Description

FRIDAY NIGHT DATE NIGHT - You going to wrap up the week right? In a hands-on creative session, Kyle Shannon demonstrates his complete workflow for producing an AI-generated music video from scratch. Inspired by the artist Kelly Bosch, he walks viewers through a step-by-step process that begins with analyzing an image in ChatGPT to generate new prompts. From there, Kyle uses Midjourney and its style reference features to create a series of unique, storybook-style visuals. The creative journey continues as he prompts ChatGPT to develop a surreal song concept—a children's book coming to life during a psychedelic experience—and generate corresponding lyrics and musical direction for the AI music tool Suno. The conversation takes an interesting turn as Kyle shares his own AI-generated song, "Trouble," playing both a soft and a hard rock version to showcase the technology's versatility. This sparks a discussion on the potential for AI in the music industry, from songwriting to placing tracks in film and television. Throughout the tutorial, Kyle emphasizes the "chain of craft," highlighting how human creativity and intentionality guide the AI tools at every step. The stream concludes with a demonstration of animating the images, editing them into a cohesive video, and a fun, collaborative session remixing a song for a Suno contest. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? 2:36 >> Oh, you know what I'm doing. [laughter]
2:43 [laughter]
2:44 Yeah, this will be funny. The Tik
2:45 Tockers will appreciate it.
2:48 [clears throat]
2:49 Or they won't. [laughter]
2:55 If you were trying to find me on the Tik
2:57 Tok, I was successfully recording a Tik
3:00 Tok.
3:02 But I wasn't live. [music]
3:03 I hit the big red button. I was just in
3:05 a different mode.
3:07 [laughter]
3:09 [music]
3:11 Yeah. We're going to need you to go on
3:12 ahead and coming in on Saturday. Yeah.
3:17 [laughter]
3:20 Oh, good lord. Good people.
3:25 Okay.
3:27 TGIF Kyle, am I right? Oh yeah.
3:34 [music]
3:36 Yeah. It wasn't weird, Vicki. It was It
3:39 was what they call user error.
3:43 It was as if they gave old man a Tik Tok
3:46 account and he tried to go live and just
3:48 hit record instead. [laughter]
3:52 Hey Marge. Hey Marge. Yeah. No. Hey. I I
3:56 hit the red button and it it was like a
3:58 little square. It's
4:01 Oh, that was I was recording but I was I
4:04 didn't go live. Am I live now? C Can I
4:09 see my face? Yeah. Yeah, my face is on
4:12 it. Yeah, there's people talking.
4:16 Uh they're calling me a dumb dumb then.
4:19 It's working. Okay, good. Yeah. Nope.
4:21 Yep. Hey, no. Back to the wheel. I know
4:23 you love the wheel. That's
4:26 You're really good at that. Yep. That's
4:28 fantastic. Hey, do you need more nachos?
4:31 No, you're good. Okay,
4:34 fantastic, kids. Everything's good.
4:37 Everything's going to be good. It's
4:38 Friday night date night. I'll be your
4:41 date for tonight. If you don't have a
4:43 date,
4:44 this chunk of good-looking man is all
4:46 yours. [laughter]
4:47 You know what I mean?
4:50 It's
4:54 okay. I'm gonna play the We'll play some
4:57 some tunes on the guitar. Let's see.
5:04 Fantastic. Yeah. No, I really do. I like
5:06 that. It's It's like a It's like a
5:08 little uh It's like a party we have on a
5:11 Friday night.
5:13 Friday night. March equals quality
5:15 control.
5:18 [music]
5:23 Can you imagine if people just joined? I
5:26 listen, it's one of my great joys in
5:28 life that people join when I'm in the
5:30 middle of doing a little skit and
5:31 they're like, "What the [ __ ] is this?
5:39 [music]
5:48 >> [music]
5:50 >> Chimpy,
5:53 you and I here all alone.
5:57 [music]
5:58 Sunday morning, hair at home.
6:03 Skies blue and coffee strong.
6:07 It's true.

6:16 in front of me.

6:20 >> And I haven't got a clue what in the
6:22 world is happening to me.
6:28 Champy, are you singing? What is up with
6:30 you? Are we Are we going?
6:32 Brandon thinks you're just doing 4 day
6:34 work weeks now.
6:37 [music]

6:56 [music]
7:01 >> When I heard there was
7:04 a secret
7:08 David played that I please the Lord. Sam
7:11 Champy, you're not even singing to this.
7:13 What is with you?
7:15 You got gas? Are you a little gassy? Not
7:18 enough cheese. What's your deal?
7:26 [music]
7:28 In a westerly direction. [singing]
7:34 What's a good AI to shepherdize court
7:37 cases?
7:39 Court case law precedents.
7:43 If I knew what shepherizing
7:47 court case law president was, I could
7:49 probably answer you. [laughter]
7:54 I don't have a [ __ ] clue. Um, [music]
8:00 do you already have all the precedent?
8:02 Like you have cases. Are you trying to
8:04 find it? Are you trying to do research
8:06 or are you trying to scour through
8:08 precedent and come up with something? I
8:10 do not know. [music]
8:20 >> [music]
8:26 [music]
8:36 [music]
8:37 >> both would be great. Well, so so like I
8:41 don't know what's good, but here's
8:43 here's some things I can tell you.
8:47 Use deep research in chat GPT. Use deep
8:50 research in Claude. Use deep research in
8:53 Perplexity.
8:56 Use GenSpark.
8:58 Um, have it go do research and put
9:02 together a report for you. Have Manis go
9:04 do the same.
9:06 So, I would say I would say the deep
9:08 research tools. Oh, Gemini also has deep
9:10 research. I would say just go to
9:13 um
9:15 a bunch of different tools, put it on
9:16 deep research and then ask for what you
9:18 need to ask for. Cams. Oh, yeah. Um,
9:25 and then if you've got a bunch of briefs
9:27 that you want to summarize and look
9:29 through quickly, um, I would drop you
9:32 can if you open, uh, if you go to
9:34 notebook LM as in language model
9:37 notebook LM.google.com,
9:40 you can drop in up to 300 documents and
9:43 just ask it questions about it. Have it
9:45 summarize each document. Have it find
9:48 out what's common across the documents.
9:51 have it find places in the documents
9:54 that support your position. I like I
9:56 don't I know [ __ ] about law. I don't
9:58 know [ __ ] about law. Um,
10:06 and then there are probably you might
10:08 want to have deep research go find you.
10:10 Are there are there AI tools that
10:12 specialize in legal stuff? [music]
10:18 [music]
10:23 Happy Friday night date night everybody.
10:31 Oh man.
10:33 [music]
10:40 [music]
10:47 [music]
11:00 >> [music]
11:09 [music]
11:15 [music]
11:16 >> Love you.
11:24 >> [music]
11:29 [music]
11:30 >> I tried Notebook LM, but it tries to
11:32 conduct a podcast.
11:34 Well, you can just you can just interact
11:36 with you can just like chat with it. You
11:40 can there's like buttons you can push to
11:42 make a brief and things like that. If
11:43 you try to make an audio overview,
11:45 that'll make the podcast. But you can do
11:47 all sorts of stuff. You can just like
11:49 give it a prompt just like you give chat
11:51 GPT and it'll sort through the things.
11:54 I'd say I'd say dig a little deeper on
11:56 notebook LM.
12:00 Mr. Hello Kyle, I saw your video
12:02 trashing Tik Tok. Yeah, I it was about
12:06 my my 10th video in a row that barely
12:09 went above 200 views. I was like, you
12:11 [ __ ] [ __ ] [laughter]
12:14 Which [gasps] which someone on Tik Tok
12:16 gave me gave me the business. They were
12:18 like, "Well, it is an entertainment
12:19 platform, so maybe if your stuff was a
12:21 little more entertaining."
12:24 So, so I made a bitter video to that. I
12:26 made a a a bitter Gen X video [laughter]
12:33 response to that.
12:38 Oh, man.
12:40 Um, all right. You know what we're going
12:42 to do? We're going to start with a
12:44 little joy.
13:03 What?
13:20 Damn it.
13:22 >> I can't be expected to know how to
13:24 operate this thing.
13:28 It's not like I've been doing this for
13:30 four years.
13:34 It's only been three. [laughter]
13:37 [music]
13:44 >> [music]
13:49 [music]
13:56 [music]
14:01 >> There's a rhythm beneath my [music]
14:03 skin. A post that beats without sound.
14:08 It lives [singing] in the side between
14:10 words in the spaces [music] the world
14:13 forgot.
14:16 It moves like a tide through morning
14:20 unseen but pulling [music] me close.
14:24 Every heartbeat tiny rebellion, [music]
14:27 every breath quiet walls. I am the
14:31 rhythm, [music]
14:33 not the dancer, not the song.
14:38 I am the second [music]
14:40 of every moment. Dare to carry on. The
14:46 world may turn in thunder,
14:49 [music] but I I move in grace. The
14:53 rhythm is my compass, my [music]
14:56 stillness, my place.
15:03 >> [music]
15:06 >> Oh,
15:08 [music]
15:09 hey.
15:13 [music] Oh,
15:17 hey.
15:20 [music]
15:25 [music]
15:32 >> [music]
15:33 >> There's music in the turning leaves.
15:37 A hush when daylight bends.
15:41 Even [music] sorrow keeps its tempo and
15:44 longing knows how it ends. Some call it
15:48 fate, [music] some call it time, but I
15:51 call it rhythm. This trembling line, the
15:55 current that guides [music] a lost in
15:57 the free. The rhythm that hunts.
