9. 1:38um so so one thing before if you've got questions about about AI pop them down below I'll do my best to answer them that's
10. 1:46that's what I do here I try to get on here every night uh in in lieu of I used to I used to sim race every night at Sim
11. 1:52race for a couple hours and then I thought you know this this AI stuff's really important so why don't I replace
12. 1:57SIM racing with um with getting on here and and talking about this so if you have questions about AI or or thoughts uh pop it down below
13. 2:06um one thing that I that I I like to talk about so in the mid 90s I was I was there for the uh the early days of the
14. 2:13World Wide Web started one of the first digital magazines uh called Urban desires and and co-founded agency.com
15. 2:20which is one of the early digital agencies and I was the chief creative officer there and and built a lot of the
16. 2:26early websites for the Fortune 500 and felt like incredibly lucky to be part of you know a transformative technology
17. 2:34right there at the beginning and um and I didn't think I'd see another one in my life and here we are I think
18. 2:41this AI stuff is is you know as probably more significant than the World Wide Web and I think it's coming a lot faster
19. 2:49than people are prepared for so that's why this channel exists if you're new to Ai and haven't played with chat GPT
20. 2:55that's what these URLs are behind me chat.openai.com that's the official chatgpt website so while you hear me Babble on
21. 3:03um go there and start playing with it just start with what I call parlor tricks have it write you a poem or a
22. 3:08song or uh I don't know explain quantum physics to you in an Eminem rap and just just start to get your hands around what
23. 3:16it can do bing.com is also chat gbt but it's at Microsoft it's at their search engine and that's gpt4 that you can use
24. 3:24for free and it's connected to the internet and then poe.com is also you can use chat EPT there but there's a
25. 3:30bunch of other models you can play with um prompts.chat will teach you about prompting and then futurepedia.io is a big directory of um
26. 3:40of just AI tools like lots of the music tools and animation tools and picture tools and word tools and all that sort of stuff so um
27. 3:50pop any questions you have below uh tap the the like button initially that'll let people know we're here I would

31. 4:20um and also I I hope you had chat uh gpt4 help you learn the python I hope that's where you were learning it and
32. 4:27and uh our pair programming with with GPT where where it becomes your partner and gets you up to speed much much more
33. 4:34quickly but yeah please feel free free to ask away um hello hello hello is chat gpt4 access current data so
34. 4:45the base model of gpt3 3.5 and 4 all ends at September 2021 but the um gpt4 that's connected to the internet
35. 4:58and Bing that is also connected to the internet kind of fills that Gap right so when you do a search if you search for
36. 5:05something more recent than September 2021 it'll actually do an internet search a Bing search apparently and it
37. 5:13will augment the answer with with relevant data so yeah it effectively is more current than that the base model is
38. 5:20not the base model still stops at September 2021 that's just the nature of how the those core base models are
39. 5:26trained it takes a long time and a lot of money and a lot of people and a lot of data entry um to get it there so that's why there's
40. 5:34that cut off but yeah having it connected to the internet helps hello hello hello um if you're new here my name is Kyle
41. 5:43Shannon I'm an entrepreneur I I'm CEO of a company called storyvine I um uh story finds an 11 year old video storytelling platform and um
42. 5:55we do automated video production though ironically we don't use AI to do the automation um we figured out some other ways to do
43. 6:02that we actually use more Aristotle than AI I'll leave I'll leave that as the hand but um I'm completely rethinking the product
44. 6:10and we're incorporating AI into the platform so fascinating times to be doing anything right now it's absolutely

46. 6:23people can see it what's the best way to generate AI photography with your face so there are there are a number of ways to do it um
47. 6:38so so so let me give you let me give you a couple of uh a couple of options one is you can use mid-journey and they've
48. 6:48got a thing called blend and you can also just upload your picture to Mid Journey I'll show you how to do that in
49. 6:52a second mid journey is a bit of a pain because you have to do it in Discord I don't think that's going to be there for
50. 6:59too much longer but it is right now also with dream Booth there's a thing called stable diffusion there's another
51. 7:06thing called control net so if you're geeky I would say stable diffusion gives you more control um and yeah that's probably the best way
52. 7:16um so let's let me let me I'm gonna flip the camera here and turn off my green screen hold please okay so I'm gonna flip over to Discord
53. 7:34if you haven't used Discord let me let me do a little Discord primer so so Discord if you view slack at work
54. 7:42Discord is very much like that kind of started in the gamer Community then it got really popular in blockchain and nft
55. 7:49communities and mid-journey has has adopted it so down the left hand side of the screen here you see these circles
56. 7:57those are Discord servers so those are different communities um and mid Journey has one but I've also got one here for the AI Salon this is
57. 8:05this is the salon that that I created that if you want to um if you want to hang out with a community of people geeking out on AI
58. 8:14join the AI salon so go to the salon.ai and and within Discord all of these things are conversations and one of our
59. 8:22little channels here is the mid Journey bot and so the mid Journey bot is where you can create things so
60. 8:30the way you create a mid-journey image just in general is you go slash imagine and then it pops open a prompt and you
61. 8:38can say something like I don't know super let's say um let's say cartoon of oh wait sorry hang on hold please cartoon of
62. 8:54middle aged superhero in Tights and I'll just hit that and so that that's going to send that off okay so
63. 9:09that's that's in general how you make an image in mid Journey it's going to go off it's going to make me five of those
64. 9:14I didn't really describe it very well at all but just so you get the the sound so now it's it's gonna start making some
65. 9:21superhero images and they always start blurry and then they get you know over I don't know 50 or so Cycles it gets more and more
66. 9:29clear that's how the how the diffusion technology works so one thing I can do is I can go to my finder and let me go find an image of
67. 9:39myself here oh that's not the one I needed hold [Applause] please
68. 9:59okay there's some there's some images of me so that one's fine I look a little dorky but you know it comes to the
69. 10:07territory all right so basically what I did I just dragged it from the finder or I don't know whatever it's called in
70. 10:13Windows the windows equivalent of that I just dragged a picture into the the mid-journey message thing and it's there and so I hit return
71. 10:20and now that uploaded that photo into Discord and now what I do is I I right click and say copy link so I'm copying
72. 10:29the URL of this image and now I say slash imagine like I did before and instead of typing what I want the
73. 10:39prompt to be I actually paste in that URL of that image and then I put in my prompt so let's go back up
74. 10:47so there's the heroes that it made just in general and I'm gonna go grab that same prompt cartoon of middle age superhero in Tights
75. 10:57and I'm going to put that in after that URL so I've got the URL of the photo of me and then I put in cartoon of a
76. 11:04middle-aged superhero and tights and now it's going to take that image as the inspiration and generate it so
77. 11:12um if I made that a photograph instead of a cartoon then it would be a photograph but these should be superheroes that look more like me so
78. 11:19let's go look at the the ones that were just generic these are some pretty old looking middle-aged people not for nothing
79. 11:30let's go zoom in on these bad boys I mean I mean come on Grandpa here that dude's not middle age he's wearing diapers
80. 11:39that looks like Ed Asner that worked out that one's sort of middle-aged but you know that's that's the one that looks like a superhero the
81. 11:48other ones are pretty funny all right let's go see if if anything's happening down below all right yeah there we go

