0:09 She came out in like slow motion cold
0:13 front.
0:17 His bill was warmer than a look in her
0:20 eyes.
0:23 She sat on a stool [music] and he
0:26 [singing] said, "What do you want?"
0:30 She said, "Give me a love. Don't freeze
0:33 up in sight."
0:42 GOOD EVENING, GOOD PEOPLE. WHAT is
0:44 happening? Welcome to the AI Learning
0:46 Lab pre-show.
0:48 It is the pre-show. This is the show
0:51 before the show.
0:53 I'm here without producer Brandon.
0:55 Brandon
0:56 >> [music]
0:57 >> is in the AI Salon mastermind right now.
1:01 Teaching the good people how to use
1:03 Lovable to vibe code an app.
1:07 It's a four-week course that started
1:08 tonight.
1:11 >> [music]
1:15 >> So, tonight on the AI Learning Lab So,
1:17 the AI Learning Lab starts at 7:30
1:19 Mountain Time. It is now 7:11 Mountain
1:21 Time. So, we've got some amount of
1:23 minutes until that happens. There's
1:24 Silver Fox. What's happening, Silver
1:26 Fox?
1:27 Here for the pre-show?
1:29 So, we're going live in the AI Salon in
1:31 just a few minutes.
1:34 >> [music]
1:41 [music]
1:59 >> So, if you're on X, I think I put the
2:02 link to the to the live so the the AI
2:05 Learning Lab live starts at 7:30
2:07 Mountain Time.
2:09 If you're on LinkedIn or YouTube, uh
2:12 it's it's it's right in the description.
2:15 Just click on the link that'll take you
2:16 straight into where the the live
2:17 stream's going to be. If you're on X or
2:20 if you're on
2:22 uh X or
2:26 TikTok. That one.
2:28 Uh it's in my bio. Wherever my bio is.
2:30 Where's my bio? Down there? Up there? Up
2:31 there? Is that it? I think that's it.
2:34 Click that or that or I don't
2:36 Whatever. You'll figure it out. You're
2:38 on TikTok.
2:39 You're clever enough to figure out
2:40 TikTok. You can figure out how to get to
2:41 my bio.
2:43 So the link for the AI Learning Lab live
2:45 is there. What are we going to talk
2:46 about tonight? So Wednesdays,
2:49 so the new format, so here's what's
2:50 going on.
2:52 The AI Learning Lab live used to live
2:54 out here in all these different
2:56 channels, and we're now moving it inside
2:59 the AI Salon, which is it's actually
3:01 tightly coupled with the AI Salon. It's
3:03 just we never really talked about it
3:04 like that. And and and did anything like
3:08 that. So it's going live inside the AI
3:09 Salon.
3:11 And we've got a new format. So it's
3:12 Monday, Wednesday, Friday. So Monday is
3:14 big idea night or big news item night.
3:17 Wednesday is let's figure out how to do
3:19 something
3:21 night. So tonight
3:24 is going to be about using the world's
3:27 most powerful
3:28 um
3:30 visual reasoning engine.
3:34 I'm just going to leave it at that.
3:36 We're going to play with the world's
3:37 most powerful visual reasoning engine.
3:40 You know, I got lots of visual reasoning
3:41 engine, Kyle. That sounds fascinating.
3:44 I must need to learn some sort of new
3:45 mathematics for that. No,
3:48 you don't. But it's going to blow your
3:50 absolute freaking mind
3:52 what we're able to do now
3:55 with a visual reasoning engine.
4:00 The first one that I experienced was
4:02 nano banana
4:04 >> [music]
4:05 >> and this is better than that.
4:07 And so that's a 7:30 and then Fridays
4:10 are going to be ask me anything night.
4:11 So it's Friday night date night
4:14 and
4:16 it'll be an AMA. So you can come if you
4:18 want me to show you how to use
4:19 something, if you have questions, if you
4:20 want to talk philosophy, you want to
4:21 come in and troll me,
4:24 do that.
4:27 >> [music]
4:32 >> Hey Jason, well this is the pre-show. So
4:34 you're in the pre-show. The real show
4:36 goes live at 7:30. Goes live in the AI
4:38 Salon.
4:39 You can click on the link in my bio. You
4:42 can click on the link in the description
4:44 on YouTube or LinkedIn.
4:46 Look, the AI summary pre-show for the AI
4:49 learning lab. Exploring a visual
4:51 reasoning engine. Yeah, man. We're going
4:53 to be doing that.
