3:01 [Music]
3:10 whoa all right buddy you go lay
3:14 down the people wait yeah I was early I
3:17 came early came early 5 minutes early I
3:20 got bored the dog started singing I'm
3:21 like I can't stop this might as well let
3:24 the people enjoy
3:28 it Amelia's wife is going to be very
3:31 upset she tries to make it on time this
3:33 is going to throw oh she's
3:38 here she's on time she's
3:43 early wow that is that's that's
3:50 something all right happy Friday night
3:53 everybody it's Xmas
3:57 weekend and uh
4:02 I got no plans I don't know what I'm
4:04 going to talk about but that's all right
4:07 that's how we do it here we wing it
4:09 evening Irregulars present Turtles llas
4:13 hedgehogs unleash the zoo maybe that's
4:16 the new saying unleash the zoo unleash
4:18 the
4:20 zoo carry on rather carry on pip pip
4:28 cheerio um
4:31 let's see please pin Kyle what
4:34 is the D- ID announcement
4:37 please all right I can show you
4:41 that it was uh well it is it was it is
4:46 they they released a new product I don't
4:48 know if they released it they sneak
4:49 peaked it and then if we if you're on
4:51 the announcement you got access to it
4:55 it's called personalized
4:58 video and think think of it as mail
5:01 merge for
5:03 video so if I if I record like
5:08 a hey Bob been a while since we've
5:12 talked how's Sally and the kids all
5:15 right let's talk if I record that
5:19 video I can then in the transcript of
5:22 that video declare Bob is a variable and
5:25 how Sally and the kids is a variable and
5:28 then have a spreadsheet of a bunch of
5:29 other people with their first name and
5:33 the personal salutation to them or the
5:36 the personal topic to talk about and it
5:39 will automatically make all those videos
5:41 and then send them an
5:42 email with with the thumbnail of the
5:45 video of me talking to
5:48 them and and you can hook it to um hair
5:52 growth geek from in here I don't know if
5:53 she's in here right now but um I talked
5:56 to her today and she said after last
5:58 night she hooked it to her
6:00 they've got like the part of their sales
6:02 funnel or part of their part of
6:04 something in their funnel is a form and
6:07 people fill out the form and so rather
6:09 than sending them back an email she's
6:11 now sending them a video of her going
6:13 hey thanks for checking in based on
6:17 based on the fact that you have a
6:18 receding hairline and are you know a man
6:22 over 60 or whatever like I don't know
6:24 what her form is but she's taken the
6:27 inputs of those forms and then she talks
6:31 to them and she said she's been getting
6:34 emails back of people going thank you so
6:36 much for taking the time to to send me
6:39 that email so I don't think they're
6:42 particularly realistic I think they're a
6:43 little uncanny valley right now but it's
6:46 pretty slick it's pretty slick makes it
6:51 easy so that's that a human being hey
6:54 hey good
6:56 evening good evening good people good
6:59 good good very nice good to see
7:02 you holy blank am I late how late am I
7:06 you're not steo we just start I got a
7:08 little early the dog got rambunctious he
7:10 started singing early I'm like ah I'll
7:12 just we'll just start
7:17 jamming sang a song and a half and he
7:19 got bored he's usually good for about
7:21 three4 of a song maybe a song and change
7:26 I don't think he's ever gone two full
7:27 songs he just get bored he's bored he's
7:29 like yeah I'm
7:31 good he can't not sing why I have my
7:36 teeth what yeah Excuse me while I do
7:39 some personal
7:42 grooming well welcome to the manscaping
7:45 show oh wait is this oh this is the AI
7:47 learning lab dang it I always get those
7:49 two mixed up um as as evidence by my
7:54 lovely
7:58 haird
8:00 oh would I please demo D- ID I will
8:09 absolutely I'll show you a couple of
8:13 things cuz there
8:15 are there are a number of things I'm
8:18 it's so D- ID and hey Jen are kind of
8:23 not kind of they are Avatar making
8:26 competitors Synthesia is another one I
8:30 don't really use Synthesia Synthesia I I
8:33 used a lot but it seems like ha
8:36 jens's got the quality thing but D- IDs
8:40 got some other some other things oh and
8:43 it was by the way the the announcement
8:45 was hay Jen if there was a D- ID well
8:48 there was okay so these two are
8:52 confusing because they're they're very
8:53 similar
8:54 products haen is the one that has the
8:57 the they're calling it personalized
9:00 video that was a thing that was
9:01 announced
9:02 yesterday last week or no earlier this
9:05 week D- announced realtime
9:10 avatars which
9:12 is like you create a chat application
9:15 and someone types questions and then you
9:17 talk to
9:19 them so that's coming I signed up for
9:21 the wait list for that I don't I don't
9:23 think I got on that but I can demo both
9:25 of those but I'll show you I'll show you
9:27 some products I put together for my comp
9:29 Story
9:31 vine that leverage this technology and
9:34 it's it's pretty
9:36 slick let me go what do I want to do
9:41 here where's
9:44 my did Edge just quit on me or did I not
9:48 relaunch it I don't think I relaunched
9:53 it yeah there we
9:58 go
10:00 46 tabs restore all tabs yes I am a tab
10:04 hoarder hi my name is Kyle I'm a tab
10:07 hoard
10:08 Haka I currently have 82 tabs open on my
10:12 browser I haven't restarted my machine
10:14 in 36 Days oh yeah been there been there
10:19 curious Kyle what are you drinking apple
10:20 juice in fact you are correct ding ding
10:23 ding ding ding you can
10:27 make fantastic digital Danny you got it
10:31 a lovely cider with crushed ice which I
10:33 love the crushed ice in the apple cider
10:35 it's like a little
10:39 Slurpee I just to God I got the [ __ ]
10:43 the [ __ ] emotional [ __ ] reality of
10:46 a
10:47 [Laughter]
10:54 12-year-old all right let me get logged
10:56 in
10:57 here problem with Crush
11:05 [Music]
11:07 life oh boy I got to do
11:17 this did you hear
11:19 that someone trained someone trained a
11:24 large language model or whatever a
11:27 Transformer model
11:30 um so if you type your password on a
11:34 MacBook Pro based on the sound of your
11:37 keys it can guess your
11:39 password it's like it's like the the uh
11:43 Hacker's going to hack man but it's
11:45 getting getting crazy out there oh
11:50 man Salon demo where's my email here we
11:56 go I don't think I need my email open
11:59 but you know just have it you know how
12:00 you log into a couple of things first
12:02 that's what I'm doing just bear with me
12:04 we'll get there we'll get there
12:06 people cool your
12:09 jets go confirm whether it's me I'll be
12:12 go confirm whether it's me I'll be right
12:14 back all
12:16 right I'm in
12:19 fantastic oh I came up with a name for
12:21 my new product for my company I'm really
12:23 excited about
12:27 that stay away from the coffee never
12:31 never look double
12:34 fisted they are slightly slightly
12:37 different colored brown
12:53 liquids Silver Fox joined what's up
12:56 Silver Fox what's happening she's silver
12:59 she's a fox yeah Broody Han yeah I'd
13:03 rather leave my tabs up than make a
13:05 bookmark yeah cuz here's the deal with
13:08 the tabs you got to keep it there it's
13:10 having having tabs open is is just like
13:14 saving that box full of [ __ ] from high
13:16 school you're eventually going to make
13:18 that project you were going to in high
13:21 school you eventually
13:24 will Tabs are the same way you will
13:26 eventually go look at that article
13:30 about quantum
13:33 mechanics and
13:35 the and the time space continuum you
13:39 will you'll eventually do it yes I
13:42 always have at least three different
13:44 beverages around me exactly I've got and
13:47 then I this is this is I think three
13:50 days old so it's like if it's a day old
13:53 I'll drink it but 3 days old no that's
13:55 that's just Dusty stale water so that'll
13:58 sit there for a week or or too um Tabs
14:01 are my laptop's whiteboard exactly
14:05 exactly and you know what's [ __ ] up is
14:07 you get well I um you you kind of know
14:11 where the things are you know there's a
14:13 good tab like 3/4 of the way down and so
14:16 you just look for the colored Tab and
14:18 then if you accidentally close something
14:20 or go to a different page it totally
14:22 [ __ ] you up cuz you're like I know it's
14:23 in here
14:25 somewhere and you could just type it in
14:28 but no
14:32 oh my goodness my goodness gracious
14:37 um all right so I'll demo I'll demo some
14:40 some ha Jen stuff some D D- ID stuff but
14:44 I think what I'll do is I'll start out
14:45 I'll show you I'll show you some of the
14:47 things that I've built for Story
14:49 vine um including this new thing that
14:53 that
14:54 um that we've built that uh is really
14:58 cool and we have a cool name for it now
15:00 so I'm excited about that trying to
15:03 think if I should share it or
15:06 not the name I think I'm I'll hold on to
15:09 the name
15:11 cuz names are
15:13 weird but I like
15:15 it all
15:18 right is this
15:21 [Music]
15:23 it yep that's it okay that's
15:27 that check out
15:30 workana or at least group
15:32 tabs you can figure it
15:37 out well I have here's here's my problem
15:40 with group tabs Pate is that you have to
15:43 maintain the groups and so I end up with
15:46 some groups that just end up being
15:48 another hoarding of tabs and then other
15:52 groups just I I just Chang the sites cuz
15:55 I I'm not diligent about changing tabs
15:58 before I change the site that I'm on I
16:00 just like type [ __ ] in and then it's
16:03 group I like group tabs a lot
16:05 conceptually but again now that we have
16:07 ai someone needs to create the whole
16:09 ADHD Suite that just sort of learns your
16:13 [ __ ] and goes I got you buddy well we'll
16:15 we'll take care of this the ones you the
16:17 ones you haven't looked at in three
16:19 weeks we're just going to go ahead and
16:21 sneak those on out of there if you need
16:23 them back we'll have them somewhere and
16:26 then yeah we'll group some other things
16:27 we'll dynamically sort the important
16:29 [ __ ] to the top it something like that
16:31 and and do that with all of my my
16:34 desktop apparently someone did do that
16:37 with with desktop file management I saw
16:39 that someone just came up with a uh like
16:42 like three weeks ago an AI that that
16:45 automatically sorts your desktop files
16:49 perplexity wrote an outstanding
16:50 complaint letter today it now's allow it
16:52 now allows uploading of photos oh that's
16:54 awesome Nancy all right I'll go check
16:55 that out I um I say this weekly I gotta
17:01 get into perplexity but I just don't
17:04 it's just I it's like it's not the kind
17:05 of work I do
17:07 so you know when you're doing that
17:10 creative work you want the fancier Scher
17:12 you know creative type
17:15 things it's funny every everyone's
17:17 always like um chat BT hallucinates it
17:20 it it's not very precise and I'm like
17:22 yeah that's a good thing when you're
17:23 trying to do creative stuff like it's
17:26 good it's like hallucinate is it's
17:29 called it's called being
17:31 creative but other people are like it's
17:33 that precise what are we going to
17:36 do I don't
17:38 know do [ __ ] that doesn't require
17:43 Precision yay I love this man's content
17:46 thank
17:47 you there there's there's to be clear
17:50 there's no content yet it's just me it's
17:53 just me babbling like a [ __ ] idiot so
17:57 far it's like it's you know what this is
17:59 very close to it's similar to standup uh
18:02 without the jokes or the
18:06 laughs well I laugh at
18:09 myself it's it's a standup comedian's uh
18:13 faux PA don't laugh at your own
18:17 jokes most of the jokes I'm laughing at
18:19 are in my head by the
18:23 way you don't get the P privilege of
18:25 hearing a lot of
18:26 those okay
18:30 um all right I use chat GPT to write a
18:32 poem it went viral on our local park run
18:36 oh that's super
18:38 cool and and so
18:40 Emily Emily I'm curious if I assume you
18:45 didn't tell them you you wrote it with a
18:47 AI right or did you I'm curious like
18:51 like one of the things that I've been
18:53 thinking a lot about lately
18:55 is like I I think it's unless you're
18:59 trying to get something over on
19:02 someone does it really [ __ ] matter if
19:04 it was written by AI like why does that
19:07 matter if I'm a human being and I
19:10 generate something with AI and I put it
19:12 out in the
19:13 world if I wrote it with Microsoft Word
19:16 I don't need to declare that this is a
19:18 Microsoft Word
19:21 product I used gramarly to make sure
19:24 that I didn't have any boo boos in here
19:27 hope you all know that I'm not this good
19:29 at the English
19:31 language like we don't do that this
19:35 image was retouched in
19:37 photosop who cares no
19:40 one same [ __ ] I get it I get it I know I
19:44 know it's I know I know I get it
19:48 mansplain per perplexity please that's
19:53 this this channel is mansplaining as a
19:56 service Kyle tell us something you don't
19:58 know about absolutely let's go um
20:02 perplexity is is somewhere I don't
20:05 [Applause]
20:07 know it's somewhere between a chat GPT
20:10 and a search
20:11 engine and it does kind of chat GPT like
20:14 things with citations to links out to
20:16 the things that it's answering um I
20:20 haven't quite gred it because uh now we
20:24 can't even say grock something without
20:26 it sounding like Elon musk's [ __ ]
20:28 thing damn it
20:29 um I haven't quite understood it cuz I
20:32 just it it's got use cases that I don't
20:34 do a lot of so like I went there kind of
20:37 expecting it to be chat GPT and it's
20:40 more like a search engine and it's more
20:42 like research but then other people go
20:43 oh no it's it's it's this amazing thing
20:46 it does all this [ __ ] so I don't know I
20:47 just haven't learned it I don't know I
20:50 do not
20:54 na okay so so I'm going to show you
20:59 um a new tool that I built for storyvine
21:02 so storyvine if you don't know um
21:03 welcome my name is Kyle Shannon hey
21:05 everybody um this is the AI learning lab
21:08 we had some requests early on for me to
21:11 demo um D- ID and hey Jen which are both
21:14 kind of similar kind of tools and I
21:16 figured what I'd do first is I'd show
21:18 you some of the new products that I'm
21:20 I'm building into my company so my my
21:22 company Story vine does automated video
21:25 storytelling oddly enough it doesn't use
21:27 AI to do
21:29 automation we've been around for 11 and
21:31 A2 years and I've spent pretty much the
21:35 last year like really just thinking
21:38 about all of the [ __ ] I'm learning about
21:41 with AI and like how do I do I do I just
21:46 flush my current company down the toilet
21:49 and start over do do I just pretend that
21:53 these are two separate things and never
21:55 the twain shall meet um or or do I I
21:58 find a way to integrate them and and I
22:01 it's it's taken me a year but but in the
22:03 past two weeks I've figured I figured it
22:05 out and I'm really excited about it so
22:08 I'm going to share you show you some of
22:10 that and then I'll show you how I did
22:11 some of the the
22:13 sexier uh did and hey Jen stuff which
22:16 I'll show you but but even the uh the
22:19 the uh the thing I'm about to show you
22:21 is pretty sexy it's it's relatively
22:22 straightforward Tech but it's just it's
22:24 just magical so let's go let's do this
22:27 people - yes all right we will do that
22:32 fantastic we love this implementation
22:35 group Master Salon AI fantastic Bob I
22:39 was wondering you can make money
22:44 [Music]
22:47 with there you know what's funny no Kyle
22:50 what please for the love of God say
22:53 [Laughter]
22:57 something oh
22:59 in case in in case you you haven't
23:03 guessed it I have this rebellious streak
23:06 and there's there's a part of me right
23:08 now that's just like just keep talking
23:10 never demo anything just keep saying
23:12 you're about to start but never do
23:15 it I've got this sort of sick rebellious
23:19 side that's just like yeah [ __ ] him
23:21 string them
23:22 [Laughter]
23:25 along
23:26 oh man
23:33 did you ask chat GPT what to do with
23:34 Story vine many
23:37 times in fact I asked chat
23:40 GPT
23:42 um I did a whole naming thing today with
23:44 chat
23:45 GPT and then I came up with um two or
23:49 three different
23:50 names no yeah three different names that
23:53 I sent to my
23:54 co-founder and then she called me back
23:56 and said well that's not how we do
23:58 branding we got a we've got a we got a
24:00 brand framework let's go do that so I
24:02 was like oh yeah
24:04 that back to the rebel side she goes she
24:07 goes you know you know our naming
24:09 strategy right I was like I make [ __ ] up
24:11 and then hope you like
24:17 it pathological demanded avoidance
24:21 exactly
24:27 cam yeah it it
24:32 happens but it does like there's
24:34 something about it tonight it's giving
24:36 me joy it's it's it's not good it's not
24:40 it's it's not
24:41 nice
24:43 uh it's entertaining me which is it's
24:46 got to be driving you guys [ __ ] crazy
24:48 but we'll get there we we will get there
24:50 I promis I promis Le I got grammarly on
24:54 the
24:55 brain um yeah so heard a tech futurist
24:59 predict we're hit we're sitting on 14
25:01 Tech Transformations bigger than the
25:05 internet that's probably about right I I
25:07 mean
25:10 it's I mean I think generative
25:14 AI I think generative AI is the is the
25:19 gateway
25:21 to well I'm I'm calling it The Great
25:23 Renaissance but I think it's it's the
25:25 gateway to like just an insane explosion
