get to 14:06 25,000 I think with this crowd we can 14:09 get there 14:12 quick all right let's hit 25,000 before 14:14 we are finished teaching 14:17 gpts 14:18 um so we'll start with that I'll talk to 14:21 you about the AI 14:23 Salon um if you have any questions about 14:26 AI pop pop any questions in the comments 14:28 below um I've got some of the Irregulars 14:31 in here the regular people that show up 14:32 are mods as well so they'll they'll 14:34 float your questions to the Top If it's 14:36 relevant part of the conversation Amanda 14:39 I had the flu for two weeks what did I 14:41 miss oh man you missed am Amanda you 14:45 missed we we had someone come in who was 14:48 aggressively skeptical about uh chat GPT 14:51 and I lost my [ __ ] um so I put a I put a 14:55 video up on my channel called the rant 14:57 where I took out the 10-minute 14:59 the 10-minute chunk where I was just 15:02 sort of yelling at 15:05 him and I just put it up as a 15:08 video but it was one of those things 15:10 where he came 15:12 in he came in just saying just sort of 15:15 like just negative [ __ ] and it was clear 15:17 he didn't use the stuff very much so I 15:21 kind of made it my point to show him all 15:23 the [ __ ] that he probably didn't know 15:24 about what's up with Gemini good or 15:26 bad oh Jesse from Austin I wish it were 15:31 better 15:37 um it's not bad the image generation in 15:40 it is pretty 15:42 bad the word stuff and the coding stuff 15:45 seems pretty 15:47 good 15:48 um it does not have a lot of the 15:51 multimodal stuff they promised it 15:53 doesn't have any of the new interface 15:55 stuff that they 15:57 showed so it's just kind of like chat 16:00 gp4 if chat gp4 didn't have code 16:05 interpreter and if Dolly 16:08 sucked and if GPT Vision was kind of 16:11 weird like there's just weird [ __ ] like 16:15 like you know in in chat gbt they give 16:17 you the four prompted questions and you 16:19 just click on one and it does the thing 16:21 well one of their prompted question was 16:23 upload an image and create a CSS color 16:26 table based on the colors of this IM 16:29 image and so I did that and I uploaded 16:33 an image and it didn't grab any of the 16:37 colors from the image it just it just 16:40 made up what the image was it said yeah 16:43 there's here's the Blues from the sky 16:45 and the greens from the grass and the 16:46 image that I uploaded did had neither 16:48 sky nor grass so the just weird weird 16:52 stuff you know like like it hasn't been 16:55 tested much or something I don't know 16:56 what it I don't know what the deal is um 17:01 I was rooting I was rooting for Google 17:04 to have something that really competed 17:06 with chat GPT I think we need I think we 17:09 need a competitor out there that's 17:10 that's as good or better than than chat 17:13 GPT and we don't have one right 17:16 now said go to canva oh yeah yeah 17:19 Danielle yeah at one point um I asked it 17:22 to um visualize a logo for me and it 17:26 said I should go to canva and then it 17:28 told someone else they should use Del to 17:30 make images cuz it kind of forgets that 17:32 it can make images it's weird it's weird 17:34 it's just it's just not ready it's not 17:36 ready that's that's that's what it is 17:38 it's going to be fine it's just not fine 17:41 right now which is a 17:42 drag all right let's jump in here let's 17:46 jump in and do this stuff I'm thinking 17:48 of canceling my subscription before the 17:49 free two months is over I I am too steo 17:52 quite 17:55 frankly I am too all right let let's go 17:59 to the let's go to the chat GPT and tell 18:02 people what a GPT is okay 18:05 so here we are chat 18:08 GPT which if you haven't seen it before 18:10 this is what it looks like you can sort 18:12 of click on these pre-written questions 18:14 and you know if you don't want to figure 18:16 out your own [ __ ] there's also two 18:18 different versions of chat GPT there's 18:22 um well here they're called GPT 3.5 and 18:25 GPT 4 in your 18:32 um let's see how do I switch out of 18:38 here oh my plan in your in your account 18:42 um if you go to my 18:44 plan the gp4 is actually called plus 18:49 there's also team but you don't need to 18:50 worry about team unless you're part of a 18:53 uh an organization and you want to deal 18:55 with that and I can talk about that but 18:58 but 18:59 the 20 bucks a month for GPT plus if you 19:02 want to create gpts you have to be a GPT 19:05 plus member if you want to use gpts you 19:08 have to be a GPT plus member we're at 19:11 15,000 likes already 15,000 is that 19:14 right yeah crazy you guys are 19:19 nuts 19:21 um in my not so humble opinion the chat 19:26 GPT Plus subscription is is the best 19:29 deal in software okay now why is that 19:33 I'm going to I'm going to do a quick 19:35 bounce over to um the AI salon and I'm 19:40 going to go to a little section called 19:42 AI tools and 19:44 resources so this is a big long list of 19:49 AI tools that I think are worth your 19:51 time to explore and and this is a this 19:54 is a very um this is by no means means a 19:59 comprehensive list at all this started 20:01 as three tools and it's just kind of 20:03 expanded what I can promise you is 20:05 anything on this list is not a waste of 20:07 your time it it's at least good to know 20:10 what's coming at the very top of the 20:12 list for the past year has been chat 20:15 GPT the free version of chat GPT chat 20:18 GPT 3.5 or just you know chat. open.com 20:22 the one you don't pay for is super fast 20:25 it's really good um it's you you can do 20:29 these things called custom instructions 20:30 where you can kind of fine-tune it to 20:32 have a a personality or write like you 20:34 write or or you know act like someone or 20:37 you know behave a certain way it's also 20:39 got conversational uh chat GPT if you 20:42 download the chat GPT app the official 20:46 chat GPT app from open 20:48 Ai and then if you pay the 20 bucks you 20:51 get all that plus you get dramatically 20:55 better writing document analysis and 20:57 coding like the quality of the model no 21:01 one's even come close to it yet Bart 21:03 Bart has actually come close to it but 21:06 no one's beating 21:07 it um it's got internet access with Bing 21:12 it's got this thing called code 21:13 interpreter where it can it it can do 21:15 Advanced Data analysis by writing and 21:18 executing its own python code it's 21:20 remarkable it's got this thing called 21:22 GPT Vision where you can upload images 21:25 and it can see them so you could upload 21:27 a picture of of your car you're trying 21:29 to sell on Craigslist and say write me a 21:31 Craigslist ad and describe this and it 21:35 will 21:37 um you can upload a picture of a 21:39 whiteboard and it will read the 21:41 Whiteboard and tell you everything about 21:43 it like I've got a demo I do on that 21:45 that's just 21:47 mindblowing um then it's got dolly3 21:49 image generation and then it's got 21:51 create and share custom gpts which takes 21:54 us back to what's a 21:56 GPT Okay so it can do all that sort of 21:59 stuff so I can say 22:02 um make me a table 22:07 comparing 22:09 compari 22:11 and 22:17 [Music] 22:22 bourbon so if you if you've never played 22:25 with chat GPT before I would strongly 22:27 encourage even if you're not paying the 22:29 20 bucks just go there and start playing 22:31 do do what I call parlor tricks ask it 22:34 to write a song ask it to write a poem 22:36 ask it to write a social media post 22:38 about some obscure topic ask it to 22:40 explain a really complicated topic as if 22:44 you are a 5-year-old all that sort of 22:46 stuff ask it to write you code just 22:49 watch what it can do it can do a 22:50 lot so it's kind of think of think of 22:54 chat GPT is a Swiss army knife of 22:58 language you can ask it to do things 23:00 it's been trained on as much of the 23:03 public internet as open AI could get 23:05 their hands on so it knows a lot so if 23:09 you think how much crap was dumped on 23:12 the internet in the past 40 30 30 years 23:15 30 40 50 years depending on where you 23:18 draw the 23:19 boundary it's a 23:21 lot it's on every topic on 23:25 every you know um you know every 23:29 computer language just every it's 23:31 everything every Wikipedia article every 23:33 blog post every right all that sort of 23:35 stuff so it kind of knows all that and 23:38 it's like a Swiss army knife now so 23:40 what's a GPT so if you if you have chat 23:44 GPT 4 23:46 running over here in the lefthand column 23:48 you've got this thing that says explore 23:50 gpts this is what open AI um generously 23:55 calls the GPT store it's not really a 23:58 store 23:59 um but they call it that it's it's this 24:01 is a a a 24:03 directory 24:06 and they've got trending gpts and 24:09 they've got here's here's ones from open 24:12 AI themselves and then here's ones that 24:15 are focused on Del here's writing ones 24:17 here's productivity ones here's research 24:20 and Analysis ones so what a GPT is is a 24:23 very specialized so if if chat GPT is 24:27 the Swiss Army knife a GPT is like the 24:30 cork screw So speaking of cork screws 24:33 let's go to the very first GPT I ever 24:36 made called the Sin City 24:38 sipper so so if you go to explore gpts 24:42 and type in Sin City sipper you can play 24:44 with this what's cool about gpts is 24:47 they're they're a very specialized 24:49 customized version of GPT that you can 24:52 make and I'm going to show you how to 24:53 make them right now it's they're so 24:55 they're they're like stupidly easy to 24:57 make 25:02 and you can share them you can share 25:05 them with the world you just copy the 25:07 URL for this thing and you can share it 25:09 with your friends and and you know you 25:10 can do really amazing things lunatick 25:13 before who said who's made 105 of these 25:16 things one of the ones that she made 25:18 that is is just super inspiring to me 25:21 she she was in politics for a long time 25:23 and got got burned out on it and and so 25:26 she made a GPT on the writings and 25:29 things written about Alexander 25:32 Hamilton and so she's got this GPT where 25:35 you can interact with 25:37 Hamilton and talk about politics and 25:40 have like a conversation about 25:43 politics that like uses his writings as 25:46 the knowledge base so like you're 25:48 virtually interacting with him it's 25:51 remarkable sinity sipper is not quite 25:54 that high 25:57 brow but but what what cinity sipper is 26:00 is it it'll come up with drink recipes 26:02 for you right it'll take a classic drink 26:05 recipe and 26:08 um and create a new one so wait where 26:11 are oh we're coming up on Valentine's 26:12 Day I'd 26:15 like 26:18 a lovely and 26:23 original mocktail we'll do mocktail cuz 26:27 some people people don't 26:29 drink 26:31 mocktail for 26:34 Valentine's Day 26:37 that will make 26:41 everyone fall in 26:44 love 26:45 again all right so let's see what SIM 26:49 Sin City sipper comes up with it's 26:52 called Cupid's blush I thought at first 26:54 it said Cupid's Bush I'm glad it didn't 27:02 Cupid's 27:04 blush mocktail a cup of fresh 27:07 strawberries Haled and 27:09 haved Rose Water for that floral hint a 27:14 tablespoon of honey or agave syrup a 27:17 lime ginger 27:19 ale uh ice cubes and then some rose 27:22 petals so muddle the 27:26 strawberries mix The Rose water and the 27:28 handful of ice cubes in a Shaker Shake 27:31 strain the mixture into the 27:34 glass make sure you catch all the big 27:37 bits of strawberry top it off with 27:39 ginger ale and then garnish with rose 27:41 petals an edible rose petal or a small 27:44 strawberry on the rim of the glass and 27:46 then what this thing 27:48 does is it makes you the drink 27:51 picture how flipping cool is 27:55 that I used it for mocktails they were 27:57 great awesome Megan yeah isn't that 27:59 amazing like this one sounds really good 28:02 actually you know some muddled 28:04 strawberry little ginger ale some simple 28:08 syrup Cupid's 28:13 blush so so that's a 28:17 GPT and they they can they can be all 28:19 sorts of things they can they can you 28:22 know they can make pictures what's 28:23 what's amazing about 28:25 them is that you've got essentially the 28:28 full power of chat gp4 you can you can 28:32 you can have them use code interpreter 28:34 which means you could have someone 28:35 upload a CSV file and then you do some 28:39 data analysis on it you know based on 28:42 your expertise and and it'll just do 28:44 that you can have it make pictures you 28:46 can have it be connected to the internet 28:48 so you could create a news I've done 28:50 I've done these before where it's a like 28:52 a PR 28:53 professional that will go get the latest 28:56 news on a certain company and and then 28:58 talk about the news from that company 29:00 from a PR perspective which is kind of 29:03 fun so that's that's what they 29:06 are 29:08 um how do you make them so you go back 29:11 to explore gpts you're on this little 29:13 page right here in in the upper right 29:15 hand 29:16 corner there's that create 29:18 button and it drops you to this 29:21 page it defaults