3:01 won't you
3:03 leave just to Ste me away yeah from the
3:08 truth of who I am and what I
3:11 believe so I thanked him for his two
3:14 cents with a
3:16 handshake and some
3:18 sympathy yeah I packed up my blue jeans

4:14 free all right people hoty hoty
4:18 hottie what is going
4:20 [Music]
4:28 down welcome welcome to the AI learning
4:30 lab my name is Kyle
4:32 Shannon uh you know what we do
4:36 here nobody to AI learning lab my name
4:38 is Kyle
4:39 Shannon uh you know what we do
4:43 here nobody about work
4:49 and Ai and how we're going to deal with
4:52 all this
4:53 [ __ ] and if if you want the
4:56 answers you've come to the wrong place I
4:59 got no answers I got nothing I got
5:03 nothing other than how are you doing
5:05 today Kyle thank you Empower pixels I'm
5:06 doing quite well thank
5:10 you um we got a new toy to play with in
5:13 chat GPT my hair is looking
5:16 awful it's it's
5:20 uh it's it's it's reached 1970s carpet
5:24 salesman length again so I got to get
5:27 that fixed Katy peris Perry wants us to
5:30 stop using AI to make music yeah I know
5:32 and the farmers wanted us to stop using
5:34 steam engines to plow Fields I get it I
5:38 understand you know
5:41 again it here's the deal it doesn't stop
5:45 Katie Perry from making her
5:48 music um it enables lots of other people
5:51 to make music now the ugliness gets in
5:56 is it allows other people to make k Katy
5:58 Perry music so I understand why she's
6:00 freaked out about it and why she's
6:01 pissed off about
6:02 it but it's not going to
6:04 stop so then what do we
6:08 [Laughter]
6:10 do c because again I'm what I try not to
6:14 do on this channel is is past judgment
6:17 you know one way or the other is it good
6:18 is it bad is it indifferent share the
6:20 live oh yeah that would be great do me a
6:22 favor share the live if you'd be willing
6:24 to share it with your friends here's a
6:27 here's a fun little hobby share it with
6:29 people that you know it'll piss
6:32 off either that people that like hate
6:35 old people or people that hate Ai and
6:39 I'm happy to talk to them as an old
6:41 person who
6:44 is uh let's call it AI
6:50 positive John Stewart pulled a daily St
6:52 show controversy card on AI last night
6:55 yeah I saw that I listen I love John
6:57 Stewart um it the the thing
7:02 that that he he succumbed to in my
7:07 opinion um was he kind of stopped short
7:11 of he he tried to represent both sides a
7:14 little bit but he kind of stopped short
7:17 of like where he stopped was it's going
7:19 to take your jobs and it's evil because
7:21 it's going to take your jobs what he
7:23 didn't do which he normally does was
7:25 look a little bit into the future to say
7:27 here's the kind of jobs it might
7:28 generate or here's the kind of ways you
7:30 might be able to deal with this he just
7:33 kind of let it be you know the
7:34 sensationalist media message but you
7:37 know whatever I love that AI
7:40 positive thank
7:42 you this is the the AI Salon is or the
7:45 AI learning lab is an AI positive
7:48 [Laughter]
7:51 Channel we're AI adjacent
7:56 here oh
7:58 Lordy so I figure what we'll do tonight
8:01 is we'll talk about
8:04 um we'll talk about the new editing
8:06 image editing capability in chat
8:10 GPT which is weird
8:15 simple great not all that effective and
8:18 it looks like my Tik Tok just glitched
8:20 am I still here I tested I'm AI positive
8:24 I tested I'm AI
8:28 positive
8:32 Mr Shannon I'm afraid I've got bad news
8:35 you're AI
8:36 [Laughter]
8:42 positive I'll tell you what I you know
8:45 obviously my skin regiment is just doing
8:48 just fine because this is super model
8:51 super model good looks on the skin care
8:54 but the
8:55 hair what the [ __ ] going on
8:58 there you know I'm just a glow from here
9:01 down except for the eyebrows and the
9:04 crooked glasses and the
9:06 hiccups are you using a
9:10 filter this is this is just the Lord's
9:12 filter the Lord's filter right here I
9:15 don't think I'm using a filter let me
9:19 [Music]
9:27 look I don't think so I don't know I
9:31 don't I don't
9:32 think it kind of looks like
9:40 me I
9:44 I I'm a 20 22-year-old Brazilian woman
9:48 with long brown hair does it does is
9:49 that what I look
9:52 like which is better chat GPT or grock
9:56 good Lord grock's a steaming pile of
9:59 [ __ ]
10:00 um chat GPT
10:03 bu barge
10:06 loads and I mean barge loads barges that
10:09 don't hit
10:10 Bridges
10:14 better catp is like seven container
10:17 ships that did not hit a bridge better
10:20 than grock grock grock is the absolute
10:24 bottom of the pile as far as I'm
10:25 concerned right now now give it a month
10:28 oh you can brush your eyebrows up into
10:31 your hairline except the problem is my
10:33 eyebrows are getting longer but my
10:35 hairline is receding so so it's a battle
10:38 it's a
10:41 battle um no grock is a steaming piece
10:44 of [ __ ] right now but apparently this
10:48 week we're supposed to be getting grock
10:50 1.5 which is supposed to be
10:54 better um but we'll see so we'll see if
10:56 it's if it's better um Google gem I was
11:00 really bad and then they released their
11:02 1.5 and their 1.5 was really good so
11:05 maybe it's going to follow a similar a
11:07 similar sort of thing is
11:08 that
11:15 um it has to be better because the
11:18 numbers are
11:22 bigger chat G pt4 is better in that
11:25 comparison in which
11:26 comparison chaty p is there something
11:29 that grock is better at than chat GPT
11:32 Pate not grock the hardware company
11:35 grock the Twitter chat
11:38 GPT so it'll be a pile of poop that
11:41 isn't
11:42 steaming exactly exactly 1.5 will just
11:46 be like like dried
11:49 manure it'll be like fertilizer natural
11:52 [Laughter]
11:57 fertilizer all right so here's how this
11:59 this works if you have questions about
12:01 AI pop in the comments below I'll do my
12:03 best to answer
12:05 them um I can I can demo stuff I figure
12:08 we'll show some stuff tonight FSD 12.3
12:11 from Tesla is blowing Minds yeah Mike so
12:15 here's here's one of the things that I
12:17 think is quite significant about Tesla I
12:20 think I thought it was
12:21 12 12.4 something or is it 12.3.3 I
12:26 don't know anyway
12:27 whatever so Tesla
12:32 released full self-driving for free for
12:36 all I think us drivers um for like a
12:41 free trial I I think it's 12 Grand after
12:43 that um and people are liking it a lot
12:46 but there was something that was said in
12:48 the um in the announcement of the full
12:54 self-driving that I thought was actually
12:56 quite
12:56 significant what they said was and I I
12:59 don't I don't have the words exactly so
13:01 if I get some of the terminology wrong
13:03 but basically what they said
13:05 was the new version of full self-driving
13:09 is a neural net so it's basically like
13:13 you know the equivalent of a large
13:14 language model it's it's it's it's a um
13:17 it's an
13:19 AI engine rather than a coded engine and
13:24 what they said in the announcement was
13:26 that that full self-driving is is a
13:30 uh is a neural net and they threw out
13:36 300,000 lines of C++
13:39 code so here's why that's significant
13:43 historically with computers if you
13:44 wanted them to do something you had to
13:46 tell them what to do so what full
13:49 self-driving was up to this point was a
13:51 lot of coding a lot of logic that
13:54 programmers wrote in that said if you