91. 13:17Microsoft's version of that if you click on the chat button at bing.com and then po.com is one that lets you try a lot of
92. 13:24different models and these two down below are just resources that I think are interesting I'm not affiliated with
93. 13:29any of these things in any way I just think that they're um if you haven't tried it do it and those are the official websites chatgpt
94. 13:36is the thing that I think has has created an inflection point that is going to change lots and lots of things
95. 13:44so if you've got any questions or thoughts about uh generative AI or AI in general some say AI is a demon they do
96. 13:52and then some say it is a savior and some say it's a tool I'm in that ladder Camp um I don't I don't it doesn't deserve as
97. 14:01much power as a demon right now it is certainly a reflection of humanity so to the extent that humanity is has dark sides it reflects that
98. 14:11mm-hmm drinking a little Weller that my boys got me for Father's Day Happy Father's Day to any fathers out there

102. 14:50know what is what is GPT so okay so so two answers to the question if you're asking what does the acronym mean it
103. 15:00stands for generative pre-trained Transformer which is some geeky words that's some geeky ass words but it stands for generative meaning it
104. 15:08generates generates original content pre-trained means that it's a machine learning model that you don't have to
105. 15:17bring your own data it's been trained on lots and lots of data like all of the public internet and then Transformer is
106. 15:23the technology that let it be trained on all that data effectively um that's what it means now how does it actually work let me I will
107. 15:33flip my camera back over and turn off this little screen share and let's go play I'll go show you quickly
108. 15:45what chat CPT is so basically when you get to chat GPT you have kind of a history down here you've got your settings down at the bottom
109. 15:52and then it's really just this blank page it's not dissimilar to a Google search where you have a an entry window at the bottom
110. 16:01and then you can choose different versions of it if you're using the free version you just have access to GPT 3.5
111. 16:07I think they call it GPT turbo or something like that when you don't pay for it um and then what you do is is you
112. 16:14basically ask it things and and and have it do things and and it it it the depth of knowledge that it has the
113. 16:22depth of what it can do is is mind numbing and face melting but you can have it do silly things like um write me a country song
114. 16:36um like Garth Brooks about I don't know a cat that jumped out of a pickup truck
115. 16:53on a Dusty Road and it will write you a song and it will do it very very quickly and it tends to be pretty good even gbt 3.5 gpt4 is better
116. 17:07uh the sun was high on a Dusty Road in my old pickup truck I was carrying my load radio playing some good old Tunes
117. 17:14just another day under the big Skies Moon and then out of nowhere in a blur of gray a little cat jumped out and stole
118. 17:22my heart away so there you go so there's your country song um you could say um give it's some chords so one of the interesting things about
119. 17:34um GPT chats is that it's got memory of the things that you've talked about before so when I said Give It chords it
120. 17:43understood that that meant give the song chords and so now it it gave me a classic gcd you know the old classic
121. 17:50three chord Country Song chords which is cool now I can say um make a table comparing um four different music genres
122. 18:10sure here's a table comparing four different music genres right so pop characteristics popular artists iconic songs pop rock hip-hop country
123. 18:20um you can also do things um like if you want to Learn Python like Lily who's in here who said she's she's
124. 18:29been deep diving on python you could say write me a python application that measures the wave length
125. 18:44of light coming from a sensor I don't know I don't even know if that's possible sure that's possible it can write it and
126. 18:52then it writes you the code so so chat gbt basically allows you to to sort of query against all of this deep
127. 19:03knowledge and you can start to do some really interesting things like start to solve problems with it you know for example
128. 19:10um maybe you're trying to do a marketing plan for your business you could say hey act like a marketer and you know here's
129. 19:17what my business does and here's the challenge I'm facing help me come up with a marketing plan if I don't have a
130. 19:21lot of budget or if I do have budget or whatever it might be and then it'll give you a marketing plan then you can say oh
131. 19:27that's great can you help me write some copy for some banner ads and then it'll do that and and it literally kind of
132. 19:33anywhere you aim it it shape shifts into the thing you're trying to do it's got some um interesting challenges like it
133. 19:41will lie to you confidently they call it hallucinating which is which is a pretty funny term um but anyway that's that's chat's apt
134. 19:49so if I hope that answered your question can you build me a Salesman bot um possibly I I mean what I would
135. 19:57encourage you to do is is do one on your own and I don't quite know what you mean by a Salesman bot meaning
136. 20:03um if someone asks it something it always turns it around and says here's my solution um give me a little bit more context on
137. 20:11that and I can show you how we can create a bot really quickly in Poe um like I've created uh Shakespeare Bots
138. 20:18and I created a Yoda bot and a Jay-Z bot and a Steve Jobs bot that just talked like those people the salesman one could
139. 20:26be could be interesting could be specific I can at least show you how to do it and then you can go play
140. 20:31um do you have an Instagram too I've got from the this image that's behind all these URLs is from an art project they
141. 20:38did called Kyle Shannon dreams so I have my Kyle Shannon at Kyle Shannon Instagram is my photography so I'm a
142. 20:47photographer as well and then Kyle Shannon dreams is my art project that's got all my stable diffusion wacky self
143. 20:55portraits with little stories tied to them and then also there's a tick tock Channel called at Kyle Shannon dreams

147. 21:24Schumann resonance stuff like I don't know what the hell's going on with the Schumann resonance but it all looks like
148. 21:29DNA today so if you haven't seen that go to Twitter and type in Schumann resonance and uh apparently apparently
149. 21:37we're entering another dimension or you know time traveling or something who knows maybe we really are in a
150. 21:44simulation that'd be trippy I mean all of a sudden everything goes we just yeah someone someone hacked the simulation
151. 21:57oh but but the question is um you could if you took the data of the Schumann resonance thing you could have it compose music to it I
152. 22:09mean I don't know let's see here let me go show you I'll go show you this because because it's at least interesting to look at um

155. 22:43resonance is the um frequency of the Resonance of Earth and so it normally looks something like that and then for the past 36 hours I think