to the configure tab on 29:24 the left where you can name it give it a 29:26 description write your prompt write any 29:29 starter questions if you've got files to 29:31 upload you can do that so that could be 29:34 like maybe you've written a book 29:37 on I don't know um managing little 29:41 league baseball teams you could upload 29:43 the PDF of your book and then this thing 29:45 could be an interactive version of your 29:48 book right and then you can turn on and 29:50 off the 29:51 capabilities on the right hand side this 29:54 is where the GPT will be built now if if 29:57 your eyes are already glazing over and 29:59 you're like but Kyle I don't know I 30:00 don't do programming I don't know what 30:02 to stick in all them fields that seems 30:05 Mighty intimidating ky ky hey ky ky ky 30:09 this seems 30:11 hard that's 30:13 fine that's why we have this little tab 30:15 called create so you click on 30:18 that and and what thank you very much 30:21 empow what what the fine folks over at 30:24 open AI have done is thank you very much 30:27 appreciate that is they have used chat 30:31 GPT as the interface to make custom 30:35 gpts which is super cool it basically 30:38 means you don't have to know any 30:40 programming at all it just does it for 30:42 you so the hardest thing is coming up 30:47 with let's 30:50 see what do they 30:56 call 31:03 what do they 31:05 call home remedies well I guess they're 31:08 called home 31:11 remedies all right so so what basically 31:13 what you do is you just tell it you want 31:15 you tell it you want a GPT that does 31:17 something so I'm going to I'm going to 31:18 say I'm just going to use some voice 31:20 dictation stuff 31:22 here 31:26 uh I want to create a 31:30 GPT 31:35 that allows 31:38 someone to create home remedies 31:42 and recipes for things like cleaning 31:46 products 31:48 and 31:50 household fixes 31:52 period I can't remember what those 31:54 things are called so maybe you can help 31:56 me when we come up with with the 32:03 name and that's 32:05 it like like I even put in there home 32:08 craft helper that's not right I what are 32:11 what are those things called not home 32:13 remedies is it it's not like old W 32:16 somethings what sorry my brain is my 32:19 brain is illegal no not 32:25 illegal not homeopathic no it's like 32:28 it's it's like not old wives tales not 32:31 home remedies it's 32:33 like like like instead of instead of 32:36 buying Windex you mix vinegar with 32:39 something what are those things 32:44 called uh just don't say 32:48 Bush for the house and family life hacks 32:51 holistic no someone's got to know 32:55 homemade home remedy maybe it is home 32:57 remedy no but it's not it's not just 32:59 remedies it's like [ __ ] around the house 33:02 holistic medicine no concoctions but 33:05 that's not it okay at least I'm not the 33:07 only one DIY close that's not it it's 33:11 like some old and timey no not 33:12 homeopathic that's just that's just for 33:14 medical 33:15 stuff 33:18 um ask chat GPT oh that's a good point 33:21 let's see every now and then someone's 33:23 someone in here's got got the genius 33:25 going 33:26 on um 33:29 what do you call it 33:33 when 33:35 um what do you 33:37 call 33:41 Solutions 33:42 where um where you make them 33:48 instead of buy them like vinegar and 33:55 water versus Windex 34:01 DIY no homemade 34:05 solutions no there is an oldtime 34:10 phrase for 34:13 it kind of 34:15 like home remedies or folk medicine 34:20 cloes old 34:24 old 34:26 wives 34:27 Tails 34:29 but 34:31 not just for 34:34 medicine come on GPT give me give me the 34:40 answer folk remedies is it folk folk 34:44 remedies 34:46 no I don't [ __ ] know DIY medical 34:50 Elixir no concoction no see now I've run 34:54 us down a pantasia no no 35:00 no I have a turkey tail tincture in my 35:03 pantry Papa 35:11 JJ Granny's 35:14 moonshine all right you listen listen 35:17 this community has never failed me this 35:20 is this is just 35:22 [Laughter] 35:25 horrific no what's it called like 35:27 Farmers Almanac like like all the things 35:30 in don't knock tricks of the trade close 35:34 tell it to give me 20 snake oil close 35:37 household 35:38 remedies yeah it's something like that 35:42 um give me 20 35:53 possibilities folk remedies maybe it's 35:56 folk remedies 35:58 but it's not just remedies DIY Solutions 36:00 natural concoctions someone said 36:03 concoctions ancestral 36:07 wisdom home brew household folk 36:11 wisdom natural alternatives I don't know 36:14 it doesn't [ __ ] matter see 36:18 now now we don't even know what we're 36:20 doing anymore all right wait great 36:22 choice this GPT will okay so anyway back 36:25 to where we were 36:30 who's oh Ronald Ronald I'm glad you have 36:32 a sense of humor he's he's like wait 36:35 Kyle how do just how do I make a [ __ ] 36:37 GPT okay we're there Apothecary no it's 36:40 not a fancy word it's like Olden timey 36:43 like Farmers things are I think folk 36:46 remedies or folk wisdom I don't I don't 36:49 listen 36:52 people Ronald and Roberto need some help 36:56 here tribal knowledge no tribal 37:00 knowledge oh man um Ronald is like oh my 37:05 god what have I gotten myself into 37:07 Herbal Remedies no no add peaking yes 37:11 okay calm down people okay focus focus 37:14 Roberto and Ronald need help they need 37:17 me to focus long enough to teach them 37:19 how to make a [ __ ] GPT okay so great 37:23 choice this GPT will focus on generating 37:26 home remedies and DIY recipes for 37:28 cleaning products and household fixes it 37:30 sounds very practical how about we call 37:32 it homecraft helper let's call it let's 37:36 call it let's call it folk 37:41 wisdom uh folks folk 37:45 wisdom 37:52 um 37:54 uh F let's see f folk 38:00 wisdom folk wisdom wiseacre no folk 38:04 wisdom uh 38:07 Solutions all 38:12 right 25k more 54 before okay wait what 38:16 are we up to we're up to almost 30,000 38:19 likes Shamanism sh Hocus Pocus almost 38:23 30k thank you sherbear um Granny says 38:26 this Works wait is that it Granny's 38:28 recipes Granny's Granny's something 38:31 Granny's Solutions Granny's damn it 38:34 anyway 38:36 okay now let's give folk wisdom 38:38 Solutions wait I called it oh oh I did 38:41 call IT solutions let's give folk uh 38:43 wisdom Solutions of visual identity so 38:45 it's now going to make a 38:48 picture and this is basically done so 38:51 what's going to happen is it's going to 38:52 populate this thing over here on the 38:54 right with a functional GPT so we're 38:56 done 38:58 we're done here's the profile picture 39:01 for fol uh wisdom Solutions featuring a 39:04 cozy inviting kitchen with herbs and 39:06 natural ingredients do you like it or 39:08 would you like me to make any changes um 39:11 I I'll just say that's fine it's fine 39:14 okay now this is built this is done we 39:17 could share this right now you don't 39:18 have to do any more than that so 39:19 basically you just describe what you 39:21 want it to do and it builds it it's done 39:24 so how can I naturally unclog a drain 39:27 great beautiful let's let's see that 39:30 one unclogging a drain naturally is safe 39:33 and ecofriendly 39:37 solution all right so it's going to do 39:39 that but here's what we're going to do 39:40 we're going to go give this thing some 39:42 personality so here's my strong 39:47 recommendation use the create side of 39:50 this to do the 39:51 first creation of the GPT and then flip 39:55 over to configure mode after after 39:58 that for whatever 40:01 reason once you've built a GPT if you 40:03 keep trying to improve it over on the 40:05 create side it totally screws up your 40:09 GPT this must be bolv resolved before 40:12 this live is over it really this is one 40:15 of those add things where none of us are 40:16 going to let it go DIY home remedies 40:19 home remedies it's so close it's not DIY 40:22 it's like it's like an 1800's term it's 40:26 like ter of the century last 40:30 century folk remedies it's like Farm 40:34 it's like in the in the Farmers 40:36 Almanac I don't [ __ ] know Timeless 40:39 tonics it's close Timeless tonics is is 40:42 closer kitchen table recipes are 40:44 grandmother's wisdom happy Homemaker 40:47 country lore some something you're 40:49 getting closer okay anyway back to this 40:53 you got stop I'm not I'm not looking at 40:56 your stupid comments cuz you getting it 40:58 all wrong it's all wrong and now I can't 41:02 think of anything else but what the [ __ ] 41:04 is this term that I can't think of okay 41:06 stop zip zip it old wives tales 41:10 close it's folk remedies and this covers 41:13 everything okay is that and that is that 41:15 what I called this thing folk oh folk 41:19 folk remedies folk remedies all right so 41:23 I'm going to flip over to the configure 41:25 thing and this I said folk wisdom so 41:27 let's call it folk 41:30 remedies folk folk 41:33 remedies 41:35 and um 41:39 DIY um and DIY Home Care there you go 41:47 fine okay 41:50 folk 41:53 um 41:55 remedies is designed to provide users 41:59 with traditional and natural remedies 42:01 DIY cleaning products okay so this is 42:03 our prompt when interacting folk folk 42:07 wisdom Solutions let's so let's just 42:09 call this folk 42:13 remedies um will prioritize safety and 42:16 Effectiveness providing disclaimers and 42:18 suggesting professional advice when 42:20 necessary that's great that's fine but 42:22 we're going to do this we're going to 42:24 do um I want uh let's see 42:29 um when 42:32 responding use an Olden 42:37 timey um 42:41 personality like 42:44 you just 42:47 pulled 42:50 granny out of the wild 42:54 west to have her help 42:59 you 43:01 solve your 43:04 problems 43:06 she should be 43:10 Saucy and 43:12 funny 43:13 she's a real 43:18 card all right so so now I just told it 43:22 to have a personality so let's go over 43:24 here we're going to reload this thing 43:28 and now we're going to say how do we 43:29 naturally unclog a 43:31 drain ah a Clogg drain that pesky devil 43:35 ah ah a clog drain that pesky Devil's 43:38 been the bane of many a household but 43:39 fear not I've got just a concoction to 43:42 set things right without chilling up 43:44 them harsh chemicals that'll make your 43:45 nose hairs 43:47 curl you want to rustle up with a bit of 43:50 baking soda and vinegar a du that's been 43:52 kicking around since the cows came home 43:54 right okay so now it's got a good 43:56 personality that's awesome and then 43:58 we're going to add one more one more 44:00 little 44:03 rule after 44:07 providing a 44:12 solution 44:15 create 44:17 an 44:20 old 44:21 charcoal drawing of the 44:25 solution 44:27 on a piece 44:31 of uh 44:36 weathered um 44:38 Browning 44:47 paper um with the name of the solution 44:53 at the 44:55 top Okay so so now it should because if 44:58 we scroll down to the bottom here we've 45:01 got web browsing turned on we've got 45:03 Dolly image generation turned on so 45:06 we'll go back over 45:08 here and let's see fix a squeaky 45:13 door so oh Granny's going with the image 45:17 first see some it it doesn't seem to get 45:20 the order of things right but let's see 45:22 what it 45:24 does non-conventional medicine it's not 45:26 just 45:27 medicine it's like you know squeaky door 45:30 stuff too not a 4x6 recipe it's 45:32 oldfashioned quackery oh look F squeaky 45:36 door 45:40 fix well butter my biscuit ain't nothing 45:43 more aggravating than the door that 45:44 sings a high-pitched Melody every time 45:46 you're trying to sneak into the kitchen 45:47 for some midnight pie but fear 45:50 not all right 45:53 so this works this this is 45:57 good let's see I'm going to say I'm 46:00 going to try one more thing here let's 46:02 see only 46:06 after 46:08 answering the 46:15 above create okay so that's good enough 46:19 we it may or may not work okay I made an 46:23 image on Show and Tell okay I'll go 46:24 check that out so we've got this thing 46:26 now how do you share this with the world 46:28 so you go up to the save button in the 46:29 upper right hand corner you can save it 46:32 just for yourself if you want this just 46:33 to be a tool that you're using you can 46:35 do that you can give it to anyone who 46:36 has the link or you can publish it um to 46:41 everyone now you do have to have your 46:43 name um validated which I'll show you in 46:46 a second um we'll give it a category 46:49 this said LIF style I think that's good 46:51 lifestyle is good for this and then 46:54 we'll confirm it 46:57 and so as soon as this 47:00 saves you all Roberto thanks for the 47:04 explanation you're welcome I'm sorry it 47:05 was so painful but that's what you get 47:07 here at Chad 47:08 add um if you go to the explor gpts tab 47:13 in your GPT 4 and look up folk remedies 47:16 and DIY you will find this GPT that we 47:19 just 47:20 made and so you can go play with this 47:23 and you know do what you want with it 47:25 steal it I don't give a 47:28 [ __ ] we'll make more this one's a fun 47:31 one though I like this 47:32 one um oh let's try let's see what's 47:35 what's a good remedy for sore throat 47:37 let's see if it gives us the remedy 47:39 first ah a sore throat you