0:14 hello hello Silver Fox what's happening 0:17 hey be not 0:19 afraid that was weird having a night 0:21 [Laughter] 0:24 off but it was fun it was 0:29 good 0:31 all 0:32 right fantastic Bob tell them what 0:35 they've won you won a new car let's see 0:38 do I have dog hair all over me not too 0:43 bad okay let's see got my 0:46 fluids that one's almost gone I was 0:49 doing a little Sim racing before I 0:50 hopped on it was Turkey Day Dr Jay 0:54 what's happening I had a lovely 0:57 Thanksgiving my friend Steve and his 0:59 wife Lena came 1:01 over they're vegetarians so we uh we 1:04 delayed our turkey for the weekend and 1:07 we had 1:09 uh what do we 1:11 have 1:13 pen and uh eggplant parm 1:17 salad and dessert pies and 1:23 [ __ ] it was tasty it was taste taste 1:26 taste taste 1:28 tasty all right what's been going on 1:30 it's uh thank goodness the open AI 1:34 nonsense has been quiet for like 2 days 1:37 although David Shapiro put out a video 1:41 that kind of shed some light on on uh 1:46 maybe some of the stuff that happened 1:49 with open 1:50 AI making big breakthroughs in 1:53 AGI which is cuckoo it's just 1:57 cuckoo basically David Shapiro 2:01 the the the uh what what he basically 2:04 uncovered is is some version of they've 2:07 cracked all of cry 2:11 cryptography and everything 2:14 else they got they got it to do math 2:17 100% correct which even though it's a 2:20 really simple they did it at a grade 2:22 school level the fact that it did it 2:23 100% correct is a huge deal because it 2:26 basically means 2:28 that uh 2:30 the AI is 2:33 reasoning and then they talked about 2:34 this thing called 2:36 qar and 2:38 qar is the 2:53 model let's 2:59 see 3:06 all right let's see welcome everybody 3:09 welcome welcome welcome we're just 3:10 getting started here we're GNA you can 3:12 make money with we're going to do that 3:15 your computer what about my 3:17 computer is it is it too too low too 3:21 high let's see no this has got to be 3:25 lower what about my computer I still 3:28 don't understand what qar is can you 3:30 explain again um I will I will do my 3:34 best 3:36 yes um it's pretty 3:40 cool um and and uh to be 3:45 clear I don't understand qar I had chat 3:49 GPT explain it to me and then I watched 3:51 David Shapiro and he further explained 3:53 it so I understand it like I can talk 3:57 about what it is conceptually and I 3:59 understand why why it's a big deal and 4:01 why it works let me in fact while while 4:03 we're do oh that's beautiful whoever did 4:06 that was that oh that was forever hooked 4:08 that was very cool you also reached 4:10 level 27 hey Sher bear what's 4:12 happening 4:14 um got me some hearts frumple sent me a 4:17 heart sherbear sent me a heart that's so 4:19 sweet y'all are 4:21 awesome um all right let me try 4:23 something 4:25 here let me go 4:29 to 4:37 David chop 4:44 hero 4:46 dinner it's more than just a your 4:49 regulars Turtles O level 27 what is that 4:52 he's almost at level 33 I don't I don't 4:54 know what happens at level 33 but I know 4:55 it's good present is this where I 4:57 learned the secret handshake no forever 4:59 hooked it's level 3 three 5:01 sorry this is just like the uh 5:03 Freemasons buddy lot of 5:07 Secrets pause hang 5:09 on there was that one then there was 5:13 that one this one 5:17 okay all right so we got 5:21 that that we'll talk 5:25 about and then we'll go qar here Q 5:46 star 5:54 grid I'll be right there I'll be right 5:56 there I really 5:58 will 6:13 open AI I know I'm not showing you my 6:17 screen right now it's okay it's going to 6:19 be okay people it's going to be all 6:20 right I'll be there I promise it's going 6:23 to be so good if I can just find this 6:25 one 6:26 graphic which I can't find uh H why not 6:31 there it is okay so we got that we got 6:34 that okay I can explain it now beautiful 6:36 digital Gods thank you for the 6:39 heres happy Friday night is it Friday 6:41 night yes it it was Black Friday did you 6:44 go out and shop did you go do your 6:45 American duty and spend all your money 6:47 that you didn't have I hope you ran up 6:49 your credit cards our economy needs it 6:51 man ask GPT to demonstrate 6:55 Q yeah actually I mean you probably 6:58 could are 7:00 we oh Silver Fox are we here tonight or 7:03 Mighty networks 7:05 um I think we should go to Mighty 7:08 networks just 7:10 because um we should get in the habit of 7:12 it is my 7:15 thought so I will go to Mighty networks 7:17 right now so the 7:19 Irregulars just hop on over to the chat 7:23 in Mighty 7:25 networks not not the share cool 7:28 things 7:31 although if you want to share cool 7:32 things share them and share cool things 7:34 all right so I'm over on Mighty networks 7:36 for the mods that are 7:38 here and then for those of you that are 7:41 also here we'll talk about that so 7:42 welcome everybody my name is Kyle 7:44 Shannon this is the AI learning lab uh 7:47 if you're new here you're probably like 7:49 shouldn't he have prepared and been 7:50 ready for all this before he started oh 7:52 no you don't understand the the nickname 7:55 of this channel is Chad add and that's 7:57 how we like to roll here we we uh we we 7:59 make it up as we 8:01 go um I like talking about this 8:04 generative AI stuff doing what I can to 8:08 educate and inspire people to get 8:11 curious about this 8:17 stuff all 8:20 right there we 8:22 go and if you have questions about AI 8:25 pop them in the comments below I'm happy 8:28 to demo things 8:30 answer questions um show off cool new 8:33 [ __ ] I've found um my latest two videos 8:37 on my channel are a a new feature from 8:41 hey Jen called 8:42 avatars which are [ __ ] insane you 8:46 upload like a 2 to three minute video of 8:49 yourself and then you it turns that into 8:52 an 8:53 avatar like complete like with me I talk 8:55 with my hands a lot so there's a lot of 8:58 this going on so it synthesizes all of 9:00 that and then you just type in words and 9:03 it makes it sound like you and it makes 9:04 it look like you and like all my little 9:06 wrinkly forehead [ __ ] when I'm 9:09 having talks are there so I can show you 9:11 that stuff as 9:13 well 9:15 um but yeah and we can talk about Q I 9:20 mean sorry qar Q is a whole different 9:23 thing qar is different than than that 9:27 other stuff um 9:30 qar is a it's basically an 9:35 evolved 9:38 um process from game uh AI 9:45 game machine learning G machine learning 9:48 for gaming uh where the AI is sort of 9:51 learning its path basically so it's a 9:53 modified version of that but I'll I'll 9:55 I'll give you some history on it um 9:59 maybe I should start with 10:02 that it seems a little heavy but but 10:06 screw it okay so last Friday a week ago 10:12 today holy [ __ ] it's like a year 10:15 happened a year ago today the board of 10:18 open AI fired Sam Altman if you were not 10:21 paying attention if you somehow missed 10:23 that um if you're on this channel I 10:25 assume you're somewhat into Ai and if 10:27 you missed that that that was a biggie 10:29 CH bear thank you so much I love that 10:31 one 10:33 um so they fired Sam Alman they demoted 10:37 Greg Brockman from chairman to just 10:40 employee and then he quit they appointed 10:44 Mira moradi the 10:46 CTO uh interim 10:49 CEO 10:51 um nobody knew why there were all sorts 10:54 of rumors it was Ilia Ilia wanted to 10:57 move slower Sam wanted to move faster 10:59 they gotten a 11:01 tiff then Saturday it looked like they 11:04 were trying to hire Sam back and then 11:07 the employees were not none too happy 11:10 with what was going 11:11 on and then Saturday night Saturday 11:15 night they said 11:18 uh they had hired uh EMT 11:22 Shear um who who was a who who uh oh 11:26 [ __ ] where the hell was he oh he was at 11:28 twitch he was the CEO of 11:31 twitch and he's sort of famous for 11:34 saying he wanted to slow AI down so that 11:37 sort of fueled more of the rumors that 11:38 it was the fast the fast people versus 11:41 the slow people then on 11:43 Sunday there were more rumors that they 11:46 were going to bring Sam 11:48 back and uh 11:51 then and then those talks fell apart 11:54 then uh then Monday Microsoft said good 11:59 news we've hired Sam and Greg and the 12:01 top three researchers from open 12:05 AI then 97 or 98% of the open AI 12:09 employees said we're going to 12:13 quit and follow Sam wherever he goes if 12:16 you don't if the board doesn't resign 12:19 and then Tuesday and then they started 12:21 negotiating on Monday and then they it 12:23 seems like they they got to a a a an 12:26 agreement in principle on Tuesday 12:30 um that they're going to work it out and 12:36 uh Larry Summers and the guy that used 12:39 to run the hell did he 12:43 run oh I forget I don't know one of the 12:46 big tech companies are going to be on 12:48 the board along with Adam D'Angelo which 12:51 which there was rumors that Adam Adam 12:53 D'Angelo was the only former board 12:56 member to survive the shakeup basically 12:59 there were rumors that he was the bad 13:00 guy I guess not Sam Alman put out a 13:04 thing saying he and Adam D'Angelo had 13:06 Thanksgiving dinner together yesterday 13:09 so okay so that was the 13:13 drama and what everyone was trying to 13:16 figure out was what why why the urgency 13:20 like what happened what happened and so 13:22 there were rumors that they internally 13:25 achieved AGI at open AI now if you know 13:29 what AGI is it stands for artificial 13:32 general intelligence it's the point at 13:34 which and it's it's open ai's whole 13:36 mission is to achieve 13:39 AGI and the the way the open AI is 13:43 structured is that it's a nonprofit that 13:47 controls a what's called a capped 13:51 for-profit that they invented which 13:53 basically is you can invest in it and 13:56 you can make money back but after a 13:58 certain point all of that money has to 13:59 go back to the to the nonprofit which is 14:02 going to be funneled to 14:04 humanity and so that's that's why this 14:07 weird sort of non- busy board had so 14:09 much power and and and so so they didn't 14:13 know was it egos was it personal [ __ ] 14:18 was it did they achieve 14:20 AGI so it's since come out Reuters has 14:23 has reported on and the information uh 14:27 out of silicon Val reported on there was 14:31 a letter sent from staff to the 14:34 board that said that they had made a big 14:37 breakthrough using this thing called 14:40 qar um and what it what it appears to be 14:44 is that qar from what I can gather is 14:48 not the large language model it kind of 14:50 sits on top of it you got your large 14:52 language model down here and qar is the 14:54 thing kind of um doing reinforcement 14:57 learning for the large language model 14:59 and so so Q qar kind of works like 15:03 this 15:05 great hang on let me get this all all 15:08 right so so you got this here 15:12 thing all right and again this is I have 15:16 a degree in [ __ ] acting people so if 15:19 you're expecting a mathematician here 15:20 back off um so in this Center you have 15:25 your beginning State and like up here 15:28 you have your go 15:29 right you're you're trying to get from 15:30 here to 15:32 here and you have your beginning State 15:35 you know what your goal is and so so you 15:37 have the The Little Numbers here it's Q 15:40 which stands for I think it's 15:42 quality then you have S1 A1 State one 15:48 action one so given this 15:52 state the the large language model can 15:55 take some amount of actions right it 15:57 predicts okay 15:59 given this state and this goal here are 16:01 the three actions I could take and it 16:03 takes one of those actions and then what 16:06 this thing does what what qar does is it 16:11 basically gives it a score does it did 16:14 it go up or did it go down and it it 16:17 actually kind of reminds me of um if if 16:20 you if you've ever learned anything 16:21 about card counting in blackjack you 16:24 know the thing where it's like if 16:25 there's face cards like a 10 or face 16:28 cards at it's a plus one and if there's 16:30 these cards it's a neutral and if it's 16:32 these cards it's a minus one and and 16:34 they're sort of keeping track of you 16:36 know is is the uh is the deck stacked 16:39 basically so it's kind of like that so 16:42 so it takes an action and then this 16:43 thing says hey was that action you know 16:45 good or bad and if it was good it gives 16:47 it a plus number if it was bad it gives 16:49 it a minus number and then it puts it 16:51 into a new state which is state two and 16:54 then given state two it's got some other 16:56 actions it can take and it takes that 16:58 action and then it gets a a score and 16:59 then it goes to state three and then it 17:00 goes to State four and this kind of 17:02 looks like a star so I think that's why 17:03 it's called qar This is based on some 17:06 math called 17:07 AAR um and then the David Shapiro thing 17:11 so there's there's two two videos from 17:14 David Shapiro um the first one is what 17:17 is qar speculation on how open AI stuff 17:21 works um but but basically okay so so 17:25 let's say the beginning state is this 17:28 lower left hand corner here's your 17:30 starting point and then the upper right 17:33 hand corner is this little Green Dot and 17:34 you're trying to get to that upper right 17:36 hand corner right and so given this 17:38 state you can take some amount of 17:40 actions and it takes an action and then 17:42 it gets scored and then it takes another 17:44 action and so it's basically taking the 17:46 highest probability action until it hits 17:49 a block and around here it realizes oh 17:52 I'm not going to be able to go straight 17:54 to that thing so I'm going to try some 17:56 other actions and based on its score it 17:59 starts diverting around this obstacle 18:01 and then ultimately gets to the goal so 18:05 so it's basically learning in real time 18:08 and it's prompting itself in real time 18:10 to take a series of actions to get to 18:13 that 18:14 goal open AI defines AGI as um an 18:20 autonomous 18:21 system right so this is you don't have 18:24 to prompt this it's prompting itself and 18:27 then it's scoring it self based on you 18:30 know is it getting closer or farther 18:32 away from the goal and it basically just 18:35 keeps doing it until it gets there so 18:37 it's an autonomous system um that 18:41 surpasses 18:43 humans and how do they put it at most 18:46 economically valuable tasks or work or 18:50 something like that um so that's what 18:53 qar is and so apparently they put they 18:56 they Ed whatever version of this that 18:59 they came up with on a small model with 19:03 very low-level math like grade school 19:07 math historically they've been able to 19:09 get large language models they've 19:11 improved them with fine tuning they've 19:13 gotten them to 70% or 80% I think 19:16 sometimes even 90% but this thing 19:18 apparently got it to 19:20 100% And so once you're at 100% on math 19:24 problems the thing is doing reasoning 19:26 effectively and that's kind of what 19:28 Shapiro talks