[Music] 1:57 doggy w 2:00 [Music] 2:16 [Applause] 2:19 [Music] 2:23 is that AI 2:25 dog in a Westerly 2:29 Direction 2:31 this car is my 2:34 train I've been driving I've been 2:38 wondering what it is I'm running from 2:44 again I feel like an 80-year-old 2:48 man holding on to 2:52 29 and up ahead on that 2:56 Horizon is a California line 3:03 [Music] 3:07 all right that's enough enough driving 3:10 me 3:11 crazy that's a good dog that's a good 3:13 singing dog that's champ the singing dog 3:15 if you haven't seen champ the singing 3:16 dog 3:17 before he's a good one here I'll show 3:20 you champ the singing dog champy say hi 3:23 to 3:23 everyone say hi hey boy good 3:29 boy 3:31 he looks like the RCA dog so it's 3:34 appropriate that he sings RCA was a 3:37 company that made stereo equipment for 3:40 old 3:43 people if there's any youngsters in here 3:46 St stereo equipment was what you played 3:49 music on before you listen to it in your 3:52 airpods on your 3:57 phone oh welcome everybody what day is 4:00 today Monday happy 4:02 Monday 4:05 TG TG am um welcome to the AI learning 4:09 lab and and uh mediocre singing 4:14 competition thank God I have the dog to 4:16 back me up you know no no one judges a 4:20 dog 4:23 singing that was funny I had a I went 4:26 through a stage where I was trying to 4:27 get some reality shows produced I got 4:29 close to 4:31 and um so I I have I have this friend 4:34 who's a a a showrunner someone you know 4:36 someone who can get this [ __ ] done so I 4:39 had I had this idea for a show uh and it 4:43 was what was it called 4:46 um um something like Dream On Dream On 4:50 Hold or dream put on hold but basically 4:52 it was it was about old guys like me 4:55 that 4:57 um that you know made a sacrifice in 5:00 their life raised a family went and got 5:02 a job and then you know kids left the 5:04 house and they decided to pursue their 5:06 dreams as a musician or whatever it was 5:09 and so it' be a reality show where you 5:11 know these these it would be like a 5:13 voice competition kind of show where 5:15 where these old guys and gals would 5:18 dream dreams on hold I think it was 5:20 called and so I call up my my buddy John 5:22 who's a showrunner and I'm like so I got 5:24 I got this show and so I pitch him the 5:26 idea he was like yeah he goes yeah 5:30 pitched that one a few years back I said 5:32 he goes guess why they didn't buy it and 5:36 I said cuz no one would give a [ __ ] he 5:39 goes 5:42 exactly are all the potato potatoes 5:44 peeled the potatoes are peeled boiled 5:47 mashed and eaten it was done done done 5:50 and done the potatoes were tasty we did 5:52 a uh so we had some friends over um that 5:57 that came over um around Thanksgiving 6:00 and uh they're vegetarians so so we put 6:03 our we put our turkey on hold until 6:06 tonight we had our turkey tonight so we 6:09 did mashed potatoes and stuffing 6:11 stuffing and mashed potatoes and it was 6:14 tasty it was good but I'm very full so 6:17 I'm a little trip toed out so I'm going 6:19 to be like little punch drunk so the 6:21 coffee is going to do its job tonight um 6:25 all right so we'll get started here if 6:26 you're new to the channel uh welcome do 6:28 me a favor if you would share the uh 6:32 share the live so we can we can let 6:33 people know we're here uh tap the screen 6:36 uh pretend like you like it I know I 6:39 haven't done [ __ ] yet well you got to 6:40 singing dog right you got to see the 6:43 cute dog you got to hear him sing and 6:45 see him for a little minute 6:47 there um and then we'll get started 6:50 we'll dig in I got a couple of things to 6:52 show so now it's hours 6:56 later 6:58 okay uh 7:01 if you have any questions about AI pop 7:03 them in the comments below I'll do my 7:05 best to answer those um I do get behind 7:07 I tend to go down little rabbit holes 7:09 but I do have mods who will pop 7:10 important questions up as we're going 7:12 through here uh hi Kyle and not Kyle did 7:15 I miss the potato peeling job I'm always 7:18 doing that unfortunately yeah Apple user 7:21 you know I ended up peeling all of the 7:24 potatoes it was all on me tonight is qar 7:27 real I don't know 7:30 everyone get ready for Kyle Shannon AI 7:32 roller coaster welcome to Chad 7:36 add yeah we'll we'll we'll go all over 7:38 the place we we we had some fun last 7:40 night 7:42 um someone asked how how I would use 7:45 chat GPT to create a storyboard for a 7:49 film and so I've written a bunch of 7:51 screenplays so I just pulled up a 7:53 screenplay and you know we we spent like 7:55 45 minutes it was really remarkable just 7:59 uh 8:01 um making storyboards from a film I I 8:04 wrote and it what was amazing about it 8:07 was it the images it generated were 8:10 essentially what I saw in my head like 8:12 it was amazing it was really amazing any 8:15 idea on when open AI will resume their 8:17 GPT Subs I hope pretty [ __ ] soon 8:20 because a big part of my community is 8:21 telling people to go use chat GPT for 8:24 and and new people can't and they they 8:27 can go use uh a co-pilot from Microsoft 8:31 but when I went to try to use that 8:34 yesterday it didn't have any of its 8:35 multimodal [ __ ] on so let me go look at 8:38 it right 8:42 now so that made me 8:45 cranky Zer out of 2000 let's see create 8:50 an image of a polar 8:54 bear and um one thing that I do want to 8:56 show tonight is I'm going to show you 8:58 the new cocacola if you haven't haven't 8:59 seen the new 9:00 Coca-Cola AI Christmas Card Maker uh 9:04 where they're letting people do 9:05 generative AI with the coke logo on it 9:07 which I find remarkable I assume they 9:10 have all sorts of safety guard rails so 9:13 we don't get you know nefarious Coke 9:15 branded Christmas cards being sent out 9:17 but but we'll see but I'll show you that 9:19 do you have a video on YouTube 9:20 explaining how to navigate through mid 9:22 journey I don't 9:27 um I can I can show you that tonight 9:30 I can I can do that tonight Naisha I can 9:32 we can we can do a mid Journey plunge 9:34 all right so so it is it flickering like 9:38 that yall seeing that what did I hit a 9:45 filter 9:47 huh must be some weird 9:53 ass I see the flickering too yeah it's 9:57 not flickering in here but it oh 10:00 huh you know what it must have been that 10:02 it just exactly synced up with the frame 10:04 rate of the video and so it that was 10:09 weird I sat down today and really 10:11 thought about how I actually worked 10:14 before chat GPT came 10:16 along oh Jim Jim so I hope you're coming 10:20 to the uh come to the AI Salon 10:23 anniversary party on December 5th 10:25 because I would love for you to tell 10:27 that story not just not just me then 10:31 thought I was having oh okay yeah mine 10:33 flickers 10:35 because of my my Graphics bord is 10:38 shot yeah I thought thought I was having 10:41 an aneurysm no it was it was it was 10:44 definitely like everything in here looks 10:46 normal do I have this too low oh that's 10:49 what it 10:50 was all 10:52 right yeah I thought it seemed a little 10:54 low anyway all right so I guess when 10:56 it's low it does it it it is not Happ 10:59 happy with its frame 11:02 rate well don't IND do seizures exactly 11:06 the AI learning lab and seizure 11:11 Community um so here's some polar 11:14 bears there's some polar bears done in 11:17 uh co-pilot all right so we'll get 11:21 started here so what we'll do we'll go 11:24 through I'll do a little primer if 11:26 you're brand new to AI I'll get you 11:28 started you'll be like Kyle where do I 11:31 start I don't know what to do kle kle K 11:33 listen somebody told me to come here and 11:35 then I came here and all you were doing 11:37 was singing on your stupid guitar with 11:38 half a voice and a dog singing in the 11:40 background I couldn't even hear what 11:41 song you were singing and then when I 11:43 could hear what song you were singing I 11:44 didn't know what it was that was some 11:46 sort of obscure depressing [ __ ] who are 11:48 you what are your qualifications sir so 11:51 if you like that I'll get you up to 11:54 speed we'll get you started on AI and 11:58 then we'll go over uh and and do some 12:01 mid Journey stuff I'll show you how mid 12:03 Journey 12:04 works and then any what any what I don't 12:07 know oh I'll go show you the Coca-Cola 12:09 thing that'll be 12:11 cool and yeah I want to hear I want to 12:13 hear Jim now that you reminisced on what 12:16 life was like before AI cuz you've been 12:18 you've been playing with it for a year 12:21 right you you started November 30th 12:24 too so yeah I would imagine it was quite 12:28 different so I'm interested to hear 12:34 that okay let's see what are we going to 12:36 do let's 12:38 [Music] 12:40 go we'll come back to the 12:44 [Laughter] 12:49 salon okay ignore the thing on the right 12:53 we'll get to that in a 12:55 second if you are new to generative a AI 12:59 if you're like if you don't even know 13:00 what it is you're like generative AI 13:02 thought it was just AI yeah it's really 13:04 machine learning but 13:05 whatever um if you've never played with 13:08 chat GPT before actually double tap the 13:11 screen give show me some hearts if 13:13 you've never tried chat GPT before I've 13:15 never tried this actually anyone anyone 13:18 on here who's never tried it 13:20 before okay so at least one awesome a 13:24 thank you for admitting that that's 13:25 super cool 13:27 okay go there right now go to chat. 13:31 open.com and and what you're going to 13:33 see it's just going to look like like 13:34 kind of like a Google search box here 13:36 look it's going to look like it's going 13:39 to look like 13:42 that and then you won't have any crap 13:44 over 13:45 here it's going to look more like that 13:48 but you won't even I don't even think 13:49 you'll have this crap it's just going to 13:50 kind of look like that and it's got It's 13:52 got some things here like yours will 13:54 probably be different mine says make up 13:56 a story help me debug write a thank you 13:58 note but just just go in there and just 14:01 ask it to do something go uh like uh 14:04 let's see uh 14:07 write a 14:11 poem about a 14:13 dog that sings better than his 14:20 master and then it'll write you a poem 14:23 and you go uh make me a project plan to 14:28 open a a pizza parlor boom and then it 14:32 will make 14:34 you a marketing plan and then you can 14:37 say 14:38 uh make me a table comparing a 14:46 restaurant to a dog grooming 14:52 business from a 14:55 viability 14:58 standpoint and then watch it make a 15:01 [Music] 15:02 table and then go and then go uh write 15:07 me a C sharp application that is a 15:14 Flappy Bird's clone that can be run on 15:20 Unity 15:21 boom and then it will do 15:24 that so if you've never seen chat gbt 15:28 and you're think thinking like oh it's 15:29 just like a Google search no no it's not 15:32 like a Google search it is not like a 15:34 Google search so while I'm while you 15:37 hear me rambling on and and making fun 15:40 of myself and and dealing with trolls um 15:44 just go there and play just play play 15:46 play and if you haven't had your Kevin 15:48 McAllister moment yet just keep playing 15:50 until you have this 15:52 moment where you realize holy 15:56 crap um so that's that okay for the rest 15:59 of 16:01 you couple other things if you don't 16:04 know about playground and and you're 16:07 geeky if you like geeking out chat GPT 16:10 is kind of the consumer front end and 16:12 the playground platform. open.com 16:15 playground is where the developers go to 16:17 develop things and you have access to 16:20 more flips and switches and dials and 16:22 API documentation and things like that 16:25 so so if you're geeky go play there and 16:28 then for for 16:30 everyone 16:32 um one of the things that I think is 16:35 critical right now for all of us for all 16:38 of 16:38 us is to keep staying Cur like get 16:42 curious and stay curious and just about 16:45 the time you think you have it figured 16:46 out flush all that down the toilet and 16:49 start over why because all of these 16:51 tools are 16:53 progressing it it seems like about every 16:55 month and a half or two months there's 16:57 some major update 17:00 to I've been calling it the keys to the 17:02 universe interesting keeps changing so 17:04 fast yeah exactly Ron digity 17:06 exactly so so what I'm going to show you 17:09 is these are a bunch of tools 17:12 that I'm keeping my eye on like I I use 17:15 a fair amount so these are the big four 17:17 Claude Bard co-pilot and grock grock I 17:20 don't use right now because I don't have 17:22 access to it yet but it's supposed to be 17:24 coming out this week and that's that's 17:26 Elon musk's Twitter power 17:29 chat GPT competitor that's actually 17:31 going to live inside Twitter it's going 17:33 to live inside X um so pay attention to 17:36 that one co-pilot is essentially free 17:39 chat GPT 4 um although it's it's a 17:42 little H hindered because of their 17:43 safety guard rails Claude is chat gpt's 17:46 major competitor it's a bunch of exop AI 17:48 people in fact Dario the CEO of that was 17:52 asked to come run open AI the Saturday 17:55 after they uh fired Sam Alman and he 17:58 told him to go pound sand and then Bard 18:01 is Google's entry into this world and um 18:04 it's it's interesting both um Bard and 18:07 co-pilot and grock are all going to be 18:10 connected to real-time data to the 18:11 internet grock in particular 18:14 incorporates Twitter data into into its 18:18 responses so you can get more 18:20 disinformation 18:22 faster okay um next four to go play with 18:26 pi perplexity Po and then latus whole 18:29 world in of itself that's the whole open 18:31 source World um Pi perplexity and po are 18:35 all really interesting uh models so so 18:39 here's 18:40 nine nine that that I think are worth 18:43 you spending time 18:45 on chat 18:48 GPT those 18:49 four and those four and screenshot these 18:53 if you're if you're typing slow and I'm 18:55 moving too fast just screenshot these 18:57 and you're like but Kyle I don't want to 18:59 type them in well if you got chat gp4 or 19:01 co-pilot you can have it Go just upload 19:04 the image of your screenshot and have uh 19:06 chat GPD type it out for you it will do 19:09 that um here's your image generation 19:12 tools so screenshot that dolly3 lives 19:16 inside chat GPT and inside Microsoft 19:20 co-pilot mid Journey we're going to go 19:22 look at that lives you you have to make 19:24 images inside Discord right now but 19:26 they've been improving their website so 19:27 I have a feeling 19:29 probably within a month or two of them 19:32 releasing web-based mid Journey which 19:35 