157. 23:02could take the data from that and then you could probably pop the data into chat gbt and and say um you know write write me a song
158. 23:12based on that but let's let's go over here to so so I just selected browse with Bing so there's three different models if if
159. 23:22you pay for chat GPT plus you get access to gpt4 um default you also get access to gpt4 connected to the internet and then
160. 23:35you get access to plugins so let's let's say um the past 30 36 hours the Schumann resonance
161. 23:49has looked like human DNA can you compose a song in ABC format ABC format
162. 24:03is a basically like a text formatting of music that that there are players for so can you compose a song in ABC format um inspired
163. 24:19by the anomalous data let's see if it goes off and finds the data the Schumann resonance is a global electromagnetic resonance excited by
164. 24:33lightning discharges in the cavity formed by Earth's surface and the ionosphere they tend to Peak at certain frequencies
165. 24:41well those resonances have complex patterns it's quite a leap to say that they look like DNA well they do the the
166. 24:47chart does however there's an AI can try to interpret it ABC notation that's a very simple song there may be this key is in C major
167. 25:00um can you make it in a minor um let's see what it does sure so now it's going to write that it's called resonances and Helix in a
168. 25:16minor all right and then what I'm going to do is I'm going to say where can I play ABC Music on the web or when
169. 25:35so now I'm going to go copy all this copy all right you can use this player it actually gave us a player we're gonna
170. 25:50go paste so there's the song it wrote it's just all quarter notes which is boring and shitty [Music] okay that's horrible so one of the
171. 26:05things you can do with with uh geez that's bad um with gbts you can tell it it's bad I say okay that song was bad
172. 26:18and just a linear scale of quarter notes please make something more interesting musically musically
173. 26:35and it should apologize I apologize if the previous song didn't meet your expectations let's try something a bit more complex

183. 27:59show things like I can um the the the prompt that I gave chat EPT in that case was particularly weak and
184. 28:10it obliged and gave us a particularly weak response like that was just a crappy song um there there are probably ways you
185. 28:18could prompt that like tell it to act like a classical composer that has you know great knowledge of Music Theory and
186. 28:24there's there's ways that you could you know tweak The Prompt and part of the art of Chachi BT is starting they call
187. 28:31it prompt engineering or prompt crafting but part of the art is really understanding the back and forth with
188. 28:36the machine and and getting good at having the conversation with it but anyway uh the the short answer to your question is yes
189. 28:44um it's not really connected I can't take that image of the Schumann resonance and put that in yet although that's coming
190. 28:51um gpt4 is multimodal it's just not live yet multimodal meaning you can upload a picture and have it interpret that picture
191. 29:01by the way happy uh Father's Day to all the fathers out there what is the best free AI to use Okay the reason I have these URLs here
192. 29:12is they all have free options um chat.openi.com is the official chat gbt website in my opinion that's the
193. 29:20best even the free version that's GPT 3.5 if you pay for it you get gpt4 and you get plug-ins and you get some other stuff that's coming
194. 29:29bing.com is Microsoft's if you it's their search engine but if you click on the chat button that's gpt4 for free and
195. 29:37it's connected to the internet and then po.com lets you create Bots and play with a bunch of different large language models and their paid
196. 29:46subscription gives you access to some super cool stuff too so that's why these are there the these are ones that I
197. 29:51think are if you're going to start start with this stuff if you're really into images start with mid Journey probably or adobe Firefly
198. 29:59uh and then these two things below the bottom one futurepedia.io is just a giant directory of AI tools if you want to run down
199. 30:07a rabbit hole a day for the next year you probably couldn't get through all of what's there and it's you know it's
200. 30:14growing every day and then prompts.chat will teach you about prompting that idea of how do you prompt these uh large
201. 30:20language models to give you interesting things that's what those are about all right best stock trading platforms I can
202. 30:26use AI Bots to bid with I so I would go ask chat GPT that for one thing I don't I don't know a ton about trading but you can also any
203. 30:36trading platform that has Bots you can copy the code of the bot put it into chat EBT and then have it give you a new
204. 30:43bot that that focuses on different triggers or you can take two different Bots and merge them together
205. 30:49um so you can you can have chat GPT act as your um an educator for you um and a partner helping you do the the trading stuff
206. 31:022001 Space Odyssey mentions AI I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid I can't do that yes it does it's it's it's one of the original
207. 31:11sin sort of AI movies where the the uh the the robots are gonna kill us right so so one of the things going on in
208. 31:18society right now with with this AI stuff is that people that haven't used it there tends to be a default of fear
209. 31:24that these things are powerful we don't understand them they're scary as [ __ ] and by the way Hollywood for the past 50
210. 31:31years has told us that they're going to kill us and so so people are either dismissive of it of like oh yeah they said
211. 31:39blockchain and nfts are going to be big but those are stupid and now you're saying and then Mark Zuckerberg said to
212. 31:45metaverse was going to be big and that was stupid and now you're saying ai's gonna be big uh yeah I am
213. 31:52I'm saying ai's the one the metaverse I could never figure out it always seemed like you know um it's still why does it still look
214. 31:59like second life from like 2000 why right and if you notice what Apple did they didn't mention the word metaverse once
215. 32:09um and they created a pretty remarkable piece of hardware and and redefined the category of spatial computing
216. 32:16um but it's but it's a little scary from the outside and and it's easy to dismiss it but one of the interesting um things about
217. 32:24um generative AI chat GPT in particular and and why this channel exists why I sort of Point people there so I was a I was a
218. 32:34um I guess I hate calling myself an innovator I was there at the early days of the world wide web in the mid 90s I
219. 32:40started one of the first digital agencies and we all know how transformative that was it changed like everything about how
220. 32:46we communicate about how we date about how we do business about how just everything right to get to 100 million users the World
221. 32:54Wide Web took six years it took six years to go from zero people using the World Wide Web to 100 million
222. 33:00chat GPT got to 100 million users in six weeks six weeks to 100 million users fastest adoption of technology in history it's
223. 33:11also profoundly more powerful right you know it can write you a novel it can write you a screenplay it can write you
224. 33:18a marketing plan it can do programming for you it can do lots and lots of things now does it do them perfectly no
225. 33:24does it hallucinate and lie and give you bad answers a fair amount of the time yes um is it still the most remarkable piece
226. 33:33of technology ever put in the hands of man yes and what Chachi BT did the inflection point why this channel exists
227. 33:41the inflection point is it's not just the purview of scientists and researchers anymore Chachi BT put it in
228. 33:49this simple interface that's like as simple as a Google search box that the rest of us get to play with it um and so it's going to affect
229. 33:57everything from you know copywriting to data analytics to you know illustration to animation to filmmaking and everything in between

237. 34:55um but if you go to canva you can just go uh canva.com go to their flyer section and there'll be a bunch of
238. 35:02designs there if you're talking about writing the copy absolutely you can say in fact you could say to check gbt you
239. 35:10know I want you to act as a a marketing copywriter and I want to do flyers for my band or for whatever it is my yard sale
240. 35:19um can you write the copy give me 10 different Flyers um and and what what images should be on them and it'll write all that copy for
241. 35:28you you can pick the one you like best you can tell it if it didn't get them right you can tell it make it funnier
242. 35:32make it more serious make it whatever and then you can just take that copy over to canva paste it into a template

