15. 3:19things in your prompt apparently they show up there but maybe that's something we play with tonight um we can do that yeah lovely

62. 11:18so I'm going to talk to you about the AI salon so the AI Salon is a community that this channel in a weird way is kind
63. 11:26of an extension of the AI salon so the AI salon is a group I started a year ago the week after chat GP launched last year I started this
64. 11:37group because I I just had this funny feeling that oh this AI stuff is kind of like the worldwide web stuff was in the
65. 11:45mid 90s and back then I started this group called the worldwide web artist Consortium which was a a New York City
66. 11:51based group that was kind of like the you know anyone doing anything in web in New York City back in the mid 9s was was
67. 11:59part of whack whack is what we called it and I thought this AI Stuff felt even more um revolutionary than the
68. 12:08worldwide web did back then and so this group is think of it right now because this AI stuff is so new to a lot of
69. 12:15people think of it kind of like your support group so so many of you are home with your families and you're like hey
70. 12:21guys I'm really excited about this AI stuff and they're like shut up about the AI stuff we don't want to hear about the
71. 12:27a AI stuff Jenny it's all talk about the AI stuff maybe we should talk about how we're going to deep fry the turkey so if
72. 12:34you're having those kind of conversations this is where you go so this is full of a bunch of people who
73. 12:41have chosen to be on the AI Adventure hence that image right we're we're we're we're a bunch of Misfit ragtag neru
74. 12:49Wells you know journeying together into whatever the abyss of this stuff is so that's what the AI Salon is so if you go

125. 20:52page a space called AI tools you can suggest your own if you find Cool Tools you can suggest your own and people have
126. 21:00been which is really cool um and then there's the salon picks so this is a list I just updated this this morning I
127. 21:07went on a little add hyperfocus tunnel and I went through and I just updated this completely including making easier to
128. 21:14read um in both um light and dark modes I I I realized that when you had this thing in light mode you couldn't read
129. 21:22any any of the any of the text that's now in Orange it was in yellow and you couldn't read it okay so if you're just
130. 21:30getting started with with um with what's it called with AI the place you want to start is chat GPT it's it's still the best they
131. 21:42they're the ones that set off all this pandemonium about let's see hang on is that better I think that's better
132. 21:52focus um they're the ones that set off all this all this sort of craziness about AI um and no one has caught them
133. 21:59yet so the free version of Chachi BT is called Chachi BT 3.5 it's really good um it's very very fast and so if you've
134. 22:08never played with chat GPT or if you're with an Edna right now and she's like oh God I don't want to I don't feel like
135. 22:14learning anything tonight Tanya if you're Tanya just show her how it works just just [ __ ] fire it up right now go to chat.

138. 22:55okay now if if you pay 20 bucks a month to Sam mman and his Crazy Crew over there at open AI you get chat GPT 4 it's
139. 23:05called chat GPT plus and I actually went in here today and I wrote down all the things that you get for that 20 bucks a
140. 23:12month it's actually insane so so like chat GPT is like good it's it's you can do you know stuff fast and you can do
141. 23:23chatty kind of things and you can do coding and it's actually really useful but here's all right let's see Red Green show
142. 23:30Canadian posum Lodge oath when all else fails play dead that's really good um so here's all the things that
143. 23:39that chat gp4 does it does the B basic text stuff writing document analysis coding all the stuff that GPT 3.5 does it's much
144. 23:50slower but it is dramatically better like it's really good at writing it's really good at coding it's really good
145. 23:58at stuff like that then it's got this thing called custom instructions where you can basically give your chat GPT a
146. 24:04personality it's got internet access it is now connected to the internet with Bing it's got this thing called code
147. 24:11interpreter which is which is also called in in different versions of their marketing Advanced Data analysis um
148. 24:18where it will write and and execute its own python code to do data analysis for you it's insane it includes GPT vision
149. 24:28where you can upload images and it can see them and understand them it it's got Dolly 3 where it can make the images so
150. 24:34most of the images you see in show inel uh have been from Dolly 3 although now that mid Journey 6 is out there's I I
151. 24:42noticed there's been a mix and there's also been more video in there which is kind of fun um it's got a conversational
152. 24:50GPT which is currently only available in the mobile apps actually this is conversational GPT is actually available
153. 24:57in both um 3.5 and 4 but if you have the the official chat GPT app you can talk to it and then I put in here ask it to