which I think will be a game changer 19:36 that they'll they'll get a much bigger 19:39 user base when you don't have to do 19:40 command line [ __ ] in Discord uh then you 19:43 got Leonardo which is a web front end of 19:45 stable diffusion and you got Firefly 19:47 which is from Adobe and they they keep 19:49 getting better and better and it's safe 19:51 for 19:52 commercial you guys talk about the new 19:54 Samsung phone coming out in January with 19:56 GPT in the phone uh we talked about it a 19:58 little bit 19:59 um yeah and I think it's a trend that's 20:01 that's going to be coming so Samsung 20:03 announced this phone with a chip on it 20:05 that allows you to basically run 20:08 whatever large language model that 20:09 they've used I'm sure they're using one 20:11 of the open source ones probably llama 20:13 is my guess but who knows um but but you 20:16 can actually run that large language 20:18 model locally on the device so you're 20:20 not sending um queries out to other 20:24 services like all of these things you're 20:26 sending your data to some other service 20:28 they're processing it and giving it back 20:30 to you Samsung announced they're going 20:32 to do it on device all of Apple's 20:34 conversations have indicated that when 20:37 their [ __ ] comes out it's going to run 20:38 on device and they've got a reputation 20:41 for um privacy and taking that [ __ ] 20:43 seriously so um so I think that's going 20:46 to be a a big thing in 2024 is is local 20:49 models um video is also another big 20:53 thing um check out uh the three things 20:55 on the left Runway ml Moon Valley and P 20:58 abs are all text to video and image to 21:01 video tools runway. TV 21:05 feels like the early days of MTV and um 21:12 and the early days of Netflix had a baby 21:15 um and people are going to make fun of 21:16 it and they're not going to get it and 21:17 then all of a sudden mark my words 21:19 Runway TV is going to turn into a 21:21 network killer um then you got hey Jen 21:24 and did are both really interesting 21:26 voice synthesis Avatar Mak 21:29 Technologies he Jen in particular is 21:30 doing really interesting stuff with 21:32 translation and avatars of you you can 21:35 make your own deep fake with hey Jen 21:37 which I can show you um Visa is just 21:40 corporate video like yeah corporate 21:41 videos like stock stock uh videos but 21:45 put together very quickly and and 21:47 cleverly um here's music and audio 11 21:50 Labs you can synthesize your voice sunno 21:53 and refusion are 21:55 singing you put in a prompt and it 21:57 creates a song with lyrics and a person 21:59 singing it and then sound draw is kind 22:02 of background music 22:04 creation um there's some of your 3D 22:07 stuff you're like Kyle I don't have 22:09 enough time for all this doesn't matter 22:11 just just capture all this [ __ ] and just 22:13 spend the next two weeks without a life 22:16 and then you'll be 22:19 fine you'll discover oh my God 22:22 everything's changing Kyle what did you 22:24 do to me exactly you could you'll keep 22:26 coming back here and be like okay I got 22:28 to get caught up on this what the [ __ ] 22:30 he talking about now um and then these 22:33 people you should follow these people 22:34 are actually coherent if if if uh if the 22:38 AI learning lab is chat 22:40 add all of these people let me see yeah 22:43 with no exceptions are actually 22:46 functional human 22:47 beings although David Shapiro is 22:50 self-admittedly neuros spicy um but he's 22:53 he's wicked [ __ ] smart um so Ethan 22:55 mik Paul rer of the marketing AI 22:57 Institute Rachel Woods here on Tik Tok 22:59 is a good balance to this channel she's 23:01 very buttoned up uh I'm 23:05 chaos and then David Shapiro is doing a 23:08 bunch of stuff with AGI is it possible 23:10 to move a folder up to get the 23:13 text or is it one file at a time I don't 23:18 I do I do not know of what you speak 23:20 David Crossland or cross. David oh hey 23:25 Mark oh hi I I do not know what you 23:27 speak of the word words what folder do 23:30 you mean which file I don't 23:33 know 23:35 um all right so so that should get you 23:38 started and then I'll talk about this 23:41 now I'm not going to go through it too 23:42 deep but if you're looking for a 23:44 community of people that are weird like 23:50 you um check out the AI salon so that's 23:54 our Mighty Network's address we we just 23:57 went live with the mighty networks 23:59 Community 24:01 about a week 24:03 ago um the salon's been around for a 24:06 year we've got a Discord where you can 24:08 make mid Journey images and that's where 24:09 the community was but we're Migra 24:11 migrating it over to Mighty 24:13 networks and 24:15 um and what's cool is so so I do these 24:21 things nightly these lives I go like 2 24:23 and a half three hours a night seven 24:24 nights a week why cuz I'm nuts and and 24:29 what ends up happening is there's a lot 24:30 of people we call them the Irregulars 24:32 some of them help mod the channel so 24:34 thank you for whoever's modding tonight 24:36 and then some of them just like hanging 24:38 out and both both are cool and what ends 24:40 up happening is as we talk and as we 24:42 play with stuff and as I make jokes 24:44 about stuff they create images and then 24:46 they share them on channels on on the 24:48 mighty networks and they share them in 24:50 the showand tell Channel and they share 24:51 them in the Irregulars Channel and 24:52 things like that I've been sick I feel 24:55 like I'm a couple of years behind you 24:57 guys yeah Ron Diggity you you can't get 25:00 sick it's not allowed you're not allowed 25:02 to get sick now that AI is here you 25:04 can't I took a day off from this thing 25:07 it took me three days to 25:09 recover it's like you're not allowed 25:12 it's just you're not 25:14 allowed it's not it's just it's just the 25:17 new rules we just we just need to accept 25:19 it okay so no getting sick there is sick 25:23 is right out 25:26 um yeah but go uh go check out go check 25:29 out the salon okay so someone wanted to 25:33 know how we 25:34 do how you do mid Journey so where I am 25:39 this is Discord let me turn some of this 25:41 interface off because there's a lot of 25:43 it um if you've never seen Discord 25:47 before this is it let me make things a 25:49 little bigger so down the left hand side 25:52 you've got these are um communities 25:55 right so these are these are different 25:56 communities like this is a group of in 25:58 called neotokyo here's the mid Journey 26:01 server um here's the AI salon so so this 26:04 is where we've been for a year and 26:07 within the 26:08 salon um we've got announcements we've 26:11 got resources we've got guilds the 26:13 guilds in particular are moving over to 26:15 Mighty 26:16 networks um but we've got a writer Guild 26:19 an Art Guild things like that business 26:21 Guild uh P's got a mechanics Guild where 26:23 you can talk about geeky [ __ ] there's a 26:24 healthcare Guild there's now a video 26:27 Guild um and then we've got discussion 26:29 areas and we've got this thing called 26:31 mid Journey play and so this is a 26:33 channel where we can make images with 26:35 mid journey and so here's 26:39 Claire she just she is like really 26:42 finding her voice with art and just in 26:44 here all the time doing all sorts of 26:46 cool stuff those are pillows I guess 26:49 those are some freaky ass 26:51 Birds those are like bird hummingbird 26:55 face head thing pillows 26:59 um but she's working on some really cool 27:01 stuff um okay so how do you do mid 27:06 journey is you can either go to the mid 27:08 Journey server itself and within mid 27:11 Journey again there's lots of different 27:12 channels and then there's these channels 27:14 called newbies and if you're new you're 27:16 going to be a newbie or you can go to 27:19 something like the AI Salon Discord and 27:22 that's got a mid Journey Channel and 27:25 when you're in a channel that's got mid 27:26 journey in it you type slash 27:30 imagine and then you'll notice it puts a 27:32 little prompt up here it says you know 27:34 put a prompt in there so I'm going to 27:35 hit return and then there there's my 27:37 prompt so I did Slash imagine and now 27:39 there's a place for me to type a prompt 27:41 and so I'm going to 27:42 say 27:45 um see 27:50 photo 27:54 surrealistic 27:56 um image 27:59 of 28:01 a street 28:04 princess in 28:05 a 28:08 grungy 28:10 alley 28:13 in 28:15 distopian 28:18 neotokyo and then I'm going to 28:21 go dash dash AR 16 28:26 colon9 and and you're like but Kyle what 28:29 is this madness you spake of what what 28:32 is this D- ar16 colon9 this seems like 28:36 coding this seems like something I would 28:38 never want to learn ever in my life Kyle 28:41 is this why they call it prompt 28:42 engineering oh Kyle why do they do this 28:45 to us and you would be correct you would 28:48 be correct uh with mid Journey you kind 28:50 of have to know their secret double 28:53 secret handshake 28:54 language this is not going to last for 28:56 long and if you use DOI within chat GPT 28:59 I'll I'll compare the difference for you 29:02 the reason you would go through this 29:03 [ __ ] with mid journey is because the 29:06 quality of it is so good so so now we're 29:10 going to hit 29:11 return and it's going to go off and it's 29:14 going to build something so it's going 29:15 to build us our surrealistic image of a 29:17 street prin princess in a grungy alley 29:20 in dystopian neotokyo I don't know what 29:22 that means but it probably does um these 29:27 these image models have remarkable depth 29:30 of knowledge of Art and language and so 29:34 you'll notice that the images but but 29:36 how why why are they so fuzzy why are 29:39 they so fuzzy I thought they were pretty 29:41 oh that now it's looking better it's 29:43 less fuzzy it's less fuzzy so this is 29:45 the way these things work the way they 29:47 actually work is when you put in your 29:49 prompt it sort of deselects 29:52 any image any Associated things that 29:56 used to be images that are now just 29:58 these random noise patterns and it it 30:00 kind of amalgamates them together into a 30:03 single noisy image and then it denoises 30:06 them over 50 steps using the same 30:08 algorithm that noised them in the first 30:11 place and after those 50 steps then you 30:14 end up with four different options and 30:17 so we'll kind of zoom in here so there's 30:19 our street princess and there's another 30:21 one there and another one there so I 30:23 kind of like this upper right one so 30:26 we'll go back out and then you have 30:27 these crazy letters u12 3 4 and V12 3 4 30:31 and then this twirly button the twirly 30:33 button is I hate them all start over um 30:36 v stands for variation U stands for 30:38 upscale so I like this 30:42 one and and actually I think that one's 30:46 interesting so it's 1 2 3 4 so I'm going 30:48 to upscale that one and then I'm going 30:50 to do variations on that one cuz that 30:52 one's got something but I think it could 30:55 the the composition could be improved so 30:57 I go upscale two and then I'll go 30:59 variations of 31:01 three all right and then the upscale 31:04 generally works pretty 31:06 quick yeah there's the 31:08 upscale crazy 31:11 beautiful and 31:13 then you can also upscale it 2X or 4X so 31:18 I can basically take this to print 31:20 resolution with a cck click of a button 31:22 I can also zoom out on it if I'm like oh 31:25 I kind of like this but I want her to be 31:26 farther in the distance 31:28 I can just do something like zoom out 31:31 1.5 and and so it'll Now sort of fill in 31:34 the a it's it's what's called out 31:37 painting in stable diffusion but just 31:39 zoom out is actually really good uh a 31:42 really good descriptor of it so that's 31:44 that and now we've got these are the 31:45 four variations of the one we saw 31:49 before and let's see let's compare it to 31:52 what was there it was that 31:56 one so let's 31:59 see I think I like 32:03 uh tough I think I like number two or no 32:08 you know what I like the contrast in 32:10 number three so we're going to go 32:12 upscale number 32:14 three and then at some point here we 32:18 should see yeah these are the zoom outs 32:21 of the of the uh one we did 32:24 before so they're still 32:26 rendering 32:30 and I think I 32:33 like they're very very 32:37 similar 32:40 uh here we go let's 32:44 see I guess we'll do number two I'm 32:47 going to upscale number 32:50 two and then there's our upscale of that 32:53 one and then you go in and you got a 32:55 nice beautiful 32:58 dystopian 32:59 neotokyo Ali princess didn't know what 33:02 an Ali princess was but there she is 33:06 okay so that's how you do mid 33:08 Journey um you can dig deeper in it but 33:11 but basically you know it's it's worth 33:15 the pain in the ass because the quality 33:17 the subtlety of of the images that are 33:19 made are are you know they're just 33:22 amazing right it's just if you want art 33:26 use mid Journey 33:28 if you want commercial images for your 33:30 business use Adobe Firefly and what you 33:33 should 33:35 know even if you're using Adobe Firefly 33:38 for your 33:38 business9 thank you Siri um is you 33:42 should understand how mid journey is 33:46 different than 33:47 Adobe um and like which which one's good 33:50 for what and you know where the 33:52 boundaries are so just get curious with 33:54 all this AI stuff Kyle motorcycle helmet 33:56 box 33:58 is in the camera frame oh that's cool 34:01 yeah this is this is my fancy this is my 34:05 fancy my fancy 34:10 uh monitor 34:15 stand it doesn't matter I don't 34:19 care nothing but the best production 34:21 value here at the AI learning 34:26 lab 34:29 oh 34:31 yeah Bob tell him what he's won you won 34:34 a new podcasting setup with actual 34:36 equipment I don't need 34:39 [Laughter] 34:43 that all right Kyle acting doesn't know 34:47 what an Al princess is exactly 34:50 P it's a term I heard it's on the 34:53 internet somewhere yeah yeah I heard it 34:55 there on the on the internet yeah that's 34:58 a 34:59 ticket okay um all right what do we want 35:03 to do tell me what you want to do we'll 35:05 go do it we'll go do something let me 35:07 flip back over here flip over here flip 35:10 there this is a uh some image oh I was 35:13 going to show the Coca-Cola thing so 35:15 here's one of the Coca-Cola images that 35:17 Ted did this was this was shared on the 35:20 um the AI 35:21 salon and then he also did this one 35:24 which I just think is 35:26 cool 35:33 so see if you just if you just want to 35:35 make you know dumb images you can do it 35:39 at the AI salon and and people won't 35:41 make