13:56 see a a a round you know uh octagonal
14:01 sign with white letters in it then
14:03 that's a stop sign and here's the rules
14:05 for what you do and they wrote all that
14:08 logic that was all thrown
14:11 out or 300,000 lines of it I assume it
14:14 was a fair amount of the code base was
14:16 thrown
14:17 out
14:19 for uh you know a a a machine learning
14:23 model a neural network that's a big
14:26 deal I think that a lot of compan
14:31 um are going to be faced with that
14:35 decision right where the it Department's
14:38 like here's all the [ __ ] we've built and
14:41 then some AI tools are going to come
14:44 along and at some point you know they
14:47 will suck less and they'll have security
14:48 and things like
14:50 that but a completely different Paradigm
14:53 of application developments going to
14:55 come along and and it organizations are
14:58 going to be for fored with this Choice
15:00 do we
15:02 maintain this massively complicated
15:05 logic based code base or do we give it
15:07 up for this AI thing the AI obviously
15:10 needs to get better before that can
15:11 happen but I think um competitive
15:15 advantages are going to be forged by the
15:17 companies who can move quickly and not
15:20 get precious about the technology
15:22 they've built I think this is how
15:25 startups are going to be funded moving
15:27 forward I think this is how large
15:30 companies are going to survive is which
15:31 companies are willing
15:36 to look at those two choices and and
15:41 choose the choose the one that that
15:44 requires less
15:45 maintenance and is just more effective
15:48 right he didn't throw out the code he
15:51 didn't throw out 300 lines of code or
15:53 300,000 lines of
15:54 code
15:56 um because it required people to write
15:59 he threw them out cuz they didn't work
16:01 as good and not because those people
16:03 were bad programmers it's just it's a
16:05 different thing when you have a system
16:07 when you have a neural network that
16:09 learns the behavior of what it means to
16:11 drive well versus human beings have to
16:15 coding code in that logic it's just a
16:17 different
16:18 thing have you seen open CV um I don't
16:23 think
16:24 so sounds familiar
16:28 though
16:33 open
16:37 CV computer vision Library oh
16:42 nice yeah open CV is the world's largest
16:45 computer vision Library nice oh that's
16:47 cool oh okay
16:49 cool I
16:51 mean here's the deal they've got they've
16:55 got what 20 years or 15 years of
16:59 a video of of cars doing things well and
17:03 poorly so I think they're fine on that
17:06 but yeah that's the ability to train on
17:08 big models like that it's very
17:10 cool or big data sets like that Kyle
17:14 have you seen the Sor short film called
17:16 Airhead yeah Airhead is really good here
17:17 we we can we can play airhead I I played
17:19 this the day it came out but it's it's a
17:22 fun one to
17:24 watch um let's see
17:27 uh open a
17:30 i.com
17:36 blog if you haven't seen Airhead so Sora
17:39 if you don't know what that is is open
17:42 AI pending but unavailable video model
17:47 and then this was a um let's call this a
17:51 PR play this was a blog post Sora First
17:56 Impressions we've gained valuable
17:58 feedback from the creative Community
18:00 helping us to improve our model and then
18:02 like the first prompt they have here is
18:04 Sora is at its most powerful when you're
18:07 not replicating the old but bringing New
18:10 Life to Impossible ideas we would have
18:12 otherwise never had the opportunity to
18:15 see well so isn't that nice this is a PR
18:20 paper this is a PR blog post that
18:23 basically says see this isn't going to
18:26 take all the creative jobs the creatives
18:28 love us look at the videos they made and
18:31 look they're saying cool things like
18:33 it's not going to take your job uh yeah
18:36 this
18:36 is whatever I don't give this much
18:39 credibility
18:40 but what they did do was they put out uh
18:44 some videos and some most of the videos
18:45 are like 7 Seconds long but this one
18:47 from this group out of uh Toronto called
18:49 shy kids um put together this video
18:53 which I think is quite
18:58 good
18:59 [Music]
19:09 well they say everyone has something
19:10 unique about them something that sets
19:12 them apart it's just in my case you know
19:15 it's quite obvious what that thing
19:17 is I am literally filled with hot air
19:21 yeah living like this has its challenges
19:24 uh windy days for one are particularly
19:27 Troublesome or there was a one one time
19:29 my girlfriend insists that I go to the
19:30 cactus store to get my Uncle Jerry a
19:32 wedding
19:34 present what do I love most about my
19:37 predicament the perspective it gives me
19:39 you know I get to see the world
19:40 differently I float above the mundane
19:43 and the ordinary I see things a
19:45 different way from everyone else yeah
19:47 and I feel like it's because of that
19:48 perspective I'm reminded every day that
19:50 life is fragile we're all just a pin
19:52 prick away from deflation so I try to
19:55 live life with a lightness a buoyancy
20:02 I got a lot of ideas keeping this thing
20:03 full with any luck I'll find a way to
20:07 share them with everyone
20:11 else right lovely and you know what what
20:15 makes that good well it's good
20:17 storytelling it's good writing it's good
20:19 acting it's good music it's good editing
20:22 and then they happen to have a tool that
20:23 makes some good
20:25 video oh Sora powered by sunno sorry I
20:29 say suo I meant Sora sorry
20:32 sorry I when you have when you have two
20:35 nonsensical words that are that close in
20:38 spelling and pronunciation it's a rough
20:41 one um yeah I I think I'll be con
20:43 confusing them for a
20:45 while
20:48 um but you know that's nice it's nice
20:52 what a cute Airhead yeah it's cute good
20:54 writing
20:58 right
21:01 I hope they don't use drivers data here
21:05 in Miami that would be a disaster that's
21:07 really
21:10 funny uh what's shy kids oh shy kids is
21:14 just the production company production
21:16 company out of
21:17 Toronto there you go made using
21:19 Sora that I don't think that was sunno
21:23 background music I think that was a nice
21:25 track and a nice voice
21:28 over it was
21:42 [Music]
21:49 good I want to see that but with helium
21:52 oh that would be
21:55 funny my
21:58 name's
22:01 no I meant sunno and Sora working
22:03 together oh you said it right oh okay
22:05 good Chris I thought I thought I misook
22:08 Sora from sunno it doesn't matter Sora
22:11 is the video thing sunno is the music
22:16 thing I'm not playing around with the
22:18 new chat GPT oh I'm playing around with
22:20 the new chat GPT image stuff not
22:22 impressed anyone else have any thoughts
22:24 Lori uh yes not impressed in fact I did
22:27 a I did a LinkedIn post I think I gotta
22:29 go change my shirt it's hard to read
22:31 everything on it let me go change my
22:32 shirt um yeah the the here's here's my
22:36 take on the chat GPT image editing
22:39 stuff that they have
22:42 added an ability to refine your images
22:45 thumbs
22:46 up that they have added a shitty not
22:50 very functional doesn't work most of the
22:53 time tool not so
22:57 good janky is as janky does let me go
23:00 change my
23:14 [Music]
23:27 shirt
23:46 all right we got a big ad for Story vine
23:48 here that's my company Story
23:51 vine when you need stories so ripe you
