8:10 are his qualifications does he know

10:24 don't need to teach them more than this
10:25 but it's good to know this it's good to

10:30 lives on Tick Tock yeah I don't know
10:32 what's going on Tobias I maybe maybe I'm
10:35 in some sort of tick tock Purgatory
10:36 where they're like well you're not
10:38 screen sounding his life he occasionally
10:40 has things up that include information
10:42 that people might want to use we're not
10:44 going to allow that that's sensitive
10:46 information yeah I don't know what's
10:48 going on with Tick Tock I don't really
10:49 care I stopped trying to figure it out
10:50 it's just whatever
10:52 they're a tick tock overlords you know
10:54 what are you gonna do all right

11:03 playing zika I'll show you a couple of
11:04 things that are fun
11:06 um
11:07 the free version of this is GPT 3.5 uh
11:11 chat gbt 3.5 the paid version is
11:15 chatgpt4
11:17 it is significantly better than 3.5
11:19 although 3.5 is super fast so if you
11:22 want to do things quickly
11:25 um it's still really good
11:27 if you if you have access to to gpt4 you
11:31 also get this thing that used to be
11:33 called code interpreter that's now
11:34 called Advanced Data analysis
11:37 and that is [ __ ] astounding like you
11:41 should absolutely be showing them some
11:43 of that stuff especially those that are
11:44 kind of more logically minded analytical
11:47 they'll love that and then there's
11:49 plugins as well and the plugins are are
11:52 Hit or Miss mostly missed but they're
11:53 kind of interesting
11:55 um Claude is uh from a company called
11:58 anthropic the big deal about Claude why
12:01 this is on the on the top three here is
12:03 it's got a hundred thousand token
12:05 context window
12:07 uh meaning
12:10 um Geeks came up with the term token to
12:12 confuse us it's it's a conspiracy zico
12:16 it's the they're just jerks they're like
12:19 well well of course token is is a more
12:21 appropriate uh it's a more accurate
12:23 representation of of the information uh
12:26 technically being parsed by by the large
12:28 language model and the the machine
12:30 learning algorithms of course but it
12:32 basically means you can put 75 000 words
12:34 into that thing and it won't choke okay
12:36 so you could take the entire text of The
12:38 Great Gatsby paste it into Claude and
12:41 it'll it'll you it could write you a
12:43 prologue or an epilogue or chapter 13 a
12:46 b
12:48 Bard bard.google.com they launched a new
12:52 version of Bard today I haven't played a
12:54 lot with it it looks cool it looks
12:57 better like all of these things are
12:58 starting to homogenize from an interface
13:00 standpoint with a chat history and like
13:03 a sidebar and
13:05 so it looks better
13:07 um it's apparently better I don't think
13:09 it's Gemini so so they've been talking
13:11 about Gemini for a while I don't think
13:13 it's that but apparently
13:16 um you can now
13:18 barred your Google Drive which if that's
13:22 the case that's could be flipping huge I
13:25 don't know if it works I haven't played
13:26 with it I couldn't figure out how to do
13:28 it just I only spent like five minutes
13:30 with it but the thing about Bard is it's
13:32 connected to the internet so that's the
13:34 other thing zico not connected to the
13:36 internet not connected to the internet
13:38 is connected to the internet okay that's
13:41 those here's the Kids Table of these
13:44 large language models the kids table are
13:46 I just find these slightly less useful
13:50 um but they're still useful they're
13:52 still worth exploring
13:54 um
13:55 Bing is Microsoft's version of gpt4 so
13:58 if if the kids don't want to play if
14:01 they if they can't pay for check EPT
14:04 plus
14:05 Bing is built on top of gpt4 it's
14:08 Microsoft's version of chat gpt4 Bing
14:11 chat it can generate images it can read
14:13 images it is connected to the internet
14:16 um
14:17 it functions well but the safety guard
14:20 rails on it are are so ridiculous that
14:23 it's just dumb like the the other night
14:27 um I told it that its image sucked and
14:29 it said I'm I hope I didn't disappoint
14:31 you and then it hung up on me it
14:32 basically shut the conversation down so
14:35 it's just a bit of a dum-dum sometimes
14:37 um
14:38 perplexity.ai from an education
14:40 standpoint I think is interesting it's
14:42 it's kind of a research site more than a
14:45 than a large language model but you can
14:48 do things like search Wikipedia or or
14:51 specific sites and it will it will
14:53 provide citations
14:56 labs.perplexity.ai lets you play with
14:59 metas llama 2 models and the code llama
15:01 model which are those new open source
15:03 commercially licensed models where you
15:07 don't have to host them but worth
15:08 playing around with worth experimenting
15:10 so so for these teens
15:13 one of the things that I think is worth
15:15 playing with we did this one night here
15:18 that was kind of fun where we
15:21 um
15:22 I wrote a premise for a joke and we had
15:25 each each of these seven large language
15:27 models try to write the joke and we saw
15:29 which one did it best gpt4 by far did it
15:32 best
15:33 um some of them were laughably bad some
15:35 of them were it at least understood what
15:37 a joke structure was
15:39 um then you've got Pi dot AI so Pi dot
15:42 AI our nickname for it here in the in
15:44 the learning lab is chatty GPT
15:47 Pi AI the the the experience that I
15:50 think is the most interesting with it is
15:52 download the app on your phone and then
15:54 you can put it into voice mode where you
15:56 just talk to it and and when you stop
15:58 talking it goes
15:59 and then it starts talking back to you
16:02 it's very much designed to be a
16:04 conversation it's a conversational it's
16:06 it's chatty GPT it's a conversational
16:09 GPT it is connected to the internet so
16:12 you can ask it local events local
16:15 weather
16:16 um what's on sale at the Costco this
16:18 weekend all that sort of stuff
16:21 yeah
16:23 um hang on a sec
16:28 um
16:30 and then poe.com also interesting from
16:32 an educational standpoint I'll show you
16:34 that one as well because it's got
16:37 um
16:38 it allows you to to compare different
16:40 models it's it's got Cloud models and
16:43 open AI models and their own model in
16:45 there and it also has a bot Builder and
16:47 a whole bunch of bots you can play with
16:49 having the students make their own Bots
16:51 is a really interesting way to practice
16:54 prompting and doing stuff like that all
16:56 right so that's all that stuff
16:58 um okay ready for another screenshot

