7:12 didn't miss anything. I was I was
7:13 literally just like looking at the
7:15 screen and occasionally someone would
7:17 ask a question. And Vicki was the first
7:19 one in V. So Vicki gets the gold star.

9:54 fascinating. This is the state of where
9:56 we are with AI right now. So so a local
10:00 friend here in Denver tried to get me a
10:03 job I don't know a month or so ago and
10:05 if I didn't respond quick enough someone
10:07 else got it. And so like two weeks ago
10:09 he's like hey I got this I got this
10:11 other video job. Do you want to do it? I
10:12 was like I don't know. I like I don't
10:14 know if I don't know if the video's I
10:16 don't know if the text's good enough
10:17 right now to get like you know to get
10:19 actually paid for this [ __ ] And so they
10:22 sent me over the script and
10:24 unfortunately it's a comedy script. It's
10:26 only a minute and a half long but it's a
10:28 comedy script and then on top of that
10:30 it's based on two real people which I
10:33 had to turn into AI people
10:36 and then they interact with a cartoon
10:38 character.
10:39 So, so,
10:42 so I sort of reluctantly took the job
10:45 and then, you know, I said, "Let me see
10:46 if I can even get it to the point where
10:48 you think it's decent enough." And when
10:49 I talked to the woman who hired me,
10:52 she's like, "I've already had three
10:54 people try this and they've all failed
10:55 miserably." I'm like, "Oh, god." Like,
10:58 the the expectations are already high.
11:00 So, anyway, so I've been working on
11:01 that. So, the time that I normally spend
11:04 on X preparing for this has been eaten
11:07 by that. So anyway,
11:11 um, if anyone has any questions about

18:07 relatable as possible. And look, look at

18:15 really hard for me to be bitter when

18:20 and booking vacations to European
18:22 countries while they go through

18:31 Google. And they're like, you can you
18:33 can get some you can get some stuff from
18:35 Door Dash.
18:42 Just think about all the people that
18:43 don't know about AI or scared of it.
18:46 It's not aimed at us. Yeah, you know,
18:48 Vicki, you're right. The the other thing
18:50 that kind of blows me away about this is
18:52 that
18:54 the thing I continue to see and I like
18:59 I wonder how we're going to break out of
19:00 this or if we're going to break out of
19:02 this is that every one of these major
19:04 companies is just copying one another,
19:07 right? The Perplexity Comet came out and
19:10 then just every browser it's exactly the
19:13 same thing. It's a right-hand, you know,
19:17 uh, chat GPT Gemini bar to the right
19:21 that looks at your tabs and does stuff.
19:23 They're all doing exactly the same
19:25 thing.
19:29 But didn't this happen with search?
19:33 Um,
19:36 no. Because I mean
19:39 I mean I suppose it did a bit there.
19:41 There were a fair amount of search
19:42 engines but like you you Yahoo was a
19:45 directory right? Yahoo was not a search
19:47 engine initially. It was it was like an
19:50 organiz attempt to organize the internet
19:53 put it into a hierarchical hierarchical
19:56 you know framework. Um Alta Vista was
20:01 the first one to really crack web
20:04 crawling and have a good a good search
20:07 experience. And then it was really
20:10 shortlived. It was like 6 months and
20:11 then Google came out and it just it blew
20:13 everyone out of the water. My co-workers
20:16 are tired of me shooting down their
20:18 objections, too.
20:26 Oh, that's funny, Vicki. Um
20:32 I I don't know. Like I just
20:36 I I find it disappointing
20:40 I feel like they're all copying each
20:42 other's algorithms. They're copying each
20:44 other's interface. They're copying each
20:46 other's browsers.
20:48 They've all got some version of codecs,
20:50 some some, you know, command line
20:52 interface programming language like like
20:56 no like perplexity.
20:59 I I wouldn't consider Perplexity one of
21:01 the major companies, but at least they
21:03 did something different where they they
21:06 said, "What would it be like if you
21:08 truly combine a search engine with an
21:11 LLM?"
21:12 And it's doing something different. And
21:14 I I will actually give credit also to
21:17 Notebook LM, which is a Google product,
21:20 that that thing is a unique product in
21:24 the in the in the marketplace.
21:27 Um, but all the major companies, they're
21:29 all doing the exact same thing. And it's
21:31 like, how how the [ __ ] are we going to
21:32 innovate if all you guys are doing is
21:33 chasing each other's tails. Anyway,

21:38 second, though, because I I think every
21:40 industry does this to a certain extent
21:42 as it matures. I mean, you look at the
21:43 fast food chains, everyone does combo
21:46 meals, everyone has the drive-thru,

21:50 pop outside. They're all they all have
21:52 their own version of their their
21:55 >> thing, but But that but that industry
21:58 but that industry is stabilized. We're
22:00 we're in a growing industry where where
22:02 the the the world of you know AI fast
22:06 food is being invented. We haven't
22:08 invented it yet. So copying each other
22:10 when you're in the middle of of an
22:12 invention phase that's that's what seems
22:15 bizarre to me. That's the thing I don't
22:17 get.

