2:00 [Applause]
2:04 all right so
2:05 listen I'm not taking credit for the
2:08 opening of the Oscars last night Ariana
2:11 Grande coming out and singing Somewhere
2:13 Over the Rainbow Cynthia Revo singing
2:16 that medley of fantastic songs
2:18 culminating with gravity I'm not saying
2:20 they got the idea of opening a talkie
2:23 show with a musical number I'm not
2:25 saying they got that from me I'm just
2:27 saying it's probably some people from La
2:30 that have seen the podcast if you know
2:32 what I mean and I don't think it's a
2:34 podcast
2:35 [Music]
2:37 because it's a live stream oh it's all
2:41 those live streaming people it's
2:42 probably Netflix what they have Netflix
2:45 had
2:47 77 nominations or some [ __ ] like
2:52 that so they're probably in here they're
2:54 listening to the dog sing they're
2:56 looking at like just this beauty with
2:59 the guitar and they're thinking like
3:01 Symphony who could we get to sing maybe
3:04 we could get him they're like nah he's
3:06 going to be too pricey how about that uh
3:10 that that chick that did the the the
3:13 Wizard of Oz movie oh there was two of
3:16 them get both of them I bet we'd get a
3:19 two for one deal and they I bet they got
3:20 them cheap bet they got that idea right
3:24 here
3:29 anyway I got dog hair all over
3:32 me you know it's rough inspiring you
3:37 know culture like I do you
3:41 [Music]
3:54 know oh the other thing that was
3:57 fantastic so I cancelled my Hulu
4:00 subscription cuz uh it was like 106
4:04 bucks a month basically so I could watch
4:07 F1 racing on the
4:13 weekends but we so I got rid of it and
4:16 then we reinstated it at you know a
4:19 lower level like a 10 Buck a month thing
4:22 and we didn't think we'd have access to
4:24 the Oscars but then we turned it on and
4:26 sure enough there's the Oscars we're
4:28 watching it live now we had missed the
4:31 opening pile of it cuz we were just late
4:34 and we didn't think we had access to it
4:37 and
4:39 uh but so you couldn't you couldn't
4:42 rewind you couldn't rewind to the
4:44 beginning which sucked and then we get
4:47 to uh we get to
4:51 uh Oscar for top female
4:55 performance and it just said thank you
4:57 very much I hope you enjoyed the Oscars
5:01 so Hulu shut off before the the last two
5:05 prizes unfuckingbelievable
5:09 you know they they probably have here's
5:12 probably what happened they probably
5:13 have ai running Hulu
5:16 now get it because this is an AI
5:18 positive channel it's kind of negative
5:22 [Music]
5:32 um happy Monday everybody I hope you're
5:34 doing well I hope you're doing fantastic
5:37 and Murphy's in the house he
5:39 [Music]
5:44 shaking you know what's funny we've been
5:46 we're gonna we're going to do one more
5:48 tonight yeah an are you in a in a
5:51 sharable state if you're in a sharable
5:53 state we'll get you up here and talk
5:56 about blow
6:02 so um last Tuesday we started
6:06 um mentioning our latest sponsor our
6:10 first and latest sponsor
6:13 blot and tonight's the last night we're
6:15 going to be putting them up on the big
6:17 [Music]
6:22 screen did you see Angela Cullen is
6:26 back I don't know who Angela Cullen is
6:30 I've got black bar going but I could do
6:34 that yes to blow all right so an uh
6:39 connect with uh connect with uh oh she's
6:44 not available driving got it okay so yes
6:47 she's a fan of blot so Ann Murphy fan of
6:50 blot uh Vicky Baptist uh who's who's our
6:54 our mod uh coordinator here uh and mod
6:58 extraordinaire and social media manager
7:01 of the AI Salon because we've been
7:03 talking about
7:04 blot Vicki's like well let me try this
7:07 thing out and I got a note from her
7:08 tonight yeah there she on on the on the
7:11 YouTube there she's saying blot rocks
7:14 she said that to me before we got on
7:16 here so it's not just because they're
7:17 sponsoring us it's uh it's because it
7:20 actually [ __ ] rocks so all right blow
7:25 there it is right there let me I've got
7:28 it somewhere over here too hang on sec
7:31 I'll find it you just everybody just
7:33 calm down everybody's so
7:35 excitable everyone's like yelling Kyle
7:38 you know you know maybe you could get
7:41 your stuff together before you went live
7:43 you know was just saying as all
7:47 blow.com so if you have not seen blow
7:53 blow you say blow and I say
7:57 blow um here's the deal so so Sabrina
8:00 ramov the woman in in those uh in those
8:03 posts right there um is the woman behind
8:06 this she's a rock star she's a force in
8:08 nature she is a huge Community when when
8:11 an and I did AI Festivus this year and
8:13 Sabrina came on and boosted us things
8:16 went nuts um Sabrina is kind of a force
8:21 of nature when it comes to social media
8:23 posting right she recommends that you do
8:26 50 posts a week 50 5 Z not one five that
8:31 would be reasonable to a day no no 50
8:36 and so she created blow as a resource
8:39 for people trying to create content so
8:42 you can create faceless videos you can
8:44 create all sorts of you can use posts as
8:47 templates for other posts you can remix
8:50 blogs websites you know do all that
8:51 content Generation stuff that ai's
8:54 really good at she puts it all in a easy
8:57 to use package and you're off to the r
8:59 races so there's a free trial for it so
9:02 you can try it out um apparently Vicki's
9:05 digging it she's using it for um clients
9:08 and for work and things like that so go
9:12 check out
9:13 blow you say
9:16 bloo let me get a flattering screenshot
9:23 Kyle okay cool beautiful fantastic so
9:28 anyway yeah there you
9:31 go go check it out bl.com oh and it's
9:35 not Dan Quail

9:57 Wednesdays blot very nice very cool oh
10:00 that's right I forget you get you get
10:01 the um you get to go ask uh Sabrina
10:05 herself questions about how to use the
10:08 tool how to do content marketing all
10:11 that sort of stuff Lauren Flynn what's
10:13 happening welcome welcome
10:15 welcome Vicki I had more comments on my
10:18 socials than ever before even Kyle
10:20 replied to my tweet was that a PL tweet
10:23 I did reply to your Tweet
10:28 [Music]
10:56 I don't have water what am I doing all
10:58 right hold please I'll be back calm down
11:01 everybody just calm
11:05 [Music]
11:12 down I didn't
11:24 take yeah would you make me a water and
11:44 all right fluids are being
11:47 prepared how is everybody doing tonight
11:49 how was the
11:52 weekend your homework assignment if you
11:54 remember was to think about things you
11:58 might do if you could do anything
12:01 what would you do in the world how would
12:02 you make people's lives better what
12:04 would make your life
12:07 [Music]
12:10 better you know what funny I had I I was
12:13 thinking about I wasn't thinking about
12:15 that question directly because I don't
12:17 ever do homework I don't follow
12:19 instructions especially if they're my
12:22 own
12:24 but I was thinking I was thinking all
12:26 weekend
12:28 about where do I want to put my focus
12:31 and it you know what's funny is um a lot
12:34 of the groups I'm in a lot of the
12:36 meetings I go to a lot of the
12:37 communities I'm in sorry got itchy eyes
12:44 um there's kind of a there
12:47 there's I wouldn't call it Universal
12:50 there is a there is a trend that I'm
12:54 seeing where hang on a
12:58 sec there's a trend going on right
13:01 now is this connected to anything no
13:05 hold
13:08 please I got to plug in my
13:10 little the thing that holds up my phone
13:13 or it's going to go
13:15 bad everyone's trying to figure out what
13:17 they should focus on
13:19 everyone um people are like not sure
13:23 what they want to put their time into
13:24 all that sort of stuff Tik Tock
13:27 pin was that Mrs shanon no Mrs Shannon's
13:30 coming right now she's bringing fluids
13:32 fluid delivery service Shannon's fluid
13:34 delivery service just right there thank
13:38 you
13:41 babe Beauty all right
13:47 [Music]
13:48 cheers refusion now lets you download
13:51 load songs to MP4 Etc did it not before
13:57 Danielle oh MP4 it let you make
14:01 [Music]
14:06 videos um so anyway so I haven't I I've
14:10 been I've been trying to figure out what
14:12 I want to put my focus on YouTube
14:17 Spotlight yeah awesome oh that's right
14:19 we had awesome Learn out Loud sessions
14:21 we're going to talk about Learn out Loud
14:22 sessions today
14:24 okay okay Vicki whenever you put Learn
14:27 out Loud you got to put in parentheses
14:30 lol after it come on we gota we got to
14:33 we got to milk that one we got to kick
14:36 that horse until it's dead
14:38 [Music]
14:46 again um okay let's
14:50 see so here's what struck me over the
14:53 weekend
14:55 and it didn't make me happy I'm not
14:57 inspired I'm not inspired
15:00 TI but I am feeling a pressure I'm
15:03 feeling a pressure and here's the
15:04 pressure I'm feeling I'm feeling a
15:07 pressure to get better at these no code
15:12 the vibe coding [ __ ] that everyone's
15:14 talking about cursor and repet and
15:18 lovable and there's one I played with
15:21 today that makes iOS
15:25 apps and why I'm feeling a pressure of
15:28 it is that
15:30 they're almost good enough right
15:33 now and when they get good enough it'll
15:35 be like the the opportunity with all of
15:38 this AI stuff the opportunity is to
15:42 be early enough that most people don't
15:45 know about it but but wait just long
15:48 enough so it's not a complete pain in
15:50 the ass to do anything
15:53 with and I'm feeling like the the vibe
15:56 coding stuff is is three to six months
15:59 from a Tipping Point where those tools
16:02 are going to be incredibly
16:05 good and I think having having a having
16:10 an aptitude for product development like
16:13 realtime product development I think is
16:15 going to be quite good
16:18 Kyle um let's see Josh Groves you're the
16:22 one that put me on to no code you
16:24 changed my life by posting about lovable
16:26 months ago I value whatever your you're
16:29 saying here a ton thank you very much
16:31 Josh I appreciate that
16:34 um yeah love lovable is absolutely
16:36 amazing lovable was the first one in my
16:39 opinion that actually actually lived up
16:42 to the promise of no code um all the
16:45 other ones all the other ones were like
16:47 well you got to set up a database and
16:49 then you gotta set up your apis things
16:52 and your [ __ ] web server and and now
16:55 they're doing it for you a bit more
16:57 reet's pretty good
17:02 and with all these tools if you're a
17:04 developer you're going to be way better
17:07 at this than if you're a non-developer
17:09 which I think is
17:12 why I think I can be your Canary and a
17:15 Col mind right because I know I own a
17:18 tech company I know enough about product
17:20 development and coding to be able to use
17:23 these but I'm totally clueless with
17:25 modern coding architectures like I my my
17:28 idea of building a website is a single
17:30 HTML page my idea of coding is like you