23:55 can pick them off the vine all right no
23:58 officer I wasn't drinking my car was
24:01 hallucinating yeah well that there's
24:03 going to be all sorts of weird ass
24:05 lawsuits and craziness coming mid
24:09 Journey generating images and they won't
24:11 allow you to remix because it violates
24:13 terms of service yeah and listen guys
24:17 here's the deal with all these tools
24:19 right now expect them to be inconsistent
24:22 expect them to be um
24:25 frustrating expect them to be
24:31 uh just this side of
24:34 usable and I mean the bad side of usable
24:38 just they're like almost there they're
24:40 almost
24:41 transformative suo means listen Sora
24:44 means face in erdo are both of those in
24:48 erdo that's pretty
24:50 cool listen and face
24:56 interesting
24:57 huh I expect them to be consistently
25:00 inconsistent I've learned to breathe so
25:04 so I'm Zen Noel that's really good I
25:07 like it I just worked so hard to get an
25:10 AI positive image I I couldn't get it to
25:14 give me a woman
25:20 oh
25:22 [Laughter]
25:25 lord it's just crazy it's just nuts um
25:30 all right let me go show you go show you
25:32 two new things in chat GPT one I've
25:34 showed before but it's still it's an
25:36 obscure little feature
25:39 ah
25:41 sorry I don't know what's going my
25:43 eyeballs they're itchy
25:46 um Kyle all I want is an Iron Man
25:49 powered nanot technology suit am I
25:51 asking for too much you're not Chris
25:54 listen here's the deal we're three we're
25:57 three years away from nano nanot
25:59 technology Iron Man suits like you're
26:01 going to absolutely have one you just
26:03 got to hang out and listen apparently if
26:06 if all of us like survive the next five
26:08 years we'll have hit the the healthc
26:11 care Horizon where they're going to cure
26:13 all the disease so so we're going to
26:15 live forever we're going to have Iron
26:16 Man suits we're going to have flying
26:17 cars we're going to have personal robots
26:20 in our house we're going to have Rosie
26:22 from the
26:23 Jetson we just got to we just got we
26:26 just got to like right now in like the
26:29 primordial soup phase where it's just
26:31 like bloop bloop bloop and we're just
26:34 we're trying to swim in it and it's like
26:36 it's not really water is it like we
26:38 don't really know how to swim what is
26:40 this bloop
26:42 bloop we just got to hang in there for
26:45 two
26:46 years three years five years some amount
26:48 of
26:52 years we're all going to be Tony Stark
26:54 eventually I I mean what's what's just
26:57 wild is we are we're going to have those
27:01 tools and it's going to seem normal it's
27:03 going to seem normal that you can just
27:05 talk into a little box or just talk into
27:07 your
27:08 glasses and [ __ ] will happen things will
27:11 go do stuff for
27:14 you the one the the one thing that's
27:17 kind of blowing my mind right now that
27:19 was in
27:20 a I think it was in one of the Paul
27:23 rater yeah it was it was in like two or
27:25 three weeks ago Paul rater's AI podast
27:31 um he was talking about something that I
27:34 think Andre carpath had talked about
27:36 years ago but about autonomous
27:39 agents and what autonomous agents are is
27:41 like imagine a chat GPT that you could
27:44 just give it a goal and then it would
27:47 figure out all the steps it needs to do
27:49 and it would just go do that right so
27:50 that's an autonomous agent but what
27:52 they're more like is it's like it's like
27:56 you own the beehive and you give the
27:59 Beehive a goal and then you have all
28:01 these little drone bees that all go do
28:04 specific things so when you give one of
28:07 these autonomous agents a goal it spins
28:10 up a whole bunch of agents that it it
28:12 manages and then they all go often do
28:15 different things just like worker bees
28:16 and you know some will take care of the
28:18 hive and some will go out and get
28:19 flowers and pollen and some will take
28:21 care of the
28:22 queen and and we're all going to
28:27 have a little little army of Agents
28:30 that'll that'll work on our behalf and
28:32 the the way they described it
28:36 is
28:37 imagine having a company of a thousand
28:41 employees at your
28:43 disposal that that's what it's going to
28:45 be
28:46 like it's like whoa wait what like even
28:51 if I had a company of 10 employees at my
28:54 disposal that were all good at stuff
28:57 this one's good at DES this one's good
28:59 at coding this one's good at selling
29:01 this one's good at right and I can just
29:03 be the
29:05 conductor the era of the the massively
29:09 successful solopreneur we're we're about
29:12 to enter it how about a scenario where
29:15 corporations have ai Wars cyberpunk
29:17 style well
29:20 I it's so funny Chris like I think I I I
29:24 think we're very much going to go there
29:25 and I and I don't think it'll just be
29:27 Corporation fighting Corporation I think
29:30 it's going to also be things
29:35 like when we have that
29:37 agent a you you know when we have
29:39 autonomous
29:42 agents one of the
29:46 tragedies in a in America right now is
29:49 our health care System right and it's a
29:52 tragedy because it's been privatized and
29:55 and
29:56 um it's a for-profit system system right
29:59 and so is
30:00 insurance is a for-profit system and so
30:03 what the insurance companies do is they
30:05 make it nearly
30:07 impossible so not only is it
30:09 ridiculously expensive it's nearly
30:12 impossible to use their system they make
30:16 it overly complicated on purpose right
30:20 so imagine a day which that day could be
30:24 this year it could be next year it'll
30:26 likely be you know sometime later this
30:27 year or early next year when you can
30:30 just
30:31 say hey um chat gbt or whatever the [ __ ]
30:35 tool I'm
30:37 using go read my insurance
30:40 policy and start negotiating on my
30:43 behalf and then our my agent will go
30:47 read my policy and we'll start
30:50 interacting with United
30:53 Healthcare and
30:55 then maybe right now it's people but
30:57 it's probably Bots and so what it's
31:00 going to be is my AI Bots my autonomous
31:03 agents are going to be interacting with
31:05 their autonomous agents and then those
31:07 are going to be interacting with the
31:08 doctor's autonomous agents and they can
31:10 all go [ __ ] work that [ __ ] out just
31:12 get back to me when you've solved
31:15 it and I you know I think
31:18 that I mean that obviously sounds more
31:20 convenient and it it sounds like it's
31:22 going to be more effective but that is
31:24 by
31:25 definition going to change how they do
31:28 what they do because right now a big
31:30 part of their profit is based on human
31:33 beings not being able to decipher the
31:36 insanity well what happens when when
31:39 human beings can figure out all the
31:40 loopholes and and exploit them what
31:43 happens when we do that with the tax
31:45 code what happens right with all all
31:47 that stuff so I just secretly cyborg my
31:51 way through 12 hours of work in 20
31:53 minutes sorry not
31:56 sorry cuno Chris is Chris works for a
32:00 major major
32:01 company knock it out in an hour why not
32:06 why not and then spend another hour
32:08 proofreading it make sure it's good
32:11 right crazy they're going to write
32:14 contracts in C++ with some string theory
32:17 to test you then yeah well you
32:20 know they will um yeah the the battles