281. 41:32knowledge work almost all creative work um probably most work and I think it's coming a lot quicker than people know
282. 41:38so so in a very you know in a very serious from from a very serious place like why I'm doing this is um
283. 41:49don't don't just assume that you don't have time like go play with it go play with chat GPT think about the thing you do for work or
284. 41:58or the thing that you do that you enjoy and start interacting with chat GPT see if you think seeing if you can use it
285. 42:06kind of like a really capable co-worker that happens to be super smart like way smarter than you or I will ever be
286. 42:13that's kind of what it's like um and and you know have it have it help you create a project plan for work or
287. 42:21have it help you create you know something you're trying to do with the family or with the church group or something like that um
288. 42:28and and uh if you end up hating it and they're like that's a waste of my time cool but but don't don't sit sit in the outside and judge it
289. 42:36um until you actually experience what these things are capable of it's wild I think in the 1930s it was promoted that
290. 42:42robots would be everywhere it was and we're there finally um if you could direct generative AI toward one thing for the benefit of our
291. 42:52society what would it be um I the the thing that I'm most excited about with AI and the thing where I
292. 43:00think it's got the possibility of doing the most good is that generative AI is really really good at interpreting complex things and making
293. 43:14them simple for lack of a better term so you can just put it on top of like like with the plugins with um with chat GPT
294. 43:26you can take the kayak travel plug in and just say go book me a flight to Cincinnati on these dates and it will go
295. 43:34off book you those flights come back it might ask you some clarifying questions and then book you the trip
296. 43:41that's a really simple example but it's going to start happening everywhere there's also there's a new
297. 43:47um module coming out for chatpt called code interpreter where you can upload an incredibly complicated spreadsheet of data
298. 43:56and it will just learn it and then you can treat it like a full-on data analyst so so um what's interesting about this data
299. 44:05and it will write python code and create charts and graphs and tell you what's interesting about it you could say where
300. 44:10within this data are there any anomalies like where does something not look right and it will just find it for you instantly um so
301. 44:21so then I look at so so if it's really good at making the complex simple then I look at well what's the what's a
302. 44:29lot of what we do every day what we spend our time on every day a lot of what we spend our time on is
303. 44:37dealing with overly complicated systems I want to book a doctor's appointment oh I got to call my insurance company to
304. 44:45find a doctor and then that and then is it covered and is it in network and is it out in network and then you go to the
305. 44:52doctor and then they're only supposed to give you a 20 copay but it's a 362 dollar copics and then you're three
306. 44:58hours on the phone like all of that [ __ ] is soul-crushing right and some people do that for a living right some people's
307. 45:05job is deal with the complex systems that are in place so we can make money or or are just in place because we don't
308. 45:11have a better way to do it large language models can sit on top of that and automate all that soul-crushing repetitive
309. 45:21low value over complicated work it can automate it automated out and what that potentially leaves us is to say as humans if I don't have to
310. 45:35do that shitty work what might I do how might I contribute how might I connect with other other people so for me the promise of
311. 45:46generative AI is it allows human beings to kind of elevate to be their best selves I know that sounds like utopian
312. 45:54and and and and kind of ridiculously you know sappy but I really do think that's a possibility I mean my experience with generative AI is
313. 46:05so so it's incredibly creative right like you it creates these amazing images and it can help you write it can help you do all this stuff
314. 46:12one of the questions I get asked a lot is well if it's doing all that creative work aren't you less creative and it's
315. 46:17the absolute opposite is true I've I've not been as creatively and intellectually stimulated as I've been
316. 46:25in the past six months for like the past 15 years because the the AI is doing all of the work that used to get in the way of my creative
317. 46:37thinking and here's what I mean by that historically if I have a creative idea and I've got ADHD so I've got like you
318. 46:45know [ __ ] 50 a day right some some [ __ ] you know electro shock happens in my brain it's like oh I got an idea
319. 46:53historically what I would have done is I'd have gone okay if I want to bring that idea to life I should probably make a flow chart
320. 47:00to to like organize my idea I know let me go get some flow charting software and then I'd go on the internet go to
321. 47:07Google and say flow charting software and then like 17 clicks later I'd find something that was sort of like what I
322. 47:13wanted and I download it and then I'd install it and then I wouldn't have enough room in my hard drive and then
323. 47:18and then and then I would go to launch it and like I'm not allowed to use it unless I pay 25 for it and like at this
324. 47:24point it's 45 minutes in I don't even know what the idea was and I don't give a [ __ ] anymore and I'm like oh [ __ ] this
325. 47:30and I delete the software and I just go about my day what happens with this generative AI stuff is I have that Whisper of an idea
326. 47:38and I'm like huh let me see if I can put let's put that together I pop it into chat GPT boom up comes it organizes my
327. 47:46thoughts oh that's really cool that gives me two more ideas what do I do with those oh you know what would be
328. 47:50cool is have an image that goes with that and then I jump over to Mid journey and within [ __ ] 30 seconds over there
329. 47:55now I've got an image like oh yeah that's it and and so I find myself operating at this higher plane more consistently because
330. 48:04all of the Tactical over complicated [ __ ] work like the blocking and tackling eighty percent of the work that we do happens like that
331. 48:15so for me the thing I'm most excited about is okay do the 80 [ __ ] work and let us as human beings do that that 20
332. 48:24stuff and what might we do if we don't have to do all that other stuff I think it could be really good I think it could be profoundly good

352. 50:55images and it like it copies the style like in remarkable ways um so I wouldn't count Google out but Google got blindsided by the popularity
353. 51:06of chat gbt as did open AI that invented it as did Microsoft Microsoft is pouncing on the opportunity because they didn't have a chance in
354. 51:16hell at competing with Google search and all of a sudden chatgpt came out and it's an existential threat to Google so
355. 51:25really interesting times in terms of the competitive landscape that that was you know it was effectively a monopoly by
356. 51:32Google for a lot of years all of a sudden shit's different shit's coming or shit's here and Google's like uh we got AI too in fact
357. 51:45we invented this [ __ ] which they did but then they didn't focus on it I think probably because they knew it was a threat to
358. 51:54their search business that's my uh speculation that is purely speculation uh uh some someone said AI is a demon porthole possible
359. 52:08maybe that's what's going on with the uh the Schumann resonance maybe it's all AI or maybe it's a hack or maybe it's I

379. 54:56Times named Kevin Roos who started having a chat with chat gbt at Bing and spent four hours with it and got it to
380. 55:04admit that its name was Sydney and and kind of made it snap and then Sydney told Kevin Roos that it was in love with
381. 55:11him and he should leave his wife and so Kevin screenshotted that and they put it on the cover of the New York Times so
382. 55:17Microsoft lobotomized Sydney so so bing.com has been a little squished squished ahead it um I think it's getting better but it's
383. 55:29it's just not as good as as the GPT for it openai.com but anyway that that's why so do you have YouTube I I do not have a
384. 55:36YouTube I think that seems to be a request so at some point I'll figure that out great content still learning

