Description
Expertise is dying. Trust and connection are ascending. How will we win when value in society flips upside down?
The discussion highlights the immediate professional impact of AI, sharing how community members Joy Purdy (a sleep analyst) and Kelly Boesch are being contacted by Oscar nominees and Hollywood screenwriters for their innovative video work. The key insight is that future success isn't about mastering specific software; itβs about understanding what you want and using AI as an enabler to amplify deeply personal stories and passions. Kyle notes that this authentic, quality-driven approach is what attracts major industry attention.
Kyle, Ann, and Donnie emphasize the value of their supportive AI learning community, which celebrates both total beginners and recognized experts equally. They also discuss how generative AI is transforming career paths, sharing the story of one member who, after getting certified, was tapped to create the internal AI curriculum for her multinational company. The episode concludes with a practical demo of the emergent.sh code generation tool, successfully building a functional Asteroids clone.

0:01 to fall in love. 0:48 Standing between 0:51 you and a hard place is the 0:58 Standing too near 1:01 you in a fire. Makes it clear. 1:08 You're trouble to me. 1:14 Rich rubble. Can't you see? 1:20 Leaning in close. 1:24 Smell of your perfume scares me most. 1:27 You You singing champ? This is it. 1:30 Leaning away 1:34 feels stronger every 1:37 day. 1:41 Your trouble to me. 1:47 Real trouble. Okay, if you'll see 2:25 Every time I see you now, 2:28 get that look in mine. 2:32 Every time I see your mouth, I hear that 2:36 smile. 2:39 The early misty morning that I heard the 2:43 engine turning in the old for outside. 2:53 You were leaving me 2:56 again today. 3:00 You were convinced me 3:03 again today. 3:06 You're leaving this hotel looking for 3:09 someone else's golden ring. 3:15 Should I say 3:17 so long, Suzan? 3:23 Hush now. Don't you cry. 3:32 Um, what's happening good people? What 3:35 is going down? What is What is my hair? 3:38 My hair. My hair. What is happening with 3:42 my hair? 3:43 It's got I got some new product and it's 3:46 uh 3:48 Well, 3:50 it's tall. 3:52 Hey, Steo. What's happening? What's 3:55 shaking with you good people? What's 3:57 What's going on with the good people 3:59 here on the AI learning lab? 4:03 Are you all? It's good. Oh, good. Here's 4:07 good. All right. Fine. I'll take it. 4:32 D. 6:09 Wait, why is Joy Party freaking out? Why 6:13 is Joy Party freaking out? 6:20 Oh, carnival songs rule. You heard my 6:23 little carnival song. 6:32 Oh man, what's happening with Joy Party? 6:35 Okay. A famous movie person, Oscar 6:37 nominee reached out. Verified it's 6:40 really him. No idea why, but meeting 6:43 scheduled. Okay. Joy Party. 6:47 Attention. Joy Pertie. Is Joy Pertie in 6:50 the house? Joy. Joy Party. He's reaching 6:53 out because you're talented. 6:56 Hate to break it to you, but that 6:58 imposttor syndrome's got to go. All 7:00 right. Fantastic. BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY 7:03 SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING. 7:06 WELL, that's [ __ ] far out. 7:16 For those of you here who might be new, 7:20 pay attention to what's happening. 7:25 Look around you. If you were there at 7:27 the salon tonight and you heard Kelly 7:29 Bes talk about the fact that some major 7:33 Hollywood screenwriter is reaching out 7:34 to her wanting to work with her. She's 7:37 going to can as a 7:41 special member of the jury. 7:44 A jury that's all pasty white men. 7:50 Joy Perie is getting reached out to by 7:52 an Academy Award nominee. Why? because 7:56 she's talented and she's putting her 7:58 work out there. 8:00 And you're like, "Well, yeah, but Joyy's 8:02 got like 30 years of film editing 8:04 experience." Oh, does she? Or is she a 8:09 sleep analyst 8:11 that got a little inspired later in 8:13 life? 8:21 Oh my god. Yeah. Let us know how it 8:24 goes. That's so cool, man. 8:36 How did they reach out to you? 8:51 I would say that there's a couple of 8:52 things to pay attention to here with 8:55 with what's happening with Joy, what's 8:56 happening with Kelly. 9:00 I think that 9:02 Kelly talked about this a bit tonight 9:04 and and you did a bit as well, Joy, but 9:06 I but 9:09 it's not that they're both doing video. 9:11 It's not that 9:14 What Kelly talked about tonight is that 9:19 she actually doesn't have a lot of 9:21 interest in doing work that doesn't 9:23 interest her, 9:26 right? She doesn't want to work for 9:27 brands. She doesn't want to do shitty 9:29 schllocky buy more Doritos videos. 9:35 She wants to do like real work. One of 9:37 the things that Joy, 9:40 one of the inspiring things about Joyy's 9:42 story, my favorite part about your 9:44 story, Joy, is when I asked you when you 9:47 did a video for the AI salon 9:50 and I watched it and I'm like, this is 9:52 better than it. She's not a beginner 9:54 because it's got it's got better edits 9:57 and writing and comedy and 10:01 just sophisticated [ __ ] in it. way 10:03 clever ways that she covered up the jank 10:06 of the technology of the time. 10:09 And I said, "Oh, you've been a filmmaker 10:11 by training, right?" She was like, "No, 10:14 I'm a sleep analyst." 10:18 I [ __ ] love that. And I said, "Well, 10:20 how did you like how how did you do 10:23 this? If you're just learning this [ __ ] 10:26 you shouldn't be this good." 10:28 And her answer was the best answer. All 10:31 my life, I've had stories I've wanted to 10:34 tell, and I never had a way to do it. 10:40 Both of these women are getting really 10:42 interesting work and offers 10:45 because the work that they're doing in 10:48 AI is deeply connected to who they are 10:52 and what they're passionate about. Joy, 10:54 that's why Joy Perie, you're so funny. 10:58 It's helping with my anxiety. 11:07 Oh my god, that's awesome. There there 11:14 I can't state this enough. 11:19 Our job in the future is not going to be 11:22 learn how to use this piece of software. 11:25 Our job in the future is not learn how 11:28 to do accounting. Our job in the future 11:30 is not learn how to do this tactical 11:33 execution thing. 11:37 Our job in the future is to be able to 11:40 understand who we are, what we want, 11:48 who we care about, 11:50 how we want to impact them. 11:54 And then just go do that 11:57 heart. 12:00 And this is not that's follow your 12:02 passion [ __ ] 12:05 right? You know, all the self-help gur 12:08 gurus do. 12:11 Just follow your passion. It'll come. It 12:14 may, but you could also go broke. 12:22 This is about deep down inside every one 12:24 of us. 12:26 There's the answer to that question. 12:27 What do you want more of in your life? 12:31 I want more money. No, you don't. 12:36 I want a car. Okay. 12:38 Well, what's that car going to get you? 12:40 I want girls. Okay. You want to get 12:41 laid? All right. I want to be loved. Oh, 12:44 okay. There it is. We all We all know We 12:47 all know somewhere deep down there is 12:50 that thing. 12:55 What if 12:57 the future that we're stepping into, the 13:02 science fiction movie that we all now 13:04 live in? 13:16 What if our job in that future was just 13:19 to understand what it is that we want 13:22 and be clear enough about it that we're 13:24 motivated to make it happen and that the 13:27 AI is just going to help us do it. The 13:29 AI is just there as an enabler 13:33 and it's up to us. Do you want to do 13:34 something shitty? 