22:25 leader, right? Like once it's
22:27 stabilized, but we're not anywhere close
22:28 to that. There's another thing Ann

22:34 out and connecting with other
22:35 communities. and she said her experience
22:37 right now is a lot of other communities
22:38 are being really kind of dicky about not
22:41 wanting to collaborate with her
22:44 community that they're they're kind of
22:46 you know staying in their corner like
22:48 well this is my audience and I don't
22:49 want you infecting my audience or you
22:51 know scamming my audience. Um
22:57 there there is going to be so much
22:58 demand for things like communities and
23:01 education and things like that as as
23:03 this thing takes off and and it's not
23:07 going to stabilize. AI is not going to
23:09 stabilize for probably a decade.
23:12 Like like the amount of change that's
23:14 coming is just [ __ ] insane. Thank you

25:05 a lot like how you edit nano banana
25:08 images but this is with video. It's just
25:11 like I don't know. Everyone's copying
25:12 everyone else. I I find it annoying.

25:55 much different lanes. You you had
25:57 different kinds of browsers. You had
25:59 people, you know, someone invented Flash
26:03 or Adobe invented Flash or I think they
26:05 bought it. It was it was Macromedia
26:07 Flash and then I think they bought it.

26:11 you know they they were inventing all
26:13 sorts of extensions to HTML. They were
26:15 inventing all sorts of ways to display
26:17 images and compress images.
26:20 Um, and and anyone who was building
26:24 websites, we're also running down like
26:26 like as sanitized as web development is
26:29 today where we're all just using
26:30 templates and everything looks the
26:32 [ __ ] same. From like 95 to
26:36 probably 98 99 there was like four years
26:40 where just everyone was experimenting
26:42 and it was it was really alive feeling.
26:45 And this is just feeling like maybe it's
26:47 because things are moving so fast that
26:49 people are just trying to keep up. That
26:51 could be it.
26:53 Um Eric Trong um there is so much
26:57 opportunity to rock dead industries with
27:00 vibe coding. Yeah. Find the
27:03 what's that say? Find the find the stale
27:06 niche. Yeah. Oh, I totally agree. I
27:09 totally agree. What was I thinking about
27:11 today? Oh, there's a we we used this
27:14 site that's a uh for when we share our
27:17 videos for Story Vine, we were using
27:20 this site that you would upload videos
27:21 to it and it would organize them and put
27:23 them on cards and things like that. And
27:25 they went out of business and so we
27:27 can't update them anymore. They're still
27:29 functional, but probably not for long.
27:31 And we're like, "Oh, we've got to find a
27:33 thing to to, you know, do that." And I'm
27:35 like, well, I could probably just vibe
27:36 code something like that up in in a
27:40 couple of hours. Um, so yeah, you can
27:43 take any pain point in any industry
27:45 right now, vibe co code some solution to
27:48 it. Jim Ross did this in the in the
27:50 storage business where what he realized
27:53 was there was no really good self-
27:56 storage community um like a a a you
27:59 know, a site that allowed for like
28:01 advertising and things like that. and he
28:03 just [ __ ] vibecoded it up.
28:06 And he like he vibecoded it up and then
28:09 he showed it to two or three people in
28:11 the industry and two of the four people
28:13 he showed it to um said, "Can I
28:16 advertise on that thing?" He's got no
28:18 users and people are asking him because
28:21 it was so much better than what was
28:22 there. So, I totally agree with you on
28:24 that one. There's there's this massive
28:26 opportunity right now. I'll tell you
28:27 what, if you're here, if you're watching
28:30 this, if you're watching some old man on
28:32 [ __ ] Tik Tok and YouTube ramble about
28:34 AI,
28:37 you're a curious enough and and insane
28:40 enough to um you're way ahead of anyone
28:44 else right now. So going into markets or
28:49 industries that are still afraid of AI
28:51 that are sitting on the sidelines just
28:53 trying to pretend it's not happening.
28:56 If you go into those industries and
28:59 solve problems that they have,
29:00 especially if it's an industry that you
29:02 know where you kind of know what the
29:03 core problems are, you will occur to
29:06 people like a [ __ ] magician, right?
29:09 You'll be able to come in and go, "Oh,
29:10 no. I can make you a custom one of
29:12 those. Do you want your very own?" Um,
29:14 so, so yeah, I would strongly encourage
29:16 that. I think there's big opportunity
29:18 there.
