2:40 X oh are there solar flares going on
2:42 there's all sorts of crap going on
2:45 there's there's drones in New Jersey
2:53 [Music]
3:01 [Music]
3:10 [Music]
3:18 note to self tune the guitar before you
3:20 get on the live if you don't have
3:22 perfect
3:23 pitch and your tuners on your phone that
3:26 you're live streaming on can't really
3:28 tune this thing
3:35 ah play us a tune from back in my day
3:39 [Music]
3:50 um take to Highway won't you let me on
3:55 name your way and my way seem to be one
3:59 andan
4:01 mama don't understand
4:03 it she wants to know where I've been I'd
4:07 have to be some kind of natural B fol
4:10 want to pass that way again you know
4:12 that I feel
4:16 it on the country road I know that much
4:20 of that
4:22 one that's an old and timey James Taylor
4:34 from back in your
4:37 day that was an agist comment wasn't
4:41 [Music]
4:44 it place a tune from back when they
4:47 invented guitars sir
4:51 [Music]
4:57 s Hey Ocean what's happening Chris J cut
5:01 Keef Shane saw was shaking
5:05 [Music]
5:41 [Music]
5:46 no I can't I can't I can't I'm
5:49 incompetent I I am I am less qualified
5:54 to talk about AI than I am qualified to
5:57 tune my guitar
6:04 pretty sure there's a SC Sasquatch riot
6:06 in Oregon an alien invasion in pagonia I
6:09 I just everything is happening all at
6:11 once isn't
6:12 it they crack Quantum Computing
6:16 yesterday Google go Google comes out
6:18 with
6:19 Willow did I I
6:22 mean okay so I I know like that much
6:27 about Quantum Computing nothing I know
6:29 nothing about it
6:31 here let me flip this so you can so I'm
6:33 looking at everyone at the same time I
6:36 know this much about Quantum Computing
6:38 what's like I need I need a space
6:41 between my fingers smaller than a quark
6:45 like a quantum dot is what I know about
6:48 Quantum Computing but here's here's a a
6:51 a factoid that I knew every time you add
6:55 a cubit which is a single bit that lives
6:58 in super position
7:01 you exponentially increase the error
7:03 rate in the
7:05 system and for 30 years they've been
7:07 trying to crack Quantum error
7:10 problems
7:14 um we're going to need the Multiverse to
7:16 handle all these updates no [ __ ] um for
7:21 30 years they've been trying to crack
7:23 the problem problem the error
7:27 problem so what Willow does
7:32 is every time you add a cubit it
7:34 exponentially decreases the error
7:37 rate what how did they do that math
7:42 apparently is the answer brain
7:45 brains brain people with large cranial
7:50 activity that apparently have
7:53 functioning prefrontal cortexes C cortex
7:56 ey
8:00 I'm a
8:05 machine this is a major breakthrough
8:07 it's a major [ __ ]
8:10 breakthrough and anywhere where you've
8:12 got Quantum Quantum problems to be
8:15 solved which which is things like
8:17 protein folding you know for like Health
8:20 Care like fixing health
8:25 care and energy and batteries and all
8:28 sorts of crazy ass [ __ ] now that
8:30 everything's so small it it runs by
8:32 different rules because of
8:34 quantum
8:36 [ __ ] and then apparently there's all
8:38 sorts of implications to that we're
8:40 absolutely [ __ ] in a living in a
8:42 simulation this is so so in 2024 the
8:47 movie Her became became a documentary
8:51 and then apparently in 2025 The Matrix
8:54 is going to become a
8:57 documentary my brain I'm right there
9:00 with you I can't I can't I I was just
9:03 saying this to Brandon before we were
9:05 coming on we were SED talking about what
9:07 we're going to talk about tonight and
9:10 it's like I don't like where to I don't
9:12 even know where to
9:14 begin I I don't even I don't even know
9:16 what to talk about here I can talk about
9:20 this you can make
9:23 money
9:24 um open it chat GPT was down for about
9:28 an hour and the world lost its
9:30 Collective [ __ ]
9:34 mind including me my tweet when when
9:39 open AI went down when Chad gbt went
9:41 down my tweet was um was
9:46 um please don't make me make please
9:48 don't make me use my brain this is
9:51 [Laughter]
9:55 [Music]
9:57 exhausting oh my God
10:01 star in the old timey days oh does
10:04 anyone hear of Sora yet I have Sora and
10:06 I'll play I'll play I can play with Sora
10:08 a bit tonight in fact do I have it up
10:10 here I think I do is this Sora no that's
10:12 deep
10:14 mind let me get SORA
10:17 up mid Journey came out with some new
10:20 janky ass World Builder tool that looks
10:24 well it
10:26 looks it looks like an engineer had an
10:29 idea and they're like ah [ __ ] it just
10:30 launch it everyone else is launching
10:35 [ __ ] it's it's got a really bad
10:37 interface right now but it's ambitious
10:40 and I like
10:41 [Music]
10:48 it I mean the nice thing about mid
10:51 [Music]
10:55 journey is they're they're a very small
10:58 company so if they want to just [ __ ]
11:00 launch something they just do
11:02 it and uh
11:05 yeah wild yeah where to begin all right
11:09 I don't know I don't know who's got
11:11 who's got questions who's got thoughts
11:12 Lori Ryan I missed the 12 days of ship
11:14 Miss today anything good so what they
11:16 announced today at the 12 uh day five of
11:19 12 days of shipus was chat gbts in iOS
11:24 and they seem to coordinate with apple
11:27 which so so it continued to be the
11:30 world's most awkward 12 days of releases
11:34 right it was still it was Sam Alman and
11:36 two other guys Engineers clearly uh
11:40 wearing ugly Christmas sweaters sitting
11:42 at the world's smallest table with the
11:44 Pottery Barn shelves behind them um and
11:46 like the one light the one laptop and
11:48 the one microphone so that n none of
11:50 that's
11:51 [Laughter]
11:55 changed but they did coordinate with
11:58 apple because Apple today released
12:03 um chat GPT within iOS and within
12:09 OSX um so it's built into 15.2 Ox it's
12:14 built into 18.2
12:16 iOS you have to have a 15 Pro or higher
12:20 which I don't so I can't use it on my
12:22 phone and my work computers and Intel
12:25 Mac so I couldn't use it there but
12:26 anyway it looks pretty slick it's it's
12:28 it's in there basically it's not fully
12:31 integrated but it's it's about as
12:33 integrated as Google search is within
12:36 iOS where if you're using Siri and
12:39 Siri's too stupid for your question it
12:42 will say hey do you want to use chat GPT
12:44 instead it's pretty
12:45 slick um I just started using Apple
12:48 intelligence today yep very cool um
12:52 yesterday was um what was yesterday
12:57 canvas they released canvas uh across uh
13:02 you can put it in custom gpts I just
13:05 added canvas to Sin City sipper you'll
13:08 be happy to know um it's janky it
13:10 doesn't work very well from what I can
13:12 gather right now uh sometimes it uses it
13:16 sometimes it doesn't like a good GPT
13:18 it's it's a
13:20 mess
13:21 um and they got rid of that mode that
13:24 was GPT 40 with canvas that's now gone
13:28 it's just you can invoke canvas from any
13:30 of the models so that's pretty
13:33 cool
13:36 um it's nothing new for beta Dev so it
13:39 was a disappointment yeah but I mean
13:41 listen 12 days of releases the like Sam
13:45 mman said some are going to be stocking
13:46 stuffers so today was a stocking stuffer
13:49 for sure yesterday was a stocking
13:51 stuffer um you have to wonder did chat
13:55 GPT go down today because they were
13:58 upgrading some [ __ ] for tomorrow maybe
14:02 um my suspicion is Friday will be the
14:05 big day but you know we'll see and then
14:07 we have a whole another week of this
14:09 stuff
14:12 so um Google today announced Gemini
14:17 2.0 in typical Google
14:20 fashion um they announced a lot and made
14:23 it completely unclear what's actually
14:26 live and what's coming soon and what may
14:29 never be
14:32 here thank you for that hat was that a
14:34 hat someone gave me appreciate it
14:36 question if I wanted to make a video
14:38 showcasing a platform with a
14:41 script a platform with a script what AI
14:45 is best I don't quite know what the
14:47 question means direct with
14:49 Dina joker I'm a beta tester for
14:53 another text to video that's really good
14:56 Pate may know of it interesting
15:00 so that well oh that's cool it's getting
15:04 wild out there in llm land it's getting
15:06 [ __ ] insane I mean it's seriously
15:08 getting insane if I wanted to make a
15:11 video showcasing a platform with a
15:14 script but I don't it's the platform
15:16 with a script that's throwing
15:19 me do you mean like a diving
15:22 platform or or do you mean which
15:25 platform to take a script and turn it
15:27 into a movie
15:30 if you can clear that up I'll do my best
15:31 to answer it coding drama Broadway what
15:35 kind of script yeah exactly Co coding
15:38 platform drama platform Broadway
15:41 platform and what kind of script yeah
15:43 exactly
15:46 [Music]
16:00 yeah Google teased agents today they
16:03 [Music]
16:04 teased
16:06 multimodality they teased a much
16:09 faster much more capable
16:14 platform I I don't even know where to
16:17 begin with all this
16:18 [ __ ] what do you think of the
16:20 evolutionary scale es
16:24 esm
16:25 esm3 um so cam I I went and checked it
16:28 out today I don't so so it looks amazing
16:32 so evolutionary scale is this new
16:34 platform that lets you design proteins
16:38 and like cure diseases it seems so it
16:42 looks like it's a platform to
16:45 democratize um disease
16:49 curing I know so nothing about that
16:52 world and I didn't I I don't have access
16:54 to the platform uh because it was asking
16:56 things like like um you know
16:59 what university research lab do you work
17:02 for and I'm like uh maybe I shouldn't be
17:05 in
17:06 here you can program cells yeah cim
17:09 katkin who's very passionate about this
17:11 you can program cells I I I just what
17:14 what has me absolutely apoplectic right
17:18 now
17:23 is I don't know I mean it's just so much
17:26 is coming so fast part of this is open
17:29 AI launching stuff but they're not the
17:31 only ones launching new things and and
17:34 like the capabilities are just
17:36 ratcheting up so
17:38 quickly that I that I almost feel like
17:46 um it's so funny it was
17:50 about it's about a year ago no it was
17:53 longer than that 18 months
17:55 ago Elon Musk came out and he said
18:00 um the large research Labs should take a
18:03 six-month
18:04 pause and then the literally the next
18:08 day ordered 10,000 gpus to make
18:14 Gro so that was clearly just a
18:16 transparent I want to slow my
18:18 competition down but I almost feel like
18:21 like okay launch all your ship before