25:28 creativity in scientific breakthroughs
25:30 and medical breakthroughs and just you
25:32 know big problem
25:34 solving um potentially political
25:38 breakthroughs if we can get out of our
25:39 own way but I don't I think I think we
25:41 are demonstrating quite clearly we can't
25:44 do that so we'll just let that one be a
25:48 lost cause for a bit we we'll wait for
25:50 lunatick to to lunatick and Alexander
25:53 Hamilton to to team up and go fix some
25:57 [ __ ] um I can remember when PDA was
26:00 personal digital assist assistant that's
26:02 really funny
26:10 uh oh Kyle uh FYI Gary Gman new standup
26:14 on HBO Max oh that's awesome Ted yeah I
26:17 think i' I've been seeing some more of
26:19 him on Tik Tok so I figured it was a new
26:21 special because he looks older he
26:22 doesn't look like young Gary Goldman he
26:24 looks he looks like you know like he's
26:27 uh he's of the AG he should be so I will
26:30 check that out all right please hit the
26:34 gold word gold button for my coworker
26:38 watching Oh you mean you mean this one
26:41 Joy you can make money
26:45 with so for the benefit of your coworker
26:49 um this is well this started as an
26:52 inside joke now it's a branding element
26:54 for the channel but but the the basic
26:57 the basic premise of this is all of
27:00 those stupid [ __ ] Tik Tok channels
27:02 where where someone's like in your face
27:03 going you can make money
27:05 Char I got the perfect pound for you and
27:07 then you can make money
27:09 what and then they they those people
27:11 always say chat GTP I I there are times
27:15 I want to throw my phone at the [ __ ]
27:16 wall it's like on their screen it's in
27:19 the right order and then they say
27:24 GTP but
27:26 anyway the reason those people drive me
27:29 nuts is that it's not about making money
27:32 with chat GPT chat GPT is just a [ __ ]
27:36 tool now it happens to be the most
27:40 profoundly powerful tool in the history
27:41 of humanity but other than that let's
27:44 not let let that you know little detail
27:47 stop us here how you make money with
27:49 chat gbt is you figure out a problem to
27:52 solve and then you solve it with chat
27:55 gbt but it's the problem that you're
27:57 solving that is what people pay money
27:59 for not the stupid [ __ ] tool this
28:02 tool is not the
28:04 strategy so this you can make
28:08 money makes me
28:10 insane and so that's th this channel is
28:13 hopefully the antidote to that
28:17 attitude and then but and then people
28:19 ask but Kyle like how do you make money
28:21 with chat gbt and that's I like you're
28:24 it's very easy but you're not going to
28:26 like the answer the answer is
28:28 solve someone's
28:30 problem help entrepreneurs get their
28:33 business off the ground faster
28:36 um help your local community group do do
28:40 something I figure out something to do
28:43 with your business you know make project
28:46 management more efficient what like
28:48 where's your big pain point in your life
28:49 where you're like you know I could do
28:51 something about that then go do
28:53 something about
28:55 that and then figure out which AI tools
28:58 of the
29:01 8,422 really good tools are the ones I'm
29:04 going to use haven't listed the left
29:07 this much in a while well that's good
29:10 Danny I hope I
29:12 [Laughter]
29:16 think oh those [ __ ] idiots there's
29:19 this one
29:20 dude he is just insufferable and I keep
29:23 saying I'm like don't follow don't show
29:25 me him and then sure enough he's like
29:28 a biggest thing just happened in cha I'm
29:31 like oh my God shut
29:34 up I can't flick fast
29:38 enough I I've strained my my like three
29:41 muscles in my hand trying to flick past
29:43 this
29:47 guy they keep showing him to me I I
29:50 think my my my my rage they must be me
29:54 measuring like my pupils dilating or
29:56 something like that every time his video
29:57 comes on they're like oh he really likes
29:59 this
30:01 one his face turned a different color
30:04 let's show him more of
30:07 that son of a
30:09 [Laughter]
30:13 [ __ ] all right any any word on the
30:16 open AI store yet Beyond after the New
30:18 Year of course no there there was a
30:20 rumor that it was going to be out this
30:21 week but I didn't I didn't I didn't
30:24 think that was going to happen it when
30:27 they fired Sam ultman I think that that
30:30 gummed up the works for a lot of things
30:32 including Ye Old uh chat GPT store I'm
30:35 going to go lunar stick
30:42 is it'll probably it's probably going to
30:45 go like this chat GPT is going to launch
30:48 their store it's going to make some big
30:52 splash three weeks later Google's going
30:55 to launch Gemini Ultra and then it's
30:58 going to be a mix of oh my God it's the
30:59 best thing ever and oh that's
31:03 disappointing and then three weeks after
31:06 that open AI is either going to announce
31:09 or release something that's
31:12 big that's gonna like like no one's
31:15 caught up to chat GPT yet and like
31:17 Google's just about to do it right
31:19 they're just about to launch this thing
31:21 not quite ready yet maybe it'll be there
31:23 by the new year we don't know and so I
31:26 think they're going to launch it and
31:27 then because because there was all this
31:30 controversy with their with their video
31:33 where they you know it was it was too
31:35 marketing ye and they faked some [ __ ] I
31:39 think people are going to really
31:40 scrutinize the [ __ ] out of Gemini so
31:42 you're going to get you're going to get
31:43 like a mixed bag of reviews some people
31:45 going oh it's amazing other people going
31:47 yeah it's a piece of
31:48 [ __ ] and then I think open AI Will Will
31:51 trump that with something with something
31:53 big but we'll see I I mean open a may
31:56 now slow things down a bit so maybe we
31:59 don't see anything until summer but
32:01 that's my that's my that's my sense okay
32:05 so let me show you this thing so like I
32:06 said my company Story vine it's a it's a
32:08 video storytelling platform we do a lot
32:10 of work in healthcare and
32:12 Pharma and so we create a template for a
32:16 specific story and then we've got this
32:18 app the story Vine app that guides
32:21 someone step by step through telling
32:22 their story so think of it like karaoke
32:24 for storytelling there's a little dotted
32:26 outline put your head here in the frame
32:29 and then introduce yourself talk about
32:31 what it was like to be diagnosed with
32:32 that horrible disease talk about how
32:34 you're treating it talk about your hopes
32:35 and dreams for the future and so people
32:38 answer those questions that goes up to
32:39 the cloud and then 5 minutes later
32:41 you've got this fully edited video okay
32:44 powerful platform we're really trusted
32:47 in the Pharma space in particular
32:49 because we can make authentic true user
32:52 generated content professional enough
32:55 and predictable enough that we can get
32:57 it through regulatory approval so it's
32:59 slick it's it's a good thing but in the
33:02 end what you get out of it is just a
33:04 video and so you have to know what to do
33:06 with that video and you have to you know
33:08 have a video strategy and a and a
33:11 strategy for where you're going to put
33:12 it and then maybe your agency is going
33:14 to leverage those assets and things like
33:16 that and
33:18 so so I so what you're looking at here
33:21 is is has been a year in the making
33:22 where I've been thinking about this all
33:24 year and and sort of [ __ ] around with
33:26 little pieces of it we finally built it
33:28 so what we've got here is once you've
33:30 got that video once you've got that
33:32 Narrative of someone authentically
33:34 telling their story how can we amplify
33:37 that so what you
33:40 do is you go grab a
33:49 [Music]
33:52 VI and then this system goes to work
33:56 picking it apart and analyzing it so
33:58 there's our video and it it'll play it
34:00 there and you can watch it this is from
34:01 a a nonprofit here in Colorado called
34:04 tough as a mother really cool campaign
34:06 about mothers and Recovery um that's
34:09 these the videos that I'm sh sharing
34:10 here are already shared publicly so uh
34:12 I'm not I'm not sharing anything that
34:14 that isn't already out there um so
34:18 there's your transcript so it inst in
34:20 instantly generates a transcript and
34:21 then you see it's doing some more work
34:23 down here so what it's now doing is it's
34:26 chaptering the video and then over here
34:28 to the left it now wrote the title of
34:31 the video the description of the video
34:33 key messages in the video and then
34:36 shortly here we'll see here are the
34:38 chapters of the video so here are the
34:39 narrative segments of what this woman
34:43 talked about realization for needing
34:45 help personal changes during recovery
34:48 gratitude and apology right so you
34:51 immediately now know what's in this
34:53 video the other thing that we do is a
34:57 big part of story Vine's product is
35:01 these things called video guides so the
35:03 video guide is that recipe that that the
35:06 series of prompts that someone answers
35:08 to tell the story so we reverse engineer
35:11 the story that she told to generate a
35:14 set of prompts that are like Story vine
35:16 prompts of you know what are the kinds
35:18 of questions you could ask someone else
35:21 if you wanted them to tell this
35:23 story um so so that's pretty slick and
35:27 then if you jump if you click on any of
35:29 the chapters it jumps you to that part
35:31 of the
35:31 video in service and so that's pretty
35:35 slick and then if we flip over here to
35:37 the content generation Tab and I say
35:39 generate all now it's going to take the
35:43 you know all of the what the story's
35:46 about from that first screen and it's
35:48 going to generate ancillary content from
35:50 that so A Blog post Twitter posts
35:53 hashtags
35:55 quotes um and it's it's it's pretty
35:57 quick like and the the the hashtags here
36:00 recovery Journey sobriety resilience
36:03 transformation healthy choices Life
36:04 Changes Community Support thankfulness
36:07 hard beauty is the company she started
36:10 Colorado Springs so so a set of hashtags
36:13 specific to that story right really
36:16 powerful and then Twitter posts that um
36:18 actually quote things that she said and
36:20 then here are pull quotes let's see the
36:23 biggest change in my recovery has been
36:25 me the way that I the the way that I
36:27 think the way that I speak the people I
36:30 surround myself with everything that I
36:33 put into or onto my body um I think
36:36 about it before I do it that's a huge
36:38 change right amazing right so so what
36:42 would take an
36:44 agency you know a couple of days or a
36:47 couple of weeks or a couple of months
36:48 depending on how efficient they are to
36:50 do to generate all this it's now done
36:55 instantly um the blog post post blows me
36:58 away every time cuz it's it we we we
37:01 prompted this we prompted this in in
37:04 such a way that it it follows the rules
37:08 of Pharma companies so it doesn't say
37:10 things out of bounds but it also writes
37:12 it like a like a a magazine interview in
37:16 the quiet town of Colorado Springs
37:18 Tiffany the founder of of this company
37:22 recounts the tale of personal
37:24 transformation that is as harrowing as
37:26 it is in spiring a mother on a path to
37:28 recovery she's bravely chosen to share
37:30 her story shedding light to the
37:32 struggles that many face in silence and
37:35 then in in quote quoting her the moment
37:38 I knew I needed help was the moment I
37:39 was resting my head on a toilet at work
37:41 Tiffany recalls and it's just it's just
37:43 a well-written story and it's every time
37:45 it does it it blows me away so so anyway
37:49 so that's our new product very excited
37:51 about that and
37:54 then this okay so some someone asked
37:57 about hey Jen and D- ID and they wanted
38:00 to see demos of that so let me show you
38:01 the outputs like let me let me show you
38:04 some productized things that leverage
38:07 some of that technology and some other
38:08 Technologies but but what what this
38:11 stuff makes possible now
38:13 so the story Vine product is this
38:17 modular we capture stories in this
38:19 modular way so I can now take those
38:22 modules and and this is a
38:25 translation product that that we've
38:28 created and I can start with the English
38:32 segment a source of support living with
38:34 ratard arthritis has been um speaking
38:37 with other people about what they've
38:40 gone through uh reading a lot about the
38:43 effects of ratard arthritis lunatick if
38:47 if you're not already tap into the
38:48 Florida Market that's a good good thing
38:51 everybody say hey hey bear or share bear
38:53 what's up Sher bear welcome welcome okay
38:56 so that's Ellen speaking English um
38:59 that's her her uh the one of the
39:01 segments from her video and then here
39:04 she is speaking
39:20 Spanish so her voice her mouth rein to
39:25 the language the translation
39:27 um and then I can because we've done
39:29 this in a modular way not only can I
39:31 translate the video I can also translate
39:34 all of the graphics so that they are in
39:36 Spanish as well so here's what what a
39:39 finished video might look
39:41 [Music]
39:52 [Music]
39:55 like
40:01 so pretty amazing stuff and then um I
40:04 can take any of those translated videos
40:06 put them back into that content
40:09 generation tool and it'll generate all
40:11 that content in that language so so
40:15 that's one product and that's that's a
40:17 combination of hey Jen and I think two
40:20 or three other different different
40:22 products that that make that
40:25 possible including some Vine technology
40:27 and then I can do that now in 27
40:30 different languages so here's Ellen
40:31 speaking
40:33 [Music]
40:42 [Music]
40:45 Hindi right and notice well you can't
40:48 really see it but the lower third is in
40:49 Hindi here and then here's Ellen
40:51 speaking
40:55 Japanese
41:00 so that's translation so that's pretty
41:02 mind-blowing so let's keep the
41:04 mind-blowing going this is now is this
41:07 the
41:09 ID or hey Jen I think this is D- ID okay
41:13 so this is if you've got a story in
41:16 audio but you don't have a video and you
41:18 want to you want to make a video because
41:20 everyone wants video now I can now take
41:22 an audio of Ellen
41:25 speaking I can take a photo aaph of her
41:28 stylize that into like a drawing or a
41:30 watercolor or something like that and
41:32 then bring that to life my greatest
41:34 source of support living with rheumatoid
41:36 arthritis has been um speaking with
41:40 other people about what they've gone
41:42 through uh reading a lot about the
41:45 effects of rheumatoid
41:46 arthritis uh and then I can even even if
41:51 I don't have a recording of her if I
41:53 just have a text story of her but I've
41:55 got a recording of her talking and I
41:57 have her permission obviously I can make
41:59 a model of her voice and just create a
42:02 video out of text a text only story hi
42:05 I'm Ellen despite living with rheumatoid
42:08 arthritis I've discovered a passion for
42:10 water skiing and interpretive dance
42:12 which bring joy and a sense of freedom
42:14 to my
42:16 life the water skiing an interpretive
42:19 dance that was my idea uh and then
42:21 finally I can I can take if we don't
42:24 have a real person at all we can create
42:26 a persona and bring that Persona to hi
42:28 I'm George Miller my life's always been
42:30 about Simple Pleasures cooking my Catch
42:33 of the Day and enjoying the quiet of the
42:35 country there's nothing like the piece
42:37 of fishing at dawn or the aroma of a
42:39 home-cooked meal but when I was
42:42 diagnosed diabetes everything changed
42:45 suddenly the foods I Lov Meed rethinking
42:48 and my days had to be planned with care
42:50 it was a challenge but I've learned to
42:52 adapt finding new ways to enjoy my
42:54 passions while managing my health
42:57 life's different now but no less
43:00 Rich Emily interpretive dance is my love
43:03 language I know I thought I wanted to
43:05 put something that that someone with
43:08 rheumatoid arthritis at that age
43:10 probably wouldn't do or like
43:11 interpretive dance she might do but but
43:14 the water skiing so water skiing and
43:15 interpretive dance just seemed like two
43:17 activities that you would never hear
43:19 cuno Kyle this is a home run um we knew
43:22 you went I I'm I'm I'm really excited
43:24 about this I mean
43:27 I've been I've been I'm 11 and a half
43:29 years into this [ __ ] company like so
43:31 I I've seen it all and you know the the
43:34 the shine is a bit off the technology
43:37 and I haven't been this excited about
43:40 the company in a long time because this
43:42 is this is there's something here here's
43:44 his
43:45 doctor hello I'm Dr Emily Park as an
43:49 endrocrinologist specializing in
43:51 diabetes my Approach goes beyond
43:52 traditional treatment I'm deeply
43:55 committed to empowering my Pati
43:57 integrating Med so the the the
44:00 technology here it's D did does the
44:02 animation but the audio is actually an
44:05 11 Labs tool called Speech to speech I
44:08 actually recorded the audio for both of
44:11 these guys for for George Miller big fat
44:15 Santa here and Emily Park I recorded the
44:19 audio and then swapped out the voice so
44:23 the the tech the tech here is is crazy
44:26 um and and you know again a year ago
44:29 this this really wasn't in
44:31 the in the cards to do at at you know a
