24. 5:17zico and the Jets that's a bad one see I would give give that one like a 7.5 out of 10 but you know you do something but anyway

26. 5:38you up to speed on it where are you with it or did you get did someone volunteer you to teach a bunch of kids chat EVT I've

38. 7:50qualifications you know I need to teach high school students about chat GPT here in a day or two and I asked him for his
39. 7:58support and all he's talking about is Rich muddy people I don't understand it he doesn't nothing's plugged in he
40. 8:04doesn't see he's got a nice graphic I will say the graphics nice he said a nice thing about my name but what what
41. 8:09are his qualifications does he know anything does he know anything does he know anything that's what I would like to know
42. 8:16I I mean I will stay here for another 38 seconds and I will find that out I will assess and I will determine
43. 8:23if this AI learning lab is a place of learning is this a respectable learning Indica Institution or is this some sort of cockamami
44. 8:33infotainment Center designed for the elderly to teach the elderly about God knows what it could be the latter by the way

53. 10:11zico for you I'm gonna I'm gonna show you seven different chat TPT Alternatives and you're like but Kyle I
54. 10:20just I just need to teach them a couple of prompts in chat GPT that's fine you don't need to teach them more than this
55. 10:24but it's good to know this it's good to understand this um but I can screenshot a majority of my lives on Tick Tock yeah I don't know
56. 10:31what's going on Tobias I maybe maybe I'm in some sort of tick tock Purgatory where they're like well you're not
57. 10:37screen sounding his life he occasionally has things up that include information that people might want to use we're not
58. 10:44going to allow that that's sensitive information yeah I don't know what's going on with Tick Tock I don't really
59. 10:48care I stopped trying to figure it out it's just whatever they're a tick tock overlords you know what are you gonna do all right
60. 10:55all right so um that's official chat TV site um I'll dig in there and start playing zika I'll show you a couple of things that are fun um
61. 11:07the free version of this is GPT 3.5 uh chat gbt 3.5 the paid version is chatgpt4 it is significantly better than 3.5
62. 11:19although 3.5 is super fast so if you want to do things quickly um it's still really good if you if you have access to to gpt4 you
63. 11:30also get this thing that used to be called code interpreter that's now called Advanced Data analysis and that is [ __ ] astounding like you
64. 11:41should absolutely be showing them some of that stuff especially those that are kind of more logically minded analytical
65. 11:46they'll love that and then there's plugins as well and the plugins are are Hit or Miss mostly missed but they're kind of interesting
66. 11:55um Claude is uh from a company called anthropic the big deal about Claude why this is on the on the top three here is
67. 12:03it's got a hundred thousand token context window uh meaning um Geeks came up with the term token to confuse us it's it's a conspiracy zico
68. 12:15it's the they're just jerks they're like well well of course token is is a more appropriate uh it's a more accurate
69. 12:23representation of of the information uh technically being parsed by by the large language model and the the machine
70. 12:29learning algorithms of course but it basically means you can put 75 000 words into that thing and it won't choke okay
71. 12:36so you could take the entire text of The Great Gatsby paste it into Claude and it'll it'll you it could write you a
72. 12:42prologue or an epilogue or chapter 13 a b Bard bard.google.com they launched a new version of Bard today I haven't played a
73. 12:54lot with it it looks cool it looks better like all of these things are starting to homogenize from an interface
74. 13:00standpoint with a chat history and like a sidebar and so it looks better um it's apparently better I don't think
75. 13:09it's Gemini so so they've been talking about Gemini for a while I don't think it's that but apparently um you can now
76. 13:18barred your Google Drive which if that's the case that's could be flipping huge I don't know if it works I haven't played
77. 13:25with it I couldn't figure out how to do it just I only spent like five minutes with it but the thing about Bard is it's
78. 13:32connected to the internet so that's the other thing zico not connected to the internet not connected to the internet
79. 13:38is connected to the internet okay that's those here's the Kids Table of these large language models the kids table are
80. 13:46I just find these slightly less useful um but they're still useful they're still worth exploring um Bing is Microsoft's version of gpt4 so
81. 13:57if if the kids don't want to play if they if they can't pay for check EPT plus Bing is built on top of gpt4 it's
82. 14:08Microsoft's version of chat gpt4 Bing chat it can generate images it can read images it is connected to the internet um
83. 14:17it functions well but the safety guard rails on it are are so ridiculous that it's just dumb like the the other night
84. 14:26um I told it that its image sucked and it said I'm I hope I didn't disappoint you and then it hung up on me it
85. 14:32basically shut the conversation down so it's just a bit of a dum-dum sometimes um perplexity.ai from an education
86. 14:40standpoint I think is interesting it's it's kind of a research site more than a than a large language model but you can