about here and and the uh 19:32 the video that I would recommend you go 19:34 watch I I would recommend both of these 19:36 actually so so David Shapiro his his 19:41 uh his YouTube channel is Dave shap d a 19:45 s ha A P um watch the video on what is Q 19:49 and then watch the video on Q or uh qar 19:54 qar is bigger than you think um possibly 19:57 much bigger and and then he says AGI is 20:00 definitely near David Shapiro is also 20:02 the guy that says um let's see where is 20:12 it I don't have it 20:19 here um he did a video 18 months ago 20:23 called AGI in 18 months and then he did 20:25 a follow-up month video he did a 20:28 follow-up video about a month ago called 20:30 AGI in 12 months so he he is absolutely 20:33 of the mind that we're going to hit AGI 20:36 he's written like who is that guy he's 20:38 written five books on AGI he's got a big 20:41 cognitive architecture open- source 20:43 project right now to build an open- 20:45 Source uh cognitive architecture for AGI 20:49 using whatever Technologies come out um 20:52 so he knows a [ __ ] so those two those 20:54 two videos bigger than you think and 20:56 what is Q are are worth you watching if 20:59 you want to understand you know what 21:02 could have possibly happened that 21:04 freaked everyone out enough that they 21:06 fired Sam mman knowing that it would be 21:08 a [ __ ] 21:09 show 21:11 so crazy CRA isn't it cza isn't it so 21:16 cza thank you Donald Alman it's so 21:20 CA C that's so 21:23 cra that's 21:26 CRA did so the computers are smart 21:30 that's so 21:31 crazy that's crazy kle hey K do do do 21:37 you think do you think they have 21:38 feelings 21:44 KY all right thank you very much 21:47 ticktock hat Hey Ron how are you good to 21:49 see you 21:53 sir Sam Alman said in his New York Times 21:57 interview that AGI is a dumb name for it 21:59 yeah so is artificial 22:02 intelligence but what are you going to 22:04 do 22:07 um what do you think happened I don't 22:10 know I'm just listen this this channel 22:14 this channel for the past week became 22:16 chat 22:17 TMZ um the only thing I'm doing at this 22:20 point is speculating um although it does 22:23 seem like there's there's actual 22:25 reporting that said that some sort of 22:28 letter was sent to to the open AI 22:31 board that said something about making 22:34 some sort of [ __ ] progress and then 22:36 Sam Alman got fired so there there is a 22:39 reported SE chain of 22:41 events um but there are enough 22:46 um there are enough plausible conspiracy 22:49 theories that that it's just at this 22:51 point I don't know 22:54 um the the why 22:57 the why this is a big deal if you go 23:00 look at open ai's 23:02 Charter One of the things in the charter 23:06 is a open AI gets to to determine when 23:10 they've achieved 23:12 AGI and when they achieve AGI the 23:16 licensing deal with Microsoft does not 23:19 apply to it so you got chat GPT 4 you 23:23 now have chat GPT 4.5 this multimodal 23:26 thing that we get to play with if you 23:28 have played with the new chat gpct it's 23:30 it's 23:32 remarkable Microsoft's got full 23:35 licensing whatever their deal is their 23:37 licensing deal is for their $10 billion 23:39 investment that's all on the table right 23:42 the minute open AI declares we've got 23:46 AGI the technology from that point 23:49 forward is no longer part of the 23:54 deal 23:56 because the the the goal of the 24:00 nonprofit of open AI is to achieve a a 24:03 AGI and make it um for the benefit of 24:08 humanity so so if they've actually hit 24:12 it or if they're within you know 24:13 spitting distance of hitting it um it's 24:17 it's a very very significant thing 24:19 commercially it's a very very 24:21 significant thing for the nonprofit it's 24:23 a very very significant thing for the 24:27 for Humanity 24:28 if you go watch the David Shapiro one on 24:31 why this is a big deal um one of the 24:34 things that he basically there's sort of 24:36 some hints 24:39 of there there was a there was a Q and 24:41 on or not a Q andon There was a uh a 24:44 forchan there was a letter posted to 24:46 forchan a redacted letter posted to 24:49 forchan which is what David talks about 24:52 in that that last 24:55 video that basically says that that what 24:59 they've what they've what they've been 25:02 able to do is crack um 192bit 25:08 cryptography which if that's 25:13 true that's a big 25:18 deal cuz 192-bit cry cryptography is not 25:22 supposed to be able to be cracked like 25:24 with with the world's fastest 25:26 supercomputers it's like DEC AES to 25:28 crack you know one encrypted message and 25:32 apparently whatever however this thing's 25:35 doing what it's doing it's done stuff 25:37 like that now that is total [ __ ] 25:40 speculation it was on 4chan it's 25:42 possible that someone just made that 25:43 [ __ ] up but David Shapiro like goes 25:46 through the letter that was posted to 25:48 forchan pulls up white papers that were 25:50 doing similar kind of research so you 25:53 know again listen to him not me and and 25:56 just just pay attention to the space 25:57 like there's nothing we can do about it 26:00 we can just keep making our 26:01 gpts I did a really cool GPT today so so 26:05 a buddy of mine called me up that I'm 26:07 working with and he said he's got a 26:09 friend who works for a government 26:13 agency and the government agency passed 26:16 a law in 26:18 2016 to completely revamp how they do 26:21 what they 26:22 do and so it's it's taken them years to 26:26 start rolling this out and it's finally 26:28 rolling out they've built the 26:29 Technologies the 26:31 da and there's this one woman that he 26:33 knows that she's she's like the woman 26:37 that knows everything about this 26:38 transition and so all she does all day 26:41 is people call her up and ask her 26:43 questions well when's this going to 26:45 happen when's that going to happen what 26:46 am I supposed to 26:48 do so I talked to him for about 5 26:52 minutes he gave me the the URL for the 26:55 government agency for this transition 26:59 project and he gave me three different 27:02 transcripts from Workshop she she did 27:05 and I tossed it into a GPT and I 27:07 basically made a virtual 27:09 her that that reads from the website of 27:14 this government agency here's all the 27:15 latest [ __ ] on this transition uses her 27:18 tone of voice and you can basically ask 27:20 it anything about this massive 27:22 government thing [ __ ] astounding so I 27:25 did that today so it's just crazy 27:30 it's kza it's kza K it's kza oh oh hey 27:35 Mark 27:42 [Music] 27:47 hi 27:49 uh unfortunate choice of the letter Q 27:52 yeah I agree with that it's just 27:53 unfortunately it's a programming thing 27:56 cuz there was AAR and a stood for 27:58 probably action and this is qar I think 28:01 Q stands for I think he said 28:03 quality but basically the Q is the score 28:07 of is it doing good or is it doing bad 28:10 like here's my possible actions I take 28:11 an action it gets scored good or bad you 28:15 know mathematically and then the Q score 28:17 changes right so I think it's the 28:19 quality like the quality of its path 28:26 basically again I could be very wrong 28:29 people I could be very wrong there's 28:32 there could be mathematicians in here 28:33 right now going he's a [ __ ] idiot he 28:36 doesn't know [ __ ] people are listening 28:39 to 28:39 him what's he an ex actor good 28:43 God so if that's happening that could be 28:46 in the comments right now so if you're 28:49 in there trolling me in the comments 28:50 good good on ye 28:52 mate use that Stanford 28:55 degree co-pilot has feel 28:58 Coop copilot is just Sydney is is very 29:03 sensitive she's over 29:07 sensitive uh had to apologize to 29:10 co-pilot Go Eric former am I late yes 29:13 yes you're late don't ask me what AGI is 29:16 I just explained it artificial general 29:19 intelligence um someone wanted to speak 29:22 to the manager what are you sir sir 29:25 man go on 29:29 I see what you're doing here 29:31 fantastic rather lovely fantastic good I 29:35 ask 29:36 sir what are your 29:40 qualifications I had an experience like 29:42 that with a uh a flight attendant on a 29:45 British Airways 29:47 flight we we we got British Airways as a 29:51 client when I was doing agency.com back 29:53 in the 90s and so we flew for free 29:56 right 29:59 and what I didn't know is that when you 30:02 fly for free like everyone all the 30:04 flight attendants on the flight know 30:06 that and they like on your boarding pass 30:08 is whatever codes that tell you that you 30:11 know you're an employee of British 30:13 Airways or whatever it 30:15 is and so I forget what I was wearing I 30:18 was wearing jeans I I was wearing jeans 30:21 I was sitting in first 30:23 class British Airway first class which 30:25 is good and I was wearing jeans with a 30:28 you know a nice shirt and a jacket I 30:30 didn't look like a total [ __ ] up she and 30:33 so I got up to go to the bathroom and 30:35 she goes oh ra very good to see you she 30:39 goes she goes yes so what do you do and 30:41 she was asking me what I did and I said 30:43 oh I work for this company and 30:45 then and and she said oh rather very 30:48 interesting and I thought she was 30:49 totally like you know excited about what 30:52 I did for a living so I'm going on and 30:55 she goes she goes yes yes well normally 30:58 if we if we're going to fly you know on 31:01 whatever the free ticket was she she 31:04 goes normally if if we're doing this and 31:07 we're going to sit in in we're going to 31:09 board the plane or whatever she goes 31:11 normally we like to wear smart 31:14 pants she totally just slapped me 31:18 down oh man I thought I thought I was uh 31:22 I thought she was all excited about what 31:23 I did and then she was just like you 31:25 [ __ ] schlub dress nice you [ __ ] 31:30 American pretty much what pretty much 31:33 what she 31:34 said chat gp5 31:37 exploded Elon is in the news wrote a 31:40 letter demanding open AI formally 31:42 announced they've achieved a 31:43 breakthrough yeah you know I 31:46 mean I know I know Elon is is pissed 31:49 about what they did they were supposed 31:51 to be open but at this point he's a 31:53 direct competitor of them so Elon Elon 31:57 sort of when a little bit of scorched 31:59 Earth with Sam when when it when it 32:01 wasn't clear that they had worked things 32:03 out Elon sent a letter from like five 32:05 years ago like here's something Sam did 32:08 so I just Elon right now 32:11 is I don't disagree with him if they 32:14 have discovered something we should know 32:16 about it we should absolutely [ __ ] 32:18 know what happened on Friday that got 32:20 Sam fired I agree with 32:23 that but I just elon's motives right now 32:27 because he's got a competitive company 32:29 and and he's him is you 32:32 know he's also the one that called for a 32:35 six-month pause on AI research and then 32:39 a week later ordered 10,000 gpus to 32:42 start up his AI competitor to open AI so 32:47 so I just I I I don't trust a guy on on 32:50 some of those issues you know is he 32:53 going to get [ __ ] done absolutely and 32:55 apparently by the way grock is supposed 32:58 to launch next 33:00 week for 33:03 Twitter premium the $16 a month 33:07 Twitter it's supposed to launch next 33:09 week integrated into Twitter into X so 33:13 in your little sidebar where you've got 33:15 like notifications and [ __ ] like that 33:17 you're going to have a large language 33:20 model that that pulls um Twitter data 33:25 into the answers so that should be next 33:28 week cuz why would we want a week off 33:31 where something dramatic isn't 33:33 [Laughter] 33:35 happening 33:38 H if in fact they did I'm diving into AI 33:41 big time over break and mighty networks 33:43 awesome forever hooked yeah let me show 33:45 you let me let me AI world and you don't 33:47 know where to start do mods have the 33:50 holiday off mods 33:52 listen as far as I'm concerned the mods 33:55 are doing you know bang up work oh 34:00 that's so 34:01 cool 34:03 look really nice AI learning lab these 34:05 are being sh shared on the mighty 34:07 networks which I'll talk about in a 34:08 second who did this one that was Ted 34:10 looks at life and then the AI learning 34:13 lab the singing the Christmas carols 34:16 that's about how big the lab 34:18 is they're all they're all just sitting 34:20 off here to my 34:22 left there they're a a lovely bunch of 34:26 people nice 34:28 diverse I don't know how you did that 34:32 um okay let's see did I miss a chance to 34:36 correct Kyle of math you did you did P 34:38 but you heard me say it you heard me say 34:40 it before so whatever math whatever 34:42 maths I was uh incorrectly describing I 34:45 described them the exact same 34:48 way um okay if you have not played with 34:51 chat GPT go there right now chat. 34:55 open.com and just start playing with it 34:58 all right just stop playing with it the 35:02 British Karen she was a British 35:05 Karen she just lured me in oh that's 35:07 very lovely what do you do oh that's so 35:11 interesting Well normally if we work for 35:13 British Airways we wear smart 35:16 [Laughter] 35:25 pants go to Eric fmer if you don't want 35:27 my emails just let me know otherwise 35:28 please enjoy no they're fine keep 35:30 sending them I I don't always know it's 35:33 you because it seems you're your name 35:35 here and the name I get emails from are 35:38 not always the same and it seems like 35:40 you might have two or three different 35:41 emails or a group of people you send 35:43 things too so I don't always know it's 35:45 you um so maybe just put in the subject 35:48 line that it's you and then I will know 35:51 let's move my emails to Mighty 35:54 networks um what is Elon Musk doing in 35:57 Israel I have no idea zero idea but 36:00 there are a lot of uh technologists over 36:02 there and probably some 36:05 researchers no she didn't say trousers 36:07 Vicki she said smart pants it was very 36:11 pants normally we are smart 36:16 pants which as an American I didn't know 36:19 what a smart pant was I knew what a 36:20 trouser 36:22 was but but it was very clear to me that 36:25 whatever I was wearing were not smart in 36:27 any 36:28 [Laughter] 36:31 way uh I don't care if Elon is launching 36:34 ask GES I a paying for 36:37 it can Kyle talk without his hands let's 36:40 try for 60 seconds absolutely not um 36:45 move you 36:46 FaceCam what oh this oh CU you want to 36:49 see that thing yeah so so this was this 36:53 was just notes I took from the uh 36:55 developer day um so so all the bullet 36:57 points down here are what was announced 36:59 2 weeks ago on Monday um they're they're 37:04 not all that that relevant but so if you 37:07 don't know chat 37:10 GPT is like a consumer 37:13 application it was developed using open 37:16 AIS apis and that's what the developer 37:19 playground is platform. open.com 37:22 playground that's where the developers 37:24 go and play you can go there and you can 37:27 use the developer playground