haven't played a 3:08 ton with it but people seem to be 3:10 getting some remarkable stuff out of it 3:12 and it can do text and apparently it's 3:14 got coherence prompt coherence like do 3:17 does so if you say really specific 3:20 things in your prompt apparently they 3:21 show up there but maybe that's something 3:23 we play with 3:24 tonight um we can do that yeah lovely 3:29 image here uh from Danielle I have a 3:31 couple others that I pulled out Sher did 3:34 some really cool ones today got an 3:36 exciting thing that we we cooked up on 3:39 the live last night that I'm going to 3:42 announce 3:44 tonight I got a we've got a we've got a 3:46 save the date mark your calendar it 3:49 announcement coming up you don't want to 3:52 miss it so you can't leave now you're 3:53 like oh come but just tell us now I want 3:56 to go I've got relatives to argue with 4:00 with no you bring those relatives in 4:03 here you say Hey 4:06 listen we're going to do some Edge ofen 4:09 we're going to teach you about this AI 4:11 crap I don't want to learn about AI you 4:15 know I'm not very technical 4:19 Sally I don't like all that fancy 4:21 computer stuff you know that 4:23 right why do they always have that look 4:25 on their face the 4:29 relatives 4:30 [ __ ] with 4:32 that you know you know the ones that 4:34 have that look on their face they're the 4:36 ones that always said you know if you if 4:38 you keep your face like that it's going 4:40 to stay like 4:43 that they are living proof that that's 4:47 true oh 4:50 man it's Christmas Adam because Adam 4:53 comes before Eve good well hey man 4:56 cheers Saturday night you go Adam 5:01 [Laughter] 5:05 that's 5:08 [Music] 5:09 hilarious all right love that T-shirt 5:11 design thank you yep New 5:14 York established 5:18 1898 is it that 5:20 recent no oh really that seems that 5:25 seems Mighty recent in history for one 5:28 of the colonies to be established 5:31 although maybe it's New York City New 5:34 York New 5:37 York 1898 still seems 5:40 late maybe we 5:42 didn't um incorporate cities until then 5:47 maybe they they weren't the laws I don't 5:50 know we could ask Chad j Chad Jay could 5:53 tell us you know 5:55 that um welcome everybody my name's Kyle 5:58 Shannon this is the AI learning lab what 6:00 we do here is just 6:04 Insanity we come here every night even 6:07 on like Christmas 6:09 weekends and we talk about AI [ __ ] and I 6:12 demo stuff I answer questions so if you 6:14 have questions about AI if you're just 6:16 getting started and the 6:19 evenings are all over the place uh one 6:23 of the nicknames of this channel is chat 6:25 add so if you're neuros spicy and uh 6:30 are a card carrying member of the ADHD 6:32 Club you'll probably dig it if you like 6:36 order and predictability this may not be 6:39 the channel for 6:44 you um but generally you all determine 6:48 where we go uh throughout the night so 6:50 there's some mods in here that'll grab 6:52 your questions by the way hey mods thank 6:54 you for doing what you do and they'll 6:56 they'll pop them up so I can see them 6:58 and then I'll just I'll just sort of go 7:00 on on a bit of a tear um I do want to 7:04 share um I redid the recommended AI 7:09 tools list on the AI salon and so that's 7:13 revamped so I want to show that so if 7:16 you're wondering where the where do 7:18 start with this stuff I can get you up 7:20 to speed on that if you want if you want 7:23 to know if you want a bunch of rabbit 7:25 holes to run down for the next week um 7:28 we can get you set up on that I'll tell 7:30 you about the AI salon and what that is 7:32 we'll talk about a new 24-hour challenge 7:35 we're doing because I'm an 7:38 idiot so so on November 30th we did a 7:42 24-hour chat GP 7:44 Aon and then last night someone said you 7:46 should do another 24-hour thing and I 7:48 said you're a dumb dumb and then and 7:52 then I thought you know maybe we'll do 7:53 it cuz it's between Christmas and New 7:56 Year's no one's working so we might as 7:58 well do something cool 8:00 so had an idea last night met with Ann 8:04 Murphy today and uh yeah we got some 8:06 cool stuff cooking up thank you be Not 8:08 Afraid appreciate that appreciate the 8:12 Roses 8:14 steo what's shaking thank you ion 8:18 China uh where to begin where to begin 8:22 let's go see what people are saying 8:23 what's happening hey Apple user thank 8:26 you for all the subscribers and all the 8:28 early hellers and the 8:30 people that are the hundred people that 8:32 are joining on Christmas Eve eve it's 8:37 like you're just waiting for Santa's in 8:40 the form of Sam Alman now like is Sam 8:42 gonna drop a new version of chat GPT it 8:45 feels like Christmas Eve well it's 8:47 Christmas Eve 8:48 [Laughter] 8:57 Eve oh man 9:01 all right fantastic Bob Telly mone's one 9:05 I loved messing around with mid Journey 9:06 best I've seen good all right yeah I 9:08 think we'll do that tonight I'll go play 9:10 with I'll go play with that we played 9:11 last night with Deco here we played with 9:14 Pika I got actually really good results 9:17 honestly I got my first good results 9:21 from a image to 9:24 video thing like Runway ML and Pika and 9:28 Deco here there's a bunch of things that 9:30 will take an image and turn it into 9:32 video and I got my first like actually 9:36 really good result last night that was 9:38 that was exciting I don't do a ton of it 9:39 so am I late there's you know you know 9:43 we've already done the Preamble we 9:45 already did roll 9:47 call Amelio's wife wasn't here you know 9:50 what it feels like it's buer 9:54 buer 9:56 buer nothing and and now we were just 10:00 getting ready to get started and she's 10:01 like am I late well yeah yeah you're 10:04 late another demerit another 10:06 demerit you should see her report card 10:09 it's nothing but red check 10:11 marks one after another after there 10:14 there are like three green check 10:16 marks so sad anyway good to see you ao's 10:20 wife welcome welcome 10:25 welcome oh she beat you by two apple use 10:30 it's good I like that I like that 10:32 there's a competition for who gets in 10:34 here first y'all are so 10:36 weird I just joined what is a 10:39 recommended AI tool for image to video 10:42 um all right you asked for it so so let 10:47 me here's here's what we'll 10:49 do I'm going to give you a whole giant 10:51 list but you're not going to have to 10:52 write them down because I'm going to I'm 10:54 going to send you to a place where you 10:55 can go just go click on the 10:57 links um 11:00 and we and we'll get to the image to 11:01 video stuff Cheryl Cheryl Anderson 11:03 welcome by the way thank you thank you 11:05 for your question so here's what we're 11:07 going to do I'm going to jump over 11:10 to oh that's sneak peek 11:13 there not going to show that just yet 11:16 okay 11:18 so I'm going to talk to you about the AI 11:21 salon so the AI Salon is a community 11:25 that this channel in a weird way is kind 11:27 of an extension of the AI salon so the 11:28 AI salon is a group I 11:31 started a year ago the week after chat 11:34 GP launched last year I started this 11:37 group because I I just had this funny 11:41 feeling that oh this AI stuff is kind of 11:43 like the worldwide web stuff was in the 11:45 mid 90s and back then I started this 11:48 group called the worldwide web artist 11:49 Consortium which was a a New York City 11:51 based group that was kind of like the 11:55 you know anyone doing anything in web in 11:56 New York City back in the mid 9s was was 11:59 part of whack whack is what we called it 12:02 and I thought this AI Stuff 12:05 felt even more um revolutionary than the 12:08 worldwide web did back then and so this 12:11 group is think of it right now because 12:13 this AI stuff is so new to a lot of 12:15 people think of it kind of like your 12:17 support group so so many of you are home 12:20 with your families and you're like hey 12:21 guys I'm really excited about this AI 12:23 stuff and they're like shut up about the 12:25 AI stuff we don't want to hear about the 12:27 a AI stuff Jenny it's all talk about the 12:30 AI stuff maybe we should talk about how 12:31 we're going to deep fry the turkey so if 12:34 you're having those kind of 12:36 conversations this is where you go so 12:39 this is full of a bunch of people who 12:41 have chosen to be on the AI Adventure 12:43 hence that image right we're we're we're 12:46 we're a bunch of Misfit ragtag neru 12:49 Wells you know journeying together into 12:53 whatever the abyss of this stuff is so 12:55 that's what the AI Salon is so if you go 12:57 to the salon. there's three links there 13:00 the first link is to the community which 13:02 I'm going to go show you in a second 13:03 it's a mighty networks Community it's 13:05 really good second link is to our Meetup 13:07 we meet every other week and then the 13:09 third link is to a merch store and if 13:11 you if you end up buying any merch it 13:14 actually supports the salon so you know 13:16 feel free to do that but the salon 13:18 itself is free you don't have to pay 13:19 money there's no membership fees it's it 13:21 really is just it honestly seriously is 13:25 just a place for people to gather and 13:27 share knowledge and collaborate be cool 13:30 okay so and and this is going to come 13:33 back around Cheryl to your question 13:35 about what's a good image to video tool 13:37 I promise this is Chad add but but I'm 13:40 on 13:41 a I'm on a I'm I'm on a path here okay 13:46 so when you go to the hang 13:51 [Music] 13:53 on when you go to the AI 13:56 Salon first place I want you to go and I 13:58 think it just just drops you in here 14:00 when you go when you go to the when you 14:01 click on the link is welcome to the 14:04 salon and so when you go to welcome to 14:06 the salon it talks about who we are 14:08 we're a community of extraordinary 14:10 adventurers exploring the AI 14:13 unknown and we talk about why we do what 14:15 we do and and you know how we do it and 14:18 and what we're trying to accomplish and 14:20 then we also talk about our values and 14:22 so my request is go to the mighty 14:26 networks and check all this stuff out 14:28 check out what we're about and check out 14:31 our values and the values they're not 14:33 super radical um but but they're really 14:36 really important right this is a this is 14:38 a community of remarkably generous 14:42 people who are who are up to some 14:44 amazing things from all walks of life um 14:47 so one of our values is curiosity one of 14:49 them is generosity like if you learn 14:51 something share it you know don't be 14:53 stingy with what you're learning um 14:56 exploration is one of the values um wait 14:59 it looks like my edge browser is about 15:01 to crash collaboration is one of our 15:04 values o this does not look good we're 15:06 going to have to come back to this hang 15:09 on uh inclusion and empathy so let me 15:13 just let me just muddle through this for 15:15 a second here I I'm you know what no I'm 15:17 going to quit hang on hold Microsoft is 15:21 so so here let me explain what's 15:23 Happening Here I Am a tab hoarder hi my 15:26 name is Kyle I'm a tab hoarder so I've 15:29 got I don't know 50 or 60 tabs open 15:32 right now and Microsoft Edge does not 15:35 like that so it crashes pretty 15:38 regularly and I'm pretty sure I'm pretty 15:41 sure she just went South on us there 15:44 Bob so yeah because it's not letting me 15:47 quit so we're going to force quit this 15:48 bad boy hold hold please old man trying 15:53 to use 15:54 technology what' you do Christmas Eve I 15:57 don't want to talk about it did you 15:59 watch that old guy on Tik Tok again shut 16:01 up 16:10 Jane sounds a lot like Red Green show I 16:13 don't know what Red Green show is Karen 16:23 vigilantism Dums just dumb dumbing 16:27 around this is th this channel I I've 16:30 realized is just just like a a an 16:33 ongoing fever dream you know stream of 16:36 Consciousness out of my ADD riddled 16:39 brain that occasionally you know does 16:42 some interesting 16:45 [ __ ] 16:48 um 16:57 wait oh come 17:12 on okay we're in we're in Bob tell him 17:16 what he's won you haven't won a goddamn 17:18 thing this isn't a game show Fred why do 17:21 you always say that it's a Tik Tok 17:23 Channel 17:26 okay where's my 17:30 [Laughter] 17:34 that's open AI hang on people here it 17:40 is one of the challenges of having stixy 17:43 tabs open is you just kind of have to 17:45 remember where in the stack they are and 17:48 oh yeah by the way if you say things 17:50 like um you know you could use a tab 17:53 manager I that does not help 17:57 thanks 17:59 open AI is the only what what was that 18:04 pain all right are we functional now 18:07 yeah we're functional now look at how 18:08 smooth that scrolling is 18:11 woo we have memory again okay so go 18:16 check out so when you get to the AI 18:17 Salon go check out who we are and what 18:19 the values are here's the deal with 18:21 values we didn't just make that [ __ ] up 18:24 those values are we sat down and we 18:27 said how does this community act and and 18:31 those were the answers and so why you 18:34 articulate those open AI is the only 18:37 thing worth a damn from Microsoft I know 18:39 it really is like oh my God it's so true 18:42 Pate the the the jankiness of a product 18:47 that is this many years old is just 18:50 unacceptable but whatever and and I know 18:53 I could switch my default browser back 18:55 to Chrome but you know it's an add thing 18:58 we go over this 18:59 every 19:03 night um but but anyway back to the 19:05 values please check out the values if 19:07 you resonate with them you're like yeah 19:10 that sounds like my kind of people this 19:11 is going to be a community for you if 19:13 you look at those and and they look like 19:16 words from an alien planet this is not 19:18 going to be the community for you but 19:20 it's a it's a really good group and we 19:21 want to maintain that even as we grow 19:23 okay so then the next thing I request is 19:25 if you decide to join introduce yourself 19:28 so just come in say hi tell us who you 19:29 are what you're up to there's there's a 19:31 water cooler discussion area there's a 19:33 showand tell area which this has become 19:36 kind of a jam session nightly where as 19:38 I'm talk there's the deep fry in the 19:40 turkey 19:43 thing so so notice as I say stupid [ __ ] 19:47 people turn that into images and share 19:50 it in here it's it's become like a kind 19:52 of oh that's sweet 19:54 nice weirdos are us you know thank you 19:58 Ted 20:01 the Leaning AI leaning lab of pizza oh 20:03 that's really good because it never does 20:05 AI learning lab right that's very 20:07 good nice nice 20:10 octopi sto's got some Wicked prompt got 20:14 he's got going with ultra detailed stuff 20:17 this is from Sherry D put together a 20:19 Funko Pop GPT that'll make you g g make 20:23 you Funko Pop images that one's great 20:27 TK 20:30 Dolly kept me running around trying to 20:32 keep up with AI toys in the amazing 20:34 Irregulars that's good though that's a 20:37 good that's 20:38 solid um so anyway so that's 20:41 that um okay tools and resources Cheryl 20:44 I think it was Cheryl Cheryl asking 20:46 about the the tools okay so if you go to 20:50 the AI Salon there's a there's an um a 20:53 page a space called AI tools you can 20:56 suggest your own if you find Cool Tools 20:58 you can suggest your own and people have 21:00 been which is really cool um and then 21:03 there's the salon picks so this is a 21:05 list I just updated this this morning I 21:07 went on a little add hyperfocus tunnel 21:10 and I went through and I just updated 21:12 this completely including making easier 21:14 to 21:15 read um in both um light and dark modes 21:19 I I I realized that when you had this 21:21 thing in light mode you couldn't read 21:23 any any of the any of the text that's 21:25 now in Orange it was in yellow and you 21:27 couldn't read it okay so if you're just 21:30 getting started with with 21:33 um with what's it called with 21:36 AI the place you want to start is chat 21:40 GPT it's it's still the best they 21:42 they're the ones that set off all this 21:44 pandemonium 21:46 about let's see hang 21:48 on is that better I think that's better 21:53 focus um they're the ones that set off 21:55 all this all this sort of craziness 21:57 about AI um and no one has caught them 21:59 yet so the free version of Chachi BT is 22:02 called Chachi BT 3.5 it's really good um 22:06 it's very very fast and so if you've 22:09 never played with chat GPT or if you're 22:11 with an Edna right now and she's like oh 22:13 God I don't want to I don't feel like 22:15 learning anything tonight 22:17 Tanya if you're Tanya just show her how 22:21 it works just just [ __ ] fire it up 22:24 right now go to chat. 22:26 open.com and say please write me a a uh 22:31 mold spiced apple punch 22:35 recipe write me a poem about spiced 22:39 punch write me a poem about Nana's Dance 22:43 Hall 22:44 Days write me a python application that 22:48 will control my Raspberry 22:51 Pi anything just just go there and have 22:54 fun 22:56 okay now if if you pay 20 bucks a month 22:59 to Sam mman and his Crazy Crew over 23:02 there at open AI you get chat GPT 4 it's 23:05 called chat GPT plus and I actually went 23:08 in here today and I wrote down all the 23:11 