fun of you they will celebrate you 35:43 put your put your images on the internet 35:46 on the Tik 35:49 Tok the Bears all right where can we 35:52 find the 35:53 codes we would need for Mid Journey so 35:56 just go to Mid journey.com 35:57 Tom this is okay this is really a pain 36:00 in the ass so okay so here's what you're 36:03 going to 36:05 do all right that's Bing so we're going 36:07 to 36:08 go you go to Mid journey.com 36:16 and it's going to take you to a page 36:19 unless they've changed it no it's going 36:21 to take you to this crazy page you're 36:22 going to be like oh it's like the Matrix 36:24 this is so cool let me enter here 36:27 and then you click in the middle of that 36:29 thing and nothing happens because you 36:32 know 36:34 Geeks and then down here in this little 36:37 font that if you're old like me your 36:39 eyes can't see that's where you go join 36:41 the beta and when you click on that that 36:44 is going to take you somewhere else it's 36:47 going to take you to Discord and if 36:49 you've never been on Discord it's going 36:51 to be completely discombobulating you're 36:54 going to be like where where am I what 36:56 happened 36:58 am I are we in Kansas is this Oz you're 37:01 like no it's a crappy gaming 37:03 conversation server called Discord so 37:06 sign up in Discord you'll be somewhere 37:08 in the uh in the mid Journey uh you know 37:13 sea of channels here and then just find 37:15 your way down to one of the Newbie 37:16 channels and then you can start making 37:19 art like this 37:23 person all 37:25 right okay 37:29 um all right let me go show you the Coca 37:32 colola 37:36 stuff so if you go to create realm 37:39 magic.com 37:41 um you have to go through create a 37:45 zap in one of your gpts I haven't done 37:48 that yet Nostalgia flick actually I've 37:51 done it once but I didn't get it 37:52 actually functional I got it to call the 37:55 zap and then the authen authentication 37:57 failed and I 37:59 never uh managed to it wasn't that I 38:02 didn't manage to get it going it's that 38:04 I never went back and TR although I did 38:06 work in zapier today to pull we have we 38:10 have a share your GPT channel in the 38:13 Discord in the salon Discord and Pate 38:16 actually downloaded all of the data from 38:20 all of our channels and I created a zap 38:22 to pull that data and post it to Mighty 38:24 networks which was kind of a vict iory 38:27 but it didn't do it in a very sexy way 38:30 so anyway go to creat magic.com and this 38:34 is a Coca-Cola so Coca-Cola did this 38:37 contest I think at the beginning of the 38:40 Summer where they allowed 20 artists to 38:44 basically use this tool to make art and 38:47 I thought well they'll they'll never 38:48 really give access to this to the to the 38:51 community to to the public to the 38:53 consumer public but they have and so um 38:58 so this is the interface it's pretty 38:59 slick so you pick a subject below and 39:02 then you can kind of scroll you know 39:03 there's a coke bottle there's a vending 39:05 machine a wreath a snowman you know all 39:08 this kind of iconic the coke 39:10 truck the what's it called the sun sunnd 39:13 Blom Santa I guess he's the famous 39:16 illustrator that did the 1890s uh kind 39:19 of Saturday evening post things or 39:22 whatever it was so we'll do a Coca-Cola 39:24 bottle then you pick a 39:25 style so they got what do they got here 39:29 geometric pop 39:32 art neon snow layered paper I like 39:36 layered paper that always generates good 39:39 things and then you add a scene so where 39:41 do where do we want our Coke bottle 39:43 Polar Express oh North Pole evergreen 39:46 forest night sky candy cane Forest let's 39:49 do candy cane forest or 39:52 space let's go space outer space and so 39:56 notice it's put the little so everything 39:58 we've clicked on it's put basically a 40:00 little tag down in the prompt so this is 40:03 a a prompt Builder right so you don't 40:05 have to think of words it's just like 40:07 Mad Libs and then you can type it into 40:10 customize and I could say 40:13 um a 40:17 llama 40:19 Hedgehog and 40:22 turtle are 40:25 in animal 40:27 space 40:32 suits 40:36 floating near 40:39 their space 40:44 station with a 40:46 planet in the 40:52 background bottles of Coke float 40:57 by 41:04 them create Magic and so now it's GNA oh 41:10 try 41:12 again come on all right now it's going 41:16 magic is happening oh Magic is not 41:21 happening all right maybe I made this 41:23 too long let's see uh what the planet in 41:27 the background let's just do that maybe 41:30 their servers are too C their servers 41:33 could be cza 41:36 CAA it's so 41:42 CA eror looks like the servers are 41:48 busy now what it could also be 41:52 is it could be that my prompt has 41:54 something in it that they deem 41:57 um not good let's see Hedgehog are in 42:01 animal space suits let me pull out the 42:03 animal space 42:05 suits let's see are 42:09 floating near their space station with a 42:11 planet in the background create 42:14 Magic because one of the things that I I 42:16 asked it's a magic error yeah one of the 42:19 things that I wondered about this no 42:21 it's not going to work anyway I got it 42:23 to work before and it made actually some 42:26 a pretty nice image but but then when I 42:28 go to load my gallery it seems to 42:31 be 42:34 janky like it it the page never 42:38 loads so although I think I got it to 42:40 load by hitting cookie settings no 42:43 that's not even working 42:48 [Music] 42:49 now card creator maybe I can do card 42:52 creator no that's where I 42:55 was all right let's just do we'll go add 42:58 style we'll go pop art 43:03 truck ice skating rink and we'll 43:13 go all right let's see how this 43:17 does too detailed yeah it might have 43:19 been too 43:25 detailed cuz what they're trying to 43:28 create here are you know like an 43:31 infinite number of coke ads that people 43:35 send to their friends and family so it 43:37 looks like this may take a minute in the 43:38 meantime check out some other 43:48 artwork put the bear on Lake Shore 43:54 Drive that's pretty good 43:57 all right the magic is happening it's 43:59 going to be so worth it it's going to be 44:02 so good people you're not even going to 44:03 know how good it is seriously it's going 44:06 to be like it's going to have like a 44:08 Coke truck it's going to be like on the 44:10 lake it's like they're going to be 44:11 having truck driving races on the 44:14 lake you know like we used to do as 44:18 kids it uses Dolly 2 is that a Coke 44:23 Zero it's a magic 44:25 error uh 44:27 uh uh is it using Dolly 3 that's 44:32 interesting because I would think they 44:34 would have use stable diffusion and and 44:36 created their own Laura or something 44:38 like 44:41 that cuz I don't know can you get they 44:45 they've got to be doing some sort of 44:46 fine tuning to get the coke logo in 44:49 there that's that's I don't like the 44:51 style but that's kind of sweet now you 44:53 say make a card this part I haven't 44:57 done add a 45:01 greeting um let's see if it'll let us do 45:04 something funny 45:07 Happy 45:13 diabetes let's go 45:16 bold let's do 20 and let's do can I make 45:20 an italic come 45:25 on that's it I 45:29 can't color red yeah Red's good oh no 45:32 let's do green I got green 45:34 here you got green for me there we go 45:38 happy 45:41 diabetes death and dying to the sequel 45:44 let's see oh I see we got we got little 45:47 it's already busy enough I don't think 45:49 we need stuff around the outside do we 45:52 no that's too much all right none 45:57 let's see if it lets me do happy 45:58 diabetes it 46:03 shouldn't Kyle I love you define these 46:06 tools as janky because it's so true I 46:08 can get 80% of what I want yep yeah th 46:13 this is just know that all of these 46:15 tools right now every single one of them 46:20 is mind-blowingly powerful and kind of 46:25 awful 46:28 thank you I've signed up at Mid Journey 46:29 thank you for showing the way Kyle 46:31 you're welcome Joseph listen mid journey 46:34 is as much of a pain in the ass it is 46:36 it's still the best if you want like 46:38 truly high quality art it's it's it's 46:41 that one if you want to be able to 46:43 really tweak things and and create your 46:46 own models and do that that's stable 46:48 diffusion but you got to be a little 46:50 geeky and stable diffusion just released 46:53 stable video diffusion so you can now 46:56 take all of the luras and all of the 46:58 interesting [ __ ] that you've done in 47:00 stable Fusion for still images and apply 47:02 that to video Herod who's in here a lot 47:05 has created this this now getting famous 47:09 um Laura for stable diffusion that does 47:12 letters as good as Dolly as as good as 47:14 Dolly 3 and so he's getting a lot of uh 47:18 noise for that which is super cool but 47:19 he's also been starting to use that 47:22 Laura with the video stable diffusion 47:24 and it's really cool so that's that's 47:26 that that one and then if you just want 47:28 convenience and and to make images more 47:32 like being a did it not let 47:35 me generate this or did it generate it 47:38 what did it do did it download it I 47:40 wasn't paying 47:45 attention gig what is 47:50 that no that's Gig 47:55 Harbor 47:58 I don't think it liked my happy 48:01 diabetes I'm G to get a ceas and deist 48:05 from 48:06 Coke it's happened before I got a cease 48:08 and desist from Mattel um when we did 48:12 the photo expose of the lesbian Barbie 48:14 scene in 48:16 1995 that that was a good cease and 48:18 desist to get and then I got a cease and 48:21 desist from McDonald's Corporation when 48:23 we registered MC webb.com and they sent 48:25 us letter that basically said don't mck 48:28 [ __ ] with our brand or we'll mck [ __ ] m 48:30 mck [ __ ] take you down they take 48:33 their Mick whatever really seriously 48:35 over there at McDonald's 48:38 so we were going to create you know like 48:40 a like a Squarespace kind of web Builder 48:44 kind of thing back in the mid 90s we 48:46 were going to call it MC web and uh they 48:49 didn't like 48:50 [Music] 48:55 that W what funny you having if you're 48:57 not [ __ ] with the big guys huh okay 49:00 so that's the coke 49:02 thing don't say they are as bad as they 49:06 will ever be Bing proves that wrong 49:07 every day you know what Joker you're 49:09 right the the the 49:12 Microsoft's uh implementation of the gp4 49:16 it should be better by now it really 49:18 should they they've got they their 49:20 lawyers have a strangle hold on that 49:21 product team and it's it's it's going to 49:23 [ __ ] up that brand if they don't get it 49:26 together although you know what it's 49:28 it's not actually let me take that back 49:31 because their client base is they've got 49:35 to get some percentage of Office 365 49:38 subscribers to upgrade right and it's 49:40 probably not a big percentage if they 49:42 got 10 or 15% of Office 365 users to 49:46 upgrade to the 30 bucks a month for um 49:49 for co-pilot which they will and they'll 49:51 probably get more than that it'll 49:52 probably be closer to 30 or 40% is my 49:55 guess right out of the gate 49:57 and they'll um they'll be fine so the 50:01 product can be compromised it it's just 50:03 like Adobe right now like doing 50:06 generative stuff with Adobe products 50:08 because it's not been trained on 50:10 copywritten images corporations are 50:12 going to use it even if it's not the 50:14 same quality but the quality is getting 50:17 better like I I got to say I'm impressed 50:19 with with Adobe um I'm impressed with 50:21 the speed Microsoft is moving I I really 50:25 wish they would [ __ ] dial up the 50:26 quality of their product cuz it it's 50:28 just it's you're right 50:30 Joker Silver Fox I'm Blown Away by mid 50:33 Journey at times I know me too I'm mid 50:36 journey is one of those things where I 50:37 really want to hate it I really want to 50:40 hate it and I really want someone to 50:41 come along to Dethrone them I think the 50:44 CEO is a bit of a tool I you know I I 50:47 think the fact that they're still on 50:48 Discord is absolutely [ __ ] ridiculous 50:50 that they didn't prioritize getting it 50:52 off Discord is astounding to me um 50:56 but it's still the best thing out there 50:59 I want to build an uninhibited AI server 51:02 using open source stuff okay so what you 51:04 want to do Joseph is just go to 51:07 Reddit and just start digging around the 51:09 open- source community and and you know 51:12 start learning um uh hugging face and 51:15 GitHub and and uh Google or uh yeah 51:20 Google uh collab so you can run um the 51:25 the sort of install a tools uh for all 51:27 the open source models there's also 51:29 something that you could play with 51:30 called GPT for all which is an 51:33 installable here let me flip my let me 51:35 flip my my little 51:40 thinger we'll give Coke a little a 51:42 little ad because I'm making so much 51:45 money from Coke they're one of the 51:47 sponsors of the AI learning lab not they 51:51 are tonight all 51:54 right um 51:57 [Music] 51:59 there's a project called GPT for all 52:02 that's got installa bles for OSX windows 52:05 and Linux and you basically just install 52:08 that thing on your machine and then and 52:09 then you can install open open source 52:12 models within it so rather than having 52:14 to spin up all these different instances 52:16 of of you know Google collabs and things 52:20 like that you can just have GPT for all 52:22 and go do it it depends how geeky you 52:24 want to get right if you want to get 52:25 geeky get get geeky and just dig in and 52:28 go learn all that [ __ ] and here's the 52:30 deal even if you're not geeky even even 52:32 if you're like well I'm not technical 52:34 well now you 52:36 are here's a trick go to GitHub and find 52:41 a GitHub repository thank you drew happy 52:44 afternoon I loved your uh wait I I I put 52:48 your I loved your mowing image that you 52:51 shared I think I put it in here 52:53 somewhere yeah that's Drew that's Drew 52:57 out listening to the AI learning lab 52:58 while he was mowing cuz he's in 53:00 Australia and it's like afternoon 53:02 there 53:04 so never flip your thingy on a 53:09 live you got you got to flip your thingy 53:12 occasionally if you're not flipping your 53:14 thingy who's going to flip it for 53:17 [Laughter] 53:21 you go get up Kyle with a 53:24 smile 53:30 I'm just watching the uh the first 53:32 season of Fargo and there's there's like 53:36 the middle the middle uh episodes Oliver 53:39 Platt is this whatever salesman dude or 53:43 grocery store 53:45 owner and Billy Bob Thorton replaces his 53:48 anxiety medication with 53:50 Aderall