say yes 47:41 that's good Granny's got the 47:44 fix you'll need a classic remedy known 47:46 as honey and lemon tea I wouldn't call 47:49 that a remedy that's just like tea with 47:52 honey in it but 47:54 whatever gather your supplies the Mixon 47:58 look we've we've got like old and timey 48:00 Mountain Dew language in 48:03 here if you're old enough to remember 48:05 the early days of Mountain Dew remember 48:06 when it had had all this stupid you know 48:09 Wild Wild West language the sippen drink 48:12 this concoction 48:14 slowly oh look and it screwed up uh 48:19 let's see you didn't make the 48:25 image 48:27 [Music] 48:32 uh so now it's making it so see what it 48:35 did here it actually wrote The Prompt 48:37 create a charcoal drawing of honey and 48:39 lemon tea 48:41 remedy the name honey and lemon tea is 48:43 written at the top so it actually wrote 48:44 The Prompt but for whatever reason it 48:47 didn't it didn't create it but there's 48:50 our there's our image for our little 48:52 thing I mean this is this is kind of a 48:54 fun little thing I really want to create 48:56 an army of gpts and then call them all 48:59 once using 49:01 zapier 49:04 um I don't know that you can do that 49:07 because these gpts so what what you 49:10 could probably do is you could go you 49:13 could 49:14 make GPT like things using zapier and 49:18 using the assistant um API from open AI 49:23 plot T twist Roberto is an irregular his 49:26 question was just for fun oh well there 49:28 you have it but Ronald Ronald isn't an 49:31 irregular the Mountain Dew hillbilly 49:35 exactly but anyway that's how you make 49:37 gpts all right we're going to go look at 49:39 some other [ __ ] 49:40 now that was 49:42 fun thank you for thank you for trying 49:45 to solve the 49:46 unsolvable because I I don't know what 49:48 I'm talking about I think folk remedies 49:51 I think folk remedies is the is the is 49:53 the right 49:55 one 49:56 I think that's the one I was thinking of 49:58 but good Lord I that was painful that 50:00 was painful thank you people for putting 50:03 up with the 50:04 [Laughter] 50:06 insanity I've been trying to figure out 50:09 the exercise for the last two months 50:10 what 50:15 exercise add a shot of whiskey yeah 50:17 exactly that that sore throat remedy 50:20 needs needs whiskey in it how do you 50:22 validate your name oh that's a good 50:24 question Okay so in order to get so when 50:27 you create a um a GPT it says folk 50:32 remedies and DIY Home Care by Kyle 50:35 Shannon that's cuz my name's validated 50:38 so so you can either validate your name 50:40 or you can validate a 50:41 URL um so you go into your account and 50:45 then you go to settings in beta and you 50:48 go to Builder 50:51 profile and and this is this is where 50:54 you validate this stuff so if you turn 50:58 on use your name it's going to use the 51:01 name that's populated in your billing 51:03 details or if you want to validate a 51:07 domain you can verify a domain and so 51:11 you basically pick your domain so I've 51:13 got Kyle shannon.com I'm not going to do 51:15 this actually but I'll show you so so 51:17 you put in you put in your your 51:21 website and then when you click verify 51:24 it gives you this long code 51:27 and it says to verify ownership of the 51:29 domain navigate to your DNS provider so 51:33 basically Go Daddy or you know whoever 51:36 you bought your domain from and you need 51:39 to go into the DNS records and add a txt 51:44 record a text record 51:47 txt and then you copy and paste this 51:49 into 51:50 it and then update the DNS and it may 51:55 take it you know you know a couple hours 51:56 to to propagate is what they call 52:00 it and then once chat GPT can see that 52:05 code once it can connect with that 52:06 domain and validate that code then it 52:09 then it instead of it's saying by Kyle 52:11 Shannon it might say by KY shannon.com 52:13 or by story vine.com whatever URL I put 52:16 in there all 52:18 right 52:23 so let me go show you 52:27 some coolness 52:29 [Music] 52:37 where here we 52:42 go so 11 Labs 52:46 today released or announ like I don't 52:49 think it's released because I couldn't 52:50 figure out how to actually do it but it 52:53 says calling all voice actors 52:56 you can now share your voice in the 11 52:58 Labs voice Li library and earn when it's 53:02 used you can make 53:07 money 53:08 um not sure who asked about zapier but I 53:11 created four zaps in one GPT and I call 53:14 them all up with the at oh that's cool 53:18 oh that's right suzan they were talking 53:22 about calling the gpts from through 53:30 zapier but anyway anyone who was asking 53:35 about um the gpts in zapier Suzanne's 53:39 really good at gpts and has done it um 53:43 and you should also check out Ann 53:45 Murphy's weekend GPT Jam so I I'll talk 53:48 about the AI Salon here in a second 53:50 maybe I should do that first yeah I 53:52 think I'll do that first cuz this is 53:53 going to run me down a rabbit hole The 53:55 Voice voice actor thing anyway I'll come 53:57 back to this okay 54:00 so one of the really cool things about 54:04 this doing these 54:07 lives is that about a year and 3 months 54:11 ago I started this group called the AI 54:14 Salon I started it the week after chat 54:17 GPT came out and I started it because I 54:20 wanted to create a community of people 54:24 who were choosing to be on this AI 54:27 adventure together and like I even made 54:29 like a cool picture of like people going 54:31 on an adventure look 54:35 lookie there we 54:37 are and what's amazing is the salon has 54:41 become kind of an extension of this 54:43 community for for these lives and and 54:45 the salon every night becomes like this 54:47 cool jam session where part of it's 54:50 what's going on in the lives and part of 54:51 it's what's going on there and then 54:53 throughout the day and you know sort of 54:56 you know just it's it's a it's a whole 54:58 burgeoning community so you should if if 55:02 you're if you're like the person in your 55:04 life that's like uh hello um you guys 55:08 need to pay attention to this AI stuff 55:10 uh this is going to change everything uh 55:12 anybody and everyone else in your life 55:14 is like could you just shut up about the 55:16 AI already God we just want to go down 55:19 to FUD Ruckers and have a twisted 55:21 Margarita you know are you getting the 55:23 Flamin nachos tonight 55:26 if if you're tired of dealing with that 55:31 crowd and you want a crowd that like 55:34 actually gets what's going on too and is 55:37 having fun with it and exploring it and 55:40 really cool to be around that's what 55:42 this group is so go to the 55:45 salon. and then that's going to take you 55:48 to a link 55:54 tree 55:57 let's see the 56:00 salon. the salon it's going to take you 56:03 to this link tree and the very first 56:06 link is the AI Salon community and if 56:08 you click on that it's going to drop you 56:11 on this 56:13 page that image that we just saw you're 56:15 like oh that looks familiar and then 56:19 what I want you to do thank you Silver 56:21 Fox for posting that is I want you to 56:26 read about who we are it's not long 56:28 listen I got add I I don't write [ __ ] 56:30 that takes long to read there's like 56:33 look who we are why we're here how we 56:35 explore what we want that's it and then 56:37 there's values and so I want you to 56:40 check out who we 56:41 are ragtag group of Misfits ner duells 56:44 and Miss 56:47 creant if there's any comedian fans in 56:49 here I stole that from Gary 56:53 Goldman and 56:56 and then I want you to check out our 56:57 values the values are really important 56:59 like as as fun and cut upy as I am in 57:03 here and as much as I like to have fun 57:05 these are actually really important and 57:07 and why that is is because these are not 57:10 just things we made up like these are 57:12 not like successories posters right like 57:16 perseverance you can do 57:19 it these values are who this group 57:22 already is and one of the things that I 57:25 know I've I've scaled organizations a 57:29 number of times in my life as 57:32 organizations scale they can change and 57:34 they can morph and one of the reasons 57:36 they morph is that you end up getting 57:37 more 57:39 people who don't know what the original 57:41 group was then 57:43 do and so one of the ways that you can 57:47 mitigate that risk a bit is talk about 57:49 the values and so these values are 57:52 articulated not not just made up out of 57:54 nothing but they're they're made up out 57:55 of who who people already are in this 57:58 community and it's really quite 58:00 remarkable so one of the values is 58:02 curiosity people in here are very 58:03 curious how's that work what are you 58:05 doing there just curious curious 58:08 curious and how do you balance that 58:10 Curiosity and that hunger to learn 58:12 something you balance it with generosity 58:14 as you learn something oh how'd you do 58:17 that oh I did it like this you be 58:19 generous share what you're learning 58:22 share what's happening share um Lord 58:25 digital Gods today found a cool new 58:27 thing on Adobe Express and rather than 58:29 keeping it to himself came right into 58:32 the salon and said oh look at this cool 58:35 animated video I 58:36 made and then tagged a bunch of people 58:39 and then someone Danielle went off and 58:41 made one and like it's cool then I went 58:43 off and made one 58:46 generosity exploration adventurous we 58:50 want people that are on the adventure 58:51 ready to like step into the unknown 58:54 collaboration willing to do it with 58:56 other people inclusion willing to 58:58 include people that might not have your 59:01 experience might not look like you sound 59:03 like 59:04 you oh you're you're not you can't be an 59:07 AI you don't have a degree from Stamford 59:10 [ __ ] that 59:11 noise we're in a very different part of 59:15 the AI Evolution chat GPT open the doors 59:20 up to the non 59:23 Engineers you can be in engineer and be 59:25 in in here but you don't have to be 59:27 that's really 59:29 important 59:31 empathy people are scared right now 59:33 people are freaked out so recognize that 59:39 and understand that if someone's acting 59:41 a little 59:43 jerky it might just be because they're 59:45 having a bad day or maybe they're afraid 59:49 that they can't keep up with this maybe 59:50 they're afraid that they're not 59:52 technical enough and you you sound like 59:54 some kind of a wizard cuz you just 59:56 showed them a whole bunch of 59:57 code and meanwhile they don't know that 1:00:00 you don't know how to code and chat GPT 1:00:02 did that for 1:00:03 you you're you're not a wizard after 1:00:09 all but you know there's that Arthur C 1:00:11 Clark saying any sufficiently advanced 1:00:13 technology is indistinguishable from 1:00:15 Magic so so if someone's a little cranky 1:00:18 maybe they just haven't experienced the 1:00:21 magic of mathematics the math magic of 1:00:25 AI That's for you pate and then the 1:00:28 final one is 1:00:32 gratitude We Believe gratitude is a 1:00:35 practice it's not just a feeling but an 1:00:37 action take the time to acknowledge the 1:00:40 efforts support and successes of the 1:00:43 extraordinary people in this community 1:00:45 especially if someone inspires you go 1:00:47 out of your way to acknowledge them tag 1:00:49 them in your post reach out and let them 1:00:52 know they made a difference wouldn't 1:00:53 that be a cool Community to be in that's 1:00:57 what this community is this happens 1:00:59 regularly like this these values are who 1:01:03 this community is consistently regularly 1:01:07 so here's the thing about 1:01:10 values if you resonate with those if 1:01:12 those make you all tingly and like oh 1:01:14 that's great these are going to be your 1:01:16 people if those values make you like who 1:01:19 the [ __ ] are these people that's what 1:01:20 it's going to feel like in 1:01:23 here so if they resonate that I I would 1:01:25 love for you to join it doesn't cost 1:01:27 anything that's what it's going to feel 1:01:28 like in 1:01:30 here so if they resonate that I I would 1:01:33 love for you to join it doesn't cost 1:01:35 anything 1:01:36 there are y'all still there 1:01:39 hello 1:01:41 hello a 1:01:43 shoe can somebody pin my message Kyle 1:01:47 what are the prompts that you used in 1:01:49 the graphics um oh for for these 1:01:53 graphics down 1:01:56 here um you know what's 1:02:00 cool I I oh because I can't search 1:02:03 prompts we we can't do it I I'll come 1:02:05 back to that issue I'll I'll come back 1:02:06 and talk to you about how I did the 1:02:08 prompting for those 1:02:09 images 1:02:11 um so if you're interested in joining I 1:02:14 don't know when Tik Tok just quit if 1:02:17 you're 1:02:19 tingly we're back we lost you for a bit 1:02:22 but you're back okay yeah it my Tik Tok 1:02:24 app just 1:02:25 quit um what I'd like you to do is in 1:02:28 the community section the first link is 1:02:31 introduce yourself my request is if you 1:02:33 want to join this community introduce 1:02:35 yourself you're like but Kyle I don't 1:02:37 