397. 57:16um I've been I've been sort of teaching them for two hours and literally just wrangling cats and like they're bouncing
398. 57:22off the walls and like you know some of the bad boys are going tell it to make boobies I was like no I don't know how to make Blues
399. 57:29so at the end of this two hours this one kid comes up to me and he goes you know I'm uh I'm making a computer program in C sharp
400. 57:38and I was like really he goes yeah it's a clone of Flappy Birds I'm like cool and and I said how's it going he goes
401. 57:46well I got some I got a bug in the code and uh so I'm gonna have to throw that out and start over I'm like yeah it's a
402. 57:51bummer I said if you use chat GPT to to help you yeah yeah yeah I know how to use that all right okay so so I said come here take a look at
403. 58:00something so I pop open chat gbt and I say make a c-sharp applications that's a clone of flappy birds that will run in
404. 58:08unity which was the environment that he's he's programming in and it spits out all this code right because it's
405. 58:17it was like that moment in in Home Alone where Kevin goes we went and and he goes I gotta get my computer
406. 58:27and he ran down four flights of stairs we were in a four four-story school he ran down four flights of stairs gets his
407. 58:33laptop runs back up to four flights of stairs and he sits it down and goes okay he goes here's my code so he copies the
408. 58:42code we we paste this code into chat EBT and we say is is there a bug and it said sure there's a bug right here and he had
409. 58:49a typo right it was a simple little typo and so he copies the new code he goes into Unity pastes it into unity and it
410. 58:59runs and now he's playing Flappy Birds and he stops and he looks at me and he goes this changes everything it's like it's
411. 59:09like this magical moment so you get a you get I mean how you get kids involved in [ __ ] is you let their imagine take
412. 59:16over right or their imagination take over and so um figure out what they're interested in like like if if I don't know if you're
413. 59:24teaching a thing about bugs you know go into chat and have it make poems about bugs and tables comparing different bugs and
414. 59:34um have it come up with creative names that incorporate Latin bug names into the names and and then go to Mid Journey
415. 59:42or stable diffusion or where wherever and have it make bugs and then talk about like just get just start playing
416. 59:51play like and I feel like that goes for adults as well right it's really easy to go well this this machine learning this these AI

427. 1:01:16um so just I don't know play get curious any tips on creating dxf Vector files with prompts from Ai and mid-journey
428. 1:01:26well you're not going to create any dxf Vector files with um mid-journey because it's just creating um bit mapped images
429. 1:01:39it will create things that look like their dxf right if you say create a dxf 3D vector image in mid Journey it'll
430. 1:01:46create something that looks like that but it won't have the 3D data right because just the nature of how diffusion
431. 1:01:51models work it's creating denoised pixel images whatever at some point in the future they're going to be able to well
432. 1:01:58they can already do it now to a degree whatever it doesn't matter like at some point in the future they'll be able to

454. 1:05:42and it'll just spit out a bunch of graphics for you it's stupid cool it's so stupid it's so stupid it's cool Gen X baby
455. 1:05:55um I don't know those two things were not related but I just feel like an idiot and I am drinking whiskey but I
456. 1:06:02haven't had enough to be drunk yet stock stock I like in AI I'm not an investor um other than in my own companies um
457. 1:06:16I like the companies that I think are worth paying attention to right now Nvidia just hit um a trillion dollar market cap AMD is
458. 1:06:25claiming that they're going to compete with them but I don't know I don't I mean can they maybe they can
459. 1:06:32um I think they're maybe the only ones who can Microsoft is um acting like a startup for the first time in decades um
460. 1:06:42open AI you can't invest in I think anthropic's a really interesting company but I don't think you can invest in them they're private um
461. 1:06:54Adobe is doing I mean they're big and established but but the their work in the past four months on generative AI making it safe for
462. 1:07:06commercial entities to use generative AI images is [ __ ] baller and and it's like no one's touching them right now
463. 1:07:15so I think adobe's really interesting um is there an AI product that can do photo editing with specific requests like fix
464. 1:07:26washed out backgrounds that exists to a degree there's a lot of the the AI filters that have been in Photoshop for
465. 1:07:33a while I mean one of the things about AI is it's been in our software products for for a long long time
466. 1:07:39I think what you're talking about though is a large language model front end like on top of um Adobe um Lightroom for example where you've
467. 1:07:50got all these complicated you know switches and settings and you just want to be able to say you know make it look
468. 1:07:56more saturated you know give it darker vignette and it just does all that [ __ ] um I would assume that we're going to see
469. 1:08:04that in Adobe you know probably within the year like they just they just released in the beta of Illustrator a thing
470. 1:08:13called generative recolor or something recolor where you basically take an image and you just say give me a whole
471. 1:08:20new color palette and it dynamically recolors the thing for you so um so I think you'll see that coming I
472. 1:08:27don't know again I would anything very very specific like that I'd go to futurepedia.io I'd look up photo editing or you know photography at
473. 1:08:36futurepedia.io there there's probably something out there that does it but I would wait for one of the big players to
474. 1:08:42incorporate it because they will uh uh do they pick stocks well like the AI does what you tell it to do

476. 1:09:02approach for how I might choose which stock to invest in and it'll tell you that it'll probably tell you that it
477. 1:09:07can't give you Financial advice because it's got safety [ __ ] in it and then tell it to say based on the
478. 1:09:13data that I gave you you know which one would you recommend and see what it does so so again you know the the the the the
479. 1:09:19how you phrase the question do they pick stocks they the AI are not kind of walking around on their

505. 1:12:45sort of dug into every nook and cranny of the public internet so everything from Wikipedia to blogs to library
506. 1:12:53servers to uh what just whatever just just data everywhere that process of building that base model was very very labor intensive and and
507. 1:13:03just required a lot of hand tagging of data and organizing and sifting and so that process stopped in September of 2021
508. 1:13:14the the so so while the base model stops at September of 2021 bing.com and then gpt4 um that's connected to the internet at open AI
509. 1:13:27because they're connected to the internet if you do anything beyond September 2021 it'll basically just go
510. 1:13:33do a Google Search and then it will augment your answer with up-to-date data so so it's it's um if you're using the
511. 1:13:41free version of GPT 3.5 that's not connected to the internet and that will tell you it stops at September 2021 but
512. 1:13:49if you go to bing.com and click on their chat button that's connected to the internet and you can get up-to-date
513. 1:13:55information in your searches there are a few YouTube channels that teach you how to make your own Discord

