19. 4:27get some reality shows produced I got close to and um so I I have I have this friend who's a a a showrunner someone you know
20. 4:36someone who can get this [ __ ] done so I had I had this idea for a show uh and it was what was it called
21. 4:45um um something like Dream On Dream On Hold or dream put on hold but basically it was it was about old guys like me that
22. 4:57um that you know made a sacrifice in their life raised a family went and got a job and then you know kids left the
23. 5:04house and they decided to pursue their dreams as a musician or whatever it was and so it' be a reality show where you
24. 5:10know these these it would be like a voice competition kind of show where where these old guys and gals would
25. 5:18dream dreams on hold I think it was called and so I call up my my buddy John who's a showrunner and I'm like so I got
26. 5:24I got this show and so I pitch him the idea he was like yeah he goes yeah pitched that one a few years back I said
27. 5:32he goes guess why they didn't buy it and I said cuz no one would give a [ __ ] he goes exactly are all the potato potatoes
28. 5:44peeled the potatoes are peeled boiled mashed and eaten it was done done done and done the potatoes were tasty we did
29. 5:52a uh so we had some friends over um that that came over um around Thanksgiving and uh they're vegetarians so so we put
30. 6:03our we put our turkey on hold until tonight we had our turkey tonight so we did mashed potatoes and stuffing
31. 6:11stuffing and mashed potatoes and it was tasty it was good but I'm very full so I'm a little trip toed out so I'm going
32. 6:18to be like little punch drunk so the coffee is going to do its job tonight um all right so we'll get started here if

42. 7:45chat GPT to create a storyboard for a film and so I've written a bunch of screenplays so I just pulled up a
43. 7:52screenplay and you know we we spent like 45 minutes it was really remarkable just uh um making storyboards from a film I I
44. 8:04wrote and it what was amazing about it was it the images it generated were essentially what I saw in my head like
45. 8:12it was amazing it was really amazing any idea on when open AI will resume their GPT Subs I hope pretty [ __ ] soon
46. 8:19because a big part of my community is telling people to go use chat GPT for and and new people can't and they they
47. 8:27can go use uh a co-pilot from Microsoft but when I went to try to use that yesterday it didn't have any of its
48. 8:35multimodal [ __ ] on so let me go look at it right now so that made me cranky Zer out of 2000 let's see create
49. 8:50an image of a polar bear and um one thing that I do want to show tonight is I'm going to show you the new cocacola if you haven't haven't
50. 8:59seen the new Coca-Cola AI Christmas Card Maker uh where they're letting people do generative AI with the coke logo on it
51. 9:07which I find remarkable I assume they have all sorts of safety guard rails so we don't get you know nefarious Coke
52. 9:15branded Christmas cards being sent out but but we'll see but I'll show you that do you have a video on YouTube
53. 9:20explaining how to navigate through mid journey I don't um I can I can show you that tonight I can I can do that tonight Naisha I can
54. 9:32we can we can do a mid Journey plunge all right so so it is it flickering like that yall seeing that what did I hit a filter

59. 10:31thought I was having oh okay yeah mine flickers because of my my Graphics bord is shot yeah I thought thought I was having
60. 10:40an aneurysm no it was it was it was definitely like everything in here looks normal do I have this too low oh that's what it was all
61. 10:51right yeah I thought it seemed a little low anyway all right so I guess when it's low it does it it it is not Happ happy with its frame

68. 11:45sort of obscure depressing [ __ ] who are you what are your qualifications sir so if you like that I'll get you up to
69. 11:54speed we'll get you started on AI and then we'll go over uh and and do some mid Journey stuff I'll show you how mid Journey
70. 12:03works and then any what any what I don't know oh I'll go show you the Coca-Cola thing that'll be cool and yeah I want to hear I want to
71. 12:12hear Jim now that you reminisced on what life was like before AI cuz you've been you've been playing with it for a year
72. 12:20right you you started November 30th too so yeah I would imagine it was quite different so I'm interested to hear

77. 13:12you've never tried chat GPT before I've never tried this actually anyone anyone on here who's never tried it
78. 13:20before okay so at least one awesome a thank you for admitting that that's super cool okay go there right now go to chat.