know anyone and that's scary what if 1:02:39 they think I'm a dumb dumb what if they 1:02:41 don't like me KY K it's too scary one of 1:02:45 our values is generosity be generous the 1:02:48 the introducing yourself isn't for you 1:02:50 it's for other people other people are 1:02:53 excited to to hear who you are give them 1:02:57 a gift of introducing yourself and what 1:03:01 you're going to find in this group is 1:03:03 that they're going to welcome you no 1:03:05 matter who you are cuz like the 1:03:07 inclusion thing the empathy thing like 1:03:09 that's who this group 1:03:10 is so introduce yourself and and what 1:03:14 what will happen is if you're generous 1:03:16 in your introduction someone in there is 1:03:18 going to we don't 1:03:20 bite and the ones that do have had most 1:03:22 of their shots exactly 1:03:26 and quite frankly if if someone comes in 1:03:28 here and and is spamming or is is a 1:03:31 [ __ ] you know Butthead then we deal 1:03:34 with 1:03:35 it what up fam I'm way late what's up 1:03:38 quick take Jake welcome welcome 1:03:41 welcome oh you have an app 1:03:45 too you're going to find incredible 1:03:47 people so introduce yourself and then 1:03:50 check out you know check out the 1:03:51 sections water cooler showand tell news 1:03:54 AI tools and resources this list in my 1:03:58 humble opinion is worth the pain in the 1:04:02 ass of like signing up and introducing 1:04:03 yourself to a new community it's not 1:04:05 required that you introduce yourself you 1:04:07 can just use this for free but like this 1:04:10 is a list that I personally maintain of 1:04:12 like here's all the tools I think you 1:04:14 should be if you want to get AI literate 1:04:17 you should be understanding what's 1:04:18 happening in a lot of different 1:04:20 categories of tools and these are ones 1:04:22 that are like the major players that 1:04:24 will not waste your 1:04:26 time and if any of these things sort of 1:04:28 fall on their face and get shitty I'll 1:04:30 take them off the list I've done it 1:04:32 before I'll do it again I was really 1:04:36 hoping Gemini 1:04:39 Advanced would be at the top of this 1:04:41 list you know dethroning cha PT and it 1:04:44 didn't happen it's not ready yet so it's 1:04:47 it's still at the kid it's it's still at 1:04:49 the uh the next table down and we have 1:04:52 the kids table below that then we have 1:04:54 images image generation tools video 1:04:57 generation tools music and 1:05:00 audio all right so go do that the other 1:05:03 thing about the salon that you should 1:05:04 know and that you should be excited 1:05:06 about is there are guilds and guilds are 1:05:09 sub communities within the community and 1:05:12 there are also clubs so guilds are like 1:05:15 official AI Salon organizations or sub 1:05:18 communities and clubs are just clubs 1:05:22 where people want to put something 1:05:24 together will host their Club if it's in 1:05:27 line with what we're up to like like um 1:05:29 Cindy Coon's got the future of AI 1:05:32 publishing um that's a little private 1:05:34 club um Ann Murphy's got weekend GPT JB 1:05:38 jams which is uh which is you know open 1:05:41 you have to ask her to let you in but 1:05:43 she'll let you 1:05:45 in and then the Irregulars AI learning 1:05:48 Lab at regulars that's us we have our 1:05:50 own little Club that's open to anyone so 1:05:52 come in here and while you're while 1:05:53 you're you know hanging out here at 1:05:56 night and you come back time after time 1:05:58 and I make stupid jokes about folk 1:06:01 remedies it is folk remedies that that 1:06:03 was the term by the way that I'm 1:06:05 thinking of now folk 1:06:06 remedies um you can make funny images 1:06:10 what do we want 1:06:12 [Laughter] 1:06:16 squirrel Granny's and moonshine see look 1:06:21 look you know we're joking about stupid 1:06:23 [ __ ] and then income like it this is 1:06:26 like a jam session this is such a cool 1:06:28 Community anyway all right that's that 1:06:32 the question was asked how did I 1:06:36 prompt for these 1:06:40 images so how I did that was we had 1:06:44 written we had written the description 1:06:46 of who we were first so I took actually 1:06:50 I'll just grab all of 1:06:53 this 1:06:56 so I grabbed the entire sort of uh 1:07:00 whatever you call this mission statement 1:07:03 with the values and I went to chat 1:07:08 GPT and I 1:07:11 said I've got a 1:07:15 community of AI 1:07:19 adventurers and 1:07:21 here is what we say 1:07:27 about 1:07:32 ourselves and then I pasted all that 1:07:35 crap 1:07:38 in and so there's all of our values and 1:07:42 right and then I 1:07:49 went I'd like to 1:07:52 make 16 by 9 wide images so that's like 1:07:58 the you know like like a TV 1:08:01 screen 16 by9 wide 1:08:05 images of each 1:08:12 value 1:08:14 please 1:08:18 describe five 1:08:22 different visuals 1:08:26 styles that might be 1:08:29 appropriate and I will choose 1:08:33 one to 1:08:35 explore so the first thing I did was I I 1:08:38 I I know that sometimes chat GPT will go 1:08:41 into like really cliche kind of looks 1:08:43 and 1:08:46 feels and so the first thing I had it do 1:08:49 was I 1:08:50 said you know just describe steampunk 1:08:54 Explorer style digital Frontier style 1:08:57 minimalist geometric style nature meets 1:08:59 technology 1:09:01 style and retr futuristic collage style 1:09:05 actually let's let's explore that so I'm 1:09:08 going to say let's see show 1:09:11 me two steampunk Explorer and five retro 1:09:16 futuristic I'm going to say I like two 1:09:20 and 1:09:23 five can you make an image in each of 1:09:30 those for the first 1:09:35 value and this is literally how I did 1:09:39 it oh and I and I think I even made this 1:09:41 mistake the mistake that I just made is 1:09:44 I want it to include the name of the 1:09:46 value on the 1:09:47 image and so it's going to create an 1:09:51 image it's so bad compared to chat GPT 1:09:54 for it's not even funny I assumed you're 1:09:56 talking about 1:09:58 Gemini G Gemini it's uh it's special on 1:10:04 the image 1:10:08 front so there's the steampunk what was 1:10:11 it steampunk retro or 1:10:14 steampunk Explorer style that's kind of 1:10:17 cool right all the Explorer 1:10:23 paraphernalia 1:10:33 there's steampunk Explorer and retro 1:10:37 futuristic yeah collage cool so those 1:10:41 are cool so so retro futuristics a 1:10:44 little busy but what I'm going to do um 1:10:48 I forgot I 1:10:51 want 1:10:53 the 1:10:55 value in large bold letters at the top 1:11:01 of the 1:11:04 image create both again with the 1:11:11 word in 1:11:15 there and if you haven't really 1:11:20 explored Dolly 3 in in this kind of way 1:11:24 where you're starting with a 1:11:27 conversation right so I took all of the 1:11:30 writing that explained what the what the 1:11:32 salon was all 1:11:33 about thank you digital Gods Lord 1:11:36 digital 1:11:40 Gods oh that's right thanks Brandon so 1:11:43 there's curiosity and it spelled it 1:11:45 wrong which is that's part of the charm 1:11:47 of the the era that we're in right now 1:11:50 so I'd probably do you know do 1:11:53 that but this idea of being able to 1:11:56 create images not not just like you go 1:11:58 to an 1:11:59 image program and you make images but 1:12:04 you're like having a conversation about 1:12:06 a project or a marketing plan like that 1:12:09 one's really cool love that it's spelled 1:12:12 curiosity wrong but like that's a really 1:12:14 cool style right so like that could be 1:12:16 something that we 1:12:22 explore so that's how I did the 1:12:25 Brandon brought up brought up a good 1:12:27 point 1:12:28 so I want you to join the salon here's 1:12:31 the other thing about the salon we've 1:12:32 got this online community which is 1:12:35 awesome excuse 1:12:37 me we also have 1:12:43 um it's coming to me 1:12:47 meetings every other Tuesday we have a 1:12:51 meeting where we bring in a speaker and 1:12:53 we you know know we get to meet each 1:12:55 other we get to talk um share 1:12:58 ideas talk about new technologies that 1:13:00 have come up and we'll bring in a 1:13:03 speaker and the the speaker that uh is 1:13:05 speaking tomorrow is a guy named PJ 1:13:07 lochran um I worked with him for years 1:13:10 at agency.com he's since gone on to to 1:13:14 do just remarkable remarkable stuff he's 1:13:16 an 1:13:17 incredibly multi-talented man um he's 1:13:21 written songs for Martin sexon he's he's 1:13:23 an incredible musician he's incredible 1:13:25 artist he's an illustrator and a 1:13:28 published you published illustrator um 1:13:30 and he's a hell of an entrepreneur and 1:13:34 and started a lot of agencies and 1:13:36 creative groups and his his current 1:13:39 company damn it I joined with my real 1:13:41 name well real name's good so one of the 1:13:45 other things we encourage in the salon 1:13:47 is to join with your real name um 1:13:49 because we want to get to know each 1:13:50 other oh there's also I'm going to show 1:13:52 you something cool in here someone else 1:13:53 I think Brandon might even pointed this 1:13:55 out or someone else did there's there's 1:13:57 an amazing feature in the AI Salon that 1:14:01 I don't think a lot of people know about 1:14:03 what's the deal with chat GPT spelling 1:14:05 wrong it's so weird so the amethyst 1:14:09 Gwen the nature of how 1:14:13 um images are created is is has got a 1:14:17 similar component to it to to how chat 1:14:21 BT generates words where in neither case 1:14:26 is the tool aware of what the tool 1:14:28 created um so there's just sort of this 1:14:31 large amalgamation of words in math 1:14:34 space and when you ask chat GPT to write 1:14:36 something it just writes um a bunch of 1:14:40 words using probability for each word um 1:14:44 it has no idea what it actually wrote so 1:14:46 when when they talk about Chach GPT 1:14:48 hallucinating or lying that's why cuz 1:14:51 it's not actually conscious of what it's 1:14:52 writing similarly the image generation 1:14:55 tools are not aware of what they're 1:14:57 writing they're taking a bunch of images 1:15:00 that have been noised turned into like 1:15:02 random noise patterns and then they sort 1:15:04 of smash them all together and average 1:15:06 them into a single noisy image and then 1:15:09 over like 50 steps it Den noises that 1:15:12 image so the fact that they they do 1:15:14 letters at all and that they spell right 1:15:17 even occasionally is kind of a minor 1:15:20 miracle um as we move through 20 24 1:15:24 these tools are going to start to gain 1:15:27 um capabilities like reasoning where 1:15:30 they can actually go back and look at 1:15:31 what they've created and fix things like 1:15:34 that so the misspellings as maddening as 1:15:37 they are right now are going to be kind 1:15:38 of quaint when everything gets perfect 1:15:41 which might be 2 to three years aware 1:15:45 what do you mean it's not aware the 1:15:46 algorithm is aware of the 1:15:51 text it's not aware enough of the text 1:15:53 text to know if it got it right or wrong 1:15:58 though or it wouldn't hallucinate it 1:16:01 would go back and fix it so that's what 1:16:04 I'm talking about that it's it's 1:16:07 generating it you 1:16:10 know in a in a stream of 1:16:13 Consciousness where it's not aware of 1:16:16 what it wrote after it wrote it now 1:16:18 maybe I don't know something Pate P Pate 1:16:21 is good at educating edating 1:16:24 on if I'm getting stuff wrong so if I'm 1:16:26 getting something wrong let me know but 1:16:27 I I don't think I'm wrong on that 1:16:30 piece 1:16:32 um all hail the AI over overlords the AI 1:16:36 is perfect just in case you're 1:16:39 watching wind riters got the right idea 1:16:42 you know people are like why do you say 1:16:44 please and thank you to the robot and 1:16:46 it's you know the smarmy answer is cuz 1:16:49 you know the robot remembers don't be a 1:16:53 dick dick to your 1:16:54 robot um but the fact of the matter is 1:16:57 it's just because they've been trained 1:17:00 on human language stuff when they 1:17:03 respond it feels very human it feels 1:17:05 like you're interacting with a human I 1:17:07 think maybe we're talking about two 1:17:08 different things with being unaware not 1:17:10 sure though yeah I I think so I think 1:17:12 probably um I still say please and thank 1:17:15 you to Alexa and Echo y um better be 1:17:17 cherished pet than than a simple 1:17:20 battery 1:17:22 um 1:17:24 all right so tomorrow night is the is is 1:17:27 the next Salon meeting so if you come to 1:17:30 the salon go to um Salon streams and 1:17:34 meetings and you'll see um calendar 1:17:39 invite so tomorrow at 5:00 P PM 1:17:45 Mountain we've got 94 RSVPs here and 1:17:49 we've got like 40 RSVPs from Meetup 1:17:52 there's probably some overlap there but 1:17:54 we've we've 1:17:56 consistently um had you know 1:18:00 between 70 and 100 120 people at the at 1:18:04 the every other weekly meeting so 1:18:07 they're they're really they're really 1:18:08 quite fun quite quite good so come join 1:18:11 us for 1:18:13 that 1:18:15 um what else okay let's let's go back to 1:18:19 let's go back to this the 11 Labs thing 