16:01 [music]
16:02 The truth of me.
16:09 [music]
16:09 >> I got it.
16:15 >> All right. That was Kelly Bosch. I when
16:17 I said a little bit of joy, I meant just
16:19 the emotion,
16:21 [laughter] not not joy party.
16:25 Um, that was done using midjourney and
16:27 VO3 um for the for the video. The one
16:31 thing I don't know is I don't know how
16:34 Kelly Bosch is getting the uh the
16:36 dancing to sync to the music. I wonder
16:37 if she's hand editing that. Um,
16:42 techie Becky, that is Kelly Bosch. Yeah,
16:44 that was Kelly Bosch. Can it be done?
16:45 Gravity Jump. I'm late to the party. Is
16:48 this another one of your creations? That
16:50 was not That was just I just saw a Kelly
16:52 Bosch video and it made me happy.
16:55 [music]
16:57 Let's go. Let's go look at a couple of
16:59 her videos. Oh, this one was gorgeous.
17:02 Am I still sharing? No.
17:09 This one's cool. I wanted to see how V3
17:11 would animate the these cool storybook
17:14 midjourney images.
17:16 Really great. I actually love fairy
17:18 tales.
17:26 [music]
17:30 >> How do you mix [music]
17:37 >> [music]
17:41 >> When the wind starts to rise [music]
17:45 and I hear those cries,
17:49 I see the horses [music]
17:50 that fly.
17:53 And in the deep blue sky, [music]
17:57 I think of Peter Pen
18:00 [music]
18:01 and my friend Mar
18:05 cuz I'm flying away
18:09 from the [music] sound of my name.
18:14 I guess that's what you're [singing]
18:18 >> All right. So, let's let's uh
18:22 let's do some things here. Let me do
18:24 this. Let me go
18:27 let me find an image. All right. Let's
18:30 say this one. All right. So, I'm going
18:33 to take a screenshot of this. Whoops.
18:42 All right. So, the question is, how do
18:43 we make one of these here fancy ass
18:45 videos? And I'm going to show I'm going
18:48 to show you how to how to um
18:54 like if you want to be inspired
18:56 directly. [laughter] What is it?
18:59 Good artists borrow, great artists
19:01 steal.
19:03 If we wanted to steal this concept. So
19:07 took a screenshot there. Then I'm going
19:08 to go over to chat jetat
19:11 and I'm going to paste that image in and
19:14 I'm going to say describe
19:16 this. Oops, file did not upload. Paste.
19:22 Uh, I might need to reload this page
19:24 because that's what you got to do
19:25 sometimes. Paste.
19:29 Describe
19:31 this image in detail. So, if you didn't
19:35 know you could do this, chat PT will
19:38 describe [ __ ] in detail for you. Um, on
19:42 on office hours today, um,
19:46 who was it that shared the the
19:48 headstone?
19:50 Was it KKE? Who was it? Anyone?
19:56 Yeah, Khaki. Khaki.
19:59 Um, she found this really intricate
20:01 tombstone. She was doing her family
20:03 tree, found this really intricate
20:04 tombstone, took a picture of it, and it
20:08 not only read the whole tombstone, like
20:11 the whole story, but it like found all
20:14 the historical references for that. The
20:16 image shows a whimsical stop motion
20:18 style scene that appears to be a blend
20:19 of in the foreground. Okay, so
20:24 now write this as a simple image prompt.
20:32 for the same image.
20:37 And by the way, the I'm just showing you
20:40 some things to do like don't go steal
20:44 other people's [ __ ]
20:46 >> [laughter]
20:47 >> So now I'm going to say now make me 20
20:52 prompts
20:55 um of
20:58 similar
21:00 story book
21:02 photos
21:05 with the characters
21:08 coming off the page. Okay,
21:13 so now we're going to get 20 prompts. A
21:16 tiny knight climbs out of an illustrated
21:18 casual book.
21:20 So, so now we got a bunch of prompts.
21:22 Okay, so let's grab one of these
21:24 prompts.
21:26 A pair of enchanted woodland creatures.
21:30 Copy that. Now, we're going to go to mid
21:33 joiny.
21:35 And before we just go make an image,
21:37 we're going to go to the explore tab.
21:40 We borrow inspiration.
21:43 [laughter]
21:44 Wait, AI isn't about stealing other
21:46 people's [ __ ] It is. It is totally
21:48 about that. Okay. Um, but here's what
21:51 we're going to do. We are going to I
21:55 like this this style right here. So, I'm
21:57 going to grab this style reference.
22:01 So, where where we are, the page that
22:03 we're on is on the explore tab on
22:06 MidJourney. There's styles. And then if
22:09 you roll over a style, you can see the
22:10 style reference. And if you click the
22:12 little T or if you click the style
22:14 number, it'll pop it in your prompt box
22:16 in your prompt hole. And then I'm going
22:19 to put in the prompt that chat GPT
22:23 wrote.
22:30 Fun fact, you can only see the SRFs
22:33 if you were logged into a paid account.
22:36 Yeah. Oh. Oh, that's interesting. Oh,
22:39 that's funny. Okay. Well, that kind of
22:41 sucks then, doesn't it? You'll have to
22:42 go find other SRF libraries. Okay. Um,
22:46 so [snorts] let me I'm going to do
22:48 stylization. Yeah, we'll do we'll leave
22:49 stylization high.
22:51 Maybe we'll throw a little weirdness in
22:53 there. I know Kelly Bosch always talks
22:55 about weirdness.
22:56 Okay, so we're gonna go boom. And we're
23:00 gonna make four images from one of those
23:03 prompts. And then I'm just going to go
23:05 grab other prompts from chat. GPT.
23:09 Here's a mischievous gesture.
23:13 Throw the prompt in there. Click on the
23:15 style reference from the other thing.
23:19 Do that. Go back to chat GPT. Now, you
23:22 could also use your own imagination and
23:25 come up with a set of prompts. Come up
23:26 with an idea for a video. So, you can
23:28 either come up with an idea for a video
23:30 first, then go make a song, or you can
23:32 make a song and then come up with an
23:34 idea for a video. Can go either way.
23:37 doesn't really matter because we're in
23:38 the world of AI now. Nothing really
23:40 matters anymore. You just have ideas and
23:42 you can go make that [ __ ]
23:45 [clears throat]
23:46 I'm not very good with words. Well, then
23:48 chat GPT will be. I'm not very good with
23:51 pictures. Well, then you know, get good
23:54 with words. [laughter]
24:01 All right. I think our weirdness is too
24:03 weird. Our stylization's too high. Let's
24:06 Let's lower our weirdness. Let's drop
24:08 our weirdness to zero. Let's drop our
24:10 thing to 200. 150 is good.
24:15 And let's go do some new redo these.
24:24 [singing]
24:28 Here's the gesture. Mischievous gesture.
24:30 There's that bang.
24:33 Here's this thing. There's that. Bang.
24:39 All right. So, now we're getting things
24:40 that are at least in some some
24:42 consistent style. There we go. That's
24:44 the That's the look. That's the look we
24:46 were shooting for. So, let me go grab
24:48 another couple of chat. Jetpack type
24:51 prompts. A ballerina.
24:58 Boom.
25:00 Throw that in there.
25:02 By the way, if you're like, "But Kyle, I
25:04 don't have a chat GPT or Midjourney
25:08 subscription," go to Meta AI and click
25:11 on the create tab. And now you have free
25:15 MidJourney. If you didn't know that, I
25:17 didn't know that until yesterday.
25:20 Boom. Okay.
25:23 So, now we've got some images,
25:28 right? So, let's say we wanted to do a
25:30 cool little fairy tale book. So, here's
25:32 what we're going to do. Let's grab this
25:35 image. I'm going to copy it. I'm going
25:37 to head back over to chat jeet.
25:40 I'm going to share that tab because you
25:42 want to see this. I'm going to paste
25:44 that image in and I'm going to say
25:49 um describe. I'm going to go get more
25:51 than one image. Okay, there's there's
25:53 one image there. Then I'm going to grab
25:58 Let's see. Oh, that's a good one. Copy
26:00 image.
26:11 Oh, that's lovely. Okay, copy image.
26:14 Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
26:17 Beautiful. Fantastic. Bob, tell him what
26:20 he's won. You haven't won anything. This
26:23 is not a game show. Um, okay. So now I'm
26:27 going to say um based on these images
26:31 and particularly
26:35 the style
26:38 what
26:40 kind of music
26:47 um
26:50 what kind of music
26:52 do
26:55 you think would be
26:59 compelling
27:04 to make a music video.
27:08 Give me five discrete styles
27:15 and
27:16 research
27:18 what are the latest trends
27:23 in music
27:25 and make
27:29 sure that the styles
27:34 will resonate
27:36 with today's
27:39 punky youth. [laughter]
27:46 Ah,
27:48 Kelly is like, "If Danny Elfman and Tim
27:50 Tim Burton somehow had a love child."
27:52 Yeah, I know. Kelly's Kelly's look is so
27:54 distinct. It's so good. Neop punk pop
27:58 emo revival. Why it fits?
28:02 All right. Beautiful.
28:07 Okay. So, we've got we've got five five
28:09 music styles. And so so now we're gonna
28:12 say um
28:15 [gasps]
28:16 we like I want the story
28:22 in let's see the story
28:26 in the lyrics
28:31 to be about
28:34 a kids book coming to life.