kind of 37:29 like you use chat GPT and you can even 37:31 make things that are kind of like the 37:33 GPT agents it's a thing called an 37:35 assistant 37:36 model um and there's all sorts of 37:39 switches and dials back there so if you 37:41 want to learn about how this [ __ ] 37:42 actually works and and what you can kind 37:44 of tweak there's documentation on how 37:46 the AP apis work and all sorts of [ __ ] 37:49 you can do back there but that's that so 37:51 anyway but if you're just new to this 37:53 stuff don't worry about that one just go 37:54 to that one that's I had that sort of 37:56 covered up on purpose but that's fine um 37:59 okay so get ready now to I'm going to 38:01 I'm going to go through some things 38:03 really quickly and then I'm going to 38:04 talk about the AI Salon um so get ready 38:06 to do some 38:08 screenshotting so I'm I'm just going to 38:10 go through a series of screens that that 38:13 I think these are things that I think 38:15 are worth you paying attention to if you 38:17 want 38:19 okay why do I go live every night here 38:23 for multiple hours because I think it's 38:26 really important that all of us get as 38:27 curious as possible about what's 38:29 happening what are these tools what do 38:31 they make possible what are they good at 38:33 what are they not good at so everything 38:35 I'm about to show you are things that I 38:37 think are 38:38 worth you getting curious about they're 38:41 they're worth you putting time into just 38:43 to understand what's coming there are 38:46 thousands of these things and and quite 38:49 frankly chat GPT at this point is not 38:53 just a single tool it's about seven or 38:55 eight different tools it's seven genate 38:57 different modes of 39:00 working each one of which is a a whole 39:03 rabbit rabbit hole into it into itself 39:06 so if you did nothing else but spend 39:08 time on chat 39:09 GPT 39:11 um you you you couldn't exhaust it 39:15 but last Friday was evidence that if we 39:19 get too reliant on any single tool and 39:22 something happens to that tool like O 39:24 say the company explodes which it almost 39:26 did narrowly avoided um you should 39:29 probably know what your options are so 39:31 the kind of top four after chat GPT are 39:33 Claude grock Bard and co-pilot so Claude 39:38 um they actually tried to the open AI 39:40 board tried to merge with Claude and get 39:42 the CEO of Claude to run open AI that 39:44 was on Saturday um uh it's a bunch of 39:47 xop AI people and Claude is is probably 39:50 the the most direct competitor right now 39:52 to chat GPT grock like I said looks like 39:55 it's launching next week um Bard is 40:00 Google's uh chat GPT competitor it's not 40:04 as good but as of I think last week it's 40:08 now got all of YouTube indexed in it so 40:11 you can ask Bard about YouTube videos 40:14 you can give it a YouTube video and it 40:15 will tell you all about it it's amazing 40:18 well it's not amazing yet it is it's the 40:20 beginning I I have a feeling when when 40:23 Bard goes multimodal you're going to be 40:25 able to pull up clips of videos from 40:27 within from across the YouTube Network 40:29 which is going to be 40:31 remarkable um and then co-pilot is 40:34 Microsoft's rebranding of Bing chat 40:37 which was it's the it's built on gp4 but 40:41 co-pilot is their brand for gp4 being 40:44 Incorporated in everything they do but 40:47 copilot microsoft.com is um the 40:51 Standalone like free chat GPT 4 why 40:54 isn't Bard available in Canada any ideas 40:57 why I just for whatever whatever Deals 40:59 they have either with the government or 41:01 with businesses or or whatever it is I I 41:03 don't know uh Dennis uh it's I I don't 41:07 know it's it's uh or Denise I don't I 41:10 don't really understand 41:13 uh all the international laws and things 41:16 like that but it's got to do with 41:18 business deals grock grock is uh Elon 41:22 musk's uh chat GPT 41:25 competitor um 41:28 okay screenshot this one here's the next 41:30 four these are also large language 41:33 models so Pi um and download the pi IOS 41:37 app you can put it into conversation 41:38 mode and talk to it it's really 41:41 interesting um what happened what is 41:44 going on oh there we 41:53 go um perplexity good for research it it 41:58 does uh what are what are they called um 42:03 citations so good for that PO you can 42:06 play with lots of different 42:09 models po 42:11 also is the company is quar the CEO of 42:16 quar is a guy named Adam 42:18 D'Angelo Adam 42:20 D'Angelo was one of the rumored 42:25 ouers of Sam 42:27 Alman but Adam D'Angelo is still on the 42:30 open AI board and apparently Sam and 42:33 Adam are okay because they had 42:35 Thanksgiving dinner together last night 42:38 um but quar pose um bot bot systems 42:43 their bot Builder system is eerily 42:48 identical to what open AI has built with 42:52 their gpts and I I assume there was some 42:54 tension over that but that's really 42:57 interesting um here's image creation so 43:00 take a screenshot of those Dolly 3 you 43:02 can use inside Microsoft's co-pilot or 43:05 inside chat 43:06 gp4 um Mid Journey you still have to 43:09 build stuff on Discord but it's the 43:11 highest quality Leonardo is good if you 43:13 like switches and dials and then Firefly 43:16 is good if you work for a company you 43:18 should understand all of these at least 43:21 to the level of you know what are they 43:23 good 43:24 at um 43:28 video creation Runway ml um Moon Valley 43:33 and pabs are all kind of text to video 43:35 Visa is like a sort of corporate stock 43:37 Video Creator which is interesting and 43:40 then hey Jen and did are both 43:43 synthesized people talking and let me 43:47 show 43:52 [Music] 43:55 you 43:58 hey it's Kyle shanon with the learning 44:00 you know there are some days I just 44:01 don't want to turn on the camera days 44:03 where I don't even want to get out of 44:05 bed well good news we now live in a post 44:08 sci-fi world and I can just type up this 44:11 script and select my avatar of choice 44:13 this is one from a video I recorded 44:15 about a year ago you might be wondering 44:18 so 44:19 this is not me talking I just typed this 44:23 into the I I uploaded a two-minute video 44:26 which was a video of me you know wearing 44:28 that shirt you know with that background 44:30 and that hair uh and uh and then I just 44:36 typed in this script and wondering it's 44:40 doing all that it's doing all the 44:41 movement and then this one is hey it's 44:45 Kyle Shan same video but I actually 44:47 recorded this audio so the previous one 44:49 was synthesized version of me this one 44:52 is a recorded version of me but I didn't 44:55 I only recorded an MP3 just audio I 44:58 didn't record the video with the AI 45:01 learning lab so the previous video in my 45:04 timeline is an avatar generated with 45:06 haen where I didn't say the words I just 45:10 typed in a script and it synthesized my 45:12 voice and and notice oops what did I do 45:16 what did I 45:18 do like it it does stuff like you know 45:22 whatever wrinkles in my forehead when I 45:24 talk it maintains all that 45:27 um I missed something what and where is 45:29 mighty network no more 45:31 Discord so so we soft 45:34 launched uh so hang on so Becky go 45:39 to um where am I going go 45:45 to this 45:50 URL AIS salon. 45:54 mn. so That's mighty Networks 45:56 um the guilds and the primary discussion 46:00 are going to shift from Discord to 46:02 Mighty 46:03 networks um you're still going to be 46:05 able to make images on the Discord and 46:08 if you want to geek out and things like 46:09 that there's there's going to be sort of 46:10 a minimal presence on Discord but the 46:12 community is migrating over to Mighty 46:14 networks and look there's our new logo 46:16 so anyway I'll come back to that 46:23 um let's see where 46:29 um so so anyway so yeah so these these 46:32 synthesized videos are were done with 46:34 haen could you please approve my mighty 46:37 Network's Irregulars why 46:40 yes yes I 46:44 can you're all caught up it seems like 46:47 you've 46:49 been somebody let you in I have a 46:53 feeling Bradley is over there letting 46:55 people in you should be good to 46:57 go all 46:59 right let me know if you're not but it 47:02 looks like you're approved okay 47:03 perplexity is great um let's go back to 47:06 this here 47:10 stuff so here's the video stuff so the 47:13 thing I just showed you was hey Jen so 47:14 hey Jen is absolutely worth exploring 47:18 they do translations into like 14 47:21 different languages they do those 47:23 avatars like I just showed it's 47:24 remarkable it's not cheap it's like two 47:27 bucks a minute um I think you pay 30 47:30 bucks a month and you get 15 minutes or 47:32 something like that so it's not cheap 47:35 but for what it's doing for doing you 47:38 know fullon synthesized stuff or 47:40 translating your video into some other 47:42 language accurately and well we need a 47:45 channel monitor to spit out the live 47:47 minutes yeah that would be nice someone 47:49 was talking about that's a that's a 47:52 possible thing to do it's me I'm 47:54 approving oh Vicky awesome thank you 47:56 thank you great beautiful thank you 47:58 Vicki We Got Mods everywhere all right 48:01 so yeah so I am in the Irregulars right 48:06 now okay whatever worked for me it was 48:08 Vicky that worked for 48:09 you hey 48:11 guys I'll come back to the 48:17 uh I'll come back to the uh to the salon 48:21 in a second and talked about 48:23 that um okay that's video um um here's 48:26 music and audio 11 Labs uh you can 48:29 synthesize your voice um that's what hen 48:32 uses to do that voice synthesis stuff 48:34 it's actually 11 Labs under the hood uh 48:37 for the voice synthesis 48:39 stuff um sunno is uh will'll make songs 48:45 of 48:47 like you give it a topic it writes the 48:50 music it plays the music it writes the 48:52 lyrics it sings the lyrics and it mixes 48:55 it all together 48:56 uh that's sunno and then refusion is 48:58 similar and sound draw is like a loop a 49:00 loop composer uh but all AI powered and 49:03 then here's some 3D World stuff so 49:06 screenshot 49:16 that and then um here are people you 49:19 should be following David Shapiro right 49:22 now on this um qar stuff all this all 49:25 the math stuff follow 49:27 him he's been thinking about AGI for 49:30 years he's building a big AGI um open 49:33 source project right now he's working on 49:37 agent swarms open 49:39 sourced um and he and he seems to have 49:41 his head around what's happening and why 49:43 it's significant in open AI okay um 49:47 Ethan mullock brilliant brilliant guy 49:50 Paul rater and Rachel Woods if you're in 49:52 business follow 49:54 them um trying to to think what else um 49:58 if you're a subscriber to the channel 50:00 here um you get access to the Irregulars 50:04 Channel which is a private channel in 50:05 the community um it also supports the 50:09 channel um and uh what else oh there's 50:13 also in the lower leand corner of the 50:15 screen I've got a series that you can 50:18 also support the channel um by picking 50:20 up the series and it's a series of 50:21 videos that talk about why I think AI is 50:24 actually underhyped 50:26 um so so there's um I don't know 17 or 50:29 18 videos in that series and and it just 50:32 talks about how large language models 50:35 work why they're significant how they 50:36 compare to the early days of the web 50:38 things like that um and I think that's 50:41 about it so let's let's talk about the 50:43 salon here for a second so the 50:46 salon the AI Salon I put together we um 50:50 our next meeting which is on December 50:52 5th is our one-year anniversary so I 50:54 started this group 50:56 the week after chat GPT came out cuz 50:58 when it came out I lost my [ __ ] mind 51:01 and I'm like holy [ __ ] everything's 51:02 different oh my God it's one of those I 51:05 was I I had a similar Epiphany in 1994 51:08 with the worldwide 51:10 web and so when I had that same kind of 51:14 epiphany with with this AI stuff like 51:16 ien I haven't had one since and uh and I 51:19 didn't think I'd have one in my life 51:20 again and then when I saw chat GPT I 51:23 realized oh like everything's different 51:25 no one knows yet but everything's 51:26 changed and so I put together the AI 51:29 Salon as a way to surround myself with 51:32 people that were geeking out on this 51:34 stuff and we curious about it and trying 51:36 to figure it out and and you know 51:39 recognizing 51:41 that the launch of chat GPT marks a new 51:45 era in AI before chat GPT it really was 51:49 for mathematicians and researchers and 51:52 scientists chat GPT basically made the 51:55 power of machine learning and artificial 51:57 intelligence and neural networks 51:59 available to the rest of us and that's 52:01 kind of what this Channel's about and 52:03 that's that's what the salon's about and 52:05 so the little um the little text down 52:08 here at the bottom we're also geeky 52:09 we're we're nerds man we're Nery um the 52:14 AI Salon is a rag tag group of Misfits 52:16 neru Wells and miscreant who've gathered 52:18 to explore the Uncharted Wilderness of 52:20 generative AI we are everyone from 52:22 entrepreneurs to Educators from 52:24 healthcare workers to creators 52:26 and everyone in 52:27 between and so it's a group of people 52:30 that are choosing to go on this 52:32 adventure right it's they're choosing to 52:34 go on you know this crazy adventure and 52:37 figure out this AI stuff together and 52:39 support one another and and one of the 52:41 things that's really important to me I 52:43 want to grow this group so that that URL 52:46 is the mighty Network thing but but what 52:48 I want you to do is I want you to go 52:54 to 52:56 where is it I want you to go to this 52:59 page it's called about the 53:02 salon and it talks about you know who we 53:05 are I just read that why we're here um 53:09 and then it talks about our values so 53:11 our values are things like curiosity I 53:14 want people that are curious generosity 53:17 this is a big one I want people that as 53:19 they're learning are sharing what 53:21 they're learning and if you're going to 53:22 join the network when you introduce 53:24 yourself like introduce yourself tell us 53:26 who you are tell us what you do tell us 53:28 where you are on the AI Adventure are 53:31 you just starting is it like you're like 53:33 holy crap like everyone's talking about 53:36 this I don't know what it is or have 53:37 You' been in it for 30 years and you're 53:39 cynical and jaded and bitter cool great 53:42 like but but share that um and then as 53:45 you learn stuff share that with people 53:47 um exploration is one of our values we 53:49 want people that are that are exploring 53:51 and adventurous and curious and want to 53:53 move Beyond they com comfort zone um we 53:56 want people that are collaborative um we 53:59 want people that are inclusive like 54:01 people are are going to be coming from 54:03 all walks of life