17:04 pile of too many things this is the
17:07 image tools that I think are worth your
17:10 time to explore
17:12 um some of them you may not have access
17:14 to but mid journey is the best in terms
17:18 of image quality you have to do that in
17:21 Discord your teens should understand
17:22 what Discord is they should be fine with
17:24 that older people are like what is this
17:27 Discord a lot of who are these people
17:29 why do they not use their real names
17:32 what is this I'm very confused I was on
17:35 a website and all of a sudden I'm in
17:36 this thing I don't know why it is that
17:38 old people stammer like that I don't
17:41 know and have a lisp I don't know what
17:43 it is with old people that's how they
17:45 all talk it's I'm just a messenger
17:47 people I am just a messenger okay
17:51 um but mid Journey's the best you're
17:52 gonna get the best quality out of that
17:53 ideogram is how we make all these images
17:57 like this that have words on them
18:00 this is what uh this is what Microsoft
18:03 said to me the other day I am not a
18:06 robot I am sorry if I disappointed you I
18:10 am not a robot

18:22 um amazing
18:24 because if you use all the other image
18:27 generation tools what you will quickly
18:29 realize is like well what you will quick
18:31 quickly get to is like wait why can't I
18:33 do text it can't do text why can't it do
18:35 text it just can't uh but I did Graham
18:37 figured it out it's a 65 million dollar
18:40 series a startup bunch of X Google folks
18:44 uh lead investors and Jason Horowitz so
18:47 they're gonna be probably fine Leonardo
18:50 is built on top of stable diffusion you
18:52 get free credits every day with Leonardo
18:54 it's a really good it's it's a it's not
18:58 it's a decently complicated interface
19:00 but it's web-based and uh it's it's as
19:04 good or better than automatic 1111 in
19:06 terms of like a free web-based thing for
19:09 stable diffusion hey Jen this one is
19:12 holy crap remarkable
19:15 um they have a tool that allows you to
19:17 make
19:18 um animated people and and synthesized
19:21 voice but they also have this thing
19:23 called video translate which does this
19:29 is friggin staggering staggering it's
19:33 staggering I don't know what to tell you
19:37 clients that modular content is
19:39 important to them getting more efficient
19:41 with how we create content and how we
19:43 leverage contents
19:51 behind me you see these little green
19:53 boxes um that's how we think about store
19:56 I don't speak Italian but apparently I
19:58 do now and and according to Emilio's
20:01 wife who speaks fluent Italian it's good
20:04 it's accurate the accent's good
20:07 um when it says my company Story vine it
20:09 goes
20:12 she's awesome okay so that's I uh that's
20:16 hey Jen
20:17 you find the video translate at
20:20 labs.hagen.com and then probably not
20:22 good for the teens the Adobe Firefly
20:24 weight will perplexity let you search
20:26 PubMed I don't know cam I I haven't
20:30 played enough with perplexity to be able
20:32 to talk much about it but
20:34 um if you go there there's a there's a I
20:37 think it's called focus and just click
20:39 on the focus button and that'll show you
20:41 the things it can search it's got some
20:43 things in there I would imagine over
20:45 time they're gonna expand that I that I
20:47 think that idea of being able to search
20:50 or GPT search
20:52 um specific data sets is going to be
20:54 really important
20:56 um Adobe Firefly and photoshop's
20:58 generative fill are both
21:00 um
21:01 well fireflies pretty good it's pretty
21:04 good generative fill within Photoshop is
21:07 incredibly useful right if you've got
21:10 like a portrait image and you need it to
21:11 be landscape you just stretch the
21:14 stretch the sides and say fill it in and
21:17 for the most part it gives you something
21:18 useful might take you a cycle or two but
21:21 but it's really quite good they just
21:23 came out of beta they were in beta I
21:26 don't know since April or something like
21:27 that they just came out of beta which
21:29 means any images that you generate here
21:31 can be used commercially the other thing
21:33 I might not be interesting to the to the
21:36 teens but I think is fascinating
21:39 adobe's image generation models have not
21:42 been trained on any copywritten work
21:44 they've only been trained on public
21:46 domain and
21:48 um Adobe stock images where they own the
21:50 rights so any copyright issues you might
21:54 have with a mid-journey or a stable
21:55 diffusion or an ideogram you won't have