32:25 the battles will ensue and and I mean
32:27 it's going to be fascinating
32:30 um what's going to be fun for the next 5
32:33 years is those of us like those of you
32:36 that come here and hang out and are
32:37 exploring this stuff and get curious
32:39 about
32:40 it we're going to start playing with
32:43 autonomous agents before companies know
32:47 what AI is much less what autonomous
32:49 agents are if you want to see a fun
32:52 company that's that's doing this right
32:54 now there's a company called do not pay
32:57 uh which is a a virtual lawyer that will
33:00 dispute your parking tickets and things
33:02 like that and I think it's expanding now
33:04 to do other law
33:06 stuff um but that thing's really
33:08 successful because it's interfacing with
33:11 systems that don't know it's a
33:14 robot right it's inter it's interfacing
33:17 with bureaucracies so it writes the
33:20 professional letters that bureaucracies
33:22 respond to and it's doing it in an
33:24 automated way what do I think of Devon
33:26 AI I think I think Devon AI
33:28 um is a video right now I know some
33:32 people have used it and the people have
33:34 used it said okay it's pretty good um
33:37 it's it's pretty expensive it's pretty
33:39 slow uh and by expensive basically you
33:42 give it your open AI API
33:45 key and then it goes and just does a
33:47 bunch of [ __ ] making all sorts of calls
33:49 back and forth
33:51 um and it's and it's janky but Devon for
33:56 me represents the first sort of
33:58 acknowledged commercial
34:01 application that is an autonomous agent
34:04 right you give it a goal it creates a
34:06 project plan and it then Works its way
34:09 through its project plan it's got a
34:11 command line interface that it can you
34:14 know do stuff with it's got uh a
34:18 development environment where it can
34:20 write code and it's got a browser where
34:23 it can run the code and and test it
34:28 and then it when it has a bug it goes
34:31 and it finds where the bug was and it
34:33 puts in code to test the bug and it
34:35 debugs itself and it rewrites the code
34:38 and it gives you your
34:39 stuff um it looks like the uh it looks
34:43 like
34:44 the examples so far are pretty primitive
34:48 but here's the thing here's what I think
34:50 about Devon why I think Devon's
34:53 interesting
34:56 is right now Devin is about
35:01 um hang on I'm going to the Irregulars
35:04 Channel E I stepped in groc it's a
35:07 steaming pile of [ __ ] that's
35:09 funny oh that's
35:12 awesome oh that's really cool who did
35:14 that is that Silver Fox nice look I
35:18 tested I tested and I'm AI positive
35:21 that's really good actually that's a
35:23 t-shirt we we should make that's really
35:26 good AI
35:29 that's awesome we got no answers the
35:31 information lab boy that is not far off
35:35 from my hair man other than a little
35:37 bont in the front that's pretty bad it's
35:39 it's pretty awful congratulations your
35:42 AI positive these are good these are
35:44 good memes I think we should go put
35:45 these on the the uh the x.com they call
35:48 it that's great
35:53 nice where I am if you're wondering I'm
35:55 over in the in the AI Irregulars Channel
35:59 um at the AI
36:01 Salon which
36:04 is not that that if you go to the
36:08 salon. that'll take you to a link tree
36:10 and then the first link is says AI Salon
36:13 Community if you click on that that'll
36:16 take you over to this
36:20 website that is where we hang out so
36:23 there's about 1,400 members in here
36:25 right now um if you go to welcome to the
36:28 salon when you get there you can read
36:30 about who we are why we do what we do
36:32 basically think of the AI Salon is an AI
36:36 positive community that that if you're
36:39 trying to figure out who you can talk to
36:41 about all this AI stuff because it's
36:43 weird right now um this is what this
36:46 community is and our values our
36:48 curiosity generosity exploration
36:52 collaboration inclusion empathy and
36:55 gratitude and and so go read about what
36:58 we're about and come hang out in the
37:00 group like you whether you're an expert
37:03 at this stuff which no one is quite
37:04 frankly uh or you're just getting
37:06 started jump in introduce yourself um
37:10 there's all sorts of resources in here
37:12 uh there's this section called AI
37:14 Launchpad and tools this is a whole list
37:16 of tools that I I personally maintain
37:19 this list and recommend tools so if
37:21 you're trying to get started and figure
37:22 out where do I begin uh we've got that
37:25 we've got different um Show and Tell
37:28 areas for for music images video and
37:31 apps and gpts um we've got guilds we've
37:34 got creative business Tech and social
37:37 impact and then a bunch of different you
37:39 know sub communities with within each of
37:41 those guilds and then we even have
37:42 private clubs and we've got our own
37:44 private club the Irregulars and so if
37:47 you want to like do kind of a visual jam
37:49 session tonight um you just drop images
37:53 in here and we can kind of you
37:55 know hang out with each other and and do
37:58 that kind of thing so that's the AI
37:59 salon so go check that out um let me
38:02 show you a couple of new features in
38:05 chat
38:07 J
38:09 so let me go get
38:12 [Applause]
38:14 a all right so here's a um Musical that
38:19 I'm working
38:21 on and it's it's it's an AI theme um but
38:28 here's a problem so I'm in a super long
38:31 chat here right so I uploaded a
38:33 brainstorming PDF I had some long
38:36 conversations I made some tables I made
38:39 some song lyrics I made some other [ __ ]
38:41 I made some other [ __ ] right it's just
38:43 long it's a lot so how many times have
38:45 you been in a really long chat like
38:48 that and somewhere up above you kind of
38:52 had an idea and you ran down a rabbit
38:54 hole and you're and you're like I'd like
38:55 to get back to some earlier part of the
38:57 conversation right or or there's just
39:00 something earlier you want to rewrite
39:03 the lyrics to a to a verse or whatever
39:05 so there's a new feature in chat GPT
39:08 where you can actually do that so let's
39:10 see Hello on the line what's your quest
39:13 okay that I don't like so let's I can
39:16 highlight the verse in the chorus and
39:19 notice now there's a this little quote
39:23 here and if I roll over it it says
39:25 Reply so I'm actually going to reply to
39:29 the thing I highlighted so you know
39:31 farther up in the conversation I
39:34 highlight it I click on that little
39:35 quote and It quotes it as part of my
39:38 prompt it's kind of like uploading a
39:40 document or uploading an image it's
39:42 quoting that little chunk you
39:44 highlighted now I can go um
39:49 rewrite
39:52 this to
39:55 start
39:56 um
39:58 what's
40:02 your
40:08 [Music]
40:13 name and so it rewrites it like it knows
40:16 to rewrite the verse in the chorus and
40:18 nothing else and before there was no
40:20 really good way to do that my Samsung
40:22 phone updated tonight and it's got all
40:24 kinds of AI in it now oh yeah yeah it
40:27 looks like Samsung's throwing a bunch of
40:29 stuff in there um be curious to know if
40:32 you think it's any good
40:35 um so that's one thing and then that's
40:40 the I don't know what that feature is
40:41 called but basically highlight any text
40:43 in a in a conversation and then click on
40:46 the quote button and you can interact
40:48 with just that little chunk of text