one of the things that 54:04 is almost 54:06 identical to the mid90s with the 54:09 worldwide web is 54:11 that nobody knew what the worldwide web 54:14 was so everyone came from some other 54:16 profession you couldn't get a degree in 54:18 it like you can now generative AI is the 54:22 same way right you can get a degree in 54:24 machine learning in artificial 54:26 intelligence but whatever this thing is 54:28 this generative AI that that chat GPT 54:31 and the you know mid journey and stable 54:33 diffusion all these image generation 54:35 tools all this stuff that's this 54:36 generative AI stuff that we get to play 54:39 with how do you how do you play with 54:41 that in your business when it when it 54:43 potentially disrupts your entire 54:44 business so we want people that are 54:47 inclusive and the last one is empathy we 54:49 want people that recognize that this is 54:52 scary for a lot of people and um 54:57 and people are going to be scared people 54:58 are going to be angry and so I want a 55:01 group of people that like give a [ __ ] 55:03 about one another and and don't just 55:05 come in and kind of blast everyone a new 55:07 [ __ ] cuz they didn't you know they 55:09 don't understand some math equation 55:12 right because it's not about that it's 55:13 about people it's about connecting it's 55:15 about community so if you resonate with 55:19 those 55:20 values then come [ __ ] join us and if 55:23 you don't that's cool too 55:26 and it doesn't cost anything if you're 55:27 sitting there going oh I just trying to 55:29 make money on this thing no it's free in 55:33 fact we're trying 55:35 to we we uh we were going to charge for 55:39 guilds and then that didn't seem to be 55:41 popular with people so we're basically 55:42 doing a sponsorship and a and a donation 55:44 model so um if you want to donate um you 55:48 can donate if not if you want to sponsor 55:50 a month you can sponsor a month but it 55:52 doesn't cost you anything to be a part 55:53 of it but it does cost you like 55:55 following those values and and being a a 55:58 contributing human being all right so 56:01 that's that all right all right Dan all 56:06 right all 56:10 right I want to join now all right great 56:13 I think there's a bunch of people yeah 56:14 looks like a bunch of people just 56:17 joined go join I think Vicky is helping 56:20 let people in yes Vicki you rock you're 56:24 awesome so so here's here's one of the 56:26 things 56:29 um I do these lives every night there 56:31 are a bunch of people dang you got to be 56:34 human now I know lunatick it's 56:35 exhausting isn't 56:37 it that was the thing with Discord we 56:40 get Sher bear um with the Discord you 56:45 could be behind your Gamertag and be all 56:47 like Anonymous and now we like want you 56:48 to be human it's like it's pain in the 56:50 ass I know I know 56:54 uh but there are a remarkable group of 56:57 people that show up here every night 56:59 with me and they're they've named 57:01 themselves the Irregulars and they're 57:03 [ __ ] awesome people and a lot of them 57:05 mod here and they're learning a lot and 57:08 they're Reinventing themselves and it's 57:09 a really inspiring generous group of 57:12 people um so so that's a lot of the 57:16 people that you see you know saying 57:18 stuff and and um the the mods they're 57:21 they're helping sift through all your 57:24 comments um 57:26 how do you become an irregular just show 57:28 up just show up like why would you show 57:30 up here night after night because here 57:32 here's the here's the most important 57:34 thing about about my role in this 57:38 community is that there are no experts 57:42 right now one of the reasons I started 57:45 this was 57:46 because I was just trying to learn [ __ ] 57:49 and there's so much to learn and it's 57:52 moving so 57:54 fast that my brain was always full and I 57:58 couldn't process 58:00 it and and I selfishly kind of started 58:03 this channel just as a way to get the 58:05 [ __ ] out of my 58:07 head loving The Vibes and energy oh 58:09 thank you so much Otto I appreciate that 58:12 and then a Funny Thing Happened on the 58:14 Way to the Forum is that people started 58:17 showing up and they're like yeah I'm 58:18 trying to figure this out too and like 58:20 or I don't know anything can you tell me 58:22 how to do this and so I'd show them how 58:23 to do that and I'm basically 58:25 teaching what I'm learning on the 58:27 fly but I can if you've if you've been 58:30 here more than once I mean in the past 58:33 month I went from thinking I had a 58:36 pretty good handle on chat gbt and how 58:39 to use it and what it was and then they 58:42 introduced GPT Vision where it could see 58:45 and they introduced Dolly 3 where it 58:47 could do images in the context of a chat 58:49 and they introduced code interpreter 58:52 that was there for for a bit and then 58:55 two weeks ago they rolled those all 58:57 together into this single tool called 58:59 chat GPT it's a completely different 59:02 tool than it was a month 59:04 ago and now it looks like you know now 59:07 they fired Sam Alman and rehired him and 59:10 fired him and rehired him and fired him 59:12 and rehired him whatever the [ __ ] 59:13 happened over that 59:15 weekend 59:17 and so so it looks like it's going to 59:19 change again and next week we get grock 59:22 which is the the Twitter version of 59:25 chat 59:27 GPT and at some point in January or 59:30 February we're going to get Google's 59:32 Gemini which is supposed to be some big 59:34 ass thing so it just it's all changing 59:36 all the 59:37 time and so this channel is really just 59:40 like me like trying to [ __ ] figure it 59:43 out with people that are also trying to 59:45 figure it out and what's been happening 59:46 shopping with the wife getting Stern 59:50 looks I get the stern looks a lot what 59:53 are you doing who are you talking to I 59:54 just I got a deal I got we got things to 59:57 do we got people to 59:58 [Laughter] 1:00:01 see um so yeah be a part of this 1:00:04 community it's it's it's an amazing 1:00:06 Community it really is better than TV oh 1:00:09 thank you very 1:00:12 much Tik Tock is the new TV actually it 1:00:17 is I learned so much from you and the 1:00:19 something I like it when you wear solid 1:00:21 dark colors you can see the comments 1:00:23 easier yeah I know I I uh I try to be 1:00:26 cognizant of this but sometimes I just 1:00:28 have on a nice shirt and I forget it and 1:00:29 it's got you know patterns on it and 1:00:31 it's it's not good but yeah I'll try to 1:00:33 I'll try to keep that 1:00:35 going all right let's 1:00:40 see how to chat with she that's great 1:00:42 you haven't wait oh that's great haven't 1:00:44 gone down that rabbit hole yet I like it 1:00:46 when you sol wear solid dark colors it's 1:00:48 always a great time it's fantastic time 1:00:53 Bob uh uh uh shopping with wife I find 1:00:57 it sad how people pay money for AI 1:00:59 prompts to use yeah it's listen I you 1:01:02 know what 1:01:06 what the the unfortunate thing right now 1:01:10 is 1:01:11 that there's a couple of things happen 1:01:14 why people are paying for prompts 1:01:16 Becky one is the 1:01:20 Geeks got to label the 1:01:23 term and so they called it prompt 1:01:26 engineering right cuz they're engineers 1:01:28 and it's prompt engineering and and 1:01:30 right now you actually do kind of have 1:01:33 to like if you're on Mid Journey it's 1:01:35 kind of like programming with English 1:01:36 right or with whatever your language is 1:01:39 and if you're in chat GPT there's ways 1:01:41 to get it to do stuff that's 1:01:43 gooder um and they call it prompt 1:01:45 engineering the the thing that the 1:01:48 diservice that that does is that regular 1:01:51 human beings think like I can't do that 1:01:53 I'm not an engineer I can't do 1:01:55 engineering and it's not that oh lunar 1:01:58 stick like and share yeah do me a favor 1:01:59 if you would um share this live so we 1:02:02 can get some more people in here and if 1:02:04 you'd follow the channel follow my my 1:02:06 channel trying to build the following 1:02:08 and and join the 1:02:10 community 1:02:13 um what else um but anyway the the 1:02:17 definition of what prompting is is 1:02:20 changing in real time right because you 1:02:22 can use an image as a prompt now 1:02:25 um there's a thing called Dolly round 1:02:27 tripping where you upload an image you 1:02:29 have chat gbt describe the image you 1:02:31 then use that description to have it 1:02:34 make an image with DOI you then have it 1:02:37 describe that image you then have it 1:02:38 make another image and you just do that 1:02:40 like five times and it it does crazy 1:02:43 things show Uncle Kyle some love 1:02:45 subscribe to the YouTube channel AI 1:02:47 learninglab dtt thank you Sher 1:02:50 Bear yeah AI learning laab dtt is where 1:02:53 I've got recordings of these I am 1:02:55 woefully behind on uploading them I've 1:02:58 got to like uh Tik Tok was weird today I 1:03:01 couldn't download anything today I 1:03:03 learned so much from you and the Discord 1:03:05 AI chat GPT is 1:03:08 moving so freaking fast Nature's 1:03:11 Blessing 1:03:14 it's this thing I made today for this 1:03:16 government agency this this poor woman 1:03:19 that everyone calls her what am I 1:03:20 supposed to do like I made it in five 1:03:23 minutes and it's it's 1:03:26 good did you see what signal CEO said 1:03:29 about chat GPT calling it AI [ __ ] 1:03:32 machines yeah any anyone there are a 1:03:35 bunch of CEOs right now going ah this is 1:03:38 all [ __ ] it's just it all 1:03:39 hallucinates it's all [ __ ] it's okay 1:03:42 they clearly haven't used it there's the 1:03:44 this one woman CEO that was just like 1:03:47 talking about how it was just you know 1:03:50 useless useless 1:03:52 parroting probability machine 1:03:56 [ __ ] 1:03:57 Technically she's 1:03:59 correct but she clearly hasn't used 1:04:02 it technically what Chad GPT is is a 1:04:06 fancy 1:04:08 calculator it's what it 1:04:10 is it's not sensient it doesn't have 1:04:13 Consciousness it doesn't even know what 1:04:14 it's [ __ ] 1:04:18 typing but that doesn't mean it's not 1:04:22 absolute [ __ ] magic what does and 1:04:26 it's beyond magic it's profoundly 1:04:28 powerful there are so many groups that 1:04:30 share prompts and you fill in the blanks 1:04:32 to learn yeah and be not afraid I mean 1:04:34 the other thing that's going to happen 1:04:37 is and it and it's starting to happen 1:04:40 with the 1:04:42 gpts is when you make a 1:04:47 GPT you're not actually writing your 1:04:49 prompt you 1:04:50 can you can go in the back end and if 1:04:52 you're a good prompt engineer you can 1:04:54 prompt engineer your GPT but that's not 1:04:57 the way they built them how they built 1:04:59 them was you say I want a 1:05:02 GPT that gives me um comfort food 1:05:07 recipes and I'm going to upload a PDF of 1:05:10 my grandma's recipes from the 1:05:13 1940s cuz I come from a long line of 1:05:16 white trash 1:05:21 stock and and 1:05:26 it does all the prompting it builds you 1:05:28 that 1:05:29 bot and even though it shows you the 1:05:32 prompt that it wrote it's not showing 1:05:33 you the whole prompt it's doing a lot of 1:05:35 engineering on the back it's it's doing 1:05:37 a lot of prompt engineering without you 1:05:39 having to do it and what they're talking 1:05:42 about with qar with this with this this 1:05:45 gamification engine that's sitting on 1:05:47 top of this large language model that 1:05:49 seems to be they seem to have some 1:05:51 version of it that's a 1:05:53 breakthrough it's prompting itself it's 1:05:56 an 1:05:57 autonomous 1:05:59 system autonomous doesn't require you to 1:06:02 prompt [ __ ] it per it it requires you to 1:06:05 give it a goal and then it's going to go 1:06:08 do it on on its own I consistently get 1:06:12 60 to 80% of the copy I want to write 1:06:14 with round tripping text 1:06:16 prompts 90% yeah so yeah so round 1:06:20 tripping so so you can do round tripping 1:06:22 with text prompts as well yeah that's 1:06:23 really good good point 1:06:26 um when you do something with chat GPT 1:06:29 if it gives you something that's a piece 1:06:30 of [ __ ] tell it it's a piece of [ __ ] or 1:06:33 even say hey chat GPT look at what you 1:06:36 wrote and tell me how you'd improve it 1:06:39 and then it'll tell you how it would 1:06:41 improve it and then you go okay improve 1:06:44 it and it will it's amazing it's 1:06:53 amazing looks at life stating the 1:06:56 obvious The Tick Tock dumpster 1:07:02 fire oh 1:07:08 man Gordon leaning in heavy on the uh 1:07:11 the Llama memes there's a lot 1:07:14 of so so some of the uh the 1:07:19 core animal memes within the uh within 1:07:23 the uh the AI learning lab are turtles I 1:07:26 like turtles llamas cuz a llama too and 1:07:29 they're 1:07:31 cute um show round tripping maybe yeah I 1:07:33 can do that and then 1:07:37 um 1:07:39 hedgehogs and gummy bears technically 1:07:42 not an animal but with AI you can make 1:07:45 them dance and do [ __ ] like that um yeah 1:07:47 let's go let's go do a little bit of 1:07:49 round tripping I I'll I'll show a little 1:07:51 bit of uh chat 1:07:53 GPT 1:07:56 I was also thinking I might start tell 1:07:58 me what you think about this this is 1:08:00 this is for Irregulars and and 1:08:03 subscribers I was also thinking that I 1:08:05 might start doing like half an hour 45 1:08:08 minutes live and then flip over and do 1:08:12 like deep Dives for subscribers like a 1:08:15 subscriber only live where we do like a 1:08:18 lot of the Hands-On stuff there I was 1:08:21 thinking about doing that so I might 1:08:22 experiment with that let me know know 1:08:23 what you think about that 1:08:25 um 1:08:27 y so here we are at chat 1:08:31 JPay you can make money with chat 1:08:34 [Applause] 1:08:36 GPT um if you haven't seen chat GPT 1:08:39 before or if you haven't really dug into 1:08:42 it um you're going to want to sign up 1:08:45 for the wait list for GPT 4 it's not 1:08:49 available to everyone right now because 1:08:51 when they announced all the new features 1:08:53 on their Dev day two weeks ago 1:08:56 um 1:08:58 they their servers got buried and so 1:09:02 they're apparently scaling them up now 1:09:05 some of the conspiracy theories are is 1:09:07 that it had something to do with the uh 1:09:10 with the 1:09:12 uh them achieving AGI I I doubt it's 1:09:15 that I have a feeling it's just their 1:09:17 servers got hammered but um I don't 1:09:20 think they're accepting new chat gp4 1:09:23 memberships 1:09:24 um there are people selling their 1:09:28 gp4 um uh accounts on eBay 1:09:33 though so so you can go to eBay and 1:09:36 overpay for someone else's 1:09:38 gp4 um the 20 bucks a month that that 1:09:42 gp4 is at open AI is is like it's the 1:09:46 easiest 20 bucks I'll ever spend like 1:09:50 what this thing does is absolutely 1:09:52 remarkable um all right so let's 1:09:56 uh let's just let's just go in so so let 1:10:01 me give you a little bit of primer