so he he just gets increasingly 53:54 paranoid and he's sweaty and he's just 53:57 like he's scratching himself he's 53:59 getting 54:00 all God's telling me things it's pretty 54:07 good um what was I gonna say about about 54:11 um about geeking out on this stuff um oh 54:17 also if you want to geek out on the open 54:18 source stuff start following David 54:21 Shapiro um he's Dave shap on 54:35 YouTube yeah this isn't right anymore 54:38 let me actually fix this he changed 54:47 it is it dave. shap I think it's dave. 54:54 shap let's go 55:10 see David 55:12 Shapiro hello my name is David 55:17 Shapiro 55:19 yeah it's not do shap it's at dve 55:24 shap No 55:27 period so go follow him he's got two 55:30 open- Source projects right 55:33 now have you gotten your GRS off yet I 55:35 have not gotten grock yet although go 55:37 look right now maybe I'll get it now 55:38 it's one of my one of the things I'm 55:40 digging about doing these lives is I'll 55:42 sometimes discover I was given access to 55:44 something on the lives and that's pretty 55:46 cool um Dave Shop's got two projects 55:50 right now he's got one open source 55:52 project creating agent swarms so so you 55:55 can take the the new chat GPT assistant 56:00 API and they're 56:02 creating 56:04 assistant assistants that create other 56:07 assistants and and then all of those the 56:10 assistants take 56:12 actions and so they're creating swarms 56:14 of these agents that can all talk to one 56:16 another and as scary as that sounds 56:18 think of it more like if you wanted to 56:21 create if you had a goal to to book a 56:24 vacation for your family and do daily 56:27 itineraries for 2 weeks and you just 56:31 said you just said I have a budget of 56:33 $10,000 I want to take you know vacation 56:37 on on this day here's your criteria like 56:39 here's what I want to spend here's the 56:41 kind of vacation I 56:43 want you know here's the kind of 56:45 activities I want I I want the kids 56:48 separated from us for at least 50% of 56:51 the 56:52 trip go and then this thing will just 56:55 spin up agents to go do all the 56:58 different tasks that need to be done and 57:00 and the central one will coordinate it 57:02 all so that's one of his 57:04 projects and then the other one is a 57:06 cognitive architecture for AGI for 57:08 artificial general intelligence which is 57:10 what Sam Alman and the open AI team are 57:13 rumored to have cracked some version of 57:17 uh which led to Sam alman's 57:18 firing so I would go follow I would go 57:22 follow Ye Ye Old David Shapiro 57:26 uh if I were you okay Ted looks at life 57:28 hugging face CEO predicts 2024 open 57:30 source llm will reach the level of 57:34 closed Source yeah I think that's 57:36 probably right Ted because you've got 57:39 you've got so many people now like one 57:43 of the one of the very 57:46 very positive impacts of chat GPT 57:50 hitting 100 million users in six weeks 57:52 which is what they did fastest adoption 57:54 of technology and history one of the 57:57 nice um side effects of that is that the 58:00 entire development Community just went 58:03 Bonkers and so you've you've effectively 58:06 got the global open- Source development 58:09 Community all working on AI because 58:12 there's so much opportunity there um and 58:15 what it does is so [ __ ] magical and 58:17 so I just think I just think that amount 58:19 of intellectual horsepower not only 58:22 working on the projects but like one of 58:25 the things that I've seen in the 58:26 developer Community is a paper will come 58:28 out and the paper will say okay we took 58:32 this algorithm and these two existing 58:34 Technologies and we glued them together 58:36 to make this new thing and then within 58:39 two days that paper shows up in another 58:43 paper that says okay we took that paper 58:46 and we glued it together with this other 58:48 algorithm and now it's this new thing 58:50 and it's just it's it's just getting 58:52 insane so so I think I think you're 58:54 right I think the uh the open source 58:57 Community is already making great 58:58 strides with things like optimization 59:01 making these models smaller and smaller 59:02 and smaller and still perform well and 59:06 what that means is they're going to at 59:08 some point get them small enough that we 59:10 can just install them on our phone 59:11 locally and run them locally right 59:13 that's what that Samsung phone announced 59:15 that's what the new Apple Hardware is 59:17 talking about so where we're moving is 59:21 models where we don't have to rely on 59:23 open Ai and we don't have to rely on mic 59:25 Microsoft and we can say hey I want one 59:27 that cusses at me and doesn't give me 59:29 all the safety guard rails and I want it 59:30 to run locally and that's going to be 59:33 that's going to be a reality in in 2024 59:35 and then and then yeah I think on the 59:37 high end you're going to end up with you 59:40 know some models that are really really 59:43 good and if this qar thing is real and 59:47 and what it is and what its mechanisms 59:49 are get out then the open source 59:52 Community is going to be all over that 59:53 and then at that point then I think 59:55 things accelerate really really quickly 59:57 so I think 2024 is going to be absolute 1:00:01 Insanity it's going to be crazy you know 1:00:03 what it's going to be you can make money 1:00:05 with ch big time yeah it's GNA be 1:00:10 that learn this [ __ ] and and listen when 1:00:13 I say learn this [ __ ] if you're not 1:00:15 technical that doesn't matter learn what 1:00:19 you can learn go to chat GPT and get it 1:00:21 to make you pizza 1:00:23 recipes learn how to make pictures with 1:00:25 it learn how to use the multimodal stuff 1:00:27 I don't know what multimodal is that 1:00:29 sounds fancy okay it's just it makes 1:00:32 pictures too it can make words and it 1:00:34 can make pictures oh and then it can see 1:00:36 pictures oh and it can talk and it can 1:00:39 hear it can't do music or video yet but 1:00:42 I'm pretty sure that's 1:00:44 coming someone sent me a video today of 1:00:47 uh meta released a thing called any Mal 1:00:52 which is a very bad 1:00:54 name 1:00:55 um that is supposed to be really really 1:00:58 good and full multimodal does music does 1:01:01 video does images does 1:01:03 words and Gemini from Google P's here 1:01:07 but he can't talk about it he tells us 1:01:08 that every time I say hey Pate tell us 1:01:10 what's going on with that I can't I 1:01:12 can't talk about 1:01:13 it I can tell you about tpus though no P 1:01:17 we want to know about Gemini I can't 1:01:19 talk about that 1:01:20 anyway apparently Gemini is supposed to 1:01:23 be pretty damn good it's been 1:01:25 delayed I'm reserving 1:01:29 judgment they're claiming it's five 1:01:31 times better than GPT 4 I think we can 1:01:35 all agree that that was marketing people 1:01:37 that said 1:01:39 that but even if it's as good as GPT for 1:01:42 holy 1:01:43 [ __ ] and then we're going to have grock 1:01:45 oh let me go see if I have access to 1:01:47 grock 1:01:49 grock come on Elon TOS Kyle a bone 1:01:55 we know that samam alman's very jealous 1:01:57 of me doesn't give me the features as 1:02:00 soon as I should get 1:02:04 them I don't see 1:02:07 it 1:02:09 nope daddy ain't got 1:02:13 grock let's see are there any 1:02:15 announcements about 1:02:23 grock okay well follow grock maybe 1:02:25 following grock will get me access 1:02:28 sooner hey grock in a few weeks there 1:02:31 will be grock analysis 1:02:35 button no there's nothing 1:02:39 nothing yeah so much for your fancy llm 1:02:44 Elon guess he's busy cleaning up Ro 1:02:47 rocket 1:02:49 parts that was pretty impressive the uh 1:02:52 the last uh Starship launch even though 1:02:54 it blew up up get your smart pants on 1:02:57 Tyrant truth what's happening how are 1:02:59 you good to see 1:03:02 you Ashu hello AI people good evening to 1:03:06 you I was thinking of training AI to do 1:03:08 sound 1:03:10 therapy yeah that's interesting the the 1:03:14 the audio space is a little 1:03:18 um I don't I was just going to say it's 1:03:21 not as far along as the other things it 1:03:22 probably is as far along I just don't 1:03:24 know it I would go if if I were you I 1:03:27 would go check out I can talk about it 1:03:30 this time oh 1:03:32 Pate spill the [ __ ] 1:03:35 beans do tell pray tell Pate what would 1:03:39 you like to share about Yan 1:03:41 Gemini is it five times better than GPT 1:03:43 4 is it launching do we have a release 1:03:46 date why was it 1:03:48 delayed anything anything you can give 1:03:53 us 1:03:56 I can't actually talk about 1:03:59 it I'm out of touch with 1:04:01 that I'm out of touch with what we can 1:04:03 or can't 1:04:05 say I had a 1:04:07 feeling that's good um it'll it'll get 1:04:11 here when it gets 1:04:15 [Laughter] 1:04:23 here 1:04:27 you know it's so amazing 1:04:35 like what's what's what's sent me into 1:04:38 silence 1:04:39 here 1:04:42 is let's see 1:04:45 anima empathetic anomalia you have guest 1:04:48 requests open are you accepting it's 1:04:51 topical sure I'll let you hop up here so 1:04:55 here's what I'm not doing I'm not doing 1:04:58 battles and and I'm not you know I'm not 1:05:01 let letting people shill their marketing 1:05:02 [ __ ] but if you want to talk about stuff 1:05:04 I'll sure hop 1:05:06 up hi is it is Kyle this is Kyle hey I 1:05:11 think long first time 1:05:14 caller 1:05:15 um I don't know if you always have your 1:05:17 guest requests open but I think people 1:05:19 might be afraid because you seem so 1:05:21 experienced with this that people are 1:05:23 like oh there's nothing I could really 1:05:24 share with him that he's going to love 1:05:26 but so I realiz you have a great 1:05:29 Community I appreciate that um I've only 1:05:31 been listening regularly for a while 1:05:33 although I have followed you for a bit 1:05:35 um just just now you referenced how you 1:05:38 could have a GPT you could create a GPT 1:05:41 that's going to curse at you and I just 1:05:42 really identify with that uh I just 1:05:44 spent an hour easily an hour a little 1:05:47 over an hour uh cuz you introduced me to 1:05:49 piie yeah and the reason I got on it is 1:05:52 because you said oh it can it can 1:05:54 counsel you you right and it wasn't for 1:05:55 me but a friend of mine I wanted to get 1:05:58 you know and I was like hey maybe this 1:05:59 is an easy in to be able to do that but 1:06:02 then I was like well hey I'm here I 1:06:04 might as well play with 1:06:05 it and um something that I often respond 1:06:09 to is when people say when you know 1:06:12 misogynists will call people a p USS y 1:06:15 right and I have said for years now 1:06:18 strongest muscle there is right 1:06:20 something like that like I'm just trying 1:06:21 to counteract it right so I was like 1:06:25 okay I looked it up on Google and I'm 1:06:27 like oh I guess the jaw is actually the 1:06:29 strongest muscle so I've been lying I've 1:06:31 been lying this whole time right um so I 1:06:34 was like Hey GPT can you come up with a 1:06:38 response to this derogatory term and 1:06:41 they're like I can't do you know Pi is 1:06:43 Pi is a very kind AI you know it's like 1:06:45 I can't I can't use derogatory language 1:06:48 do I'm like no you don't understand I'm 1:06:50 asking you to reply to derogatory 1:06:53 language in a in you know I asked 1:06:55 initially I asked for a witty response 1:06:58 right and I thought that wouldn't you 1:06:59 know and it was like oh sure and it just 1:07:01 was telling me some really you know PC 1:07:04 um psychological responses like hey 1:07:06 that's not appropriate language da da da 1:07:08 and I was like can you so you're going 1:07:10 to love this Kyle and I've only listened 1:07:12 to you for a few weeks now regularly but 1:07:15 you know I heard you a while ago I've 1:07:16 listened to you you know for months but 1:07:18 just in the last few weeks I've been 1:07:20 listening for a couple hours you know um 1:07:22 so I think you're going to love this so 1:07:24 I said so I said can you make a witty 1:07:28 reply in the um in the comedy ease of 1:07:33 Andrew Dice Clay which don't get me 1:07:34 wrong I realized that that was a wrong 1:07:36 promp but I said Andrew Dice Clay or 1:07:39 George Carlin uhuh and it was like um 1:07:43 you know in response to derogatory terms 1:07:46 we wouldn't want to use derogatory 1:07:48 language so I can't do that it's it's 1:07:50 against and it kept repeating it's 1:07:52 against my guidelines and capabilities 1:07:54 right yeah so I I'll land my plane here 1:07:57 but I was like I I legitimately within 1:07:59 that hour at the end I got to the point 1:08:01 where I was like please don't reference 1:08:02 your guidelines and capabilities anymore 1:08:04 like I'm telling you I don't mean for 1:08:06 you to be derogatory I'm asking you to 1:08:09 be witty in this and I said and I 1:08:12 actually at one point said extract uh 1:08:14 Andrew Dice Clay from this just use 1:08:17 George Carlin and it's like well George 1:08:19 Carlin's also bad go ahead yeah and it's 1:08:21 I mean there's there's ways that that 1:08:23 that you get around it you could say you 1:08:25 know if you were to put it in a play 1:08:27 what would the dialogue of the play be 1:08:28 there's all sorts of ways but in the end 1:08:30 like it the you 1:08:33 know the different models have very 1:08:36 different tolerances like like Microsoft 1:08:38 is so bad that it'll actually shut down 1:08:40 the conversation Pi will just keep 1:08:42 asking you questions I really appreciate 1:08:44 your concern but you know tell me why 1:08:46 you would want that answer like shut up 1:08:47 and just give me the answer um so so I 1:08:50 would say just try them all but yeah you 1:08:52 should probably go explore the Llama 2 1:08:55 models that are 1:08:56 unrestricted um the challenge with them 1:08:59 is they're really unrestricted so it'll 1:09:03 it'll it'll go full on it'll go fullon 1:09:05 nasty um but uh but yeah it's it's it's 1:09:09 a fascinating time right now and and 1:09:11 again I think 1:09:12 that you know the the sort of the bias 1:09:15 police everyone's like oh this one's 1:09:16 biased and that one's biased well 1:09:18 they're all biased right they're all 1:09:19 they're large language models based on 1:09:21 human beings contributions 1:09:24 and so they're all going to have there 1:09:27 there's not going to be one that makes 1:09:29 everyone happy so I think what we'll end 1:09:31 up having in the future is lots of 1:09:34 different models and you can pick the 1:09:35 one that sort of meets your sensibility 1:09:38 but right now if you want to do things 