527. 1:15:55there's one that I've been talking about in the lives there's a a paralyzed guy I think he's in Italy he's been paralyzed for 12 years
528. 1:16:04they took fmris of his brain and they um used a large language model they told him to think about moving his legs and
529. 1:16:13he thought about moving his legs and they used large language models to learn those patterns and then they built a Bluetooth bridge
530. 1:16:20to go from from his brain they took those signals from his brain and they sent him over Bluetooth to electrodes at
531. 1:16:27the base of his spine they jumped the injury and now he's walking like holy [ __ ] [ __ ] like really yeah
532. 1:16:36so so like I I don't know so the rabbit hole runs deep what are the entrepreneurial and job opportunities what should we do now so so
533. 1:16:53the the short answer is I don't know the the longer answer is there's there's a guy named Paul writer um he's got a podcast called the
534. 1:17:03marketing AI Institute um I would strongly encourage you to listen to it but he he has this saying where he says AI is not going to replace
535. 1:17:10your job but someone using AI will and so I think the most important thing to do right now is just get curious just
536. 1:17:18start playing start understanding what these things make possible start um go to an image generation tool if you go to bing.com create
537. 1:17:30that's the dolly image generation tool so if you go to bing.com and click on chat you can chat with chat gbt for free
538. 1:17:38if you go to bing.com create and you input make me a picture of a penguin skiing down a black diamond Mogul Hill
539. 1:17:48you'll have a picture of a penguin skiing the the image generation isn't super great but it's there so so I would say first just start
540. 1:18:00understanding what these tools can do and what they make possible then I would go to something like prompts.chat which
541. 1:18:07which starts to teach you the concept of prompting and how you start thinking about interacting with these tools more
542. 1:18:13like a collaborative partner than like a search engine because that's more what it's like you kind of go back and forth
543. 1:18:19with these tools and you can do some really sophisticated things very very quickly and then what I would do is I would
544. 1:18:26start saying you know what are you good at like either what are you passionate about professionally or what are you
545. 1:18:31good at professionally and start then figuring out okay how can I do what I do or what I I enjoy having these tools help me do that better
546. 1:18:41and then the the final piece of the puzzle so it's like get curious then get professionally curious and I would say along that Journey share
547. 1:18:52what you're learning with other people that's why this channel exists I just had to get this [ __ ] out of my head I'm
548. 1:18:57like I can't process how powerful this is I can't like I have no place to put this and no one understands what the [ __ ] I'm talking about

554. 1:19:39it on LinkedIn all of a sudden have a job the guy that I I have a newsletter called everyday Ai and Greg the guy that
555. 1:19:46I work with on that he just got a really powerful job and a big part of it they cited was the everyday AI newsletter the
556. 1:19:54fact that he was that he knew about Ai and then he was talking about Ai and that he was a thought leader in it so
557. 1:20:00just get curious like there's not a specific thing there's not a course to take is there anything that can make
558. 1:20:05chat EPT remember such as code or files hallucinations too often yes so it does hallucinate too often there is there's a
559. 1:20:13thing called Lang chain which allows you to train chatgpt on your own data so you can point it at directories and then
560. 1:20:21it's got a thing called a vector database after you embed your files it puts the vectors in a vector databases
561. 1:20:28all sorts of geeky [ __ ] right but that's memory that Vector database is memory so I would say go explore Lang chain
562. 1:20:35um and then you can also look at things like um GPT for all and Auto GPT and agent GPT which are kind of
563. 1:20:43autonomous agents that that leverage Lang chain Lang chain stands for language chain it's basically just a
564. 1:20:51series of tools you can string together um to augment these these core large language models um you got to be decently geeky though
565. 1:21:00the other thing you can do is wait so um gpt4 is going to be rolled into all of Microsoft 365. the office 365. it's
566. 1:21:10going to be rolled into windows it's going to be rolled into the Azure cloud services it's going to be rolled into
567. 1:21:16Google's office suite so this stuff is going to be coming I would say six months to a year you won't have to use
568. 1:21:22something like Lang chain but if you want to play now um that's a that's a place to start can chat do simple animation of black and
569. 1:21:30white line art not yet and marry it to an audio file scripted on demand oh you want full multimodal that's coming that's probably gpt5
570. 1:21:40um gpt4 can um ingest images I I don't think it can create them but I'm sure when they roll it together with Dolly it'll be able to
571. 1:21:49create them but that's not even launched yet um but you can you can have Chachi BT do things like you give it a subject that you want 3D
572. 1:22:05line art for and it will generate a mid-journey prompt and then you can take that to Mid journey and generate that so
573. 1:22:11with multiple tools you can do what you're talking about there's just not a single tool that wraps it all together right now
574. 1:22:18what are the top three tools you recommend for Content creation chat GPT is the big one it's it really is the big
575. 1:22:26one if you look at tools out there like um oh what the [ __ ] it called uh copy.ai and the other one Jasper those
576. 1:22:35things are just kind of pre-prompted rappers sitting on top of chat GPD it's sitting on top of GPT three and four um
577. 1:22:46for me the big tools are you know one of these three for the words mid Journey for images or stable diffusion for images or if you're
578. 1:22:55doing things commercially Adobe Firefly and generative fill um and then zapier for automations like you can you can automate
579. 1:23:07um like taking input from a form and send that to open AI to do some cool [ __ ] and then send that in an email or
580. 1:23:15post it to a slack channel so I'd say zapier for automations that's what I use there's a bunch of them out there zapier for automations
581. 1:23:22chat GPT for Words mid Journey or stable diffusion or adobe Firefly for images and that's kind of it like that's all
582. 1:23:31I'm playing with right now if you want to geek Out On Tools that's why I have this here because I can't keep up with
583. 1:23:36them anymore and I stop trying I said [ __ ] it I'm done I can't because it's literally like five tools a day come out that every

590. 1:24:31is just a series of prompts that you can copy and paste that are like you know act like an attorney act like a
591. 1:24:38psychologist act like a an agriculture specialist right act like a farmer act like a you know someone who understands
592. 1:24:45soil nutrients engineering I don't whatever the [ __ ] it is and you can you can just go find one that's there but you can also just learn
593. 1:24:53the basic concept of when you tell chat GPT to act like a very specific persona it gets better and it gets better at that thing
594. 1:25:05um so what I would say is don't worry so much about chat GPT like like what do I do with the tool I would start more with
595. 1:25:13what are you trying to do in agriculture what are you trying to do with legal and psychology start with a specific problem
596. 1:25:21and then go into chat gbt and say I want you to act like a lawyer that can help with this sort of problem and then describe your problem
597. 1:25:28and say you know do you understand you know what I'm trying to achieve and is this something you can help me with like
598. 1:25:35you're going to literally talk to it like it's a person it's going to be weird and then it'll say yes and it'll
599. 1:25:40probably give you some advice and then start having a dialogue with it so basically set it up as the expert and
600. 1:25:46then start interacting with it to solve a specific problem in those three areas that you talk about am I late for the class Professor

605. 1:26:33in in so I met chat GPT and this this whole sort of list here is my chat history and um openai is using our interactions
606. 1:26:43with it like why we get to use these tools for free is they're using our interactions to fine-tune their models to make their models better
607. 1:26:50if you want to use this for work you can go into your settings and there's a data controls section and you can turn off chat history and
608. 1:27:01training and then it won't keep your chat history and it won't allow open AI to train on your data so that's one step more secure
609. 1:27:09open AI is also coming out with a business version of chat GPT that'll have higher security and privacy
610. 1:27:16the the warning I'll give you that if you turn this off you will lose all of your chat history which is why I haven't
611. 1:27:23turned it off so there's an export data function here so if you're going to turn this off and and make this safer to use at work
612. 1:27:31make sure you export your current chat history first so that you have it so that's there but or start to use the
613. 1:27:39back end so you can also go to if you've got a platform.openai.com playground this is the API backend for chat gbt where
614. 1:27:52you've got different modes that you can play in you've got different models you can use you can change the the temperature which
615. 1:27:59is like the creativeness of chat so um so this is a step more secure than chat GPT but hope that helps for the chat EVT thing
616. 1:28:11turn off your training and chat history and then it will be a little bit less uh whatever you call it janky from a security standpoint