84. 14:13dog that sings better than his master and then it'll write you a poem and you go uh make me a project plan to
85. 14:28open a a pizza parlor boom and then it will make you a marketing plan and then you can say uh make me a table comparing a
86. 14:45restaurant to a dog grooming business from a viability standpoint and then watch it make a
87. 15:00[Music] table and then go and then go uh write me a C sharp application that is a Flappy Bird's clone that can be run on
88. 15:19Unity boom and then it will do that so if you've never seen chat gbt and you're think thinking like oh it's
89. 15:29just like a Google search no no it's not like a Google search it is not like a Google search so while I'm while you
90. 15:37hear me rambling on and and making fun of myself and and dealing with trolls um just go there and play just play play
91. 15:46play and if you haven't had your Kevin McAllister moment yet just keep playing until you have this moment where you realize holy
92. 15:55crap um so that's that okay for the rest of you couple other things if you don't know about playground and and you're
93. 16:06geeky if you like geeking out chat GPT is kind of the consumer front end and the playground platform. open.com
94. 16:15playground is where the developers go to develop things and you have access to more flips and switches and dials and
95. 16:21API documentation and things like that so so if you're geeky go play there and then for for everyone um one of the things that I think is
96. 16:34critical right now for all of us for all of us is to keep staying Cur like get curious and stay curious and just about
97. 16:44the time you think you have it figured out flush all that down the toilet and start over why because all of these tools are
98. 16:52progressing it it seems like about every month and a half or two months there's some major update to I've been calling it the keys to the
99. 17:01universe interesting keeps changing so fast yeah exactly Ron digity exactly so so what I'm going to show you is these are a bunch of tools
100. 17:11that I'm keeping my eye on like I I use a fair amount so these are the big four Claude Bard co-pilot and grock grock I
101. 17:20don't use right now because I don't have access to it yet but it's supposed to be coming out this week and that's that's
102. 17:26Elon musk's Twitter power chat GPT competitor that's actually going to live inside Twitter it's going
103. 17:33to live inside X um so pay attention to that one co-pilot is essentially free chat GPT 4 um although it's it's a
104. 17:41little H hindered because of their safety guard rails Claude is chat gpt's major competitor it's a bunch of exop AI
105. 17:48people in fact Dario the CEO of that was asked to come run open AI the Saturday after they uh fired Sam Alman and he
106. 17:57told him to go pound sand and then Bard is Google's entry into this world and um it's it's interesting both um Bard and
107. 18:07co-pilot and grock are all going to be connected to real-time data to the internet grock in particular
108. 18:14incorporates Twitter data into into its responses so you can get more disinformation faster okay um next four to go play with
109. 18:25pi perplexity Po and then latus whole world in of itself that's the whole open source World um Pi perplexity and po are
110. 18:34all really interesting uh models so so here's nine nine that that I think are worth you spending time on chat GPT those
111. 18:49four and those four and screenshot these if you're if you're typing slow and I'm moving too fast just screenshot these
112. 18:57and you're like but Kyle I don't want to type them in well if you got chat gp4 or co-pilot you can have it Go just upload
113. 19:03the image of your screenshot and have uh chat GPD type it out for you it will do that um here's your image generation
114. 19:12tools so screenshot that dolly3 lives inside chat GPT and inside Microsoft co-pilot mid Journey we're going to go
115. 19:22look at that lives you you have to make images inside Discord right now but they've been improving their website so I have a feeling
116. 19:28probably within a month or two of them releasing web-based mid Journey which which I think will be a game changer
117. 19:36that they'll they'll get a much bigger user base when you don't have to do command line [ __ ] in Discord uh then you
118. 19:43got Leonardo which is a web front end of stable diffusion and you got Firefly which is from Adobe and they they keep
119. 19:48getting better and better and it's safe for commercial you guys talk about the new Samsung phone coming out in January with
120. 19:55GPT in the phone uh we talked about it a little bit um yeah and I think it's a trend that's that's going to be coming so Samsung
121. 20:02announced this phone with a chip on it that allows you to basically run whatever large language model that
122. 20:09they've used I'm sure they're using one of the open source ones probably llama is my guess but who knows um but but you
123. 20:16can actually run that large language model locally on the device so you're not sending um queries out to other
124. 20:23services like all of these things you're sending your data to some other service they're processing it and giving it back
125. 20:29to you Samsung announced they're going to do it on device all of Apple's conversations have indicated that when
126. 20:36their [ __ ] comes out it's going to run on device and they've got a reputation for um privacy and taking that [ __ ]
127. 20:43seriously so um so I think that's going to be a a big thing in 2024 is is local models um video is also another big
