15. 3:54CTO she always seemed uncomfortable to me I mean it might have just been her interviews maybe she was just
16. 4:01uncomfortable in interviews but I don't know everyone's like what's going on at open AI it doesn't seem like that big a
17. 4:09mystery to me it's like they're like another announcement today is they're basically going to remove the
18. 4:19nonprofit board controlling open Ai and make it a truly for-profit company and give Sam Alman shares worth $150 billion so
19. 4:30seems to me what's happening is the research lab built all the [ __ ] the research lab was going to build they
20. 4:37have probably gotten to some level of AGI where they can actually declare it and they're going to flip the switch and
21. 4:43turn this [ __ ] profitable or for you know fully for profit you know Sam's going to get his bucket of shares and
22. 4:50then they're going to go off and turn into that company right like it I this feels like this feels like natural
23. 4:57purging to me right the founder and the people that have been there for 6 years and the the tension between is it for
24. 5:05profit is it nonprofit is it for the good of humanity are we going to be the next big thing you know the other thing that Sam
25. 5:14alman's been talking to Washington about is spinning up five five gwatt nuclear plants so we have enough electricity to
26. 5:26go build the [ __ ] that needs to be built for Asi so I don't know it doesn't seem it doesn't seem mysterious to me but

43. 8:59have empathy I think it's my guess is it's probably dialed back like I've noticed the the when I ask her stuff it it's a bit antiseptic
44. 9:08until I coacher to not be antiseptic but after the live last night um I showed the misses and like whenever
45. 9:19there's some new thing I'll show the misses and invariably her response is oh that doesn't look real or oh okay

50. 10:21spoke Japanese and I said no no do it you know speak English with a Japanese accent and it did it and Oli was like holy [ __ ]
51. 10:35[ __ ] last week she used sorry I was told guidelines changed oh what did you ask it Kyle what did I ask it for what to get it to do the
52. 10:45Japanese [Music] um thing it was funny when I continued I continued a conversation and it it said I can't I can't do a Japanese accent I'm

54. 11:07do a couple of other things and then I said oh tell me about anime and then I said oh tell me about anime with a
55. 11:13Japanese accent and it just started speaking Japanese I said no no English with a Japanese accent and then it did it it was pretty
56. 11:21good so we'll play with that again tonight we can look at some of the meta stuff um what else do we have Murray morat's [Music]
57. 11:42out um one interesting thing I heard today is that open AI has started training Sora 2 before releasing Sora
58. 11:56one gee gee open AI you think maybe maybe that's because all of your competitors [ __ ] launched something
59. 12:03that's as good as Sora in the 68 months it's been since you announced that thing yeah twits just don't announce [ __ ] if you're
60. 12:12not going to launch it oh my God the painful births the painful time of time of Industry we're in right
61. 12:26now I I also saw another um how we doing time wise a little early still I saw another [Music] um another commentary on Twitter which I
62. 12:42agreed with and Sam mman kind of did it in his blog post yesterday but I don't know if you noticed this that all of
63. 12:52the all of the industry people that are kind of in the no have shifted where they're not talking about AGI
64. 13:02anymore now they're talking about ASI artificial super intelligence so if you don't know the difference between those
65. 13:08two general intelligence is where these tools get as good or better than most humans you know the median human at most
66. 13:17jobs at most economically viable jobs and it appears to me that we've got tools that are pretty [ __ ] close to
67. 13:26that and as soon as as soon as they add autonomous agentic Behavior the ability for these tools to take action on your
68. 13:33behalf and actually go surf the web and buy you [ __ ] at Amazon like at that point we're we're pretty [ __ ] close to
69. 13:41that so I think we're going to see you know some declared definition of AGI within the next 6 months probably by the end of the
70. 13:54year but realistically by by March and then the RAC is for artificial super intelligence which is where the machines
71. 14:05get better than all of us at everything by a significant amount and that was where Sam Alman said in his blog post a few thousand days
72. 14:15which is a bizarre bizarre framing of time I've never ever heard anyone say a few thousand days I don't know why he said
73. 14:24it like that some people read that as a thousand days some people read that as oh it's here next week a a few 3,000 days it's about 10
74. 14:36years so he's basically saying in less than 10 years we'll have artificial super [Music] intelligence and ilas sover that's he
75. 14:48started safe super intelligence to do just that so I would imagine he wouldn't have started that company if he didn't
76. 14:56feel that it was in reach because that's a it's a stupid name to name your company safe super intelligence if
77. 15:05you're not confident you can hit super intelligence [Music]
78. 15:51I don't trust anyone that doesn't capitalize words I used to have a guy that worked for me at agency.com he
79. 15:58wouldn't he wouldn't um capitalize anything and he used very little punctuation and it always freaked me out