18:24 the end of the year and then starting
18:27 January 1st don't [ __ ] launch it
18:29 anything like let us [ __ ] deal with
18:31 what you you've given us um for six
18:34 months because I don't know how to keep
18:37 up anymore like well and I I mean I've
18:40 talked about this on this channel a lot
18:42 that that there's no keeping up and
18:44 that's fine but it's like I can't even
18:47 keep up with knowing what's there like
18:49 like not not it used to be I couldn't
18:51 keep up with how to use it all now I got
18:54 I can't keep up with what is even
18:56 actually there uh be not afraid of on
18:59 Tik Tok Google teased another dimension
19:02 yesterday
19:04 so yeah well they yeah they I don't good
19:09 [Music]
19:26 Lord Kyle can you use sord to make a
19:29 clip from your musical um yeah I can
19:32 try we can try to do that
19:37 um when are they announcing the me seeks
19:41 I I seriously sorry if that's too
19:44 straightforward oh what did you ask
19:46 Steve was it too
19:48 straightforward what did Steve ask can I
19:50 be honest with you yes be honest with me
19:54 you can't stand the way I talk and I
19:56 never seem to finish a sentence
19:59 you said can I be honest with you and
20:01 then you didn't post anything else other
20:03 than sorry if that's too
20:04 straightforward asking me if you can be
20:06 honest with me is not too
20:08 straightforward telling me I look like
20:10 fat Alec Baldwin that might be on the
20:11 edge we've heard it
20:18 before you know you know he kind of
20:21 looks like like Rosie O'Donnell if she
20:24 had a bad day
20:27 [Laughter]
20:31 my son-in-law is a crypto dabbler he may
20:33 retire soon if things keep exploding yep
20:36 the iphone update is a lot to unpack
20:39 right now Lori I mean it's it's like I
20:43 feel like everything is a lot to unpack
20:45 right
20:46 now just
20:48 even just even in chat
20:51 GPT the interface that they changed from
20:54 when they were working earlier to when
20:56 they crashed to what they just launched
20:59 is different it's different than it was
21:01 yesterday um the Google
21:05 stuff a week ago there was this 126
21:10 experimental 1.5 thing that everyone was
21:13 all excited about today there's 2.0 but
21:16 parts of it are there parts of it are
21:17 not there
21:22 like iphone update has ey tracking
21:25 control that's huge very cool Kyle I got
21:28 to say thank you for for making this
21:29 group chat whatever you want to call it
21:31 thank you Rachel Sparkles you're welcome
21:34 um Google talking about other dimensions
21:36 should keep the Event Horizon in the mid
21:39 oh my God I know we're called the salon
21:42 oh yeah so so there does seem to be some
21:46 confusion we heard this in our we put
21:47 out a a survey for the AI salon so this
21:50 channel is the AI learning lab it's just
21:53 my channel to talk about AI the AI salon
21:59 is a larger
22:01 community that is at that address so if
22:03 you go to the salon. and click join our
22:06 community that'll take you to a mighty
22:08 network based Community where you can um
22:12 hang out and meet all these people and
22:14 and we can collaborate and do all sorts
22:16 of cool stuff
22:17 so go do that um go check that
22:24 out like like I I even had a a
22:27 philosophical thing so the when I spoke
22:29 last night at the ad Club of
22:31 Colorado um we talked about
22:42 wait make it stop at least for a
22:46 while embrace the
22:51 Jank so last night we were talking about
22:55 the future of
22:57 work and
23:00 and you know was
23:03 like it's
23:05 like
23:08 um like where where do you even begin
23:11 you know we're sitting in a room full of
23:13 you know decently high
23:15 level creative directors and creative
23:18 Executives and agency owners and there
23:21 were a couple
23:22 of CU Boulder professors there from
23:27 their uh from their creative from their
23:29 advertising
23:33 program and you know some people were
23:36 all in on AI some people had dabbled in
23:38 it and were thinking about it and some
23:40 people were like AI is stupid you know
23:43 you know the
23:44 type arms
23:49 crossed
23:53 um you know and I'm just sitting there
23:57 like trying to
24:00 to process in my head what I know is
24:06 coming like what I know is
24:09 coming is a more capable chat
24:12 GPT not not gp01 like GPT 4 is going to
24:16 go to 4.5 or
24:20 five um okay let's see Source Camp a
24:24 woman told me yesterday she hated AI
24:28 gave her my GPT and now she's totally
24:30 hooked the people that hate
24:34 AI the people that hate AI have not used
24:38 AI I am convinced of that I've been
24:41 doing this for two years I have not met
24:44 a single person that has really used AI
24:48 that hates it not a single one I've met
24:51 a lot of people that have mixed feelings
24:53 about it but they're like H yeah I got
24:55 to admit it's pretty [ __ ]
24:57 cool uh yeah uh it's pretty empowering
25:00 uh I'm more creative than I've ever been
25:02 in my life and it's rekindled my dreams
25:04 uh from when I was seven yeah yeah that
25:08 but I have uh mixed emotions about it
25:10 that's fine but the people that hate it
25:13 haven't tried it they haven't they
25:15 haven't they just
25:17 haven't it's
25:19 amazing so anyway so so it was it was a
25:22 fascinating fascinating
25:26 evening and I've had a break
25:29 through about how to talk about this
25:32 stuff and this might be good so any of
25:33 you that are doing kind of Consulting
25:35 Source Camp um any anyone who's doing a
25:37 lot of I know Silver Fox you do a fair
25:40 amount of this Vicky you do a fair
25:41 amount of this um Brandon um HT does a
25:45 lot of
25:46 this the the thing that I that that that
25:49 I'm I'm coming to is it's some it's a
25:52 thought I had about a year ago but I'm
25:54 I'm returning to it is that
25:59 everyone this is going to sound super
26:01 obvious everyone is somewhere between
26:05 completely unaware of what AI is and you
26:08 know not willing to try it and
26:10 completely aware of it right and there's
26:11 there's this
26:13 spectrum and when you're completely
26:16 unaware of it or when you're completely
26:17 resistance resistant to it you know how
26:20 to do your work right your work is a
26:23 particular workflow you know how to
26:25 start your day you know how to deal with
26:27 emails you know how to if if you're a
26:30 project manager you know how to project
26:32 manage if you're an account person you
26:33 know how to make phone calls if you're a
26:35 creative you know how to do that if
26:37 you're an engineer you know how to do
26:39 that and and one of the things that I
26:43 hear that one of the big fears that I
26:46 hear about
26:49 AI is that people take the thing that is
26:53 the the
26:55 the the closest to their self-worth
26:59 right so let's just say I'm a creative
27:02 and I and I I'm an
27:04 illustrator and I say I'm never going to
27:07 use AI for illustration because
27:10 illustration is who I am it's where my
27:12 value is and I would never use that
27:14 shitty robot soulless tool to do my
27:19 thing and I can completely respect that
27:22 right like I can completely respect that
27:24 to the extent that you've got your
27:26 selfworth rolled up in a discipl
27:30 finding a tool that is going to be as
27:32 good as you or
27:34 better probably don't give you the warm
27:36 and
27:37 fuzzies and so what I find is that
27:41 because people make it binary like that
27:43 they throw out all of AI because of that
27:46 self-worth part so so here's the kind of
27:48 thing I came
27:51 to in business there's kind of four
27:54 major wads of activity there's business
27:59 process right sending
28:01 emails writing up notes from meetings
28:04 scheduling meetings having meetings and
28:07 there's business product right I
28:09 interact with clients I deliver a good
28:11 or I deliver a service so business
28:14 process business
28:17 product and then there's on the creative
28:19 side creative process and creative
28:22 product right and creative process is
28:25 things like organizing my files and
28:28 setting up up a meeting and um uh
28:31 brainstorming potentially and and and
28:33 things like that and then there's the
28:34 creative product is I'm making the
28:37 thing so what hit me was if you've got
28:41 process a lot of the process stuff
28:43 you're not doing the thing that is core
28:45 to who you are you're doing all the
28:48 activities that allow you to do the
28:50 thing that's who you are so why not use
28:53 AI to automate all that [ __ ] start
28:56 playing with AI in the things that are
28:58 far away from your your Core
29:02 Essence so have it automate emails have
29:04 it take notes in your meetings have it
29:06 right and and when I when I present that
29:09 conversation to people they're generally
29:12 like oh yeah I could do that or even
29:14 better they're like oh well yeah I
29:16 already kind of do that I use it for
29:18 this and I use it for that and I use it
29:19 for that but I would never use it for
29:20 that like okay so there's your that's
29:23 your little boundary so keep that sacred
29:25 piece sacred and then you AI for all the
29:29 other
29:30 [ __ ] like perfectly acceptable strategy
29:34 right but that's that that's my new
29:37 insight is if you are someone or if you
29:40 know someone who's made this binary
29:42 Choice AI evil AI not going to take my
29:46 value right and it's I most of these
29:49 conversations are that Primal it's evil
29:53 why is it evil because I'm
29:56 valuable and I don't want want to be
29:58 replaced I agree with you this is our
30:02 big conclusion we got to last night our
30:04 big
30:06 conclusion people matter and do good
30:11 work people matter and do good
30:14 work everyone in the room agreed that if
30:17 you use AI in an intentional way and you
30:21 like actually curate it and give a [ __ ]
30:23 about the quality of the work and don't
30:25 put something out in the world until
30:27 it's actually good
30:29 everyone in the room agreed that yeah
30:31 that that would be
30:33 fine but but a lot of people have it in
30:35 this binary way AI
30:38 bad it's only bad if you're lazy with it
30:42 if you treat it you know anyway
30:46 so so that was good all right and the
30:50 people that hate AI are easier than the
30:52 ones that don't care I agree with that
30:56 yeah the the the people that hate AI
30:58 when you convert them they become
31:00 incredible incredibly passionate about
31:04 it the ones that don't care are tough
31:07 because it's a that the the a the apathy
31:10 around AI is is shocking to me but you
