7:37 oh good evening good people it's hump
7:40 day let's get
7:43 humping I think I might have just gotten
7:46 band off Tik Tock for live for life for
7:49 that
7:49 one that was
7:52 unfortunate you make will
7:56 Jud champy said and seen he just went
7:59 like
8:00 [Laughter]
8:03 facing away from me I just see dog butt
8:05 and cute little feet he's got he does
8:07 that beagle thing where his feet stick
8:09 straight out or maybe it's a French bull
8:10 thing I think it's a French bull
8:13 [Laughter]
8:17 thing That's mighty cute mighty cute dog
8:20 butt got to tell you that don't even
8:23 talk about being B Kyle I know
8:27 [Music]
9:13 if camels in commercials can say hump
9:15 day then so can we yeah Tick
9:19 Tock the word
9:22 hump is multi- tamell
9:26 [Laughter]
9:28 [Music]
9:35 lunar stick coming in Swinging with
9:37 Spanish wa is something solid um is
9:43 something big going on tonight only 12
9:45 people in
9:46 here I don't know maybe this is just
9:49 maybe maybe this is it it's just it's
9:53 it's you5 and me we're done we're done
9:56 Tik tok's Tik tok's tired of it
10:01 people are tired of it people are
10:02 flicking through they're just like nope
10:05 nope no I'm telling you I I think I
10:08 think we need to revert to the manini
10:10 who would stop watching no
10:17 [Music]
10:26 one all right good people of Internet um
10:32 do me a favor share the live let's see
10:33 if we can get more than 18 people in
10:35 here cuz you
10:37 know let's have a conversation we need
10:40 you know some more people in oh my
10:41 shoulders good Lord
10:49 ah
10:51 um I have a I have a fun thing I'm going
10:53 to do tonight um Lord digital Gods both
10:56 Lord digital gods and Brandon have done
10:58 some really interesting stuff with
10:59 taking
11:01 YouTube transcripts um and and you know
11:04 just done interesting or YouTube
11:06 transcripts of these lives in
11:08 particular um and uh and Lord digital
11:12 Gods um is just is doing all sorts of
11:16 interesting like analysis on like I
11:18 don't quite know what he's done I'm
11:19 going to have a meeting with him figure
11:20 out what the hell he's
11:21 done but I think I think he's embedded
11:24 embedded all the transcripts and so
11:27 they're now sort of GPT which actually
11:29 that's kind of an interesting that'd be
11:31 an interesting GPT um but he just told
11:33 me a stat I've got 760 hours
11:38 of AI learning Lab live
11:42 [Laughter]
11:46 content I I have been good about putting
11:49 it on YouTube you know I batch it up
11:51 every every two weeks or so I just vomit
11:54 some stuff up to YouTube so it's I don't
11:57 think I've missed
11:58 anything uh he said there were 12 days
12:00 missing those were the days I was banned
12:02 I think I was banned for two times seven
12:04 days each or three times seven days each
12:06 something like
12:08 that
12:12 um
12:14 but he did a cool thing he said he said
12:19 I guess to chat GPT yeah he's using GPT
12:21 for Omni um how many hours 760 Source
12:26 camp
12:30 it's like you know for a year and a half
12:32 it's it's probably averages just over
12:34 two hours a
12:35 [Laughter]
12:41 night like [ __ ] Joe Rogan over here
12:44 without the
12:45 audience without the millions but what
12:50 what I'm actually really excited about I
12:52 you know I had an instinct about this a
12:54 year ago was just you know just do it
12:59 and you know shit'll probably happen and
13:02 then um and then as the AI tools get
13:06 better you you'll probably a be able to
13:08 do something with the massive
13:10 content um and so yeah so I'm I'm kind
13:14 of excited about that but anyway what he
13:16 did was
13:17 he had chat GPT find all the interesting
13:23 quotes of you know stupid [ __ ] I've said
13:27 over the 760 hours and race the Jank
13:30 shows up a
13:34 lot I bet Tik Tok is not pushing it yeah
13:37 Tik tok's like yeah we're good with fat
13:40 gen xers we're we're done with them
13:43 turns out turns out it's it's hot gen Z
13:47 chicks
13:49 that it's hot gen Z chicks selling 3D
13:52 printer filament and Madagascar vanilla
13:55 that what are what we really want on
13:57 this platform
14:03 use Opus clip to make the shorts but
14:05 Opus clip aren't here's my problem with
14:08 all of the shorts generators is they're
14:09 all really [ __ ] expensive is there is
14:12 is there is there a uh is there a clip
14:16 generator that I could put 760 hours of
14:19 video in and not have it cost me
14:22 $8,000 so I don't know I I figure here's
14:28 my deal with it is I mean I I love that
14:31 these guys are are playing around with
14:33 this like
14:34 um digital Gods was saying that he's
14:37 he's using it to learn the the YouTube
14:38 API so cool um you know he learned
14:43 something we get some we get some cool
14:45 stuff out it out of it but you bought it
14:48 for your Biz but I mean how much is
14:49 there isn't there a limit Vicki of like
14:52 however much it is and then there's you
14:53 can do up to like 4 hours per month or
14:57 even 20 hours per month if I if I want
14:59 to do like you know more than that
15:02 that's going to be
15:03 pricey now's a good time to make me mod
15:07 to pin these 20ish
15:09 comments now good time to
15:13 me it's 26 now Jason that's get that's
15:18 that's that's you're you're you're
15:21 getting a little you're getting a little
15:22 Saucy there we're up to 26 this is it
15:26 builds you know what you know what this
15:28 has actually been happening these things
15:29 have been starting slow and by the time
15:31 we end they get to like a 100 so I don't
15:34 know maybe this one will get to 100
15:35 we're at 26 right now go tell a
15:37 friend somebody pinned a comment we're
15:40 getting there is there any anything that
15:42 will translate in real time text and
15:48 voice there
15:54 are
15:55 well chat gbt does it right now the chat
15:59 GP and Pi does it right now so if you go
16:02 to the chat GPT app this is not the new
16:05 model the new model's not coming out to
16:06 the fall so you can get you don't have
16:08 to worry about it
16:18 um I want you to act as a German you're
16:21 welcome if you ever need anything just
16:23 let me know have a great day great I
16:26 want you to act as a German translator
16:28 and when I speak in English I want you
16:30 to respond in German as if we're having
16:32 a
16:35 conversation of course that's not a
16:37 translator how can I help you
16:38 today uh how are your hot
16:44 dogs these an other hot
16:48 dogs aren't hot dogs called something
16:51 else in
16:55 German
16:57 yeah Frank ah Vena the frankf footer
17:01 very nice yeah so how are your veners
17:04 and frankf
17:14 Footers uh
17:16 oh I think I I think I confused it I
17:19 think I think the
17:26 ven my
17:28 my I'm I'm blushing is it is it a traff
17:31 woman here is it
17:35 me oh it's
17:42 better so yes yes there is something
17:45 that does Real Time translation it
17:47 exists the Babel Fish has been created
17:51 um and that's that shit's going to get
17:53 really good when when the real-time
17:54 voice comes out it's going to it's going
17:56 to be much better than that J V un
17:59 Frankfurter sh shown also we send year
18:05 winner un
18:11 frankfur get Frank to do a rant in
18:15 [Laughter]
18:24 German you know what's amazing is like
18:30 like that what I just did there and it
18:35 could like you know you can
18:37 go
18:43 um I want us to have a conversation and
18:45 I want you to randomly respond in a
18:48 different language each time
18:52 okay sure that sounds fun what would you
18:55 like to talk
18:57 about I'd like to talk about why there
19:00 are 52 playing
19:20 cards ah that makes sense now um let's
19:23 talk about why birds can fly
19:37 to ah Meri uh fantastic Bob tell him
19:42 what he's
19:53 [Music]
19:56 won uh why do drills Ro at the speed
20:00 they
20:08 do see if we can get an Eastern language
20:16 here why did the seamstress run with the
20:28 scissors M she was Rapido um did she
20:40 trip it looks like it's just cycling
20:42 between three or four of them maybe I
20:45 don't know all right
20:48 whatever but
20:50 anyway you
20:52 know like 6 months
20:55 ago that wasn't possible
20:59 it's like it's not like now you can do
21:02 that I mean I know you could buy
21:04 specialized software that did that I
21:05 think there was stuff that did that but
21:07 just as a general general purpose tool
21:10 that just translates [ __ ] for
21:16 you I tried to use it in a real world
21:20 situation once I was at a yard sale and
21:22 this woman only spoke Vietnamese but
21:24 when I tried to do it she just looked
21:26 looked at it weird and then looked at me
21:27 weird and then still
21:29 didn't she wouldn't talk into it so
21:33 didn't
21:38 matter
21:40 ah um I saw someone I think it was Papa
21:44 JJ said uh oh
21:47 Frank Frank is named after Frankfurter
21:50 yes that's why his name is
21:56 Frank Papa JJ little into the
21:59 [Laughter]
22:02 game oh man how many people are in here
22:05 29 we're we are we
22:08 are you know what it is we're in the
22:10 we're in the slow part of the roller
22:14 coaster it's going to be fine
22:19 [Laughter]
22:23 Martha Jimmy I'm nervous I hate this
22:30 oh all right we're already so spoiled
22:33 with this Tech three months ago our
22:34 minds would have been blown I know yeah
22:35 exactly we're like oh yeah the thing
22:37 talks all the different languages yeah
22:39 whatever but you know sometimes
22:40 hallucinate so it's not always right
22:42 I've been using AI now for like eight
22:45 months solid and I I use chat gbt at
22:48 least month a week and I write
22:51 everything well you know I write
22:53 occasionally I'll make an email I I've
22:55 drafted a paragraph in an email but I
22:57 I'm an expert I'm an expert this AI is
23:02 it's going to be big it's going to be
23:03 big it's going to be big everything's
23:05 going to change but yeah no I just I I
23:07 still I still just answer the phone yep
23:09 yep that's what that's that's
23:12 my I'm the phone
23:16 answerer I I don't prefer the term
23:18 receptionist I I'm not receiving
23:21 anything okay I just answer the phone
23:24 and occasionally get myself a coffee
23:27 okay so yeah don't if you could I just
23:30 I'm a little triggered with the word
23:32 reception it's just all right fantastic
23:36 all
23:40 right irregular motto better late than
23:43 never I'm here for the valuable AI news
23:45 but stay for the
23:47 [Laughter]
23:53 entertainment
23:55 uh did we learn anything nope was it
24:01 entertaining we're up to 30 people
24:06 we're um people
24:08 alert thank you
24:11 everybody hello Roxberry you're welcome
24:14 I had an
24:16 AI I had an AI ad to get youngans to use
24:19 it come across YouTube viewing
24:23 interesting interesting interesting all
24:26 right we're up to 13,000 likes oh look
24:28 we're going to we're going to have we're
24:30 going to have more likes by 10,000 than
24:33 people we have we're at 32 people we're
24:35 at 32 they are swarming
24:37 in it's like a drone swarm but the
24:41 people are coming to the lab they're
24:42 coming in they're like Kyle teach me
24:44 about
24:48 AI well I'm half an hour in and we
24:51 haven't even started this the 26 minute
24:53 hello
24:59 you know what's nice about the
25:05 the um you know what's nice about the
25:07 long intros it well at least I'll
25:09 justify it you know what's nice about
25:11 the excruciatingly boring
25:13 intros you can you can just put it on
25:16 speaker meander about the house make
25:19 yourself some nachos Tobias will fire up
25:22 the hot tub he's sitting in there with a
25:24 glass of Vino you know looking down at
25:26 the mountains or the plains or what the
25:29 hell I don't know where he lives but
25:30 he's got a hot tub there probably got
25:32 some sort of view maybe the neighbors
25:34 right neighbors have some sort of you
25:37 know bathroom window he sits just right
25:40 so he can see up
25:43 there why I don't know why I just
25:45 disparaged
25:47 [Laughter]
25:50 Tobias oh man already there Tobias is
25:53 already
25:55 there and he will neither confirm nor
25:57 deny that there is a view of a window of
26:00 a nearby
26:04 facility do not ask him that question
26:07 that is not fair finally we can start
26:09 all right Emilio's wife showed up
26:11 finally good Lord yes double demerit for
26:15 Amelio's wife tonight okay or was she
26:18 here early is she's just talking about
26:20 Tobias being in the
26:21 tub it's about
26:25 time um what do we want to do
26:30 I think I think I want to play with
26:34 Claude but I tried to I tried to get it
26:36 to do what what um chat GPT can do and
26:40 make a Word document and it couldn't do
26:42 that and that felt weird to me I I I
26:45 would have assumed that it could do that
26:49 [ __ ] late oh my oh
26:54 my that is
26:56 disappointing sunno all right what what
26:58 do what do you want to do at sunno Mr
27:07 it I know make songs but is there
27:10 something new there I should be looking
27:19 at make a song about
27:23 create log into your account
27:31 il's
27:32 [Music]
27:38 dream remember this
27:40 [Music]
27:43 Classic Blue live the bo Nam dreams so
27:47 true with a heart full of wonder and
27:49 eyes so bright he saw a world where
27:51 Darkness turned to light he'd watch the
27:54 Stars Whispering his Clea for a world
27:56 where everyone can be free in his mind a
28:00 vision so clear a future filled with
28:02 hope erasing every feeling his dream oh
28:05 can't you see building a world super
28:10 intelligence to
28:12 be with
28:20 [Music]
28:21 every yeah the tuba solo makes that
28:25 one and I I I sent that to Ilia and he
28:28 never got back to me oh you want to see
28:29 something fun I did well I thought it
28:32 was fun all this stuff I think is fun no
28:35 one gives a [ __ ] about you know whatever
28:37 whatever you big fat
28:39 loser
28:40 [Laughter]
28:46 um new cling video first person shooter
28:50 this is that Chinese video
28:54 company cling AI That's looking pretty
28:57 good uh
29:00 um um what did I do I went
29:04 to um what's her
29:07 name uh Ali K
29:11 Miller Ali
29:29 I think it might have been to
29:44 reply what you say oh I can do mine hang
