Description

In a lively broadcast hosted by Kyle Shannon, also known as KY, the session opened with a call for engagement on AI Readiness, highlighting a newly launched program. He humorously integrated music and playful banter, addressing viewers and aiming to make the often intimidating realm of artificial intelligence more accessible and inviting. The session included discussions about the rapid evolution of AI, the importance of community in navigating this landscape, and various tools and programs that can assist newcomers in understanding and utilizing AI technologies effectively. Throughout the episode, Kyle encouraged viewers to experiment with AI tools, share experiences, and stay informed about developments in the AI space. The conversation also featured amusing anecdotes and audience interactions, with Kyle blending entertainment and education. Moreover, he emphasized the need for collaboration in an increasingly AI-driven future and invited the audience to register for AI readiness updates through the newly established website, underscoring the theme of preparedness in a changing work environment. 9:41 know this is what it's like living in a
9:43 world of exponential growth people we
9:47 don't know what to
9:48 do we are linear
9:50 creatures Evolution takes millions of
9:53 years not three weeks

12:15 progressions so
12:17 [Music]
12:24 beautiful all right what do you want to
12:27 do tonight what do you want to do
12:28 tonight it's Thursday
12:30 tomorrow is Friday that comes right
12:32 after Thursday yesterday was Wednesday
12:34 we could review the days of the week we
12:36 could go into chat GPT check out the
12:39 mythological entomological origins of
12:42 the words of the days of the week we'll
12:44 probably find out that there's not
12:45 supposed to be seven days in a week
12:47 there's supposed to be eight but someone
12:48 [ __ ] up there was a clerical error in
12:51 6254 BC and that's why we have seven
12:55 days now and everything's [ __ ] up and
12:57 we have a leap year like we could well
12:59 do whatever you want to do I'm that what
13:01 I'm saying is I'm happy to go
13:05 there but you know I don't want to go
13:08 through life bitter about the names of
13:10 the days of the week I don't I don't but
13:14 for you I'll do
13:15 it bot
13:18 Creations make a song that sounds like
13:23 that archetypal architect I'm writing a
13:26 cookbook this week you know this this is
13:28 one of my favorite things about the era
13:30 that we're in right
13:32 now wait let me me throw this out there
13:35 I'm writing a cookbook this week I just
13:37 got a note
13:39 from um Alan
13:42 hbec let's see what did he say Hills
13:45 Hills Hills back uh all AI
13:51 Professor he said let's
13:55 see
13:57 um in the meantime I'm completing the
13:59 manuscript for my third book since
14:06 November I'm in my spare time working on
14:09 a Broadway musical which by the way we
14:11 have space booked we have actors cast
14:14 for for our first reading we're going to
14:16 do our first reading on
14:19 [Music]
14:26 uh on uh February first or second I
14:30 think I just realized I've booked two
14:33 February 1
14:36 launches welcome to
14:39 add uh let's see juwel Jules live laugh
14:44 love the days of the week set set him
14:47 off we're in for a fun night no no they
14:50 didn't set me off just if we go find out
14:53 that they're not the right days that
14:55 would set me off no I am not set off I
14:57 am I am anything but set off I am I am I
15:01 am I am centered I am one with with the
15:05 universe with our community everything
15:08 is
15:10 solid just you know let's not find out
15:14 that we've got a whole situation I I
15:16 already know that we're supposed to go
15:17 to 13 months out of the year not
15:20 [Music]
15:22 12 it's like that Nate barazi have you
15:25 seen the SNL skit where Nate barazi
15:27 plays uh George Washington and they're
15:30 asking him about all the units of
15:32 measure and everything's all [ __ ] up I
15:34 just feel like you know like it was all
15:36 just made up we're living in a system
15:39 that just some someone made some [ __ ] up
15:41 a bunch of years ago and not like I
15:43 don't want to change because I'm a kinly
15:45 gen xer I'm tired I'm
15:49 [Laughter]
15:53 tired
15:54 ah I keep seeing AI that looks real
15:58 which program are they using [ __ ] all
16:00 of them they're all getting good
16:07 um um if you're talking about image
16:11 generation if it's got a more of an
16:13 artistic flare it's probably mid Journey
16:16 if it's like really super
16:18 photographically accurate um that's
16:21 probably um flux there's a an open-
16:24 Source model called flux that's built
16:26 into a bunch of things right now
16:29 um and it it's it's pretty good but
16:32 they're they're all getting quite good
16:33 the only one that hasn't really improved
16:35 in a while is Dolly um within chat GPT
16:39 um but but um Kelly Bosch gets amazing
16:43 results out of
16:45 it amazing
16:47 [Music]
16:50 results lunar stick I updated an old
16:52 play and want to pitch it to open AI
16:55 Sora as immersive theatrical experience
16:58 that's super cool you should tag um
17:00 lunatick you should
17:03 tag um Robert
17:07 scoel um on X he's got like I don't know
17:11 half a million followers million
17:12 followers something like that he's he's
17:14 been a tech dude for years um and he's
17:17 all about the Hol deck he's all about
17:19 you know immersive experiences so I
17:22 think that's a good idea Vicky Baptist
17:24 reminding you if you're on YouTube
17:26 subscribe and smash the like button um
17:29 the Thumbs Up Button if you haven't
17:31 subscribed to YouTube um that shouldn't
17:35 matter to you but it matters to me
17:37 because I'm trying to get to a thousand
17:38 subscribers so if you're on YouTube and
17:41 you haven't subscribed just do me a
17:42 favor subscribe you can unsubscribe a
17:44 month from now and you realize that I've
17:46 disappointed you and that's fine it's
17:49 fine but just for now just can I get my
17:51 numbers up to a thousand all right
17:55 thanks uh Robert scoble scobleizer is
17:59 his is is his
18:01 Twitter is his Twitter thing follow him
18:03 he posts a lot on uh holidex stuff and I
18:07 think if you did something specifically
18:10 for that and maybe even DM him you can
18:12 tell him you know me I know him decently
18:14 well not super well
18:18 but
18:20 [Music]
18:24 ah I just made my first Sora it's not as
18:27 hard as I thought to make 45 second
18:30 video I know Jamie Schwarz okay people
18:34 here's what this okay listen here's the
18:38 deal there is
18:41 a there is an understanding of AI out
18:44 there for people that are not diving