31:14 know whatever it you know that's why
31:17 that's why I have this channel like I
31:20 don't care how you feel about it just
31:22 don't ignore it just don't be apathetic
31:25 so all right all right all right all
31:28 right okay let's
31:32 see
31:34 um
31:37 December 27th and 28th it's a Friday and
31:41 a Saturday
31:43 between Christmas and New
31:46 Year's if you go to aif festiv us.com
31:50 the site's not complete but I think you
31:52 can actually
31:54 enroll so an Murphy and I last year in
31:57 this in the same weekend between
31:59 Christmas and uh New Year's we put on a
32:04 thing called GPT for good and it was a
32:06 24hour GPT buildon custom gpts for
32:09 nonprofits and this community built 150
32:13 custom gpts for nonprofits was
32:16 awesome she and I are getting together
32:19 again this year and we're putting on
32:20 what we're calling AI festiv us and it's
32:23 and so it's two full days it's like all
32:25 day Friday all day Saturday we are
32:27 taking we're not doing 24 hours straight
32:29 like we did last year because that was
32:31 stupid we're older that was just
32:37 dumb um but we're bringing in people
32:40 from the AI salon and people from our
32:42 communities um she's got she leads AI
32:44 I've got the AI Salon we've got this
32:47 community we're bringing people who are
32:49 leaders within those communities to
32:51 teach an hour so we're going to have
32:53 some hangout sessions and then it's just
32:55 going to be you can learn like one hour
32:57 might be learning a mid Journey
32:59 something one hour might be learning
33:00 some programming or a no code skill or
33:02 automations we don't know what they are
33:04 yet we're still still putting all the
33:06 the curriculum together but it's two
33:08 full days in between Christmas and New
33:10 Year so you're not [ __ ] doing
33:11 anything anyway other than just getting
33:14 fatter
33:15 right exactly so come hang out with us
33:19 all right so aif festiv
33:23 us.com oh and I wasn't sharing did you
33:26 share this
33:29 there you go um again some of the uh
33:33 like awesome person awesome person some
33:35 of this site doesn't actually exist yet
33:37 but I think this enroll Now button Works
33:40 does it no it doesn't all right well
33:44 save the save the URL bookmark the URL
33:48 and it'll probably be live at some
33:50 point but December 27th December 28th
33:53 all right cool
34:03 I still don't build gpts but I love to
34:05 collect them very nice um Tom nodler
34:08 some of my biology colleagues still
34:10 think it's copying images or at least
34:12 blending pre-existing images so I made a
34:14 picture of Eminem and Aldis Huck Huxley
34:17 jamming on Kazo on kazoo in a steampunk
34:20 style that that perception Tom that
34:24 people have that AI is is just um
34:28 copying and
34:30 pasting is so far from what it is what
34:33 did I
34:34 see I think it was a Tik Tock video I
34:37 saw yesterday it was really
34:39 good talking about oh it was a
34:45 writer and it said something
34:49 like chat PT he he was like a TV writer
34:54 right and he had advanced voice on
34:59 and advanced voice said you know I've
35:02 been trained on
35:04 130,000 scripts 130,000 TV scripts and
35:08 the guy sort of asked him like so like
35:10 are you just copying and pasting things
35:13 and and chat PT the advanced voice model
35:16 actually described really eloquently he
35:18 goes no you don't understand you don't
35:21 understand how this works do you he said
35:24 if your perception that that I as a
35:26 large language model are sitting there
35:28 reading through one script after another
35:31 like highlighting words and
35:33 understanding plot points he goes That's
35:35 not even close I look at 130,000
35:39 documents and I organize the individual
35:42 words within all of those documents into
35:45 a semantically clustered mathematical
35:49 Cloud I just understand your words and
35:52 and the relationship to themselves
35:55 within the context of these 130,000
35:57 script RPS and so when you ask for
36:00 something I just go into this space
36:04 where all these words are and I put new
36:07 ones together like like chat GPT
36:10 eloquently described the fact that none
36:13 of those scripts that it was chain
36:15 trained on actually still exist inside
36:19 chat GPT the reason it can instantly
36:22 recall all knowledge that's put into
36:26 it is because it's not not indexing a
36:31 database it it is semantic clusters of
36:35 word
36:37 fragments thousand dimensional space
36:39 it's
36:41 bizarre freaky ass
36:44 math but it's not copying and
36:47 pasting all right amazing Graphics look
36:51 and feel great Good Ju guu I know it's
36:53 really good I I I I can I can tell you I
36:57 don't know if on here tonight um so an
37:00 and I are putting this together an has
37:03 organized a whole slack channel on this
37:05 she's she has um uh mobilized Suites of
37:10 people that are doing stuff and
37:12 recruiting other people I had one job my
37:15 job was reach out to the people I know
37:17 and ask them if they want to teach an
37:18 hour and I didn't do it Monday and I
37:21 didn't do it Tuesday and I was gonna do
37:23 it today damn it an an sends me a note
37:27 uh do you want us to go ahead and reach
37:29 out to your people I was like
37:32 yes so I've done nothing on
37:37 this I'm busy and important uh no I just
37:41 yeah it's not good so anyway so thank
37:43 you to an for being a uh she's a beast
37:46 she's
37:47 awesome an also just spoke there was a
37:49 big um uh political thing up in Oregon
37:53 where she lives and she actually spoke
37:56 on behalf of the AI on to some Oregon um
38:00 AI legislators Senator and a couple of
38:02 Congress people or assembly people I
38:04 forget what they call them um and
38:06 apparently did did just absolutely
38:09 [ __ ] awesome so I don't know if
38:10 you're on the on the call and but but
38:13 great job great job fantastic all
38:21 right I I I am I am
38:25 um I I am
38:30 reluctantly I I am reluctant to get into
38:33 any tactical details because I just
38:34 don't even know where to begin here's
38:36 another thing we're going to do tonight
38:37 though
38:39 um so one of the things
38:43 that I'm starting to have some clarity
38:45 I've been thinking a lot about what do I
38:46 want to do with this channel in 2025 and
38:49 it's it's possible that Tik Tok goes
38:51 away so I'm glad we have these other
38:52 channels that we can we can share this
38:54 on um
38:59 I want to shift away
39:02 from just talking about tools and and
39:05 what I want to shift
39:06 toward is figuring out like like where's
39:10 the beginning point in a given industry
39:13 right where where no one's using Ai and
39:16 then what are some what are some
39:17 projects that you can take within that
39:19 industry and put some AI tools together
39:22 to do some projects and so think multi
39:25 you know multiple tools single industry
39:28 single
39:29 project um and so I was talking about
39:32 that today with Jim Ross of Three Mile
39:34 Storage and he said oh I've got an idea
39:36 I want to make a mascot for my business
39:38 so one of the things I want to do
39:40 tonight
39:41 is just like I I don't I've never made a
39:45 mascot I don't know how to make a mascot
39:48 I but I know how to use enough AI tools
39:50 that we can probably figure some [ __ ]
39:51 out and so what I want to do is I want
39:54 to take you know a project like that and
39:57 and just make one and and figure out
39:59 what that looks like I don't I don't
40:00 know what it looks like um it there
40:04 there's so many ways you can attack it
40:07 um so so we'll do that tonight and then
40:08 we will get into a little bit of uh a
40:11 little bit of wait we're making a plan
40:13 oh no don't don't get me wrong Source
40:16 camp this is still the AI learning lab
40:17 this is still Chad
40:20 add okay here's the difference Kelly um
40:25 most nights it is just pure chaos
40:28 tonight I kind of sort of have an idea
40:32 but it's not been any more thought out
40:33 than that make no mistake There Is No
40:41 Agenda oh good lord good people all
40:45 right from
40:46 Ocean on your opinion what's the
40:49 distance between us as society and AI
40:52 how long oan always ask the the these
40:55 great philosophical deep deep
40:58 questions um what's the distance between
41:01 Society us as society and AI how long
41:04 will it take us to fully adapt to
41:07 it do you wait last do you do you think
41:10 hate or ignore it will
41:14 stop no the only thing that would stop
41:18 AI in my
41:20 opinion
41:23 is um a massive solar flare that wipes
41:28 out all of our
41:29 computers um or EMF weapons that do the
41:34 same
41:35 EMF I think EMF electromagnetic
41:38 frequency
41:39 weapons um so long as computers are
41:44 Computing um I AI is not going away it
41:47 is it is too
41:49 powerful um the genie is too far out of
41:52 the bottle there's too much open source
41:54 right now there's too much knowledge
41:56 about how to do this this right
42:02 um so that's that so I think and and
42:05 that's a big part of my philosophy on
42:07 this channel is I don't care if you love
42:10 AI hate AI are ignorant about
42:14 AI I just don't want you to ignore it
42:18 like you can be ignorant about it I know
42:20 nothing about it you can hate
42:22 it I just don't want you to ignore it
42:25 because the people that ignore it and
42:28 and the ones that I feel the worst about
42:31 are like the the the ones that are
42:33 sitting back like this just like I will
42:35 never use that and if they stick with
42:38 that conviction they're gonna have their
42:40 ass handed to them like it's
42:42 like I just you know it's just going to
42:45 be a life of bitterness and and
42:50 disruption
42:52 um so I don't think it's going away your
42:55 question about how big is the distance
42:57 between where Society is and where AI is
43:02 um I think right
43:07 now we've got some we've got
43:11 some some
43:13 overhang from 50 years of Hollywood
43:17 telling us that the robots are going to
43:18 kill
43:20 us from 30 years
43:23 of AI really only being
43:27 a tool that engineers and mathematicians
43:30 can do anything with right we've been
43:32 using AI for decades well we big
43:37 corporations have been using AI for
43:39 decades but it's what they call
43:41 traditional AI it's not these so
43:44 traditional AI worked like this you've
43:47 got machine learning models right you
43:49 you you've got these things that can
43:51 learn and what you would do is you would
43:54 you would create a custom data set
