18. 3:37because some of the stuff that Google showed like four or five months ago was style drop and then what Dolly three showed today
19. 3:49holy crap if I were mid-journey I'd be like uh we better get our [ __ ] together that CEO ain't gonna do that though I I think

27. 5:14um this is AI learning lab we learn about Labs here no that's not true we're learning about AI everyone wants to know about AI it's all
28. 5:24the rage it's all the rage they're talking about it in the New York Post they're talking about it on the Today Show
29. 5:31what is this IA thing anyway what is internet we're we're in the Katie Turek you know that a with the circle around it we're
30. 5:41in that phase of AI right now so so so this channel is to go you know that Circle that a with the circle around it what is internet anyway
31. 5:53that's what this channel is all about uh so I'm an entrepreneur I'm a co-founder and CEO of a company called storyvine uh
32. 6:01I've been doing these lives now every night every flipping night for I don't know what's it been three months four
33. 6:09months something like that I started this channel back in December of last year right after I I was sort of into uh
34. 6:16stable diffusion image stuff and then chat GPT came out and I was like oh oh world just changed better get on this [ __ ]
35. 6:25um so so I've been doing this for a while and and what we do here is I'll answer any questions that you have thank
36. 6:31you Stevo I appreciate that and and then I'll walk you through some things like if you're like Kyle where how do I get started what do I do
37. 6:39Kyle it's so confusing what do I do Kyle oh Kyle so here's what we're gonna do dude I also sing between actions when I'm
38. 6:54like moving [ __ ] around I'm singing I'm whistling I don't know what's going on here um okay so this stuff
39. 7:06if you have not played with chat GPT go there right now just go there now just do it do it go there go there right now
40. 7:14um that's the official chat GPT website it's it's it will if if you haven't played with if you're like well it kind
41. 7:22of just looks like a Google search is it fancy Google it's it feels like fancy Google when you first start playing with
42. 7:27it but then you ask it to do some things that are more than Google and it just does them and it just answers your
43. 7:32questions and it'll write you a song and you're like but it can't be creative and then it's creative and then you're like
44. 7:36but it can't code and then it codes so just go there and start playing with it um Claude and Bard are two other things
45. 7:43that are worth playing with Bard just got a a pretty major upgrade um I can't for some reason seem to play
46. 7:51with the extensions on it but it's got extensions where you can now search across your Google drive documents in a
47. 7:58gpt-like manner it that's like holy crap but I can't get it to work right now because I don't know something must not
48. 8:04be enabled in my whatever doesn't matter Claude is also really interesting so all three of these are worth playing with
49. 8:10prompts.chat will teach you how to talk to these things share bear thank you for the gummy I love me a good gummy tasty
50. 8:17like a gummy I live in Denver though you got to be careful with your gummies here okay okay okay um okay so that's that that's the that's
51. 8:32the adult table for these large language models here's the Kids Table Bing is about to get booted off this [ __ ]
52. 8:38list because there's safety guard rails right now are making that thing actually unusable it's built on top of gpt4 it's
53. 8:45connected to the internet it can make images with with Dolly three it's going to be able to make really good images
54. 8:52but their safety guard rails are are so egregious right now it's really annoying you try to you try to do some basic work
55. 9:00with it and it just blocks you all the time so so that would that one's you know what we're gonna do with Bing watch
56. 9:05this take this Microsoft watch this you're gonna get dimmed look at that see how it's dimmer than the other ones it's fading out take that
57. 9:22ah labs.perplexity uh that lets you play with llamas meta two models and I think Bing is still too bright don't you
58. 9:32it should be just barely visible yeah that's good we'll do that um Pi Pi dot AI That's that's from a company called inflection