1:18:23 so if you don't know 11 Labs 11 Labs is 1:18:26 a voice modeling company so you 1:18:32 can write a piece of text and choose a 1:18:35 voice and it will just make that 1:18:38 voice you can also create a model of 1:18:41 your own voice so you can upload I think 1:18:44 it's between two and 5 minutes and it 1:18:46 will cre create a model of your 1:18:51 voice you can imagine so so so Ronda 1:18:54 Phillips who who has a a really amazing 1:18:58 community of VoiceOver actors she 1:19:00 invited me to do an AI workshop for her 1:19:02 voiceover Community a few weeks or a few 1:19:05 months 1:19:07 back and as you can imagine the 1:19:09 voiceover actors in that group were like 1:19:11 wait it can do what what the [ __ ] 1:19:14 going to happen with our careers I'm 1:19:16 like I don't know but you should just be 1:19:18 aware that this stuff's coming right so 1:19:20 it was it was one of those things where 1:19:22 there was a lot of 1:19:24 Kevin McAllister moments there's a lot 1:19:25 of jop dropped 1:19:28 jaws and you know I think it freaked 1:19:31 some people out it inspired some people 1:19:33 it motivated some people well 11 Labs 1:19:36 today this is the first one that I knew 1:19:38 of but then I found out about a second 1:19:40 one that's doing the same thing says 1:19:42 calling all voice actors you can share 1:19:45 your voice in the 11 Labs voice library 1:19:48 and earn when it's used with as little 1:19:51 as 30 minutes of audio you can create a 1:19:53 voice that's ready to be used in 1:19:54 projects around the world here's how it 1:19:56 works head to the voice lab and upload 1:19:59 30 plus minutes of video of audio name 1:20:02 and describe your voice set your price 1:20:05 and usage parameters right so licensing 1:20:08 kind of stuff and and terms and then add 1:20:11 your payment details and you'll get paid 1:20:13 when it's used and then here's the video 1:20:16 they put out voice actor payouts now you 1:20:19 can create an AI voice and earn while 1:20:21 you sleep I can do what just upload as 1:20:24 little as 30 minutes of audio fill in a 1:20:26 few details and our AI can create a 1:20:28 voice that's ready to be used in 1:20:29 projects 1:20:31 worldwide uh how do I make money you 1:20:34 decide simply choose our default system 1:20:36 or set your own personalized custom rate 1:20:39 and you'll earn as your voice is 1:20:41 used okay but couldn't they have me say 1:20:44 anything our content moderators track 1:20:46 usage and you can enable automated 1:20:48 filters for Extra Protection giving you 1:20:50 peace of mind as you earn create control 1:20:54 uh got it so let your AI Voice work for 1:20:57 you add your voice to the 11 Labs voice 1:20:59 library today narrating content stories 1:21:01 podcasts and so much more all across the 1:21:04 globe cool let's get going head to the 1:21:07 voice lab today and add your voice to 1:21:08 the growing voice 1:21:10 Library so that's pretty fascinating and 1:21:13 if we jump over there the there's 1:21:15 there's a weirdness to it though so if 1:21:17 you jump here if if you click on that 1:21:19 link that was in um on LinkedIn if you 1:21:22 go to my profile on LinkedIn I did a 1:21:24 post about this today so you can find 1:21:27 that that thing I couldn't find it on 1:21:29 Twitter and it's it was not obvious um 1:21:33 on the uh 11 lab site it this wasn't a 1:21:36 major site and if you say start earning 1:21:39 now it doesn't it's it's not immediately 1:21:42 obvious how you add in the the pricing 1:21:44 thing um I've 1:21:47 made three different models here on 11 1:21:50 Labs but none of them had 30 minutes or 1:21:53 or more of audio 1:21:57 so I tried it with one of my voice 1:22:02 inflections correct it sounded robotic 1:22:05 and flat yeah these things right now are 1:22:07 robotic and flat that might be why 1:22:08 they're asking for 30 minute samples 1:22:11 because maybe with a 30 minute sample 1:22:13 you get more more variation in there um 1:22:16 but you know step one create your 1:22:18 professional clone step two share your 1:22:21 voice in their voice Library step three 1:22:23 basically set up 1:22:25 payments um and then you're off to the 1:22:27 races 1:22:30 um wait share your professional voice 1:22:33 clone in the voice Library get started 1:22:36 today yeah so this takes you over here 1:22:39 so 1:22:45 basically yeah this says add a voice and 1:22:48 if I click on add a 1:22:51 voice the then I can add generative or a 1:22:54 cloned 1:23:08 voice so I am a subscriber professional 1:23:11 voice 1:23:16 cloning it's not it's not this one's not 1:23:19 super obvious how you do the the earnout 1:23:21 thing but anyway and that's probably 1:23:23 just because they just announced it and 1:23:25 they haven't quite fully fully rolled it 1:23:28 into the site yet so so there's that one 1:23:31 and 1:23:33 then I found this I found the CEO of 1:23:37 this 1:23:38 company in the comments of that LinkedIn 1:23:42 post and he was bitter he was it was 1:23:46 funny he was like oh oh you canceled you 1:23:49 cancelled the the response of your 1:23:53 competition or something like that 1:23:56 um but this 1:24:00 one seems Seems like it's very 1:24:02 specifically designed for 1:24:05 um for voice voice Talent right so I'm 1:24:09 Talent I'm an Advertiser so if I log in 1:24:12 as 1:24:18 talent and this one's called narrative 1:24:21 without the e narrative without thee. 1:24:26 a and so I'm starting to put 1:24:31 together my um my 1:24:35 bio and then Talent type influencer 1:24:38 actor musician broadcaster comedian 1:24:41 model um synthetic voiceover so I just 1:24:44 went with influencer 1:24:46 cuz I assume people will search for that 1:24:49 more and I've got a Tik Tok Channel and 1:24:51 then you connect your 1:24:53 your 1:24:54 socials and then you go to this page 1:24:57 where you 1:24:58 upload like here's a default voice an 1:25:01 advertising voice a happy voice a sad 1:25:04 voice an angry voice a disgusted voice 1:25:06 so they they've got all these different 1:25:08 kinds of 1:25:11 um vocal 1:25:14 things and then you set your price so 1:25:17 this is a similar one this one seems 1:25:18 like it's a lot more 1:25:21 um this is a lot more baked than 11 Labs 1:25:25 I don't know what technology they're 1:25:26 using on the back end I haven't finished 1:25:30 um doing all all of my recordings yet 1:25:34 but I will share with you a cool I'm 1:25:37 pretty proud of myself so so let me show 1:25:40 you what I did here for because if I'm 1:25:42 going to record all these that's fine 1:25:45 but like what do you say well we have 1:25:47 chat GPT for that so I copied this long 1:25:51 list of 1:25:53 um uh like 1:25:56 emotions and then I went over to the 1:25:58 chat 1:26:01 J 1:26:05 [Music] 1:26:08 and where is it is it this yeah so what 1:26:14 I did was I hopped in 1:26:21 here 1:26:24 and I said I want you to give me a short 1:26:26 script for each of these types of 1:26:28 content to record based on the tone of 1:26:31 voice you have here I'm I'm in a a GPT 1:26:34 that's sampled on my writing so I want 1:26:37 to use the tone of my voice from my GPT 1:26:40 and then I just pasted in the you know 1:26:44 steady flat pitch the 1:26:47 advertising the happy right I just 1:26:50 pasted in all these different things 1:26:53 and then it started writing a script and 1:26:55 they were a little short so I 1:26:56 interrupted it and I said make them 1:27:01 longer and so you know the steady flat 1:27:04 pitch consider the march of progress 1:27:06 where technology and human Ingenuity 1:27:08 converge in a quiet sympy Symphony of 1:27:11 innovation and then for advertising are 1:27:14 you ready to unleash your creativity 1:27:16 like never before discover the platform 1:27:18 whose stories come to life right you 1:27:21 know happy imagine in a place 1:27:23 where so so you you can just go through 1:27:26 these and you know there's my script I 1:27:29 don't have to think about it I can just 1:27:30 read it and when I'm happy enough with 1:27:33 it where it sort of sounds like what I 1:27:35 want then I upload it and it'll make a 1:27:39 thing could you use this for reading of 1:27:41 the book you authored I absolutely could 1:27:44 and it would probably be better than my 1:27:46 authoring of it my uh my readings on the 1:27:49 Tik Tok here are a little flat but 1:27:50 that's all right I just wanted to get it 1:27:52 done like the the most important thing I 1:27:54 wanted to do with reading the book was 1:27:57 um just get them get it recorded because 1:27:59 now that we've got all these tools that 1:28:01 can do that can leverage content in in 1:28:04 such amazing ways I just wanted to have 1:28:06 it recorded so I might go back and 1:28:09 re-record it better or this would be an 1:28:12 interesting uh exercise is to you 1:28:15 know do all of these things 1:28:20 um and see if it's any better right 1:28:22 right cuz I spent I spent like 20 1:28:26 minutes training Apple's Apple has some 1:28:29 sort of voice cloning thing as part of 1:28:31 their accessibility in iOS 17 and it 1:28:34 [ __ ] sucked I I thought Apple would 1:28:37 kill it they had you record like 50 1:28:41 different phrases and I'm like this is 1:28:43 brilliant they're capturing all these 1:28:45 phrases and they're going to have all 1:28:46 the different phonemes that that make up 1:28:49 words and it's going to be brilliant and 1:28:51 then I had it say my words and it was it 1:28:54 was awful it was it was way worse than 1:28:57 11 Labs so 11 Labs right now still the 1:29:01 best so so that's that 1:29:06 one and 1:29:11 then this Adobe Express thing so this is 1:29:15 the one that Lord digital Gods pointed 1:29:17 out and it's it's still really hard to 1:29:20 find on the site but if you go to new. 1:29:24 express. adobe.com it's the new stuff 1:29:29 and then if you 1:29:31 search let's see where's the search oh 1:29:34 up here if you search for 1:29:38 animate from 1:29:40 audio so you go to animate from 1:29:45 audio and then you you pick different 1:29:50 characters so so you have to pick from 1:29:52 their stupid ass 1:29:54 characters it's like it's like come on 1:29:58 guys we like we want to use like real 1:30:01 characters but whatever I mean some of 1:30:03 them are 1:30:04 funny but you pick from your characters 1:30:07 and then you pick the 1:30:08 background right so you can change the 1:30:10 background out and then you just record 1:30:13 the audio and you can turn on enhanced 1:30:15 speech and they fix that and so 1:30:18 mine if you go to the AI salon and you 1:30:21 go to Show and 1:30:25 Tell I made one of these 1:30:29 earlier K live on Tik 1:30:33 Tock the 1:30:40 Box nice 1:30:43 a Happy Valentine's Day AI learning lab 1:30:47 that's very cool family 1:30:48 remedies focus focus people 1:30:57 where's my dude oh there he is all right 1:30:59 so here's my 1:31:04 dude hey there welcome to the AI 1:31:06 learning lab I hope you're all doing 1:31:08 good you know doing good one of the 1:31:11 things I like talking about here in the 1:31:12 AI learning lab is uh sometimes you just 1:31:15 got to play you know play play with AI 1:31:19 don't don't make it like work work is so 1:31:22 hard play fun have fun with AI and and 1:31:26 then maybe help someone out see if 1:31:29 someone needs something done or if 1:31:30 they're trying to figure something out 1:31:32 then maybe you could use AI to help them 1:31:35 do that you know like solve a problem so 1:31:38 so play a little bit learn about the 1:31:40 tools and then see if someone needs some 1:31:42 help and help them with with whatever 1:31:45 their problem is and maybe you can help 1:31:46 them may maybe AI can do that faster and 1:31:49 better than than you could do it on your 1:31:51 own and that and I think the really big 1:31:53 thing to do is share what you're talking 1:31:55 about ask people you know if they know 1:31:58 what's going on with AI and show them 1:32:00 the thing that you 1:32:02 did right slick so how you do that is 1:32:08 you know you pick your you pick your you 1:32:10 literally just pick the the character in 1:32:12 the background and then record the 1:32:14 audio so we'll do we'll do pencil and 1:32:18 we'll do background of a 1:32:21 chalkboard 1:32:26 and you can resize your little thing and 1:32:29 then it's got a size thing here what's 1:32:30 that 1:32:33 oh story reels 1:32:36 igtv 9 by 1:32:43 16 do a little composition 1:32:51 there 1:32:54 turn on enhanced 1:32:57 speech all right what am I going to talk 1:33:07 about I'd like to talk to you about 1:33:10 artificial 1:33:12 intelligence and how the fact that 1:33:16 everybody claims they're an expert but 1:33:19 really no one's an expert well I'm an 1:33:23 expert but no one else is no one's an ex 1:33:27 I'm not even an expert that was a lie 1:33:30 sorry I lied nobody knows what they're 1:33:33 doing everybody's lost nobody can keep 1:33:36 up have you tried AI oh it's fun oh it's 1:33:41 fun can't you hear the excitement in my 1:33:44 voice anyway if you think you're behind 1:33:48 you're really not behind you're ahead 1:33:51 you're watching watching a pencil talk 1:33:54 that's 1:33:57 AI 1:33:59 anyway I got to go teachers about to 1:34:02 show up so are the students I hate the 1:34:05 students they bite me they bite me a lot 1:34:10 I don't like it biting 1:34:13 hurts 1:34:14 okay so 1:34:17 clearly Stellar 1:34:20 performance uh um enhancing audio so if 1:34:25 I guess I if I had not checked that it 1:34:27 wouldn't take so long but this is that 1:34:29 adobe's got that really cool audio 1:34:32 processing thing where no matter how 1:34:33 shitty your microphone is it makes it 1:34:35 sound like you're in a studio I need 1:34:37 this what is this this is um it's called 1:34:40 animate from 1:34:41 audio and if you go to new. express. 