327. 1:13:04yeah, how well it actually works? That all comes down to the quality and the amount of those ingredients. Okay. So,
328. 1:13:08what are those key things? What makes one paint actually worth, you know, the extra money? Where do we start? Let's
329. 1:13:14start with pigments. Pigments give paint its color, obviously, but also its hide. That's its power to cover up whatever
330. 1:13:21color was there before. And the absolute king of hide is titanium dioxide. Uh TO22. It's just brilliant at scattering
331. 1:13:29light. Gives you that bright white base and fantastic coverage. Ah okay. So the cheaper paints they skimp on that. Is that the main
332. 1:13:39trick? That's a huge part of it. Yeah. Cheaper paints will often swap out that pricey TIO2 tutors for things called
333. 1:13:45extender pigments or fillers. think um ground up limestone, things like that. It bulks up the paint, but it doesn't
334. 1:13:52really cover it. Makes it more transparent, kind of watery. Right. That's why sometimes you buy cheap paint
335. 1:13:57and it feels like well, like you're painting with slightly colored water. End up doing three, four, sometimes even