18:47 feet feet first into
18:50 AI that AI is really hard and that AI
18:55 requires uh thinky smarts and like PhD
19:00 and Mathematics degrees and engineering
19:02 degrees it doesn't that was the old AI
19:05 like two years ago that was
19:08 Ai and it all changed when when chat GPT
19:12 came out and now we can just talk our
19:14 words we can use our us liberal arts
19:17 Majors I have a [ __ ] acting degree
19:19 and I got an AI
19:21 Channel you know we know you're not
19:23 qualified you big dumb dumb and you're
19:26 old and you're
19:28 fat um
19:32 um the trolls the trolls are ruthless
19:35 they they talk about my nose hairs the
19:38 the ear ear hairs uh they tell me I look
19:42 like Rosie odonnell on a bad day it's
19:44 just it's not good it's not good um
19:48 anyway all of that
19:50 aside this AI stuff once you start
19:53 playing with it and that is my fullon
19:55 recommendation is just play don't feel
19:58 like you got to learn it um The Learning
20:01 the learning will come and quite frankly
20:03 the
20:04 learning the learning is getting less
20:08 important as AI gets better and as AI
20:12 agents show up on the scene which is
20:14 probably going to be in the next three
20:17 months it's going to start doing stuff
20:19 for
20:21 us so all we're going to have to do is
20:23 kind of push it along
20:26 [Music]
20:30 cam katkin I use a VR program called
20:32 medical holc for teaching anatomy and
20:35 physiology oh that's super
20:37 cool the rosie comments are unfair I
20:41 know it's it's so mean to Rosie isn't it
20:43 it's so
20:54 mean I got Philip Seymour Hoffman for a
20:57 while I haven't gotten that in a while
20:58 though
20:59 [Music]
21:04 I've gotten Tom Arnold fat Alec Baldwin
21:07 Tom Arnold Rosie o' donnal on a bad
21:10 [Laughter]
21:11 [Music]
21:15 [Laughter]
21:21 day oh good lord we have fun here
21:27 [Music]
21:32 um so one thing you should check out if
21:35 you have not let me see where are we
21:38 gonna do oh I'll do it over
21:42 here so a lot of people have joined the
21:46 AI Salon in the
21:48 past
21:50 um in the past week or so because we had
21:54 this AI Festivus
21:56 event and um
22:00 we had a lot of people join and it's
22:03 it's very vibrant in there right now so
22:05 if you're not in the AI Salon one of the
22:07 things I strongly recommend right now
22:10 and and I don't this I don't think is
22:12 going away is get your ass in an AI
22:16 Community like like soon like Ann
22:19 Murphy's got this thing called she leads
22:21 AI there's Rachel Woods has her AI
22:24 exchange there's the AI
22:26 Salon um
22:30 the importance of AI Community right now
22:32 is everything's moving so fast and
22:34 everything is about like the definition
22:37 of work is about to change like what it
22:41 means to work now now when I say is
22:43 about to change it's not like it's
22:45 happening
22:46 tomorrow but over the next three years
22:49 what we consider work and how you do it
22:51 how much time you put into it and and
22:54 what you do and how you do it all of
22:56 that sort of stuff is going to be thrown
22:58 up in the air
23:00 and for people that are not connected to
23:03 other people trying to figure this out
23:05 it's going to be I think it's going to
23:06 be very
23:08 disorienting and I think that the
23:10 way that we will all continue working is
23:15 by supporting one another as things
23:17 change and and you know someone off in
23:20 one corner figures it out and all of a
23:22 sudden spins up a business that none of
23:24 us could have anticipated and they need
23:26 to hire people who are they going to
23:28 hire they're going to hire people that
23:29 they know are in the game right so I
23:33 think being in community is is a
23:39 A plus it's also so much better to learn
23:42 amongst people that are into it and
23:45 figuring it out
23:50 too open AI has a cookbook it tells you
23:53 how to do so much oh that's
23:57 cool is it a prompt cookbook open AI
24:03 cookbook open AI
24:08 cookbook cookbook.
24:14 openai new
24:16 apis oh these are apis is this all
24:20 apis how to stream completions oh yeah
24:23 this is for developers cool all right
24:26 there's your API documentation
24:29 and if you're if you're afraid of apis
24:31 and programming and [ __ ] like that start
24:33 playing around with it start asking chat
24:35 GPT to teach you how to do it um it's
24:38 it's pretty remarkable what what you can
24:40 do with with all this
24:42 stuff um okay let me show you another
24:45 cool thing so Brandon met with the CEO
24:48 of this company called jelly pod so if
24:51 you go to the AI
24:55 salon and in if you go okay at the very
25:00 top of AI salon on the left hand
25:03 side you've got our kind of seven-step
25:06 Welcome process that's also got the AI
25:08 Festivus space in there so if you miss
25:11 the event if you go to the resource list
25:14 there's all the videos you can actually
25:16 see all the
25:17 videos um that content is what we're
25:20 going to use to create this certificate
25:22 of AI
25:23 Readiness
25:25 um so you can do that but if you scroll
25:28 down to the news area latest news and go
25:31 into AI nons Salon events and
25:38 self-promotion Jason Alfani it looks
25:42 like his name
25:43 is um is uh has has offered us
25:49 salers early access to jelly pod and
25:52 what jelly pot is is it's kind of like
25:54 notebook LM where you can make a podcast
25:57 about some data
25:59 uh but you can choose your own voices
26:01 and things like that so if you want to
26:03 go try a new piece of
26:06 technology it looks pretty slick let me
26:08 see did I get into it here somewhere I
26:10 think I did
26:13 yeah so you can add hosts let me see how
26:16 do you move and create a new
26:25 host how do you create a new host let's
26:28 see what this looks
26:30 like you can do voice cloning magic
26:33 voice
26:35 designer creative
26:40 voice oh you got to provide name and
26:42 back story oh cool you give it a name
26:43 you give it a backstory and little
26:44 design of voice very cool professional
26:47 voice you can just choose from
26:55 these right cool so it looks like looks
26:58 like they're using some some pieces of
27:01 11 Labs here and they've put together
27:03 this podcast maker so so go check that
27:06 out go check it
27:08 out it's pretty Swale pretty
27:11 SW
27:18 pepples all right who's got questions
27:23 questions thoughts
27:26 comments New Year what are you all
27:28 thinking about yeah thank you Brandon
27:30 for um having that
27:32 conversation and making this stuff all
27:35 available for all of
27:38 us what's everyone thinking about 2025
27:41 just coming in what's that podcast
27:46 on oh what's that podcast AI jelly pod.