87. 14:47do things like search Wikipedia or or specific sites and it will it will provide citations labs.perplexity.ai lets you play with
88. 14:58metas llama 2 models and the code llama model which are those new open source commercially licensed models where you
89. 15:06don't have to host them but worth playing around with worth experimenting so so for these teens one of the things that I think is worth
90. 15:15playing with we did this one night here that was kind of fun where we um I wrote a premise for a joke and we had
91. 15:24each each of these seven large language models try to write the joke and we saw which one did it best gpt4 by far did it best
92. 15:32um some of them were laughably bad some of them were it at least understood what a joke structure was um then you've got Pi dot AI so Pi dot
93. 15:41AI our nickname for it here in the in the learning lab is chatty GPT Pi AI the the the experience that I
94. 15:50think is the most interesting with it is download the app on your phone and then you can put it into voice mode where you
95. 15:55just talk to it and and when you stop talking it goes and then it starts talking back to you it's very much designed to be a
96. 16:04conversation it's a conversational it's it's chatty GPT it's a conversational GPT it is connected to the internet so
97. 16:12you can ask it local events local weather um what's on sale at the Costco this weekend all that sort of stuff yeah um hang on a sec
98. 16:28um and then poe.com also interesting from an educational standpoint I'll show you that one as well because it's got um
99. 16:38it allows you to to compare different models it's it's got Cloud models and open AI models and their own model in
100. 16:44there and it also has a bot Builder and a whole bunch of bots you can play with having the students make their own Bots
101. 16:51is a really interesting way to practice prompting and doing stuff like that all right so that's all that stuff
102. 16:58um okay ready for another screenshot this pile of too many things this is the image tools that I think are worth your time to explore
103. 17:12um some of them you may not have access to but mid journey is the best in terms of image quality you have to do that in
104. 17:20Discord your teens should understand what Discord is they should be fine with that older people are like what is this
105. 17:26Discord a lot of who are these people why do they not use their real names what is this I'm very confused I was on
106. 17:34a website and all of a sudden I'm in this thing I don't know why it is that old people stammer like that I don't
107. 17:40know and have a lisp I don't know what it is with old people that's how they all talk it's I'm just a messenger
108. 17:46people I am just a messenger okay um but mid Journey's the best you're gonna get the best quality out of that
109. 17:53ideogram is how we make all these images like this that have words on them this is what uh this is what Microsoft
110. 18:03said to me the other day I am not a robot I am sorry if I disappointed you I am not a robot have a good evening goodbye it was fantastic
111. 18:16um but yeah all this stuff was done in ideogram um amazing because if you use all the other image generation tools what you will quickly
112. 18:28realize is like well what you will quick quickly get to is like wait why can't I do text it can't do text why can't it do
113. 18:34text it just can't uh but I did Graham figured it out it's a 65 million dollar series a startup bunch of X Google folks
114. 18:44uh lead investors and Jason Horowitz so they're gonna be probably fine Leonardo is built on top of stable diffusion you
115. 18:52get free credits every day with Leonardo it's a really good it's it's a it's not it's a decently complicated interface
116. 18:59but it's web-based and uh it's it's as good or better than automatic 1111 in terms of like a free web-based thing for
117. 19:08stable diffusion hey Jen this one is holy crap remarkable um they have a tool that allows you to make um animated people and and synthesized
118. 19:21voice but they also have this thing called video translate which does this is friggin staggering staggering it's
119. 19:32staggering I don't know what to tell you clients that modular content is important to them getting more efficient
120. 19:40with how we create content and how we leverage contents behind me you see these little green boxes um that's how we think about store
121. 19:55I don't speak Italian but apparently I do now and and according to Emilio's wife who speaks fluent Italian it's good
122. 20:04it's accurate the accent's good um when it says my company Story vine it goes she's awesome okay so that's I uh that's hey Jen
123. 20:17you find the video translate at labs.hagen.com and then probably not good for the teens the Adobe Firefly
124. 20:24weight will perplexity let you search PubMed I don't know cam I I haven't played enough with perplexity to be able to talk much about it but
125. 20:34um if you go there there's a there's a I think it's called focus and just click on the focus button and that'll show you
126. 20:40the things it can search it's got some things in there I would imagine over time they're gonna expand that I that I
127. 20:46think that idea of being able to search or GPT search um specific data sets is going to be really important um Adobe Firefly and photoshop's
128. 20:57generative fill are both um well fireflies pretty good it's pretty good generative fill within Photoshop is
