64. 13:33had the idea in my head of what I wanted to do of making that talking jacko'lantern vibecoded website. So I
65. 13:39asked Chad GPT for the lovable prompt. Took it into lovable and gave lovable the prompt. Lovable started coding.
66. 13:48lovable cloud took my 11 Labs key because I'm using 11 Labs for the voice of the pumpkin uh and open AI key. I I
67. 13:59registered a key through the developer platform 11labs to get the 11labs key and I registered a key with the
68. 14:06developer playground or platform.ai.com >> to get a chat GBT key to process the audio and process the text to speech.
69. 14:16So, cuz you've got to hear what he's saying and process it in the background and send it to 11 Labs and 11 Labs can
70. 14:23respond to it. And after that, everything else was just lovable. Um, it took it and it took a few tries to get
71. 14:29the microphone working. Uh, found out that cell phone microphone permissions are different, so I had to tweak that
72. 14:36and for a while it wasn't responding. Then it started speaking Russian randomly. Um, [laughter] so you know, it
73. 14:43was a trial and error period, but um, considering I started that at uh, noon and had it finished by one um, in time
74. 14:52for Tuker Gene, my kids had had a great time playing with it. So >> Oh, that's great. That's awesome. Um,

92. 17:30this channel, it was probably a year and a half, two years ago. And we were using Sununo. It might have been 2.5 or three.
93. 17:40And 3.5 was the first one where Sunno didn't sound like [ __ ] The the vocals on Suno always sounded autotuned. Every
94. 17:49they just had huge compression artifacts on them and they sounded really autotuned. Um, Udo was much better
95. 17:58sonically than Sunno was. And for a while they were kind of neck andneck. It was like it was like a toss up from
96. 18:05where I sat which one was better. And I kept leaning toward Udio or Udo as Vicky Baptist says it, but she won't admit
97. 18:14she's wrong. It's just the way it is. You know, she's she's got her base word of choice. I've got mine. They're
98. 18:21different words. and I know I'm right and she just hasn't accepted, you know, she hasn't surrendered to the truth yet.
99. 18:27Anyway, that's neither here nor there. Um, [laughter] but um, Udo was really good. And then what happened was Sunno just started
100. 18:41releasing feature after feature after feature after feature and models like model upgrades. They went to 3.5 which
101. 18:49was really good. Um, then they went to four, then they went to 4.5, then they went to 4.5 plus, now they're at five.
102. 18:57So, Sunno is just sort of blasting ahead. Um, I saw I saw a tweet last week or the week before, some guy was like like um,
103. 19:07Sunno's apparently hit 150 million in ARR, you know, annual recurring revenue. Um, and and he was like, you know, who's
104. 19:17actually paying for this? And people were chiming in like I am. It's really cool. I'm like bombarding the guy with with cool songs. Um,
105. 19:27you got the wrong person. [laughter] That's how I say it. Oh man. I just tried to download my Yu-Gi-Oh songs and I couldn't. I'd
106. 19:39forgotten I made them. So, no harm done. So, no. I think I think the Let me go Let me go confirm. I think the downloads
107. 19:46start Monday. It's like Monday until Wednesday. I guess they're giving people a little I guess they caught enough [ __ ]

113. 20:47they're going to put them in jail if they don't cooperate. Um, in in order to facilitate that partnership, we had to disable downloads.

127. 22:40terms of features, but the core models there there's I think there's already some decent um open- source ones out
128. 22:46there. Um, but these big companies, they're going to drive people to open source. They're going to they're going

