83. 20:47but I'm fairly confident we're within 6 weeks of something new I've been trying to explore critical thinking
84. 20:58with chat gbt it's like a circular firing squad well the fact that you the fact that you find it like a circular firing
85. 21:09squad two block Tom is the critical thinking part like your critical thinking is okay it's not ready for
86. 21:15prime time right and you might be able to prompt it in a way that you can get better at it right maybe you I don't know maybe you create a
87. 21:26series of gpts that call one another or something like that right but the the fact that it's not quite there means
88. 21:32you're doing critical thinking so I would argue that you are successfully living [Music]

130. 30:18they they had it since last November so they've had it for 10 months they've had they have a next level
131. 30:29model and I'm not even going to call it a large language model because I think it's going to be multimodal and I think it's going to
132. 30:36have reasoning on it and and reasoning is a big [ __ ] deal I don't think people understand how big a deal it is I
133. 30:45don't think I understand how big a deal it is but imagine if your chat GPT could actually analyze its answer it gave you and keep
134. 30:58whacking at it till it got it right that's that's kind of what's coming um it it looks like it's coming this fall the definition of
135. 31:10fall is from this weekend until I don't know Thanksgiving but that means in the next three months we're probably going to
136. 31:23have some some crazy new model we're also going to have Claude 3.5 Opus which is their big model Claude 3.5 sonnet's
137. 31:33what we've got right now that everyone's losing their mind over so when the big the big model shows up that should be even
138. 31:39better um December let's call it January or February you're going to have grock the new version of grock that's being
139. 31:47trained on 100,000 h100 gpus right now so that's going to be coming so we've got we got some [ __ ] coming so for me
140. 31:58that's that's the that's the most significant thing this that happened this week but it doesn't mean anything because we've
141. 32:06been pontificating and predicting something would happen with this [ __ ] project strawberry for a month now and

152. 34:11bit hobbled um it's a little bit restricted but it's the best uh second best would be Claude claw. third best probably
153. 34:25perplexity um I think perplexity has a free version I'm pretty sure Claude does I know chat GPT does those
154. 34:32are the biggies just start honest to God start with chat GPT it's got Vision it's got I mean we could go play with chat GPT if you want
155. 34:48it here here's the deal okay this is this is actually important we're at a stage now with all of these AI tools that for
156. 35:01every category there are multiple trying to think I'm trying to think of the right adjective here there
157. 35:14are multiple I was going to say world class but that's not quite right it's not quite state-of-the-art there are multiple Tools in every
158. 35:23category that are essentially as good as one another so there's some people that like Claude 3.5 more than they like chat gbt other
159. 35:35people still swear by chat gbt um you've got Google Gemini some of their models are really good they're really hard to
160. 35:42find they're all [ __ ] all over the place they're hard to find but they're really good if you are into open source
161. 35:47and want to Tinker the Llama models are really good perplexity is really good for research cla's really good for coding and for writing
162. 35:58um chat GPT is really good for that then you can go down the image route and there's probably 20 different tools
163. 36:04right now that are incredible at image generation there's probably three or four video tools that are remarkable at video generation
164. 36:18there's three that I know of song generation tools suo Udo and Loud me loud. me or loud me AI or some [ __ ] like that that's a new
165. 36:31one but you can just put in a prompt and it generates a [ __ ] song with lyrics and words and singers sing singers
166. 36:43singing you know there's programming tools that are staggeringly good there's all sorts of really specific tools like
167. 36:51presentation Builder so the tool scene right now is massive so it's it's almost like you can't go wrong what you where you can go wrong is
168. 37:01to not do anything so what's the easiest principle to ask it to do okay Brian wise so here's the here's the big here's the big unlock
169. 37:14with all the large language models it's not Google Google for 20 years trained us put as little as possible in that stupid [ __ ] box right
170. 37:28you know uh automated sprinkler systems lawn and then you know it would go find you all the lawn sprinkler systems chat
171. 37:39GPT needs a lot more context and so the big unlock for chat GPT you can go read about prompt engineering and there's all
172. 37:47sorts of methodologies with give it a roll and there's acronyms it doesn't [ __ ] matter as far as I'm concerned here's the big unlock
173. 37:58talk to chat GPT as if it were the best educated most clueless intern you've ever worked with seriously think of it like just an
174. 38:13absolute adult that knows nothing about the world but happens to have memorized everything if you had an employee like
175. 38:21that how would you talk to them well you'd have to give them a lot of context okay okay Jimmy now you're going to act
176. 38:28like a college professor and you're going to teach me about marketing you know you're a marketing Professor that
177. 38:36works at the Wharton business school and you're going to you're going to talk to me about marketing strategies and then
178. 38:42it'll spit out some things and you're like oh before you give me those strategies let me tell you a little bit
179. 38:47about my business and what I'm trying to do and then it'll give you some more things you're like okay that's still not
180. 38:51bad but but uh I want to go after you know this particular audience and so the more you talk to it like in a back and
181. 39:01forth way just imagine that you're on a that that you have a remote employee and just start talking to it
182. 39:10like a remote employee and if it gives you shitty work say ah Jimmy what that's pretty shitty work and tell it why it's shitty and I
183. 39:22I'm sorry about that and it'll and the more context you give it the better and better and better it gets Kyle what you just said would be

