20. 4:59to get of it what's what's the deal Daylight Saving Time DST is when clocks are set forward by one hour
21. 5:06during warmer months to extend evening daylight in Europe DST starts on the last Sunday in March and ends on the
22. 5:14last Sunday in October in the United States DST typically starts on the second Sunday in March and ends on the
23. 5:20first Sunday in November most of the US observes DST but Arizona except for the Navajo Nation and Hawaii do not several
24. 5:27US territories like Puerto Rico Guam American Samoa and the US Virgin Islands also skip it there's ongoing debate
25. 5:34about ending DST some argue it's outdated and disruptive While others appreciate the extended evening daylight
26. 5:41several states have passed laws to stay on DST permanently but it requires Federal approval the US Senate passed
27. 5:47the sunshine protection act in 2022 to make DST permanent but it hasn't become law yet so for now DST continues as

46. 10:01um I think that we're going to see more and more of this we're going to see more and more kind of you know digital chaos
47. 10:08because AI is getting really good and you know we knew that was coming so but you know the good guys have ai too so
48. 10:16they'll they'll start catching guys that previously wouldn't have been caught so it'll start to balance itself out or not

58. 12:54o'clock at night I was like oh I have an idea let me just go spend five minutes on it I went to bed at 3:30 in the morning and
59. 13:02I had to get up at I had to get up at 6:30 but because it was Daylight savings I guess this would have been Friday
60. 13:08night I don't know or Saturday night I it doesn't matter when it was maybe it was Saturday night uh so I went to bed at 3:30 I woke
61. 13:16up at 5:30 so I was pretty useless all day yeah it was [Music] Sunday but I'll show you what I built and I'll show you how I built it and
62. 13:31then I'll show you a fun thing that I learned today about Luma Labs uh their new um flash model their their new quick
63. 13:39video generation model does something pretty cool so I took advantage of that today [Music]
64. 14:00the other thing that I kind of did I stumble on it no I kind of reminded myself of what did I just do there
65. 14:15what did I do hang on yeah really that was weird I hit some
66. 14:32key on my keyboard and it it squirted out the uh whatever my my little black image that I had there gone gone so we'll play
67. 14:44with that stuff oh the the stuff that I kind of reintroduced myself with okay so in the olden timey days if you were
68. 14:56going to teach yourself Photoshop shop or programming or Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel it took you so long to to get any level of
69. 15:11competence that the [ __ ] that you were learning on wasn't really worth sharing right because it you know you were if
70. 15:21you're a programmer you're programming hello world and then you're programming you know whatever stupid [ __ ] app is the first in the
71. 15:30tutorial you know there's a billion of and if you have ADD you go off the path and you maybe make something and
72. 15:38maybe you share that maybe you don't but it generally was weeks if not months of learning before yet had anything you
73. 15:45could really put in the world and for the past couple of weeks or so I've been I've been a little a little enamored with the mid Journey's
74. 15:57retexturing feature um and so I thought oh let me just go play with that and I went and played with it because I saw a tweet about it
75. 16:05that was kind of cool I was like oh let me just go try that and it's like these tools are now so good that even if
76. 16:13you're just learning I I'm going to encourage you take the output of what you're learning if you're learning how to make
77. 16:20songs with sunno or you're learning how to do [ __ ] with chaty BT or you're learning how to do something in mid
78. 16:25Journey just take something that you like and just share it somewhere share it on the salon share it on Twitter
79. 16:32share it on LinkedIn share it on Facebook tweet it to you know text it to a friend um because it it does a couple of things
80. 16:44it lets people know you're doing stuff but it also starts to have you hone your creative taste and if it's not something that
81. 16:56you're comfortable with or EXP experienced with that's going to be a really important skill moving forward
82. 17:03these tools are going to do really good stuff but it's still us that chooses what we share with the world and how do you choose
83. 17:12that why is this picture better than that one why is this song better than that one well it's not one one piece of media is not better
84. 17:26than another piece of media it's your taste your taste your specific point of view that says that one's better like I
85. 17:37may pick out of 10 images I may pick one that you look at it and go that was the worst one and someone else may look at
86. 17:45it and go that was the best one I agree and you know nine other people or eight other people are going to have opinions somewhere
87. 17:54else that skill of judgment and curation and take taste that attribute is something that can be honed and you
88. 18:03don't have to be very good at this [ __ ] to hone it just start making [ __ ] pick a cool one and share it maybe write a
89. 18:11little thing it Guy what's a good use for AI that can be used in high school [Music]
90. 18:32I think a good a good thing that you could do if you want to piss off the teachers but if you have a cool
91. 18:40teacher maybe you approach the teacher and you say this you say what if as a class we collaborated with chat GPT to
92. 18:51figure out how we could learn Concepts in this class in a more creative and engaging way and maybe on Fridays we'll
93. 19:00we'll do whatever chat GPT recommends so one thing you could do stuff in class another thing you could do with chat gbt [Music]
94. 19:15is take a subject let's say you're in history class and you're studying the Battle of antium in the Civil [Music]
95. 19:27War well have chat GPT tell you little like personal stories of soldiers and then you can have chat GPT
96. 19:40make images of those scenes and say make it look like a deero type make it look like a civil war photograph of the
97. 19:48battles there and then you could take those over to Luma Labs or to Runway or one of the video tools and animate it
98. 19:56and turn it bring civil B to life and then you could go to sunno and you could write a song about it so you could do [Music] that let's
99. 20:09say someone wants to organize a party for like a Spring Fling Party and you got to figure out what's the best day to
100. 20:17do it and 30 people all have different schedules so you have everyone give you their best times best three times you
101. 20:24throw it in a spreadsheet and you upload it to chat GPT and say pick the best day based on everyone's availability and
102. 20:31then write me an email to communicate what day we picked why we picked it and then write give me personal emails for
103. 20:39the people that can't be there that day and apologize and say Here's how we chose the day and I'm sorry you can't be
104. 20:46there if you can rearrange things that would be [Music] swell you could make a custom GPT that you give to your teacher that
105. 21:00is a A genz zenial or zenial no genz what's the one below gen Z whatever Jen younger than z um what if you had a bunch of gen zers
106. 21:17make a custom GPT for the teacher to understand what the [ __ ] they're saying when they say like slay and Yeet and whatever the hell
107. 21:26they say those those their words a a slang translator in fact in fact gen Alpha yeah them in
108. 21:55fact hey Quinn I want you to like a gen Alpha and and use a bunch of gen Alpha slang and then when I don't know what
109. 22:04something means I'm going to ask you and you're going to tell me all right sure thing what's the vibe today