128. 20:52thing um check out uh the three things on the left Runway ml Moon Valley and P abs are all text to video and image to video tools runway. TV
129. 21:05feels like the early days of MTV and um and the early days of Netflix had a baby um and people are going to make fun of
130. 21:16it and they're not going to get it and then all of a sudden mark my words Runway TV is going to turn into a
131. 21:21network killer um then you got hey Jen and did are both really interesting voice synthesis Avatar Mak Technologies he Jen in particular is
132. 21:30doing really interesting stuff with translation and avatars of you you can make your own deep fake with hey Jen
133. 21:36which I can show you um Visa is just corporate video like yeah corporate videos like stock stock uh videos but
134. 21:44put together very quickly and and cleverly um here's music and audio 11 Labs you can synthesize your voice sunno and refusion are
135. 21:55singing you put in a prompt and it creates a song with lyrics and a person singing it and then sound draw is kind of background music
136. 22:03creation um there's some of your 3D stuff you're like Kyle I don't have enough time for all this doesn't matter
137. 22:11just just capture all this [ __ ] and just spend the next two weeks without a life and then you'll be fine you'll discover oh my God
138. 22:21everything's changing Kyle what did you do to me exactly you could you'll keep coming back here and be like okay I got
139. 22:28to get caught up on this what the [ __ ] he talking about now um and then these people you should follow these people
140. 22:34are actually coherent if if if uh if the AI learning lab is chat add all of these people let me see yeah with no exceptions are actually
141. 22:45functional human beings although David Shapiro is self-admittedly neuros spicy um but he's he's wicked [ __ ] smart um so Ethan
142. 22:55mik Paul rer of the marketing AI Institute Rachel Woods here on Tik Tok is a good balance to this channel she's very buttoned up uh I'm
143. 23:05chaos and then David Shapiro is doing a bunch of stuff with AGI is it possible to move a folder up to get the
144. 23:13text or is it one file at a time I don't I do I do not know of what you speak David Crossland or cross. David oh hey
145. 23:24Mark oh hi I I do not know what you speak of the word words what folder do you mean which file I don't know
146. 23:34um all right so so that should get you started and then I'll talk about this now I'm not going to go through it too
147. 23:42deep but if you're looking for a community of people that are weird like you um check out the AI salon so that's
148. 23:54our Mighty Network's address we we just went live with the mighty networks Community about a week ago um the salon's been around for a
149. 24:05year we've got a Discord where you can make mid Journey images and that's where the community was but we're Migra
150. 24:10migrating it over to Mighty networks and um and what's cool is so so I do these things nightly these lives I go like 2
151. 24:22and a half three hours a night seven nights a week why cuz I'm nuts and and what ends up happening is there's a lot
152. 24:30of people we call them the Irregulars some of them help mod the channel so thank you for whoever's modding tonight
153. 24:36and then some of them just like hanging out and both both are cool and what ends up happening is as we talk and as we
154. 24:42play with stuff and as I make jokes about stuff they create images and then they share them on channels on on the
155. 24:48mighty networks and they share them in the showand tell Channel and they share them in the Irregulars Channel and
156. 24:52things like that I've been sick I feel like I'm a couple of years behind you guys yeah Ron Diggity you you can't get
157. 25:00sick it's not allowed you're not allowed to get sick now that AI is here you can't I took a day off from this thing it took me three days to
158. 25:08recover it's like you're not allowed it's just you're not allowed it's not it's just it's just the new rules we just we just need to accept
159. 25:19it okay so no getting sick there is sick is right out um yeah but go uh go check out go check out the salon okay so someone wanted to
160. 25:32know how we do how you do mid Journey so where I am this is Discord let me turn some of this interface off because there's a lot of
161. 25:43it um if you've never seen Discord before this is it let me make things a little bigger so down the left hand side
162. 25:51you've got these are um communities right so these are these are different communities like this is a group of in
163. 25:57called neotokyo here's the mid Journey server um here's the AI salon so so this is where we've been for a year and within the
164. 26:07salon um we've got announcements we've got resources we've got guilds the guilds in particular are moving over to Mighty
165. 26:16networks um but we've got a writer Guild an Art Guild things like that business Guild uh P's got a mechanics Guild where
166. 26:22you can talk about geeky [ __ ] there's a healthcare Guild there's now a video Guild um and then we've got discussion
167. 26:29areas and we've got this thing called mid Journey play and so this is a channel where we can make images with mid journey and so here's
168. 26:38Claire she just she is like really finding her voice with art and just in here all the time doing all sorts of
169. 26:46cool stuff those are pillows I guess those are some freaky ass Birds those are like bird hummingbird face head thing pillows
170. 26:58um but she's working on some really cool stuff um okay so how do you do mid journey is you can either go to the mid