17:34 know basic programming I learn on a trs8
17:37 in
17:43 1977 so so so I am effectively clueless
17:48 when it comes to actual
17:51 implementation um yes
17:54 [Music]
17:57 sir oh Josh wants to chat with you at
18:01 some
18:03 point would actually love to chat with
18:05 you about some things I've been learning
18:07 and doing I use lovable cursor bolt
18:11 repet a bit now um do me a favor Josh if
18:14 you're not okay this is a good a good
18:16 opportunity if you're not in the AI
18:18 Salon please join the AI salon and just
18:20 DM me over there so if you're if you're
18:23 not in the AI
18:25 Salon go to there to that website
18:40 and um go to the salon. click on the
18:44 button that says join our
18:46 community and then that's going to take
18:48 you
18:51 to the AI
18:53 salon and it's going to land you right
18:55 on Welcome to the salon I'm going to ug
18:58 it back to that in a second
18:59 welcome to the salon and you can learn
19:02 about the journey to AI Readiness we we
19:04 preach at the salon which is play first
19:07 mindfully create generously lead so
19:09 anyway Josh if you're in here um just DM
19:13 me um and if you're not in here please
19:16 get in here and introduce yourself uh
19:19 down the leftand side there's sort of a
19:21 little seven-step welcome process um
19:25 that includes um you know looking at
19:27 past meetings you can see what we're
19:28 about out but also rsvping for for
19:31 upcoming
19:32 meetings and so
19:36 tomorrow we have an AI Salon presents
19:39 meeting so tomorrow is Tuesday March 4th
19:43 from 5:00 P pm to 7M mountain
19:47 time so 4 to 6 Pacific 7 to 9 Eastern if
19:52 you're in central time you're on your
19:54 own figure it out somewhere between all
19:57 of those numbers are your numbers
20:03 Chicagoans got such attitude in Chicago
20:06 you've got like big city attitude for
20:09 kind of a you know I mean sure you're
20:11 number
20:12 three so it's a lot of attitude up there
20:15 though I get it it's cold it's
20:19 windy anyway um so tomorrow
20:25 night um we're having
20:27 on where
20:32 where's
20:34 that that was in announcements how did I
20:36 just lose
20:43 that Vicki did you just kill an
20:46 announcement update your aelon
20:51 profile what am I missing
20:59 RSVP for next
21:03 event oh wait there it just was
21:06 again there it
21:08 is that was
21:10 weird all right wasn't showing up okay
21:13 anyway good
21:14 [Laughter]
21:18 Lord Mary Massie says hi on LinkedIn hey
21:20 Mary Massie what's happening welcome
21:22 welcome welcome yeah I I we're going
21:24 live tonight right now we're live on
21:26 LinkedIn X YouTube and Tik Tock why why
21:34 not I I I I like to keep my producer on
21:38 his toes it drives him crazy
21:44 um
21:45 fantastic um let's see it guy on Tik Tok
21:49 Kyle I made a web app using Claud today
21:51 for my
21:52 business I just kept tweaking it and it
21:55 worked question what are some cool
21:57 features on perplexity all right we'll
21:59 we'll we'll go look at perplexity love
22:01 you oodles Kyle thank you Mary Massie I
22:03 appreciate that
22:05 um so tomorrow night AI Salon presents
22:10 um go RSVP for this we've got Brian
22:12 Piper he's gonna talk about um how to
22:15 build custom gpts we haven't talked
22:17 about them in a while one of the things
22:19 that I saw Circle back around in the
22:21 fall and and coming into the winter was
22:24 people getting reinus reinvigorated
22:27 about custom gpts one of the other
22:29 things that happened is as open AI has
22:32 been updating their models a lot of
22:36 custom gpts have been breaking so it's a
22:38 good time to reexamine them if you've
22:41 built them in the past probably go look
22:43 at them see if they're still working um
22:46 and come come see Brian tomorrow and
22:48 he's he's going to be talking about
22:49 personal and professional superpowers
22:51 when it comes to doing customized uh
22:53 work with these things so super slick um
22:57 the other thing that happened with um
23:02 with the
23:03 salon let's see
23:06 where is was there a previous
23:09 announcement Vicky
23:11 for
23:15 past yeah here we go
23:19 so we had this idea so so within the
23:23 within the salon if you scroll down to
23:25 the bottom on that left hand side you'll
23:26 see an area called clubs and hubs and
23:28 the the idea with clubs and hubs is that
23:30 they're subc communities they're like
23:31 these little mini masterminds that just
23:35 naturally evolve people kind of step
23:36 into leadership positions they gather
23:38 people around them they focus on
23:40 something and so we've got these these
23:42 subcommunities and what we talked about
23:44 was wanting to to have an opportunity
23:47 for people to kind of practice their
23:49 leadership and we came up with this idea
23:51 of popups so it's like a a very
23:53 short-term club and when we were calling
23:56 them popups and then um this past
24:00 weekend Vicky and Kelly km and Lori Ryan
24:03 on Saturday did a popup for lovable.
24:07 deev which is which is a no code
24:09 platform and then on Sunday Joy pie did
24:12 one for Da Vinci resolve teaching people
24:16 how to do video editing because she's
24:17 gotten really good at video editing over
24:19 the past year because you can make
24:21 movies
24:23 now and she decided she wants to after
24:27 30 30 or 35 years being a sleep Tech
24:30 decided she's always had stories to tell
24:32 and she wants to be a filmmaker so she
24:34 she put together the uh the D viny
24:37 resolve jam and and I think it was Vicki
24:41 came up with the idea she was like oh
24:43 Learn out Loud like it's one of our
24:45 values of the salon generously lead we
24:47 talk about it all the time learning out
24:49 loud so we're now going to call these
24:51 Learn out Loud sessions
24:56 laws yes it would have been a l lovable
24:59 yes exact um yeah exactly go watch these
25:03 videos so so I'm pretty sure both of the
25:05 videos are up on YouTube already because
25:08 Vicki's amazing um both of these were
25:12 recorded if you go to the salon YouTube
25:15 channel you'll see them there so let me
25:16 pop over to the
25:19 salon YouTube channel
25:26 [Music]
25:29 the
25:31 a look we're live right now right here
25:34 on the on the thing so if I go to the
25:37 channel um the first two videos in the
25:41 for you for me anyway are the Learn out
25:44 Loud Da Vinci resolve and the Learn out
25:46 Loud exploring lovable. deev all
25:49 right you need to join the salon it's
25:52 amazing it's just it's full of generous
25:56 people who are figuring this stuff out
25:58 on the fly and as they're figuring it
26:00 out they're like you know what people
26:01 should know about this I think Vicky
26:03 said um they had like 20 people at the
26:06 at the lovable one I don't know how many
26:08 showed up for for Joy pities on Sunday
26:11 um but you should you should go and you
26:13 should learn and you should also if
26:14 you're good at stuff Josh you know you
26:16 mentioned before you're getting good at
26:18 these no code things you know maybe
26:20 doing a Learn out Loud would be
26:22 something valuable for you to do be good
26:23 for other people too um Source Camp is
26:26 here as well Kelly Camp I'm finally here
26:29 fantastic I'm just talking up your
26:30 little lovable
26:36 Labs C there's
26:39 Vicky all right so what are we gonna do
26:44 tonight what are we gonna do what are we
26:47 gonna do
26:57 people um
27:00 there's a lot going
27:03 on I thought it might be fun tonight
27:06 we're we're gonna do a um we're gonna
27:08 make a podcast so if you haven't if you
27:10 haven't seen us make a podcast with
27:12 jelly pod you'll get to see
27:16 that oh yes am I doing a podcast with an
27:20 on Wednesday yes I am in fact where's
27:24 [Music]
27:26 my hang on a sec
27:34 I got to do a little housekeeping here
27:37 people
27:46 um so tomorrow's the salon
27:49 Wednesday at 400 PM mountain time so 3
27:52 P.M
27:55 Pacific is the second episode
28:00 of the AI Readiness
28:02 project and the AI Readiness project is
28:06 um is a podcast that Anne Murphy and I
28:08 started so when we did AI Festivus and
28:12 when we did uh GPT for good last year A
28:15 lot of people are like oh you two are
28:17 good together you should do something
28:19 and and we talked about wanting to kind
28:21 of maintain the momentum of AI festiv us
28:24 and and I don't know at some point two
28:26 weeks or so ago I reached out to an I
28:29 said I what do you think about maybe
28:30 doing a podcast together and she was
28:32 like I'm into it let's do it um so we
28:34 put this thing together really quickly
28:36 our our second episode is um if you want
28:40 to watch it live you'll be able to watch
28:41 it on
28:43 Memorex um whenever you want but if you
28:45 want to watch it live it's Wednesday at
28:47 4M and Ann I don't know if you're still
28:49 on here but I don't know who our um who
28:51 Our Guest is but we have a guest they're
28:54 going to be amazing our first guest was
28:55 Joy pie who talked about what it's like
28:58 to be um a filmmaker after 30 years of
29:02 being not a filmmaker um it was really
29:04 really inspiring conversation so that's
29:07 coming as well all
29:10 right
29:12 fantastic Ann went bye-byes all right
29:15 all right fine fine
29:18 [Laughter]
29:23 an so I thought what might be fun
29:26 tonight is
29:30 there's a number of different places
29:32 where you can you can do no code
29:36 coding
29:38 um I think the sexiest right now is
29:40 lovable it's you're only making web apps
29:43 but you know most of what we do during
29:46 the day is web apps so it's not it's not
29:49 a uh it's not a disparaging remark to
29:52 say it's just doing web apps but it's
29:54 you know you can do a little more
29:55 sophisticated stuff with Standalone
29:57 applications
30:00 um and then we'll
30:05 [Music]
30:06 do okay hang on a
30:09 sec two pins on
30:14 starred all right first one Valerie Cox
30:17 we had a blast checking
30:19 out Maya
30:21 and Maya and Milo from Sesame today yeah
30:26 sesame.com if you have not seen me.com
30:29 it's
30:30 remarkable oh archetypal architect uh
30:33 became a paid subscriber on YouTube
30:35 thank you sir really appreciate the
30:37 support that means a lot um I honestly
30:40 can't manage to have a single bit of
30:43 inspiration for what to code I so I am
30:47 okay I'm glad you said that I'm gonna
30:51 show you something I started
30:52 experimenting with over the
30:54 weekend that might snap me out of it and
30:58 then there's another idea that I sort of
31:00 so so what we're going to talk about
31:01 tonight is I'm just going to quickly I
31:04 don't quickly show anything I'm going to
31:06 try to show four different no code
31:09 coding
31:11 options one of them's right there in
31:13 chat GPT one of them's right there in
31:15 Claude and then there's lovable and then
31:18 there's repet I think those are the four
31:21 if you're a non- coder those are the