13:37 Do you want to bully more people per 13:40 hour than any other bully in history? 13:42 You can do that. 13:46 You want to tell cool stories. 13:50 What do you want to do? 13:57 Also important to have a support system 13:59 community like yourselves in a salelon. 14:02 I would feel so alone and isolated 14:04 without. 14:14 You know what's going to be you know 14:16 what Joy I mean well first of all you 14:21 know what what what is a possibility 14:23 here is that someone from Hollywood is 14:27 reaching out to you. It's possible they 14:29 saw you on Festivus or they saw a a 14:32 video of you talking about well I made 14:36 this video and when I upscaled it kind 14:38 of [ __ ] up their hands. So, I spent 14:40 five months 14:42 rotoscoping in fingers and hands 14:46 so that my video looks good. 14:50 Like, you've got you've got a 14:53 a drive to do quality work, Joy. That is 14:59 It's not common. 15:02 It's not common. It's not common for 15:05 someone to to start working on a film. 15:09 This this is the story of the AI salon 15:11 film. And sorry if I'm picking on you. I 15:12 hope I don't make you feel 15:13 uncomfortable. I'm really proud of you. 15:16 She starts working on a film using 15:18 shitty AI tools that are crappy. 15:22 And then she realizes um I don't really 15:25 know much about editing. So she spent 15:28 like whatever two or three months 15:30 working on the first two and a half 15:31 minutes of this film. and she was like, 15:33 "Uh, you know, if I'm going to be a 15:35 filmmaker, I might want to learn about 15:37 editing or something." She went out and 15:39 she got Da Vinci Resolve. And then she 15:42 spent like the next six months making 15:44 other films 15:46 so she could learn Da Vinci Resolve 15:50 so she could then come back to 15:52 the salon film she was working on and 15:54 finish it. She finished it in like a 15:56 week and a half or two weeks because she 15:58 know used the tools down. The tools got 16:00 better. 16:03 That's not common. 16:07 So I think what that what that person is 16:10 going to find out when they work with 16:12 you is that they made the right call by 16:14 reaching out and as and as listen as 16:20 as scary as it is and as as like yeah 16:23 that voice in your head like I don't 16:25 know if I'm going to be good enough. 16:27 That's all of us. We all have that. 16:32 I Every time someone reaches out to me 16:34 and says, "You want to do a job?" 16:37 Every [ __ ] time. 16:39 And then I do it and I'm like, "That was 16:41 fine. You'll be the same." It's really 16:44 cool. Really cool. 16:55 It took me years to push myself to 24 16:58 chapters before AI. Yep. All my life 17:01 I've had stories to tell, but writing 17:03 them writing was so timeconuming. Yep. 17:21 Anyway, Joy, that is very exciting. And 17:24 listen, it's like here here's the thing 17:26 to know about Hollywood and Hollywood 17:28 people and and creative projects. It's 17:31 it they're a mess. Every everyone's all 17:33 over the place. So, it's as likely it 17:36 turns into just being a [ __ ] show or a 17:38 nothing or it could turn into something 17:41 really big and exciting. I mean, that's 17:42 you just keep keep rolling the dice, 17:45 man. Someone reaches out and said, "I 17:46 won an Oscar and I want to talk to you." 17:48 Go [ __ ] talk to them. 17:57 You never know. You never know. 18:05 So, tonight at the AI salon, if you 18:07 weren't there, we had speakers from AI 18:10 Festivus. 18:11 We invited a bunch to show up and then a 18:13 bunch more showed up because it's a cool 18:14 community. Um, and we just had people 18:17 come up come up on stage and just talk 18:20 about what they talked about and what 18:21 were their big insights from festivists 18:23 and what are their hopes and dreams for 18:25 the future. 18:29 And it's like it's like it's just a cool 18:32 community of of people like, "Yeah, I 18:34 think I'm getting my head around this 18:36 thing. I'm gonna I think I'm going to go 18:38 just [ __ ] 18:40 I'm GOING TO GO 18:43 AND THEN WE HAVE NEW PEOPLE IN THE 18:44 COMMUNITY. THEY'RE LIKE, "Holy [ __ ] you 18:47 can just do this." 18:50 Oh, thank you so much, whoever did that. 18:52 Digital gods. Lord, digital gods coming 18:54 in hot with the Tik Tok gifts. Thank 18:56 you. Um, 18:59 it's just a it's a cool mix. You know 19:01 what's fun is 19:04 is being in a community where someone 19:06 who comes in who knows nothing 19:09 is celebrated as much and and and 19:12 particularly 19:14 people who know nothing in our community 19:16 come in and they're like uh hey how's it 19:20 going? Yeah. Uh I know nothing. 19:24 So the courage it takes for someone to 19:26 just do that gets celebrated and then 19:29 you know someone you know someone 19:32 reaches out to someone to do some really 19:34 cool work and people like [ __ ] yeah. 19:37 There's something about this community 19:39 that's just it's just awesome. It's just 19:41 celebratory. 19:44 Everyone wants everyone to win, 19:48 you know? I 19:51 like I'm I I'm I'm like right in the 19:54 middle of sort of personal 19:55 transformation and then I'm right in the 19:57 middle of this transformation where 20:01 David Shapiro did a po a post today 20:03 where he's like shit's getting real, 20:06 right? Shit's getting real. I don't know 20:08 if you saw what Nvidia put out today, 20:10 but they've got some new six chip set 20:15 on a board that does inference 10 times 20:19 10 times faster for four or five three 20:22 times cheaper, 10 times, I don't know. 20:27 Shit's going to get real in 2026. It's 20:29 going to get real. 20:32 And none of us know what's going on. 20:34 None of us know 20:36 how to generate money. None of us know 20:39 how to generate demand. 20:45 But the people in this community are 20:48 like, 20:49 you know what I need to do? I just need 20:51 to keep working. 20:53 Liz Miller Gersfeld today, she's like, 20:56 I'm trying to articulate what I do to 20:58 people and I literally can't form the 21:00 words, 21:02 right? She literally can't figure out 21:04 what to say to people who don't 21:06 understand AI 21:09 what she does. 21:13 But at some point 21:16 she'll be able to and that'll be fine. 21:19 But she said in the meantime I'm going 21:21 to do good work. I'm going to do work 21:22 that I'm excited about. I'm going to I'm 21:24 going to come up with ideas and then I'm 21:26 going to do work that lives up to those 21:28 ideas and that's going to be my job. 21:31 I think that's I think that's our 21:33 [ __ ] job. I think that is our [ __ ] 21:35 job. I'm laughing here because I was 21:38 like, uh, I have no clue. Tell me. 21:41 >> Yeah. I mean, listen, Sonia, it it it is 21:46 it is a powerful place to be to just 21:48 say, you know, I'm here and I'm just 21:52 getting started. 21:54 And I and I liked what you said today 21:56 that that you're like listen, you know, 21:58 you guys that have been doing this for a 21:59 while, you're you're in a different 22:01 place. I'm here just like everything's 22:03 open field to me right now. That's 22:06 that's beautiful. It's a good reminder 22:08 to me to like, you know, [ __ ] remind 22:10 yourself of the wonder of these tools 22:12 right now. New Tik Tok pin. Am I the 22:15 only one that's excited for the new Lego 22:17 release? If you didn't see Lego at CES, 22:19 it looks like it looks like the 22:21 breakaway hit of CES so far is LEGO 22:25 created a 2x4 brick that's got a um 22:30 voice generator and a computer in it and 22:33 sensors and then there's special pieces 22:36 like there's special mini figs that when 22:38 you put near it, it's it's aware of the 22:41 things you put around it and it's aware 22:43 of other smart bricks that are near it. 22:45 So it understands 3D space. So So Legos 22:49 Legos now have AI in them. 22:57 It's so cool. Here, let's go. Let's go 22:59 look at We'll go find a I'm sure there's 23:01 a video on it. 23:04 Let's go. Let's Hey. Hey, Bob. Let's go 23:08 to the videape. 