189. 40:27it doesn't [ __ ] matter it doesn't ma okay when you put something out in the world you're responsible for it
190. 40:42okay so if you go to chat GPT and you say write me an article it's going to write you a shitty article and if you
191. 40:50don't read that and you copy it and paste it and post that to LinkedIn you're going to look like a [ __ ]
192. 40:56idiot cuz every is going to go that's [ __ ] AI That's horrible but if you use your critical thinking if you use your thinky
193. 41:06brain there's an infinite number of ways you can write an article for LinkedIn and one of them involves using AI if
194. 41:14you're smart if you learn how to interact with it in ways that it gives you structure and it gives you ideas and
195. 41:19it gives you context and it helps you frame up arguments and then you actually look at what it wrote and you're like oh
196. 41:24this is redundant let me actually go in and edit this and fix this and then you take that and you put it on the internet and it doesn't suck
197. 41:34then it doesn't suck it's not anyone's business whether or not it was written with AI what is their business is if you put
198. 41:43shitty content out there they're going to they're going to um what did I do to my arm I just noticed that was that was

206. 43:11um okay if you're new here this group this community you need to be a part of it especially if if you're curious about AI
207. 43:28if you if you're really into Ai and no one else in your life is this is your group so this is a community that I started
208. 43:39the week after chat GPT came out with Leah fasten who's a photographer out of Boston and we've got an online community I
209. 43:50think we're up to like 1,800 people at this point and it doesn't cost anything and the people in this community are
210. 43:57quite remarkable and so if you go to the salon. scroll down a little bit you'll see a button that says join our
211. 44:07community and then if you join our community if you if you click on that button it pops you into this site which
212. 44:18is based on the mighty Network or yeah Mighty yeah Mighty networks platform so it's kind of like you know
213. 44:26Facebook or Discord or something like that and there's sort of a little six-step getting started process so there's a welcome page where
214. 44:37we talk about the journey to AI literacy play first mindfully create generously lead we talk about what that means the
215. 44:45next step is to introduce yourself to the community you're like why would I introduce myself to the community I don't even
216. 44:53know because you should because it'll be good for you just like eating your spinach some for some people introducing
217. 45:04themselves to a group of strangers is you know you'd rather jump off a cliff but this group of strangers is
218. 45:12incredibly generous what what you'll learn is if you go to our values which is Step number three our values are
219. 45:19based on who this community already is and what we want to retain so this is a group of people that are curious they're constantly trying to
220. 45:28figure out what's the next thing in AI how do we do this they're playful they're willing to play with it not be married to
221. 45:37outcomes this is a group that's remarkably empathetic remarkably empathetic sometimes people come in here
222. 45:46they'll come into the the Tik toks here they'll come into the community they'll either be really scared or they'll be
223. 45:52really pissed off and this is a community that doesn't get on soap boxes and and platitudes and judge people for being afraid of AI this
224. 46:03is a group that says what are you afraid of tell me about that why are you afraid oh I I understand that you're afraid
225. 46:08you're going to lose your job yeah that's [ __ ] terrifying you want to see something cool so so it's a group of AI optimists
226. 46:18empathy is a a big part of what this group's about bravery being willing here here's the thing AI right now is very very intimidating
227. 46:32if you don't know anything about AI especially if you're not technical what you know about AI is what you've heard for the past two or three
228. 46:42decades oh you've got to be a mathematician you have to have a degree from Stamford or MIT historically that was
229. 46:51true but starting November 30th 2022 with the launch of chat GPT all of a sudden machine learning and artificial intelligence has been
230. 47:04revealed handed to the rest of us so it takes a certain amount of Bravery to make the leap to say even though I don't have a degree from MIT
231. 47:17I'm going to go for it and what you'll learn and what this group will inspire you um and if you just hang out on these
232. 47:26Tik Tok night after night and you you'll learn it here as well is that there is a tremendous amount of Joy when you start to unlock what
233. 47:37generative AI is it's it's incredibly joyful it's incredibly inspiring it's incredibly creative it's incredibly transformative on a personal
234. 47:52level but you got to take that leap and this is a group of people who've taken that leap and then the last value that
235. 47:59we we really honor and encourage is generosity and generosity looks like hey I just learned something you want to
236. 48:07learn it too let me start a guild so I can teach you what I know I like I I like I like learning this stuff and I'm
237. 48:13going to I'm going to tell you what I learn along the way or oh you're new here and you don't know anything here's three places to