40:50 which is I think that's pretty slick
40:51 little feature and you know what I think
40:54 almost no one will use that
40:58 not because it's not a great feature but
41:00 because you have to be pretty much a
41:02 power user to understand why you would
41:04 need to use it in the first place and
41:06 then you have to be like a a ux
41:10 sleuth to recognize that there's some
41:12 button
41:14 there um you you know it just pops up
41:17 this quote at the top of something you
41:19 select not at the bottom where you
41:21 finish selecting it like if you drag
41:23 down that quote is at the top right so
41:26 if you do a long thing that quote's
41:28 going to go off the screen did you ever
41:31 get to see the profile file in Silver
41:34 from the 1980s Twilight
41:36 Zone we're in that Tech no I don't know
41:41 profile in
41:42 silver let me
41:44 see
41:46 Twilight oh let me do a new chat
41:51 [Music]
41:56 actually
42:00 what's the plot of The Twilight Zone
42:03 profile in
42:05 silver that's related to where we are
42:09 with AI
42:20 today uh it's just writing one no that's
42:22 not
42:23 it I don't know what that one
42:26 was
42:28 Kyle that feature is not available in
42:30 the Samsung chat GPT
42:33 app interesting the power user user will
42:36 be using that I have total reason to use
42:38 that quote option yeah but Cindy you're
42:41 you're an absolute beast on this stuff
42:44 right I I'm just talking about like most
42:46 people don't know what uh custom
42:49 instructions are cuz it's not an obvious
42:51 thing just saw Riley bound brown post
42:55 about LTX Studio beta you would be
42:58 really into it Kyle yeah well he got
43:01 access to it I don't think I have access
43:03 to it
43:04 yet um no I'm I'm dying to get LTX
43:08 Studio let me see if I got any any
43:10 emails from them I'm on the wait
43:14 list
43:16 nope not oh wait lyx hang on hold please
43:21 L
43:25 TX nope thanks for joining finding the
43:28 waiting
43:38 list oh we were going to show
43:41 um we were going to
43:43 show the editing feature for Dolly 3
43:47 images Okay
43:49 so let's
43:52 see make me a 16x9 wide
43:56 image of
44:02 a 50s rat rod in front of a chrome Diner
44:07 at sunset on Route
44:10 66 period the style should be cinematic
44:18 photography all right we'll just leave
44:20 it at
44:23 that uhoh come on chat GPT are you live
44:27 what do you you
44:34 doing that was
44:54 weird chat gbt's out to lunch I shared R
44:58 ryley's video with you in a DM great
45:01 thank you awesome okay so what we now
45:07 have there's our image our Dolly image
45:10 it's the danger Diner oh I love that
45:14 name all right that's
45:16 good so okay so now it says select an
45:21 area of the image to edit so if I close
45:24 this I can either download the image I
45:27 can look at the prompt or I can click on
45:30 this
45:31 little icon right here which is a
45:34 paint uh palette with a paintbrush it is
45:37 such a bad Icon by the way but if I
45:41 click on it I
45:43 then have a little
45:47 paintbrush where I can make bigger or
45:49 smaller and it's just
45:52 round and then let's see let's see what
45:56 I want to do
45:58 uh I'll highlight this area
46:02 here and then so so now I'm going to do
46:06 what's called in painting so I'm going
46:07 to try to create something right
46:10 here and I'm going to put
46:14 um
46:16 um
46:19 racing
46:21 motor
46:24 cycle all right and so it's got my
46:28 selection as the input along with my
46:31 prompt and now it's going to create a
46:34 new
46:37 thing and it should leave most of the
46:39 image alone but just put a motorcycle
46:42 right there that's what it should
46:49 do oh Chad gvt you're so
46:54 cute I'll show you something that
46:56 happened earlier that I think [ __ ]
47:04 hilarious MJ Alpha now allows you to
47:07 organize your images and folders
47:09 nice okay
47:13 so there's our
47:17 image there's our new image there's no
47:19 motorcycle
47:21 there all right so
47:24 let's highlight some sky let's do we'll
47:28 highlight
47:29 this we'll highlight all the
47:34 sky and rather than a
47:40 sunset we'll grab all this
47:44 Sky we'll
47:48 say
47:52 Moonrise and Starry
47:56 Knight
47:59 we'll see if we can get it to change it
48:01 from day to
48:03 night I'm so glad I watched this I
48:06 thought you were I thought you just
48:08 circled something I didn't realize the
48:10 erase
48:11 part what's the erase part I don't think
48:14 I didn't erase oh but maybe there's
48:16 a maybe if you hold down the option key
48:19 or something like that you can erase
48:26 probably
48:28 [Music]
48:31 why release a feature that doesn't work
48:33 well it sort of worked a couple of times
48:35 for
48:36 me see it put a moon here it put it put
48:40 a moon I don't know why you're saying it
48:43 doesn't work you bitter people there's a
48:46 star there's another star and there's a
48:48 moon it totally worked that totally were
48:51 100
48:52 1,000% the danger Diner pictures exactly
48:56 how I want wanted it so let me show you
48:58 something funny that happened today so I
49:07 am this it
49:11 yeah okay
49:14 so so I made this drag racing um fire
49:21 truck which is cool and like see how
49:24 there's some scattered people in the
49:25 stands the stands were completely empty
49:27 so I drew in the stands and I said add
49:29 fans and it left big blotches still
49:32 empty like like this isn't apparently a
49:34 very popular
49:37 truck and then what I did was there's a
49:40 Little Smoke Stack here and I
49:42 highlighted the
49:43 sky and I said you know billowing black
49:48 smoke and and it didn't do anything and
49:52 then so I put into chat gbt hey it
49:55 didn't do anything and then chat GPT
49:58 responded with
50:07 this it's like you want billowing smoke
50:09 I'll give you billowing smoke you
50:11 bastard now the nice thing is it filled
50:14 the stands with
50:16 fans it gave us a Fronton view of our
50:19 fir truck um and it's got It's got three
50:23 a blower and um four jet tur
50:29 turbines that are apparently powered by
50:32 diesel isn't that
50:34 crazy so Gemini bear comes to mind yeah
50:38 this is this is a uh this is a shitty a
50:43 shitty feature right now environmental
50:46 so going I hate that yeah
50:50 um yeah but embrace the Jank right like
50:53 like again just go play with it it's
50:55 you're going to be able to do something
50:57 good I mean quite frankly if I really
50:59 wanted to do inpainting and out painting
51:01 on an image I created in Del I'd jump
51:03 over to photoshop and use Photoshop
51:05 generator to fill because it works right
51:08 so here's how I look at
51:11 this this
51:13 is at least we're getting indications
51:16 from open AI that they're thinking about
51:20 refinement tools right this is not just
51:22 about vomiting out crap and then us
51:25 having to go deal with it
51:27 these tools are going to get more
51:29 sophisticated and what they produce is
51:31 going to get more sophisticated so I'm
51:34 thinking about how much open AI is
51:36 learning from all the experimenting yeah
51:38 absolutely and I mean every time someone
51:40 types in there you didn't get it right
51:42 that's wrong you know you did nothing
51:44 that you know they'll learn from that
51:45 they'll the the you know they'll they'll
51:47 figure this out so anyway but it's it's
51:50 it's a bit of a piece of crap right now
51:52 so for what it's worth for what it's
51:56 worth