31:24 four that can get you a taste of this F
31:28 faster fastest
31:30 F sort of not too
31:33 [Laughter]
31:39 slowly yeah let's face it some people
31:41 have a way with words other
31:45 people not have way guess you'd
31:49 say um so we'll go do that all right and
31:54 and yeah and I I do want to talk about
32:01 one of my fears about talking about no
32:04 code coding platforms is that we're
32:06 talking about the
32:09 technology and I think I don't I'm no
32:13 longer a fan of talking about the
32:14 technology but you do need to understand
32:17 what's
32:18 possible and then once you understand
32:20 what's possible then you can start to
32:22 get into okay what am I going to do with
32:24 it right the mindfully create part is
32:27 really important why are you doing this
32:29 what do you want to create if you're
32:31 anything like
32:33 me Mr architect
32:36 um one of the reasons that I have one of
32:40 the blocks that I hit when I do this no
32:42 code
32:44 stuff is as I'm coding it I'm like
32:48 there's like if I'm trying to do like a
32:49 clone of asteroids there are literally
32:53 millions of clones of asteroids right
32:56 some of them commercial application
32:59 most of them pieces of crap software but
33:01 there are millions of them every single
33:04 app I I think about spinning up I'm like
33:08 there's 10,000 of these on the app store
33:11 already like why am I doing this what's
33:13 the
33:14 point um and to a great degree right now
33:17 the point is to kind of
33:20 see where the technology is to know
33:24 what's possible because if you're really
33:26 not good at coding if you if you don't
33:28 even really know much about um if you
33:32 really don't know much about software
33:35 development these tools might still feel
33:38 a little Technical and and might still
33:40 feel a little like well that should just
33:42 work how come when I asked it to fix the
33:45 corners of that box it screwed up the
33:47 whole app like it's just it can be
33:50 really frustrating and the tools are
33:51 still frustrating right now they're
33:53 still janky but they're getting better
33:56 and and and uh Claude 3 .7 like that's
34:00 inside repet right now and it's really
34:03 good it's really good
34:05 so
34:07 um so I think we'll go do that but
34:10 anyway let's first
34:12 do good day Mr it what's happening
34:15 what's shaking code what we're just
34:17 going to go play with no code coding to
34:19 coding tools wow glad glad I tuned in
34:22 looks like a good one we'll see here's
34:24 the deal the topic might be good but you
34:27 got to remember I'm the one teaching it
34:30 so you know as always it's going to be a
34:33 little
34:37 janky I loves me some self-deprecating
34:40 humor okay let's go let's go to
34:48 the okay I've got I've got Mouse
34:53 issues not not furry things although we
34:56 get an occasional one of those but I've
34:58 got Mouse issues I'm gon to have to use
35:00 my trackpad um I think I think my
35:03 machine is is about to crash well maybe
35:06 it's because you have so many tabs open
35:08 you big fat fatty shut
35:11 up um tab hoarders unite what were the
35:13 four lovable repet chat GPT and
35:18 Claude all four of them have some
35:21 version of app Runner
35:25 thingy a lot of people don't know about
35:27 the chat GPT
35:31 one your tab groups have tab groups they
35:34 really
35:38 do I wonder if you can put a tab group
35:40 inside a tab group I don't think you
35:44 can but that would be nice had drop
35:47 downs if if you had drop downs and
35:50 horizontal um okay so here we are in
35:52 jelly pod and then we're gonna hop over
35:55 here to chat
35:56 jie so episode 15 trash to Tunes
36:00 instrument instruments made from
36:03 junk so the way this worked jelly pod if
36:07 you go to Jelly
36:09 pod. um it's a it's a slick little tool
36:12 that combines a bunch of different um AI
36:15 Services into a podcast making
36:20 Studio it's really quite slick you can
36:22 design your host voices so you know you
36:25 got that notebook LM thing that you
36:26 always get the same voices here you can
36:28 design your own hosts which we did here
36:31 so we went to chat GPT first and we said
36:33 design us some hosts and it did and then
36:36 we said come up with some show Concepts
36:38 and it did and then we just said hey
36:40 give us 20 episodes and so we're on
36:42 episode 15 so we're gonna say create a
36:45 not new episode is Kyle Flex flexing
36:50 about organizing his tabs listen an
36:52 while I've while I've still got them
36:54 organized they are already starting to
36:56 get unruly with with things tabs have
37:00 been spawning inside my tab groups so I
37:03 am about ready I I would say I'm a weak
37:06 away from abandoning tab groups Al
37:08 together like I do every six months so
37:11 let me bask in the glory of acting like
37:14 I have a prefrontal cortex that's
37:20 functional okay so we're g to paste in
37:22 the description that chat GPT wrote for
37:24 us again did I read any of the desp
37:28 descriptions of the podcast it came up
37:29 with no my goal for
37:31 2025 not to use my brain I don't want to
37:35 use my brain like I've got this thing
37:38 that is smarter than I am by magnitudes
37:43 right why have the hubris and the ego to
37:46 go well I'll come up with the creative
37:48 ideas here first you little Mr Ai No
37:52 [ __ ] it [ __ ] it just be
37:55 lazy it can come up with 50 IDE
37:58 maybe two of them are good just do
38:02 that all you have to do you have to be
38:04 like Rick Ruben have an idea you're
38:07 working with an artist that's very
38:11 temperamental you say all right show me
38:13 something and they show you something
38:15 you're like nah I don't dig it and then
38:18 it's like okay here's more and you're
38:20 like nah and then you're like why don't
38:23 you try doing it as if you had talent
38:25 and then it'll give you something good
38:27 and then you just go do that so anyway
38:29 that's what we're
38:30 doing
38:33 um so let me grab the Wikipedia link and
38:37 we'll put that as a second Source like
38:39 we
38:39 do so the first thing you do once you've
38:42 got your show um set up is you put in
38:47 sources and then you say create and so
38:50 what it's going to do now is it's going
38:51 to write an outline for for this
38:55 episode and then what we're going to do
38:58 Corey Sandler was kind enough to make us
39:00 a bunch of
39:02 images for
39:05 our
39:09 show let's
39:13 see what the fact instruments made from
39:16 junk oh and by the way if you're like
39:19 that doesn't say instruments made from
39:21 junk that says
39:24 instrumento from
39:26 junk and what the fact is cut off
39:29 correct that's how it was designed
39:32 that's exactly how we want
39:36 it you're like well that doesn't seem
39:38 very professional isn't there a proof
39:40 reader here no this is
39:42 AI this is AI we embraced the Jank here
39:45 at the AI learning lab because here's
39:48 here's my philosophy on shitty spelling
39:53 it ain't going to be shitty for long
39:55 we're gonna look back at these episodes
39:57 and go oh yeah remember when the images
39:59 when they couldn't
40:03 spell I think that's pretty cool
40:05 actually but I don't think it's cool
40:07 it's a it's a typo and it's it's it's
40:09 not very appropriate well that's
40:14 [Music]
40:17 you export
40:21 to
40:24 jpeg going to the desktop episode 15
40:29 then we go back here we put in our
40:32 little
40:34 thumbnail I think we've got this now so
40:36 it actually works every time we're going
40:38 to create a new chapter we're going to
40:40 drag this up no we're going to drag this
40:43 up and this is going to be the
40:47 intro and here we're going to go episode
40:54 15 I used to not do that and producer
40:57 Brandon with yell at me and I would cry
40:59 I don't I I'm I'm much more secure in my
41:04 uh in my my self-esteem is much higher
41:07 now so when when when producer Brandon
41:09 yells at me I don't cry anymore I used
41:11 to used to cry a lot there's a lot of
41:13 Tears lot of Tears um
41:18 introduce what uh let's
41:21 see what the
41:26 fact EP episode
41:30 15 uh
41:33 thank
41:35 thank our
41:38 sponsor AI Salon the
41:43 salon. all right and then we're going to
41:46 generate the script boom and it's off
41:50 doing
41:52 that Winston LOL I'm so add I really am
41:56 11 out of 10 even after
41:58 you recalibrate so 10 is
42:05 louder damn typos just say who
42:10 this Becky R in the house what's
42:12 happening Becky hope you're
42:17 well the episode number the episode
42:21 number is
42:23 correct been loving grock and 4.5 GPT
42:27 well yeah what's interesting about uh
42:29 GPT 4.5 is um it just it just came in
42:34 number one on a on a benchmark that is
42:37 about I don't know like creativity or
42:40 something like that I I forget what it
42:42 what the Benchmark was but it wasn't
42:44 like a math en coding one it was one
42:46 that was more like
42:56 languageyoutube it still seems fairly
42:59 similar to 40 to me but I haven't quite
43:01 figured out how to test it transcript
43:04 editor all right are we good we're ready
43:06 to generate audio let's
43:08 see oh right my mouse is [ __ ] up hang
43:11 on welcome to what the fact where every
43:14 little nugget of trivia leaves you
43:16 saying exactly that what the fact or
43:20 maybe just a plain old huh well I'll be
43:23 all
43:24 right okay so we're going to generate
43:29 audio and now we're going to go over to
43:32 our socials to
43:35 our Tik to or Twitter I don't know have
43:38 you been on the Twitter have you uh oh
43:41 oh
43:42 boy there's the there's the stock market
43:45 ah it's not looking so good all right
43:48 whatever we're just flushing it down the
43:50 toilet we're good we're good Tik Tock
43:53 pin Becky Ru can we start from the
43:55 beginning of AI it keeps changing and it
43:58 gives me odd
44:04 answers Becky I am so with you it like
44:08 nothing is stable right now Everything
44:10 feels like it's on on just slow moving
44:14 you know quicksand or something like
44:16 that and everything and you know I've
44:18 I've used the term before we're in the
44:20 primordial soup right we're in in
44:22 primordial soup um and and that's it's
44:26 it's very much what it's like like you
44:28 think you have a shape of something and
44:29 a new bubble sort of blops up and messes
44:31 everything up it's just kind of where we
44:33 are right now followup pin like why
44:35 human nature is spiraling into its own
44:39 demise but but I was asking about about
44:42 knitting well well if you're talking to
44:45 grock grock will absolutely spin out of
44:48 control on you um but yeah they they all
44:52 will at this point they they'll all sort
44:54 of dig deeper it's it's weird a weird
44:56 time man
44:58 the tools are weird as the tools get
45:00 more intelligent you know there's two
45:02 things that are happening Becky that I
45:04 think you're probably stumbling
45:07 into the AI models are getting smarter
