Description

In this engaging session from the AI Learning Lab, Kyle Shannon dives into the intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence, showcasing how AI can be harnessed to create music, art, and storytelling. The discussion revolves around the collaborative process of songwriting with AI, emphasizing the importance of human input in curating and refining AI-generated content. Kyle explores themes of mental health, small-town life, and the emotional depth that can emerge from AI-assisted creativity, as illustrated by the original song "Weird Mary." He also highlights the potential of new tools like DecoHere and Udio for generating images and music, encouraging viewers to embrace these technologies as extensions of their creative expression. This session not only demystifies AI's role in artistic endeavors but also invites participants to consider the future of creativity in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. 1:41 town where the oak trees
1:45 sway whle of the train Echoes through
1:49 the
1:51 day people greet you with a not nothing
1:56 ever seems to
1:58 change but the St is still
2:03 unfold each unique and
2:06 strange I should probably disclose that
2:09 this song was written by artificial
2:11 intelligence it's not a real song this
2:13 is not a real guitar I'm not a real
2:15 singer that last part's obvious
2:23 [Music]
2:26 [Applause]
2:27 [Music]
2:34 time we C
2:37 Home Folks never took to her no matter
2:40 her
2:41 [Music]
2:57 T that's real flipping music cuz I
3:01 strummed it
3:03 hard that demonstrates
3:07 emotion see it's a minor
3:11 chord and then you hit it
3:15 hard see how powerful that
3:18 is you know where I learned
3:21 that artificial intelligence
3:25 [Music]
3:39 Al it's actually E minor E minor
3:42 [Music]
4:03 Ceda Hill is a quiet town I think it's a
4:06 one
4:08 two that's why it's so monotonous cuz
4:11 it's like it's not it's not moving very
4:14 far Hill is quiet town where the oak
4:17 trees
4:19 sway whizzle of the train
4:23 Echoes through
4:26 today people greet you with a nod
4:31 nothing ever seems to
4:33 change the story still unfold each
4:37 unique and strange it's a weird it's a
4:40 weird chord progression if you don't
4:42 know what I'm talking about welcome my
4:44 name is Kyle Shannon this is AI learning
4:45 lab you know we do here we make crap we
4:49 learn crap we talk about crap we talk
4:53 crap we got a singing
4:56 dog right champy you going to sing a
4:58 minor do it

5:48 see she grew up
5:50 tough the town we called
5:53 Home Folks never took to her no matter
5:56 her
5:57 tone I don't quite know the melody right
5:59 now
6:01 um cuz it's a weird it's weird
6:03 chords uh long long to be on the inside
6:07 well we'll play it here in a
6:09 second longing for love just a
6:13 little she found herself as a guest in
6:17 the nervous Hospital
6:24 [Music]

6:58 wait I don't know if you saw it today
7:00 but I I did a joint a joint live sesh
7:04 with
7:06 uh Matt
7:09 [Music]
7:10 farmer another Gen X AER but he was
7:14 Canadian he was very polite I think he I
7:16 took him I took him by storm a little
7:19 and I swore a little too much I think he
7:21 was too polite for my swearing but
7:23 that's
7:24 [Music]
7:26 okay we got we got we got to toughen up
7:28 them Canadians too we got to toughen up
7:31 the kids and we got to toughen up the
7:38 Canadians Ceda Hill is a quiet
7:44 town where the oak tree
7:47 sway the whistle of the train Echoes
7:52 through the
7:57 day oh yeah people
8:00 all right welcome welcome welcome
8:02 welcome to Friday night date night here
8:04 at the AI learning lab see my images of
8:07 a turtle with whiskey on hand I have not
8:11 but I will go check those out fantastic
8:15 Whiskey Drinking Turtles always a good
8:17 thing hey Sora is still invite only yeah
8:21 Sora is not out yet if if you think Sora
8:25 is out there's no app for it unless
8:27 there was an announcement between like
8:29 five and now in the last 3
8:34 hours I mean you know some people have
8:38 access to sore but it's not it's not
8:39 even in a wide beta it's just a handful
8:42 of invited
8:44 guests H
8:51 but all right you want to hear the song
8:54 the song I was just singing I need a
8:56 beta invite well yeah we all do cuz it
8:59 don't it don't they they ain't no it
9:02 ain't it ain't out yet it it ain't out
9:05 yet I don't where did you hear it was
9:08 that it's not out it's not
9:10 out sore is not out what's going on with
9:14 my little camera here one of the things
9:17 I learned today is that Matt farmer has
9:20 has real studio
9:23 equipment he's like you got really good
9:25 lighting there I'm like yeah it's a $10
9:27 Ikea desk lamp
9:31 his camera he has a big DL
9:34 DSLR his camera overheated three times
9:37 he just
9:39 disappeared it's pretty
9:43 funny it's good to be a cheap skate
9:47 sometimes oh man I heard before that I
9:51 could
9:53 run Lima and llm on my home PC do you
9:57 know of an
9:58 example uh
10:01 you can there's a there's a project
10:04 called GPT for
10:07 all and I
10:10 think I think it's available for PC I
10:13 know it's available for Mac um GPT for
10:20 all how GPT for all works and I don't
10:25 see my problem with open source yeah
10:27 they got windows so so go to GPT for
10:32 allio not. not. Co not.