27:50 a
27:56 [Music]
27:59 when is Gemini 2 coming out I don't know
28:02 whenever uh grock 3 was supposed to come
28:05 out in
28:07 December a bunch of people are bitching
28:09 about grock 3 not coming out in December
28:12 but I also remember them saying that it
28:15 would be December or sometime in the
28:17 early early in the new year so I don't
28:19 know why everyone's
28:23 whining why does my chat GPT still have
28:25 Santa Claus voice you can change that so
28:29 if you want to know how to change your
28:31 um Santa
28:36 voice you go into I'm gonna have to do a
28:40 new a new chat you go into your advanced
28:43 voice in the lower right hand
28:45 corner and then in the upper
28:48 left click there and then you can switch
28:51 between your voices
28:52 [Music]
28:55 oops can you see that hey how's it going
28:58 hey it's H ho ho happy
29:04 holidays hey Santa what's
29:10 happening hello there it's a lovely day
29:14 here at Santa's Village South how are

53:55 power cars it's made from petroleum
53:58 which is a liquid that is found

55:54 trash a politician's reputation they
55:57 just do what they're going to do doesn't
55:58 [ __ ] matter

1:01:18 uh okay you know what we're gonna do
1:01:20 we'll do that we'll do it like this okay
1:01:23 let's see
1:01:27 um chat GPT can search so you can see
1:01:29 right okay so I'm on chat GPT um go find
1:01:34 me the
1:01:37 uppcc
1:01:39 certification
1:01:43 guide beautiful offers a
1:01:48 comprehensive um I want to make this
1:01:54 guide much more
1:01:57 user
1:01:58 friendly and easy to understand I want
1:02:03 [Music]
1:02:06 you I'm just going to say you
1:02:08 are you are a
1:02:13 master
1:02:16 at
1:02:19 simplifying the
1:02:23 complex and breaking things
1:02:28 into
1:02:30 logical
1:02:35 sections that will be
1:02:42 more
1:02:46 um
1:02:50 understandable before I have you make
1:02:54 any changes
1:02:56 I want you to
1:03:01 analyze the document you
1:03:05 found and come up
1:03:08 with a
1:03:12 plan for how to improve what's
1:03:20 there let's just start there
1:03:26 all right to enhance the we'd simplify
1:03:28 the language we' okay so I'm going to
1:03:31 say um whatever like I'm sure those are
1:03:34 all good things I'm going to say give
1:03:38 me three examples for
1:03:42 each Improvement
1:03:47 type so I can um
1:03:53 understand exactly what you mean now why
1:03:58 I'm doing this is okay chat GPT if you
1:04:03 just say to
1:04:04 it make this guide more simple it will
1:04:08 or if you say make it more organized it
1:04:10 will but if you tell it to like talk you
1:04:13 through its thinking essentially and
1:04:16 then use examples what you're doing is
1:04:18 you're giving it lots of context so that
1:04:21 you can feedback to it yes you're on the
1:04:24 right track or no you're not on the
1:04:25 right track
1:04:27 um okay so let's see what it came up
1:04:29 with here simplify the language before
1:04:32 candidates must de demonstrate the
1:04:34 requisite competency to deem to be
1:04:37 deemed eligible after candidates must
1:04:40 show the necessary skills to qualify
1:04:42 great before utilize the provided
1:04:45 documentation to facilitate your
1:04:47 application process I can see why you
1:04:49 wanted to do work on this after use the
1:04:52 provided documents to help right okay
1:04:54 good uh re organize the content the
1:04:57 current
1:04:58 structure eligibility criteria is
1:05:00 scattered throughout the document
1:05:01 improve structure consolidate it okay so
1:05:04 I'm gonna say
1:05:06 great um now make a
1:05:10 down
1:05:15 downloadable
1:05:17 text let's do a Word document
1:05:20 downloadable Word
1:05:23 document that is well
1:05:27 formatted and easy to
1:05:31 read that
1:05:35 incorporates all of
1:05:38 your
1:05:41 suggestions and now what chat GPT should
1:05:45 do so it says you can download the
1:05:47 improved guide here file not found yeah
1:05:49 had a feeling that looked too
1:05:53 fast no uh
1:05:57 you didn't do
1:05:59 anything so first show me the new text
1:06:05 here searching the web
1:06:10 apologies all right there's your table
1:06:12 of
1:06:14 contents oh you know what we're going to
1:06:16 go we're going to throw this into what's
1:06:18 called a canvas so I'm going to go
1:06:21 canvas um on second thought make the
1:06:27 document a
1:06:39 canvas so what a canvas is is I've got
1:06:43 my chat over here on the left and this
1:06:45 is now an editable document over here on
1:06:48 the
1:06:49 right Universal public procurement
1:06:51 certification council certification
1:06:53 guide your comprehensive guide so let's
1:06:57 let's this thing's still rewriting
1:07:02 it now again this might not be the
1:07:05 actual document so you
1:07:08 know just just go with me here the the
1:07:10 the ba the the idea is basically the
1:07:12 same let's do this we're going to grab
1:07:14 the title here and we're going to go you
1:07:17 can say ask chat GPT to just work on the
1:07:19 title make this more
1:07:23 concise use the acronym
1:07:27 and make it
1:07:34 memorable up certification guide your
1:07:37 comprehensive resource for
1:07:39 achieving
1:07:41 um seems too formal
1:07:49 still your go-to guide for cppo and cppb
1:07:53 success woohoo
1:07:55 [Laughter]
1:08:00 Esther Lake if you have the $20
1:08:01 subscription you have canvas um so
1:08:05 whoever told you chat BT can do this
1:08:07 they're absolutely right Claude could
1:08:09 also do this Gemini could also do this a
1:08:11 lot of the tools right now could do this
1:08:13 the important thing about this
1:08:16 is really more important than anything
1:08:19 is just start
1:08:21 experimenting one of the things I'm most
1:08:24 impressed with with large language
1:08:26 models is not writing original content
1:08:29 there it can be hit or miss but when
1:08:31 you're analyzing documents it tends to
1:08:34 do really good um so anyway I can go in
1:08:37 one of the cool things about canvas is I
1:08:39 can go in here and let's see
1:08:42 um I can just say for this whole thing
1:08:45 um I can say suggest edits for one but I
1:08:49 can also say let's make this a little
1:08:51 bit longer and now it's going to go
1:08:54 rewrite the whole thing and make it a
1:08:55 bit more
1:08:57 wordy which I assume you want to go the
1:09:00 other direction with
1:09:11 that since 1978 we've championed
1:09:14 professionalism with global globally
1:09:17 respected certifications whether you're
1:09:18 aiming to for leadership with cppo or
1:09:21 mastering core functions through cppb
1:09:24 upcc sets the
1:09:27 Benchmark all right so that's going
1:09:29 through and rewriting
1:09:40 everything dedicated hel
1:09:43 line now what I can probably
1:09:48 do this is awesome and what I'm looking
1:09:50 for that's great so what I'm going to do
1:09:52 is I'm going to give you this
1:09:56 I think I should be able to share this
1:09:58 create a
1:10:00 link images and files make this chat
1:10:04 discoverable copy the
1:10:06 link okay so Esther Lake I'm gonna go
1:10:11 into the AI
1:10:14 salon so you have to join the AI salon
1:10:16 so go to the salon. click on join our
1:10:19 community and then go join it and then I
1:10:22 want you to scroll down on the left hand
1:10:24 side here go all the way down to to an
1:10:26 area called Community clubs and there's
1:10:29 Irregulars that's this Channel's we have
1:10:31 our own little private
1:10:34 Clubhouse um and then I'm gonna say for
1:10:37 Esther
1:10:41 Lake we'll use this as our personal