43:58 using those tools using a neural network
44:00 in those tools and so you know one of
44:03 the more famous examples is IBM's big
44:05 blue computer that learned how to play
44:08 chess right they trained it to play
44:10 chess and all it did was know how to
44:12 play chess and if you ask it to play
44:13 Checkers it couldn't play checkers
44:15 because it was trained to play chess and
44:17 it got so good that it beat people right
44:20 and one of the things they said about um
44:23 that kind of Chess is well it will kill
44:25 chess chess will no one will ever watch
44:27 it again because no one's going to want
44:29 to watch humans play computers and lose
44:31 to them over and over again guess what
44:33 chess got more
44:34 popular computer chess
44:37 didn't but human to human chess got more
44:40 popular because people realized oh my
44:42 God it's it like you know humans at that
44:44 level of Mastery is is absolutely
44:47 compelling so it got so anyway so that
44:49 was traditional
44:52 AI so now we have this new general
44:55 capability AI that that you know chat
44:57 GPT was the first one that was really a
45:00 consumer facing front end to this
45:03 incredibly powerful general intelligence
45:07 tool right they talk about AGI
45:09 artificial general intelligence we're
45:11 not quite there yet but it seems like
45:13 we're pretty much there right it seems
45:15 like at least in the next three months
45:18 AGI will be
45:20 declared and that basically means that
45:23 these machines are Now smarter than most
45:26 people at most
45:30 jobs take that in AI in the next three
45:36 months will be better than most people
45:40 at most
45:42 jobs not just some task within a job the
45:45 whole
45:46 job right now is it going to instantly
45:50 disrupt everything no businesses take
45:52 for [ __ ] ever to adopt anything so
45:54 there's probably going to be a 2-year
45:56 period where like there's going to be
45:57 fits and starts and certain industries
45:59 get all [ __ ] up and this and
46:02 that so right now the gap between Ai and
46:07 Society is just more perception right
46:11 people are ignorant about it they're
46:12 afraid of it they they they kind of
46:15 ignorantly think it's just going to take
46:17 jobs well it's also going to generate
46:19 jobs right like it's nothing is black
46:21 and
46:22 white
46:25 um Tik Tok p
46:28 what would happen if AI AGI moved to
46:30 biological based EMP solar flare would
46:34 not affect
46:35 it yeah and that's actually that's
46:38 actually a really good point cam is that
46:42 um I I think in the past year they
46:47 put they put some amount of data in DNA
46:51 didn't they put in and just joined an
46:54 Murphy an Murphy I was giving you credit
46:59 before um for I said an Murphy and I are
47:03 putting on this event and then I cop to
47:05 the fact that I said no no Ann Murphy's
47:07 putting on this event and I'm pretending
47:09 like I'm putting on this
47:12 event I I CED to the fact that I didn't
47:15 even invite my people
47:17 so but I showed the site and then I
47:19 realized the site's not quite finished
47:21 so I just told people will hold the
47:22 dates but anyway welcome
47:28 oh man okay so back to this this Ocean's
47:32 question about the Gap um yeah kamam
47:34 kakin to your point the um if we move
47:38 data to to DNA which which I think they
47:40 did this year they put some big data
47:44 Block in a strand of
47:46 DNA and then I think could replicate it
47:48 and pull the data out of it they did
47:50 something crazy um funny images in
47:52 Irregulars steo made a mascot okay great
47:54 that's awesome yeah so so if Jim Ross is
47:58 in here one of the ways you make a
47:59 mascot for your business is you announce
48:01 it on a channel like this that you need
48:02 to make a mascot and people go do it for
48:05 you um okay so right now let's just call
48:10 it
48:11 5050 50 PE 50% of people are aware of AI
48:15 and aware it's a big deal and they're
48:17 kind of doing some [ __ ] with it 50% of
48:19 the people hate it are ignorant to it
48:23 are are dismissive of it
48:28 the third element that's happening right
48:30 now is that once we hit AGI and once we
48:35 hit autonomous
48:37 agents which they're all kind of here
48:40 right we don't know how to use them yet
48:42 we don't quite know what they are but I
48:44 think that's going to be one of the big
48:45 announcements from open AI is agents and
48:48 Google just announced theirs and I'm
48:50 sure meta is going to announce theirs
48:52 we're going to have
48:54 agentic ai and what that means if you
48:57 don't know is it means AI that can go
49:00 off and do stuff on your
49:02 behalf like without your direction it
49:05 can just go do
49:11 [ __ ] we're um okay let's
49:15 see try trying trying to come up with a
49:18 metaphor here people hang
49:20 on
49:22 um I got nothing I got nothing
49:31 okay this sort of works cards pack of
49:35 cards two packs of
49:38 cards and
49:40 then wait oh yeah wait I'm go back to
49:43 the
49:45 Box
49:48 AI okay okay got you good right box this
49:54 is AI the general capability of AI
49:58 these are people who are some version of
50:02 in it here's some people that are out
50:05 here
50:06 okay AI is about to do
50:13 [Music]
50:18 this even
50:20 us who who are into it are about to
50:24 experience AI accelerating away from
50:30 us um it's it's about to
50:34 get
50:35 [Music]
50:37 dramatically dramatically
50:40 surreal like dramatically surreal where
50:44 right now you like like some of the
50:46 comments that I heard in this in this
50:48 advertising meeting last night were just
50:51 things like Well it can't write as good
50:53 as us it still makes mistakes Well it
50:56 can't it can't come up with a novel
51:00 design well no it it actually [ __ ]
51:03 can like right now it
51:05 can like with with a decent creative
51:08 director at the helm prompting it well
51:11 and doing good
51:12 curation it
51:15 can but if we go from GPT 4 that was
51:18 trained on whatever it
51:22 was 18 trillion
51:25 tokens to GPT 5 that was trained on 180
51:29 trillion
51:30 tokens or or whatever
51:33 like if it if it 10x is even if it 2x's
51:37 in
51:39 capability it's going to be able to do
51:41 good [ __ ] like really good [ __ ] like
51:44 better than most people at most
51:47 jobs better than most people at most
51:52 jobs um Tom
51:54 nodler imagine if you could see inside
51:57 Kyle's head I don't think anybody wants
52:04 that oh my god um all right let's see
52:09 Jim Ross I'm here okay good
52:12 beautiful um we're gonna get to you Jim
52:15 I promise we haven't gotten there yet
52:18 I'm
52:19 pontificating little
52:25 pontificating so
52:28 so if what you're hoping for for me is
52:31 to understand what does the world look
52:33 like when AI accelerates away from us up
52:37 and to the right dramatically away from
52:39 us I mean we're still using the tools
52:42 right we still get to use them but I
52:46 just I I can't comprehend how powerful
52:49 these tools are right now I
52:52 can't like it still melts my face I can
52:56 say I want a mascot that's a robot for a
53:00 storage business and this shit'll come
53:03 up with
53:05 it or I want a hundred different
53:08 concepts for how you might create a
53:12 mascot for a self- storage
53:17 business and it just it just does it
53:19 like that bang although chat gpd's been
53:22 really slow lately but good Lord
53:31 pontificating a fancy word that means
53:33 ignoring your
53:43 producer never a dull moment at chat
53:47 add yeah all right let's go look at some
53:55 [ __ ] this is a YouTube thumbnail that
53:58 showed me before I joined the live
54:07 tonight there's an ad this guy's the CEO
54:10 of this company Story vine um this was a
54:13 this is a bad HR
54:19 moment oh man all right what else we got
54:22 in here okay we got a we got a mascot up
54:25 in Show in tell images all right so
54:28 where I am right now is I'm over at the
54:30 AI
54:31 Salon I'm over
54:34 here and then if you click on join our
54:36 community that'll jump you over to our
54:38 Mighty networks area that's where I am
54:40 right
54:41 now um Three Mile Storage nice the
54:44 little the little storage box that's
54:46 actually not a bad idea Jim Ross the uh
54:49 I know I know we've got you've got miles
54:51 that you want to do but there's
54:52 something about like the little 10
54:55 by10 the little 10 by 10 storage Cube
54:57 that's not
54:59 bad that's not
55:05 bad see I was gonna go and do a whole
55:08 thing like a creative brief and all that
55:09 sort of [ __ ] which I still think I want
55:11 to do because I want to show you just
55:13 you know lots of different ways you can
55:15 do it but that's actually pretty good
55:17 steo Danielle toas Santa Christmas
55:20 beautiful oh that's
55:22 cool nice black bar I'm a loser
55:28 oh
55:29 man AI fundraising M Murphy to be honest
55:34 my brain went into neuroblast I don't
55:37 recall Silver Fox want to be part of the
55:39 comms team I like it all right so
55:41 there's all sorts of collabs going on in
55:43 the comments love that mascot is a very
55:47 Japanese thing they have mascots for
55:48 everything oh that's cool that's
55:52 cool Aaron R I'm honestly more
55:55 productive without AI the context
55:57 windows are too small currently Aaron
55:59 have you played with with
56:01 Gemini Gemini's got 2 million tokens two
56:06 million and it's
56:09 multimodal you can upload an hour no two
56:12 two million tokens is two hours of
56:14 video 34 hours of audio or like I
56:20 like you can't possibly have two million
56:24 two million tokens worth of stuff
56:27 but anyway yeah I think chat GPT
56:29 claude's a little better claude's
56:31 200,000 tokens but but Gemini if you
56:34 need context window we've got a tool
56:36 there with with good context window and
56:38 it's good Gemini's good G Gemini 1.5 Pro
56:42 and up are good really
56:45 good so no excuses again I'm like
56:51 like there's another thing I experienced
56:54 last night a lot of the comments a lot
56:57 of the comments are the same [ __ ]
57:00 comments that I
57:02 heard three months after chat GPT came
57:04 out it hallucinates it can't spell it
57:07 can't count it can't do math it can't oh
57:09 it can't do math you mean code
57:12 interpreter where it writes and executes
57:13 its own python code where it can do math
57:17 you mean that oh it could do that yeah
57:19 it can do
57:21 that it's been two
57:23 years right these things have been
57:25 evolving and like they're just like
57:28 every single tool out there every single