278. 55:38and what's happened over the summer is that AI uh open AI has stopped releasing [ __ ] like they haven't released any
279. 55:46significant upgrade to their stuff in um six months they there's been a lot of announcements there's been a lot of
280. 55:55delays it's you know and some big shit's coming blah blah blah in those 6 months lots and lots of people have caught up in the largest
281. 56:05language model space lots of people have caught up in the image generation space lots of people have caught up in the video generation
282. 56:13space and so what I'm what I'm in the middle of exploring and and figuring out how we how we talk about more in this
283. 56:24channel is not the skills of how you do stuff but it's more the aptitude of who you're being to be able to be successful at Ai
284. 56:37and and the how how I'm phrasing it or how I'm categorizing it is Rise of the agile human um and and what that looks like is
285. 56:48you want to find people in your organization that that are really high in these in these attributes curiosity
286. 56:56drive or bravery like willing to take a risk creativity people that are good at multitasking people that are good at
287. 57:03horizontal thinking right you might have people that are super good at vertical like a specific skill well if AI gets good at doing that
288. 57:13skill then that person's going to be really limited but if they can also think horizontally across disciplines
289. 57:20that's going to be more valuable are they good at critical thinking are they good at looking at hey is chat P PT is
290. 57:26what it's doing actually any good and if it's not good how can I use my critical thinking to learn how to
291. 57:34talk to it so what I get from it is good because if you start really exploring these tools with these kind of mindsets you can you can
292. 57:46get better at this [ __ ] um discernment taste generative AI generates [ __ ] monumental mountains of content
293. 57:59that you then have to sift through and figure out what's good what's not hang on I got a puzzle piece I got
294. 58:05to put in place thanks Tick Tock you're an [ __ ] um you know what's your judgment you know is this is this stuff good is it good for your
295. 58:13business um do you have adaptability are you willing to change things on the Fly the next 3 years are going to be chaos not because the
296. 58:30okay I'm I'm starting to have some clarity around work what we hear a lot right now from people that are afraid of AI and people
297. 58:42who not are not playing with AI is AI is going to take your job and I think it's much more Nuance than that I think what AI is increasingly
298. 58:54going to do is it's going to automate the tasks that currently make up your job and if it automates all of the tasks
299. 59:05that make up your job and you've got no other skills and you don't have these aptitudes then yeah it's going to take your job
300. 59:13okay but what we don't know as individuals and what businesses don't know is what tasks is it going to automate first and so I think what's
301. 59:23going to happen is it's not going to do it all at once so it's not just going to come in and just be good at copywriting
302. 59:29now copywriters are gone it's going to come in and be good at these six aspects of the 23 tasks that you do as a
303. 59:37copywriter and if if you don't recognize that okay those six tasks I can offload those to AI but these other things I'm
304. 59:44still required for and I think that mix of what AI automates in the tasks of each of the jobs that's where the chaos is going to
305. 59:54live and so the reason you need to find people in your organization that have this agility gene or they can develop
306. 1:00:05this these are going to be the people who are really good in an environment where the the rules keep changing the rigid people the people
307. 1:00:16that just want to do their one thing that they're going to be in the world of hurt and so what's weird about this is
308. 1:00:24the people that have these skills that I think are going to make them the most valuable people as we move into this chaotic
309. 1:00:33World they may not be in positions of power you might have an administrative assistant who's [ __ ] brilliant at
310. 1:00:40this [ __ ] I would get that Administrative Assistant learning AI immediately corporate has taught us to
311. 1:00:50find busy work where AI does the busy work we get to do the essential work yeah exactly this this is these
312. 1:00:57attributes are where that essential work happens so I just I wanted to share this because what we're about to do with