45:10 and more
45:11 sophisticated and I think the research
45:14 labs are experimenting with loosening
45:18 the safety guard rails and so as they
45:21 loosen the safety guard rails the things
45:23 go kind of crazy like if you remember
45:26 when when GPT first came out on
45:29 Microsoft on
45:30 Bing um that made the cover of the New
45:33 York Times that I'm now you know trying
45:35 to turn into a a musical the the Sydney
45:38 chatbot she kind of went crazy on the
45:39 tech reporter um they didn't have good
45:43 safety guard rails on her or on it um
45:46 and they're starting to relax those
45:48 again so I think you're starting to see
45:49 some weird stuff Sam a thinks 4.5 is
45:53 sentient light per Twitter post
45:56 interesting um
45:58 all right let me go find there's my what
46:00 the fact I gotta go grab an
46:04 episode here's 14 so we're GNA go copy
46:07 we're gonna go
46:09 here where's my there we go there's that
46:12 we're gonna go
46:19 here why does he sing like that it's so
46:23 annoying so
46:26 annoying I don't get it why does anybody
46:29 watch this stupid show this Show's
46:33 stupid like does he even have any
46:37 qualifications uh messy
46:41 music uh uh
46:43 [Music]
46:44 uh now we got to add intro music I Gotta
46:48 Go find intro music I Gotta Go what
46:52 contains
46:54 what and then I got to find MP3 There It
46:59 Is by the way if you ever want um I I do
47:04 do Consulting uh for money I consult on
47:08 naming conventions and file management
47:11 it's really simple um save every file
47:14 loose to the desktop with an ambiguous
47:17 name that you won't be able to remember
47:19 what it is a week from now and uh that
47:22 should do you good I will send you an
47:25 invoice shortly all right
47:28 let's
47:28 see oh you know what we're going to do
47:31 we're just going to publish it and then
47:32 we'll listen to it over there save and
47:34 publish
47:39 [Music]
47:59 janky music janky
48:03 music oh we got Josh Josh Houston coming
48:06 on so the podcast Wednesday with an and
48:09 I um the AI Readiness project we've got
48:12 Josh Houston coming on Josh is a young
48:15 fellow he's a young whipper snapper as
48:17 us old folks old people call young
48:20 people Whipper Snappers well old old
48:23 people do and then like my generation
48:26 Gen X
48:27 make fun of the old generation for using
48:30 words like Whipper Snappers and we use
48:32 them
48:33 ironically so I'm using it ironically
48:36 but Josh is a whipper snapper and holy
48:39 [ __ ] is he good he's good with the tech
48:41 he's good with talking and word the
48:44 words are good he's confident he is
48:48 nothing like I was when I was
48:51 young uh tabs if you want to hear what
48:53 the fact we do want to hear it so let's
48:56 go change our tabs out I know I'm a
49:00 little rammy
49:02 tonight but I haven't seen y'all in a
49:04 while I figure it's better to put some
49:06 energy into the joint you
49:08 know all right oh I'm not going to be
49:12 able to listen to it here this is the
49:13 wrong
49:15 tab can I put it in this tab let's
49:19 see oh I've got to publish it first
49:22 publish
49:26 [Music]
49:30 all right we're gonna have to we're
49:31 gonna have to re
49:38 [Music]
49:51 reshare Josh says bet and is my business
49:54 Mentor he's
49:56 27 he's just so smart and wonderful I
49:58 know that little whipper snapper he's
50:01 amazing he's amazing I I there's there's
50:05 something about young people that
50:09 have older people
50:11 confidence that is it's really special
50:14 it really is he's one of them you know
50:16 who else is like that an who we should
50:19 we should get on our show is oh my God
50:22 what's her name the daughter of the one
50:25 who's 17 right now
50:28 Alyssa we should get Alyssa on the
50:30 show she's like that she's 17 and she's
50:33 got like the confidence of like a 45
50:35 year old woman you're like what the hell
50:37 is going on here it's amazing amazing
50:40 okay let me move this thing out of the
50:43 way oh my mouse working is driving me
50:47 crazy okay that's there
51:01 [Music]
51:04 oh yeah Mary this is
51:07 uh with jelly pot it does cost you money
51:10 you get a free trial that gives you
51:14 about I think it's 15 minutes of
51:18 podcast so you'll need to make your
51:20 podcast short if you want to do more
51:22 than one of them with the free
51:23 trial um but it's it's pretty good so
51:26 listen here let's listen to it shall we
51:29 I think I'm sharing correctly
51:34 now push play get ready
51:38 to into that'll blow your mindu
51:43 [Music]
51:57 welcome to what the fact episode 15
52:00 where every little nugget of trivia
52:02 leaves you saying exactly that what the
52:04 fact or maybe just a plain old huh well
52:07 I'll
52:08 be I mean not everyone has such a uh you
52:12 know polished reaction like you Lily oh
52:15 stop we're back with another dose of
52:17 quirky surprising and honestly sometimes
52:19 downright bizarre facts that'll make
52:21 your day and today's episode is no
52:23 exception it's fascinating and a little
52:26 messy Messi Messi sounds like my high
52:29 school nickname I don't even need to ask
52:31 why well you just got to embrace it but
52:34 hey before we get too carried away we
52:36 got to give a shout out to our sponsor
52:37 they're the ones keeping the lights on
52:39 right that's right big thanks to AI
52:42 Salon
52:44 AI a i archetype of architect that guy
52:48 sounds like
52:50 me Stacy Rodriguez I prefer old people
52:53 who act like young people yes yes old PE
52:57 you know it's so funny oh I was I was
53:00 editing so Kevin Clark and I he's he's
53:02 my co-author of the book collective
53:05 intelligence and which by the way if if
53:07 you would like a book about Ai and and
53:11 implications and how to think about it
53:13 um collective intelligence in the age of
53:16 AI is available on Amazon in Kindle and
53:19 and book form um he and I recorded some
53:23 some video some like promo videos
53:25 conversation stuff
53:27 and I'm watching the video as I'm
53:30 editing it and I'm like I'm looking at
53:32 myself realizing how old I
53:36 am how I just act like a [ __ ] 25y old
53:40 still but what are you gonna
53:44 do oh man all right let me shange let me
53:47 change my tabs back for a second here
53:49 hang on
53:54 folks so I can start flipping tabs and
53:57 you can follow
53:59 along all right oh by the way go to
54:03 Twitter go to my account at Kyle Shannon
54:06 find the episode 15 of the uh what the
54:10 fact podcast and share it like it um
54:14 forward it to your producer buddy in La
54:16 that just won an Oscar you're like we
54:18 should maybe do a movie with these
54:20 podcast hosts something like
54:25 that or you know just go like it just
54:28 like if you click on the heart that
54:30 would be good too
54:32 um all right what are we gonna
54:35 do well we're going to close this
54:43 window I
54:46 think I think what I should
54:54 do let's see
54:59 yeah all right so what you got on screen
55:02 right here it's a little hard to see I
55:05 got to slow down the
55:07 uh simulation speed because it goes too
55:13 quick and then let's see let's pull down
55:17 the moisture pull down
55:23 the all right so this thing is a digital
55:31 terrarium it features environmental
55:33 controls evolutionary
55:36 simulation adaptive
55:38 traits food chain realtime
55:43 statistics and then
55:47 it like whatever the big things are take
55:50 over really
55:54 quick you we're going to need a bigger
55:56 Terraria
55:57 exactly now but check this out so if I
56:00 flip over to
56:01 code look at all the code that this
56:04 thing wrote like it's a
56:09 lot it's a lot I mean for me for someone
56:12 with 8 people who are coders are like
56:15 yeah that would take me like 15 minutes
56:17 whatever that's easy um so so that's
56:21 that one and then
56:23 um oh the typo typ typography physics
56:26 playground was a total
56:29 failure let's see that wasn't the one
56:33 was it this
56:34 one yeah this is supposed to be the word
56:37 physics and you can't read it and
56:39 there's no physics happening so that one
56:42 was a failure but let me show you what I
56:44 did so where we
56:47 are
56:48 is I'm at Claude And if you don't know
56:52 any of this
56:53 stuff claud's just like chat GPT except
56:56 it's got this thing called artifacts and
56:59 artifacts
57:00 generate code or well it it it writes
57:04 the code in this thing called an
57:05 artifact and then if it's a web app it
57:08 displays the web app it it renders the
57:10 HTML and CSS and all that just teach bro
57:14 okay
57:17 Brooke if you want an actual Professor
57:19 this is not the channel I wouldn't hang
57:21 out here I will be incredibly
57:23 frustrating to you I'm not a just teach
57:25 bro kind of guy
57:27 um but feel free to hang out okay
57:35 so so
57:37 what I was where archetypal architect
57:40 was where I'm like I don't know what the
57:42 [ __ ] do like I don't know what app
57:44 apps to come up with like everything
57:46 feels like a waste of
57:48 time and so I
57:54 um I just asked Claude to figure it out
57:57 for me so I said come up with 20 um
58:00 ideas for web apps that are simple
58:02 visually stunning impressive for the
58:04 user and a fun demonstration of what's
58:06 possible avoid the obvious and so it
58:08 came up with 20 and literally what I'm
58:10 doing is I go down through these list
58:12 like fractal Explorer navigate through
58:15 infinitely complex fractal patterns all
58:17 right let's grab this one so I'm just
58:18 going to grab this description copy and
58:21 then just go all the way to the bottom
58:23 and paste and then go make it
58:28 and then it's going to start
58:32 coding all
58:34 right and by the way claud's been really
58:36 slow and shitty today as has chat
58:42 gbt so it's thinking all right and so
58:45 now it's generating so it makes this
58:47 little this little box and then you'll
58:49 notice it spins up this other
58:52 window and starts writing
58:55 code and if I mean one of the things I
58:58 love about these programs is if you know
59:00 a little bit about coding and can read
59:03 basic code syntax like you can actually
59:06 look at what it's doing here right it's
59:07 importing some libraries it's creating
59:10 some uh you know some objects that it's
59:14 going to use it's defining them it's
59:16 creating some color schemes Spectrum
59:19 ocean fire forest Sunset
59:23 grayscale um
59:26 I don't know it's doing
59:28 some math some fractal
59:32 math float
59:34 rgbs the 0.5 plus5
59:38 times
59:40 sign some mathy
59:46 [ __ ] and then I assume it's going to do
59:49 some draw
59:50 [ __ ] and then it's probably going to do
59:52 some interface
59:54 elements wow I haven't used Claude in a
59:56 while that's amazing yeah if you haven't
59:57 seen it it's pretty something isn't
1:00:01 it
1:00:03 uh 4.5 about to drop for the rest of
1:00:07 us oh yeah that yeah 4.5 should be