51:57 what a cool passive aggressive response
51:59 that's exactly what I wrote in my
52:00 LinkedIn
52:02 profile but that's exactly what I wrote
52:06 I put
52:09 um uh I did a post with the fire
52:15 trucks show all
52:20 [Music]
52:22 posts I
52:25 said open AI is quietly rolled out image
52:29 editing um let's see trying to make it
52:33 bigger for
52:36 you image editing inating for Dolly 3
52:39 images in chat gp4 unsurprisingly it is
52:42 janky but still nice to see refinement
52:44 tools emerge here's a fun example of the
52:48 Jank on the left I selected the sky
52:50 above the exhaust pipe and said add
52:52 black smoke it did nothing I prompted
52:55 you didn't add any smoke GPT responded
52:58 with the image on the right a little
53:00 passive aggressive aren't we chat
53:04 GPT and I think I tagged them I thought
53:06 I tagged
53:08 them oh they're they're tagged up
53:12 here pretty funny per
53:16 funny oh
53:22 [Music]
53:25 yeah
53:36 down we just came for the
53:38 smoke so that how it has to work so
53:41 that's how it has to work I uploaded an
53:46 image I uploaded an image doing the edit
53:49 too oh
53:53 interesting you can do that let's see
54:04 Plus
54:07 open
54:17 oops I don't have the edit things
54:25 there
54:28 [Music]
54:33 I
54:34 successfully use the edit button on text
54:37 in an image oh that's interesting let's
54:40 go try that that's a good idea MOS um
54:43 okay so let's
54:50 do a 16x9 wide
54:53 photograph of a billboard on Route 66 in
54:58 the
55:02 1950s the text on the
55:08 billboard the text on the
55:12 billboard
55:14 says gas period food period
55:20 AI three miles
55:25 ahead we'll throw that all in
55:38 quotes there's an
55:44 arrow pointing
55:48 up
55:51 and an image of a gas pump a hamburger
55:56 and a
56:04 robot Source Camp posted in The
56:06 Irregular chat about a Kyle Fair next
56:09 month in Tech in Texas oh yeah they had
56:12 that last year all the kyes all the kyes
56:15 in the world come down to Texas to hang
56:17 out oh no it didn't it failed on my
56:20 image please don't give me a
56:23 [ __ ] excuse for not making my image
56:27 now making another I'm editing the sink
56:29 with a chicken let's
56:33 see my dolly is saying to wait three
56:36 minutes okay look let's
56:39 see gas food AI okay it screwed it up so
56:44 let's go to our image here we're going
56:46 to edit
56:47 it and I'm going to highlight oops
56:53 sorry I'm going to highlight the word
56:55 food
57:00 I'm going to
57:01 say I'm just going to try food fo
57:06 D let see what that
57:11 [Music]
57:15 does every time I feel optimistic about
57:17 Humanity's future I watch Kyle's content
57:21 to humble
57:24 myself I I don't know what that means
57:27 does that mean that if
57:30 you're if you're optimistic about
57:32 Humanity's future you watch mine and I
57:35 make you feel pessimistic about
57:38 Humanity's future I I am I am uh all in
57:42 on
57:43 Humanity um but I think I think people
57:46 are going to have to get really good at
57:49 adapting oh look it fixed food nice it
57:53 did it people it did it all right all
57:56 right let's
57:57 see here's what I'm going to do I'm
58:00 going
58:01 to write over all that and I'm just
58:04 going to turn that into
58:06 a
58:09 juicy
58:20 cheeseburger anyone else having errors
58:22 in DOI mine says an error occurred yep I
58:24 just had that
58:25 too
58:28 I thought it was Jake's or
58:30 Jacobs oh wow yeah this is
58:34 good where else but here does I'm
58:37 editing the sink with the chicken makes
58:43 sense and that's good oh nice burger gas
58:50 food Ai and then I'm going to hi I'm
58:52 going to highlight the
58:55 car
58:58 and the little three miles ahead thing
59:01 and I'm going to
59:06 say oh can I
59:21 no I don't think there's a way
59:25 to turn this into an eraser shift
59:30 nope just clear selection yeah this is
59:33 this is janky ass
59:35 software um okay uh we're going to say
59:43 um
59:45 robot I'll say I'll say
59:51 humanoid oh here we go
59:54 human oid
59:57 robot in a lounge
1:00:01 [Laughter]
1:00:04 chair all right there we
1:00:07 go what am I
1:00:09 missing what can I have editing from
1:00:13 chat gp4 Jason are are you are so couple
1:00:17 of questions are you on desktop or
1:00:20 mobile and if you're on mobile are you
1:00:22 sure you're using the official chat GPT
1:00:24 app it is Poss possible you're using a
1:00:27 not official chat GPT
1:00:30 app
1:00:32 uh and it's also possible you just don't
1:00:35 have it I didn't have it last night a
1:00:37 bunch of showoffs in here had it and
1:00:39 they were like well I got I got editing
1:00:42 capability Kyle why don't you have
1:00:43 editing capability Kyle and I was like
1:00:45 cuz you're a dum
1:00:47 dum oh look it did it nice it did a nice
1:00:51 robot let's
1:00:53 see let me
1:00:55 do
1:00:57 this and I'll do the word guess this is
1:00:59 actually
1:01:01 useful this is actually useful I'm going
1:01:04 to put that in quote
1:01:07 marks
1:01:08 because you know if I'm just in the flow
1:01:11 and it's it's gotten me something close
1:01:13 and I'm like ah but it kind of screwed
1:01:14 up the words the fact that I can go in
1:01:16 and fix the words is nice wait what's
1:01:18 what's going on why did this why did
1:01:20 everything just dim the hell's going on
1:01:23 people the hell just oh it's dimmed
1:01:26 because it's it's creating something got
1:01:27 it never
1:01:30 mind I closed out my Chrome browser and
1:01:33 logged back out and I had it ah okay
1:01:36 yeah so if you don't have uh editing
1:01:39 it's
1:01:40 possible quit Chrome and come back in
1:01:42 good call
1:01:45 [Music]
1:01:55 Danielle
1:01:56 oh you know what we're going to do we're
1:01:57 going to add in a oh that's good that
1:02:00 worked all right let's see I'm going to
1:02:03 I'm going to make a little thing
1:02:07 here I'm going to say
1:02:11 um
1:02:17 white
1:02:20 Arrow
1:02:23 oops white Arrow
1:02:28 pointing
1:02:30 up
1:02:33 with three
1:02:36 miles or four miles is
1:02:44 fine below
1:02:50 it oh come
1:02:55 on
1:03:01 okay let's see what this does you can
1:03:03 change the size of the edit bubble yep
1:03:05 with the little
1:03:08 slider Sam loves us more Kyle I know
1:03:12 it's
1:03:15 [Music]
1:03:19 true gas food
1:03:23 Ai and look the period of the AI is the
1:03:27 robot's head I think that's very clever
1:03:29 what chat GPT did there little dolly you
1:03:33 can make money with
1:03:37 [Music]
1:03:43 ch oh I got nothing see I got nothing
1:03:46 but that's okay we're going to add
1:03:49 a right in
1:03:55 here
1:03:58 red
1:04:02 Cadillac
1:04:10 convertiable let's see if we can get it
1:04:12 to put a car in our
1:04:15 image I keep wasting my prompt saying
1:04:17 fix this spelling had no idea you could
1:04:21 edit
1:04:25 spelling
1:04:27 yeah well that's the I mean okay so one
1:04:30 of the things I talk about a lot in here
1:04:32 is just play play play just just keep
1:04:34 trying stupid [ __ ] because how you
1:04:37 discover how to prompt these things is
1:04:39 you stumble and fumble into it the the
1:04:42 whole idea of of having to get super
1:04:44 prescriptive with prompt engineering and
1:04:46 things like that you can you can go down
1:04:48 that path but that's not the only way to
1:04:51 do it look we got a red convertible it's
1:04:53 not
1:04:55 bad um
1:05:01 um oh here you know what we'll
1:05:11 [Music]
1:05:12 do
1:05:15 colorful hot air