129. 21:07incredibly useful right if you've got like a portrait image and you need it to be landscape you just stretch the
130. 21:14stretch the sides and say fill it in and for the most part it gives you something useful might take you a cycle or two but
131. 21:21but it's really quite good they just came out of beta they were in beta I don't know since April or something like
132. 21:27that they just came out of beta which means any images that you generate here can be used commercially the other thing
133. 21:33I might not be interesting to the to the teens but I think is fascinating adobe's image generation models have not
134. 21:41been trained on any copywritten work they've only been trained on public domain and um Adobe stock images where they own the
135. 21:50rights so any copyright issues you might have with a mid-journey or a stable diffusion or an ideogram you won't have
136. 21:57with them the downside of it is is that the model's not as good like if you search for 1970s muscle car the the
137. 22:06closest it gets is like 1962 body style right so that's because that's probably when the public domain images ended for
138. 22:14cars or something like that but but it'll get better over time but but worth looking at playing with and then this
139. 22:21thing openart.ai prompt book is um this will teach you it's like a 96 page PowerPoint of how to talk to these
140. 22:30image models it it lets you understand how much they actually understand and how you can prompt them in interesting
141. 22:36ways so that's good I also forgot got to mention in this list prompts.chat is a it's like a Word document it's got
142. 22:47a bunch of prompts in it where you can tell chat GPT to act like certain personas like this this could be
143. 22:53something fun to give to the teens like there's act like a sportscaster act like a screenwriter act like a theologian act
144. 23:01like a mathematician whatever it gives you these prompts that that sort of prime chat GPT to be able to respond in
145. 23:08a certain way and it gives you a lot of um it gives you quick access to how deep these tools are how much they actually
146. 23:17know they are remarkably deep um and that could be a fun exercise is you know give them all you know let them
147. 23:24all go pick a pick a character and start prompting it and then have them read what they came up with you'll not be
148. 23:30able to use hey gen video unless you pay as the free version has a huge wait list oh okay yeah that doesn't surprise me so
149. 23:39so the hey gen video thing this thing right here I watched the live with the co-founder of agent so here's the deal hey Jen
150. 23:49started out as like a voice synthesis and sort of Face animation thing their voice translation tool or the video
151. 23:57translate tool that I just showed um was a side project of one of their engineers and they just kind of kind of
152. 24:04stuck it out on the internet and then people discovered it and they're like oh my God people are talking about this and
153. 24:10using it we don't know what's going on I'm like yeah your engineer you know just completely shifted your company's
154. 24:17Focus you might not know it yet but but anyway so so yeah you're probably gonna have to pay for that one but I
155. 24:23think they give you two credits although it sounds like according to Tobias their wait list is now so long they probably
156. 24:29not argue they probably are not giving you those credits if you attend the webinar they gave they gave five credits yeah exactly I I'm
157. 24:37hoarding my my credit Silver Fox I've got I had one one left over from when I did the Italian things and then I got
158. 24:45five more and I'm kind of hoarding them um they did give me two okay good terrific okay so that's that's that stuff and then the other thing
159. 24:54futurepedia.io is there's there's that one and there's one called called there's an AI for that.com and they're
160. 25:03both just directories of like thousands of AI tools and so those might be good to play with okay so that's a lot now
161. 25:12for those of you in here that have been asking me to do a um a workshop this is this is a workshop I'm doing in
162. 25:20conjunction with Rhonda Phillips who's who's a voice actor and a and a creative coach this so so this is not you know
163. 25:27through the AI learning lab um but uh starting October 4th going for three weeks it's two two hour sessions
164. 25:35the fourth the 11th and the 18th and we're going to start out with a general AI overview on um on the fourth and then we're gonna do
165. 25:44sort of practical Hands-On AI for your business on the 11th and then we're going to do Advanced AI like some of the
166. 25:52um animated voice voice over stuff voice synthesis stuff things like that if you've been in these lives you know a
167. 25:58lot of the stuff that I that I kind of chat add kind of cover in here um though it'll be a lot more focused
168. 26:07and we'll sort of be going through things systematically so feel free to check that out Rhonda's voice.com events
169. 26:12uh you can see that and she's got a early bird special through tomorrow so if if it's something you're interested
170. 26:19in you can you can save some money that way you can also um buy individual workshops you can either buy all three or you can buy
171. 26:25individual workshops and then the final thing is if you want to join a community of AI adventurers or just people trying