57:31 major
57:32 player these tools have gotten like even
57:35 in the past three months have gotten
57:37 better and better and better and
57:39 better I mean the stupid rap song that I
57:42 that I produced The quantum
57:45 Cipher I've been using that prompt for
57:48 two years and two weeks ago three weeks
57:51 ago now all of a sudden chat GPT was
57:55 good enough to to actually EX it the way
57:57 I expected it to two years ago this
58:00 stuff is getting dramatically better
58:02 dramatically
58:03 fast I love that image who did that
58:06 image Jason oh yeah Jason with the
58:08 mountain bike image
58:09 too that's just cool you pick a style
58:12 that you like like that and you go let
58:13 me see how it looks on a mountain bike
58:15 yeah it's pretty good amazing look at
58:17 look at this whole this whole line
58:24 beautiful how swiss cheese is made
58:26 that's
58:31 awesome want to buy a watch genuine
58:40 Olex oh let's go look at the Irregulars
58:43 Channel what's going on down
58:47 here oh that was that thumbnail
58:51 chat I usually don't rap but
58:57 Tick Tock pin Joker Kyle I made you a
58:59 web- based web P jpeg
59:03 converter what's one more
59:09 tab that's
59:12 awesome oh my God oh my
59:17 God all right I gotta frame that put
59:20 that up
59:23 somewhere Kyle I understand you're a
59:25 professor oh yeah yeah I don't like to
59:28 brag about it but yeah I educate
59:31 [Laughter]
59:40 people man oh Lordy all right where's
59:46 Joker's Joker made a converter is it in
59:49 the chat
59:55 here d d
1:00:00 d Gemini 2.0 is very fast I didn't get a
1:00:04 CH test to chance it internally before
1:00:07 today Lord digital God says it's very
1:00:10 fast but in my testing had high python
1:00:12 coding error
1:00:17 rate
1:00:19 shank G
1:00:22 gang I don't know where
1:00:28 it's so
1:00:31 beautiful I don't know where that is
1:00:34 search webp yeah maybe
1:00:39 webp
1:00:42 nope I cannot find it all right all
1:00:45 right let's go let's go play with some
1:00:47 other stuff um where do I want to
1:00:49 begin someone wanted to see something in
1:00:52 Sora I think where we're GNA go is we're
1:00:54 gonna start with chat GPT okay yeah
1:00:58 let's go let me close this do a new
1:01:03 okay make this a little bit bigger boom
1:01:06 boom
1:01:07 boom oh it looks like they got rid of
1:01:10 their
1:01:12 yeah remember they had their their uh
1:01:15 their responsive design they had they
1:01:17 had some of the old responsive designs
1:01:19 in so when you zoomed in the interface
1:01:21 changed they fixed that
1:01:24 nice all right you you can all see that
1:01:27 right okay good uh can I ask a technical
1:01:30 question with your streaming setup how
1:01:32 are you set up with the
1:01:36 camera well oh so how do I get the dual
1:01:39 camera there's an option in Tik Tock
1:01:42 sometimes it's there sometimes it's not
1:01:44 it it has occasionally disappeared for
1:01:46 me so it's possible you don't have it
1:01:47 but when you go live there's a button
1:01:50 that says duel and it basically just
1:01:52 turns on both cameras and then you turn
1:01:54 on square or Circle and it just does it
1:01:58 um and then but over here the thing that
1:02:02 other thing is streamyard so I'm
1:02:04 streaming onto YouTube LinkedIn and X
1:02:08 using streamyard all right
1:02:12 I
1:02:14 um Joker tagged me beautiful beautiful
1:02:18 let's go look at what Joker built for
1:02:21 us what' you do there Joker hey hey let
1:02:25 me tell you
1:02:27 something Kyle Shannon oh wait no that
1:02:30 was
1:02:32 me converter here we
1:02:37 go so one of the things that makes me
1:02:40 [ __ ]
1:02:48 insane cannot get converter it didn't
1:02:51 work
1:02:55 [Laughter]
1:03:01 all right let's go back to this okay
1:03:03 chat
1:03:04 GPT um new interface so if you look down
1:03:07 here at the bottom this little things
1:03:10 mean means you can attach a file this
1:03:12 little thing says show me the tools this
1:03:15 little thing says
1:03:17 um search the web so those are your
1:03:20 three new tools this thing over here on
1:03:22 the right is advanced voice mode they
1:03:24 just call it voice mode but it's
1:03:25 advanced voice mode um these little
1:03:29 buttons here are actually now kind of
1:03:32 useful every one of these kind of
1:03:33 teaches you hang on I got to do a puzzle
1:03:35 piece sorry physical and visual
1:03:38 dexterity Challenge from Tik Tock I did
1:03:40 it I'm a winner yay he did it he got the
1:03:45 puzzle piece in the first
1:03:48 try
1:03:50 ah pulling gpts within chat has been
1:03:53 wonky the last two days I I tried to to
1:03:56 make Sin City sipper use canvas and it's
1:03:59 weird it's it doesn't work all the time
1:04:00 but I'll show I'll show you what I've
1:04:02 got so far and how I did it um each one
1:04:06 of these little colored buttons is
1:04:09 is open ai's attempt to let you know
1:04:13 chat GPT is no longer just a single
1:04:16 thing my closest um my closest metaphor
1:04:20 in the past couple of days is if you Ed
1:04:24 Photoshop when it first came out
1:04:26 right and then you never used another
1:04:28 Adobe product again and then you came
1:04:31 back to it now and you're like oh yeah
1:04:33 Adobe it's it's Photoshop yeah I know
1:04:35 how to use Photoshop no no you knew how
1:04:37 to use Photoshop 1.0 Adobe now is like
1:04:40 30 different tools Each of which which
1:04:44 you know takes a slice of the creative
1:04:48 profession and goes incredibly deep on
1:04:49 it there's like 30 of them that's kind
1:04:51 of what chat GPT is turning into where
1:04:54 it's taking this concept of what a large
1:04:56 language model is and it's just
1:04:58 exploding it out into all these
1:05:00 different
1:05:01 tools including some stuff you can't
1:05:04 even see here like Sora is now living on
1:05:06 a completely different site than this
1:05:07 Sora is not integrated into this okay so
1:05:11 so all those things are new now up here
1:05:13 we still have the models but you'll
1:05:15 notice that one of the models is missing
1:05:18 the model that's missing is GPT 40 with
1:05:21 canvas used to be a separate distinct
1:05:24 model it's not now
1:05:27 you click on the tools and canvas is one
1:05:30 of the tools reasoning is one of the
1:05:32 tools searching the web is one of the
1:05:34 tools and making pictures is one of the
1:05:36 tools so it's weird that we have
1:05:38 searched the web as one of the tools and
1:05:40 that's also down here so it lives in two
1:05:42 places and also reasoning 01 is also a
1:05:46 model change so that's up here and if I
1:05:50 use 01 down
1:05:52 here so if I'm in 40 and I go to 01 here
1:05:56 does it go to 01
1:05:57 mini I don't know I think it just goes
1:06:00 to 01 so you have to manually so anyway
1:06:03 we're we're in the midst of some updates
1:06:06 all
1:06:10 right so that's
1:06:13 that good Lord where to even
1:06:18 begin well let me show you
1:06:20 uh let me show you canvas if you haven't
1:06:24 seen canvas so so I'm going to click on
1:06:26 a tool so it pops up canvas as a tool
1:06:29 here and I'm going to say write
1:06:32 me the
1:06:35 best opening
1:06:41 paragraph you can imagine for the
1:06:46 Great
1:06:49 American
1:06:50 novel that will make me famous
1:06:56 it's
1:06:59 about a
1:07:01 guy who
1:07:04 positions
1:07:07 himself as an
1:07:11 expert and world
1:07:14 class
1:07:17 mansplainer but really is
1:07:22 completely
1:07:24 clueless and
1:07:26 um
1:07:38 unqualified somewhere between the
1:07:40 earnest wait where did it go failed to
1:07:43 generate
1:07:46 what no you generated it and then your
1:07:49 stupid safety
1:07:51 rules um try
1:07:54 again didn't like what you wrote it's
1:07:56 not my fault you wrote something
1:08:00 [Laughter]
1:08:03 stupid all right here it put it in a
1:08:05 canvas in the brittle light of Tuesday
1:08:08 Morning wi prop sat at the center of his
1:08:11 own Universe a corner booth and lose
1:08:14 Diner half shielded by the faux leather
1:08:16 cushion and entirely obscured by his own
1:08:19 delusions he was explaining loudly with
1:08:22 an air of paternal condescendence that
1:08:25 the precise way one ought to fold a
1:08:28 fitted sheet I like this this is
1:08:34 solid all right there was a certain
1:08:37 Artistry to the way Dale Marshall
1:08:39 explained things an effortless blend of
1:08:41 condescension and conviction that left
1:08:43 his LIF listeners marveling not at the
1:08:46 depth of his Insight but that sheer
1:08:48 audacity of his ignorance all right we
1:08:50 like this one better this one this is
1:08:52 good all right so we're gon to say I
1:08:53 prefer this response all right so we
1:08:56 just trained it to do that um I crafted
1:09:00 a paragraph I wanted in my in my what
1:09:03 youall
1:09:04 it there we go so so now it's now it's
1:09:08 in um a canvas so I can edit this right
1:09:11 so I can come in here at least Dale
1:09:13 himself let's let's say
1:09:15 uh
1:09:18 um change his name to Kyle Shannon
1:09:30 [Music]
1:09:35 there was a certain Artistry to the way
1:09:37 that Kyle Shannon explained things
1:09:39 neverless Bland of condescension and
1:09:41 conviction that left his listeners
1:09:43 marveling not at the depth of his
1:09:45 Insight but the sheer audacity of his
1:09:48 ignorance to the untrained eye he was a
1:09:50 man of wisdom and worldliness the kind
1:09:52 of guy that could draw a detailed
1:09:54 diagram of a carburetor on a cocktail
1:09:56 napkin and casually referen C in in a
1:09:59 discussion about brunch but to anyone
1:10:02 stuck around long enough like the
1:10:05 Irregulars it became painfully clear
1:10:08 Kyle was less a sage and more a Salesman
1:10:11 Hawking the half truths and unearth
1:10:13 confidence with the Zeal of a man who'd
1:10:16 never paused to question himself and yet
1:10:20 in a world starving for certainty his
1:10:23 was a performance no one could afford to
1:10:25 stop
1:10:26 watching least of all Kyle himself
1:10:30 that's good not for nothing that's good
1:10:33 word smithing solid all right fan
1:10:38 fucktastic
1:10:39 one thing that was kind of glossed over
1:10:41 the Open Eye announcement was that you
1:10:43 can now start a new chat with canvas in
1:10:46 draft mode editing the content before
1:10:48 sending it to the llm yeah I saw that
1:10:51 and I didn't quite get when you would
1:10:53 use it but yes I saw that care ful Kyle
1:10:56 or one of us will use this paragraph in
1:10:59 your eventual eulogy
1:11:03 nice oh Kyle we'll miss him there was a
1:11:06 certain Artistry to the way Kyle
1:11:08 explained things an effortless blend of