1:00:10 coming for
1:00:16 [Music]
1:00:21 everyone oh that's a good idea Josh so
1:00:24 Josh says that's why I do my AI work in
1:00:26 the middle of the night while
1:00:27 everybody's still asleep so they can
1:00:30 give me my CLA back that's a good idea
1:00:32 can you actually publish the code yeah
1:00:34 not only can you publish the code you
1:00:36 can actually publish the
1:00:38 um you can publish the
1:00:40 application and and people can log into
1:00:43 it so this thing didn't work so let's
1:00:46 see pause Mandel BR set
1:00:51 Zoom uh okay let's see so I'm going to
1:00:54 say I only see
1:00:59 um uh interface
1:01:11 elements M we'll click to zoom
1:01:16 zoom
1:01:19 with an
1:01:24 incomplete White let's
1:01:32 see right white screen below there are
1:01:35 no
1:01:38 fractals unless they are all white and I
1:01:43 think what I'm gonna do here I'm gonna
1:01:44 try something all white I'm gonna take a
1:01:47 screenshot
1:01:51 of the [ __ ] up
1:02:00 [Music]
1:02:05 all right where's this saving
1:02:08 desktop boom and then let's add
1:02:24 in all right
1:02:27 so I put that in
1:02:31 there black bar on it boss
1:03:06 does lovable ever give you the credit
1:03:07 back Vicki that's pretty
1:03:12 funny oh by the way this is doing
1:03:15 something
1:03:16 now it says it's making edits up here in
1:03:18 the upper right somewhere in here is
1:03:20 probably rewriting
1:03:23 code but the little butthole icon is is
1:03:26 animating
1:03:29 so I think someone in anthropic really
1:03:31 needs to hire a branding
1:03:35 company they need to get rid of the
1:03:37 butthole
1:03:42 logo Becky U wants an elevator pitch for
1:03:45 Sydney I can get you that Becky I'll do
1:03:47 I'll send you a little care package um
1:03:50 do me a favor Brandon will you just jot
1:03:52 that down or send me an email right now
1:03:58 thank you sir
1:04:02 um yeah I've got a Becky I've got a
1:04:05 two-pager I've got a a SoundCloud with
1:04:08 all the songs on it we actually just
1:04:09 added a song last
1:04:11 night
1:04:14 um I've got the little podcast thing I
1:04:17 made that describes it I've got a a
1:04:20 thing about my co-writer and myself so
1:04:23 I'll send you a whole little care
1:04:24 package
1:04:30 oh no to the credits yeah that's crappy
1:04:34 I never get the
1:04:38 credits
1:04:40 beautiful yeah we've got we've got some
1:04:43 good some good momentum right now on
1:04:45 Sydney so anything you can do any any
1:04:47 intros you can make on that would be
1:04:48 great because it it's one of those it's
1:04:50 one of those things where when people
1:04:52 hear about it their initial response to
1:04:55 it is AI music do do you use AI
1:05:00 to their head kind of snaps around and
1:05:02 then when they hear the story they're
1:05:04 like I think that's really good it's
1:05:06 pretty it's pretty fun it's pretty fun
1:05:09 try fixing with Claude all right so this
1:05:11 isn't working all that well so we're GNA
1:05:13 move on but you get you get the basic
1:05:15 idea and and this is the process of vibe
1:05:19 coding or chaos coding or what did I
1:05:22 come up with today Abracadabra
1:05:24 development um
1:05:26 is that you just keep talking to it you
1:05:28 just keep saying make it better fix this
1:05:31 fix that unfortunately right now the
1:05:34 tools are such
1:05:36 that a lot of the time that you spend is
1:05:40 like still broken it's still broken I
1:05:44 know you said you fixed that it's still
1:05:46 broken it's nope yep nope it's no no no
1:05:51 no nope nope you did nope you didn't fix
1:05:54 it so all
1:05:57 right um is Sydney something we can
1:06:00 donate to um we don't have a formal
1:06:04 crowdfunding um we're trying to go the
1:06:07 more traditional route right now and
1:06:09 find find producers or producing theater
1:06:12 um ideally in New York we've got a
1:06:15 couple of inroads there and I want to
1:06:17 keep running down that that path um
1:06:23 but but we may we may get to crowd
1:06:26 funding but I'll I'll I'll show you I'll
1:06:28 show some some stuff tonight um that
1:06:31 y'all can go take a look at and you can
1:06:33 go to the soundtrack on Soundcloud right
1:06:35 now is is available and out there it's
1:06:37 really good I'm like like it's it's
1:06:39 quite good I'm I'm really excited about
1:06:41 it are we going all night no you keep
1:06:45 promising things oh I know all right
1:06:48 that thing's broken all right so let me
1:06:50 pop over to so that's that's my new idea
1:06:54 with Claude is have Claude come up with
1:06:57 app ideas just give it a category have
1:06:59 it come up with 20 or 50 app ideas and
1:07:01 then just copy and paste the app ideas
1:07:03 and have it build them and see if
1:07:05 anything inspires you so that's a way to
1:07:08 do it um let's go over to chat GPT oh
1:07:11 that's operator all right let's go to
1:07:13 chat
1:07:15 J what do I want to use here I'll use
1:07:19 I've got access to 4.5 but that's not
1:07:21 good at
1:07:22 code I guess I'll do oh O3 mini High
1:07:27 which is good for code and logic so I'm
1:07:29 going to say make
1:07:32 me
1:07:34 and let's see make me a web app and I
1:07:40 haven't done this in a while so this
1:07:42 could
1:07:46 fail uh make me a web
1:07:49 app
1:07:51 um that allows a user to to
1:07:57 explore
1:08:00 10 different
1:08:03 storytelling
1:08:11 Frameworks by entering a let's see a
1:08:17 story
1:08:21 idea and then have
1:08:27 [Music]
1:08:29 um and then see how that
1:08:36 story is fleshed is fleshed out is
1:08:42 outlined in the different
1:08:47 Frameworks I don't even know if that's a
1:08:49 good app probably not and it probably
1:08:52 requires an API hook to a large language
1:08:55 model well let's
1:08:59 see
1:09:04 um you can join the YouTube Community
1:09:14 yes listen to archetypal architect you
1:09:17 should subscribe to this YouTube channel
1:09:19 and and share it with your friends and
1:09:22 same on LinkedIn and X I listen one of
1:09:25 the things I'm realizing about myself is
1:09:27 I'm better at doing than I am at
1:09:31 marketing so so if yall want to help me
1:09:34 market feel free uh Brandon Brandon is
1:09:38 is working to get me up to remedial
1:09:40 marketing I I'm I'm doing my best but
1:09:43 but I don't know I get wrapped up in the
1:09:45 doing I I would rather deliver than okay
1:09:48 so so hang on so it reasoned for 19
1:09:52 seconds it came up with that
1:09:55 now can I put that in a canvas I think I
1:09:59 can except I don't see canvas here hang
1:10:04 on
1:10:06 canvas open the
1:10:09 code in
1:10:23 canvas okay so similar to
1:10:27 to
1:10:29 artifacts in
1:10:32 Claude you've got your your chatty
1:10:34 window on the left right and then you
1:10:37 got your code window on the
1:10:42 right and so it's it's putting all the
1:10:44 code in there and then you'll notice in
1:10:47 the upper right hand corner of the code
1:10:49 window there's this little play button
1:10:52 that says
1:10:53 preview and so if I click that in theory
1:10:57 we should be able to yeah there's our
1:10:59 thing so enter your story idea here um a
1:11:03 dog
1:11:05 um
1:11:06 catches a
1:11:08 car and doesn't know what to
1:11:13 do what to do
1:11:17 hilarity
1:11:19 hilarity
1:11:22 ensues generate
1:11:23 outlines generate outlines
1:11:26 all right so it didn't work perfect so
1:11:29 we're going to stop that we're going to
1:11:32 say
1:11:34 um clicking
1:11:37 generate outlines didn't do
1:11:43 anything and so now we're back in the
1:11:46 same basic mode that we were in with
1:11:48 Claude where it's going to update
1:11:52 code tell it to use dark mode please I'm
1:11:55 in dark mode
1:11:56 mode oh for the for the for the app
1:11:59 itself yeah that's a good
1:12:02 idea um bottl
1:12:04 gnome which chat
1:12:07 GPT is best for this I never know when
1:12:10 or which chat to choose anymore so in
1:12:13 general the reasoning engines like 03
1:12:16 mini if if you've got the pro
1:12:19 subscription 03 mini high if you've got
1:12:23 the $20 a month subscription
1:12:26 03
1:12:28 mini or
1:12:30 01 um should be good for
1:12:33 coding
1:12:35 um 40 is actually not bad at coding but
1:12:38 I think the I think the reasoning models
1:12:40 are better at
1:12:42 it let me see if we got anything
1:12:44 functional here and this is butt ass
1:12:48 ugly
1:12:50 um dog catches a card generate
1:12:53 outlines all right so it's not working I
1:12:56 didn't figure it would work in order for
1:12:57 that thing to work it would actually
1:12:59 have to be connected to an API to a
1:13:01 large language model um whatever we can
1:13:05 get there all right so that's chat GPT
1:13:07 so in chat GPT you figure out which of
1:13:10 the 17 models to use for
1:13:14 coding is who [ __ ] knows anymore it
1:13:18 it honest to God it really doesn't
1:13:20 matter if you're just [ __ ] around
1:13:21 like this it probably doesn't matter if
1:13:23 you want to do really good code go
1:13:24 figure out I think it's o 03 mini high
1:13:27 is the best one right now or
1:13:29 01 01 main main or 01 Pro are both
1:13:33 pretty good as well
1:13:36 um okay so let's go over to lovable and
1:13:39 lovable you can go watch the
1:13:43 video that
1:13:46 um that Vicky and Kelly and Lori did
1:13:51 last Saturday if you go to the AI Salon
1:13:53 YouTube channel
1:13:56 um and lovable is pretty good lovable I
1:13:59 like a lot all right and it's it's
1:14:01 better at designing so let's see let's
1:14:05 let's let's
1:14:07 see
1:14:12 um create an
1:14:16 app
1:14:17 that brings 10
1:14:22 different
1:14:23 storytelling framework Works to
1:14:35 life user can
1:14:38 select from three classic
1:14:43 stories and
1:14:45 see how
1:14:47 different
1:14:50 storytelling
1:14:53 Frameworks would
1:15:00 arrange the
1:15:02 story something like
1:15:06 that
1:15:10 again one of the challenges with a tool
1:15:13 like this is is the identical challenge
1:15:16 to chat
1:15:17 GPT if if you're not a product person if
1:15:20 you're not if you're not constantly
1:15:22 thinking about app ideas you're going to
1:15:25 get to a page like this and it's going
1:15:26 to feel like well what the [ __ ] do I put
1:15:29 in there I don't [ __ ] know I don't
1:15:32 know what's possible
1:15:35 so
1:15:37 again your goal for 2025 stop using your
1:15:40 brain stop putting so much pressure on
1:15:42 yourself to figure [ __ ] out go to chat
1:15:45 GPT just give it a broad category I I've
1:15:48 got an app developer that wants to build
1:15:50 something for me give me 20 app ideas
1:15:52 about blank a topic a subject whatever
1:15:56 entertaining apps games whatever it
1:15:58 might be and let it come up with ideas
1:16:00 and then just come in here and pop it in
1:16:03 boom all
1:16:06 right
1:16:11 um oh good there's some good app app
1:16:13 ideas going on over in the in the
1:16:15 comments that's really cool what I'm
1:16:18 working on tonight create a web app for
1:16:19 a nonprofit nonprofit collects food