182. 28:13if they have a stutter where they can't spell and they have two L's in front of the word learning that's not me that's
183. 28:19the scammer they've stolen my videos they've stolen my images they've stolen my words and they're reaching out to people that
184. 28:27think they're subscribing to this and they're trying to sell them crypto [ __ ] so do not fall for that crap
185. 28:33block them uh report them report them for copyright violation tell them they're jerks comment on all their videos that they're
186. 28:43pieces of poop whatever you want to do all right fantastic I'm chilling what he's won so here's what we're gonna do
187. 28:51we're gonna go look at not me we're gonna go look at there there's Claude we'll show a couple of things here we'll go to chat GPT
188. 29:07all right so this is chat gbt um when you first get here the well when you first get here you won't have all
189. 29:17this history but this is your history of of your chats um these are just sort of suggested things to get you started if you if you
190. 29:25don't if you literally don't know what to type you can just click on [ __ ] they're just like here click here click
191. 29:31click and again I think that the reason for that is you know this is the interface it's like it's like a Google box right there's there's
192. 29:43what are you supposed to do here well you can [ __ ] do a lot but they don't tell you that so now they're doing these
193. 29:50little suggestions then you've got two different models so if you if you're paying for the plus model you get you
194. 29:57get that little yellow flag um and you get uh gpt4 and GPT 3.5 if you don't pay for it you just get GPT 3.5 okay so
195. 30:08um generally where where I like to start with with chechi BT stuff is just with what I call parlor tricks and parlor
196. 30:16tricks are just things that um kind of snap people out of reality that you know kind of look at this interface and are underwhelm
197. 30:26um and with teens in particular if you have like you know cynical know-it-ally kind of teens you know I've got cynical
198. 30:32note all the kind of 23 year olds right now um you know they're like yeah yeah chat EBT whatever I heard of that that's whatever
199. 30:40it's dumb it's dumb it's yeah it's it's AI I know AI you know I'm in Discord so yeah yeah I heard a mid-journey yeah my
200. 30:48my you know I I made an image once it was stupid you know whatever um so if they're like that you need to stamp them out of that [ __ ]
201. 30:58so so generally what I'll do is um let's see where do we want to start a quick easy one just to just to kind of
202. 31:07realize you know hey how fast these things are and B that that they they can dig a bit deeper is write me a country song about
203. 31:22driving my pickup truck down a country road drinking red Kool-Aid and so it'll write you a song and it understands verses and it understands
204. 31:36choruses and it understands Bridges and outros and things like that and you know they they are generally not bad Bard is
205. 31:45bad at this but Chachi BT is really good at this even this is 3.5 hopped in my truck wait hopped in my pickup truck
206. 31:52bright sunny day headed down the Old Country Road Gotta Get Away got a cooler in the back full of ice and red Kool-Aid
207. 31:58cruising slow windows down let's wait let the breeze serenade chorus and then you can do things like um let's see um what are some popular
208. 32:13chord progressions for hit country songs the one four five the one four six one
209. 32:27five six four right so it gives you some progressions and let's see what's it what does it say about these the the 145
210. 32:35is one of the most basic the one five six four progression is known as the four chord progression it's
211. 32:42prevalent not only in country but many pop songs so it understands that all right here we got one starting in a relative minor so
212. 32:50I'm going to say um let's go with number six for chords and make it
213. 33:06um iced tea instead of Kool-Aid and I'm missing
214. 33:21my gal let's get some lament in there I and and so now it'll just do that right so it like you you can almost
215. 33:35literally tell it anything and then it may not be good but it'll respond with something and so if you can give it
216. 33:42things that are that that visually show show what's Happening rather than actually having to read it um that'll that'll sometimes kind of
217. 33:51snap people out of their malaise that like oh whatever um so let's see sitting on the porch the sun's sinking low I'm sitting on my iced
218. 33:59tea with the mem let the memories flow she used to sit right here or empty chairs reside but now she's gone and I'm
219. 34:06left with this ache inside starts on an A Minor uh it did a crappy thing where the chorus and the and the verses have
220. 34:14the same chord progression so I'm going to spank it and say um it looks like you got a little lazy with
221. 34:22the chord progressions on the choruses period shouldn't they be different than the verses period can you make the chord progression
222. 34:33interesting and unique but still follow the basic model um you're absolutely oh so this is another thing
223. 34:46um you're absolutely right the chorus should have been distinct chord progressions to make the song more
224. 34:51interesting here's a revised version um and what I find is it's not really good at it it did a minor to F on the
225. 34:57verse in a minor to C on the on the chorus um it's not really good at writing songs but but you get the basic idea it can at
226. 35:04least give you a starting point okay so then you can do this with write it like Shakespeare write it like Emerson
227. 35:11right so if you're doing anything where you're teaching kids other things you can do that but you can also start to do things like this
228. 35:18um I'm going to create a new chat here I'm going to say um let's see I don't want to do this um
229. 35:33I want you to act as an instructional designer who specializes in Reverse mentorship period I want to take everything that happens
230. 35:48in the classroom and flip it upside down and create a curriculum where the students are teaching the teacher and
231. 36:04grading them on how well they perform period is that something you could help with so I mean the answer is yeah the the
232. 36:18answer in general with chat TPT is yes it can do anything um what I did by sort of setting it up with the Persona that's that's the kind of
233. 36:26stuff that's in that prompts.chat kind of document so it says step one Define the objectives and goals select the
234. 36:34target subject or skill identify the learning outcomes so all that sort of stuff um let's see that's great
235. 36:44is there an educational theory that this ties to that I could use to frame this new approach there's constructivism there's
236. 36:59experiential learning there's social learning theory there's peer teaching and peer assessment there's the flipped
237. 37:04classroom there's student-centered learning there's feedback and assessment Theory so I don't know let's go with number six again so um
238. 37:15let's use number six please write me a curriculum for a four hour session to be held on Thursdays give me topics for