23:10 Um, Lego brick 23:14 or Brock. Lego Brock. Yes. 23:18 >> Uh, it would really help if if we shared 23:21 your screen. 23:22 >> Yeah, I know. I was just getting my 23:23 thing up. 23:27 I was just getting my little thinger up. 23:30 He put his thinger right there on the 23:32 screen. Is this it? Smart Bricks at CES. 23:37 What if you could bring your imagination 23:39 to life for real? Play with your 23:41 creations and let them play back with 23:43 you. Well, that's exactly what we've 23:45 built. Wait, really? Introducing the 23:49 LEGO Smart Play System. Oh, boy. A new 23:52 platform made of endlessly interactive 23:54 smart bricks. Smart tags. Seriously? And 23:58 no way. Smart mini figures. Hold on. So, 24:01 you can interact with the little guys 24:03 now. All connected to bring play to life 24:06 like never before. 24:08 Whoa, was that a burp? These things can 24:11 burp. 24:12 >> And react to how you move with dynamic 24:14 sound and lights. Holy snitle, there's 24:17 lights. One brick to turn your Lego 24:20 builds into an opportunity to create, 24:22 explore, and unlock your imagination. 24:28 >> Ducks, this is going to be huge. Huge. 24:31 Come play in the next dimension with the 24:33 Lego Smart Play system. 24:36 >> Okay. Vicky the Crusher of Dreams said 24:38 that this isn't AI. All right, fine. But 24:41 it does have it does have voice 24:43 synthesis technology in the little 24:44 thing. Not an AI. Your bingo card is 24:48 safe. 24:53 That's funny. All right, let's go look 24:55 at another video. Let's see. 25:00 That's just a picture. 25:02 Oh, these are just pictures. 25:05 Let's see. 25:08 >> And here, maybe we'll add a pilot. And 25:10 here, maybe we'll add a pilot. 25:16 >> He sounds like he's having fun. Let's 25:17 see what happens. 25:22 >> I don't think he enjoys that. 25:25 >> But it's not just vehicles. We do tons 25:27 of other types of models and I'm sure 25:29 kids will want to as well. I'm sure you 25:31 all know the uh the Lego duck. Let's see 25:33 what happens when I put exactly the same 25:35 brick into the Lego duck. 25:42 >> Wow. 25:45 Bit of splashing around. And after a 25:47 long day splashing, maybe he needs a 25:48 little sleep. 25:56 I actually don't know whether Lego ducks 25:58 enjoy flying. Should we see if we can 25:59 find out? 26:04 >> I think we'll move quickly on past that 26:05 one. So, you can And here maybe we'll 26:07 add a pilot. 26:10 >> I don't I don't know how it knew the 26:12 duck was a duck. 26:21 minifigure. And you'll see from the 26:23 sound and the color when it detects it. 26:26 But it's not just looking for the 26:27 minifigure. It knows who that minifigure 26:29 is. And actually, it knows where that 26:31 minifigure is. So, as I move the 26:32 minifigure around, you'll see different 26:34 lights and colors depending on where the 26:36 minifigure is compared to the brick. 26:39 >> Digital gods. What happens when I step 26:41 in one with bare feet? It cusses for 26:44 you. 26:47 >> What does this allow us to do? Well, you 26:49 saw it's actually a very simple system, 26:51 a very simple addition, a platform that 26:54 they're adding into the Lego system at 26:56 play. It's the brick, it's the tags, and 26:59 it's the interactive mini figs. But all 27:02 together, what that unlocks is an 27:04 opportunity for interactivity, new 27:07 dimensions of responsiveness, 27:10 opportunity for more social play, and 27:12 for more storytelling. 27:14 >> What happens when they come to life? 27:16 >> Oh, I get it. So, so the smart tags, I 27:19 bet the smart tags are programmable. So, 27:22 you take a smart tag, you hook that to 27:24 your computer, you say, "I'm going to 27:25 put the smart tag on a duck." And so, 27:28 when you stick the brick on a smart tag 27:29 on the duck, it knows it's a duck. I get 27:32 it 27:34 cuz it walk like a duck. Duck can talk 27:36 like a duck. That That was That's close 27:39 to the answer, Silver Fox. But the 27:41 answer is smart tags. 27:43 So, you hear the uh the door unlock. 27:46 >> Lego Smart Play brings a whole new 27:48 dimension to physical play. Lego bricks 27:50 that play back is designed to inspire 27:53 kids imagination and get them playing 27:55 creatively time and time again. We've 27:57 put cutting edge technology, some of it 27:59 never seen before, into Lego Smart Play 28:02 to create a platform for physical 28:04 interactive play, allowing any Lego set 28:07 to come alive in kids hands. Films give 28:10 fans characters and stories to capture 28:12 their imaginations, but toys uh gave 28:15 them the opportunity to take these 28:16 stories home and continue them. 28:22 >> Well, I'm assuming that these things are 28:25 like infinitely hackable. 28:31 So, you could hook those to an Arduino, 28:33 vibe code yourself up some sort of Lego 28:36 action. And actually, you know what you 28:38 could do, Vicki? 28:40 You could, even though they're not AI, 28:42 you could do something where like when 28:44 the when the truck crosses the bridge, 28:47 right? 28:48 That that it fires off some some RFID 28:52 something near your Arduino and then 28:54 that fires off a an AI call. You could 28:59 we're gonna There's going to be an AI 29:01 hack for this before CES is over. All 29:03 right. I'm learning more and more about 29:05 toys when it comes to to deep think AI. 29:11 I can program my own NFC tags. 29:14 Yeah. 29:23 You know what I've seen which is really 29:25 cool and I know I should be working on 29:27 my daily practice but I'm avoiding it. 29:29 So just get off my case. 29:33 I need to take some time for me. This is 29:35 some me time. Okay. Okay. 29:52 What did I want to brag about? 29:59 Oh, notion. I did. Oh, I I did work on 30:01 my my notion today. I actually expanded 30:04 it. I'll I'll tell you about that in a 30:05 sec. Um, 30:10 irregulars when you have a chance, Kyle. 30:12 Oh boy. Here we go. 30:15 Oh, what have you done? What have you 30:17 done, Corey Sandler? 30:21 So proud of Joy Perie. Look at this. Oh, 30:23 this is awesome. 30:28 Here comes Hollywood. 30:34 That's awesome. 30:36 That's very good. 30:39 This is a cool community. 30:41 This is a downright cool community, if 30:45 you know what I'm saying. 30:54 Bring them up here. 31:02 Boom. 31:04 Uh oh, camera's off. Zoom crashed again. 31:12 Hey you kids. It It is If you all don't 31:16 know, it is Wait, I'm gonna make you 31:20 bigger. Wait, did I do that right? No. 31:22 Uh 31:22 >> oh. 31:24 >> Look. See? Look at that. Hello, you two. 31:28 >> Hello. What's shaking? 31:30 >> I'm Kyle. I'm so nervous. I've never 31:32 been live on the internets before. 31:35 >> On the internet. I It's okay, Donnie. I 31:37 do it every night. No one No one's 31:39 watching. 31:41 >> We No one's here. No one's watching. 31:44 They actually They love you. Here's the 31:46 thing. This This is the most generous 31:50 crowd. They They love you. And by the 31:52 way, they love you because of Festivist. 31:54 We had a blast tonight. Um, by the way, 31:56 I know you guys couldn't be there. 