1:34:45 adobe.com so it's Adobe Express except 1:34:48 it's the new it's it's the new features 1:34:51 and I couldn't find it in the um in the 1:34:55 actual pages but if you in the search 1:34:58 bar search for animate from 1:35:01 audio um it will it will do 1:35:04 that and so now I did this one as kind 1:35:06 of a Tik Tock format I think what I'll 1:35:08 do is is I'll I'll actually do this as a 1:35:10 Tik Tok video tonight or tomorrow so 1:35:13 it's exporting so it's it's at 40 1:35:17 46% says hang tight generating your 1:35:20 preview 1:35:22 and then we'll have some sort of stupid 1:35:24 you know Schoolhouse Rock kind of Dopey 1:35:30 pencil search for animate from audio on 1:35:32 Adobe Express thank you Silver Fox for 1:35:35 for pinning that exactly Kyle I tagged 1:35:38 one of my kids did on Tik Tok in your 1:35:42 thread wait I tagged one one of my kids 1:35:45 did on Tik Tok in your thread oh cool 1:35:47 awesome I'll look for that thank you 1:35:49 that's 1:35:50 awesome super cool 1:35:54 oh new new. new. 1:35:57 express. adobe.com 1:36:01 new. 1:36:02 express. adobe.com and then search for 1:36:07 animate from 1:36:10 audio and then go in 1:36:13 and make a thing and this is so so what 1:36:17 hit me what what kind of struck me that 1:36:20 you know 1:36:22 right at the end of work 1:36:25 today I see that LinkedIn post about 11 1:36:28 Labs doing the voice actor thing then I 1:36:32 see the competition mouthing off in the 1:36:36 things and and they've got something 1:36:37 interesting then I went to the AI salon 1:36:40 and I saw a digital Gods post about this 1:36:43 tool and I'm starting to think like you 1:36:46 know you could very 1:36:48 easily you know take this and create a 1:36:52 little character and put it out in 1:36:53 social media that's that character could 1:36:56 get really 1:36:57 popular well let's say you're doing that 1:36:59 for 1:37:01 work depending on your employment 1:37:03 contract that's 1:37:05 probably the property of your employer 1:37:08 but what if you don't want it to be well 1:37:11 this is where I I keep going back to 1:37:13 this place of I think we're we're moving 1:37:17 into an era where we're all going to 1:37:20 become increasingly 1:37:22 aware of the value of our likeness and 1:37:24 our 1:37:26 outputs and we might want to have one 1:37:28 rep have have someone represent us to 1:37:31 say hey there I I will come work for you 1:37:33 and I will contribute certain things and 1:37:36 you can use my outputs but the rights 1:37:41 to um the likenesses I'm going to retain 1:37:45 or something like that I don't I don't 1:37:46 quite know yet so anyway let's let's go 1:37:48 watch our our dumb little pencil here 1:37:52 I'd like to talk to you about artificial 1:37:56 intelligence and how the fact that 1:38:00 everybody claims they're an expert but 1:38:03 really no one's an expert well I'm an 1:38:07 expert but no one else is no one's an ex 1:38:11 I'm not even an expert that was a lie 1:38:14 sorry I lied nobody knows what they're 1:38:17 doing everybody's lost nobody can keep 1:38:20 up 1:38:22 have you tried AI oh it's fun oh it's 1:38:26 fun can't you hear the excitement in my 1:38:28 voice anyway if you think you're behind 1:38:32 you're really not behind you're ahead 1:38:35 you're watching a pencil talk that's 1:38:41 AI 1:38:43 anyway I got to go teacher about to show 1:38:46 up so are the students I hate the 1:38:50 students they bite me they bite me a lot 1:38:54 I don't like it biting 1:39:00 hurts so yeah Danielle good point um so 1:39:03 if you say open an editor BEC so if you 1:39:07 don't know Adobe Express it's kind of 1:39:08 like canva right so I can just go in and 1:39:11 add 1:39:12 text let's see add your text and then I 1:39:18 want Source Sands 1:39:36 [Music] 1:39:49 fill with white 1:39:56 that's shitty 1:40:01 text there we go that's 1:40:04 better add your 1:40:12 text there are 1:40:18 no 1:40:20 experts 1:40:31 and then I think I can even put music 1:40:33 behind it so if I go 1:40:36 media so I'm over here on media and I go 1:40:45 [Applause] 1:40:48 audio let's go with that 1:40:50 one 1:40:52 and then I'll turn the audio way down 1:40:56 and then I'll hit play I'd like to talk 1:40:59 to you about artificial 1:41:01 intelligence and how the fact that 1:41:06 everybody claims they're an expert but 1:41:09 really no one's an expert well I all 1:41:13 right we'll make it 4% not 1:41:16 6% and then I could probably add more 1:41:19 [ __ ] to it but anyway so now I'm GNA 1:41:21 download it how do I do that 1:41:24 download 1:41:33 download all right starting 1:41:42 download pencil is a little dull 1:41:47 huh he's not the sharpest pencil in the 1:41:50 Box 1:42:02 well I'm an expert no one else is an 1:42:05 expert no I'm not an expert no one's an 1:42:11 expert um all right so I'm gonna go to 1:42:13 the to the 1:42:16 AI and I'm going to I'm going to show 1:42:19 and tell this bad bad Mamba 1:42:23 Jamba so I'm going to grab 1:42:28 it is this it I think this is it yeah 1:42:32 I'd like to talk to you about artificial 1:42:36 intelligence I'd like to talk to you 1:42:38 about artificial 1:42:41 intelligence he's not the 1:42:45 sharpest 1:42:48 pencil in the Box 1:42:52 thanks for whoever gave us that what 1:42:55 software was that again that was Adobe 1:42:57 Express go to new. express. adobe.com 1:43:02 and search for audio or animate from 1:43:07 audio and that's the tool you pick a 1:43:10 character you pick a background you pick 1:43:11 a aspect 1:43:13 ratio and then you just say 1:43:16 words and I would say since 1:43:20 the the choices that they give you are 1:43:22 such 1:43:24 dorky 1:43:25 illustrations make dorky stuff although 1:43:29 Danielle did one where she was just 1:43:30 talking like saying news stuff and it 1:43:32 was pretty good some someone responded 1:43:35 she would watch the news if it were told 1:43:37 in this 1:43:38 way life's like a box of 1:43:43 pencils all right so look I'm going to 1:43:45 be a good citizen and I'm going to 1:43:46 hashtag the crap out of this we're going 1:43:48 to go images cuz it's sort of an image 1:43:52 videos we used audio to record it and 1:43:56 it's Irregulars it was done here 1:44:01 tonight so let me post that I don't want 1:44:06 to notify all of the world about my 1:44:08 stupid little pencil 1:44:11 thing and as soon as that goes up 1:44:15 there pretty cool 1:44:18 huh but do do you get why I'm like 1:44:23 there's something about video is done 1:44:28 processing it doesn't look like it looks 1:44:32 like it's still 1:44:34 uploading oh that's a cool one Wizard of 1:44:38 Oz reimagined I'm playing with prompts 1:44:40 oh that's 1:44:42 cool I like that one 1:44:45 Rebel 1:44:47 ooh t-rock with the with the Mustang the 1:44:51 KY 1:44:52 Mustang that's 1:44:56 slick can you get a script from your 1:44:59 pencil 1:45:00 video yeah you know what you know what 1:45:02 source Camp I am going to show 1:45:05 you I'm going to show you the tool that 1:45:08 we just built for Story vine called the 1:45:12 authenticity engine I'll show you how I 1:45:15 can not only get a script for that 1:45:17 stupid pencil thing that I just did but 1:45:20 I get a whole bunch of other content 1:45:24 so all right come on I want to see my 1:45:27 pencil thing like live on the 1:45:30 internet this is so 1:45:33 annoying everything takes so 1:45:36 long turn on captioning on YouTube for 1:45:41 it 1:45:43 okay no I will well yeah YouTube will do 1:45:46 that but wait I'll show you my I'll show 1:45:49 you my cool ass tool 1:45:52 all right 1:45:55 so one of the questions I often get in 1:45:58 here is Sir what are your 1:46:03 qualifications I would like to know if 1:46:05 I'm going to spend my time on Tik Tock I 1:46:08 have invested 3 seconds in understanding 1:46:11 who you are I would like to know what 1:46:15 qualifications what are your 1:46:17 qualifications 1:46:18 sir why should I give you my time my 1:46:21 time is 1:46:23 valuable what are you doing I'm sitting 1:46:25 here watching TV and Tik tocking pencil 1:46:28 characters show up as the Irregulars 1:46:32 Persona why is this wait maybe I need to 1:46:36 reload the whole 1:46:38 page and then it'll all be there yes 1:46:42 it's there yay you did it 1:46:46 yay all 1:46:49 right I'd like to talk to you about 1:46:51 artificial 1:46:53 intelligence and how the fact 1:46:57 that all right so that is show and tell 1:47:00 so can I share my screen for show and 1:47:02 tell sure so let's go look at we we'll 1:47:05 go here and then we'll go down to the 1:47:06 Irregulars Channel and see what see 1:47:07 what's been going on down in the 1:47:09 clubhouse um so so think of Show and 1:47:12 Tell is for for everyone if you think 1:47:14 think something's good for the for the 1:47:16 whole Community that's show and tell if 1:47:18 you want to just do stuff kind of inside 1:47:19 jokey inside the club here um then 1:47:22 that's the Irregulars 1:47:24 channel so that's really beautiful 1:47:27 t-rock love 1:47:29 that me with the Box The Gardener of 1:47:32 code oh that's beautiful new member John 1:47:36 B new member already generating 1:47:39 generating and sharing stuff in the show 1:47:41 Intel love 1:47:43 it name this SC rap 1:47:49 Duo 1:47:52 that's 1:47:56 good very cool very 1:47:59 cool oh that's gorgeous who oh Sharon 1:48:03 mendenhal close-up of an insect's Wing 1:48:06 Sharon's been doing really interesting 1:48:08 stuff with insects like little kids 1:48:10 hugging insects like their pets like 1:48:12 their puppies and it's it's very 1:48:19 disturbing 1:48:29 having a conversation with a cooworker 1:48:30 about AI who is not engaging with AI and 1:48:33 she says have you heard about the Big 1:48:35 Mac with no pickles I give you my I give 1:48:39 you my what's it my challenge 1:48:41 response I give you my challenge D dour 1:48:45 goal make a Big Mac with no 1:48:49 pickles 1:48:52 that's [ __ ] awesome yeah sometimes 1:48:55 getting getting these things to do what 1:48:57 you want them to do is just impossible 1:49:00 that's really cool everyone knows now 1:49:03 that a muscle 1:49:05 car equals Apple for the teacher it's so 1:49:09 true I'm such a [ __ ] when it comes 1:49:13 to you know yeah if if you want to stop 1:49:16 me in my tracks just now I'm I'm more a 1:49:19 fan of you know late 60s early' 7s 1:49:22 muscle but everything from Mustang 2004 1:49:27 forward where they went back to the 1:49:28 retro design I'm okay with but it's got 1:49:31 to be like kickass like you know if you 1:49:34 see someone in this car you know they're 1:49:36 struggling with some 1:49:41 issues all right let's go look at the 1:49:44 uh Irregulars Channel see what we got 1:49:46 going on 1:49:48 there oh nice 1:49:51 folk remedies GPT works great with with 1:49:54 good cures and images look at the feet 1:49:56 in the 1:50:01 bucket all Lum mixed with that coca 1:50:05 colola day must have been something 1:50:07 that's 1:50:08 [Laughter] 1:50:10 awesome Corey Sandler doing this whole 1:50:13 series if you don't follow Corey Sandler 1:50:16 Pottery on Tik Tok you should follow her 1:50:18 because not only does she do cool lives 1:50:20 where she does Pottery she does cool 1:50:22 lives where she sings songs and now 1:50:25 she's doing cool lives where she either 1:50:27 shows you how she's doing [ __ ] in AI or 1:50:30 she's she's lately been going through um 1:50:33 she's been making videos that are like 1:50:35 series of images that are related this 1:50:37 is one of her serieses series recently 1:50:40 it's really 1:50:42 good math 1:50:45 magical 1:50:49 gorgeous 1:50:51 that one's really cool the music notes 1:50:53 in the 1:50:56 ice it's good to apply psych to your 1:50:59 prompting instead 1:51:01 of don't try positive actions yeah Janu 1:51:05 that's a really good point 1:51:08 um chat GPT seems to be functionally 1:51:12 incapable of not doing 1:51:15 something right so like create a burger 1:51:20 with an extra bun in the middle like a 1:51:22 cheeseburger with an extra bun in the 1:51:24 middle and a Patty on each 1:51:28 side that has a p that has a tomato and 1:51:31 lettuce and a bun and that's it but 1:51:35 don't say no pickles when you say don't 1:51:38 do this it tends to do 1:51:44 that uh oh let me show you the cool new 1:51:47 tool I made for Story vine and we we'll 1:51:51 do it with the 1:51:53 um with the little pencil thing 1:51:57 so my company storyvine is a it's a 1:52:01 video storytelling platform we've been 1:52:03 around for 