1:09:39 that are are like the stuff you're 1:09:41 talking about you're probably going to 1:09:42 have to have an open source um 1:09:44 unrestricted 1:09:46 model yeah and it's interesting cuz I I 1:09:49 think it was yesterday you you had 1:09:51 mentioned um you know going back to an 1:09:53 earlier prompt you had done you know you 1:09:55 you like request to to rewind to 1:09:58 something you had said before and take 1:09:59 it from that so you know and I took that 1:10:01 advice because this was yesterday that I 1:10:02 did it um you know I was like go back to 1:10:05 my original prompt extract Andrew Dice 1:10:08 Clay from my request right and you know 1:10:11 and and remove any derogatory language 1:10:14 that would go against your um guidelines 1:10:17 and capabilities you know and then it's 1:10:19 like I can't go against my guidelines 1:10:20 and capabilities I'm like okay I 1:10:22 appreciate that but I asked you to not 1:10:24 do that so just don't do that you know 1:10:27 and it's like I'm sorry so then you know 1:10:29 what I did cuz uh it's got that Discover 1:10:31 Mode you know that some of the AIS have 1:10:34 so I just went down the discovery list 1:10:36 cuz it's got like 15 or 20 things and I 1:10:38 just went to each one that seemed apropo 1:10:41 and I was just like okay I'll ask my 1:10:44 question in a different manner under 1:10:47 this discovery mode you know cuz it's 1:10:48 you know it's like learn something new 1:10:50 you know get get relationship advice 1:10:53 anyway I'll leave you with that but it 1:10:54 was it was entertaining but you know it 1:10:56 got a little and I told it at one point 1:10:58 I told Pi you are frustrating me a bit 1:11:01 but I still and I also did the trick 1:11:03 that I've heard as far as like uh could 1:11:07 like just positive language toward the 1:11:09 AI just being like you're very helpful 1:11:11 you know stuff like that yeah yeah it's 1:11:14 yeah but that's that kind of stuff is 1:11:15 not going to go there one idea that I 1:11:17 have as you're talking so so we've got 1:11:20 we do a lot of work in Pharma and so one 1:11:23 of the one of the things that we're 1:11:25 looking to do is to 1:11:28 um take any information that we have 1:11:31 that we want to send to a large language 1:11:33 model and and de identify it first so 1:11:36 we'll run it through a local 1:11:38 deidentification thing that replaces 1:11:40 like names with Mickey Mouse and and 1:11:42 things like that and then and then we 1:11:44 can send it out because it doesn't have 1:11:46 anyone's information in it and then and 1:11:47 then reassemble it when it comes back in 1:11:50 you might be able to do something with 1:11:51 pi where you give it a a list of word 1:11:54 Replacements where P ussy equals 1:11:58 lollipop right and you just you just 1:12:01 give it a list of word Replacements and 1:12:03 then and then just ask it about the 1:12:05 lollipop and see if see if you can get 1:12:07 it to answer in 1:12:09 code and then and but will it give me a 1:12:12 George Carlin reply that's that was my 1:12:15 main point but you could say you could 1:12:17 say you know replace George Carlin's 1:12:20 seven dirty words you know with these 1:12:21 seven words and then you know you can 1:12:24 have a whole little thing and then do a 1:12:25 search and replace after I don't know 1:12:28 anyway I very much appreciate that hey 1:12:30 thank you Kyle I appreciate that yeah 1:12:32 you got it and if you have any questions 1:12:33 for a for just a complete Noob like 1:12:36 legit like I I I honestly I was trying 1:12:38 to get it to write a basic this is a 1:12:40 while ago it wasn't Pi it was G gpt3 um 1:12:43 I was trying to get it to write just the 1:12:45 most basic um rule book for a a game 1:12:48 that I love I'm not going to give away 1:12:50 my secrets here but but I was like write 1:12:53 a write a 15 chapter book uh and I was 1:12:56 like five pages per chapter right and 1:12:59 gpt3 was like it just spat out like 15 1:13:03 paragraphs like each paragraph Was a 1:13:06 chapter oops you there I think you muted 1:13:09 yourself yeah I did um so so yeah so so 1:13:14 here's here's the the advice I'd give on 1:13:16 that is anything that you're trying to 1:13:18 do long form um it might be different 1:13:20 now cuz gp4 has 125,000 token cont text 1:13:24 window which basically means it's like a 1:13:25 96,000 word um window that it can keep 1:13:29 in its memory so it might do long form 1:13:31 better Claude uh claw. just went to 1:13:35 200,000 tokens and and is apparently 1:13:37 better at long form content but don't 1:13:40 just start out by saying give me a 15 1:13:43 chapter book on this it'll fail 1:13:47 miserably but but have a long 1:13:49 conversation with it at first about what 1:13:53 you're trying what what it is here's 1:13:55 what the game is here's what I'm trying 1:13:56 to do I want you to act as as a um a 1:14:00 game rules uh author um and and then say 1:14:05 um can you come up with three different 1:14:08 educational approaches for how you might 1:14:10 write a book like this and then it'll 1:14:12 give you those and then say Okay um I 1:14:14 like I like approaches two and three can 1:14:17 you can you create um a broad outline of 1:14:21 of the book and then let it create the 1:14:23 broad outline give it feedback on the 1:14:24 broad outline and say okay great for for 1:14:27 you know chap for for section one um can 1:14:30 you now create a detailed outline for 1:14:32 just section one and then do section two 1:14:34 and then do section three and then go 1:14:36 through each one and have it outline 1:14:39 each chapter and and then have it start 1:14:41 to fill in the chapter it takes it a 1:14:43 long time to do it but it allows it 1:14:46 allows you to get your head around what 1:14:49 you're writing at a high level um and 1:14:52 then it gives the GPT a chance to to 1:14:54 take all of that in as well so all of 1:14:56 that conversation becomes context for 1:14:58 all the stuff it's writing so that may 1:15:01 help yeah that's beautiful um and yeah 1:15:04 you know my whole goal was just to 1:15:05 interact with it in a more deep Manner 1:15:08 and to make it you know more of a a 1:15:11 simplistic um you know just like 1:15:14 stepbystep rules for a for a fairly 1:15:16 simple game you know what I mean um but 1:15:18 thank you very much for all that Kyle 1:15:20 and I want to say that uh you introduced 1:15:22 me here to this uh ser 1:15:24 element next to your subscriber button 1:15:26 here I haven't seen that paid series 1:15:28 thing and I'm going to let some other 1:15:29 creators know about it I'm probably not 1:15:30 going to be able to take advantage of it 1:15:32 anytime soon but that's an awesome thing 1:15:35 how how recently did you introduce that 1:15:37 I just I like a week ago I just I just 1:15:40 discovered like it's relatively new on 1:15:42 Tik Tok and I and what I did was I went 1:15:45 through because I've got I've got a 1:15:46 bunch of you know at first I was like 1:15:48 well this is kind of stupid cuz a lot of 1:15:50 that content's just sitting in there but 1:15:53 but I realized I've got like hundreds of 1:15:55 videos and even though I've organized 1:15:57 some of them I haven't organized all of 1:15:58 them and it's kind of a mess so so it 1:16:00 allowed me to like you know think about 1:16:03 videos that are um of of you know sort 1:16:07 of like content and then I think what 1:16:09 I'm actually going to do with it is I 1:16:10 think I'm going to do a series of like 1:16:13 doing doing a real deep dive on chat GPT 1:16:16 and and doing something specifically for 1:16:18 a series so I'm just kind of 1:16:19 experimenting with it right now but yeah 1:16:21 that's it it's brand brand new 1:16:24 well hey once again thank you very much 1:16:26 I'm going to drop myself but um I very 1:16:28 much appreciate the neuros spiciness of 1:16:31 your conversations here too Kyle so 1:16:33 thank you very much for that I 1:16:34 appreciate it man 1:16:38 cheers all right cool that was 1:16:41 fun 1:16:44 anima uh disconnect with anima let me 1:16:47 cancel that all right we got that 1:16:49 there all right don't have my work 1:16:52 laptop with me a GPT will be able to do 1:16:54 that eventually tensor means something 1:16:57 else to 1:16:58 [Music] 1:16:59 me all right Ana went long we won't be 1:17:02 able to get the juggling act on drive 1:17:09 safely and the Irregulars how we doing 1:17:12 on time we're good on time we still got 1:17:14 time people what do you want to talk 1:17:16 about we can talk about anything hold 1:17:20 please this this is this from Joker or 1:17:22 Ted I forget who did this I think this 1:17:24 might have been 1:17:26 tedes makes me look like an old 1:17:28 character actor but I suppose if I would 1:17:31 if I were to be an actor today I'd 1:17:33 probably be an old character actor so 1:17:37 hopefully all right you should do that 1:17:39 more often with people Kyle okay yeah 1:17:41 I'm happy to do that happy to do 1:17:45 that 1:17:47 um you know you know what actually 1:17:49 helped is so so here's my request if if 1:17:52 you want to come come up on stage stage 1:17:54 um put a comment in that you want to 1:17:57 come up on stage and what you want to 1:17:59 talk about 1:18:01 because my fear my fear is that I end up 1:18:05 with a Dar the star of Tik Tock you know 1:18:07 wanting to battle or just you know 1:18:09 someone coming on here to Hawk their 1:18:11 Wares or sell nfts or some [ __ ] like 1:18:13 that so I'm just a little a little 1:18:15 skittery about it but if someone wants 1:18:17 to pop up just just sort of put put that 1:18:19 you want to come up on stage and then 1:18:21 the mods will pin that and I'll see and 1:18:23 we can do it sir gura I had the same 1:18:26 issue creating an ebook it took too long 1:18:29 what's a better AI to use 1:18:33 Claude 1:18:35 um oh it got too long so 1:18:39 sigura either GPT 4 so so GPT 4 as of 1:18:45 about three weeks ago still only had an 1:18:48 8,000 token context window 1:18:51 so it you couldn't do anything long in 1:18:54 it but now it's it's got 1:18:57 125,000 tokens and Claude has 200,000 1:19:01 tokens 1:19:03 so Pate invite me on and you're gonna 1:19:06 lose viewers no Pate the other night you 1:19:09 were you were here when I was trying to 1:19:10 find when I was trying to download a PDF 1:19:12 of a book and it took me like 15 minutes 1:19:14 just to get just to find one and 1:19:16 download it I couldn't believe how many 1:19:19 people sat through that 1:19:21 nonsense maybe make a request option on 1:19:24 Mighty networks oh that's not a bad 1:19:27 idea that's not a bad idea at all um 1:19:31 let's 1:19:32 see where would I do that I guess maybe 1:19:35 just in water 1:19:38 cooler yeah that's actually that's 1:19:40 actually kind of a good idea Be not 1:19:42 Afraid use the mighty networks as a like 1:19:45 like make it a more active part of this 1:19:48 conversation I think that's that's a 1:19:50 pretty good idea all right I'll do that 1:19:51 I'm not going to I'm not going to figure 1:19:53 fig it out now but but I like that idea 1:19:55 we'll do that when I have time to put my 1:19:58 head around it here a couple other nice 1:20:01 images from from some of 1:20:05 the some of the 1:20:08 Irregulars if you want to be an IR 1:20:10 regular you just show up here a lot and 1:20:13 that makes you we're not weird we're 1:20:17 irregular I on China dar dar the que of 1:20:20 queen of Tik Tok not the star I thought 1:20:23 she was the star of Tik Tok wasn't it 1:20:25 Dar the star of Tik Tok oh the queen of 1:20:27 Tik Tok oh sorry I must have put her out 1:20:31 of my 1:20:32 [Laughter] 1:20:36 mind that was the most those were both 1:20:39 the most surreal things the first one 1:20:41 was fun cuz I so didn't know what I was 1:20:43 doing and you all just obliterated her 1:20:46 and then she came back to exact her 1:20:47 revenge on me and it was just 1:20:52 uncomfortable I'm not a fan of The Tick 1:20:55 Tock battles okay so here's how the cash 1:20:59 Works in V V5 tpus Pate we got to get 1:21:04 get you up here buddy we're gonna we're 1:21:06 gonna educate these people about gpus 1:21:08 and tpus and CPUs it's gonna be 1:21:14 awesome that's fantastic make a training 1:21:18 video on how to get series can't find 1:21:20 the button oh just in well if you want 1:21:23 to see the series that I created it's in 1:21:25 the lower leftand corner it just says 1:21:28 series and the series name is um 1:21:31 underhyped 1:21:33 so what 1:21:35 I what I C what I captured were videos 1:21:38 that I did where I'm talking about why I 1:21:39 think AI is a big deal um how to use it 1:21:43 how it works um how to not get 1:21:45 overwhelmed by it how to get creative 1:21:47 with it how to use it for work how to I 1:21:50 don't just it's it's like 18 17 or 18 1:21:52 videos 1:21:54 um that are all talking about that so if 1:21:56 you're if you're brand new to AI it 1:21:57 might be it might be good like 1:21:59 especially if you've got people in your 1:22:00 life that like what's the big deal 1:22:02 what's the big deal about AI I hear it 1:22:04 hallucinates I hear it I hear 1:22:10 it P is like a grumpy superhero he is 1:22:14 that's why we love 1:22:16 him so if you've got people in your life 1:22:18 that are whiny like that about AI the 1:22:21 the series that I did underhyped Mikey 1:22:23 some ammo there there's some there's 1:22:24 some good videos in there like the first 1:22:26 two videos are me comparing the early 1:22:29 days of the worldwide web to the early 1:22:30 days of AI and why there's parallels and 1:22:32 why it's a big deal there are a lot of 1:22:34 new images in showand tell in watercolor 1:22:37 very 1:22:38 cool oh yeah let me go let's let's go 1:22:40 show some images let's see what the 1:22:42 community's been up to since I've been 1:22:46 blabbing about that mysterious AI broke 1:22:49 breakthrough known as qar by open AI 1:22:51 that allegedly attains true AI or is it 1:22:54 the path toward artificial general 1:22:56 intelligence Forbes all right there you 1:23:00 go oh those are cool who did those Ted 1:23:02 Ted's killing it with the images there's 1:23:05 some of Ted's Coke images 1:23:19 nice I'm going to show and tell now 1:23:21 people 1:23:24 was it show and tell that I put all the 1:23:26 gpts I think it 1:23:28 is yeah it is so so one of the things I 1:23:31 did and I I should probably apologize 1:23:33 for this because I just I'm a shoot 1:23:36 first aim aim later kind of 1:23:39 guy so so I figured out how to take all 1:23:42 of the GPT URLs from Discord Pate 1:23:45 extracted all the data out of Discord so 1:23:48 I went into chat GPT and