703. 1:42:14tool and it'll say was this generated by chat GPT and it can figure it out but there are other tools that you can take
704. 1:42:21that piece of writing pop it in that tool and have it rewrite it so that it can't be discovered by those tools so
705. 1:42:26it's just a silly war going back and forth right now who's going to check that AI is doing accurate work uh the people creating it
706. 1:42:38need to check that so there's a there's a funny example I don't know if it's funny the people in the case but a
707. 1:42:44lawyer two weeks ago wrote a legal brief and turned it in in court and the judge um check the sources in the legal brief and
708. 1:42:55they were all fake they were all made up so so that lawyer got in trouble and that lawyer should get in trouble right it's on
709. 1:43:02it's on the lawyer to do the checking so if you're doing something that has to be accurate check it also use something
710. 1:43:10like bing.com I don't know why this is waiting to start come on mid-journey do your thing um use something like bing.com that's
711. 1:43:19connected to the internet and it will provide citations and check the citations and see if they're actually right
712. 1:43:25so it's it's on you now to your point Glenn in the future there's going to be whole Industries built around validating
713. 1:43:34um content that's generated out of these generative AI systems to make sure that they're accurate it's just not there right now

723. 1:45:13it's great at keywords give it a bunch of give it give it a bunch of content and have it pull out keywords for you or or um
724. 1:45:25yeah have it write you you know keyword heavy blog posts and give it a set of keywords and have it write content that
725. 1:45:33dynamically incorporates those and dynamically incorporates hyperlinks of your content within it um it's great at that stuff any of that
726. 1:45:40kind of stuff it's really good what does storyvine do so storybine is my company um it's a it's a video storytelling
727. 1:45:47platform so we've got uh an app that guides an end user through telling a story so we do a lot of work in
728. 1:45:53healthcare and Pharma for example so if Pfizer wants one of their patients to talk about what it's like to have a
729. 1:45:59certain disease our app will actually guide the patient step by step through the storytelling process so introduce
730. 1:46:05yourself here you know take a picture of yourself what did it feel like when you were diagnosed how have you been
731. 1:46:10treating it how are you you know what's going on today what are your hopes and dreams for the future so they answer
732. 1:46:15questions in our app that goes up to the cloud five minutes later you got a fully edited video and that's the that's we call it auto
733. 1:46:22magic editing um and so that's what the platform does we've been around for 11 years like I said we're mostly in healthcare and Pharma um
734. 1:46:32I'm looking at all this AI stuff and there's a lot of what we do that the value of it goes to zero like the
735. 1:46:38automation everything's going to be automated in a year or two but there's some things that we do like authentic human storytelling we're
736. 1:46:47really good at that I think the value of that goes up in a world where there's infinite content generation right so um so we'll see
737. 1:46:54but but that's what I'm in the middle of trying to figure out is where's our value proposition what goes up what goes down how do we survive
738. 1:47:01because we're going to be slapped up side the set upside our head um just like everyone else is I'm just trying to be on top of it

740. 1:47:25mid-journey does stable diffusion does Adobe Firefly does and Dolly does gpt4 is multi-modal but it's not live yet and what that means is

743. 1:47:56someone not in Tech yes so Risa this is a really interesting thing there's kind of two flavors of do you want to learn about AI one is
744. 1:48:05doing about do you want to learn about AI to go into machine learning and sort of the science of AI and the other one
745. 1:48:11is do you want to learn about AI to use generative AI as a tool in business that's a very different thing right so
746. 1:48:19um I'm not a machine learning person I'm not a scientist I have a degree in acting I but I'm an entrepreneur
747. 1:48:27and I get really passionate about new technologies that I think can transform how we do business that's sort of what
748. 1:48:34I've spent my career doing and so I think this is a big one and so I'm not interested in learning I I like I only want to know enough
749. 1:48:43about how the tools work so I can understand what they are and what their limitations are and what their
750. 1:48:48possibility is beyond that I don't give a [ __ ] I'll let the Uber Geeks and the engineers do all that I'm interested in
751. 1:48:55the other side of this so I haven't looked at the Google's generative AI course I assume it's more on the latter
752. 1:49:00side of this inflection point that's about how do you use these tools in business so if it's that I would say it's very worth
753. 1:49:08learning it it'll teach you some of the basics it'll get you up to speed I'd say more important than taking what you think is the perfect

759. 1:49:57herself out there so I'd say just get curious learn learn get hungry play tell people about it do projects for people
760. 1:50:06tell other people how to do it and good things will happen I I like that I'm confident of I think there's a solid
761. 1:50:13two-year period where where if you're decent at this stuff and sort of put yourself out there as being decent at
762. 1:50:20this stuff not like in a braggy way but like in a I'm excited about this way good things will happen Google is so five minutes ago Google's
763. 1:50:29struggling to catch up right now um machine learning is going to be the problem Singularity will happen when
764. 1:50:36they learn how to code it already knows how to code Singularity might happen when it learns how to autonomously code and that's what
765. 1:50:44Auto GPT is [Music] um it's not aware of what it does right now so so I think we have I think we have some time until the singularity my
766. 1:50:54guess is five-ish years that's sort of Ray Kurzweil say in 2029 some big uh AI scientists are saying 2030 so that's that's probably about
767. 1:51:04right what are the biggest moats in the AI space so so what you're talking about there so moats are like what what are
768. 1:51:11competitive advantages there's a Google engineer that just wrote a piece it was an internal memo that was
769. 1:51:18apparently leaked I you know I don't I don't know if it was leaked or if it was leaked um but it basically talks about the fact that
770. 1:51:28Google and openai don't have emote the title of the piece was we have no moat and what what they're basically saying
771. 1:51:36is that for a hundred dollars the developer Community can train one of these open source large language models
772. 1:51:42to essentially be as good as what it took Google like a year and 10 million dollars to train um and so that there's no what he's
773. 1:51:50saying is there's no competitive competitive Advantage for us spending all this money to make these core models
774. 1:51:56because the open source Community is just knocking this [ __ ] off like that um I think it's one of the big concerns of
775. 1:52:04investors right now is that almost any company you're going to be able to replicate it essentially easily overnight without a lot of money
776. 1:52:13um I think it's going to be a universal problem so so I don't know I for me I think I think where companies may have some
777. 1:52:23competitive Advantage is with unique data sets so there was a you've heard of Bloomberg the financial services they
778. 1:52:31just created a thing called Bloomberg GPT which is a GPT tool sitting on top of all of their proprietary data which they charge up
779. 1:52:40shitload of money for right but if you want access to that data you'll pay for that and and that's something that they
780. 1:52:49can they can control so that might be it but I don't know I think it's honestly a really big it's it's a big challenge um
781. 1:53:00I think being flexible I think moving fast I think experimenting a lot not getting too lucked into a single
782. 1:53:07um model because things are going to change really quickly so we had a better answer for that
783. 1:53:22um all right so many good questions here they're great questions here all right thoughts about Runway so Runway is Runway ml they've got two
784. 1:53:35video creation tools one called gen one one called Gen 2 gen 1 allows you to upload a three or four second video clip
785. 1:53:45of like a person walking and then you can describe make it a claymation animation and it'll be the person
786. 1:53:51walking but they'll be in claymation that's gen one gen two is you just describe a video woman in a field with the breeze blowing
787. 1:54:00there's a woman in the field with a breeze blowing um they've got a head start they're you know they're they're
788. 1:54:09well their tools are remarkable the videos have a lot of artifacts in them like so I think a year from now they're
789. 1:54:15going to be remarkable when you can do a 30 second video clip um that doesn't have artifacts in it and
790. 1:54:21it looks pretty realistic they're going to be amazing so I I think they're they're definitely ones to watch they're
791. 1:54:27they're definitely they've got the the lead in the video space right now for for generating generative AI for video
792. 1:54:35um I think there's gonna be a lot of competitors in the space and I think it's going to start moving quite quickly