348. 1:06:43a really important question and it's it's got a really nuanced answer you absolutely do not need any sort of
349. 1:06:58certification um or degree to be able to get a job that involves being good at generative AI now here's the massive
350. 1:07:15exception if the certification that you're getting is in developing machine learning algorithms and and building
351. 1:07:24models and doing fin tuning and creating embeddings and doing things like Lang chain and building applications then you're working in a
352. 1:07:33part of AI and machine learning that's the part that's been around for 30 years so that area if you're going to go into
353. 1:07:43the engineering side of machine learning and and AI then yeah having a certification from a trusted Source or you know having you
354. 1:07:54know a uh a certificate from Stamford or MIT or Google or Microsoft one of these things that that's in the if if you're
355. 1:08:03working in kind of kind of the underpinnings of m machine learning then it makes sense if you're talking about generative
356. 1:08:11AI if you're talking about how to use chat gbt and how to use Claud for programming and and how to make images
357. 1:08:19like we're about to do and and make videos and make songs and Stitch all this stuff together and understand the
358. 1:08:27implications on all of the work that's about to change not only do you not need a certificate for that you can't get one
359. 1:08:35right now I mean you can get one but they're going to be absolutely useless because everything is changing so fast
360. 1:08:42so there's there's very much two different worlds what this channel is focusing on is the post chat GPT kind of
361. 1:08:50generative AI use the tools rather than build the tools so if you're in the build build the tools side of the game
362. 1:08:57those certificates make a difference if you're in the how is AI going to impact the workforce moving forward that's
363. 1:09:05essentially the wild west right now and that's where in my opinion tons of opportunity is because nobody knows what

368. 1:09:42completely disagree with that there's there's probably not a job on LinkedIn I want you to come in and do generative AI
369. 1:09:50for my company but people that are doing generative AI within companies are accelerating their careers in dramatic

377. 1:11:21or better than the competition and so I'm going to use chat GPD to come up with a whole new kind of product and I'm
378. 1:11:27going to sell it into the insurance refactoring Market I don't even know if insurance refactoring is a [ __ ] thing
379. 1:11:34but how you make money with any tool is you figure out a problem that needs solving and you solve it better than the other
380. 1:11:41people you either do it faster cheaper or better than the competition what AI gives you the possibility of is you can
381. 1:11:49potentially do it faster better and cheaper than the competition that's where the [ __ ] massive gains are is you come in and
382. 1:12:00someone's charging half a million dollars a year to do whatever they do and you walk through that door and say
383. 1:12:05for a 100 Grand I can turn it around twice as fast give you twice as many options that are as good or better for a

629. 2:04:04stuff that I'm trying to focus on are kind of the the core the the the lower level tools that a lot of these other
630. 2:04:11tools are built from um so that that Blaze AI is they're what they're essentially doing there is they're pre-
631. 2:04:19prompting they're they're stitching together number of different models a video generation model and they're
632. 2:04:24probably using 11 labs for audio synthesis they're probably using hyen or Synthesia for video synthesis um they're
633. 2:04:32using other things for design overlay so what those sites are is they're pre- prompting and pre-building a bunch of
634. 2:04:39stuff that's stitching together a bunch of tools what I'm trying to teach here is what are the core tools that make
635. 2:04:46those up and then you can look at a tool like that and analyze it and say oh it's cheaper for me to just buy the [ __ ]
636. 2:04:52they've done cuz it it does exactly what I want it to do but that doesn't mean like those tools are so specific
637. 2:05:02and that one in particular has a really particular vibe to it some people are going to love that some people are going