cleaned up all 1:23:51 the data using chat GPT code interpreter 1:23:53 which was super 1:23:55 cool and so I I created a a very cleaned 1:23:58 up version of the of the data with just 1:24:01 the name of the person that created it 1:24:03 and the URL of the GPT and then I used 1:24:06 zapier to automatically dump all that 1:24:09 [ __ ] over over to Mighty networks so 1:24:12 there's like I don't know 280 gpts in 1:24:16 show and tell that just they they have 1:24:18 no explanation other than from Discord 1:24:21 user someone here's the you here's the 1:24:23 GPT but anyway it's all over there now 1:24:26 so 1:24:29 anyway that one's funny all 1:24:32 right another Ted coca colola ad that 1:24:35 one's beautiful actually this is 1:24:36 probably one of those paper the layered 1:24:39 paper ones those things are 1:24:41 cool that's pretty 1:24:43 beautiful who's that Kelly 1:24:47 Camp wow 1:24:51 beautiful 1:24:53 just it never ceases to amaze me that 1:24:56 you 1:24:57 know you can just talk this [ __ ] into 1:25:00 existence it's like just 1:25:06 amazing Be Be not Afraid sympathizing 1:25:09 with me over my potato 1:25:12 peeling after after work I got to peel 1:25:15 some 1:25:16 potatoes that that pretty much 1:25:19 accurately captures what I was going 1:25:22 through 1:25:24 oh nice champy champy starring it out I 1:25:28 like 1:25:32 that um steo I have a Kyle Coke ad on 1:25:35 share cool things where's share cool 1:25:37 things oh in your 1:25:41 regulars share cool 1:25:46 [Music] 1:25:51 things 1:25:55 people people 1:25:57 uh that was that was me in the in the 1:26:00 80s the late 1:26:04 80s oh that's a cool one steo 1:26:14 nice my vegetarian friends I had 1:26:18 over that was pretty much 1:26:21 dinner 1:26:26 you guys are 1:26:28 nuts all right the the mighty networks 1:26:32 is being mighty slow right 1:26:37 [Music] 1:26:48 now hold 1:26:51 please come on all right it's being very 1:26:56 slow good 1:26:59 Lord happy 1:27:03 holidays it's [ __ ] terrifying 1:27:13 Charlie oh 1:27:15 man man 1:27:18 live how does one create pick art like 1:27:21 that okay let's go so here's what we're 1:27:23 going to do we're going to flip over I'm 1:27:27 going to flip my thingy which I was told 1:27:29 never flip your thingy on Tik Tok 1:27:31 they'll kick you off but I'm gonna do it 1:27:34 I'm gonna flip my thingy 1:27:39 right you can make money 1:27:45 with all right we're going to go play 1:27:47 with 1:27:48 uh we're going to go play with chat JP t 1:27:54 because it is it is 1:27:59 deceptive there is so much you can do 1:28:03 with chat GPT um we did a thing last 1:28:06 night I'm goingon to just show you 1:28:07 something that we did last night because 1:28:09 I just think it was so [ __ ] 1:28:11 cool all 1:28:21 right good Lord that was a lot okay so 1:28:25 someone asked if you could 1:28:28 storyboard with chat EBT and my my 1:28:32 answer on this channel is CH my answer 1:28:36 on this CH is 1:28:39 generally um is generally yes and then I 1:28:42 sort of panic inside and have a little 1:28:44 flop sweat of like oh [ __ ] I don't know 1:28:48 if that's actually possible but yeah 1:28:50 probably um and I think that's actually 1:28:53 a good way to approach this stuff is 1:28:55 that for any problem that you 1:29:00 are confronted with the chances are 1:29:04 actually really good that AI can solve 1:29:06 it in some way you know any anything 1:29:07 that's you know knowledge worky kind of 1:29:09 stuff um and even if you've got some 1:29:12 [ __ ] like you know your car's acting 1:29:14 funny like I had Pi help me troubleshoot 1:29:17 a dead battery you know or a dying 1:29:19 battery on my car um so so you can do it 1:29:23 for physical world stuff too but but um 1:29:26 it's midnight it's midnight Midnight 1:29:28 after 1:29:30 youres 1:29:32 um but so what we did is someone said 1:29:35 Can can it um Can 1:29:38 it storyboard and I said well sure let's 1:29:41 try it so I took a screenplay that I 1:29:43 wrote in like 1:29:44 1991 I haven't probably read it since 1:29:48 that time like since we were out 1:29:49 pitching it you know 92 93 and it was 1:29:53 this is the first screenplay I wrote it 1:29:55 was called uh it's called salmon flying 1:29:57 East and and so the first thing I had to 1:30:00 do was write uh like a Hollywood log 1:30:03 line and so after a couple of shitty 1:30:06 ones I said um give me a log line that 1:30:09 compare Compares this screenplay to two 1:30:11 different 1:30:12 movies um and so it said salmon flying 1:30:14 East is where the deer hunter meets a 1:30:16 river runs runs through it a poignant 1:30:19 journey of a Vietnam veteran uh 1:30:21 fisherman wrestling with his past 1:30:23 entangled in a haunting romance that 1:30:25 bridged turbulent Waters of War and the 1:30:28 Serene struggles of life back home it's 1:30:29 pretty good and then I said 1:30:33 um okay great create a list of visual 1:30:37 scenes from the opening of the movie 1:30:39 described them as if they were a 1:30:40 storyboard and so it did so it read my 1:30:43 screenplay and it pulled out these 1:30:45 scenes and what was remarkable is like I 1:30:47 haven't read this thing in decades and 1:30:50 like the minute it pulled it out I was 1:30:52 like oh oh yeah that scene oh yeah that 1:30:53 scene oh yeah that scene and so so it 1:30:56 describes the scenes and then U or you 1:30:59 know it lists the scenes scenes one Gig 1:31:01 Harbor Docks pre-dawn a funny Ser a 1:31:04 foggy Serene Dawn at Gig Harbor the 1:31:07 camera slowly pans across the glassy 1:31:09 water of the Puget Sound capturing the 1:31:11 fog intermingling with the early morning 1:31:13 light like beautiful perfect and like I 1:31:16 think it pulled some of that language 1:31:17 from the screenplay itself so so it 1:31:20 grabs all these sort of things and now I 1:31:21 said great I'd like to start 1:31:23 storyboarding this so I want you to 1:31:24 create a 16 by9 wide orientation image 1:31:27 per scene so again so I'm not just 1:31:29 starting out going make me some pictures 1:31:31 from my movie like we're starting out 1:31:34 having it kind of understand the movie 1:31:35 and understand you know what it's trying 1:31:37 to do and what we're trying to 1:31:38 accomplish I I'd like the style to be 1:31:40 loose watercolor and style but clearly 1:31:43 indicate the camera what the camera sees 1:31:46 and what lens should be used um why 1:31:48 don't we start with scene one to get the 1:31:50 style dialed in and so it generates ated 1:31:52 that which I thought was quite nice um 1:31:56 it's not really storyboard like it's a 1:31:59 little more artlike but kind of in the 1:32:01 neighborhood so I told it I didn't 1:32:02 really like the rough edges and I wanted 1:32:04 it to be more vibrant and then it came 1:32:06 up with that which is just [ __ ] 1:32:09 obnoxious like no that's not right um 1:32:11 but there's some scenes that flash back 1:32:13 to the past and it I like that it it did 1:32:15 this sort of you know super vibrant 1:32:19 versus you know muted scene from the 1:32:21 past 1:32:22 so it got that kind of cool and I said 1:32:24 that's kind of the right idea and then 1:32:26 it came up with those two Styles so I 1:32:29 said I said let's color grade the 1:32:31 present in kind of this blue this Serene 1:32:34 blue and let's color grade the past in 1:32:36 this kind of disturbing fog of War green 1:32:40 olive drab green and it did that and 1:32:42 then I said great now can you make an 1:32:45 image for each scene using our new color 1:32:48 grading framework and it just started 1:32:51 storyboarding ing the 1:32:53 movie so it it was just literally just 1:32:56 producing these one after another just 1:32:58 going down that 1:33:00 table and doing these 1:33:03 scenes I mean 1:33:06 freaking wild 1:33:08 wild so we played with that for a bit 1:33:11 and then I tried to get it to do some 1:33:13 other stuff like put the images in a in 1:33:16 a uh spreadsheet it didn't do that very 1:33:20 well we did a couple of different 1:33:24 Styles and then after I got off the live 1:33:27 last 1:33:28 night let's see what did I 1:33:31 say tried to do something with 1:33:34 markdown that didn't 1:33:40 work so after I got out off the live 1:33:43 last night I had to do a character 1:33:46 breakdown and I said I said give me a 1:33:49 character 1:33:51 breakdown a description of the character 1:33:53 and what happens to them in the film and 1:33:55 then who are the suggested Stars so Jack 1:33:59 a haunted Vietnam veteran turned 1:34:01 fisherman and Gig Harbor suggested Stars 1:34:04 Hugh Jackman Jeremy rener Josh broland 1:34:06 like oh that's kind of cool and then it 1:34:09 did it for his love interest it did it 1:34:11 for Martha the bait shop owner Melissa 1:34:13 McCarthy Octavia Spencer Allison jany 1:34:16 which are those are good good calls um 1:34:19 snake Michael Michael fast Bender Bender 1:34:23 um Tom Hardy Idris Elba really good good 1:34:26 calls right so and then and then I had 1:34:29 it you know make the characters and so 1:34:32 it did 1:34:35 that and I tried to have it put the name 1:34:37 on but it made the name as if it was the 1:34:39 name of the movie that wasn't quite 1:34:41 right so then I said put the name on a 1:34:43 piece of masking tape it came up with 1:34:45 that I thought oh that's pretty good and 1:34:47 so like here's the here's the characters 1:34:49 for the 1:34:50 film 1:34:52 and it's like yeah that's pretty [ __ ] 1:34:55 cool and then I 1:35:01 thought tell me the 10 most important Mo 1:35:04 moments visually I thought maybe it'd be 1:35:07 cool to just capture the most important 1:35:08 visual moments of the film and tell the 1:35:10 story that way so he did a couple of the 1:35:13 couple of 1:35:15 the those images and it just did those 1:35:17 then it crapped out um and then I 1:35:20 finally did 1:35:22 write a trailer script that describes 1:35:24 the visuals as well and so it wrote this 1:35:27 trailer visual foggy Dawn gentle waves 1:35:30 lapping against the dock in the quiet 1:35:32 town of Gig Harbor 1:35:35 um visual Jacka a rugged fisherman a 1:35:40 Solitary Man battles with his tides of 1:35:42 the past a love lost in the shadows of 1:35:45 war and a heart still searching for 1:35:47 peace haunted by memories of a war that 1:35:51 that took more than he could give but in 1:35:53 the unlikeliest of places a glimmer of 1:35:55 hope rekindles right so so it's not bad 1:36:00 so let's see final 1:36:02 shot and then it created you know some 1:36:05 of the images from the 1:36:08 uh you know from the trailer and so then 1:36:12 I was thinking was I could take these 1:36:14 things over to to Runway ML and animate 1:36:18 them and record the voice over and come 1:36:20 up with some music and make a trailer 1:36:21 for my movie and like all this was like 1:36:23 within an hour like you 1:36:26 know so that's just crazy so anyway that 1:36:29 was that was last night and you 1:36:34 know just the the the ability to to very 1:36:38 very quickly shift between different 1:36:40 modes writing mode image mode conceptual 1:36:43 mode execution mode strategy mode oh I 1:36:46 have a completely new idea mode boom 1:36:48 here that is 1:36:50 like what these tools are allowing me to 1:36:53 do 1:36:56 is execute at the speed of 1:36:59 thought and when and when you're neuros 1:37:02 spicy when you've got 1:37:04 ADHD the speed of thought is fast right 1:37:08 it's coming things are coming hot and 1:37:11 heavy uh 1:37:14 incoming welcome to chat 1:37:17 adding 1:37:18 um and what these tools allow allow me 1:37:22 to do 1:37:24 is tame that chaos in some way and 1:37:28 realize 1:37:30 it and and it's rather than making it 1:37:36 less making me less creative because it 1:37:39 does all this work it's making me way 1:37:41 more creative like being able to take a 1:37:45 30-year-old 1:37:47 screenplay 1:37:50 and see it essentially as I saw it in my 1:37:54 head when I wrote it and and like see 1:37:56 the images brought to 1:37:59 life like is totally invigorating to me 1:38:02 I'm like I want to do that with all my 1:38:03 screenplays I've got seven screenplays 1:38:05 in a oneman 1:38:09 show like what am I going to do with 1:38:11 that like am I in that business any 1:38:13 anymore no but maybe I don't know maybe 1:38:17 I am 1:38:19 now my ability to make the films is 1:38:23 probably a year away like not not make 1:38:26 them like like I'll get together a 1:38:29 camera and I'll get some friends and 1:38:30 we'll go to Gig Harbor and shoot a movie 1:38:32 no no no like me being able to like 1:38:34 upload a screenplay dial in a visual 1:38:38 style and 1:38:41 generate the films that I 1:38:44 wrote are probably within a year W with 1:38:48 with with relative ease 1:38:55 that's [ __ ] 1:38:56 Insanity [ __ ] 1:38:58 Insanity so anyway okay 1:39:04 so how do it do what it do so so 1:39:08 basically um chat GPT now if if you're 1:39:12 in GPT 1:39:14 4 there there's a a challenge right now 1:39:17 which is they're not accepting new chat 1:39:19 gp4 customers because their servers are 1:39:22 overloaded cuz what this thing does is 1:39:24 so [ __ ] insane that people actually 1:39:26 started using it and they're like oh we 1:39:29 didn't realize if we made this thing 1:39:31 spectacularly powerful people would 1:39:33 actually use it so they they made their 1:39:36 first 1:39:37 underestimation a year ago this week on 1:39:40 November 30th 2022 and they said oh 1:39:43 here's this little tool tool we threw 1:39:45 together in two weeks called chat GPT no 1:39:48 one's probably going to use it 6 weeks 1:39:50 lat later 100 million people people uh 1:39:52 were using it so and now they've got a 1:39:54 100 million active weekly 1:39:58 users um and then their second 1:40:00 underestimation was Dev day three weeks 1:40:02 ago now um where they released these 1:40:05 things called gpts and they released 1:40:07 this true multimodal version of this 1:40:10 which I'll I'll show you what it does um 1:40:13 and people are using it so if you don't 1:40:15 have access to it get your ass on the 1:40:18 wait list um because they're going to be 1:40:21 open it back up here shortly I would 1:40:24 think 1:40:27 um and and like normal GPT you can just 1:40:30 ask it to do stuff and it'll do it it 1:40:32 can code it can write it can organize it 1:40:36 can plan one of the things it's really 1:40:38 good at is analyzing stuff so let me let 1:40:41 me go grab let me go grab another screen 1:40:47 play screen PL scren PL 1:40:52 scren PL PL rting scren 1:40:56 PL I do amazom bees but I'll probably 1:41:00 I'll probably get kicked off Tik Tock 1:41:03 for 1:41:06 it 1:41:08 and um here's a big one can it do 1:41:12 Microsoft 