36. 7:55primarily the third one is go try ideogram if if you're not using ideogram if you're just using the chat gbt image generator it has been
37. 8:07outpaced by the 1.0 release of ideogram so if you go to id. a and then do it it's much better at text and then just keep trying to redo

47. 10:07ble he's been like a tech influencer dude for like four decades nice guy and he has all these lists that he's
48. 10:22been maintaining for years and he just updated them all in 2023 and he's been updating the AI ones I I'm actually on the AI uh CEO's list of
49. 10:33his um so go find his lists so that's that's a way and start following his lists
50. 10:49then find people whose names you've heard of in AI Sam Alman um Greg Brockman they run open AI um elas sger um Elon m not well Elon
51. 11:05Musk um Ethan mollik um find people who are smart about Ai and then on
52. 11:20Twitter I don't know if you know how to do this I just figured this out not that long ago on Twitter let's see if I
53. 11:33go Robert sco's not a good one let me go to
54. 11:58um so here's Ilia sger so you go to
55. 12:15them and then let's see so 365,000 people are following him he's following two people so go look at who he's following

57. 12:46corera almost a million people are following him he's following 862 so click on that and then just scroll down
58. 12:56through this list and generally you're going to find people with check marks and read their little bios like
59. 13:05deep learning Goole like if you're interested in AI art go find an AI artist follow who they're following you know find find people who
60. 13:15are you know into the thing so and then do and basically if you do that for I don't know a couple hours you know half an hour here half an
61. 13:28hour there just go find someone interesting let me see if we can find someone interesting here AI at
62. 13:42meta AI at meta is this I try to follow interesting people on LinkedIn I try to F follow interesting people
63. 13:57here and then I just pay attention to it like I wake up in the morning I'll flick through Twitter I'll flick through
64. 14:04Linkedin I'll go over to AI Salon see the news channel see if anyone's talking and generally within a given session within about 10
65. 14:14minutes there's one or two things that are being talked about in three different places at the AI salon
66. 14:23on on Twitter and on LinkedIn and the minute I see any kind of triangulation like that I'm like oh I think this is
67. 14:30big then I'll go read that story or or like dig into one of the posts or I'll see a post from Ethan mullik that's really
68. 14:41long and then Ethan mullik has one of two kinds of posts one of his posts is he's been working on a piece for like two weeks
69. 14:52and it's just a long ass piece and with my ADD I'm like H I'll get to that at some point point and then his other posts are holy