31:57 >> Go ahead. Um, but we had, I don't know, 31:59 15 different speakers. Producer Brandon 32:01 said, um, producing producing tonight 32:05 was more stressful than 24 hours of 32:07 Festivus because he didn't talk to him 32:09 backstage. He didn't know who was coming 32:11 up next. He didn't know who was ready. 32:14 >> But, um, but it was so good. It was just 32:17 it was just lots of love and lots of 32:20 people talking about, you know, what 32:22 they talked about, what their insights 32:23 from festivists were, what they're 32:25 thinking about for 2026. And it was just 32:27 it was very very nice. It was a really 32:29 nice way to end it. So, um, so you got 32:32 some love, but I'm glad you're here. How 32:34 you two doing tonight? 32:36 >> We're living the dream, Kyle. You know, 32:38 it's uh very it's very quiet here, which 32:41 is a nice change for our dog. 32:43 >> Oh, because all the kids are gone. 32:45 >> Kids are gone at the moment. We just got 32:47 dogs. We've got dogs here, you know. you 32:49 know, um I don't know about champion, 32:52 but our dogs, they like a lot more 32:55 attention than they get when when we're 32:57 in like AI festivist mode. 32:59 >> That's true. So, we're still 33:04 >> Well, Brandon's dog every night when So, 33:07 when the show ends, Brandon and I start 33:09 talking and Brandon's dog knows that 33:11 when Kyle and Brandon start talking, 33:14 it's time for cheese. 33:17 So, he goes nuts. 33:21 That was awesome. 33:23 >> Oh my god. Oh no. It was It was so good. 33:27 It was It was really nice tonight. It 33:28 was just good to see everyone again. 33:30 >> So, did people did people have a good 33:32 time sharing their sharing their stuff 33:34 at Festivus? 33:36 >> Yeah. And it was it was really cool 33:38 stuff. It was like like Kim Offford just 33:41 talked about how 33:43 watching like 33:46 for especially for the speakers that 33:48 spoke last year or that were there last 33:51 year to hear what they'd accomplished in 33:53 a year. Like one of the things Kim 33:54 Offford said is like we're all just like 33:56 trying to keep up with this AI stuff and 33:59 we kind of forget like what we actually 34:03 have created and what we've actually 34:05 accomplished. And she was just like she 34:07 was blown away by how much people have 34:09 done in a year. And she's like, you 34:11 know, I can't imagine what's going to 34:13 happen next year. 34:14 >> Yeah. 34:15 >> And Sun Sundee spoke and was just 34:17 talking about like her journey, which 34:19 was really cool. 34:20 >> Um Cindy [ __ ] talked um Kelly Bes talked 34:24 and she got up on stage and she was like 34:27 I forget what I talked about at 34:28 Festivus, but anyway, 34:31 which was great. 34:33 >> It was just really nice. It was It was 34:35 really good. It was a love fest, 34:37 >> man. Oh, man. I wish I could put a 34:39 little message in a bottle to know from 34:41 from today till, you know, this day in 34:44 2027. 34:45 >> Yeah. Well, that I mean, there was a lot 34:47 of talk people are really excited about 34:49 next year. 34:50 >> Yeah. 34:52 And I don't know there there's there's 34:55 uh 34:57 there was something an about 35:00 um 35:04 there's just something about it was 35:06 there's something about being in these 35:08 communities really allows people to have 35:11 the space to sort of figure this stuff 35:13 out and like people are kind of leveling 35:16 themselves up and figuring themselves 35:18 out professionally. 35:19 >> Yeah. and they have the space to do it. 35:22 And so 35:24 >> we talked about that tonight. I talked 35:25 about the space you create and like I 35:29 I'll I'll send you the video, but like 35:31 one of the things I said I'll just say 35:32 it to you now because you're here is um 35:37 like I've been in tech most of my life, 35:41 right? And the last three years is the 35:44 first time that I am regularly in 35:46 meetings with more women than men. and 35:49 like your commitment to making sure that 35:51 voices are included like it's created a 35:54 space 35:55 >> that that allows people to just come and 35:58 be and be self-expressed and like you 36:01 know there there's a nice balance of men 36:03 and women and it's just 36:04 >> I've never experienced that in my life 36:06 and it's just been there consistently 36:08 and it's just your commitment to that is 36:10 a huge piece of it I think. 36:13 >> That's pretty awesome. Yeah. Good. Good. 36:18 Yeah. Yeah. More of that. 36:20 >> I know, right? 36:21 >> And the salon. And the salon very I know 36:23 I don't spend as much time in the salon 36:25 as I should, but very clearly also an 36:28 extremely safe community for people to 36:31 express and to ask questions and to, you 36:35 know, ask for help. Um, yeah, 36:37 >> definitely definitely part of what's 36:38 going on there as well. So, I mean that 36:41 that's been made clear. So, that's 36:42 really cool, too. Yeah, we were we were 36:45 talking about that before you guys got 36:46 here that there's a there's a cool thing 36:49 in the in in this community where if Oh, 36:52 because Oh, you didn't hear this. Before 36:53 you guys got here, Joy Perie said some 36:57 um Tony or Oscar nominated filmmaker 37:00 reached out to her and she confirmed 37:01 that it's real. She doesn't know what 37:03 it's about yet, but like like stuff's 37:05 going to happen. But then but then, you 37:07 know, there's also people that are like, 37:08 "Hey, I'm just learning AI." And I and I 37:10 feel like this community celebrates both 37:12 of those people equally, right? That 37:15 someone just getting started is like, 37:16 "Hey, welcome in." Or, you know, an 37:18 Oscar award-winning filmmaker just 37:20 reached out to me. Hey, awesome. Like 37:22 it's just everyone wants everyone to 37:24 win, you know? 37:25 >> Right. Yeah. Like like good news, bad 37:27 news. Good news, bad news is that we're 37:30 hard to impress. 37:32 >> Yeah. 37:33 >> We're also very easy to impress. 37:37 Well, I think I think what it is is it's 37:40 like it's like the people who show up 37:42 and work hard and and and just put the 37:45 time in. It's like when they get 37:47 rewarded, it's like [ __ ] yes. And then 37:49 for someone who's who's new to have the 37:53 guts to not only show up to a community, 37:55 but not just lurk in the background, 37:57 show up in a community and say, "I'm 37:59 here. I'm new. Where do I go? What do I 38:02 do?" 38:02 >> Like that has a similar level of guts 38:05 required, right? Totally. Totally. Um, 38:08 we have an uh we have somebody who's new 38:11 to both of our communities and I'm not 38:13 going to drop drop the name just in 38:15 case, but um what they shared to me was 38:18 um so they just started to get to know 38:21 the AI salon a couple weeks ago from the 38:26 learning lab 38:27 >> and then 38:30 um went to Festivis and you know got to 38:34 know us a little little bit better and 38:37 was um beefing with someone on TikTok 38:41 about AI based on their learnings from 38:45 AI festivist. 38:47 >> Oh, that's awesome. 38:49 That's awesome. 38:51 >> I was like, "Yeah, that's awesome." 38:53 Like, 38:54 >> just I mean, that's the progression we 38:56 would love to see. It's definitely like 38:58 an accelerated version of it, but so so 39:00 good. 39:01 >> It's so good. It's so good. The other 39:03 thing we did, we we did did tell people 39:06 about the uh the the replay the deluxe 39:09 >> replay 39:10 >> deluxe. Don't forget that part. 39:12 >> And I I can I can no longer talk about 39:15 the deluxe replay bundle without adding 39:17 that I think it is dramatically 39:19 underpriced. 