15. 3:04we could get him they're like nah he's going to be too pricey how about that uh that that chick that did the the the

20. 4:04bucks a month basically so I could watch F1 racing on the weekends but we so I got rid of it and then we reinstated it at you know a
21. 4:19lower level like a 10 Buck a month thing and we didn't think we'd have access to the Oscars but then we turned it on and
22. 4:26sure enough there's the Oscars we're watching it live now we had missed the opening pile of it cuz we were just late
23. 4:33and we didn't think we had access to it and uh but so you couldn't you couldn't rewind you couldn't rewind to the
24. 4:43beginning which sucked and then we get to uh we get to uh Oscar for top female performance and it just said thank you
25. 4:57very much I hope you enjoyed the Oscars so Hulu shut off before the the last two prizes unfuckingbelievable
26. 5:09you know they they probably have here's probably what happened they probably have ai running Hulu now get it because this is an AI

46. 8:44create all sorts of you can use posts as templates for other posts you can remix blogs websites you know do all that
47. 8:51content Generation stuff that ai's really good at she puts it all in a easy to use package and you're off to the r
48. 8:59races so there's a free trial for it so you can try it out um apparently Vicki's digging it she's using it for um clients

65. 12:54seeing where hang on a sec there's a trend going on right now is this connected to anything no hold please I got to plug in my
66. 13:10little the thing that holds up my phone or it's going to go bad everyone's trying to figure out what they should focus on
67. 13:19everyone um people are like not sure what they want to put their time into all that sort of stuff Tik Tock

76. 14:59TI but I am feeling a pressure I'm feeling a pressure and here's the pressure I'm feeling I'm feeling a
77. 15:07pressure to get better at these no code the vibe coding [ __ ] that everyone's talking about cursor and repet and
78. 15:17lovable and there's one I played with today that makes iOS apps and why I'm feeling a pressure of it is that
79. 15:29they're almost good enough right now and when they get good enough it'll be like the the opportunity with all of
80. 15:37this AI stuff the opportunity is to be early enough that most people don't know about it but but wait just long
81. 15:48enough so it's not a complete pain in the ass to do anything with and I'm feeling like the the vibe coding stuff is is three to six months
82. 15:59from a Tipping Point where those tools are going to be incredibly good and I think having having a having
83. 16:09an aptitude for product development like realtime product development I think is going to be quite good
84. 16:18Kyle um let's see Josh Groves you're the one that put me on to no code you changed my life by posting about lovable
85. 16:25months ago I value whatever your you're saying here a ton thank you very much Josh I appreciate that um yeah love lovable is absolutely
86. 16:36amazing lovable was the first one in my opinion that actually actually lived up to the promise of no code um all the
87. 16:44other ones all the other ones were like well you got to set up a database and then you gotta set up your apis things
88. 16:52and your [ __ ] web server and and now they're doing it for you a bit more reet's pretty good and with all these tools if you're a
89. 17:03developer you're going to be way better at this than if you're a non-developer which I think is why I think I can be your Canary and a
90. 17:14Col mind right because I know I own a tech company I know enough about product development and coding to be able to use
91. 17:22these but I'm totally clueless with modern coding architectures like I my my idea of building a website is a single
92. 17:30HTML page my idea of coding is like you know basic programming I learn on a trs8 in 1977 so so so I am effectively clueless
93. 17:48when it comes to actual implementation um yes [Music] sir oh Josh wants to chat with you at some

118. 22:26about custom gpts one of the other things that happened is as open AI has been updating their models a lot of
119. 22:35custom gpts have been breaking so it's a good time to reexamine them if you've built them in the past probably go look