171. 27:08Journey server itself and within mid Journey again there's lots of different channels and then there's these channels
172. 27:14called newbies and if you're new you're going to be a newbie or you can go to something like the AI Salon Discord and
173. 27:21that's got a mid Journey Channel and when you're in a channel that's got mid journey in it you type slash
174. 27:30imagine and then you'll notice it puts a little prompt up here it says you know put a prompt in there so I'm going to
175. 27:35hit return and then there there's my prompt so I did Slash imagine and now there's a place for me to type a prompt and so I'm going to say
176. 27:44um see photo surrealistic um image
177. 27:59of a street princess in a grungy alley
178. 28:13in distopian neotokyo and then I'm going to go dash dash AR 16 colon9 and and you're like but Kyle what
179. 28:29is this madness you spake of what what is this D- ar16 colon9 this seems like coding this seems like something I would
180. 28:38never want to learn ever in my life Kyle is this why they call it prompt engineering oh Kyle why do they do this
181. 28:44to us and you would be correct you would be correct uh with mid Journey you kind of have to know their secret double secret handshake
182. 28:54language this is not going to last for long and if you use DOI within chat GPT I'll I'll compare the difference for you
183. 29:01the reason you would go through this [ __ ] with mid journey is because the quality of it is so good so so now we're going to hit
184. 29:11return and it's going to go off and it's going to build something so it's going to build us our surrealistic image of a
185. 29:17street prin princess in a grungy alley in dystopian neotokyo I don't know what that means but it probably does um these
186. 29:27these image models have remarkable depth of knowledge of Art and language and so you'll notice that the images but but
187. 29:36how why why are they so fuzzy why are they so fuzzy I thought they were pretty oh that now it's looking better it's
188. 29:42less fuzzy it's less fuzzy so this is the way these things work the way they actually work is when you put in your
189. 29:48prompt it sort of deselects any image any Associated things that used to be images that are now just these random noise patterns and it it
190. 30:00kind of amalgamates them together into a single noisy image and then it denoises them over 50 steps using the same
191. 30:08algorithm that noised them in the first place and after those 50 steps then you end up with four different options and
192. 30:16so we'll kind of zoom in here so there's our street princess and there's another one there and another one there so I
193. 30:23kind of like this upper right one so we'll go back out and then you have these crazy letters u12 3 4 and V12 3 4
194. 30:30and then this twirly button the twirly button is I hate them all start over um v stands for variation U stands for upscale so I like this
195. 30:41one and and actually I think that one's interesting so it's 1 2 3 4 so I'm going to upscale that one and then I'm going
196. 30:49to do variations on that one cuz that one's got something but I think it could the the composition could be improved so
197. 30:56I go upscale two and then I'll go variations of three all right and then the upscale generally works pretty quick yeah there's the
198. 31:08upscale crazy beautiful and then you can also upscale it 2X or 4X so I can basically take this to print
199. 31:19resolution with a cck click of a button I can also zoom out on it if I'm like oh I kind of like this but I want her to be
200. 31:26farther in the distance I can just do something like zoom out 1.5 and and so it'll Now sort of fill in the a it's it's what's called out
201. 31:36painting in stable diffusion but just zoom out is actually really good uh a really good descriptor of it so that's
202. 31:43that and now we've got these are the four variations of the one we saw before and let's see let's compare it to what was there it was that
203. 31:56one so let's see I think I like uh tough I think I like number two or no you know what I like the contrast in
204. 32:10number three so we're going to go upscale number three and then at some point here we should see yeah these are the zoom outs
205. 32:21of the of the uh one we did before so they're still rendering and I think I like they're very very
206. 32:36similar uh here we go let's see I guess we'll do number two I'm going to upscale number two and then there's our upscale of that
207. 32:52one and then you go in and you got a nice beautiful dystopian neotokyo Ali princess didn't know what an Ali princess was but there she is
208. 33:05okay so that's how you do mid Journey um you can dig deeper in it but but basically you know it's it's worth
209. 33:14the pain in the ass because the quality the subtlety of of the images that are made are are you know they're just
210. 33:22amazing right it's just if you want art use mid Journey if you want commercial images for your business use Adobe Firefly and what you
211. 33:33should know even if you're using Adobe Firefly for your business9 thank you Siri um is you should understand how mid journey is
212. 33:45different than Adobe um and like which which one's good for what and you know where the boundaries are so just get curious with
213. 33:54all this AI stuff Kyle motorcycle helmet box is in the camera frame oh that's cool yeah this is this is my fancy this is my fancy my fancy
214. 34:10uh monitor stand it doesn't matter I don't care nothing but the best production value here at the AI learning
215. 34:25lab oh yeah Bob tell him what he's won you won a new podcasting setup with actual equipment I don't need [Laughter]