4:58 >> [music]
5:03 >> What's happening Andy?
5:05 What's shaking? What's going down?
5:16 >> [music]
5:30 [music]
5:32 >> Welcome everybody. Welcome, welcome to
5:34 the AI AI learning lab pre-show.
5:38 It's 9:14. You're 2 hours behind. Oh,
5:40 it's 9:14.
5:42 Yeah, well so listen, here's the deal.
5:44 Part of the reason we're going live
5:47 uh 7:30 instead of 8:00 is uh it was
5:50 rude to the people on the East Coast.
5:52 I'm a New York Yorker at heart.
5:55 I'm living in Denver. I'm living in a
5:56 cow town.
5:58 I think people here Here's the thing
6:00 about Denver. You can call it a a cow
6:03 town.
6:04 And if you're not from here, you'd
6:05 think, "Well, that's kind of offensive."
6:07 But people from here, they're like,
6:08 "Yeah, love loves me a good cow."
6:12 They're like they're fans of their
6:14 cattle.
6:22 >> [music]
6:23 >> So, the AI Learning Lab live is going
6:26 live at 7:30 inside the AI Salon. So,
6:28 you can link in LinkedIn, it's in the
6:30 description. In YouTube, it's in the
6:33 description. In TikTok and X, it's in my
6:36 profile. Just click on the link, that'll
6:37 take you straight over to the AI Salon.
6:40 You don't need to hang out here. We're
6:41 just hanging out. Tonight, Wednesday
6:44 night is is
6:46 build or explore a tool night.
6:50 And so, tonight we're going to play with
6:52 the world's
6:53 >> [music]
6:54 >> most powerful
6:56 visual reasoning engine.
7:01 Good lord, that sounds fancy.
7:03 It's so fancy.
7:08 >> [music]
7:12 >> Colorado and Vermont are interchangeable
7:14 in so many ways.
7:16 >> [snorts]
7:16 >> I know, pride of cattle, pride of
7:17 cattle, you know, that's that's one of
7:19 them.
7:20 >> [laughter]
7:23 [music]
7:29 [music]
7:40 >> Um let's see. What do you think, champy?
7:44 So,
7:47 some really interesting things
7:48 happening.
7:50 Um
7:52 Nvidia today announced
7:55 um a partnership with a I guess it's a
7:57 startup.
8:00 But
8:01 for free,
8:03 this startup is going to this So, this
8:06 is wild. Okay.
8:09 So, the way the electric grid works is
8:11 they produce way more energy than they
8:13 need because they need to have capacity
8:16 in case there's a spike, right? In case
8:19 weather spikes or whatever.
8:21 And so, like for my household, whatever
8:25 the the the amount of electricity is I
8:28 use, it's somewhere in the 1 to 3, I
8:31 don't know, kilowatt range or kilowatt
8:33 per hour range, something like that. The
8:35 capacity for this house is like 48,
8:38 right? So, I don't know what the actual
8:41 thing is after the number, but the
8:42 numbers are like the house uses 1 to 3,
8:45 and the capacity for the house is 48.
8:48 So,
8:49 that's an over capacity of 45 of the
8:53 things. I'm guessing kilowatts.
8:58 That's a lot.
8:59 And so, what what Nvidia and this
9:02 startup company announced today is
9:04 they've basically built these
9:06 these GPU servers
9:09 that they mount to the outside of your
9:11 house
9:12 that sits on the other side of the meter
9:15 that the electric company is
9:19 providing you electricity for. Or or it
9:21 sits in between I don't know where it
9:22 sits, but it's basically
9:24 it's it's not requiring additional
9:28 electricity from the grid. It's using
9:30 the spare capacity that's just sitting
9:32 there that your house isn't using.
9:34 Is how I understand it. I don't know
9:36 enough about how this [ __ ] works.
9:38 But it's like sitting sitting under your
9:41 house is a cluster of like six Blackwell
9:44 GPUs with
9:45 384 GB of of RAM.
9:50 >> [laughter]
9:51 >> And I assume if it's attached to your
9:52 house, you're able to use that thing,
9:55 too. But basically,
9:57 they're they're they're Instead of
9:59 building giant data centers, they're
10:01 going to basically slap a bunch of these
10:02 things on houses. So anyway, I think
10:04 that's absolutely wild.
10:06 So that happened today.
10:09 So let's see. It's 7:19, so in 10
10:11 minutes we're heading over to the AI
10:13 Salon.