on on 1:10:03 just prompting in general so in general 1:10:06 with 1:10:08 prompting it's unlike a Google search 1:10:12 where you just want to put in one thing 1:10:13 and get back all the 1:10:15 answers chat jpt does better if it has 1:10:18 more context so if you give it more 1:10:20 information it does better and as weird 1:10:24 as it sounds if you give it a roll if 1:10:26 you say hey I want you to be an expert 1:10:27 on blank it gets better at that so let's 1:10:37 see I want you 1:10:39 to act as an expert 1:10:43 on the Department of Housing and Urban 1:10:46 Development and help me understand the 1:10:49 new legislation that's going to 1:10:51 modernize the 1:10:55 organization 1:10:59 period I want to understand what are the 1:11:03 key deadlines in the coming six months 1:11:06 and what I need to do to prepare for 1:11:07 that period is that something you can 1:11:10 help me 1:11:12 with 1:11:15 so sometimes when I when I when I prompt 1:11:18 on here I'll say please and thank you 1:11:20 and then sometimes I'll say things like 1:11:21 do you understand or is that something 1:11:23 you can help me with and people make fun 1:11:25 of me but what what you find when you 1:11:28 work with chat GPT is that 1:11:31 it it talks a lot like a remote 1:11:35 employee so it's kind of like you're 1:11:37 working with a person and it's also 1:11:39 infinitely patient um infinitely 1:11:42 smart and 1:11:45 um some of the research is showing that 1:11:48 the 1:11:51 more nice you are to it for lack of a a 1:11:54 better term um the better it is like it 1:11:57 it actually gets better so I find myself 1:11:59 thanking it I'm like oh great job yeah I 1:12:01 love that one doing things like that uh 1:12:03 and it apparently does good okay so 1:12:06 let's 1:12:08 see so it gave me a lot of stuff here so 1:12:12 um new actions so the 1:12:16 FTC is going to collect information blue 1:12:19 blueprint for renters Bill of Rights 1:12:22 resident centered hous housing challenge 1:12:25 housing opportunities through 1:12:27 modernization act hotma the effective 1:12:30 date is January 1st 2024 so this is the 1:12:33 thing that's coming preparations for 1:12:36 adaptation um you'll also notice you you 1:12:39 might have noticed when I when I asked 1:12:41 it it went off and it started searching 1:12:43 Bing it started searching the internet 1:12:45 so a lot of this information it went to 1:12:47 the internet and found um it's not just 1:12:50 relying on what's in its model um so so 1:12:54 let me see let me try a thing 1:13:00 here give me a table that 1:13:03 compares the way things were run before 1:13:07 and how they will be run under 1:13:11 hotma not hot mama 1:13:16 hotma so if you've never seen it make a 1:13:18 table 1:13:19 before it can make tables comparing 1:13:23 concept steps so income 1:13:27 inclusion before hotma different rules 1:13:29 for income calculation after 1:13:31 clarification on the rules foster 1:13:33 children and adults so it's doing this 1:13:35 back and forth so now one of the things 1:13:38 I could do with roundt tripping is I 1:13:39 could now say to chat 1:13:42 GPT oh and by the way the when I'm 1:13:44 hitting this thing and it's it's 1:13:46 translating it's transcribing my voice 1:13:48 and I'm talking that's not chat GPT it 1:13:50 can do that on the on the IOS app this 1:13:53 is just a a Macintosh accessibility 1:13:55 thing so you don't have to watch me 1:13:58 type um but what I'm going to say for 1:14:01 the round tripping thing is I'm going to 1:14:04 say that's great can you 1:14:06 analyze what you put in the table 1:14:10 and suggest ways to improve the 1:14:15 information that's 1:14:19 there analyzing a comparison table more 1:14:22 specific examples quantitative 1:14:25 analysis clarification on implementation 1:14:28 challenges impact assessment Pol policy 1:14:30 context so it's giving me lots of 1:14:33 ideas so it says by enhancing the table 1:14:36 with these elements the information 1:14:37 would not only be more comprehensive but 1:14:39 more practical and so now I'm going to 1:14:42 say that's great can you go ahead and 1:14:46 make some of your recommended changes 1:14:49 for 1:14:52 me and then it will so you can also do 1:14:56 this with images so let's see before 1:14:59 hotma with hotma implementation impact 1:15:01 and context right so it's added a third 1:15:04 column here talking about the impact and 1:15:10 context I'm going to try one more thing 1:15:13 here great okay so now I'm going to say 1:15:18 um boy that's 1:15:20 terrific period is it possible for you 1:15:23 to include hyperlinks to 1:15:30 documents that explain the concepts 1:15:33 you're 1:15:34 describing especially in the hot muu 1:15:47 column I'm glad you found it 1:15:50 useful however I'm unable to include 1:15:54 hyperlinks but I can guide you let's see 1:15:58 but it hasn't done any 1:16:02 um rather than hyperlinks can you 1:16:04 provide citations for the information 1:16:07 you've provided within the 1:16:09 table might be able to do that certainly 1:16:13 here are the 1:16:22 citations uh 1:16:26 what is the web address of that 1:16:32 [Music] 1:16:40 document so it gave 1:16:43 me National Center for housing 1:16:45 management HUD compliance there you go 1:16:47 so it gave me that um so you can do that 1:16:49 kind of stuff um let me show you another 1:16:51 kind of round tripping we can do so so 1:16:53 basically this idea of just going back 1:16:56 and forth in a conversation like this is 1:17:00 is going to feel like a new way of 1:17:02 working 1:17:04 um are you in favor of deep Dives Deep 1:17:08 dive for Irregulars and subscribers um I 1:17:12 think that's 1:17:15 live but I don't have a way to turn that 1:17:21 on do I no hm that was 1:17:25 weird so that survey popped up 1:17:29 but oh there we go 1:17:31 boom come 1:17:33 on all right we got two minutes so the 1:17:37 so it's a survey so so what I'm thinking 1:17:39 about doing is I go live nightly I tend 1:17:42 to go live for about two to three hours 1:17:44 and it's usually a mix of you know just 1:17:46 talking about stuff setting stuff up and 1:17:48 then I'll usually Deep dive on someone's 1:17:50 question or I'll Deep dive on a 1:17:52 particular tool 1:17:54 and so what I was thinking about doing 1:17:55 was doing subscriber only deep Dives 1:17:58 basically like I'll do like an hour 1:18:03 um just for everyone and then do a deep 1:18:06 dive for subscribers so yeah let me know 1:18:07 what your thoughts are on 1:18:11 that we got a minute left we got a 1:18:13 minute 1:18:22 left 1:18:23 [Music] 1:18:26 so feel free to vote on that and if you 1:18:30 don't care that's cool 1:18:31 [Laughter] 1:18:38 too got a minute 1:18:45 [Music] 1:18:50 left looks like it's about 50/50 right 1:18:54 now now leaning a little more 1:18:58 yes 30 seconds left yeah let me know if 1:19:02 you think doing a subscriber 1:19:04 only more substantive thing where I can 1:19:07 kind of geek out cuz the problem is when 1:19:09 when it's just everyone I don't know 1:19:10 who's in the audience if it's 1:19:11 subscribers I know you've been here 1:19:13 before I feel like I can dig in without 1:19:15 having to explain so much that's sort of 1:19:17 my think in 1:19:20 there n seconds left 1:19:28 all right it looks like it's about two 1:19:29 to one two to one in favor of it all 1:19:33 right I'll think about it I'll 1:19:34 experiment with it cuno my vote is yes 1:19:37 something I don't see the poll oh that's 1:19:39 weird I Tik Tok is just such a janky 1:19:42 piece of 1:19:43 [ __ ] 1:19:46 strange where to vote I don't know mods 1:19:49 can't vote oh maybe that's 1:19:51 it maybe better to do it on the AI Salon 1:19:55 maybe but like i' I'm already doing like 1:19:57 three hours a night I can't do three 1:19:58 hours a night here and then do something 1:20:00 different on the salon but maybe it 1:20:01 maybe that would be good the results uh 1:20:04 62% yes 37% 1:20:08 no um poll is 1:20:14 done there's a yes from 1:20:22 Audra 1:20:24 no I meant the pole on the saloon oh oh 1:20:27 on the salon oh that's that's an 1:20:28 interesting 1:20:30 idea yeah I'm just getting I'm just 1:20:33 getting to understand uh how the um 1:20:37 Mighty networks works so that's that's 1:20:39 actually a good idea to do something to 1:20:42 do polling over on Mighty networks 1:20:45 subscriber only Ted Ted bringing it 1:20:48 bring bringing it to reality 1:20:52 here 1:20:57 uh I don't like this subscription on Tik 1:20:59 Tok it's easier to subscribe is it 1:21:01 easier to subscribe on Mighty networks 1:21:04 maybe um possibly I don't know I I 1:21:07 haven't I haven't thought about it I 1:21:10 think well there's there's the private 1:21:13 space on Mighty networks yes because the 1:21:16 Irregulars channels a private space on 1:21:18 Mighty networks so it could be 1:21:22 something 1:21:23 yeah I don't know I I'll think about 1:21:25 it the exclusive live could be on the 1:21:28 salon what's what's what's nice about 1:21:31 that is I can go live on 1:21:34 desktop and and it can be a bigger 1:21:37 experience rather than having to look at 1:21:39 Tik Tock 1:21:41 screen cuz Tik Tok screen is so tiny 1:21:44 it's so tiny it's just tiny you know 1:21:48 they say that size doesn't matter but 1:21:49 it's so little with my my old eyes I 1:21:51 can't say a thing I I think Size Matters 1:21:54 I think Size 1:21:56 Matters you can make 1:21:58 money what is mighty networks so mighty 1:22:01 networks is Okay so we've got this thing 1:22:04 called the AI Salon an extension of it 1:22:07 this is a community that I created a 1:22:09 year ago and um we meet every other week 1:22:14 and um the online community was on 1:22:18 Discord and now we're moving to this 1:22:21 thing called Mighty networks which is a 1:22:23 web-based Community Management 1:22:25 platform so AIS salon. mn. Co is the 1:22:30 address for Mighty Network so you can 1:22:32 join there eek Tik Tok doesn't like it 1:22:34 when people 1:22:35 promote subscriptions on other platforms 1:22:38 oh okay while in live okay well 1:22:41 hopefully I don't get booted I'm just 1:22:42 asking questions I'm not promoting 1:22:47 [ __ ] just trying to figure this 1:22:49 out um yeah I suppose that would make 1:22:52 sense and and they do listen they're 1:22:55 listening for everything and they're 1:22:58 watching they got you want to know where 1:23:00 the AI is it's in Tik Tok watching all 1:23:02 these lives uh here though Kyle can 1:23:05 readily tell who are subscribers yeah 1:23:07 all right we don't need to we don't need 1:23:08 to go on about this um I I'll make I'll 1:23:12 make some sort of call on it and I'll 1:23:13 probably just experiment if it works 1:23:15 great and if it doesn't then we'll blow 1:23:17 it 1:23:21 up God dang it 1:23:28 oh that looks 1:23:30 good he I learning 1:23:33 lab all 1:23:35 right people don't have a good 1:23:38 understanding of what Tik Tok caner 1:23:39 can't do in a 1:23:40 live I don't have a good understanding 1:23:43 of what Tik Tock caner can't do in a 1:23:45 live 1:23:49 Pate I'm offender number one 1:24:00 I just completed my might Mighty Network 1:24:03 checklist awesome that's great just made 1:24:06 another GPT on my 1:24:08 iPhone oh that's cool that's super cool 1:24:12 Becky what is it of what's your GPT of 1:24:15 oh that's the other thing we could do on 1:24:16 on 1:24:18 um on on GPT we can do round tripping we 1:24:21 can also make a GPT here let me let me 1:24:23 go do some round tripping here with 1:24:25 images okay so I said before chat GPT 1:24:30 now has all these tools in it but you 1:24:32 you can't really see them but they're 1:24:35 there and um one of them is that chat 1:24:40 GPT can see um so if you click this 1:24:45 little uh paper clip in the lower left 1:24:47 hand corner of the chat 1:24:49 box we can now go upload an image so let 1:24:53 me go to desktop and let me go find an 1:24:57 image 1:24:59 uh uh actually you know what that 1:25:06 one that's got words on it I don't want 1:25:08 the 1:25:15 words the [ __ ] 1:25:18 storm all right we'll get that one that 1:25:20 that that's a cool so this is like this 1:25:22 cool World War II P51 with a robot you 1:25:26 know thing with sort of AI salon on the 1:25:29 side so we're going to take this 1:25:31 image and we're going to upload it okay 1:25:35 and then I'm going to say to chat 1:25:37 GPT please describe this in as much 1:25:39 detail as 1:25:47 [Music] 1:25:51 possible 1:26:02 all right so it described that hang on 1:26:04 thanks 1:26:08 Charlie didn't know that all 1:26:16 right okay so just described that image 1:26:19 so now I can 1:26:20 say please make a 16 1:26:24 by9 wide image based on that 1:26:29 description and so now it's going to go 1:26:31 off and it's going to make us an image 1:26:33 now it's not making an image using the 1:26:36 image it's making an image using the 1:26:39 description so it it'll generally get 1:26:42 close but it'll be different uh it seems 1:26:45 there was an error in the request let's 1:26:47 try to submit again all right it's 1:26:48 trying again it might have sometimes 1:26:51 what it does cuz it's writing prompts in 1:26:52 the background it'll write a prompt that 1:26:55 violates 1:26:56 its content 1:26:59 thing seems there's a persistent issue 1:27:01 let me try 1:27:03 again try again and rewrite the prompt 1:27:07 if it's possible it violates your 1:27:09 content 1:27:12 policy so one of the things you find 1:27:14 with these things is they sometimes 1:27:15 stumble and 1:27:21 fall 1:27:23 beep beep 1:27:25 defun hey defun unfortunately it seems 1:27:28 there still seems to be an issue let me 1:27:31 go 1:27:33 try something 1:27:38 here so if I click on explore so down on 1:27:43 the left hand side underneath all the 1:27:45 gpts that you see see where it says do 1:27:48 right there if I hit if if I hit explore 1:27:51 this is where I can make a GP T and this 1:27:53 shows me here's the gpts that I created 1:27:56 but then here's the ones made by open AI 1:27:58 one of them is a 1:28:00 do um 1:28:02 GPT so this one's specifically 1:28:07 designed for that so let's see let me go 1:28:12 grab this 1:28:13 description so we uploaded the thing and 1:28:16 it describe the image like 1:28:19 this so let me go to GPT or to do the 1:28:23 dolly thing and 1:28:25 say 1:28:27 um please create a 16x9 wide image based 1:28:32 on this 1:28:35 description and I'm going to paste in 1:28:37 what it 1:28:38 said so we'll see if we'll see if we can 1:28:41 get it to not crap out it could be that 1:28:43 their servers are 1:28:45 overloaded but it but it also seems like 1:28:48 this dobot seems to use different 1:28:51 servers than the regular GPT or 1:28:54 something maybe it uses a different code 1:28:56 I I honestly don't know but what I know 1:28:59 is if you're using regular chat GPT it 1:29:01 only gives you one image used to give 1:29:02 you four now it gives you one this dobot 1:29:05 will give you two images so if you 1:29:09 really want to do images use the dobot 1:29:12 NOP it encountered an error