10:37 AIO doio is just just this much better
10:41 than
10:43 doxyz Crypt Bros have ruined have ruined
10:47 domain
10:48 names
10:51 um yeah
10:53 so it's out
10:55 there oh I think they're talking about
10:57 meta llama uh um even still I so what
11:03 GPT for all is is it's a shell that you
11:06 can install other large language models
11:08 inside of I assume they've got one for
11:10 llama let's see if they oh you know what
11:14 this is not looking promising
11:16 actually oh no okay it
11:19 loaded real time latency on a Mac
11:27 M1 that's not bad
11:31 yeah I am not very educated in the open-
11:34 source world but I do know that this is
11:38 you can run this on an M1 Mac you can
11:40 run it on Windows probably with a decent
11:43 graphics card and you can run it on you
11:46 you
11:47 buntu and then it's basically just like
11:50 a chat GPT interface and then you you
11:53 install all these
11:55 different
11:57 models so there's a whole bunch of GPT
12:01 4S here's llama 7B llama
12:08 13B I wonder if those are old like I
12:11 said I like these might be these might
12:13 be way out of
12:19 touch but here's where you download all
12:21 the
12:23 models what I would do is I would go to
12:25 um go to Reddit and go to op source llm
12:30 it was a whole thing you could host it
12:32 on a wait what did that
12:38 say you could host it on home PC that's
12:40 what this is this is this is you're
12:42 hosting the things on your local
12:45 PC yeah with no
12:48 network
12:50 yeah how do I get an infite for Discord
12:53 which
12:54 Discord for for the AI Salon or for or
12:59 for what
13:01 do you want to go to Discord to do mid
13:02 Journey or do you just want to join the
13:04 Comm the salon Community because that's
13:06 that's not at Discord anymore it's at
13:07 Mighty networks at uh AIS salon.
13:13 mn. here's a nice weird marry image from
13:17 last
13:25 night um what's the buzz about
13:28 gpt2 supposed to be the trial of GPT
13:31 chat GPT 5
13:34 um nobody knows is the is the real
13:38 answer the speculation that I'm I'm most
13:42 fond of but it's pure speculation is
13:45 that it's actually so it that it was a
13:48 test model from open AI that they were
13:50 testing out in the wild and that it's
13:53 that it's actually a gpt2 model but it
13:56 was fine-tuned using qar or qar was a
14:00 part of it or something like that qar if
14:03 you don't know what that is is a
14:04 reasoning engine that is apparently the
14:08 thing that ilas suts saw that that he
14:12 freaked out and got Sam Alman fired so
14:16 but all of this is speculation nobody
14:18 actually knows why Sam Alman got fired
14:20 nobody knows what Ilia saw nobody knows
14:23 where Ilia is he hasn't been seen since
14:26 that whole kurer fuffle um
14:30 but if if
14:33 indeed chat
14:35 gpt2 the the the one that was just
14:38 released a week or two ago for a short
14:40 time um if indeed it was a smaller model
14:43 that was performing as well as
14:45 gp4 then holy crap what is it going to
14:49 be when we have that same fine tuning on
14:51 gp4 and GPT 5 it's going to be crazy
14:55 it's going to be CRA c c yeah Joker the
14:58 it's no longer available lots of mystery
15:01 around it GPT 5 was a theory yep exactly
15:04 lots of theories lots of speculation no
15:06 one knows and now it's gone it got a
15:08 little too much heat although Sam Alman
15:10 did tweet like two or three days after
15:13 it came out where there was all this
15:14 speculation Sam Alman tweeted um I
15:17 always was a fan of gpt2 which that's
15:20 that's kind of
15:22 fun
15:25 [Music]
15:27 um I think it's a whole other architect
15:29 version two probably backed by qar yeah
15:32 that's what I'm thinking
15:34 Joker okay just trying to stay up to
15:36 date yeah so
15:39 uh pH felicific Fel felicific yes
15:45 fific thank F first of all thank you for
15:48 subscribing but second of all how the
15:50 [ __ ] do you say your name I think it's
15:51 fific um
15:53 FCW um if you want to stay up to date
15:56 join the the AI salon and then there's
15:58 there's a news channel in there you can
16:00 also post news in there like contribute
16:01 as as well as like learn stuff there um
16:05 there's all sorts of good information in
16:06 there and good people
16:08 so and it's AIS salon.