249. 39:02some of the game mechanics of snake explain to me how you're going to combine those two games provide code examples and explain

257. 40:25certain you know Topic in school whatever it might be um and just dig into that if anything you can do to connect them their
258. 40:33interest to what this thing can do especially if they understand something like coding I did this with a 10 year
259. 40:39old where he he was like he he was really funny he's like he's like yeah you know you know that AI stuff's cool
260. 40:47but I'm I'm you know I'm writing a program right now I'm I'm writing a game I'm like oh what game are you writing
261. 40:54he's like yeah it's a Flappy Birds Flappy Birds clone I was like oh that's cool I said what language are you using
262. 41:00go C sharp and he goes he goes but there's a bug in it so I'm just gonna have to like throw it out it doesn't
263. 41:05work right now I said have you tried chat GPT he's like well yeah man yeah of course yeah and so so let's go over here
264. 41:13and so I did I did this he watched it write the code and he literally had this Kevin McAllister moment where he was like
265. 41:22he was just like he goes I gotta get my laptop he ran down four flights of stairs ran back up with his laptop we
266. 41:31copied and pasted his his code into chatgpt said where's the bug in this it found the bug it was a typo he copied and
267. 41:39pasted the code into Unity and it started playing Flappy Birds thanks Stevo and it he he like his mouth like it was like
268. 41:51a cartoon it was like and then he looked at me and he goes this changes everything it's like yes yes that's what this stuff does so
269. 42:04anyway that's chat EBT now um let's go to Claude so Claude is similarly interesting it I mean it does