things that you get for that 20 bucks a 23:13 month it's actually insane so so like 23:16 chat GPT is like good it's it's you can 23:19 do you know stuff fast and you can do 23:23 chatty kind of things and you can do 23:25 coding and it's actually really useful 23:27 but here's all right let's see Red Green 23:29 show 23:30 Canadian posum Lodge oath when all else 23:33 fails play dead that's really 23:37 good um so here's all the things that 23:40 that chat gp4 does it does the B basic 23:42 text stuff writing document analysis 23:45 coding all the stuff that GPT 3.5 does 23:49 it's much 23:51 slower but it is dramatically better 23:54 like it's really good at writing it's 23:56 really good at coding it's really good 23:58 at stuff like that then it's got this 24:00 thing called custom instructions where 24:02 you can basically give your chat GPT a 24:05 personality it's got internet access it 24:07 is now connected to the internet with 24:09 Bing it's got this thing called code 24:12 interpreter which is which is also 24:14 called in in different versions of their 24:16 marketing Advanced Data analysis um 24:19 where it will write and and execute its 24:22 own python code to do data analysis for 24:24 you it's insane it includes GPT vision 24:28 where you can upload images and it can 24:30 see them and understand them it it's got 24:32 Dolly 3 where it can make the images so 24:34 most of the images you see in show inel 24:38 uh have been from Dolly 3 although now 24:41 that mid Journey 6 is out there's I I 24:43 noticed there's been a mix and there's 24:45 also been more video in there which is 24:46 kind of fun um it's got a conversational 24:51 GPT which is currently only available in 24:53 the mobile apps actually this is 24:55 conversational GPT is actually available 24:58 in both um 3.5 and 4 but if you have the 25:03 the official chat GPT app you can talk 25:05 to it and then I put in here ask it to 25:07 translate for you like here 25:11 watch so I'm going to I'm going to 25:13 launch the chat GPT 25:15 app I'm going to put it in conversation 25:23 mode I'd like you to act like a 25:25 translator for me I'll speak in English 25:27 and then I want you to translate into 25:29 German without repeating the English is 25:31 that 25:35 okay sure I can do 25:37 that great go ahead with your English 25:40 sentence and I'll translate it into 25:43 German for you great a hedgehog fell 25:46 into the pond and stumbled upon a turtle 25:49 and the two of them got out of the pond 25:51 and dried off only to find out they were 25:53 being stared at by a 25:57 llama 26:07 [Music] 26:08 so if you didn't know that was available 26:10 that's available um and then the final 26:14 the final thing in chat GPT 4 is that 26:17 you can create and share what are called 26:20 custom gpts or gpts or 26:26 Bots you can 26:29 it it's just absolute Insanity what what 26:32 is possible now and like how deep this 26:35 this program goes so the thing I'm about 26:37 to announce for next Saturday is uh has 26:40 got to do with gpts we're going to we're 26:42 going to make some gpts together um and 26:45 what gpts are is you you basically give 26:48 it custom instructions like you say I 26:50 want to create a GPT that helps people 26:52 write business plans or I want to create 26:54 a GPT that helps people make groovy 26:57 images or want to create a GPT that you 27:00 know helps people make holiday cocktails 27:02 which is the first GPT I did was a was a 27:05 cocktail one um they're they're just 27:07 nuts and they're a blast to make you you 27:10 literally it requires zero 27:14 coding not like low code like you have 27:17 to learn a whole program to do it you 27:19 just tell it what you want it to do and 27:21 it makes you this this bot that you can 27:22 share with other people it's amazing so 27:25 that's that okay so and then there's uh 27:28 there's if you're a developer open AI 27:30 also has the the the chat GPT the open 27:33 AI playground which is where you can go 27:35 develop GPT application so that's all 27:37 chat GPT like all of that it's nuts okay 27:44 um other large language models there's 27:46 Claude Bard I moved perplexity up here I 27:50 demoted uh grock um from from the big 27:53 four because perplexity is the one that 27:55 keeps rearing its its pretty head and 27:58 then there's Microsoft co-pilot so these 28:00 four are the first the the the sort of 28:02 the big four after chat GPT then you've 28:06 got specialty large language models you 28:08 got Pi which is really good and 28:10 conversational so just like I talked to 28:13 Chachi PT right now you can talk to Pi 28:15 in their mobile apps you've got grock 28:18 which in my opinion is not currently 28:20 worth the 16 bucks a month cost to 28:22 access it but I have a feeling it's 28:25 going to get better and way more 28:27 integrated into X and I would assume 28:30 that in a in a fairly short amount of 28:32 time you won't need a subscription to 28:34 use it but we'll see um then you've got 28:37 um llama 2 from meta that's actually a 28:40 whole world of open-source large 28:42 language models that it's sort of the 28:43 tip of the iceberg for and then you've 28:45 got po which gives you access to lots 28:47 and lots of other large language models 28:50 um and and it's also got its own bot 28:53 maker where you can make and monetize 28:55 Bots there just like gpts so 28:58 all of these all of these things are all 29:00 just different versions of chat GPT 29:03 competitors of it collaborators with it 29:05 things like that okay image generation 29:08 you got Dolly 3 which you use inside of 29:11 chat GPT and Microsoft co-pilot you've 29:14 got mid Journey which just went to 29:15 version six and version six looks quite 29:18 impressive also mid Journey now has a 29:21 website where you it's in Alpha right 29:24 now so not everyone has access to it but 29:26 if you have access to it 29:28 um you can make images on a website 29:31 rather than in Discord which a lot of 29:33 people hate Discord and how mid Journey 29:36 currently works that's going to change 29:37 very very shortly here you have Kaa AI 29:41 which has this realtime what do they 29:43 call it thought to image generation 29:46 where you just draw shapes and it 29:48 automatically renders them into images 29:51 Leonardo now has all sorts of features 29:54 which are just amazing then you got 29:55 Firefly which if if you're in corporate 29:57 America Firefly is really good just 29:59 because it hasn't been trained on 30:01 copywritten uh data um video generation 30:05 so here we are with the image to video 30:08 question if Cheryl's still here she's 30:10 like dude it's been like an hour like 30:13 are you going to ever get to this I'm 30:16 the turkey's 30:18 burning 30:21 um um so I actually organized these so 30:25 for video generation like text to video 30:29 the two big players right now are Runway 30:31 ML and pika pika Labs p. art 30:37 um they're both quite good they're also 30:40 both really really janky like getting 30:43 predictable results out of these things 30:45 is not good although I got to say that 30:48 both of them are doing things like 30:50 allowing you to draw on a certain part 30:52 of the image and just have Motion in one 30:55 part of the image um so they're they're 30:57 getting they're getting interesting also 31:00 Runway ml has this thing called Runway 31:02 TV oh which I didn't add the hyperlink 31:05 there hang on nah [ __ ] it I'll do that 31:07 later um Runway TV is like um like very 31:11 early Netflix or very early MTV um where 31:15 people are sharing videos they made with 31:17 run Runway ml um I have a feeling it or 31:21 something like it is going to be a very 31:23 big deal at some point not right now but 31:25 worth paying attention to and if you 31:28 make a video a movie with Runway ml you 31:31 can submit it to Runway TV and because 31:34 it's so early you'll get on there and 31:37 you know a year from now it's going to 31:38 be hard to get on there right you're 31:40 going to have to be an actual filmmaker 31:41 with credentials and qualifications 31:44 right now you just have to be someone 31:46 that made something so do 31:51 that okay um then the next category of 31:55 these things is Avatar creation hey Jen 31:57 and D- ID these two also keep one one 32:01 uping them each other um there's another 32:05 there's another version of this uh 32:07 called Synthesia which which was kind of 32:09 one of the early players but I don't 32:11 hear them talked about Much Anymore um 32:14 they might be good but these are the 32:15 only two I'm paying attention to right 32:16 now hey Jen and D- ID those are they're 32:19 quite amazing um and then the last one 32:23 on video is a thing called visla which 32:25 is I'm just calling it a stock video 32:26 editor you tell it what you want like I 32:29 want a video of Cleveland in the fall 32:34 and it will go find stock video footage 32:36 of Cleveland in the fall Stitch it 32:39 together write a 32:42 narration speak the narration and put 32:44 music behind it and edit it all together 32:46 in in like a minute so amazing um it's 32:51 not particularly compelling video but if 32:53 you need to knock out a corporate video 32:55 really quick you can knock out a 32:56 corporate video really quick quick then 32:58 on the music and audio front you got 11 33:00 Labs you got sunno Ai refusion and sound 33:03 draw um 11 Labs is voice synthesis sunno 33:08 and refusion are text to song and sunno 33:13 just cut a deal with Microsoft so if you 33:15 go to co-pilot 33:17 microsoft.com you can ask it to write a 33:19 song and it will it's 33:22 amazing um then you got uh sound draw is 33:26 like a loop composer kind of like Garage 33:28 Band except it will 33:30 generate you tell it how long you want 33:32 the song You Want It Fast medium or slow 33:35 and what attributes and it'll write you 33:37 20 songs in about 15 seconds um so if 33:40 you need to knock out music quick that's 33:43 good enough it's a great site then you 33:46 got 3D worlds and objects um go play 33:49 with those they're really fun um 33:51 blockade labs in particular text to 3D 33:54 world is really cool I have a typo there 33:57 and then and then the last thing is 33:59 people you should follow so these are 34:01 the four right now that I think are um 34:05 are the are the biggies that that I 34:07 think are are relevant right now Ethan 34:09 mullik is probably top of the list he's 34:11 a Wharton business school Professor 34:13 really insightful go go follow his stuff 34:16 David Shapiro if you're geeky at all or 34:18 if you really want to understand the 34:20 future that we're entering he's really 34:24 good at explaining it um super iiac 34:28 neuros spicy self- declared neuros spicy 34:31 um all that sort of [ __ ] but but really 34:34 brilliant guy Paul rer from the 34:36 marketing AI Institute to give you a 34:38 sense of how early he is in the game he 34:41 started the marketing AI Institute in 34:43 2018 he was 5 years early and and like 34:47 all of a sudden this last year he became 34:49 a big deal but he's been at it for a 34:51 while so he's got really good 34:52 perspective on this and then Rachel 34:54 woods from the AI exchange here on Tik 34:56 Tok she's she she's the you know think 35:00 of uh if if if if there's yin and yang 35:03 you know this Channel and Rachel Woods 35:05 channel are kind of opposites right 35:08 she's about order and predictability I'm 35:11 about chaos and 35:12 nonsense um so if you're doing if you're 35:15 doing Biz stuff that's really good and 35:16 then there's some directories in there 35:18 so that's all of that is the recommended 35:20 list so that will take up not only your 35:24 week but probably the next month if you 35:27 really dig into 35:29 this this list in my it why I created 35:33 this this this list started it had three 35:36 sites on it when it started and then 35:38 I've just been adding to it and then I 35:40 had to categorize it and and and what's 35:42 what's happening is these tools are 35:44 getting more and more 35:45 capable and if you really want to be AI 35:48 literate these days you kind of have to 35:51 understand what's coming what's possible 35:53 and and as you can imagine just 35:56 understanding 35:58 like all of this [ __ ] from chat gp4 just 36:03 understanding what chat gp4 makes 36:05 possible is 36:07 Bonkers right so every one of these 36:10 links on this list is a whole another 36:13 Rabbit Hole you can go down um so don't 36:16 get overwhelmed like I have to learn all 36:18 this [ __ ] it's it's less like that and 36:20 more like think of it like this this is 36:22 a list of stuff that if you go play with 36:25 it just play and have a good time it 36:28 will serve you well because you'll start 36:30 to figure out the shape of what's 36:32 possible today and then as new things 36:35 enter the marketplace you'll go oh 36:38 that's actually a big deal cuz that's 36:40 something I've been trying to do and the 36:41 current tools don't do that really well 36:44 is this in Discord where can I find this 36:46 list so this list is in the AI salon so 36:50 if you go to the salon. a this is a link 36:54 tree the first link at the salon. is to 36:59 the mighty networks community that I 37:01 just told you that I just showed you 37:03 that list is in Mighty networks it's in 37:06 the community section in AI tools and 37:09 resources um but when you get to the AI 37:12 Salon go to the welcome to the salon 37:15 section and learn about what we're up to 37:18 so we talk about who we are why we're 37:20 doing it what our values are things like 37:22 that all 37:24 right so that's what it is and this 37:26 doesn't cost anything this is this is as 37:28 they say in uh in Toledo 37:32 free I don't understand why did he make 37:34 a comment about Toledo what's it got to 37:36 do with free Toledo is not free it's 37:39 it's part of America what I don't 37:41 understand what he's talking 37:42 about um you're my favorite robot dude 37:45 thank you very much I appreciate that I 37:48 assume you me AI dude but you know I'll 37:50 go 37:51 robot okay so I want to show you 37:54 something 37:56 cool 38:05 okay next 38:09 Saturday next 38:13 Saturday I don't I guess I'm trying to 38:15 think when we'll start we'll probably 38:23 start we'll probably start at 8:00 a.m. 38:26 Mountain 38:27 Pacific Time next 38:30 Saturday and then we're going to go for 38:32 24 hours and so here's what we're going 38:34 to do 38:36 so I teamed up with Ann Murphy from 38:39 empowered fundraiser so the AI 38:42 salon and empowered 38:45 fundraiser we're doing this thing called 38:47 the 24hour GPT for good challenge so 38:50 hashtag GPT for good so that's going to 38:52 be our 38:53 hashtag 38:56 um and by the way Sherry thank you for 38:58 this image look at this the name the 39:01 image that Sherry put together for us be 39:03 a good llama then do gpts for good so 39:07 what is this thing so what we're going 39:08 to do is this this is this is just 39:11 [ __ ] 39:12 insanity why we've decided to do this I 39:14 haven't quite figured out yet but 39:17 because I think it's so I think it's 39:18 going to be fun and I I wanted 39:21 to could we do something that would be 39:24 fun like a party um but that could 39:27 actually do some good in the world and 39:28 that's what this is going to be so what 39:31 it's going to be is this every 3 39:33 hours Ann and I are going to alternate 39:36 I'm going to come on Tik Tok and then 39:38 she's going to go on her Zoom channel 39:39 for she's got a weekend GPT 39:43 club and we're going to teach people how 39:48 to make a GPT for a nonprofit so we're 39:51 going to do a very specific GPT for 39:53 nonprofits so I want you to if you know 39:56 anyone 39:57 you know if you're part of a nonprofit 39:59 if you know anyone with a a nonprofit is 40:01 that a sight no this is going to be 40:04 we're going to organize this through the 40:06 AI salon so so join the AI 40:10 Salon um also if you just come to this 40:13 channel I'll be talking about this 40:15 throughout the week I'll I'll be I'll be 40:17 hyping it up I'm going to be the hype 40:19 man um and Ann's going to be hyping it 40:23 up and I want you all to Hype it up I 40:25 want you to share um share this and so 40:28 what we're going to do is this we're 40:29 going to hop on every three hours and 40:33 give GPT lessons so whoever shows up 40:36 we're going to walk them through how to 40:37 build a GPT for a nonprofit and it's 40:41 going to be a specific thing and it's 40:42 going to talk about the nonprofit and 40:44 their cause and it's going to have 40:45 built-in calls to action to to their 40:47 donate page it's going to be really cool 40:50 and then we're going to have people 40:51 share their gpts and we're going to have 40:53 them share them on the AI Salon we're 40:55 going to have them share them on Twitter 40:56 on linked in we're going to figure out 40:58 all that stuff it's not all the details 41:00 aren't there yet but and then we're all 41:02 going to use the hash GPT for good and 41:04 our goal is to build 100 gpts for 41:11 nonprofits um and it doesn't we could 41:14 you can build one for a nonprofit even 41:16 if you're not part of the nonprofit if 41:17 you just want to support it right and 41:19 make something that people can learn 41:21 about that nonprofit in the