30. 7:17an interesting thing today I thought they put out some new sunno videos and they basically said look when
31. 7:26creative people use these tools they make better [ __ ] and they put out some good stuff um I think they're having to I I I I
32. 7:42think it behooves them thank you very much for that gift I love that one um I think it behooves them to court
33. 7:48Hollywood and to court the creative Community um and it looks like they are I also I also had a uh I had a thought today that um
34. 8:01the way they rolled out GPT 4 if you remember they rolled out chat gp4 and then they had a separate
35. 8:16Mode called inter internet chat with Bing or whatever it was the Bing chat so it it connected to the internet was a
36. 8:24separate mode then they had a separate Mode called code interpreter then I had a separate mode Mode called Dolly 3
37. 8:30remember you had to switch between all those different modes I have a sneaking suspicion that Sora and this voice thing that they're
38. 8:41about to you know that that they've been toying around with I have a feeling that all of these are separate modes of chat
39. 8:49GPT 5 that's my speculation that's my chat TMZ speculation what was that Danielle I didn't see it right as I went to read
40. 8:59what was was pinned I lost it oh Danielle that's your image up nice yeah I went back to some some oldies but
41. 9:06goodies I mean it's not that old it's probably a month or two old but but yeah that's a good one Be not Afraid making images for the

54. 11:12just sharing like what's going on what what's something you've done so I'm going to share the uh the C gpts I made Leah's going to
55. 11:23share some work she's been doing in mid journey and Eric is going to share an app that he's built um so we're going to
56. 11:29do those three things and then we're going to open it up to the community to do AI confessionals so tomorrow's uh

67. 13:05videos tonight um because it's what what you get to witness with what open AI put out today about Sora is when when you have a tool like
68. 13:21Sora lots of people can do well no one can do [ __ ] yet CU it's not released yet but when it's released
69. 13:29people will be able to do all sorts of cool little video clips and things like that but when you put it in the hand of
70. 13:35storytellers right that understand the language of Cinema and writing they do cool stuff and so what open AI released today was
71. 13:45hey we gave Sora to some select storytellers and look at the [ __ ] that they've built and it's it's pretty good
72. 13:52so we'll go look at that we will go look at that yeah there's a lot of fake ads for Sora that's another thing if you see ads
73. 14:01for Sora it's like good news you can you can make Sora videos on your phone now no you can't those are scams they're selling
74. 14:12you some shitty stable video diffusion [ __ ] that they're just you know calling Sora but it's not Sora it's
75. 14:23annoying it's annoying it's annoying I've been hearing about self-improve proving AI agents are you talking about that at
76. 14:32all um a little bit I mean they're not really they're not really out yet Devon Devon has been announced but not out
77. 14:41widely um and I wouldn't call Devon self improving it's sort well it's self-improving in that it plans and then
78. 14:53executes against that plan and when it creates code that's buggy it debugs it and fixes it but that's not really
79. 14:59self-improving the agent itself um I think I think I think we're going to see like just like 2023 was like lots
80. 15:09of different tools dropping and lots of different large language models dropping um 2024 I think we'll start to see lots
81. 15:17of different kinds of Agents dropping um so I think we'll be talking about it a lot more on here there's just right now
82. 15:24there's some open- Source stuff that's okay um and there's a handful of announced things that are okay um but
83. 15:32nothing really Earth shattering right now so but we'll get there we'll get there this year finally finally I got
84. 15:40co-pilot wait I got to Pilot chat jp4 for the global coms Department of my ginormous Inc awesome so so Cav runo's
85. 15:51been in here I think for if not a year close to it right and when she first started started out in here she was just like I'm the
86. 16:02only one that knows anything about AI in my company and we're just like keep talking about it keep talking about
87. 16:08she's like they think I'm a weirdo just keep talking about it keep talking about it and then you know she did some
88. 16:15lunches and then she got invited to you know demo for some people and wow now you did it for the whole comms Department that's awesome
89. 16:23congratulations that's that's that's fantastic yeah I'm curious um an says tell us everything that's that's where
90. 16:31that's where I am like what what was their response I assume there were a few Kevin McAllister moments so if you haven't had your Kevin
91. 16:39mallister moment yet that's that's what we call it in here when when you have one of these when when AI is it just rocks your
92. 16:47world and you're like it can do that oh my God I don't know it could do that I thought it was just like Google
93. 16:56is it not just like Google I didn't really understand what it was it can do that well well that makes me a little concerned about my
94. 17:10[Laughter] employment and I don't mean to poke fun because CU it's pretty [ __ ] scary but the antidote I don't know if it's an
95. 17:25antidote a thing that makes it a little less scary is is actually using the tools playing with them understanding
96. 17:32how they work understanding what their limitations are uh steo Kyle needs to look at the image that you're teasing me about where

