14. 3:07night is demo night. Uh, I'm going to be demoing stuff. I'm going to be building stuff. I'm going to be figuring out
15. 3:14things that I want to little mini little mini prototypes I want to do. I'm I'm I'm experimenting with things I want to
16. 3:21do for the uh for the back to basics course coming up in the uh third week of August. Um, what I'm going to do tonight is attempt
17. 3:32to rediscover what it would be like to completely start from scratch cuz I've been I've been doing this too
18. 3:44long and the things that I think are simple are not >> and uh so I want to rediscover some simplicity. So that's what we're going
19. 3:52to be doing tonight. So, if you're new to this AI stuff, might be a fun night to come hang out.

24. 5:21All right. Fantastic, man. I am loving using codeex voice as part of my writing process. I definitely think verbally.
25. 5:29Um, that's a that's a really good uh really interesting point. And I think as these voice tools get better, there's a
26. 5:39couple of things about the voice interface um that's kind of a mess, right? One is it's just janky. Um it sometimes works,
27. 5:48it sometimes doesn't. Um, but the other one is you kind of lose track of your projects and so there's no real easy way
28. 5:55to know which projects you're talking to and which ones are working and things like that. So I'm sure there's some sort
29. 6:01of way to do that. I saw someone created an app that kind of visually shows all the different projects. Um,
30. 6:09but yeah. Yeah, talking talking into this thing while it goes off and does some writing is really interesting. But
31. 6:16also hearing it read back writing is that is it are you going to judge it differently than if you hear it talking
32. 6:22back to you? I don't know. It's it's it's fascinating. It's absolutely fascinating. Um, one thing that I did
33. 6:30here that I kind of like is, um, these things are good enough now and they have big enough context windows now
34. 6:40that one of the best ways to prompt is just put it in voice mode and just ramble for like 20 minutes. Just
35. 6:47literally brain dump into it and then let it sort it all out. Um, I use git repos to track continuity. That's very

47. 8:54lot of these tools work. Uh, I I also know not how a lot of them work, but I'm willing to play the town fool and and
48. 9:04let you see how how I stumble through trying to get some of these things to work. Um, I think that's one of the best
49. 9:12ways to learn AI is just literally stumble through it and play and like have some fun with it. So, I tend to do

81. 14:54Why do I do this? because I believe that AI is the most transformative technology in our history. We're early and I know it's not going
82. 15:07away. And if it's not going away and it's transformative, then we only have two choices. You either deal with it or you
83. 15:15don't. And so it is it is my contention that it is better to deal with it and claim our reclaim our own agency and
84. 15:24say, "Hey, I'm going to figure out what this thing is and I'm going to use it as a way to amplify who I am and what I'm about
85. 15:32rather than compete with it and and try to I don't know like deal with it in some way other than this is stuff we get
86. 15:41to use." Um, so that's what this channel's all about. talking about it, playing with it, exploring it. So,