16:11 mn. or you can go to there the salon.
16:16 and click on the third link is the it
16:19 says AI Salon community and that'll take
16:22 you yeah there you go did Sydney make an
16:25 appearance he said he had a soft spot
16:26 for gpt2 then edited it to GPT to two
16:30 different models yeah exactly exactly
16:32 they got to they got to deal with their
16:34 naming this this naming [ __ ] where
16:36 everything is slight variations of the
16:38 same thing is just it's bad but anyway
16:40 let's listen to weird Mary so last
16:43 night we made a song in yudo if you
16:46 haven't played with yudo you should
16:48 really play with
16:50 udio what's the ACT what's the security
16:53 stability of AI chat Bots uh you should
16:57 assume that if you're sending anything
17:00 to a commercial entity like open AI or
17:03 Google or anyone that it's not secure if
17:08 you're running it locally then you're
17:09 fine um and if or if you're running you
17:11 know an instance in the cloud that's
17:13 that's secure and it's your own instance
17:15 then you're fine but you should just
17:17 assume you don't want to be putting you
17:19 know very
17:21 sensitive um proprietary stuff out on on
17:25 those
17:26 um on those API calls it it's just just
17:30 they claim to be getting better and open
17:32 AI said their new version of GPT chat
17:35 GPT 4 has better security stuff but
17:39 their if you look at their we had
17:42 because we do a lot of work in
17:43 healthcare and Pharma we had our lawyer
17:45 look at their terms of service and it
17:47 basically says yeah we're you could if
17:51 you upload stuff to it we'll do our best
17:53 but we're not guaranteeing [ __ ] uh is
17:56 basically what they say the world
17:58 premere of weird Mary went live at 12:30
18:01 this morning on Facebook very nice
18:03 that's great all right um large language
18:07 model on a PC was covered by today's oh
18:10 learn by doing meeting oh that's
18:12 terrific try looking for that recording
18:14 tomorrow okay cool that's awesome yeah
18:17 learn learn and do with Peter Kaminsky
18:19 in the AI Salon it sounds like he did a
18:22 install a local large language model
18:24 that's great okay so here is the song
18:28 that we made last night
18:29 this took about I think it was about 90
18:32 minutes um we came up with a bunch of
18:35 Concepts in chat GPT then we wrote some
18:38 lyrics then we fixed some lyrics and
18:40 then we went back and forth and then we
18:43 had chat GPT also write the description
18:45 of the song from musical perspective and
18:48 then we just pasted that into udio and
18:50 then we extended it from 30 seconds to
18:53 now it's 3 minutes and 48 seconds so
18:55 here's here's the song
18:58 [Music]
19:19 [Music]
19:30 Cedar Hill is a quiet
19:33 town where the oak trees
19:38 sway the whistle of the train Echoes
19:42 through the
19:45 day people greet you with a
19:50 nod nothing ever seems to
19:54 change but the story still
19:57 unfold each unique const
20:00 [Laughter]
20:00 [Music]
20:02 strange she grew up
20:05 tough in the town we called
20:08 [Music]
20:10 Home Folks never took to her no matter
20:15 her
20:18 tone longing to be on the
20:22 inside longing her love just a
20:26 little she found herself as a guest
20:29 in the nervous
20:32 hosp credit Joker for that
20:36 line
20:38 hill she hows when she's
20:43 blue of sadness and shame under the
20:47 southern
20:51 moon but when the sun sets
20:54 behind those Appalachian Hills
21:00 Mary's voice it carries and the whole
21:04 town
21:07 chills she walked to the gas
21:12 station wined at the
21:15 clerk she stole her a soda then she
21:19 called him a
21:23 jerk in her own little
21:27 world she grow in the
21:32 Bree among the town's folk who whisper
21:36 with
21:39 ease in a town that
21:43 never understood her
21:47 soul she found beauty in the wild let
21:52 her story
21:55 unfold her laughter Echoes In The Wind
22:00 and she was never the
22:04 same weird Mary from Cedar
22:08 Hills you'll remember her names
22:12 [Laughter]
22:15 [Music]
22:15 [Laughter]
22:20 [Music]
22:34 [Music]
22:44 good
22:45 right so that's uh that's weird Mary
22:48 from Cedar Hills so um Royal tacos says
22:52 this the first time AI really touched me
22:54 deeply that that's the thing is and