28:39 But it's an adult song
28:44 as if they are reminiscing
28:48 while doing mushrooms. [laughter]
28:56 Okay, here's a good lesson by the way.
28:58 Um, so someone just said, "How do you
29:00 make a music video?" So we went and we
29:02 we stole an image from Kelly Bosch and
29:05 we had chat to describe it. Then we went
29:08 to midjourney and we picked some style
29:10 that looked really different. So the
29:11 images I made really don't look like
29:13 anything she made. And now we're off
29:15 down some creative rabbit hole, right?
29:18 And so I'm just putting stupid [ __ ] in
29:20 here because why not, right? Perfect.
29:24 It's a killer concept. It sits right in
29:27 the And and by the way, if you're ever
29:29 feeling bad about yourself, just tell
29:31 Chat GPT a creative idea and it will
29:33 tell you that it's the best creative
29:34 idea in the history of humanity. It'll
29:37 make you feel better about yourself. It
29:38 really will. [laughter]
29:43 Okay. The pages breathe is the name of
29:46 the song. Visual mood suggestion m
29:49 musical style and arrangement. Great.
29:52 Beautiful verse. Found my old book from
29:55 a lifetime ago. Still smells like crowns
29:57 and snow. Um, let's go with let's go
30:00 with uh these lyrics uh suck ass and are
30:08 cliche
30:09 and expected.
30:12 Uh perhaps you could write them
30:17 as if you had talent.
30:21 [laughter]
30:23 I actually heard an acting teacher say
30:25 that to an actress once after a scene.
30:28 Yes. Yes. Uh yes. Uh maybe we could try
30:31 that again and this time try it as if
30:36 you had talent. [laughter]
30:43 [laughter]
30:44 Oh my god. The world's words crawl off
30:47 the page like ants drunk on honey,
30:49 spelling my name wrong on purpose. The
30:51 deer in the story smokes a cigarette of
30:54 light and says you turn me anxious. All
30:57 right, I these seem bad. Let's let's say
31:01 uh try one more time
31:05 uh more time as if you are a lyricist.
31:12 Let's see what it does here. Jing.
31:22 All right. There's a sound between pages
31:25 like breath caught mids sentence. I
31:27 touch the ink and it remembers me.
31:29 Spreads like blood in the napkin dream.
31:30 Okay, great. Uh, perfect. Perfect.
31:33 Whatever. Uh, now give me a solid
31:40 muse musical prompt.
31:44 as if I am talking to a what do you call
31:49 it? A music director, a composer, to a
31:52 songwriter.
32:00 I'm curious what you're going to do with
32:03 your song Trouble. I cannot get it out
32:05 of my head. Oh, that's cool. Um, I don't
32:09 know. I that that version of that song
32:13 um
32:17 is I don't know. I don't know. I would
32:21 love to take some of the songs that I've
32:23 done and and put them in get them placed
32:26 in in music, you know, in TV shows and
32:30 stuff like that. I think that I think
32:31 that Before the Lights Come On could get
32:33 placed. I feel like Trouble could get
32:35 placed. To kill you for a dollar is a
32:37 little depressing, but depending on the
32:39 movie, if you got some indie film could
32:41 do it. Um,
32:44 let's see. That's a little That's a lot
32:46 [ __ ] complicated. Uh, let's see.
32:49 Tighten that up to
32:53 a
32:54 two short paragraph
32:57 prompt.
33:00 Uh, uh, uh, Trouble is the best and
33:02 Before the Lights Come on and Weird
33:04 Mary. They're all really good. Yeah.
33:05 Like I feel like I've got some songs now
33:07 that are that are that could could be in
33:10 stuff. You know
33:12 what I mean? We're we're in a weird
33:14 fascinating time right now. Can you
33:17 imagine Well, no. I can actually imagine
33:20 this. I'm not going to ask you to
33:21 imagine it. I can imagine
33:26 putting together a band that is
33:29 effectively a cover band,
33:31 but what you do is you sit around and
33:34 you talk and you generate songs in AI
33:37 and then you learn them as the band and
33:39 then you go cover the songs that you
33:40 made. [laughter]
33:42 Tik Tok pin. Uh, and I'm in the music
33:45 business. Well, Techie Becky, I think
33:48 you need to send me a DM and we can if
33:50 if you think Trouble has got legs. I I
33:54 love that song Trouble. Um,
33:58 and it's [music]
34:05 [music]
34:08 standing between
34:11 [singing and music] you and a hard place
34:13 is insane.
34:17 Standing too near
34:20 you and a fire makes it clear.
34:27 Trouble to me.
34:32 Real trouble. Can't you see?
34:36 Um that's that. And then it turned into
34:38 this cool kind of rock song. And I did
34:40 two versions of it. And one is like this
34:42 really hard rock version and the other
34:44 one is just like a like a a a softer
34:48 version of it, but like hearing them
34:50 fully hearing a simple song like that
34:52 fully blown out is really cool. So
34:54 anyway, um you need to copyright them
34:57 before someone steals them. All right,
35:00 may we hear trouble? Um yeah, let me go.
35:03 We'll we'll come back to this thing that
35:05 we're making.
35:07 Um it's insuno
35:12 Let me go to my library.
35:16 Oh, you know where I probably have them.
35:25 Oh, yeah. Other tab. Um, here's here's
35:29 some of my Broadway musical that I've
35:31 been working on. Oh, I lost connection.
35:33 Hang on. I got to share different
35:43 Can you hear this Brandon on YouTube?
35:49 [music]
35:51 Okay. All right. Uh, library search
35:55 trouble.
35:58 Rubble. Oh, and I probably have it
36:01 downloaded here somewhere. Old. Old,
36:04 please.
36:06 Trouble.
36:10 Ah yeah, here we go. Uh so let me share
36:13 different. That's [ __ ] up there.
36:27 All
36:48 right, here's the You want to hear the
36:50 soft one first or the hard one first?
36:51 Hey, Black Bar Betty. Hey, Black Betty.
36:54 Lambo Jamber. [laughter]
36:56 Okay. So, you heard me just singing the
36:58 the soft version.
37:00 Um, we'll go with the we'll go with the
37:02 soft one first.
37:11 [music]
37:19 Wait, wait.
37:21 Did I just What did I just do?
37:30 I think I might have just thrown
37:31 something in the trash. Hang on.
37:38 No.
37:41 The [ __ ] did I do?
37:53 >> [music]
37:58 >> I think this might be it.
38:01 [music]
38:05 Standing between
38:08 you and a hard place is [singing]
38:10 insane.
38:13 [music]
38:15 engineer.
38:18 You fire makes it clear
38:20 [singing and music]
38:25 to me.
38:33 [music]
38:39 Smell your perfume scared me most.
38:45 Leaning away
38:50 [singing]
38:55 trouble to me. [music]
39:01 Real trouble. You [music] see,
39:09 I feel [singing] the heat. Can you feel
39:11 it, too?
39:14 >> [music]
39:17 >> my heart
39:18 takes me away from where you [singing]
39:21 are.
39:25 You're [music] true to me.
39:31 [music]
39:45 >> [music]
39:46 >> It's time for you
39:49 to say goodbye. I miss you, too.
39:53 [music]
40:02 Real trouble. [singing] Can't you see
40:20 now that you're gone?
40:23 All is supposed to be more fun. [music]
40:29 Now that you've left [singing] home,
40:32 all I feel is this. Ging
40:38 [music] your trouble to me.
40:44 [music]
40:44 Real trouble. Can't you see [singing]
40:51 your trouble? Don't you know?
40:56 [music]
40:57 Oh, trouble. Where did you
41:01 go? [music]
41:05 >> Right. So, that's that one. Now, listen
41:07 to the hard one. So, which one do you
41:08 like better? So, that's the soft one. It
41:10 gets pretty hard, but this is one. This
41:13 is one. When I did this one, I was like,
41:14 that's pretty [ __ ] [music] good, too.
41:17 And whoever asked Sea Slug of Doom, you
41:19 you you asked Damn it. If this was the
41:21 original. No, the original is just a
41:23 simple little acoustic song. I did, but
41:25 I put it on. Is this on Mighty? and the
41:28 lyrics. No, I haven't done [ __ ] with
41:30 this yet. [laughter]
41:32 And the Grammy goes to Kyle Shannon. Um,
41:36 yeah. So, here's the hard one. So, tell
41:38 me if you like this one better. I think
41:39 I like the the soft one, the one we just
41:41 played.
41:43 [music]
41:44 Oh, but that's the other thing.
41:48 So, I met with um this week I met with
41:51 this guy named Sam Nasser who's a
41:53 Broadway um pianist dude like a composer
41:56 and you know music supervisor and things
41:58 like that and I was talking to him about
42:01 Sydney and he was like, "Oh, it's good
42:03 that you're so excited about this and
42:04 blah blah blah and and then I said, "Do
42:07 you want to hear some of the songs?" And
42:08 I started playing some of the songs and
42:11 and he was like listening and you know I
42:13 could see he was listening for them
42:15 musically but at one point I said you
42:17 know like what do you think and like
42:19 have you played with AI and he hadn't
42:22 and he he goes he goes it was another
42:25 one of those moments where he was like I
42:28 I had no idea that AI could do this.