129. 27:10tutorial on that uh but I was answering bubbles how do you make money with chat GPT [Laughter] um I would love to see open AI as open
130. 27:27source you you and Elon elon's trying to sue for it and Sam's like but it's too powerful we can't just give it
131. 27:36out um I think it's complicated I actually don't think there's a there is a simple solution to to what they're fighting
132. 27:44over um here's the deal with with making money with chat GPT it's actually the wrong question and and I I don't mean it
133. 27:53like you're stupid if you ask this question it's a perfectly reasonable question to ask how do you make money with chat
134. 28:01GPT but but it there's no good answer to it because chat GPT is a tool and like any tool there's lots of
135. 28:12ways to use that tool and so how you make money with chat GPT is you figure out a problem that needs solving and then you figure out how to
136. 28:25use chat GPT to solve that problem so I'll give you a specific example I've got a company called storyvine we make
137. 28:41videos and the the technology allows our clients to have people self-produced videos with phones people record they answer some
138. 28:57questions on a phone it goes up to the cloud 5 minutes later you got a fully edited video super sexy but what you get
139. 29:03back is a video and then you either have a video strategy or not but what the video is of is is of someone's authentic story in our case we
140. 29:15do a lot of work in healthcare like maybe of a patient diagnosis Journey so there's lots of ways to tell that story one of the
141. 29:24ways you can tell that story is with video which is what our system does but you could also say watch that video of that story and write a
142. 29:34blog post about it or you could write some tweets about it or you could write a title in a YouTube description you
143. 29:41could write what are the key messages that were in that video so so what I said was wouldn't it be awesome and and in in
144. 29:52Pharma marketing they call that Omni Channel hey we're looking for Omni Channel content here Kyle I know you
145. 30:00don't understand what what your with your video tool there but uh we're trying to go Omni channel it's a it's
146. 30:06multiple channels it's uh communicating the same message in a lot of different places kind of getting personalized messaging out to the
147. 30:15masses so they want Omni Channel content so I thought there's a problem that maybe chat gbt can help solve and so I
148. 30:24started out with a zappier automation where I said hey if I take a transcript of a video and do some calls to open AI
149. 30:34I could probably take that transcript and turn that into a blog post or turn that into hashtags and I did it well
150. 30:45enough that I could take some outputs from that dumb little tool I made in zapier and I could stick them on a
151. 30:52PowerPoint slide I use keynote because I'm cool and I started showing clients hey look I've we've built this
152. 31:05tool where you can stick in a video here and get out Omni Channel content there and some of the clients were like that's a cool
153. 31:14tool and one of the clients was like how about we give you some money and you go build build the real version of
154. 31:24that and have it do some [ __ ] that we want it to do you could make money with and we went and built that tool and
155. 31:33you know what's cool now I got that tool I can sell to other people that's how we've grown Story vine is rather than
156. 31:41build a piece of technology and then try to get people to pay for it we get people to pay us to build the technology
157. 31:47that we know needs to get built so that's so so what you do is you don't say how do I make money with chat
158. 31:54GPT you say what's a problem that needs solving and can I solve it with AI can I solve it with image generation or can I
159. 32:02solve it with sunno the song song maker or can I solve it with code interpreter can I solve it with a zappier
160. 32:08Automation and if the answer is yes and you do it well and then you Market it well then people will give you money for it and
161. 32:20that's and that's just that's business 101 it's no different if if I said um How do you makeone with a shovel I don't
162. 32:31know you could dig ditches you could become a gardener you could sweep up road gravel if I said how do you make money with
163. 32:43Photoshop I don't know I mean right you start with the problem the problem is man there's a bunch of photographers out there that are really
164. 32:53shitty at at photo editing and that's not a good example now because AI does it all for us but it used to be you know when Photoshop first
165. 33:05came out how do you make money with Photoshop well you get good at it and then you tell people that don't want to
166. 33:09get good at it you'll do it for them for money and that became Fiverr right so that's it's not a sexy answer but it's an
167. 33:25answer some comments in the live filtered to protect the community's experience who's being a poopy head in here

174. 34:55AI I was seduced I was seduced by the promise of what I've always been
175. 35:12told computers were for here's what I mean for all of my life what computers are for is for making the work I do more
176. 35:33efficient right you know you type on a typewriter and Along Comes A word processor oh you can type words more efficiently in a
177. 35:46typewriter like page that you can scroll up and down and change words and copy and paste oo right but it's still me doing this just
178. 35:58more efficient and my whole life that's what computers have been is it takes the work I do and makes it more efficient and
179. 36:12so when chat GPT came out I was like oh a super efficient word maker thingy and so the first place that I
180. 36:26went was automations and it was what in the early days of chat GPT it was what everyone was talking about automation
181. 36:32it's about Automation and I was like I know how to use zaper I'm going to go make automations and I made content
182. 36:38producing tools and all sorts of cool [ __ ] and I was it was like automation I'm like this we're going to automate
183. 36:46it's we're going to automate it all and then and then I got [ __ ] bored cuz it's it's boring I mean it's fun
184. 37:02it's good to automate it's good to make the challenge but it was just taking the [ __ ] I was doing and making it more
185. 37:10efficient with with some minor exceptions and then when I got bored I started to really look at what this AI [ __ ] was what this AI
186. 37:25stuff was all about and it was like the the G in GPT was like a a lighthouse Beacon it was calling to me look here look here the
187. 37:39G if you don't know GPT stands for generative pre-trained Transformer Transformer is just the technology that
188. 37:47Google invented pre-trained means they filled it full of as much internet as they could so it's smart and the g generative
189. 37:59generative it's not just making what we do more efficient it's actually creating wholly new content that is a complete massive
190. 38:16like split down the middle of the time before and the time after the time before we use computers to make the work we do more
191. 38:28efficient but we Remain the cogs in the shitty wheel the G says I as a computer powered with this GPT
192. 38:45[ __ ] I'm going to be your partner and I'm actually going to amplify you the human I'm actually going to amplify and extend and
193. 38:59expand what you're capable of and I'm going to do it overnight so you're going to go from maybe being a mediocre writer to being a
194. 39:09really good writer you're going to be go go from being a completely shitty artist to being a brilliant one you're going to
195. 39:17go from not being able to carry a tune to being able to write a Broadway musical overnight that ain't efficiency that's not about
196. 39:33efficiency that's that's like a liberating Force for Humanity that's what this Channel's about that's what the AI salon's about that's crazy
197. 39:52right and if you're like well isn't it just that you put in a thing and words come out yep but it it ain't it's
198. 40:02not computers with generative AI are not serving the same role as they've served for all of my
199. 40:19life I don't know what to do with that well I do I'm [ __ ] talking about it I'm screaming it from rooftops that's what I'm choosing to do
200. 40:30about it because like I heard I heard a lot of it tonight at the at the as Salon meeting the the inperson
201. 40:40meeting there was like there was a lot of talk about how AI is going to take jobs and it is like yes but it was all the people were
202. 40:52talking about was like the downside of it I'm like but there's this whole other side of it like we were talking about
203. 40:59the the film making business and how you know Tyler Perry you know canel his 800 million dollar Studio project and you
204. 41:07know well so those jobs are gone right but that means that there's going to be other people who've never made
205. 41:19films before who are now going to get to make films and there there going to be some of those people that make remarkable
206. 41:29[ __ ] films that have never made films before that's that's that's different something's very very different holy new content Batman

