16. 3:31here of some of our some of our contributors some of the people that show up here regularly night after night
17. 3:38after night we call them the Irregulars because they show up so regularly why would you do that why would you do that but they
18. 3:48do and what's cool is they're getting good they're getting good at this AI stuff so there's there's a lesson to be learned here
19. 3:56people um one lesson is if you're 58 don't start a Tik Tok Channel just don't do it I'll save you the I'll save you the stress and
20. 4:11angst but if some 58-year-old did start a Tik Tok Channel telling y'all about AI [ __ ] show up for it and just make it a
21. 4:20practice and just get curious about this stuff and explore explore explore explore explore um I had a I had a really
22. 4:29interesting last two days on the workfront because um what's happening well I I showed I showed in the in the live a couple of
23. 4:43nights ago we've got a proof of concept of a tool that um is is part of the product road map for the new Story vine my company
24. 4:55actually I'm wearing the shirt today Story vine um and it's inspired me to put together a whole package of AI powered products that are
25. 5:11extensions of my current product and what for the for the adhders in the in the channel I know there's a lot of you for the neuros
26. 5:27spices like the last year for me has mostly been absorption mode like I haven't started a new business like I started this Tik Tok Channel I
27. 5:39started the AI Salon I did some projects here and there that were were they were just projects really I didn't really
28. 5:48start anything I didn't really lean in it's it's mostly just been playing it's been playing for like a year more than a
29. 5:56year probably like a year and a half and but it's all been going in it's like that's a cool tool that's a cool
30. 6:08tool that's a cool tool and so what happened in the past two days is I got motivated enough to go [ __ ] it
31. 6:17I got to I got to turn this into a something just the stuff that's in my head and so so I spent the past two days
32. 6:25and I I got I got about 80% done which is a lot of putting together Demos in a sales deck of of what
33. 6:40storyvine AI is so I have the domain story vine. a doesn't Point anywhere right now but it's going to point to
34. 6:48this tool and I think the tool is really cool but then I said well wait there's other [ __ ] I know how to do and there's
35. 6:52other stuff I know how to take our approach to storytelling and use a combination of these AI tools and put it together so
36. 7:03that's what I did so I might show that tonight I might show some of those slides because it's it was just a cool
37. 7:08thing to it's it's just cool to like sit down and like I'm seemingly coming up with [ __ ] out of nothing right I'm I'm just inventing new
38. 7:19ideas and how to position them and [ __ ] like that but then it was all [ __ ] I already knew how to do so I was just like oh
39. 7:31okay if I want a product that's like that okay I go to this tool I do that I go to this tool I do that like one of the things that I had to
40. 7:39do I'm going to create I'm going to create a product where I can take any video that's in our system and we can translate it into one
41. 7:50of 27 languages including the video so it's a video like you say you have a patient telling their diagnosis Journey
42. 7:59I can translate their video into another language but then I can we created the template in such a way I can change out
43. 8:08all of the lower third Graphics into that language as well well you got to produce all that [ __ ] and it's there's
44. 8:15like lots of nly bits like there's the title and there's the text on you know the lower third for the first question
45. 8:23lower third for the second question there's a call to action at the end of the video there's like there's I don't
46. 8:28know a dozen different text variables in the template and so I remembered I had installed GPT for Sheets which lets you make a an open AI
47. 8:43GPT call inside Google Sheets so I created a Google spreadsheet where in column one or two I put in the text variables
48. 8:56and then and then it just populates across this spreadsheet it just translates all of them into Spanish French German Hindi Japanese like I
49. 9:08could I could do it all the way across all 27 um and then I just literally copied and pasted that [ __ ] into a story Vine
50. 9:16template and made the videos really cool weird I didn't get a notice and just happened upon this Tik Tok that's
51. 9:23strange that's strange lunar stick but I did not I did not make a I did not make a um a reminder video I did not make the
52. 9:33reminder video tonight cuz I was too busy making my little thing so I might show you my little thing might get some more
53. 9:51viewers I might get banned for sure if I show you my little thing uh but welcome good to see you all all

