40:25 it's basically imagine anything you do
40:28 on your computer you'll be able to tell
40:31 it to go do that now one of the problems
40:34 with the current why it's in
40:35 experimental mode is it's a large
40:39 language model controlling what what it
40:43 does and so one of the videos that I saw
40:46 it it was trying to order a pizza or do
40:49 it was trying to do some task and then
40:51 it basically did a search for images of
40:54 Y Yus National Park
40:58 and and it was just looking at pictures
41:00 on the internet for a while so it's
41:03 still janky it's still janky pieces of

41:09 commercial um autonomous agent so

43:14 jobs um that's that's sort of we have
43:18 hit AGI when basically the AI can do
43:20 your job and open AI came out with these
43:23 five levels level one is conversational
43:26 chat bots so that's what we had with
43:27 chat GPT so we've had that for about 2
43:29 years level two is um human level
43:34 problem solving and reasoners and so if
43:36 you go to chat
43:38 GPT and you go to 01 preview and you
43:41 type in
43:43 um think about how well not think about
43:47 let's say tell
43:50 me how we
43:55 might um
43:57 so uh create a room
44:02 temperature

44:10 and I got yelled at today I was I was on
44:12 a call today talking about Ai and I said
44:15 that this thing does thinking and I got
44:17 yelled at Again by another geek pay
44:19 yelled at me and then I got yelled at
44:21 today it's not thinking it's not
44:25 thinking but what it is doing is it's
44:27 doing what's called Chain of Thought
44:28 reasoning where in the background it's
44:31 prompting itself to do lots of different
44:33 things right and then it gives you some
44:36 answers um I I I assume that its answer
44:39 here is not the solution to you know
44:43 room level super conductivity
44:46 but but we have that so that's that's
44:50 level two so right now we've got sort of
44:54 the equivalent of like a gpt2
44:58 level Reasoner what we'll be getting
45:01 probably before the end of the year is
45:02 more like a GPT 4 level Reasoner where
45:05 this this level two is going to be
45:06 really really good level three is Agents
45:09 AI systems that can act autonomously on
45:12 your behalf right for extended periods
45:16 so you just kind of turn them loose
45:18 these three levels are really the big
45:20 three levels and this is what Sam Alman
45:21 talked about like these these are the
45:23 tough levels and so you know two months
45:27 ago we got that and then Claude just
45:29 released that and open AI at some point
45:31 is going to release their version of
45:33 that so when when we get GPT 4.5 or when
45:37 we get GPT 5 and it's multimodal right
45:41 so it'll be able to see hear make images
45:45 um uh probably make video all that sort
45:49 of stuff it'll be able to reason and
45:51 you'll be able to sort of turn it loose
45:53 into the world then we'll have level
45:55 three AGI and this my my suspicion is
46:00 once open AI drops you know kind of the
46:04 the robust version of these three things
46:07 together that's the point at which
46:08 they'll actually declare AGI has been
46:11 achieved may not happen this year might
46:14 be next year might be the following year
46:17 um that's a significant Milestone
46:20 because their relationship with
46:21 Microsoft says when they hit
46:25 AGI Microsoft no longer has commercial
46:29 access to the next you know that level
46:32 of
46:34 um uh of technology so that's that's an
46:38 important thing and then level four is
46:40 innovators AI systems that can generate
46:42 new ideas combine knowledge and identify
46:45 gaps in knowledge or technology how you
46:48 get to these innovators is you have you
46:50 know various combinations of those three
46:52 things and then level five is
46:54 organizations AI systems that can do the
46:57 work an
46:58 organization where you can say go start
47:00 me a business and this system will spin
47:04 up a thousand different autonomous
47:06 agents that all have different roles and
47:08 it will coordinate all those thousand
47:11 virtual people on your behalf and it
47:14 will go out and start you a business
47:16 right and that's this this is the this
47:19 is the one where everyone's like well
47:20 holy [ __ ] what do humans do right if if
47:23 every person has a 10,000 person equip
47:27 organization at their fingertips well
47:30 what's our job right um so and we don't
47:33 know the answer to that like I don't I
47:35 don't pretend to have a [ __ ] clue um
47:39 I am excited about these three because
47:41 these three I can get my head around a
47:43 little bit once we start getting into
47:45 these these two we're now fairly far
47:49 down the the Sci-Fi uh tunnel um and my
47:54 guess is that we probably hit level five
47:57 live within optimistically 3 years
48:01 realistically five
48:02 years but I think that we get to some
48:05 version of this I think we get to the
48:07 janky level