134. 23:43um he did something for a client where the client was sort of rambling on about some product idea and then Gareth took the recording of
135. 23:54the conversation, threw it into Claude, I think Claude or Chat GBT, turned it into a a product requirement document,
136. 24:05threw that into lovable and then within an hour had delivered a fully functional version of the app that the client
137. 24:12described and then the client was obviously blown away and then they're going to try to go off and and raise
138. 24:19money on it and hire Gareth to do more [ __ ] which is cool. Um, but when he was talking about it, he he he was he was like, "Oh, I just I
139. 24:31just, you know, took the transcript and went here and did a product requirements document and then I just went over to
140. 24:37Lovable and an hour later I had a working app." And what struck me was um he's got a lot of expertise and a lot of experience with
141. 24:48you know gathering requirements create creating PRDS um creating applications delivering them for clients. So the stuff that he did in
142. 24:59between the AI pieces and like how he got lovable to get him to a functional app, you know, he's probably doing at a very
143. 25:08different level than someone just trying to figure it out, right? Like you know, whoever it was, Mimi, I think said, you
144. 25:13know, she went over to Yio and and was embarrassed by her songs. You go back and you look at your early stuff, it's
145. 25:19going to be crappy. So, as you get better at this stuff, we kind of forgot we we kind of forget what we've gotten good at.
146. 25:28And that gets that gets back to this idea of creating a daily practice around how you use AI. Um, and if you're if you're on this channel,
147. 25:42you're likely already doing that. If you're new here, welcome. My name is Kyle Shannon. if you're just trying to
148. 25:47figure this AI stuff out. Um, it's there's a lot right now. There's a lot there's there's a lot of tools.
149. 25:57There's a lot to learn. Um, and it's essentially impossible to catch up. Even if you've been doing it every day for
150. 26:06three years like I have, it's impossible to keep keep up. Um, and so what you can do is you can start to think less about
151. 26:14the tools and you can start to think about more about you. What do you want? What do you want to do? What are you passionate about?
152. 26:21And if you were going to improve yourself daily, if you were going to, you know, improve the quality of what
153. 26:27you do, what you can do, what what makes possible, how you do business, how you make money, how you serve other people,
154. 26:36and then you use AI to amplify all that. What does that practice look like? And that's something that we're going to be
155. 26:41exploring in the AI salon uh over the next uh I don't know foreseeable future because that seems like the future to
156. 26:49me. Um human centric use of AI not AIcentric you know people doing stuff. Human centric use of AI. Um so that I'm super excited about. Um

197. 34:25it throws that sreff into your thing. And then I'm going to put I'm going to put um uh terrifying.

204. 36:03used midjourney like this as a kind of as a as a uh inspiration tool, it's a lot of fun. All right,

208. 36:49they are. Going to be interesting to see who survives this. What I what I saw in the 90s when when companies were doing this to to digital
209. 37:00companies and the music the music industry went first there as well. They killed a lot of companies like Napster
210. 37:06got killed and then you know other people figured out how to navigate it legally. Um but it took him a long time
211. 37:12and it changed the music industry and so that's going to happen again. But the death throws of the big companies are going to be
212. 37:20um interesting to watch. These are cool. These are nice and spooky. Oh, here I can make these even bigger. These are good.
213. 37:36Again, the prompt here is just the word terrifying. And so, this shows you the dramatic difference that a mood board can make.
214. 37:45So, if you haven't played with mood boards, and they're really easy to make, also, you can just go find a bunch of pictures
215. 37:51in a style that you like and throw them in a mood board and then start making images that are inspired by all those images.
216. 38:04Kyle's been here since Al Gore invented the internet. [laughter] It's so true. Oh my god. I remember when
217. 38:15when he said that when that all came out, you're just like, "Oh god, [laughter] [snorts] not everyone likes Adobe
218. 38:25Firefly, but less risk." Yeah. So, ju in case you don't know, MidJourney by far is the best aesthetic
219. 38:33tool out there, but it's absolutely been trained on copywritten stuff. Adobe Firefly is probably one of the weaker
220. 38:40models. Although I know they've been improving it, but it's still a pretty weak model because [clears throat] they
221. 38:46haven't trained it on everything. They just trained it on like public domain stuff and publicly available stuff and
222. 38:51anything they had rights to in Adobe Stock. So, it's less problematic if you're doing commercial work um and you don't
223. 39:00want to put yourself or your your client at risk. you you might not want to use something like midjourney which one of
224. 39:07the things that we we're talking about in the salon right now when we talk about this you know establish a daily