42:32 It's like he said like to get the songs
42:36 for your show to the level that they're
42:38 at is a lot of work. It takes a lot of
42:41 time and a lot of money. And I was like,
42:43 I know, right? [laughter] I think I
42:45 freaked him out a little. Anyway, but
42:47 it's it's just amazing taking a simple
42:49 song idea like like creating songs from
42:52 from scratch from Suno is really cool,
42:54 but even if you do something where you
42:56 just have a really simple song and then
42:58 it builds this full orchestration, it's
43:01 just it's mindblowing. It's really cool.
43:05 [music]
43:22 Standing between [music]
43:25 you and the hard place [singing] is
43:27 insane.
43:31 Standing too near.
43:34 You and the fire makes you
43:40 trouble [music] to me.
43:46 Real trouble. Can't you see?
44:00 [singing]
44:15 real trouble, can't you?
44:27 [music]
44:39 You're trouble. [singing]
44:45 >> Real trouble. Can't you
45:09 You're trouble
45:14 [music] real.
45:21 [music]
45:23 It's time to go.
45:25 [music]
45:26 I got to leave now. Enjoy the show.
45:32 It's time for [singing] you
45:35 [music] to say goodbye. Yeah, I miss
45:37 you, too.
45:40 [singing]
45:41 You're trouble to me.
45:45 [music]
45:47 [singing] Real trouble. Can't you see?
46:13 All right. So, it sounds like YouTube
46:15 YouTube can't hear it. Um, anyway, so
46:18 yeah. So, that's someone goes one can be
46:20 in the movie and then one can be in the
46:22 credit role. But I mean, they're both
46:24 those are both really good productions
46:26 of what's funny is like that's a song
46:30 that I liked, but it's a really simple
46:32 song and it's like I don't really rock
46:34 out on it. And so to hear Sunno take it
46:37 and figure out where to like build it
46:39 and blow it out, it's like it's good. So
46:43 love the first one. There's a version
46:46 yet to be produced by Kyle. Yeah,
46:47 there's Well, there's probably a ton of
46:48 them in there. I tend to take two days
46:50 and then pick my favorite version with
46:52 ADHD. Yeah. I mean, that's that's the
46:55 thing with um
46:58 like like on the musical, my writing
47:01 partner, he's like really meticulous and
47:03 particular about things. I tend to do
47:05 things fast. He tends to do things.
47:08 It'll take them apart, put them back
47:09 together, things like that. So, anyway,
47:13 that's trouble.
47:15 That's trouble.
47:17 Um,
47:19 yeah, I did a I did a bunch of versions.
47:22 Um, let me here I'll share my I'll share
47:25 my screen different there. By the way,
47:28 there's a pseudo contest right now which
47:31 we could also go look at where someone
47:34 someone did what I did. So, they took
47:36 their song. So, like I just made trouble
47:38 into that song. Um, they did that and
47:41 now it's turning into a contest link in
47:42 irregulars. So, if you go to irregulars,
47:44 there's a link to the contest.
47:47 Um,
47:49 let's see.
47:59 [music]
48:04 Standing between
48:07 you and the hard place [music] is
48:09 insane.
48:11 >> That was weird.
48:20 weird.
48:22 Like some of them they just get wrong.
48:24 These are remastered. I think these got
48:25 better after a bit here.
48:33 [clears throat]
48:36 [singing]
48:39 I didn't really do that many of this.
48:52 >> [music]
48:52 >> Standing between
48:55 you and a hard place is insane.
49:00 [music]
49:01 Standing too near.
49:04 >> Anyway, whatever. Um, I'll do something
49:07 with that. Um, Techie Becky, do me a
49:09 favor. DM me and then we'll figure out
49:12 I'll figure out what I need to do to
49:13 protect these and put them up on Spotify
49:16 or something like that. It's just it's
49:18 like everything's so much [ __ ] work.
49:21 [laughter]
49:24 It's like like if you want a career in
49:27 something, you actually have to work. I
49:29 find that exhausting.
49:31 [laughter]
49:36 Uh, [laughter]
49:39 oh, good lordy lordy lord. Another loop
49:42 for you. Yeah, exactly. It is. It's I
49:45 have been I have been warned. Andy and
49:48 Brandon are trying to keep me from
49:49 opening loops. [laughter]
49:53 Uh, speaking of open loops, let's go
49:55 back and finish this. We're going to
49:56 create a new song here. Um, oh, and by
50:00 the way,
50:02 okay, [ __ ]
50:07 what we're about to create is a song
50:09 that is 100% AI generated,
50:15 but it's not.
50:18 And we're about to create lyrics that
50:20 are 100% AI generated, but they're not,
50:24 right?
50:25 And we're and and we created imagery
50:28 that was stolen from Kelly Bosch, but it
50:30 was transformed, so it's not really her
50:33 style at all.
50:35 And we're going to turn that into some
50:37 sort of video sort of thing here. The
50:39 the chain of craft, like all of the
50:42 inputs that we're putting in here, all
50:43 of the sort of creative thinking about
50:45 what what could this song be about? you
50:47 know, someone looking at their
50:49 childhood, you know, books doing shrooms
50:53 at their parents' house in the holidays.
50:55 Like, that's human, right? That's like
50:59 us just jamming and you throwing ideas
51:02 at me and me putting stuff in here.
51:04 That's human. Are your tabs 100% AI
51:06 generated? Oh, yeah. Good.
51:10 [ __ ] smartass. [laughter]
51:12 I'm allergic to work. It makes me break
51:14 out in a sweat. I know. You need to
51:17 apprentice. You need an apprentice,
51:19 Kyle, or an intern. Anybody if anybody
51:23 wants to intern, let me know. I'll just
51:25 I'll just I can feed you enough work. I
51:29 can feed you 80 hours worth of work a
51:31 week [laughter]
51:32 and just gathering up my stupid [ __ ]
51:35 that comes out of this channel in
51:37 particular. [laughter]
51:40 Okay. The paper opens itself as a
51:42 surreal adult reimagining of a child
51:45 story book coming to life. Not innocent
51:47 or wait. Think St. Vincent's me meets
51:51 Nick Cave with a tame Impala shimmer.
51:54 Um, we can't use artists names and I
51:59 don't need the story
52:02 since it's in the lyrics.
52:06 Just write me
52:10 the musical
52:13 direction.
52:21 By the way, while this is doing this,
52:23 next Monday and Tuesday, November 10th
52:25 and 11th,
52:27 if you're a woman in AI, you need to go
52:30 to the Sheile Leads AI Create
52:32 Conference. It's the virtual conference.
52:34 So, if you go to sheleadsai.ai,
52:40 you can sign up for it and you should
52:42 go. You should take the time. You should
52:45 go. This is the virtual version of the
52:47 create conference that happened in Salt
52:49 Lake City two weeks ago put on by Ann
52:51 Murphy and the team at She Leads AI. It
52:54 was a very powerful event from from
52:59 everything I heard. The AI salon
53:01 sponsored it, so we were very proud
53:03 sponsors of it. And so what you have
53:05 coming up is the virtual version of it.
53:07 So put that in your calendar if you have
53:09 it. Okay. Raw hypnotic art punk energy
53:12 with a pulsing mid-tempo groove in D
53:15 major or B minor. Tight live drums, funk
53:18 bass. Okay, cool. Perfect. So there's
53:21 our music. So now we're going to go to
53:24 seeo.
53:28 Now that you're gone, I all is supposed
53:32 to be more fun.
53:37 Your trouble to me.
53:40 All right. Now, we need to get the
53:42 lyrics. And I haven't read the lyrics. I
53:44 assume they're good.
53:47 [laughter]
53:48 I don't know why I should assume that.
53:50 The paper open. The paper opens itself.
53:53 All right. So, here's the lyrics.
53:57 So, we're going to go put those into
54:02 [clears throat]
54:03 and I'm going to put square brackets
54:05 around the things that I don't want sung
54:09 because that tells you that we don't
54:12 want them sung.
54:20 [singing]
54:38 Oh, I did another one. Uh, love struck
54:41 love shot eyes was another one that I
54:43 wrote ages ago that I put into sunno and
54:46 it ca that came out really good, too.
54:48 Um, what is this called? The paper opens
54:51 itself.
54:55 The paper opens itself. Kind of a shitty
54:57 title, but that's okay. We'll go with
54:58 it. We're leaning into AI here. We're
55:01 just We're just sucking it up. The paper
55:04 opens itself.
55:08 Advanced options. What do we want here?
55:10 Do we I don't really care if this is a
55:12 man or a woman.
55:15 Um, weirdness. Let's move that high.
55:20 All right, here we go. All right, we're
55:23 going to make song here, people.
55:26 Um,
55:28 parentheses can direct how that verse is
55:30 sung. Okay, cool. Round parenthesis can
55:34 do it. Gareth,
55:36 can you play my song?
55:39 Yeah. Where is it?
55:44 Oh, by the way, if you go Ann Murphy, I
55:48 love Ann Murphy. If you if you go if you
55:52 go to the create conference Monday and
55:54 Tuesday, there is a deluxe replay
55:57 bundle,
55:59 which she then qualifies by saying,
56:01 "Don't ask me any details, [laughter]
56:04 but you will get the deluxe bundle." And
56:07 here's what I know about Ann. She will
56:09 underpromise and overd deliver on it
56:11 every single time. So, so she will make
56:15 it a deluxe bundle. She wouldn't call it
56:17 deluxe if if she weren't planning on
56:19 overd delivering. I just know how she
56:21 rolls at this point. [laughter]
56:26 Okay, Gareth just put something in uh AI
56:30 salon. All right, let's see if this
56:33 Okay, hang on. So going back to look at
56:36 our images.