39:21 And I've told you this, Aaron. You know 39:23 this. Um 27 bucks. If you want if you 39:27 missed Festivus and you want to see 39:29 these remarkable speakers and what it 39:31 was and be inspired um for 27 bucks, you 39:34 get all the replays, you get 39:35 transcripts, you get Jelly Pod podcast, 39:38 you get things from Notebook LM. There's 39:40 all sorts of stuff in there. It's 39:42 amazing. And you guys put that together. 39:44 So, like kudos to you and the team. You 39:46 and Kate. We should mention Kate in 39:47 here. She's been mentioned Kate. 39:49 >> Mentioned in the comments here a couple 39:51 of times. Uh Lord Digital God says 39:53 Anne's great. Kate's great. And what 39:55 about Donnie? Lord digital gods. Did you 39:57 did you talk about Donnie? He's right 39:58 here. 39:59 >> We're gonna have feelings. 40:02 >> So, um, LDG, first of all, what a 40:06 legend. Um I but but everybody else too. 40:10 The the my favorite thing about the 40:12 replay the deluxe replay bundle 40:16 is that there are like one of my very 40:18 very fancy AI guru friends said that he 40:23 would like to experience um 90% 40:27 of the goodness of AI festivis 40:30 in five minutes or less. Mhm. 40:34 >> I was like, "Okay, can we go with like 40:36 80% of it in like 10 minutes?" I mean, 40:38 like, can you work with me a little bit? 40:41 But that's why I created the personal 40:44 curriculum 40:46 >> is so you can get like an atomized 40:49 version 40:50 >> pellet. 40:51 >> A little tiny a little tiny AI festivist 40:54 pellet. 40:55 >> That's good. Little 40:57 >> you specifically for you. 40:59 >> Specifically for you. Little nuggets of 41:01 knowledge. No, 41:01 >> it takes you to It takes you to the 41:04 timestamp and tells you what video to go 41:06 watch in the replay bundle. 41:08 >> Oh, that's so cool. That's so cool. 41:10 >> So, 41:11 >> it's amazing. Anyway, it's best deal in 41:14 town. 41:15 >> Yeah. I mean, it's made made possible by 41:18 all of the amazing speakers and 41:19 including yourselves that participated 41:22 though. 41:22 >> That is so good. 41:24 >> I mean I mean 41:25 >> fancy the fact Yeah. Just the fact that 41:27 you have all of that all of that stuff 41:29 right there. It's just bling. 41:30 >> Pretty amazing. 41:31 >> Yeah, pretty. 41:32 >> Yeah. Didn't you you were doing 41:34 something tonight when when we were 41:36 doing salon. You were do doing something 41:37 and you texted me an exciting thing. Is 41:39 that something you can share here? 41:41 >> Well, I don't think I can share it. I 41:44 I'm going to share this the story. 41:46 >> Share the story without the person. 41:47 Yeah, 41:48 >> I'm going to share the story without the 41:49 person. So, we have a member of our 41:51 joint community joins an extended 41:53 community just who just a pillar. She's 41:57 a she's a total rock star. somebody that 41:59 we we know and love and admire and are 42:02 so grateful for every day. And she was 42:05 one of these people who was forced to be 42:07 like a secret cyborg in her 42:10 multinational conglomerate multinational 42:13 international 42:14 >> big big 42:15 >> company where 42:16 >> they weren't yet fully adopting 42:19 generative AI. It wasn't being discussed 42:21 not in the even like the workg groupoup 42:23 meetings whatever. So she was like, I 42:26 need to obviously see what's going on 42:28 over here about all this um genai stuff. 42:31 So she 42:33 self-taught initially, got into 42:36 community, right? Became super user and 42:40 um what happened next? 42:42 >> What happened next? 42:43 >> Oh, what happened next was she enrolled 42:46 in the um she leads AI certified AI 42:50 educator program. 42:51 >> Oh. Oh, cool. Awesome. 42:54 got her certification 42:56 as an as an AI educator and her very 42:59 company said multinational conglomerate 43:02 tapped her on the shoulder and said, 43:04 "Oh, hey, everybody who works for this 43:07 company needs to know how to use 43:09 co-pilot. Can you create the 43:11 curriculum?" 43:12 >> Wow. 43:13 >> To teach the entire company how to use 43:15 AI. 43:17 >> Yeah. I it just I I think 2026 is is 43:22 just going to be a year where our 43:23 members just keep getting tapped on the 43:25 shoulder for cool opportunity after cool 43:27 opportunity. We talk about this all the 43:29 time when we talk about generous 43:31 leadership. 43:32 >> What generous leadership looks like in 43:34 the community is you share what you 43:37 know. You reach out to Vicki and you 43:38 say, "I want to do an LOL." Or you you 43:40 reach out to Ann and say, "I want to 43:42 come to a social Saturday and just share 43:44 what I know." It gives you practice 43:46 establishing yourself as an expert. It 43:48 it anchors your learning. But then what 43:51 happens is you start sharing like that 43:54 outside of the community and people in 43:57 your company find out, oh, 44:00 she's actually someone in the company 44:03 that knows about this and she just got 44:05 certified. Oh well, she should teach the 44:07 entire company. It's just it's amazing. 44:10 And the other thing it does is it helps 44:11 all the people within the community. It 44:13 will also help the people in your life. 44:16 Even the ones that are bitching about I 44:18 mean and you you and I deal with this on 44:21 a daily basis. The ones that [ __ ] like 44:23 and I could we not talk about AI 44:25 anymore. 44:28 Listen for dinner. Could we just not 44:30 with the AI? 44:32 Right. Even them. 44:35 Even them it will help because at some 44:37 point they're going to get laid off or 44:38 they're going to realize I got to figure 44:40 this stuff out. And who are they going 44:42 to come to? They're gonna come to you. 44:44 And then you can be rude and say, "Well, 44:45 I I offered that to you six months ago, 44:47 so now 44:48 >> before you could get it for free 44:51 to exactly." Oh, man. Oh, that's 44:55 awesome. Oh, that's so cool. That's so 44:57 cool. 44:57 >> Yeah. It's so good. It's so good. And 44:59 and and I think you know one of the 45:01 points that was made when we were in 45:02 this conversation with her about about 45:04 this new development was just that 45:07 >> like this is the kind of story that is 45:10 the rising tide that lifts all boats. 45:12 >> Yep. 45:13 >> Yeah. It is. 45:15 >> You can't script it. You know what I 45:17 mean? And you go, "Oh, all you need like 45:19 literally we used to talk about this a 45:22 lot more on the show. Just keep coming 45:23 back. Just keep showing up. Just keep 45:25 showing up. 45:26 >> Just keep showing up. keep showing up. 45:29 >> And it's like that kind of role. It's 45:33 not like she was asked to talk about, 45:35 you know, casual Friday training for 45:38 10,000 people, right? This is like AI 45:42 training for a huge organization. That 45:45 means she's going to have visibility 45:46 from the seauite looking at what she's 45:49 up to, right? Looking at the impact. Y 45:52 if you don't think that's going to, you 45:54 know, help her survive a layoff round or 45:57 two or get promoted or whatever it is, 45:59 right? 46:00 >> Exactly. 