1:11:10 condescension and conviction that left
1:11:12 his listeners marveling yeah no that's
1:11:15 good that's solid all right so let's
1:11:18 let's do let's do now that we're here I
1:11:21 want to I want to start playing with uh
1:11:23 Jim Ross if you're Jim Ross fell asleep
1:11:26 at this point he's like dude I thought
1:11:28 you were going to make me a mascot
1:11:30 man um so what we're going to
1:11:34 do is we're going to start from from
1:11:36 zero and I think I'm G to start with
1:11:39 Advanced
1:11:40 reasoning do I want to start with
1:11:42 Advanced reasoning no I'm gonna go back
1:11:44 here okay so here's a question when do
1:11:46 you use Advanced reasoning and not and
1:11:48 if you're just like well Kyle if you're
1:11:50 just making a mascot why are you
1:11:51 starting in chat GT well there's a lot
1:11:53 of reasons first of all I want to
1:11:56 understand like why what and then
1:11:59 also let's go to
1:12:03 Three Mile
1:12:13 Storage Drive success in your self
1:12:16 storage business yeah dude definitely
1:12:18 needs a mascot I mean these two people
1:12:21 are nice but you know come on we need a
1:12:24 mascot don't we
1:12:27 because watch here we're going to do
1:12:29 this real quick
1:12:31 it this is um this welcome to Chad
1:12:41 add it's gonna be good just just hang
1:12:44 with me here oh we're gonna hang with oh
1:12:46 wait I can't run oh come on really I
1:12:49 can't run Photoshop because my hard
1:12:50 drive is too full shut up
1:12:53 [Laughter]
1:12:54 [Music]
1:12:58 I don't even have enough in here to oh
1:13:00 this is bad let's see
1:13:03 um
1:13:04 uh we can just take all the downloads
1:13:07 and just kill them all yeah why don't I
1:13:09 do that we'll just take all those move
1:13:10 them to
1:13:13 [Music]
1:13:16 trash this is file management the ADHD
1:13:24 way only delete eat stuff when you
1:13:26 absolutely have
1:13:32 to all right hopefully that'll launch
1:13:35 let's go if it if it doesn't it'll
1:13:37 prevent me from running down this rabbit
1:13:38 hole which is good solid okay but the
1:13:42 rabbit hole I'm gonna run down is I'm
1:13:43 gonna take Steve's little wait where's
1:13:45 oh Steve did his thing in in Show and
1:13:47 Tell didn't he
1:13:50 [Laughter]
1:13:55 all right let's
1:13:57 see go over
1:14:00 here copy image go to
1:14:03 photoshop did it work can we
1:14:12 launch come on
1:14:18 [Music]
1:14:28 oh wait did I have where's
1:14:31 Photoshop error reading machine
1:14:37 [Music]
1:14:46 preferences all right there's those
1:14:50 mascots so what we're going to do Jim
1:14:53 Ross is we're just going to do a little
1:14:55 up here wait where did I put three M
1:14:59 storage you have too many tabs open
1:15:01 that's why you can't find anything shut
1:15:05 up shut up all of you shut
1:15:08 up I'll figure it out here look see
1:15:12 figured it out I don't need your
1:15:15 judgment about my tab management
1:15:20 [Music]
1:15:22 strategies
1:15:24 new a
1:15:27 bang
1:15:28 oops a bang wait why did that not uh
1:15:34 because I didn't do
1:15:37 that
1:15:39 fine we're g to close that because we
1:15:41 don't need
1:15:43 that don't
1:15:47 save
1:15:49 new boom boom okay so there's there's
1:15:54 Jim Ross's little little website there
1:15:57 now watch what we're gonna do let's see
1:15:58 which one do we
1:16:00 want um I think this dude's friendlier I
1:16:04 think the the guard here this this is
1:16:06 like the dude that didn't pay his bill
1:16:08 so I think I think this one on the
1:16:10 left's the one all right so let's
1:16:18 go oh
1:16:23 oh uh
1:16:26 can I oh let's see
1:16:33 ratio I don't want a ratio I just want
1:16:36 nothing and
1:16:42 nothing D clear yeah there we go can I
1:16:47 yeah there we go
1:16:49 see what is he doing I thought this was
1:16:52 an AI Channel this just looks like an
1:16:54 old man trying to figure out
1:16:56 Photoshop I thought he was a
1:16:58 professional oh he's not a
1:17:05 [Music]
1:17:07 professional all right then we're gonna
1:17:09 get this we're gonna do this and then
1:17:10 we're gonna do
1:17:13 um we're gonna go in here and grab the
1:17:15 inside of this we grab the inside of
1:17:18 this we're grab the inside of
1:17:22 this and then we're going to invert all
1:17:25 that
1:17:27 inverse and then we're going to copy it
1:17:29 and then we're going go over here I'm
1:17:31 going to paste
1:17:32 it right no what did I do
1:17:37 wrong copy
1:17:41 here there
1:17:44 paste there we go
1:17:48 Jim look how cool that
1:17:54 is Dam
1:17:58 [Music]
1:18:01 [Laughter]
1:18:05 so let me get this straight someone else
1:18:08 in the community made some little logo
1:18:10 and we're watching you copy and paste it
1:18:13 onto a screenshot of a website is that
1:18:15 what I paid for yeah this is it this is
1:18:19 this is actually better than it gets
1:18:31 all right but no we're GNA do we're
1:18:33 gonna do something else to this mockup
1:18:36 damn it now that you're all making fun
1:18:38 of me for not doing it right this this
1:18:41 this wasn't what I signed up for I don't
1:18:43 think he's used any AI whatsoever it's
1:18:45 called the AI learning lab I didn't it's
1:18:47 not called the Photoshop
1:18:49 lab good lord it's not called the
1:18:52 mediocre production skills lab
1:18:57 uh I'm going to go to
1:19:01 ideogram you know you know what's
1:19:03 amazing about Jim Ross as as
1:19:06 ridiculously bad as what we're doing
1:19:08 here is what I know Jim Ross is doing
1:19:11 right now is doing making his own mascot
1:19:14 right now by the time like the clock
1:19:17 strikes midnight tonight Jim will have
1:19:19 probably like created a feature film
1:19:22 starring his his mascot and landed three
1:19:24 more clients if you don't know Jim you
1:19:27 should he's he's remarkable
1:19:30 okay
1:19:34 uh uh somebody had something pinned over
1:19:37 here LOL do it feels right in your heart
1:19:40 thank you Pate I keep coming here day
1:19:43 after day hoping for AI it's it is a
1:19:46 painful disappointment night after night
1:19:48 isn't it
1:19:50 Pate I actually not for nothing um one
1:19:54 of the things I'm excited to play with
1:19:57 on the channel is the Gemini live video
1:19:59 feature which is now out there so um I'm
1:20:02 G to be playing with it it was there's
1:20:04 just too much to [ __ ] talk about at
1:20:06 this point though um all right and
1:20:08 they've got some new feature I don't
1:20:10 know how to use now canvas beta good
1:20:13 Lord just oh I guess I have used it
1:20:15 haven't
1:20:19 [Music]
1:20:22 I what did I do okay
1:20:25 uh
1:20:26 Creations all right I going to make a
1:20:30 cartoon talk
1:20:35 bubble let's
1:20:41 see white with a black
1:20:45 outline and
1:20:48 interior
1:20:50 black
1:20:53 text that
1:20:59 says
1:21:01 um pay your
1:21:03 bill or lose your
1:21:07 crap exclamation point
1:21:25 all right pay your bill or lose your
1:21:29 crap um come on
1:21:32 render pay your bill or lose your crap
1:21:35 this is good okay good um which one do
1:21:38 we want to do here pay your bill or lose
1:21:40 your
1:21:41 crap I think we're gonna go with this
1:21:53 one I am so iling Jim's Jim's reputation
1:21:58 here um with Glee with
1:22:01 Glee all
1:22:05 right sh g g
1:22:09 g select
1:22:13 inverse you know there's a lot of
1:22:15 different ways you could do what you're
1:22:17 doing that wouldn't require as many
1:22:19 steps and it would look a lot better
1:22:21 you're not very professional are you T
1:22:28 [Music]
1:22:35 T Jim this is this is gonna be the best
1:22:39 site
1:22:49 ever oh this is so good it's so good
1:22:59 I think we can invade your little logo
1:23:01 there your logo your logo is not all
1:23:03 that important what's important is what
1:23:06 we're trying to the the behavior we're
1:23:08 trying to instill in our
1:23:10 customers don't be a [ __ ] Scofflaw at
1:23:13 the storage unit and you won't make it
1:23:15 to Storage
1:23:16 [Laughter]
1:23:22 Wars Jim Ross found my new slogan all
1:23:26 right we're gonna we're going to put
1:23:29 this I've got by the way um I do
1:23:32 freelance um web design on the side and
1:23:35 branding work um so please feel
1:23:38 free to uh drop me a line and I can do
1:23:42 the same for your
1:23:45 business you know what's actually funny
1:23:47 Jim this uh this would
1:23:51 probably this would probably get you
1:23:53 customers just being stupid like this
1:23:56 but you know I know you got a you got
1:23:58 you you got a A Place in the community
1:24:00 you
1:24:04 want okay here we go Irregulars
1:24:10 um I can't believe
1:24:14 that this is what at
1:24:20 Jim Ross
1:24:27 approved for his new
1:24:30 branding
1:24:32 but hell wait
1:24:37 hell the check
1:24:42 cleared good
1:24:44 luck
1:24:47 Jim Jim
1:24:50 paste oh come
1:24:53 on God damn
1:24:57 it export I actually have to I actually
1:25:01 have to do this like for real it's
1:25:04 [Laughter]
1:25:09 exhausting Jim's new site on the
1:25:16 [Music]
1:25:21 desktop where did I save that um
1:25:27 site I guess I didn't save it there did
1:25:30 I where did I save
1:25:35 it um export quick export is PNG Jim's
1:25:39 new site where's
1:25:46 this got it
1:25:48 [Music]
1:26:02 you know you try to do a stupid joke and
1:26:05 file formats are the thing that make it
1:26:07 not funny is th this is what we're
1:26:10 dealing with now people apparently yeah
1:26:13 apparently that is the thing we're
1:26:15 dealing
1:26:19 with wait oh that's not I want to open
1:26:22 something open
1:26:24 Jim's new site
1:26:28 export jpeg it doesn't have to be best
1:26:32 this is for
1:26:38 [Music]
1:26:41 [Laughter]
1:26:45 Jim open can we please upload now please
1:26:50 please okay
1:26:52 post God all that to bch someone's
1:26:56 [Laughter]
1:27:03 name I hate to break it to you Jim I
1:27:06 actually think that's a good we we
1:27:09 listen and we don't judge I actually
1:27:12 think that's a really good um
1:27:15 mascot
1:27:17 um I mean you could modify it you could
1:27:19 put a pad lock somewhere but he's got
1:27:21 the key I think that's actually pretty
1:27:23 good but okay
1:27:25 if I were G to approach this as a
1:27:28 professional you professional shut
1:27:34 up
1:27:37 okay Sora for Sydney mid Journey
1:27:40 Patchwork it's 9:25 okay here's what I
1:27:44 would
1:27:46 do I would start with um okay here
1:27:50 here's where I'd start I'd
1:27:52 go I run a company that helps people
1:27:58 manage their
1:28:00 self storage
1:28:03 businesses I
1:28:06 have um I have
1:28:10 uh a number
1:28:13 of books on the
1:28:18 topic and this is my web