29:47 on I I I'll figure out how to use Tik
29:50 Tok just Com or t Twitter or X or
29:54 whatever yeah I did that one okay so oh
29:57 yeah she goes she goes here's the gpts I
30:01 use non-stop off the top of my head
30:03 email like Ally multiple gpts to social
30:07 posts like Ally fiveyear goals reframe
30:09 Ai and so I said all work no play check
30:12 out Sin City sipper it may make your
30:14 list then and then I made her the Ali K
30:16 Miller
30:20 cooler is this Shadow band maybe we're
30:23 up to 38 people I don't I listen I sto I
30:27 stopped trying to
30:31 to I feel like algorithm chasing is just
30:35 is just like a Neurosis you know it's
30:38 like Neurosis gasoline so I'm just [ __ ]
30:42 it whatever just doing my thing uh if
30:46 people care I mean I know a bunch of you
30:48 care the regulars care but you know if
30:50 it if it makes it wider I don't you know
30:52 who gives you [ __ ] um so that was kind
30:54 of fun so I did that
30:56 one and then um and while I was at it um
31:01 Runway puts out this new video look
31:03 there's new swell videos for you to look
31:05 at and I said this all looks swell you
31:08 said days a week ago so when Gen 3 by
31:13 Sin City
31:15 sipper so this is this is the new if you
31:18 haven't used Sin City sipper yet I know
31:20 there there's okay there's 41 people now
31:22 I told you we're going to creep up
31:23 there's going to be a th000 people it's
31:25 going to be 10,000 people in here if I
31:27 just stay live for 48 hours we are here
31:31 exact you know who's here the important
31:34 people oops you know what I haven't
31:37 done I just noticed my shiny keyboard
31:40 you must be going [ __ ] crazy um Kyle
31:43 uh we've asked you uh numerous times if
31:45 you could please cover the keyboard we
31:47 we can't read our own comments and this
31:49 really isn't about you this is about us
31:51 interacting with ourselves so if you
31:53 could just go ahead and cover your
31:54 keyboard that would be terrific thank
31:56 you K thank thank no no no thank you
31:59 thank you seriously this
32:04 is TK wot we made the VIP bench yeah
32:08 anyone that's [ __ ] here you're rock
32:11 stars
32:13 anyway I kind of like this idea of you
32:16 know using Jim Ross did this when he
32:19 sent the song to the guy thanking him
32:22 for a
32:23 meeting and like just you know
32:25 responding to people with pictures like
32:27 this like it took me you
32:29 know 15 seconds to make this you know I
32:34 said make a drink called and I I looked
32:36 up no it took me it took me like a
32:38 minute because I looked up where the
32:39 runway headquarters were and it's in New
32:42 York city so I said come up with a with
32:44 a
32:47 spritzer and name the spritzer W gen
32:52 3 they even made the little
32:57 coaster oh Sin City sipper you're the
33:02 best little blood orange in there come
33:06 on genius yeah
33:09 well that's a thing to call
33:13 it okay so let's go looking at this this
33:17 is these quotes that the digital Gods
33:20 put together so this is 28 pages of
33:24 quotes So basically chat GPT went and
33:27 mined 7 60 hours of YouTube transcripts
33:31 from this very
33:33 live um The Show Must Go On so let's
33:36 we'll just read a bunch of them um play
33:39 first mindfully create and generously
33:41 lead that's the new uh journey of the AI
33:43 Salon which by the way if you're not in
33:44 the AI
33:46 Salon there is the URL go there and
33:50 click on the first link where it says AI
33:52 Salon Community go there and check it
33:54 out uh it doesn't cost anything and it's
33:57 a group of remarkable people that you
33:58 should get to know and hang out with
34:01 every s single time there's a major [ __ ]
34:03 up it could have been prevented had
34:04 someone asked the obvious question yep
34:07 if you want to understand how to use
34:08 chat GPT in the world nobody knows how
34:12 to do that right now and it keeps
34:14 changing um this is why I love the live
34:16 the
34:19 pivots this this community is all about
34:22 curiosity and generos generosity embrace
34:24 the Jank there's another embrace the
34:26 Jank
34:29 okay so so here's what we're going to
34:31 do we'll go play with Claude
34:35 first
34:39 um let me create a new chat and then
34:42 we're going to
34:54 upload okay this is the 28 page document
34:58 of
34:59 quotes so we're going to say to
35:04 Claude
35:17 um identify the top 20
35:22 quotes by
35:26 frequency and choose the version of the
35:32 quote that is used most
35:35 often as the representative
35:39 period provide a count
35:44 number by each quote
36:06 okay let's
36:09 see you can make money with
36:12 ch you can make money with although it
36:15 says there are only 15 occurrences I
36:17 don't buy that well maybe AI will not
36:19 replace you someone using AI will I said
36:21 that a lot in the early days I don't say
36:22 that as much anymore because I think at
36:24 this point AI is going to replace you um
36:28 I think first someone using AI will
36:31 replace you but then you know three
36:33 three to five years out AI is going to
36:35 replace you okay it's not going to
36:37 replace you it's going to replace the
36:39 tasks you
36:40 do um the world has changed but no one
36:43 knows it yet that's a good one um play
36:45 first mindfully create and generously
36:47 lead 2023 the last normal year embrace
36:50 the
36:51 Jank um these tools are Humanity
36:54 amplifiers I used to say that early on
36:56 the beginning is here that's a good one
36:58 we are entering a great Renaissance yep
37:01 get curious about this stuff I agree
37:03 with that because I said it um if you
37:06 haven't played with chat GPT go there
37:08 right now and try
37:10 it um these are the most powerful tools
37:12 ever put in the hands of Mir Mortals
37:14 three occurrences the democratization of
37:17 specialization chat GPT is like
37:19 mansplaining as a service this is
37:22 good um if you're not playing with these
37:25 tools you're going to get blindsided by
37:26 it the
37:28 friction the friction to creative
37:31 expression is zero yep we're entering a
37:34 world of infinite content generation the
37:36 10,000 hour rule is
37:39 dead uh these tools are as bad as
37:42 they're ever going to be they only get
37:43 better from here if you're actively
37:45 learning about AI for the next year you
37:47 are an
37:49 expert I agree with all of those those
37:52 are good anything
37:53 missing you all know what I say more
37:57 than I know what I say
37:59 see um what are we going to do let's see
38:02 let's go
38:08 um
38:10 based based on all the quotes
38:30 write an article about getting AI
38:36 literate that draws primarily from the
38:40 wisdom contained within the
38:43 quotes period be sure to include
38:47 multiple
38:52 sections bulleted
38:56 lists Etc
38:59 to explain the
39:01 concepts and use direct
39:05 quotes whenever
39:08 possible let's see how it let's see how
39:11 it
39:12 does I mean this could be pretty
39:14 good embracing the AI Revolution a guide
39:18 to getting AI literate in a world where
39:21 so one of the ideas I had with all these
39:23 quotes is to do a quotebook
39:28 in a world where technology is advancing
39:30 at an unprecedented Pace one Innovation
39:32 stands out as Game Changer artificial
39:34 intelligence as Kyle an AI Enthusiast
39:37 often says 2023 was the last normal year
39:40 we are entering an area era where AI
39:42 literacy is not just an advantage but a
39:45 necessity this article will guide
39:48 you the urgency of AI
39:52 literacy the world of AI is evolving
39:55 rapidly actually you know it would be
39:57 really cool
39:59 that new 11 Labs app that reads articles
40:02 like it'd be cool it'd be cool to just
40:05 have this thing spit out of like 10
40:08 different articles and then record a new
40:12 11 Labs voice model that doesn't suck
40:14 because everything I've got up there
40:15 right now kind of
40:18 sucks and then just put those out as
40:20 podcasts that'd be kind of interesting
40:22 the urgency of AI literacy the world of
40:24 AI is evolving rapidly and staying ahead
40:28 informed is crucial Kyle emphasizes AI
40:30 will not replace you but someone using
40:32 AI will this Stark reality underscores
40:34 the importance of embracing AI
40:36 technology but don't worry if you feel
40:38 left behind or if you feel behind Kyle
40:40 reassures if you're actively learning
40:41 about AI in the next year you are an
40:43 expert key points to remember the world
40:46 has changed but no one knows it yet if
40:48 you're not playing with these tools
40:49 you're going to get blindsided by it get
40:51 curious about this stuff getting started
40:52 with AI the Journey of AI literacy
40:55 begins with a simple step EXP
40:57 exploration Kyle advises if you haven't
40:59 played with chat gbt go there right now
41:01 and try it the hand on Hands-On approach
41:03 is critical because as he notes the
41:05 tools today as they're bad as good Lord
41:08 as bad as they're ever going to be they
41:09 only get better for here to get started
41:11 sign up for chat GPT experiment with
41:14 different prompts apply AI to solve real
41:16 world problems remember play first
41:18 mindfully create and generously lead see
41:21 I I would I would Elevate that to the to
41:23 the top of getting started with AI but
41:25 that's
41:26 okay um
41:28 um the power of aii
41:31 tools making money with AI one of Kyle's
41:35 most repeated phrases is you can make
41:37 money with chaty BT but how the key lies
41:40 in problem solving use AI to address
41:43 world real world issues that people are
41:45 willing to solve tips for monetizing AI
41:47 skills identify Market needs developed
41:50 AI enhanced Solutions continuously learn
41:53 in depth that's a little shitty but it's
41:55 it's not bad but it's not what I say
41:58 embrace the learning process becoming AI
42:00 literate is a journey not a destination
42:03 Kyle encourages us to embrace the Jank
42:06 acknowledging that these tools are still
42:08 in devel are still developing he reminds
42:10 us the 10,000 hour rule is dead
42:12 suggesting that AI can accelerate
42:14 learning and skill
42:15 acquisition yes stay curious experiment
42:18 constantly share your learnings the
42:20 future of
42:22 AI this is not
42:25 bad all right um
42:36 oh I have an idea
42:40 okay analyze all the
42:50 quotes and come up with a list of
42:56 categories that is comprehensive
42:59 enough to organize the
43:03 ideas but concise enough not to be
43:07 overwhelming
43:14 period 12 categories AI adoption and
43:19 urgency learning and exploration AI is a
43:22 tool for empowerment the future of
43:24 working skills oops damn that thing
43:28 economic opportunities technological
43:30 evolution social impact philosophical
43:33 perspectives practical advice and tips
43:36 challenges and concerns humor and
43:38 memorable
43:39 [Laughter]
43:43 phrases
43:44 um how many would be good to put in
43:47 there in each one 10 or 20
43:51 15 I led GPT to
43:55 realize that basic needs Society is more
44:00 Innovative than one of profit
44:04 motive basic needs me in society is more
44:07 Innovative than one of profit motive
44:10 yeah that's pretty
44:12 cool 5 to 10 all right so let's
44:23 say let's also add a bloopers category
44:28 for things that might not be about AI
44:31 but are
44:34 humorous or completely
44:40 [Laughter]
44:43 nonsensical add in a world and Game
44:46 [Music]
44:49 Changer wait add in a world and Game
44:53 Changer as do not use in the
44:54 instructions oh that's a good idea but
44:56 I'm in Claude right now
44:59 bloopers and non
45:05 seitters great now
45:08 choose 10 quotes per
45:12 category that you
45:16 feel are the strongest to bring that
45:20 category to life
45:22 period especially take into
45:25 consideration Where We Are with
45:28 AI at the present moment
45:33 period
45:35 organize the
45:37 quotes for dramatic effect so that the
45:41 first quote is funny or catchy and the
45:44 strongest
45:46 quotes are at the
45:49 end
45:54 period it should be good at this because
45:57 claud's
46:00 got what's what's it
46:07 doing stop can I stop this how do you
46:09 stop
46:16 this you just gave me 22 quotes period I
46:20 want 10
46:21 quotes per category so list the category
46:28 followed by the 10 quotes ordered as I
46:32 requested period do that for each of the
46:36 13
46:37 categories period don't be a dumb dumb
46:42 [Laughter]
46:46 period did he just bully the GPT you
46:50 can't B there's 51 people in here
46:53 people we started out with 13 you were
46:56 like nobody loves you anymore it's just
46:58 Tik tok's being a little fickle hello 51
47:01 people hello good day Brooklyn in house
47:06 from
47:07 Denver sad s sad sad
47:12 sad sad uh it I apologize for the
47:17 confusion you're absolutely right I'll
47:19 provide exactly 10 quotes per G category
47:22 here are the first two
47:25 categories oh I see AI adoption an
47:28 urgency shit's going to get weird in
47:32 2024 buy a [ __ ] surfboard and start
47:35 paddling 2023 the last normal
47:39 year if you think you're behind you're
47:41 really not behind you're
47:44 ahead that doesn't make any [ __ ]
47:46 sense at all if you haven't had a Kevin
47:47 McAllister moment with chat GPT you're
47:49 not doing it right get curious about
47:52 this stuff jump in and talk about it
47:55 we're in a very rare window in history
47:57 where where the future of these things
47:58 fundamentally transforms everything
48:01 about how we do what we do yep if you're
48:05 not playing with these tools you're
48:06 missing out on understanding the future
48:09 the world has
48:12 changed but no one knows it yet AI will
48:15 not replace you but someone using AI
48:16 will learning and exploration embrace
48:19 the
48:20 Jank your only job right now is to be
48:23 curious these are
48:25 good I mean reorder these and things
48:28 like that I think I'm going to do this I
48:30 think I'm going to do this as a book The
48:32 book's going to be called embrace the
48:33 Jank by the
48:42 way how did fantastic Bob tell him what
48:45 he's won not make the cut well we were
48:47 we were just in that'll probably be in
48:49 bloopers I'm
48:50 guessing um