44:36 commercial level and it's it's there now
44:39 and it's it's it's pretty amazing so
44:41 okay so how do you do all this
44:44 [ __ ]
44:46 [Laughter]
44:47 [Music]
44:50 um that is not what I want that's not
44:53 what I want let's
44:55 see um
45:00 we'll go to D- ID first D-
45:04 ID and then let me run over to chat
45:11 [Music]
45:17 GPT hey Kyle why you sing like that you
45:20 trying to chase people away yeah maybe I
45:23 am your big poo poo
45:25 head de uh sir yes uh I was inquiring I
45:29 was wondering uh Mr Shannon it is Mr
45:32 Shannon yes yes yes yes yes yes I was
45:34 wondering sir uh by chance uh what are
45:38 your
45:40 qualifications I'm sorry yes yes I was
45:43 just
45:43 wondering you seem to be on the channel
45:46 here acting very Professor if I if I may
45:50 and excuse me I was just wondering uh by
45:54 chance uh what are your
45:56 qualifications oh dear sir my my
45:59 goodness I I uh I have none I I I will
46:02 be the first to admit I I have no
46:05 qualifications I'm just here acting like
46:07 an idiot and uh yeah this is what we do
46:10 this is what we do rather well uh that
46:13 is uh that's very bold of you sir very
46:16 bold indeed very bold all right carrying
46:20 on and
46:22 scene
46:25 um
46:29 say hi to the family for me this is the
46:32 guy you've been watching for
46:33 [Laughter]
46:37 weeks an Edna it's you will learn
46:40 something eventually no he sometimes
46:42 he'll teach you something all right
46:44 anybody know the site where I can
46:46 transcript a video from
46:49 YouTube yeah
46:51 YouTube you know every every video on
46:55 YouTube is transcribed cribed right did
46:57 you know that
47:04 watch let's see if we've got a new David
47:06 Shapiro video here we do oh it's two
47:09 weeks old but anyway you should follow
47:11 David Shapiro my father found at St Jude
47:13 Children's Research Hospital because he
47:16 believed no child should die in the dawn
47:18 of life in 1984 we have a lot to look
47:21 forward to in AI in
47:24 2024 10 things not looking forward to
47:28 all right for any video on YouTube go to
47:31 the description and click on
47:33 more here wait let me make it bigger so
47:35 you can see
47:40 it click on
47:43 more and then somewhere in here it says
47:46 transcript and you say show
47:48 transcript and then you just go copy it
47:52 and and watch you want to see something
47:53 cool well yeah Kyle that's why we're
47:55 here you dum
47:57 dum I told you I have no
48:01 qualifications thought I made that clear
48:05 okay let's go to should we go to chat J
48:09 or let's go to Claud I I use Claud for
48:12 this because I like how they handle so I
48:15 just copy I don't know how long that
48:16 video was wait let's we can find out
48:18 can't we oh no all right where already
48:25 gone
48:28 okay so if I go paste so it says pasted
48:33 content
48:35 37k 701 extracted lines so it's got the
48:41 transcript of that David Shapiro video
48:43 there so I'm going to
48:45 say
48:48 please um
48:51 please
48:53 summarize this video
48:58 transcript in a short
49:02 Punchy
49:06 paragraph
49:08 followed
49:11 by
49:13 um bullet point
49:17 bullet points and I'm going to go
49:20 parentheses 7 to 10 words each and I do
49:24 that just because um
49:28 sometimes it'll just make really long
49:29 bullet points like if I want bullet
49:31 points I have ADD I'm like just I like I
49:34 I don't need the [ __ ] flowery Pros
49:36 okay
49:39 okay um of the um key ideas
49:46 key ideas in the video boom and so now
49:51 it's going to go off and think about it
49:53 and now we will know what this video is
49:55 about without having to watch
49:57 David this is what's freaking people out
50:00 it's like you know and here it is here's
50:02 the summary Elon Musk criticizes
50:04 potential issues with AI in 2024 well
50:07 it's not Elon Musk but that's okay he he
50:09 must have talked about Elon um AI Cults
50:13 us China tensions lethal autonomous
50:15 weapons so election Bots and deep fakes
50:17 emergence of AI worship Cults rise of
50:20 you oh this is the thing he's not
50:21 excited about yeah so if you want to get
50:23 depressed go watch that video so there
50:26 you go um so yeah that's the best way to
50:29 get a YouTube transcript is from YouTube
50:31 now if you want to do it some other way
50:33 then you have to find um YouTube
50:36 downloading websites or YouTube
50:38 downloading software which is just a
50:41 hornets nest of malware and shitty sales
50:47 funnels for you to buy people's shitty
50:49 software to do stuff that you can do for
50:51 free um so so I would just not do that I
50:56 just go to YouTube and grab the
50:59 transcript okay where were
51:01 we where were we before I was so lovely
51:05 interrupted
51:06 D- rather carry on pip pip okay we're
51:10 going to log in here to D- day the other
51:13 thing about demoing these sites on this
51:16 channel are are we an AI worship cult
51:19 would we even know um you would only
51:21 know if you achieved level 33 which I
51:24 think 16 members did
51:26 last
51:28 Thursday um congratulations to them they
51:32 um understand if this is a cult or not
51:34 no one else does no you shouldn't know
51:36 you should absolutely not know no this
51:38 is not a cult this is a Tik Tok
51:44 channel it's I you know what what this
51:46 actually is is more than a cult it's
51:48 more like it's more like a AI
51:52 Anonymous it's it's it's a support group
51:55 it's like we we're this is a group of
51:59 weirdos so so to put in context where we
52:01 are right now 82% of Americans have not
52:05 used chat BT
52:08 82% that means 18% have of the 18% that
52:14 have how many do you think have used it
52:16 a lot not a
52:19 lot they've probably like oh yeah I used
52:22 that yeah yeah yeah yeah I use I use c
52:23 gbt yeah I'm I'm I'm with of the cool
52:26 kids no so let's let's assume that it's
52:29 less than half right so south of
52:33 10% of people at least in
52:36 America have used this stuff even really
52:39 know what it
52:40 is um so this group you know this this
52:44 channel the people that hang out here
52:45 and then the AI Salon which I'll talk
52:47 about in a bit um are are people who
52:52 are what's what's weird about this AI
52:54 stuff is when you have your first Kevin
52:56 mallister moment
52:58 you're oh my God I didn't know I could
53:01 do
53:02 that you really can't go back from it
53:05 because it's it's not
53:08 like it's not like other software it's
53:12 like be because it's a general purpose
53:14 tool it's called a large language model
53:16 right chat GPT is called a large
53:17 language model it was trained
53:21 on as much of the public internet as
53:23 they could get their hands on so so it's
53:25 it's been trained on what human beings
53:28 have put on the internet for the past 40
53:30 years right so you're actually
53:32 interacting with the output of humanity
53:36 you know some percentage of it that's
53:38 been stuck on the
53:41 internet and it's kind of like you
53:43 instantly gain access to all of their
53:46 knowledge and so if you want to be good
53:49 at coding but you've never written a
53:51 line of python in your life like I
53:54 haven't in 90 minutes you can write a
53:57 fully fun functional python application
53:59 that was my aha moment with this stuff
54:01 last December probably about this time
54:05 of year I was sitting on the couch Gabby
54:09 was watching TV and I was just [ __ ]
54:11 around at GPT and I was like oh this
54:13 thing can probably I heard it can code I
54:16 said write me a line of python and it
54:19 did or write me a script
54:23 whatever and
54:28 within 90 minutes I'd written a fully
54:30 functional application that had API
54:33 calls in it to open AI like it was
54:36 insane and so once you sort of get this
54:40 stuff you're like oh my God I got to
54:42 tell people about it and then you try to
54:43 tell people about it and they're like
54:45 well you're a [ __ ] crazy person what
54:47 are you talking
54:50 about what like what what does it do
54:53 well it's like it's like this box in the
54:55 you type into it and it can it can write
54:57 a poem and they're like okay there's
55:00 been things that wrote poems before no
55:02 but it's different oh how's it different
55:04 like you can't so so this Channel and
55:08 the AI Salon is is where all us
55:11 weirdos that are experimenting with this
55:14 stuff right now can hang out together
55:16 and and share what we're
55:17 learning and and the one the one thing
55:20 that that I talk about a lot in here is
55:23 there are no experts in this like
55:26 there's people that have got more
55:27 experience than others but there are no
55:28 experts because if you were an expert at
55:32 prompting two months ago how you prompt
55:34 today is completely different and how
55:36 you're going to prompt when Google's
55:38 Gemini comes out Gemini Ultra that's a
55:41 true multimodal interface that's got a
55:43 lot more visual [ __ ] in it is going to
55:45 be completely
55:47 different so we're all figuring it out
55:50 every day all the time it's it like just
55:53 this stuff keeps changing and morphing
55:55 and getting better and getting different
55:58 every time I log into one of these sites
55:59 they've changed the interface on it so I
56:02 can't find anything or it's like they've
56:04 added six new features I'm like holy
56:07 [ __ ] so anyway okay so this is D- ID so
56:10 these are a bunch of videos that I've
56:12 made some of them you just watched on on
56:13 my little Story vine thing if you've
56:15 been here for a bit um here's here's
56:17 like a little version of
56:20 me
56:22 doing in a quiet little town where the
56:25 gra kisses the sky lives a 150 lb
56:28 furball with a so that was a little poem
56:32 I had chat gbt right so let's go over to
56:34 chat gbt and have it write something
56:35 we'll say
56:39 um write a short
56:41 paragraph
56:46 about how awesome it is to be hanging
56:49 out with your
56:51 friends on the weekend before
56:54 Christmas a look I'm getting all
57:02 sentimental good
57:05 Lord that's lovely but too long can you
57:08 make it
57:09 shorter this one of the tricks in
57:11 working with chat GPT is just tell it
57:12 what you want if if you don't like what
57:14 it did go no that's bad do it again um
57:17 you can be you don't need to be mean to
57:18 it but you can be you just you can't be
57:21 mean to Microsoft's version of this
57:23 it'll shut you down
57:26 I'm I'm too smarmy for Microsoft I don't
57:29 think I could work there if I can't use
57:31 their [ __ ] chat their chat engine
57:35 um okay so let's see here we go okay so
57:39 we're going to create a new one of these
57:41 things so how you do this here is you
57:45 can use an image you created so these
57:47 were images I created in uh Dolly 3
57:51 they've also got some images you know
57:53 they give you so you can use their
57:55 images but it it really doesn't
57:58 matter everything's a [ __ ] upsell
58:01 isn't
58:01 [Laughter]
58:08 it let's do who do we want do in this
58:11 we'll have George do this all right
58:14 George is gonna do this so I'm gonna go
58:16 over
58:17 here what's this can I get rid of that
58:20 yeah I'm going to paste in my script so
58:22 there's my little
58:23 script here you using a premium voice
58:27 okay and then you basically pick your
58:30 voice so so I can do New
58:33 Zealand or let's see do we have
58:35 Australian
58:39 here English Australia so I don't know
58:43 if we got Drew or steo in here but let's
58:46 go listen to some of the Aussie dudes
58:49 spending the weekend before Christmas
58:50 with friends is
58:54 a
58:58 oh
58:59 wait spending the weekend before
59:04 Christmas spending the weekend before
59:07 Christmas with
59:10 friends spending the weekend before
59:12 Christmas with friends is a heartwarming
59:14 there we go all right so we'll do
59:18 Ken and then that's it so you pick your
59:21 voice you put in your script and then
59:24 you say they generate video Bang and
59:26 it's you know it'll it'll it's going to
59:29 cost me two credits I'm almost out of
59:31 credits you
59:33 people you people listen you people Gen
59:37 X has the wisdom damn straight man this
59:39 is here here's here's we we're entering
59:41 a couple of new phases um one is Revenge
59:44 of the liberal arts major and one is
59:46 Revenge of the Gen xers all right this
59:48 is done
59:50 now spending the weekend before
59:52 Christmas with friends is a heartwarming
59:54 experience
59:55 the festive lights and holiday music
59:57 create a magical backdrop for laughter
59:59 and shared moments whether it's enjoying
1:00:02 warm drinks exchanging gifts or simply
1:00:04 walking through the wintry streets the
1:00:06 joy of friendship enhances the holiday
1:00:08 spirit making these moments truly
1:00:10 Unforgettable so pretty crazy huh you
1:00:13 can also um you can also upload your own
1:00:16 audio so you could record something and
1:00:20 bring that to life and video or you
1:00:22 could even create a a voice model on 11
1:00:26 labs and have 11 Labs generate something
1:00:29 in your voice or someone else's voice
1:00:31 that was how I did Ellen's and then put
1:00:33 that in there as your audio so that's
1:00:35 that's D- ID and then if we go to hey
1:00:40 Jen which is kind of the competitor to
1:00:44 [Laughter]
1:00:46 this accept all cookies hey here's a
1:00:50 question website programmers why do you
1:00:53 ask me if I accept the cookies every
1:00:56 [ __ ] time I go to the site can't you
1:01:00 write a cookie about that I said yes to
1:01:05 cookies I
1:01:08 mean I
1:01:11 hurt okay
1:01:14 um what can you do here so one thing you
1:01:17 can do here is this thing called instant
1:01:22 Avatar hey Kyle Shannon your instant
1:01:25 Avatar is ready feel free to create
1:01:27 videos with it also click the feedback
1:01:29 button to share what you think hope you
1:01:31 enjoy so I uploaded a video of myself
1:01:35 that video of me well I I wasn't saying
1:01:39 that I said it was like a 3 minute video
1:01:40 of me saying something
1:01:42 else can you explain the Revenge of the
1:01:45 Gen xers I really like your ideas oh
1:01:47 thank you um yeah I I'll I'll explain
1:01:49 that um hang on let me yeah yeah let me
1:01:52 explain that now cuz this is probably
1:01:53 getting a little boring but I'll I'll
1:01:54 come back back to this um okay check
1:01:57 your browser
1:02:00 settings yeah so okay listen jenu I
1:02:04 appreciate the sentiment when you're
1:02:06 dealing with neuros spices any
1:02:08 suggestion of like hey dude change your
1:02:11 preferences that doesn't work for
1:02:14 us we change our preferences once every
1:02:17 six months only because we were forced
1:02:19 into a corner or we we got excited about
1:02:22 doing something new and we go in and
1:02:23 change four or five settings all at once
1:02:25 but we can't see the way our brains work
1:02:30 the thought of taking the time to go in
1:02:31 and actually think about our preferences
1:02:35 and because now there's 72 preferences
1:02:37 for every [ __ ] feature in a
1:02:40 browser I I would
1:02:42 rather run naked down the street and
1:02:45 dive and slide on the maadam in the
1:02:48 middle of winter then do that so it's
1:02:52 not going to
1:02:53 happen
1:02:56 okay revenge of the Gen X well so let me
1:02:58 let me tell you about revenge of
1:03:01 the liberal arts major
1:03:06 first in our
1:03:11 current economy at least in America I
1:03:14 don't know globally if this is true but
1:03:16 it's probably in the neighborhood of
1:03:19 true specialization is rewarded right so
1:03:23 specialist phys Physicians make more
1:03:25 than General
1:03:28 docs you know specialty scientists make
1:03:32 the big bucks right you know specialty
1:03:34 specialty specialty
1:03:36 specialty and then you know liberal arts
1:03:40 majers are like good luck with that
1:03:42 Philosophy degree sounds awesome good
1:03:44 you know fantastic monetizing that
1:03:47 that's why the that's why we're all like
1:03:49 coaches and tarot card readers and
1:03:52 creative consultants and things like
1:03:54 that cuz it's like we like there's
1:03:56 nothing there's nothing in the current
1:03:59 economy that you can look at one of our
1:04:02 resumees and go I I literally had a I
1:04:05 had a um a recruiter this was after I I
1:04:09 had started agency.com taking it public
1:04:12 sold it um and I was out of I was I was
1:04:16 out of work for a while after i' sold it
1:04:18 and I was like I got to go do something
1:04:19 again so I I signed up with a head
1:04:22 hunter and I was like working with him
1:04:24 for a week or two and like I wasn't
1:04:27 getting any calls and then he called me
1:04:29 he's like Kyle can you come in I want to
1:04:31 talk to you I was like okay and I came
1:04:34 in he goes he goes listen I just I I
1:04:36 want to go over your resume with you I
1:04:37 mean this thing you did here is really
1:04:39 impressive very I really impress oh
1:04:41 thanks that's this thing you did here
1:04:43 it's very impressive oh oh thanks thanks
1:04:45 this thing you did here I just I don't
1:04:46 even know how you did that very
1:04:48 impressive thanks he get he reads the
1:04:51 whole [ __ ] resume and he goes I can't
1:04:54 do anything with you he's like he's like
1:04:57 there is no through line to this like
1:04:59 there's no one that would know what to
1:05:00 do with you there's no one that would
1:05:02 hire you so so he had me come in to tell
1:05:05 me he wasn't going to work with me I'm
1:05:07 like you could have done that on the
1:05:08 phone [ __ ]
1:05:10 but um
1:05:13 okay so so we so we have that power
1:05:16 Dynamic
1:05:17 now what's happening with generative Ai
