25. 6:08um but because it doesn't cuz I don't have cell service with it and I can't I haven't figured out how to hook it up to
26. 6:16my complicated work wi-fi that's got like some actual I don't know it's some [ __ ] I got to deal with I've been it's never
27. 6:27connected to the internet and then when it is connected to the internet I've got my phone and I've got computers around
28. 6:44me I still think the form factor is rather amazing and I'm I'm just kind of waiting for the software to suck a little bit
29. 6:54less but I don't I don't know that I'm going to use it [Music] they were going for a th000 bucks now they're going for 600 so they're coming

31. 7:29learning lab well thank you very much I suppose that is a lovely compliment [Music] um I think the the one that is the most
32. 7:42um the one that continues to surprise me in in that a that it still works and B that it's just it's just it saves us
33. 7:57days when we're on boarding clients at storyvine and it's I created a a form so we've got a we've got a creative process when we kick off a
34. 8:10client we have to write story Vine's this prompt driven video recording platform so we have an app and it guides
35. 8:17someone to answer a series of questions well you got to write those questions and the Art of Story vine is the art of
36. 8:25writing those prompts and if you get them right you get really good consistent high quality authentic video and if you get them wrong they
37. 8:32suck and especially when you've got agencies involved who are not used to writing for the storyvine platform
38. 8:40they're used to writing for traditional video production they literally don't understand what the [ __ ] we're talking
39. 8:45about when we talk about prompts and and how to write them and how many there can be like they're like we want it to be a
40. 8:52two-minute video here's the 17 questions we're going to ask no the math doesn't work so so so we spent in the in the 12
41. 9:02years story Vine's been around we spent an inordinate amount of time just educating people on how to do what we do
42. 9:09and then trying to creatively collaborate with them after we told them they didn't know what they were talking
43. 9:15about and so I wrote this little script that we we took the manual process and we asked him a couple of questions
44. 9:23what's the kind of story you want to tell who's the target audience you know what are you trying to you know achieve with
45. 9:30them and then in the ideal video what would the person be saying and everyone can say that well they would say hi my
46. 9:37name is my name is Sally and I was diagnosed with the blah blah blah in you know 20 whatever and then you know it sucked and
47. 9:46then I got the pills and now I feel better huh okay and so we reverse engineer that into these series of prompts well those
48. 9:56are all inputs we can put in a form so we put them in a form and then we trained um chat GPT we created a a
49. 10:04clever prompt that included how we write those those questions with examples and you fill out a form with the client on screen and it just
50. 10:16goes spits out the questions and posts them to our slack Channel and then the the account team just copies the ones
51. 10:23that are appropriate and just shows them to the client says here's your questions let's edit them like that one to me is
52. 10:29is just one of those things where we had a we had a a real thorn in our [Music] side so that's a small one and then I
53. 10:40guess the big one is you know I've got a a new for for 12 years storyvine you would answer questions in an app and a
54. 10:47video would come out and that's what you got you paid us money we'd build you a template your people would answer
55. 10:53questions they' get video or you'd get video that you could use of them and now we built this thing called
56. 10:59called the authenticity engine which is this cascading series of AI Generations that starts with a transcript of the
57. 11:06video and then it makes a title a description key messages it chapter IES it breaks it into modules creates a blog post
58. 11:15hashtags pull quotes of interesting things that were said in the video I mean it's just [ __ ] slickered than
59. 11:22[ __ ] and so and so we've got a very different deliverable now than we did for the last 12 years look over night