222. 35:40make fun of you they will celebrate you put your put your images on the internet on the Tik Tok the Bears all right where can we find the

229. 36:46going to take you to Discord and if you've never been on Discord it's going to be completely discombobulating you're

235. 37:50done it once but I didn't get it actually functional I got it to call the zap and then the authen authentication failed and I
236. 37:58never uh managed to it wasn't that I didn't manage to get it going it's that I never went back and TR although I did
237. 38:06work in zapier today to pull we have we have a share your GPT channel in the Discord in the salon Discord and Pate
238. 38:16actually downloaded all of the data from all of our channels and I created a zap to pull that data and post it to Mighty
239. 38:24networks which was kind of a vict iory but it didn't do it in a very sexy way so anyway go to creat magic.com and this
240. 38:34is a Coca-Cola so Coca-Cola did this contest I think at the beginning of the Summer where they allowed 20 artists to

347. 56:52trip go and then this thing will just spin up agents to go do all the different tasks that need to be done and
348. 57:00and the central one will coordinate it all so that's one of his projects and then the other one is a cognitive architecture for AGI for
349. 57:08artificial general intelligence which is what Sam Alman and the open AI team are rumored to have cracked some version of
350. 57:16uh which led to Sam alman's firing so I would go follow I would go follow Ye Ye Old David Shapiro uh if I were you okay Ted looks at life
351. 57:27hugging face CEO predicts 2024 open source llm will reach the level of closed Source yeah I think that's
352. 57:35probably right Ted because you've got you've got so many people now like one of the one of the very very positive impacts of chat GPT