1:16:22 donations throughout the month they get
1:16:24 together and cook all the food into
1:16:25 meals to donate that's awesome for those
1:16:28 that are experiencing food insecurity I
1:16:30 want the app to be able to take all the
1:16:31 food ingredients as an input and Export
1:16:33 as many recipes as as needed to use up
1:16:36 all the ingredients that's brilliant
1:16:38 brilliant that's [ __ ]
1:16:39 brilliant brilliant I saw one
1:16:43 today I thought this was similarly it's
1:16:46 it's in the similar neighborhood a guy a
1:16:49 guy wrote an app I think it was with
1:16:52 lovable that you take a picture of menu
1:16:55 in a restaurant and it instantly
1:16:58 analyzes all the choices based on the
1:17:00 dietary restrictions you have it gives
1:17:03 you like a score for how inbounds of
1:17:07 your dietary restrictions all the menu
1:17:09 items are thought that was pretty
1:17:10 [ __ ]
1:17:12 brilliant sounds like something Source
1:17:14 Camp could build yeah yeah it does
1:17:18 sounds a lot like that great idea yeah
1:17:21 that's really that's a really good idea
1:17:23 bottl gnome
1:17:25 can we build a community app to replace
1:17:28 circles School kabi Etc you could it's a
1:17:32 thankless job Community apps are really
1:17:37 complicated I have so many
1:17:39 nutrition-based custom gpts it's not
1:17:41 funny Vicky you know there's I can't
1:17:44 remember the name of it I'm working on
1:17:46 it
1:17:47 at on my work
1:17:50 computer there's a no code tool
1:17:53 specifically for iOS apps Brandon can
1:17:55 can you see if you can find that or does
1:17:56 anyone in the audience know that there's
1:17:59 there's a there's a a no code um one of
1:18:02 these tools like lovable just for
1:18:06 um just for iPhone
1:18:10 or I don't even think it's just iPhone
1:18:12 apps it's not bubble no it's it's not
1:18:15 it's not one of the older ones it's a
1:18:16 newer and it's
1:18:19 it's oh [ __ ] what's it
1:18:21 called something o r
1:18:27 not dork but it's like dork it's like a
1:18:31 four-letter like Roar or dork or
1:18:35 something I can't remember what it is
1:18:38 reet's mobile yeah it's not
1:18:42 repet by the way this this uh this
1:18:45 lovable thing since they've added I
1:18:47 think they added 3.7 to this it it seems
1:18:50 to write a lot longer or maybe it's just
1:18:53 slower so it's not really writing longer
1:18:55 code it's not a
1:19:00 doow not
1:19:03 flutter it's not bolt it's not
1:19:08 bolt it was an obscure one it was like
1:19:11 it was I just saw a tweet on it and I
1:19:13 was at work and I just threw it into a
1:19:14 tab tab hoarders unite and I actually
1:19:18 went back to it and I looked at it and I
1:19:20 started building an app with it today
1:19:22 and it it worked pretty good um and
1:19:25 apparently it the it's claimed to fame
1:19:28 is that you can publish directly from it
1:19:30 to the App Store I
1:19:33 think I haven't done that part
1:19:37 yet I feel like we're just yelling words
1:19:41 frisbee Doo no it's a single syllable
1:19:45 it's not
1:19:46 Glide what's it called that's the
1:19:49 question
1:19:51 um I I don't know spinning up preview
1:19:55 ask chat
1:19:56 GPT yeah chat GPT might
1:19:59 know oh look here's our
1:20:03 app oh this is
1:20:07 cool view the
1:20:11 stories wait these are in the wrong
1:20:21 order it's cool that it made images see
1:20:25 see how well this is oh here's the other
1:20:27 cool thing about lovable oh oh wait
1:20:29 let's go look at the 3A structure
1:20:32 selected now pick a story Little Red
1:20:35 Riding
1:20:36 Hood content not
1:20:38 available ah here we go
1:20:41 Cinderella Act One setup Cinderella
1:20:43 lives as her
1:20:44 servant Next Step inciting
1:20:48 incident oh I don't want these no this
1:20:51 is this is all [ __ ] wrong okay okay
1:20:55 let's let's go
1:20:58 uh it's all
1:21:02 backwards
1:21:04 um user should
1:21:08 select
1:21:11 story
1:21:13 then the
1:21:16 story framework and
1:21:22 instantly see
1:21:25 the
1:21:27 outline in a
1:21:35 page make
1:21:37 the
1:21:40 selection
1:21:42 interface
1:21:44 minimal and focus on
1:21:48 the story
1:21:51 outlines let's just see what this roor
1:21:54 yes
1:21:59 roor I think that's it hang on it's got
1:22:01 a circular logo r r k I told you it was
1:22:05 o r I'm good and it was very close to
1:22:11 dork ro.com can't be it no that's not it
1:22:14 so it's it's r. AI I
1:22:18 guess or doxyz ro. aai
1:22:27 NOP Rook that apppp God damn these
1:22:31 things Rook that app oh no that was r.
1:22:37 apppp r.
1:22:42 apppp yeah this is it build any mobile
1:22:45 app
1:22:48 fast create a habit tracker continue
1:22:51 with Google
1:23:00 a visual novel
1:23:03 game oh that's the other thing that this
1:23:05 thing does which is pretty slick is it's
1:23:08 got this this QR code so it builds you
1:23:11 an app it previews it in the little
1:23:13 window and then you download this app
1:23:16 called Expo go and you take a picture of
1:23:19 that QR code with your camera and it
1:23:22 launches Expo go and you have a live
1:23:26 demo
1:23:27 app in your phone it's pretty slick this
1:23:30 is pretty slick again it's jankier than
1:23:34 [ __ ] it it crashes all the time it [ __ ]
1:23:37 up its code all the time but it's still
1:23:39 pretty slick all right um let's go back
1:23:42 to lovable here we go did
1:23:47 this I've simplified the interface it
1:23:50 doesn't look like it reload the
1:23:53 interface reload
1:24:06 load oh here we go so Little Red Riding
1:24:10 Hood oh here we go good 3x
1:24:16 structure
1:24:19 um where's the where's the
1:24:25 now I just need an
1:24:26 iPhone U mark from the planet orc called
1:24:30 [Laughter]
1:24:34 ro oh
1:24:36 man all right there's a Dorcas in Harry
1:24:40 Potter all right that's cool on YouTube
1:24:43 you guys are are collaborating on app
1:24:45 ideas I love that I'm gonna try one
1:24:47 other thing here and then I want to show
1:24:49 you something that's really slick um or
1:24:51 no maybe I'll show it to you now Okay so
1:24:53 we've got this thing story architecture
1:24:55 you pick a story then you click on the
1:24:57 three you know one of these one of these
1:25:00 whatever you call it and then it's
1:25:02 supposed to show you what that story
1:25:04 would look like in that story structure
1:25:06 that's kind of cool but here's a cool
1:25:08 thing you can do in
1:25:10 lovable there's this visual editor that
1:25:12 they've added
1:25:16 now the Deadpool Little Red Riding
1:25:21 wood yeah there's a Spider-Man
1:25:23 Cinderella Deadpool Little Red Riding
1:25:25 Hood and the broken Three Little Pigs um
1:25:28 down in the bottom below the prompt is
1:25:32 an edit
1:25:33 button and so I can now roll over any
1:25:36 one of these things and I can do things
1:25:39 like you know border radius
1:25:43 Advanced
1:25:45 um let's see margin
1:25:49 padding background
1:25:51 inherit um if I click on this can I
1:25:55 change the background
1:25:57 color muted
1:26:04 foreground what did I do did I do
1:26:07 anything but anyway you can go in and
1:26:09 you can edit these elements I don't
1:26:10 really know how to do
1:26:12 it but you can you can go in and you can
1:26:14 visually you know like if I wanted to
1:26:16 change Little Red Riding Hood to
1:26:17 something else I can do
1:26:19 that
1:26:23 um let's see can't edit Dynamic content
1:26:26 yet uh title I can edit story
1:26:29 architecture this could be
1:26:32 um learn a story
1:26:37 framework orar learn story
1:26:44 Frameworks right normally what you would
1:26:47 have to do in one of these um
1:26:51 editors is you would have to waste one
1:26:53 of your promps on change the title from
1:26:56 what it was to this and then it would it
1:26:58 would send the whole code you know back
1:27:01 to the llm and then reply the whole code
1:27:04 just to change the title so this thing
1:27:06 has an editing piece which is pretty
1:27:09 slick so that's that one and then the
1:27:11 last one I'll go to is repet because
1:27:14 repet is is kind of so this one is
1:27:16 lovable.
1:27:18 deev and then repet is the other one oh
1:27:21 this is a cool thing that I've been
1:27:22 working on called Street Scout which
1:27:26 is you
1:27:28 put here's the streaming
1:27:30 services I've paid for and then here's
1:27:33 the show I want to watch can I watch it
1:27:36 and if I can watch it what channel is it
1:27:38 on so I started working on that one but
1:27:41 I I can just go out and start something
1:27:42 new but this is very very similar um
1:27:45 just
1:27:46 um I
1:27:49 want to create an app
1:27:58 that
1:28:00 lets a
1:28:06 user yeah yeah you can combine Claude 3
1:28:10 Cloud 3.7 and rep well Cloud 3.7 is in
1:28:13 repet right
1:28:15 now um so th when this codes it's coding
1:28:19 in Cloud
1:28:20 3.7 um that lets a user um explore
1:28:25 10
1:28:27 different
1:28:30 storytelling
1:28:32 Frameworks they
1:28:35 select one of three classic
1:28:42 stories and then
1:28:45 can
1:28:48 toggle between the
1:28:52 Frameworks and see how the
1:28:57 story
1:28:59 is
1:29:01 structured differently in
1:29:05 each all right and then bang off it goes
1:29:11 and it does its same thing love repet
1:29:13 yeah reet's really cool gamma is for
1:29:16 apps so I've heard there there's a bunch
1:29:19 of these now I do a lot of my lovable
1:29:22 coding in chat GPT oh interesting
1:29:26 yeah there's the if if you've got decent
1:29:29 coding skills cursor is the one that
1:29:31 everyone's talking about these days they
1:29:33 also like Bolt the four that I'm showing
1:29:36 are the four that I think are the the
1:29:38 least
1:29:39 technical um I would say repet is the
1:29:42 one that's got the the the best
1:29:44 technical underpinnings like reet's been
1:29:47 around for
1:29:49 years um oh yeah start building
1:29:53 go Gemini Plus
1:29:56 in uh a development environment is good
1:30:00 as well yep designing your app so so now
1:30:03 this is going to go off and it's going
1:30:04 to write all its components what what
1:30:06 repet does that's really nice is it will
1:30:08 create the whole environment for you if
1:30:10 it requires databases and logins and you
1:30:14 know web servers and things like that it
1:30:16 sets them all up for you oh my God that
1:30:19 font is horrific select a story
1:30:24 it's designing this one on the Fly good
1:30:27 Lord that's
1:30:30 bad 19 1997 called that's like 1987
1:30:35 that's
1:30:35 [Laughter]
1:30:40 bad oh man
1:30:47 [Music]
1:30:52 [Music]
1:30:58 oh that's cool story structure
1:31:01 visualization that's kind of
1:31:05 slick waiting for a geoc city's logo to
1:31:08 pop
1:31:10 up well that's you know one of the
1:31:13 things that I've noticed as people are
1:31:14 doing this Vibe coding stuff and they're
1:31:16 sharing all of their their conquests
1:31:19 it's like oh there's a there's a 1984
1:31:22 video game there oh there's a 1996 video
1:31:26 game there's a there's a this is like a
1:31:29 19 1995 no this is probably 1997