313. 49:36um the other ones you can just play with um and then you got chat so that's GPT 3.5 that's sort of like anthropic's version of GPT 3.5
314. 49:46that's like anthropic's version of gpt4 that is gpt4 that's like 3.5 but with 100 000 limit and that's just their
315. 49:55thing but you'll also notice there's these things down here what are those those are Bots and Bots are things that anyone can
316. 50:04produce the official Bots these are the ones from that come from Poe by the way the company behind Poe is quora the question and answer site
317. 50:14um if you didn't know that um so like this mid-journey bot for example it says what would you like to prompt in

320. 50:51knowledge of mid-journey and write you uh a much more specific prompt a playful penguin with a mischievous glimp in his

322. 51:05a red tractor this this has actually gotten like way more chatty than I've ever seen it but but whatever let's

336. 53:12um which model you're going to use and they've got a bunch of they've got like the Llama 2 model you could you could

383. 1:00:55Boston Consultant Group um did a did a study um with Consultants who who used gpt4 and those that didn't use chat gpt4 guess
384. 1:01:11what happened the people that use Chachi pt4 did more better more better more better quality improvement quality improvement
385. 1:01:25so the Improvement was look at this Consultants using AI finished 12.2 percent more tasks so more completed tasks 25 percent more quickly
386. 1:01:39more faster and produced 40 percent higher quality results more faster better results and then what cavruno was
387. 1:01:50pointing out in her comment was the Consultants that were ranked lower in the organization had a much more dramatic Improvement in
388. 1:02:00their work than the good people it makes perfect sense one of the things that chat GPT does is it provides kind of
389. 1:02:07instant access to knowledge so if you've got someone who's operating at kind of a c plus level and you got someone who's
390. 1:02:14operating in an A minus level is going to get them both up to an a right but the the the person that was at
391. 1:02:22a c plus level that that popped up to an a level that's it's a much more dramatic increase than the a minus to
392. 1:02:30the a that the that the you know the higher performing person did so anyway this this article is definitely worth
393. 1:02:38the read what the other thing that he talks about here which is really kind of cool is the idea of centaurs and cyborgs
394. 1:02:44what's he mean by that centaurs centaurs um like the mythical Beast are half human you know half other right
395. 1:02:54and so those are people within your organization that they've got the work they do the human way and then they've
396. 1:03:00got the work they do the AI way and they don't really mix those two it's like I'm going to do some AI [ __ ] over here I'll
397. 1:03:05write an email occasionally with AI but I'm going to do all my other work over here the cyborgs are the ones that that mix
398. 1:03:12that [ __ ] together and throughout their day they're they're incorporating AI into their workflow and then the jagged Frontier means there
399. 1:03:21are certain tasks where chat is incredibly good and um contributes and there are other tasks where it's not good and it doesn't
400. 1:03:31contribute in it right and so the jaggedness is just this idea that there's not a way for you to know where it's going to be good without
401. 1:03:43trying it that it's just it's all over the place right now they hallucinate which if you haven't heard that term
402. 1:03:50basically large language models will just lie to your face I like to call them mansplaining as a service
403. 1:03:57I didn't coin that term but I love it because it's it's quite accurate like all the good men in your life it will
404. 1:04:03confidently answer you even if it's wrong and uh um but you need to know that right especially if you're in Boston
405. 1:04:12Consulting Group there's things that can do really well but one of the things you don't want it to do is cite a magazine
406. 1:04:18article that doesn't actually exist and it will do that so you need to understand you as the human using these
407. 1:04:26tools need to understand where the boundaries are what is it good at what is it not good at how do you incorporate it how do you
408. 1:04:33how do you move from huh maybe I should try Chachi pt2 every single thing I do throughout my day I think could I solve this with AI and if
409. 1:04:48if you don't know go try it right that's a shift from being AI curious to being AI native and that's I'm trying to get there I've