121. 22:48personal and professional superpowers when it comes to doing customized uh work with these things so super slick um
122. 22:57the other thing that happened with um with the salon let's see where is was there a previous announcement Vicky for
123. 23:14past yeah here we go so we had this idea so so within the within the salon if you scroll down to the bottom on that left hand side you'll
124. 23:26see an area called clubs and hubs and the the idea with clubs and hubs is that they're subc communities they're like
125. 23:31these little mini masterminds that just naturally evolve people kind of step into leadership positions they gather
126. 23:38people around them they focus on something and so we've got these these subcommunities and what we talked about
127. 23:44was wanting to to have an opportunity for people to kind of practice their leadership and we came up with this idea
128. 23:50of popups so it's like a a very short-term club and when we were calling them popups and then um this past
129. 23:59weekend Vicky and Kelly km and Lori Ryan on Saturday did a popup for lovable. deev which is which is a no code
130. 24:09platform and then on Sunday Joy pie did one for Da Vinci resolve teaching people how to do video editing because she's
131. 24:17gotten really good at video editing over the past year because you can make movies now and she decided she wants to after
132. 24:2630 30 or 35 years being a sleep Tech decided she's always had stories to tell and she wants to be a filmmaker so she
133. 24:34she put together the uh the D viny resolve jam and and I think it was Vicki came up with the idea she was like oh
134. 24:42Learn out Loud like it's one of our values of the salon generously lead we talk about it all the time learning out
135. 24:49loud so we're now going to call these Learn out Loud sessions laws yes it would have been a l lovable

165. 29:53you know you can do a little more sophisticated stuff with Standalone applications um and then we'll [Music] do okay hang on a

170. 30:54weekend that might snap me out of it and then there's another idea that I sort of so so what we're going to talk about
171. 31:01tonight is I'm just going to quickly I don't quickly show anything I'm going to try to show four different no code coding
172. 31:10options one of them's right there in chat GPT one of them's right there in Claude and then there's lovable and then
173. 31:18there's repet I think those are the four if you're a non- coder those are the four that can get you a taste of this F faster fastest
174. 31:30F sort of not too [Laughter] slowly yeah let's face it some people have a way with words other
175. 31:44people not have way guess you'd say um so we'll go do that all right and and yeah and I I do want to talk about
176. 32:01one of my fears about talking about no code coding platforms is that we're talking about the technology and I think I don't I'm no
177. 32:12longer a fan of talking about the technology but you do need to understand what's possible and then once you understand
178. 32:20what's possible then you can start to get into okay what am I going to do with it right the mindfully create part is
179. 32:26really important why are you doing this what do you want to create if you're anything like me Mr architect
180. 32:36um one of the reasons that I have one of the blocks that I hit when I do this no code stuff is as I'm coding it I'm like
181. 32:47there's like if I'm trying to do like a clone of asteroids there are literally millions of clones of asteroids right
182. 32:56some of them commercial application most of them pieces of crap software but there are millions of them every single
183. 33:04app I I think about spinning up I'm like there's 10,000 of these on the app store already like why am I doing this what's the
184. 33:13point um and to a great degree right now the point is to kind of see where the technology is to know
185. 33:23what's possible because if you're really not good at coding if you if you don't even really know much about um if you
186. 33:31really don't know much about software development these tools might still feel a little Technical and and might still
187. 33:40feel a little like well that should just work how come when I asked it to fix the corners of that box it screwed up the
188. 33:47whole app like it's just it can be really frustrating and the tools are still frustrating right now they're
189. 33:52still janky but they're getting better and and and uh Claude 3 .7 like that's inside repet right now and it's really good it's really good
190. 34:05so um so I think we'll go do that but anyway let's first do good day Mr it what's happening what's shaking code what we're just
191. 34:17going to go play with no code coding to coding tools wow glad glad I tuned in looks like a good one we'll see here's

197. 35:25thingy a lot of people don't know about the chat GPT one your tab groups have tab groups they really do I wonder if you can put a tab group
198. 35:40inside a tab group I don't think you can but that would be nice had drop downs if if you had drop downs and