1:10:44 little bulletin board um here is the
1:10:47 chat
1:10:50 I did on the
1:10:53 live feel free to use edit or laugh at
1:11:00 how
1:11:02 bad I
1:11:08 talk there you
1:11:11 go it's all yours let's let's not notify
1:11:15 everyone in the uh in the salon about
1:11:18 Esther and my little secret document
1:11:20 exchange
1:11:23 here all right I hope that helps
1:11:27 basically the the the sort of irr
1:11:30 irreverent way that I attack AI stuff is
1:11:34 generally how I attack AI stuff in my
1:11:36 real life as well when I'm not being
1:11:39 entertaining is just like just try stuff
1:11:43 just try stuff better cross check
1:11:45 against the original yeah that's that's
1:11:47 the other thing Esther one of and I
1:11:49 assume you will right if you're looking
1:11:51 at this document and you're saying I
1:11:52 want to improve this document you
1:11:54 probably know what's in the old one one
1:11:57 of the really important things about
1:11:59 chat GPT and all large language models
1:12:02 they do what's called hallucinating so
1:12:04 at first glance it may give you
1:12:05 something that looks perfect but then
1:12:07 when you go line by line you're like oh
1:12:09 wait a minute that's not what we do you
1:12:10 know so just go through and make sure
1:12:12 that you check it and proof read it and
1:12:13 all sorts of stuff like that but for
1:12:16 basic blocking and tackling of of
1:12:18 reorganizing and doing things like
1:12:20 finding you know hey your certification
1:12:22 requirements are scattered throughout
1:12:24 the document like gets good at that
1:12:26 stuff so good point from Vicky though
1:12:29 like check your work don't be like that
1:12:32 lawyer that that wrote a a legal brief
1:12:34 and handed it to a judge and all of this
1:12:37 the cases that the that the piece cited
1:12:40 didn't
1:12:42 exist and the judge was like uh what's
1:12:46 going on here there Buckaroo speaking of
1:12:48 Buckaroo let's go see if Bucky mclin's
1:12:50 available to talk under review dang it
1:12:54 all right
1:12:57 um there you go that's chat je the other
1:13:01 thing you could do um let me create a
1:13:03 new thing here I'm gonna say um
1:13:09 go let's see go
1:13:12 find um a good
1:13:17 description of
1:13:20 what U ppcc does is that it
1:13:28 upcc yes yes yes okay
1:13:32 great okay so here's what we're g to do
1:13:34 we're gonna go um
1:13:37 awesome
1:13:39 um write a creative
1:13:46 brief for a series of
1:13:50 images that
1:13:53 bring this important work to
1:13:59 life in a humorous
1:14:02 way give
1:14:05 me uh let's see uh make sure the
1:14:13 brief is on
1:14:16 brand and accurate uh whatever the hell
1:14:19 that means I don't know what that means
1:14:21 start pin from Tick Tock hang on one
1:14:24 second or from
1:14:26 YouTube ocean how can we keep AI
1:14:29 development Safety and Security on place
1:14:32 I mean someone make a website and charge
1:14:36 with someone else's
1:14:38 identity okay well
1:14:43 um we're about to find
1:14:46 out I don't know like I don't there's
1:14:49 not a good answer to that right so you
1:14:51 just saw how quickly I made a little a
1:14:53 joke character of myself and I think
1:14:55 what you're saying is like how do we
1:14:57 know that someone's actually who they
1:14:58 say they
1:14:59 are this is one of the reasons I don't
1:15:02 know if you remember but
1:15:03 about year and a half ago year and four
1:15:06 months ago um I went to New York City
1:15:09 and I got my eye scanned from from open
1:15:13 ai's uh World coin their their world ID
1:15:15 so I have I have a digital ID called
1:15:17 World ID the purpose of that ID is to
1:15:21 verify my unique
1:15:24 humanness so I now have a blockchain
1:15:28 thing ID that if someone decided to
1:15:32 build say a Facebook or a Twitter where
1:15:37 you didn't want any Bots and you just
1:15:39 wanted it to be human beings unique
1:15:41 human beings you could do that but you
1:15:43 need something like blockchain some sort
1:15:45 of tokenizer to verify human's identity
1:15:49 I think it's going to become really
1:15:50 important in the next three years maybe
1:15:52 in the next year
1:15:59 [Music]
1:16:07 um don't I feel embarrassed making
1:16:09 cringe faces for Linked In most like Ai
1:16:13 and the holy crap of work why would you
1:16:15 scan your eye voluntarily that's such a
1:16:18 bad idea um because I think I think it's
1:16:21 important and and should I make cringe
1:16:25 faces on LinkedIn probably not but it's
1:16:29 who I am um the whole purpose of my
1:16:33 channel is to demystify all the stuff
1:16:35 that's coming here's my point of view on
1:16:38 all this AI
1:16:41 stuff whether you love it or hate it and
1:16:45 and sounds like you clearly hate it
1:16:47 which is fine what I would say is this
1:16:50 don't hate it and not try it like at
1:16:52 least understand what's here because
1:16:55 here's what I know what I know is it's
1:16:57 not going away and what I know is it's
1:16:59 going to change
1:17:01 everything
1:17:03 and me experimenting with verifying my
1:17:08 my human uniqueness in some sort of
1:17:11 blockchain thing it's tied to open AI so
1:17:13 I trust them a little bit I do I trust
1:17:15 them a lot I trust them more than I
1:17:17 trust Google I trust them more than I
1:17:19 trust
1:17:20 Facebook and so why I'm I'm doing that
1:17:23 is because I want to be able to play
1:17:25 with the new services that come along
1:17:27 where I can actually use that thing and
1:17:30 see what the experience is like that's
1:17:32 different when I'm in a service that's
1:17:36 all human beings and no bots so
1:17:39 anyway all
1:17:44 right you love AI cool all right good
1:17:48 awesome uh
1:17:53 [Music]
1:17:57 I'm one of the idiots that fell for the
1:17:59 data harvesting scheme yes I'm also one
1:18:01 of the idiots that fell for the data
1:18:03 harvesting scheme of Google back in the
1:18:05 day when I created an account and used
1:18:07 all their services for
1:18:09 free are you concerned about the
1:18:11 possible monetization monopolization of
1:18:14 who you choose to have SC scan your
1:18:18 eye okay hang on let's get off the scan
1:18:20 the eye
1:18:22 part if we trust them which I don't know
1:18:25 if I do they're not keeping the I scan
1:18:28 data the only thing they're doing with
1:18:29 the I scan data they're using like seven
1:18:31 different wavelengths of light to create
1:18:34 a unique hash and then once they have
1:18:37 that unique hash they're discarding the
1:18:39 biometric data so the the the purpose of
1:18:42 it is they create a unique hash based on
1:18:45 seven layers seven or eight layers of
1:18:48 wavelengths of light on your irises it's
1:18:50 not actually your retina it's your
1:18:52 irises and they created a unique hash
1:18:55 and then they compare that to other
1:18:56 hashes in the database and if it's
1:18:58 Unique they give you an ID they
1:19:00 basically say if you don't match another
1:19:02 eyeball in this database then we'll give
1:19:04 you an ID as far as I know that's as far
1:19:07 as they take that
1:19:09 um do do I care about them monetizing it
1:19:12 I don't because I don't think they're
1:19:14 keeping the data I don't think it's in
1:19:15 their interest to keep the data I think
1:19:17 it's in their interest to have a
1:19:20 database of unique human beings that are
1:19:22 verified there's there's only so many
1:19:24 ways that you can verify a human being
1:19:26 right and and physical is is one of the