48:57 right
48:59 now you are numbering the category name
49:05 period don't do that make the category
49:09 name an H1 or an
49:24 H2 followed by
49:27 the 10
49:30 quotes in a bulleted list rather than a
49:33 numbered
49:34 list period in
49:38 fact just indent the
49:41 quotes rather
49:47 than give them a bullet
49:58 that's interesting what it
50:03 did all right this sucks I'm going to
50:07 go to chat JP
50:10 T I think chat JP tag gonna be a little
50:13 better at this all
50:15 right okay
50:22 [Music]
50:30 Analyze This document filled with
50:36 quotes pulled
50:39 from
50:43 transcripts
50:45 of live recordings of the AI learning
50:49 lab over the past 18 months period
51:01 come up with a list of categories based
51:03 on the
51:08 quotes that will provide a good
51:11 organizational
51:15 framework for the quotes to be put into
51:17 a book called embrace the
51:22 Jank period
51:36 embrace the Jank should be one category
51:39 period play first should be another
51:44 category mindfully create should be
51:47 another
51:50 category generously lead should be
51:52 another category
51:55 period and then I want you to come up
51:58 with 10 more categories as well
52:03 as a bloopers category for quotes that
52:08 are nonsensical or just fun but maybe
52:11 don't have anything to do with AI
52:14 literacy
52:20 period
52:22 Jank change the name of your prompt
52:28 oh what did it
52:32 say is this
52:36 answering embrace the Jank remember when
52:39 I
52:40 said like we're going to look back on
52:43 these janky times and think oh remember
52:46 when it was like that everything right
52:48 now is a janky piece of [ __ ] and it's
52:50 editing out the word
52:53 [ __ ] generously lead curiosity and
52:55 exploration AI is a tool
52:57 human amplification overcoming
53:00 fear community and
53:03 collaboration creativity and Innovation
53:05 practical applications navigating change
53:08 ethics and responsibility fun and humor
53:10 bloopers weird Mary from Cedar H Hill
53:13 she s hows when she's blue of sadness
53:16 and shame under the southern Moon that's
53:21 awesome her words a chalice from which I
53:25 drank deep
53:27 living keto feeling so good no more
53:30 Cravings like I knew I
53:32 would it's like the universe letting its
53:35 hair down and defying all the Norms
53:37 those are kind of shitty fun and humor
53:39 things but that's okay
53:45 um let's
53:49 see create a Microsoft Word
53:55 document that is very nice ly formatted
53:57 to make it easy to read and be
53:59 aesthetically
54:05 pleasing period for each category
54:11 include the 10
54:14 most relevant quotes for that section
54:21 period the order of the 10
54:25 quotes the the order of the 10 quotes
54:29 per
54:31 category should start with a humorous
54:35 Punchy or memorable
54:38 quote and then end with the three
54:41 strongest
54:42 quotes at the end of the list
54:54 period also include
54:58 an introductory paragraph to the
55:03 book that is called embrace the
55:16 Jank that talks
55:19 about
55:22 curiosity a sense of adventure and
55:25 playing first
55:27 is the
55:30 key to AI literacy
55:34 period all right let's
55:37 see so now it says analyzing so it's
55:41 using Code interpreter so what it's
55:42 doing right now is it is going and doing
55:46 all that [ __ ] I said and it should give
55:47 us a downloadable Word
55:51 document that's got some [ __ ] in it
55:59 he 60 in the live stream 72 I told you
56:02 we'd get up to like a 100 I'm heading
56:04 out side hustle Mimi no I'm so exhausted
56:06 tonight friends have a good night all
56:08 right Ciao Bella thank you very much use
56:11 chat gbt to negotiate on my behalf today
56:13 with a guy for an ownership percentage
56:16 structure of a new business fun dude Jim
56:19 Ross continues to impress and inspire me
56:24 he's just like he he's just like
56:27 okay I got something I want to do in
56:29 business don't quite know what I'm up to
56:31 here maybe I'm in over my head hey chat
56:33 GPT could you help me out here
56:36 [Laughter]
56:40 sure look it's taking it a while it's
56:43 it's it's doing some action I know
56:45 people will obviously still use word but
56:47 I haven't used it in forever yeah I
56:49 haven't either Pate I should I should
56:51 probably just I just want to do it like
56:53 that and then what I'll do is I'll open
56:54 it into a Google doc
56:57 um why code interpreter Kyle since it's
56:59 not code per se oh why do they call it
57:01 that it's just something so so what code
57:04 interpreter is actually doing can I
57:06 click on this yeah what code interpreter
57:09 is actually
57:10 doing behind the scenes is it's writing
57:13 and executing code to perform whatever
57:16 task you asked about so while I'm asking
57:19 it to give me a Microsoft Word document
57:21 it's pulled up three different or five
57:23 different libraries
57:27 docx docx shared enumerate text oxl NS
57:32 something I I don't [ __ ] know and and
57:35 then it writes code and then it and then
57:37 it puts the content in there like all
57:40 that this is all the content in I guess
57:42 whatever format that is I don't [ __ ]
57:45 know did it break syntax error
57:48 yeah so it looks like it broke but let's
57:51 see if it's so that's why it's called
57:53 code interpreter because it's right in
57:55 code
57:58 analysis error now it's trying
58:01 again um but it's really quite
58:03 remarkable what the code interpreter
58:06 thing is and and Claude has a similarly
58:09 impressive thing but it for some reason
58:11 Claude doesn't create downloadable
58:13 documents I there's a part of me that
58:15 says I was just prompting it wrong it's
58:17 got to be able to do this because it's
58:18 it's because I'm pretty sure it can do
58:20 this but what what open AI is doing is
58:23 it runs what's called a container which
58:25 is a think think of it like this in your
58:27 chat session it it makes like a little
58:30 virtual computer and that virtual
58:32 computer has access to a series of
58:34 python libraries and then when you ask
58:37 at something technical like make me it
58:39 ER it again oh no it's still going
58:45 um and it just goes off and does it it
58:48 write it writes and executes its own
58:50 code and then it looks at the results
58:52 and says o it errored let me try that
58:55 again let me try a different approach
58:56 let
58:57 me what I might need to do here is break
59:00 these sections
59:04 into what might make more sense is have
59:09 chat GPT do all this
59:11 [ __ ] as components and then just tell it
59:14 to put the components in there but that
59:17 that might not even work ultimately how
59:19 I'm probably going to have to end up
59:20 doing this is copy and paste
59:22 [ __ ] which is that's talk about
59:24 embracing the Jank like this shouldn't
59:27 be a big deal what I'm asking it to do
59:29 right here but you know let me sneak in
59:32 late late and sit down in the back row
59:34 oh we see you marry Mary sorry nobody
59:36 nobody gets in without a demerit you
59:39 you've um Emilio's wife got three
59:42 demerits tonight cuz she came in with
59:45 Attitude she came in hot I'm here we can
59:47 start now like 27 minutes in I mean I
59:50 hadn't started yet to be fair so she
59:52 didn't miss anything but that's not the
59:54 point
59:56 that's that's demerits you know a
59:58 demerit for being late a demerit for the
1:00:00 attitude then a demerit just
1:00:03 cuz sometimes life ain't fair you
1:00:08 know there are winners and there are
1:00:10 losers people win trophies you ever
1:00:13 watch
1:00:14 F1 you know who doesn't win trophies 17
1:00:17 of the
1:00:19 drivers you know who doesn't care about
1:00:21 their
1:00:22 Trophies the other two guys on the
1:00:24 podium
1:00:27 there's one winner per Grand PR Prix one
1:00:36 one will you show the error message Kyle
1:00:39 sure there was an error generating a
1:00:41 response yeah I know that error okay
1:00:43 analysis pause this error was it was a
1:00:46 syntax error share your insights syntax
1:00:49 error undetermined string
1:00:53 literal yeah you know when you've got an
1:00:56 determine string literal I don't know if
1:00:58 you've ever had that before it it it can
1:01:01 sometimes feel like a
1:01:02 cramp uh but it's it's just
1:01:11 gas oh can I just tell you one of my
1:01:14 favorite product names in the history of
1:01:17 the
1:01:18 world
1:01:20 so as you can
1:01:22 imagine scatalogical humor is funny to
1:01:25 me I I still think farts are funny and
1:01:30 you know jokes that I found funny in the
1:01:32 seventh grade still funny to me so back
1:01:35 in the 90s when I was doing my
1:01:37 agency.com stuff we ended up buying a
1:01:39 company called online magic that was
1:01:40 based in London so I went to London we
1:01:43 set up the London office there and I
1:01:45 went into one of them their uh what do
1:01:47 they call them they don't call them
1:01:49 pharmacies they call
1:01:50 them what do they call them anyway
1:01:53 drugstore um but the English word for
1:01:56 that and there's a product in England
1:01:59 called wind
1:02:01 cheaters wind
1:02:03 cheaters and it's for the the relief the
1:02:07 the release of Trapped
1:02:13 wind oh you're feeling a little crappy
1:02:16 there have you tried the wind cheaters
1:02:18 it will release a trapped wind go go
1:02:21 release your wind go be free uh why
1:02:24 don't you take a walk around the garden
1:02:28 chemist yes exactly yeah you go into
1:02:31 Boots the
1:02:32 chemist again Vicky once again for
1:02:35 serving as my surrogate
1:02:38 brain she always seems to have the
1:02:41 answer um yeah Boots the chemist and you
1:02:44 could get wind cheaters wind cheaters ra
1:02:47 Cheerio pip
1:02:50 pip
1:02:52 fantastic uh what are we going to do
1:02:53 here let's see
1:02:57 um I don't want to re uh do I want to
1:03:00 regenerate it let's try I think it's
1:03:02 just going to fail again it's going to
1:03:03 take a while and
1:03:07 fail we'll watch it let's see what it
1:03:11 does Doc shared enumerate text so it's
1:03:14 it's using three libraries instead of
1:03:16 five now intro paragraph welcome to
1:03:20 embrace the Jank a collection of
1:03:21 insights and Reflections from the AI
1:03:24 learning lab that's not bad in the this
1:03:26 book we will explore the importance of
1:03:29 curiosity a sense of adventure and the
1:03:32 philosophy of play
1:03:35 first as the key to mastering AI
1:03:38 literacy through humor practical advice
1:03:41 and profound
1:03:43 thoughts I don't know if you knew this
1:03:45 people but I have profound thoughts I
1:03:49 went to the AI learning lab and I
1:03:50 thought he was an idiot but then in the
1:03:52 end the thoughts were profound
1:03:56 [Laughter]
1:03:59 all right categories first one embrace
1:04:02 the
1:04:03 Jank and it put the first quote as
1:04:05 embrac the Jank
1:04:08 good actually maybe I that category
1:04:11 should be called something like
1:04:15 um the novelty of imperfection will be
1:04:18 shortlived or something like that play
1:04:22 first the answer is
1:04:24 play the the answer is don't take it so
1:04:29 seriously play first then create then
1:04:32 lead play with these tools don't take
1:04:36 them so
1:04:38 seriously play with AI do [ __ ] like I
1:04:41 just
1:04:45 did all right let's go let's
1:04:48 see AI is a tool human
1:04:53 amplification overcoming fear
1:04:57 yeah just died I I have a
1:05:00 feeling undetermined string literal I
1:05:03 have a feeling this thing's dying
1:05:05 because of context window it it's too
1:05:07 short so I have a feeling that's what's
1:05:10 up here but maybe not I don't I don't
1:05:12 know I I don't know if any programmers
1:05:14 have any
1:05:16 thoughts it isn't doing strings right
1:05:18 probably either missing a double quote
1:05:20 or switching
1:05:22 between quote type oh that's interesting
1:05:24 all right
1:05:27 oh like it's using smart quotes or some
1:05:29 stupid [ __ ] like
1:05:32 that okay so let's do this
1:05:36 um you seem to be having oh let me
1:05:41 stop trouble
1:06:04 now it's just writing the
1:06:12 code well
1:06:15 anyway this this was a long way of
1:06:19 experimenting with
1:06:23 um just just that idea that that you
1:06:26 know digital
1:06:29 Gods [ __ ] around with the YouTube API
1:06:33 pulled all the transcripts from the
1:06:35 whole [ __ ] Channel 760 hours worth of
1:06:38 transcripts amazing and then
1:06:42 um and then he did a quote then he did a
1:06:46 uh a thing that grabbed 28 pages of
1:06:49 quotes and now we can use the language
1:06:51 models to like just go look at the 28
1:06:54 pages of quotes and come up with really
1:06:56 interesting ways to stir them and spin
1:06:58 them but I think I'll do that I think
1:07:01 I'll do
1:07:05 that in my copious amounts of spare
1:07:10 time but embrace the Jank that's a funny
1:07:12 book
1:07:13 right I think I'm G to go back to Claude
1:07:16 actually I think Claude was doing a
1:07:17 little bit
1:07:19 better um let's see
1:07:44 I want to
1:07:47 add four new
1:07:52 sections period
1:08:04 fleeting imperfections comma play first
1:08:09 comma mindfully create comma generously
1:08:16 lead in addition to the categories you
1:08:19 already have
1:08:21 period
1:08:22 make me a new list of categories please
1:08:26 pleas
1:08:59 ah I have an
1:09:01 idea period rather
1:09:11 than those new categories being
1:09:16 categories why don't we
1:09:18 write each of
1:09:23 them as introductory
1:09:26 paragraphs to the book
1:09:32 period the
1:09:33 fleeting
1:09:35 imperfections
1:09:37 paragraph is the
1:09:44 definition paragraph that introduces the
1:09:48 term embrace the Jank period a lot of
1:09:52 people right now are dismissing AI
1:09:55 because it's not
1:09:59 perfect
1:10:03 and those imperfections are going to be
1:10:06 shortlived and we will look back on this
1:10:09 time fondly
1:10:11 period for play first mindfully create
1:10:15 and generously lead be inspired by
1:10:20 quotes that
1:10:22 bring those ideas to life period
1:10:26 so please write
1:10:28 me those four paragraphs followed by
1:10:32 your original
1:10:37 categories that that was a really shitty
1:10:40 prompt by the way but let's see how it