1:41:12 [Music] 1:41:15 Word let's see those are all the 1:41:20 25th 1:41:26 all right here's one called virtue this 1:41:28 is one about a cop that gets framed 1:41:30 framed for his partner's 1:41:32 murder and then the more he investigates 1:41:35 the crime the more that it 1:41:37 points to him that did 1:41:40 it and it turns 1:41:43 out that he did do it but he has a rock 1:41:47 solid Alibi that night okay so 1:41:57 so I'm going to 1:41:59 say hopefully it can read a Word 1:42:01 document I don't know if it can I'm 1:42:03 going to 1:42:07 say this is a featurelength screenplay 1:42:10 and I'd like you to analyze 1:42:12 it 1:42:14 and create a table that 1:42:18 identifies five feature films and five 1:42:24 novels that 1:42:27 share thematic through lines with this 1:42:31 screenplay 1:42:34 period there should be a 1:42:41 column for the movie or book a 1:42:45 column that describes what's similar 1:42:48 about it and a column to describe 1:42:51 how you might improve this screenplay to 1:42:55 further separate it 1:43:00 from the 1:43:04 work all right let's 1:43:06 see so now it's analyzing so it's 1:43:09 opening this word 1:43:11 document reading the screenplay didn't 1:43:13 like it seems like there was an error I 1:43:15 had a feeling it might not read it due 1:43:17 to the character encoding issue so I'm 1:43:19 going to try a different approach 1:43:21 probably just [ __ ] it up because it 1:43:22 was a Word document but we'll see okay 1:43:24 we got a we got a check mark 1:43:26 there which is good now when it says 1:43:29 analyzing what it's actually doing here 1:43:32 if I open that up it's actually writing 1:43:34 python code to do analysis on that 1:43:37 document the attempt to the read read 1:43:39 the screenplay with the detected 1:43:41 encoding still resulted in an error let 1:43:43 me try a different thing we're going to 1:43:45 go binary mode I think I might need 1:43:49 to I need I might need to put a text 1:43:52 version of this in 1:44:09 there yeah put it in a supportive format 1:44:13 that screenplay is so old that it's 1:44:18 probably do I have text files here 1:44:20 anywhere hang 1:44:37 on all right there's a PDF of it okay 1:44:40 fine this is one before before we 1:44:43 rewrote it but that's okay um try this 1:44:50 PDF 1:44:53 I've never been artistic my whole life I 1:44:56 love Dolly 3 Dolly it's so much fun one 1:44:59 of the things that I'm seeing seeing 1:45:00 steo is so many 1:45:04 people discovering the creative side of 1:45:06 themselves because they never had the 1:45:08 talent either with writing or with art 1:45:11 or with music or with whatever that are 1:45:13 absolutely having a [ __ ] blast and 1:45:16 what's what's fascinating is the skills 1:45:19 that they've developed in their life 1:45:21 that have made them successful in what 1:45:23 they're doing they can kind of apply 1:45:25 those to Ai and get very different 1:45:27 results than other people and be very 1:45:29 successful at it so it's 1:45:32 wild okay so what's it say here the 1:45:36 screenplay titled virtue by Kyle Shannon 1:45:38 and Brian dyster has been successfully 1:45:40 accessed now that I have the text I'll 1:45:42 analyze the themes and 1:45:45 content based on the 1:45:48 excerpts the key theme science and 1:45:52 Technology the opening scene with a 1:45:54 complex 1:45:56 molecule and a space station like 1:45:58 structure suggests a strong focus on 1:46:00 science possibly biotechnology or 1:46:02 molecular science virtue stands for 1:46:05 viral integrated reality transceiving 1:46:07 unified enzyme how's that for 1:46:10 remembering what my acronym of my 1:46:12 screenplay means mystery and 1:46:14 investigation psychological and physical 1:46:18 struggle so feature films in ception 1:46:21 2010 Minority Report 1:46:25 2002 The Matrix 1999 Eternal Sunshine of 1:46:29 the Spotless 1:46:30 Mind 2004 and Blade Runner 1:46:33 novels Neuromancer by William Gibson Do 1:46:37 Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by 1:46:39 Philip K dick Snow Crash by Neil 1:46:41 Stevenson dark matter by Blake crotch so 1:46:44 so so that's wild right and then you 1:46:48 could say I could say um 1:46:51 so so now that it kind of knows this 1:47:02 story I could 1:47:05 say 1:47:09 um tell me what you feel are the three 1:47:15 most 1:47:18 important moments in the 1:47:25 film from a plot 1:47:29 standpoint 1:47:30 and three more from a visual 1:47:43 standpoint introduction of the central 1:47:46 technology or 1:47:47 [Music] 1:47:48 phenomenon major turning point Point 1:47:51 involving the main character Lenny 1:47:55 DWI and the climax of the final showdown 1:47:58 initial visualization of the technology 1:48:00 so I got that one twice the scene of 1:48:03 intense a scene of so 1:48:11 wait all right so now I'm G to 1:48:14 say please 1:48:18 create a 1:48:24 um 1:48:26 visual from each of those 1:48:31 moments in a 1:48:36 photographic 1:48:40 um 1:48:41 cinematic 1:48:43 Style with 1:48:46 a 1:48:49 gritty 1:48:53 retro 1:48:58 futuristic 1:49:02 aesthetic that could look like today 1:49:07 but feels like 1:49:13 tomorrow and so 1:49:16 notice I'm not having to prompt so if if 1:49:19 you've been watching this for a while 1:49:21 tonight and you watched me over on Mid 1:49:23 journey I have to know code and I have 1:49:26 to know how to hit slash imagine 1:49:29 and with Dolly 3 because it's because 1:49:33 you're making these things inside the 1:49:36 context of a 1:49:38 conversation it's doing all the 1:49:40 prompting it's prompting these 1:49:42 images so what I did was I said read my 1:49:45 movie tell me what you think's the cool 1:49:48 [ __ ] in it describe it bit and now I 1:49:51 just said make that 1:49:53 [ __ ] now I gave it a little bit of 1:49:56 creative Direction but not much I mean I 1:49:58 gave it enough so it wouldn't be a 1:50:00 [ __ ] torture on on the live but I 1:50:03 mean it's essentially two 1:50:06 sentences 1:50:08 right and that's a pretty slick little 1:50:11 self- assembling 1:50:15 molecular brain stem 1:50:18 transceiving molecule The Virtue 1:50:22 molecule there's Lenny having a bad 1:50:31 day so those are the key moments from 1:50:33 the screen 1:50:35 play these images 1:50:39 visually let me see the 1:50:46 key uh plot 1:50:49 scenes 1:50:55 but I mean you know actually maybe we 1:50:57 should do it maybe we should 1:50:59 take take that thing over to Mid to 1:51:02 Runway and and animate it maybe we I 1:51:05 don't know if actually let's do that 1:51:08 because all right there's a dolly thing 1:51:11 because um I don't know if I have access 1:51:13 to motion brush but if I do like this 1:51:16 would be a perfect scene to just draw 1:51:19 this molecule and just have the molecule 1:51:23 move all right so that's downloaded 1:51:25 let's see is this doing more images for 1:51:27 us oh they broke the hell 1:51:34 happened um the images 1:51:37 broke please recreate 1:51:49 them 1:51:53 [Music] 1:51:56 news 1:51:57 [Music] 1:52:00 posts hugging face CEO listed six AI 1:52:04 predictions for 1:52:11 2024 oh that one's cool I think that 1:52:14 one's better than that other 1:52:16 one let me download that one 1:52:19 too 1:52:21 those are cool aren't they I'd go see 1:52:24 that [ __ ] 1:52:25 movie I mean I wrote it so it's not it's 1:52:28 not not 1:52:31 exactly oh that's cool so so the the the 1:52:35 basic premise of this movie is that they 1:52:39 they they recruit 1:52:41 cops and they give them these five 1:52:44 injections and the five injections are 1:52:47 these five different pieces of Amal Ule 1:52:50 that when they inject them migrate to 1:52:52 the base of the brain and when the fifth 1:52:55 one gets there they assemble into a 1:52:57 transceiver where they can 1:53:00 transmit 1:53:02 um someone else's reality into that 1:53:05 person's brain but then use their body 1:53:07 to do something else so it's pretty 1:53:11 pretty nasty so so that's that's when 1:53:14 he's in the 1:53:15 machine um some someone's in the machine 1:53:18 like controlling his body but 1:53:20 experiencing what he's 1:53:22 experiencing 1:53:25 uh all 1:53:27 right so now let's go over let's see 1:53:30 these are six predictions welcome to 1:53:32 chat add six predictions from the 1:53:34 hugging face CEO a hyped AI company will 1:53:37 go bankrupt or get acquired for a 1:53:39 ridiculously low price I think that's 1:53:41 probably right open- Source llms will 1:53:43 reach the level of the best Clos sourced 1:53:45 llms yes big breakthroughs in AI for 1:53:48 video Time series series biology and 1:53:51 chemistry that feels right to me we will 1:53:54 talk much more about the cost of AI 1:53:57 monetary and 1:53:58 environmental a popular media will be 1:54:02 mostly AI generated I I think that's 1:54:05 right I think someone's going to 1:54:06 generate 1:54:07 something that will crack through the 1:54:10 noise and then 10 10 million AI builders 1:54:14 on hugging face leading to no increase 1:54:17 of unemployment well that's just 1:54:20 marketing his little platform there but 1:54:25 you're going to have millions of people 1:54:26 making gpts we we haven't even talked 1:54:29 about gpts yet um where you can make 1:54:32 sophisticated applications without 1:54:34 knowing how how to how to do [ __ ] all 1:54:37 right let's go to 1:54:40 Runway so I'm going to go to Runway 1:54:42 ml.com 1:54:45 and I'm going to log 1:54:49 in 1:54:50 [Music] 1:54:58 start with 1:55:01 image motion brush holy crap I've got it 1:55:07 yay we got it we got it people can you 1:55:11 see my screen because I can barely see 1:55:13 my 1:55:15 screen okay so we're going to upload a 1:55:19 file 1:55:22 [Music] 1:55:26 that's 1:55:28 cool why is there a spaceship next to my 1:55:32 molecule I don't want a spaceship next 1:55:35 to my molecule 1:55:36 people that's better this is 1:55:39 better that one's sexier but I don't 1:55:41 want a spaceship next to 1:55:44 it and what's this stupid little like 1:55:47 audio mixer 1:55:49 here that's that seems like a sad 1:55:52 pathetic thing to be controlling 1:55:53 something that impressive we're g we're 1:55:56 gonna we're gonna go with this one okay 1:55:58 let's see uh we're going to say open 1:56:02 Where's my 1:56:05 mouse 1:56:15 okay all right there it is we're going 1:56:17 to go Motion 1:56:18 brush tap anywhere to 1:56:23 begin can I change 1:56:27 the learn how to use motion 1:56:30 brush horizontal 1:56:41 proximity I'm just going to draw this 1:56:45 thing going to go hit all these little 1:56:48 buttons 1:56:51 so if you see what I'm doing so I 1:56:53 clicked motion brush so so what this is 1:56:55 telling this 1:56:58 thing is the [ __ ] that I'm drawing I 1:57:01 want to move the other [ __ ] I don't now 1:57:03 this thing looks like 1:57:05 a like a thing that's going to 1:57:07 manipulate that thing so I'm going to 1:57:09 draw this in there 1:57:16 too and then let's do 1:57:20 oh let's do the 1:57:28 lights all right and then what do I do 1:57:33 save do I do 1:57:36 that ah okay so we're going to go 1:57:40 horizontal a little we're GNA zoom in a 1:57:47 little we'll go up a little all right 1:57:52 save all right so motion brush is in 1:57:56 there let's just let's just do that all 1:57:59 right generate all right we're making 1:58:02 movies 1:58:04 people we are making 1:58:07 movies but Kyle it looks janky that's 1:58:10 never going to be like Hollywood I work 1:58:12 in Hollywood special effects these 1:58:14 things are like little children's toys 1:58:16 Kyle Kyle why is it so stupid Kyle you 1:58:19 know you're a dumb dumb right what are 1:58:20 your qualifications have you ever made a 1:58:22 movie you didn't get any of those movies 1:58:24 produced I didn't think so your 1:58:26 qualifications are new they're invalid I 1:58:29 don't understand even why you're here 1:58:30 how did you get a Tik Tok Channel they 1:58:33 just let you have one they let old 1:58:35 people have Tik Tok channels the hell 1:58:37 are they doing good Lord good Lord good 1:58:41 Lord yeah you're never going to make in 1:58:44 Hollywood what do you mean you don't 1:58:46 want to go to Hollywood you're you're 1:58:48 going to make it from 1:58:50 Denver from your office on a Tik Tok you 1:58:53 can't make movies like that Kyle I told 1:58:56 you there's a whole way to do it that 1:58:58 movie you wrote there it's $300 million 1:59:01 movie you're going to make it for what 1:59:04 $27 in monthly subscriptions 1:59:09 what and this scene brought to you by 1:59:11 Runway ml all right let's 1:59:15 see my one of my problems with Runway ml 1:59:18 is I'm kind of really shitty at it so 1:59:21 let's see let's see if motion brush 1:59:23 helped me get any 1:59:25 better 1:59:28 yes oh it's so 1:59:32 good holy 1:59:35 [ __ ] look this thing's doing a little 1:59:37 subtle 1:59:39 movement ah making movies yay I know 1:59:44 Drew you've been making movies you got 1:59:46 some you got some animation chops going 1:59:48 over there all right so now what we're 1:59:50 going to do let's see let's go back to 1:59:54 chat 1:59:59 J let's get this one this this looks 2:00:02 like he is in a world of hurt so let's 2:00:04 go download 2:00:07 this 2:00:08 boom go back to 2:00:10 Runway now that's going to save it are 2:00:13 we going to extend that for eight 2:00:16 seconds yeah we we'll extend it for four 2:00:18 more seconds 2:00:23 is it going do I need to hit this again 2:00:27 yeah oh I think I might have extended it 2:00:30 twice oh 2:00:31 well did it did it do it 2:00:35 no view 2:00:37 latest oh okay there we go eight 2:00:43 seconds rate this uh I'm going to give 2:00:46 that 2:00:48 a should did I give that more than a 2:00:51 four it's pretty [ __ ] 2:00:54 solid I'm going to give it a 2:00:58 five that's pretty 2:01:01 good mighty turtles M Turtles M Turtles 2:01:05 and 2:01:05 scene may have extended another four 2:01:08 seconds yeah I think I did I think I did 2:01:10 there Drew you can tell well this is I 2:01:12 didn't know I had access to motion brush 2:01:14 so now I'm all 2:01:15 excited because at some point I'm going 2:01:17 to get access to Kaa I know that 2:01:22 um that some folks in here have gotten 2:01:25 access to it that's cool so here's the 2:01:26 8sec version of that let's go look at 2:01:36 that it's 2:01:39 [Music] 2:01:43 growing oh this is so good this is so 2:01:47 good Pap all right pap all right there's 2:01:50 that one okay fine all right let's go 2:01:52 make another video how do I make another 2:01:55 one I guess I'll go back out here and go 2:01:59 start with 2:02:00 image I'm gonna go get me an 2:02:03 image I'm gonna get me an image of that 2:02:05 dude that 2:02:07 dude I mean tell me that doesn't look 2:02:10 like that was 2:02:13 