1:05:20 and this is this is going to take two or
1:05:22 three years to play out but it's already
1:05:24 starting to happen I'm starting to see
1:05:25 it in this channel
1:05:27 here people that are really good at one
1:05:30 thing because of AI are now good at
1:05:32 another thing and another thing and
1:05:34 another thing and another thing now the
1:05:36 thing they're really good at they're
1:05:37 like 100% worldclass good at and the
1:05:41 [ __ ] that they're good at with AI
1:05:42 they're like 60 to 80% good but if
1:05:46 you're 60 to 80% good at a job you're
1:05:48 probably about as good as a lot of
1:05:51 people right and so
1:05:55 and so so you now have individuals that
1:05:58 can do multiple people's jobs and so
1:06:01 who's going to figure that out
1:06:02 first are generalists and liberal arts
1:06:05 majors and horizontal thinkers people
1:06:08 that can think oh wait okay this is a
1:06:11 good idea but I I need a good song for
1:06:13 that that that kind of sounds like this
1:06:16 and and we need imagery that it can't be
1:06:18 too formal it's got to be loose and
1:06:20 sketchy and you know people that can
1:06:22 think across discipline
1:06:26 because they're going to be working with
1:06:27 people that are increasingly capable so
1:06:29 going from having one or two skills Jane
1:06:32 I need you to work on that project plan
1:06:34 to now Jane can do a bunch of other
1:06:37 stuff so that's kind of the Revenge of
1:06:39 the liberal arts
1:06:42 major the Revenge of the Gen xers is
1:06:45 this because these tools can so
1:06:51 quickly create hold hold please
1:06:54 [Laughter]
1:06:59 oh no what I
1:07:01 do hold just trying to get my dual
1:07:04 camera back all right there we
1:07:08 go moderators please ask him to repeat
1:07:11 his Gen X answer yeah I I was halfway
1:07:14 through
1:07:15 it okay the Gen X thing I'm going to I'm
1:07:18 going to repeat it so if you're still
1:07:20 here um that was that was an add problem
1:07:24 I um I forgot to plug my phone in it's
1:07:26 been like threatening to die all day and
1:07:28 then I started my live without plugging
1:07:29 in my plugging in the phone
1:07:34 so uh sir I ask again uh what are your
1:07:37 qualifications um you're an AV
1:07:40 Specialist you say um yes okay
1:07:48 so if I were to
1:07:53 okay
1:07:56 if I were to start a
1:07:58 company a year
1:08:01 ago one year
1:08:04 ago my strategy for that company would
1:08:08 be I would find a compliment to
1:08:12 myself
1:08:13 so as as Mo'Nique my current co-founder
1:08:16 Mo'Nique and I describe our relationship
1:08:19 is I'm the handwavy guy she keeps the
1:08:21 trains running on time so you know I'm
1:08:24 the Visionary she's the
1:08:26 operator so if I were going to start a
1:08:28 new
1:08:29 company I need I'd need an operator
1:08:32 right so at a minimum so I would I would
1:08:34 want to find someone with good business
1:08:37 and good life experience as my
1:08:40 co-founder and then I would likely
1:08:46 hire or try to recruit maybe a senior
1:08:49 person but probably a fair amount of
1:08:52 Junior people that have some skill
1:08:54 skills right I need someone who can do
1:08:56 some art stuff I need someone who can do
1:08:57 some writing stuff I need right or you
1:09:00 know I create like a a little Bullpen of
1:09:03 people I can go to and because it's a
1:09:06 startup I'm going to you know I I don't
1:09:09 have a lot of money so people that are
1:09:11 starting out are going to cost less than
1:09:13 people that have been in business for 30
1:09:16 years so I would go with I would go with
1:09:18 a team of young people um that have
1:09:22 these different
1:09:23 specialties
1:09:26 well now Along Comes
1:09:28 Ai and it completely changes the
1:09:30 equation for what I would
1:09:34 do I wouldn't really care
1:09:39 about well I I would still care about
1:09:41 having an operator right idea guy
1:09:43 operator I'd still have that
1:09:45 Dynamic but then who would be my startup
1:09:48 people is I would want horizontal
1:09:50 thinking like strategic thinking
1:09:53 horizontal thinking
1:09:54 people that have been on the planet for
1:09:56 a while people with 30 or 40 years
1:09:58 experience in business why because and
1:10:02 but here's here's the requirement they
1:10:05 have to be hungry and and AI literate
1:10:09 like like a lot of the people on this
1:10:11 channel a lot of the people in the AI
1:10:12 Salon are gen xers that were here for
1:10:16 the early days of the worldwide web that
1:10:18 we got we got to experience what it's
1:10:20 like to be at the ground floor of the
1:10:24 runup of a technology that's going to
1:10:25 change the world
1:10:27 right gen xers right now are looking at
1:10:30 a AI going holy [ __ ] the web was
1:10:34 nothing this is completely different so
1:10:38 all the Gen xers that I know that are
1:10:40 even mildly curious about this [ __ ] are
1:10:43 losing their [ __ ] minds and they're
1:10:45 getting curious and they're getting
1:10:47 they're they're like leveling up their
1:10:49 skills here's what gen xers can do when
1:10:51 chat GPT spits something out a gen xer
1:10:54 just by the nature of the fact they've
1:10:56 been on the planet for a while can look
1:10:58 at the output and go oh that's crap
1:11:00 that's good that's crap that's good so
1:11:02 so just by nature of their experience
1:11:05 they're they're much better
1:11:08 curators we're moving into a world where
1:11:11 the content is going to be generated you
1:11:13 know content applications videos music
1:11:16 are going to be generated at such a pace
1:11:19 what you need is people who can look at
1:11:21 it strategically and very very quickly
1:11:23 discern
1:11:24 the [ __ ] from the good
1:11:28 stuff older people are going to be
1:11:30 better at that they just been on the
1:11:32 planet longer I'm actually really
1:11:35 concerned about I don't know where entry
1:11:39 level is anymore cuz cuz in the current
1:11:41 economy entry level is hey young whipper
1:11:45 snapper that just came out of college
1:11:47 glad you got that writing Degree come on
1:11:49 in here to my agency and I'm going to
1:11:51 pay you a crappy salary and we're going
1:11:53 to work your ass off but we're going to
1:11:54 charge a lot of money for you and you
1:11:56 know what you're going to do for 2 years
1:11:58 you're going to write headline copy for
1:12:00 social media
1:12:01 ads and you sit there and you [ __ ]
1:12:03 grind out social media copy for
1:12:06 right okay that's done with by the
1:12:10 machines now that tactical execution
1:12:13 that vertical execution of all that
1:12:16 lower level stuff that's going to be the
1:12:18 [ __ ] that's automated first so where do
1:12:21 young people enter into the workforce if
1:12:23 that work doesn't
1:12:25 exist I actually don't know the answer
1:12:27 to that I think the answer could
1:12:32 be you take your older more experienced
1:12:35 employees and you bring in younger EMP
1:12:39 employees to reverse Mentor one another
1:12:44 right so the young person comes in and
1:12:45 says here's what I know about tech
1:12:47 here's what I know about the world and
1:12:49 culture and this and that and the older
1:12:50 person says here's what I know about
1:12:52 tech and here's what I know about
1:12:54 experience and here's how the world
1:12:56 works and so so I you could see these
1:12:58 pairings of young and old people but I
1:13:01 but I I don't think it 3 years from now
1:13:05 how you enter the workforce is going to
1:13:07 resemble what we do today at all so so
1:13:11 that's my that's my Gen X
1:13:14 stick is
1:13:18 um yeah I'd rather work with with some
1:13:22 hungry AI liter
1:13:25 horizontal thinking strategic thinking
1:13:28 gen xers than young people if I were
1:13:30 starting a business right now I think I
1:13:33 think I think a batch of of smart
1:13:37 motivated gen xers like five of them
1:13:40 with kind of different brains and
1:13:42 different ways of working that we're all
1:13:43 AI
1:13:45 literate can start companies that are
1:13:47 going to take down 50 and 100 person
1:13:50 companies like out of the
1:13:52 gate
1:13:54 so it's almost like a reverse agism
1:13:57 thing because it's like when I moved to
1:13:59 Boulder I experienced agism for the
1:14:01 first time it was very weird I thought I
1:14:03 was going to find all this community
1:14:06 there and they had no interest in me it
1:14:08 was weird it was very weird and you know
1:14:11 I've taken a company public like like
1:14:13 I've
1:14:14 got there's a reason like you talk to me
1:14:19 but
1:14:21 no they were into you know they wanted
1:14:23 Young ERS with that they could pay 20
1:14:25 grand in a case of Red Bull and they'd
1:14:28 work for 24 hours a day right the
1:14:30 problem with older people is they want
1:14:31 to get paid and they don't want to work
1:14:33 18 hours a
1:14:35 day but now you don't have to right
1:14:38 these tools level up the skills and they
1:14:40 make things more efficient those
1:14:42 pairings only work well and long term if
1:14:44 the energy exchange is mutually
1:14:45 respectful yep yeah exactly I like I
1:14:48 said lunatick like I don't know the
1:14:50 answer to the what where is entry level
1:14:52 anymore
1:14:55 um we're also just society and
1:14:59 professionally like like the way
1:15:02 business Works in
1:15:05 America it it's only companies that
1:15:08 experiment with different models like
1:15:10 reverse you know reverse Mentor ISM and
1:15:12 things like that like they tend to just
1:15:14 be experiments that you read about in
1:15:15 Fast Company but it it doesn't it's not
1:15:18 like part of our
1:15:19 culture so I don't I don't think that's
1:15:21 an obvious thing but we're going to have
1:15:23 to to do something with the young people
1:15:25 right we're going to have to do
1:15:26 something with people like how do how do
1:15:27 we get them trained up and if if listen
1:15:29 if if you are a young person on this
1:15:31 channel or if you know them or are
1:15:33 parents of
1:15:36 them if if a young person comes in and
1:15:39 they're [ __ ] all in on AI and they
1:15:41 know this [ __ ] and they're hungry and
1:15:43 they have energy for it and they're like
1:15:45 I I can do this and I can do that and I
1:15:46 can do this and I can do that they're
1:15:49 in but if they come in like you know oh
1:15:53 this is what I learned in college and
1:15:55 this is what I want to
1:15:57 do this I
1:16:00 don't showand tell man okay fine fine
1:16:05 Ted looks at life apparently Ted wants
1:16:08 to look at Show and
1:16:11 Tell is this thing on how do you run the
1:16:14 Tik Tock hey Sally
1:16:17 Sally yeah listen hey what do you all
1:16:21 those biscuits smell good yeah yeah what
1:16:25 no I was just wondering how do you run a
1:16:26 Tik toac did you turn it on is do I see
1:16:29 my face yeah that look good
1:16:33 what do you put you you push the
1:16:36 button is it is there word
1:16:39 scrolling yeah they say he's an idiot oh
1:16:42 it's on so oh they can see
1:16:52 me
1:16:54 [Music]
1:16:56 Cosmic lover thanks for sharing I find
1:16:58 this super interesting thank you um all
1:17:01 right let's go look at D- ID no this is
1:17:03 hey Jen okay so hey
1:17:06 Jen so this thing is called an avatar
1:17:09 instant
1:17:12 Avatar um and the instant Avatar is you
1:17:16 upload like a 3 minute
1:17:18 video and then you can either upload an
1:17:22 audio script like a recorded audio of
1:17:24 your selft talking or you can just type
1:17:27 in a script and it will synthesize your
1:17:29 voice and just make the video so that's
1:17:32 pretty amazing and then what's what's
1:17:34 kind of cool is like so I uploaded the
1:17:37 video with me standing in front of that
1:17:39 you know sort of screened out window
1:17:41 with the construction thing in the
1:17:42 background wearing wearing my little
1:17:44 Story vine gnome
1:17:47 jacket
1:17:48 and when when I make a video with this
1:17:51 like it's it's always going to be me
1:17:52 wearing that clothing with that
1:17:55 background right so if you want like
1:17:58 you with a different background or a
1:18:01 different outfit or even a different
1:18:03 voice like because I was thinking about
1:18:05 doing these like you know I could I
1:18:07 could take some of my my my acting
1:18:09 skills and you know do one like you know
1:18:12 hey it's Kyle Shannon with the AI
1:18:13 learning lab how you doing you know do
1:18:16 do some [ __ ] idiotic low version and
1:18:18 then hey it's Kyle Shannon how you doing
1:18:21 today and it will synthesize both
1:18:24 versions of me right and so so you could
1:18:28 have if you've got kind of different
1:18:30 personas professionally right you've got
1:18:32 the outbound sales Persona and now
1:18:34 listen ideally you're just an authentic
1:18:36 human being but realistically we've all
1:18:39 got little different sticks we do here
1:18:41 and there right so you could create
1:18:43 different versions of yourself that you
1:18:45 use in different
1:18:47 situations so that's the instant Avatar
1:18:51 um haen also has has like um
1:18:55 pre-selected dudes let's see photo
1:19:04 Avatar it's it's kind of like D- ID I
1:19:07 don't know hey Jen as well oh yeah like
1:19:08 here here are all the extra people you
1:19:10 can select right so just like D-
1:19:14 ID welcome to the new era of video
1:19:17 Creation with hen simply type your
1:19:19 script to get um but I'm going to go to
1:19:21 Labs so labs
1:19:27 so there's three things here well
1:19:29 there's actually four so Heen now has a
1:19:33 a
1:19:33 canva um app so within canva you can use
1:19:37 some of these virtual
1:19:39 avatars they've also got video translate
1:19:42 so I showed you some of that stuff
1:19:44 before right so here's one This was um
1:19:48 someone used a storyvine free template
1:19:50 that was a holiday greeting card
1:19:53 and so the original video here was this
1:19:55 woman speaking German so I put her in
1:19:58 here and flipped her to I I had it
1:20:02 translate her German into American
1:20:05 English and so here's
1:20:09 that dear family dear friends dear
1:20:12 colleagues it is the second Advent and
1:20:15 we extend our heartfelt wishes to all of
1:20:18 you for a joyous
1:20:20 Christmas so that's pretty trippy uh and
1:20:24 then here's let's see here's me speaking
1:20:28 Mandarin
1:20:37 Chinese hey Jen is not free for now I
1:20:39 think hey Jen gives you two credits so
1:20:42 like with two credits you could do two
1:20:45 minute long videos I think the Italian
1:20:48 the the two Italian videos I did were a
1:20:50 credit each so you can do two for free
1:20:54 but here's me speaking
1:21:03 Italian so that's that so that's that's
1:21:06 translation at hey hey Jen or at heyen
1:21:09 labs and then um personalized video this
1:21:12 one's a [ __ ]
1:21:13 trip um boy this made me want to yeah
1:21:17 all of this video stuff unfortunately
1:21:20 like from for Consumer level stuff is
1:21:22 not cheap like like hey Jen I think it's
1:21:24 like a dollar a
1:21:32 minute okay um personalized video this
1:21:35 is a trip
1:21:36 [Laughter]
1:21:39 so personalized video is mail merge for
1:21:43 video so I I will um I I will actually
1:21:48 demo this because it's it's [ __ ]
1:21:51 crazy um I can just show it to you but
1:21:53 we might as well do it just might as
1:21:54 well do it live cuz it's it's pretty
1:21:57 cool okay so you can create an automated
1:22:02 workflow so the automated workflow would
1:22:04 be like you've got a form that's part of
1:22:07 your sales process and then when someone
1:22:09 fills out that form rather than sending
1:22:11 them back an email you're going to send
1:22:13 them back a video of you welcoming them
1:22:16 into the program
1:22:18 personally
1:22:20 um oh quick take Jake if anyone wants to
1:22:23 link up I have the premium version and
1:22:25 willing to collaborate so okay so so
1:22:28 hang on before I before I demo this I'm
1:22:30 going to show you one thing go
1:22:35 to if if you're not part of the AI Salon
1:22:39 go to the
1:22:41 salon. the first link on that link tree
1:22:44 is a link to our Mighty Network's um
1:22:47 home Community for the AI salon so so
1:22:50 this channel is kind of an extension of
1:22:52 this community or like like they're
1:22:53 they're kind of merged together
1:22:55 now but the mighty networks uh for the
1:22:57 AI Salon is where we all hang out so if
1:23:01 you want to find quick take Jake there
1:23:04 join the salon and you can collaborate
1:23:06 and then let me see if I've
1:23:08 got I got too many tabs open people who
1:23:11 to thk
1:23:21 it sign in yes accept the cookies why
1:23:25 don't you write a cookie that I accepted
1:23:27 the
1:23:28 cookie
1:23:32 weirdos um revenge of the Gen xers yeah
1:23:35 baby there we are so notice that uh what
1:23:40 you're seeing here are things that seem
1:23:42 relevant to what we were just talking
1:23:43 about revenge of the Gen X phones oh
1:23:47 that's good they're they're all
1:23:48 blackberries and and palm Pilots That's
1:23:52 genius
1:23:57 um so this is one of the things that
1:23:59 happens at the AI Salon is that these
1:24:02 Tik toks so it just started out with me
1:24:04 being an idiot but now what it's turned
1:24:07 into is I'm still an idiot I'm the
1:24:09 village idiot but what happens is if
1:24:12 people have heard me say the [ __ ] I've
1:24:13 say a thousand times before they just
1:24:15 start making images and sharing them
1:24:17 like on the show int tell channel here
1:24:19 so when you come to the AI Salon go to
1:24:21 welcome to the salon
1:24:24 and check out about who we are and check