68. 13:39money why Google hasn't released the one at AI Studio into Gemini is [ __ ] Beyond me it's been months that one I think I don't know if
69. 13:52it's better it's it's it's competent and a million tokens is a big [ __ ] deal and it's multimodal you can upload video you can upload
70. 14:03audio you can upload 11 hours of audio recordings into Gemini 1.5 Pro and it it will just be able to understand every all the 11
71. 14:19hours it's [ __ ] Bonkers but it's hidden it's in a it's in a teeny little Dev corner off in the [ __ ] you know [ __ ] hole of Google Now
72. 14:32um Microsoft co-pilot is should be better than it is it's using gp4 as the back end but
73. 14:47they've got the the the prompt for what it does so hobbled with security that it's just it's just not good and like the
74. 14:58interface is just they they just it's just not good right yet so so so uh so that's not really an answer is
75. 15:10it some parts of part of Google are somewhat sort of better and then other parts of Microsoft suck a little
76. 15:24less not exactly a ring endorsement for either is it just show the Gemini bear use case yeah go to go to gemini.com and
77. 15:35say um make a picture of of a bear with magical fairy wings standing underneath a uh waterfall in a magical Woods at at
78. 15:48dusk and watch what it gives you we have lovingly called it the the Gemini bear it is embarrassingly

88. 18:15if they didn't release a new version of chat GPT as [Music] well but I'm also I've got a little conspiracy theory going in my head right
89. 18:29[Laughter] now I think that I think that Sam Alman is just [ __ ] toying with us I think he's he's making all these announcements and not
90. 18:44really releasing anything just enough that people get their hopes up and then he doesn't release anything and people are getting
91. 18:52more and more and more pissed off and I think he's just he's just gaging the barometer of rage and right
92. 19:01when a rage starts to hit its boiling point then I think he's going to drop some cool [ __ ] on us oh man chat GPT has been hella slow
93. 19:11today yeah if if chat GPT gets wonky and especially if it's wonky for more than one day in a row that generally means
94. 19:19they're updating something on their they're taking Banks of servers offline to upgrade software so if this is a major update
95. 19:28and if if they're switching the domain to chat gp.com if that's going to be the the the main interface
96. 19:36um yeah it would make sense that it's a little shitty today yeah I saw I saw a couple of tweets like it just got stupid people
97. 19:46are rate limiting out after like three or four prompts oh the games they play they are going to start ads on
98. 19:56their search engine unless you you have paid chat GPT all right if you don't have paid chat GPT unless you can't afford it
99. 20:07unless you like can't give up your three cups of coffee a month from the the shitty Barista who treats you like [ __ ]
100. 20:18anyway you should be spending the 20 bucks a month for chat GPT [Music] plus to going back to the question
101. 20:28before which is better you know Google or co-pilot neither of them chat PT is [Music] better no one's caught them
102. 20:39yet everyone's like we're close we're almost as good some benchmarks they were better you can make money with J big but
103. 20:51no one beat him yet no one has consistently beat him claude's the closest one but claude's not multimodal and Claude you can't it
104. 20:59doesn't have code interpreter perplexity got uh searching but it's not a very good [Music]

114. 22:53because you could go get a whole [ __ ] ton of um you know PDFs and and and you know Market Research in PDF form and just upload them all
115. 23:05into um and and charts and graphs and even like audio podcasts of market research people talking about market
116. 23:13research just upload it all into Gemini Pro 1.5 and I bet you could do some really interesting damage with

125. 24:53this Tik Tok Channel nobody gave a [ __ ] so but if I got on there and said this thing is the scourge of the universe and
126. 25:01I want to do a class action lawsuit for how horrible this device is you know it's just an Android app don't you I should have done it like

128. 25:20Nostalgia factor is through the [ __ ] roof I think the build quality is really good you can't really see like the the
129. 25:27camera does doesn't really catch it right but it's like fluorescent like Hunter orange yellow like I could wear
130. 25:33this out deer hunting and probably be fine um it's well made the vision stuff is decently um it's like decently quick so you
131. 25:49um to to turn on the camera you flip the little you hit that button twice and see there's a little cylinder in the top there that's the
132. 26:00camera but it's rolled down right now but if I go bang bang Z there a cute little thing and if I turn this Z it
133. 26:10flips it around there so then what's on that side Z now it's over there um so let's see um we'll do

203. 40:13iPad out of the house which its whole point is to be mobile and to carry it around and always be there and this I carry with me I don't use