111. 22:22something a glowup means a big transformation like improving your appearance or skills Yeet is is basically throwing something or diving

116. 23:04having fun that's definitely not chugi it's all about the vibe you bring but if I tried to twerk on my Tik Tok channel that might be
117. 23:12Chuky it might be seen as chugi if it feels forced or out of your is it chugi or chuki it's pronounced chugi like chw and

139. 26:58is Claude 3.5 um and which is interesting because the team at Manis said that um it's as good as it is with Claude 3.5 and
140. 27:09they're testing Claude 3.7 right now so Manis is actually about to get better and it's better than anything out there
141. 27:17from what people are saying and then Lori Lori dresen Ryan um I know a teacher who created an escape room for
142. 27:25the class there's another great way like have fun with these AIS because listen it's like it it should be no different for high school
143. 27:35people that we're talking about at the AI Salon play first play there's no way that you can figure out if if the only thing that you're
144. 27:46trying to do with a large language model is have it help you write the paper you had to write anyway what are you learning

162. 31:28with video cinematography skills and so I wanted it to create 10 shots so so if I'm making 5-c videos I thought why not
163. 31:37make 10 5c videosos so I'll make a minute long film and why not have chat GPT you know give me the the stories and so so it
164. 31:49did it wrote stories it wrote sort of visual look and feels and then what did it do I I didn't like how it did it
165. 31:58so so I had to redo it and then this was the one I made and so what I did was I literally copied you know copied a pile of
166. 32:08emojis and then I went to Luma Labs pasted it in with with a visual style and just said make me that clip
167. 32:17and then I made them all one of the other things that Luma Labs added and I'll show you how to do this we we'll do it after we
168. 32:25uh um I'll show you I'll show you the final film um but what Luma laabs also has in it is sound effects so you can
169. 32:33make a a a film or a clip and then you can click on the audio button and describe what you want the audio to be
170. 32:41and it'll it kind of matches the sound to the uh to the thing um I got to change my tabs again before I do black bar so hang on [Music]

180. 34:42so because Twitter was being attacked it slowed down a bunch of Internet services so some stuff I was working on today was
181. 34:49taking like 20 minutes to render because it was being done in the cloud so in between my work this is this is what I made e

194. 37:36look at your videos right so there's a bunch of videos but they have these things called boards and Boards um are
195. 37:45collections of of images and videos in a all in a single folder like they're projects right it's a it's a project but
196. 37:54you can do lots of stuff within them so the way way I did this was I we we'll do we'll start a new board did I start a new board oh yeah
197. 38:05new board see it says new board up there introducing Ray to flash three times faster three times cheaper so let's flip
198. 38:12over to Ray to flash and that's the one that's good at uh at emojis and we're going to do 16 by9 oh we can do 1080p that's cool okay so
199. 38:22here's what I did I went to chat Jeep and I grabbed so let's dim flickering station lights I don't like that for the
200. 38:33visual so I'm going to copy the first scene so what I told Chi to do is give me um five emoji like for each clip I
201. 38:45want five emojis to describe the clip and and the Emojis have to contain at least one person or one animal and so so
202. 38:55that was the rules that I gave it so I'm going to copy the first five and then I'm going to hop back over to Luma laabs
203. 39:01and I'm going to paste in the Emojis and then I'm going to put we're going to pick a style we'll say we'll say um muted
204. 39:12colors and dramatic lighting so I'm I'm I'm not giving it anything other than I want it to have I want the videos to all
205. 39:21have a consistent look and feel so what I'm going to do is I'm going to copy that whole line now and it's going to start a
206. 39:35video and then I'm going to paste that same prompt back in there I'm G to hop back over to chat GPT I'm going to grab
207. 39:43the next five emojis hop back over to Luma paste the uh emojis in there with that same thing copy it first now tell it to go make the that
208. 39:57and then basically I'll just do this 10 times 10 scenes copy oh I didn't paste it in because I'm a loser baby why don't you sue me yeah
209. 40:11okay uh copy it up there put it down here copy boom paste put it back in go back over here making sense now I'm not
210. 40:24even looking again this is my whole this is my my new thing of 2025 don't use your [ __ ] brain just let let these
211. 40:33machines do the work now listen if you have a really Clear Vision for something and and you want to run that down that
212. 40:39Vision great but if if you want to be inspired if you want to play if you want to just discover what's possible just