46:00 >> That's just being in the game. Just 46:02 being in the conversation is so is so 46:04 important. Um the other thing I think we 46:07 should tell the people, I don't know if 46:08 Oh, sorry. You had something else, Ann. 46:10 >> Well, I I have another fun fact for the 46:13 >> Oh, good. 46:14 >> really quickly. Um, so one of our 46:16 friends who had a booth in the virtual 46:19 expo, Rachel Zipsy, 46:21 >> Uhhuh. Oh, yeah. 46:22 >> She shared with us that um, you know, 46:25 because we're like, "Hey, you know, does 46:26 it did did it work? Did you 46:29 >> Yeah. Yeah. 46:30 >> So, they were getting So, so on the 46:32 Million Hearts Movement website, they 46:34 were getting 10 clicks a day. They got 46:36 350 clicks on the days around the event 46:40 where they were a a vendor 46:42 >> and oh I mean they're still in there 46:44 right now. So they got 350 clicks a day 46:47 each of those days. 30% of those 46:50 converted to some kind of engagement and 46:52 they have three new clients. 46:54 >> Wow. 46:56 AI festivist works. 46:59 >> It works people. AI festival for the 47:02 rest of us. 47:06 >> Um, the other thing the good people 47:08 should know is that tomorrow, tomorrow, 47:11 Wednesday, at 3 p.m. Pacific, 400 pm my 47:15 time, Mountain time, Ann and I are going 47:17 to be interviewing Kim Offford for the 47:19 AI Readiness Project podcast. So, Kim 47:22 Kim spoke tonight. Um, she's just she's 47:26 just in such a you know what's cool 47:27 about her is I feel like she's in 47:30 >> she's in such a place of power and 47:32 confidence. Like again there was a thing 47:34 last year where like everyone was like I 47:36 think I'm doing this AI thing. It was 47:38 like very like 47:40 >> and this year it's just like I just feel 47:42 like everyone's sort of centered 47:44 >> and they're like you know what I'm doing 47:46 it. She goes I did this other festival 47:48 and then I re realized Chicago needs a 47:50 film festival so I just started one. 47:53 It's like, 47:54 >> damn, it's so good. 47:56 >> Yeah. 47:56 >> So, anyway, so come come uh we'll talk 47:58 to Kim tomorrow. I'm really excited 48:00 about that. 48:00 >> I am, too. That's awesome. Yeah. Yeah. 48:04 She's a good one. 48:05 >> She's a really good one. Really good. 48:07 >> She's a gem. 48:09 >> She's a gem. 48:10 >> She's a gem. 48:11 >> Well, you're a gem. And you too, Ann. 48:14 >> Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. 48:16 >> You're a gem, too. 48:17 >> A gem, too, Kyle. 48:19 >> He's a gem. We're all gems. 48:21 >> We're all gems, man. Um, 48:22 >> it's so good to see you. 48:24 >> Yeah, good to see you, too. Good to see 48:26 all the nice people. And I I might see 48:28 you on the other side of the screen for 48:30 a couple minutes. 48:31 >> Feel free to feel free to hang out. I 48:33 So, so I you know that I've converted my 48:36 this AI learning lab thing into my part 48:39 of my daily practice now. So, like I do 48:40 work here, right? I just show up and do 48:42 work. 48:43 >> Okay. 48:43 >> Except tonight I'm like I don't want to. 48:46 I'm just not. So, so I'm glad you 48:49 >> goof off 48:50 >> because it it further it further uh 48:52 enabled my goofing off. 48:54 >> There we go. There we go. 48:57 >> All right. Cool. Great. 48:58 >> All right, everybody. 48:59 >> Thanks. 49:02 >> Oh, that's so awesome. That's so 49:03 awesome. Yeah, that was that was that 49:05 was really fun tonight. Um Okay. What 49:08 were we talking about? 49:10 We were talking about 49:14 stuff on Xh. 49:19 Oh, we talked about possible 49:21 emergent.sh. I went and looked at it. 49:23 You've got to pay for it to play with 49:24 it. So, I think 49:27 so. 49:29 Love your deep dive and video of your 49:32 1%. Very courageous. Oh, thank you very 49:35 much. I appreciate that. Producer 49:36 Brandon, what's up? There is a limited 49:39 free tier uh similar to lovable where 49:42 you do get free 10 10 free prompts a day 49:44 if you were 49:44 >> Oh, I see. All right. 49:47 >> So, app.emergent.sh. 49:51 Well, I'm going to do the same thing I 49:52 always do. 49:55 >> Share the wrong tab. 49:57 >> Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I'm going to do the 49:59 same thing I always do, which is I'm 50:01 going to make an Asteroids clone. We'll 50:02 see if it's any good. I will tell you 50:04 right now. It's using claw 4.5 sonnet, 50:07 which that's probably we should use 50:09 opus. 50:11 Although opus is pro I bet I'm not 50:13 allowed to use opus. We we'll find out. 50:15 Um I want you to make me This is 50:19 emergent.sh. 50:21 I want you to make me 50:24 a 50:26 an authentic 50:30 Asteroids 50:32 clone 50:34 video game 50:38 complete with 50:41 70s 50:44 phosphorus. 50:46 phosphorus 50:50 70s phosphorus uh CRT 50:54 stylings 50:57 and authentic 51:01 uh sounds 51:05 physics 51:07 and awesome 51:13 game play. I assume this is going to do 51:16 this pretty good 51:18 because when I did this with Claude Opus 51:21 when it first came out, it was pretty 51:23 damn good. Let's see if I can use it. 51:25 Setting up safe environment, 51:27 initializing cloud, provisioning 51:30 resources, 51:33 configuring environment, starting the 51:35 agent. By the way, this is 51:40 what I'm doing right now is sort of play 51:43 first and then it's sort of avoid your 51:48 daily practice. 51:52 So, I am I am both. Look, I'm not just a 51:55 binary human being. It's not one or the 51:58 other with me. I can be having fun and 52:01 avoid 52:03 doing my daily practice. Um, we are 52:06 having a tight tonight show vibe 52:08 tonight. 52:14 Oh man. 52:17 All right. Let's see. Tik Tok pin. I got 52:21 that. 52:27 All right. What's What's this doing? App 52:29 preview processing. Next step. 52:35 Your thought has been logged. Can I see? 52:40 I mean, actually, one of the things I 52:42 like about this is that it's 52:46 um it doesn't have a lot of the 52:50 like I can't look at it writing code, 52:54 which if I'm if I'm a coder is going to 52:57 piss me off. But as someone who doesn't 52:58 really care as much about code and 53:02 looking at it, I don't mind not having 53:05 code. 53:08 H 53:10 fascinating 53:14 created five files. What did it create? 53:18 GameJS, sound engine.JS, ship.js, 53:22 Asteroid.js, 53:23 and mock.js. 53:27 There's some code. 53:32 If you're new here and you haven't 53:34 watched a computer write code for you, 53:37 look, computer wrote code for me. And 53:41 then you might the next next logical 53:43 question might be, hey, what code is 53:45 that, Kyle? 53:47 It's a great question there, Bob. Uh, I 53:52 don't know. 54:00 JS usually stands for JavaScript. Oh 54:02 yeah, that what Brandon said. 54:06 The whole point is it doesn't matter. 54:09 Are you using the $25 plan or the $200 54:11 plan? I'm using the free plan right now. 54:15 I think it inferred it and ran with it. 54:17 What's going on? Is this Is this still 54:19 going or did I run out of credits? It's 54:21 possible I ran out of credits. No, it's 54:23 still going. Building something 54:25 incredible. 54:28 You know what's actually really funny 54:29 about this? Created five files. Created 54:32 five more files. 54:34 Um, 54:36 here we go. Here's asteroids. 54:38 Press space to start. Okay, here we go. 54:42 Let's go. Open in new tab. 54:46 Oh, that's pretty good. I like the I 54:48 like the graphics here. Wait. Oh, got to 54:50 share that tab. Okay. Arrow keys to 54:53 move. Space to fire. 54:56 Down or S for hyperspace. 55:00 This looks good. 55:17 No. No UFO. 55:30 Ah. Oh, that was good. You see this 55:33 people? Okay. So, there's no there's no 55:35 flames coming out of the ass end of the 55:37 ship. The firing's too fast. 55:50 Damn it. 55:59 Lovable better control. 56:02 Okay. All right. So, let's go back. 56:06 Let's go back. I am now I am now 56:09 successfully fully committed to not 56:12 doing my practice tonight. 