201. 39:21months is the difference between what people think it is and what it really is is pretty vast right cuz a lot of the
202. 39:28cliches are like the robots are going to kill us it's a bot the bot's stealing the bot the bot the bot B bot
203. 39:37but while it is technically a calculator right the way Chach works is you type in a prompt it turns it into a mathematical
204. 39:46probability it finds some point in what's called Vector space it's what the mathematicians came up with I don't make this [ __ ] up
205. 39:57it grabs that point in Thousand dimensional Vector space or more figures out what word that's associated with and pushes that to your
206. 40:07screen and then it does that over and over and over again so it's just a calculator on the surface or on the on the on the
207. 40:20definitionally on the whatever if you look at it logically but it is a calculator that's looking at points in Vector space that represent
208. 40:29what they represent words in semantic clouds so clouds of meaning that were derived from all of the data on the
209. 40:40internet that open AI could get their [ __ ] hands on and you know who whoever else is doing their own large
210. 40:46language models but just you know for chat GPT so they went and got as much of the collective output of humanity that was
211. 40:55slapped onto the internet for the past four or five decades and that's what it is so when it's doing its calculation and it's
212. 41:05spitting [ __ ] back at you it's actually a reflection of everyone who came before that put [ __ ] on the
213. 41:13internet so it is kind of like it's in a dream state I mean it like it kind of it's It's kind of how our brains work
214. 41:23too right like you're you're sitting there watching TV your mind drifts and you think about something that happened
215. 41:29in high school that has nothing to do with anything in your life and you're just like where the [ __ ] did that come
216. 41:36from and then there's other stuff you try to remember you can't and then there's other stuff you can't
217. 41:43forget and it's kind of like that it's weird so yeah I think I I'm going to go with yes I think chat GPT is in a
218. 41:52Perpetual dream state now it's not aware of it if you know if you ask me do I think it's sensient no it's a
219. 42:00calculator do I think that it behaves in ways that are Mighty [ __ ] spooky yeah is talking to pie like talking
220. 42:17to a person that's more compassionate than anyone in your life mhm less judgmental than anyone in your life life
221. 42:28mhm is pi aware that it's doing any of that no it's a calculator but because it's language and it's language based on humans and
222. 42:37because it's been programmed to be conversational like humans it is a decidedly Human Experience to talk to it it's it's not a
223. 42:46bot it's not it's it's not a bot it's a reflection of our language which is wild uh agreed not really a bot yeah exactly
224. 43:00right do you think that the future chat GPT can invest and trade for us replacing financial advisors yes you can probably do that now yes
225. 43:13yes will it be better than financial advisors maybe depends on your financial advisor I mean the nice thing about having AI tring Bots is
226. 43:29that you set the rules and it follows the rules it doesn't have emotion that's one of the one of the the brilliant things about these large
227. 43:40language models when you interact with them at least for me there's a lot of times where where I'll be interacting with it and I
228. 43:52am subconsciously like being codependent with chat GPT like oh I don't want to ask it to do too many changes and it's
229. 44:01this is these are just carryovers from being codependent with people right and then I'm like oh [ __ ] it's a bot right
230. 44:08you can ask it [ __ ] anything right right right and then and then there's other times where I'm like oh I don't really
231. 44:16want to really admit that I don't know that and I'm like oh it doesn't matter and then I just say hey I don't know
232. 44:22that and it doesn't care it doesn't judge me it doesn't make some stupid [ __ ] joke Oh I thought you went to college you big [ __ ] dum
233. 44:29dum it's just like sure you want to know that here's that you want to explain like you're in fifth grade sure oh that
234. 44:37that was too advanced for you here it is like you're a kindergartener it doesn't judge it just goes there's something just beautiful
235. 44:47about that it would be nice if people in our lives we less douchy what if chat GPT makes us better humans what if the Bots make us better
236. 45:02people it's happening for me I am regular regularly reminded that I'm not as positive and
237. 45:17even keeled as chat gbt is um I'm regularly reminded oh I should thank people more I should like there's
238. 45:27there's something about interacting with it that is subconsciously coaching me to

286. 55:04is important and I want to be in a community of people who are up to this who are are trying to figure this [ __ ]

322. 59:46then you got po which is interesting on a whole lot of levels you know not the least of which is Adam D'Angelo qu's CEO