213. 42:14that that 2hour session was was just a good example of it was like a jam session where everybody was throwing out
214. 42:21ideas and I was trying different things and sometimes udio was [ __ ] brilliant and sometimes it was just trash fion you
215. 42:28know and it and it was it was like 2 hours of like working and working and working and working and working to get a thing that sounds like a
216. 42:39song and it's like you know who wrote like the the the questions I put in my LinkedIn piece let me
217. 42:54see uh uh uh uh uh uh uh [Music] oh then there was that Randy Travis thing that's amazing yeah so the process we did idea
218. 43:08concepting in chat gp4 with me talking like Sling Blade then we did lyric generation then there were lots of
219. 43:15rewrites and ideas from the Irregulars from the audience from you from y'all from the community then we had numerous attempts
220. 43:25to get udio to generate something interesting then we had many attempts trying to extend the song that were some were just
221. 43:33bad then I published it then we finally got it done I published it to social media then I realized oh I should add a
222. 43:39an image to it and I made an image in mid Journey Only to realize you can't upload an image to yudo so we had to make an image inside
223. 43:47yudo then I republished it but it didn't update any of my twitters with the new image so then I got cranky and left
224. 43:58and then uh let's see if Pi was in the rabbit R1 would it be better it would be so much better Rudy it's it it's not the
225. 44:07the one of the problems with the rabbit right now is it's using perplexity and it's got It's got shitty prompting in it
226. 44:15it's like it it's just it's not it's not pie it's not chat GPT and so it's just not good um but here's the questions I posed
227. 44:26so so we put out this song If the song is good and it moves you does it matter how it was created and I mean that very seriously
228. 44:37like if you hear I'll I'll play I'll play um I'll play weird Mary the the song we made is called weird Mary from
229. 44:44Cedar Hill and if you just heard that and you and you thought oh that's that's a cool song and it moved you and it was
230. 44:50interesting and and was compelling in some way does it matter how it was created so that was one question then
231. 45:01what percentage of human involvement makes it not AI generated or what percentage of AI generation makes it not human
232. 45:12generated and then should should the song be labeled AI music or should it just be labeled music and then the last question is if I
233. 45:22learn the song on my guitar and sing it is it still AI music [Music]

326. 1:03:13something that didn't suck there were a couple of candidates quite frankly there were a couple other ones there was one
327. 1:03:19that had a female singer that I I heard it this morning and and I thought that was that was pretty good too but there
328. 1:03:29was just something about that one that kind of had the that edge to it and then and then it was just iterations within
329. 1:03:37yudo where we were changing out the lyrics and you know we do a version of it and then someone would have a better
330. 1:03:43idea for lyrics like Joker had the nervous Hospital line and then the we did we did some hand crafting on the the
331. 1:03:54she bought her she stole herself aoda and called called the clerk a jerk which that was a pretty good line