1:19:30 more accurate
1:19:32 ones
1:19:37 [Music]
1:19:39 um all right biometric data is scary
1:19:42 Elon is going to take everyone in X this
1:19:46 year they have you they do have me
1:19:49 listen
1:19:53 I if
1:19:56 if any of
1:19:58 you
1:19:59 believe that Google and Facebook haven't
1:20:02 triangulated every single source of data
1:20:06 with every other single source of data
1:20:08 about you you're you're like I
1:20:12 everyone's acting like the AI shit's
1:20:14 different what's different about the AI
1:20:16 stuff is that it's much easier to act on
1:20:19 that data but the data ship has already
1:20:23 sailed we've already all been
1:20:26 sold like they know everything like like
1:20:30 if you've been using the internet for 40
1:20:32 [ __ ] years like I have it's like it
1:20:36 it's it's all out there right so like I
1:20:39 feel like this is an incremental an
1:20:41 incremental thing but because it's AI
1:20:44 like again I we're in this weird we're
1:20:47 in this weird place right now where
1:20:50 every single time in the history of
1:20:52 humanity that there's a major
1:20:53 technological change people get scared
1:20:56 and freaked out and they think that the
1:20:58 human race is going to
1:21:01 end it's not it's not we're a resilient
1:21:06 species we will adapt right when the
1:21:09 steam engine came in and replaced horses
1:21:12 Farmers couldn't imagine what they would
1:21:15 do if they didn't deal with you know
1:21:20 horses over decades they moved to the
1:21:23 cities and they figured out the Sur
1:21:25 economy right so there's like yes
1:21:28 there's major change coming but we're
1:21:31 going to figure it out but one of the
1:21:34 big problems we have on the internet
1:21:36 right now is we don't know who anyone is
1:21:40 there there are massive corporations in
1:21:43 other countries that sole purpose is to
1:21:46 be on our social media networks [ __ ]
1:21:49 with
1:21:50 us there there are corporations that
1:21:53 this is their job
1:21:56 right to [ __ ] with us
1:22:00 well would wouldn't it be an interesting
1:22:03 option if you could choose to go to a
1:22:05 place where that wasn't a
1:22:08 thing that's a possibility right but
1:22:12 [ __ ] has to change all right um Pate
1:22:16 just a reminder all of the data sharing
1:22:18 in Google can be turned off in your
1:22:21 settings not if you have ADD
1:22:24 pate no nobody changes their
1:22:27 defaults okay wait okay let's go ask
1:22:31 Chad
1:22:31 gbt this is an important one okay we can
1:22:35 let's go do some research on this one
1:22:39 we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna
1:22:40 start here we're gonna say okay we're
1:22:42 gonna go uh I want you to
1:22:48 research how many people on
1:22:53 average change
1:22:55 their
1:22:59 defaults it's probably going to be
1:23:01 depressingly
1:23:03 high software applications a study
1:23:05 analyzing Microsoft
1:23:07 Word found that over 95% of users did
1:23:11 not modify their default
1:23:14 configurations router
1:23:16 security 52% of users never adjusted any
1:23:20 factory settings on their router 52% and
1:23:24 that
1:23:25 that's just like
1:23:28 password 86% never changed their default
1:23:32 administrator password I
1:23:35 mean online search engines defaults
1:23:39 significantly influence user behavior in
1:23:41 online searches for example when Google
1:23:43 is set as a default search it maintains
1:23:46 dominant market share um privacy
1:23:49 settings um let's see
1:23:52 um are let's see are there any studies
1:23:57 on um data
1:24:02 privacy um
1:24:06 defaults in Google in
1:24:10 particular not to not to pick on Google
1:24:13 but but Google's just I mean Google and
1:24:14 Facebook I would say are the the the two
1:24:17 that have made a business out of owning
1:24:19 our
1:24:21 data um
1:24:27 most people only had a vague
1:24:29 understanding of data collection
1:24:42 practices the findings indicated that
1:24:45 while users appreciated the transparency
1:24:47 only 25% intended to change their
1:24:50 settings or behavior behaviors Exposed
1:24:53 on the dashboard
1:24:55 yeah yeah I know I get it all right
1:25:00 start streamyard
1:25:04 question I'm surprised you use so many
1:25:07 gpts gpts are useless gpts are not
1:25:09 useless gpts are not useless here I'll
1:25:12 prove
1:25:15 it wait what's your name Neil sandal
1:25:20 um
1:25:23 okay um I have a
1:25:27 friend named Neil who thinks gpts are
1:25:34 useless and I want to
1:25:39 design a
1:25:41 swell cocktail for
1:25:45 him
1:25:51 um he let's say he likes
1:25:55 Jin or
1:25:57 vodka and
1:25:59 not too
1:26:02 fruity all right here we
1:26:07 go come on Sin City

1:26:47 drink and make
1:26:50 it um a good winter
1:26:55 embi
1:26:56 embi
1:26:58 [Laughter]

1:27:37 this Neil's winter bourbon two ounces of
1:27:40 bourbon Neil's choice of a smooth Rich
1:27:42 variety half an ounce of maple syrup

1:27:51 that can I can I can can you copy
1:27:56 this can I post this here paste no dang
1:28:02 it well so and wait but wait there's
1:28:06 more Neil this isn't just about
1:28:10 alcohol let's go to the 70s muscle car
1:28:12 machine
1:28:14 maker I'm ready to design my dream car
1:28:18 all right let's build you first question
1:28:20 what's your car model Dodge Charger Ford
1:28:23 Camaro Pontiac GTO I'm going to assume
1:28:27 you're a barracuda guy
1:28:31 Plymouth
1:28:35 baruda excellent choice what color do
1:28:39 you want let's go bright orange
1:28:42 um what color and finish let's go let's
1:28:45 go
1:28:49 um I don't know uh
1:28:53 70s leaper
1:28:58 green with matte
1:29:03 black fantastic choice and it gave me a
1:29:07 green
1:29:07 heart final question what modifications
1:29:11 uh Chrome blower duh Chrome
1:29:19 blower G now I'm going to make you a
1:29:23 poster for your room Neil
1:29:26 and then you tell me you tell me gpts
1:29:30 are useless look at that sleeper green
1:29:34 the 70s
1:29:35 [Laughter]
1:29:41 sleeper this is why I act like an
1:29:51 idiot oh good
1:29:53 lord have we learned anything here
1:29:56 tonight I'm an idiot for making
1:29:59 faces I'm an idiot for scanning my eye
1:30:03 but I can make you a nice drink and a
1:30:04 poster for your
1:30:11 wall oh good lord I'm thirsty I'm I I
1:30:15 got no liquid left in my body
1:30:25 we need to go to Sora and make him a
1:30:28 song no listen listen I get listen I
1:30:32 just like so much is changing so fast
1:30:35 you know gpts are funny
1:30:38 actually I went through a I went through
1:30:40 a phase in 2024 like over the summer
1:30:45 where I was just like what the [ __ ] you
1:30:46 know those gpts every they were all
1:30:50 hyped up and everyone was all excited
1:30:51 about them and then open AI just didn't
1:30:53 do anything with
1:30:55 them and as the fall came back around I
1:30:58 kind of got reinvigorated by them
1:31:00 because there's there's something
1:31:02 about the challenge with chat GPT and
1:31:05 with all large language models right now
1:31:07 is because they're general purpose
1:31:10 models you kind of end up with what
1:31:13 writers call blank page syndrome where
1:31:15 you're just like what the [ __ ] do I if
1:31:17 if this thing can do everything what do
1:31:20 I do like where do I start and what's
1:31:23 nice about gpts is that they can give
1:31:26 you a place to start now not a lot of
1:31:28 people know about them not of people
1:31:30 know how to use them but they can
1:31:33 actually be quite
1:31:38 valuable so all
1:31:41 right what else what else