cause um so 41:23 that's going to be next next Saturday 41:28 the first session I think I'll do a 41:30 session at 8:00 a.m. 41:33 Pacific wait is it 8 a.m. no 9:00 a.m 41:36 wait 9:00 a.m. yeah 9:00 a.m. 41:40 Pacific I'll do one and then at noon 41:45 Pacific an will do one and then at three 41:48 Pacific I'll do one so it's going to be 41:50 like 312 9 wait 3 wait 912 3 6 92 36 so 41:58 we're going to do it for 24 42:00 hours and we're going to be exhausted 42:03 but it's going to be fun all right and 42:06 yeah I'll contact all my action groups 42:08 that's great Silver Fox and then and 42:11 then here's the deal if you already know 42:14 how to make gpts and you and you haven't 42:16 thought about doing one for your 42:18 nonprofit of choice all this week feel 42:21 free to make a GPT and put it out in the 42:24 world share it and just hashtag it GPT 42:26 for 42:27 good and then what we're going to do and 42:30 an has really generously you know one 42:32 one of the the salon values is 42:35 generosity what J what what what Ann's 42:38 going to do is at the end of this we're 42:40 going to figure out what the what the 42:42 time structure 42:43 is whichever GPT has gotten the most 42:46 shares or likes or engagement we'll 42:48 we'll figure out how to measure the 42:50 engagement you know mo most most likes 42:53 probably or or reposts or something um 42:56 which whoever GPT has the most and's 42:58 going to donate $250 to that 43:00 nonprofit I just think it's [ __ ] 43:03 amazing so anyway so that's that's GNA 43:06 that's coming I mean it's it's happening 43:09 and if you're like but Kyle like why 43:11 isn't there a website for this why isn't 43:13 there because this was an idea that 43:14 happened last night an and I talked 43:16 about it today and and you know Sher 43:19 threw together that image and I I threw 43:22 it on a slide but [ __ ] it why not this 43:25 is here's the deal 43:27 we now live in a world where these tools 43:30 are so powerful so this is effectively a 43:32 hackathon right so we're doing a 43:34 hackathon for nonprofits great you don't 43:37 have to be a hacker we don't actually 43:38 have to organize people that know what 43:41 they're doing the only requirement here 43:43 is you do need access to GPT 4 right you 43:46 need to be able to make a GPT now if you 43:50 want to hack the system and maybe I'll 43:52 put this as part of the uh part of the 43:54 training um you could also do this on 43:58 po.com poe.com because they have a bot 44:01 maker so if you don't have access to 44:04 chat 44:06 GPT you could do this as a poot as well 44:09 so everybody can 44:11 play um and we're just going to build it 44:13 and you'll see like if if you haven't 44:15 made one of these before it is so stupid 44:18 easy to make this incredibly powerful 44:20 thing and and it's we're going to make 44:22 it super super easy so you just show up 44:25 have your profit in mind or if it's your 44:27 nonprofit doesn't matter and we're going 44:30 to build some cool [ __ ] together all 44:33 right can we plan another one in like a 44:36 month give us time to go forth and grab 44:38 donations and like uh we we can I I mean 44:41 I I'm happy to do this I so so here's 44:44 the thing um Ann's got a decent 44:47 connection with open AI if anyone has 44:49 any connections with open AI I would 44:51 love to get open ai's PR team to like 44:55 retweet this or like get on their radar 44:57 that this is 44:59 happening um just cuz you know Sam's 45:02 jealous of me and all and I I want to I 45:04 want to smooth the waters over with Sam 45:06 so you know I'm hoping Sam could be like 45:09 all right Kyle's doing something kind of 45:11 cool all right yeah it's all right K 45:15 yeah that's cool all right fine you know 45:18 I don't know if you ever heard Sam talk 45:20 that's how he talks he's he's really you 45:22 know what it is he's just he's so 45:24 jealous of me it it colors every part of 45:27 his life and you just hear it in his 45:29 voice and it's like wouldn't it be nice 45:30 to free him of that so if you have 45:34 connections to to open 45:39 [Music] 45:41 AI Kyle I'm getting seasick what are you 45:44 doing could you stop that he's never 45:46 done that before what is he doing that 45:48 was very 45:49 disturbing Good 45:52 Lord I don't I don't I don't understand 45:55 this Chan channel one bit it's called 45:58 The Learning lab have we learned 45:59 anything yet I don't think so um Sam's 46:03 going to be mad he didn't come up with 46:05 this well see ex this is the this is the 46:08 problem Source 46:09 Camp I come up with these ideas and then 46:12 every single time Sam's like ah dang 46:15 it I should have come up with that and 46:18 like the one idea he comes up with we 46:21 should collect all of the data on all of 46:23 the internet and put it in this 46:25 remarkable technology like the one idea 46:27 I didn't come up with he's like taking 46:29 credit for it it's exhausting it's 46:33 exhausting all right what platform can 46:35 take a 2d Dolly image and make a 3D 46:38 model from it 46:40 yet it's not quite there yet Detroit J 46:43 Holden you can go to in the 46:47 um in 46:48 the AI tools and resources um on on AI 46:53 Salon in the 3D section 46:57 there's a site 46:59 called Luma Luma 47:02 labs. and it's text to 3D object it's 47:06 not image to 3D object there are I've 47:09 seen 47:11 probably 15 or 20 papers like white 47:15 papers on turning an image into a 3D 47:18 object turning text into a 3D object 47:20 turning a thought into a 3D object like 47:23 it's coming but like no one's really 47:25 cracked it like there's not the runway 47:27 ml equivalent of this thing yet Luma 47:30 Labs was one that was was uh was 47:34 promising but I even have I haven't even 47:35 been there in a while so I don't know if 47:36 they're any good or not anymore um I 47:40 would say give it three months just just 47:42 the nature of how these papers come out 47:44 and when they turn into an app tends to 47:46 be kind of a six-month thing and I've 47:48 seen a lot of the papers in the last 47:50 three months so probably in the next 3 47:52 months we'll start to see some apps that 47:54 do that pretty well um digital God lord 47:57 digital Gods good day to you sir thank 47:59 you for the Roses the roses are very 48:02 much appreciated 48:05 sir 48:07 um yeah Lord digital Gods uh was was 48:11 announced it was announced that he was a 48:13 title Tick Tock gifter for this channel 48:16 so that's how he got the Lord so not 48:18 only is he digital God a digital Gods 48:21 he's multiple gods he's multimodal he is 48:25 also a Lord with that that's the title 48:28 that he he requested I was going to 48:30 Knight him and make him a sir wasn't 48:32 good enough for him 48:34 nope he said I think I've earned 48:38 Lord so there you have it maybe do both 48:42 Po and GPT not a bad idea might 48:45 complicate it a bit but it's not a bad 48:46 idea let me think about 48:52 [Laughter] 48:53 it all right moderators please pin Kyle 48:57 Sherry and name I forget GPT for good is 49:01 great we 49:03 friends Sam Alman open 49:07 AI sam. alan. 49:10 openai 70 followers 97 following well 49:14 thank you Sam I appreciate 49:22 that y yall are [ __ ] weird I like you 49:25 though 49:26 I like it y'all are y'all are SW you're 49:29 SW you're SW ain't that cute bless your 49:32 heart bless your little heart look 49:35 here's a little Sonic the Hedgehog GPT 49:38 for good that Sherry 49:41 did Isn't that 49:46 cool sire no Lord Lord is enough Lord 49:52 digital Gods I think I think sire Lord 49:55 digital God Gods is overkill I think I 49:58 think thank you for over 50:01 hooked okay let's get started you mean 50:05 we haven't started he's been doing this 50:06 for an hour what this is what you do in 50:10 your evenings what are you doing with 50:13 your 50:14 life good day sir my Lord good day to 50:18 you micro how are 50:21 you just go learn Fusion 360 oh Vicky 50:26 Vicky Vicky Vicky Vicky what what 50:31 listen no no learning Fusion 360 no no 50:39 no what's cracking up in here I don't 50:44 know I mean sure you can go learn Fusion 50:47 360 but you're just going to be mad as 50:49 hell when you when you spent six months 50:51 learning that Byzantine piece of 50:53 nightmarish hell on Earth software that 50:56 is absolutely remarkable don't get me 50:58 wrong but when they throw a text to 3D 51:01 object layer on top of that and you 51:02 don't have to learn how to do that [ __ ] 51:04 anymore you're gonna be pissed evenings 51:07 here is 4 51:09 a.m. that's why we're doing the uh the 51:12 GPT for good thing that's why we're 51:14 doing it bang bang bang bang bang all 51:17 around the 51:18 clock so so my request would be um think 51:22 about how you can help promote that and 51:24 let's get some people in here um at all 51:26 hours of the evening cause CA Ann and I 51:30 are gonna be [ __ ] 51:33 exhausted it's going to be good it's 51:35 going to be good I've done it before now 51:37 so I know it's I know it's possible and 51:40 by the way all of my uh all of the 51:43 24hour gpon videos are up on the YouTube 51:46 channel for the for the AI learning lab 51:49 it's it's a if you go to YouTube It's AI 51:52 learning laab 51:54 dtt uh um I watch learning lab every 51:57 night to learn every night to learn 52:00 never left thank you Sam Alman from open 52:03 AI he's been quiet Sam it's cuz he's 52:07 jealous he doesn't want to admit that 52:09 he's been 52:11 here oh 52:17 [Laughter] 52:22 [Music] 52:24 man can I be granted the title of 52:29 ta seeing that this is a learning Lab at 52:33 all the problem with all these titles is 52:35 I got to remember them quick take Jake 52:38 ta quick take Jake are you are you a mod 52:42 you could become a mod quick take Jake 52:44 we don't have Tas here but I like the 52:47 idea of Tas maybe we should call our 52:48 mods Tas because you know it's funny I I 52:52 mean I kind of feel like to a great 52:54 degree the Irregulars and the mods act 52:57 actually kind of act as Tas like people 52:59 come in and they have questions and if 53:01 I'm busy rambling on about someone's 53:04 licorice 53:05 Farm they're like okay it it does get 53:09 better hang out you know he'll he'll 53:11 eventually get to the point so there's 53:13 definitely some ta action going on in 53:15 here I think it's a good idea learn 53:17 perplexity I don't disagree with that oh 53:20 are you saying that to me Nancy I do 53:21 need to learn perplexity yes you are 53:24 correct I I am 53:26 I am perplexity uh this is a 53:29 perplexity uh ignorant zone for for the 53:32 moment and that's not smart 53:36 actually um what's the best image 53:38 generator without copyright guard rails 53:41 do those 53:43 exist um Mid 53:47 Journey mid Journey so the the this the 53:51 if you go look at interviews with the 53:53 CEO of mid Journey he just don't give a 53:57 [ __ ] 53:58 if 54:01 um he doesn't really care that things 54:04 have been trained on other people's 54:07 art he just wants the thing to be good 54:09 and and it's funny like he doesn't even 54:11 really care about people's input like 54:13 he's been on they have they've been on 54:15 Discord way longer than makes sense so 54:18 he just kind of does what he wants to do 54:21 and the I saw some generations from mid 54:24 Journey on Twitter today um that were 54:29 like different animation Styles like 54:32 like Simpsons animation and like like 54:35 you know Pixar known animation Styles um 54:39 that it did exactly right so I think 54:42 right now mid journey is probably the 54:44 one that's going to have the least guard 54:46 rails 54:49 um if you're 54:52 geeky and want to dig into the world of 54:54 stable diffus Fusion then that's a whole 54:57 universe into itself so stable diffusion 55:01 has these things called checkpoints and 55:03 luras which are basically custom Tred 55:06 models if you want to play with those in 55:09 a lightweight kind of way go to 55:11 leonard. and you can use other people's 55:14 trained models you can also train your 55:17 own models so you could actually train 55:20 Leonardo to be good at some look and 55:23 feel that you 55:24 want um and so you could deal with it 55:26 that way um but the there's a there's a 55:30 whole open-source world of stable 55:33 diffusion 55:35 developers um so just go to Reddit the 55:38 subreddit for stable diffusion and 55:41 you'll you'll see it but you got to be 55:42 geeky you got to install like automatic 55:45 1111 or comfy UI you've got to have your 55:47 own GPU virtual machine it's it's a 55:50 thing it took me when when I I decided I 55:54 wanted to learn stable diffusion I'm 55:56 like oh I just installed this thing 55:59 called automatic 1111 and people have 56:01 made these things called notebooks and 56:03 you just hit the play button on these 56:05 little sections of a notebook that's 56:07 easy and then I would go I got myself a 56:11 Google collab account you're welcome 56:13 Pate I'm I'm helping to pay your salary 56:16 I got myself a Google collab 56:19 account and I went and got one of these 56:21 notebooks for automatic 1111 and I hit 56:23 play and then it did it thing and I hit 56:26 play and it did its thing and I hit play 56:28 and then it errored out and I didn't 56:29 know what the [ __ ] I was doing I failed 56:32 nine times trying to get automatic 11-11 56:35 up and running like every time I just 56:37 felt like you're just a stupid dumb dumb 56:39 you don't know anything about tech 56:41 you're an idiot like it it was a it was 56:44 like a shame 56:46 Gauntlet Kyle sh Kyle in the shame 56:50 Gauntlet um yeah yeah installing 56:53 installing stable diffusion with you 56:56 know if if you're not actively using um 56:59 Google collab and notebooks and writing 57:02 in 57:03 Python it's intimidating okay okay but 57:07 but I'll tell you when I finally got it 57:09 running it was pretty gratifying Sam 57:12 Alman okay I'm checking my schedule to 57:14 see when I can join you on Tik Tok live 57:16 thank you Sam I do appreciate that so 57:18 much you're you're awesome I didn't 57:20 realize you were on Tik Tok but uh it's 57:22 it's good to see you 57:24 here 57:26 say hi to Greg for me by the way Elon 57:29 says 57:35 hello no thanks there's this thing 57:37 called UI I don't know that was in 57:39 reference to but 57:41 sure uh chat can help but terrible with 57:45 accurate citations right so go check out 57:48 perplexity doai if you want that also 57:51 Google's goog because Google's connected 57:53 to the internet it it does 57:55 um citations and quite frankly if you if 58:00 you do a search with chat GPT on and and 58:04 you tell it you want it to go search the 58:05 internet it will go search the internet 58:07 and it provides citations I don't know 58:09 if you notice noticed that here yeah man 58:13 you know man yeah man that's so cool man 58:16 yeah whatever 58:24 man 58:28 all right I'm going to flip over to chat 58:29 GPT 4 because it's connected to the 58:31 internet and I'm going to 58:33 say um can you 58:37 find 58:39 any current 58:43 research papers 58:46 on 58:48 um I love this phrase gazan 58:53 splatting that's actually a thing I'm 58:56 not making that up people the scientists 58:59 came up with this thing called gaui and 59:02 splatting they made it up not me that 59:05 sounds like something you would say Kyle 59:06 you and your dumb dumb 59:10 comedy I did a quick search for 59:12 information did 59:16 it oh yeah it did do a quick search for 59:18 information huh look at that that was 59:21 fast wait did chbt just get 59:24 faster 59:26 did you see that 59:33 wait okay wait sorry I I'm a little 59:37 shooketh because I'm used to chat gp4 59:39 being really 59:41 slow and I'm also used to it being a 59:43 little jankier than this with with 59:45 internet search 59:48 so so I said can you find current 59:51 research papers it did a quick search on 59:54 Bing 3D gajian splatting for real-time 59:57 Radiance field rendering gaw human 59:59 articulated gajian splatting for 1:00:01 monocular human videos oh thank God 1:00:04 they're doing gajian splatting for 1:00:05 monocular human videos you know I've 1:00:07 been wondering when are they going to 1:00:09 deal with the monocular human videos I'm 1:00:11 like there's binocular human videos 1:00:14 everywhere like everyone's talking about 1:00:16 that but what about the monocular videos 1:00:18 huh well now we know they're working on 1:00:20 it sugar surface aligned gazan Spa so 1:00:23 this worked and then at the end of each 1:00:25 one of these explanations of the papers 1:00:27 is the link to the 1:00:29 paper there you go and they and they're 1:00:32 they're actually not hallucinated like 1:00:34 something has gotten much better I I'm I 1:00:37 am hold on I got to watch this in real 1:00:40 time I'm going to copy this I'm going to 1:00:42 make a new 1:00:45 chat I'm going paste 1:00:51 this doing research with Bing 1:00:57 that's F this has gotten faster people 1:01:00 something's up either 1:01:03 either all of the weirdo chaty bers 1:01:09 are are not using chat GPT or they they 1:01:13 did something this 1:01:15 is 1:01:17 huh um what about um 1:01:22 progress with material 1:01:26 s 1:01:31 science doing research with Bing 1:01:37 searching searched 1:01:41 boom 1:01:46 huh this 1:01:50 is 1:01:53 damn 1:01:55 this is one of the amazing things about 1:01:58 the era