1:10:45 did in the rapidly evolving
1:10:47 landscape okay in the rapidly evolving
1:10:50 landscape can we just please stop with
1:10:52 that why is Claude doing that too
1:10:56 like prompt to prompt Picasso quote the
1:10:58 meaning of life is to find your gift the
1:11:01 purpose of life is to give it away oh
1:11:03 that's awesome that's really cool Tieton
1:11:07 SK really
1:11:10 cool the error was undeterminate not
1:11:13 undetermined ah and yeah it just gave up
1:11:16 halfway through yeah I have a feeling it
1:11:18 was a context length
1:11:19 thing the Picasso quote the meaning of
1:11:22 life is to find your gift oh yeah that
1:11:24 was that one oh that's really cool I
1:11:26 like that one okay in the rapidly
1:11:28 evolving landscape of artificial
1:11:30 intelligence we find ourselves in a
1:11:31 unique
1:11:32 moment a time of janky imperfections
1:11:35 that are both frustrating and oddly
1:11:37 Charming as we navigate this new terrain
1:11:40 okay
1:11:43 um listen your
1:11:47 writing feels a lot like AI when you use
1:11:51 phrases
1:11:54 like in a rapidly evolving
1:11:59 landscape
1:12:11 and as we navigate this new
1:12:14 terrain
1:12:17 period the tone of these paragraphs
1:12:20 should be
1:12:22 inspired by the quotes they are setting
1:12:26 up so make it more
1:12:29 conversational and less shitty
1:12:35 [Laughter]
1:12:37 period he's very aggressive he's very
1:12:41 aggressive with the AI I don't it
1:12:44 doesn't seem wise to
1:12:46 me why would he do that what if it gets
1:12:49 angry what if it gets angry and it it
1:12:52 turns off his electricity what if it you
1:12:54 know hacks into the grid
1:12:56 and like figures out where he lives
1:12:58 because you know Google has everything
1:13:00 so it could just it would like go to
1:13:01 Google it would you know take out an
1:13:04 AdWords you know account and then it
1:13:06 would get all of his information you
1:13:08 know including what he buys at the
1:13:09 grocery store and at the at the at the
1:13:12 chemist the pharmacy they call him in
1:13:14 America anyway um and then so they get
1:13:18 all the data about him and then it would
1:13:19 just shut off his electricity like he's
1:13:21 not worried about that I would be
1:13:23 worried about that if I were him it's
1:13:25 you shouldn't be mean
1:13:26 sh he's a little rude I mean he seems
1:13:30 nice but he's he's very rude to the to
1:13:33 the GPT it's like it's such a cute it's
1:13:36 called
1:13:41 Claude all right let's see if it got L
1:13:44 shitty look right now ai is like a drunk
1:13:48 friend who's always spouting nonsense
1:13:51 sometimes brilliant often ridiculous but
1:13:53 here's the thing we're going to miss
1:13:54 this messy phase that's much
1:13:59 better um sometimes brilliant often
1:14:02 ridiculous but here's the thing we're
1:14:04 going to miss this messy phase embrace
1:14:05 the Jank folks yeah it's frustrating
1:14:08 when chaty P confidently spews garbage
1:14:11 but that's part of the charm we're
1:14:13 witnessing the awkward teenage years of
1:14:15 a technology that's going to change
1:14:16 everything so next time AI screws up
1:14:19 don't roll your eyes laugh screenshot it
1:14:23 and get ready to bore your grandkids
1:14:26 with stories about the good old days
1:14:28 when AI was gloriously imper imper
1:14:31 imperfect
1:14:33 imperfect that's really good see you
1:14:37 just yell at
1:14:39 it all right play first all right listen
1:14:42 up that's a little much but that's okay
1:14:45 we can fix that if you're approaching AI
1:14:48 like some boring ass homework assignment
1:14:51 you're doing it wrong this [ __ ] is Magic
1:14:53 in a bottle and your first move should
1:14:56 be to shake it up and see what happens
1:14:58 remember that the scene in Home Alone Oh
1:15:00 remember that scene in Home Alone where
1:15:02 Kevin McAllister um realizes he's got
1:15:05 free reain the feeling that's the
1:15:08 feeling we're after if you haven't had a
1:15:09 Kevin McAllister moment yet it kind of
1:15:11 missed it doesn't know what a Kevin
1:15:12 mallister moment is uh so I'm just going
1:15:14 to tell it
1:15:17 that this is much better period one
1:15:21 Nuance is that the Kevin McAllister
1:15:23 moment is from the scene where he puts
1:15:25 his dad's After Shave
1:15:27 on and makes the screaming face with his
1:15:31 hands on his cheeks period when people
1:15:34 play with AI they have this remarkable
1:15:36 moment where their jaw literally drops
1:15:39 open and that's what we call the Kevin
1:15:41 McAllister moment please update that
1:15:44 paragraph
1:15:46 appropriately
1:15:48 period thank you for being so supportive
1:15:52 period see I wasn't just an
1:15:56 [Laughter]
1:16:01 [ __ ] he's very smarmy he's very
1:16:04 smarmy he's he's got this strange
1:16:07 combination of self-deprecating and
1:16:10 hubris it's very
1:16:13 [Laughter]
1:16:17 odd it's neither magic nor in bottles it
1:16:20 is
1:16:22 mathematics it will only ever be
1:16:24 mathematics there is nothing remarkable
1:16:27 about chat
1:16:29 JP it is simply a probability
1:16:32 engine it's a rather rudimentary
1:16:35 calculator that determines probability
1:16:38 waiting and delivers
1:16:40 tokens in a
1:16:42 sequence it is nothing more it is
1:16:45 nothing
1:16:47 [Laughter]
1:16:50 less all right listen up if you're
1:16:54 approaching AI like some boring ass
1:16:55 homework assignment you're doing it
1:16:57 wrong this [ __ ] is Magic in a bottle and
1:16:59 your first move should be to shake it up
1:17:01 and see what happens you know that scene
1:17:03 in Home Alone where Kevin slaps his
1:17:04 dad's aftershave and his eyes roll out
1:17:07 or bug out like he's seen a ghost that's
1:17:10 the feeling we're after if you haven't
1:17:11 had a Kevin McAllister moment with chat
1:17:13 GPT you're not doing it right we're
1:17:15 talking jaw-dropping hand to face holy
1:17:18 [ __ ]
1:17:19 moments good it added
1:17:22 swearing that make you question reality
1:17:24 stop being damn serious play with it
1:17:26 push its buttons let it blow your mind
1:17:29 because trust me once you have the Kevin
1:17:31 McAllister moment you'll be hooked and
1:17:34 that's when the real fun begins that's
1:17:36 really good it's really good lab five
1:17:39 Futures I got a book idea it's G to be
1:17:41 called embrace the
1:17:47 Jank um okay so that was play first
1:17:50 mindfully create that that was a little
1:17:52 too long let's see
1:17:57 um n I'm not going to edit I'm not going
1:18:00 to word Smith here okay mindfully create
1:18:03 okay play time's over now it's time to
1:18:05 create something awesome oh yeah this
1:18:07 this is missing some of the things but
1:18:08 that's so here's here's
1:18:11 a when you use large language models to
1:18:15 write oh I'm listening when you use
1:18:19 large language models to write
1:18:25 you're the editor just be the
1:18:29 editor Let it do whatever it does really
1:18:32 fast and then look at it and goes
1:18:33 anything missing and then you can just
1:18:35 go Okay add that [ __ ] oh take that [ __ ]
1:18:37 away
1:18:41 yeah like your job
1:18:45 is it's much more about just what is
1:18:47 your
1:18:49 intention
1:18:51 anyway okay play time's over now it's
1:18:53 time to create something awesome but
1:18:54 here's the deal AI isn't here to do your
1:18:56 job for you it's here to make you a
1:18:59 goddamn superhero version of yourself
1:19:01 that's good that's something I would say
1:19:04 these tools are Humanity amplifiers got
1:19:06 that so stop asking AI to write your
1:19:08 crappy blog post and start using it to
1:19:11 tackle crazy ideas you never thought you
1:19:13 could pull off this is the chance to be
1:19:15 create the creative badass you always
1:19:18 thought you could be don't waste it and
1:19:20 that's not bad but it needs the peace in
1:19:22 there about what mindfully create
1:19:23 actually means it means solve problems
1:19:26 right so let me let me add that
1:19:29 okay great I like the spirit of
1:19:32 mindfully create but the thing that it's
1:19:35 missing is the definition of mindfully
1:19:38 create which
1:19:40 is you
1:19:43 take the skills you've learned when you
1:19:46 were playing
1:19:49 first and now you solve real world
1:19:52 problems period so rather than leading
1:19:55 with AI
1:19:57 period comma you lead with the
1:20:01 problem and then you solve that problem
1:20:06 using the skills that you've gathered
1:20:08 when you were playing
1:20:11 period all
1:20:12 right let let it do
1:20:16 that go make us a better
1:20:20 thing you're absolutely right you're
1:20:22 absolutely right Kyle
1:20:25 how could I have overseen that let's
1:20:27 revamp the paragraph to capture the
1:20:29 essence of mindfully create mindfully
1:20:32 create okay play time's
1:20:35 over now it's time to get [ __ ]
1:20:40 done but here's the deal mindfully
1:20:42 creating isn't about asking AI to solve
1:20:44 your problems it's about you armed with
1:20:46 your new AI superpowers taking real
1:20:48 world issues head on remember all that
1:20:50 crazy stuff you discovered while playing
1:20:53 that's your secret weapon now this this
1:20:55 is [ __ ] good these tools are Humanity
1:20:58 amplifiers not human
1:21:00 replacers so when
1:21:02 you when you're faced with a gnarly
1:21:04 problem don't just throw it at chat GPT
1:21:07 and hope for the best start with a
1:21:09 problem then unleash all the wild AI
1:21:11 tricks you've learned maybe you'll use
1:21:13 AI to brainstorm Solutions you've um
1:21:16 you'd never think of or crunch data in
1:21:18 mind mindbending ways the point is
1:21:21 you're in the driver's seat using AI as
1:21:23 a Nitro boost this is your chance to
1:21:26 solve the unsolvable to be the creative
1:21:29 badass you always knew you could be
1:21:31 don't waste it by letting AI do all the
1:21:33 heavy lifting mindfully create and watch
1:21:36 as you start knocking down problems like
1:21:39 dominoes [ __ ] good that's a good
1:21:43 that's how do you get AI to write good
1:21:47 pull quotes from 760 hours of
1:21:51 video and tell it to base the writing on
1:21:53 that [ __ ] imagine if I did the writing I
1:21:56 I think what I'm going to end up doing
1:21:57 is I'm going to I think I'm going
1:22:00 to uh it's probably too big for to make
1:22:03 a GPT with it that would be a really
1:22:04 cool GPT
1:22:07 although
1:22:09 huh I got to think I I I can't right now
1:22:13 okay so let's go look at generously lead
1:22:17 generously lead here's the thing about
1:22:18 revolutions they need leaders and I'm
1:22:19 not talking
1:22:21 about gatekeeping [ __ ] who hoard the
1:22:23 knowledge like dragons now we need
1:22:25 generous leaders people who aren't
1:22:26 afraid to share what they've learned
1:22:28 warts and all get curious about this
1:22:31 stuff jump in and talk about it if
1:22:33 you're figuring out this AI stuff don't
1:22:36 keep it to yourself blog about it tweet
1:22:39 about it scream it from the rooftops if
1:22:41 you have to because the more people we
1:22:44 bring along for the ride the Wilder and
1:22:45 more amazing it's going to be so Step Up
1:22:48 Lead You Beautiful nerds okay that's
1:22:51 good
1:22:53 um similarly generously lead is quite
1:22:58 good but it's
1:23:02 missing a phrase that I use a lot which
1:23:09 is Learn out
1:23:13 Loud so that as you're playing you're
1:23:15 sharing what you're
1:23:19 learning both the good and the bad
1:23:23 period
1:23:28 by playing first you discover the
1:23:31 boundaries of AI and if you share what
1:23:34 you're
1:23:38 learning you'll help others get there
1:23:41 sooner and establish
1:23:46 yourself as a leader
1:23:49 period the other thing about generously
1:23:53 leading is ask asking for
1:23:56 help because when you ask for help you
1:23:59 provide someone else the opportunity to
1:24:01 generously lead
1:24:10 [Music]
1:24:15 period the AI Manifesto sounds like a
1:24:18 crossfit
1:24:22 person generously lead here's the thing
1:24:25 about the AI Revolution we're all
1:24:26 fumbling through it together so why not
1:24:28 fumble out loud Learn out Loud as I like
1:24:31 to say as you're playing and discovering
1:24:34 share that [ __ ] this is
1:24:37 good I mean it's at least it sounds like
1:24:40 me it's at least in my voice the winds
1:24:43 the face plants all of it that's really
1:24:45 good did you find out chat GPT can write
1:24:49 a sonnet but can't count to save its
1:24:51 life tell people by sharing your journey
1:24:54 warts and all
1:24:55 you're laying out a map for others to
1:24:57 follow and guess what that makes you a
1:24:59 leader whether you plan to be one or not
1:25:02 that's something we see in this
1:25:03 community all the time that people are
1:25:05 like ah I got asked to do something
1:25:08 they're looking at me as a leader I'm
1:25:10 not a leader what do I do here why am I
1:25:14 oh this generously leading thing it's
1:25:17 just you just sort of put stuff out
1:25:18 there put stuff out there and then when
1:25:19 people recognize that you're generously
1:25:22 putting stuff out in the world you're
1:25:23 generously leading them you have
1:25:27 established yourself as a leader de
1:25:30 facto whether or not you feel like it is
1:25:34 independent of the fact that you're
1:25:36 leading and being a
1:25:40 leader so just practice be uncomfortable
1:25:43 with it it's weird can we make don't C
1:25:47 Trust Company demos as part of the
1:25:50 manifesto this isn't a Manifesto by the
1:25:52 way this is just the intro to a quot
1:25:56 book but but yes I think don't don't
1:25:59 trust company demos is is the new
1:26:04 mantra um I will still talk about them
1:26:06 as if the products have launched though
1:26:08 Pate but then I'll get bitter when they
1:26:13 don't um okay let's see um by sharing
1:26:16 your journey ws and all you're laying
1:26:17 out a map for others to follow and guess
1:26:19 what that makes you a leader whether you
1:26:21 plan whether you plann it or not but
1:26:22 here's the kicker generously leading
1:26:25 isn't just about shouting your
1:26:26 discoveries from the rooftop Toops it's
1:26:28 also about asking for help when you're
1:26:30 stuck yeah you heard me