1:31:45 people what else people have we
1:31:48 successfully defended the internet
1:31:55 and here's the
1:31:57 thing I can't stop
1:32:01 anyone from from hating on AI I have no
1:32:05 intention of that all I'm trying to do
1:32:07 is say give this [ __ ] a
1:32:10 shot and don't assume that whatever this
1:32:13 whatever was shitty about these things
1:32:15 two years ago don't assume it's still
1:32:17 shitty today like these tools are
1:32:20 getting staggeringly better and better
1:32:23 and better and better
1:32:25 like even in the last six months the
1:32:27 improvements are you know someone said
1:32:28 tonight I keep seeing these these
1:32:31 amazing images like where are they
1:32:32 coming from well like a lot of
1:32:38 them no I'm good
1:32:46 [Music]
1:32:56 [Music]
1:33:00 all right what else what else what else
1:33:03 are we talking about PE what else do
1:33:06 they want to do Peppa hello
1:33:10 peer Hi listen
1:33:15 car wait till Neil finds out about my
1:33:17 pink
1:33:19 bow he's gonna lose his [ __ ] mind
1:33:25 [Laughter]
1:33:35 well I'd like to consider myself one of
1:33:37 the foremost authorities and authorities
1:33:40 and artificial intelligence education uh
1:33:44 created a community called the a salon
1:33:47 and I have a a university I would call
1:33:52 an educational Institution called the
1:33:55 artificial intelligence learning
1:33:57 laboratory I
1:34:03 I yo sir are you an AI
1:34:09 guy yeah I'm
1:34:11 gp5 am I cute do you like my little bow
1:34:19 [Laughter]
1:34:26 Oh see it's hard to call me an idiot
1:34:29 when I am a master at calling myself an
1:34:34 idiot it's tough to out idiot
1:34:38 me oh for those of you who just joining
1:34:42 this is perfectly normal welcome to the
1:34:47 lab Daisy May and this is all free can
1:34:50 you believe it
1:34:54 [Laughter]
1:34:59 oh good
1:35:01 lord Kyle's laughing is making me laugh
1:35:05 oh next time you're going to Congress
1:35:08 wear your pink bow yeah those those
1:35:11 Washington people they don't they don't
1:35:12 appreciate pink bow
1:35:14 humor I need a neuros spicy
1:35:18 crowd what have you done
1:35:21 webdev uh I co-founded agency
1:35:24 which was one of the first digital
1:35:25 agencies in
1:35:28 1994 built some of the first websites
1:35:31 for the Fortune 500 before anybody knew
1:35:34 what they were I did
1:35:37 that I made I made
1:35:42 um if you go
1:35:45 to I don't know why I'm defending myself
1:35:48 to you because it doesn't really [ __ ]
1:35:50 matter what I
1:35:53 did it really
1:35:55 doesn't but if you want to know I made
1:35:59 the salon
1:36:02 newsomatic which is a uh a little RSS
1:36:08 feed um dashboard of AI news we'll see
1:36:11 if it still works it worked a while
1:36:14 ago come on work you
1:36:20 [ __ ] there you
1:36:22 go so made this thing where you can sort
1:36:26 by all these different categories of
1:36:28 news if you click on any one of these it
1:36:31 gives you the description of the story
1:36:34 if you click on this it jumps you out to
1:36:35 the story
1:36:38 itself I gave it this really clever name
1:36:41 AI Salon newsomatic huh and you're like
1:36:45 but Kyle but what sources are behind
1:36:47 this well you roll over the little I
1:36:50 thing there and you get your little
1:36:51 popup thing so I made this I made this
1:36:53 with any code
1:36:56 whatsoever well no there's code behind
1:36:58 it I didn't write it I just had AI build
1:37:01 it for me because that's the world we
1:37:03 live in now so I did
1:37:04 [Laughter]
1:37:08 this all right I think it's time to get
1:37:10 out of here I'm getting Punchy I I was
1:37:12 already pissed off at the days of the
1:37:14 week to start the thing and they didn't
1:37:16 do anything to me nobody suggested
1:37:18 changing the days of the week I just I
1:37:22 just fantasize ized that probably when I
1:37:26 go look up the origin of the days of the
1:37:29 week that there's probably some act in
1:37:32 Congress that not only we getting rid of
1:37:34 daylight savings time we're gonna add a
1:37:36 day of the week or we're gonna add a
1:37:38 month I
1:37:39 like everything's
1:37:47 changing by the way that website I made
1:37:50 the newsomatic I made that with lovable.
1:37:52 deev if you're a webdev go play with
1:37:54 lovable dodev or go play with repet
1:37:57 agent or go play with cursor those tools
1:38:00 are are they're just getting scarily
1:38:03 good lovable dodev is the first one that
1:38:05 I
1:38:06 used that didn't break as I tried to
1:38:09 refine it repet their [ __ ] always breaks
1:38:12 although I haven't used it recently and
1:38:14 cursor is too technical for me and this
1:38:16 was one I just kept saying change the
1:38:19 corner radius make give them colors um
1:38:22 make it do this make it do that
1:38:24 make [ __ ] pop up give me a you know add
1:38:27 an embed code and it just did all that
1:38:29 [ __ ] so pretty pretty good stuff um I
1:38:33 think you must be 60 years old I'm 59
1:38:36 but
1:38:37 close um what's your advice for
1:38:40 beginners get
1:38:43 aggressively
1:38:45 AI
1:38:47 knowledgeable like deeply understand
1:38:50 deeply understand what all these tools
1:38:52 can do
1:38:54 it's not that we're going to not need
1:38:57 developers we are going to need
1:38:58 developers but the skills that that are
1:39:00 required from those developers are going
1:39:03 to be radically different than
1:39:06 coding
1:39:07 coding is going to be done now there are
1:39:10 going to be some coders that are like
1:39:12 well my code's different okay there
1:39:14 there's going to be a small percentage
1:39:16 where their code's different and they
1:39:18 have to continue to do you know
1:39:21 handbuilt stuff but for most applic
1:39:24 that things going to change what you
1:39:26 need to get good at is thinking
1:39:28 horizontally across a project not just
1:39:31 the code piece think about the design
1:39:33 think about usability think about
1:39:36 business imperatives what's this site
1:39:38 trying to include because employers are
1:39:42 going to be looking for people that can
1:39:44 go deep in one area but can go broad
1:39:46 across other areas because the AI is
1:39:48 going to be able to back you up in a lot
1:39:50 of the Tactical
1:39:51 execution so get
1:39:54 get radically AI curious like geek the
1:39:58 [ __ ] out get on Reddit get on X follow
1:40:03 AI people understand what's coming
1:40:05 because we are about three months away
1:40:08 from Agents where idiots like me with
1:40:12 pink bows on their head are going to be
1:40:14 able to just ask for a site like this
1:40:16 but a more sophisticated version of it
1:40:18 and it's going to go build
1:40:21 it and you might look at it and go well
1:40:24 technically it could be better here or
1:40:25 more efficient there but I as the buyer
1:40:27 I'm not going to give a
1:40:29 [ __ ] so there's going to be some people
1:40:32 that are going to be lazy and don't even
1:40:33 want to do that and they will hire you
1:40:35 but you got to be ready for that
1:40:38 okay
1:40:41 [Music]
1:40:43 um so if you don't know oh yeah up up on
1:40:47 the screen right
1:40:49 now is the URL for are you ready for
1:40:53 a.com so this is a certificate of AI
1:40:57 Readiness that an Murphy and I are
1:40:59 collaborating on so last weekend we did
1:41:02 this thing called AI Festivus which was
1:41:04 a two-day workshop Aon where we had 34
1:41:08 speakers over 24 hours across two days
1:41:11 it was Bonkers we had more than 2200