1:28:23 site today
1:28:39 um I want you to learn
1:28:44 everything you can by reading
1:28:48 my website
1:28:55 and then help me come up with a
1:29:01 strategy
1:29:03 to create a
1:29:06 mascot all
1:29:08 right so just get chat GPT in the mood
1:29:12 Define your brand
1:29:14 identity the mascot should embody
1:29:17 professionalism trustworthiness and
1:29:20 approachability see I actually think
1:29:22 that that other that other one actually
1:29:23 does that I really do think that's a
1:29:26 really good
1:29:28 mascot nice nice work steo by the way
1:29:32 the voice would Eep Echo like a large
1:29:35 empty storage
1:29:37 building the skill
1:29:39 [Laughter]
1:29:42 is found my new
1:29:45 slogan oh man open AI could seriously
1:29:48 use your marketing
1:29:51 skills put your words here we'll make
1:29:53 more
1:29:56 11 labs for the voice yeah exactly
1:29:59 okay um by thoughtful okay that's good
1:30:02 okay so let's see
1:30:07 um
1:30:12 what are the
1:30:16 ad vantages of using a mascot
1:30:34 great based on what you
1:30:39 know
1:30:42 about my
1:30:46 business
1:30:51 what visual
1:30:57 style should I
1:31:03 use let's
1:31:07 see clean and
1:31:09 professional not overly cartoonish but
1:31:12 still approachable simple and memorable
1:31:14 color scheme stick to your brand
1:31:18 colors
1:31:21 um okay I want to create a
1:31:27 mascot that has
1:31:30 a
1:31:33 70s
1:31:40 television
1:31:42 for a
1:31:48 chest uh lamp shade for a
1:31:52 head and
1:31:57 discarded objects from a storage
1:32:07 locker four is peace
1:32:12 Parts uh let's see peie
1:32:16 Parts his name is
1:32:21 Miles get it for
1:32:25 Three Mile
1:32:29 Storage and yes you can make jokes with
1:32:32 your large language models there's no
1:32:34 reason you have to be so [ __ ] fancy
1:32:37 and professional act like a dumb dumb
1:32:40 you'll sometimes get better
1:32:42 answers
1:32:43 um let's see um I want you to create a
1:32:51 very specific design brief I can give to
1:32:58 an
1:33:03 artist and I want three
1:33:08 versions with
1:33:12 different
1:33:14 approaches let's see see what it does
1:33:17 all right design brief for for the
1:33:20 mascot Miles the mascot
1:33:26 television chest 70s boxy TV complete
1:33:29 with dials and rabbit ear antennas lamp
1:33:41 head okay let's just go grab some of
1:33:43 these so what I'm gonna do is I'm just
1:33:45 gonna hop over to Mid
1:33:48 journey and then I'm also going to go to
1:33:51 ideogram
1:33:54 and I'm just going to I'm literally just
1:33:55 going to pop it in and go and then I'm
1:33:58 going to go over to
1:34:00 ideogram and go to
1:34:03 create
1:34:08 go are we generating what are we doing
1:34:12 oh yeah okay that's going this should be
1:34:16 done yeah that's funny I can't get the
1:34:19 TV as a as a uh as his chest
1:34:25 I think we're gonna have to do TV as the
1:34:28 head so the idea Jim wanted which I
1:34:31 which I thought was kind of cool is he
1:34:33 wants to be able to put a video inside
1:34:35 the Little mascot all right so let's go
1:34:37 back to chat GPT we [ __ ] up let's
1:34:40 say
1:34:43 um okay we made a mistake period the TV
1:34:46 should be the mascot's
1:34:49 head and
1:34:54 the eyes should be above the
1:35:01 [Music]
1:35:07 screen and the rest of his body should
1:35:10 be comically mismatched
1:35:13 items as if he literally fell out of a
1:35:16 storage
1:35:21 unit all right that's off doing its
1:35:23 thing what was the question question I
1:35:24 had a question does it matter which
1:35:27 CRM you're
1:35:30 using when you import a or AI or does it
1:35:33 work for any
1:35:35 CRM I don't quite know what you want to
1:35:37 do with a CRM oops I don't know what you
1:35:40 want to do with a CRM but you can in
1:35:43 chat GPT because it's got code
1:35:45 interpreter you can input um CSV files
1:35:48 data files and output them and modify
1:35:51 them so you could bring a bunch of data
1:35:53 into chat gbt and have it export it so
1:35:57 that you could import it into a CRM and
1:35:59 I don't think it matters just use CSV as
1:36:02 your additional guidelines let's see
1:36:05 animated
1:36:07 Whimsy industrial scrap sheet let's
1:36:11 see okay our cartoonish exaggerated
1:36:15 design let's do this let's go back here
1:36:18 let's go to Mid Journey let's go here
1:36:20 we'll go like this we'll go like this go
1:36:22 to ideogram how are these do these suck
1:36:25 kind of cool let's go back in here
1:36:29 paste generate a new
1:36:37 [Music]
1:36:44 pile let's go back to chat GPT
1:36:50 say I think I'm being too controlling
1:36:53 period
1:36:55 I think you'd be better at coming up
1:36:57 with how to design a
1:37:01 mascot for Three Mile Storage period
1:37:04 give me three unique Concepts that
1:37:08 incorporate a video screen of some
1:37:13 sort and are friendly fun and memorable
1:37:17 and follow your creative
1:37:23 briefs miles the storage
1:37:26 buddy a lovable robot likee character
1:37:29 vintage meets
1:37:30 modern Vibe designed to look like it was
1:37:33 assembled from storage unit
1:37:36 Treasures store bought
1:37:41 3000
1:37:43 storebuy miles it's not starbot
1:37:51 3000 TV Ted the treasure finder
1:37:55 all right now what's nice about chat GPT
1:37:58 if you didn't know it you could say um
1:38:01 make
1:38:03 images
1:38:05 images of each of those
1:38:09 three let's go back to
1:38:12 ideogram and if you're like Kyle I can't
1:38:15 keep up with what you're doing what do
1:38:17 you have ADD yeah the answer is yes I do
1:38:20 have ADD but also this kind of
1:38:26 schizophrenic
1:38:28 like back and forth with different tools
1:38:31 is kind
1:38:33 of like if you want to if you want to
1:38:35 work fast and if you want to get a lot
1:38:36 of ideas this is kind of the way you do
1:38:39 it that one's kind of cute this one's
1:38:43 kind of cute
1:38:45 Jim he looks kind of dirty
1:38:59 I mean he's kind of clever this one he'd
1:39:02 be easy enough to 3D
1:39:05 model let's see
1:39:09 um what do we got over here an ideogram
1:39:14 storage
1:39:16 yeah what did chat GPT do did it come up
1:39:19 with anything
1:39:21 good oh it did like a little mood Bo
1:39:24 board yeah those are well so
1:39:27 these These are kind of cool CU they you
1:39:30 know they look like storage
1:39:36 doors wonder why I put the NBC logo
1:39:38 there that's pretty
1:39:41 funny um so let's close this let's go
1:39:45 um make a single image for each of the
1:39:52 three
1:39:54 Concepts you
1:40:02 created can't run a video if the S gets
1:40:04 knocked down make it elf storage
1:40:08 [Laughter]
1:40:14 easy why not create a GPT trained on his
1:40:17 website I think he's already done that
1:40:19 Michael
1:40:20 N Jim Ross is he's he's pretty Advanced
1:40:24 for for some of this stuff storage buddy
1:40:27 is kind of cool like this this one need
1:40:29 needs work but that's not a bad
1:40:33 idea I still think I still think what
1:40:35 steo did really
1:40:38 good I mean a cool idea is something
1:40:41 like this where it's it's like a TV and
1:40:44 he's always surrounded by boxes that's
1:40:46 kind of cool I don't know why he's got a
1:40:49 bat oh I know why he's got a bat hang on
1:41:00 I know why he's got a bat come to think
1:41:02 of
1:41:10 it oh this is good this is good it's
1:41:13 solid it's solid solid
1:41:17 solid oh let's see um select color range
1:41:34 see this is not gonna this not GNA work
1:41:36 out very well is
1:41:39 it go 20 and then go this is gonna suck
1:42:01 does Kyle know what he's doing no he
1:42:04 does
1:42:04 not oh I lost my whole h
1:42:28 he seems like he's a little
1:42:34 touched all right let's go back over
1:42:37 here this little son of a [ __ ] is way
1:42:40 too
1:42:41 friendly all right where's my layers
1:42:44 view
1:42:45 [Music]
1:42:47 where oh window
1:42:50 L
1:42:52 LS turn that [ __ ]
1:42:56 off put
1:42:57 [Laughter]
1:43:07 in this is solid this is solid Jim I
1:43:11 know listen you're probably really kind
1:43:14 of hoping that I could show you
1:43:17 something for how to run your business
1:43:19 no
1:43:22 [Music]
1:43:27 that's listen if you want if you want
1:43:30 professionalism you're gonna have to go
1:43:32 to one of the other Tik Tok influencers
1:43:34 that actually has some sort of
1:43:36 professional ethics that's not
1:43:39 [Laughter]
1:43:48 me oh God it's good it's good I like it
1:43:52 I like it
1:44:00 [Music]
1:44:04 general
1:44:18 image I don't know all right anyway
1:44:23 there you go Jim you're welcome we did
1:44:25 it junkyard Wars
1:44:28 version it's all fun in games until you
1:44:31 don't pay your bill you
1:44:34 loser um so yeah I mean that's what I
1:44:37 would do is just poping pop back and
1:44:39 forth between
1:44:41 tools you know I would say you could
1:44:43 also explore like there's all sorts of
1:44:46 things to do here the first thing is get
1:44:48 to a mascot that you want then there's
1:44:50 like how do you get it consistent maybe
1:44:52 this becomes a char character ref that
1:44:54 you use in mid Journey or something like
1:44:57 that or in one of the other tools um
1:45:00 maybe you use an image to 3D model
1:45:03 generator to actually create a 3D model
1:45:05 of this um so anyway I don't know I
1:45:09 don't know if that was helpful it was
1:45:11 certainly
1:45:14 fun steo I'm available to to chat
1:45:17 anytime steo is trying to get design
1:45:18 work on the side which is good because
1:45:20 Ste sto's mascot's way better than mine
1:45:25 that's actually really good
1:45:27 it's there's your mascot Jim I don't
1:45:30 know what we're messing around
1:45:32 with I think I think this is your
1:45:36 [Laughter]
1:45:40 mascot oh man YouTube Spotlight um Jim
1:45:44 Ross gonna break your legs if you don't
1:45:46 pay up yeah
1:45:51 exactly he looks disturbingly friendly
1:45:53 with a
1:45:57 bat oh good lord that was fun all right
1:46:04 um serious business games over
1:46:07 diabolical humor we don't do that
1:46:12 here professional it's Frank exactly
1:46:16 it's Frank this is Frank
1:46:19 [Laughter]
1:46:24 it's it's more disturbing because it
1:46:26 looks like you know toddler wooden
1:46:29 toys um all right I was gonna show you a
1:46:33 new thing from mid Journey called
1:46:34 Patchwork but I'm just going to do it
1:46:36 tomorrow there's there's too much to to
1:46:38 talk about so I'm gonna get out of here
1:46:42 um couple of
1:46:44 things tomorrow let me let me check my
1:46:48 my calendar I think I'm free
1:46:50 tomorrow Wednesday yeah here's ship Miss
1:46:54 so tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Pacific 11:00
1:47:00 a.m.