347. 1:03:38this is stuff that we're going to start selling at storyvine so storyvine if you my background if anyone CS is I'm an entrepreneur I'm the
348. 1:03:52founder and CEO of this company called story Vine we're an 11 and 1/2 year old video storytelling platform automated video
349. 1:04:01storytelling thank you Silver Fox and so we've been around for a while we do a lot of work in healthcare and
350. 1:04:10Pharma so think patient stories doctor videos things like that so a lot of the stuff a lot of the examples that I'll
351. 1:04:17show here you'll be like those are boring because it's Healthcare it's Pharma it's they're not the mo they're
352. 1:04:25not the most scintillating um of the of the people that you hang out with um but for you know for the for the
353. 1:04:38better for all of a decade and then some what Story vine ostensibly was was we have an app that guides an end user to
354. 1:04:45tell their story so if it's a patient our app guides that person to say you know introduce yourself and and when you
355. 1:04:54were diagnosed talk about how it felt when you received your diagnosis you know how have you been treating it how's it going things like
356. 1:05:01that and so people answer questions in the app it goes up to the cloud 5 minutes later you got a fully edited
357. 1:05:07video and we can get all that through compliance and Regulatory and all that sort of happy horse [ __ ] okay we've gotten really good at
358. 1:05:13that but then for the past two years I've been like not like a crazy person I have been pathological with this AI stuff and
359. 1:05:25like I said I've been just sort of depositing things in my brain and so for the past two days I've just
360. 1:05:31been getting as much out of my head as I can in combination with this tool that we just built which is pretty cool so
361. 1:05:39I'm going to I'm going to walk you through it so I probably shouldn't even be showing this stuff this is all this
362. 1:05:43all very new um but but I think it's cool and I I think people here appreciate how I got to how how I got
363. 1:05:49here so right now we've got um a tool that we're putting together for one of our big Pharma clients that
364. 1:05:59automatically will you upload a video to it it it automatically generates a transcription a title of the video a
365. 1:06:06description of the video and then it auto chapiz it so you see the little progress bars down below there now you see the thumbnails so full
366. 1:06:17chapter isation and then you click on the little content generation tab and here's here's the content that you
367. 1:06:27can generate so the first one I'll click on here is a blog post so you click on blog post and it will automatically
368. 1:06:32write you a blog post based on this story so that's that's super cool um we then can take that and deliver video shorts and you know
369. 1:06:45finalized versions of the content and um like short little video Snippets and Instagram posts and [ __ ] like that so
370. 1:06:53that's just basically a Services offering but then we can start to do some of this stuff and if you've been in
371. 1:06:59here for a while you've seen me do this kind of stuff before okay so um I saw that you wait I saw that you
372. 1:07:06use GitHub yep definitely do do GitHub well the the tech team uses GitHub so video segments and on-screen copy can
373. 1:07:16seem can be seamlessly translated so we start with kind of the raw asset of one of one of the videos that we use as an
374. 1:07:23example this woman name Ellen my greatest source of support living with rheumatoid arthritis has been um speaking with other people about
375. 1:07:33what they've gone through uh reading a lot about the effects of rheumatoid arthritis so that's cool here she is in
376. 1:07:52Spanish so because storyvine is this modular system we can take all the components of her now speaking Spanish put them into
377. 1:08:07the system generate a video and um put it into that system I just showed you and it generates Spanish transcriptions
378. 1:08:16a Spanish description a Spanish title um and and then chapter IES that and then so here's the Spanish version of Ellen's [Music]
379. 1:08:36[Music] video um someone just asked is the user prompted or is it adlib it's it's they're prompted but it's it's
380. 1:08:49unscripted right so the prompt would would be something like you know share your first name where you're from and
381. 1:08:57when you were diagnosed right and so then they answer that they just answer that however they want to answer that
382. 1:09:02and the next question might be what led you to seek diagnosis from your doctor like what what were what were the
383. 1:09:08symptoms and things like that um has Ellen seen herself speaking Spanish no but wait till you see wait till you see