510. 1:36:10then it writes you a whole script for a movie it plans out the shots it writes the scenes writes the
511. 1:36:18dialogue plans out the shots renders the images for each shot using all sorts of parameters like close-up wide shot things like that puts
512. 1:36:28them all together um and like even a 30 second it does it in like again everything's 30 second chunks it makes like a 30- second video
513. 1:36:38but it's got like five scenes three shots each you could spend days refining that script and like adding shots to it and
514. 1:36:49timing the shots to the script and rewriting the script or you can just put in make me a video of a dog that goes
515. 1:36:56through a car wash and gets its fur all soapy and it'll make it or you could make it clever and good right so there's going to be lots and
516. 1:37:09lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of tools where it it doesn't require doesn't require any Talent from you or anyone else
517. 1:37:28but creative people and people with good work ethics and people with critical thinking skills and people with good
518. 1:37:36judgment and people with taste and people with something to say and a point of view are going to use those same exact
519. 1:37:45tools and they're going to do remarkable work and you're going to Marvel at it you won't know how they got there and
520. 1:37:54how they got there was hard work so so learn the tools well enough to understand what they make possible and then and the lights came on
521. 1:38:09and then they went off then they came on so I'm going to show you a tool right now that is a really good example of you can choose to use
522. 1:38:30this in a passive way here so decco here. a and I'm on the explore tab you can go to the create Tab and you can type a
523. 1:38:44prompt but but watch watch what this does so I'm on the explore tab so I'm going to grab this thing's kind of
524. 1:38:50funny so here's kind of an interesting poke pish Mario is cartoony Illustrated it says an unbeatable video
525. 1:39:00game so I can either click create my own which is going to use this as an inspiration and I can go modify the
526. 1:39:07prompt or I can uh upscale it or I can add it to my library or this little icon this little icon says create
527. 1:39:17station and so what a station is is a NeverEnding Scroll of original artwork that's being generated one image
528. 1:39:31per second essentially for Infinity so how do you use a tool like this well I don't know for one thing you
529. 1:39:44don't need to prompt it you can you can go create a prompted image and you can turn that into a station like these but
530. 1:39:52like okay that little thing right there I love that thing I don't know what the prompt is behind that I don't care I
531. 1:39:58just like it so I'm going to say create a station out of that and now you could treat this really passively like entertainment or you
532. 1:40:09could say hey that gives me an idea for a story to tell and then you could start to think about well if I wanted to tell that
533. 1:40:21story what would it be would I tell the story of the device would I tell the story of the person that invented it would I tell

538. 1:41:08some of it's good some of it's crap but eventually it's going to stumble upon something here that's interesting like that's kind of

544. 1:42:13library and imagine that for any kind of writing any kind of problem solving any kind of programming any kind of animation any kind of 3D
545. 1:42:25object any kind of 3D World any kind of gameplay anything imagine a system like this that when you click on this instead of it
546. 1:42:37being an image this is a whole um sort of Consulting analysis of an industry right so instead of the outputs
547. 1:42:47being images it's it's research and Analysis of that research and you can just have instant access to that stuff and it's just it's
548. 1:42:58just rolling by what do you do with that but that's the world we're entering right we're not there yet but if you
549. 1:43:11look at this and if you understand a little bit about how AI Works what you learn is that the reason this makes images really
550. 1:43:21good and udio makes songs really good and chat gbt makes words really good is that they just train them on different
551. 1:43:30data this tool train things on images and so it does images really good udio train things on music so it does music really
552. 1:43:43good and so any kind of knowledge work is going to be at our disposal over the next 3 years in in rally powerful
553. 1:43:54ways so the skill that's going to be asked of you is not do you have the skill it's going to be do you have the
554. 1:44:03aptitude do you have the Curiosity do you have the Judgment do you have the taste do you have the drive do you have the
555. 1:44:13interest do you have the creativity to connect the dots between these crazy images and some analysis of a business
556. 1:44:24well what would be the connection there Kyle I don't know but I'll tell you what there's going to be some people that get
557. 1:44:30really [ __ ] good at that and they're going to seem like magicians because that's not how most people are trained right now most people
558. 1:44:39are trained on a single specialty most people are going to school for a single specialty I like to call this era
559. 1:44:48revenge of the liberal arts majors the neuro Divergent will run and rule the world using AI I think so this app

574. 1:47:12gets the work who gets the work are people who are trusted who have good work ethics who are creative who can get [ __ ]
575. 1:47:21done that's who it's work not who's got the best degree not who spent the most time learning JavaScript it's going to be who knows

589. 1:49:39forget what it was and so they had to run out of whatever building they were in and run out under the dusty desert
590. 1:49:46tarmac and they piled into three Russian helicopters and then they did a wide shot of the airport tarmac and the three
591. 1:49:56Russian helicopters take off and the dust flies and then there's like eight army vehicles that follow them right
592. 1:50:02they all take off to go wherever the [ __ ] they're going and I looked at that shot and I'm like okay that shot was 15 seconds on
593. 1:50:12film it probably took two or three months to plan you know they probably spent I don't know 50 $70,000 just in insurance
594. 1:50:23probably another $100,000 in rentals right renting trucks cars the airport I love the American Seasons yeah the