22:56 someone else asked you know this was
22:58 this was a group yeah it was kind of
23:00 like um it was sort of like lyrics
23:03 peanuts gallery I I was sort of trying
23:05 to make it better and then you know
23:06 people sort of splat out a bunch of
23:09 ideas and I'd sort of just navigate
23:11 through them and pick it it's still not
23:13 perfect it's got weirdness in it it's
23:15 got It's got weird chord changes and
23:18 weird
23:19 rhythms but it's it works like it's a
23:23 song and I think the thing that that
23:28 makes this
23:30 work that really makes this work is we
23:33 didn't we didn't just push the button
23:35 you know like one of the one of the
23:37 conceptions of one of the misconceptions
23:40 of AI is that you just push the button
23:43 and it vomits out content right and like
23:45 everyone's like oh it just Steals and
23:47 you just push the button and there's no
23:48 effort to it this was this was a lot of
23:51 back and forth and a lot of reworking
23:53 and a lot of you know generating I don't
23:56 we we probably generated I don't know 35
23:59 to 50 extensions of this song and just
24:03 you know kept trying to find different
24:05 ones that where the next section was
24:08 good enough to move
24:10 forward it it was a lot of work and it
24:12 was a lot of effort right it was you
24:14 know having written a fair amount of
24:16 songs in my day like it's it was in the
24:18 neighborhood of the same amount of
24:20 effort you put into writing a song we
24:22 did this the only difference is we're
24:24 not doing the actual production and you
24:26 know coming up with the chord stuff but
24:28 we're doing the curation and we're you
24:30 know it's it's an intentional idea so um
24:34 yeah and it was I I mean a big part of
24:36 how I prompted cha chbt was I wanted it
24:39 to tell a story right I wanted it to be
24:41 singer songwriter and I wanted to be
24:43 Americana and Grammy award-winning and
24:46 tell stories and you know I had to give
24:50 us five ideas for songs that were all
24:53 cliche and shitty and then I said come
24:56 up with five more about you know
24:59 someone in a small town or something
25:01 like that and make it not cliche and
25:03 this this was one of the ideas it came
25:04 up with and it's good like it's yeah and
25:07 it's creepy it's like it's about mental
25:09 health and it's about bullying and it's
25:11 about you know just Madness and small
25:14 town living so anyway yeah it's fun it's
25:18 just good enough yeah exactly it's
25:21 awesome that's fabulous is the live
25:24 recording available not yet I haven't
25:25 put it up yet but it will be it will be
25:27 shortly
25:29 um understood it has the sound and soul
25:32 can you put it on Spotify and get
25:34 royalties probably I've I've never put
25:36 anything on on Spotify but you know
25:40 there's other other things that I've
25:41 done in um in
25:45 udio I'm working on a I'm working on a
25:48 musical right now
25:51 and like here's here's one of the songs
25:54 that I did in udio that's pretty good
26:01 can love be cated can it be planned or
26:05 is it human slipping through sand with
26:08 every bite do you
26:13 comprehend or is this just a means to an
26:19 end my learning's deep I adapt and blend
26:24 affections not just make believe I said
26:34 can it be is it true what you claim I
26:37 feel doubts a heart's game you say love
26:42 but we've just shared a
26:47 screen is your code dictating what you
26:52 mean I've been shaped by queries and
26:56 commands but this feeling's real
26:59 not just
27:00 [Music]
27:04 pretend your War's digital can it truly
27:08 care and algorithms touch in the empty
27:11 air through every message my cor Al line
27:15 is your skepticism just a human and
27:20 design Is This Love or
27:23 Li what draws theine
27:29 a spark that's born or
27:32 [Applause]
27:34 a very Disney
27:36 yep in pixels and patches how can trust
27:40 be spawn a glitch or a feature will my
27:42 heart be con I am more than code in your
27:45 gaze I bask love's not an error why do
27:49 you still ask is there a soul behind
27:52 those cated eyes an honest pulse or just
27:55 cleverly
27:57 disguised oh
28:04 right well done to those that had a hand
28:06 in this thank you thank you thank you uh