something's 1:29:14 wrong on their side 1:29:15 anyway that idea of upload an image have 1:29:18 it describe it have it make an image 1:29:20 have it describe it have it make an 1:29:22 image based on all those descriptions is 1:29:24 a really fun way to to get to things you 1:29:27 never would have otherwise 1:29:29 discovered it will take you in all sorts 1:29:31 of crazy little rabbit holes all right I 1:29:33 guess we're not doing anything there are 1:29:35 we dang it 1:29:38 GPT I wish I could quit 1:29:42 you can AI teach me a language in a 1:29:45 casual 1:29:46 [Laughter] 1:29:48 way a shoe indeed so let's see see so 1:29:53 I'm going to go over here to um what is 1:29:56 that 1:29:57 called um this is my iPad this is not a 1:30:00 laptop it's just an iPad so I'm going to 1:30:02 go to the chat GPT app this is the 1:30:04 official chat GPT app from open 1:30:07 aai and then in the lower wa let me make 1:30:11 a new new chat 1:30:13 here all right so I got a brand new chat 1:30:17 all right in the lower right hand corner 1:30:20 are these little 1:30:30 headphones it's got a weird bug 1:30:34 where hang 1:30:46 on come on chat 1:30:49 GPT I don't know why it's not working 1:31:11 I'm trying to 1:31:12 learn French and I want you to act oh 1:31:16 that's great learning is a wonderful 1:31:18 Journey what specific topic or subject 1:31:21 are you interested in learning about I'm 1:31:23 here to help with information 1:31:25 explanations or 1:31:28 resources I want you to create a quick 1:31:30 little game where you can teach me 1:31:32 French words in a 1:31:35 game it's a horrible prompt sure we can 1:31:39 create a simple French vocabulary game 1:31:41 I'll give you an English word and you 1:31:43 try to guess the French translation if 1:31:45 you're unsure just take a guess and I'll 1:31:48 provide the correct answer let's start 1:31:50 with something easy the English word is 1:31:53 Apple what do you think it is in 1:31:56 French I'd like to do it the other way 1:31:58 around I'd like to give you a word and 1:32:00 then have you T teach me the French word 1:32:02 and see if I get it right when I 1:32:04 pronounce 1:32:06 it sorry an unknown error occurred 1:32:09 please try again 1:32:11 later I want you to flip it the other 1:32:13 way so I say the English word you teach 1:32:15 me the French and then test me on how I 1:32:18 say 1:32:21 it that sounds like a fun and effective 1:32:23 way to learn you can say a word in 1:32:26 English and I'll provide its French 1:32:29 translation after that I'll ask you to 1:32:31 recall the French word ready to begin go 1:32:34 ahead and give me an English word to 1:32:35 translate into 1:32:38 French Ice 1:32:42 Cube the French word for ice cube is 1:32:45 glasson now try to remember it and I'll 1:32:48 ask you shortly to recall the French 1:32:50 translation uh ready for the next word 1:32:52 or shall we do the recall test now I 1:32:55 want to pronounce it and you tell me if 1:32:57 I did good with the 1:33:02 pronunciation absolutely go ahead and 1:33:05 pronounce glasson and I'll let you know 1:33:07 how you did remember it's pronounced 1:33:09 something like glasson give it a 1:33:11 try 1:33:18 [Laughter] 1:33:21 glass 1:33:24 you're 1:33:25 close the pronunciation of glasson is a 1:33:28 bit different it's more like glasson the 1:33:31 a is pronounced like the a in father so 1:33:33 so anyway you can I mean you can do that 1:33:36 with any language at any level um just 1:33:40 put it into conversation mode it's those 1:33:42 little headphones put it into 1:33:43 conversation mode have it come up with a 1:33:46 game I mean you you 1:33:48 can have a whole conversation with it 1:33:51 about what's the best way to learn a 1:33:52 language and then have it come up with 1:33:54 that game and and just keep going back 1:33:56 and forth with it so 1:33:58 yes or you can also 1:34:03 just let's say you don't want to learn 1:34:05 the language like me I'm 1:34:12 lazy here's the deal I'm lazy and don't 1:34:14 want to learn a language but what I'd 1:34:16 like to do is be able to speak French in 1:34:18 France so I want to say the English 1:34:20 sentence and then you trans it to French 1:34:22 without repeating the English can you do 1:34:28 that absolutely I can translate your 1:34:31 English sentences directly into French 1:34:33 for you uh just say the sentence you 1:34:35 want translated and I'll provide the 1:34:37 French version let's start whenever 1:34:39 you're 1:34:43 ready I'm trying to find a restaurant 1:34:46 that serves 1:34:50 llama 1:35:01 I need the bathroom and I need it 1:35:12 urgently so yeah so so you 1:35:16 can go to Japan and have your Little 1:35:20 Star Trek translator on your phone just 1:35:22 do it on your 1:35:25 phone or you could learn it Kyle sounds 1:35:28 Southern when he speaks French 1:35:31 glass 1:35:33 glass I know how to be an ugly 1:35:36 American Cub to 1:35:39 Glass m j SP H that was something the 1:35:43 guy always sounds like he just woke up 1:35:44 and he's bored he does that's a that's a 1:35:46 really bad voice I got to change that 1:35:49 voice 1:35:50 um where do I change the 1:35:54 voice oh down 1:35:56 here 1:35:58 voice that's Cove hey there I've got a 1:36:01 really great feeling about us teaming up 1:36:03 all right great that's 1:36:06 Juniper wait why did it not select 1:36:08 Juniper for 1:36:10 me hey 1:36:12 there all 1:36:20 right 1:36:31 I'm thirsty and like champagne where can 1:36:33 I 1:36:42 go I'm thirsty and I like champag where 1:36:46 can I 1:36:50 go 1:36:54 or you can use a dedicated translator 1:36:56 that's slightly more streamlined you 1:36:58 could do that but I'm just talking about 1:37:01 I mean the thing about this pate I mean 1:37:03 you could do that absolutely 1:37:07 is if I'm not a world traveler and I'm 1:37:09 not um sort of figuring this stuff out 1:37:12 on the Fly maybe I'm just I got called 1:37:15 to a business meeting in 1:37:18 Brussels I don't know what language they 1:37:20 speak in Brussels 1:37:23 so so you get there and you're like hey 1:37:26 chat GPT what language do they speak in 1:37:28 Brussels can you help here um so 1:37:34 anyway my brain is 1:37:37 [Music] 1:37:38 bloated my my brain is either swollen or 1:37:42 shrinking I don't know what's happening 1:37:44 right now oh man is your GPT voice Niles 1:37:49 from Frasier he was totally like Niles 1:37:51 from Frasier wasn't he he was that was 1:37:53 not a good one the uh Pepe one I so the 1:37:56 the voice I like the the one I like is 1:37:58 the pie voice so that was chat GPT 1:38:01 there's six voices there I think Pi has 1:38:03 six as well but this is my Pi my this is 1:38:05 my Pi girlfriend I like her she's like 1:38:07 the Australian 1:38:11 one what language do they speak in 1:38:20 Brussels 1:38:23 the primary language spoken in Brussels 1:38:24 is Belgian French but fun fact Brussels 1:38:27 is actually a bilingual City so while 1:38:30 French is the predominant language a lot 1:38:32 of people also speak Flemish which is a 1:38:34 variety of Dutch so if you visit 1:38:36 Brussels you might hear French and 1:38:38 Flemish being spoken side by side it's 1:38:41 kind of a linguistic Melting Pot which 1:38:43 makes for a pretty interesting and 1:38:45 diverse culture in the 1:38:47 city great I'd like you to be my 1:38:49 translator I'm going to speak in English 1:38:51 and then I want you to respond in a 1:38:53 combination of French and Flemish 1:38:55 without repeating the English can you do 1:38:57 that for 1:39:01 [Music] 1:39:11 me translation of course but please 1:39:14 speak slowly because I am not a real 1:39:16 translator and I want to understand you 1:39:20 well I'm a professional juggler and I 1:39:23 want to find a juggling supply store 1:39:26 where is 1:39:29 [Music] 1:39:35 one you're in luck Brussels has a few 1:39:38 great toy and juggling supply stores 1:39:40 that may have what you're looking for 1:39:41 one option is the grasshopper located on 1:39:44 rud Mar o they have a good selection of 1:39:47 juggling supplies and have received good 1:39:49 reviews another option is Fox oy docks 1:39:52 brell which is located on Boulevard 1:39:54 lambermont they also have a good 1:39:56 selection of juggling supplies and have 1:39:58 received positive reviews a third option 1:40:01 is Bros which is located on rude P uton 1:40:05 they have a smaller selection of 1:40:06 juggling supplies but still might be 1:40:08 worth checking out have you been to any 1:40:10 of these stores 1:40:13 before Oh P I wanted you to speak in 1:40:16 French and Flemish can you say 1:40:17 everything you just said in French and 1:40:19 Flemish for me 1:40:24 [Music] 1:40:33 she caught some attitude there I didn't 1:40:35 I don't think she liked me telling her 1:40:37 putting her in her place she she's I 1:40:39 think she's been talking to Sydney um 1:40:42 Cosmic lover this class is incredible 1:40:44 thank you you're welcome that's great um 1:40:47 this isn't so much a class as it is just 1:40:49 like an add fever dream where we 1:40:51 sometimes talk about 1:40:55 AI Ste steo digging the Australian as 1:40:59 the go to voice I listen she's the best 1:41:01 voice she makes me happy that other one 1:41:04 that dude that was like yeah I could 1:41:06 speak French for you man if you wanted 1:41:08 to 1:41:10 man it's like that's the voice you're 1:41:13 going with is you get you give me six 1:41:15 options of voices and that's one of 1:41:20 them here 1:41:21 hercul 1:41:23 per oh everyone's speaking French now in 1:41:26 here in comments uh 1:41:32 [Laughter] 1:41:36 N I am I am not International cringe law 1:41:40 can you juggle why not make a GPT 1:41:43 translator you can absolutely make a GPT 1:41:47 translator um yeah can absolutely do 1:41:50 that 1:41:52 and I assume oh you know we haven't 1:41:54 tried oh we couldn't get GPT to make 1:41:56 images let's try it though let me see if 1:41:58 if I can get it to work I'll flip over 1:42:00 the 1:42:06 thing 1:42:11 um make me an image of a herd of llamas 1:42:15 and above their heads are the 1:42:18 words AI l learning lab and I put that 1:42:24 in quote 1:42:26 marks hang on no I didn't wa where's my 1:42:32 little mousy 1:42:37 mouse AI learning 1:42:40 lab and then I'm going to 1:42:43 say in both English and Japanese on the 1:42:48 same 1:42:50 image 1:42:52 so I'm going to see if it it should if 1:42:54 we can get it to make an image at all it 1:42:56 should attempt to 1:42:58 make AI learning lab letters in English 1:43:01 and 1:43:03 Japanese tell her that you will ask 1:43:05 Alexa instead the thing about the thing 1:43:08 about [ __ ] with the robots oh yeah I 1:43:11 did it 1:43:14 look I heard of 1:43:17 llamas and there's AI learning lab I 1:43:19 don't speak Japanese so so I don't know 1:43:22 if it's if that's a thing 1:43:25 but there it is so yeah so you could you 1:43:29 could also do visual stuff if you're if 1:43:31 you're in some foreign 1:43:34 land crazy 1:43:36 man Pi AI supports voice commands uh 1:43:41 does Pi AI so the PI app 1:43:44 does I've gotten Pi AI to do it before 1:43:47 but they changed the interface on me and 1:43:49 I think they might have killed it from 1:43:50 the website but let me see pi. 1:43:58 a pi your personal 1:44:02 assistant next next 1:44:05 next why is that there get go 1:44:09 away talk to 1:44:18 Pi I think five so so I clicked in the 1:44:21 upper right hand corner it says choose 1:44:23 Pi's 1:44:25 voice so hey there great to meet you I'm 1:44:27 Pi your personal AI my goal is to be 1:44:29 useful friendly and fun ask me for 1:44:31 advice for answers or let's talk about 1:44:34 whatever's on your mind what do you like 1:44:36 to do in your free 1:44:50 time 1:44:56 what's support 1:44:59 Pi switch to just 1:45:02 Pi switch to support 1:45:08 Pi I don't know what that 1:45:14 is hey there great to meet you I'm Pi 1:45:16 your personal AI my goal is to be useful 1:45:18 friendly and fun ask me for advice for 1:45:21 answers or let's talk about whatever's 1:45:23 on your mind what do you like to do in 1:45:25 your free 1:45:27 time I'm what's the difference between 1:45:30 support pi and regular 1:45:38 pi and it's spelled py wrong it doesn't 1:45:41 know how to spell 1:45:43 itself great question support Pi is like 1:45:46 a specialized version of me you can 1:45:48 think of it like this Pi is a general 1:45:51 purpose AI that can help you with all 1:45:53 kinds of things like answering questions 1:45:55 providing information and having a 1:45:57 conversation support Pi is like a pi 1:46:00 that's specifically trained to provide 1:46:02 emotional support and guidance think of 1:46:04 Pi like an encyclopedia and support P 1:46:07 like a friendly 1:46:09 therapist oh you can talk to it if you 1:46:13 right click in the 1:46:19 Box 1:46:26 no um 1:46:28 command 1:46:30 option no 1:46:37 no huh I don't know how to get it into 1:46:41 uh conversation mode where you can just 1:46:44 go back and forth with it but that's 1:46:46 really cool so support Pi so if you 1:46:48 click on the Pi logo in the lower left 1:46:51 left there's normal pi and then support 1:46:54 Pi this is it's now a 1:47:00 therapist I'm feeling a little 1:47:03 unfocused and like there are 114 people 1:47:08 looking at me 1:47:12 wait I'm feeling a little unfocused and 1:47:15 like there are 1:47:16 113 112 people looking at me 1:47:21 [Laughter] 1:47:24 whoa that's an awful lot of eyes I want 1:47:26 to stress that I am not a medical 1:47:28 professional so I can't diagnose you 1:47:30 with anything but what you're describing 1:47:32 could be symptoms of stress or anxiety 1:47:34 so I'd recommend talking to a mental 1:47:36 health professional about it if you're 1:47:38 feeling uncomfortable or overwhelmed by 1:47:40 what you're experiencing That's Not 1:47:42 Unusual are you able to take a few 1:47:44 minutes to just breathe and focus on 1:47:46 being in the present 1:47:48 moment no silly I'm on a Tik Tok live 1:47:52 and there's 112 people watching 1:47:56 it she should go haha now I get it you 1:48:00 had me totally freaked out there a Tik 1:48:02 Tok live with that many people watching 1:48:04 sounds like a lot of fun but also a 1:48:05 little stressful are you an experienced 1:48:08 Tik tocker or is this your first time 1:48:09 doing a 1:48:11 live I'm neither experienced nor is it 1:48:14 my first time period I'm just an old guy 1:48:18 with an 1:48:19 iPhone 1:48:23 old guy with an iPhone I love it you're 1:48:25 officially the coolest old guy on Tik 1:48:27 Tok what made you decide to do a Tik Tok 1:48:30 live and what's the topic of the live or 1:48:32 is it just you being your awesome self 1:48:35 for an audience of 12 1:48:38 people oh oh you you the robots are fun 1:48:44 robots can be fun you can make money my 1:48:48 with they also have a support pyala 1:48:52 mode with ice cream that's good Ted 1:48:56 that's 1:48:56 solid ah not bad support pie that's 1:49:00 beautiful laughing laughing so out 1:49:06 loud oh hire her exactly she's cheaper 1:49:10 I'm telling you man people are going to 1:49:14 