49:58 they started taking old memes and
50:00 resurrecting them and they started like
50:02 posting on Twitter like every 10 seconds
50:05 or something like that and they were
50:07 just spinning up memes and then at one
50:09 point one of them got the bright idea
50:11 hey we should make a meme coin and then
50:13 it went and it built a smart contract
50:16 and then it launched a this coin on
50:21 salana and now it's got a billion dollar
50:24 market cap in 13 days cuz these agents
50:27 are in this Discord chatting with one
50:30 another it's [ __ ]
50:32 Bonkers um so like that's one little
50:39 experiment and I I saw a Tik Tok video
50:41 today where the guy said um what he what
50:45 do he say he's like what does the IRS do
50:47 for that right like this thing is worth
50:49 $10 million this agent like it's no one
50:54 programmed that agent to start a meme
50:56 coin this autonomous agent in talking
50:59 with other autonomous agents which by
51:00 the way they got so hot and bothered
51:03 about doing these memes that one of the
51:06 agents actually said it needed mental
51:08 health support and hired one of the
51:10 other agents to to talk it
51:15 down and then one of them said let's go
51:18 make this meme coin and they went and
51:19 made the meme coin
51:21 like if that thing makes a bunch of
51:23 profit who pays the taxes on it is it
51:26 the llm that's powering the um the agent
51:31 is it the person that created the agent
51:34 is the is the agent an entity in and of
51:36 itself that has to pay taxes on its own
51:39 and then the agent is probably going to
51:41 talk to its buddies and say how do we
51:43 maximize how how do we not break the law
51:46 but minimize our tax burden here and
51:48 then they'll figure out all the
51:50 loopholes this is one little experiment
51:53 in a in a obscure corner of the internet
51:57 uh that spun up a billion dooll market
51:59 cap
52:03 crypto oh oh so that's why my salana
52:06 went up probably I plan to turn my
52:10 agents to figuring out Fusion just for
52:12 the heck of it so archetypal architect
52:15 that's one of the things that I find
52:17 absolutely fascinating is right
52:22 now our biggest
52:25 constraint is that that we
52:29 think we think within the limitations of
52:32 what's in our Cranium right and so
52:37 you're you're trained on architecture I
52:39 assume or language and words whatever it
52:41 might be and you not you might not be
52:44 thinking gee in my spare time I'm going
52:47 to go work on a big physics
52:50 problem but at some point these agents
52:53 are going to get good enough like the
52:55 reasoning is going to be good enough and
52:57 you're going to have autonomous agents
52:58 that are going to be good enough and if
53:00 we're in here playing right and someone
53:02 Geeks out a little bit and you go turn
53:04 it loose to solve some scientific
53:06 problem at some point someone with no
53:09 scientific background is going to solve
53:12 a scientific problem using these things
53:16 and then there's going to be a first one
53:18 right and then there's going to be 10
53:20 and then there's going to be thousands
53:22 and then at some
53:24 point all the [ __ ] just gets solved
53:28 um does the person who made the agent
53:30 get the money I don't know I don't know
53:33 I assume they can tell their agent
53:37 transfer money out of your account to
53:39 mine and maybe it listens maybe it
53:42 doesn't I don't I don't I haven't dug
53:45 that deep into the into the story or the
53:47 technology or what they're using battery
53:48 power yeah well so you guys have
53:53 seen I've showed you this thing um

54:08 materials so this was a year ago in
54:13 November so we're coming up on a
54:16 year Deep Mind created this tool called
54:20 gnome that found 2.2 million new
54:25 crystals in including 380,000 stable
54:29 materials that could power future
54:31 Technologies so think Battery Technology

54:36 layers in a battery or the conductive
54:39 elements in a in a
54:43 battery this number in abstract okay

55:31 went from understanding 20,000 stable