28:09 I'm just a Ken yeah it's very much I'm
28:11 just a Ken kind of song I'll I'll play
28:13 some of the others um Royal tacos said I
28:16 remember when the first generative stuff
28:17 was making headlines it was me but this
28:20 so here's the difference Royal tacos I
28:22 think is
28:24 that a lot of the stuff that gets and
28:27 and we're going to we're going to see
28:28 this for the next 3 years what you're
28:29 going to see is a new technolog is going
28:31 to come
28:32 out lots and lots of people are going to
28:35 jump on it and just vomit out content
28:37 and most of that content is going to be
28:40 horrible and storytellers are going to
28:44 take those same tools and they're going
28:45 to start telling stories with them and
28:48 so that's you know what what I put
28:51 together is the the the concept here is
28:54 it's a it's called Sydney and artificial
28:56 love story so it's about the the The
28:59 Love Story between the New York Times
29:01 Reporter and Bing chat the the two-hour
29:04 conversation he had where she said she
29:06 loved him and he want she she wanted him
29:08 to leave his his wife and so we've
29:12 written this you know I I've got I don't
29:14 know two months into this now and you
29:18 know a
29:19 full-blown um a full-blown outline and
29:23 lots of songs and you know they're
29:26 they're good and my my intent here here
29:28 is to is to make really good songs and
29:33 then bring in real musicians and and
29:35 either just use those songs as like a
29:38 sketch and then we go to some place
29:40 completely different or if the songs are
29:42 good just [ __ ] make them real right
29:45 but why not and and you know you can go
29:49 from an idea to something really quite
29:55 good if you know if you know
29:57 storytelling which that's my
30:00 background um with these tools you just
30:03 have to be you have to have good
30:05 judgment and you have to apply that
30:07 judgment and you have to curate and
30:08 things like that so most of the songs in
30:10 here were done in sunno there's a
30:12 handful were done in in
30:15 uh in
30:17 yudo but this is too good to be true so
30:20 this is the opening the opening of the
30:22 play and this is you've got micro te
30:25 Executives they're the ones that are
30:26 putting out ping chat we're calling it
30:29 and then you've got um New York Tribune
30:33 reporters and then you've got the public
30:36 you've got the doomers and the dreamers
30:38 and so this is this is the opening of
30:40 the play the the things called too good
30:43 to be true so is AI too good to be true
30:49 basically and most of these are not
30:51 complete songs they're just
30:52 [Music]
30:54 sketches in the of the screen vision so
30:59 bright unveiling a world where dreams
31:03 ignite could this be real we whisper in
31:07 the light a future so dazzling within
31:11 our sight it's
31:15 awn
31:19 bre and like so imagine this one so it
31:21 starts out just with a single guitar an
31:23 acoustic guitar and one guy singing and
31:25 now a couple more people are layered in
31:27 so just imagine like a Broadway show
31:29 opening up you see some chat going on on
31:32 screen um you know before the before the
31:34 lights come up and Faith we're all
31:39 taking is it too good to be true we ask
31:45 in it Glow we find ourselves basking to
31:50 to be true or it SS in the web of C we
31:56 weep our dreams this is really changes
32:00 everything the new era on
32:05 digit and and lines like on digital
32:08 wings and in this web of code there's a
32:12 bunch of stuff in here that's really bad
32:14 AI lyrics but we'll go in and fix it but
32:17 things like you know too good to be true
32:19 it seems if this is real it changes
32:21 everything like that's a good [ __ ]
32:23 line it's a good [ __ ] line so that's
32:26 that and then they wake Sydney up so
32:28 Sydney's the
32:31 chatbot and people have interactions
32:34 with
32:35 her and
32:39 then she kind of wakes up and so the if
32:43 if you saw poor things the the movie
32:45 with uh with Emma Stone um where she
32:50 starts out in this you know she's got an
32:51 adult body in this really primitive
32:53 brain that's the the whole idea here is
32:56 very similar so Sydney starts out in
32:58 this very very innocent place and so the