59. 9:45get yourself the PI app search for pi uh personal assistant and you'll be able to find it I'm pretty sure it's on Android
60. 9:53I know it's on iOS put it into talk mode so there's there's like two modes there's one where you thank you for the
61. 10:00thank you for the Llama Winston whoa limston Winston is up to level 20. the competition is steep on the level and up in here
62. 10:12will you attain level 33 only time will tell Winston is a is a 20 degree Master Tobias for each level 10 not bad that's solid
63. 10:25um anyway Pi Pi we we nicknamed pie chatty GPT in here uh it's chat GPT but it's it's designed to have a
64. 10:32conversation with really interesting and Poe lets you play with a bunch of different models uh including uh Claude
65. 10:40and uh open AI models so so that one's fun too okay so those are those now images if you want to start playing with
66. 10:47images this is too much now I I feel like I've got a you know I just screenshot this page um mid-journey is really good ideogram
67. 10:58can do text so what I mean by that is what do you mean it can do text like the beginning is here that image that image
68. 11:06that image all these images were done in ideogram and it can do text now I'm showing all the final ones you're like wow it's just
69. 11:14magic it does it perfectly every time now all of these tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] that's what we talk about in
70. 11:20here and ideogram's no exception um it you you can get something close to what you want about 12 of the time and then if you just keep
71. 11:32messing with it you'll eventually get something that's usable um but it's still pretty good Dolly Three is coming and it's going to be
72. 11:39amazing okay um what else um leonardo.ai is built on top of stable diffusion and it's a really good interface hey Jen
73. 11:50there are a bunch of tools like hey Jen that do voice synthesis and animated faces but hey Jen snuck out a little feature
74. 12:00that kind of hit hit uh uh got everyone all excitable uh in the past two weeks or so called video translate so if you go to labs.hagen.com
75. 12:15you can upload a video in English and translate it into up to eight languages and here's here's a ping pong kind of
76. 12:25edit I did of me speaking English and then speaking the same little section in Italian so we've heard from a number of clients
77. 12:34that modular content is important to them getting more efficient with how we create content and how we leverage content is
78. 12:47so you'll notice the lips are synced the voice is the same the accent's good uh Emilio's wife who's in here speaks
79. 12:56Italian fluently and has vouched that indeed I speak fluent Italian I couldn't tell you if I did because I don't speak
80. 13:03fluent Italian but apparently now I do so that's hey Jen that's just sitting buried in their lab section then you've
81. 13:10got Adobe Firefly and Photoshop generative fill those came out of beta about two weeks ago now we have Dali
82. 13:16coming and we have whatever the hell Google's gonna release with Gemini assuming there's going to be some image
83. 13:21thing in it so the image generation space is getting as noisy as the chat gbt space um openart.ai prompt book will teach you
84. 13:30how remarkably deep these things are future PD is just a big pile of tools um I'm also I've been invited to do a
85. 13:38workshop uh with a woman named Rhonda Phillips so this is a workshop a three-part workshop for creatives so if you want to dig deep
86. 13:47um we're doing um kind of General AI overview for Workshop one we're doing using AI in business so some specific use cases for
87. 13:57business for workshop two and then we're doing Advanced AI things like voice synthesis and animation and and video
88. 14:03and things like that for workshops three so if you go to rhondasvoice.com events you can see all that info there
89. 14:12um I'll be teaching that and uh yeah it's it's for creatives but you know this this stuff is you can apply it to
90. 14:20pretty much [ __ ] anything so even though that's designed for creatives whether you're creative or not there's
91. 14:24probably something there to play with anyway before we get started will he ever start it seems like he never starts all he's
92. 14:34doing is talking is this just an informational Channel why are there so many slides I didn't come to tick tock to watch a PowerPoint

