0:06 All right, I'm live. 0:12 Let's see if anyone shows up. 0:15 My shoulders killing me. 0:18 What else do we have here? Retouch is 0:21 on. Oh, look how pretty I look. 0:24 [Laughter] 0:27 All right, we'll leave retouch on. 0:30 What's this? 0:33 At least one minute of content is needed 0:35 to create a short. All right, I got a 0:39 thumbs up. Someone's here. Vickiy's 0:41 here. 0:46 Hey, Vicki. What's happening? 0:50 Who's that? Ocean. 0:54 It's like It's like all the irregulars. 0:59 So, it looks like Tik Tok show sold. Tik 1:02 Tok sold. And um 1:06 YouTube's now doing lives. 1:10 Of course I am. You YouTube's now doing 1:13 lives. 1:15 And I think they're going to start 1:16 boosting the lives because they want to 1:18 catch up to Tik Tok. What are you doing, 1:20 Kyle? I'm rubbing my shoulder. I slept 1:23 weird on my shoulder and it's I got a 1:25 really sore muscle right here. So, I'm 1:27 trying to work that out. And I was just 1:30 sitting here. I I either have work to do 1:34 or I could go, why don't I go live? 1:42 Oh my god. So, nothing. I'm not doing 1:44 anything. I'm just hanging out. I just 1:46 wanted to actually see if anyone showed 1:48 up to this and if YouTube promoted it 1:50 and all sorts of [ __ ] like that. What 1:53 else do we have here? 1:55 We got green screen, 2:00 got settings, 2:03 lighting on, lighting off. I guess it's 2:06 better with lighting on. So now I'm 2:08 retouched and I'm artificially younger 2:11 and I'm artificially lit. 2:14 You're creating a course. Good. Good. I 2:17 uh I've got the uh I got the overview 2:20 now, so I can create the descriptions 2:22 for each of the courses. I did get a 2:24 notification. So, they are promoting it. 2:26 All right. That's interesting. I got two 2:28 thumbs up and one person here. Now, four 2:31 people here. 2:33 Do you have a hot bag? It works well 2:36 with sore shoulder. I don't. I'm at 2:40 work. 2:42 So, and it's You know what? You know 2:43 what I I did? Well, whatever I did last 2:46 night, I slept on it weird and I woke 2:47 up. It was really sore. So, I took the 2:50 thumper to it. You know those thumper 2:52 thumper things? And so I bruised it 2:55 because I thumped the [ __ ] out of it to 2:57 try to break it up. And so now it's just 3:01 bugging me. So I'm just rubbing it. 3:06 Well, welcome everybody. Wait, how many 3:08 people are here? 27 people here. 3:11 No, 12 people here. 12 people. 3:17 Um, but still that's a lot. Um, this is 3:20 the AI learning lab. I'm Kyle Shannon. 3:22 If you have questions about AI, feel 3:23 free to ask. I'm I am not really 3:25 officially live. I mean, I am. I'm here, 3:30 but I have no agenda. I've never gone 3:32 live on YouTube live. I just wanted to 3:34 see what would happen if I did. So, we 3:36 lost five. We lost five. The minute I I 3:39 said they can ask a question about AI, 3:41 they're like, "Ah, I'm out of here. I 3:45 don't hear about your stupid artificial 3:46 intelligence." 3:48 It was more fun when you were talking 3:49 about your shoulder. 3:54 Oh man, it did say Oh, it did say 27 for 3:58 a hot second. Okay. I I just thought my 4:01 eyes were bad, which they are. Um, 4:07 so it was 27, then it was 12, then it 4:09 was seven, now it's nine. 4:12 Yeah, maybe. I don't know. Maybe they're 4:13 doing some weird promo stuff with it. 4:16 Tag free. 4:18 Oh, tag fans. 4:21 What happens if I tap that? 4:25 Oh, you're in here. I got Ocean and 4:26 Vicki are my top fans. Well, thanks for 4:29 being my top fans. My top fans showed 4:31 up. 4:34 Um, I'm trying to think if anything. Um, 4:37 Luma Labs, Lumalabs came out with a new 4:43 chain of thought 4:46 video model 4:49 where it's kind of like Nano Banana 4:50 where you can make a video and then you 4:52 can say like, you know, remove that 4:56 thing. you can kind of do 4:59 editing within within a 5:03 a a video sequence. Um, which is kind of 5:08 cool. And it it looks like they're 5:10 giving every everyone free access to it 5:13 through the end of September. 5:15 But when I went to play with it, I put 5:17 in a prompt, I put in a starting image, 5:20 and then it just spun for like an hour 5:22 and then it just deleted my prompt 5:24 altogether. So, I have a feeling their 5:27 servers are overloaded. 5:31 Um, now seven, now five. 5:41 [Music] 5:52 All right. 