11 and a half years and we 1:52:05 have an app that guide someone step by 1:52:07 step through telling their story so 1:52:10 it'll prompt them to introduce 1:52:11 themselves and then it'll prompt them to 1:52:13 talk about um you know how they were 1:52:16 diagnosed and how they've been treating 1:52:19 their condition and how they're doing 1:52:20 today and what are their hopes and 1:52:21 dreams for the future so they people 1:52:24 answer questions in the app it goes up 1:52:26 to the cloud 5 minutes later you've got 1:52:27 a fully edited video so we do that in 1:52:30 healthcare and Pharma space we do it for 1:52:32 nonprofits we're we've been around for 1:52:34 11 and a half years so over the past 1:52:37 year I don't know if you knew this but 1:52:38 I've gotten relatively enamored with 1:52:41 this thing called 1:52:43 Ai and it's taken me about a year to 1:52:47 really figure out how to incorporate AI 1:52:50 tools into what we've been doing in a 1:52:53 way that doesn't make it feel like a 1:52:55 frivolous 1:52:57 slap-on so what we created one of the 1:53:01 tools we created is this thing called 1:53:03 the authenticity 1:53:08 engine do 1:53:12 staging 1:53:14 dot AI oops wrong 1:53:18 URL a 1:53:29 did I spell that 1:53:33 wrong yeah 1:53:49 okay 1:53:53 case 1:53:54 sensitive case sensitive is 1:54:11 [Music] 1:54:13 [ __ ] 1:54:16 okay so the way this works is you upload 1:54:19 a video to it so we're going to go grab 1:54:22 our 1:54:23 little dumb D I'd like to talk to you 1:54:26 about artificial 1:54:31 int and what this thing 1:54:34 does oh is it shows you how slow my it 1:54:38 shows you how slow my internet uploaded 1:54:41 speeds are because this isn't that big a 1:54:47 file okay peeps tap the screen okay so 1:54:51 once this is 1:54:54 uploaded I'd like to talk to you about 1:54:57 artificial intelligence all right so 1:55:00 you'll notice what it says here is our 1:55:03 gnomes are hard at work and then boom 1:55:06 there's your transcript right so it 1:55:08 immediately goes in and 1:55:11 transcribes um the 1:55:13 video it then 1:55:16 creates a um title of video which you 1:55:20 can edit a description of the video key 1:55:23 messages the pace of AI development can 1:55:26 lead to a sense of being lost admitting 1:55:29 a lack of complete understanding can be 1:55:31 refreshing expertise in artificial 1:55:33 intelligence is often overstated it then 1:55:36 um chapter IES the video so it breaks it 1:55:39 into narrative 1:55:42 segments um and it even then creates a 1:55:46 set of prompting questions if you wanted 1:55:48 to interview other people and get a 1:55:50 similar kind of video what questions 1:55:52 would you ask them so it does all of 1:55:55 that in whatever that was 60 seconds 1:55:59 then I can flip over to the content 1:56:01 generation tool 1:56:03 and here let 1:56:06 me 1:56:10 uh I'll just leave it like that let me 1:56:12 just make this a little smaller um say 1:56:15 generate 1:56:16 all and it will start writing a blog 1:56:19 post hey confessions unveiling the E 1:56:22 expert myth so it starts writing a blog 1:56:25 post it writes in Instagram posts 1:56:28 hashtags and even grabs interesting pull 1:56:30 quotes snippet everybody claims they're 1:56:33 an expert but really no one's an expert 1:56:35 well I'm an expert but no one no one 1:56:38 else is no one's an expert I'm not even 1:56:41 an expert that was a lie like that's the 1:56:43 first snippet it grabbed that's really 1:56:47 good so so this is this is we call it 1:56:52 the authenticity engine so you start 1:56:54 with an authentic narrative core and 1:56:57 then you create a whole world of content 1:56:59 around 1:57:00 it so this is one of four tools that 1:57:04 I've built in the past two and a half 1:57:06 three months that I'm really excited 1:57:07 about 1:57:09 so yeah so now there you go there's your 1:57:12 script with time 1:57:15 code there's the 1:57:17 chapters the myth of universal expertise 1:57:21 in AI everyone feels lost perception of 1:57:24 being behind personal anecdote on AI 1:57:27 dislike for 1:57:30 students well so are the students I hate 1:57:33 the students they bite me they bite me a 1:57:37 lot I don't like it biting 1:57:42 hurts so that's that chapter dislike for 1:57:46 students so are the students I hate this 1:57:51 so anyway ain't that thing 1:57:55 slick thank you Cosmic lover yeah I know 1:57:58 I'm I'm I'm really excited about this 1:58:01 and then we've got a a video translation 1:58:04 tool um we've got a way to bring 1:58:07 personas to life so they bite 1:58:13 me nice work Kyle very cool thank you 1:58:17 yeah I now I now have qualifications 1:58:19 what you building did you build anything 1:58:21 in AI what are your qualifications you 1:58:23 big fat 1:58:24 Butthead so now I can show him 1:58:29 this I'm actually I'm actually really 1:58:31 happy with this and the clients the 1:58:33 clients that we're working with are kind 1:58:35 of like uh yeah this is uh amazing how 1:58:38 can I can where when can I how can 1:58:43 I 1:58:45 so dare you have it 1:58:48 people is that on Adobe 1:58:51 Express making the little pencil thing 1:58:53 was Adobe Express the tool that I just 1:58:57 showed you that created all the content 1:58:59 around that video that's a story Vine 1:59:02 proprietary uh tool that we just 1:59:15 created is he singing is this what he 1:59:17 does is this is what he does 1:59:20 things change is coming change is coming 1:59:26 change 1:59:28 change 1:59:42 change you can make 1:59:44 money 1:59:48 oh 1:59:50 what's in the basket which 1:59:53 basket which basket are you talking 1:59:55 about oh in 1:59:57 the the basket behind the 2:00:01 dude or you mean that box I don't know 2:00:03 what's in that box I don't have a b oh 2:00:05 that basket that basket nothing's in 2:00:08 that basket I can see through the 2:00:12 nothing 2:00:16 nothing 2:00:17 nothing nothing honey 2:00:24 best tools for product photography 2:00:28 [Music] 2:00:29 hacks you heard it through the grape 2:00:32 vine doj Story vine oh yeah 2:00:38 um there 2:00:41 are go to Future 2:00:48 pedia.com there are product specific AI 2:00:52 tools where you upload your product 2:00:54 photo and then it swaps out your your 2:00:59 background you can also do that really 2:01:01 easily in Photoshop with generative 2:01:05 fill the lotion is in the basket we 2:01:08 don't talk about the lotion on the lives 2:01:11 okay jeez of course there's lotion in 2:01:15 the basket a we don't talk about it 2:01:21 I've been told it was 2:01:24 inappropriate I like soft skin 2:01:28 okay jeez anyway not on the Tik 2:01:34 Tok it's not everybody new that you're 2:01:37 not supposed to talk about 2:01:45 it I really wish USA wait oh us that 2:01:50 tool on Story vine for 2:01:53 work oh I could use that 2:01:56 tool on Story vine for work yeah the the 2:02:00 problem with the tool right now is it's 2:02:02 kind of in an alpha stage it's not it's 2:02:04 not really ready for prime 2:02:07 time 2:02:10 um the the first customers that we end 2:02:14 up selling that to we're probably going 2:02:16 to also sell sort of C some output 2:02:20 development because even though I think 2:02:24 that these outputs are good someone else 2:02:26 is going to go well I want it like that 2:02:28 but I don't want that kind of thing I 2:02:29 want it like this and I want my URL in 2:02:31 it I want this and I want that and I 2:02:32 want that so until the tool is 2:02:35 sophisticated enough to do [ __ ] like 2:02:37 that 2:02:38 then you know if you work for a big 2:02:41 company with with budgets I'm happy to 2:02:44 talk but I don't like at this point it's 2:02:46 just not it's just not at a stage that 2:02:52 it it just ain't it just ain't there yet 2:02:56 it'll get there soon as I figure out 2:02:58 what we're going to do with it we we 2:03:00 don't right now we're trying to figure 2:03:02 out where the where the real value is in 2:03:04 the marketplace and and what problems it 2:03:07 actually solves so now that we have 2:03:09 something to show we're getting lots of 2:03:11 good feedback and then we got to turn 2:03:13 that into a product that we can sell and 2:03:15 that initially is probably going to be 2:03:17 like a semic custom kind of version of 2:03:20 it per client so if that's of interest 2:03:22 to you let let me know DM me and I'm 2:03:24 happy to talk about 2:03:26 it um do people have to sing hippo oh 2:03:30 sign Hipp ofor before they talk um with 2:03:36 storyvine generally not if if we're but 2:03:40 it's still like everything we do for 2:03:42 Pharma is considered high-risk Phi so 2:03:45 all of our all of our platform is is 2:03:48 safe for all that stuff 2:03:52 um and very 2:03:55 often our clients will contract with 2:03:58 patients and they'll have them sign all 2:03:59 that [ __ ] outside of the story Vine 2:04:01 process we can put together sign up 2:04:04 forms where if we've got people that we 2:04:06 don't know signing up for access to 2:04:08 Story vine templates then they can check 2:04:11 a box that says they're agreeing to all 2:04:12 that [ __ ] but for the most part that's 2:04:14 handled by our clients or the agencies 2:04:16 we work 2:04:18 with uh 2:04:19 [Music] 2:04:21 laughing Thunder it takes the lotion 2:04:24 from the basket and rubs it on its skin 2:04:26 did just you you're not supposed to say 2:04:29 these things out loud Library voices 2:04:31 people Library 2:04:33 voices I spent a few hours this past 2:04:35 weekend on chat GPT project but a little 2:04:38 frustrated too much 2:04:40 data yeah the here's here's what I can 2:04:44 promise you if you try to build anything 2:04:47 right now 2:04:50 and get it to 2:04:54 deliver consistently good results at 2:04:57 like a 2:04:58 98% 2:05:01 threshold with any AI tool you're going 2:05:04 to be 2:05:07 disappointed we've got this thing close 2:05:09 actually this thing I'm actually really 2:05:11 happy with it it does surprisingly well 2:05:14 on short content and long 2:05:17 content um but even still it kind of 2:05:19 Janks out so we made everything editable 2:05:24 because got to be able to edit the [ __ ] 2:05:27 that it makes 2:05:29 sometimes but it really it really is 2:05:31 cool like it's it's an amazing tool to 2:05:33 be able to just grab a video like like 2:05:38 we have a client right now that gave us 2:05:40 three videos storyvine videos tend to be 2:05:43 between 1 and five minutes they're 2:05:44 relatively 2:05:47 short and because we sort of break them 2:05:51 into modules before we capture them we 2:05:54 already know what the chapters are like 2:05:55 the whole point of Story vine is to 2:05:57 chapiz a story before you capture it and 2:05:59 just capture the chapters basically the 2:06:02 modules and so what this tool does is it 2:06:05 reverse Engineers a video and it re 2:06:07 chapiz it right so you could so our 2:06:10 client we said give us example videos 2:06:13 between one and five minutes long and 2:06:16 give us two of them and they give us 2:06:18 three that are all 14 minutes 2:06:21 plus just like come on you 2:06:24 [ __ ] but we uploaded the 14-minute 2:06:28 videos it chapter IES them beautifully 2:06:30 and it's it's really cool it it 2:06:32 modularizes them and makes them 2:06:35 infinitely reusable and remixable and 2:06:39 pretty cool what's the URL for the Adobe 2:06:42 Express audio just go to 2:06:45 new. express. adobe.com 2:06:49 and search for when you're there inside 2:06:52 the tool search for animate from 2:06:57 audio I don't know how you find the tool 2:07:00 otherwise I couldn't find it anywhere 2:07:02 but um digital gods did a screenshot and 2:07:05 I saw the name of the tool and then I 2:07:07 searched for it and that's how I found 2:07:08 it 2:07:10 so I don't [ __ ] know like Adobe 2:07:14 Express is one of those things where 2:07:15 it's it's just like a bucket of features 2:07:17 that adobe just keeps dumping [ __ ] in 2:07:19 kind of like canva they just keep 2:07:21 dumping [ __ ] 2:07:22 in and so the interfaces on these tools 2:07:25 are completely unusable but they're 2:07:27 pretty powerful 100 100,000 oh oh if we 2:07:31 hit 100,000 likes I'll do a dance I am 2:07:34 not twerking I will not twerk you will 2:07:37 get the twerking enthusiasm of the 2:07:42 pencil have you tried to build a my GPT 2:07:45 army with multiple gpts doing actions 2:07:48 with zappier I haven't yet um Suzanne 2:07:52 has um there there's a number of people 2:07:54 in the AI Salon that are doing stuff if 2:07:57 you didn't know it within chat GPT now 2:08:00 you can 2:08:02 reference gpts that you've built or that 2:08:05 you've looked 2:08:06 at so if you've got a GPT that just 2:08:09 specializes in writing sonnets and you 2:08:12 have another GPT that specializes in 2:08:16 analyzing Sonet data 2:08:19 and another GPT that specializes in 2:08:22 turning sonnets into beautiful paintings 2:08:25 you could be in a GPT talking about 2:08:27 something and just call up the sonnet 2:08:29 writing GPT have it write a sonnet call 2:08:33 up the analysis one have it analyze it 2:08:34 call up another one have it make the 2:08:36 image it's pretty 2:08:39 slick I 2:08:41 