440. 1:10:36models so the gpt4s GPT fives and up of the world um Google's uh Gemini metas whatever the [ __ ] llama seven that they're working on
441. 1:10:48that they're not going to tell us about until it melts faces um all of these things these groups got together and said you know how are we
442. 1:10:55going to manage risks so what we're going to do here is we're gonna go over to the chat GPT and we're going we're going we're going
443. 1:11:04to open that up and we're gonna go new chat and then we're gonna go over on here to plugins we're gonna go to
444. 1:11:11plugins and then right now we got web pilot and I think web pilot will do oh we'll try web pilot um there are there are plugins to do
445. 1:11:21that'll read PDFs I think web pilot does both reading PDFs and websites but let's try it we'll try it
446. 1:11:28so the way plugins work is you enable up to three of them on a given chat I've just got one web pilot enabled and then I'm going to say
447. 1:11:38based on this and then I'm going to paste in the URL of the PDF I'm going to say um
448. 1:11:56summarize oh no series taking over oh wait we have issues with Siri Siri gets jealous if I if I talk to too many other
449. 1:12:10systems summarize this article in a short paragraph that explains the concepts
450. 1:12:24as if I'm in fifth grade period then provide 10 bullets of the most important aspect aspects of this paper
451. 1:12:42period keep the bullets between 7 and 10 words so what this should do now is fire off web pilot the plug-in which it did and
452. 1:12:54if we go look at that it's basically just you know saying go to that website and then it's going to return some [ __ ]
453. 1:13:02it's going to go read the article basically boom there's a bunch of [ __ ] from the
454. 1:13:16article this paper talks about the future of eight so so basically you know the only reason I saw all that
455. 1:13:23stuff it brought back was because I opened that plug-in I kind of where's my mouse I sort of popped open the little uh
456. 1:13:31drop down menu so if you don't pop it down it just sort of goes off and does its thing in the background but what's
457. 1:13:38cool is you can open that up and see what it's actually doing so the paper talks about the future of AI which they
458. 1:13:44call Frontier AI these are super smart computer programs that can do a lot of things remember I asked it to do this
459. 1:13:50for a fifth grader but just like superheroes they can be used for good or bad the paper says we need rules to make
460. 1:13:56these AI computer programs make sure these AI programs are used safely and don't harm people they also talk about
461. 1:14:03ways to keep an eye on these programs and make sure that they follow the rules the 10 most important points one
462. 1:14:09Frontier AI are powerful AI models with potential risks two the models can be very helpful but also dangerous three
463. 1:14:17it's hard to predict when these AIS might become risky four we need standards to guide how these AIS are
464. 1:14:24made again this is an agreement between the people with the money with enough money to make the really powerful ones
465. 1:14:32Regulators should know how these AIS are being developed there should always be ways to make sure AIS follow safety
466. 1:14:39rules industry rules are a good start but government rules might be needed too before using an AI its risks should be
467. 1:14:46checked outside experts should check should also check these AIS for safety if we learn new things about ai's risks
468. 1:14:54we should update the rules note the above points are based on context extracted or content extracted from the
469. 1:15:01provided link and are summarized to fit the request the required requested length it's interesting that it wrote that because
470. 1:15:10I asked it to summarize it so concisely like that that's sort of implying to me that there's more in here so now I'm going to say um

473. 1:15:47what did I say a nuanced argument so one unexpected capabilities and deployment um deployment safety of Frontier AIA
474. 1:15:59models argument the paper emphasizes that Frontier models can develop unexpectedly and potentially dangerous
475. 1:16:06capabilities they call that emergent Behavior um that might not be immediately detectable so so they go Rogue right once these
476. 1:16:18models are deployed for broad use it becomes challenging to control them so basically sometimes they go Rogue if you deploy it
477. 1:16:26too soon and then it goes Rogue it's hard to pull it back why it's compelling this argument underscores the under

718. 1:57:46hard drives and we had external hard drives and we had zip drives and we had all this other [ __ ] and then Apple was the one that did this
719. 1:57:54big shift to the cloud right and now Apple's the one that is going to be pushing the compute back to the device because of privacy
720. 1:58:04because we're all going to want to be able to gpti's our lives and all of our data in all of our emails like wouldn't it be
721. 1:58:13amazing if you could just say hey when did I ever talk about this that or the other and who did I email that idea to here it is
722. 1:58:21yeah that would be remarkable but we don't want to send that data to Apple at their centralized process processing
723. 1:58:29center that can be hacked right Apple's got all this privacy and security on the device so if they can make the device powerful enough to do
724. 1:58:38all this large language model [ __ ] this machine learning stuff locally holy crap and that's that's where they're headed
725. 1:58:46and and that's I like I you know Apple again they they are they're they're really a remarkable company when it comes to the technology
726. 1:58:55stuff they're just they're not mentioning the word AI or artificial intelligence they're not mentioning the
727. 1:59:01word metaverse and yet they're going to completely dominate when they when they roll this [ __ ] out um what's your day job uh my day job is
728. 1:59:12I'm the co-founder and CEO of a company called storyvine storyvine.com which is a an automated video storytelling
729. 1:59:20platform so we have an app that asks someone a series of questions they answer those questions in the app
730. 1:59:26it goes up to the cloud five minutes later you got a fully edited video and we're not using AI to do that editing surprisingly enough
731. 1:59:34um but I'm rethinking the the sort of product vision of the company uh incorporating AI into it so um yeah that's my day job so I spend the