604. 1:52:23no other video thing does that all the other video tools do all this warping the the way this does what it does
605. 1:52:31is this isn't so much a video tool as it is a world simulation model and they're doing all sorts of crazy math where
606. 1:52:39they're breaking up a flat image into these things called what are they called panels forget what they're
607. 1:52:50called Kyle's disturbing The Matrix with these Revelations but they basically break the they break the image into a grid and
608. 1:52:59then they take each little part of the image and they understand what it is and what its relationship to the rest of the
609. 1:53:05world is and then they look at that over like three seconds like 100 frames and then they make sure it's coherent across those 100
610. 1:53:14frames and so so this system actually understands like the physics of this room which is [ __ ] insane it's it's not making like the way
611. 1:53:29we make 3D worlds right now if you look at Unreal Engine is you build 3D worlds and you build textures and you build
612. 1:53:36lighting models you build all this rendering you know all of these geometries that have to be rendered this
613. 1:53:45understands all of that but it doesn't have to build everything it just goes oh we're in a we're in a museum here and
614. 1:53:52these are paintings and the camera's moving and this is going here well I I understand that this is a painting and
615. 1:53:58it should not change in shape as the camera moves it's not vectors it's no they're not called pixels they're called here
616. 1:54:08it's it's on this page let me let me go down and research techniques there's a there's a paper

621. 1:55:09interactions this this isn't just a video tool introducing Sora our text to video model um here I'll show you how it works
622. 1:55:18here let me go to the research they talk about some of the problems it has which is nice that they did that research
623. 1:55:36techniques are technical report okay here what are they called patches
624. 1:55:51patches is okay so if you understand how video works video works by having a frame with visual information on it and then you
625. 1:56:04have a bunch of those in a row right that you know 24 frames a second 30 frames a second 60 frames a second and
626. 1:56:11you go out in the real world and you take a camera and it it you know has all these pixels on it and so what they're doing with their little
627. 1:56:19patches is they're taking each image and they're doing visual encoding so that they understand what this is they understand what this image
628. 1:56:31is they understand this is a coral reef they understand this is a butterfly they understand that butterflies you know are
629. 1:56:38animals and lighter and softer than coral and you know technically they shouldn't be interacting but it understands how this works and it
630. 1:56:46understands how this works so it can put put them together then what it does is it breaks that single image into patches
631. 1:56:54so into small little discrete areas a grid right and so it understands that this little patch of the butterfly wing
632. 1:57:05right is a butterfly wing and if it's moving a little bit it understands that over time right so you take one of those
633. 1:57:16patches and if that little patch is that little front of the butterfly wing it understands that over time it's got keep
634. 1:57:22track of that and keep it co coherent so so it's understanding a complex Matrix of interactions of objects in a
635. 1:57:32single frame and then it's doing it like over a 100 frames it's [ __ ] insane [ __ ] insane that's what Sora is everyone
636. 1:57:42thinks it's a video tool it's not a video tool I mean it is it's going to give us lots of cool video now here's
637. 1:57:48the deal you're you're like that seems complicated yeah I think to do a minute of video at something like 20 or 30
638. 1:57:55minutes or an hour like it's it's not fast but it's understanding and simulating reality when we look back on
639. 1:58:05these lives the equivalent of us raving about MS DOS exactly this is going to do you do you know that like right now whatever this
640. 1:58:15resolution is let's say it's 20 across and 10 down right like two years from now it's you know it's going to be down
641. 1:58:21to the pixel level where in real time it's going to be understanding every pixel and every pixel's relationship to
642. 1:58:29the physics of the world it's representing and it's going to be able to do that over an hour instantly you like you'll I I mean we
643. 1:58:39are so close to being able to literally just describe a movie and have it start playing and then go no make it a girl
644. 1:58:49make it a cartoon um make it a comedy I'm board speed it up slow it down ooh I want to know more about that character
645. 1:58:57run down that rabbit hole and just it'll just start doing it we're not that far from that world three years five years crazy all