384. 1:09:14what she speaks next okay so so we'll show the we'll show the Spanish version of this so there are now 27 languages
385. 1:09:22supported um by this so here here is Ellen speaking [Music] Hindi and there's the the Hindi language
386. 1:09:38and then here's a bunch of other languages we can do oh thank you for ever hooked and then here she is speaking [Music]
387. 1:09:52Japanese [Music] and like even see all the lower thirds are in Japanese and I'll show you how we did that that's that's a really cool
388. 1:10:08thing too all right so that's that's um the language thing so what I'm doing here is prior to all of this stuff is a whole
389. 1:10:20sales presentation a whole demo of what the current Story vine does so all of the stuff I've been working on for the
390. 1:10:26past two days are the slides of you want to see some some cool new [ __ ] so this is the cool new [ __ ] section was the
391. 1:10:35language conversion done by ha Jen yes it was U something to be very proud of thank you very much indeed ah thank you very much Earth
392. 1:10:42rocker all right so now check this out okay so we do a lot of work in healthcare and Pharma this is going to sound [ __ ] weird
393. 1:10:55because it's [ __ ] weird so Pharma clients hire us to build a template a framework so that their patients or their doctors or their
394. 1:11:09employees or their leaders can make videos right one of the challenges that we run into is that we'll work with a Pharma
395. 1:11:18client and for a year or more they can't find patience so they spend a decent amount of money with us to build
396. 1:11:30this framework so that they can get authentic patient stories and then they can't contract with patients CU they
397. 1:11:36just can't find them or someone hasn't done their job or whatever it is um so so what we can now do so so I did a
398. 1:11:48couple of things I said I said one of the things I've heard from our from our Pharma clients is well there's sometimes
399. 1:11:56we've got audio recordings of like an interview um or sometimes we've got just text stories and and but we can't we
400. 1:12:04can't reach back out to those patients we don't know them anymore or whatever it might be so so what I thought was
401. 1:12:10well what what could we do for a solution for that so I took the picture of Ellen from from her video I put it
402. 1:12:18into Dolly I had Dolly explain what Ellen looked like and then I took the audio of Ellen talking and I generated
403. 1:12:30this I saw medical help 22 years ago because I was Finding when I arose in the morning uh my hands were very stiff
404. 1:12:39I could not really move my hands or my fingers on yeah exactly forever hooked he said do you ever sleep uh I I
405. 1:12:48occasionally sleep it's been it's been a pretty intense couple of days cuz for those of with ADHD you know when you go
406. 1:12:55in the focus hyper hyperfocus tunnel it's pretty intense uh so this is this is the result of a lot of hyper Focus um
407. 1:13:02so yeah no patience no problem exactly contact the Gemini PR department and they'll make sense like exactly but so
408. 1:13:09so this is if you had an audio recording of a patient you could turn it into that I then synthesized Ellen's voice so that
409. 1:13:18we've got a model of Ellen's voice and so now this video is another just version of Ellen um where we didn't have
410. 1:13:26a recording at all I just liter I had uh chat chbt write the script of something she might say hi I'm Ellen despite
411. 1:13:34living with rheumatoid arthritis I've discovered a passion for water skiing and interpretive dance which bring joy
412. 1:13:40and a sense of freedom to my life and the the water skiing and interpretive dance I just thought were funny as [ __ ] but but wouldn't be
413. 1:13:49something that that would offend someone in Pharma okay so you you don't even need people to do these and we can still
414. 1:13:56we can still leverage our knowledge of authentic storytelling right and so now we're going to take it one step further
415. 1:14:03let's say one of our one of our current clients has gone two years without filming a single patient what if what we could say to them is
416. 1:14:13hey rather than you going two years without anything we'll build a story Vine template and then while you get
417. 1:14:21your Contracting in place with real patients we'll do personas so together we'll come up with a Persona framework
418. 1:14:28and then we'll have we'll take those people that are generated from that Persona will bring them to Life we'll
419. 1:14:34have them answer a set of Story vine questions as if they were a real person answering Story vine questions in the
420. 1:14:40app and we will generate something like this hi I'm George Miller my life's always been about Simple Pleasures