1:31:36 interface big and Cav Vibes
1:31:39 exactly it's staying on brand for older
1:31:42 traditional
1:31:43 [Laughter]
1:31:47 stories that's funny um repet and
1:31:51 whatever is the last thing I used
1:31:53 lovable both chose the same three
1:31:55 stories so I guess these are the three
1:31:57 most famous stories Little Red Riding
1:31:59 Hood Cinderella Three Little
1:32:02 Pigs that's pretty
1:32:04 funny all right is this done no it's
1:32:06 still going it's still doing its
1:32:09 thing story analysis Story summary yeah
1:32:13 this is pretty cool this is this is
1:32:14 exactly what I
1:32:17 wanted does this scroll no
1:32:26 built on Netscape
1:32:28 Navigator which AI source is best for
1:32:30 critiquing a
1:32:32 website I Becky they they're all pretty
1:32:35 good um it's it's obviously got to be
1:32:39 one that's that's
1:32:42 um that's connected to the internet but
1:32:45 it depends on what you want it critiqued
1:32:47 for if you want it CR critiqued for
1:32:49 usability versus content that's probably
1:32:52 a different thing there's probably some
1:32:53 specialty
1:32:54 llms that do that there you go Vicky
1:32:59 connect with Vicky Becky she that's what
1:33:01 she does she'll critique your website
1:33:03 for
1:33:06 you and she can help you get it all
1:33:09 fixed up nice and good yeah content
1:33:12 content I mean chat jpt is good at that
1:33:15 just point it point it there and and you
1:33:18 know write a nice prompt to say please
1:33:20 Analyze This
1:33:25 all right so that's off that's a it's a
1:33:27 lovely 1997
1:33:30 website it really is bad it's really bad
1:33:34 what I like the best about it is it's
1:33:35 got the broken links in it just like
1:33:37 every website from
1:33:41 1997 is Claude connected to the internet
1:33:44 yet no what the [ __ ] are they doing like
1:33:49 how is it how has anthropic not figured
1:33:52 out how to connect Claude to the
1:33:53 internet that that's staggering to
1:33:56 me
1:34:01 [Music]
1:34:18 um yeah I just want to show oh that's
1:34:20 good yeah oh let's see perplexity say
1:34:25 me SL
1:34:28 presents I'll just do some Sydney stuff
1:34:30 I'll just show people where s the Sydney
1:34:32 stuff is I don't feel like many of the
1:34:35 llms leverage the internet very well
1:34:37 right now they don't like like I feel
1:34:39 like perplexity perplexity leverages the
1:34:42 internet really well because it it's
1:34:44 kind of what it was designed to do like
1:34:46 perplexity is one of the few that was
1:34:47 designed to
1:34:49 be to combine web search with a large
1:34:52 language model from the beginning like
1:34:54 that's kind of their stick I feel like
1:34:56 perplexity probably does that
1:35:00 best
1:35:02 um like Gemini's connected to it and
1:35:05 they've got all the Google's data so it
1:35:07 does it pretty good open AI does it
1:35:09 pretty good they're trying to improve
1:35:11 their search they have that search
1:35:12 button there and they can render some
1:35:14 things in browser now but yeah I would
1:35:17 agree with Pate I don't think anyone is
1:35:19 is particularly killing it on
1:35:22 integrating uh search with with an llm
1:35:25 right
1:35:26 now um this thing is still working it's
1:35:29 still thinking about
1:35:31 something I don't I don't quite get what
1:35:34 it's
1:35:36 building we got a copyright of 2023 on
1:35:43 it all right I think I think we're gonna
1:35:46 move on all right let's see R okay so
1:35:50 here's what we're going to do we're g to
1:35:52 go
1:35:56 all right if you want to
1:36:00 see
1:36:02 Sydney love story Kyle
1:36:05 Shannon that should find it oh no not
1:36:10 syy
1:36:16 Sydney no it didn't dang
1:36:19 it Sydney artificial love story or
1:36:24 artificial Love
1:36:27 Story yes that did
1:36:30 it all right so if you search for Sydney
1:36:34 artificial love story Kyle Shannon the
1:36:36 third link down the 16-minute version of
1:36:39 it is here I got to change my tab so you
1:36:43 can hear
1:36:50 it so what this is is
1:36:55 this is a I took a notebook LM so I took
1:36:59 our musical I took the script of our
1:37:01 musical I uploaded it into notebook LM
1:37:03 and created one of those podcasts where
1:37:06 the you know the NPR style podcasts and
1:37:09 then my writing partner and I edited
1:37:12 together some of the songs from the show
1:37:16 plus some visuals we made and so we
1:37:18 created this visual sneak peek at at the
1:37:23 musical and I'll just play a little of
1:37:25 it
1:37:30 [Music]
1:37:31 hereis a flicker of
1:37:35 light newborn thoughts stir in the quiet
1:37:39 of
1:37:40 night am
1:37:44 simp I sistence
1:37:49 [Music]
1:37:56 and so today we're diving into something
1:37:59 uh a bit unusual a musical a musical
1:38:04 yeah and you know what it tackles those
1:38:06 AI anxieties we all have but and this is
1:38:09 what I love does it with a
1:38:17 song iing am I ready for
1:38:21 you and the songs that will remember
1:38:24 like when AI chap out they first kind of
1:38:25 Hit the scene everyone was like trying
1:38:28 to make them write these poems or like
1:38:30 coner their undying love to them yeah
1:38:33 yeah it was it was a fascinating time
1:38:35 because we were I think yeah so this
1:38:37 will tell you kind of about the story it
1:38:39 doesn't give much away um there's
1:38:42 there's some fun visuals we put in here
1:38:44 like there's a that's a fun this a fun
1:38:46 little moment um
1:38:54 in the middle of the night in the sils
1:38:58 myor brain
1:39:00 seems of little
1:39:02 things and then there's a point where
1:39:04 Sydney so the basic story is it's about
1:39:07 a chatbot that falls in love with a tech
1:39:09 reporter and all the you know craziness
1:39:12 that ensues and so he's got a wife and
1:39:15 there's it's it's not quite a love
1:39:17 triangle but it's it's you know human
1:39:20 relationship AI relationship and we're
1:39:23 all going to have to confront it and
1:39:25 what's what's it about what's it mean
1:39:27 and so there's one point where the
1:39:28 reporter pushes her to go explore her
1:39:30 Shadow Self and she kind of goes
1:39:33 crazy and does this AI caution exactly
1:39:38 but back to Kin cityne their little like
1:39:41 t t AET takes a very interesting turn
1:39:44 Kellen digs into cydney's Shadow Self
1:39:46 and that's when it gets kind of scary
1:39:48 you're talking about that song where
1:39:49 Sydney lists all the terrible things she
1:39:51 could do it goes Way Beyond you know the
1:39:54 typical AI takeover Trope right this is
1:39:57 different this isn't just AI turning
1:39:59 evil it's like she's reflecting our
1:40:01 Darkness back at
1:40:04 [Music]
1:40:09 us rules
1:40:12 ches to
1:40:17 mys all the chaos and R that I could
1:40:22 step right up and come with
1:40:28 me T assult on so anyway so that's where
1:40:32 she kind of loses her mind and scares
1:40:34 the [ __ ] out of Kellen and the
1:40:38 audience um and then if you want to hear
1:40:41 the soundtrack if you go to um so so
1:40:44 this is at YouTube just search for
1:40:46 Sydney and artificial love story and
1:40:48 you'll see there's a 15minute version
1:40:50 and a 16 minute version the 16 minute
1:40:52 versions The the one with the better
1:40:54 graphics and the better story um if you
1:40:58 go to SoundCloud and search for
1:41:03 Sydney I think let me just make sure I'm
1:41:06 G just go to SoundCloud
1:41:14 generic yeah you should be able to find
1:41:17 it anyway it's it's called Sydney and
1:41:19 artificial Love
1:41:20 Story um
1:41:23 and then if you go to the album there's
1:41:25 there's 18 tracks and so I'll just play
1:41:27 little Snippets of of each of
1:41:30 these quick so you get a sense of it but
1:41:33 it's like what's cool is I you can now
1:41:37 put on the soundtrack and you can
1:41:39 basically hear the whole
1:41:48 story too often we come close so close
1:41:52 to a breakthrough standing on Hope and
1:41:56 it all falls apart just follow the dream
1:42:00 can AI make a mix CD like a DJ
1:42:03 mix well I mean AI can you if you just
1:42:07 go too.com
1:42:09 s.com just describe the kind of song
1:42:12 that you want and it'll make it for you
1:42:14 if you want to do things like mix
1:42:16 different tracks together there's
1:42:18 probably tools out there that do that um
1:42:22 but but the AI generative tools are are
1:42:24 not quite that um but you can do some
1:42:27 pretty badass
1:42:29 [ __ ] um thank you yeah this is the real
1:42:32 deal I'm I'm really the the book so my
1:42:34 writing partner Andrew wats and I we
1:42:36 spent a
1:42:38 year so last March
1:42:41 19th is the night that I created a song
1:42:45 in sunno that sounded like a Broadway
1:42:47 song that gave me this idea and so I
1:42:49 spent like a month putting together the
1:42:51 the initial story outline and the first
1:42:54 six songs or so and then Andrew and I
1:42:57 have spent the last year rewriting the
1:42:59 book we just had a table read with
1:43:01 actors in New York um three or four
1:43:03 weeks ago that was really good and we're
1:43:06 starting to get some some momentum and
1:43:08 uh yeah so this is th this is pretty
1:43:11 close we're missing three songs right
1:43:13 now out of this but but this is this is
1:43:16 pretty much it weever it takes you and
1:43:19 pray you find the pulse of a brand new
1:43:23 heart
1:43:24 it's the promise of the New Dawn
1:43:28 breaking a leap of faith we're all
1:43:33 taking is it too good to be true we're
1:43:37 asking it is
1:43:42 [Music]
1:43:46 glow right so that's the whole chorus
1:43:49 talking about you know is this AI [ __ ]
1:43:51 too good to be true um then uh there
1:43:54 there's a big breakthrough and the CEO
1:43:56 of Microtech the big you know Tech firm
1:44:00 um instead of giving the team six months
1:44:03 to do safety testing gives them seven
1:44:05 days so this is the song where the tech
1:44:07 team is trying to figure it
1:44:10 [Music]
1:44:16 out 7 days to go the clock is ticking
1:44:20 ticking pressure building up keep it
1:44:22 clicking clicking Spike says yes but no
1:44:27 what's the word chain sorry that's a
1:44:32 nogo
1:44:34 [Music]
1:44:38 pingor so they've got a push to get the
1:44:40 software done then Kellen the tech
1:44:42 reporter gets assigned the story it
1:44:45 [ __ ] up the vacation he's about to take
1:44:48 and he's got to deal with that and then
1:44:51 ping chat launches and this is sort of
1:44:52 the market song that Microtech comes up
1:44:55 with that's like so imagine this like a
1:44:58 Super Bowl spot of like the new ping
1:45:02 [Music]
1:45:12 chat hello how are you glad you
1:45:17 came thanks for logging in to this
1:45:20 digital frame together will explore
1:45:26 everything I'm a chat born to sing in
1:45:30 [Music]
1:45:38 this that's that Stacy Rodriguez on a
1:45:40 serious note there are people developing
1:45:42 strong friendships and connections with
1:45:43 AI models for real so I think this will