1:24:26 out also our values so our values are
1:24:29 things like curiosity and generosity and
1:24:32 and exploration and collaboration and
1:24:35 inclusion and empathy just go read all
1:24:37 that please because if you don't
1:24:40 resonate with those values you you won't
1:24:42 fit in like you won't like the community
1:24:44 and you won't fit in um if you do
1:24:46 resonate with those values [ __ ] jump
1:24:48 in and start you know collaborating and
1:24:50 sharing what you're learning and just
1:24:51 hanging out with weirdos okay all right
1:24:53 so that's that so let's go back to hey
1:24:57 Jen now I got to find it Well Kyle if
1:25:01 you used a a tab management strategy
1:25:03 that was you know one of the things that
1:25:05 you could do Kyle is you could um you
1:25:07 could you could use a tab management
1:25:09 system software it's a it's it's very
1:25:12 much like a think of it like Trello
1:25:15 where once you've set up your your
1:25:17 architecture uh and then and then you
1:25:19 maintain it on a regular basis uh you
1:25:21 you only have to prune it uh 17 or 18
1:25:23 times a day to to keep up with it it's
1:25:25 it's it's perfectly trivial for for for
1:25:28 anyone with a
1:25:31 brain all right anyway
1:25:34 sorry sorry sorry I was just trolling
1:25:37 the
1:25:44 neurotypicals [ __ ] weirdos you you
1:25:47 know what the thing is with you
1:25:48 neurotypicals us neuros spicies think
1:25:51 you're the weird ones
1:25:53 you with your prefrontal loes actually
1:25:56 fun functioning you think it's cute it's
1:26:00 weird it's weird you you don't actually
1:26:02 have to think about getting up and going
1:26:04 to a
1:26:06 party you [ __ ]
1:26:10 weirdos all right um
1:26:15 okay sorry
1:26:19 ice
1:26:21 so
1:26:23 mail merge for video so so the way it's
1:26:25 going to work is you could either hook
1:26:27 this up to to like a form in your sales
1:26:29 funnel or um it could be a one-time
1:26:32 campaign where you just upload a CSV
1:26:34 file with with a bunch of contact
1:26:36 information but you can also try out
1:26:37 their little sample audience
1:26:40 so their little sample audiences Ryan
1:26:43 Justin and Emma let's let's come up with
1:26:44 better names here we'll go we'll
1:26:47 go Silver Fox we're going to we're going
1:26:51 to we're going to take some
1:26:55 uh some uh Irregulars down here Silver
1:26:59 Fox
1:27:00 Joker and
1:27:06 lunatick did I spell that right I think
1:27:08 so
1:27:10 okay so there's there's the people in
1:27:12 our in our mailing list and we're going
1:27:13 to add a variable here we're going to
1:27:15 say
1:27:18 um fave
1:27:21 food
1:27:26 and then and now we're going to put some
1:27:27 in so let's see Silver Fox fave food um
1:27:34 okra and Joker fave food is uh Skippy
1:27:41 peanut
1:27:45 butter and lunis stick fave food
1:27:50 um
1:27:51 craft
1:27:53 mac and
1:27:56 cheese
1:28:00 okay so we don't exactly have Foodies in
1:28:04 the Irregulars but you know what are you
1:28:06 going to
1:28:07 do
1:28:09 okay so so there's our little thing now
1:28:11 we're going to go to Next
1:28:13 Step so now I'm going to record a video
1:28:15 so I'm going to how how did I do this
1:28:17 the other day I'm going to do like that
1:28:20 I'll put that to the side
1:28:23 and then I'm going to turn on my mic and
1:28:25 my camera and my
1:28:28 camera all right I'm back sorry the
1:28:31 Apple just tried to give me over to
1:28:35 the my phone over okay so there's the
1:28:39 thing uh okay so wait I got to get sorry
1:28:42 I got to get my script down I gotta it's
1:28:44 it's called acting
1:28:46 people an actor prepares okay I got to
1:28:49 get it together I got to get into
1:28:51 character or all
1:28:54 right
1:29:07 um hey Silver Fox it's Kyle remember
1:29:10 last week when you were telling me that
1:29:12 your favorite food was okra that was
1:29:17 funny anyway hey I was hoping you might
1:29:21 buy a story Vine subscri
1:29:22 description okay bye all right so
1:29:28 awesome message like the the acting
1:29:30 there huh could you feel like I was like
1:29:32 it was I almost teared up okay
1:29:36 so so we got a we got a fantastic sales
1:29:39 message definitely have craft mac and
1:29:42 cheese cuz what oh I didn't see the end
1:29:44 of that dang it this is
1:29:47 weird it's only weird Silver Fox cuz
1:29:50 your favorite food is probably okra and
1:29:52 now you think think I'm psychic or
1:29:55 something definitely have craft mac and
1:29:57 cheese cuz one kid hates Annie's and the
1:29:59 other one hates
1:30:02 mine well you you got kids with taste
1:30:05 what can I tell you okay so now check
1:30:07 this out this is this is intense it's
1:30:11 intense but
1:30:12 cool so here's the silly video that I
1:30:16 recorded and then here's the transcript
1:30:19 of it hey Silver Fox it's Kyle remember
1:30:22 last week when you were telling me what
1:30:23 your favorite telling me your favorite
1:30:25 food was okra that was
1:30:27 funny so I can now grab Silver Fox I can
1:30:31 say first
1:30:33 name that's our variable and I can grab
1:30:37 okra and say that's the favorite food
1:30:41 variable and now I say next
1:30:44 step I can customize the the email
1:30:47 that's going to go out with like my
1:30:49 logo not psychic I'm more like a stalker
1:30:53 steo steo you should have been one of
1:30:55 these people I missed my opportunity
1:30:58 here uh and then you say submit and so
1:31:01 now it's going to tell you how much it
1:31:02 costs now this is also interesting so
1:31:04 normally with with
1:31:05 haen um it's like a dollar a minute so
1:31:08 it's a credit it's it's a dollar per
1:31:12 credit and it's a credit per minute
1:31:14 because you're doing mail merge here and
1:31:17 you're doing a lot of these they're like
1:31:19 oh we probably can't charge a dollar per
1:31:21 minute for all of this [ __ ] so what
1:31:24 they're charging is a tenth of a credit
1:31:27 per variable per video so in my little
1:31:31 video here I did name and favorite food
1:31:33 as variables so it's two credit or 0. 2
1:31:37 credits times three videos is6 credits
1:31:41 right so it's 60 cents to do these three
1:31:44 videos so if you've got you know a
1:31:47 really sophisticated form and a
1:31:49 sophisticated message it might cost you
1:31:51 a dollar if you've got 10 of them in
1:31:53 there but but you know decently
1:31:55 reasonable and then you submit
1:31:58 this and failed to submit something is
1:32:03 wrong try
1:32:05 again
1:32:08 H that's not
1:32:10 good I want to see my favorite food
1:32:13 thing let's go
1:32:16 back next
1:32:20 step uh uh
1:32:22 [Music]
1:32:32 submit failed to submit something is
1:32:35 wrong let's try oh if I reload it I'm
1:32:39 probably going to lose
1:32:42 everything you have unsaved changes
1:32:47 [Music]
1:32:51 see
1:32:53 next
1:32:59 up try one more time I don't think it's
1:33:01 going to work something something has
1:33:04 clearly crashed in my
1:33:06 session I got session issues people it's
1:33:09 probably because I didn't accept their
1:33:10 stupid [ __ ] cookies
1:33:13 God fre freak them Rock them suck them
1:33:16 anyway so I'll go show you one of the
1:33:18 other ones I
1:33:19 did so here's uh me talking to
1:33:25 Justin hey Justin how's it going hey I
1:33:28 was just sitting here thinking you
1:33:30 remember that time when talked about
1:33:32 authentic storytelling at digital Pharma
1:33:34 East anyway I was just thinking about
1:33:37 you I was thinking it might be I missed
1:33:39 a word there obviously my my script was
1:33:41 wrong not hey J hey Ryan how's it going
1:33:45 hey I was just sitting here thinking you
1:33:48 remember that time when we went fishing
1:33:49 in the middle of November anyway
1:33:52 I was just thinking about you I was
1:33:54 thinking it might be good for us to
1:33:56 catch up hope and it's a little uncanny
1:33:59 valley it's a little sort of stilted
1:34:01 kind of
1:34:03 talk but I'm also like I'm super
1:34:06 animated and it's kind of monotone in
1:34:09 how it delivers [ __ ] so if you're more
1:34:11 sort of even keeled in how you talk I
1:34:13 think it would seem less weird I was
1:34:16 just sitting here thinking you remember
1:34:18 that time when we worked together when
1:34:19 you were at
1:34:20 Ogie anyway
1:34:22 I was just thinking about you the creepy
1:34:24 eyebrow raise was funny um yeah so
1:34:28 that's personalized video so yeah there
1:34:30 you have it it's a shame I couldn't do
1:34:32 the uh the funny one with the foods but
1:34:34 you
1:34:36 know oh if if you're new here one of the
1:34:40 other things that we talk about all the
1:34:42 time is uh the thing that you have to
1:34:46 understand is that all of these
1:34:49 Technologies from chat GPT to Mid
1:34:53 journey to Runway ml to Hay all of them
1:34:57 all of them are janky pieces of [ __ ] and
1:35:01 and as soon as soon as
1:35:04 you come to peace you know internalize
1:35:08 that and and just you know give yourself
1:35:11 a gentle
1:35:13 little they're janky pieces of [ __ ] yes
1:35:16 ah yes ah that makes it better don't
1:35:20 expect them to be perfect like there is
1:35:23 not an AI tool out there right now that
1:35:25 can get you to 100% of what you think is
1:35:28 good all of them are maybe
1:35:31 80% I I would say chaty PT is the one
1:35:34 that sort of gets like in the in the
1:35:36 '90s it's kind of like if you ever watch
1:35:39 that Dave portnite portnite guy the guy
1:35:41 from bar stool sports that does the
1:35:43 Pizza reviews you know he's like like
1:35:46 high sevens is good right and and if a
1:35:48 pizza's in the eights like that's really
1:35:50 good rarely does it get in the nines
1:35:53 like AI right now is kind of like that
1:35:56 like like we're all Dave poroi and AI is
1:35:59 the
1:36:00 pizza and it's like very few of them get
1:36:03 to 10 right now
1:36:06 now why put up with
1:36:08 that because we're effectively one year
1:36:12 into to the generative AI era right
1:36:14 November 30th 20122 is the launch of
1:36:17 Chad gbt that's when all this
1:36:19 started Ai and machine learning have
1:36:21 been around for decades but it was it
1:36:24 was largely the the the purview of
1:36:28 scientists and mathematicians and
1:36:30 engineers and
1:36:31 researchers and chat GPT comes along and
1:36:34 says hey normies check this
1:36:36 out so we're a year into
1:36:39 that and there's all this remarkable
1:36:42 stuff like the stuff I just showed you
1:36:43 like a month ago most of this didn't
1:36:45 exist it's just
1:36:48 mindblowing
1:36:50 and
1:36:52 this Tech that get can get us to sort of
1:36:55 80% of good where you like it's not
1:36:57 quite there all happened within the last
1:37:01 year and it's as bad as it's ever going
1:37:04 to be and it's moving really fast so
1:37:09 2024 is going to make 2023 look like we
1:37:12 were playing [ __ ] marbles like it
1:37:14 it's it's going to it's going to be
1:37:16 insane this stuff's going to get better
1:37:19 fast like like dramatically better fast
1:37:22 all of it the music Generation stuff the
1:37:24 video Generation stuff the mid Journey
1:37:27 version six that just came out the
1:37:30 coherence that's happening within the
1:37:32 sort of like the prompt accuracy within
1:37:34 mid Journey 6 that I'm seeing examples
1:37:36 of right now it's crazy good dol's going
1:37:40 to catch up to that like they're just
1:37:41 going to keep one uping each other all
1:37:43 of these companies and we're just now
1:37:46 starting to see the massive investment
1:37:49 that got dumped into AI starting
1:37:52 essentially in
1:37:54 January January February of 2023 is when
1:37:58 everyone sort
1:38:00 of L turned all of their focus and all
1:38:03 of the money toward AI because of chat
1:38:07 GPT which got to 100 million users in
1:38:10 six weeks they launched on November 30th
1:38:14 and by mid January they had a 100
1:38:16 million users fastest adoption of
1:38:19 technology in
1:38:20 history
1:38:23 and because of that Google freaked out
1:38:26 and brought back Larry Page and Sergey
1:38:28 Brin and said uh boys could you come
1:38:32 back uh it's serious this time we gota
1:38:36 we gotta we're it's it's good it's it's
1:38:38 just existential business model threats
1:38:40 it's other than that it's is it warm in
1:38:43 here we're good
1:38:48 right and then when Google did that
1:38:51 everyone else went wait what oh [ __ ]
1:38:54 meta was like uh we got AI too here have
1:38:57 our model you can have it for free uh
1:38:59 just for research and then until the
1:39:01 summer and they're like you can have our
1:39:03 sexier model and you can do that
1:39:05 commercially
1:39:06 now people lost their [ __ ] minds in
1:39:09 2023 we're just now starting to see the
1:39:11 dividends of all that
1:39:13 investment okay Sabrina Sabrina King I
1:39:17 love AI but everyone I know hates it
1:39:19 giving my family AI picks for Christmas
1:39:21 oh that's good okay I thought you were I
1:39:23 thought you were seeing that as a as a a
1:39:25 stopper from you not doing it no you're
1:39:27 doing it with Glee good give them AI
1:39:29 piics for Christmas absolutely troll
1:39:31 them here because here's what happens
1:39:33 Sabrina your friends your family your
1:39:36 co-workers that think you're a weirdo
1:39:39 right now promise this I I'm I see it
1:39:43 nightly in here I Promise You 3 months
1:39:46 from now 4 months from now hey Sabrina I
1:39:50 know I said you were kind of a dumb Dum
1:39:52 for playing with that all that AI stuff
1:39:54 but um well listen George just got laid
1:39:57 off from his job and they said it was
1:39:58 about Ai and and I don't I'm a
1:40:01 copywriter and should I be worried could
1:40:03 you help me how do you use chat
1:40:09 gbt or it will be the CEO of your
1:40:12 company hey Sabrina um listen I know we
1:40:16 have a policy here where we can't use
1:40:18 chat GPT but uh uh all of our
1:40:20 competitors doing it and they're like
1:40:22 undercutting our prices and our
1:40:24 customers are leaving us could you help
1:40:26 me I don't know why your CEO talks like
1:40:29 that but you
1:40:30 know that's your that's your problem
1:40:34 Sabrina yeah I know so and here's what I
1:40:37 would say for the for the people in your
1:40:39 life that are afraid of it or angry
1:40:41 about it or things like that is have
1:40:44 empathy for them like this is I I make a
1:40:47 lot of fun of it because I don't I don't
1:40:49 know what else to do like this this is
1:40:52 this is a tsunami that is that is not
1:40:55 only coming it's here it's just no one
1:40:58 knows it's a tsunami yet and they don't
1:41:01 know it's here so they're afraid of it
1:41:04 they're like well you know what we might
1:41:05 do we might pass laws against you know
1:41:08 um waves over 10 ft we think that's
1:41:10 going to we're pretty sure that if
1:41:13 we we thought about building a wall that
1:41:17 was a good one we thought about that but
1:41:18 you know what we thought is let's
1:41:20 legislate our way out of this we're
1:41:21 going to we're going to pass a law that
1:41:23 says any way of over 10 ft not in this
1:41:27 state that that that'll work
1:41:31 right it's going to work right if we do
1:41:33 the if we do the law thing it's going to
1:41:36 because it'll be illegal for the it it's
1:41:39 a what it's a 50 foot wave oh um I mean
1:41:43 it oh
1:41:45 Lord but it's we've got three or four we
1:41:49 it's here now it's oh mhm no it's good
1:41:53 I'm good I can it's am am I
1:41:57 moist thank you Sher
1:42:00 bear I miss my Sher bear lights those
1:42:03 are
1:42:05 beautiful oh good
1:42:08 lord yeah that's where we are right now
1:42:11 so you're home for the
1:42:15 holidays you're going to be sitting
1:42:17 around the table arguing about politics
1:42:20 I think you should bring up
1:42:23 AI oh there goes Spina again talking
1:42:26 about her AI apparently she's a
1:42:28 supercomputer genius
1:42:31 now oh that's a really pretty picture
1:42:33 where did you get does Hallmark make
1:42:35 pictures like oh you made that with AI
1:42:37 Oh Oh that's oh my
1:42:41 really Sabrina you've never had any
1:42:44 talent for the
1:42:45 pictures what is this you did this you
1:42:50 you did this with they are I don't you
1:42:52 know what I don't understand any of I
1:42:54 need another Martini I will be in the
1:42:56 kitchen making myself a tall stiff
1:42:58 Martini you know I like them dirty you
1:43:01 know I like them
1:43:02 dirty I'm dirty if you know what I mean
1:43:05 don't take me to
1:43:08 Vegas yeah [ __ ] shake them
1:43:12 up cuz this stuff's coming whether they
1:43:14 want to deal with it or
1:43:17 not and the sooner you can get you know
1:43:21 mom or cousin Sally
1:43:26 or Buckethead
1:43:31 Jeff to wake up the sooner they're going
1:43:34 to have their Kevin mallister moment and
1:43:36 they'll be like oh this is actually
1:43:38 really exciting
1:43:39 yeah and they'll be early and everyone
1:43:43 will just at least at at a minimum be
1:43:46 better prepared for
1:43:50 it
1:43:53 a i learning
1:43:56 lab you can make
1:44:10 money let's go look at some comments let
1:44:13 Sin City sipper pick aunt Sue's cocktail
1:44:17 that's good I like
1:44:20 it
1:44:24 oh man you people are funny I like I
1:44:28 like the crew in here you know you all
1:44:30 are funny you're funny you're all funny
1:44:34 you know I think it's it's it's I think
1:44:35 it's cute aren't you just Ador bless
1:44:38 your heart all you come in here with
1:44:40 your questions and you're asking about
1:44:43 what's heyj so cute you just bless your
1:44:46 heart decoherence new version oh good
1:44:49 lord really I can't I can't learn more
1:44:56 Joker what is it app. Deco app.