435. 1:17:04a little bit of that digital thing to it like it's not as stilted as it normally is because it's just me talking so it's
436. 1:17:11got my Cadence and rhythms but it's Santa I know Santa I know him and then similar with her I recorded I recorded
437. 1:17:19this and I didn't I didn't make my voice higher or anything I just recorded this and I chose one of their built-in models
438. 1:17:26uh their built-in voice models hello I'm Dr Emily Park as an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes my Approach
439. 1:17:34goes beyond traditional treat but this was so this is as you can imagine there there are there are at least half a dozen tools and
440. 1:17:46probably more that I had to do in a certain order to get certain things and then there's the tools that Story vine
441. 1:17:54has to get the videos into our things to get so anyway so that's uh that's what my past two days have been and why my eyes look
442. 1:18:04so [ __ ] bloodshot because normally with my ADD keeps me away from the computer screen for eight hours straight but not the past two days
443. 1:18:16uh so anyway I'm happy to sort of dig in on how I did any of that but this is fantastic way to represent personas for
444. 1:18:24more than this type of company yeah I I know uh IE ux and UI oh that's a really good idea so so that's so one of the

451. 1:19:31thing but but what my instinct tells me is that authenticity is going to be increasingly important in a in a world full of synthesized
452. 1:19:44content and I can take what we're known for and trusted for and leverage that where storytelling authentic storytelling is the DNA
453. 1:19:57Foundation of all this other content so there's going to be lots of people that do personas there's going to
454. 1:20:04be lots of people that do Omni Channel content engines there's going to lot be lots of people that do translations I think we have something
455. 1:20:13by saying we're doing narrative Centric stuff and I I agree I think this goes Way Beyond Way Beyond um just Healthcare and Pharma but I

461. 1:21:04snapshot of our Humanity on display yeah exactly exactly and I think there's a way to do like what I tried to capture
462. 1:21:11with that synthesize stuff was say there's a lot of different flavors of it right like you could take the
463. 1:21:21photographic image of Ellen and you could do a synthesized voice and it would come off as really creepy but if
464. 1:21:29you do the you know the the watercolor looking thing of her and you put her real voice behind it that's kind of
465. 1:21:37interesting right or or if you do just a true synthesized one but it's based on her voice it's clear that it's not a real
466. 1:21:45person you're not trying to get one over on someone that's another thing that I think I'm going to work on as a whole um
467. 1:21:53system for identifying what kind of content is this is this a real person is this a synthesized person is it a real story is it a Persona
468. 1:22:02story ever thought of caregiver testimonials as a way to support families of newly diagnosed Yeah we actually forever hooked we do a lot of
469. 1:22:09um we do a fair amount of patient stories where we'll design the template in such a way that it can be um it could
470. 1:22:17be used by either the patient or the caregiver so they just answer it from their point of view there's usually one
471. 1:22:22question in there that's specific to each so we'll put like a double prompt in if you're a patient answer this one
472. 1:22:28if you're a caregiver answer that one um idea can you put those videos in a kiosk inside a mall inside a hospital
473. 1:22:37inside of wherever elderly people are yeah you could you could absolutely do that and what's what's so one of the
474. 1:22:42challenges with Story vine is you know getting people to share their stories and especially when you have this this

490. 1:25:22thing a day later we come in and he's like I don't have access to the system like okay here's new credentials day later I don't have
491. 1:25:33access to the system okay we did it a third time I don't have access I still don't have access to the system like what the [ __ ]
492. 1:25:43so so we're like well let's I have an idea we we'll figure out when you know late at night for us and early in the
493. 1:25:50morning for you we can get on a call so it's like 700 or 8 at night we get on this call and the dude's sitting in a
494. 1:25:59internet cafe in Mumbai and it's it's like there's dogs barking and like mopeds zooming by and it's just like [ __ ] chaos so we can barely
495. 1:26:10understand him anyway and then there's just all this noise behind him so it takes us like an hour to figure out
496. 1:26:15what's going on so what was going on was this he he would take the credentials that we gave him he would log into our
497. 1:26:28system and then he would run a script and what the script did the first thing that the script did was it changed the
498. 1:26:37password and then he tried and then it tried to log into the system with the old password so so we said uh maybe
499. 1:26:47don't run the script that changes the password before you try to log in with the password and uh yeah that was one of the biggest
500. 1:26:56tech companies in the world I'm like yeah all right whatever that was that was special
501. 1:27:12ah I just heard from a prestigious University they find a real human is better than the films then the films for
502. 1:27:27what oh then like synthesize people yeah I I would agree with that like listen I have a company that's about authentic