56:16 Okay, let's see. Um, space ship 56:20 has no thrust fire. There are no UFOs. 56:29 The 56:32 the firing repeat rate 56:37 is a little fast. 56:43 And 56:45 it could use a little 56:49 extra 56:52 visual 56:55 magic. Okay, beautiful. Let's do that. 56:59 Hang on. I got to do physical dexterity 57:01 test on Tik Tok. 57:06 Better prompts, Kyle. Well, listen. Part 57:09 of So, here's the thing. Emma, Mr. Mr. 57:13 AI creating. Here's the deal, Mr. AI 57:15 Creating. My job is not to be great at 57:19 writing prompts. Here's what I've 57:20 learned about myself in this channel. My 57:23 job is to do the the the low-level [ __ ] 57:28 prompting that most people are going to 57:30 do. Like, one of the ways we can figure 57:33 out if tools are getting better is if I 57:36 give it a shitty prompt, can it figure 57:39 some stuff out from that shitty prompt? 57:42 I have in here gone off and done highly 57:45 structured prompts and things like that. 57:47 You can absolutely do that and you'll 57:48 get better results. But a that takes a 57:52 while and b 57:54 I I like seeing if like that was a fully 57:57 functional Asteroids game with a shitty 57:59 prompt and now we should get like a 58:01 decent 2.0 with a follow-on shitty 58:04 prompt. Oh, it's Gareth. 58:07 That's Gareth trolling me. [ __ ] 58:09 Gareth. 58:13 That's the best. Oh my god. All right. 58:17 So, if it can add an irid iridescent 58:20 bubble in the background that floats 58:22 slowly and bumps against the edges. Oh, 58:24 see if it can add. Oh, I'm sure it can. 58:28 We'll just We'll just keep doing things 58:30 here until until um 58:34 we'll just keep doing things here until 58:36 we run out of credits, which is probably 58:37 going to be like one more prompt from 58:39 here. 58:40 because I'm using I'm I'm using uh Opus 58:43 instead of Sonnet 58:46 Gravity Jump. I tried the asteroid thing 58:48 back in December and it didn't work for 58:49 me. Yeah, the the the 58:52 in the past six months 58:58 in the past six months all of the 59:00 technology companies except Meta, 59:04 I mean what is Meta doing? They lost Yan 59:06 Lun. Did did you hear why they lost Yan 59:09 Lun? 59:11 He's the guy that [ __ ] he basically, 59:14 you know, is the is one of the 59:16 godfathers of why any of this technology 59:20 [ __ ] exists. 59:22 And they and they hired a 22year-old 59:24 engineer for $200 million a year. And 59:27 they said to Yan Lun, "You report to him 59:30 now. 59:37 Yan was like, "Yeah, 59:40 no, I'm good. Peace out." 59:47 Meta release Sam audio. Okay, cool. 59:50 That's worth looking at. I also think 59:51 they're going to retire Llama. I think I 59:54 think they just don't have a large 59:55 language model, which is wild. 59:58 Lovable, better for controlled front-end 1:00:00 work. 1:00:02 Is this still going? Yeah, it's still 1:00:04 doing its thing. 1:00:07 Oh. Oh, look what this did. 1:00:10 This is cool. 1:00:17 Look what it says. The the Let me check 1:00:19 the front end logs and take a new 1:00:21 screenshot. So, it's 1:00:25 I'll fix those issues. It's finding bugs 1:00:29 and it's taking screenshots of of itself 1:00:32 playing the game. 1:00:34 That's pretty slick. I haven't I haven't 1:00:36 seen a vibe coding tool do that on its 1:00:38 own. Although I I bet uh Gen Spark and 1:00:42 Manis probably do that, but I haven't 1:00:45 seen like a standalone vibe coding tool 1:00:47 like this do that. That's pretty slick. 1:00:55 Well, two 200 million. Well, nah. Yeah, 1:00:58 they No, it was that 22 year old got a 1:01:01 bonus of 200 million and then I think 1:01:04 it's a hundred million dollar a year 1:01:05 salary 1:01:07 at 22. 1:01:13 Listen, I'm sure he's very smart. I'm 1:01:16 sure he's very smart. You know what you 1:01:19 could do with $200 million? 1:01:24 You could you could invest 190 million 1:01:28 on a startup 1:01:30 and go spend $10 million [ __ ] around 1:01:32 for a year. 1:01:38 Oh my god. Anti-gravity does that, Kyle? 1:01:41 Oh, cool. I haven't I I I Here's my 1:01:44 problem with anti-gravity. I wanted to 1:01:47 change the background color and I made 1:01:50 the mistake of going to the settings 1:01:53 tab. And when I saw that there were 40 1:01:57 or 50 pages of settings, 1:02:01 I was like, I'm good. I don't I that's 1:02:04 that's a whole other level of vibe 1:02:07 coding than I'm willing to to to play 1:02:11 with. Okay, let's see. Excellent. The 1:02:14 game is working great now. I can see 1:02:16 score increasing 1:02:18 asteroid splitting 1:02:21 beautiful phosphor trails medium 1:02:23 asteroids enhanced CRT effects. 1:02:28 Okay. Is it done? Agent is waiting. Oh, 1:02:32 is it waiting for me? 1:02:37 Visible. Okay. This is a front end only 1:02:40 asteroids clone using mock data for high 1:02:42 scores. I've tested the best of my 1:02:46 capabilities. Would you like to proceed 1:02:48 with the back-end development of a 1:02:49 persistent high score to MongoDB? 1:02:54 Uh, I'm just going to say um 1:02:57 um local 1:03:01 um temp scoring 1:03:04 is fine. 1:03:08 I just want to play 1:03:12 1.67. 67 free credit remaining. I think 1:03:15 I'm done. 1:03:20 Emergent offers deeper agent-driven full 1:03:23 stack automation with multi-agent 1:03:25 orchestration for speed. Good lord. 1:03:29 Emergent offers deeper. Wait, put that 1:03:32 back up, Brandon. Deeper. 1:03:35 Okay, deeper is a word we understand. 1:03:38 Agent driven. Nobody knows what that 1:03:41 means. Full stack. Nobody knows what 1:03:44 that means. Automation. One person knows 1:03:46 what that means. With multi- aent 1:03:48 orchestration 1:03:50 for speed. 1:03:53 Good lord. 1:03:57 Deploy. Wait. Go play. Go. Press play to 1:04:01 start. Wait. Preview. Preview. 1:04:06 Okay. Let's go out. 1:04:09 All right. Let's see if this is better. 1:04:19 Ah. Oh, look. It's got a CRT uh scan 1:04:23 line going down it. That's pretty cool. 1:04:31 >> Ah, jerk. 1:04:38 >> So, I I know what most of those words 1:04:40 mean. 1:04:42 I know what the words mean, but it's 1:04:44 just it's just like nonsensical word 1:04:47 soup. 1:04:48 >> Yeah. Well, I I think what get out is it 1:04:52 puts this in the same classification of 1:04:54 wind surf or the anti-gravities opposed 1:04:58 to lovable, which is more of a 1:05:01 >> front end. You're just making something 1:05:03 pretty that is getting more and more 1:05:05 capable of being behind the scenes 1:05:08 stronger. like they have payments now, 1:05:09 they have lovable cloud. This does all 1:05:12 that. So, if you need a bunch of smart 1:05:15 agents that are working together but 1:05:16 don't want to go through 50 pages worth 1:05:18 of settings in anti-gravity, this is 1:05:20 probably your jam. 1:05:22 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If this is that 1:05:24 powerful and it's this this is in the 1:05:26 neighborhood of love easy. 1:05:29 Um, 1:05:33 but all I want to do is play video 1:05:34 games. So 1:05:37 from my childhood. 1:05:45 Ah. Oh, that was good. Wait, where am I? 1:05:48 [ __ ] 1:05:53 Damn it. 1:06:13 I'm just 1:06:15 one of the things that's given me great 1:06:17 joy right now is I I am no longer alive. 1:06:21 I'm just playing I'm just playing 1:06:23 Asteroids. 1:06:29 Don't tell Liz. Don't tell Liz. I will I 1:06:32 will confess on Thursday at the at the 1:06:35 practice lab that I was I was a bad boy 1:06:38 and didn't didn't do my practice on what 1:06:41 is tonight? Tuesday night. 1:06:46 Oh my god. All right, that was good. 1:06:50 Um there you go. Uh I would say that 1:06:54 emergent is probably worth experimenting 1:06:56 with. There's my There's my uh my two 1:07:00 cents. 