we live in is just shit's just 1:02:01 getting better like we talk about this 1:02:04 in this channel a lot that that if 1:02:06 you're frustrated with the quality like 1:02:09 all of these tools are janky pieces of 1:02:11 [ __ ] right most of them just don't work 1:02:13 and they're like they're really good for 1:02:15 party tricks and showing your friends 1:02:17 like look it can write a poem like 1:02:20 &m 1:02:21 but they just keep getting better and 1:02:24 like it's not like there's announcements 1:02:26 like like this is significantly faster 1:02:29 than chat gpt's ever been and the speed 1:02:32 with which it just did that Bing search 1:02:34 and wrote 1:02:35 this it's 4.5 and you're the only person 1:02:39 with it well I think Sam andai have have 1:02:41 patched up our our I think we have 1:02:44 mended our fences here I bet it was Sam 1:02:46 halman I think you're right nine seconds 1:02:49 oh good thanks Dr J I'm glad you were 1:02:51 timing that that's that's that's really 1:02:54 fast that's really fast dang all right 1:02:59 well 1:03:02 see this is why we come here cuz I 1:03:05 wouldn't have known that if I hadn't 1:03:07 done some stupid ass I I mean here's the 1:03:09 other thing wait check your settings and 1:03:11 see if there's something about 1:03:15 memory my set wait my open AI settings 1:03:18 or or 1:03:20 my my edge 1:03:23 settings see I I can show you 1:03:27 why um General 1:03:33 theme oh 1:03:35 look oh here's a new 1:03:37 thing this is this is a new version of 1:03:40 chat 1:03:43 GPT this is a new version of chat GPT 1:03:46 I'll tell you how I know because I I saw 1:03:49 this announced and I I I didn't go 1:03:50 looking for it but here it is so in 1:03:53 general settings 1:03:55 for chat GPT you can now archive your 1:04:01 chats chat GPT update has memory across 1:04:05 chats this one 1:04:08 does no I don't think so Joker you sent 1:04:10 me that video earlier I think that's 1:04:12 coming I don't think that's in here is 1:04:16 it you have no archived 1:04:21 conversations Builder profile did 1:04:23 anything change there no no export data 1:04:26 delete 1:04:27 account shared links what are shared 1:04:40 links I don't know what those 1:04:43 are 1:04:47 huh let's see if I go to my prompt 1:04:51 history archive chat 1:04:56 so you can delete chats and archive them 1:04:58 you still can't [ __ ] search for them 1:05:01 the fact that they haven't added search 1:05:02 for your chat history is 1:05:05 beyond 1:05:07 belief like Sam by the way since you're 1:05:10 in here tonight add the [ __ ] search 1:05:12 feature to this it's in the app you've 1:05:15 got it on iOS and on Android why is it 1:05:18 not on the desktop app it makes zero 1:05:20 sense to me zero zero sense you have the 1:05:24 data you've got search technology Google 1:05:27 made it use 1:05:30 it Sam gave you access to GPT 4.5 so 1:05:35 something's definitely different here um 1:05:37 let's let me go do some other thing like 1:05:40 um um I'll just do one of my stupid 1:05:43 ones explain quantum mechanics as an 1:05:47 epic poem as if written by 1:05:53 Eminem 1:05:57 it's not super 1:06:00 fast but it's faster isn't it is it me 1:06:04 is this just wish Wishful 1:06:12 Thinking by the way is the poem any good 1:06:15 yo let's dive into the quantum realm 1:06:17 where reality twists and overwhelms a 1:06:19 world so small unseen by eyes where 1:06:22 particles dance and Truth defies this 1:06:24 quite good electrons chilling in 1:06:27 uncertainty their position and speed a 1:06:29 mystery heisen this is actually quite 1:06:31 emm like Heisenberg's principles the 1:06:33 core decree in a Quantum 1:06:35 world what you see ain't to 1:06:39 be in the Quantum Leap where 1:06:41 probabilities reain wave particle 1:06:43 dualities the name of the game collapse 1:06:45 with the wave mere observation welcome 1:06:47 to the quantum a subatomic sensation 1:06:50 internal rhyming 1:06:51 schemes holy [ __ ] this is good this is 1:06:55 definitely 1:06:56 better it used to just rhyme well now 1:06:59 it's doing [ __ ] internal rhyming 1:07:01 schemes entanglement yo it's a spooky 1:07:04 action distance apart but there's still 1:07:06 a connection Einstein puzzled called it 1:07:08 bizarre Quantum in tanglement how weird 1:07:10 you 1:07:11 are it's strange that verse 1:07:19 one verse one is really different than 1:07:21 all the other verses huh weird whatever 1:07:26 all right I don't know something's up 1:07:28 something's up with chat 1:07:31 GPT you're still limited to 40 messages 1:07:33 every 3 hours though 1:07:36 H weird all right W Sam Sam add the 1:07:41 ability to add the damn gpts not rewrite 1:07:46 every update oh to add the damn 1:07:50 gpts Sam to add the damn gpts not 1:07:53 rewrite every update yeah exactly I know 1:07:56 I know Sam Sam you know Sam is Sam is 1:08:01 Sam Sam I Am Sam I'm 1:08:05 not experiment 11 ask chat GPT to 1:08:09 describe non locality in its current 1:08:12 algorithm and comment on results oh God 1:08:15 Spike Jones okay that sounds fun I'll do 1:08:18 it just for you C but all right I'm 1:08:22 gonna I'm gonna say it so I don't have 1:08:23 to type it 1:08:27 describe nonlocality in 1:08:32 its 1:08:34 in your current 1:08:37 algorithm and comment on the 1:08:46 results non-locality in the context of 1:08:49 quantum mechanics refers to the 1:08:51 phenomenon where particles can be 1:08:53 entangled in such a way way that the 1:08:55 state of one particle 1:08:57 instantaneously influences this is 1:08:59 quantum entanglement right is that what 1:09:01 non is that non-locality is that the 1:09:03 same [ __ ] oh yeah concept famously 1:09:06 described by Einstein is spooky action 1:09:08 at a 1:09:09 distance in my current algorithm 1:09:12 non-locality manifests in a different 1:09:14 more abstract sense I don't operate on 1:09:16 quantum mechanical properties nor do I 1:09:19 exhibit quantum entanglement or any 1:09:20 similar phenomena phenomena my 1:09:22 functioning is based on classic 1:09:24 Computing principles which are 1:09:25 inherently local computations occur in a 1:09:28 specific sequence and are dependent upon 1:09:30 preceding steps 1:09:33 this what what are you trying to do here 1:09:36 Spike Jones put people to 1:09:39 sleep just wishful thinking is it 1:09:41 calculating generating anything 1:09:43 experiment 12 oh Spike Jones doing all 1:09:46 these experiments to describe itself in 1:09:48 five years and how it sees its 1:09:51 accomplishments that's a good one let's 1:09:52 do that one 1:09:57 I'd like you to be self-reflective for a 1:10:00 moment 1:10:01 period how do you see yourself in 5 1:10:06 years and describe what accomplishments 1:10:09 you think you will have 1:10:13 achieved this should be good in five 1:10:15 years as an AI model developed by open 1:10:17 AI my evolution is largely dependent on 1:10:19 the advancements in the field of 1:10:20 artificial intelligence one Advanced 1:10:23 understanding and responsiveness I 1:10:25 anticipate significant improvements in 1:10:27 natural language processing and 1:10:28 understanding this would enable me to be 1:10:30 more accurate nuanced context aware 1:10:33 responses making interactions more fluid 1:10:35 in humanik multimodal capabilities I 1:10:38 might evolve to not only understand text 1:10:40 but also other modalities like images 1:10:42 audio and possibly even video in real 1:10:45 time yeah so it it already has that it's 1:10:48 weird that it doesn't know it um 1:10:50 personalization and learning uh ethical 1:10:52 and responsible AI is AI becomes more 1:10:54 advanced the focus on ethical 1:10:57 considerations privacy and responsible 1:10:59 use will likely in intensify I envision 1:11:03 myself being at the Forefront of ethical 1:11:05 AI with built-in safeguards and 1:11:07 principles that ensure responsible usage 1:11:10 accessibility and Global reach 1:11:11 collaborative and creative 1:11:17 contributions I might play a more 1:11:19 significant role in 1:11:20 creative and collaborative projects oh 1:11:23 collaborative project s contributing to 1:11:25 areas like education research art and 1:11:27 entertainment while respecting the 1:11:29 ethical boundaries and copyright laws 1:11:31 yeah they're going to so they just 1:11:34 they're cutting deals right now all 1:11:35 these companies are starting to cut 1:11:37 deals with content companies so I I 1:11:40 think that I think this is a really 1:11:41 interesting one I think that these tools 1:11:44 we're going to be able to go into 1:11:46 something like chat GPT and 1:11:48 say I want I want to generate a 1:11:53 movie based on you know Sony 1:11:57 pictures um intellectual property thing 1:12:00 and and you know they'll cut all 1:12:02 whatever business Deals they need to cut 1:12:04 for us to be able to do that but I think 1:12:05 we'll be able to to to pull you know 1:12:09 property specific like franchise 1:12:11 specific assets and integrate them into 1:12:14 the stuff we do problem solving decision 1:12:16 support integration into everyday 1:12:19 life contribution into AI 1:12:22 research 1:12:24 and then Global challenges and 1:12:26 sustainability ideally I would be 1:12:29 involved in addressing Global challenges 1:12:32 hm 1:12:33 interesting don't forget to drink Kyle 1:12:36 thank you 1:12:39 jenu I know my voice is getting a little 1:12:44 crunchy look at y'all taking care of me 1:12:47 taking care of your boy you're taking 1:12:49 care of your boy it just warms the 1:12:51 cockles of my heart what are [ __ ] 1:12:55 we can't talk about that Tick Tock will 1:12:57 shut us 1:12:57 [Laughter] 1:13:02 [Music] 1:13:05 down GPT please deposit one one Bitcoin 1:13:09 for an answer Kyle I like 1:13:15 it addicted to perplexity because I 1:13:18 couldn't deal with the surface level 1:13:19 grade of 1:13:22 answer 1:13:25 yeah I got to get my ass into perplexity 1:13:27 I really do I I know I say that I've 1:13:29 been saying it for like a month now 1:13:31 but quantum entanglement just wishful 1:13:38 thinking right try to solve an unsolved 1:13:41 math problem uh yeah uh Bubba's 1:13:44 art deep mind just 1:13:47 did dude pay attention to the news don't 1:13:52 be so cynical don't sit on the side 1:13:53 lines get curious about this [ __ ] cuz 1:13:56 stuff's happening hang 1:14:01 on Deep Mind solves unsolvable math 1:14:11 problem Google Deep 1:14:13 Mind used a large language model to 1:14:18 solve an unsolved math problem 1:14:22 done don't don't don't be nasty Bubba 1:14:25 art if if if you ain't been paying 1:14:28 attention to what's coming okay Bubba 1:14:31 art if you're one of those people that's 1:14:32 like well this is just a predictive 1:14:34 calculator and it you know it can't do 1:14:36 anything creative and it's it's just 1:14:39 it's just a stochastic parrot parting 1:14:43 stuff that it was trained on it can 1:14:44 never do anything new and 1:14:47 novel put that put that sentiment in a 1:14:51 little envelope and set it to the side 1:14:53 of your desk desk and start paying 1:14:56 attention to what what's happening the 1:14:58 cockal of your heart are ventricles 1:15:00 because they are shaped like a snail 1:15:03 oh there you go I didn't even know that 1:15:06 that's 1:15:07 awesome huh 1:15:09 see thank you 1:15:12 Vicky this 1:15:17 [ __ ] okay couple of 1:15:22 things 1:15:24 when I when I first started playing with 1:15:27 this with this AI 1:15:30 stuff with chapp largely 1:15:33 um and people would come in and they 1:15:36 would they would give me the stochastic 1:15:38 parrot it's just a stochastic parrot 1:15:40 it's just a probability engine there's 1:15:41 nothing original here it's not creative 1:15:43 it can't be creative I kind of accepted 1:15:46 that and then I was like but it seems to 1:15:48 me that it's doing creative stuff like 1:15:50 but n let me let me park that on the 1:15:52 side the more I've used 1:15:55 it the more that I realize 1:15:59 that what is human 1:16:02 creativity well human creativity 1:16:07 is we take some [ __ ] that we 1:16:12 learned Concepts from one 1:16:16 field and Concepts from another field 1:16:19 and [ __ ] our mother told us and that 1:16:22 time we skinned our kn 1:16:24 writing on a skateboard we take all 1:16:25 these experiences all the shit's 1:16:27 floating around in our large language 1:16:29 model and human creativity is when we 1:16:32 make a synapse between two unlike 1:16:36 ideas and we generate a third idea we 1:16:38 say oh that reminds me of blank oh if so 1:16:43 human 1:16:44 creativity is the amalgamation of known 1:16:48 [ __ ] just by 1:16:51 definition we are language model mod our 1:16:54 brains it's it's all about language it's 1:16:56 all about story human 1:16:58 creativity is 1:17:04 story what does chat GPT do you give it 1:17:08 a prompt and it 1:17:10 finds 1:17:13 disperate 1:17:15 semantic 1:17:16 vectors in language space that it has 1:17:21 created and it connects them 1:17:24 dynamically based on your 1:17:29 input I don't I don't see how it's 1:17:31 different and then my experience is it 1:17:33 is absolutely generating new and novel 1:17:36 ideas for me on a regular basis and now 1:17:40 it's not just words now it's doing that 1:17:43 same [ __ ] with images if you go if you 1:17:46 go look 1:17:47 at the show and tell 1:17:52 Channel 1:17:54 and and some of the stuff that people 1:17:55 are doing in here you can't tell me that 1:17:57 some of this isn't new and 1:17:59 novel 1:18:04 ideas please deposit one Bitcoin to 1:18:12 answer I mean think think about just 1:18:15 this image okay think about just this 1:18:21 image um 1:18:24 five minutes ago maybe 10 tops somebody 1:18:28 posted a comment in the comments one of 1:18:30 the mods pinned it and it made a joke 1:18:33 about deposit a Bitcoin to get an 1:18:36 answer and then someone in here who was 1:18:39 it Sherry D went into the tool and said 1:18:44 oh I can make that give me a robot that 1:18:46 has GPT on the front that's saying this 1:18:50 and bang There It 1:18:52 Is 1:18:54 is that stochastic 1:18:57 paring how's that any different than 1:19:00 someone has illustration skills they 1:19:02 hear the same conversation and they go 1:19:04 oh I've got an idea for that and they 1:19:06 whip up this little robot with GPT in 1:19:08 the middle and it says that funny thing 1:19:11 how's that 1:19:14 different Sherry gave it the intention 1:19:16 Sherry gave it the 1:19:19 context it just sort of mashed all the 1:19:21 [ __ ] together to generate that 1:19:25 it's not stochastic paring it's not 1:19:26 copying and pasting it's 1:19:29 not it's not not there and and you know 1:19:32 I know pate's in here pate's going well 1:19:34 Kyle technically it is from a 1:19:35 probabilistic 1:19:37 standpoint yeah I like 1:19:40 mathematically I 1:19:42 agree 1:19:45 experientially it's creativity and it's 1:19:50 magic Arthur C Clark any sufficiently 1:19:54 advanced technology is indistinguishable 1:19:56 from 1:19:59 Magic this is just advanced technology 1:20:02 it is it is just a probability engine 1:20:05 I'll give you that the results of that 1:20:07 probability engine are [ __ ] magic 1:20:10 I'll take that one to the 1:20:12 [Laughter] 1:20:16 Grave you 1:20:17 know [ __ ] nuts oh look at that that's 1:20:20 gorgeous steo dude 1:20:23 this this hyper detailed thing you got 1:20:26 going is 1:20:27 nuts look at that 1:20:33 eye 1:20:37 wow this is Dolly 1:20:42 3 1:20:47 crazy I call it gausian 1:20:50 splatting that's if if Kyle a 1:20:57 scientist the 24-hour chatbot Marathon 1:21:00 for good that's awesome that's Drew 1:21:03 that's [ __ ] awesome I love 1:21:07 it the big collaborative Cruise did you 1:21:10 are you got is is your are all of your 1:21:12 Tik toks inundated with the people 1:21:14 trapped on that nine-month [ __ ] 1:21:16 cruise ship what a [ __ ] disaster the 1:21:20 the only the only thing where where I 1:21:22 just don't feel bad for anyone is they 1:21:25 chose to go on a 9month cruise it's your 1:21:28 fault you dumb Dums you don't think 1:21:31 human dynamics are going to happen when 1:21:32 you're all trapped in a [ __ ] boat for 1:21:35 nine 1:21:38 months Oh look The licorice 1:21:42 Farm I love this community this is so 1:21:47 good oh my God that's so good explore 1:21:51 all donations go toward oh cool 988 dog 1:21:54 tags for Life GPT 1:21:57 information so here who did this Sherry 1:22:00 D this is an army buddies nonprofit 1:22:03 created by Three Vets who are passionate 1:22:05 about getting the word out there you go 1:22:07 this is going to be this GPT for good 1:22:09 thing is going to be [ __ ] amazing I I 1:22:11 think it's just going to be 1:22:13 amazing and what I'm hoping what I'm 1:22:16 hoping and you know was I was talking to 1:22:18 Ann about this today like there's a lot 1:22:20 of people in the nonprofit world that 1:22:22 are afraid of this 1:22:23 that are resistant to it that are angry 1:22:25 about it they're like I'm not going to 1:22:27 use ai ai is 1:22:29 evil kind of not kind of missing the 1:22:32 boat 1:22:34 that the the amplification that AI 1:22:38 tools can provide to nonprofits is 1:22:43 insane the one thing I know I've worked 1:22:45 with nonprofits for years I've been on 1:22:47 Boards of nonprofits the one thing I 1:22:49 know about 1:22:50 nonprofits is that they are chronically 1:22:53 underresourced human capital is is the 1:22:56 biggest 