110. 20:25stomach then you're not going to dig it here so you don't have to join in fact if if these values don't resonate with
111. 20:33you you know don't join right it's not this this isn't going to be for you but this is who the people are in this

117. 21:13are guilds so creative business Tech and social impact and then there are clubs and we have our own club so if you if
118. 21:22you want to like I don't know Jam while we're playing in here uh during these lives you can share things in the uh in the

122. 22:13filmmakers Sora is at its most powerful when you're not replicating the old but bringing to to life new and impossible
123. 22:21ideas we would have otherwise never had the opportunity to see which is good it's a good first quote because right
124. 22:29this is a quote that basically says H yeah we're not just trying to replace people with with this tool not not for nothing uh they're
125. 22:42already canceling Studio Projects so so I think the writing's on the wall but I think Hollywood will be a big user
126. 22:51of this what's what's amazing about all of these Technologies is that they're democratizing force and creativity um
127. 23:00but you still need to be able to tell stories and so what the what these are is just a whole series of videos as
128. 23:06great as Sora is at generating things that appear real what excites us is its ability to make things that are totally
129. 23:12surreal from a group called shy kids I think this this for me this was the best video I like this video a lot um just
130. 23:20because the storytelling is really good but um so here's here's a video so this is all Sora um and done by a storyteller [Music]
131. 23:42well they say everyone has something unique about something that sets them apart just in my case you know it's quite obvious what that thing
132. 23:51is I am literally filled with hot air yeah living like this has its challenges uh windy days for one are particularly
133. 24:01Troublesome or there was the one time my girlfriend insisted i' go to the cactus store to get my Uncle Jerry a wedding [Music]
134. 24:08present what do I love most about my predicament the perspective it gives me you know I get to see the world
135. 24:14differently I float above the mundane and the ordinary I see things a different way from everyone else yeah I feel like it's because of that
136. 24:22perspective I'm reminded every day that life is fragile we're all just a pin prick away from deflation
137. 24:29so I try to live life with a lightness a buoyancy I got a lot of ideas keeping this thing full with any luck I'll find
138. 24:40a way to share them with everyone else nice right cute this one is Paul Paul

140. 25:07time I felt Unchained as a filmmaker not restricted by time money other people's permission I can ideate and experiment
141. 25:16in bold and exciting ways for me that's the thing that I'm most excited about this I was talking with Andrew the guy
142. 25:22that I'm working on the musical with um was exactly that that what AI does is allows you to explore ideas like quickly and instantly a lot
143. 25:35of the things like the dude walking with the balloon head like that's some fairly sophisticated um you know rotoscoping or
144. 25:44compositing that you would have to do if you were to do that traditionally and or traditionally digitally in in the olden timey days in
145. 25:542023 um you know and and now you can just you know call it up and put these things together so let's see what he put