56:41 So we're going to imagine that these
56:43 images
56:45 are animated because we're going to come
56:46 back and animate them. By the way,
56:51 these are cool, right?
56:54 And this definitely does not look like a
56:56 Kelly Bosch video, right? So you can go
56:58 from, hey, that inspired me to something
57:02 in a completely different neighborhood,
57:05 right? Okay. So that's that's that's our
57:07 visual what we're trying to write a song
57:09 for. So let's see if we got anything.
57:14 [music]
57:23 [music]
57:29 >> [music]
57:30 >> There's a sound between pages
57:35 [music]
57:37 like a breath caught mid sentence.
57:40 [music]
57:43 All right. That's okay.
57:50 [music]
57:53 Yeah. Yeah, it sounds like psychedelic
57:54 furs, right? Yeah, this is definitely
57:57 Nick Cave, psychedelic furs, that era,
57:59 right?
58:04 [music]
58:13 All right, I'm not crazy about they're
58:15 not bad. They could be okay, but hang
58:17 on. Let's go. This gave us some cool
58:21 concepts.
58:24 genre.
58:30 Hyper color. Riot.
58:42 Okay, let me do something here.
58:49 Share this tab instead. Hang on.
58:53 Okay. Um,
58:56 give me five new prompts
59:02 based on these ideas you came
59:07 up with earlier.
59:13 [clears throat]
59:16 Incan static neopunk dreamcore. Fast
59:19 hook driven punk wrapped in dreamy
59:21 distortion. Bright guitars. All right.
59:24 Let's just Here's what we're going to
59:25 do. We're just going to copy these and
59:27 go blast them into suno.
59:32 All right. So, we'll do
59:34 and we'll do bang. And then we're going
59:36 to go back to here and I'm going to grab
59:39 another one.
59:41 Copy. Come back to grab all this. Go
59:45 bang. Go create.
59:48 This is um
59:51 this is irresponsible creative
59:53 production.
59:55 [laughter]
59:58 This is nonintentional. This is I listen
1:00:01 I am being intentionally
1:00:03 non-intentional.
1:00:05 Got a lot of intention here to not be
1:00:07 intentional. Do you understand how meta
1:00:09 that is? Do you understand on on what a
1:00:12 different level we're operating on this
1:00:14 channel? Hang on. I got to fill out a p
1:00:17 p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p
1:00:17 p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p p
1:00:17 puzzle piece on Tik Tok or I get kicked
1:00:19 off. Um th this is this is remarkably
1:00:23 deep
1:00:25 creative self-expression.
1:00:29 [laughter]
1:00:31 But you know what we're going to come up
1:00:32 with? We're going to come up with a cool
1:00:34 [ __ ] song and then everyone's going
1:00:36 to be like, I remember when we did that.
1:00:37 It was just stupid for a while and then
1:00:40 all of a sudden it wasn't. It was really
1:00:41 fantastic.
1:00:43 All right,
1:00:50 Chef Kelly in the house. Are we still
1:00:54 aiming to sync up beats with movement?
1:00:56 No. What? No. [laughter]
1:00:59 No. Because
1:01:02 uh side hustle, I don't know how to do
1:01:04 that. I was musing out loud. I wonder
1:01:08 how Kelly Bosch did that. I have an idea
1:01:10 or two of how she did it, but for me to
1:01:12 actually figure it out would be boring,
1:01:14 so so I'm not going to figure it out
1:01:16 here. Um, I assume that what she did was
1:01:19 she got them dancing and then she either
1:01:20 sped up or slowed them down in the video
1:01:22 editor to match the beat, but maybe she
1:01:25 used a tool that matched it to the beat.
1:01:27 I do not know. All right, so let's go.
1:01:30 We're going to go hear our different uh
1:01:32 versions. Here's punk.
1:01:37 Like a breath mids sentence.
1:01:40 I touch the ink and it remembers [music]
1:01:42 me. Spreads like blood in a napkin
1:01:45 dream.
1:01:46 >> Oh, Da Vinci Resolve will mark the tempo
1:01:49 of the music for you. There you go.
1:01:51 She's been working on dancing her people
1:01:52 images for a while. Yeah, I know. I just
1:01:54 I just didn't know how she matched it to
1:01:56 the to the beat because she's had people
1:01:58 dance for years, but they're often doing
1:02:00 just sort of swayy kind of dances. that
1:02:04 video that we looked at, it was
1:02:05 definitely to the beat. Now that's the
1:02:08 undertones. That's interesting. Um,
1:02:13 slow motion.
1:02:15 [music]
1:02:21 [music]
1:02:25 >> All right.
1:02:27 [music]
1:02:31 >> That's weird. the sound between pages.
1:02:36 >> What is it about me? I just like sad
1:02:38 [ __ ] songs. It goes minor key and
1:02:40 someone with a whiny voice and I'm like,
1:02:43 uh, it's beautiful. It's uplifting. That
1:02:46 thing that depresses everyone else, it
1:02:49 brings joy to my life.
1:02:52 [music]
1:02:55 Like a breath caught mids sentence.
1:02:58 [music]
1:03:01 I touch the ink [singing] and it
1:03:04 remembers me. [music]
1:03:09 Spreads like blood in a napkin [music]
1:03:11 dream.
1:03:14 >> Like that one. That's getting a thumbs
1:03:15 up.
1:03:18 There's a sound between pages [music]
1:03:21 like a bread caught mids sentence. I
1:03:25 touch the ink and it remembers me.
1:03:29 Spreads like [singing] blood in a napkin
1:03:32 dream. The squirrel blinks [music]
1:03:34 in slow motion stitched from yellow
1:03:38 thread and st went weird. There's a
1:03:41 sound between pages [music]
1:03:44 like a breath.
1:03:48 Close.
1:03:49 >> There's a sound between pages
1:03:52 like a breath [music] coid sentence.
1:03:54 [singing]
1:03:57 I touch the ink and it remembers me.
1:04:02 [music]
1:04:03 Spreads like blood.
1:04:07 I have [music and singing] children
1:04:09 dreams
1:04:15 [music]
1:04:21 [music]
1:04:24 in slow motion.
1:04:28 >> That's [ __ ] cool. But I'm static.
1:04:32 [music] He says you believe in
1:04:35 everything. I say I still do.
1:04:41 >> All right. There's that. We got two
1:04:43 more.
1:04:50 >> [music]
1:04:57 >> There's a sound [music]
1:04:58 between pages. [singing]
1:05:00 >> This sounds more like the [ __ ] I like.
1:05:04 >> There's a sound between pages
1:05:08 like a [music] breath.
1:05:12 I touch the ink and [singing] it
1:05:14 remembers me. [music]
1:05:18 Spreads like blood
1:05:21 in a napkin [singing]
1:05:24 dream. [music]
1:05:29 >> Oh, that's something we listen to
1:05:30 before. All right. So, that's it. All
1:05:32 right. Um,
1:05:37 [music]
1:05:40 >> I think it's this one. All right. We're
1:05:41 going to go with this one. Fine.
1:05:44 [snorts]
1:05:51 All right, we're going to download the
1:05:52 MP3. So, now we got a song. So, now
1:05:55 let's go back to Midnight.
1:05:58 And then here's what we're going to do.
1:06:00 We're just going to go um
1:06:05 high motion animate. Uh Tik Tok angle
1:06:08 check.
1:06:09 It seems good.
1:06:14 How's that? Good. All right. Um
1:06:19 All right. So, that's making a video.
1:06:23 Do we like that image? No. No. That
1:06:25 image I like. We'll do We'll do high
1:06:27 motion on all these. High motion. High
1:06:31 motion. High motion. High motion. High
1:06:34 motion.
1:06:38 High motion.
1:06:41 High motion.
1:06:43 That's 11.
1:06:45 We'll do that one.
1:06:49 Oh, Da Vinci Resolve just added tempo.
1:06:51 Oh, interesting.
1:06:56 We'll do that one.
1:06:58 All right. So, what I'm doing right now
1:07:00 in the lower right hand corner in
1:07:02 Midjourney, you got your midjourney
1:07:03 image here. Down here, you have these
1:07:05 animate buttons. You can also do this in
1:07:07 Meta AI for free. Even if you don't have
1:07:10 a midjourney account, you have to have a
1:07:13 Meta account. So, you get [ __ ] for free,
1:07:15 but they're going to sell your data to
1:07:19 to
1:07:21 Fidelity Insurance, [laughter]
1:07:25 but they already are, so it doesn't
1:07:28 really matter because you already gave
1:07:30 that away 20 years ago, you dumb dumbs.
1:07:33 Okay, let's go back out to create and
1:07:36 see how our videos are coming.
1:07:40 Do we have video yet? Let's see.
1:07:45 Yes.
1:07:46 Okay. So, you see this people?
1:07:51 Let's go.
1:07:55 Why is this not playing? There we go.
1:08:05 That one's cool.
1:08:07 All right. So, we're going to download
1:08:08 that one.
1:08:11 Download.
1:08:20 Cool. Right. Cool.
1:08:41 I don't know which one of these I like.
1:08:43 I think I like this one.
1:08:46 No.
1:08:53 Right. That one download.
1:08:59 Lovely. Right. download.
1:09:06 And if you're wondering like what I'm
1:09:08 doing,
1:09:11 I'm I'm This is what I would call vibe
1:09:14 creating. Like I don't really give a
1:09:15 [ __ ] I'm just like whichever one kind
1:09:18 of feels right to me.