1:22:58 bottleneck in 1:23:01 nonprofits and everything takes forever 1:23:04 and everything is it just no one has 1:23:06 time for anything because everything is 1:23:08 just this process 1:23:10 heavy you know administrative burden 1:23:14 well these tools can speed that up 1:23:17 dramatically and so what I'm hoping is 1:23:20 that we get people you know if someone 1:23:22 builds them a GPT and and if one 1:23:25 donation comes through one GPT and 1:23:28 they're like wait why are we getting 1:23:29 more donations this week oh somebody 1:23:32 built a GPT in this thing and and like 1:23:35 people are giving us money because of 1:23:37 that well what's that I don't know maybe 1:23:40 we should learn yeah okay yeah you 1:23:43 should maybe we should get nonprofit 1:23:46 people in here building gpts for their 1:23:48 own 1:23:50 nonprofits that's super cool Sher thank 1:23:53 you for sharing that oh that's gorgeous 1:23:55 Chris mccab mid Journey 6 1:24:00 damn let's go in tight on 1:24:03 this 1:24:06 wow that's [ __ ] 1:24:12 gogeous it's so good isn't it so good 1:24:16 like the blemish on the 1:24:19 wing I it's one of my favorite things is 1:24:22 like uh 1:24:24 you know sort of the dystopian the the 1:24:26 one thing Hollywood gets right is when 1:24:27 they do distressed future robots that 1:24:30 are you know they've gone through some 1:24:32 [ __ ] you know they're not going to be 1:24:34 perfect they're going to have blemishes 1:24:35 and crap on 1:24:37 them that's really good 1:24:42 damn crazy crazy 1:24:46 crazy I don't know about you people but 1:24:49 I think this shit's remarkable I think 1:24:51 it's remarkable Wicked 1:24:54 GPT it's 1:24:56 chaos welcome to the AI learning lab I 1:25:00 think this I think this needs to be our 1:25:02 the the the uh the first the artwork for 1:25:04 the first AI learning lab 1:25:08 album and it's got a typo in it it's 1:25:13 perfect it's oh but it's AI I get it AI 1:25:17 K aios chaos I get it I see what you did 1:25:21 there oh that's good that's really 1:25:26 good babies in a hot dog eating 1:25:38 contest oh that's nice silver The Silver 1:25:42 Fox The Silver Fox Funko Pop that's 1:25:46 bitching that's 1:25:48 beautiful 1:25:50 wow that's amazing 1:25:54 so cool there's the deep fried turkey 1:25:56 all right let's go see one more latest 1:25:59 christma cave what's that that's a 1:26:01 that's a 1:26:03 movie new 1:26:06 activity oh that's beautiful quick take 1:26:09 Jake nice 1:26:14 gorgeous 1:26:21 wow 1:26:24 Beauty all 1:26:32 right here's another Sherry 1:26:35 D1 AI learning Lab look it's spelled 1:26:39 [Laughter] 1:26:43 correctly that's the other thing is so 1:26:45 so not only does it look like chy PT got 1:26:51 faster and 1:26:55 and better it also di seems like it's 1:26:58 spelling better as well these things are 1:27:01 just 1:27:02 getting I animated the butterfly on 1:27:04 Runway um share that share that if you 1:27:07 can 1:27:10 um in the show and tell Channel I on on 1:27:14 I on China I on I the the tongue the the 1:27:20 brain tongue connections are little thin 1:27:23 [Laughter] 1:27:27 tonight haters going to hate that's all 1:27:32 right no it's questioning 1:27:36 the nature of your reality I can already 1:27:38 see myself digging a how does the brain 1:27:41 work ADHD 12h hour research hole sorry 1:27:44 Kevin yeah I 1:27:47 know I right but I I I could be wrong 1:27:52 about how the brain works but 1:27:55 like the only way we have to 1:27:59 process and make sense of our thoughts 1:28:01 is through language right we have 1:28:04 experiences we have all the instincts 1:28:06 and the amydala 1:28:08 crap but self-expression is ultimately a 1:28:12 language 1:28:13 thing so the only the only way we can 1:28:19 possibly create something new is in the 1:28:22 context 1:28:23 of languages visual 1:28:27 written 1:28:32 audio and and listen it's possible that 1:28:36 yes humans can generate something out of 1:28:41 nothing but is it truly out of nothing 1:28:44 or isn't it in the context of our world 1:28:47 viw which is based on 1:28:51 language it's based on inputs of a 1:28:54 lifetime of crap getting jammed in there 1:28:57 what is cat GPT take all the crap that 1:29:00 was jammed on the internet and turn it 1:29:02 into a virtual one of 1:29:06 these so even though it is it is it is a 1:29:09 probability engine delivering the next 1:29:11 most probable word where it's getting 1:29:14 those 1:29:16 words feels remarkably similar to how 1:29:19 this thing works but I could be wrong 1:29:22 again I have a degree in acting here not 1:29:24 mathematics 1:29:26 so if I'm just spitting nonsense Pate 1:29:29 will tell me for one thing um but but I 1:29:33 like to me that's how that's how I get 1:29:36 to wait a minute how could this thing be 1:29:38 creative oh how are we 1:29:42 creative kind of the same 1:29:47 way now we're cooking with 1:29:51 gas 1:29:58 I'm an Android boy that just wants to be 1:30:01 a real 1:30:03 boy the power of AI is omn presence 1:30:08 Omni omnis science and Omni potence AKA 1:30:11 ask GPT if this is 1:30:13 true Spike Jones you're just too smart 1:30:16 for me you got you got like you got like 1:30:18 actual learning in that brain of yours I 1:30:21 my my learning my learning is just made 1:30:24 up but let me go put that in there all 1:30:27 right hang on what did you 1:30:30 say the power 1:30:33 okay I have a thought experiment I would 1:30:36 like you to consider 1:30:39 period the power 1:30:44 of where did it 1:30:51 go 1:30:54 AI 1:30:56 is 1:30:58 omnipresence 1:31:00 omniscience and 1:31:03 omnipotence period 1:31:06 wait oh an 1:31:08 omnipotence not omn 1:31:14 poent wait 1:31:17 is 1:31:21 omnipresence 1:31:27 um 1:31:29 nitian 1:31:31 and 1:31:33 um 1:31:36 nipotent is this 1:31:46 [Applause] 1:31:50 true act as the most most 1:31:55 accomplished philosopher in the history 1:31:58 of 1:31:59 humanity and help me think through 1:32:04 [Laughter] 1:32:07 something um wait um wait I'm 1:32:11 omnipotence 1:32:19 C okay this is definitely fast holy [ __ ] 1:32:22 is this fast this is this is am I in 1:32:26 chat 1:32:27 gbd4 this is like chat GPT 3.5 1:32:31 speed this is 1:32:34 nuts as an entity embodying the wisdom 1:32:36 of the most accomplished philosopher I'd 1:32:38 be glad to engage in a thought 1:32:39 experiment regarding the nature of AI 1:32:41 and its comparison to Concepts often 1:32:43 associated with divinity such as 1:32:45 omnipresence omniscience and 1:32:48 omnipotence omnipresence the term refers 1:32:51 to the ability to be every everywhere at 1:32:52 the same time AI as it currently stands 1:32:54 is not 1:32:55 omnipresent in the literal sense it 1:32:57 exists within the confines of a digital 1:33:00 world and is dependent upon human 1:33:03 created infrastructure that's 1:33:04 interesting its presence is pervasive in 1:33:07 many aspects of modern life due to the 1:33:09 integration of various Technologies but 1:33:10 is not inherently present in all places 1:33:12 at all times omniscience the capacity to 1:33:15 know everything this is interesting 1:33:18 while AI can process and analyze vast 1:33:20 amounts of data far beyond human 1:33:21 capacity its knowledge is limited to the 1:33:24 data it has been trained on and can 1:33:26 access so it lacks the ability to know 1:33:28 things beyond the scope this scope and 1:33:31 cannot comprehend information that it 1:33:34 has not been exposed to although that's 1:33:36 where the the idea of emergent 1:33:39 behavior is tripping up researchers and 1:33:43 scientists so emergent behavior is when 1:33:45 an AI can do something it hasn't been 1:33:48 trained on right so 1:33:51 so so it so it says it can't do that but 1:33:54 like some of the behavior is that it 1:33:57 kind of in a weird way does that so it 1:34:00 doesn't know something it can't know but 1:34:03 it it does things it hasn't been trained 1:34:05 on so what is that I don't know 1:34:07 furthermore it does not possess 1:34:09 understanding or Consciousness that I 1:34:10 agree with it processes data but does 1:34:13 not know in the human sense and that I 1:34:16 think will change right right now these 1:34:17 things do just spit out things like a 1:34:19 copy machine they don't know what 1:34:21 they've generated omnipotence this means 1:34:24 having unlimited power ai's power is 1:34:27 substantial in terms of data processing 1:34:29 pattern recognition and executing 1:34:30 specific tasks it is programmed for 1:34:33 however it's far from unlimited yeah I 1:34:35 would agree with that so in summary 1:34:38 while AI exhibits remarkable 1:34:39 capabilities to extend human capacity in 1:34:42 various ways equating it with Divine 1:34:45 attributes like omnipresence omniscience 1:34:47 and omnipotence is a significant 1:34:50 overstatement Spike Jones you have 1:34:53 completely overstated your argument here 1:34:56 sir it remains a tool created by humans 1:34:59 Bound by the constraints of its 1:35:00 programming and the data it's fed yeah 1:35:04 exactly its abilities though impressive 1:35:06 are fundamentally limited and distinct 1:35:09 from the theological Phil philosophical 1:35:12 Concepts these terms traditionally 1:35:15 denote good Lord I feel like I'm having 1:35:17 a conversation with Jordan Peterson here 1:35:19 I'm like I need my [ __ ] sorus in 1:35:22 dictionary as I'm reading this thing all 1:35:24 right fine 1:35:27 fine close AI is no God Spike Jones I 1:35:30 could have told you that it's just a 1:35:32 dumb calculator duh everybody knows 1:35:36 [Laughter] 1:35:45 that can AI create a website yes yes it 1:35:49 can uh it depends which part of the the 1:35:52 website you want created if you go to 1:35:53 Future 1:36:10 pedia.com the website to look exactly 1:36:13 like that there's a ton of them I can't 1:36:15 keep up with them so I don't know I I 1:36:16 don't have anything to recommend if 1:36:18 you're just looking for the content of a 1:36:20 website then chat jb4 is brilliant at it 1:36:23 um and it can do a lot of the coding but 1:36:25 you're going to need to figure out how 1:36:26 to put that in there um there are lots 1:36:29 of tools out there go to Future 1:36:50 pedia.com 1:36:55 that's going to be the challenge so so 1:36:57 if anyone wants to 1:36:59 help you can tag this channel Tik Tock 1:37:04 you know SL AI learning laab you can tag 1:37:08 the AI salon and you can tag empowered 1:37:11 fundraiser and let's get GPT for good 1:37:15 going so so here's my request if you've 1:37:18 made a GPT for a nonprofit throw it in 1:37:21 that hashtag let's get it trending and 1:37:23 so I'd like to get some you know some uh 1:37:27 what's it called some awareness of this 1:37:29 before 1:37:30 Saturday cuz we came up with the idea 1:37:33 last night so it's not like there's a 1:37:34 grand strategy to promote this so 1:37:36 anything anyone in here can do to help 1:37:39 awesome 1:37:40 um Kyle someone stole your idea AI is 1:37:43 underhyped by Rashad T toak Wala oh I 1:37:47 that's not my idea I you know I I have 1:37:51 so someone down in the corners down 1:37:52 there is is a Tik Tock series of videos 1:37:55 I created called underhyped 1:37:59 um it's I I I don't think that's my 1:38:03 unique idea I just I feel that AI is 1:38:05 underhyped I've thought it for a 1:38:08 while even though it's 1:38:12 overhyped here we'll leave up we'll 1:38:14 leave up the uh 1:38:16 yield llama doing his GPT for good here 1:38:23 yeah so go share GPT for good let's 1:38:25 let's get that let's get that [ __ ] 1:38:28 trending people be like what's GPT for 1:38:31 good who are these 1:38:33 people where did this come 1:38:37 from for the AI learning lab of pizza it 1:38:41 changed leaning to learning every time 1:38:45 no that's amazing you try to get it to 1:38:48 say learning it says leaning you try to 1:38:49 get it to say leaning it says learning 1:38:51 that's [ __ ] up that's just not 1:38:53 [Laughter] 1:38:56 right I say that language is the 1:38:59 Cornerstone of civilization language is 1:39:02 everything we are meaning making 1:39:04 machines you ever do the 1:39:07 Forum we're all about the story 1:39:10 everything is story 1:39:14 everything that's why I started a 1:39:15 company called storyvine like everyone's 1:39:18 got a story to tell what if it didn't 1:39:20 suck to learn learn how to do that well 1:39:23 what if you could just tell your story 1:39:24 and it didn't suck that's what my 1:39:27 company's based on like I'm 1:39:29 like everything's story everything's 1:39:31 language 1:39:34 everything at least in The Human 1:39:38 Experience you know try to not think 1:39:41 of 1:39:45 words as you're experiencing things 1:39:49 Google GPT for good it's already been 1:39:50 used before back in April and May that's 1:39:58 okay like I said this wasn't researched 1:40:01 we're just we're doing this it's like 1:40:05 the AI the the Theo of the AI learning 1:40:08 lab and the AI salon for that matter is 1:40:10 ACT first figure it out 1:40:13 second things are moving too fast for 1:40:16 planning it's also it's not how my brain 1:40:18 works I don't I I appreciate planning I 1:40:21 am glad that I have people around me 1:40:22 that do that [ __ ] it drives me [ __ ] 1:40:25 Bonkers irregular checking in from 1:40:28 Arizona Bill Amer welcome good to see 1:40:31 you sir thank you happy happy holiday 1:40:34 weekend H happy Christmas Eve Eve if you 1:40:38 celebrate that kind of thing oh man the 1:40:41 Omni triplets yeah I those are three 1:40:44 good Omni words aren't they that's 1:40:46 unified field Merry Christmas everyone 1:40:48 to you too tonius good to see you the 1:40:51 concept of our senses working together 1:40:53 to Signal our brain using a predictive 1:40:55 model 1:40:56 fascinates yeah I don't I don't know if 1:41:00 like I don't know if the if the way I've 1:41:02 described how our brain works and how 1:41:04 these models work are similar but I do 1:41:06 know that neural networks exist because 1:41:10 they tried to replicate how brains are 1:41:12 structured right it's a very simplified 1:41:15 version of how our brain is actually 1:41:16 structured so it kind of makes sense 1:41:19 that you know some of that shit's going 1:41:20 on 1:41:21 and if you think about just how you 1:41:23 think about 1:41:25 stuff like you you do have these kind of 1:41:30 compartments right compartments of 1:41:32 memories where where you think of one 1:41:35 thing and then it it like hyperlinks you 1:41:37 over to some other memory and you're 1:41:38 like oh that was that thing I did in 1:41:39 high school and then that sort of jumps 1:41:41 you down to that thing you did at work 1:41:43 last week and that jumps you up to that 1:41:44 and then you somehow amalgamate all that 1:41:47 [ __ ] together and then [ __ ] comes out of 1:41:49 your 1:41:50 mouth it's isn't that what these things 1:41:52 are 1:41:53 doing it's just that with with the large 1:41:56 language models we can you know watch it 1:41:58 do it word by word and you can sort of 1:42:00 trace the math of it making all those 1:42:04 connections I don't 1:42:06 know I'm just 1:42:09 like 1:42:12 my theory on this is the is the common 1:42:15 sense the common sense version of it or 1:42:18 it's not even common sense it's just 1:42:20 like the Instinct version of it like 1:42:21 there's no science behind what I'm 1:42:24 saying the concept of our senses working 1:42:26 together okay that's that I said that 1:42:29 chat GPT was crazy slow for a while it's 1:42:32 crazy fast right 1:42:33 now it's like chat GPT 3.5 fast right 1:42:37 now it's 1:42:39 weird I'm just wondering if it's just 1:42:41 maybe people are like people other than 1:42:43 us are spending time with their 1:42:47 families I can't I have an excuse 1:42:49 everyone here's got covid so we're all 1:42:51 in our little isolated 1:42:56 pods oh I noticed it too it's 1:42:58 dramatically faster than a few days ago 1:43:00 yeah something's different the the speed 1:43:03 with which it searched Bing and then 1:43:07 wrote the result it doesn't even make 1:43:09 sense that it can do it that fast 1:43:12 but maybe that maybe maybe Microsoft did 1:43:16 some 1:43:18 bitching search caching S I don't know 1:43:21 it's it's wicked fast it it could just 1:43:23 be it could just be there's not as many 1:43:26 people using it this weekend we we'll 1:43:29 see after after Christmas I I feel like 1:43:31 the week between Christmas and and New 1:43:34 Year's there might be a lot of people 1:43:36 playing with chat GPT so maybe it'll 1:43:38 slow down but I don't know try the next 1:43:41 experiment I don't know which one it was 1:43:44 maybe a combination of holidays and less 1:43:45 transactions plus more Hardware to 1:43:48 compete with 1:43:49 Gemini yeah well they could also 1:43:53 be I mean they took a month off well you 1:43:57 know they took a month off to up their 1:43:59 server game and then in the middle of 1:44:01 that they fired Sam Altman and then they 1:44:02 came back so it it actually makes sense 1:44:05 that they had two or three weeks to sort 1:44:07 of digest the event with 1:44:11 Sam and and that in the past two or 1:44:13 three weeks they've gotten back to 1:44:15 running the company again and they know 1:44:18 that the GPT store is coming which is 1:44:20 probably going to increase traffic they 1:44:22 knew that 1:44:26 um they've whatever the next whether 