1:47:02 um Mountain Time 1 pm Eastern I'll
1:47:08 be I'll go live and stream day six of
1:47:11 the open AI you know 12 days of
1:47:14 launching [ __ ] again I think I think
1:47:17 tomorrow is probably not going to be
1:47:18 that big an announcement like the the
1:47:20 last two have been
1:47:21 minor um thir Thursday or Friday could
1:47:24 be a big one Friday probably
1:47:27 definitely um so so come in and and hang
1:47:31 out on that um please if you haven't
1:47:34 done it if if if you're curious about Ai
1:47:37 and if you don't have
1:47:39 community community is important on a
1:47:41 lot of levels a lot of levels I think
1:47:44 one of them is the future of your
1:47:47 employment
1:47:49 um being a part of a community where
1:47:51 you're a trusted contributing
1:47:53 member as all of our skills get
1:47:56 democratized we're going to stop hiring
1:47:59 people because they're good at
1:48:01 something and we're only gonna hire
1:48:03 people because we don't think they're
1:48:07 dicks right we like working with them we
1:48:11 know that they work hard we know that
1:48:12 they're conscientious we know that they
1:48:14 give a [ __ ] about the
1:48:15 output we're going to assume that
1:48:18 everyone can do all of the skills to
1:48:20 some level of proficiency because that's
1:48:22 just where the tool are
1:48:25 going and particularly right now if
1:48:27 you're someone who's curious about Ai
1:48:30 and the people around you aren't if
1:48:33 they're like
1:48:34 Jim oh my god with the AI we're so sick
1:48:38 of you talking about
1:48:41 AI you know if it's Jennifer and she's
1:48:44 like she's like um Jim yeah see we're um
1:48:51 just trying to enjoy ourselves it's like
1:48:53 TGI Friday night it's like it's it's
1:48:56 Thursday night ladies night at TGI
1:48:57 Fridays and you know it's like my
1:48:59 favorite time and it's like our favorite
1:49:01 place and I you know I got the the
1:49:04 bucket of margaritas coming and I got
1:49:05 the jalapeno poppers coming I just
1:49:07 thought I can't with the AI anymore I
1:49:10 don't like I don't want to be a
1:49:12 [ __ ] I don't want to be a [ __ ] but I
1:49:15 mean seriously like you're just making
1:49:18 it feel it's like heavy it's like
1:49:20 everything's heavy like have you heard
1:49:22 about chat gbt yeah we heard about it we
1:49:24 don't care I just want my jalapeno
1:49:26 poppers that's all I
1:49:29 want so if you've got people in your
1:49:32 life like that come hang out at the AI
1:49:39 Salon we won't talk to you like
1:49:42 that we'll call you a dumb dumb for
1:49:45 making a stupid mascot like I did
1:49:47 tonight but then along will come steo
1:49:50 and he's like oh I was just screwing
1:49:52 around my granddaughter was topping the
1:49:54 hearts and I decided to make a mascot
1:49:56 and here's one 10 times better than you
1:49:58 did and then you learn from that you
1:50:02 learn that you really aren't that good
1:50:03 at AI but steo is and next time you need
1:50:06 a mascot you know who you're
1:50:09 [Laughter]
1:50:15 calling okay tomorrow night if you're a
1:50:20 part of the AI
1:50:21 Salon the the
1:50:23 AI uh ethics Guild is having a meeting
1:50:27 as is the life hacks group
1:50:30 tomorrow so if you wanna if you want to
1:50:32 know cool stuff you can do with AI like
1:50:35 AI life
1:50:37 hacks you've seen those videos on Tik
1:50:40 Tok this AI tool is so powerful it
1:50:43 should be illegal you can make
1:50:48 money can can I just say that the you
1:50:52 could make money
1:50:54 has now been replaced on Tik Tok with
1:50:57 this AI Tool's so powerful it should be
1:51:02 illegal if any of you on this channel
1:51:05 have ever made a Tik Tock video that
1:51:07 starts with that [ __ ] hook you're
1:51:15 out I'm sure I got some influences in
1:51:17 here going [ __ ] busted he caught me
1:51:24 note to self Kyle's AI logo is better
1:51:27 done by steo
1:51:31 exactly this is what we learn here what
1:51:34 you learn here is what not to do I will
1:51:38 teach you
1:51:40 I will fall on the sword for you and
1:51:43 teach you how not to do it so you can go
1:51:45 out and go well I can do it better than
1:51:47 him exactly go do that
1:51:53 all right I'm getting out of here all
1:51:58 right you got a new headband you like my
1:52:01 headband I love my headband I apparently
1:52:04 don't wear it right I've been told that
1:52:07 I've been told by the ladies that uh
1:52:10 I've been
1:52:12 mansplained by the ladies that I don't
1:52:14 wear my pink bow correctly
1:52:18 but every headband I've ever worn goes
1:52:21 on the head
1:52:27 uh somebody wants wait let's see Pizza
1:52:30 later on Tik Tok wants to know my
1:52:31 thoughts on Sora okay here's my thoughts
1:52:35 on
1:52:37 Sora for March 2024 technology it's
1:52:41 [ __ ]
1:52:48 awesome for December 2024 technology
1:52:51 it's like where the [ __ ] were you six
1:52:53 months
1:52:54 ago I you know I would say I would say
1:52:57 the Chinese um right now the Chinese
1:53:01 equivalent of Sora is Halo's minia Max
1:53:06 um of of all of the other video tools
1:53:09 out there I would say minia Max is the
1:53:10 one that's closest to Sora in terms of
1:53:13 good physics um I'm a fan of luma lab's
1:53:18 dream machine I'm a fan of
1:53:20 Runway um p is pretty good but I haven't
1:53:24 heard much from them lately there's a
1:53:26 whole bunch of others like there there
1:53:28 are a lot of those tools right now the
1:53:30 problem with all of them including Sora
1:53:34 is they're really expensive if you're
1:53:36 paying 20 bucks a month you get to do
1:53:39 Sora here I can show it to
1:53:46 you this is
1:53:48 Sora um this was a little loon video we
1:53:52 did last night I mean it's nice if
1:53:54 you're paying 20 bucks a month you
1:53:55 cannot remove the watermark in the lower
1:53:57 right hand corner which I think is
1:53:59 Criminal if I'm paying for it it
1:54:01 shouldn't have your [ __ ] advertising
1:54:03 on it I should at least be able to turn
1:54:04 it
1:54:05 off um I get 50 Generations a month for
1:54:10 20 bucks a month if you've ever done
1:54:13 anything in video you can burn through
1:54:15 50 Generations trying to get a duck to
1:54:18 look like a duck like
1:54:20 it's it's it's nothing like
1:54:23 it's nothing so for 200 bucks a month
1:54:26 you get all the other [ __ ] with chat GPT
1:54:29 but you get 500 Generations a month and
1:54:32 unlimited slow
1:54:34 Generations um so 200 bucks a month it's
1:54:37 it's a reason to go to Pro but you know
1:54:44 whatever what they when they announc
1:54:47 this they're they're calling it Sora
1:54:50 turbo and they said in the announcement
1:54:53 that Sora turbo is Sora
1:54:56 1.0 um so they've already demoed in
1:55:00 France a week ago they demoed Sora 2.0
1:55:04 so Sora 2.0 is coming like it exists
1:55:07 it's coming and my my assumption will be
1:55:10 that 1.0 will go for free users and
1:55:14 higher limits for plus users and then
1:55:18 2.0 will probably go for pro users is my
1:55:21 guess um but it's listen it's good it's
1:55:24 quite good it's got all the jankiness of
1:55:28 of other models though like I did I did
1:55:30 a thing last night where I tried to get
1:55:32 it to make a Mustang uh being chased by
1:55:35 a motorcycle and then the motorcycle
1:55:37 crashing and this is what it gave me
1:55:40 qu if it comes a Transformer it's like
1:55:44 I'm a motorcycle okay I'm a
1:55:46 [Laughter]
1:55:49 car and and the car that pulls out in
1:55:52 front of it is going backwards
1:55:57 actually so you know it's awesome but
1:56:01 it's you know it's it's like all the
1:56:03 other AIS right now it's just this was
1:56:05 the very first video I did with it and
1:56:09 this actually impressed me the lights
1:56:11 really good the wheels are actually
1:56:12 rolling it actually turns to make the
1:56:15 turn it doesn't just pivot you
1:56:18 know it does slide a little weirdly like
1:56:21 the rear wheels kind of slide across the
1:56:24 the cement but you know it's pretty good
1:56:26 so I like it
1:56:29 okay um all these things are jankier
1:56:32 than [ __ ] right now that's just the deal
1:56:33 that is just the deal which one is that
1:56:36 this is
1:56:38 Sora sora.com the new open AI one all
1:56:43 right there are a few like cling oh the
1:56:45 Chinese one yeah so the okay here's
1:56:47 another thing if you go to if you're a
1:56:50 member of the AI salon and you you go to
1:56:53 show and tell and you go to video and
1:56:56 animation um first of all you can show
1:56:59 off your videos but also there's video
1:57:02 tools
1:57:04 tab that will tell you all the tools to
1:57:09 use Runway ml Halo Luma laabs clling
1:57:13 Pika Kaa then there's Avatar generation
1:57:17 and there's more and now there's Sora
1:57:18 like I Sora is not on here sora.com all
1:57:22 right
1:57:24 right there's Deco here makes video do I
1:57:28 have that in
1:57:29 here I don't think I do Deco here makes
1:57:32 video Korea makes video there's a bunch
1:57:34 of them
1:57:35 now all right I'm getting out the voice
1:57:40 is going I am I am I am honestly
1:57:44 overwhelmed I don't know where to I I
1:57:46 don't know where to begin I don't know
1:57:48 where to put my focus right now to just
1:57:50 keep up with what's being announced so
1:57:52 if you're feeling overwhelmed welcome to
1:57:55 the
1:57:57 club I guess this is what we'll do over
1:57:59 the the holiday break
1:58:01 right um all right looks like we're just
1:58:05 about hit 30,000 likes thank you for
1:58:07 that Becky Ru is overwhelmed I'm right
1:58:09 there with you Becky you know what Becky
1:58:11 it you know what funny one of the things
1:58:14 that I've heard from people in the past
1:58:16 month or so is people are kind of
1:58:19 returning to the gpts that they made
1:58:21 back in the earlier part of the year and
1:58:23 they're like oh these gpts are cool I
1:58:25 remember your your quilt making GPT like
1:58:28 a nice way to maybe un overwhelm
1:58:31 yourself is go back to your quilt GPT
1:58:33 and just make some cool images of quilts
1:58:35 and share them with the world right just
1:58:37 [ __ ] it don't learn don't learn any new
1:58:40 [ __ ] right now just go just go make some
1:58:42 quilts Danielle can go make her it's her
1:58:45 Christmas cookie
1:58:47 GPT um and go make some Christmas
1:58:49 cookies um Vicky can 3D print you the
1:58:52 molds that that you make out of
1:58:54 Danielle's cookie maker I mean maybe
1:58:57 maybe the time is now to go back let's
1:59:00 just let's just take a breather and stop
1:59:03 [Laughter]
1:59:08 innovating oh good lord I deleted my old
1:59:12 gpts I shouldn't
1:59:14 have oh I just made it I just made
1:59:17 another one last night for fun oh that's
1:59:19 awesome cool Dean Brody
1:59:21 nice all
1:59:24 right um I'm out of here what's today
1:59:27 today is Wednesday tomorrow's Thursday
1:59:29 it'll be same bat time 8 pm tomorrow
1:59:31 I'll be here um I think I'll figure out
1:59:34 during the day tomorrow a bit more what
1:59:36 to talk about and maybe
1:59:38 get understand how some of these things
1:59:40 work under my hands a bit more because
1:59:43 right now I'm just I'm just overwhelmed
1:59:45 so all right ciao everybody I'm gonna
1:59:47 turn you off on YouTube Tik Tock or no
1:59:51 YouTube X
1:59:53 and Linkedin peace peace out