153. 28:01excited about anything that's just a press release I would say this is not quite a press release right this is this
154. 28:06is artists actually playing with the tool and building thing so it's we we still don't have it in our hands here's
155. 28:13the thing about Sora Sora is not going to be included I'm guessing it's not going to be included in your $20 a month
156. 28:21thing this isn't a press release well it's a blog post it's it's not really a press release it's just like some
157. 28:28creatives have used our tool and here's the [ __ ] they built so it's it's just some more I what I what I would call this is you know this
158. 28:36is storytellers that have been given the tool as opposed to things built within you know the open AI ecosystem so I think that's a that's
159. 28:49a it's not a big deal but it's a it's a Rel it's it's a relatively step forward from you know launching it but my my strong
160. 28:59suspicion is that um that Sora is is either going to be a standalone product that it's got its own subscription fee
161. 29:08or it's going to be um released to to very limited um audiences like filmmakers you know who who have to
162. 29:16apply for it and things like that but we'll see we don't know everything's chat TMZ at this point um this one is Nick
163. 29:26clov Emy nomin ated creative agency from La specializing in brand storytelling motion and title design and generative
164. 29:34AI workflows who's using Sora to visualize Concepts and rapidly iterate on Creative for brand Partners I'm one of the creatives that
165. 29:44thinks in motion so when I'm in Sora it really feels like I can bring any idea to life the other thing uh Kieran asked
166. 29:53if we can go check out um globe. engineer which we can do that and then I I also um LTX Studio has got some new
167. 30:03posts out they're kind of ramping up their press releases paint but we can go look at what they're putting out there
168. 30:11cuz LTX Studio look looks like it's going to be quite remarkable and I would assume that at some point they'll be
169. 30:19able to incorporate Sora into LTX studio so let's see what old Nick did here this he's a brand guy [Music] [Laughter] [Music]

172. 31:10activist wonder what that means Sora represents a real turning point for me as an artist whose scope has always been
173. 31:17limited by imagination being at odds with the means that's that's what that's kind of what Kelly uh Bosch was saying
174. 31:26about her work that she's always had these Visions in her head and has never been able to get them out you know
175. 31:31either limited by resources or just you know technological limitations being able to build and iterate on cinematic
176. 31:38visuals that int this intuitively has opened up categorically new Lanes of artistry for me I truly cannot wait to
177. 31:48see what other forms of Storytelling will come into form with the future with these tools that's the thing I think I'm
178. 31:55most excited about is that when you democratize high quality everything right it's not just storytelling tools these are
179. 32:09storytelling tools but when you democratize the ability to tell stories with music and with sound effects and
180. 32:16with visuals and with writing and with coding and with data analysis all all of the skills that have historically been restricted to
181. 32:29Specialty right you know specialty practitioners when all of that gets democratized Le let's say for any given
182. 32:40discipline there's 5% of the people in the world can do that discipline and so those 5% of people that do that
183. 32:49discipline they get a certain vocabulary and they all sort of work within that vocabulary and then if you democratize
184. 32:56that from 5 % out to 80% of people can now do you know at some level of competence that discipline they're going
185. 33:05to bring they're they're going to break the rules because they don't know the rules and so you're going to just have
186. 33:11like 75% of people just doing [ __ ] most of it's going to suck most of it's just going to be like an abject
187. 33:19disaster and then there's going to be in that 75% another 5% that's just [ __ ] brilliant and it it transforms things
188. 33:28because they didn't know what the what the conventions were that that I find tremendously exciting so let's see what this artist