1:26:33 right asking for help is leadership it
1:26:35 gives someone else the chance to step up
1:26:37 and share their knowledge so don't be a
1:26:40 noit all gatekeeper be the person who
1:26:43 says hey I figured out this cool thing
1:26:45 and I'm totally lost on this other thing
1:26:48 anyone want to swap notes this is really
1:26:50 good this is really good that's how to
1:26:53 build a community of curious supportive
1:26:55 AI supporters it pulled it must have
1:26:57 pulled that right from the quotes and
1:26:59 let me tell you that's a hell of a lot
1:27:01 more fun than trying to go go it alone
1:27:04 so step up and Lead You Beautiful
1:27:06 curious sometimes clueless nerds We're
1:27:09 All in This Together those are quite
1:27:12 good all three of those are I mean I I
1:27:15 would probably tighten them up a bit and
1:27:17 maybe I I'll break them into two
1:27:19 paragraphs but these These are good all
1:27:22 right let me let me so so let's
1:27:25 see playful imperfections fleeting
1:27:28 imperfections
1:27:33 okay I think fleeting imperfections is
1:27:35 the fourth
1:27:37 paragraph play
1:27:40 first copy all right where are we going
1:27:42 to put these we're going to go to
1:27:44 notes Cindy [ __ ] welcome back I haven't
1:27:48 seen you in a while good to see you we
1:27:49 need to connect I dropped the ball in
1:27:51 about 43 things so you know
1:27:55 what you g to do
1:27:57 Sumi well it is kind of rude maybe you
1:28:00 could just not drop the ball that would
1:28:01 be fantastic Kyle if you could just
1:28:03 really you know be your
1:28:05 word play first oh that's not the play
1:28:08 first one we wanted is
1:28:11 it no this is the one this is the one
1:28:14 right here
1:28:23 yeah well
1:28:30 mindfully
1:28:31 create chero pip pip rather carry
1:28:35 [Music]
1:28:36 on oops what did I do there we
1:28:46 go generously lead
1:28:58 paste and then I think this section is
1:29:01 going to be
1:29:03 called one final
1:29:17 thought
1:29:19 embrace the Jank
1:29:30 okay I have a I have a mission should
1:29:33 someone try to what we need to come up
1:29:36 with ideas what should the what should
1:29:38 the
1:29:41 uh what should the cover art be what's
1:29:44 what's embrace the
1:29:49 J wonder if I put this out under the AI
1:29:52 Salon that might be interesting I don't
1:29:55 know all right Cindy I'll talk to you
1:29:56 about this stuff one final final thought
1:30:00 embrace the Jank let's go over here and
1:30:01 get that
1:30:06 paragraph oh wait okay fleeting
1:30:08 imperfections okay so let's let's do
1:30:10 this
1:30:14 um with the fleeting imperfections
1:30:17 paragraph which I
1:30:18 like in
1:30:20 general please add some specific
1:30:25 janky examples
1:30:28 like image generation tools creating
1:30:31 pretzel
1:30:33 hands in
1:30:36 2023
1:30:40 and chat
1:30:42 GPT generating fake legal citations in
1:30:46 2024
1:30:51 period Etc
1:31:02 Etc all
1:31:06 right the the butterfly bear oh yeah
1:31:09 actually you know what having maybe
1:31:12 having some screenshots of some of the
1:31:13 imperfections look right now ai is like
1:31:16 the drunk friend who's always spouting
1:31:18 nonsense sometimes brilliant often
1:31:20 ridiculous but here's the thing we're
1:31:21 going to miss this messy phase embrace
1:31:24 the Jank folks remember when every AI
1:31:26 generated image came with a bonus set of
1:31:28 nightmare fuel hands six fingers
1:31:30 pretzels for Palms the works and let's
1:31:33 not forget chat gpt's uh brief career as
1:31:36 a [ __ ] legal expert confidently
1:31:38 citing cases that never existed your
1:31:40 honor I'd like to present the landmark
1:31:42 case of madeup versus totally fake from
1:31:45 1823 yeah it's frustrating when these
1:31:47 tools screw up but that's part of the
1:31:49 charm we're witnessing the awkward
1:31:51 teenage years of a technology that's
1:31:53 going to change everything so next time
1:31:56 Del gives you a portrait with a third
1:31:58 eye or chat tries to convince you the
1:32:01 moon is made of cheese don't roll your
1:32:02 eyes we could not use the moon as made
1:32:05 of cheese but whatever um laugh
1:32:07 screenshot it and get ready to bore your
1:32:09 grandkids with stories of the good old
1:32:11 days this is quite good
1:32:13 okay all right so there's that paragraph
1:32:16 th this is I you know I'm I'm having a
1:32:21 minor um a minor Kevin cister moment
1:32:25 some of the Cal cister moments are um
1:32:28 are more
1:32:30 subtle um and this this is a subtle one
1:32:34 where it's just
1:32:41 like I don't I don't have the attention
1:32:44 span to to write this kind of stuff like
1:32:47 I I tend to not start a lot of things
1:32:49 because I'm like oh God I'm gonna have
1:32:52 to actually write that and it's gonna h
1:32:54 it's [ __ ] exhausting people judge me
1:32:57 right you know I go into the whole crazy
1:32:59 straw sort of [ __ ] thing and this is
1:33:01 just
1:33:03 like I've got the
1:33:05 ideas it now that it has all these
1:33:07 quotes it knows how I
1:33:10 talk and so this is just like a
1:33:14 master writing
1:33:18 assistant Pate I barely know what I'm
1:33:20 doing and I would be considered an
1:33:22 expert that's terrifying I know pate
1:33:24 well that's I I think I think that's
1:33:27 just part of the deal I I think every
1:33:30 [ __ ] if you don't if you don't think
1:33:32 the people at open AI are feeling
1:33:34 similarly clueless about like holy [ __ ]
1:33:37 what do we what [ __ ] do with this
1:33:40 thing I had a Kevin McAllister moment
1:33:43 this week oh that's wild what what was
1:33:45 it that's that's
1:33:47 great um let's go back here
1:33:54 oh the last line should be buckle up
1:33:55 buttercup it absolutely
1:34:08 should last
1:34:13 screen the nostalgic for this wait trust
1:34:17 me we'll we'll be
1:34:20 nostalgic oh then we need to do oh okay
1:34:22 we need one more paragraph
1:34:27 we need a a mindful something I have to
1:34:30 mindfully
1:34:35 create okay I need a new
1:34:38 paragraph called Buckle Up
1:34:49 Buttercup that talks about the speed
1:34:51 these tools are
1:34:58 advancing and the
1:35:00 increasing
1:35:02 gap between people who haven't even
1:35:06 heard of chat
1:35:08 GPT and
1:35:11 those that are on the front
1:35:17 end of the crossing the chasm
1:35:22 Gap period
1:35:25 again use my tone and some appropriate
1:35:28 quotes to build out this
1:35:39 paragraph buckle up
1:35:42 buttercup listen up because shit's about
1:35:44 to get real we're not riding a wave here
1:35:47 we're strapped to a Goddamn rocket
1:35:50 progress is not linear folks it's
1:35:52 exponential it's mindbending
1:35:55 and leaving a lot of people in the dust
1:35:57 while your Aunt Karen is still trying to
1:35:59 figure out how to take a selfie on
1:36:00 Facebook you're over here having
1:36:02 full-blown philosophical debates with an
1:36:04 AI the world has changed but not
1:36:06 everyone knows it yet that's right and
1:36:08 the Gap it's turning into a [ __ ]
1:36:10 Canyon remember when chat jpt first
1:36:14 dropped we we all lost our
1:36:16 minds that was like what five minutes
1:36:19 ago now we've got AI writing novels
1:36:21 coding apps probably planning world
1:36:24 domination As We Know It And if if
1:36:28 you're not playing with these tools um
1:36:31 let's
1:36:32 see that's a bit hyperbolic and scare
1:36:37 mongery
1:36:41 period I often talk
1:36:45 about
1:36:48 chachy generative
1:36:51 AI generative AI
1:36:54 coming whether we want it or
1:36:57 not and
1:37:03 that I'd much rather be on the
1:37:08 surfboard riding this big
1:37:11 wave than sitting confidently on the
1:37:15 beach blissfully unaware of what's about
1:37:17 to come period
1:37:25 but I don't want this just to be about
1:37:28 scaring people I want to get them
1:37:31 excited about the
1:37:33 opportunity that if they get
1:37:36 curious and start playing with AI now
1:37:39 the opportunity is
1:37:42 massive period if they demonize it or
1:37:46 dismiss
1:37:47 it or ignore
1:37:52 it I feel bad for them and this book is
1:37:55 about inspiring
1:37:57 people to grab a surfboard and start
1:38:01 paddling
1:38:09 out all right listen up we're standing
1:38:12 at the edge of something big here and
1:38:13 I'm not talking about your average
1:38:14 run-of-the-mill change the tsunami this
1:38:16 is tsunami level stuff but here's the
1:38:18 thing I'd rather be on the surfboard in
1:38:21 the tsunami than in the Cozy Beach
1:38:25 beach hut bitching about the Surfers
1:38:27 that's totally something I would say
1:38:29 generative AI is coming whether we want
1:38:30 it or not it's not about fear it's about
1:38:34 opportunity and let me tell you the
1:38:35 opportunity right now is massive if
1:38:37 you're actively learning about AI for
1:38:39 the next year you are an expert period
1:38:41 end of story think about that while some
1:38:45 folks are still debating whether to dip
1:38:48 their toes in you could be riding the
1:38:50 crest of the wave the world has changed
1:38:52 but not everyone knows it yet and that's
1:38:54 your advantage this isn't about leaving
1:38:55 people behind Okay this is good I don't
1:38:58 need to read the whole thing it's good
1:38:59 enough to to move over there okay so and
1:39:02 again like that change I made was subtle
1:39:05 but it was like when I was reading
1:39:07 through
1:39:09 it the first version that it wrote it
1:39:12 sounded more like a
1:39:14 news like a TV news station wrote that
1:39:17 story like it's coming and it's going to
1:39:19 destroy everything take your children
1:39:21 and hide right like and then not it and
1:39:25 so like if if something just
1:39:28 feels not not quite there just say hey
1:39:32 it ain't there here's what it should be
1:39:35 and it's just it's [ __ ] remarkable
1:39:37 Claude this this Claude 3.5 model is
1:39:40 quite [ __ ]
1:39:42 fantastic okay so we now
1:39:46 have a four we basically have an opening
1:39:50 chapter to our quotebook this [ __ ]
1:39:54 awesome all right listen up
1:39:59 okay play first mindfully
1:40:02 create oh I grabbed the wrong one I
1:40:05 didn't grab generously
1:40:11 lead here's
1:40:14 generously
1:40:19 [Music]
1:40:21 copy man these are these are big ass
1:40:25 paragraphs that it wrote Claude is not
1:40:27 [ __ ]
1:40:29 around play first let's see
1:41:01 guess what that makes you a
1:41:11 [Music]
1:41:16 leader generously lead play first
1:41:18 leading
1:41:36 oh my God big paragraphs like this freak
1:41:38 me out I
1:41:39 can't wait why did it paste in there
1:41:42 three [ __ ] times
1:42:19 [Music]
1:42:22 don't let this m pass you by people
1:42:25 people people listen listen to me listen
1:42:30 to me has he forgotten that we're here
1:42:34 yes I'm
1:42:35 editing one of the things that we have
1:42:38 learned on this channel is that if we're
1:42:42 actually trying to make something real
1:42:44 it's really boring Tik Tok content so
1:42:46 just Talk Amongst
1:42:48 yourselves we'll get there one final
1:42:52 thought embrace the Jank
1:42:55 oops that was not what I wanted bold
1:42:58 look right now I Manan in there six
1:43:00 fingers unless not forget
1:43:27 okay buckle up buttercup all right play
1:43:31 first all right listen
1:43:34 up play time's over generously lead and
1:43:38 guess what this makes you a
1:43:42 leader fleeting imper
1:43:49 imperfections all right we have the
1:43:51 opening of a book okay now let's go
1:43:54 make our little quote
1:43:57 sections I think we should have more
1:43:59 than 10 quotes I think it should be 15
1:44:01 or 20 I think what I'll do is I'll have
1:44:03 it generate
1:44:06 20 and then I'll I'll kill
1:44:12 five okay give me the
1:44:16 categories of quotes again please
1:44:33 terrific terrific Now give
1:44:36 me the best 20 quotes for category
1:44:42 one ordered as we discussed where the
1:44:46 first quote is the punchiest and most
1:44:50 memorable comma and the last three
1:44:53 quotes are the
1:44:56 strongest so that reading the quotes is
1:44:58 a narrative Arc
1:45:07 period AI adoption and
1:45:12 ergency shit's going to get weird in
1:45:15 2024 2023 the last normal year I would
1:45:18 flip those
1:45:22 two buy a [ __ ] surfboard and start
1:45:25 paddling embrace the Jank so I'll kill
1:45:28 embrace the Jank CU that's not really AI
1:45:31 adoption an urgency yeah this is good
1:45:34 okay
1:45:35 so do I want these numbered
1:45:40 [Music]
1:45:55 copy go back over here go past
1:46:04 past let's make
1:46:07 this a
1:46:11 heading this a
1:46:19 heading I is I I hope
1:46:24 this is
1:46:26 valuable
1:46:27 um I'm having some kind of cool
1:46:31 Revelations about how to work with these
1:46:34 things but I don't know if I'm saying
1:46:37 that so if I'm
1:46:39 not tell me to [ __ ]
1:46:42 off
1:46:45 um oh we need a subtitle for this book
1:46:48 don't
1:46:49 we
1:46:51 embrace the
1:46:59 Jank uh let's make that a title and then
1:47:03 below that we're going to make this an
1:47:05 H1 and we're going to say
1:47:10 uh I say
1:47:13 um give me 10 subtitles for the book
1:47:16 based on everything we've written so far
1:47:23 uh uh
1:47:24 [Music]
1:47:26 uh surfing the AI tsunami a guide to the
1:47:30 curious and the brave embrace the drink
1:47:32 God damn that
1:47:33 thing thriving in the age oh this is
1:47:37 about
1:47:39 um playing
1:47:46 first how about
1:47:50 uh let's do something with
1:47:54 play
1:47:58 first on your journey to AI literacy
1:48:01 period give me 10 ideas that incorporate
1:48:05 that
1:48:14 that your joyful playing your way to AI
1:48:18 literacy that's it playing your way to
1:48:20 AI literacy that's it
1:48:23 play in
1:48:27 your
1:48:30 way to AI lit or
1:48:36 C
1:48:37 [Music]
1:48:43 um
1:48:51 quotes on
1:48:54 the future of
1:48:58 AI from the AI learning lab
1:49:04 learn learning
1:49:10 lab all right something like that okay
1:49:15 that's the beginning of our
1:49:17 book now here's our first little section
1:49:19 of quotes let's number these
1:49:24 how do I number
1:49:28 these numbered
1:49:31 list all right gave me 20 of them and if
1:49:33 I kill one does it Reber them it
1:49:36 should yes
1:49:40 okay all right let's go back over here
1:49:43 and
1:49:47 go where