1:09:20 I'm just downloading it. And then we're
1:09:22 going to stitch those together.
1:09:36 All right, that one's fine.
1:09:45 And I there are no prompts for these,
1:09:47 right? These are just I made images
1:09:51 out of a description of a Kelly Bosch
1:09:53 video with a midjourney style.
1:09:56 And then I just hit animate.
1:10:13 Nice.
1:10:17 A birdie with a gear. Looks like he's
1:10:20 being attacked. [laughter]
1:10:26 It's kind of cool.
1:10:32 All right. So, it's one of the first
1:10:33 two. I think it's the second one.
1:10:41 All right.
1:11:02 Think
1:11:09 we'll go with that one.
1:11:12 [clears throat]
1:11:15 The little gest of running.
1:11:22 That was kind of cool.
1:11:25 Had some weird [ __ ] behind it. Nice.
1:11:39 That one's great.
1:11:45 [clears throat]
1:11:50 [singing]
1:11:55 The fox buddy.
1:11:59 Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh. That was cute.
1:12:05 That's cute with them looking at the
1:12:07 camera. We'll go with that one.
1:12:09 [laughter]
1:12:10 All right, we're done. That's all we
1:12:11 made. So that's all we're going to get.
1:12:13 So this is going to be about a 30 second
1:12:15 video, right? Because I only downloaded
1:12:17 like six clips. All right,
1:12:19 [clears throat] so
1:12:21 here's what we're going to do. Let's
1:12:24 see. Let's see.
1:12:26 We're going to do this really but
1:12:28 simple. So, let me go let me go stop
1:12:31 this. Stop. Share my entire screen
1:12:40 and then we're going to go
1:12:42 here.
1:12:46 Okay. So, here's our videos, right?
1:12:53 down.
1:12:56 Okay. So, let me open Where do we want
1:12:59 to start? Where What's Didn't one of
1:13:01 them have like a book?
1:13:04 Is it this one?
1:13:08 Yeah.
1:13:10 All right. So, let's start with that
1:13:11 one. So, here's what I'm going to do.
1:13:14 This is going to be dumb. This is dumb,
1:13:17 but like But this is how you do it,
1:13:19 right? This is essentially what Kelly
1:13:22 Bosch when she spoke at the salon two
1:13:24 years ago.
1:13:26 She said she would go into was stable
1:13:28 diffusion at the time. She would make
1:13:29 images. She would go to some video tool,
1:13:32 make video clips, download a [ __ ] ton of
1:13:35 them,
1:13:37 dump them all into a timeline, just dump
1:13:39 them onto the timeline, and then
1:13:41 rearrange them and delete [ __ ]
1:13:43 [laughter] and then put a song behind
1:13:44 it. So that's what we're going to do.
1:13:46 We're going to do Kelly Bosch's old
1:13:47 style. [laughter]
1:13:49 All right. So, you can all see that,
1:13:51 right?
1:13:53 Okay.
1:13:55 And if I hit play, there we go. We're
1:13:57 doing that. So, now what I'm going to do
1:13:59 is I'm just going to go edit, add clip
1:14:01 to end.
1:14:05 Uhoh. What happened? Oh, did it quit?
1:14:07 God. [laughter]
1:14:10 Listen, those of you saying I've got too
1:14:12 many tabs open and I should probably
1:14:14 restart my machine once in a while,
1:14:16 you're not wrong. [laughter]
1:14:21 But but god damn it, it just max used to
1:14:24 work. Okay, they really did. I promise.
1:14:30 Okay, let's see. We're going to end with
1:14:32 that one.
1:14:35 So, let's do that's a pirate running the
1:14:39 same way.
1:14:41 Let's do let's do the ballerina. So,
1:14:43 we'll choose media and then we're going
1:14:46 to go add clip to end.
1:14:55 We'll do we'll do this birdie.
1:14:58 Choose media
1:15:03 and then we'll do add clip to end.
1:15:18 We'll do this dude.
1:15:22 Then we'll do add clip to end.
1:15:25 We'll go back to ballerinas. I don't did
1:15:27 I use her? I don't know which one I
1:15:29 used.
1:15:32 I could go look. [laughter]
1:15:39 [laughter]
1:15:42 Oops.
1:15:47 Okay, it's that one. All right.
1:15:52 Add clip after selection.
1:16:00 >> [clears throat]
1:16:02 >> That's the one we had. So, we'll do her
1:16:04 now.
1:16:06 Then we'll do add clip. After selection,
1:16:10 we'll go get this guy.
1:16:17 We'll do head clip after selection.
1:16:19 We'll go get another birdie.
1:16:22 that birdie
1:16:25 and then we'll just be done just because
1:16:26 this is boring.
1:16:29 Add clip after section. So, one of the
1:16:31 reasons I started Story Vine is video
1:16:35 editing is [ __ ] exhausting. Joy
1:16:36 Pretty loves it. She likes the TDM of
1:16:40 it. It makes me want to jump through a
1:16:42 window. [laughter]
1:16:43 Okay, so now we have a 42 second clip.
1:16:52 And I just have hard cuts between them.
1:16:56 This is full-on lazy editing. Full-on
1:16:59 lazy editing. All right. So
1:17:02 [clears throat] then what we're going to
1:17:03 do, it's going to get really good. I'm
1:17:05 going to go find our little MP3.
1:17:10 [singing]
1:17:11 [music]
1:17:11 >> No, that's too slow. We need the faster
1:17:14 song. Okay. Hold, please.
1:17:21 Okay, that's the one. There's a sound
1:17:24 between pages.
1:17:28 Black ball. Hey, blackam.
1:17:37 All right, let's go back over here. Now,
1:17:40 we've got this. We've got to go here. We
1:17:42 got that. We got to go here. We got
1:17:44 that. We drag the MP3 onto
1:17:48 our thing and then we say done. And then
1:17:52 we go back and watch. Here's how we made
1:17:55 a music video, kids.
1:17:59 [music]
1:18:06 Touch the
1:18:13 bloody
1:18:18 dream,
1:18:22 >> right? And that drop, you should
1:18:23 probably at some point fix that drop,
1:18:26 right? So, you pull this into a real
1:18:29 editor. You'd find your key points or
1:18:30 your music and you do an edit right at
1:18:33 that.
1:18:34 Right. This feels like an anime opening.
1:18:38 So anyway, so we're done. I can hit
1:18:40 save. [laughter]
1:18:46 And then maybe I'll I'll upload this
1:18:48 here. Wait, let me save this. Save. Why
1:18:50 is it not saving? Close.
1:18:53 Um, we'll call this sad movie.
1:18:56 [laughter]
1:19:02 And so I'll upload Sad Movie to the um
1:19:05 to the Irregulars channel because you're
1:19:07 the only ones that would appreciate it.
1:19:10 Although here's here's Corey Sandler's
1:19:13 uh song from last week.
1:19:18 It's not playing.
1:19:24 Exhausting. It's exhausting this
1:19:26 technology.
1:19:29 It's a
1:19:32 Okay, you can see that. Yes. All right,
1:19:35 we're going to close that. We're going
1:19:37 to click out of here.
1:19:40 We're going to go reload.
1:19:44 AI learning lab. Share cool things.
1:19:48 Upload.
1:19:49 No, that's photos. I need a video.
1:19:52 Upload a video.
1:19:55 Desktop.
1:19:57 No. Did it Did it not save my little
1:19:59 movie?
1:20:04 Where's sad movie?
1:20:08 I might have saved it to the wrong
1:20:10 desktop. Hang on.
1:20:12 Sad movie.
1:20:15 There it is. Sad movie.
1:20:19 Story mine desktop. All right.
1:20:22 Go here. Come here.
1:20:36 Sad movie. There we go.
1:20:42 [music]
1:20:47 >> All right.
1:20:49 I literally have listened to nothing
1:20:52 listened to nothing but my own music
1:20:53 since Sunno came out.
1:20:56 Yeah. Anyone hear the last dinner party?
1:20:59 They're newish.
1:21:03 Oh, did that fail? That upload failed.
1:21:06 Dang it.
1:21:08 Or it's too big. It's probably too big.
1:21:16 >> [laughter]
1:21:18 >> Let's go. Let's go try to upload it on X
1:21:20 and watch me really lose my [ __ ]
1:21:22 [laughter]
1:21:31 Um,
1:21:33 [gasps]
1:21:34 this is what happens
1:21:37 when you have no idea
1:21:42 and no idea what you are doing.
1:21:46 [laughter]
1:21:52 We'll see if it uploads. It's not going
1:21:53 to upload either.
1:21:55 >> [laughter]
1:21:58 >> Oh my god, I have to wait until my
1:22:00 husband leaves the house so I can play
1:22:02 stuff on repeat. [laughter]
1:22:07 Some of your media failed to upload.
1:22:10 Error code minus one. http01
1:22:14 9871242.
1:22:28 Dear Elon, get your [ __ ] together.
1:22:39 An art student looked at me.
1:22:42 It said the same type of thing.
1:22:53 No, it's not uploading. So, I don't
1:22:55 know. All right.
1:22:57 None of you get to enjoy my shitty
1:22:59 movie. [laughter]
1:23:01 But does that answer whoever's question?
1:23:03 Whoever asked the question about how do
1:23:05 you make a movie with Sunno? [laughter]
1:23:08 Hour and a half later, there's a a [ __ ]
1:23:11 a shitty movie with a shitty
1:23:13 explanation. Welcome to the AI learning
1:23:16 lab.