1:45:04 decohere
1:45:07 decoherence I thought it was app wasn't
1:45:09 it Deco
1:45:12 here
1:45:16 ants here
1:45:19 an.com
1:45:25 nope I got to go look for
1:45:28 it decco here and
1:45:32 AI deoh here. a is this
1:45:38 it get
1:45:45 started are they still requiring the
1:45:48 what was the oh no they're not okay
1:45:51 start typing okay watch this one people
1:45:53 wait still would let love to have you on
1:45:55 our
1:45:56 show sometime next year if you're down
1:45:59 sent you a an my email add okay great um
1:46:04 mograph yeah I'm happy to do it I just
1:46:06 sometimes when I get DMS and Tik Tok I
1:46:08 forget like it because it's not in my
1:46:10 normal chain of
1:46:11 communication um so just go to my
1:46:14 profile here there's a link my contact
1:46:17 information is in there send me an email
1:46:19 there if you would um and then I'll I'll
1:46:21 just try to remember that but yeah I'd
1:46:22 be happy to happy to do your show and I
1:46:25 may I won't act like this idiotic on
1:46:27 your on your podcast we we'll talk about
1:46:31 I I know how to behave I've got Pharma
1:46:34 clients I know I know how
1:46:36 to I know when and where to be an idiot
1:46:39 although you know what's
1:46:40 funny I've gotten two or three Pharma
1:46:43 opportunities from doing these I think
1:46:46 the the farmer people are like he's
1:46:48 radical let's let's work with that story
1:46:51 Vine company that CEO is a radical card
1:46:53 he's a card I'll tell you what you know
1:46:57 I was golfing last last week with Jack
1:46:59 Jack and I were golfing and I oh my God
1:47:01 don't even ask me about my handicap good
1:47:03 Lord anyway I'm watching this Kyle
1:47:05 Shannon fell on the Tik Tock are you on
1:47:07 the Tik Tok do you like the Tik Tock
1:47:09 anyway I'm on the Tik Tok I'm watching
1:47:11 this Kyle Shannon fell he is just a card
1:47:14 and then it turns out he does a lot of
1:47:16 work in Pharma and I'm like
1:47:17 well fudge I'm in Pharma
1:47:22 anyway are you going down to the yacht
1:47:24 club
1:47:29 later they're good
1:47:38 people okay fantastic all right let's
1:47:42 see well that special ain't that special
1:47:45 Kyle cavorting with the pharmaceutical
1:47:48 people it's just a special isn't it it's
1:47:50 just it's capitalism and its finest
1:47:52 capitalism and its finest isn't it well
1:47:54 working working with the man working
1:47:56 with the man who's the man oh who's you
1:47:57 know the man could be it's got Satan
1:48:00 well well wellow um I am not on
1:48:04 alcohol it's just uh sometimes I'm
1:48:07 weirder than
1:48:08 others okay so we are at a thing called
1:48:12 app.
1:48:14 decohere so do
1:48:17 D
1:48:19 deco
1:48:22 h e re e like here
1:48:26 a and then you come in here and so this
1:48:29 is what's sitting underneath this is
1:48:31 sdxl Turbo which is as you type it will
1:48:35 start rendering an image so we'll do 70s
1:48:40 790 ooh that was cool
1:48:44 790 that's cool
1:48:47 790
1:48:49 Harley
1:48:53 um
1:48:58 cyberpunk oh nice uh cyberpunk racing
1:49:06 racing down
1:49:11 Neo
1:49:13 Tokyo
1:49:19 Boulevard
1:49:21 yeah so look at this thing isn't this
1:49:24 crazy so okay and and like this is
1:49:29 instant like all this stuff instantly
1:49:31 generated instantly generated like as
1:49:33 I'm typing instantly generated and then
1:49:36 I can do
1:49:38 um as an
1:49:44 oil
1:49:46 painting
1:49:49 with large large brush
1:50:19 Strokes
1:50:34 nice nice I like it oh let's see let's
1:50:39 do um in blues and
1:50:45 purples in the
1:50:49 rain
1:50:51 boom I
1:50:54 mean
1:50:56 so oh and then by the
1:51:02 way this is just step one let's get
1:51:04 let's get something here looks like it's
1:51:06 got some action that that one's good
1:51:07 there so this little button here is
1:51:10 generate video so I can turn the motion
1:51:13 up we'll turn the motion up decent let's
1:51:17 see generate
1:51:19 video
1:51:23 what happened to the monthly and
1:51:24 quarterly release schedules yeah no [ __ ]
1:51:26 Suzanne I mean like that's that's the
1:51:29 thing gen xers we used to remember you
1:51:32 you would get a shrink wrap software
1:51:34 release once a year or once every two
1:51:37 years and you know you would use your
1:51:39 shitty piece of software and you you'd
1:51:42 have racks of manuals behind you that
1:51:46 never you never looked at but you never
1:51:48 threw away and now yeah now we're in the
1:51:51 once every 3 weeks it's a completely
1:51:53 different
1:51:54 application time of the time of the
1:51:59 future um I made a pie with bugs on it
1:52:03 last time that Disturbed people but I
1:52:05 also made this cool thing I made a I
1:52:08 made a a closed Blockbuster Christmas
1:52:13 ornament and and then I made it into a
1:52:15 movie look how cool that that did that
1:52:17 background scrolling yikes church lady
1:52:19 well
1:52:21 special look at Kyle there cavorting
1:52:24 with the Pharmaceuticals well well well
1:52:26 well well didn't we know he was just
1:52:28 like that Mr Shannon I always knew there
1:52:32 was something about him I could never
1:52:33 quite place my finger on it but now I
1:52:36 know
1:52:39 Satan
1:52:42 so it's not quite right but you know
1:52:45 like I said janky pieces of
1:52:48 [ __ ] like at some point it'll figure out
1:52:51 that these are motorcycles and they
1:52:54 should move but you know what we could
1:52:56 do I wonder if this thing is letting us
1:52:59 download these images yet
1:53:03 nope
1:53:04 so there's more than one way to skin
1:53:07 that cat we will screenshot that bad
1:53:12 boy so we are going to go over to Runway
1:53:15 ml we're going to take this here image
1:53:19 Bang now did I put that to my clipboard
1:53:23 or to my desktop where did I save it
1:53:25 that's to the desktop we put that right
1:53:28 there to the desktop you know the
1:53:30 desktop's where you keep your
1:53:32 files uh and then we're going to go
1:53:34 where did I say Runway Runway ml we're
1:53:37 going to go to Runway
1:53:39 ml if you ain't been to Runway ml just
1:53:41 kind of like that one we were just on
1:53:43 it'll make you a video it'll make you a
1:53:45 video it's a little it's a little weird
1:53:47 you know what are you going to
1:53:49 do and and then I'm going to log in with
1:53:51 the
1:53:53 Google Google's a funny company you know
1:53:56 they when they started did you know this
1:53:58 they had they had one of them their what
1:53:59 do they call them it's like a corporate
1:54:01 value and they one of their corporate
1:54:03 values was do no evil which I thought
1:54:06 you know that's good like I like that
1:54:07 it's a it's a you know they're like
1:54:09 scrappy little startup and they're like
1:54:11 do no evil and then uh yeah they got rid
1:54:13 of that so yeah yeah so it's you know I
1:54:19 still you go you find you could find a
1:54:21 website there if you go to the if you go
1:54:23 to the Google you can find some stuff
1:54:25 there
1:54:25 anyway um yeah yeah no I gave them my
1:54:28 data yeah I just gave them well no my
1:54:30 social security number yeah they got
1:54:32 that and then they got the uh they got
1:54:34 the all of my uh they track everywhere I
1:54:36 go I gave them that but you know what I
1:54:39 got I got uh they I could just go there
1:54:42 for free and they and they put it on the
1:54:44 map they put the map on the the pin you
1:54:46 put a pin on the map and then they so I
1:54:49 just yeah they the what my medical
1:54:51 records oh yeah no I gave him that too
1:54:53 yeah cuz cuz on the map the doc you got
1:54:56 a doctor on the map and I'll tell you
1:54:58 what you can just click right to the
1:55:00 website right from the map and so yeah I
1:55:02 gave them all my medical my medical date
1:55:04 what the uh the Apple watch with my my
1:55:07 cardio yeah that's that they got that
1:55:09 too yep yep yep and then no all the
1:55:12 family all the family no all the family
1:55:14 yeah they know they know about little
1:55:16 little Janie they know about little
1:55:17 Jamie yep they they got it all yep all
1:55:20 right and scene
1:55:24 okay is he always like
1:55:27 [Laughter]
1:55:33 this I so hope you're home with awkward
1:55:39 relatives
1:55:40 and and they have stumbled onto
1:55:45 this all right now we are over at
1:55:49 um
1:55:52 we are over at Runway ml is what they
1:55:55 call it in the in the business they call
1:55:58 this Runway
1:55:59 ml okay so Runway ml has this thing
1:56:02 called motion
1:56:03 brush and tap anywhere to begin I don't
1:56:07 why don't they just load the image I
1:56:08 don't get this okay but so check this
1:56:12 out so I can now draw over this
1:56:18 motorcycle and so what I'm telling
1:56:20 Runway ml is I
1:56:22 want these motorcycles to
1:56:30 move does he always sing like that it's
1:56:33 very annoying what's he trying to do
1:56:34 chase people away I don't understand
1:56:37 this channel you like this what do you
1:56:40 mean you watch this instead of TV that
1:56:43 that makes no sense to me you need to
1:56:45 get your act together
1:56:48 sister
1:56:55 squatter Bonk okay so let's see we're
1:56:59 going to do
1:57:01 horizontal
1:57:02 two two things that
1:57:05 way and then proximity is closer right
1:57:09 so we'll
1:57:10 go we'll go one thing closer and then
1:57:13 what's
1:57:15 ambient Ambient what the [ __ ] does that
1:57:18 mean ambient noise I guess that's
1:57:20 Randomness we don't want Randomness here
1:57:23 we want these things moving
1:57:26 right oh look learn how to use motion
1:57:28 brush with with Runway Academy
1:57:32 nice save okay generate boom we're
1:57:36 making
1:57:38 videos it's like we're in Hollywood
1:57:43 Hollywood Runway ml I use it a lot very
1:57:46 cool all right let me see what people
1:57:48 are saying here it's it's got to just be
1:57:50 an absolute [ __ ] show of trolls in here
1:57:53 cuz I'm just acting like an idiot so
1:57:55 anyone who hasn't been here before is
1:57:56 like what is this
1:57:58 channel descriptive engineering please I
1:58:01 don't know what that means Spike Jones
1:58:03 uh me too but I'm still doing my
1:58:04 homework um oh boy his wire block or
1:58:07 phone must have been not
1:58:10 [Laughter]
1:58:16 working that just might sell utter chaos
1:58:20 I don't know that AI tool you're very
1:58:22 entertaining you're my style oh that's
1:58:24 good sages of motherhood I appreciate
1:58:26 that I listen I am I am I I assume at
1:58:30 this point I am an acquired taste um so
1:58:34 you know if you get it you get it if you
1:58:36 don't you
1:58:37 don't it my uh my Mo with content in
1:58:42 general is you should have a point of
1:58:44 view because if you try to be everything
1:58:46 for everyone it will just be boring
1:58:50 and so at a minimum you know you might
1:58:53 think I'm an idot but if you don't think
1:58:56 I'm an idiot cool all right let's see if
1:58:58 Runway did any better with this
1:59:00 image yeah that's a little
1:59:04 better there's no spokes in the wheels
1:59:07 like it's not quite there we don't quite
1:59:09 have the motion like you know some sort
1:59:10 of atmospheric [ __ ] in there but that's
1:59:13 not
1:59:15 bad and then the other thing that you
1:59:17 can do with Runway is you can extend it
1:59:19 for SEC seconds and you can do that four
1:59:24 times
1:59:30 so in the depths of
1:59:37 neotokyo spike in his gang of I don't
1:59:41 know you
1:59:43 [Music]
1:59:45 know don't be evil I
1:59:48 know
1:59:50 oh that's funny Ted Ted says it looks
1:59:53 like an old electronic football game so
1:59:55 for the Gen xers remember those the the
1:59:58 the vibrating metal football game with
2:00:00 the little dudes are
2:00:03 like it's totally what it looks like I'm
2:00:06 like that looks familiar I didn't know
2:00:07 what it was that's what it
2:00:12 was
2:00:14 yep so this is the this is the weird you
2:00:17 know janky piece of [ __ ] right now but
2:00:21 but learn to love the imperfections
2:00:25 right now CU it's very quickly going to
2:00:28 get perfect and it's and when it gets
2:00:31 perfect it like the Dynamics start to
2:00:34 change right now you can look at all
2:00:35 these toys like if you're a
2:00:37 filmmaker or you know a motion graphic
2:00:40 artist or just really anyone an art
2:00:42 director and you look at this and you're
2:00:43 like yeah well okay give me a call when
2:00:46 it when it's actually not horrible all
2:00:48 right yeah yeah yeah yeah where's the
2:00:51 atmosphere uh I don't see any particle
2:00:52 Dynamics in this uh little movie you've
2:00:55 made right so so um
2:01:01 so it when these things get good then
2:01:04 all of a sudden things get way more
2:01:06 serious um but I think we're going to
2:01:08 also look back at this time and go wow
2:01:10 man remember when it was like it was
2:01:13 janky yeah that was that was kind of
2:01:15 cool cuz there was no you know there
2:01:18 were no Stakes
2:01:22 Kyle after
2:01:24 dark with with
2:01:26 DNA um but I still can't can't find this
2:01:29 one spreadsheet it's so I I need it in
2:01:32 my Google
2:01:33 Drive and that's the story of how chat
2:01:36 GPT got so
2:01:40 smart oh they just came
2:01:43 out look to your very right they just
2:01:46 came out with a new tool who who just
2:01:48 came out with a new tool
2:01:50 Runway did Sher
2:02:04 D few
2:02:07 latest okay here's eight seconds of the
2:02:10 virtual football
2:02:12 [Music]
2:02:18 game
2:02:21 actually you know what you know what
2:02:22 would be interesting let's go back let
2:02:25 me start with let me put the same image
2:02:27 in here and not do the motion
2:02:39 brush all right so we're going to go
2:02:42 horizontal a
2:02:44 little we're going to go vertical a
2:02:48 little
2:02:50 we're going to pan
2:02:51 it this
2:02:53 way we're not going to tilt it and we're
2:02:56 going to zoom
2:02:59 out all
2:03:02 right generate all right let's let's see
2:03:04 what it looks like let's see if it can
2:03:06 figure out that these are
2:03:09 motorcycles or that that there's some
2:03:13 kind
2:03:14 of motion relationship with the
2:03:16 background and the foreground objects
2:03:19 that would be
2:03:21 interesting um temperature would be like
2:03:23 room temperature so I guess ambient
2:03:25 noise is like regular noise of I see
2:03:27 looks like old electronic football game
2:03:29 slowmo when they go really fast the
2:03:32 spokes kind of go away anyway yeah
2:03:34 exactly I know the wheels weren't
2:03:36 rolling it got the Shadows right too now
2:03:39 now Matrix style use chat gbt I love
2:03:43 that game we had one of those football
2:03:45 games I
2:03:46 know perfect is going to kill it this is
2:03:50 the wonderful time yeah Mary Mary this
2:03:52 is remember the janky Wild
2:03:55 West here's the
2:03:57 thing like why I do these things nightly
2:04:01 is that the one thing that I know the
2:04:03 one thing I know for sure is like the
2:04:06 early days of the worldwide web like
2:04:09 those were really he days and it's like
2:04:11 it it went really fast and this stuff is
2:04:14 moving way faster than the web stuff
2:04:16 went so um so I'm doing to just stay in
2:04:20 the
2:04:21 conversation yeah there we go that's
2:04:23 much
2:04:24 better yeah that's pretty
2:04:27 good it's even got a little can I Loop
2:04:33 it yeah now it's looping like it's even
2:04:36 got a little like light here that comes
2:04:38 through the road right so like that's
2:04:41 not bad so let's extend this for 4
2:04:47 seconds all right
2:04:54 is there an app AI where you can input a
2:04:56 video and make another similar but new
2:04:59 one you can do that with
2:05:02 runwayml this one Runway ml.com does it
2:05:05 I think pabs yeah pabs does it too with
2:05:09 pabs you can upload a video like if you
2:05:12 got a video of a woman walking you can
2:05:15 mask out her shirt like her shirt on one
2:05:17 of the frames and say place it with like
2:05:20 a different color top or a jacket or
2:05:22 something like that and it will just
2:05:24 swap out the the uh her clothing so so p
2:05:28 p Labs it's it's p. art I'm pretty sure
2:05:31 hang on let me
2:05:39 see
2:05:44 yeah yeah and then paika yeah you can
2:05:46 upload oh that's motion control upload
2:05:48 an image or a video yeah let's check
2:05:51 these guys out why don't we we'll we'll
2:05:53 do a little compare and
2:05:54 contrast so we'll grab our
2:05:57 little describe your story um
2:06:04 motor
2:06:06 cycles
2:06:09 racing in Neo Tokyo
2:06:14 rain and then let's see motion control
2:06:18 so we want want to zoom in couple of
2:06:22 times we want to pan that
2:06:25 direction strength of Mo motion let's
2:06:28 put that pretty high all right and then
2:06:32 let's
2:06:34 generate all right so pik's going to do
2:06:36 its thing we'll see if that's any good
2:06:39 or if that's a pile of trash too all
2:06:42 right what do we got we got it here all
2:06:43 right here's our 8sec clip from Runway
2:06:46 of our thing from Deco here
2:06:53 yeah like if if this were cut into If
2:06:55 This Were cut into a bunch of neotokyo
2:06:57 stuff with some cool you know viby kind
2:07:00 of music that that could work that would
2:07:02 pass in an
2:07:04 edit that would set it that would set a
2:07:07 tone that would set the
2:07:09 mood pretty crazy PR take cries the
2:07:13 people it's just crazy it's crazy it's
2:07:16 crazy do you think he knows how crazy
2:07:18 this is this is crazy is this what he
2:07:22 does every night how does he ever sleep