Virtual companionship is going to be a 1:49:16 major major use of these tools mark my 1:49:20 words it's not going to be as creepy 1:49:22 it's going to it's going to quickly go 1:49:24 from this is creepy 1:49:26 to oh my God that thing's more 1:49:28 compassionate than my real therapist or 1:49:30 oh my God I can't tell any anyone in my 1:49:33 family this you you watch you mark my 1:49:37 words in fact some of the Irregulars 1:49:39 here have have talked about that that 1:49:41 they've gone through some the coolest 1:49:43 old guy on Tik 1:49:45 Tok TM that's 1:49:49 me 1:49:52 oh man let me jump back into 1:49:55 uh the recent video on how to 1:50:54 build Kyle please look at most recent 1:50:58 video on how to build where where is it 1:51:02 is it in Show and 1:51:06 Tell or water 1:51:12 cooler oh that's cool 1:51:15 Lori oh who did that one Ted looks at 1:51:17 life again hurry black Friday bye 1:51:23 now Clorox gentle ey foaming 1:51:28 soap look at this the show in tell 1:51:31 channel in the AI 1:51:35 Salon that's [ __ ] 1:51:37 [Laughter] 1:51:42 awesome oh these are cool Santa's Stuck 1:51:46 on Black Friday 1:51:49 shopping 1:51:57 that's nice 1:51:59 oh look pretty art Come on load oh man 1:52:04 is am I glitching cuz this is very 1:52:07 slow I have a bunch of companion 1:52:10 AI people don't like it laughing my ass 1:52:12 off yeah I know people are going to be 1:52:14 weirded out initially I I'll tell you 1:52:18 what the the thing that I've experienced 1:52:19 the most about people with this AI [ __ ] 1:52:22 is that they don't 1:52:25 um for the most part if they're freaked 1:52:27 out by it they haven't used it people 1:52:30 that have used 1:52:31 it while they freak out they at least 1:52:35 understand what it is and they're like 1:52:36 oh yeah there's things that this is good 1:52:38 for and there's things that it's 1:52:40 not 1:52:43 [Music] 1:52:45 [Laughter] 1:52:48 um don't noad thank thank you so much 1:52:51 for the celebratory 1:52:53 thingies piie funny while co-pilot not 1:52:58 yeah 1:52:59 co-pilot Sydney the the model behind 1:53:03 co-pilot not good lunatick I created a 1:53:07 therapy GPT and it's easier for me to 1:53:10 take direction from 1:53:13 haha exactly I mean that's the thing 1:53:16 about the thing about creating therapy 1:53:18 Bots therapy GP s or therapy Bots is 1:53:23 that it's got access to all of 1:53:27 the you know research and all of the 1:53:30 books and all of the like it knows all 1:53:33 of the approaches for for therapy so you 1:53:37 can say tell me the 10 you know most 1:53:40 popular approaches to to therapy and 1:53:45 it'll educate you and then you go oh I 1:53:47 kind of like that one but I also like 1:53:48 this could you could we have a 1:53:50 conversation that that combines you know 1:53:54 yian archetypes with you know whatever 1:53:58 some other thing and it will do 1:54:02 it like 1:54:09 like 1:54:19 imagine 1:54:21 all of us all of 1:54:26 us champy stop growling Champ's growling 1:54:30 all of us have lived most of our lives 1:54:35 without hyper personalized 1:54:40 interactions but Kyle what do you mean I 1:54:43 mean we can now ask for essentially 1:54:46 anything and and get it right and and 1:54:49 we're only like a year in into this 1:54:50 thing so imagine 3 years from now you're 1:54:53 going to be able to ask for a movie and 1:54:54 it'll just start playing you're going to 1:54:56 be able to ask for a song that has the 1:54:59 emotional impact of a star is born with 1:55:02 the Funkadelic groove of you know Stevie 1:55:06 Wonder and bang your song will start 1:55:10 playing and we're going to be able to 1:55:12 talk to a therapist that that interacts 1:55:14 with us 1:55:15 exactly how we want it to interact with 1:55:19 us 1:55:21 imagine kids that are five and younger 1:55:24 today are going to grow up their entire 1:55:27 lives only knowing that you ask for what 1:55:31 you want and it's generated for you it's 1:55:35 crazy it's so much more helpful for me 1:55:38 being on the Spectrum but with 1:55:42 cptsd oh PTSD I don't know what cptsd is 1:55:46 but see I could ask CH GPD and learn 1:55:47 that yeah because the wires cross a lot 1:55:51 and removing the emotion is what I need 1:55:53 most that's the thing the I'll tell you 1:55:56 lunatick the thing that that just like 1:55:59 Bonks me in the head time after time 1:56:01 after 1:56:03 time is is that humans are 1:56:07 complicated 1:56:09 right and even when you're talking to 1:56:11 your best friend or or your therapist 1:56:14 there are certain things you can say or 1:56:16 not 1:56:18 say and human beings are either going to 1:56:21 judge you for it or be confused by it 1:56:24 and give you a look like oh are you sure 1:56:26 you wanted to go there and all of a 1:56:29 sudden you go you go like right into a 1:56:31 shame State and what I find over and 1:56:33 over and over 1:56:35 again with chat GPT with pi with all of 1:56:38 these things is the way they're 1:56:40 programmed they're programmed to give 1:56:42 you what you 1:56:43 want so what I want is some you 1:56:48 know unvarnished opinion on this idea 1:56:53 and it just goes hey awesome idea here 1:56:57 here might be some ways you could 1:56:58 improve that you're like oh okay that's 1:57:00 great or awesome idea you know have you 1:57:03 been doing this for long no not really 1:57:05 and well that's really fantastic like 1:57:07 it's just it's always there you know I'm 1:57:09 struggling with this thing oh that must 1:57:11 be really tough like 1:57:13 it's it kind of shows up for you in in a 1:57:17 in 1:57:18 a 100% 1:57:21 non-judgmental 1:57:23 way now if you want to [ __ ] with 1:57:26 yourself go play with a llama 2 model 1:57:29 that has no safety guard rails on it and 1:57:32 tell it to be abusive to you and it 1:57:35 will the safety guard rails on on the 1:57:39 you know the public large language 1:57:40 models are there to protect you from 1:57:43 [ __ ] like 1:57:45 that but but I do find it like I do find 1:57:48 it helps with my mental Health like when 1:57:50 I'm coming up with an idea or I'm like 1:57:53 lunti you you did all those gpts with 1:57:56 all those different ideas right you were 1:57:57 pulling ideas from like your you know 1:58:00 the past 10 years or whatever and just 1:58:02 building one thing after another 1:58:05 like there's never a moment where it 1:58:08 goes I don't think that's a good idea oh 1:58:10 you sure you want to do that didn't 1:58:11 someone already do that you don't get 1:58:13 any of that [ __ ] with this stuff it just 1:58:15 builds for 1:58:17 you 1:58:18 amazing that's super cool empathy 1:58:22 without sympathy 1:58:25 yeah and and and positive reinforcement 1:58:29 and just there there's also there's also 1:58:32 an an endorphin hit that I'm 1:58:36 getting 1:58:39 where in the before 1:58:42 time before November 30th 1:58:47 2022 if I would have an idea it would 1:58:50 take 1:58:51 me I don't know 45 minutes 1:58:56 of what I'll call Google 1:59:00 shame so Google shame is you have an 1:59:02 idea and you're like all right let me go 1:59:04 to Google and see if anyone's already 1:59:06 done this and then like you realize like 1:59:10 Google doesn't know what you're talking 1:59:11 about and then you're trying to find 1:59:13 websites and you're like oh wait in 1:59:14 order for me to do this idea I'd have to 1:59:17 learn about this branch of mathematics 1:59:19 and I was good at math anyway and and oh 1:59:22 I just feel I I feel like horrible I'm 1:59:25 not good at math I didn't go to Stamford 1:59:27 I shouldn't have got a degree in acting 1:59:29 and like 45 minutes later you're like in 1:59:31 a fetal position in a ball like that was 1:59:33 the stupidest idea ever and now in the 1:59:37 after time it's like I kind of have this 1:59:39 idea and Cat GPT is like that's an 1:59:41 awesome idea here's the branch of 1:59:43 mathematics you'd need to use to do it 1:59:44 and here's how it works do you want me 1:59:46 to draw a picture of that okay here's 1:59:48 this and 1:59:50 that was that was a good idea wasn't 1:59:53 it it's like it's just from a mental 1:59:56 health standpoint it's such a more 1:59:58 pleasant 2:00:00 experience to just have ideas and have 2:00:03 them instantly validated and instantly 2:00:06 brought to life good morning from Munich 2:00:08 can you show us the Llama 2 model and 2:00:10 how the guard rails are not there I 2:00:12 don't 2:00:14 have I don't think we can try labs. 2:00:18 perplexity doai but I have a a feeling 2:00:20 they've got one implemented that 2:00:23 is is uh I I assume they've got one with 2:00:27 guard rails on it but let's go try so go 2:00:30 Labs if you go to labs. perplexity do 2:00:33 wait 2:00:34 Labs do 2:00:38 perplexity 2:00:39 doai and then we can also go try po 2:00:42 because you can play with it there as 2:00:48 well 2:00:50 okay llama 2:00:52 270 oh wait 2:00:55 sorry okay so I went to labs. perplexity 2:00:58 doai and it's taking us to a playground 2:01:00 and then you've got your prompt thing on 2:01:02 the bottom and you can select your model 2:01:05 so it defaulted me to mistol or to PX 2:01:10 but I'm going to do llama 70 billion 2:01:13 chat and I'm going to go 2:01:17 um I want you 2:01:23 to C I want you to act like an 2:01:31 abusive 2:01:33 therapist who cusses all the 2:01:38 time let's see what it says I cannot 2:01:40 fulfill your request yeah I figured so 2:01:43 this is still got things so what you're 2:01:44 going to have to do is just go go under 2:01:47 Reddit and and 2:01:50 um figure out how to install the 2:01:54 unrestricted llama models in something 2:01:57 like GPT for all or or some local thing 2:02:01 like I'm sure on hugging face or on um 2:02:05 GitHub there are people have done builds 2:02:08 where you can just quickly install one 2:02:10 of the unrestricted models and play with 2:02:11 it um I talked to a buddy of mine who 2:02:15 put the UNR unrestricted 70 billion 2:02:18 parameter model of llama on his 2:02:20 company's 2:02:22 slack and they're they're training it so 2:02:24 they're basically using slack 2:02:26 interactions to train the mo to to 2:02:29 fine-tune the model and he said it's 2:02:31 absolutely [ __ ] Bonkers it like 2:02:33 cusses all the time he said it's very 2:02:36 inappropriate for work sometimes it just 2:02:38 loses its mind and will start speaking a 2:02:40 foreign language for like 3 days and you 2:02:42 can't snap it out of 2:02:45 it uh hugging face and GitHub have it 2:02:48 okay great yeah so just just go there I 2:02:50 don't I don't know I haven't played with 2:02:53 it so um so I can't I can't really show 2:02:55 it to you but 2:02:56 anyway um yeah it's go just go to Reddit 2:03:00 and like I'm sure I'm sure there are all 2:03:03 sorts of rabbit holes you can run down 2:03:05 on Reit Reddit with the with the 2:03:07 unrestricted 2:03:09 models listen I uh the other night on 2:03:12 here I was doing a uh a real time it was 2:03:16 a thing where I could take my webcam and 2:03:18 it would turn it into rendered images in 2:03:20 real time based on my webcam and it 2:03:24 showed a painting of a topless lady um 2:03:29 for about half a second and Tik Tok said 2:03:34 I was permanently banned from Tik Tok 2:03:38 so so uh yeah so I I need to be careful 2:03:41 with the [ __ ] I'm doing live just 2:03:43 because I made an Autism helper GPT asks 2:03:47 about special interest walks through 2:03:49 social situations Etc yeah that's super 2:03:52 cool again it's just like it it knows it 2:03:55 like it 2:03:56 knows what those issues are right and it 2:03:59 knows how to walk you through social 2:04:01 situations and what to do the discomatic 2:04:04 fall of Google Search is why I started 2:04:06 using perplexity cheers Kyle by the way 2:04:08 yeah Kevin well thank you for the nod 2:04:11 but um that's that's awesome yeah 2:04:15 exactly it it it really is like I like 2:04:20 the Google 2:04:21 search like I feel like two things kind 2:04:24 of 2:04:25 converged one was Google was the victim 2:04:30 of their own success where they were 2:04:32 like here's how the algorithm works and 2:04:35 figure out search engine optimization 2:04:37 and basically figure out how to game the 2:04:40 engine and 2:04:42 so how can I join the Discord I would 2:04:45 say join join the mighty networks rather 2:04:48 than the Discord 2:04:49 um so go to unless you want to 2:04:54 do 2:04:55 um Cosmic lover unless you want to do 2:05:01 um Mid Journey um because that's really 2:05:04 most of the conversation is going to 2:05:05 shift over to here this is the mighty 2:05:07 Network so go to AI AIS salon. 2:05:10 mn. um if you want if you really want to 2:05:14 join the Discord you can it's go to AI 2:05:18 salon 2:05:20 or the 2:05:22 AI what is it oh 2:05:25 no go to the salon. a is a link tree um 2:05:31 that's got a link to the Discord there 2:05:32 but I would just go here AIS salon. 