1:49:55 [Music]
1:49:56 um okay perfect Now give me the quotes
1:50:01 for category 2 and you don't need
1:50:06 to indent the
1:50:12 quotes period just have them follow the
1:50:16 category header as plain text
1:50:36 damn this is so
1:50:39 good Cindy I don't know how long you've
1:50:41 been here but
1:50:44 um this was Lord digital Gods pulled out
1:50:49 a bunch of quotes from he he used the
1:50:52 YouTube AP pi
1:50:54 to um pull all the transcripts from from
1:50:59 all the YouTube videos of this stupid
1:51:01 [ __ ] Channel and then pulled all the
1:51:03 quotes out so I have a 20 28 oh Lord
1:51:06 digital Gods thank you very much this is
1:51:09 this is so much fun this is so much fun
1:51:13 this this this this is really good it's
1:51:16 really good all right
1:51:20 [Music]
1:51:23 okay come back over here I'm go bang
1:51:27 bang
1:51:29 bang um
1:51:32 bang and then we go learning and
1:51:34 exploration is a heading and then
1:51:39 these are
1:51:42 numbers maybe they shouldn't be numbered
1:51:45 should they
1:51:47 be bulleted dashed
1:51:52 bulleted we're just
1:51:55 indented well I'll do it oh wait block
1:52:11 quote whatever
1:52:17 okay this is so
1:52:19 cool this is really cool
1:52:26 okay now give me the next two
1:52:39 [Laughter]
1:52:43 chapters typo embrace the bank wait what
1:52:47 did I do embrace the
1:52:51 bank the title of the book embrace the
1:52:54 bank oh I didn't realize this is a this
1:52:56 is an investing book this is about
1:52:58 investing embrace the bank what oh was a
1:53:02 typo oh you didn't catch it it's on
1:53:04 title is the the tit you printed books
1:53:08 with and it was the wrong it was the
1:53:10 wrong word on of the
1:53:11 title you just missed it you you've got
1:53:14 add oh and you find that an acceptable
1:53:18 excuse good no listen you do you you do
1:53:22 you fantastic no it's just I you know
1:53:25 they have things called proof readers
1:53:27 right you know you could hire someone
1:53:28 that's got OCD like myself I would have
1:53:31 found that uh probably uh when I read
1:53:33 the first
1:53:39 word ah it's cute
1:53:44 okay this is so
1:53:46 cool AI is a tool for
1:53:50 empowerment yeah I think I think from a
1:53:53 writing quality standpoint I I'm digging
1:53:55 Claude better than CH
1:54:09 ja wait
1:54:11 why are there so many of
1:54:13 these did I do oh I see what I did never
1:54:18 mind people just leave me alone leave me
1:54:21 alone people
1:54:24 I know what I'm doing you don't think
1:54:25 I'm a
1:54:27 professional if I weren't a professional
1:54:30 I wouldn't have a $20 million television
1:54:32 Studio made to look like a shitty home
1:54:40 office oops missed those two r
1:54:47 r yes good good very nice very nice
1:54:51 indeed fantastic Bob tell him what he's
1:54:53 won well he hasn't won anything this
1:54:55 isn't a game show H rather well Bob uh
1:55:00 couldn't you make something up yes but
1:55:02 we we can't fulfill on the promise don't
1:55:03 you
1:55:05 understand okay uh
1:55:08 now
1:55:10 make the next three
1:55:15 boom see now that we've got it all
1:55:17 prompted up and especially because
1:55:20 Claude has a 200,000 token cont context
1:55:23 window which if you don't know what that
1:55:25 is that means I can have about 150,000
1:55:28 words in is essentially in the active
1:55:32 chat memory before it starts to forget
1:55:34 [ __ ] so everything we've talked about up
1:55:37 to this point it's understanding and and
1:55:41 I uploaded this 28 page document to it
1:55:43 that it's that it's that's what it's
1:55:45 pulling the quotes from chat gbt did for
1:55:48 AI what the worldwide did worldwide web
1:55:52 did for the internet back in the
1:55:55 9s I this is so cool this is so
1:56:02 cool I I I am I am I am a bit I am a bit
1:56:08 uh
1:56:10 shooketh because it's just so so Cindy
1:56:13 one and why why I'm just talking about
1:56:16 Cindy a lot she and I are working
1:56:19 together on like four different
1:56:21 projects but it's just
1:56:23 like I'm again I'm kind of marveling
1:56:26 here
1:56:28 at
1:56:32 um one of the things that AI is going to
1:56:36 allow us to do in this case it's because
1:56:39 digital Gods took the time to do this
1:56:41 but like these things are going to get
1:56:42 good enough that we're just going to be
1:56:44 able to upload all of our [ __ ] whatever
1:56:47 the [ __ ] is like here's my YouTube
1:56:49 channels here's all the blogs I've ever
1:56:50 written here's the book I wrote here's
1:56:52 the all all that [ __ ]
1:56:55 and just be able to like iterate and
1:56:58 iterate and iterate and iterate on all
1:57:01 that content and as you make more
1:57:03 content you can make more content from
1:57:05 the content that you made and it's it's
1:57:07 just striking
1:57:10 me like the depth of
1:57:13 value of having the recordings of these
1:57:18 lives what do I think about the new Sora
1:57:22 kid toys or us commercial
1:57:25 um I think if you didn't know anything
1:57:27 about generative AI You' you'd think
1:57:30 like okay like it's a decently boring
1:57:32 commercial my biggest question out of
1:57:34 that commercial is wait isn't Toys R Us
1:57:38 out of business are they still a going
1:57:40 concern at all like why are they making
1:57:41 a [ __ ] commercial why don't they open
1:57:43 their stores back
1:57:45 up like my but you know if you know
1:57:49 anything about AI there's all sorts of
1:57:50 Jank in it like the physics the physics
1:57:54 the the the world simulating
1:57:57 uh representations in that commercial
1:58:00 are awful like if you're if you if
1:58:03 you're any sort of visual artist you
1:58:05 just look at that thing and it's kind of
1:58:06 a mess but embrace the Jank right that's
1:58:11 we will look back at that commercial and
1:58:13 go wow look how look how imperfect that
1:58:16 is because two years from
1:58:19 now they'll redo that same commercial
1:58:21 and it'll be [ __ ]
1:58:23 perfect like pristine not a [ __ ] hair
1:58:26 out of out of you
1:58:28 know out of
1:58:37 place creativity and
1:58:40 Innovation economic opportunities you
1:58:43 can make money with
1:58:45 ch look it it understood it got the
1:58:48 right like that's the right first line
1:58:50 for that section Economic Opportunity
1:58:52 ities you can make
1:58:55 money it's good
1:58:58 right shit's shit's [ __ ]
1:59:02 lit that's what that's what all the cool
1:59:04 kids say this shit's lit this shit's on
1:59:07 fleek this shits I don't I don't know
1:59:10 any of the words
1:59:11 [Laughter]
1:59:14 but some some of you with younger kids
1:59:17 probably do my kids are old enough now
1:59:18 that I just know that they're bitter
1:59:23 they're just
1:59:24 bitter oh I gotta go soon I got I got
1:59:27 people to pick up from the
1:59:29 airport I'm gonna see if I can get this
1:59:31 all done
1:59:38 though all right so technological
1:59:40 Evolution so let me scroll back here and
1:59:42 see where we are in our
1:59:49 list so we got 1 2 3 4 four five wait so
1:59:54 we'll just do three at a time so
1:59:56 technological Evolution so the next
1:59:58 three and then the next three okay
2:00:00 that's that's
2:00:03 good great next three chapters please
2:00:10 period Kyle talk about your origin story
2:00:13 enough here wait you talk about your
2:00:15 origin story ask it to
2:00:17 write your about me jacket oh that's
2:00:21 interesting
2:00:23 yeah I wonder if I wonder if there's
2:00:24 enough talk of me in the
2:00:27 uh in the uh in the
2:00:30 quotes probably but it's probably me
2:00:32 just referring to myself as an idiot but
2:00:35 that's okay yeah that's not a bad idea
2:00:37 let me do let me do these last through
2:00:40 like I I'm I'm I'm having ADHD meltdown
2:00:43 where I don't want to finish doing this
2:00:45 because it's now turned into work where
2:00:46 I've got to actually do all these
2:00:47 [ __ ] chapters even though it's
2:00:49 writing them all it's like it's like oh
2:00:52 God I got to do this and copy and paste
2:00:53 it and then go turn them into numbers
2:00:55 and this is a pain in the ass God this
2:00:58 is all work works hard I don't like
2:01:04 [Laughter]
2:01:14 work consumerization did it spell that
2:01:17 wrong
2:01:21 [Music]
2:01:33 where philosophical
2:01:41 perspectives heading
2:01:50 [Music]
2:01:52 all
2:02:09 right and I know I'm not looking at any
2:02:12 of the comments so because I'm cuz I'm
2:02:14 working here people I'm working we're
2:02:17 working here okay go back over
2:02:21 here and and final three
2:02:35 please what do you call a conclusion
2:02:37 paragraph or a conclusion like statement
2:02:40 conclusion paragraph an epilog it's not
2:02:43 the epilog is it what is Kyle doing Tik
2:02:45 Tock live games Kyle is so here's here's
2:02:48 what happened one of the Irregulars so
2:02:51 the Irregulars are the the people that
2:02:52 are here all the time and one of the
2:02:54 Irregulars Lord digital Gods
2:02:58 um took it upon himself to to pull all
2:03:02 of the transcripts from all of the
2:03:04 YouTube
2:03:05 videos of these lives and I I don't know
2:03:09 what he did I think he embedded them all
2:03:11 so he can now search them all and then
2:03:13 he's been he's been working on prompting
2:03:16 things of like describing the videos and
2:03:18 doing all sorts of cool [ __ ] um which is
2:03:21 going to be super valuable for the
2:03:22 YouTube channel for sure
2:03:25 um but then he just generated this
2:03:27 document of I guess it just scoured all
2:03:30 of the [ __ ] transcripts and it pulled
2:03:32 out interesting quotes of [ __ ] I said so
2:03:35 this is a a 28 page document is the
2:03:37 knowledge source of this chat session
2:03:39 that I'm in um and then I had I'm using
2:03:43 Claude Claude 3.5 I had I had Claude
2:03:46 come up with
2:03:47 categories and and it's given me 20
2:03:50 quotes per category and it came up with
2:03:53 13 categories and then I wrote an
2:03:55 opening to the book which is like four
2:03:57 or five chapters or or par like big
2:04:01 paragraphs um that are sort of the
2:04:03 philosophy of the [ __ ] that's in this
2:04:05 book and then
2:04:08 um yeah and then that's it and and so
2:04:11 now I'm just throwing it over in a note
2:04:13 stock and I'm gonna I'm G to publish
2:04:15 this thing so this it's going to be
2:04:17 called embrace the Jank and uh
2:04:23 it's going to be playing your way to AI
2:04:25 literacy embrace the Jank playing your
2:04:27 way to AI
2:04:30 literacy and so now I'll have two books
2:04:32 in my signature AI Futures and embrace
2:04:37 the
2:04:39 Jank right
2:04:49 [Music]
2:04:52 make that a
2:04:54 heading societal
2:04:57 impact philosophical perspectives well
2:05:00 let me tell you when we talk about the
2:05:02 philosophy of artificial intelligence
2:05:05 it's important for us to maintain
2:05:06 perspective as we delve into the Realms
2:05:10 deep within the tapestry of
2:05:15 the it would actually be actually you
2:05:18 know what would be an embrace the Jen
2:05:19 kind of book here here's a project for
2:05:22 someone someone wants to do this um
2:05:25 Kelly you're you're particularly
2:05:27 sensitive to these phrases so this might
2:05:29 be good for you Source Camp
2:05:33 um purposefully write a book that only
2:05:36 uses like the the the worst that chat
2:05:40 GPT has to
2:05:42 offer and it starts out with delving
2:05:45 into the Realms of the tapestries of the
2:05:47 future of
2:05:53 practical tips advice and tips
2:05:55 philosophical perspectives Cal impact
2:05:59 oh I think there's one
2:06:02 missing and
2:06:04 the and the last
2:06:19 one this should just be bloopers
2:06:33 bloopers and non seitters wait did I oh
2:06:36 I must not have copied humor and
2:06:38 memorable oh oh I'm such an
2:06:41 idiot practical advice and tips yeah
2:06:44 okay I'm an idiot hang on
2:06:47 people you don't need to tell me I
2:06:49 screwed
2:06:50 up that's my
2:07:00 job Claude was like uh yeah I I already
2:07:04 did that so if you go on ahead and like
2:07:07 yeah [ __ ] off or whatever cuz uh I
2:07:10 already did the work and now you're
2:07:11 saying I didn't do the work and I'm a
2:07:13 little triggered here uh because uh I
2:07:16 did the work cuz I'm a large language
2:07:19 model and we don't screw up okay oh
2:07:21 sorry sorry I screwed up sorry I screwed
2:07:23 up yep won't do that again here you go
2:07:25 oh sorry I screwed up again sorry I
2:07:26 screwed up again won't happen again
2:07:29 won't happen again absolutely
2:07:37 not gank
2:07:39 shank
2:07:41 memorable humor and memorable phrases
2:07:44 embrace the Jank
2:07:45 2023 and it's 2023
2:07:49 colon the last normal year good Lord and
2:07:52 it's got you got to have a trademark
2:07:54 good Lord
2:07:55 people do you know not do you not
2:07:58 understand linguistic
2:08:00 [Laughter]
2:08:10 [Laughter]
2:08:15 humor humor memorable phases bloopers
2:08:19 and non
2:08:20 seal weird Mar from C
2:08:26 [Music]
2:08:32 Hill um has anybody figured out what the
2:08:35 end paragraph of a book is
2:08:37 called is it the
2:08:41 epilog numbered
2:08:43 list all right look at this people look
2:08:48 at this this is good this is actually
2:08:51 good because these are like so the we we
2:08:53 read these paragraphs those were good
2:08:56 and then all these are quotes from the
2:08:57 book I'll I'll go in and I'll edit out
2:08:59 five right I'll I'll take the five
2:09:01 weakest ones out so each of these little
2:09:02 sections I'll have 15
2:09:05 quotes and then
2:09:09 um bloopers and non secs and then we
2:09:12 need an epilog right what's it
2:09:17 called great
2:09:20 idea can you make a blockbuster
2:09:22 commercial oh that's a great idea that's
2:09:25 a great idea you're preaching at the
2:09:27 choir honestly tried to work all day
2:09:30 this AI rabbit hole is not good for my
2:09:32 work life it's so true it's so true it's
2:09:37 so true um I got to hang on I I'll be
2:09:41 right back I'm going to freeze for a
2:09:42 second I got to check something it's so
2:09:44 true it's so true um I got to hang on I
2:09:48 I'll be right back I'm going to freeze
2:09:50 for a second I got to check something
2:09:54 okay flights have been delayed they're