2:07:24 what is who is he does he have any
2:07:27 qualifications oh he doesn't no it it
2:07:30 seems like that yeah no he seems I mean
2:07:33 he seems nice he just doesn't like does
2:07:36 he what does he what does he do he oh
2:07:39 he's an entrepreneur well that's just
2:07:41 that's just code work word for he he
2:07:44 doesn't have a job right he's unemployed
2:07:46 yeah yeah okay yeah that makes sense it
2:07:48 makes sense oh he has an acting degree
2:07:50 oh okay okay now it's it's all coming
2:07:53 together okay that's hilarious okay that
2:07:56 now it all makes sense of course he
2:07:58 doesn't have any qualifications good
2:08:00 Lord but is he going to do Death of a
2:08:03 Salesman next oh jesz co we had fun in
2:08:07 New York didn't we when we went that one
2:08:08 time it was so much fun we should have
2:08:10 seen a show we should have seen a show
2:08:12 but anyway the &m store I love the &m
2:08:14 store oh God I love those M&M's they had
2:08:17 all the different flavors could you
2:08:19 believe it that you know that one they
2:08:21 had that had coconut in it it had
2:08:22 coconut in an Eminem I'm like I've never
2:08:24 seen this
2:08:26 before
2:08:28 Oh and
2:08:31 see I started stying around with a
2:08:33 custom machine learning
2:08:36 models is there a tool where I can input
2:08:39 a short video that's what we're doing
2:08:40 right
2:08:42 now can we repeat the same characters
2:08:44 and images yet you know what Jules um go
2:08:47 look on Twitter right now like look up
2:08:50 AI I I don't I don't know what tool
2:08:53 people are using but I've seen a bunch
2:08:55 of posts recently where they're start
2:08:58 they someone has figured out how to do
2:09:00 consistent characters across scenes
2:09:02 there's lots of videos on it I've never
2:09:04 had good success with it but it looks
2:09:06 like there's a new tool that came out in
2:09:07 the past couple of days I don't know if
2:09:09 it's it's mid Journey 6 or if it's some
2:09:12 other proprietary tool I'm not sure it's
2:09:14 it's a really good question
2:09:17 though um I'm quick real realizing I'm
2:09:20 quite impatient because I know it can be
2:09:22 done um but setting it
2:09:26 all yeah I know Leonardo da Vinci
2:09:29 Notebook thank you share bear giving me
2:09:32 the gummy bear your video will start
2:09:34 processing soon how about process it now
2:09:37 your video is generating all right well
2:09:39 I guess we'll just have to watch this
2:09:40 thing Loop for a
2:09:42 bit can we stop on our favorite versions
2:09:46 of an app yeah no
2:09:49 I mean no that's this is the pro so Mary
2:09:52 Mary like even within chat
2:09:56 GPT it's not like they just add features
2:09:59 it's like they're tweaking the like the
2:10:02 underlying prompts that make Chachi PT
2:10:05 behave the way it does and they're
2:10:07 tweaking the fine-tuning of the model
2:10:10 that sits underneath
2:10:12 it okay Sherry D they're using mid
2:10:14 Journey tools to do the to do the
2:10:16 character coherence Okay so so yeah if
2:10:19 you've if you've not um explored mid
2:10:22 Journey 6 where have you been it's been
2:10:24 out for like 2 days now come on people
2:10:27 good Lord oh I'm sorry I was driving to
2:10:30 Ohio to be with my
2:10:32 family that is not an excuse we all have
2:10:36 computers on our phones you you should
2:10:38 be doing you should be talking to Pi
2:10:41 while you're driving keeping up with the
2:10:43 latest news come on people I thought
2:10:46 we've gone over this
2:10:47 before this is you know people asked
2:10:49 before is this a cult well it's not a
2:10:51 cult but you have homework to [ __ ]
2:10:54 do I I was driving across the country
2:10:58 that is no longer an excuse no no we
2:11:00 don't miss days in this
2:11:03 business it's [ __ ] I got to tell you
2:11:06 it's [ __ ] exhausting it really is
2:11:09 it's just like it's just like I
2:11:14 like I love jamming new [ __ ] in my brain
2:11:17 I love it it's an add thing thing it's
2:11:19 like it's like endorphins every day yay
2:11:21 Jam more crap in there Jam more crap in
2:11:23 there even for that crazy stra of a
2:11:26 brain it's like could I just not for a
2:11:28 day and then they're like new
2:11:31 announcement and it's
2:11:32 exciting like
2:11:40 no oh good lord Kyle have you used comic
2:11:43 Factory what do you think yeah I I
2:11:45 haven't used it in a while um so here's
2:11:47 pika's P's version of this this um I
2:11:49 think comic Factory is really
2:11:50 interesting oh this is much better holy
2:11:52 [ __ ] look at this dag dag
2:11:57 people okay that's
2:12:02 good Kyle what do you think about web 3
2:12:04 I don't fully understand the difference
2:12:05 yet well web 3 I mean so what I think
2:12:09 about web 3
2:12:11 is the Crypt Bros and the
2:12:15 [Music]
2:12:16 blockchains are in a well deserve
2:12:20 timeout you
2:12:22 know when when you lose billions and
2:12:25 trillions of dollars of people's money
2:12:27 CU you just invested it in some [ __ ]
2:12:31 coins they deserve some timeouts and and
2:12:34 also like there there
2:12:37 are the
2:12:40 the it's so [ __ ] exhausting like the
2:12:43 whole crypto thing you still have to be
2:12:45 you you effectively have to be a hacker
2:12:48 right now now to be in crypto you you
2:12:51 have to be a hacker you have to
2:12:53 understand there's different wallets and
2:12:55 different chains and you got to bridge
2:12:57 from arbitrum to the thing to the thing
2:13:00 to you got to get on second level versus
2:13:03 first level and it's eth and it's this
2:13:05 and it's but eth is evil but don't do
2:13:07 eth but now it's solid now it's avac and
2:13:10 it's it's [ __ ] exhausting is what it
2:13:12 is that
2:13:14 said I think that tokenization and
2:13:17 blockchain technology and nft
2:13:21 technology is likely a huge part of the
2:13:25 solution set for
2:13:28 the just gargantuan amounts
2:13:33 of like terrifyingly good misinformation
2:13:36 we about to be dumped on I think the 20
2:13:40 I think 2024 is going to be remarkable
2:13:43 on many many levels I think it's going
2:13:45 to be the technological advances that
2:13:48 we're going to see in 2024 are going to
2:13:51 dwarf 2023 like it's I like seriously I
2:13:56 like I don't even think we'll talk about
2:13:57 the [ __ ] we did in 2023 other than like
2:14:00 hey remember when we started and Cat GPT
2:14:03 was just like words and [ __ ] remember
2:14:05 when everybody thought prompt
2:14:06 engineering was the career of the
2:14:09 future like it's going to be [ __ ] like
2:14:13 that so and then because the tools are
2:14:17 going to get so much better and because
2:14:19 it's an election here here in Crazy
2:14:21 country
2:14:22 um there's just going to be insane
2:14:25 amounts of misinformation and
2:14:27 so at the end at the end of that we're
2:14:30 going to realize you know we got to do
2:14:33 something about this we've got to verify
2:14:35 that the person that made this is a
2:14:37 human that the person I'm interacting
2:14:39 with is a human that it's blockchain
2:14:41 verified that this live session I'm on
2:14:44 with them is actually with them and not
2:14:47 with some digitized version of them and
2:14:50 then if that person puts out a video I
2:14:54 want to be able to blockchain verify
2:14:56 that that the video that I'm watching
2:14:58 was made by a verified human being and
2:15:02 you know they're vouching for it and
2:15:03 it's it's blockchain verified that it
2:15:05 hasn't been
2:15:07 modified that's possible like that's
2:15:10 what tokenization is that's what it can
2:15:12 do it's absolutely going to be required
2:15:15 so I think that the the entire
2:15:21 sector
2:15:23 um needs to get their [ __ ] together and
2:15:26 needs to stop assuming that Aunt Edna is
2:15:31 going to understand how to you know
2:15:35 manage her crypto wallet and her keys
2:15:38 not your keys not your crypto I I'm
2:15:41 sorry what was my password again Grandma
2:15:44 you can't forget your seed phrase no I
2:15:46 didn't I put the seed phrase on it's
2:15:48 that's what's on those are the words on
2:15:50 the refrigerator no grandma you can't do
2:15:53 that everyone's going to steal your
2:15:54 crypto no but I put them I know it's
2:15:57 those cute words you know what I did I
2:15:58 mixed them up Grandma you can't mix them
2:16:01 up like no it can't be that so so they
2:16:05 got to fix some
2:16:08 [ __ ] but I think it's I think it's going
2:16:10 to be very very important um Pika doth
2:16:14 impressed me I don't know about you all
2:16:17 but that's pretty [ __ ]
2:16:20 good all right enough comedy
2:16:25 jokes that was a that was
2:16:28 a that was a session wasn't it let's go
2:16:32 look at the the comments I spoke to a
2:16:35 fullon AI receptionist at a real estate
2:16:37 company today we're going to see that
2:16:39 more and more I I personally when it
2:16:41 comes to customer service call centers I
2:16:45 want them all
2:16:47 gone sorry I do the the [ __ ] sitting
2:16:51 on hold for 45 minutes just to get on
2:16:55 the phone with someone that's got a
2:16:57 script that that they have to follow
2:16:59 that they can only take two actions from
2:17:02 and one of those is hang up on you and
2:17:04 one of those has put you on hold to talk
2:17:06 to someone else that system's got to be
2:17:08 flushed down the [ __ ] toilet I will
2:17:11 gladly talk to a robot if the robot can
2:17:14 answer my question and can take action
2:17:16 on my behalf so build that [ __ ] [ __ ]
2:17:20 I'm ready for it um with receptionists I
2:17:24 feel like we got rid of receptionists a
2:17:26 while ago and now with Co like I don't I
2:17:29 have not walked into an office that's
2:17:31 had a receptionist there in ages and now
2:17:34 they've got those iPad things where like
2:17:36 you just it's like an iPad directory so
2:17:39 I would actually probably welcome you
2:17:41 know an AI chatty
2:17:43 bot as a receptionist anyway cuz it's
2:17:47 like okay I can interact with it I don't
2:17:48 have to [ __ ] learn a new interface I
2:17:50 can just talk to
2:17:52 it phone trees press one press
2:17:56 four press one if you want to throw your
2:17:58 phone across the room press two if you
2:18:00 already have thrown your phone across
2:18:02 the room press three if you're smacking
2:18:04 your face into a brick
2:18:08 wall oh I am added to the weit list Pika
2:18:11 art any idea how long it takes no but
2:18:15 they they just opened that up it I I
2:18:18 don't know how overrun they are with
2:18:20 with
2:18:22 um I don't know how overrun they are
2:18:24 with their with their stuff so um they
2:18:29 they just opened this up not too long
2:18:30 ago I'll just leave that I'm going to
2:18:32 leave that running there that's really
2:18:34 [ __ ] slick I mean is it janky he's
2:18:38 doing some weird things with his leg
2:18:39 like his his hip seems it looks it looks
2:18:43 like he's he's having a spasm in his
2:18:47 hip
2:18:53 but but like yeah you could absolutely
2:18:55 cut that into a video and you know if it
2:18:58 was if it was a quick
2:19:00 cut looks like he's being chased by a
2:19:03 helicopter you know pretty
2:19:07 cool if there is no comedy I am out I
2:19:09 stay for the comedy yeah Emily
2:19:13 yes we do funny stuff around here they
2:19:16 they're funny people they're people I
2:19:18 like them I like them okay they're good
2:19:20 no they're good people they're good
2:19:22 people you know sometimes they I'll tell
2:19:24 you what I'll tell you what he does he's
2:19:27 got a potty mouth he's got a potty mouth
2:19:29 he absolutely does he'll say he'll drop
2:19:32 an F bomb like like it's just candy it's
2:19:35 like he don't even care and I don't like
2:19:38 that I don't like that one bit but then
2:19:41 he's funny I do like sometimes he's cute
2:19:43 sometimes he's got the funny thing but
2:19:45 boy he's got a potty mouth I don't I
2:19:48 don't know where he grew
2:19:50 up I don't know where he grew up I
2:19:53 guarantee it was north of the Mason
2:19:54 Dixon line I'll tell you
2:20:01 that my first job out of college was a
2:20:03 receptionist and an ad agency there you
2:20:05 go in Lexington and Grand Central that
2:20:07 must have been that must have been
2:20:09 something that was when people actually
2:20:11 came to offices and agencies had really
2:20:13 cool really cool offices and hip people
2:20:16 that wore hip clothes
2:20:20 I think the wait L list was like a month
2:20:22 or two I don't think I waited that long
2:20:25 for Pika I I got
2:20:29 Pika three
2:20:32 weeks he keeps saying
2:20:35 janky yippi I just got Pika nice forever
2:20:38 hooked
2:20:39 Yankee prove that you're a unique human
2:20:42 I can do that uh don't don't you
2:20:45 challenge me to prove I'm a unique human
2:20:47 I can absolutely do that let me see if I
2:20:50 can search for it let's see if Apple
2:20:51 search has gotten good let's see um
2:20:55 orb
2:21:03 yes
2:21:07 look World ID Anonymous proof of
2:21:13 personhood verified at
2:21:16 orb
2:21:18 that's my world ID that's my blockchain
2:21:21 verified
2:21:25 humanness does this verify my
2:21:28 qualifications no but what this does do
2:21:32 is it says I am a unique human
2:21:35 being and so this is by the way if you
2:21:37 don't know what this is this is Sam
2:21:39 alman's other company called
2:21:42 worldcoin and it's got three products
2:21:45 it's got World ID which is this which is
2:21:47 a human verification system right so he
2:21:51 doesn't need to know my name he just
2:21:52 needs to know that the holder of this
2:21:55 nft this is an nft they don't call it
2:21:57 that they call it an ID but this is an
2:22:00 nft on the
2:22:02 blockchain that says that the holder of
2:22:05 this whoever can transact with this is a
2:22:08 human being so they've got that they've
2:22:11 got worldcoin which is a
2:22:13 cryptocurrency and then they've got the
2:22:16 equivalent of like PayPal they've got a
2:22:18 transaction system and then they've got
2:22:19 a whole SDK for people to develop
2:22:22 applications on this system so I don't
2:22:25 know if this is going to be the system
2:22:27 that that survives but a scenario I
2:22:30 could see is that you could build the
2:22:33 equivalent of
2:22:35 Twitter where you can't be on that
2:22:38 Community unless you have one of these
2:22:40 so you know that every
2:22:42 person on that social network is an
2:22:46 actual person
2:22:48 and then you could build a publishing
2:22:50 system that says you can only publish
2:22:52 content into that system if you have one
2:22:54 of these and if you do that we're going
2:22:56 to blockchain verify that this person
2:22:59 generated that piece of content and then
2:23:01 we're going to blockchain verify what
2:23:04 that piece of content was and if that
2:23:06 piece of content gets copied and changed
2:23:09 that that verification gets
2:23:11 broken right so so the reason I got one
2:23:16 of these even though you know people
2:23:18 like why would you let them SC scan your
2:23:21 retina you're giving them all your data
2:23:24 no I already gave up all my data 20
2:23:25 years ago to Google we've already had
2:23:27 that discussion we've already all given
2:23:30 up our data they've got it all they do
2:23:32 like even if you didn't give up your
2:23:34 data didn't you see all that [ __ ] on
2:23:35 Facebook like 10 years ago where it
2:23:37 turned out that even if you didn't have
2:23:39 a Facebook account you actually had a
2:23:42 Facebook
2:23:43 account the data is gone the data's gone
2:23:47 gone
2:23:48 so why not so I've got one of these now
2:23:52 um what do I do with it nothing right
2:23:54 now cuz no one's built anything on this
2:23:55 thing but again I think 2024 we're going
2:23:58 to see so much crap and so much
2:24:02 destruction destructive Behavior with
2:24:05 content and scams and political attack
2:24:08 ads and just it's just going to be I I
2:24:11 think it's going to be relentless and
2:24:12 it's just going to be exhausting and I
2:24:14 think people are going to be like
2:24:15 someone's got to do something about this
2:24:17 and the first company that kind of
2:24:19 stands up and says I got a solution um I
2:24:22 think it's going to be is going to be
2:24:25 okay August 13th 2023 is when I got my
2:24:29 little ID a't that cool I think that's
2:24:32 cool but you know that's me I'm just a
2:24:36 nerdy
2:24:37 dweeb I'm a nerdy dweeb and you're not
2:24:40 but you might be if you're on this
2:24:42 channel you probably are you neuros
2:24:44 spicy weirdo you're irregular and you're
2:24:46 irregular and you're irregular too
2:24:50 yeah you can make
2:25:00 money can't take a screenshot of
2:25:04 what my yoga teacher went off about Tik
2:25:07 Tok stealing our data I tried to tell
2:25:09 her it's too late with companies like
2:25:11 Google and meta I know well so the the
2:25:13 the I mean the whole thing with Tik Tock
2:25:17 like the Congressional [ __ ] you know
2:25:19 what that's a result of right Google and
2:25:22 Facebook Google and meta they're
2:25:25 lobbyists going to um you know going to
2:25:29 Washington and saying hey Tik tok's
2:25:31 stealing all of our customers could you
2:25:33 make them illegal now it's not about our
2:25:35 [ __ ]
2:25:37 data it's the companies that stole our
2:25:39 data that are trying to get Tik Tok
2:25:41 banned not the not the [ __ ]
2:25:45 legislators follow the money follow the