10:14 We're going to jump into the AI Salon.
10:17 We're going to start the the live. This
10:18 is the pre-show for the AI Learning Lab
10:20 live. If anyone there on Robert Ross's
10:23 here, fantastic. What's happening,
10:25 Robert Ross?
10:26 Mr. Nice Guy's here.
10:28 Jason's here.
10:33 >> [music]
10:37 >> There was another thing that I saw on
10:39 the TikTok that I on the Twitter that I
10:41 thought was interesting.
10:43 Um
10:45 >> [clears throat]
10:55 >> Oh, this is another thing. Okay, so this
10:58 was this was something that I couldn't
10:59 understand.
11:01 So Anthropic announced today that
11:03 they're doing a deal with SpaceX
11:05 for extra
11:07 GPU capacity.
11:09 And then they're they're doubling rate
11:11 limits on Claude. So So one of the
11:14 things we talked about on Monday
11:16 was
11:17 Anthropic versus OpenAI. And like
11:20 Anthropic was siphoning away customers
11:22 from OpenAI. And then they launched 4.7
11:25 and they started rate limiting the [ __ ]
11:27 out of people and they turned down the
11:28 intelligence on their
11:30 Opus 4.7.
11:32 And then everyone was like, well
11:34 Chat GPT 5.5 is better than that, so
11:37 people started migrating back. And and a
11:39 lot of people have been bitching about
11:41 getting rate limited on Claude. Well,
11:43 apparently today they cut a deal with
11:45 SpaceX to use their GPUs that I guess
11:48 they're not using, but I don't
11:49 understand that cuz Elon Musk is using
11:51 all that [ __ ] for xAI.
11:54 So, do they have spare capacity? I don't
11:56 understand what's happening.
11:58 But but Anthropic announced today that
12:01 they're doubling rate limits for Claude
12:02 and Claude code and they're they're
12:04 making the Opus models cheaper, all
12:06 sorts of stuff like that. I hate rate
12:08 limits. OpenAI is doing it as well.
12:10 Yeah, I know. It's really annoying.
12:13 It's very very annoying. It's very
12:15 annoying.
12:19 In a westerly direction
12:23 >> [music]
12:24 >> this car is my train.
12:28 I've been driving, I've been wondering
12:33 what it is I'm running from again.
12:37 Feel like an 80-year-old man
12:41 holding on to 29.
12:45 And up ahead on that horizon
12:49 is [music] a California line.
12:57 >> [music]
13:04 >> Wind Rider just sent the first gift. Big
13:06 move. Thank you, Wind Rider. Appreciate
13:08 that. Any gifts are greatly appreciated.
13:11 Um welcome, everyone. This is the
13:14 pre-show for the AI Learning Lab Live.
13:16 We are going live on
13:19 uh
13:20 the AI Salon.
13:22 Um if you don't feel like finding the
13:24 link, there's a link in the description
13:26 in YouTube and in LinkedIn.
13:30 Um, there's a link in my profile in X
13:33 and in TikTok.
13:35 Or you can just go to
13:36 community.thesalon.ai.
13:38 That's what's scrolling across the
13:39 screen there.
13:40 Uh, for those of you uh, watching the
13:42 StreamYard stream.
13:44 And that starts at 7:30. So, in 7
13:46 minutes we're going to be heading over
13:48 there. If anyone has any questions
13:50 before we go, I'm happy to answer
13:51 questions, too.
13:54 My pleasure. I'm always glad to catch
13:55 you when I can. Yeah, WindRider, jump
13:57 over to the salon. Watch us over there.
13:59 So, we'll officially kick off the live
14:01 at 7:30.
14:03 Tonight we are uh, I'm going to play
14:05 with I'm going to like really dive deep
14:07 into
14:09 understanding like I want to understand
14:13 these new image models that are coming
14:15 out are not just picture-making models.
14:19 They're way beyond that. They have
14:21 reasoning. They have logic.
14:23 They're taking kind of the full power
14:26 of the latest frontier models and
14:28 they're applying it to generating images
14:31 and it's getting crazy good.
14:33 So, that's what we're going to explore
14:35 tonight. So, I'm calling them visual
14:38 reasoning engines rather than image
14:40 models because they're not just about
14:41 images.
14:43 And
14:44 I've got a flash goal according to
14:46 TikTok. I bet it involves you giving me
14:50 hearts or something.
14:52 You going to heart me up?