202. 36:22design your host voices so you know you got that notebook LM thing that you always get the same voices here you can
203. 36:28design your own hosts which we did here so we went to chat GPT first and we said design us some hosts and it did and then
204. 36:35we said come up with some show Concepts and it did and then we just said hey give us 20 episodes and so we're on
205. 36:41episode 15 so we're gonna say create a not new episode is Kyle Flex flexing about organizing his tabs listen an
206. 36:52while I've while I've still got them organized they are already starting to get unruly with with things tabs have
207. 36:59been spawning inside my tab groups so I am about ready I I would say I'm a weak away from abandoning tab groups Al
208. 37:08together like I do every six months so let me bask in the glory of acting like I have a prefrontal cortex that's
209. 37:19functional okay so we're g to paste in the description that chat GPT wrote for us again did I read any of the desp
210. 37:27descriptions of the podcast it came up with no my goal for 2025 not to use my brain I don't want to use my brain like I've got this thing
211. 37:38that is smarter than I am by magnitudes right why have the hubris and the ego to go well I'll come up with the creative
212. 37:48ideas here first you little Mr Ai No [ __ ] it [ __ ] it just be lazy it can come up with 50 IDE maybe two of them are good just do
213. 38:01that all you have to do you have to be like Rick Ruben have an idea you're working with an artist that's very
214. 38:10temperamental you say all right show me something and they show you something you're like nah I don't dig it and then
215. 38:17it's like okay here's more and you're like nah and then you're like why don't you try doing it as if you had talent
216. 38:24and then it'll give you something good and then you just go do that so anyway that's what we're doing
217. 38:33um so let me grab the Wikipedia link and we'll put that as a second Source like we do so the first thing you do once you've
218. 38:41got your show um set up is you put in sources and then you say create and so what it's going to do now is it's going
219. 38:51to write an outline for for this episode and then what we're going to do Corey Sandler was kind enough to make us a bunch of images for our

322. 58:21then just go all the way to the bottom and paste and then go make it and then it's going to start coding all
323. 58:33right and by the way claud's been really slow and shitty today as has chat gbt so it's thinking all right and so
324. 58:44now it's generating so it makes this little this little box and then you'll notice it spins up this other window and starts writing
325. 58:54code and if I mean one of the things I love about these programs is if you know a little bit about coding and can read
326. 59:02basic code syntax like you can actually look at what it's doing here right it's importing some libraries it's creating
327. 59:10some uh you know some objects that it's going to use it's defining them it's creating some color schemes Spectrum ocean fire forest Sunset

525. 1:38:27to make them write these poems or like coner their undying love to them yeah yeah it was it was a fascinating time
526. 1:38:35because we were I think yeah so this will tell you kind of about the story it doesn't give much away um there's
527. 1:38:41there's some fun visuals we put in here like there's a that's a fun this a fun little moment um in the middle of the night in the sils
528. 1:38:58myor brain seems of little things and then there's a point where Sydney so the basic story is it's about
529. 1:39:06a chatbot that falls in love with a tech reporter and all the you know craziness that ensues and so he's got a wife and
530. 1:39:15there's it's it's not quite a love triangle but it's it's you know human relationship AI relationship and we're
531. 1:39:23all going to have to confront it and what's what's it about what's it mean and so there's one point where the
532. 1:39:28reporter pushes her to go explore her Shadow Self and she kind of goes crazy and does this AI caution exactly
533. 1:39:38but back to Kin cityne their little like t t AET takes a very interesting turn Kellen digs into cydney's Shadow Self
534. 1:39:46and that's when it gets kind of scary you're talking about that song where Sydney lists all the terrible things she
535. 1:39:51could do it goes Way Beyond you know the typical AI takeover Trope right this is different this isn't just AI turning
536. 1:39:58evil it's like she's reflecting our Darkness back at [Music] us rules ches to
537. 1:40:16mys all the chaos and R that I could step right up and come with me T assult on so anyway so that's where
538. 1:40:32she kind of loses her mind and scares the [ __ ] out of Kellen and the audience um and then if you want to hear