802. 1:56:31generative AI layer on top of it to basically just deal with all the complexity so the interface of these
803. 1:56:37incredibly powerful tools just becomes language just becomes your ability to ask for what you want all right I gotta go soon

807. 1:57:17with theirs they will come out with one because they've got the hardware what's cool about Apple if you if you pay close
808. 1:57:23attention to their Vision Pro announcement two two things that I thought were baller moves they didn't use the word
809. 1:57:32metaverse once and they didn't use the phrase AI once but they used machine learning and they used vectors and they used
810. 1:57:42um inferences they used a lot of the terminology of machine learning and what they were basically saying is they can
811. 1:57:49do all that [ __ ] on chip now why is that important because right now a lot of the AI stuff that we're playing
812. 1:57:58with we're sending our data to open AI which they're using it for training and and depending on how secure or not that
813. 1:58:06data is that's risky if you're actually doing all of the AI processing locally on the chip on your phone on your
814. 1:58:14goggles on your watch whatever it might be um their ability to do high privacy generative Ai and autonomous agents
815. 1:58:26they're gonna like I I don't know that anyone's going to be able to compete with them because they're the ones that
816. 1:58:31have always taken this privacy [ __ ] really seriously and so the fact that they've got you know privacy chips on
817. 1:58:37the devices and they're going to be able to do a lot of the machine learning processing locally means they're going
818. 1:58:45to be I think they're gonna they're gonna show up with a bang but I agree with you I think I think these
819. 1:58:51tools are going to be incorporated into everything like it's going to be you know how the internet is in everything
820. 1:58:56right now like that's what's going to happen with this these generative AI tools they're just going to be part of
821. 1:59:01the fabric of how we interact with machines moving forward Google made one of the biggest blunders since the new Coke yeah
822. 1:59:09Google [ __ ] invented the Transformer and then didn't jump on it and they let other people do it and open AI took the
823. 1:59:17[ __ ] seriously and they did GPT one gpt2 gpt3 which started to get a bunch of press and people were like holy [ __ ]
824. 1:59:25this gpt3 thing is really good and then another year went by and nothing from anyone and then openai puts out chat gbt and it
825. 1:59:34goes from zero to 100 million users in six weeks so it wasn't like Google didn't have fair warning of what was coming
826. 1:59:43but what they couldn't anticipate and what Microsoft didn't think would happen and even open AI didn't think would
827. 1:59:49happen nobody thought chat CPT would be a hit it was just a shitty little piece of software they wrote in two weeks to put
828. 1:59:56out as a as a an example of what you can do with this in conjunction with the Microsoft announcement and it went to
829. 2:00:04100 million people in six weeks caught everyone off guard and now Google's on their heels going oh [ __ ] we gotta catch up
830. 2:00:13so yes it is a big blunder but they're big money with a lot of a big company with a lot of [ __ ] money so you know
831. 2:00:21and they got a bunch of smart people there so I I would not um count them out just yet but they are definitely on their heels
832. 2:00:29the company makes chat GPT is open AI chat GPT doesn't focus on Graphics uh but but the dolly can yeah that's
833. 2:00:36correct there's a there's right now all of these tools are very disparate little it's like we're we're in the spit and
834. 2:00:42duct tape phase of this part of the industry right now how would I use AI for getting movie investors um
835. 2:00:51[ __ ] I've written seven screenplays and I didn't successfully get any movie investors so so I'm not the right person
836. 2:00:58to ask for that I mean that's such a business of relationships like what what I would probably do because I would have chat GPT give me
837. 2:01:08strategies on how to navigate Hollywood politics right because it's part of it is just grinding out you know
838. 2:01:19sending out inquiry letters and pitches and and doing all that [ __ ] but a lot of it is who you know and how you know them
839. 2:01:26and how you get connected so I would probably if I were getting back in that game I I would take the the game of Show Business a [ __ ] ton
840. 2:01:37more seriously and I'd have chat gbt help me with that old man gonna get old all right I'm gonna do a few more

846. 2:02:31class hadn't used chat GPT some of them didn't even know what it was so yeah that's just we're that's just a
847. 2:02:39blip I would just ignore that [ __ ] for for now best way to access unrestricted chat GPT go to the open source community so
848. 2:02:50um there's a thing called GPT for all which I think you install it locally on your machine and then it gives you
849. 2:02:56access to a bunch of Open Source large language models most of them don't have any of the safety guard rails on them so that's how
850. 2:03:05you can do it um I don't have anyone to suggest because like a new one comes out every other day and I can't keep up with it so
851. 2:03:12I said [ __ ] it so I'm gonna let oh like like if you want to geek out on open source models just go to Reddit open
852. 2:03:19source llm and just get into those communities there's all sorts of projects there that are listen they're
853. 2:03:24doing remarkable [ __ ] things but I can't keep up with it so I'm I'm not playing over there MIT is offering an
854. 2:03:30online course teaching AI Basics is it worth taking um again I would just understand which side of the AI fence you're on if you
855. 2:03:38want to go into the machine learning and science side of the thing that's probably what MIT is teaching
856. 2:03:44if it's something like Wharton School of Business teaching it is probably more on how you use the AI rather than building
857. 2:03:51it so just figure out which side of the fence you're on and then find courses that that work with that and again I don't
858. 2:03:58think like if you just want sort of the Baseline education those courses might be good but anything sort of trying to
859. 2:04:04keep up with what's happening with these tools just start playing with them just start using them is there any way for chat to remember my
860. 2:04:12preferences like giving me a glossary of terms not right now and and that's something that I think I saw interface I think someone
861. 2:04:22leaked some interface from open AI that they're going to have a profile that you'll be able to put in you know a
862. 2:04:28bunch of [ __ ] about yourself that I can always answer in context of who you are um so I think that's coming it's not
863. 2:04:35there right now and it's a pain and it's a pain in the ass that it's not there um I never liked Google back in the 90s
864. 2:04:44I preferred Alta Vista and sq's yeah Alta Vista was baller and then and then Google did their thing and they they
865. 2:04:51figured out how to do it a little bit better than everyone else and then they got to like 92 94 market share and then they got sloppy