154. 25:07translate for you like here watch so I'm going to I'm going to launch the chat GPT app I'm going to put it in conversation
155. 25:22mode I'd like you to act like a translator for me I'll speak in English and then I want you to translate into
156. 25:29German without repeating the English is that okay sure I can do that great go ahead with your English sentence and I'll translate it into
157. 25:42German for you great a hedgehog fell into the pond and stumbled upon a turtle and the two of them got out of the pond
158. 25:50and dried off only to find out they were being stared at by a llama
159. 26:06[Music] so if you didn't know that was available that's available um and then the final the final thing in chat GPT 4 is that
160. 26:16you can create and share what are called custom gpts or gpts or Bots you can it it's just absolute Insanity what what
161. 26:32is possible now and like how deep this this program goes so the thing I'm about to announce for next Saturday is uh has
162. 26:39got to do with gpts we're going to we're going to make some gpts together um and what gpts are is you you basically give
163. 26:48it custom instructions like you say I want to create a GPT that helps people write business plans or I want to create
164. 26:54a GPT that helps people make groovy images or want to create a GPT that you know helps people make holiday cocktails
165. 27:02which is the first GPT I did was a was a cocktail one um they're they're just nuts and they're a blast to make you you
166. 27:09literally it requires zero coding not like low code like you have to learn a whole program to do it you
167. 27:18just tell it what you want it to do and it makes you this this bot that you can share with other people it's amazing so
168. 27:24that's that okay so and then there's uh there's if you're a developer open AI also has the the the chat GPT the open
169. 27:32AI playground which is where you can go develop GPT application so that's all chat GPT like all of that it's nuts okay
170. 27:43um other large language models there's Claude Bard I moved perplexity up here I demoted uh grock um from from the big
171. 27:52four because perplexity is the one that keeps rearing its its pretty head and then there's Microsoft co-pilot so these
172. 27:59four are the first the the the sort of the big four after chat GPT then you've got specialty large language models you
173. 28:07got Pi which is really good and conversational so just like I talked to Chachi PT right now you can talk to Pi
174. 28:14in their mobile apps you've got grock which in my opinion is not currently worth the 16 bucks a month cost to
175. 28:22access it but I have a feeling it's going to get better and way more integrated into X and I would assume
176. 28:29that in a in a fairly short amount of time you won't need a subscription to use it but we'll see um then you've got
177. 28:37um llama 2 from meta that's actually a whole world of open-source large language models that it's sort of the
178. 28:43tip of the iceberg for and then you've got po which gives you access to lots and lots of other large language models
179. 28:49um and and it's also got its own bot maker where you can make and monetize Bots there just like gpts so
180. 28:57all of these all of these things are all just different versions of chat GPT competitors of it collaborators with it
181. 29:05things like that okay image generation you got Dolly 3 which you use inside of chat GPT and Microsoft co-pilot you've
182. 29:13got mid Journey which just went to version six and version six looks quite impressive also mid Journey now has a
183. 29:21website where you it's in Alpha right now so not everyone has access to it but if you have access to it um you can make images on a website
184. 29:31rather than in Discord which a lot of people hate Discord and how mid Journey currently works that's going to change
185. 29:37very very shortly here you have Kaa AI which has this realtime what do they call it thought to image generation
186. 29:45where you just draw shapes and it automatically renders them into images Leonardo now has all sorts of features
187. 29:53which are just amazing then you got Firefly which if if you're in corporate America Firefly is really good just
188. 29:59because it hasn't been trained on copywritten uh data um video generation so here we are with the image to video
189. 30:08question if Cheryl's still here she's like dude it's been like an hour like are you going to ever get to this I'm the turkey's burning
190. 30:21um um so I actually organized these so for video generation like text to video the two big players right now are Runway
191. 30:30ML and pika pika Labs p. art um they're both quite good they're also both really really janky like getting
192. 30:42predictable results out of these things is not good although I got to say that both of them are doing things like
193. 30:49allowing you to draw on a certain part of the image and just have Motion in one part of the image um so they're they're
194. 30:57getting they're getting interesting also Runway ml has this thing called Runway TV oh which I didn't add the hyperlink