211. 42:37the one or two of the automations that I've built in zap year so I built a tool that's integrated into my into my company's
212. 42:47platform that I essentially prototyped in in zapier but but I don't know I never seen more
213. 43:02people more excited than I do people who have discovered Ai and they're not excited like ooh this
214. 43:17technology is cool I mean they're excited like holy [ __ ] this technology is [ __ ] face melting but what they're excited about
215. 43:27Kelly Camp Source camp in here was the first one that said this and cuz I I said in some meeting at some point I I
216. 43:37felt like I was in my 20s again like I felt like like my creative spark had been ignited and that that was kind of
217. 43:47what I had in my head like I'm as excited as I was in my 20s and Kelly got on a one of one of the I don't know
218. 43:55meetings we were having and she said I think someone asked someone said what's the thing in AI that you're most excited
219. 44:07about and Kelly said something like I have the energy and optimism of the seven-year-old
220. 44:23me it was it was something like that but but but it was like a seven-year-old like I have a seven-year-olds optimism and energy and
221. 44:33excitement and the minute she said it I'm like that's what it is it's not like I I'm as creative as I was in my 20s
222. 44:41because in my 20s I was already kind of ground down right you're already sort of living your best shameful life right you
223. 44:48already don't believe in yourself cuz you've been smashed into the ground but when you're seven you got it together enough to kind
224. 44:57kind of know all right I got I got some things going on here I'm got to do some things in this world yeah man I'm going
225. 45:04to collect baseball cards and I'm going to do this and I'm going to go out there and that car is cool and maybe I learn
226. 45:09to go fishing just everything's possibility and that's what I'm seeing with in in in this community and in the AI
227. 45:21Salon very very consistently and it's it's what's really cool is cuz I'm an old cuz I'm an old fart I've attracted a bunch of other gen
228. 45:32xers and so like there's this whole pile of gen xers in this community now that have this Spirit of like seven and
229. 45:41eighty olds like running around going holy [ __ ] look what we get to do that's [ __ ] magical it's

233. 46:31that AI does that really good but like what if you've been an illustrator all your life and you're like the most talented [ __ ]
234. 46:44illustrator but what you've always wanted to do was code and make applications I know it's going to sound
235. 46:52weird right cuz cuz you know Engineers are probably going like I wish I had some talent I could make pretty
236. 47:00pictures but but people are going sort of both directions and so people are discovering like this this simmering
237. 47:12passion that they thought was dead and what these tools are doing is kind of saying oh you wanted to be a
238. 47:19coder here here's a bunch of code why don't you go try to run that oh [ __ ] let me go try to run that or here's this thing called
239. 47:30gpts which creates an incredibly sophisticated application that you can share with the world and you don't have to program at
240. 47:39all oh okay I guess I'm an application developer right now it's funny I I was I one of the guys at the at the salon tonight was a
241. 47:51hardcore like low-level developer not not low-level like lesser than just like you know low in the stack and I said he goes what's going on
242. 48:02in the community I said I said it's a community full of people I I said we've got non-programmers in here doing
243. 48:12application development and he goes well no they can't and I said no they are he goes well no they how they
244. 48:21can't without coding I said no they can I said they're making GP pts and he didn't he could not accept that someone making a GPT was a
245. 48:39developer and I think I think that's going to [ __ ] up a lot of people cuz they're going to have their definition of what programming was
246. 48:51they're going to have their definition of what film making was they're going to have their definition of what