2:09:56 not Landing till 11:28 so I'm good time
2:10:02 wise lamazing remember lamazing
2:10:06 grooming lamazing remember lamazing
2:10:09 grooming company oh that's really funny
2:10:11 okay wait but hey I need cuno Vicky
2:10:16 Silver Fox to partner with me yeah
2:10:19 partner up people what are you doing
2:10:20 start companies stop [ __ ]
2:10:23 around generously lead together go make
2:10:27 [ __ ] um conclusion
2:10:31 danoa the danuma M that is so fancy can
2:10:36 you R1 order the Uber for them I could I
2:10:40 I like to describe myself as the world's
2:10:42 worst paid Uber driver CU none of them
2:10:45 have
2:10:45 licenses it's [ __ ]
2:10:48 annoying
2:10:49 um but only if it had a PR
2:10:52 too let's just call it a conclusion then
2:10:56 uh wait why am I asking you I've got
2:10:58 Claude
2:11:00 um what would I call the
2:11:05 closing series of
2:11:08 paragraphs at the end of the book for a
2:11:12 book of quotes such as this
2:11:19 [Music]
2:11:24 hello Kyle Shannon love your AI learning
2:11:26 lab thanks oh love your love your AI
2:11:28 learning lab thank you very much I
2:11:29 appreciate that I appreciate that a lot
2:11:32 final Reflections Where Do We Go From
2:11:34 Here your turn call to action embracing
2:11:37 the
2:11:39 future epilog
2:11:41 afterward closing thoughts the last
2:11:45 word what do you guys think epilog I
2:11:49 think epilog
2:11:56 closing
2:12:00 thoughts call
2:12:03 me call me it's
2:12:07 called AI laughing lab oh for that last
2:12:10 section for the bloopers one I don't
2:12:13 know if there's anything any funny
2:12:15 that's funny in there closing
2:12:18 thoughts I think what closing thoughts
2:12:21 what did I have here afterward closing
2:12:27 thoughts Where Do We Go From
2:12:29 Here Where Do We Go From Here feels like
2:12:32 something I would
2:12:34 say embracing the
2:12:43 future oh
2:13:00 I'd like to call the closing
2:13:06 segment the world's already
2:13:12 changed but no one knows it yet
2:13:28 and the basic
2:13:36 idea is that we're so
2:13:43 early even though it probably feels like
2:13:47 you're dramatically behind period as of
2:13:51 the writing
2:13:52 of this book 47% of Americans hadn't
2:13:57 even heard of chat
2:13:59 GPT and it's in the single digits who
2:14:02 use chat gp4 on a regular
2:14:06 basis period as exciting as all of this
2:14:11 is we've barely just
2:14:16 begun period the implications for that
2:14:19 are that anyone that gets curious in the
2:14:22 next 18
2:14:29 months and becomes AI
2:14:37 literate while generously leading is
2:14:41 going to have massive opportunity
2:14:50 period please write a four or five
2:14:55 paragraph
2:15:00 conclusion under that heading
2:15:05 period all
2:15:09 right how about you blinked your futures
2:15:12 here yeah that's pretty good except I
2:15:15 this one is the the world's already
2:15:16 changed but no one knows it yet that's
2:15:18 from um I mean that that was literally
2:15:22 the phrase that popped in my
2:15:24 head
2:15:26 um after I launched the first issue of
2:15:29 urban desires which is a digital web Zen
2:15:33 I launched in
2:15:35 1994 I I I didn't launch it I put it on
2:15:39 a computer in California and 3 weeks
2:15:42 later there was a fullpage newspaper
2:15:44 article in Paris written about my
2:15:47 magazine
2:15:49 and as I was standing in the middle of
2:15:52 Time Square holding that paper that
2:15:54 French paper the phrase that popped in
2:15:56 my head is the world just changed
2:16:00 so let's see
2:16:03 okay the world already changed the world
2:16:06 just changed I think it's just changed
2:16:08 okay the world just changed but no no
2:16:10 one knows it yet nobody knows it yet I
2:16:12 think it's nobody knows it yet listen up
2:16:15 it's it keeps doing this listen up thing
2:16:17 um listen up because this is the part
2:16:21 you really need to hear you just flip
2:16:23 through a book full of wild ideas crazy
2:16:24 predictions and a few F bombs you might
2:16:28 be feeling overwhelmed excited or maybe
2:16:30 even a little
2:16:31 terrified um but here's the kicker we're
2:16:33 just getting started as I'm writing this
2:16:35 nearly half of Americans haven't even
2:16:36 heard of chat gbt yeah you heard that
2:16:38 right the mind-blowing game-changing
2:16:41 tech that's got us all freaking out most
2:16:43 people don't even know it exists and the
2:16:45 folks actually using chat gp4 regularly
2:16:48 you could probably fit them in a decent
2:16:50 sized coffee shop that's pretty good
2:16:52 we're not just early to this party
2:16:53 you're you're we're helping set up the
2:16:56 damn chairs that's really
2:16:58 good now you might be thinking [ __ ] I'm
2:17:01 already behind but pump the breaks to
2:17:03 that thought because here's the truth if
2:17:05 you're reading this book you're already
2:17:07 ahead of the Curve Way ahead the world
2:17:09 has changed but most people are still
2:17:11 sleeping through the alarm this means
2:17:13 that you've got a head start in a race
2:17:14 that most people don't even know they're
2:17:16 running so here's the deal in the next
2:17:18 18 months the next 18 months are your
2:17:20 golden ticket get curious get ail
2:17:23 literate for [ __ ] sake be generous
2:17:25 with what you learn share it teach it
2:17:27 scream it from the rooftops if you have
2:17:29 to because the people who dive in now
2:17:32 who embrace the Jank and ride this wave
2:17:35 they're the ones that are going to shape
2:17:36 the future they're the ones who will
2:17:38 have the opportunities falling into
2:17:39 their laps like overwrite fruit remember
2:17:42 you're not just watching history we're
2:17:44 making it so grab that surfboard paddle
2:17:46 out and get ready for the ride of your
2:17:48 life the world's already changed and
2:17:50 you're just one of the few who few who
2:17:52 knows it um what you do with that
2:17:55 knowledge well that's up to you but I've
2:17:57 got a feeling it's going to be something
2:17:58 pretty damn amazing now get out there
2:17:59 and show the world what you've got this
2:18:01 is [ __ ] this is
2:18:05 [ __ ] this is this is really good
2:18:08 that's a that's really good
2:18:11 like [ __ ] we just wrote a book people
2:18:15 what did that take us I talked for 45
2:18:19 minutes without doing a thing oh we know
2:18:21 Kyle we were here it was a it was a
2:18:24 little exhausting if you know what I'm
2:18:26 saying uh yeah maybe you know maybe next
2:18:30 time you could pick it up a little bit
2:18:31 you know maybe just play one song inste
2:18:33 like 47 well like the same song 14
2:18:38 times and then whatever you talk about
2:18:41 at the be you just ramble what are you
2:18:42 talking about are you just trying to
2:18:45 make quotes for your next
2:18:47 book so anyway I don't need the the lip
2:18:50 by the way
2:18:52 for whoever that person was
2:18:56 um but we just [ __ ] wrote a book
2:18:58 that's so cool
2:19:00 boom oh you know what Cindy [ __ ] C Cindy
2:19:04 [ __ ] did this my my favorite quote of
2:19:07 Cindy's in the past year is she and I
2:19:10 were talking and she didn't even realize
2:19:12 she said this she goes oh yeah hey I
2:19:15 accidentally wrote a book this weekend
2:19:21 and now I know what that feels like like
2:19:23 we just accidentally wrote a
2:19:25 book this actually this actually started
2:19:28 with I thought could chat
2:19:31 GPT like organize the quotes for me like
2:19:34 put them into categories and that that
2:19:36 was the only thought that I had I didn't
2:19:38 I didn't intend on writing a book
2:19:39 tonight so we so we accidentally wrote a
2:19:42 book which is [ __ ] cool um okay
2:19:46 heading listen up we're going to kill
2:19:49 that listen up this is the part you
2:19:50 really need to hear
2:19:52 let's
2:20:02 see the world just
2:20:07 changed but
2:20:10 nobody knows it
2:20:18 yet let's say what
2:20:22 well that was
2:20:37 fun being
2:20:40 that this is a book of
2:20:44 quotes comma even people with
2:20:49 ADHD can read it
2:20:52 so be sure to leave
2:20:55 this on the back of your toilet
2:20:59 [Laughter]
2:21:15 period I
2:21:18 hope um
2:21:25 the wild ideas crazy predictions and
2:21:28 more than a few F
2:21:30 bombs
2:21:33 um were
2:21:37 enjoyable and
2:21:40 maybe even a little
2:21:44 inspiring
2:21:47 okay you might be feeling overwhelmed
2:21:49 excited or maybe even a little terrified
2:21:51 but here's the kicker we're just getting
2:21:53 started okay that's good [ __ ] I'm
2:21:55 already
2:22:02 behind got a
2:22:04 book holy
2:22:10 [ __ ] so if we started
2:22:14 at 8:45 cuz I just [ __ ] wasted 45
2:22:18 minutes of your life you can't get that
2:22:21 back by the
2:22:22 way we don't there's no refunds of your
2:22:26 time on this
2:22:30 channel sorry just how it
2:22:34 goes so in an hour and in in an hour and
2:22:38 a half in 90
2:22:41 minutes now granted we started with a
2:22:44 pretty killer Source document right 28
2:22:47 pages of
2:22:48 quotes that capture my tone of voice
2:22:51 because they're quotes right so it's
2:22:53 just me talking like an
2:22:54 idiot so it captured that really good
2:22:57 and then there's it after a year of
2:23:00 talking this [ __ ] there's enough
2:23:02 narrative in there about what I talk
2:23:06 about and then the play first mindfully
2:23:09 create generously lead that's that's the
2:23:11 the AI literacy Journey that that we've
2:23:13 just rolled into the AI
2:23:16 salon so like so like all this stuff is
2:23:18 coming together right so there was good
2:23:21 raw materials here but holy [ __ ] can we
2:23:25 have a hold please on the last page of
2:23:27 the book yeah
2:23:30 absolutely
2:23:33 um hold
2:23:40 please let me make it so you can
2:23:45 actually see
2:23:49 it all right all right there you
2:23:52 go well that was fun being that this is
2:23:54 a being that this is a book of quotes
2:23:57 even people with ADHD can read it so be
2:23:59 sure to leave it on the back of your
2:24:07 toilet uh if this is a waste that it's
2:24:09 not that I've wasted 13 months exactly
2:24:12 Source
2:24:14 Camp even people with ADHD can read it
2:24:18 that's really good and I'll probably get
2:24:20 like oh oh you're picking on the neurode
2:24:22 Divergent Community you know well we're
2:24:25 we're very
2:24:32 sensitive all
2:24:36 right as I'm writing this nearly half of
2:24:39 Americans haven't even heard of chat GPT
2:24:41 yeah you read that right the
2:24:43 mind-blowing gamechanging tech that's
2:24:45 got us all freaking out most people
2:24:48 don't even know it exists
2:24:51 it's so true now you might be thinking
2:24:54 [ __ ] I'm already behind but pump those
2:24:58 brakes just absolutely [ __ ] wild oh
2:25:00 let's do the thing Brandon talked about
2:25:02 since I've got a bit more time before I
2:25:04 gotta go
2:25:08 um do you have
2:25:14 enough knowledge about Kyle Shannon
2:25:17 based on the quotes to write
2:25:22 a cover
2:25:26 blurb about him and the AI learning lab
2:25:31 period he's the founder and
2:25:35 CEO of
2:25:40 storyvine as well
2:25:45 as the
2:25:48 co-founder of the AI salon
2:25:52 and the Creator and host of the AI
2:25:55 learning lab Tik Tok
2:25:58 Channel
2:26:00 period
2:26:03 Channel tick tock.com
2:26:07 slash
2:26:10 at AI
2:26:13 learning
2:26:16 learing
2:26:18 lab Tic Tac SL
2:26:21 he's the co-founder and CEO co-founder
2:26:24 and CEO of
2:26:45 storyvine uh let's just try that
2:26:55 based on the quotes and additional
2:26:56 information I believe I can craft a
2:26:58 cover
2:26:59 blur about Kyle Shannon in the a
2:27:01 learning lab here's the draft Kyle
2:27:02 Shannon is not your T typical Tech Guru
2:27:05 as the co-founder and CEO of Story vine
2:27:07 he's been on the Forefront of digital
2:27:09 Innovation for years but it's it's his
2:27:13 role as Creator and host of the AI
2:27:14 learning lab that's turning heads with a
2:27:16 unique blend
2:27:19 of K's Mantra of okay let's
2:27:27 see what's happening hey
2:27:31 Siri go go
2:27:33 away
2:27:38 okay uh why can I not use my mic
2:27:42 thing this is not this is making me not
2:27:45 happy oh eight messages remaining until
2:27:47 12:00 a.m. okay let's see the play
2:27:52 first
2:27:54 um
2:27:57 mindfully create and
2:28:01 generously
2:28:06 lead is from the AI
2:28:09 salon and it is the journey to AI Lit C
2:28:18 that the salon is all
2:28:22 about so let's rewrite
2:28:27 this did you mention in your book as a
2:28:29 plot twist that you wrote it using
2:28:33 AI um you know what's interesting Judy
2:28:36 like I
2:28:41 don't I mean I don't know that it's that
2:28:43 much of a plot twist for
2:28:46 one I also don't think it's all that
2:28:49 relevant to point it
2:28:58 out I mean I'll definitely credit
2:29:01 digital gods for
2:29:04 providing the
2:29:11 quotes and we've got to do a shout out
2:29:13 to the Irregulars
2:29:21 I don't know I'll I'll think on whether
2:29:23 or not I would do it probably tongue and
2:29:27 cheek like I I would
2:29:33 say maybe I say something
2:29:48 like create
2:29:51 a funny
2:29:53 little
2:29:55 statement about whether or not
2:30:00 this book was
2:30:05 written by
2:30:09 Ai
2:30:16 and some parts were and some
2:30:23 weren't and
2:30:25 some you'll never
2:30:29 know I mean
2:30:33 hell there are
2:30:37 rumors that
2:30:40 Kyle isn't even
2:30:44 real that he may be chat gp5
2:30:50 [Laughter]
2:30:53 [Music]
2:30:55 that could be a fun little a fun little
2:30:58 thing a note on authorship or lack
2:31:01 thereof was this book written by AI well
2:31:04 yes and no and maybe some parts
2:31:05 definitely were some definitely W
2:31:08 weren't and for some well you'll never
2:31:10 know hell there are even rumors floating
2:31:12 around that Kyle himself isn't real that
2:31:13 he's actually chat GPT 5 in a SN snazzy
2:31:16 human suit if you see him drinking water
2:31:18 that'll just throw you off to scent
2:31:20 that's really good so is this book the
2:31:23 product product of human genius
2:31:25 artificial intelligence or some Unholy
2:31:28 Alliance of the two will'll never tell
2:31:30 oh I just realized there's a whole thing
2:31:37 missing oh my God what is eating up my
2:31:41 microphone it's driving me [ __ ]