1:05:22 balloon we'll put that there where's the
1:05:25 arrow it it failed on the arrow and I
1:05:27 didn't feel
1:05:28 like I just I just didn't feel like it
1:05:32 the moral of the story the morel of the
1:05:33 story oh that's very cute that's very
1:05:36 cute 10 out of 10 on the name I like it
1:05:40 not a 70s muscle C no cuz we're in the
1:05:42 we're in 1950s Route 66 you can't put a
1:05:45 7s muscle car in 1950s Route 50 Ro Route
1:05:49 66
1:05:51 no I learned so much tonight thank you
1:05:54 thank you you're welcome you're welcome
1:05:55 I'm I'm glad
1:05:58 I I you know what's funny about this
1:06:00 like I I I'm glad you learned a lot but
1:06:03 like I don't really know what I'm doing
1:06:05 here so well although I don't think that
1:06:09 that should be all of
1:06:11 that U like that seem that should be
1:06:14 pretty obvious uh it failed creating a
1:06:16 hot air balloon and look what it says a
1:06:18 color colorful hot air balloon now adds
1:06:20 a vibrant touch to the clear blue sky so
1:06:22 it understands what its mission was
1:06:25 let's
1:06:28 let make it round and then we'll go and
1:06:33 then we'll make this
1:06:35 smaller and we'll put like a
1:06:38 basket okay let's let's see if that
1:06:41 works um colorful hot air
1:06:48 balloon all right let's see what we get
1:06:55 people
1:06:59 all right let me go see if I can find
1:07:10 that that's when you learn the most with
1:07:12 trial and error yeah that's it really is
1:07:14 true does 1950s Route
1:07:16 666 look that different from 1970s Route
1:07:19 66 that's not the point Brandon it's a
1:07:22 very it's a very good point but it's not
1:07:24 the point all right we failed on the
1:07:27 balloon again uh let's see okay now it's
1:07:30 pissing me off let's see if
1:07:32 we make all of
1:07:38 this and
1:07:45 say a
1:07:51 colorful
1:07:54 rainbow hot air balloon
1:07:59 floats above the mountains in the
1:08:08 distance if you're watching me do this
1:08:11 and if the thought in your head is like
1:08:13 shouldn't it just
1:08:17 work yes yes it
1:08:21 should and if your next thought is well
1:08:25 does does that make you cranky yes yes
1:08:28 it does I told it no you
1:08:31 didn't um where are the raccoons and
1:08:34 then it did see the Irregulars oh that's
1:08:36 funny well that's what I did when I when
1:08:38 I I tried to get it to oh look there it
1:08:40 did it there you oh look and it added a
1:08:42 little
1:08:44 Cliff now it looks like it's a
1:08:47 completely different
1:08:49 photograph I mean come on that's like
1:08:52 way too vibrant um so let's see uh um oh
1:08:56 let's try this we're going to try
1:09:03 um reduce the vibrancy to match the
1:09:06 style of the
1:09:08 photo and create a 1950s appropriate
1:09:14 pattern in the
1:09:16 balloon let's see if we can get it
1:09:19 to
1:09:21 edit what it created that would be kind
1:09:23 of
1:09:24 interesting
1:09:34 all right let me go look at
1:09:37 Irregulars new activity
1:09:41 caran yum that's sock the raccoon sock
1:09:48 eaters I created the initial image
1:09:51 without the Yum and I added the yum in
1:09:53 the edit nice
1:09:56 kitchen soup Fells good congratulations
1:10:00 your AI
1:10:05 positive that's really funny first the
1:10:08 dryer oh first the dryer and socks then
1:10:11 yum then the raccoon very cool all right
1:10:14 let's see what what I did over here oh
1:10:17 now it it ate my balloon damn
1:10:21 [Laughter]
1:10:23 it oh come on
1:10:38 um a simple
1:10:40 colorful hot air
1:10:43 balloon appropriate for the
1:10:49 1950s color graded to match the
1:10:54 photo I don't even know if
1:10:57 that's the right thing to
1:11:13 say you're like Kyle isn't this taking
1:11:16 you like a ridiculous amount of time to
1:11:20 make a stupid
1:11:22 image yes put a plane there well put a
1:11:26 plane on the other
1:11:31 [Music]
1:11:38 side nothing no balloon and it also made
1:11:41 the sky sort of weird let me let me tell
1:11:45 it it failed
1:11:49 you
1:11:54 failed
1:11:56 oops
1:12:01 filed
1:12:03 you
1:12:05 failed to
1:12:09 make a
1:12:13 balloon try
1:12:17 again again try
1:12:22 again it'll be interesting to see if it
1:12:24 remembers the um mask I bet it won't cuz
1:12:29 I think that's why I got a whole new fir
1:12:31 trck drag racing picture is I told it to
1:12:35 fix it without selecting an
1:12:45 area come
1:12:48 on come on you Big Damn dum dump yep it
1:12:51 completely ate the ate the entire thing
1:12:56 we still have a robot we have gas food
1:12:59 we have no AI we have an arrow we have
1:13:01 four miles so it remembered that's
1:13:04 interesting it remembers parts of the
1:13:05 thing it actually put an airplane in it
1:13:08 but there's our red Cadillac convertible
1:13:11 made it
1:13:13 pink
1:13:15 huh interesting people interesting and
1:13:18 now what if I close this do I does it
1:13:21 keep all of those yes it does okay so
1:13:23 that's good so I can go back and I guess
1:13:26 I can go into any one of these and edit
1:13:28 them right yeah okay all right so that's
1:13:31 not bad listen it it's janky but it's I
1:13:36 I'll tell you
1:13:37 what what this absolutely solves is the
1:13:42 um is the misspelling thing like you
1:13:45 could just keep [ __ ] around with the
1:13:47 you know a single part of the image just
1:13:50 keep making the word word
1:13:53 better like the fact that I could get
1:13:57 to you know gas food AI with the
1:14:00 appropriate object beneath them like
1:14:02 that's pretty that's that's pretty
1:14:04 useful now I I could have also done that
1:14:07 in uh in photo slop but it's it's just
1:14:13 convenient to be able to knock it out
1:14:15 really quickly right here in chat GPT
1:14:17 there you go another satisfied customer
1:14:20 the open
1:14:21 AI GPT Aon my edits keep janking up the
1:14:25 Deep breaths cause claw has been helpful
1:14:28 take a deep breath take a deep
1:14:37 [Applause]
1:14:39 breath yeah yeah see yeah yeah see you
1:14:44 paluca
1:14:47 yeah download that let me go grab
1:14:54 it
1:14:56 [Music]
1:15:05 [Music]

1:15:51 Jr for those of you that don't know what
1:15:53 Dallas is Dallas was a TV show when
1:15:56 there were only three
1:15:58 channels and Fox News didn't exist Fox
1:16:01 network didn't exist there were only
1:16:04 three channels well there were some UHF
1:16:06 and VHF channels that nobody watched
1:16:09 those there were three
1:16:11 networks and so you basically watched
1:16:15 you
1:16:17 know there was only of of the three
1:16:20 networks on in any given hour one of the
1:16:23 shows was watchable and so Dallas was
1:16:26 one of those and it was a cultural
1:16:30 phenomena wait what we get gold stars
1:16:32 now yes you can make money with here's
1:16:36 the problem you don't know when you're
1:16:38 going to get

1:20:46 all to put something about me doing
1:20:50 something with skin
1:20:52 care uh in show and tell so feel free to
1:20:56 make images of me doing something with
1:20:58 my skin care regiment and I would do it
1:21:01 with batshit crazy hair and post it and
1:21:03 show and tell don't say AI learning lab
1:21:06 just make it sort of look like me doing
1:21:08 something with skin cream or
1:21:11 facials I leave for two minutes and Kyle
1:21:14 starts hair styling we're in the
1:21:16 simulation I I can't believe that Dallas
1:21:19 debuted on this day like that was not
1:21:21 planned at
1:21:23 all like as I was humming the Dallas
1:21:26 theme song I'm like wait what is this