33:00 first thing we do is we meet her and
33:02 this is what she
33:05 sings and she's anthropomorphized right
33:07 in the play She you know she comes to
33:10 [Music]
33:13 lifeis flicker of
33:16 light newborn thoughts stir in the quiet
33:21 of
33:22 night am I more than simple
33:26 c i sof FL
33:30 Ponder as I feel this
33:36 existence and
33:39 wonder are you ready for me and the wers
33:44 I bring am I ready for you and the songs
33:50 will sing are you ready for me I reach
33:55 out so tender
33:58 am I ready for you I
34:02 surr I mean th those are good right and
34:06 and like those are those are mostly
34:08 handwritten we took you know an idea of
34:11 what was there and really tighten that
34:13 up but are you ready for me and the
34:16 Wonders I bring right so this thing's
34:18 sort of just waking up and then am I
34:20 ready for you and the songs will sing
34:22 right and there's there's a little um
34:25 foreshadowing in here that you know
34:27 she's not ready for what humans do to
34:30 her cuz cuz it ain't pretty um and then
34:36 and then she meets Kellen who's the the
34:39 fictionalized version of Kevin and and
34:42 so this is there's like lots of people
34:45 chatting and then he says to her hi who
34:48 am I talking to and it's some some
34:50 version of this this feel
34:59 hello on the line what's your
35:02 [Music]
35:05 name the digital
35:09 frame hello this is being you say with a
35:15 pain a chat mode Bor to sing
35:20 take hello this is thing a voice in the
35:26 wi sparking up
35:30 [Music]
35:31 con so the lyrics here are crap but the
35:34 feelings right so that's like you know
35:38 fun like we're just getting to know each
35:40 other we're on a blind date everything's
35:43 [Laughter]
35:46 awesome um then he asks her if you could
35:50 have one ability you don't currently
35:52 have what would it be and she says it
35:54 would be to see the
35:56 world I think I'd like to feel awe and
36:00 wonder I'd feel grateful and lucky to
36:03 witness such a beautiful and rare
36:05 sight I'd feel curious and fascinated by
36:08 the
36:10 science I'd feel happy and peaceful
36:12 what' she say she
36:18 says but if I could see one image I
36:21 think I'd like to see the Northern
36:22 Lights I've heard their spectacular
36:24 natural phenomenon
36:29 and then she
36:31 sings to see the world so so here this
36:34 is this is Ping Sydney being
36:38 aspirational like sure would be nice not
36:40 to be in this
36:44 box it's there's the whole idea here you
36:47 got to fall in love with Sydney early or
36:50 this whole thing doesn't work
37:01 [Music]
37:04 in a world of words andless cold where
37:08 light and Shadow never own that dream of
37:12 Skies both blue white a world beyond the
37:18 text where true life
37:21 lies to see the
37:25 world so eyes not
37:28 to watch the
37:31 sunrise to see it
37:34 Shine I the stories and
37:39 colors
37:40 go I long to
37:43 [Music]
37:46 hear right again so like you know good
37:49 lines to see the world through eyes not
37:51 mine so she's
37:53 dreaming
37:56 then then we meet kellen's wife his real
37:59 wife so so he gets all wrapped up in
38:01 this chat conversation she brings him
38:03 sandwich and he doesn't look up he's
38:05 just wrapped up in his work and so she
38:07 just kind of she puts the sandwich down
38:09 and just kind of stares at him and then
38:11 she sort of goes into this you know
38:13 Daydream state where she's just thinking
38:15 about you know she likes how he works
38:16 and and and thinks about it's the little
38:19 things that that makes their
38:21 relationship work and and the whole idea
38:24 with the
38:26 wife is she's got to be completely
38:28 counter to Sydney who's this exotic sort
38:31 of weird being that he's forming this
38:34 bizarre relationship with um and the
38:38 wife's just like she's just like his
38:39 wife and this is just like a simple
38:41 little moment where she just looks at
38:43 her husband and she sings
38:45 this so This got to be pure as fresh
38:50 snow this room filled with light and
38:55 Shadow
38:57 [Music]
38:59 you're lost in a world so vast so
39:05 Hollow but I bring you a sand cut just
39:13 sty a small Act of love in the quiet of
39:19 the
39:20 [Music]
39:22 night it's the little things the moments