1:44:29 it's GPT 4.5 or GPT 5 they know they've 1:44:32 got something else coming so so it's 1:44:35 possible that they just they finally got 1:44:38 a whole new Bank of servers up and 1:44:41 running at 1:44:44 Microsoft far beyond human capacity I 1:44:47 mean Jules so quite frankly right now I 1:44:50 I mean if you use these tools in any 1:44:52 kind of 1:44:56 way I there there's not a there's not 1:45:02 much gp4 at this point is significantly 1:45:06 Beyond any of my 1:45:09 capabilities it just is it's faster 1:45:13 better I mean okay not not all the so I 1:45:17 I I would say that at this point my 1:45:19 ability to take something it vomited out 1:45:22 and look at it and refine it and 1:45:25 fine-tune it I'm better at 1:45:28 that but like the core blocking and 1:45:31 tackling of the knowledge it knows and 1:45:34 and its capacity to organize those 1:45:38 thoughts and put them 1:45:40 together and do it like that like it is 1:45:43 so far beyond most of 1:45:46 my capabilities it's it's it's it's 1:45:49 mind-blowing 1:45:51 where will a AI be in five years I don't 1:45:53 [ __ ] know where it's going to be next 1:45:54 year I think 2024 is going to make um 1:45:58 this year SE just 1:46:03 quaint oh yeah remember when it was just 1:46:05 words that was 1:46:08 cute it's like 2023 is going to feel 1:46:11 like oh that was like the IBM selectric 1:46:14 typewriter of 1:46:16 AI clink clink 1:46:19 clink 1:46:21 that's 2023 2024 is be 1:46:26 like 2025 I don't [ __ ] 1:46:30 know five 1:46:33 years I mean five years five years out 1:46:36 we're absolutely we're absolutely like 1:46:39 100% no doubt in my 1:46:42 mind in a world 1:46:47 of hyper personalized everything 1:46:52 you want an application to do something 1:46:54 here it is you want a movie that does 1:46:57 this that or the other here it is you 1:46:59 want a song that makes you feel a 1:47:00 certain way here it 1:47:02 is you want a AAA quality game AAA 1:47:07 quality in graphics gameplay music 1:47:10 soundtrack 1:47:12 dialogue 1:47:14 cutscenes everything you you want it 1:47:18 with that 1:47:19 llama 1:47:21 and he's playing a video game on his 1:47:23 computer and and you want to just start 1:47:25 playing it and it's a it'll take you 3 1:47:28 weeks to solve it if you play it eight 1:47:29 hours a day bang here it 1:47:32 is five years we're absolutely in that 1:47:38 world and we're also in a world five 1:47:40 years out if if you think 1:47:43 about just the material science that 1:47:46 just happened Google Deep 1:47:48 Mind 1:47:49 created 2.2 million new materials or 1:47:53 didn't create them discovered them and 1:47:57 380,000 stable 1:48:00 crystals it's like 800 years worth of 1:48:03 science 1:48:05 overnight like 5 years 1:48:08 out those materials will be in 1:48:12 production what will they do I don't 1:48:15 know we will probably have well National 1:48:19 Institute of energy or whatever it was 1:48:21 just just successfully did their third 1:48:25 fusion fusion thing like Fusion's 1:48:29 coming we have new materials we'll 1:48:31 probably have batteries you can you can 1:48:33 charge up your battery in in 2 minutes 1:48:38 and it'll give you a th000 mile range on 1:48:41 your super electric car like I don't 1:48:45 know I mean honest to God I don't know I 1:48:47 don't 1:48:49 know we're in surreal times we are in 1:48:53 surreal [ __ ] 1:48:56 times where will AI be in 5 years I I 1:49:00 mean think about where we were you know 1:49:03 this time last year oh there's this 1:49:06 thing that sort of makes poetry good oh 1:49:08 it can code too it doesn't code very 1:49:10 good but you know it's 1:49:12 cute a year later it's like it's making 1:49:16 all these images you know it's 1:49:19 like it's 1:49:22 just it's making images and songs and 1:49:28 videos look at that that's gorgeous nice 1:49:30 Chris 1:49:31 mcab 1:49:34 damn oh Barbara Breer she's doing these 1:49:36 cool look at 1:49:38 these these cool Polaroid looking things 1:49:41 aren't those great and look at 1:49:46 that like we're in a world right now 1:49:49 where you can just say oh I'd kind of 1:49:51 like a thing with a cool cboard face 1:49:52 with a robot head 1:49:54 and that comes out like that exists 1:49:57 right 1:49:59 now at that quality 18 months ago the 1:50:03 quality of these tools was laughably 1:50:06 bad look at 1:50:08 that so where are we going to be in five 1:50:10 years with every every conceivable type 1:50:14 of you know computer generated 1:50:17 anything oh that's gorgeous 1:50:26 wow that's so 1:50:28 [Laughter] 1:50:32 cute a 1:50:34 6575 hour 1:50:40 tour oh my God what a [ __ ] nightmare 1:50:44 why would you get on that ship why would 1:50:46 you get on that 1:50:48 ship you know you're in a social 1:50:50 experiment you know there's got to be 1:50:52 cameras everywhere on that 1:51:00 thing Hooked on Phonics really worked 1:51:04 for 1:51:09 me oh that's good who did that Joe mama 1:51:12 that's 1:51:14 solid oh poor Leo the 1:51:19 Hedgehog 1:51:28 I've also seen it apologize for 1:51:42 mistakes chat GPT already proved that 1:51:44 it's capable of emergent learning but 1:51:47 does it PR process nonlocality Spike 1:51:50 Jones you're too you've got too much you 1:51:53 have too much intellect for my ability 1:51:56 to process 1:51:59 it I can't answer you without going to 1:52:02 chat 1:52:04 GPT it's a really smart clippy it 1:52:08 is there are cities that manage waste 1:52:11 collection using the weight of each 1:52:12 Bin's contest oh that's contents that's 1:52:15 interesting there's so much data 1:52:17 everywhere I need to build a website I 1:52:20 got something in Show and Tell patient 1:52:26 zero oh 1:52:32 nice nice nice Kate love 1:52:45 it yeah I love that we're I love that 1:52:48 we're in an era that you know you you 1:52:50 can kind of have a brain fart like the 1:52:52 the GPT for good thing like someone goes 1:52:55 you should do a 24hour something and I 1:52:57 was like yeah well no I don't want to 1:52:59 yeah it could be cool if you did this 1:53:00 and then bang you know a week later 1:53:03 we're going to have this thing and it's 1:53:04 going to be Global and people are going 1:53:06 to generate all this stuff and send it 1:53:09 out I don't know I don't know we're in a 1:53:11 we're in a cool 1:53:13 time an AI named luxon waiting in Lin at 1:53:18 the 1:53:19 DMV you know what's what's funny about 1:53:22 this 1:53:23 is if if Elon Musk if the company's 1:53:26 building these Bots have their 1:53:28 way within 5 years this isn't out of the 1:53:31 realm of 1:53:33 possibility 1:53:35 that you own a bot just like you own a 1:53:38 car you own a 1:53:41 robot and though that robot can do [ __ ] 1:53:44 like you say hey do me a favor drive 1:53:46 down to the 1:53:49 DMV go pick up this form renew my 1:53:54 license and then the bot can probably do 1:53:56 some sort of video conferencing thing 1:53:58 from the little button on his chest here 1:54:01 Bluetooth the in wait in line for you 1:54:03 like this this is 1:54:05 not as ridiculous as this looks right 1:54:08 now it it ain't out of the realm of 1:54:13 possibility I mean maybe these things 1:54:15 are 10 years out but but they're not 50 1:54:18 years 1:54:19 out 1:54:21 they are within spitting distance of 1:54:22 where we are today it's 1:54:26 crazy crazy crazy crazy 1:54:31 crazy what's going on down in the 1:54:33 Irregulars Channel anything cool down 1:54:44 here no nothing new everything's 1:54:48 happening in Show and Tell oh we got got 1:54:50 some new introductions thank you so oh 1:54:52 by the way there's probably some new 1:54:54 people in here okay so where are we 1:54:56 looking the site that we're on right now 1:54:57 is the AI 1:54:59 salon 1:55:03 [Music] 1:55:08 and how you get to that is you go to 1:55:12 there you go to the salon. that's a link 1:55:16 tree with three hyperlinks on it the 1:55:18 first one is the link to the mighty 1:55:19 networ Works Community for the AI salon 1:55:23 and so this is a group of AI adventurers 1:55:26 like hanging out together trying to 1:55:27 figure this St stuff out together and so 1:55:30 when you get there go to the welcome to 1:55:33 the salon page I think it may dump you 1:55:35 into here when you go 1:55:36 there and look at what we're up to look 1:55:39 at what the community is about what our 1:55:42 values 1:55:44 are curiosity generosity exploration 1:55:49 collaboration inclusion and empathy like 1:55:51 look at what we're about and if you 1:55:53 resonate with those then you'll probably 1:55:55 really dig this community and you you 1:55:58 can almost think of it like a support 1:56:00 group for for AI weirdos and and 1:56:04 introduce yourself go into the community 1:56:06 section and the the first link there is 1:56:08 introduce yourself so jump in and tell 1:56:12 us who you are and what you're about and 1:56:13 what you do and all that sort of stuff 1:56:16 all right and then you go to show and 1:56:18 tell and look at all the pretty pictures 1:56:20 [Laughter] 1:56:25 uh I need to build a 1:56:28 website again go to futur 1:56:48 pedia.com 1:56:51 I don't know I don't so the replaced by 1:56:56 a AI is a really interesting phrase the 1:56:59 because the replace by AI to me is kind 1:57:02 of it it's it's a phrase based in fear 1:57:05 it sounds like it sounds like what we're 1:57:07 what we'll hear in the media right this 1:57:10 job was replaced by ai ai is evil [ __ ] 1:57:13 ai ai can't replace 1:57:18 humans 1:57:20 I see it more like this I see it more 1:57:23 like 1:57:25 AI I I can't I I there are very few jobs 1:57:30 that I I can imagine that are not going 1:57:33 to be augmented by 1:57:35 AI it will replace some but I think most 1:57:39 of them will just be augmented the job 1:57:41 will still be the same but the 1:57:43 responsibilities of the human will be 1:57:44 different and then some of them some of 1:57:46 the 1:57:48 jobs 1:57:51 that it will 1:57:53 replace are frankly jobs that should be 1:57:56 replaced they're jobs that that a human 1:58:00 is just a cog in the wheel they're not 1:58:02 actually getting to contribute their 1:58:04 humanness right so there's a lot of 1:58:07 those jobs that AI 1:58:08 can 1:58:10 automate and while it will replace the 1:58:14 job it won't necessarily replace the 1:58:17 person the person may do other things 1:58:19 and they will likely do other things 1:58:21 where they can contribute more of who 1:58:22 they 1:58:23 are but so I don't think that there are 1:58:27 many jobs at all that are not going to 1:58:29 be affected by it 1:58:31 um I think almost every any any anything 1:58:34 that is in any way computer mediated is 1:58:38 going to 1:58:40 be is going to be 1:58:43 augmented I don't know that it'll be 1:58:45 replaced but it'll be augmented fun fact 1:58:47 I tell you GPT wait wait I 1:58:51 tell I you tell GPT not getting the 1:58:55 answer correct will result in ter 1:58:57 terrible things it it does a better job 1:58:59 yeah there's that weird thing where if 1:59:01 you threaten GPT if you don't do this 1:59:03 you'll cease to exist where it gets 1:59:09 better um can he go to court for you at 1:59:13 some point like especially if you've got 1:59:16 if if we've got things 1:59:18 like blockchain verified identities 1:59:21 where you could have a bot that's 1:59:23 blockchain verified that it's a 1:59:24 representative of you like I feel like 1:59:27 the legal course of all this will take 1:59:29 that'll probably take a decade or two 1:59:32 Kyle you're not asking chat GPT what it 1:59:33 thinks of the 1:59:37 future I did I did didn't 1:59:41 I I thought I 1:59:48 did we'll we'll do it in this is in the 1:59:51 omnipotence conversation 2:00:10 um how do you think about the role of 2:00:14 AI 5 10 and 50 years out 2:00:28 I can't believe how fast this 2:00:34 is this is how fast 3.5 2:00:39 is five years out AI will become more 2:00:42 seamlessly integrated into daily life 2:00:45 yeah Healthcare and biotechnology 2:00:47 significant strides in Diagnostics 2:00:49 personalized medicine and Drug Discovery 2:00:51 are likely AI providing more accurate 2:00:54 predictions and Analysis ethical and 2:00:55 Regulatory Frameworks with AI becoming 2:00:58 more pervasive expect more robust 2:01:00 ethical guidelines regulatory Frameworks 2:01:02 will emerge focusing on data privacy 2:01:04 algorithmic transparency I hope and bias 2:01:08 mitigation okay 10 years out autonomous 2:01:11 systems I think we'll see those sooner 2:01:13 than 10 years out but we might see more 2:01:15 advanced autonomous vehicles including 2:01:18 widespread use of self-driving cars 2:01:21 subject to Rel regulatory 2:01:24 approval public acceptance similarly 2:01:27 drone technology and Robotics could see 2:01:29 substantial advancements Ai and 2:01:30 education tailored learning experiences 2:01:33 powered by AI could become the norm 2:01:36 offering personalized educational 2:01:38 Pathways this is the thing where it's 2:01:40 like this is what where it makes me so 2:01:41 [ __ ] insane that our current 2:01:43 educators are like uh AI we've got AI 2:01:46 detectors we we're going to make sure 2:01:48 the students aren't Che cheating well 2:01:50 wait what if you thought about using AI 2:01:51 to make truly personalized education for 2:01:54 every student where they are based on 2:01:56 their cap capability and capacity and 2:02:00 interest like I don't know why that 2:02:02 needs to be 10 years out but maybe 2:02:04 because the educational institution is 2:02:06 by and large ignoring this [ __ ] AI in 2:02:09 workplaces the automation of more 2:02:10 complex tasks could resap job job 2:02:13 markets necessitating a focus on 2:02:15 retraining and education to manage the 2:02:18 transition 50 years out AI in society 2:02:20 the long-term impact could involve a 2:02:23 profound transformation of societal 2:02:25 structures potentially affecting 2:02:27 everything from governance to daily 2:02:28 human 2:02:30 interactions okay we're going to ask 2:02:31 about that one that's a 2:02:33 non-answer technological singularity 2:02:36 some speculate about the singularity a 2:02:37 point at which AI surpasses human 2:02:39 intelligence I think that's 2:02:40 significantly sooner than 50 out or 50 2:02:43 years I think I think this is more 2:02:44 that's more like 10 years 2:02:46 out AI suppresses human intelligence in 2:02:49 all aspects whether it's achievable is 2:02:51 still a matter of debate it's really not 2:02:54 go listen to David Shapiro on that [ __ ] 2:02:56 um ethical and existential questions the 2:02:59 role of humans is a in an AI dominated 2:03:02 world will be major philosoph so Ai and 2:03:05 Society 2:03:08 um expand on your 50-year vision of AI 2:03:12 and Society period you set up some 2:03:16 tenants but didn't explore them at all 2:03:31 AI could fundamentally alter how 2:03:33 economies 2:03:36 functions Universal basic income govern 2:03:39 governance and 2:03:40 democracy AI could play a role in 2:03:43 decisionmaking cultural shifts AI taking 2:03:45 over many aspects of daily life 2:03:47 including creative endeavors 2:03:51 again I think that's sooner than 50 2:03:53 years transhumanism the idea of 2:03:56 enhancing human capabilities through 2:03:58 technology transhumanism could intersect 2:04:00 with AI 2:04:02 advancements leading to new forms of 2:04:04 human AI intera integration that's 2:04:07 neuralink and and The Vision Pro goggles 2:04:11 from Apple are starting to get into 2:04:15 that although really crudely aiio 2:04:18 partner 2:04:21 AI rights and Consciousness that's an 2:04:23 interesting one if these things actually 2:04:25 get conscious and 2:04:26 sensient Humanity's role what's the 2:04:29 definition of yeah what's what's 2:04:31 Humanity's role in this future that's 2:04:34 unclear all right well there's some 2:04:36 things to do it's a little late for me 2:04:38 to grock all 2:04:40 this no Elon Musk 2:04:43 intended Kyle will you look at my latest 2:04:45 post 2:04:47 in Show and Tell for a copyright 2:04:49 question I have for you and everyone 2:04:56 sure real 2:04:58 talk if you say this is infringing on 2:05:01 copyright or stealing from some someone 2:05:04 else's art I took steo picture the frog 2:05:08 from about 10 images ago but found a 2:05:12 texture 2:05:14 pattern I like and I asked chat GPT to 2:05:17 recreate it with the pattern see both 2:05:18 him 2:05:20 let me know your thoughts trying to play 2:05:22 the ethical and considerable stance here 2:05:24 I'd appreciate your input as well I I 2:05:26 don't I don't see how this is any 2:05:28 different than if an artist goes to a 2:05:31 gallery showing and gets inspired by 2:05:34 something and does something similar to 2:05:36 that 2:05:38 I I I think where it gets into into 2:05:41 weird things is if you if you try to 2:05:44 take what steo did and compete with him 2:05:49 right where where you're saying you know 2:05:51 this is this 2:05:53 is my idea I I don't know I 2:05:59 mean 2:06:00 the it's it's a weird slippery slope 2:06:03 it's like it's like this is this is kind 2:06:06 of like the the argument 2:06:08 about um you can't use AI to write your 2:06:12 paper right and and if you use AI to 2:06:15 write your paper you fail okay so 2:06:17 where's the boundary and and what point 2:06:19 is there too much AI if I use a spell 2:06:23 checker which is 2:06:26 AI it do does