102. 15:58lives the people that show up regularly are called the Irregulars they name themselves I didn't this is not a
103. 16:04disparaging thing they claimed it I just supported it I like it they're odd they're very odd um they have a channel on the Discord
104. 16:13we've kind of infiltrated the Discord and there's it's a lot of fun there's a lot of stuff going on in there
105. 16:19so we can you know things we talked about in here we can share on there and things like that so join us along go there um storyvine

115. 17:32questions well as many as I can Silver Fox do you have to get an invite for dolly or will it magically appear in GPT
116. 17:39paid so what they said is that it will um it will it'll go first to chat GPT Plus members so if people in here ask me about you
117. 17:50know is it worth paying for chat GPT Plus in my opinion yes because you get to play with the new [ __ ] and the new
118. 17:57[ __ ] that's coming holy crap it looks good let's let's go look let's go play let's go play shall we it's gonna be so

121. 18:30hearty heart you you can follow along um so a couple of things if you haven't heard of Dali it's it's open ai's image generation tool so if
122. 18:43you go to bing.com and you type make me an image of an avocado it'll do it for the most part it's really crappy make
123. 18:50sure you don't have voice recognition on when you tell Bing how shitty its images are because I did it the other night and
124. 18:57it took offense and shut the conversation down it was pretty funny Bing is insecure so just make sure your
125. 19:04voice recognition isn't on when you tell it how shitty its images are but Dolly three um is coming right and and a couple of
126. 19:13things about it it's going to be built into chat GPT so so sort of in line within chat CBT you're going to be able
127. 19:19to make images I have a feeling that that the fact that you don't have to like go to a mid journey and then you
128. 19:25know go back and forth between chat GPT and image generation I have a feeling that's going to be a bigger deal than
129. 19:30than people are getting the other thing that this looks like it does is it takes very sophisticated prompts and deals with them well
130. 19:38um like the prompt here this is um it can do text and look at the details in the prompt an illustration of an avocado sitting in a
131. 19:47therapist's chair saying I just feel empty inside with a pit sized hole in the center right it's a hole it's not a pit
132. 19:55the therapist a spoon he's a spoon scribbles notes um let's see this this one's stunning look how long that um
133. 20:10The Prompt is and look how beautiful this image is so this is mid-journey level level goodness um her attire resembles a whirlwind of
134. 20:24marble and Porcelain fragments illuminated by a gleam of scattered porcelain shards creating a dreamlike
135. 20:31atmosphere the dancer manages to appear fragmented yet maintains a harmonious and fluid form yeah and if you're if you're sitting
136. 20:44there thinking but Kyle I don't have a PhD in literature and linguistic composition it's okay because one of the things that they're
137. 20:55claiming is that um GPT the chat this image generation Dolly three within chat gbt it will be able to prompt itself so you can say make me a
138. 21:08really good prompt for this basic idea and it will write its own prompt and then and then it follows them in detail
139. 21:15um so that's pretty slick where's how do I close this there we go um this is another one that shows um some specifics of of just like
140. 21:30um how much detail you can put in a prompt that is actually captured in the image so up here it says sidewalks
141. 21:36bustling pedestrians enjoying a nightlife this says a bustling Street and shine of a of a full moon so it
142. 21:43captured the full moon it's got bustling life she says on the corner a young woman with fiery red hair dressed in a
143. 21:51signature velvet cloak is hang is haggling with the grumpy um vendor and then the description of the vendor is a grumpy vendor tall
144. 22:03sophisticated man wearing a sharp uh a sharp something suit Sports a noteworthy mustache which he's got in an animated it's it's animatedly
145. 22:18covering his steampunk telephone which is here which he's talking on so this is some really sophisticated stuff
146. 22:27now wait it gets better oh this was this was just another one there's Dolly too with with like a basketball player
147. 22:34dunking in in let's see depicted as an explosion of a nebula but you're like okay that's pretty pretty it kind of
148. 22:41looks like LeRoy Neiman if you remember him from the 70s and 80s but check out Dolly three that's that's the same prompt in Dolly
149. 22:51three that's an explosion of a nebula right and it's you know he's clearly dunking it's not just some abstract it's
150. 22:58you know he's just [ __ ] laying it down yeah but how many prompts did it take to get that quality I don't know what
151. 23:06you're talking about for Dolly I have no idea for uh ideogram I can tell you um you can be cynical about it and and
152. 23:16and and sit on the sidelines and say yeah well they're only showing you the best ones they've shown us the best ones
153. 23:22but if you've worked with mid-journey um and tried to get it to do stuff consistently and predictably it's almost
154. 23:30impossible and if you've ever tried to get mid-journey to include more than a main subject it's it's insanely frustrating
155. 23:40um so it's it's it's looking like it's looking like this is going to be quite good um and the other thing one of the other
156. 23:47things and this is this is a question I feel all the time in in this group and elsewhere in my life is if I create a
157. 23:57character that I like in mid-journey how do I keep the character across prompts right like if I create a character for a
158. 24:05children's book I want that character to be in all the scenes of the children's book I don't want it to be a new
159. 24:10character each time which is kind of what it does now watch this video I'll play I'll play enough of it here that we see
160. 24:23wrote its own prompts for a hedgehog so so what it said is my daughter my daughter says his name is Larry
161. 24:39right so it made a thing he picked one and then he's typing a prompt about this image my daughter says its name is Larry
162. 24:46can I see more like this and now it keeps Larry foreign can you show me Larry being kind-hearted
163. 25:02there's Larry being kind-hearted could you design some stickers there's Larry on some stickers Derek wrote the story
164. 25:16can I see Larry at the end where he's happily dreaming there he is peacefully dreaming at the end like if you've ever tried to get to get
165. 25:27mid-journey or any of these things to consistently do that you can sort of do it with control net and stable diffusion
166. 25:34and there's ways you can sort of hack around it but you can't just say that character's Larry and now let's start interacting with Larry so
167. 25:43you know will it be as good as it's purported to be um it's at least gonna be better than Dolly too will the quality be as good as
168. 25:54mid-journing probably not but I don't know I don't know who knows what it's been trained on I mean they have some resources so so it's very
169. 26:04possible I mean I I heard I heard you know kind of rumors that what openai was playing with from an image perspective
170. 26:12was really good this looks quite impressive so anyway all right that's that pop any questions you have in the

