20. 4:19Best bang for the buck. Well, so here's the deal about getting best bang for the buck. Anything that you can
21. 4:28get right now, anything you can get your grubby little hands on, I would get um a 16 gigabyte Mac Mini, the new one Quen 3.8 8 model
22. 4:43um that can run on a one bit that can run on a 16 gigabyte machine if you want to run it locally is apparently not bad. Um
23. 4:53I have a 64 gigabyte what what are you whimpering about? You want me to stop talking and start? Um, I have a an M5 uh M5 Pro Max
24. 5:10with 64 GB of RAM and I can run pretty good models on that. I wish I had the 128. I didn't spring for it and then two
25. 5:19months later they added $2,000 to the price tag. So, um, yeah, Apple. I would go with Apple Silicon because it's
26. 5:29unified memory. You don't need to worry about graphics cards or this or that. Um it's it's the most simple to set up.
27. 5:36Whenever the new smaller models come out, they optimize them for metal for the for the max. Um so they're pretty
28. 5:43good. So, you know, whatever you can afford, but I would go like if you can if you can afford it, get 128 gigs. Um,
29. 5:54if if you are really investing money and can get yourself a 512 gig like Mac Studio Pro or wait for the next round of
30. 6:02Apple hardware to come out, which I assume is going to be in September. Uh, you can do that. Um, but the shit's not
31. 6:12getting cheaper. It's going to get more and more expensive. Um, what a lot of people are doing right now is they're
32. 6:17going on Facebook Marketplace and getting old graphics card and old digital workstations and just filling
33. 6:23them full of graphics cards. Um, so anyway,

38. 7:46or no, last night. I guess I'll talk about that inside the AI salon. If you want to learn what I learned about codeex

42. 8:22Yeah, the thing that I learned, Kelly, is annoying and it is it's one of those subtle things that you wouldn't learn unless you just started
43. 8:36around. When's producer Brandon's codeex class? It starts September 3rd. So, if you go in the AI salon,
44. 8:44go to events, I think it's there, but it's it's a mastermind class. So, you have to be a part of the mastermind to
45. 8:50be to be in the uh the codeex class, but it's going to be really good. Brandon is doing really good work taking the the
46. 8:58repetitive things that we do in the AI salon and automating them and creating some new things. I did a I did a new
47. 9:04thing today. I'm about halfway through it. Oh, it was about the the great repurpose looking at um having it look at Reddit and uh
48. 9:18and X these kind of real time feeds to see if there's any chatter that indicates a company might be about to lay off people um or if there's
49. 9:29executives that are like I sure wish I had a clue about AI. So, I started doing that today. But but Codeex is really quite powerful. Um
50. 9:41there's a there's a really interesting interview. Um, I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but between um this guy from
51. 9:48OpenAI named Tibo Tibbo uh on X, he's the one that keeps giving people resets for their codecs. And uh
52. 9:58Matthew Berman is interviewing him and he's talking about um in two or three months we're going to have a version of
53. 10:04Codeex that's going to make the current one look quaint, which is good because the current one is so janky it's not
54. 10:10really ready for prime time. Um, what's happening, Mary? Mary, hope you're all doing well tonight. We're
55. 10:18going live inside the AI salon here in six minutes. 6 minutes. Get your together in a westerly.
56. 10:36This car is my train. I've been driving. I've been wondering what it is I'm running from again. Feel like an 80year-old man
57. 10:53holding on to 29. And up ahead on that horizon is a California line.
58. 11:11up ahead of trucks carrying a wide load. What can codeex do that chat GPT can't? Great question. Um, and not a simple question
59. 11:30inside the AI salon. When we when we do this, I can dig into that. Um, but in general, Steo, if you're accessing chat GPT from the web,
60. 11:44all of what you do and set up lives in the cloud. If you download the Chat GPT app, which they actually used to have a codeex app
61. 11:54and a Chat GPT app, it's now just one app. It's just the Chat GPD desktop app. If you're using the desktop app,
62. 12:04it's it's storing your memory locally on your hard drive. That's the biggest difference between them. And then you
63. 12:11have these two modes of chat GPT chat and chat GPT work. And work is the one that's agentic. So the big thing that I
64. 12:20refer to it as codeex but it's really chat tbt work is the same thing is it's a gentic meaning it can take action multiple actions
65. 12:32um independent of your prompt. So you give it a prompt and it will go search the web and then it'll get the answers
66. 12:39from that and then it will take those answers and turn those into a table and then it'll take that table and call a
67. 12:46tool to be able to use something. So it can surf the web, it can use tools and it can um write files locally to your
68. 12:55hard drive and it can use your computer like it's it can basically just go do for you. Whereas chatbt is like I
69. 13:04give you a prompt, you give me an answer. I'm the human, you're the robot, right? Back and forth and back and
70. 13:10forth. Um, which is cool, but it's different than giving GPT work or codeex a goal and then just have it go off and
71. 13:22do that. Have it go off and work for 20 minutes or a half hour or eight hours, which depending on how you prompt it, it
72. 13:30can go do all that stuff. So, it's crazy. Anyway, we will talk about that and more in three minutes inside the AI

76. 13:55research project for me and made me a great report. Yeah, that's like Silverf Fox just talked about that it can go do
77. 14:01research, search multiple websites, do things, pull insights, and then generate you a report and put it in a Google doc or a PDF or both.
78. 14:13You just sort of tell it to go do stuff. The other thing you do, Steo, with with something like chat GPT work is kind of
79. 14:21like a custom GPT, you set up who you are and who you want it to act like, and then every time it starts up, it kind of
80. 14:29reminds itself, I'm working for Steo and here's my role and here's his deal and here's the projects he's working on. So,
81. 14:35it's pretty good. It's pretty good about that stuff. That's going to get better. A little janky right now, but all right,