21:58 with them the downside of it is is that
22:00 the model's not as good like if you
22:03 search for 1970s muscle car the the
22:06 closest it gets is like 1962 body style
22:10 right so that's because that's probably
22:12 when the public domain images ended for
22:15 cars or something like that but but
22:16 it'll get better over time but but worth
22:19 looking at playing with and then this
22:21 thing openart.ai prompt book is
22:26 um this will teach you it's like a 96
22:28 page PowerPoint of how to talk to these
22:31 image models it it lets you understand
22:33 how much they actually understand and
22:35 how you can prompt them in interesting
22:37 ways so that's good I also forgot got to
22:39 mention in this list prompts.chat
22:44 is a it's like a Word document it's got
22:47 a bunch of prompts in it where you can
22:49 tell chat GPT to act like certain
22:52 personas like this this could be
22:54 something fun to give to the teens like
22:56 there's
22:57 act like a sportscaster act like a
22:59 screenwriter act like a theologian act
23:01 like a mathematician whatever it gives
23:04 you these prompts that that sort of
23:06 prime chat GPT to be able to respond in
23:09 a certain way and it gives you a lot of
23:13 um it gives you quick access to how deep
23:15 these tools are how much they actually
23:17 know they are remarkably deep
23:21 um and that could be a fun exercise is
23:23 you know give them all you know let them
23:24 all go pick a pick a character and start
23:27 prompting it and then have them read
23:29 what they came up with you'll not be
23:31 able to use hey gen video unless you pay
23:33 as the free version has a huge wait list
23:36 oh okay yeah that doesn't surprise me so
23:39 so the hey gen video thing
23:42 this thing
23:43 right here
23:46 I watched the live with the co-founder
23:48 of agent so here's the deal hey Jen
23:50 started out as like a voice synthesis
23:52 and sort of Face animation thing their
23:56 voice translation tool or the video
23:57 translate tool that I just showed
24:00 um was a side project of one of their
24:03 engineers and they just kind of kind of
24:05 stuck it out on the internet and then
24:07 people discovered it and they're like oh
24:09 my God people are talking about this and
24:10 using it we don't know what's going on
24:12 I'm like yeah your engineer you know
24:15 just completely shifted your company's
24:18 Focus you might not know it yet but
24:20 but anyway so so yeah you're probably
24:22 gonna have to pay for that one but I
24:24 think they give you two credits although
24:26 it sounds like according to Tobias their
24:28 wait list is now so long they probably
24:29 not argue they probably are not giving
24:31 you those credits
24:33 if you attend the webinar they gave they
24:35 gave five credits yeah exactly I I'm
24:38 hoarding my my credit Silver Fox I've
24:42 got I had one one left over from when I
24:44 did the Italian things and then I got
24:46 five more and I'm kind of hoarding them
24:48 um they did give me two okay good
24:50 terrific okay so that's that's that
24:53 stuff and then the other thing
24:54 futurepedia.io is there's there's that
24:57 one and there's one called called
25:00 there's an AI for that.com and they're
25:03 both just directories of like thousands
25:06 of AI tools and so those might be good
25:08 to play with okay
25:10 so that's a lot now
25:12 for those of you in here that have been
25:14 asking me to do a um a workshop this is
25:18 this is a workshop I'm doing in
25:20 conjunction with Rhonda Phillips who's
25:22 who's a voice actor and a and a creative
25:24 coach this so so this is not you know
25:27 through the AI learning lab
25:30 um but uh starting October 4th going for
25:33 three weeks it's two two hour sessions
25:35 the fourth the 11th and the 18th and
25:38 we're going to start out with a general
25:39 AI overview on
25:42 um on the fourth and then we're gonna do
25:45 sort of practical Hands-On AI for your
25:47 business on the 11th and then we're
25:49 going to do Advanced AI like some of the
25:52 um animated voice voice over stuff voice
25:55 synthesis stuff things like that if
25:57 you've been in these lives you know a
25:59 lot of the stuff that I that I kind of
26:02 chat add kind of cover in here
26:06 um though it'll be a lot more focused
26:07 and we'll sort of be going through
26:08 things systematically so feel free to
26:10 check that out Rhonda's voice.com events
26:12 uh you can see that and she's got a
26:15 early bird special through tomorrow so
26:18 if if it's something you're interested