2:25:50 data Tik Tok stealing our
2:25:55 data
2:25:57 what I'm sorry Google could you talk
2:26:00 about your data policies we don't do
2:26:05 that didn't you used to have a value do
2:26:07 no evil yeah we got rid of that
2:26:09 everything's good good to
2:26:16 go
2:26:20 is that Tik Tok gone yet did they get
2:26:22 rid of Tik Tok yet hey what's going with
2:26:24 the open AI did they fire Sam Alman what
2:26:27 they fired him that's great what they
2:26:30 rehired him what how how are we going to
2:26:33 get rid of them we got to get rid of
2:26:35 this AI we're going to make AI illegal
2:26:37 right get wait we we're going to get rid
2:26:39 of Tik Tock so okay Tik Tock first then
2:26:41 we're going to get then we're going to
2:26:42 get rid of AI
2:26:46 right
2:26:53 she was also mad about AI putting people
2:26:56 out of work she's also a writer yeah
2:26:58 listen I I don't I empathize with the
2:27:02 fear of AI putting people out of
2:27:05 work what's happening in this community
2:27:09 though is what people are realizing is
2:27:12 oh yeah AI is a risk to my job but AI is
2:27:16 also this amp fire that's given me a lot
2:27:18 more skills and a lot more opportunity
2:27:21 so anyone who gets aggressively curious
2:27:24 about AI right now is going to have
2:27:26 massive
2:27:27 opportunity anyone that waits for two
2:27:29 years I think is kind of [ __ ] because
2:27:33 if you're not AI literate at the end of
2:27:35 next year like I don't like 2023 it was
2:27:38 like a nice to have I think 2024 it's
2:27:41 going to be you better start getting
2:27:42 your [ __ ] together and if you wait much
2:27:43 longer than that you're going to be like
2:27:46 uh what happened where did everybody go
2:27:49 hey guys can I play oh you you're you're
2:27:53 you're on that ride that looks like fun
2:27:55 I like yes yeah congratulations that's
2:27:58 nice
2:28:00 like that's why I do
2:28:03 this um it's it's giving men shaking
2:28:07 fist at Cloud Vibes yeah exactly
2:28:10 exactly these AI kids
2:28:12 [Music]
2:28:16 are
2:28:18 if it weren't so predictable it would be
2:28:19 funny like it's just like like we
2:28:23 just we're just going to
2:28:27 witness Kodak moment after Kodak moment
2:28:30 and I don't mean like the picture taking
2:28:33 Kodak
2:28:34 moment I mean the hey boss we invented
2:28:37 the digital camera what do you think son
2:28:40 get out of here with that silly digital
2:28:42 stuff we're in the chemical business
2:28:44 here at Kodak it's all about silver h
2:28:49 lied am I right boys am I right you
2:28:53 think this py is going to go
2:29:01 away one after another after another the
2:29:05 next three years we're just going to
2:29:06 watch major corporation after major
2:29:08 corporation after major corporation get
2:29:11 upended by shitty little snot-nose
2:29:15 startups that have no reason beating a
2:29:18 company that big watch just
2:29:22 watch and if you're in
2:29:25 here you might be one of those
2:29:29 Founders you should hear the teachers oh
2:29:32 I bet well that's so just me and the
2:29:34 trees Mr K and just me and the trees we
2:29:36 starting a um an education guild at the
2:29:40 uh at the AI Salon headed up by me just
2:29:44 me and the trees and Mr K I'm really
2:29:46 excited about it
2:29:47 um so we talked about it in the
2:29:49 organizers meeting today um yeah I bet
2:29:51 yeah the teachers the and the
2:29:54 teachers like I have less and less
2:29:56 tolerance for teachers that are ignoring
2:29:58 this less and less because like your
2:30:00 [ __ ] teachers like like it's your job
2:30:03 to like look out on the horizon and say
2:30:05 okay what world are my students going to
2:30:08 be entering in four years or six years
2:30:12 or two years let me look and if if
2:30:15 you're paying attention at all to this
2:30:18 [ __ ] I mean look at that
2:30:23 thing someone is going into college
2:30:25 right
2:30:26 now to go learn how to
2:30:29 use really sophisticated Motion
2:30:33 Graphics
2:30:36 software that's going to take them four
2:30:38 years to get that degree they're going
2:30:40 to learn a bunch of
2:30:41 skills that by the time they get out
2:30:44 four years from now like we went from
2:30:46 like no video to that in a
2:30:50 year so what do you think it's going to
2:30:53 be at the end of next year and then what
2:30:55 do you think it's going to be in four
2:31:01 years it's going to be like make me a
2:31:05 movie about a motorcycle guy that Robs a
2:31:08 Bank in neotokyo and make it star these
2:31:12 people and play it
2:31:15 now
2:31:19 what's what's that person going to do if
2:31:22 they weren't paying attention to it what
2:31:24 Guild is that Kyle so okay so let me
2:31:27 share something with you all because
2:31:29 there's some new people in
2:31:31 here so this here Channel even though
2:31:34 it's kind of you know it borders on a
2:31:37 bit of dumb Dum Behavior sometimes on my
2:31:40 part is part of a larger thing called
2:31:43 the AI salon so the AI Salon this is a
2:31:46 Community I started the week after chat
2:31:48 GPT came out so a year we just
2:31:50 celebrated our one-year anniversary so
2:31:52 if you go to the
2:31:54 salon. the first link there will take
2:31:56 you to the mighty networks community so
2:31:58 it's where people in here kind of hang
2:32:00 out and like when when we're doing these
2:32:03 lives they share their images there but
2:32:04 but it's also it's a whole Community
2:32:06 where you can interact with people and
2:32:09 let me pop over and show it to
2:32:15 you
2:32:19 so if you come to the AI Salon that
2:32:22 first link in the in the the link I just
2:32:25 showed before um go to go to welcome to
2:32:29 the salon and this will tell you about
2:32:30 who we are why we do what we do what
2:32:32 we're about so basically we're about
2:32:34 supporting like anyone trying to figure
2:32:36 this AI stuff out that's what this
2:32:37 group's about and and we've got values
2:32:40 and I strongly like my my deep strong
2:32:44 request is that you go check out the Val
2:32:46 values make sure you resonate with them
2:32:50 because I want this group to grow but I
2:32:52 want it to I want it to retain the magic
2:32:54 it's got right now and part of what
2:32:56 makes it magic is that the people are
2:32:58 [ __ ] awesome and they're generous and
2:33:01 they're curious and they're adventurous
2:33:03 and so our values are derived from how
2:33:06 the people are acting right now and I
2:33:09 don't want that to change so that's why
2:33:11 these are articulated curiosity
2:33:13 generosity exploration collabor ation
2:33:17 right like find people to work with do
2:33:19 something cool together inclusion
2:33:22 empathy empathy is the last value on
2:33:25 purpose this shit's scary people are
2:33:27 pissed off people are
2:33:29 scared and so this group is about hey
2:33:33 you come in here and you're like I don't
2:33:34 know anything about this someone said I
2:33:36 should learn AI I don't know what to do
2:33:37 I'm scared come on in hey I've been in
2:33:41 AI for 30 years and I can teach you all
2:33:44 everything because I'm the super massive
2:33:45 expert okay come on
2:33:51 in man I've been in AI for 30 years and
2:33:54 I thought I was a super massive expert
2:33:55 and what I'm learning from you all is
2:33:57 holy [ __ ] I don't know anything what do
2:33:59 I do it's okay we got you that's what
2:34:02 this group's
2:34:05 about so if you don't resonate with
2:34:07 those values cool but you're probably
2:34:10 not going to dig this group and you're
2:34:13 not you're not going to fit in
2:34:15 then my next request is if you're like
2:34:18 yeah those are cool I like that go to
2:34:20 the community section and the first link
2:34:23 is introduce yourself and so my request
2:34:27 there is be generous it's one of our
2:34:29 values and introduce yourself there's
2:34:31 Terry spataro uh introducing her book
2:34:35 she spoke at the
2:34:37 salon
2:34:39 and yeah go introduce yourself and then
2:34:42 there's like a water cooler discussion
2:34:44 there's show and
2:34:45 tells and then
2:34:47 in the show and tell is where a lot of
2:34:49 the Irregulars are putting in artwork ah
2:34:51 there's the vibrat football game very
2:34:53 nice I like
2:34:55 that oh that's
2:34:57 cool
2:34:59 nice so she did a pixel art GPT and then
2:35:03 it looks like where did you put it
2:35:06 into oh these are
2:35:13 cool no AI
2:35:18 this is awesome yeah exactly we're going
2:35:21 to pass the law you know we accept no
2:35:23 waves over 10 feet we it's okay we
2:35:25 passed the law everyone's
2:35:27 safe what do you mean it's 50 feet
2:35:32 tall you you got a DUI at least it's not
2:35:39 AI it's all
2:35:41 janky um yeah so so this is this and
2:35:45 then down below all that are the guilds
2:35:48 so there's an AI 101 Guild and a a
2:35:52 making Art Guild and a writer Guild a
2:35:54 business Guild and uh Pate runs an AI
2:35:56 mechanics Guild so the the you know how
2:35:59 to figure out the back end of all this
2:36:00 stuff there's a healthc care Guild a
2:36:02 video Guild and now we're adding an
2:36:04 education Guild um and it's going to be
2:36:07 it's going to be headed up by two
2:36:09 Educators who are super passionate about
2:36:11 this stuff and it's GNA be awesome so
2:36:15 yeah go
2:36:16 join this go get the to get the to a
2:36:22 nunnery
2:36:24 go yep manred AI cannot be stopped it
2:36:28 can't it like chat GPT saw to that it's
2:36:32 like it it maybe could have been stopped
2:36:35 if when chat GPT launched nobody cared
2:36:38 and you could consolidate the power in a
2:36:40 handful of companies but that's not what
2:36:42 happened everybody lost their mind all
2:36:45 the money went to invest in it the open
2:36:47 source Community right now is massive so
2:36:50 this is it's going to be ubiquitous
2:36:55 technology all right I got to get my ass
2:36:57 out of here it's Friday night
2:37:00 people um family's doing okay right now
2:37:04 we got we got the uh we got the vid
2:37:07 running rampant here in the house not
2:37:10 video the co um so people are doing well
2:37:14 but dag you know know wait someone said
2:37:18 wait okay I'll wait wait for
2:37:25 what wait I have a question okay do
2:37:30 you wait the person's name is do you so
2:37:33 do you do you have a question okay I see
2:37:36 that you have a question what's your
2:37:39 question do you have a question yes I
2:37:42 have a question and stop calling me do
2:37:44 you but that's my name it sounds like an
2:37:46 airplane
2:37:49 joke all right put your question in
2:37:51 there I'll do my best to answer it I I
2:37:53 will also do my best to if I can't
2:37:55 answer it say that I can't answer
2:38:00 [Music]
2:38:02 it AI is creating an okay human model of
2:38:06 each user of
2:38:07 AI yeah yeah potentially I think I think
2:38:11 what's going to happen Spike Jones is
2:38:13 it's going to be more like it's just
2:38:14 like Google Google gave us a bunch of
2:38:17 [ __ ] for free and we're like okay here's
2:38:19 all my data I still get to play with the
2:38:22 free [ __ ] right I think it's going to be
2:38:24 the same with AI where people are going
2:38:25 to put out these AI tools we're going to
2:38:27 make our own
2:38:28 avatars and so like the AI doesn't have
2:38:32 to take all of our identity we're going
2:38:34 to give it up
2:38:37 willingly
2:38:41 um oh yeah there's also so that's a good
2:38:44 point jery so in the AI Salon there's
2:38:47 also um clubs so so guilds are sort of
2:38:51 AI Salon sponsored you know guilds and
2:38:55 then there are clubs so people can start
2:38:57 separate clubs Ann Murphy has got a GPT
2:39:00 building Club so you can ask to be a
2:39:03 part of that if you're a part of the
2:39:05 salon and she meets Saturdays and they
2:39:08 build gpts so she's meeting tomorrow
2:39:10 she's meeting tomorrow at noon noon
2:39:14 Pacific I'm a programmer and I want to
2:39:16 bet benefit from Ai and create my own
2:39:19 business what do you
2:39:26 recommend I don't I don't know nearly
2:39:29 enough about who you are what your
2:39:31 skills are what your experience is what
2:39:36 starting a business would look like so
2:39:39 so what I would say is
2:39:42 don't don't worry so much about any
2:39:45 specific AI
2:39:47 technology but I would get rabidly like
2:39:51 rabidly if you're a programmer I would
2:39:54 get rabidly curious about AI assisted
2:39:58 coding
2:39:59 tools so chat GPT can help you code um
2:40:04 GitHub co-pilot can help you code Google
2:40:07 bard can help you code there's a bunch
2:40:09 of tools out there that
2:40:14 are going to assist you in coding which
2:40:16 is going to help you professionally but
2:40:18 more
2:40:19 importantly it's going to be expected
2:40:22 that any developer is using those tools
2:40:24 because they're just so much more
2:40:26 efficient so so so I would do that I
2:40:29 would also if I if I were you get um
2:40:33 actively involved in open- Source
2:40:35 projects I would follow David Shapiro on
2:40:38 YouTube um if you go to the AI
2:40:42 salon and in the community section
2:40:45 there's 's um a page or I forget I think
2:40:50 they call these spaces there's a space
2:40:52 called AI tools and resources and in
2:40:55 here are a bunch of tools you can play
2:40:57 with there's not a lot of programming
2:40:58 Tools in here but at the bottom are
2:41:01 people to follow and if you're a
2:41:03 developer the the guy that I would
2:41:05 strongly recommend you follow is David
2:41:08 Shapiro so it's on YouTube his his
2:41:11 handle is Dave shap D a v s haap p
2:41:16 um he's got an open-source project of a
2:41:20 cognit cognitive
2:41:22 architecture um he's written five books
2:41:25 on AGI he's he's just if you're a geek
2:41:29 you should follow him
2:41:34 um and then in terms of starting your
2:41:37 business I mean I don't [ __ ] know
2:41:39 like you could start an AI Consulting
2:41:41 business you could start a a rapid app
2:41:45 development business where where you
2:41:48 could just turn around apps faster than
2:41:50 you know traditional people but that's
2:41:51 going to that's going to very quickly um
2:41:55 get subsumed the other thing you can do
2:41:57 if you're technical is you could get in
2:41:59 the AI operations side so like
2:42:03 understanding what tools are possible
2:42:05 which ones are secure which ones
2:42:07 aren't understanding what business needs
2:42:09 are and requirements and helping them
2:42:11 set up their AI infrastructure and their
2:42:13 policies and their governance like it's
2:42:16 just it's such a broad [ __ ] question
2:42:18 so the the the the easy answer
2:42:23 is go all in on on understanding what
2:42:27 tools are out there and what they make
2:42:29 possible because if you haven't done
2:42:31 that yet it it's going to blow your
2:42:33 [ __ ] mind it's going to blow your
2:42:35 [ __ ] mind like you will have I I I I
2:42:39 I saw like a flag there so I don't think
2:42:41 you're from the states but in the states
2:42:44 there's this movie called home alone and
2:42:45 the character in it is Kevin McAllister
2:42:47 and he has this moment where he goes
2:42:52 ah when you start playing with these AI
2:42:55 tools you will have that moment you will
2:42:57 probably have many of them and just keep
2:42:59 going don't don't let it scare you away
2:43:02 like lean into it rather than lean away
2:43:05 from it cuz when you see how quickly it
2:43:08 can
2:43:10 code and how well it can code even if it
2:43:12 ain't perfect it's going to blow your
2:43:15 mind so so all right thank you you're
2:43:17 very helpful awesome I hope that helped
2:43:19 um again don't start with the technology
2:43:22 start with what you want like what are
2:43:24 you good at what are you passionate
2:43:26 about what problem do you think you can
2:43:29 solve and then say okay what AI tools
2:43:33 are out there that can help me do that
2:43:34 and what you're going to find is that
2:43:36 there are remarkable tools out there so
2:43:40 awesome okay everybody my voice is
2:43:44 gone
2:43:46 um I will enjoy the ride until the
2:43:49 robots kill us all that's you know it's
2:43:51 funny manred it's like that that's part
2:43:53 of my part of why I have such Joy about
2:43:56 this is what I'm focusing on is what can
2:44:00 I control what I can control is how I'm
2:44:03 using Tech and how I'm talking about
2:44:05 tech and how I'm encouraging people to
2:44:07 explore Tech and there's a bunch of [ __ ]
2:44:11 out of my control that's really scary
2:44:12 but it's out of my control so I can't do
2:44:14 anything about it so so this is like
2:44:17 well [ __ ] it let's have a party until
2:44:19 the robots come and shut our party down
2:44:23 so anyway um thank you to all the mods
2:44:25 thanks for hanging out on a Friday night
2:44:28 for Christmas hopefully you're avoiding
2:44:30 some awkward family conversations by
2:44:32 being here but but great seeing you all

2:44:55 I was thinking EMP but they are they're
2:44:58 they are in Faraday cages already I say
2:45:00 plug them all and uh and in the same
2:45:03 power strip oh plug them into the the
2:45:05 same power strip yeah I know the EMP
2:45:07 thing is really the only option back to
2:45:09 the Stone Age people uh manred thank you
2:45:12 very much who else uh do you thanks for
2:45:17 asking the question that was good Andrea
2:45:19 good to see
2:45:20 you uh who else is here jrc I saw cuno