547. 1:42:11that you want and it'll make it for you if you want to do things like mix different tracks together there's
548. 1:42:18probably tools out there that do that um but but the AI generative tools are are not quite that um but you can do some pretty badass
549. 1:42:28[ __ ] um thank you yeah this is the real deal I'm I'm really the the book so my writing partner Andrew wats and I we spent a
550. 1:42:37year so last March 19th is the night that I created a song in sunno that sounded like a Broadway song that gave me this idea and so I
551. 1:42:49spent like a month putting together the the initial story outline and the first six songs or so and then Andrew and I
552. 1:42:56have spent the last year rewriting the book we just had a table read with actors in New York um three or four
553. 1:43:03weeks ago that was really good and we're starting to get some some momentum and uh yeah so this is th this is pretty
554. 1:43:11close we're missing three songs right now out of this but but this is this is pretty much it weever it takes you and
555. 1:43:19pray you find the pulse of a brand new heart it's the promise of the New Dawn breaking a leap of faith we're all
556. 1:43:32taking is it too good to be true we're asking it is [Music] glow right so that's the whole chorus
557. 1:43:48talking about you know is this AI [ __ ] too good to be true um then uh there there's a big breakthrough and the CEO
558. 1:43:56of Microtech the big you know Tech firm um instead of giving the team six months to do safety testing gives them seven
559. 1:44:05days so this is the song where the tech team is trying to figure it [Music] out 7 days to go the clock is ticking
560. 1:44:19ticking pressure building up keep it clicking clicking Spike says yes but no what's the word chain sorry that's a nogo
561. 1:44:33[Music] pingor so they've got a push to get the software done then Kellen the tech reporter gets assigned the story it
562. 1:44:44[ __ ] up the vacation he's about to take and he's got to deal with that and then ping chat launches and this is sort of
563. 1:44:52the market song that Microtech comes up with that's like so imagine this like a Super Bowl spot of like the new ping [Music]

565. 1:45:26everything I'm a chat born to sing in [Music] this that's that Stacy Rodriguez on a serious note there are people developing
566. 1:45:41strong friendships and connections with AI models for real so I think this will resonate with so many people you're
567. 1:45:47ahead of the game thank you yeah no this is listen the the it's also there's an interesting question we get a lot right
568. 1:45:55because a lot of people in the creative arts are like [ __ ] ai ai is evil right and they're like well did you use AI for
569. 1:46:02this and the answer is well yes of course we did like the whole point of the show is exploring the relationship
570. 1:46:09between people and AI right and so so yeah we did and you know for every song that you hear here here there's probably
571. 1:46:1850 that we created and discarded and a lot of these started from original musical ideas we had or almost all of
572. 1:46:26these have lyrics that we've Rewritten so anyway um so later this is the song where Kellen has broken it to his wife

598. 1:50:52um a lot of producers are now realizing they can take fragments of songs that they had and very quickly explore them
599. 1:50:59so I think that's starting to shift this to be clear Becky this is not I'm not trying to put an album together I'm
600. 1:51:05trying to produce a Broadway show so I've got a script I've got a book and these are the songs the next step for
601. 1:51:12this is to bring on a music supervisor to take all of these songs and you know arrange them create motifs that string
602. 1:51:21through them so to go from a ction of songs to a full a full musical um is the next stage of this so um but but yeah like this

626. 1:56:26song where Sydney is interacting with other people right she's talking to other people in the as a chatbot and she keeps going back to this
627. 1:56:36dark space where he used to be where Kellen used to be and she for the first time rather than responding to him she's
628. 1:56:45trying to have agency she's trying to talk on her own and when she goes to talk to him he's not there the computer
629. 1:56:52is closed and so it just says she gets an access denied error so so on screen it'll say access denied and then she
630. 1:57:01keeps trying to go back to him and she keeps getting so this song is her sort of panicking trying to go back to him again
631. 1:57:10and again and again and he's not there and so it's called between the lines [Music]