1:23:17 >> [laughter]
1:23:20 >> where my ignorance is your education.
1:23:23 [laughter]
1:23:27 Our motto, imagine if you'd paid for
1:23:30 this. [laughter]
1:23:33 Free Beat AI is doing myo song. So,
1:23:36 Gareth, I just um I reached out or no,
1:23:39 they reached out to me, Freebead AI, and
1:23:42 put me in as a uh
1:23:45 as a creative partner. So, um you're two
1:23:50 minutes away. So, I will uh I I'll use
1:23:53 free pick because yeah, it makes a it
1:23:54 makes a video for you for for your song,
1:23:58 which is kind of cool.
1:24:01 Um, one thing that I do want to play
1:24:03 with, um, one thing that I want to play
1:24:06 with, Korea just came out with nodes.
1:24:09 There's there's six or seven,
1:24:12 um, mult multiple model companies. One,
1:24:17 you know, those sites that have lots of
1:24:18 different models on them, a lot of them
1:24:20 are adding this nodesbased editing thing
1:24:23 where you can sort of visually connect
1:24:24 models together and create workflows.
1:24:27 Um, Korea just did that. They just
1:24:29 launched one Um, that feels like
1:24:32 something we we might want to learn in
1:24:34 here. It feels like something worth
1:24:35 learning because it just keeps showing
1:24:37 up.
1:24:39 Um,
1:24:44 Corey Sandler, I added a Wii video in a
1:24:48 regulars using Sora 2 and Tik Tok to
1:24:50 create combined. Cool. Very
1:24:52 [clears throat] nice. Um,
1:24:56 okay. I'm going to get out of here. Um,
1:25:02 Festivus,
1:25:04 Festivus, December 26th and 27th,
1:25:08 Friday, Saturday,
1:25:10 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pacific, noon to
1:25:13 midnight Eastern, Friday and Saturday,
1:25:16 between the holidays and New Year
1:25:22 is AI Festivus. AI for the rest of us.
1:25:25 We're gonna have, I don't know, 30, 35
1:25:28 speakers, over 24 sessions,
1:25:32 over two action-packed days. Ann Murphy
1:25:35 and I will be hosting. So, this is a
1:25:38 joint production of the AI salon and she
1:25:40 leads AI and it's going to be kickass.
1:25:42 And I didn't I I just remembered that.
1:25:44 No, Ann just told me this because it it
1:25:46 didn't even register to me.
1:25:50 Best of us last year kicked off She
1:25:53 Leads the the birth of She Leads AI. So
1:25:57 she launched She Leads AI right after
1:25:59 Festivus. So So Festivus was the
1:26:01 kickoff.
1:26:02 So that organization's only a year old
1:26:05 and they're they're doing amazing
1:26:07 things. All right. So
1:26:10 So that's coming. So write that down in
1:26:12 your little calendars. You got a
1:26:13 Phileofax. Are you are you old organized
1:26:17 people with filifaxes
1:26:19 that you still order your
1:26:22 refill sheets once a year? [laughter]
1:26:28 Please mention Brent Peterson's LOL on
1:26:31 11:15 MCPS in NAM. Okay, here's a deal.
1:26:38 So on the AI salon, we have these things
1:26:40 called LOL's, learn out louds, that that
1:26:42 Vicky Baptist manages. If you want to
1:26:45 teach one, reach out to her.
1:26:48 But Brent Peterson is doing an LOL. My
1:26:52 guess is he'll probably do it for more
1:26:54 than an hour is my guess. Um,
1:26:58 the dude is wicked smart and he's
1:27:00 teaching people how to build NADN
1:27:02 automations with MCP servers, which if
1:27:05 you don't know what they are, it doesn't
1:27:07 really matter, but you can basically
1:27:09 make your claude or chat GPT talk to
1:27:13 applications that are out on the web.
1:27:16 So, like it can go out and do stuff at a
1:27:18 website and bring it back and process it
1:27:20 right there in front of you, right in
1:27:21 your chat. It's amazing. Brent Peterson
1:27:25 has been building crazy ass autonomous
1:27:29 agent systems for like the past two
1:27:31 years. The guy knows his stuff. You do
1:27:34 not want to miss that one. So, it's
1:27:37 uh November 5if or Yeah, November 15th,
1:27:40 which is probably a Saturday, right,
1:27:42 Vicki? Tik Tok pin.
1:27:45 We must have been a bad date. So short.
1:27:48 [laughter] No, you're good. I'm just
1:27:50 tired. It was a long week. I I have a
1:27:52 lot lot going on this week, so I'm just
1:27:54 a little crispy.
1:27:56 Um,
1:27:58 should I do one on Vibe Code with Wind
1:28:00 Surf? Yes, absolutely. Um, that would be
1:28:02 great, Naomi. Um, anyone listen, here's
1:28:05 the deal. Any of you come to this show
1:28:10 regularly,
1:28:11 I guarantee you, you've got knowledge
1:28:13 that most people in the planet don't
1:28:15 have. So, if you want to practice sort
1:28:18 of getting your chops up and putting
1:28:20 yourself out there and giving back to
1:28:22 the community, reach out to Vicki and
1:28:26 and and schedule an an LOL. All right?
1:28:29 Because it's just it's good for you.
1:28:32 It's good for anyone that participates.
1:28:34 It's good for the community overall. Um,
1:28:36 so do that. That would be great. That
1:28:38 would be awesome. So, yes, I I strongly
1:28:41 encourage that. Looks like Mr. K's in
1:28:43 the house. What's happening, Mr. K?
1:28:45 Um, weekend homework.
1:28:51 This week was a lot about
1:28:53 intentionality.
1:28:58 It's funny that we capped off the week
1:29:01 with with about as non-intentional a
1:29:04 creative act as you can have. Sometimes
1:29:07 it's just play, right? There wasn't a
1:29:10 lot of intention there other than to
1:29:12 maybe entertain.
1:29:18 So I would say homework this weekend is
1:29:21 is continue to to think about
1:29:26 who you are,
1:29:29 what you want to do in the world, what
1:29:30 makes you happy, what are your values,
1:29:37 who do you want to make a difference
1:29:39 for? Is it a small group? Is it a big
1:29:42 group? Is it someone at work? Is it
1:29:44 someone in your community? Is it your
1:29:46 family?
1:29:52 So, I think that's one of them. And
1:29:54 then, yeah, there's there's a a contest
1:29:56 at Sunno. It might be fun to do a
1:29:58 contest if you haven't played with
1:29:59 Sunno. What might be fun is especially
1:30:02 if you're not musical,
1:30:05 go into Sunno
1:30:07 and record yourself. Okay, let me
1:30:12 Tik Tok question.
1:30:14 The intentionality was hard for me.
1:30:18 I feel like I need to summarize the
1:30:20 questions
1:30:22 and go through them.
1:30:26 Summarize which questions?
1:30:31 I don't quite know what you mean there.
1:30:33 Intentionality is hard, especially if
1:30:36 you haven't done it. If if if you work
1:30:39 at a place where you've never had to
1:30:41 really bring your opinion to work, if
1:30:43 you just get told what to do and you do
1:30:45 it and that's absolutely fine.
1:30:47 Intentionality is a weird one. Just
1:30:50 taking time to to to ask the question,
1:30:52 what do I want? Is not easy. But it
1:30:56 doesn't have to be it it doesn't have to
1:30:57 be, you know, you make this choice and
1:31:01 you're never going to do anything else
1:31:02 with your life. You can have
1:31:03 intentionality about very small things.
1:31:05 You could say like here's an
1:31:07 intentionality you could do. There's
1:31:08 this pseudo contest, right? So you could
1:31:11 have intentionality where you're going
1:31:13 to create at least 10 songs for that
1:31:16 contest and then you're going to pick
1:31:18 the the one you like best and you're
1:31:20 going to do three iterations of it,
1:31:22 right? Like intentionality doesn't have
1:31:25 to be this massive life-changing thing.
1:31:27 It can really just be to have a clear
1:31:29 intention and know what you want. Um,
1:31:31 but even doing that gets you in the
1:31:33 habit of starting to think about what
1:31:35 you want. But [clears throat] here's
1:31:37 something that you can do, especially if
1:31:39 you're non-m musical.
1:31:42 I want you to go into suno
1:31:45 and teach how to do this. So you can you
1:31:48 can make a song out of anything.
1:31:54 All right.
1:31:56 So we're going to clear everything out
1:31:58 here. I'm going to go audio
1:32:02 uh record.
1:32:04 Okay. So, I'm gonna record something
1:32:07 and I'm going to do this purposely bad
1:32:09 partially because that's my level of
1:32:12 talent [laughter]
1:32:14 and partially because I just want to
1:32:16 show you what this can do. So, I'll go
1:32:28 Oh. Oh, wait.
1:32:31 [clears throat and laughter]
1:32:34 This is so embarrassing. This is good.
1:32:36 This is good. Be willing to embarrass
1:32:38 yourself. That's the lesson. The lesson
1:32:40 tonight. Okay.
1:32:44 Oh, the ocean is vast. The ocean is
1:32:48 wide. I love the ocean down by my side.
1:32:52 I don't know what I'm singing. I don't
1:32:54 know what to say.
1:32:57 But the ocean is here and it's never
1:33:00 going away.
1:33:03 Okay, perfect. So, even if you can't
1:33:06 sing,
1:33:07 you can do better than what I just did.