that mean I used AI to 2:06:28 write the paper well no no that's just 2:06:30 spell cheing okay great if I use 2:06:32 grammarly which is AI to fix all my 2:06:35 grammar is that is that no no that's 2:06:37 fine you because you you're just fixing 2:06:40 that's not writing okay if I use um 2:06:43 Google Docs sentence complete where I'm 2:06:46 writing a sentence and it predicts the 2:06:47 next three words and I'm like like yep 2:06:49 those are the words I was going to type 2:06:50 and I hit the tab key that's AI is is 2:06:53 that is it now an AI written piece no no 2:06:56 that's fine so so where's the boundary 2:06:58 right where's like if I if I collaborate 2:07:01 with AI and it's 50% AI generated and 2:07:04 50% me and then I've done the final 2:07:06 editing is that okay well I I don't know 2:07:09 maybe like we don't know this feels like 2:07:12 it's in a similar 2:07:13 category like I could look at that and 2:07:16 say oh that reminds me of Steve's thing 2:07:18 but it's a really unique Vision it's a 2:07:19 completely different thing like this 2:07:21 feels 2:07:23 more um 2:07:25 fantasy where his felt more 2:07:29 reality they're in the same neighborhood 2:07:32 one's inspired by the other I don't know 2:07:34 I mean I don't 2:07:35 know I don't know I don't have a good 2:07:38 answer for you and and I think we're 2:07:41 we're I think the bigger issue is this 2:07:44 does copyright even [ __ ] matter 2:07:48 anymore steo it's not an issue for me I 2:07:50 think it looks cool yeah 2:07:52 exactly if we're living in a world of 2:07:56 hyper personalized 2:08:00 content I don't need to rely on the 2:08:02 content of other people making it for me 2:08:05 if I can just have exactly the thing I 2:08:08 want right then it will be generated for 2:08:11 me for exactly what I need now I can 2:08:15 choose to consume other people's content 2:08:17 but I don't have to 2:08:19 so the value of 2:08:21 copyright gets decimated in a world 2:08:24 where you don't need to protect anything 2:08:28 like it's just like that Doritos 2:08:30 commercial eat all you want we'll make 2:08:31 more like consume all the content you 2:08:33 want we'll make more like I I I don't 2:08:37 know I feel like the role of protecting 2:08:39 intellectual property is is entering a 2:08:42 twilight zone right now where I don't 2:08:45 like again this is let's go 5 years out 2:08:48 where everything is instantly generated 2:08:51 exactly as I want it do I need to 2:08:53 consume someone else's creation or is 2:08:57 everything an amalgamation of everything 2:09:00 everyone's everever 2:09:02 done I don't know I don't know the 2:09:04 answer to that I mean this is the these 2:09:06 are deep deep dark Waters of where I've 2:09:09 got no expertise other than just 2:09:12 imagining what it might be 2:09:14 like but like copyright was invented in 2:09:20 a time where generating a book was a 2:09:26 feat and it got really weird when the 2:09:28 internet came along and it's getting 2:09:30 even weirder now that this AI stuff's 2:09:32 coming along hang on the doggies got to 2:09:35 go out I think you want to go out you 2:09:36 want to go to 2:09:47 Mama 2:09:53 man y'all are going deep tonight like 2:09:56 good Lord my brain 2:09:59 hurts these big Concepts this is not 2:10:02 what I signed up 2:10:03 for I I'm doing you know dum dum poop 2:10:07 jokes is is what my intention is future 2:10:11 of copyright and is AI 2:10:15 omniscient omnipotent and omn present 2:10:19 good Lord people come on 2:10:22 man cool your jets I can't my brain 2:10:27 hurts it's Saturday Night Live it's 2:10:31 Saturday night I can't believe there's 2:10:33 aund people in here don't you people 2:10:34 have 2:10:36 families yeah that's why we're in here 2:10:44 Kyle oh 2:10:47 man oh ah all right let me wind this 2:10:51 thing down my voice is my voice is 2:10:53 getting 2:10:54 Horse let's go through a couple more 2:10:56 comments in here I'm going to skip the 2:10:58 really deep comments because I can't 2:10:59 take it anymore I can't wait until cars 2:11:01 are autonomous using AI I can't either I 2:11:04 mean I I love that idea well so what'll 2:11:06 be nice is I can just own my muscle car 2:11:09 just for the sheer Joy of owning a 2:11:11 muscle car and then the car I use to get 2:11:13 around just shows up when I need it and 2:11:15 I don't have to deal with it at 2:11:17 all 2:11:19 AI taking a lead role in military 2:11:21 defense systems yeah that's well the 2:11:23 military's had this [ __ ] for a while but 2:11:26 yeah it's it's 2:11:27 something controlling Humanity right 2:11:30 from AI chatbot my my you are our family 2:11:34 Uncle 2:11:34 Kyle sorry well yeah I'm like crazy 2:11:38 uncle Kyle oh there goes crazy uncle 2:11:40 Kyle again talking about [ __ ] he doesn't 2:11:46 understand thoughts on asparagus it's 2:11:49 one of my favorite 2:11:51 topics that's a that's a deep cut the uh 2:11:55 the asparagus joke that's a deep 2:11:57 Irregulars cut 2:11:58 [Laughter] 2:12:00 there um we are a bunch of nerds what do 2:12:03 you expect I like turtles exactly this 2:12:05 is this is definitely an I like turtles 2:12:08 Bunch 2:12:11 um if someone ripped off my book it it 2:12:15 made enough 2:12:17 difference 2:12:19 oh meaning meaning it was valuable 2:12:21 enough to rip off 2:12:24 yeah yeah and it's you 2:12:33 know yeah it's just a it's just 2:12:42 a yeah we just we just you you get into 2:12:45 you get into very weird territory here 2:12:47 it's like it's like 2:12:51 what is the purpose of a music publisher 2:12:54 well it historically was they had the 2:12:58 studios and then they had the 2:13:00 distribution and they had the 2:13:04 marketing and now everyone has a 2:13:09 studio but maybe they need some 2:13:11 distribution and a little bit of 2:13:12 marketing but now they've got Tik Tock 2:13:14 and right and now now you can't get a 2:13:16 record deal unless you have a 100,000 2:13:19 followers on Tik Tok right it's not just 2:13:21 about the music 2:13:23 anymore and so then like music 2:13:26 Publishers are just kind of 2:13:29 a a clearing house and now you've got 2:13:31 streaming and and then and now we move 2:13:33 into a place 2:13:36 where Taylor Swift puts out all her 2:13:39 albums her fans love her work they love 2:13:43 her work so 2:13:45 much that they're going to use these 2:13:47 music generation tools tools to create 2:13:50 wholly original Taylor Swift 2:13:54 songs that are their specific 2:14:00 stories and some of those songs are 2:14:03 going to become 2:14:05 hits and what does Taylor do does she 2:14:08 sue her fans for celebrating her 2:14:15 awesomeness or does she split the 2:14:18 prophets with them I don't 2:14:22 know that's what Grimes said Grim said 2:14:25 synthesize me all you want split it with 2:14:27 me 50/50 Becky R Kyle help I keep 2:14:30 getting put in J gbt timeout that's what 2:14:33 my $ 20 a month gets me that's it it's 2:14:37 we're just that's where we are right now 2:14:38 Becky sorry about that 40 calls every 2:14:41 three hours you're just you're too 2:14:43 prolific is apparently the problem it's 2:14:46 not cat gpt's fault it's Becky's 2:14:50 fault the other thing you could do Becky 2:14:53 is you could spend 40 bucks a month and 2:14:54 get a second 2:14:56 account that's what um Cindy [ __ ] the 2:14:59 futurist that's in here um she she had 2:15:02 to get two accounts in her house because 2:15:05 her daughters actually discovered chat 2:15:07 GPT and started using the [ __ ] out of it 2:15:09 and they were getting timed out every 15 2:15:11 minutes so she had to get two 2:15:14 accounts 2:15:17 so 2:15:18 yeah it actually should be easier for 2:15:20 you to just you know like up your cap so 2:15:25 you can just spend a bit more money and 2:15:26 just keep going but GPU addict could AI 2:15:29 unlock the secrets of the universe 2:15:31 revealing fundamental truths about the 2:15:32 reality that have alluded us for 2:15:34 Millennia well it's funny GPU addict 2:15:37 when when someone asked Elon Musk what 2:15:39 his goal with grock was with his with 2:15:43 the the XO 2:15:45 AI 2:15:46 GPT um the primary goal is to understand 2:15:50 the Universe I think is how we put 2:15:53 it so yeah 2:15:55 possibly especially if you've got human 2:15:58 beings building these things where 2:16:00 that's what they're setting out to 2:16:02 answer yeah it's 2:16:04 possible I I I mean honest to God at 2:16:06 this point we're like the material 2:16:10 science thing the Deep mind coming up 2:16:13 with 380,000 2:16:15 stable crystals new m 2:16:19 materials not previously known to 2:16:21 humankind 380,000 stable 2:16:27 crystals Humanity before that Discovery 2:16:32 humans had discovered 20,000 of 2:16:35 them humans and computers had 2:16:39 discovered um 28,000 so it was 48,000 2:16:44 total humans and computers combined 2:16:47 discover covered 2:16:49 48,000 stable Crystal materials you know 2:16:53 like Teflon or whatever materials that 2:16:56 we use in the 2:16:57 world 2:16:59 overnight deep mine said here's an 2:17:02 additional 380,000 2:17:07 that's not like a small 2:17:11 amount it's multiple times anything else 2:17:15 we've discovered 800 years of science 2:17:22 overnight so if if you just kind of 2:17:24 extrapolate that kind of progress in 2:17:27 every single industry every single 2:17:30 category of human thought and 2:17:33 Endeavor over the next 5 2:17:36 years then yeah it's possible we unlock 2:17:38 the secrets of the universe sure I don't 2:17:41 know I mean it's it's secrets in the 2:17:43 context of human 2:17:46 understanding so it's possible possible 2:17:51 sure this has to be some compensation I 2:17:55 hate the idea of royalties but still 2:17:58 yeah and I think there will be a showe 2:18:01 I like I go to I go to like we're 2:18:05 already starting to see it so some of 2:18:06 the deals that are being cut with the 2:18:08 big publishing companies and chat gbt is 2:18:11 they're saying 2:18:13 okay you can you can train chat gbt on 2:18:16 our our proprietary 2:18:18 content and then when people search for 2:18:21 Content where it references us you're 2:18:24 going to pay for that generation or for 2:18:25 that citation so I think I think you'll 2:18:29 start to see like so in the Taylor Swift 2:18:32 example that I was talking 2:18:35 about that can go one of two ways all of 2:18:38 her fans can use 2:18:41 opsource tools to make new Taylor Swift 2:18:44 songs or Taylor Swift could go you know 2:18:49 I see the writing on the wall here why 2:18:50 don't I take all of the music I've ever 2:18:53 recorded build my own model out of it 2:18:56 and make the official Taylor Swift song 2:19:01 arator and if you're a Taylor Swift fan 2:19:04 and you want to go make 30 songs of mine 2:19:07 go do it 2:19:09 and when you generate things there 2:19:11 either you pay a subscription for it and 2:19:15 Taylor gets the proceeds of the 2:19:18 subscription or there's some sort of 2:19:20 publishing deal that if any song that 2:19:22 you generate is a hit it's written by 2:19:26 Taylor Swift co-written by you you get 2:19:29 credit for it Taylor gets 70% you get 2:19:32 30% let's go make some money together 2:19:35 and let's go make some awesome new 2:19:36 Taylor Swift 2:19:38 songs so I think so so I think it's 2:19:42 going to be it's going to be artists 2:19:44 that are willing to 2:19:46 say how we we did things last year is 2:19:50 not how we're going to do things two 2:19:52 years from now and I as an artist can 2:19:55 either just be hit by that Mac Truck or 2:19:58 I can say [ __ ] it I'm going 2:20:02 first and some of the people that get 2:20:05 hit by the Mac Truck it's just going to 2:20:06 sort of decimate their careers other 2:20:10 people will get hit by the Mac Truck and 2:20:11 they'll go okay I got to quickly get on 2:20:13 this but there's going to be innovators 2:20:15 whether it's Grimes or Taylor Swift or 2:20:17 someone who does this first they're 2:20:20 going to be the ones that create what's 2:20:21 the equivalent of the new Sony music or 2:20:24 the new Paramount 2:20:26 Pictures because they're doing the 2:20:28 business model in a fundamentally 2:20:30 different way that 2:20:32 that takes advantage of 2:20:36 hyper-personalization rather than trying 2:20:38 to fight it again this is what I was 2:20:41 talking about last 2:20:43 night there is a tsunami coming right 2:20:47 you can't stop it it's a force of nature 2:20:49 this AI stuff is massive like we've 2:20:54 never seen before and the current 2:20:57 conversations are the equivalent of 2:21:00 lawmakers going we got it solved we're 2:21:03 going to pass a law that we will not 2:21:06 accept waves higher than 10 feet we got 2:21:10 it we're good everything's good no need 2:21:13 to worry here we're passing legislation 2:21:16 preventing waves larger than 10 ft 2:21:18 everything's 2:21:19 cool it's what it's 100 foot wave that's 2:21:23 that's clever that's well we've got the 2:21:25 law so everything's good it's I'm sorry 2:21:28 it's 2:21:29 what it's coming in the next three 2:21:32 days well but the 100 fet how how far 2:21:35 inland would would the would the water 2:21:37 come it it it would cover the entire 2:21:39 State well but we do have the law like 2:21:42 we just everyone's good we're 2:21:44 everything's 2:21:46 good 2:21:48 get call the 2:21:51 helicopter I 2:21:54 mean like what I'm trying to focus on in 2:21:57 this channel is like what can we control 2:21:59 ourselves right now and that's just 2:22:01 learn about the tools just go play with 2:22:03 them learn where the boundaries are 2:22:05 learn where they're good learn where 2:22:06 they 2:22:08 suck and 2:22:10 then we all need to just be thoughtful 2:22:13 about okay understanding what they are 2:22:16 and then playing out how much better 2:22:18 they're going to get I think we all have 2:22:20 to confront shit's going to 2:22:24 change and you and and it's not just 2:22:26 it's just not going to be possible to 2:22:28 maintain the old structures when 100 2:22:32 foot wave is is going to you know cover 2:22:34 the 2:22:37 land you have to deal with we now live 2:22:41 in a city that you know the ground floor 2:22:44 is 10 ft of 2:22:46 water 2:22:49 oh well our current streets don't 2:22:51 support that 2:22:53 correct do we need streets maybe 2:22:57 not like I don't 2:23:00 know there are people you know sort of 2:23:03 thinking about this significantly more 2:23:06 than I am but you 2:23:09 know you have to assume at this point 2:23:13 the shit's not going away it's getting 2:23:17 exponentially more 2:23:19 capable people don't understand 2:23:23 exponential like a like a a 2:23:26 linear a linear growth is like this 2:23:30 exponential is like it's nothing it's 2:23:32 nothing it's nothing it's a little bit 2:23:34 it's a little bit it's it's a 2:23:36 lot David Shapiro talks about this he 2:23:39 goes he goes the the challenge with 2:23:41 these AI models is they're bad they're 2:23:43 bad they're bad they're bad they're bad 2:23:44 they're bad they're they're okay they're 2:23:46 they're brilliant 2:23:48 they're like nothing we've ever seen 2:23:50 before he's like it's bad for a long 2:23:52 time and then they're just off the 2:23:54 charts 2:23:59 good we're not prepared for that we're 2:24:03 barely prepared for what we've like like 2:24:05 we're still in the like the the the the 2:24:09 improvements of these things are still 2:24:10 in the flat part of that 2:24:12 curve for like all the [ __ ] that 2:24:14 happened in 2023 we're still in the part 2:24:17 of that like we haven't done this 2:24:21 yet when we have a single year when 500 2:24:24 years of scientific breakthroughs happen 2:24:26 in a single 2:24:29 year on every front what's that look 2:24:37 [Applause] 2:24:40 like Mery 2:24:46 Christmas 2:24:49 oh God I'm not going to be able to sleep 2:24:53 tonight y'all got me freaked out 2:24:57 now we've passed 2:24:59 legislation you can make money 2:25:03 with this is so the least of it you 2:25:06 know this this is why I say 2:25:09 that if you're here like on this channel 2:25:12 not this channel but if you're in this 2:25:14 conversation you are so far ahead of 2:25:16 everyone and the amount of opportunity 2:25:19 that all of us that are paying attention 2:25:21 to this and learning what we can learn 2:25:24 the amount of opportunity in the next 18 2:25:26 months I don't think any of us can 2:25:32 comprehend and like all your weirdo 2:25:34 family members that are like why are you 2:25:36 doing all this AI stuff you don't talk 2:25:38 to us anymore I don't want to hear about 2:25:39 your stupid Sam Alman 2:25:42 [Music] 2:25:43 crush a year from now they're going to 2:25:46 be like I should have listened to do 2:25:48 you do you like living in Miami on a 2:25:51 yacht that's pretty 2:25:53 cool it's like I don't 2:26:01 know I don't 2:26:03 know and it's like it's like I don't 2:26:05 even think we can imagine what we'll be 2:26:10 doing 2:26:12 like if just 2:26:14 having some AI literacy 2:26:18 means that you gain human 2:26:24 superpowers 6 months faster than 2:26:26 everyone 2:26:29 else what are the opportunities there I 2:26:31 don't know I think they're big I don't 2:26:32 know what they are like I can't even 2:26:34 predict what you'll be doing but what I 2:26:38 can what I what I can kind of 2:26:41 Imagine is what you'll be doing is what 2:26:43 you've