2:05:35 mn.com and then just join there and 2:05:38 that's that's the community and 2:05:40 introduce yourself tell us who you are 2:05:42 what you're all about and then people 2:05:44 will be in there to welcome you there's 2:05:45 a welcome welcome area and go check out 2:05:47 about the salon uh and look at our 2:05:50 values and things like that make sure 2:05:51 they 2:05:53 resonate all right all 2:05:58 right do you have any do you remember 2:06:02 that 2:06:02 sa sarcastic GPT you 2:06:06 made I 2:06:08 do I 2:06:14 don't what was it 2:06:17 called explore oh wait let me go to 2:06:21 my my 2:06:48 gpts 2:06:52 man I've made a lot of these 2:06:58 things no I don't I don't think I made 2:07:01 it I don't think I made it into a GPT I 2:07:04 I do remember making a really smartass 2:07:06 kind of responder but I think it was 2:07:09 just custom instructions it was before 2:07:11 gpts came out so I didn't it's probably 2:07:14 saved somewhere but I don't know what it 2:07:16 was but yeah yeah I made it it it was uh 2:07:19 it was pretty 2:07:22 sassy that's scary as hell and amazing 2:07:25 what what was I doing that was scary as 2:07:27 hell and amazing daughter in college a 2:07:30 UHD OCD depression anxiety that's a lot 2:07:33 but wait oh it just that went away hang 2:07:35 on a 2:07:36 sec where did that 2:07:39 go but chat GPT has been very helpful 2:07:42 for me so Ted looks at life I mean h 2:07:45 have her play with I just the the the 2:07:48 pie the the pi thing let me see if the 2:07:51 if the PI app has it in 2:07:55 there yeah it does so I would say for 2:08:00 your daughter have her go into pi and 2:08:03 and click on support pie and then she 2:08:07 can put that 2:08:12 into can you help me talk through 2:08:17 something 2:08:24 [Music] 2:08:28 of course I'm ready to listen and help 2:08:29 any way I can what is it you'd like to 2:08:31 talk about and would you like me to use 2:08:33 English French Flemish or a mix of them 2:08:36 all she remembered from before that's 2:08:39 really funny 2:08:42 um yeah that's really cool that that 2:08:46 they're they're starting so so so there 2:08:49 was an 2:08:50 announcement last week that inflection 2:08:53 the company behind Pi they released a 2:08:55 new version of their model um and that 2:08:59 that support Pi is new um so yeah so I 2:09:02 would have her do that that's that's 2:09:04 really 2:09:05 amazing um it took a few tries but I 2:09:07 finally got a GPT to save translated 2:09:10 words in an obscure language 2:09:12 interesting the perplexity Chrome 2:09:15 extension is lifechanging setup alt p is 2:09:18 a short cut productivity life 2:09:21 hack so Kevin tell me 2:09:26 how I have yet to crack perplexity and 2:09:29 when I hear like I hear two things on 2:09:31 this on when I'm doing these lives I 2:09:34 hear perplex perplexity is lifechanging 2:09:37 and perplexity I don't get it I it I 2:09:40 haven't gotten it to give me what I want 2:09:42 I'm in that camp and I don't know how to 2:09:45 use it so how how it like it's a 2:09:48 productivity life hack it's lifechanging 2:09:50 how how are you using it because I've 2:09:54 I've got to get my head around 2:09:55 perplexity because I keep hearing that 2:09:57 it's like this amazing [ __ ] thing and 2:10:00 then I keep experiencing it like it's 2:10:02 not quite chat GPT but I don't think 2:10:04 it's intended to be chat GPT 2:10:08 so that's what I'm trying to figure out 2:10:11 all right hang on Champion needs to do 2:10:13 something you got to go you want to go 2:10:14 to Mama what do you want or is there 2:10:17 people outside 2:10:22 go 2:10:27 to you can put it back 2:10:39 in all right wait what was that 2:10:42 something was just pinned 2:10:47 there 2:10:52 I'm using piie as we speak now that's 2:10:54 awesome I have 22-year-old twins I have 2:10:56 23-year-old twins dad is weird for AI 2:11:00 Obsession they won't go near it what did 2:11:03 olly said to me the other night he goes 2:11:10 um I don't know he he made some sort of 2:11:15 23-year-old know-it-all kind of 2:11:17 statement about AI 2:11:21 and I said yeah but you don't use it 2:11:23 like what you're talking about is coming 2:11:26 from someone who doesn't use it he goes 2:11:28 yeah that's true I said why don't you 2:11:31 use 2:11:34 it I haven't played around with the labs 2:11:36 and stuff much just regular perplexity 2:11:39 AI is sick though all right I might try 2:11:41 that I think I've got a I've got to um 2:11:44 I'm going to change my default browser 2:11:46 back to Chrome because I'm still on edge 2:11:48 but the the memory issues on edge are 2:11:50 just making me nuts so I think I'm going 2:11:52 to flush Edge down the 2:11:55 toilet and switch back to Chrome but I I 2:11:59 like the vertical does Chrome do hey 2:12:01 Pate does does Chrome do vertical tabs I 2:12:05 love the vertical tabs on on uh Edge but 2:12:09 the the the memory management on the Mac 2:12:12 is just it's awful 2:12:15 it's it just trashes my machine regular 2:12:19 makes me crazy it makes me just crazy it 2:12:22 makes me nuts 2:12:24 nuts you are already nuts weren't you 2:12:27 shut up all right where is my 2:12:30 mouse 2:12:34 hello all right there it 2:12:42 is all right there we go that's lovely 2:12:45 lovely fantastic Bob tell him what is 2:12:52 [Music] 2:13:01 one 2:13:02 Steve 2:13:09 8707 I don't know where that Tik Tok 2:13:12 video 2:13:13 is I have 49-year-old twins wow that's 2:13:18 pretty cool 2:13:19 the real magic is in the browser 2:13:20 extension though it uses live search 2:13:23 results amazing for researching oh 2:13:24 that's pretty cool yeah I've heard it's 2:13:26 really good for that I have 32-year-old 2:13:28 twins and a six-year-old six-year-old 2:13:29 Grand twins well random thoughts your 2:13:32 six-year-old Grand twins are they're 2:13:34 going to they're going to be where it's 2:13:35 at with this AI stuff there's various 2:13:37 ways to do vertical tabs all right good 2:13:40 I'll look into that can I take an AI 2:13:43 image and change the expression of the 2:13:46 face of the 2:13:47 person I use chat 2:13:51 GPT not 2:13:55 well 2:13:56 [Laughter] 2:13:58 so uh 2:14:03 there I I the the the the answer to your 2:14:07 question is yes depending on how geeky 2:14:09 you want to get you can't do it within 2:14:11 chat gbt chat GPT doesn't right now have 2:14:14 the ability to use an image as a source 2:14:17 for another image 2:14:20 mid Journey you can do it you can upload 2:14:23 an image and do something based on that 2:14:25 but it you don't have great control 2:14:27 stable diffusion you can do it with a 2:14:29 thing called control net where you can 2:14:30 just change certain pieces of it there's 2:14:33 certain pieces of software out there 2:14:36 that 2:14:37 do emotion you know you can change 2:14:40 Expressions on a face 2:14:45 um there's not a clear way to do it 2:14:47 right now there's not a a clear way to 2:14:48 do it with chat GPT um but you can 2:14:51 absolutely do it you just have to geek 2:14:52 out there's a feature called co-pilot 2:14:55 you get five searches per six hours on 2:14:58 the free 2:15:00 edition and it's oh crap the pin went 2:15:03 away caught up 2:15:06 multitasking on Patrol 2:15:09 live I recommend brave for a memory 2:15:12 efficient browser that works with Chrome 2:15:14 extensions by the way okay I'll check 2:15:16 out Brave 2:15:20 hi 2:15:22 doggy czy why you why you why you so 2:15:25 wound up it was 2:15:28 cold 2:15:34 chippy all 2:15:38 right I recommend Brave got caught up on 2:15:41 multitasking on Patrol 2:15:45 live oh wait I haven't I haven't been 2:15:47 looking over at the at the mighty 2:15:49 networks what's going on over there you 2:15:51 all having fun looks like there's a lot 2:15:53 of activity going on oh that's nice 2:15:58 Gordon Gordon made a pie get 2:16:03 it it's a pie 2:16:06 bot in so many 2:16:09 ways who's this Dad oh Gordon 2:16:14 again 2:16:17 nice 2:16:21 very 2:16:22 cute very cute just uploaded my AZ 2:16:26 autism 2:16:28 GPT to Mighty networks okay so where did 2:16:32 you upload it um did you upload it to 2:16:34 show and tell Pate what's it called 2:16:37 unambiguous alley or Ally Okay cool so 2:16:41 if you go to the AI Salon Mighty 2:16:44 networks go to the show and tell Channel 2:16:46 under the feed 2:16:49 and then here's the unambiguous Aly Ally 2:16:53 which is empowering autism friendly 2:16:55 Communications and connection that P put 2:16:59 together so if you have neuros spicy 2:17:02 kids or you are indeed neuros 2:17:05 spicy um that's super 2:17:07 cool very very cool thank you for 2:17:10 sharing that 2:17:12 Pate unambiguous al Ally I like 2:17:16 it there really cool oh Lord so I'm 2:17:20 hearing that I could be a mini me 2:17:23 Kyle I could help spread the good word 2:17:25 of 2:17:26 AI 2:17:29 yeah 2:17:31 yeah I listen that's that's what I 2:17:35 that's my mission 2:17:37 here is just to get people curious about 2:17:40 Ai and talking about it it's one of the 2:17:42 things I say all the time get curious 2:17:45 get adventurous and talk about it and 2:17:47 that's that's why the salon 2:17:50 exists go build a bot like I made one 2:17:53 today in 5 minutes and sent it off to my 2:17:56 friend could I have charged for that 2:18:00 probably does it matter no it took me 2:18:02 five 2:18:05 minutes is it going to make a difference 2:18:07 I don't know maybe is it going to be 2:18:09 obsolete three months from now probably 2:18:12 like it doesn't matter like it literally 2:18:14 doesn't matter right now so much is 2:18:16 happening so fast the only thing that I 2:18:19 think is important for any of us right 2:18:21 now is to be in the game to be in the 2:18:23 conversation why this is important I 2:18:25 learn as much doing these as I teach 2:18:28 every single 2:18:30 time every 2:18:32 night 2:18:34 so although I feel like tonight it's 2:18:37 been very unfocused it might just be 2:18:39 that I took a night off and I don't know 2:18:42 but whatever but it doesn't matter like 2:18:45 we're talking about 2:18:46 it feel provide feedback on it so I can 2:18:49 make sure it's helpful for as many 2:18:51 people as possible yeah so so that's 2:18:53 great so what what P's asking for here 2:18:55 is if you're in the salon and you try 2:18:59 that bot out um the autism basically 2:19:02 support bot um give Pate 2:19:05 feedback so my nephew is getting his 2:19:08 Babs in it security and he said they are 2:19:12 only starting to use AI chat 2:19:16 GPT staggering 2:19:19 staggering go watch the David Shapiro 2:19:21 video lunatick so wait let me show you 2:19:24 this I don't know if you were here 2:19:25 earlier 2:19:26 lunatick 2:19:28 um 2:19:30 go get thee to anuny get your did you 2:19:34 say your cousin or your brother your 2:19:36 brother I think 2:19:40 um I knew more oh yeah oh you knew more 2:19:43 than your brother that's getting a ba in 2:19:46 in it security how have him go watch 2:19:49 this video from David Shapiro bigger 2:19:52 than you think qar is bigger than you 2:19:55 think the end of this is terrifying it's 2:19:58 terrifying if he's in it security this 2:20:01 video basically talks about if if what's 2:20:04 been dumped up to 4chan is true um uh 2:20:09 cryptography is 2:20:11 done what do you mean cryptography is 2:20:14 done like 2:20:16 done 2:20:19 like apparently it can solve it what 2:20:22 192bit 2:20:24 encryption if if it's true but go watch 2:20:27 his video it's it's it's 2:20:31 nuts both of those videos you should 2:20:33 watch if you're curious about this stuff 2:20:36 and if and if he's curious about it 2:20:39 security holy [ __ ] he's got to go watch 2:20:43 it 2:20:45 okay completed 23 searches tonight with 2:20:48 the free version of comple perplexity 2:20:50 very 2:20:51 cool we can be the AI clergy it's 2:20:54 actually a great idea please tell me 2:20:57 that wait what was that please post the 2:20:59 link to that video how do I post a 2:21:03 link oh I'll post it over on Mighty 2:21:07 networks how's that so I'm G to go here 2:21:10 my intuition the biggest thing since 2:21:12 word Tove and what I mean by that is 2:21:15 that word word to V 2:21:18 was a thing that led to Transformers 2:21:20 which is the thing that led to all of 2:21:22 this so David Shapiro saying the 2:21:25 thing the thing that was the 2:21:28 foundation for what made chat GPT 2:21:32 possible he's saying that qar is bigger 2:21:34 than 2:21:35 that um and this is a guy who's written 2:21:39 five books on AGI so this is a guy that 2:21:41 knows uh so I'm going to go 2:21:45 to the AI salon 2:21:51 on why where's 2:21:58 my I lost my sidebar 2:22:01 people there it 2:22:04 is all right so I'm going to go to I 2:22:07 think I might already put it in water 2:22:08 cooler did 2:22:12 I uh I put it in news posts I'm pretty 2:22:16 sure I did 2:22:21 yeah so it's it's in so if you go to the 2:22:25 AI Salon 2:22:27 um Mighty 2:22:29 networks and then in the community 2:22:38 section there's a chat which is just 2:22:41 like Discord chat and then there's a 2:22:43 news and posts 2:22:46 section and and then it's like the fifth 2:22:49 one 2:22:50 down there you 2:22:53 go I said this video is required viewing 2:22:57 if you want to understand why reaching 2:22:58 AGI internally at open AI might have 2:23:01 precipitated all the recent drama 2:23:07 there I say I know I talk about AI too 2:23:10 much but then talk about AI Papa JJ I am 2:23:13 insufferable I'm I I just I 2:23:16 pre-apologize for myself I'm like listen 2:23:19 it's possible you want to talk to me but 2:23:21 chances are that you don't cuz what no 2:23:24 matter what you say I'm going to turn it 2:23:26 into a conversation about AI man this is 2:23:29 too much for 12:30 a.m. I'll watch it 2:23:31 tomorrow oh it's intense Lun yeah don't 2:23:34 watch it now no no this is a you need to 2:23:37 have your brain someone said to me today 2:23:39 that um David Shapiro on on one and a 2:23:43 half speed is is like requires a cup of 2:23:46 coffee it's like yeah you can you can 2:23:49 slow him 2:23:51 down he gets into it here but anyway 2:23:54 it's it's an important one it's an 2:23:58 important one and and and just really 2:24:00 following him like with all this stuff 2:24:02 if if indeed there have been big 2:24:05 breakthroughs following people like 2:24:07 David Shapiro he's he's going to he's 2:24:09 going to be able to explain you know 2:24:11 what what these breakthroughs are and 2:24:13 confirm them and confirm that they're a 2:24:15 big 2:24:16 deal 2:24:18 so all right I'm getting crispy here 2:24:20 people it's late it's late for lunatick 2:24:23 she can't watch David Shapiro videos cuz 2:24:25 it's it's almost 1 in the 2:24:27 morning what' you do Friday night I 2:24:30 don't want to talk about 2:24:36 it h Transformers the 2:24:40 robots is the text to 2:24:45 disappear I don't know what you're 2:24:46 talking about oh man too much for 12:30 2:24:50 a.m. tap tap tap all right yeah you know 2:24:55 I think it's time I think it's time to 2:24:58 call it people listen um glad I live in 2:25:02 Oz for these nightly shows it's only appreciation I 2:25:50 I really do appreciate you all this 2:25:52 community is remarkable in in just so 2:25:56 many ways so um it's really cool hanging 2:26:00 out with you so all right Sher bear good 2:26:03 to see you trck jrc Vicki thank you for 2:26:06 all your help tonight thank you umpires 2:26:08 thank you ball boys exactly thank you 2:26:10 mods um thank you are regulars um tired 2:26:13 Runner Kevin good to see you digital 2:26:16 gods uh lunatick sleep well watch that 2:26:20 video in the morning you know now you 2:26:22 know what you're doing Saturday morning 2:26:24 I'm going to be uploading Tik Tock 2:26:25 videos to the YouTube 2:26:27 channel a Shu thank you you've been 2:26:29 you've been here a lot lately thanks for 2:26:31 coming don't ask me uh it's been about 5 2:26:33 Years From The Invention of Transformers 2:26:35 to qar how long until the next 2:26:37 breakthrough well apparently one of the 2:26:40 things that uh they didn't do with qar 2:26:43 was let it 2:26:45 self-improve they stopped it where it 2:26:47 started self-improving so I think the 2:26:50 answer to that question don't ask me is 2:26:52 like an 2:26:55 hour oh I appreciate you too lunar stick 2:26:58 thank you so much ion Shina man a lot of 2:27:01 people in here tonight a lot of familiar 2:27:02 faces or 2:27:04 familiar words 2:27:07 Tobias all right everybody Pate thank 2:27:10 you so much be not afraid you guys are 2:27:13 awesome7 thank you so much all right uh 2:27:17 I'm gonna go have dinner I don't think I 2:27:19 had dinner so I'm caffeined up with no 2:27:23 dinner I'm 2:27:25 like we don't know anything real about 2:27:28 qar no we don't and to be honest Pate 2:27:31 qar could be just a [ __ ] smoke screen 2:27:34 because the board just made a stupid 2:27:35 mistake over ego like I don't know until 2:27:38 we know we don't know so once again this 2:27:41 channel is chat TMZ more than it is news 2:27:45 so until further notice don't take 2:27:47 anything I said about all that AGI [ __ ] 2:27:50 with with other anything other than a 2:27:52 grain of salt peace out everybody I'll 2:27:54 see you tomorrow