14:54 Hey Kinga, what's happening? Welcome,
14:56 welcome, welcome. This is the AI
14:57 Learning Lab live pre-show. This is the
15:00 pre-show. Listen, I know this is so good
15:04 and so exciting and so like, oh my god,
15:06 this is fantastic.
15:08 The show hasn't even started yet. This
15:10 is the pre-show and it's this good.
15:13 I mean, look at the production values.
15:14 We have a ticker.
15:16 Not on TikTok cuz it's already TikTok,
15:19 right? You don't need a ticker on
15:20 TikTok. It's redundant.
15:24 So, we're going to go over there.
15:26 We're going to start the show at 7:30
15:28 precisely promptly.
15:31 Um and we'll just hang out in the AI
15:33 Salon. It's free. If you haven't joined,
15:35 go to community.thesalon.ai,
15:37 sign up.
15:38 It's free.
15:39 Jump into the AI Learning Lab Live
15:41 channel. There's a I think there's a
15:43 countdown timer there. I think it might
15:44 even have this stream in it. I don't
15:47 know what producer Brandon's doing. He's
15:49 doing stuff. He's a professional.
15:52 And he has to work with me.
15:54 >> [laughter]
15:57 >> Uh
15:58 the man on the YouTube.
16:00 >> [laughter]
16:01 >> Wild.
16:04 It is wild. But, join us over there.
16:06 Join us. Join us. Join us. It's going to
16:07 be good. Um we're going to really dig
16:09 into um the the world's most advanced
16:12 visual reasoning engine tonight.
16:15 We're going to make pictures. Um
16:18 pre-show. Thank you for the warm up. You
16:21 are welcome. I I appreciate you being
16:23 here. If you're on LinkedIn, just look
16:25 in the the description of this stream
16:28 and you'll see a link to the uh
16:31 to where we're going live in 4 minutes.
16:34 4 minutes.
16:39 All the music's happening out here in
16:40 the pre-show.
16:42 Once we get Once we get going, here's
16:43 the thing about the AI Learning Lab. You
16:45 want to learn about AI.
16:47 You don't want to hear some crusty old
16:49 man
16:53 playing mediocre on a guitar,
16:57 nearly knowing the words to the songs he
16:59 can barely sing. You know?
17:01 You know?
17:02 You want to learn about AI. So, in the
17:04 pre-show, you enjoy the guitar, the
17:06 singing dog.
17:08 Hey champ, you want to give the people a
17:09 little little show?
17:12 >> [music]
17:19 >> You want to sing for us?
17:21 >> [music]
17:40 [music]
17:44 >> That's Champy, if you don't know.
17:47 >> [music]
17:53 >> I'm not a TikToker, is that okay? Yeah,
17:55 we're actually not So, TikTok the the
17:57 the whole purpose of the pre-show is
18:00 because all of these channels are
18:02 outside the AI Salon. We're letting
18:03 people know, "Hey, if you want to
18:04 actually actual
18:06 see the actual show, come into the AI
18:08 Salon."
18:10 The AI Salon, if you don't know, is a
18:11 community of about 4,000 people that are
18:13 curious about AI.
18:16 In In the AI Salon, it's not so much
18:18 talking about the tools and the tech and
18:21 how to use that, even though we're going
18:22 to talk about some of that stuff tonight
18:23 and I'm going to demo things. What the
18:25 salon's about is about understanding how
18:28 we use these tools, how it's going to
18:30 affect the future of work, how we can
18:33 use AI as an amplifier of our own ideas
18:36 and our own talent. Um it's a remarkable
18:39 community. So, if you haven't been in
18:41 there, come on in, watch this show, and
18:43 then hang out in the salon and have
18:45 conversations in there. So, yes, it is
18:47 absolutely perfect.
18:50 Ky- Kyle is just the side show. Exactly,
18:52 I am just the side show. We're here for
18:54 Champ, that is true as well.
18:57 Um so, 2 minutes, uh we'll be we'll be
18:59 live over there. I'm going to pop out of
19:01 here.
19:02 Uh so, good seeing you all. Happy
19:04 pre-show, everybody. I will see you um
19:07 in the live at community.thesalon.ai
19:10 or click the links in my bio
19:13 um or in LinkedIn or in YouTube. All
19:15 right?
19:16 And I will see you over there.
19:21 Beautiful.
19:24 All right, that's done. Let's do that.
19:30 All right, see everybody over there.
23:05 >> Mhm.
24:37 >> Mhm.