1:07:03 None of those types of games is astray 1:07:05 like 1:07:07 asteroids come out after asteroids. 1:07:09 Wait, none of those games 1:07:12 it's act it's actually like asteroids 1:07:14 come out after asteroids. Oh, I'm 1:07:16 telling Liz. 1:07:19 Oh, man. You want to talk about AI life 1:07:21 hacks tomorrow? 1:07:22 >> Sure. Uh we're having a whole uh 1:07:25 conversation in the comments about a 1:07:29 game that is similar in nature where 1:07:31 it's asteroids but there's two ships and 1:07:34 we were just trying to identify those in 1:07:35 the comments. But 1:07:37 >> oh 1:07:37 >> tomorrow 1:07:39 we have AI life hacks and AI life hacks 1:07:42 is awesome. We've got a bunch of new 1:07:43 people coming with a bunch of new hacks 1:07:45 presuming but basically this is the 1:07:47 opportunity to learn how to use AI in 1:07:50 your everyday life. For example, 1:07:53 our dryer uh [ __ ] the bed and it says, 1:07:56 "Okay, we're done. It's not going to 1:07:58 work anymore." And we thought, "Okay, 1:08:00 we'll just get it fixed." And the drier 1:08:02 tech Well, first I asked Chet PT. I'm 1:08:04 like, "So, how do I fix this?" And says, 1:08:06 "You're going to need to call a 1:08:07 technician." So, I called a technician. 1:08:11 And uh they came out and they said, "Oh, 1:08:12 yeah. This is uh this is not looking 1:08:15 good." So, now we have a choice. Do we 1:08:17 put good money after bad to fix an old 1:08:20 appliance or do we go out and buy a new 1:08:23 one? And if we buy a new one, 1:08:25 >> you know, you've got a hundred different 1:08:26 options. So, while this live has been 1:08:28 going on, I've had an agent in chat GPT 1:08:33 in the background doing product research 1:08:35 on washers and dryers and repair versus 1:08:38 replace. And so after we get off the 1:08:40 live and after I get the dog some 1:08:42 cheese, we're gonna take a look at that 1:08:45 and figure out what our next steps are 1:08:47 going to be. So that 1:08:49 >> come tomorrow and join us. 1:08:51 >> That's awesome. Beautiful. That's a 1:08:53 great one. I actually I had a it was it 1:08:56 was our washer that broke. 1:09:00 Like one of the hoses broke, but then 1:09:02 some other thing broke. 1:09:05 And it's like a really old whirlpool. 1:09:07 like really old. 1:09:10 And then chat GPT told me you're you're 1:09:12 missing this part or this part's broken. 1:09:16 And then 1:09:18 gave me the part number. 1:09:21 I think I actually searched for 1:09:25 an appliance repair store. 1:09:28 I called them. They had the part. I went 1:09:31 down, bought the part. The guy goes, 1:09:33 "Oh, you got that whirlpool? That'll 1:09:35 last forever. 1:09:37 He goes, "That's good. They don't make 1:09:38 them like that anymore." 1:09:42 And I fixed the part and I fixed the the 1:09:44 washer. I felt very manly. It was Chad 1:09:47 GPT. 1:09:49 Helps me feel Listen, listen. Are you 1:09:53 feeling a little non-manly in your life? 1:09:57 Haven't fixed a washer lately? Try Chat 1:10:00 GPT. 1:10:03 It'll seem like you paid attention to 1:10:05 your stepdad when you were a kid. 1:10:10 Oh, good lord. All right, good people. 1:10:13 I'm get out of here. Oh, you want to 1:10:15 see? No, it doesn't. It's not all that 1:10:16 interesting to look at. I'll show you 1:10:19 tomorrow when I actually get back to my 1:10:21 practice. 1:10:22 I'll show you what I did. But, you know, 1:10:25 in notion, I've been working on setting 1:10:26 up my project database, right? And then 1:10:29 my project to-dos. And then I've had 1:10:31 this idea. I've got this idea stuck in 1:10:34 my head. And and one of the things with 1:10:36 me and ideas is most of the times ideas 1:10:39 come in, they get really bright and then 1:10:41 they burn out and they go away. 1:10:43 Occasionally there's an idea that comes 1:10:45 in my head, it burns bright and it just 1:10:47 keeps burning. And so one of those is 1:10:51 creating a project management tool that 1:10:55 is based on 1:10:57 the people of the project rather than 1:11:00 the tasks of the project. 1:11:03 That what hit me was every task of a 1:11:06 project for the most part 1:11:09 you're doing because some person that is 1:11:11 critical to that project needs 1:11:14 something. 1:11:15 And I thought, what if I have a rel like 1:11:17 what if I build a thing that reminds me 1:11:21 that in order for that project to be 1:11:23 successful, producer Brandon needs to 1:11:25 have eh rather than just you need to do 1:11:28 eh and give it to producer Brandon like 1:11:31 make it about producer Brandon. So 1:11:32 that's my idea. 1:11:34 So today I went into notion. 1:11:37 I did two things. I downloaded it to my 1:11:40 work computer which I hadn't done and 1:11:43 sure enough I logged in and it logged 1:11:46 into my account and everything was 1:11:48 there. So that was that was a victory. 1:11:50 And then I said to Harry, my AI 1:11:52 assistant in notion, I said, I've got 1:11:55 this idea for a people 1:11:59 a people centric thing. And I said, what 1:12:01 do you recommend from a database 1:12:03 standpoint I should set up because I 1:12:05 wanted people, but I also wanted to be 1:12:07 able to associate those people to a 1:12:09 project. And so it actually set up two 1:12:12 additional databases, a people database 1:12:15 and then the people project database 1:12:18 where you actually assign a person and 1:12:20 connect them to a project. And I and 1:12:23 there's a good reason why they're 1:12:25 separate because you might have one 1:12:26 person in the person database that's 1:12:28 assigned to three different product 1:12:30 projects. And so that database schema is 1:12:33 set up now and I added a bunch of people 1:12:35 to it and it it worked and they've all 1:12:36 got labels and I'm really excited about 1:12:38 it. So, 1:12:40 this is the old Kyle I remember 1:12:42 pre-practice. 1:12:44 You need to screw a screw practice day 1:12:46 every week. That's not a bad idea. 1:12:50 You're you're 1% of the way to 1:12:52 Salesforce. I'll tell you what, if I'm 1:12:54 any percentage of the way to Salesforce, 1:12:56 I'm going to flush it down the toilet. 1:12:58 That is the biggest piece of garbage 1:12:59 software I've ever used. 1:13:05 All right. Um, Reggie want to do an 1:13:08 emerging LOL. There you go. Vickiy's 1:13:11 Vickiy's knocking down those LOL's. 1:13:13 They're coming hot and heavy now. You 1:13:14 got to calm. Everybody get ready to 1:13:16 learn. There's some There's some 1:13:18 learning coming. All right. Um, 1:13:21 by the way, the banana banana is back in 1:13:24 nano banana. Good. I some corporate 1:13:27 weenie got rid of the banana. 1:13:30 Um, beautiful. All right, you guys are 1:13:33 working out. LOL's. 1:13:35 I want to see that. Kyle, you want to 1:13:36 see what me to say? Screw screw having 1:13:39 this be a practice one day a week. We 1:13:41 can do that. 1:13:43 Oh, I like this. Tell me more. I have a 1:13:46 bunch of Kyle Reggie, I watched you on 1:13:49 YouTube and it was helpful. Thanks for 1:13:51 sharing that. 1:13:53 Cheat day. All right, I think we might 1:13:56 have a cheat day. 1:14:00 The question is, do we schedule the 1:14:02 cheat day or do I just give into the 1:14:05 fear on a cheat day? And I only get one 1:14:08 a week. So, I could blow it on Monday or 1:14:11 I could save it for Friday. 1:14:13 If I'm having a particularly intentional 1:14:15 week, maybe I don't do a cheat day the 1:14:18 whole week. I don't know.