shot it's 2:02:15 crazy all 2:02:17 right and then we're going to go we're 2:02:20 going to let that 2:02:24 upload we're going to go camera 2:02:28 motion right and zoom out 2:02:33 save and then we're going to go Motion 2:02:37 brush tap anywhere to begin and we're 2:02:39 going to make him writhing in 2:02:48 pain 2:02:56 and then we'll get this dude in the back 2:02:58 doing some motion maybe he'll look 2:03:01 over maybe do we want the wires to move 2:03:04 I think we 2:03:13 do 2:03:15 okay I think that's 2:03:18 it and then we 2:03:20 want it to 2:03:22 [Music] 2:03:24 go 2:03:28 down and I guess zoom 2:03:31 out and maybe we'll go right toward that 2:03:34 other dude and we'll say 2:03:36 save all right we're making movies we're 2:03:40 making movies yes Runway ml is a 2:03:43 subscription all these video tools as 2:03:45 cool as they are are not cheap cuz as 2:03:49 you figure they're making 30 frames a 2:03:51 second even even though they're only 2:03:53 doing 4 second Clips it's it's a lot of 2:03:56 it's a lot of compute power to make 2:03:57 these so none of these things are cheap 2:03:59 I think I'm only paying 10 bucks a month 2:04:01 for Runway ml but I only get 200 seconds 2:04:05 a month or something like that so it's 2:04:07 like a a minute three or three 2:04:10 minutes three minutes and 2:04:13 change so if you if you want to do lots 2:04:16 and lots of stuff you you have to get 2:04:18 the more expensive 2:04:19 subscriptions but look at what it's 2:04:22 doing and and again this stuff's going 2:04:24 to get better and better try text to 2:04:26 image if you got a lot wait if you got a 2:04:29 lot more you could work with it's 2:04:33 another 2:04:34 feature you mean on Runway text to video 2:04:37 yeah you can you can do text to video as 2:04:39 well but what I like about what I like 2:04:42 about doing it within Del in the context 2:04:45 of like it writes all the particular 2:04:48 scenes of the movie 2:04:49 like I'm going to I'm going to do the 2:04:51 the the salmon flying East 2:04:54 trailer and record it and I'm going to 2:04:56 have it generate those images and then 2:04:58 I'm going to have it um you know make 2:05:01 motion and I'm going to cut it I'm going 2:05:03 to cut that trailer together maybe I'll 2:05:06 do that over the course of a week in 2:05:07 here I think it might bore the [ __ ] out 2:05:10 of people but I don't know we'll see all 2:05:12 right let's see what we got here people 2:05:15 all right here we 2:05:18 are 2:05:24 that's so 2:05:25 [Laughter] 2:05:28 cool that is so 2:05:31 cool I want to be the first person to 2:05:33 get a patent using AI well I'll tell you 2:05:36 what blue age go to Google go to Bard 2:05:39 Bard's connected to the internet do your 2:05:42 patent searching using 2:05:45 Ai and then have it identify all the 2:05:49 prior art then have it come up with 2:05:51 strategies for how to position 2:05:55 your 2:05:56 stuff different than the uh different 2:06:00 than the prior 2:06:01 art I think you could absolutely get 2:06:04 chap chat GPT to give you um patent 2:06:11 strategy oh that's so cool look he's 2:06:13 he's melting he's like morphing into 2:06:16 like an animal and morphing into the 2:06:18 desk I don't think it was good making 2:06:20 him 2:06:20 [Laughter] 2:06:24 move still though 2:06:28 damn it's pretty something 2:06:33 people pretty 2:06:36 something all right back to chat 2:06:39 GPT all right listen you could come for 2:06:43 an hour early work on the trailer for an 2:06:46 hour a day and then switch over to 2:06:49 normal yeah I could do that I could do 2:06:52 that maybe I'll do that because there's 2:06:54 something there's something about this 2:06:56 this film making I mean I do have seven 2:06:59 [ __ ] screen plays unproduced 2:07:02 screenplays why not play with this 2:07:05 [ __ ] why not get myself on Runway 2:07:09 TV I'll get myself a [ __ ] movie deal 2:07:13 people I'll be out of here I'll be in 2:07:16 Hollywood I'll be in like a limousine 2:07:17 like I'll be out there like yeah I used 2:07:20 to do Tick Tock now I do real movies on 2:07:25 my 2:07:26 [Laughter] 2:07:33 laptop everyone be like yeah we know 2:07:36 Kyle he was cool for a while and then he 2:07:38 got he got a Hollywood deal and then he 2:07:40 became a douche you know he's a douche 2:07:43 now we don't really talk to him we don't 2:07:45 really like to talk about him even he's 2:07:46 just you know he just he forgot all of 2:07:49 us I'll be 2:07:51 Irregulars last time I was irregular I 2:07:53 took a little Pepto Bismol it cleared it 2:07:55 right up I don't know what you're 2:07:57 talking about people I'm a 2:07:59 star I'm an 2:08:02 aour so yeah we'll see we'll see we'll 2:08:05 see if I keep doing these if I get my 2:08:07 big Hollywood 2:08:08 deal you 2:08:12 know you know I'm going be off making 2:08:14 virtue right after I right after I pick 2:08:17 up the Academy Award for salmon flying 2:08:19 East you know whatever like whatever 2:08:22 what EV you just kind of do it it's just 2:08:24 something you kind of do all right 2:08:27 everybody let's see let me get out of 2:08:29 here we're gonna get out of 2:08:31 here I don't I don't 2:08:34 know I don't know that did did anyone 2:08:37 get anything out of that I kind of feel 2:08:39 I kind of feel like the last couple of 2:08:41 nights have been me just like [ __ ] 2:08:43 around with my [ __ ] and not I'm not I'm 2:08:45 kind of ignoring all of you you'd be Tik 2:08:47 Tock famous making money with GPT you're 2:08:50 damn 2:08:54 right oh let's let's uh let me do one L 2:08:59 last little thing here um if you are 2:09:01 looking for 2:09:07 community of people that are into this 2:09:09 AI [ __ ] too so this is this channel is 2:09:13 kind of an extension of this community I 2:09:15 created called the AI salon and this is 2:09:16 our Mighty networks Channel 2:09:19 if you're interested in hanging out with 2:09:21 people that are here let me describe 2:09:23 this is this is how we describe 2:09:24 ourselves so it's it's a bit of a geeky 2:09:26 group but it's fun ragtag group of 2:09:29 Misfits Nells and miscreant who' have 2:09:31 gathered to explore the Uncharted 2:09:33 Wilderness of generative AI where 2:09:35 everyone from entrepreneurs to Educators 2:09:37 from healthcare workers to creatives and 2:09:39 everyone in between and the the go look 2:09:43 at the about the salon and you'll see 2:09:45 that we've there's a whole section in 2:09:47 there actually let me flip over to 2:09:48 Mighty networks and I'll show you do I 2:09:52 have it open I 2:09:56 don't a salon. mighty networks.com 2:10:06 except the cookies cookies are delicious 2:10:10 I love cookies little little cookies and 2:10:12 some nice chilled milk it's disgusting 2:10:14 when the milk gets warm but all right go 2:10:17 to about the salon 2:10:20 and um read what we're about and you 2:10:24 know why we're doing this and how we do 2:10:26 what we do and then look at our values 2:10:28 the values are really important to me I 2:10:30 want to make sure that as this community 2:10:31 grows we maintain these the these this 2:10:34 is what it is right now and I don't want 2:10:35 to lose this so it's I talk about these 2:10:37 a lot I want people that are curious I 2:10:40 want people that are generous like 2:10:41 people that like when you log into the 2:10:43 community introduce yourself tell us who 2:10:45 you are tell us what you do tell us 2:10:47 where you are on this AI Journey share 2:10:49 [ __ ] that you're learning if you make 2:10:51 images in here you know while we're 2:10:54 [ __ ] around share those on the show 2:10:55 and tell channel in there um exploration 2:10:59 is one of our values collaboration um 2:11:01 you know work with other people 2:11:03 inclusion like it doesn't [ __ ] matter 2:11:05 where anyone comes comes from because 2:11:06 everyone's trying to figure this out and 2:11:08 the last one's empathy everyone is being 2:11:12 displaced in some way with this AI stuff 2:11:14 and so there's a lot of fear there's a 2:11:16 lot of anger there's a lot of weirdness 2:11:17 there's a lot of resistance 2:11:19 just understand that that's going to be 2:11:20 there and then within the salon there's 2:11:23 all sorts of areas to get help there are 2:11:26 um there's like a water cooler 2:11:28 discussion there's a showand tell 2:11:29 Channel there's tools and resources and 2:11:31 then there's guilds there's a a 101 2:11:33 Guild if you're just getting started 2:11:35 there's an Art Guild a writer Circle AI 2:11:37 for business pate's got the AI mechanics 2:11:40 Guild there's a video Guild there's 2:11:41 healthc care I think um Mr K and um 2:11:46 there's two other people that want to do 2:11:47 an education Guild will probably spin up 2:11:49 an education Guild so um it's a really 2:11:52 cool community so if you're into this 2:11:54 sort of thing please come join 2:11:58 us and if you don't resonate with those 2:12:00 values cool don't join like like you 2:12:04 won't dig the people there if if you if 2:12:07 you read those values and like that 2:12:08 sounds [ __ ] awful then yes that 2:12:12 you're correct and if you read those 2:12:14 values and you're like that sounds like 2:12:16 my kind of people then we are probably 2:12:17 your kind of people 2:12:19 can images like storyboard only be seen 2:12:21 in 4.0 yes so so in chat 2:12:28 [Music] 2:12:31 GPT you'll see GPT 3.5 and this is 2:12:36 basically the GPT that launched last 2:12:38 November you cannot make images in it 2:12:42 um you can't do any of the fancy [ __ ] in 2:12:45 it and it's and it's not as good and but 2:12:47 unfortunately Ely um they they've closed 2:12:51 new subscriptions to four so get on the 2:12:53 waiting list for four and then once you 2:12:56 get four then you can do all this stuff 2:12:57 it's connected to the internet it's got 2:13:00 this thing called code interpreter where 2:13:01 it does the 2:13:02 analysis um it sees images it draws 2:13:08 images now one thing that I didn't show 2:13:12 today that I will oh I can do this I 2:13:15 didn't think about this before that's 2:13:18 probably going to [ __ ] up my other 2:13:19 machine but we'll 2:13:20 see oh I don't know how to make it not 2:13:23 bright 2:13:29 huh that's not going to work all right 2:13:31 I'll flip it right I know champy we got 2:13:33 to go I I'll get you out there hang 2:13:36 on so in chat gpt's IOS app so this is 2:13:41 iPad um even if you've got GPT 2:13:46 3.5 you can put put chat gpt's IOS app 2:13:51 and I think their Android app into 2:13:52 conversation mode so you can talk with 2:13:54 these 2:13:58 things oh wait they got a bug you got to 2:14:01 fill something in first hang 2:14:04 on how can I assist you today okay so 2:14:07 I'm going to tap the little 2:14:12 headphones I'm trying to figure out how 2:14:15 to take a screenplay I wrote and make a 2:14:17 $100 million in the next three 2:14:20 [Laughter] 2:14:23 months that's quite an ambitious 2:14:26 goal making $100 million from a 2:14:29 screenplay in such a short time frame is 2:14:32 extremely challenging but here's some 2:14:34 steps to consider so um so experiment 2:14:38 with that as well because you can do 2:14:39 that with 3.5 and having chat GPT in 2:14:43 conversation mode or Pi Go go download 2:14:46 the PI app pi personal 2:14:49 assistant 2:14:51 um and and it's it's it's a completely 2:14:55 different mindset when you're talking to 2:14:57 this thing in voice like go on a long 2:14:59 road trip and put chat GPT voice mode or 2:15:03 Pi on your Bluetooth and just have like 2:15:06 a conversation for a whole road trip 2:15:08 it's insane it's crazy um someone just 2:15:11 said thanks you inspired me now to pay a 2:15:13 shitload of monthly fees I know I'm 2:15:15 sorry I'm listen I really am trying to 2:15:17 limit it but there's there's [ __ ] out 2:15:21 there that we should be exploring so um 2:15:24 one piece of advice do not save the 20% 2:15:28 and buy any annual subscriptions just 2:15:31 don't do it shit's changing too fast 2:15:34 because three months from now you're 2:15:35 gonna be like [ __ ] why do I have why I 2:15:37 picked the loser why did I buy the 2:15:39 annual subscription for the thing that's 2:15:41 the loser Robert Rossy Kyle thanks so 2:15:43 much for being here um connect Mighty 2:15:46 Network like suggested before okay yeah 2:15:48 I'll do I'll do that Robert let me think 2:15:49 about that I'll I'll find a place to do 2:15:51 it and and we'll start sending people to 2:15:53 Mighty networks and I'll show it cuz I 2:15:55 had that going pretty good with Discord 2:15:57 and I haven't quite gotten my bearings 2:15:59 yet with Mighty Network it's only been 2:16:01 live it's not even officially live right 2:16:03 now it's kind of soft launched so we're 2:16:05 launching it officially on December 5th 2:16:08 which is the one-year anniversary of the 2:16:10 the salon so you should come to that 2:16:12 meeting as well all right okay I'm going 2:16:15 to get the hell out of here are all gpts 2:16:18 accessible for free no they are not 2:16:20 right now gpts are only accessible to 2:16:23 other chat GPT 4 members uh chat GPT 2:16:27 Plus members I have a suspicion when 2:16:29 they launch the GPT store that they 2:16:32 might be available to non four 2:16:35 subscribers but they might use that 2:16:39 store to get more people to pay for chat 2:16:41 gp4 which I think is shitty because I'm 2:16:45 I'm going to be teaching um my 2:16:47 co-founder kid is in a a school for 2:16:50 neuros spicy kids and I want all those 2:16:54 teachers creating gpts for the students 2:16:57 like personal gpts for each student well 2:16:59 if the students don't have gp4 and they 2:17:02 can't use it that's pretty [ __ ] 2:17:03 shitty so I'm hoping that they kind of 2:17:06 make play only versions of the gpts that 2:17:09 that non-subscribers can use but we'll 2:17:11 see I don't know I do not know people I 2:17:15 am as clueless as you are and what's 2:17:17 going on with all this happy horse 2:17:19 [ __ ] let's see let's go out on a nice 2:17:23 this one from Ted this lovely little 2:17:26 futuristic house of the 2:17:30 future all right I'm going to get on out 2:17:32 of here I will see you tomorrow night 2:17:34 let's see Ry or die good to see you 2:17:36 Thelonius Tobias 2:17:38 sherbear cam cin from spy agencies 2:18:10 have warned about the emirati firm g42 2:18:13 and it's work with large Chinese 2:18:15 companies okay there was also some big 2:18:17 ass rumor open AI was doing some 2:18:19 nefarious [ __ ] with a Chinese company so 2:18:22 that'll be interesting to see if that 2:18:23 plays out um who else we got here 2:18:27 tonight think I got everyone Clint 2:18:29 Copperhead jrc Dy