735. 2:00:10times for saying dirty words triggering words he said them out loud you know those words that you kind of whisper and
736. 2:00:18look around before you say them and The Tick Tock shut him down that's what I heard very promiscuous he's very promiscuous
737. 2:00:27but I you know I enjoy it I I spent how long do you spend there oh you know just three four hours a night that's all it's not much all right
738. 2:00:39again we're not far from literal mind reading AI can already translate basic brain waves into pictures it can
739. 2:00:45translate brain waves into pictures brain waves into video brain waves into um movement did you see the Italian dude the the guy
740. 2:00:57that was paralyzed for like 12 years where they did fmris scans of his brain and they told him to think about moving his legs
741. 2:01:07and they they modeled that and then they sent the data from a Bluetooth device from his brain waves around the injury
742. 2:01:18to electrodes in the base of his spine and now he's walking Kyle did you call my toy maker yet no I don't know what that's in reference

787. 2:08:32and Bard are both good alternatives to that um those are the ones I I could spend the next decade just playing with chat
788. 2:08:41GPT and not not figure out you know ten percent of what it can do so that's if you want to get AI literate just
789. 2:08:52start with chat GPT and then kind of expand out from there get curious about it start following these companies you
790. 2:08:59know open AI anthropic Microsoft Google um uh inflection cohere there's a bunch of companies you know Nvidia there's a
791. 2:09:13bunch of companies out there that are doing all this stuff runwayml for video hey Jen for that language translation thing just start
792. 2:09:22getting curious about it and then as you have interest just run down rabbit holes there's there's a thousand rabbit holes
793. 2:09:29a minute you can run down here so I kind of use chat GPT as my home base with this AI stuff and kind of Twitter
794. 2:09:38is my news feed and then you know I'll see something on Twitter or on LinkedIn and I'm like oh that looks interesting
795. 2:09:44and I'll run over I'll run I'll sort of just you know sniff around the rabbit hole if it's at all interesting I'll run
796. 2:09:50down it really quick and then I kind of come back up and go back to chat EBT and that's I just sort of you know have a home base

810. 2:12:34how many things in your next mission the next mission involves 20 infections correct all right you're gonna say describe your
811. 2:12:44next mission right in the context it's going to have to be like next mission location correct or something or last
812. 2:12:50mission that should be pretty simple to do the last mission was Route 66. it lasted 30 minutes and there were two
813. 2:12:57thermal anomalies protected so there's two messages one is a system message and one is trust her I did so this was four months ago
814. 2:13:07so what have they done with this thing in the last four months so so I know this isn't bionics necessarily but but I just think
815. 2:13:15what the large language models do is they really accelerate the the speed that you can it instead instead of having to
816. 2:13:24having an engineer manually code the logic of how do we get these 18 specific systems to Output hand-coded reports to then you
817. 2:13:37know turn those into spoken language and have something like Siri or Alexa today where there's pseudo-conversational no
818. 2:13:45this is fully conversational so the ability to take inputs of any kind have the large language models be the
819. 2:13:54translation layer in between it and and then do outputs of any kind is it's going to accelerate everything
820. 2:14:02so and and it's not just language right so that's that's the thing where people are talking about they're taking fmri
821. 2:14:09data they're training it kind of like a diffusion model right and and and saying okay when the pattern looks like this
822. 2:14:17that means I'm thinking about moving my leg so when that happens in my brain send signals down to the electrodes in the
823. 2:14:24base of my spine and have it move my legs and I'll relearn how to walk with that that's what that guy in Italy's doing so