354. 57:57nice um side effects of that is that the entire development Community just went Bonkers and so you've you've effectively
355. 58:06got the global open- Source development Community all working on AI because there's so much opportunity there um and
356. 58:14what it does is so [ __ ] magical and so I just think I just think that amount of intellectual horsepower not only
357. 58:22working on the projects but like one of the things that I've seen in the developer Community is a paper will come
358. 58:28out and the paper will say okay we took this algorithm and these two existing Technologies and we glued them together
359. 58:36to make this new thing and then within two days that paper shows up in another paper that says okay we took that paper
360. 58:45and we glued it together with this other algorithm and now it's this new thing and it's just it's it's just getting
361. 58:52insane so so I think I think you're right I think the uh the open source Community is already making great
362. 58:58strides with things like optimization making these models smaller and smaller and smaller and still perform well and
363. 59:05what that means is they're going to at some point get them small enough that we can just install them on our phone
364. 59:11locally and run them locally right that's what that Samsung phone announced that's what the new Apple Hardware is
365. 59:16talking about so where we're moving is models where we don't have to rely on open Ai and we don't have to rely on mic
366. 59:24Microsoft and we can say hey I want one that cusses at me and doesn't give me all the safety guard rails and I want it
367. 59:30to run locally and that's going to be that's going to be a reality in in 2024 and then and then yeah I think on the
368. 59:36high end you're going to end up with you know some models that are really really good and if this qar thing is real and
369. 59:47and what it is and what its mechanisms are get out then the open source Community is going to be all over that

454. 1:11:44can send it out because it doesn't have anyone's information in it and then and then reassemble it when it comes back in

456. 1:11:58lollipop right and you just you just give it a list of word Replacements and then and then just ask it about the

467. 1:13:23window which basically means it's like a 96,000 word um window that it can keep in its memory so it might do long form
468. 1:13:30better Claude uh claw. just went to 200,000 tokens and and is apparently better at long form content but don't
469. 1:13:40just start out by saying give me a 15 chapter book on this it'll fail miserably but but have a long conversation with it at first about what
470. 1:13:52you're trying what what it is here's what the game is here's what I'm trying to do I want you to act as as a um a
471. 1:13:59game rules uh author um and and then say um can you come up with three different educational approaches for how you might
472. 1:14:10write a book like this and then it'll give you those and then say Okay um I like I like approaches two and three can
473. 1:14:16you can you create um a broad outline of of the book and then let it create the broad outline give it feedback on the
474. 1:14:24broad outline and say okay great for for you know chap for for section one um can you now create a detailed outline for
475. 1:14:32just section one and then do section two and then do section three and then go through each one and have it outline
476. 1:14:38each chapter and and then have it start to fill in the chapter it takes it a long time to do it but it allows it
477. 1:14:45allows you to get your head around what you're writing at a high level um and then it gives the GPT a chance to to
478. 1:14:54take all of that in as well so all of that conversation becomes context for all the stuff it's writing so that may
479. 1:15:00help yeah that's beautiful um and yeah you know my whole goal was just to interact with it in a more deep Manner
480. 1:15:08and to make it you know more of a a simplistic um you know just like stepbystep rules for a for a fairly