don't quite 2:08:44 know how I would use those right now my 2:08:47 my fear with gpts right now is I have a 2:08:49 feeling they're going to 2:08:51 get 2:08:54 different I don't I don't know what that 2:08:56 means I have a feeling they're going to 2:08:58 get better and in getting better they 2:09:00 get different and in getting different 2:09:02 it means whatever we did whatever we 2:09:05 think we figured out right now we 2:09:07 haven't back to the pencil nobody knows 2:09:10 anything I'm an expert I'm not really an 2:09:15 expert show a quick demo I joined after 2:09:19 a demo of what of the of the Adobe 2:09:23 Express 2:09:24 tool to repurchase video or content for 2:09:27 a different Channel use is great wish I 2:09:29 had that I mean if anybody wants to talk 2:09:32 about the authenticity engine for story 2:09:34 I'm happy to chat about it just just 2:09:36 know that it's we don't have pricing 2:09:39 locked down the product's not locked 2:09:40 down right now it's very much in Alpha 2:09:42 it's in Alpha stage it's still really 2:09:45 [ __ ] exciting I'm I'm really there's 2:09:47 there's a couple of new features we 2:09:48 going to add to it that I think are 2:09:50 going to make it like holy [ __ ] like 2:09:54 holy [ __ ] 2:09:55 good um that I'm excited about but but 2:09:59 we have a lot of development to do 2:10:01 before we get 2:10:04 there Earth rocker No Twerk 2:10:08 Zone the pencil needs to be merch needs 2:10:11 a merch site I know I need I also I'm 2:10:14 talking to Tobias about getting these 2:10:16 things you can make money with j 2:10:19 on a merch site I 2:10:23 I'm yeah there's a there's a lot of 2:10:25 stuff I got to do there's a lot of stuff 2:10:27 I got to 2:10:29 do um all right let me start my 30 2:10:31 minute goodbyes so if if you're new here 2:10:35 first of all welcome thanks for hanging 2:10:37 out with me on a Monday night TG am um 2:10:41 we're in a remarkable time right now and 2:10:44 it is amazing to be a part of this so 2:10:47 thank you for hanging out with me 2:10:50 me 2:10:52 and let's see sounds like Champ's 2:10:56 getting some cheese 2:10:59 cheese are you hiring we're not hiring 2:11:02 right 2:11:02 now we are not hiring right now 2:11:06 but thank you for 2:11:12 [Music] 2:11:15 asking 30 minute goodbyes okay 2:11:19 so let's life's tough it's tougher when 2:11:23 you're stupid let's get some [ __ ] going 2:11:27 here 2:11:29 okay first of all we're at 78,000 if 2:11:32 you're going to hit 100,000 you got to 2:11:34 get the carpal tunnel going 2:11:36 like I didn't I didn't come here tonight 2:11:40 for like 25,000 2:11:43 likes right it's like if you're not 2:11:45 doing 100,000 likes a night why are you 2:11:47 even live on Tik Tock I don't 2:11:52 know you you don't have to do that I 2:11:54 don't care but generally when I do that 2:11:57 they [ __ ] shoot up all right we're 2:11:59 already at 80 so you only have 20,000 to 2:12:02 go and and it's going to take me a few 2:12:04 minutes to say goodbye so tapy tap uh if 2:12:07 you get carpal tunnel that's on [ __ ] 2:12:09 you you have to be responsible for your 2:12:11 own tapping 2:12:13 habits you 2:12:15 know use lotion as appropriate 2:12:27 okay all 2:12:29 right if you like what you saw here 2:12:31 tonight if you learned some stuff if you 2:12:32 had some fun if you're like I want to 2:12:34 make a pencil 2:12:36 too 2:12:38 um keep coming back keep coming back if 2:12:42 you want to support the channel you can 2:12:44 subscribe to the lives that helps you 2:12:46 can buy the series I've got a video 2:12:48 Series in one of the corners here called 2:12:50 underhyped 2:12:51 that is a series of videos that talk 2:12:54 about why AI is a big deal um how to use 2:12:57 it how to prompt it how to not get 2:13:00 overwhelmed bunch of things like that 2:13:03 that supports you can follow the channel 2:13:05 so just however you follow Tik toks 2:13:08 follow 2:13:09 it cuz why would you not want to be a 2:13:13 part of this party every night and then 2:13:15 you know come back every night the other 2:13:17 thing you can do is go check out the AI 2:13:20 Salon it doesn't cost you anything thank 2:13:22 you Silver Fox doesn't cost you 2:13:25 anything it is a remarkable community of 2:13:29 people we just cracked a thousand on the 2:13:33 in the in our web 2:13:36 Community pencil is the new paper clip I 2:13:39 think it is I think pencil that pencil 2:13:42 video is going up on Tik Tok probably 2:13:44 tonight I think I'll put it up tonight 2:13:46 so so that's another way you can support 2:13:47 is when you see my pencil video go blow 2:13:50 it 2:13:50 up cuz I'm pretty sure the last video 2:13:53 that's up there is is my one where I'm 2:13:56 ranting I I haven't put up a more 2:13:58 positive actually you know what's funny 2:14:01 I watched the rant one again it's 2:14:03 actually a really positive message I'm 2:14:06 just pissed off at how I got 2:14:10 there so some people are like oh we're 2:14:13 sorry you're so sad Kyle I'm not sad I'm 2:14:15 just pissed off every time you tap the 2:14:17 screen Gemini bear gets its wings we're 2:14:20 at 90,000 people we're at 90,000 so go 2:14:24 to the salon. a that'll take you to a 2:14:27 link tree the top link there is to the 2:14:30 community and go to welcome to the AI 2:14:32 Salon read about the community read 2:14:34 about our values do that first I have 2:14:38 ADD it's short enough that you can read 2:14:40 it in like 30 2:14:42 seconds so read that 2:14:46 [ __ ] and if you resonate with the the 2:14:48 values if that sounds like good if 2:14:52 you're trying to here's here's the 2:14:55 deal I talk about there not being any 2:14:57 experts right now like I'm very serious 2:14:59 about that there are no experts in in 2:15:03 generative AI I'm not talking about in 2:15:05 machine learning and AI there are lots 2:15:06 of experts that have built the 2:15:08 foundation from which the generative AI 2:15:12 industry is going to be resting so 2:15:16 there's lots of experts under the hood 2:15:19 what I'm talking about is post chat 2:15:22 GPT chat 2:15:24 GPT Bard um piie Claude all of these 2:15:30 large language models you know Dolly 3 2:15:33 mid Journey Adobe Firefly for image 2:15:37 generation audio tools like 11 labs 2:15:39 andso to make songs um video tools like 2:15:43 Runway ML and paa all of these different 2:15:46 tools no one right now is an expert 2:15:48 they're changing on a weekly basis to to 2:15:52 just completely different 2:15:54 things no one can keep up so if you're 2:15:57 feeling like but I'm so far behind 2:15:59 you're 2:16:00 not we are all collectively so [ __ ] 2:16:06 early like 95% of the people on the 2:16:10 planet probably 2:16:12 higher have no [ __ ] clue what we're 2:16:15 doing are not using chat GPT Reg L have 2:16:19 not paid the 20 bucks for the fancy 2:16:22 version they've used it once or twice 2:16:24 they like I use sha PT yeah yeah yeah I 2:16:27 used it once uh it gave me something 2:16:29 incorrect so we're not going to be using 2:16:31 that 2:16:33 again there's a lot of that going 2:16:36 on well I don't use AI because it's it's 2:16:39 a the world's greatest plagiarism 2:16:41 machine a lot of that going on uh yeah I 2:16:45 don't use AI the robots are going to 2:16:46 kill us H I'm not interested in 2:16:49 contributing to uh Humanity's 2:16:52 demise lot of that going 2:16:56 on we're early we're early 100 th000 I 2:17:02 wish I could quit you 100,000 we hit 2:17:04 100,000 you people are amazing you can 2:17:06 stop doing that now you 2:17:08 know I don't it does like the likes I 2:17:11 don't think do 2:17:14 anything they're nice but I don't like 2:17:17 it's not like Tik Tok tracks them or 2:17:19 anything I don't think they they really 2:17:20 give a [ __ ] about them um but they are 2:17:24 it is cool to see the little hearts 2:17:25 going up it's it's very cool so thank 2:17:27 you 2:17:28 all so you're early 2:17:31 so so what's important in this stage of 2:17:36 a new tech era is being in 2:17:39 community because no single person can 2:17:42 keep up so when you're in a community 2:17:44 like the AI Salon that's full of people 2:17:47 that are cured ious and generous and 2:17:49 adventurous and collaborative and 2:17:51 inclusive and empathetic and full of 2:17:56 gratitude is that you really can come in 2:17:58 at any level and just say uh where do I 2:18:02 start and people will point you in the 2:18:04 right direction Peter Kaminsky will pull 2:18:06 you over to the AI 101 lab or you'll see 2:18:08 a a a a Mad Libs Challenge from Danielle 2:18:13 about making images or you'll get 2:18:14 inspired to share something you know 2:18:16 because of the Adobe EXP thing we looked 2:18:18 at tonight and you'll have a lot of 2:18:20 other people that are doing it too and 2:18:22 what what ends up happening is you'll do 2:18:25 something that you think is obvious to 2:18:27 you and it'll 2:18:29 be mindblowing to someone else ah I 2:18:34 hadn't thought of it like that and 2:18:35 that'll Inspire them to do something 2:18:37 else and then they'll do something and 2:18:39 it'll blow someone else's mind and so 2:18:41 it's it's like this 2:18:42 popcorn inspiration 2:18:45 game that's going on like 20 47 in in 2:18:48 that 2:18:50 Community AI is banned in my author 2:18:52 group yep and and again I mean I 2:18:57 understand why I've written seven 2:18:58 screenplays I've written a oneman show I 2:19:00 have a degree in acting like I 2:19:02 understand why writers groups are like 2:19:05 [ __ ] that 2:19:07 tool but it's a similar sentiment that 2:19:09 photographers said when digital 2:19:11 photography came out [ __ ] that it's 2:19:14 pixels are not 2:19:15 film it'll never be the say those aren't 2:19:18 real 2:19:22 photographs with writer groups in 2:19:26 particular you've got the most powerful 2:19:30 writing tool in the history of humanity 2:19:33 has just been Unleashed on anyone who 2:19:36 wants to [ __ ] play with 2:19:38 it and you have writers groups that are 2:19:41 like 2:19:42 nope not 2:19:44 interested 2:19:46 okay 2:19:48 and I appreciate it but like I think 2:19:51 what would be a more powerful thing is 2:19:53 to say hey we're a writer group and 2:19:56 we're going to we're going to honestly 2:19:59 discuss how these tools work in a 2:20:03 creative writing workflow right because 2:20:06 maybe you use chat GPT for research or 2:20:09 maybe you use it to organize your 2:20:10 thoughts and maybe maybe you figure out 2:20:13 as a group where the sacred spaces are 2:20:16 right okay the Sacred Space is when I 2:20:18 start writing dialogue [ __ ] chat GPT but 2:20:21 if I want to do research or if I want to 2:20:23 do organizing if I want to get my 2:20:25 thoughts together if I want to do 2:20:26 brainstorming there are a lot of places 2:20:29 I could use chat GPT if I want to use it 2:20:31 for for the professional side of my 2:20:33 career to write emails and to organize 2:20:36 things and to help me put together a 2:20:38 project plan to to sell my book and go 2:20:41 on tour and do my 2:20:43 marketing there's a lot of reasons why 2:20:45 you you you would use it or could use 2:20:49 it so why not have an author 2:20:53 group that says let's figure out where 2:20:56 each of our own personal sacred spaces 2:21:00 are and then let's talk about how we're 2:21:02 writing and let's talk about how we as 2:21:06 artists are 2:21:08 evolving as we use a tool that is 2:21:11 remarkably 2:21:13 powerful why not 2:21:15 that because fear 2:21:18 cuz anger cuz not understanding what 2:21:21 these tools are it's the world's 2:21:22 greatest plagiarism machine all the sort 2:21:24 of stuff we 2:21:28 hear and this stuff is not going 2:21:33 away it ain't it ain't going away so 2:21:37 anyway a 2:21:40 Sho I've been using it to research the 2:21:42 [ __ ] out of my novel yes perfect exactly 2:21:49 like have you used Google lately if 2:21:52 you've if you've used chat GPT to answer 2:21:54 questions and do research and then you 2:21:56 go back to Google and try to [ __ ] use 2:21:58 it it's 2:22:00 unusable you have to you have to dig in 2:22:03 four five six pages deep now to get past 2:22:08 all of the SEO injected sales funnel 2:22:11 sites to get to something that might 2:22:14 have the information that you then have 2:22:16 to go sift through 2:22:18 [ __ ] 2:22:20 that that's not only bad user experience 2:22:23 it's 2:22:24 unusable it doesn't work 2:22:28 anymore you type in to chat 2:22:32 GPT I'm writing a book that's said 2:22:35 around the time of the Mesopotamian War 2:22:37 I don't know anything about the 2:22:39 Mesopotamian War what should I know 2:22:40 about 2:22:41 it what were the big 2:22:44 battles were there any interesting love 2:22:46 stories that were discussed 2:22:50 why not meanwhile Google's fig figuring 2:22:53 out how to penalize AI Publishers harder 2:22:56 yeah yeah exactly it's crazy anyway all 2:22:59 right so thank you to anyone who shows 2:23:04 up here night after night there's 180 2:23:06 people in here right now on a Monday 2:23:09 night at [ __ ] you know 12:30 a.m. New 2:23:13 York time I'm in Denver it's only 10:30 2:23:15 my 2:23:16 time