5:54 Well, all right. I guess nine nine 5:57 people here. If you're new here, I'm 5:59 Kyle Shannon. This is the AI Learning 6:00 Lab. I've never gone live on YouTube. I 6:03 usually go live on Tik Tok, but I wanted 6:06 to go live here just to see if anyone 6:07 would show up with no promotion. 6:10 And 11 people are here. So, if you have 6:13 questions about AI, pop them in the 6:15 comments below or just say hi. Um, 6:20 give have empathy for me. I have a sore 6:22 shoulder. I got a boo boo on my 6:24 shoulder. Sucks. 6:30 Duchess god. 6:32 Hello. Hello. Hello. 6:35 So, what's the deal with Tik Tok? Is it 6:36 still around? Yeah, apparently Tik Tok 6:38 sold 6:41 to Oracle 6:43 some investment VC group and Andre 6:48 Horowitz. 6:49 So, it's going to be around. 6:52 You're going to have to delete 6:54 well the the normal Tik Tok app is going 6:57 to stop working so you'll have to 6:58 download the US Tik Tok app. 7:03 China Bite Dance will be licensing the 7:05 algorithm to the US but it'll be managed 7:08 in the US. China or bite dance retains 7:12 20% ownership 7:15 and 7:18 yeah and I guess those those guys have 7:20 80%. But it's I just I assume we're 7:24 going to have to start over. I assume we 7:26 lose all of our international folks. So 7:28 I think I might just if 7:31 this is smart of YouTube to make a live 7:34 thing like this. So I think what I might 7:36 just do is just flip over to YouTube. 7:39 [ __ ] them. 7:41 Where are you from? I am from 7:45 like Don. Hello. What's What's your 7:47 name? Ren R re Renu. Cool. Um I'm in 7:50 Denver. I'm in Denver. 7:55 So start over with views and followers 7:57 and stuff. I assume so. If you have to 7:59 download a new Tik Tok app, I mean 8:03 it would be wise of them. 8:06 it would be wise of them to have the 8:08 same log on information. 8:11 And so, so if what happens is this, if 8:14 when you download the new Tik Tok app, 8:18 it retains your username, all of your 8:21 videos, your history, and then all of 8:24 your users that are US-based. 8:29 I guess that's how like 8:32 yeah I don't know why global users would 8:34 use the a US only app. So if it retains 8:38 like the bulk of US users and your 8:40 history then I might use it. But if it's 8:42 like if I'm starting over I might as 8:44 well start over here. 8:49 So I don't know. 8:52 Um, what is the difference? 8:56 And which one do you purchase for $20? 9:01 Oh, Open AI. Oh, Gemini and Open AAI. 9:03 What's the difference? 9:05 And which one do you purchase? Um, 9:11 if you were just going to purchase one, 9:12 I mean, the 9:14 they're ostensibly the same thing, 9:17 right? You you've got a large language 9:20 model. It's multimodal. 9:23 You could certainly argue that Gemini's 9:25 got better video with V3, but to to 9:29 generate any amount of it, you're paying 9:31 way more than 20 bucks a month. So, 9:35 um 9:37 I find Google's 9:40 user interface harder. 9:42 Um 9:44 their products are just weird. But the 9:46 the large language models like Gemini as 9:49 a large language model, the 2.5 Pro 9:52 version and the uh Flash version that's 9:54 got Nano Banana in it are pretty good. 9:57 But if you're looking for the industry 9:59 leader, the industry leader right now is 10:01 still OpenAI. So the last time I I did a 10:04 back to basics with with Chat GPT, 10:07 ChatGpt has like 25 different features 10:10 in it. It's not just a single app 10:11 anymore. It's a whole bunch of [ __ ] Um, 10:14 if I were just going to pick one, I'd 10:16 pick Chat GPT just because they're the 10:18 leader right now. 10:20 Google is is certainly catching up and 10:22 Google's doing some things better than 10:24 OpenAI, but just 10:27 in general, both companies right now are 10:30 struggling to be a consumer application 10:32 company. They're they're they're both 10:34 engineer heavy companies, struggling to 10:36 figure it out. 10:39 I tried OpenAI for a month. It was 10:41 great. Yeah. 10:43 I mean, chat GPT is great. Like, I use 10:46 it every day, multiple times a day. 10:50 Um, 10:52 it looks like they there was a new 10:54 survey that was out. 18% of people are 10:57 using large language models multiple 11:00 times a day. I think it was 18%. But 11:03 that still means 80% 11:06 are not. 82% are not. 11:12 So, all right, we're down to two people. 11:14 All right, I guess I'm going to get on 11:16 out of here. Um, I just wanted to test 11:18 this thing out. So, good seeing you 11:19 both. Peace out. And I will uh I'll see 11:23 you tonight. Bye.