1:41:14 people show up and one of the big
1:41:17 requests out of that event was we want
1:41:19 to be able to get a certificate like we
1:41:21 want to learn all these Concepts in a
1:41:23 deeper way so we're building that
1:41:25 program so if you want to sign up for
1:41:27 just Early Access for information about
1:41:30 that as we put it together our goal is
1:41:32 to launch that on February 1 it's going
1:41:34 to be a foray thing um February 1 is our
1:41:39 targeted launch date so if you want to
1:41:41 be on the email list and get notified
1:41:43 about progress and what we're doing um
1:41:46 we may pull people out of the early
1:41:48 signups to beta test we don't we don't
1:41:50 know yet we just met today to figure out
1:41:53 to get this stuff in motion so go sign
1:41:56 up for that how to land a job as a
1:41:58 beginner um my my okay good question so
1:42:04 wait frustrated guy codes okay a
1:42:07 beginner frustrated guy
1:42:09 codes I think one of the
1:42:12 biggest one of the most challenging
1:42:15 markets for the next 10 years is going
1:42:17 to be entrylevel
1:42:20 work I hate to say it but think there's
1:42:24 a way around it and the way around it is
1:42:27 this let me go to AI salon so if you go
1:42:30 to AI so for one thing you should join a
1:42:32 community like AI Salon um we have a we
1:42:36 have a a little welcome area and then we
1:42:39 talk about this idea of the journey to
1:42:41 AI Readiness play first mindfully create
1:42:44 generously lead now this might seem just
1:42:47 like kind of a stupid oh it's like a
1:42:49 successories poster right um
1:42:55 these three things came out of so so
1:42:58 this community was started the week
1:43:00 after chat GPT launched I founded this
1:43:03 community with Leah faston who's a
1:43:04 professional photographer out of Boston
1:43:06 we just put this group together we met
1:43:08 two times a month and just have been
1:43:10 doing it ever
1:43:11 since um we had just over 2,000 people
1:43:16 when we did this AI Festivus thing we
1:43:18 we've now added about 800 new members to
1:43:20 the AI salon so it's grown quite
1:43:22 dramatically in the past week but these
1:43:25 three things play first mindfully create
1:43:28 generously lead here's what that looks
1:43:29 like just start playing with AI and I
1:43:32 would encourage you as a coder play with
1:43:35 way more than just code go make songs on
1:43:37 sunno go make images on ideogram and
1:43:40 figure out what it can do with text um
1:43:43 uh uh you know go do the coding stuff go
1:43:45 to chat GPT and do writing stuff do
1:43:47 creative writing stuff do business
1:43:49 writing stuff figure out how well it
1:43:51 codes figure out which of the which of
1:43:54 the major llms you like the coding of
1:43:57 better like some of them are going to be
1:43:58 more in your style than others just go
1:44:00 play Then mindfully create looks like
1:44:04 start volunteering to do projects with
1:44:07 AI so if you know someone that's trying
1:44:10 to launch a business or trying to do an
1:44:12 app but you're kind of friendly with
1:44:14 them you're like hey let me just I'm
1:44:15 going to try to build it with AI can can
1:44:17 I do that for you just start building
1:44:20 [ __ ] solving problems and ideally
1:44:22 solving problems for other people and
1:44:24 then the generously lead part is talk
1:44:27 about
1:44:28 it put it on LinkedIn put it on Facebook
1:44:31 or whever whatever your socials are talk
1:44:33 about it on Reddit let people make fun
1:44:35 of you put it out there and say hey I
1:44:37 tried to make this app and this thing
1:44:39 really sucked and it broke and I hate it
1:44:41 okay great put that out there hey I
1:44:42 tried uh lovable. deev I heard it from
1:44:45 Kyle on the AI learning lab and huh it's
1:44:48 actually less shitty than I thought it
1:44:50 would be put that out there put out what
1:44:51 you built just just just keep putting
1:44:55 your work out there because what's going
1:44:57 to happen is people will start to
1:44:59 recognize you as someone who has a point
1:45:02 of view about
1:45:03 AI the real Panic around AI hasn't set
1:45:07 in yet I think it's going to set in in
1:45:10 2025 because these tools are about to
1:45:12 get really good and really powerful 2024
1:45:16 was a bit of a a lull year even though a
1:45:19 lot happened I don't think that's going
1:45:21 to be 2025 so I think what you're going
1:45:23 to see is in the next six months
1:45:25 Corporate America is going to wake up
1:45:27 and people are going to [ __ ] panic I
1:45:29 need to learn about AI who knows
1:45:31 anything about Ai and if you're out in
1:45:33 the world they will find you but you got
1:45:37 to be in the world so I would say Do not
1:45:39 sit in the shadows is the is is the
1:45:41 biggest hedge um toward getting work as
1:45:44 as someone entering the job
1:45:46 market all
1:45:50 right all right fantastic
1:45:56 Bob it was a little more irregular than
1:45:58 normal yeah it was a little off tonight
1:46:00 but whatever it was fun no no it wasn't
1:46:03 fun I had
1:46:09 fun oh my God Recordings are available
1:46:12 in the salon yeah for AI Festivus if you
1:46:13 got a AI Festivus 24 right below the
1:46:16 welcome there's a little a little chat
1:46:19 area in there and if you go to the
1:46:22 resource list here's the recordings from
1:46:24 AI
1:46:25 Festivus all right so that's a little
1:46:28 secret but you got to be part of the
1:46:29 salon you got to play to win it's like
1:46:32 the
1:46:35 lotto okay let me get out of here so
1:46:39 tomorrow if you like my brand of
1:46:41 communication which clearly clearly some
1:46:44 people didn't tonight which is fine um
1:46:48 tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. mountain time I
1:46:51 do a thing called AI office hours on
1:46:54 LinkedIn um and we will be having it
1:46:57 tomorrow so some people have asked are
1:46:58 you going to have it tomorrow we will
1:47:00 have it so 11: a.m. so go to my LinkedIn
1:47:02 profile at Kyle Shannon you can see any
1:47:05 of the previous AI office hours it's the
1:47:07 same link I've been using it for two
1:47:09 years tomorrow morning I will put out a
1:47:12 reminder we're going to have an office
1:47:13 hours um so if you see it on LinkedIn
1:47:15 just join it that way or you can just go
1:47:17 to my account and find any of the old
1:47:19 ones it still works 11:00 a.m. Mountain
1:47:22 Time tomorrow night is Friday night date
1:47:25 night and you're like but Kyle what's
1:47:26 Friday night date night it's like bring
1:47:28 a date it's ideally bring a blind date
1:47:31 and so what you want to do is you want
1:47:33 to time it so that you go out to dinner
1:47:35 with them and then if things are working
1:47:37 out kind of vibing you're like hey let's
1:47:40 go back to my place I got a little
1:47:41 something we can watch and then you come
1:47:44 back and they think it's going to be a
1:47:45 Netflix and chill situation you're G to
1:47:47 put on some sexy poorly acted movie and
1:47:51 then what you do is you like pull out
1:47:52 your phone and you sit it on a stand and
1:47:54 like I show up and then you're like oh
1:47:58 watch he's going to put on the pink B
1:47:59 wait wait for the gold
1:48:02 button and then within like 10 minutes
1:48:05 your date will be gone and then we can
1:48:08 just hang
1:48:08 out so you do that you you make yourself
1:48:11 nachos you make them in the air
1:48:14 fryer um or another popular choice is a