561. 1:28:47if that's actually possible but yeah probably um and I think that's actually a good way to approach this stuff is
562. 1:28:55that for any problem that you are confronted with the chances are actually really good that AI can solve
563. 1:29:05it in some way you know any anything that's you know knowledge worky kind of stuff um and even if you've got some
564. 1:29:12[ __ ] like you know your car's acting funny like I had Pi help me troubleshoot a dead battery you know or a dying
565. 1:29:19battery on my car um so so you can do it for physical world stuff too but but um it's midnight it's midnight Midnight after youres
566. 1:29:32um but so what we did is someone said Can can it um Can it storyboard and I said well sure let's try it so I took a screenplay that I
567. 1:29:42wrote in like 1991 I haven't probably read it since that time like since we were out pitching it you know 92 93 and it was
568. 1:29:52this is the first screenplay I wrote it was called uh it's called salmon flying East and and so the first thing I had to
569. 1:29:59do was write uh like a Hollywood log line and so after a couple of shitty ones I said um give me a log line that
570. 1:30:08compare Compares this screenplay to two different movies um and so it said salmon flying East is where the deer hunter meets a
571. 1:30:16river runs runs through it a poignant journey of a Vietnam veteran uh fisherman wrestling with his past entangled in a haunting romance that
572. 1:30:24bridged turbulent Waters of War and the Serene struggles of life back home it's pretty good and then I said
573. 1:30:33um okay great create a list of visual scenes from the opening of the movie described them as if they were a
574. 1:30:39storyboard and so it did so it read my screenplay and it pulled out these scenes and what was remarkable is like I
575. 1:30:47haven't read this thing in decades and like the minute it pulled it out I was like oh oh yeah that scene oh yeah that
576. 1:30:53scene oh yeah that scene and so so it describes the scenes and then U or you know it lists the scenes scenes one Gig
577. 1:31:00Harbor Docks pre-dawn a funny Ser a foggy Serene Dawn at Gig Harbor the camera slowly pans across the glassy
578. 1:31:09water of the Puget Sound capturing the fog intermingling with the early morning light like beautiful perfect and like I
579. 1:31:15think it pulled some of that language from the screenplay itself so so it grabs all these sort of things and now I
580. 1:31:21said great I'd like to start storyboarding this so I want you to create a 16 by9 wide orientation image per scene so again so I'm not just
581. 1:31:29starting out going make me some pictures from my movie like we're starting out having it kind of understand the movie
582. 1:31:35and understand you know what it's trying to do and what we're trying to accomplish I I'd like the style to be
583. 1:31:40loose watercolor and style but clearly indicate the camera what the camera sees and what lens should be used um why
584. 1:31:47don't we start with scene one to get the style dialed in and so it generates ated that which I thought was quite nice um
585. 1:31:56it's not really storyboard like it's a little more artlike but kind of in the neighborhood so I told it I didn't
586. 1:32:02really like the rough edges and I wanted it to be more vibrant and then it came up with that which is just [ __ ]
587. 1:32:08obnoxious like no that's not right um but there's some scenes that flash back to the past and it I like that it it did
588. 1:32:15this sort of you know super vibrant versus you know muted scene from the past so it got that kind of cool and I said
589. 1:32:24that's kind of the right idea and then it came up with those two Styles so I said I said let's color grade the
590. 1:32:31present in kind of this blue this Serene blue and let's color grade the past in this kind of disturbing fog of War green
591. 1:32:39olive drab green and it did that and then I said great now can you make an image for each scene using our new color
592. 1:32:47grading framework and it just started storyboarding ing the movie so it it was just literally just producing these one after another just
593. 1:32:57going down that table and doing these scenes I mean freaking wild wild so we played with that for a bit
594. 1:33:11and then I tried to get it to do some other stuff like put the images in a in a uh spreadsheet it didn't do that very
595. 1:33:19well we did a couple of different Styles and then after I got off the live last night let's see what did I say tried to do something with
596. 1:33:34markdown that didn't work so after I got out off the live last night I had to do a character breakdown and I said I said give me a
597. 1:33:49character breakdown a description of the character and what happens to them in the film and then who are the suggested Stars so Jack
598. 1:33:58a haunted Vietnam veteran turned fisherman and Gig Harbor suggested Stars Hugh Jackman Jeremy rener Josh broland
599. 1:34:06like oh that's kind of cool and then it did it for his love interest it did it for Martha the bait shop owner Melissa
600. 1:34:12McCarthy Octavia Spencer Allison jany which are those are good good calls um snake Michael Michael fast Bender Bender
601. 1:34:22um Tom Hardy Idris Elba really good good calls right so and then and then I had it you know make the characters and so it did
602. 1:34:34that and I tried to have it put the name on but it made the name as if it was the name of the movie that wasn't quite
603. 1:34:40right so then I said put the name on a piece of masking tape it came up with that I thought oh that's pretty good and