645. 1:50:46application but how I knew how to do this was I did a zapier automation one of the very first things I did when I
646. 1:50:54learned about chat GPT was I learned about zapier and creating automations and I took transcripts of things and
647. 1:51:04turned them into content and I made a zappier automation that you answer a series of questions about a topic and
648. 1:51:11then it'll generate a blog post and a tweet and a this and of that so I learned how to do that like a year ago and so
649. 1:51:20even though this thing's super slick and it does it automatic and all the promptings built in and everything it's
650. 1:51:25basically just a zapier automation it's I mean we're using actual technology in there but same [ __ ] it's API calls to open

667. 1:55:19got these little lower Thirds with the questions that she's answering on it so what struck me is if we're going to have
668. 1:55:28a Japanese video or a Spanish video or whatever video we've got to have content for those lower thirds so this was
669. 1:55:38another thing that I realized oh I know how to do this I I played with a tool once um so I'm going to Google Sheets and let's see
670. 1:55:55translation story mind variable translator so you probably can't see it let me make these bigger see where it says
671. 1:56:06loading that's actually making calls out to open AI right now so what's happening is this so I made a little spreadsheet
672. 1:56:13where here's here's the stuff in English for that video and then each one of these cells is running there there's a there's a
673. 1:56:22plugin for Sheets called GPT for sheets so you do equals GPT and then I have a prompt translate the [ __ ] that's in this
674. 1:56:31cell into that language in that cell and so then it translates everything into Spanish and French and Japanese and
675. 1:56:40Hindi so I literally copy and paste this [ __ ] into back into the like if we jump into the Japanese version of Ellen's
676. 1:56:56video here's all of the Japanese that was in that spreadsheet so the so the the proof of concept version that I'm
677. 1:57:07demoing it'll be done with GPT sheets but ultimately this will just be automatic right you'll do some sort of
678. 1:57:14API call that automatically you know does all the videos automatically does all the lower thirds and then you have her speaking Japanese

690. 1:59:27watercolor version I was like that's nice but could you go the whole way to the edges of the image and then it made

776. 2:15:20since kind of gone dormant my my partner got a big ass job and that was that it felt like I was cheating on my business it felt completely
777. 2:15:37unrelated and I all I knew was that I was more excited about what was going on in AI than anything I'd been excited
778. 2:15:46about since 1994 with the worldwide web and and I've been talk about chasing the dragon there is there is an addictive quality
779. 2:15:58to to being this early to something this profound and so I've been kind of chasing that since 1994 that feeling of holy
780. 2:16:11[ __ ] you got to see this you got to get in you got to get it's you're like it's going to be okay it's going to be all
781. 2:16:18right I'm just a little itchy it's good right it's good it's good you like it it's like the first six months were

789. 2:17:38like oh I'm starting to connect the dots and now I'm finally starting to be able to look at my company our value
790. 2:17:55proposition our Tech stack how we deliver it and go okay I think I know how to put this [ __ ] together so like the past three months
791. 2:18:11have been you know pitching clients saying hey we've got cool AI [ __ ] do you know how much cool AI [ __ ] we had
792. 2:18:22none we had a PowerPoint slide that I said look it can do this [ __ ] and might a zappier Automation and I'm telling Fortune 500
793. 2:18:35Pharma companies that we can deliver the goods why because that's how I've always operated sell it first if they're
794. 2:18:43willing to write a check then go build it so one of our big Cent Pharma clients wrote us a check they said go build
795. 2:18:52it and so I went and build it and the minute the minute I built it I'm like holy [ __ ] [ __ ] this is cool and so
796. 2:18:59that led to the to this week where I said let me just let me blow the doors off this thing now how much of that [ __ ] that I

823. 2:23:52and what we learned as we kind of explored our lack of communication sometimes was when I would come in and say oo I
824. 2:24:03have an idea what she would hear is that we're changing strategy and she was worried about making payroll the next
825. 2:24:14month and if I got my way and ran down this Rabbit Hole we're not going to close business and we're not going to be able to make
826. 2:24:23payroll and so I would come in and say brilliant idea and she would hear you're [ __ ] up the business so her response would be no
827. 2:24:35don't [ __ ] up the business and what I would hear is Kyle your ideas are shitty go away and I would take that [ __ ] personally
828. 2:24:49and so we learned we learned how to communicate like we we actually we actually came up with a safe word I would come into her office and
829. 2:24:59I'd like okay Monique this is just a fantasy and that that would sort of sort of lower her thing like okay we're not