1:48:18 Hot Pocket heated up in a dirty
1:48:21 microwave don't forget the sleep
1:48:25 and that's it and we hang out and it's
1:48:28 it's almost identical to what we did
1:48:30 tonight except it couldn't possibly be
1:48:35 worse all right but and it's on a Friday
1:48:38 night so that's Friday night date
1:48:44 night Esther like thank you Kyle oh I
1:48:47 just lost the pin could someone repin
1:48:49 that
1:48:57 thank you Kyle and help advice this will
1:48:59 be great for helping revise this Uber
1:49:02 boring guide
1:49:04 yes no more boring guides listen this is
1:49:07 one of the joys of AI is that it is
1:49:11 incredible at parsing incredibly
1:49:14 complicated documents and simplifying
1:49:16 them oh okay wait
1:49:20 okay Brandon where's the do you have the
1:49:23 do you do you have the the URL for the
1:49:25 PDF of of that document of the
1:49:34 [Music]
1:49:39 guide wait I can't somehow get to that
1:49:41 Post-It
1:49:45 note I can get to the blue one oh there
1:49:47 you go
1:49:50 okay I want to make Esther a podcast
1:49:52 over boring guide so Esther if you
1:49:55 haven't done this yet if you haven't if
1:49:57 you haven't used notebook LM we got to
1:49:59 make one we got we got to make a podcast
1:50:01 of the
1:50:03 [Laughter]
1:50:09 guide H we might have lost
1:50:12 it uh
1:50:24 [Music]
1:50:30 hang on a
1:50:31 sec guide for applying I got
1:50:34 it 041 1723 I think this is an old
1:50:46 one well I use an old one I'll use an
1:50:48 old one okay so so check this out um
1:50:57 where yeah here we
1:51:00 go okay let me share
1:51:04 this stop
1:51:06 [Music]
1:51:08 sharing stop screen sharing present
1:51:11 share
1:51:12 screen notebook
1:51:15 LM okay so we're going to create a new
1:51:19 so I'm in Notebook LM Dot
1:51:24 um
1:51:29 google.com uh let's see upload a
1:51:37 source this this should
1:51:40 work
1:51:43 insert did it
1:51:50 work okay it worked all right this is a
1:51:53 guide from the public procurement thing
1:51:56 so over here on the right it says
1:51:58 generate a deep dive conversation so
1:52:01 we're we're gonna make a a podcast about
1:52:05 the certification guide just for you
1:52:09 Esther oh wait now we have the wait we
1:52:11 have the real one all right what
1:52:14 whatever the gray thing is that I can't
1:52:15 edit can you undo that
1:52:18 Brandon here we'll stop this let me lose
1:52:22 this
1:52:24 we'll delete this remove Source delete
1:52:28 okay we might as well do it with the up
1:52:31 to date one
1:52:32 okay so we're gonna upload a
1:52:38 source this is the
1:52:41 best uh but the point I was making
1:52:44 was AI is really good at can
1:52:49 I I can't stop that mid gener
1:52:53 well we'll listen to it when it comes up
1:52:55 it's really good at understanding
1:52:57 documents and so what what notebook LM
1:53:00 does you could take all of your
1:53:01 documents for your organization and
1:53:04 throw them in a notebook LM and just
1:53:05 start talking with them basically asking
1:53:08 them questions like you know what are
1:53:10 the points here and you know how would
1:53:12 you improve it whatever it might be
1:53:13 create a study guide create a briefing
1:53:15 document all that sort of stuff but you
1:53:17 can also create one of these audio
1:53:19 overviews they're and they're just wild
1:53:22 if you haven't seen
1:53:23 so we'll we'll it's going to take it a
1:53:25 minute to generate but we'll go ahead
1:53:26 and uh we'll go ahead and play with it
1:53:29 so who's got any any anyone got any
1:53:32 comments there's Source Camp what's
1:53:34 Source Camp say I got my cousin a $5,000
1:53:37 raise by writing a chat GPT letter for
1:53:39 her there you go like Source Camp Kelly
1:53:43 Camp is one of those people who she her
1:53:46 brain just works in a different way
1:53:48 where she's just like someone comes to
1:53:51 her with some sort of problem like I
1:53:53 would like to have more money in my job
1:53:54 please and Kelly's like let's write you
1:53:56 a letter see if that works then she she
1:53:59 uses AI it squirts out a letter $5,000
1:54:02 raise bang I love it that's [ __ ]
1:54:06 awesome I use AI every day named her
1:54:11 srina I love it mine's Quinn I went I
1:54:15 went with something
1:54:19 simple oh good lordy good lordy good
1:54:25 lordy all right suddenly re realizing
1:54:28 I'm in a cult but that's okay there's a
1:54:30 guy with a pink bow yeah I'm I'm a I'm
1:54:32 an unfortunate cult leader
1:54:35 here it's like wait you're following him
1:54:39 what what is going on weren't cult
1:54:42 leaders supposed to be charismatic and
1:54:44 charming and
1:54:46 smart he's completely unqualified and
1:54:49 that's the way we like him
1:54:55 I took a pick of a a washing machine and
1:54:58 she lets me know settings for different
1:55:00 garments that's
1:55:03 brilliant does an do lives an sometimes
1:55:06 does lives but sometimes doesn't
1:55:09 depending on what she's got going on
1:55:10 with her family she may be here or not
1:55:13 um but we did a live today together at
1:55:15 11 okay here's this thing so we've got a
1:55:17 16-minute podcast I don't know if you're
1:55:19 still here Esther but if you are did I
1:55:21 share this I think I Shar shared this
1:55:24 Brandon tell me if you can hear this
1:55:26 welcome to your deep dive today um we're
1:55:30 going behind the scenes of something
1:55:31 that might not sound super exciting at
1:55:33 first glance okay public procurement
1:55:36 certification but trust me this is a
1:55:38 deep dive you won't want to miss okay
1:55:41 think about it every park bench yeah
1:55:44 every school bus every road repair all
1:55:47 those things we rely on as Citizens
1:55:49 right someone's got to buy them right
1:55:52 and in the world of government that
1:55:54 someone needs to be seriously qualified
1:55:57 yeah we've got a stack of guides from
1:56:00 the universal public procurement
1:56:01 certification Council okay the upcc for
1:56:05 short right and these are the folks who
1:56:07 set the gold standard for these
1:56:08 procurement Pros they're like the Jedi
1:56:10 Masters of making sure taxpayer money is
1:56:13 spent wisely and efficiently yeah I like
1:56:15 that analogy now you might be thinking
1:56:18 okay but how does this affect me but the
1:56:19 truth is Right public procurement
1:56:22 touches all of our lives in ways we
1:56:24 might not even realize it really does
1:56:26 I'm curious can you give our listener an
1:56:27 idea of just how much impact these
1:56:30 certified professionals actually all
1:56:31 right so we don't need to listen to the
1:56:33 whole thing but I do want to I do want
1:56:34 to download this and get it to you
1:56:36 Esther so I'm gonna I'm gonna go back to
1:56:38 the same place I put the chat I'm going
1:56:40 to go back to um the AI Salon in
1:56:44 Irregulars and I'll I'll share it there
1:56:46 with you and you can download it for all
1:56:48 of your co-workers and just tell them
1:56:51 just yeah over New Year's I decided to
1:56:54 record a podcast about our procurement
1:56:56 guide our certification
1:57:03 guide oh and don't tell him it was AI
1:57:07 just say yeah I put it together I have
1:57:08 some friends I have some friends here
1:57:11 I'll put it I'll put it inside this
1:57:13 other this other one
1:57:15 um so we'll add can I add an audio
1:57:20 document I might not be able to let me
1:57:21 see hang on
1:57:25 looks like I can
1:57:28 no um can I publish The Notebook LM
1:57:33 thing I probably
1:57:36 [Music]