1:33:10 But we're going to save that. We're
1:33:11 going to do a cover of this.
1:33:15 [clears throat] This is going to be so
1:33:16 embarrassing. This is good. Oh, please
1:33:19 tell me it's going to crash on uploading
1:33:21 my clip. No, it didn't. Damn it.
1:33:24 [laughter]
1:33:25 So, we're gonna have it write the
1:33:26 lyrics, write the full song. Uh,
1:33:31 vast ocean
1:33:33 is the is the is the prompt. Vast ocean.
1:33:37 So, shitty singing, shitty prompt. Write
1:33:39 lyrics. It's going to write us two sets
1:33:42 of lyrics. Sea shanty. No, I'm gonna go
1:33:44 I'm gonna go anti-sea shanty because I
1:33:46 kind of sang a shanty like uh wait,
1:33:51 where are you from? What do you know?
1:33:54 You're drowning and you're all alone.
1:33:55 Oceans come in many shapes and sizes
1:33:59 ways. Okay, we'll select this option.
1:34:00 That was horrible. Okay, so now we're
1:34:03 going to go to style
1:34:05 styles. And I'm just going to go um
1:34:08 let's see. Vocal effects, ethereal
1:34:11 vocals, pop country,
1:34:16 uh
1:34:18 canour
1:34:20 and epic power metal. [laughter]
1:34:25 You don't think my audio is up there? I
1:34:28 think it is. I think it is. Well, we'll
1:34:31 create these and then we'll see. Before
1:34:33 you go, quick question. Where should I
1:34:35 go for a jingle like reminiscent of a
1:34:38 radio station call under 10 seconds? Um,
1:34:41 I would say try uh producer.ai.
1:34:46 There there might be other things that
1:34:48 just do jingles.
1:34:50 I created the department of idea over
1:34:53 population control [laughter]
1:34:55 link irregulars.
1:34:57 I think the embar embarrassing part is
1:35:00 already passed. Shut up. Shut up.
1:35:03 [laughter]
1:35:04 Okay, let's go back and listen to my
1:35:06 original recording.
1:35:09 >> Oh, the vast is [laughter]
1:35:17 Well, let's listen to what Sununo turned
1:35:19 that into
1:35:28 [music]
1:35:35 >> [music]
1:35:42 [music]
1:35:50 [music]
1:35:51 >> Where you from?
1:35:56 >> Yeah. Crap.
1:35:59 I do.
1:36:10 You see how talented I am? You know, you
1:36:12 think you're over there judging me.
1:36:14 Well, he's not very talented. Listen to
1:36:16 what I made. [music]
1:36:21 [screaming]
1:36:26 >> [music]
1:36:32 [music]
1:36:44 [music]
1:36:51 >> Where you from? What do [music] you
1:36:53 know?
1:36:56 You're drowning and [singing] you're all
1:36:58 alone.
1:37:01 Do you love the ocean or is it [music]
1:37:05 too cold? Did you like the way [singing]
1:37:08 that he broke you down slow? [music]
1:37:14 >> I wish you could just call me home.
1:37:17 [music]
1:37:20 And I'll [singing]
1:37:21 keep calling till you pick up the phone.
1:37:27 [music]
1:37:29 >> So whatever you can make you can just
1:37:32 make [ __ ] now. So there's your there's
1:37:36 your homework assignment for the
1:37:37 weekend. Take a thing that you're
1:37:39 embarrassingly bad at and then have AI
1:37:43 do something with it. There's some
1:37:44 homework. All right.
1:37:48 Ah, can I show the contest link in
1:37:50 irregulars? Yes, I can. Uh, got to find
1:37:55 my tab.
1:37:57 Oh, I'm sleepy. I'm sleepy. Children's.
1:38:03 Okay, so in irregulars, I got to share
1:38:06 this tab. In irrgandler.
1:38:11 You can find her picture. And then
1:38:14 right below Corey Sandler's Eloise.
1:38:17 Wait. Oh, this is Margaret. Right below
1:38:19 Margaret
1:38:21 is the new Sunno remix
1:38:24 contest. So, if you want to do something
1:38:27 fun, go remix
1:38:31 this lovely ladies uh song. You got four
1:38:35 days to do it.
1:38:39 Do we get to play it? Oh, yeah.
1:38:48 I thought I did share the tab.
1:38:58 [music]
1:39:02 >> Wait, Source Camp, I'm so using this as
1:39:04 part of my workshops. What? You're
1:39:06 You're going to play them my crappy
1:39:07 recording and show them what it turned
1:39:09 into? [laughter]
1:39:13 Actually, you know what? Getting someone
1:39:15 up to do like to sing something
1:39:16 ridiculously bad would would be kind of
1:39:19 cool. She made this using sunoyx [music]
1:39:31 and chasing girls. [music]
1:39:37 You run on every girl.
1:39:40 [music]
1:39:49 >> All right, let's let's
1:39:51 I can't leave. [laughter]
1:39:53 All right, let's go. Let's go do a cover
1:39:55 of this. Uh, we're going to do um
1:39:58 oporadic
1:40:01 um
1:40:05 Broadway
1:40:08 punk rock [laughter]
1:40:12 rock hip hop
1:40:15 um
1:40:18 jam.
1:40:20 [laughter]
1:40:24 Let's see what we get. Let's see what we
1:40:26 get.
1:40:28 [clears throat]
1:40:34 Oh, free pick is cool or free whatever
1:40:36 it is is cool, but it doesn't sink the
1:40:38 mouths to the song. Yeah, that's a
1:40:40 problem. I mean, quite honestly, like
1:40:43 what I'm waiting for is mid next year or
1:40:46 end of next year where you can just ask
1:40:48 for [ __ ] and it just makes it. Like
1:40:50 right now, you still got to work. I'm
1:40:52 I'm done with that.
1:41:02 >> [music]
1:41:03 >> No.
1:41:07 All right, we got to do some advanced
1:41:08 [ __ ] here. So, look in advanced options.
1:41:11 We're going to go higher on the style
1:41:14 influence, lower on the audio influence,
1:41:17 and we're going to up the weirdness.
1:41:20 Now, we're going to get something
1:41:21 hopefully good.
1:41:30 >> [sighs]
1:41:33 >> Oh, come hither thy ye
1:41:37 [music]
1:41:43 [music]
1:41:51 [music] never
1:42:00 >> [music]
1:42:01 >> You're just a back widening
1:42:05 eye on jealousy
1:42:08 and toxic [music] mascul.
1:42:14 You're selling lies [music] and chasing
1:42:16 thrills.
1:42:17 failing test and popping bells. [music]
1:42:20 A script you run on every girl.
1:42:23 Everybody sees you're not sounds like
1:42:26 Shawn Mendes a little bit. That's cool.
1:42:31 [music]
1:42:41 [music]
1:42:48 >> [music]
1:42:48 >> Let's make this a Do we want We'll do a
1:42:50 female cover. So, we'll do female. Tik
1:42:54 Tok wants more cowbells. Yeah, I added I
1:42:57 added um with cowbells to our prompt.
1:43:01 [laughter] So, so
1:43:22 >> [music]
1:43:28 [music]
1:43:29 >> You're just a backseat want to be
1:43:33 riding high on jealousy
1:43:36 and toxic masculinity
1:43:39 and secure electricity.
1:43:42 [music] You're selling lies and chasing
1:43:44 thrills. Failing testing, popping pills,
1:43:46 the script you run.
1:43:51 >> Not bad.
1:44:04 You're just a backseat want to be
1:44:08 riding high and jealousy [music]
1:44:11 and toxic masculinity [singing]
1:44:13 with security fed by vanity. [music]
1:44:17 You're telling lies and chasing thrills
1:44:21 failing test and popping pills. [music]
1:44:24 You run on every girl. Everybody sees
1:44:28 you're not fooling me. [music]
1:44:34 >> All right. I did salsa hip hop with
1:44:36 cowbells. Let me see. Let's see what I
1:44:38 got. [laughter]
1:44:42 Salsa.
1:44:50 >> [music]
1:44:52 >> Yeah.
1:44:54 [singing]
1:45:00 [singing]
1:45:02 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
1:45:10 [music]
1:45:12 Yeah.
1:45:15 You're just a backseat runner be
1:45:18 riding high in jealousy
1:45:21 and toxic [music] masculinity
1:45:23 with [singing] inse
1:45:31 [music] pills
1:45:33 on every girl.
1:45:40 That's kind of cool.
1:45:54 >> [music]
1:45:57 >> You're just a backseat want to be
1:45:59 [music]
1:46:01 riding high in jealousy.
1:46:07 [music]
1:46:10 All
1:46:10 >> right, that's good. Let's listen.
1:46:11 Brandon did one here. Here's Brandon's
1:46:26 [music]
1:46:32 >> [singing]
1:46:32 >> Oh,
1:46:43 you're just a backseat. Want to be
1:46:46 >> riding high on jealousy
1:46:50 and masculinity.
1:46:55 [singing]
1:46:56 [music]
1:46:59 >> That's crazy. That's really good.
1:47:01 really good. All right, two more and
1:47:03 then we're out of here.
1:47:15 [music]
1:47:21 >> [music]
1:47:26 >> Hey,
1:47:28 [music]
1:47:39 [music]
1:47:43 you're just a backseat. Want to be
1:47:45 [music]
1:47:47 riding high on jealousy
1:47:50 and toxic masculinity
1:47:52 with insebody. [music]