604. 1:34:47so like here's the here's the characters for the film and it's like yeah that's pretty [ __ ] cool and then I
605. 1:35:00thought tell me the 10 most important Mo moments visually I thought maybe it'd be cool to just capture the most important
606. 1:35:08visual moments of the film and tell the story that way so he did a couple of the couple of the those images and it just did those
607. 1:35:17then it crapped out um and then I finally did write a trailer script that describes the visuals as well and so it wrote this
608. 1:35:26trailer visual foggy Dawn gentle waves lapping against the dock in the quiet town of Gig Harbor um visual Jacka a rugged fisherman a
609. 1:35:39Solitary Man battles with his tides of the past a love lost in the shadows of war and a heart still searching for
610. 1:35:47peace haunted by memories of a war that that took more than he could give but in the unlikeliest of places a glimmer of
611. 1:35:55hope rekindles right so so it's not bad so let's see final shot and then it created you know some of the images from the
612. 1:36:08uh you know from the trailer and so then I was thinking was I could take these things over to to Runway ML and animate
613. 1:36:17them and record the voice over and come up with some music and make a trailer for my movie and like all this was like
614. 1:36:23within an hour like you know so that's just crazy so anyway that was that was last night and you know just the the the ability to to very
615. 1:36:37very quickly shift between different modes writing mode image mode conceptual mode execution mode strategy mode oh I
616. 1:36:45have a completely new idea mode boom here that is like what these tools are allowing me to do is execute at the speed of
617. 1:36:59thought and when and when you're neuros spicy when you've got ADHD the speed of thought is fast right it's coming things are coming hot and
618. 1:37:10heavy uh incoming welcome to chat adding um and what these tools allow allow me to do is tame that chaos in some way and
619. 1:37:28realize it and and it's rather than making it less making me less creative because it does all this work it's making me way
620. 1:37:41more creative like being able to take a 30-year-old screenplay and see it essentially as I saw it in my
621. 1:37:54head when I wrote it and and like see the images brought to life like is totally invigorating to me I'm like I want to do that with all my
622. 1:38:03screenplays I've got seven screenplays in a oneman show like what am I going to do with that like am I in that business any
623. 1:38:13anymore no but maybe I don't know maybe I am now my ability to make the films is probably a year away like not not make
624. 1:38:25them like like I'll get together a camera and I'll get some friends and we'll go to Gig Harbor and shoot a movie
625. 1:38:31no no no like me being able to like upload a screenplay dial in a visual style and generate the films that I
626. 1:38:44wrote are probably within a year W with with with relative ease that's [ __ ] Insanity [ __ ]
627. 1:38:58Insanity so anyway okay so how do it do what it do so so basically um chat GPT now if if you're in GPT
628. 1:39:134 there there's a a challenge right now which is they're not accepting new chat gp4 customers because their servers are
629. 1:39:21overloaded cuz what this thing does is so [ __ ] insane that people actually started using it and they're like oh we
630. 1:39:28didn't realize if we made this thing spectacularly powerful people would actually use it so they they made their first
631. 1:39:37underestimation a year ago this week on November 30th 2022 and they said oh here's this little tool tool we threw
632. 1:39:45together in two weeks called chat GPT no one's probably going to use it 6 weeks lat later 100 million people people uh
633. 1:39:51were using it so and now they've got a 100 million active weekly users um and then their second underestimation was Dev day three weeks
634. 1:40:02ago now um where they released these things called gpts and they released this true multimodal version of this
635. 1:40:09which I'll I'll show you what it does um and people are using it so if you don't have access to it get your ass on the
636. 1:40:18wait list um because they're going to be open it back up here shortly I would think um and and like normal GPT you can just
637. 1:40:30ask it to do stuff and it'll do it it can code it can write it can organize it can plan one of the things it's really
638. 1:40:37good at is analyzing stuff so let me let me go grab let me go grab another screen play screen PL scren PL

642. 1:41:31murder and then the more he investigates the crime the more that it points to him that did it and it turns
643. 1:41:43out that he did do it but he has a rock solid Alibi that night okay so
644. 1:41:57so I'm going to say hopefully it can read a Word document I don't know if it can I'm going to say this is a featurelength screenplay
645. 1:42:10and I'd like you to analyze it and create a table that identifies five feature films and five novels that
646. 1:42:27share thematic through lines with this screenplay period there should be a column for the movie or book a
647. 1:42:44column that describes what's similar about it and a column to describe how you might improve this screenplay to further separate it
648. 1:42:59from the work all right let's see so now it's analyzing so it's opening this word document reading the screenplay didn't
649. 1:43:13like it seems like there was an error I had a feeling it might not read it due to the character encoding issue so I'm
