5. 1:15show you get to sing and dog. You get soccer updates. They call it football. Football you can't use your hands with. The USA
6. 1:29not doing great. They're getting outplayed two to one. Two to one. Second half just started. All right. So, I got it on in the

19. 4:01[music] >> Good evening, good people. So, I've been playing with Fable for the past uh week
20. 4:15or so. I think I have not been using it well. Um it is it is impressive. >> [music]
21. 4:30>> But where the but the how I've been using it I'll talk about tonight. In fact, I'll probably actually show a
22. 4:42little of what I'm doing. So, I basically ping pong back and forth between Fable and Codex, ChatGPT, their their version of Cloud Code.
23. 4:55Um I bounce back and forth between them. Which which is good. Fable's good at understanding what's going on in Codex. Um
24. 5:11but one of the things that I'm learning is how to get my head around the difference between session memory and committed memory.
25. 5:25And when those get accessed and how those get accessed, from which tool and which way. It's it's complicated, this this brain
26. 5:33management thing. Um and I'm I'm I'm I'm setting myself up to teach a course on it. >> [laughter]
27. 5:46>> You know, I've said in this channel, how many more days for Fable? Tonight at midnight is the end.
28. 5:52Uh and it's not the end. Listen, if you want to keep doing Fable, you're just going to pay a ridiculous amount of
29. 5:57money for it. Uh cuz you have to use it on a per token basis. Um rumor is that uh Chat GPT 5.6 is coming out tomorrow. Um
30. 6:08that would make sense to me. If Fable's going away, Open AI says, "Hey, here we've got one that's just as good. Come use ours."
31. 6:15Um I I think that could could grab some people. I saw a rumor that someone was [music] like uh Anthropic's just going to extend it and
32. 6:25let it live in your monthly subscription. Um probably not. Probably not at this point. >> [music] >> I mean, the feedback on Fable's been
33. 6:37really interesting. People that seem to know what they're doing are are like, "Holy [ __ ] this thing's amazing."
34. 6:43There's a lot of people like, "Ah, it's not all it's cracked up to be." Cuz they're probably prompting it shittily. By the way,

37. 7:08apparent to me >> [music] >> is that people that know what they're doing are like, "You don't always need Fable.
38. 7:19You can use this model in this situation and that model in that situation. And if you're doing these kind of things, you
39. 7:25use these two models. And then when you need this, that's when you call Fable in." And while I appreciate that,
40. 7:38that kind of required critical thinking is not how people are going to use these models. So, like it's like one of the things
41. 7:46that I try to do is is play a bit of the town fool when I use AI. I try not to get super sophisticated in
42. 7:55terms of prompting schemes. I'm trying to keep this creating my own personal brain as simple as possible. Um failing at it. It's getting
43. 8:05complicated. Um But I think that So, this is one of the things I'm going to talk about tonight.
44. 8:19Time was if you just had kind of two or three flavors of a model, you had the big fat one, and you had the really skinny one,
45. 8:28and you had the medium one. It was kind of like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. You know, you could sort of figure it out. But now it's
46. 8:35the Mythos class model. There's Mythos, there's Fable, and then there's medium thinking, high thinking,
47. 8:43extra high thinking, and max thinking. Well, when do you use the different thinkings? And then when do I use the
48. 8:49different thinkings for Sonnet? And there's Sonnet max similar to Fable shitty? I don't know. So, what this says to me
49. 9:02is that we're still very very early. We're still very very early. If you're feeling clueless and left out, um welcome to the club.
50. 9:12I pay attention to this stuff every day. Every day. And you know what I'm feeling? Clueless and left out. >> [laughter]

69. 13:32>> The reason that I didn't initially lean into open-source models and programming harnesses like cursor and replet and
70. 13:50cloud code and all that sort of [ __ ] is that it's a very complicated world and it it it kind of requires you to be geeky
71. 14:05hyper educated hyper aware of what's happening even though there's too much happening to keep track of and you have to be willing to
72. 14:18put in a tremendous amount of effort to get something up and running that's kind of useless and then just do it again and again and
73. 14:26again and again and again and so like you get these things up you get them working and they're like almost as good as the thing three
74. 14:35models ago and oh Christian Pulisic is either hurting or crying he's on the bench he's out oh boy well USA

87. 17:00using them back and forth. I just don't think it'll be interesting, so I may get in there and answer questions. I don't know. We'll see.