195. 31:04there hang on nah [ __ ] it I'll do that later um Runway TV is like um like very early Netflix or very early MTV um where
196. 31:15people are sharing videos they made with run Runway ml um I have a feeling it or something like it is going to be a very
197. 31:22big deal at some point not right now but worth paying attention to and if you make a video a movie with Runway ml you
198. 31:31can submit it to Runway TV and because it's so early you'll get on there and you know a year from now it's going to
199. 31:38be hard to get on there right you're going to have to be an actual filmmaker with credentials and qualifications
200. 31:44right now you just have to be someone that made something so do that okay um then the next category of
201. 31:54these things is Avatar creation hey Jen and D- ID these two also keep one one uping them each other um there's another
202. 32:04there's another version of this uh called Synthesia which which was kind of one of the early players but I don't
203. 32:11hear them talked about Much Anymore um they might be good but these are the only two I'm paying attention to right
204. 32:16now hey Jen and D- ID those are they're quite amazing um and then the last one on video is a thing called visla which
205. 32:24is I'm just calling it a stock video editor you tell it what you want like I want a video of Cleveland in the fall
206. 32:34and it will go find stock video footage of Cleveland in the fall Stitch it together write a narration speak the narration and put
207. 32:44music behind it and edit it all together in in like a minute so amazing um it's not particularly compelling video but if
208. 32:52you need to knock out a corporate video really quick you can knock out a corporate video really quick quick then
209. 32:58on the music and audio front you got 11 Labs you got sunno Ai refusion and sound draw um 11 Labs is voice synthesis sunno
210. 33:07and refusion are text to song and sunno just cut a deal with Microsoft so if you go to co-pilot microsoft.com you can ask it to write a
211. 33:19song and it will it's amazing um then you got uh sound draw is like a loop composer kind of like Garage Band except it will
212. 33:30generate you tell it how long you want the song You Want It Fast medium or slow and what attributes and it'll write you
213. 33:3620 songs in about 15 seconds um so if you need to knock out music quick that's good enough it's a great site then you
214. 33:45got 3D worlds and objects um go play with those they're really fun um blockade labs in particular text to 3D
215. 33:53world is really cool I have a typo there and then and then the last thing is people you should follow so these are
216. 34:00the four right now that I think are um are the are the biggies that that I think are are relevant right now Ethan
217. 34:09mullik is probably top of the list he's a Wharton business school Professor really insightful go go follow his stuff
218. 34:15David Shapiro if you're geeky at all or if you really want to understand the future that we're entering he's really
219. 34:23good at explaining it um super iiac neuros spicy self- declared neuros spicy um all that sort of [ __ ] but but really
220. 34:33brilliant guy Paul rer from the marketing AI Institute to give you a sense of how early he is in the game he
221. 34:41started the marketing AI Institute in 2018 he was 5 years early and and like all of a sudden this last year he became
222. 34:49a big deal but he's been at it for a while so he's got really good perspective on this and then Rachel
223. 34:54woods from the AI exchange here on Tik Tok she's she she's the you know think of uh if if if if there's yin and yang
224. 35:03you know this Channel and Rachel Woods channel are kind of opposites right she's about order and predictability I'm about chaos and
225. 35:12nonsense um so if you're doing if you're doing Biz stuff that's really good and then there's some directories in there
226. 35:17so that's all of that is the recommended list so that will take up not only your week but probably the next month if you really dig into
227. 35:29this this list in my it why I created this this this list started it had three sites on it when it started and then
228. 35:38I've just been adding to it and then I had to categorize it and and and what's what's happening is these tools are getting more and more
229. 35:45capable and if you really want to be AI literate these days you kind of have to understand what's coming what's possible
230. 35:53and and as you can imagine just understanding like all of this [ __ ] from chat gp4 just understanding what chat gp4 makes possible is
231. 36:07Bonkers right so every one of these links on this list is a whole another Rabbit Hole you can go down um so don't
232. 36:16get overwhelmed like I have to learn all this [ __ ] it's it's less like that and more like think of it like this this is
233. 36:22a list of stuff that if you go play with it just play and have a good time it will serve you well because you'll start
234. 36:30to figure out the shape of what's possible today and then as new things enter the marketplace you'll go oh
235. 36:37that's actually a big deal cuz that's something I've been trying to do and the current tools don't do that really well