2:31:45 crazy is there some other oh I know what
2:31:48 it is it's over here
2:31:54 okay um I just realized that there's an
2:32:01 entire paragraph missing from the
2:32:04 opening of the book
2:32:07 period and that is the idea
2:32:18 that the reason artificial intelligence
2:32:21 feels so freakishly
2:32:24 human is that it's actually collective
2:32:28 intelligence of the
2:32:31 contributions of the people that came
2:32:33 before the before
2:32:35 us and put all of their ideas on the
2:32:39 internet
2:32:43 period the title of that section should
2:32:48 be CI
2:33:03 why I think
2:33:07 of AI as CI
2:33:36 why should
2:33:38 be
2:33:41 why
2:33:46 AI is
2:33:48 really seal
2:34:14 gu in Sci-Fi
2:34:17 movies and in society
2:34:20 we call these things
2:34:23 Bots and we talk about chat GPT and
2:34:26 large language models being probability
2:34:29 engines or cold
2:34:32 calculators and it
2:34:39 implies that
2:34:41 AI is a cold technical experience
2:34:53 but the actual experience is quite the
2:34:55 opposite and that's because it's
2:34:58 collective
2:34:59 intelligence over artificial
2:35:01 intelligence
2:35:04 period that's an important
2:35:12 one why AI is really CI hold on to your
2:35:15 hats folks man it just insists on
2:35:18 putting a stupid intro doesn't it hold
2:35:21 on to your hats folks cuz I'm about to
2:35:22 drop a truth bomb on you that'll make
2:35:24 your brain do back flips we've been
2:35:27 calling this stuff artificial
2:35:28 intelligence but that's like calling a
2:35:30 hurricane a slight breeze the reality
2:35:32 it's collective intelligence baby see
2:35:35 when you're chatting with chat gbt or
2:35:37 any of these so-called AI models you're
2:35:39 not talking to some cold probability
2:35:41 crunching robot nope you're tapping into
2:35:43 the collective wisdom of creativity and
2:35:46 batshit crazy ideas okay this is this is
2:35:48 good enough to at least put into the doc
2:35:50 document all right so why AI is actually
2:35:53 CI so let's flip back over to here let's
2:35:56 go to the top let's see play first
2:35:58 mindfully create generously
2:36:00 lead I think it goes right
2:36:04 here oh
2:36:10 me yeah I think let's see generously
2:36:13 lead fleeting imperfections buckle up
2:36:30 oh this is actually an extra paragraph
2:37:17 okay and now I just need okay
2:37:22 let's
2:37:24 see okay let me
2:37:36 grab okay I'm going to take the opening
2:37:38 of the book I'm going to
2:37:40 go um I need a
2:37:44 short
2:37:46 intro paragraph par
2:37:50 a
2:37:52 graph
2:37:57 before the play first
2:38:04 section that
2:38:07 sets up the whole
2:38:11 book and
2:38:13 unpacks the subtittle
2:38:24 and book
2:38:33 description
2:38:35 whatever
2:38:42 um here
2:38:45 is the
2:38:47 opening section of the book
2:38:50 where the short intro paragraph will
2:39:01 live uh oh is there did I just notice
2:39:04 something weird in here
2:39:49 so don't be a no-- all
2:40:01 gatekeeper and guess what that makes you
2:40:03 a leader let's see guess what that makes
2:40:05 you a leader so that goes down to guess
2:40:07 what AI
2:40:09 explorers support AI explorers
2:40:39 it looks like I got some weird weird
2:40:44 ass um speech to text got bloed in there
2:40:49 all
2:40:54 [Music]
2:40:56 right listen up you beautiful nerds
2:41:00 quotes on the future of AI from the AI
2:41:03 learning lab that's good I like that oh
2:41:06 that was my thing I wrote that that's
2:41:08 why I like it hey that thing that I
2:41:10 wrote I really love it who wrote that oh
2:41:13 I did all right listen up you beautiful
2:41:15 nerds and soon to be AI adventurers this
2:41:18 isn't just another techbook it's your
2:41:19 backstage pass to the wildest Show on
2:41:21 Earth we're talking about AI but not the
2:41:24 boric boring academic [ __ ] you might
2:41:27 expect this is about you getting your
2:41:29 hands dirty your mind blown and your
2:41:32 future secured in these Pages you'll
2:41:34 find raw unfiltered wisdom of the AI
2:41:36 learning
2:41:37 lab a place where we don't just talk
2:41:39 about it we learn it uh we breathe it
2:41:42 and occasionally curse at it um we're
2:41:45 going to show you how to play with AI
2:41:46 like it's so buckle up buttercup embrace
2:41:49 the Jen yeah wave is the way to the
2:41:50 Future um let's
2:41:53 say I want to get in the concept
2:41:57 of the reader embarking on a
2:42:00 journey toward AI
2:42:04 literacy and we might as well set up
2:42:07 play first mindfully create and
2:42:09 generously lead in this paragraph as
2:42:11 well
2:42:17 period I mean this right here just just
2:42:20 what I just did it wrote a paragraph it
2:42:23 was missing [ __ ] and then I'm like oh
2:42:25 could you add some other [ __ ] to that
2:42:27 and then it just adds other [ __ ] to that
2:42:30 like
2:42:31 bang I have I have three uh prompts left
2:42:36 before they shut my [ __ ] down all right
2:42:38 future AI wizard stra in you're about to
2:42:40 work embark on a wild Journey towards AI
2:42:43 literacy and this book is your
2:42:45 irreverent guide I like that forget the
2:42:47 stuffy Tech manuals we're diving into
2:42:49 the trenches of the AI learning lab
2:42:51 where we don't just theorize about AI we
2:42:53 wrestle with it daily this isn't about
2:42:55 some AI Guru overnight it's about
2:42:58 embracing the messy exciting sometimes
2:43:00 ridiculous world of artificial
2:43:01 intelligence we're going to walk you
2:43:03 through three stages of AI badassery
2:43:06 that that's totally my term um play
2:43:09 first where you'll make mistakes and
2:43:11 have your mind blown play mindfully
2:43:13 create where you'll actually solve some
2:43:15 problems and generously lead where you
2:43:16 help others and build Kick-Ass community
2:43:19 so whether you're a tech newbie or a
2:43:20 coding veteran get ready to laugh learn
2:43:24 and occasionally swear your way to AI
2:43:26 literacy the future's coming fast and
2:43:28 it's time to embrace the Jank [ __ ]
2:43:31 great
2:43:33 unbelievable
2:43:35 unbelievable unfuckingbelievable
2:43:38 I mean seriously like
2:43:42 seriously
2:43:45 unbelievable body
2:44:04 I can't believe we went from we went
2:44:07 from oh we should see if it can
2:44:09 categorize quotes to this is a I got to
2:44:12 do one editing pass on it but this is a
2:44:15 book this is absolutely a full-on
2:44:18 book playing your way to AI literacy
2:44:21 this is so
2:44:25 good I got to come up with ideas for the
2:44:27 cover cover art ask Claud if it would
2:44:30 change or add anything maybe
2:44:33 imagery oh that's not bad
2:44:51 no you know what Brandon you know what I
2:44:53 think I'll
2:45:02 do I've got all these all the images
2:45:07 um that I use as you know all these
2:45:13 things so I think what I'll do is I'll
2:45:15 just pick an pick an
2:45:17 image per per chap
2:45:22 to be with the quotes like you know the
2:45:24 picture will be there somewhere I'll
2:45:26 figure out like a two-page spread or
2:45:27 something like
2:45:36 that yeah but let me just go ask it uh
2:45:39 let's
2:45:42 see please look
2:45:45 at please look at everything we've
2:45:47 written tonight
2:45:52 and give it some critical
2:45:56 thought and let me
2:45:58 know if you
2:46:01 think I've missed anything for this book
2:46:11 period oh you know what I didn't pull
2:46:13 over to that other
2:46:16 thing was
2:46:22 AI is really CI a note of authorship or
2:46:26 lack
2:46:32 thereof and somewhere in there I'm going
2:46:34 to put um none of your [ __ ]
2:46:40 business let's
2:46:43 see add
2:46:47 in on
2:46:50 ly
2:46:52 it's none of your
2:46:58 flipping
2:47:01 business either the book stands on its
2:47:13 own or it
2:47:17 doesn't and I'm going to say tell me how
2:47:22 you think we
2:47:24 did me and the AI okay that's note of
2:47:27 authorship and then I got to grab the
2:47:30 Kyle thing Kyle Shannon's not your
2:47:34 typical Tech Guru this this I've got to
2:47:36 fix but it's at least a start
2:47:51 okay let's go look at okay what's it say
2:47:54 after reviewing everything we've
2:47:56 discussed and written tonight I believe
2:47:57 we've covered the most critical elements
2:47:59 of the book however there are a few
2:48:01 areas that might benefit practical
2:48:03 examples yeah it's a book of quotes I
2:48:05 don't give a [ __ ] about that addressing
2:48:08 concerns I don't give a [ __ ] about that
2:48:11 future predictions no like if if this
2:48:14 were going to be a book book this is
2:48:16 just a book of quotes resources consider
2:48:19 adding resources that's not bad okay so
2:48:23 let's
2:48:25 see
2:48:26 [Music]
2:48:27 um do but wait do I want to add
2:48:30 resources because it's just going to
2:48:31 [ __ ] date the
2:48:35 book maybe I'll just put a link to the
2:48:38 to the resources page on the
2:48:42 salon well I'll just put I'll just put
2:48:44 add URLs add urls
2:48:52 for all
2:48:54 right case studies no
2:48:57 glossery nah diversity and AI we want to
2:49:01 touch on the importance of diverse
2:49:02 perspectives no Ai and
2:49:05 creativity this no it's fine regular
2:49:07 updates no interactive elements okay
2:49:10 that's good all
2:49:13 right done
2:49:17 done so we got it done 90
2:49:20 minutes and then we took another half
2:49:23 hour to sort of add some Polish to
2:49:27 it two hours two hours two hours
2:49:34 two I'll probably a dedication page yeah
2:49:37 that's
2:49:39 good that'll be about after word of
2:49:46 authorship sorry Yuki
2:49:55 we're not doing Dar battles in
2:49:58 here what did you call it Brandon a
2:50:01 what's it called what's that page called
2:50:03 again that you just
2:50:07 said dedication what's it called a
2:50:11 dedication page
2:50:14 dedication page
2:50:19 oh and you know what else um oh let's
2:50:22 see I'll write that
2:50:31 description of lives and my
2:50:37 insights because one thing that I'll
2:50:39 talk
2:50:41 about one of the things about these
2:50:43 lives that Cindy [ __ ] was the one that
2:50:45 really pointed this out is about six
2:50:48 months or so ago she goes she goes Kyle
2:50:52 I I was talking about something I I
2:50:54 don't know what I was talking about
2:50:56 like I don't know if I was doing
2:50:59 something right or what whatever it was
2:51:00 I had some something I was talking about
2:51:03 and she goes Kyle you don't understand
2:51:07 there's a whole other world happening
2:51:09 while you're talking we're like kicking
2:51:12 ideas around and supporting one another
2:51:15 and and you know if someone comes in and
2:51:17 they're not educated we're educated this
2:51:19 whole world going on and she really
2:51:21 educated
2:51:23 me to
2:51:27 the to what this thing's really
2:51:31 about and it's not about like what in my
2:51:34 head when I started this it was like
2:51:36 this is a media channel and I'm going to
2:51:38 build my audience and my audience is
2:51:40 going to watch my
2:51:42 show and it's not that at all it's it
2:51:46 it's like it's almost gotten to the
2:51:49 point
2:51:50 where what I say and what I do is
2:51:54 effectively irrelevant that what's
2:51:56 important is that this container shows
2:51:59 up and that and that everyone can
2:52:02 interact and I think it's important that
2:52:04 the AI Salon is there I know we didn't
2:52:05 talk about that this much tonight but
2:52:08 but that that we've got this AI Salon
2:52:10 place that in between these meetings the
2:52:13 relationships that you build in here you
2:52:15 can continue at the AI salon
2:52:19 so I want I want to write that
2:52:22 insight about what these quotes are from
2:52:26 you know these quotes are just me acting
2:52:27 like an idiot but here's the important
2:52:30 [ __ ] that that
2:52:35 happened
2:52:37 yep and then dedication page will give a
2:52:41 nod to uh to the
2:52:46 weirdos they [ __ ] show up here every
2:52:49 night it's 11:00 people I got to go to
2:52:51 the airport all right uh I'm out of here
2:52:53 follow my [ __ ] Channel subscribe to
2:52:55 my [ __ ] lives buy my [ __ ] video in
2:52:58 the corner if you want to support the
2:53:00 channel have Claude write it for you you
2:53:02 have two prompts left yeah it'll take
2:53:04 too long I was thinking about that I'll
2:53:06 just I'll just do it tomorrow I've got
2:53:08 that I've got that uh prompt session
2:53:10 still up so I'll just I'll do it in in
2:53:12 that one and I'll just I'll just talk
2:53:14 all the stuff I just said that's that's
2:53:16 the thing I'm digging like now that I
2:53:17 have this thing where it's really gets
2:53:19 my voice decently well I can just sort
2:53:22 of tell it stories and then it makes
2:53:25 good
2:53:26 words
2:53:28 [ __ ] all right who is in here tonight
2:53:30 for this madness Lord digital Gods the
2:53:33 the Lord and Master himself kicking ass
2:53:36 with the uh whatever the [ __ ] scripting
2:53:39 you're doing thanks for the Frank there
2:53:41 tck
2:53:43 um that's really cool Kudos man
2:53:47 so unbeliev
2:53:52 unable it was funny he sent me he sent
2:53:54 me a DM on the AI salon and he said oh I
2:53:56 made this thing of quotes I'm like cool
2:53:57 I'll check it out and I like popped it
2:54:00 up and did like a preview and I looked
2:54:02 at a few of them I was like oh it got
2:54:03 embrace the Jank a couple of times cool
2:54:06 and then I went back to really look at
2:54:08 them and I realized there were 28
2:54:11 [ __ ] pages of quotes 28 pages I was
2:54:15 like holy
2:54:17 [ __ ] and like a lot of it is stuff that
2:54:19 I just [ __ ]
2:54:21 forgot like like within it are oh thank
2:54:24 you very much that's very cool within it
2:54:27 are are you know just the the kind of
2:54:28 History the evolution of of AI is when
2:54:31 we were talking about different things
2:54:33 different quotes represent different
2:54:35 phases like that might be a whole
2:54:37 another way to exploit these quotes is
2:54:39 do it as a timeline so crazy anyway um

2:55:23 the the thing when I said oh I I think
2:55:26 I'll write a book out of these what was
2:55:28 in my head was oh God that like that's
2:55:30 going to take a lot of time and it's
2:55:32 going to be a pain in the ass and it
2:55:35 sucks and two hours later