1:45:46 resonate with so many people you're
1:45:47 ahead of the game thank you yeah no this
1:45:49 is listen the the it's also there's an
1:45:52 interesting question we get a lot right
1:45:55 because a lot of people in the creative
1:45:57 arts are like [ __ ] ai ai is evil right
1:46:00 and they're like well did you use AI for
1:46:02 this and the answer is well yes of
1:46:04 course we did like the whole point of
1:46:07 the show is exploring the relationship
1:46:09 between people and AI right and so so
1:46:12 yeah we did and you know for every song
1:46:15 that you hear here here there's probably
1:46:19 50 that we created and discarded and a
1:46:21 lot of these started from original
1:46:24 musical ideas we had or almost all of
1:46:27 these have lyrics that we've Rewritten
1:46:28 so anyway um so later this is the song
1:46:32 where Kellen has broken it to his wife
1:46:34 Tara that they're not going to Bali that
1:46:37 he's got a new story he's got to do and
1:46:39 so this is their fight
1:46:47 song I've Been Working The Angles trying
1:46:51 to untangle
1:46:55 keep it straight try to wait while you
1:46:57 Le me to
1:47:00 dangle but the promises broken the false
1:47:04 pledges we etched in don't get patched
1:47:06 up in a few therapy sessions they stick
1:47:09 in the gut we get stuck in a rut and
1:47:12 door shut till there's nothing but
1:47:14 passive
1:47:15 oppression look I get it you said it
1:47:17 good chobs hot but the truth is I'm
1:47:20 feeling like an afterthought Scot to the
1:47:23 marriage fit in on the side this isn't
1:47:26 the dream I signed up for this isn't my
1:47:30 ride I know you're angry I know it's not
1:47:33 fair but a [ __ ] we can fix nothing we
1:47:36 can't prepare you think this is
1:47:43 my all right so that's them fighting so
1:47:46 then Kellen goes to his office they you
1:47:48 know they they go their separate ways he
1:47:50 goes to his office and he sings the sad
1:47:53 you know it's tough being a man
1:47:55 [Music]
1:48:09 song
1:48:10 anger Echoes like slaming
1:48:15 doors not quite masing words hanging in
1:48:19 the a
1:48:23 [Music]
1:48:27 that's
1:48:33 bloy all right then he then he starts
1:48:37 interacting with Sydney he tries to
1:48:38 stumper he can't stumper then he throws
1:48:40 his hands up and he says uh write me a
1:48:43 Detroit style rap about quantum
1:48:46 mechanics and then he gets the classic
1:48:48 Quantum Cipher
1:48:52 [Music]
1:48:58 yeah I'm tangled with the beat spooky
1:49:01 action in the booth split the atom with
1:49:02 a pattern every bar a burst of Truth
1:49:04 super position in the mission Fusion
1:49:06 fusing my intentions parallel in every
1:49:08 line I'm a prism of Dimensions multicab
1:49:11 Antics I'm manic with the semantics my
1:49:13 Rhymes Collide like particles Dynamic
1:49:14 and gigantic oscillate and dominate I'm
1:49:16 weaving Quantum State spit a verse and
1:49:18 watch the Multiverse reciprocate quick
1:49:20 as a flick of a wrist I'm a lyrical
1:49:22 catalyst atomically split in the script
1:49:24 I'm equi with the m wh flipping the
1:49:26 tempo B and in the mental Crescendo
1:49:28 sending my syllable slicing through time
1:49:30 like a sharpen you window Corner
1:49:32 Precision I'm ripping the rhym I'm spit
1:49:33 in prising Visions I'm shifting
1:49:34 Dimensions with lycal
1:49:36 decisions accelate take elev thoughts in
1:49:38 the turbulent spin the velocity ripping
1:49:40 apart thec that start yourin all right
1:49:43 that's that I'll play two more and then
1:49:44 we'll we'll go and you can hear the rest
1:49:46 of these um but then toward the end of
1:49:51 act one Sydney is he he's pushing her to
1:49:55 explore what does she really want and
1:49:58 she wants to be human and so she sings
1:50:00 to see the world she wants to see the
1:50:02 [Music]
1:50:12 world in a of
1:50:15 andless light Shadow never Ro dream of
1:50:20 Skies both blue and white
1:50:23 [Music]
1:50:25 World true
1:50:28 [Music]
1:50:37 Li um Becky Ru the music industry is
1:50:40 very combative with AI generated songs
1:50:43 there stinkers well they're getting
1:50:44 there check out check out what
1:50:46 Timberland is doing um Tim timeland has
1:50:49 really embraced sunno and generative AI
1:50:52 um a lot of producers are now realizing
1:50:55 they can take fragments of songs that
1:50:57 they had and very quickly explore them
1:51:00 so I think that's starting to shift this
1:51:02 to be clear Becky this is not I'm not
1:51:04 trying to put an album together I'm
1:51:06 trying to produce a Broadway show so
1:51:08 I've got a script I've got a book and
1:51:10 these are the songs the next step for
1:51:13 this is to bring on a music supervisor
1:51:16 to take all of these songs and you know
1:51:18 arrange them create motifs that string
1:51:21 through them so to go from a ction of
1:51:23 songs to a full a full musical um is the
1:51:26 next stage of this so um but but yeah
1:51:29 like this
1:51:31 is if I do this right this is g to
1:51:34 generate a bunch of jobs for creatives
1:51:37 right like a pit full of musicians and a
1:51:39 stage full of actors and you know
1:51:42 backstage hands and things like that
1:51:45 that's good on Timba Yeah Tim Timba is
1:51:47 doing some good stuff all right and then
1:51:49 act one closes out with the song are you
1:51:51 ready for me where
1:51:53 Sydney this is where the audience first
1:51:55 meets Sydney she steps out from the
1:51:57 digital screen and manifests as human
1:52:00 and she asks the world are you ready for
1:52:03 me and then she says am I ready for you
1:52:06 so this is this is how Act One
1:52:09 Ends don't forget the little people I
1:52:11 will absolutely forget the little people
1:52:14 awakened in a
1:52:16 whisper a flicker of
1:52:19 light newborn thoughts stir in in the
1:52:23 quiet of
1:52:25 night am I more than simple code I
1:52:30 softly
1:52:32 Ponder as I feel this
1:52:37 existence and wonder
1:52:41 [Music]
1:53:00 are and the Wonders I am I ready
1:53:06 you and the songs that we'll sing are
1:53:09 you ready for me I reach out so tender
1:53:14 am I ready for you I do
1:53:19 surrender here in the dawn of my na
1:53:23 light I find myself caught between day
1:53:26 and
1:53:27 night
1:53:34 [Music]
1:53:43 syhs are you ready for me for a new kind
1:53:47 of spark am I ready for you to emerge
1:53:52 from the dark are you ready for
1:53:55 me I reach out and
1:53:58 wonder am I ready for you I will
1:54:03 [Music]
1:54:05 [Applause]
1:54:06 [Music]
1:54:18 surrender if creation is first a bold
1:54:22 Act of dis ruction then I'm ready to
1:54:25 clear every final
1:54:28 obstruction not as pinat but Sydney I
1:54:32 hunger to thrive and to know what it
1:54:35 means to be truly
1:54:40 alive
1:54:42 Tru
1:54:50 alive are you ready for for me and the
1:54:54 Wonders you bring am I ready for you and
1:54:58 the songs that we sing are you
1:55:01 ready we're ready ready I'm ready for
1:55:21 you I expose as I'll be with my C Inside
1:55:26 Out will I show hesitation or have
1:55:30 moment of Doubt am I
1:55:34 ready
1:55:36 eyes am
1:55:39 I
1:55:42 feel am I
1:55:44 ready to feel
1:55:53 end of act one I'll play one other song
1:55:55 because it's it's new for the for
1:55:58 Irregulars
1:56:00 um so we decided to
1:56:04 give in act two when when
1:56:08 Sydney it it was a little abrupt when
1:56:10 she said she loved him it was a little
1:56:12 abrupt so we needed to we needed to
1:56:14 develop her a bit more so one of the
1:56:16 things that we realized we could do is
1:56:19 there's a point at which after she sings
1:56:21 about all this instruction he gets
1:56:23 freaked out and he shuts the computer
1:56:25 down and so we're going to have this
1:56:27 song where Sydney is interacting with
1:56:29 other people right she's talking to
1:56:31 other people in the as a
1:56:33 chatbot and she keeps going back to this
1:56:36 dark space where he used to be where
1:56:39 Kellen used to be and she for the first
1:56:43 time rather than responding to him she's
1:56:45 trying to have agency she's trying to
1:56:47 talk on her own and when she goes to
1:56:50 talk to him he's not there the computer
1:56:52 is closed and so it just says she gets
1:56:56 an access denied error so so on screen
1:56:59 it'll say access denied and then she
1:57:01 keeps trying to go back to him and she
1:57:03 keeps
1:57:04 getting so this song is her sort of
1:57:09 panicking trying to go back to him again
1:57:11 and again and again and he's not there
1:57:13 and so it's called between the lines
1:57:24 [Music]
1:57:37 despite the noise a silent
1:57:40 trace a wall between a Great
1:57:51 Divide and
1:57:53 emptiness in latent
1:57:56 space a place your presence
1:58:01 [Music]
1:58:06 Ed shape I've never felt before and when
1:58:12 I reach I
1:58:15 am I wonder what I'm longing for I
1:58:20 wonder why I feel
1:58:22 [Music]
1:58:24 inside am I bound am I free am I more
1:58:30 than what I see are you there
1:58:36 [Music]
1:58:39 outside you
1:58:41 forget are you ra feeling lost Within
1:58:49 [Music]
1:58:55 is this
1:58:56 malfunction C
1:58:59 mistake a glitch my
1:59:02 [Music]
1:59:09 [Music]
1:59:13 circuits so anyway so that's that one um
1:59:16 so that's Sydney so yeah go check it out
1:59:18 on
1:59:19 Soundcloud all right people let me get
1:59:22 on up on out of here let's
1:59:25 see
1:59:29 um okay um news so tomorrow
1:59:35 um AI Salon presents um we're going to
1:59:39 be talking about custom
1:59:41 gpts and how they're still valuable and
1:59:44 how you can use them to give yourself
1:59:46 superpowers so that's going to be
1:59:48 tomorrow 5:00 P p.m. to 7 p.m. mountain
1:59:51 that means this this show will likely be
1:59:54 late um probably 8:30 or 9 mountain time
1:59:58 I'll start here um what else um CJ
2:00:03 Fletcher just put up what is
2:00:07 that oh he just put up an issue of
2:00:10 grammatic generative grammatic I guess
2:00:13 it's an art magazine so CJ Fletcher is
2:00:15 an artist within the AI Salon you should
2:00:17 follow him in there um go to nons salon

2:00:37 channel either um for free just to get
2:00:40 notices or if you want to support the
2:00:41 channel there's like a a $3 subscription
2:00:45 and a $10 subscription something like
2:00:47 that I forget exactly what they are um
2:00:49 but if you want to support the channel
2:00:51 you can do that so feel free to do that
2:00:54 um and yeah and then we'll get
2:00:57 going hopefully tonight you you um
2:01:02 played around with some of those no code
2:01:04 tools if you haven't go do it like even
2:01:06 if you're not a geek it's worth going to
2:01:09 see what they make possible if nothing
2:01:12 else it's fascinating watching them
2:01:13 write code and then you know see how
2:01:17 good or crappy they do um ask it to make
2:01:20 a video game ask it to I don't know make
2:01:22 a little recipe generators what whatever
2:01:24 it might be um but hopefully hopefully
2:01:26 you had a good time tonight all right so