196. 30:39click on it copy their prompt or there's this thing called remix where you're going to use their image as a base image um [Music]

209. 32:57understand why and then and then strength 50 so if we want it to look okay so they're going in increments of 25.
210. 33:04so strength 25 strength 50 strength 75 strength 100 so I assume strength 100 will look just like that we'll go
211. 33:11strength 50 because I kind of like the layout but we want something different and then we say generate and it will do its thing so you can
212. 33:23either you know generate an original image or you can just you know start with someone else's or you can remix your own
213. 33:29um one of the things about ideogram is it will get the text wrong a lot but if you get something where it's kind of
214. 33:35close where there's at least kind of placeholders for this stuff um then then uh just keep just keep sort of remixing that or just you know
215. 33:45re-running that prompt and it'll you'll generally get it um I'm not a robot goodbye I'm not a blank goodbye

228. 36:07its image quality is kind of the same quality as Dolly 2 which is kind of shitty so it isn't quite there when I look at the
229. 36:19the one example that they showed for Dolly three that looked really tight so I have a sneaking suspicion that Dolly
230. 36:27three is gonna leave these guys in the dust so I just I made a video on the dolly three thing uh for the channel earlier and and
231. 36:38how I started out the the video something I say in here all the time all of these tools that I tell you to go use
232. 36:44and and you know are on these lists that I've got you know these three and then the the the the four other ones and then the image things
233. 36:53these lists are changing regularly because the tools are improving and and they're just going to keep wanting one upping one another so

305. 48:52I would I would look into a tool like zapier that does automation and what you can likely do and I've
306. 48:59built I've built a couple of these tools what you can likely do if you can get the prompting dialed in to generate a
307. 49:06blog post that doesn't suck then using zapier you could look at RSS feeds and say hey anytime in this RSS
308. 49:15feed for for this site they write an article about X Y or Z summarize that article send that summary with your blog prompt
309. 49:28over to open AI to gpt4 get that blog post back and then you can publish it to some website you could do that through zapier so
310. 49:37I I am much more a fan of rolling your own on that even though a tool may exist why because we're so early in this stuff that the amount
311. 49:51you will learn about how these things work in doing it yourself will be invaluable to you because as these tools

338. 54:35can just pick a template pick a Blog template pick one you like learn enough about it to like upload your logo you
339. 54:42know and and figure out how to add a blog post and then go use chatgpt or Claude or Bard or you know one of the
340. 54:50large language model tools to help you start writing blogs and and generate the content and get good at that and then you
341. 54:57literally just copy and paste you know from chatgpt into your blog template it'll look beautiful and it'll be
342. 55:03functional and it'll be mobile friendly and all that sort of [ __ ] so unless you it if your goal is to turn into a web
343. 55:13developer that's a different story right if you say hey I want to learn AI web development using these tools and I'm

402. 1:04:17on right I was doing this in New York City at the time we were building websites for the Fortune 500 it was it was absolute insanity

404. 1:04:37in podcast this was his magazine that's me on the copy of silicon alley reporter um it was crazy times and
405. 1:04:51the same thing's happening right now where these two because these tools are so powerful you can kind of get a glimpse