1:01:53 the Consultants that were ranked lower

1:01:57 had a much more dramatic Improvement in

1:02:03 perfect sense one of the things that
1:02:05 chat GPT does is it provides kind of
1:02:08 instant access to knowledge so if you've
1:02:10 got someone who's operating at kind of a
1:02:12 c plus level and you got someone who's
1:02:14 operating in an A minus level
1:02:18 is going to get them both up to an a
1:02:20 right but the the the person that was at
1:02:23 a c plus level that that popped up to
1:02:27 an a level that's it's a much more
1:02:29 dramatic increase than the a minus to
1:02:31 the a that the that the you know the
1:02:33 higher performing person did so anyway
1:02:36 this this article is definitely worth
1:02:38 the read what the other thing that he
1:02:40 talks about here which is really kind of
1:02:42 cool is the idea of centaurs and cyborgs

1:02:56 organization that they've got the work

1:03:27 um contributes and there are other tasks

1:03:34 jaggedness is just this idea that
1:03:38 there's not a way for you to know
1:03:41 where it's going to be good without
1:03:44 trying it that it's just it's all over

1:13:55 bad the paper says we need rules to make
1:13:57 these AI computer programs make sure
1:13:59 these AI programs are used safely and
1:14:02 don't harm people they also talk about
1:14:04 ways to keep an eye on these programs
1:14:06 and make sure that they follow the rules
1:14:07 the 10 most important points one
1:14:10 Frontier AI are powerful AI models with
1:14:13 potential risks two the models can be
1:14:15 very helpful but also dangerous three
1:14:17 it's hard to predict when these AIS
1:14:19 might become risky four we need
1:14:22 standards to guide how these AIS are

1:57:54 big shift to the cloud right
1:57:57 and now Apple's the one that is going to
1:57:59 be pushing the compute back to the
1:58:02 device because of privacy
1:58:05 because we're all going to want to be
1:58:06 able to
1:58:09 gpti's our lives and all of our data in
1:58:12 all of our emails like wouldn't it be
1:58:14 amazing if you could just say hey when
1:58:16 did I ever talk about this that or the
1:58:18 other and who did I email that idea to

1:58:24 don't want to send that data to Apple at
1:58:27 their centralized process processing