87. 17:40understand I really want to understand this this voice model and when you use it and why would you use it

89. 18:01right and he's just talking to the computer okay computer you know go do this research or go do whatever the thing was and I remember
90. 18:14thinking that's got to annoy the other people in the office like you can't have people sitting like with computers with
91. 18:22keyboards you can have people sitting right next to each other but if I'm like oh Sally come on go do some research for
92. 18:28for me all right I you know that's not a very good interface could you make it a little better it like it would like it
93. 18:33would be like working in a call center so I like I feel like there's a weird there's like a time and a place
94. 18:40for it and Zuckerberg actually talked about that a little bit in his when they launched the glasses today cuz they
95. 18:48actually did launch this the the way the glasses work is they've got three different components it's got a a block with the i
96. 18:58I suppose with the compute on it it's got the glasses with the projectors on the lenses and then it's got a
97. 19:06wristband that you do [ __ ] with your fingers but it's actually a neural link to your brain so so you're actually using brain signals to
98. 19:16control the interface of the glasses and when he was talking about that he was talking about you know not
99. 19:25everyone's going to be doing the voice thing all the time was Zuck wearing a shirt that said Zuck I didn't take that in but
100. 19:37possibly zck is so [ __ ] weird looking he just does not look human he just he doesn't I don't want to feed into the
101. 19:46whole reptilian uh conspiracy theorists but but the dude is just weird he's a lot weird less weird than he used

130. 24:43the internet you can't do gpts with it you can't upload files to it it doesn't have code interpreter it doesn't make
131. 24:51images it's this very limited little sandbox of just the large language model itself voice is similarly
132. 25:01limited you can't make images with it you can't do what you could do with the old voice it it's it's not connected to
133. 25:07whatever it's connected to that's the large language model which I assume is 40 or or it could be 01 no it's not o
134. 25:14it's not 01 that would be too expensive it's probably connected to 40 but it's not the like all the multimodal shit's turned off so I
135. 25:25think they're giving us access to these tools to start to get our heads around them in their most simple
136. 25:33form and so that's that's I think what I want to spend the next week or two on in here is really just kind of just poking
137. 25:41at it and like a piece of clay just trying to figure out is there a sculpture in there cuz I don't really know how to use

735. 2:14:03judge and the judge read his legal opinion and then went to go look at the case law that supported it and none of that case law
736. 2:14:11existed and he went back to the lawyer and he said uh none of this case law exists what do you what is
737. 2:14:19this and the lawyer is like ah I did it in chat GPT I didn't really proofread my work well that guy's an [ __ ] he doesn't it's not ai's
738. 2:14:30fault that he didn't do his work right similarly if he had done his work and actually checked and made sure case
739. 2:14:40law was there and he handed that to a judge and the opinion was fine and it served his client does it matter that he used AI
740. 2:14:51does the judge want to know if he used Microsoft Word versus Google Docs does it does he want to know if he used
741. 2:14:58grammarly or spell checker all those are AI so my philosophy on this is these are just tools that help
742. 2:15:07us and if I publish a book and it's it's it's [ __ ] littered with typos and the word delve because I used Ai and I didn't
743. 2:15:20tell it not to use the word delve and everyone that reads it goes oh this is a bunch of AI trash that's on me so so My Philosophy is