562. 1:28:53seven of the screenplays that I've written as PDFs and then I started interacting and asking chat GPT to compare you know
563. 1:29:01what what were the things that the screenplays had in common and you know character breakdowns and [ __ ] like that it was amazing okay
564. 1:29:08so we've got an archive a zip file in here I don't know what's in it and what we're going to say to chat gbt is open this archive and
565. 1:29:23read the data files inside and tell me what they are and what you think is the most interesting about them so
566. 1:29:36I didn't have to write any SQL queries for that I didn't have to write any python I just said hey what's in this
567. 1:29:45file kind of like you might say if you had a data analyst that worked at your company or someone that understood data
568. 1:29:51and you're a clueless CEO that's like uh could you tell me what this is so one thing that I'll show you here that's really fascinating
569. 1:30:00I think is when you run code interpreter it actually creates what's called a container it's like a little sort of
570. 1:30:09like an instance of of a PC running inside your chat session and inside that container it's got access to python
571. 1:30:18libraries and so when you tell it to do [ __ ] it writes its own python code and executes it so so it imported some
572. 1:30:26libraries to be able to read the zip file it looked at what was in there unemployment data in America per state
573. 1:30:34um so it says the archive contains a file name's unemployment data let's take a look at the contents of the CSV file
574. 1:30:41so it opened up the pandas Library it looked at the first couple of rows of the data and said well here's all of your columns
575. 1:30:50there's fips code there's State there's year there's month and don't forget I didn't just tell it I didn't just ask it to tell me what's
576. 1:30:59in the file I said what's interesting about it so the first thing it did was it looked at the the kind of data so it
577. 1:31:05says given the nature of the data set it provides a comprehensive view of the unemployment situation in various U.S
578. 1:31:10states across different years and months some of the potential interesting analyzes we can conduct include Trends
579. 1:31:19over time comparative analysis seasonal patterns let me know if you'd like to delve deeper I'm intrigued by the seasonal patterns period
580. 1:31:32please do analysis that you think makes the most sense to reveal the trends in that context and visualize them in a visually stunning way
581. 1:31:46that will make it easy to understand what the trends represent and if it sounds like oh he really knows
582. 1:32:00what he's talking about there I've just done this demo enough now that I kind of know what to say um it may or may not work but
583. 1:32:08so so what it's doing now it's writing its own prompts right it's saying sure to explore the seasonal patterns of
584. 1:32:14unemployment we can consider the following things first we'll aggregate the data by month across all years to
585. 1:32:21see if there are any consistent monthly patterns visualization then we'll create a line plot to visualize monthly blah blah blah so
586. 1:32:34it writes some python code to look at data across the years the other thing this does which is amazing is if if
587. 1:32:42you've got unstructured data or dirty data you know how sometimes people type in dates in different formats where they
588. 1:32:48don't fill in all the fields and and a big part of data analysis is cleaning up data this will just [ __ ] clean it up
589. 1:32:56it'll clean it up it'll write it into new data frames you can even have it export um you can have it export um
590. 1:33:07what's it called uh CSV files or Excel files things like that all right so April average monthly unemployment rates April
591. 1:33:20is the highest March is oh no December is the lowest okay oh that makes sense so so in December right when when they've
592. 1:33:33hired for Christmas season right so as we get closer to Christmas they're hiring hiring hiring so unemployments
593. 1:33:41it's only going down by a percentage point but anyway but that's that now I could say um that chart isn't very compelling could you do
594. 1:33:56something that is visually more interesting and make it pretty I know data analysts are probably not in the in the business of making things

616. 1:37:52I think I think the reason the the Kindle you know algorithms are booting so many AI written books is that people are just
617. 1:38:02doing the lazy thing they're they're not actually writing a book They're saying hey AI write a book and it writes something
618. 1:38:09that looks like a book but they're not actually reading it and editing it and again applying their critical thinking
619. 1:38:15the best artist that I know that are using AI are not it's not like you type in a Google prompt and it spits out a
620. 1:38:25novel that's what uh uh GPT author does but when you read it you're like okay the chapters are kind of incomplete and

743. 1:57:56so an entire screenplay an entire novel an entire PDF of an annual report whatever it might be it doesn't choke on big documents

902. 2:24:22sort of structure and Cadence of that particular poem and when it writes a poem it will likely write something in your thing now if you say
903. 2:24:32you know my favorite novel is War and Peace and then you try to paste in War and Peace it won't do it it can only do three thousand words so
904. 2:24:43War and Peace is way too long for that now it may know what War and Peace is because everyone's written about it and blah blah um
905. 2:24:53so how to get it to to um you know sort of mimic your voice is tell it here's the things I value or give it a piece of writing now it's
906. 2:25:05going to have to be relatively short that hurts my brain thinking about it uh I don't know what we were talking about but that's funny um