1:21:28 and by the time I got to the end of
1:21:29 humming it I'm like wait is that the
1:21:31 Dallas theme
1:21:34 song it debuted today in 1978 that's
1:21:38 insane that's [ __ ] crazy all right
1:21:41 there's some psychic connection going on
1:21:43 here
1:21:45 people I love yall I got five
1:21:48 screenshots that's
1:21:51 crazy 46 years ago good Lord Twilight
1:21:55 Zone stuff Kyle it really
1:21:59 is it's all wacky we're I'm we're in
1:22:03 weird okay here's I'll I'll I'll leave
1:22:06 you with this to to think about I've
1:22:07 been talking I've been talking about
1:22:09 this a little bit on this
1:22:11 channel but I'm
1:22:14 increasingly here's what's weird about
1:22:18 AI generative AI the stuff that we're
1:22:20 playing with here chat GPT and the
1:22:24 like
1:22:25 the tool itself like what it's actually
1:22:28 doing is a relatively
1:22:31 straightforward mathematical calculation
1:22:34 right it takes a lot to get everything
1:22:37 into the vector space they call it the
1:22:40 latent
1:22:41 space but once it's in there it's a
1:22:44 relatively straightforward probability
1:22:47 calculation you type a prompt and it
1:22:51 makes a probabilistic waiting of some
1:22:55 token in Thousand dimensional
1:22:58 mathematical space it's this really
1:23:01 cold calculation it's a calculator it's
1:23:04 a probability calculator it's all it
1:23:07 is and yet when you interact with
1:23:10 it it doesn't feel like that it doesn't
1:23:13 feel like you're interacting with a bot
1:23:15 it feels like you're interacting with a
1:23:18 someone
1:23:21 and you
1:23:23 are
1:23:26 the the
1:23:28 the the large language model itself is
1:23:32 the tool the
1:23:34 framework that goes and finds the data
1:23:37 just like our
1:23:40 brain is the framework that goes and
1:23:42 finds the
1:23:44 data but it's the data that's the
1:23:47 interesting thing and the data is
1:23:48 memories and stories and language and
1:23:51 and and all of these um
1:23:55 patterns of interacting with other
1:23:58 humans right and the
1:24:02 world and so when you interact with chat
1:24:07 GPT the framework is this cold framework
1:24:10 but what you're interacting
1:24:12 with is like the output of humanity
1:24:16 that's been put on the public internet
1:24:18 for like the past five
1:24:21 decades that's what you're interacting
1:24:23 with so in this really weird way we are
1:24:25 all
1:24:27 collaborating with our past selves
1:24:32 collectively it's kind of a weird
1:24:35 psychic
1:24:37 thing and I know if pate's in here P's
1:24:39 going oh for [ __ ] sake it's
1:24:43 math but I'm telling you that that's not
1:24:46 the experience the experience is weird
1:24:48 Ethan mik says it all the time he goes
1:24:51 it's weirder than
1:24:53 that like I know it's technically a
1:24:56 calculator it's weirder than that so the
1:25:00 fact that we stumbled onto some
1:25:02 synchronicity with the Dallas theme song
1:25:04 on the day that Dallas debuted I suppose
1:25:07 we had a 1 in 365
1:25:09 chance but still pretty cool maybe
1:25:12 humans are just calculators too they
1:25:14 actually you know it's funny if you
1:25:16 listen listen to Jeffrey Hinton je
1:25:18 jeffre hinton's called The Godfather of
1:25:21 AI um he invented a lot of the
1:25:23 infrastructure that all the stuff we use
1:25:25 is
1:25:26 built-on um he says the way large
1:25:29 language models
1:25:30 learn
1:25:32 is almost identical to how humans
1:25:37 do they're very very similar It's Magic
1:25:41 don't say that out loud Joker P's GNA
1:25:42 get
1:25:45 you it's a weird mirror it's a weird
1:25:48 mirror Mary Mary it is that's exactly
1:25:51 right when you interact with chat GPT
1:25:53 it's a weird mirror
1:25:55 into the US of the
1:25:57 past it's
1:25:59 weird it is it's very
1:26:03 weird it's a brain just artificial it's
1:26:06 irregular Papa JJ with the wi it's
1:26:10 irregular it is an irregular
1:26:13 experience so yeah all right cool um do
1:26:16 me a favor how many people are in here
1:26:18 85 people in here I need some follows
1:26:21 I'm like this close to 35,000 followers
1:26:24 and you know what happens at 35,000
1:26:27 followers not a [ __ ] thing but it's
1:26:31 cool so could you follow my channel so I
1:26:35 can get there I want to get over the
1:26:36 hump tomorrow's hump day I want to get
1:26:39 over the
1:26:40 hump 35,000 followers because you know
1:26:43 what I can then say to people yeah I'm
1:26:46 on tiktock I got a you know just north
1:26:48 of
1:26:50 35,000 you know what I got to say right
1:26:52 now well I've got a 34 4,000 900
1:26:58 and this just sad people look at me
1:27:00 they're like oh you haven't even cracked
1:27:02 35,000
1:27:04 yet I thought you were an influencer
1:27:07 with hair like that you're not an
1:27:10 influencer so anyway the point
1:27:13 being follow
1:27:15 me follow me um if you want to support
1:27:20 the channel would be appreciated you can
1:27:22 subscribe to it to the lives you can and
1:27:25 buy the uh video series in the corner
1:27:28 there the biggest way you can support
1:27:30 this channel is just keep showing up I'm

1:27:52 conversation is be in the AI
1:27:55 conversation join the AI
1:27:57 Salon go to the salon. ath

1:28:04 Salon Community join that show up here
1:28:08 thank you Empower pixels I appreciate
1:28:09 that a
1:28:10 lot it's a brain it's just an artificial
1:28:13 brain running on electricity and and the
1:28:15 human brain too yeah
1:28:18 exactly and power pixels got the number
1:28:20 one gifter
1:28:23 badge not number two not number
1:28:27 seven number one gifter badge thank you
1:28:30 Empower pixels you're awesome um but
1:28:33 just keep coming
1:28:36 back it will make a difference and if
1:28:38 you're feeling like totally
1:28:41 like I I don't know anything I'm so far
1:28:44 behind you all know what you're doing no
1:28:47 we
1:28:48 don't the stuff I showed
1:28:52 tonight I spent about 15 minutes on this
1:28:55 afternoon like I don't [ __ ] know how
1:28:57 to use that most of what I taught
1:29:00 tonight I just we all discovered in real
1:29:03 time and how we all Learned was we were
1:29:06 all just [ __ ] around at the same time
1:29:09 and that's kind of what this is about
1:29:10 use this time as an excuse to play with
1:29:13 this AI
1:29:14 stuff if you get some entertainment out
1:29:16 of me great if you get some knowledge
1:29:17 out of me great but really just use this
1:29:20 time
1:29:21 selfishly to be in the conversation to
1:29:23 be playing to be exploring to be trying
1:29:26 things to be posting in the the salon to
1:29:29 be asking questions in the salon to be
1:29:32 saying hey that thing you post is really
1:29:34 inspiring how did you do that start
1:29:36 conversations all right share with
1:29:39 non-believers do that
1:29:41 too as you start talking about this
1:29:43 stuff share my lives but also like out
1:29:46 in the world like if you're at at uh at
1:29:50 cinnabun and you're in line and there's
1:29:54 someone standing there and you hear them
1:29:55 talk about uh I don't know their
1:30:00 car say you know what else is like a car
1:30:07 AI getting an uncomfortable conversation
1:30:10 tell them what you're
1:30:15 learning it will serve you it really
1:30:19 will we're just hitting buttons on our
1:30:21 calculators we really are
1:30:26 all right everybody let me do the little
1:30:28 magic mirror thing
1:30:31 here you get a gold star and you get a