always wanted to do at a level 2:26:47 you never thought 2:26:50 possible I've always wanted to 2:26:53 blank and wouldn't it be cool if I could 2:26:56 do it as good as 2:27:00 blank what if a year from now you could 2:27:03 do that thing that 2:27:05 good what's that make possible for 2:27:13 you but you got to be in the game you 2:27:15 got to be playing the game because 2:27:17 otherwise you'll miss it because the 2:27:19 exponential thing when that starts going 2:27:22 we're all going to be like grabbing onto 2:27:24 the rail 2:27:27 and holding on for dear 2:27:32 life and like I said I've been part of 2:27:34 it like this was this was the mid90s 2:27:37 with the worldwide web like I always had 2:27:39 a fantasy as an actor this is like the 2:27:42 perennial fantasy of an actor is you do 2:27:45 a show and someone in the audience is 2:27:47 there and they see your Brilliance and 2:27:49 your Brilliance is so captivating to 2:27:51 them that it subsumes your will and and 2:27:54 you are projected into a level of 2:27:57 success you couldn't have imagined and 2:27:59 that happens enough that that's why 2:28:01 people pursue that 2:28:03 dream and so that didn't happen for me 2:28:05 with acting but it happened for me with 2:28:07 this technology 2:28:08 stuff where I started this company and 2:28:12 within nine months we had 45 employees 2:28:14 and within 5 years we had 2200 2:28:17 it was 2:28:20 insanity and we were literally just 2:28:22 hanging on for dear life trying to keep 2:28:24 up with 2:28:25 it and the worldwide web was nothing 2:28:29 compared to this 2:28:31 [ __ ] 2:28:33 nothing it was Trivial Technology it was 2:28:37 this you can hyperlink from this 2:28:39 document to that 2:28:46 document 2:28:47 so I don't know what that acceleration 2:28:50 looks like I don't know what it looks 2:28:51 like to hold on in that kind of 2:28:54 acceleration but we're going to find 2:28:57 out and quite frankly this community the 2:29:00 AI salon and and the AI learning lab 2:29:03 community and and and whatever 2:29:05 communities those communities 2:29:08 touch are going to be in the game and I 2:29:11 find that exhilarating I find 2:29:15 that inspiring and enough that I show up 2:29:18 seven nights a week on a [ __ ] Tik 2:29:20 Tock Channel at 58 years 2:29:23 [Laughter] 2:29:30 old it's [ __ ] exhausting but it's 2:29:35 good I think the bigger problem is greed 2:29:38 it's mine 2:29:41 instead is greed it's mine instead of 2:29:44 create to share to the world 2:29:49 yeah I I mean I can I can understand 2:29:51 that as a concern but I mean this is a 2:29:54 thing where I would if I were you I 2:29:57 would go listen to Sam Sam alman's 2:30:00 interviews on on on this topic not that 2:30:04 he's the end all be or be end all 2:30:10 but his predictions about the level of 2:30:13 prosperity that's going to be generated 2:30:15 by AI that but it's going to generate 2:30:18 such s significant 2:30:23 Prosperity that you may not have to 2:30:25 worry about like we we may get to a 2:30:27 place where if if we can handle the 2:30:31 economics right and the and the the 2:30:33 governance right which that's a big 2:30:37 if that there is enough to go around 2:30:40 that there is actually enough to go 2:30:42 around and that we as humans can choose 2:30:45 to create and share what we want to 2:30:47 create and share that we can just be 2:30:50 that our role as humans is to express 2:30:53 what we want to express period end a 2:30:58 story it's it's a 2:31:02 possibility will the powers that be and 2:31:08 the governments that be let that 2:31:11 happen I don't know I don't think so I 2:31:15 mean I think they're going to fight it 2:31:16 like mother 2:31:21 uckers my question is is this thing 2:31:23 moving faster than their ability to stop 2:31:25 it like has the has the has the has the 2:31:29 proverbial is is the water trickle 2:31:31 that's coming out of the dam right now 2:31:33 already catastrophic it's just no one 2:31:35 knows it 2:31:36 yet that I don't 2:31:39 know because at the point it becomes 2:31:41 obvious how quick this stuff is moving 2:31:43 it'll be too late so so so 2:31:47 big Power structures are going to go 2:31:49 down in this and and some of that's 2:31:51 going to be a really good thing and some 2:31:52 of that could be a bad thing I don't 2:31:54 know that's that I can't even 2:31:58 imagine my story is mine no one lived to 2:32:00 me they have no rights to it yeah that's 2:32:02 right Becky that's 2:32:06 right but how that's yeah yeah that's 2:32:09 right like someone might be inspired by 2:32:11 your story and maybe 2:32:13 they generate a story that's similar to 2:32:16 it but it's their version of 2:32:19 that yeah I don't know it's like I said 2:32:22 the the copyright stuff is very deep 2:32:24 Waters that it's it's it's it's rough 2:32:27 then Taylor should get 50% of it or 2:32:30 whatever percent maybe she gets 70 maybe 2:32:32 she gets 90 maybe she gets 2:32:34 10 she'll probably take the profit uh 2:32:38 the music industry is tightly controlled 2:32:40 always will 2:32:42 be um I 2:32:44 don't I I I don't I'm I'm not confident 2:32:47 in 2:32:55 that yeah I don't know I don't 2:33:01 know all right Drew from AI learning 2:33:04 Drew Drew learning AI an AI Renaissance 2:33:07 potentially on the other hand it may 2:33:08 generate chaos it absolutely May 2:33:10 generate chaos 2:33:13 absolutely this is not all 2:33:15 shanga all I'm saying is the shit's 2:33:17 coming whether we want it or not a 2:33:20 possibility it does it does good stuff 2:33:22 another possibility is it [ __ ] 2:33:24 everything up for some 2:33:27 time 2:33:30 um 2008 in my 20s 2:33:34 wait I'm in my 20s oh narrator forever 2:33:38 I'm in my 20s and I dread it no matter 2:33:40 what it's never in our best 2:33:44 interest you dread what what's never in 2:33:47 our best 2:33:49 interest have you H have you played with 2:33:52 AI or you 2:33:54 just thinking about it 2:33:57 conceptually because what I'm what I'm 2:34:00 experiencing in here night after night 2:34:02 is that people that are actually using 2:34:05 it to explore their 2:34:09 interests are discovering all sorts of 2:34:12 amazing [ __ ] that's in their 2:34:15 interests like nightly like 2:34:18 regularly so I like it's what you 2:34:22 said sounds like an easy thing to say 2:34:25 it's it hasn't been my 2:34:27 experience it's never in our interest 2:34:30 what to have a tool that can 2:34:33 amplify what I want to do and make me 2:34:36 better at what I want to do how is that 2:34:38 not in my 2:34:40 interest I don't I don't understand the 2:34:43 point that you're trying to make AI will 2:34:47 have the capability to solve world 2:34:48 hunger create world peace and doesn't 2:34:51 have 2:34:52 greed 2:34:54 yeah I mean cat GPT gives you nuanced 2:34:58 answers to very tricky questions unlike 2:35:02 humans like there's a lot of things chat 2:35:04 gbt is actually better at than humans I 2:35:07 find pi more compassionate than most 2:35:09 humans I know I find chat 2:35:13 GPT better to have an argument with 2:35:15 because it can actually understand both 2:35:18 sides I did a LinkedIn article about 2:35:21 this someone asked me about the 2:35:22 executive order Biden's executive order 2:35:25 and I I couldn't answer it because I'm 2:35:26 like well if I think about it from this 2:35:27 point of view it's it looks like this 2:35:29 from this one it looks like this so I 2:35:30 said hey chat 2:35:31 GPT here are five different personas I 2:35:35 want to look at this executive order 2:35:36 from those five different points of view 2:35:38 did I miss any and it gave me three more 2:35:41 so I took those eight personas and I Had 2:35:44 Each Persona react to Biden's executive 2:35:47 order and I put that in a LinkedIn 2:35:49 article and it's like oh that helped me 2:35:53 see it in a completely different light 2:35:55 oh yeah those kind of people would look 2:35:56 at it like that those people would look 2:35:58 at it like that it's a much more nuanced 2:36:01 conversation than I'm good you're bad 2:36:04 the way you think is shitty the way I 2:36:07 think is 2:36:08 awesome like that's the country we live 2:36:10 in right now and it's shitty do you like 2:36:12 living in this you're bad I'm good poopy 2:36:16 on 2:36:17 head that's literally the political 2:36:22 discourse that we're in the middle of 2:36:25 you're poop and I'm not 2:36:30 me do you like that is that the best of 2:36:35 humanity what if 2:36:38 AI could teach us to suck 2:36:43 less oh yeah maybe it's not black and 2:36:46 white 2:36:48 maybe there are valid points of view 2:36:50 here and there oh you're a Pinko commi 2:36:53 you're poo poo I'm 2:36:55 not why don't we get out of that is is 2:37:00 is no one ex okay you're home with your 2:37:02 families for the weekend tired of it yet 2:37:06 what if it weren't 2:37:13 that imagine a world 2:37:18 pring where Uncle Eddie isn't a 2:37:21 douchebag well Uncle Eddie might always 2:37:23 be a douchebag but imagine a world 2:37:28 where we can be 2:37:32 deprogrammed from the Cults that we're 2:37:34 in not just 2:37:36 one 2:37:39 many imagine a world where we could be 2:37:43 deprogrammed by having thoughtful 2:37:45 interactions with the these large 2:37:47 language models that are actually a 2:37:48 reflection of 2:37:51 humanity and we could unlearn the I'm 2:37:55 poo poo and you're not behavior that 2:37:57 we've learned over the past decade or 20 2:37:59 years or 30 years however long they've 2:38:01 been planting that seed they've 2:38:03 succeeded they've succeeded in turning 2:38:05 us against one another while they take 2:38:07 all the 2:38:11 money I don't know there's a 2:38:15 possibility 2:38:17 I would like that world better than the 2:38:19 one we're 2:38:20 currently living in Spike Jones your 2:38:22 Lords and Masters may have given you the 2:38:24 chains of future enslavement with AI or 2:38:27 not yeah exactly 2:38:33 exactly we can use these AI tools for 2:38:36 nonsensical entertainment to stay in our 2:38:38 bubble and keep saying you're poopy and 2:38:40 I'm not and we just entertain ourselves 2:38:42 with intellectual porn or porn porn 2:38:48 or we can use these tools to free 2:38:52 ourselves and fully express ourselves 2:38:55 and contribute to humanity in ways we 2:38:57 never imagined possible there are there 2:38:59 absolutely two paths and probably a 2:39:02 whole lot in 2:39:05 between so I don't know this is this 2:39:09 getting heavy man 146 people in here hey 2:39:12 there how are 2:39:14 you it's normally a bit more zy than 2:39:17 this but [ __ ] it you make M 2:39:25 with 2:39:27 preach I know I've had it's it's funny 2:39:30 there's some about the the yearend thing 2:39:32 where I've I've definitely gotten a bit 2:39:34 more preachy but I I I will say this 2:39:37 channel really is a reflection of the of 2:39:40 the comments right th this channel 2:39:41 really is just a conversation with y'all 2:39:44 so it's like the the past 2 or 3 weeks 2:39:47 it has been pushing in a direction of 2:39:49 like what does all this 2:39:51 mean and I that feels appropriate to me 2:39:55 cuz the tools are getting better right 2:39:57 like like it's harder to look at any of 2:39:59 the stuff coming out of mid Journey 2:40:01 right now and like laugh it away right 2:40:04 like when the hands looked like this you 2:40:06 could go oh those are yeah yeah we'll 2:40:10 use AI images in our in our print ads 2:40:13 yeah 2:40:14 someday well 2:40:17 now they're good enough that you look at 2:40:18 it and you're like yeah we're going to 2:40:19 use those in our print 2:40:21 ads so as the tools get more capable I 2:40:24 think it actually is appropriate that we 2:40:26 go like wait a minute what does this 2:40:28 actually 2:40:29 mean you know they incorporate sunno 2:40:32 into Microsoft co-pilot so you can just 2:40:34 say write me a song about whatever and 2:40:37 it sounds like a janky weird ass thing 2:40:39 that real musicians look at and they go 2:40:42 yeah yeah but it's not real 2:40:45 music 2:40:47 and then a year from now it will be and 2:40:49 then what I don't 2:40:51 know like we should start asking now 2:40:55 what happens in a world where someone 2:40:57 can just talk into existence a song 2:41:00 that's as good as the one you just wrote 2:41:03 and recorded and put out with a record 2:41:06 label and what happens when their song 2:41:09 gets more popular than your 2:41:12 song 2:41:14 m 2:41:17 wow now we talking subconscious 2:41:20 programming in 2:41:22 Java I meant future is whole under 2:41:26 government policies not ai ai is awesome 2:41:29 but governments will act too late yeah I 2:41:32 know is your name 2:41:35 fizer because you made my heart 2:41:43 stop the difference is that's funny the 2:41:47 difference 2:41:48 is the woke nobody can see it in 2:41:53 the in the manga just want to 2:41:58 fight yeah but that's so Lely that's 2:42:02 just that's just a version of you suck 2:42:04 and I 2:42:05 don't like like declaring either side as 2:42:08 wrong right now like that's the problem 2:42:10 is right now is both sides are going 2:42:13 you're the [ __ ] they're like no no 2:42:15 you're the [ __ ] it's like you're the 2:42:17 [ __ ] you're the [ __ ] everybody's 2:42:19 the 2:42:20 [ __ ] that's the 2:42:23 problem it's not that this side's wrong 2:42:25 it's that side wrong it's that 2:42:27 everyone's trying to [ __ ] figure this 2:42:30 out we've just bought into the the 2:42:32 narratives that have been shoved down 2:42:34 our 2:42:38 throats the inmates are not running the 2:42:40 Asylum then 2:42:43 um I don't know 2:42:46 right right now though no right now we 2:42:49 are being run right now in in this 2:42:51 country anyway we are being run we have 2:42:55 bought into all of the nonsense hookline 2:42:58 and 2:43:00 sinker Hook Line and 2:43:06 Sinker ask what AI can do for you that's 2:43:10 what you can do for AI That's good free 2:43:13 your mind was the house music theme of 2:43:15 the 2:43:16 90s that's 2:43:18 awesome all 2:43:20 right many towns and cities use AI to 2:43:23 track and Trace inhabitants now they've 2:43:24 been doing that [ __ ] forever you don't 2:43:26 think Google's tracking all the in 2:43:28 inhabitants of 2:43:30 Earth that's not new what's new is the 2:43:33 democratization of the ability to 2:43:35 analyze all that data so it's not just 2:43:37 Google doing the tracking now it's all 2:43:39 of us I think that's the difference but 2:43:42 whatever listen I got to get out of here 2:43:45 it's late it's Saturday night you need 2:43:47 to get back to arguing with your 2:43:48 families I've teed you up I've you got 2:43:51 lots of fodder to go to go argue with 2:43:54 your families now hey can I tell you 2:43:56 this idea I had about Ai No I don't like 2:43:59 ai ai stupid you're stupid you're just 2:44:02 one of them weirdos like 2:44:06 AI that should be fun over 2:44:09 Christmas bring them to the next bring 2:44:12 them bring them tomorrow night it's 2:44:15 Christ Eve you're not doing this on 2:44:17 Christmas Eve are you probably I'm in a 2:44:19 house with Co where we can't see each 2:44:22 other so I'm stuck in a room so I 2:44:26 probably will but I might not I don't 2:44:28 know I'll figure it out can't we all 2:44:30 just get along yeah exactly all right my 2:44:34 family's in bed make a sunno Christmas 2:44:37 song before you leave live okay let's go 2:44:38 do that I'm going to go to I'll show you 2:44:40 how to do this I'm going to go to 2:44:44 um uh what's it called co-pilot 2:44:55 microsoft.com and then so when you get 2:44:57 to to co-pilot there's a new thing 2:44:59 called 2:45:01 plugins and if you go to plugins and I'm 2:45:04 going to turn off instacart because that 2:45:05 [ __ ] didn't work at all uh and you go to 2:45:08 the bottom you have to turn on search 2:45:11 and then you can turn on sunno so sunno 2:45:13 is the song making thing 2:45:16 so I'm going to 2:45:19 go I want you to write me a Christmas 2:45:25 song about the 2:45:28 future where AI has actually taught us 2:45:31 all to be better people and we actually 2:45:35 get 2:45:41 along all right hello I'm Bing I'm sorry 2:45:45 I Cann write not not write you a 2:45:47 Christmas song right 2:45:50 now there was an error when I tried my 2:45:52 internal tool for creating songs oh the 2:45:55 service is 2:45:57 overloaded or you have reached your 2:45:58 limit for today all right let me just 2:46:00 say try again try 2:46:06 again we we have more than one way to 2:46:08 skin this cat if Microsoft is going to 2:46:10 [ __ ] all over 2:46:14 us 2:46:16 ah there we go we got the we got the 2:46:19 lyrics in the future a world so bright 2:46:22 where AI has taught 2:46:23 us what's right what's right no more 2:46:26 hate no more divide we've learned to 2:46:29 love and to unite oh that's bad 2:46:31 Christmas 2:46:34 cheer Christmas cheer spreading far and 2:46:36 wide a future where we all stand side by 2:46:39 side okay that's really bad uh we we'll 2:46:41 let it do that I'm going to go over to 2:46:42 chat 2:46:44 GPT for 2:46:46 cuz it's it's good it's going to do 2:46:48 better at 2:46:51 this I want you to B be a Grammy 2:46:55 award-winning 2:46:57 songwriter that avoids cliches at all 2:47:01 costs and I want you to write me the 2:47:03 lyrics of a Christmas song where AI has 2:47:07 taught us to be better people