191. 34:30telling yeah like this idea of being able to to express any idea we have in any
192. 34:45form is just [ __ ] mindblowing right like like you could come home and you could write a letter to the principal
193. 34:53you could you could write a poem or you could write a song and or you could make a movie I I mean we're
194. 35:02just we're so we we're just on the verge of this remarkable Renaissance this this AI fueled Renaissance that is just ah so [ __ ]
195. 35:17exciting what does the official Sora app icon look like I have chat gb4 Mr Studio there is no official Sora app icon there
196. 35:27is no Sora app any app that says it's a SORA app right now is fraud so just I wouldn't be watching movies right now if
197. 35:38Sora was out we would be making movies so so as Pate says we're just looking at a press release right
198. 35:47now all right who's this artist this is Josephine Miller creative director co-founder and creative director of the
199. 35:53london-based AAR Studio specializing in 3D visual augmented reality in digital fashion so she should have some some
200. 36:02visuals that'll be pretty kill her Sora has opened up the potential to bring life to ideas I've had for years that's
201. 36:08what Kelly Bosch said ideas that were previously technically impossible amazing the ability to rapidly conceptualize at such a high
202. 36:18level of quality is not only challenging my creative process but also helping me evolve in storytelling it's enabling me
203. 36:26to translate my imagin with fewer technical constraints that's it that's so think here's the promise of this [ __ ]
204. 36:37people you've got imaginations we've all got imaginations you have some idea of like a vision for oh you know what would be
205. 36:47cool and for all of our Lives you know what would be cool that question is smashed down by reality and the fact
206. 36:56that you didn't get that art d degree and the fact that you didn't go to film school and the fact that you had to get
207. 37:01a job and the fact that you worked at a factory for all that [ __ ] time right the fact that people told you
208. 37:08you weren't talented and you believed them but you still have those [ __ ] ideas right imagine a World Imagine a
209. 37:23world where those ideas that imagination can can be set free that's what we're entering what happens to the Next Generation whose
210. 37:33creativity won't be killed in childhood that's Source Camp that's it Source Camp's the one because I was
211. 37:41thinking I was thinking about this that um I I was thinking about this very logically that that one of the things
212. 37:48that generative AI does for me is it makes me feel younger creatively and I sort of went back to my early 20s I'm like it's
213. 37:58like it's like I'm as creative as I was in my early 20s and then I was on a call with with her with Kelly and she said
214. 38:07she said I have the energy and enthusiasm of like the seven or eight-year-old me I have like seven or eight-year-old Creative
215. 38:14Energy and I and like what hit me was it wasn't me in my 20s that I'm feeling it's like me it's it's like imagine the
216. 38:22you before you got beat down that's what we get to experiment with that's what we get to to to unveil to the world with these
217. 38:34tools that's why this is so exciting this isn't about efficiency and and making automating job tasks better
218. 38:44that what what that's going to do what the who uh who was it described it um he described it uh was it was it Elon Musk
219. 38:54described it as the automation of automation that that what these tools are doing is they're going to automate all of the
220. 39:01automations that have already been created and then what that does is free us up to do the [ __ ] we want to
221. 39:11do already covered that one all right let's see Josephine Josephine Miller's piece oh nice yeah that's that's that's a fashion someone

226. 40:09combinations in my head now I have a much easier way of prototyping the ideas before I fully build out the 3D
227. 40:18characters and place them in spatial computers Don sites sora's weirdness at it as its greatest strength it's it's
228. 40:27not bound by traditional laws of physics or conventions of thought yeah technical hurdles to Pure creativity unlocking a world of instant
229. 40:39visual visualization and rapid prototyping I feel like this allows me to focus more of my time and energy in
230. 40:44the right places and the emotional impact I would like my characters to have that's great the the flamingo

243. 42:50experimenting with this with her um her glaze she made a GPT to help people make glazes for for Ceramics and pottery the
244. 42:59idea of being able to create stuff using these tools and then realize them in the real world that's really
245. 43:07exciting to me my thoughts drifted toward exploring the realm of photogrametry and its potential applications for sculpture the prospect
246. 43:16of transforming video into 3D models intrigued me as it hinted at propelling the AI system Beyond its initial scope
247. 43:24well that's that's actually really interesting because because the way Sora works it is effectively understanding the physics of
248. 43:35a 3D world even though it's generating 2D video it understands the objects in its scenes and it understands the
249. 43:43physics of them so I I think Sora is just a very small um demonstration of what could be coming with that

270. 47:15perspective they're pretty but they're just they're just diffusion they're just random noise um images that get Den
271. 47:24noised over time and there's not there's not a whole lot of logic in there checking consistency and things like
272. 47:29that Sora is doing really interesting stuff with um maintaining consistency over time um but I don't I don't know

372. 1:05:07choices you can try to find an AA meeting and four or five people to help you produce your vision of your play to have in between AA

374. 1:05:35turn it into a [ __ ] independent film and maybe you act in it but you like do higher production value than was

398. 1:10:14year where we're going to start to get hints of what the new tools are going to be and what the new tools are going to

445. 1:19:37were and he learned how to fine-tune them and he learned what checkpoints were and all that sort of stuff and he figured out how to train
446. 1:19:45up a stable diffusion Laura to do text correctly when stable diffusion can't do text so he got stable diffusion to do do
447. 1:19:55what Del does and what ideogram does and so he took that and he took the recipes that he liked put those in an interface
448. 1:20:04stuck it on the web and that's what that is so that's that's a think of that as a pre-prom site sitting on top of
449. 1:20:14custom luras that which are basically just the models that that it uses to make the typography well sitting on top of stable
450. 1:20:23diffusion so that's why to play with things like stable diffusion and with open source is that you can come up with
451. 1:20:30ideas and stumble on stuff that no one else has figured out yet and then put it out in the world and if you get there