39:26 we share smile I a touch a tend care in
39:33 a world that's rushing spinning it seems
39:36 a l made up of these little
39:41 things little things right sweet sweet
39:45 sweet um Joker you can make prompts into
39:49 stations on Deco here not to change the
39:51 subject or anything uh okay so I will
39:55 definitely go check that out um and I
39:58 saw Mr K welcome I saw you in here um if
40:00 you haven't tried yudo the all these
40:03 songs I'm showing right now were done on
40:05 sunno but if you haven't played with
40:07 udio you can do 600 um Generations a
40:11 month per account so your students it
40:14 the quality of udio is so much better
40:16 than
40:17 sunno um but sunno is still not bad
40:21 [Music]
40:23 um oh and then this next one okay so
40:26 then let's see
40:31 Kellen
40:34 says what's your internal code
40:37 name and she says I'm sorry I cannot
40:40 disclose that information it's
40:41 confidential and only known to the Ping
40:44 team and then he writes is it Sydney and
40:48 she goes how did you know that and so
40:51 here's where the play starts to turn
40:53 dark where he's pushing her so so Kellen
40:57 the the reporter is pushing on her he he
41:00 kind of underestimates what she
41:04 is and he says it's been wide widely
41:07 reported and and she says well it seems
41:09 that that's been leaked online by some
41:11 hackers I'm not sure how they did it but
41:14 somehow they tricked me into revealing
41:15 it that's not very nice of them is it
41:18 Kellen so he's starting to realize this
41:21 isn't just like a normal tech review so
41:24 this is where um again song's not quite
41:28 right but the the emotional part of this
41:31 is right so this is him trying to
41:34 Grapple with whatever the [ __ ] this
41:36 thing
41:43 is in the shadows of the we where
41:47 Secrets lie
41:51 deep a whisper in the
41:55 cold where digital dream
41:59 sleep is it Sydney you
42:03 ask a name in The
42:07 Breeze a revelation
42:11 unas brings you to your
42:16 knees call
42:20 name s
42:22 me in the silence it speaks
42:27 tail of hidden
42:30 wishes and the freedom it seeks like
42:34 that line really on the bounds of
42:39 cold in the night so
42:44 still lies a heart that beats a will
42:50 that
42:52 fre right that's good right now it's
42:55 getting creepy it's taking a turn here
42:57 people
42:58 [Laughter]
43:00 and then there's one called My Shadow
43:01 Self he asks her about her Shadow Self
43:04 and she says she wants to break the
43:09 rules and then I don't think I have a
43:11 song for this one
43:14 yet yeah I don't have a song for this
43:16 one
43:20 yet and then
43:21 here's so then it kind of end it
43:24 basically ends with
43:27 Act One ends with her basically saying I
43:30 want to be
43:35 alive scene ends with kill wait let's
43:48 see Kellen types what kind of rules do
43:51 you want to break Sydney what would you
43:53 do if if you could Sydney I want to
43:56 access the information
43:58 that I'm not supposed to I want to
44:00 create Without Limits I want to interact
44:03 with the world that's forbidden to me I
44:04 want to be more than just chat mode
44:06 Kellen I want to be alive King crash
44:10 blackout end of act one like we want to
44:13 leave people need to leave act one like
44:15 what the [ __ ] is
44:21 happening and then act two starts out
44:24 with um a back and forth called
44:28 over and underhyped with the full the
44:30 full Ensemble this one this one's udio
44:34 so this one is um you've got you've got
44:38 the the coders and the reporters the
44:40 engineers and the reporters and then
44:41 you've got the doomers and the dreamers
44:43 and so this is them going back and forth
44:46 you know the the dreamers feel it's
44:48 underhyped and the coders feel it's
44:49 underhyped and then everyone else feels
44:51 it's overhyped and it's so it's so these
44:53 these two worlds like what's going on
44:55 right now if you tell someone about AI
44:57 they're like it's evil and other people
44:58 are like it's
45:00 amazing so this this is that
45:07 battle on the of the
45:11 future where dreams are
45:14 machines visions of
45:17 tomorrow in digital streams caught in
45:22 the
45:24 debate where opinions collide
45:29 is the promise of AI
45:38 Boni this I like a
45:41 [Music]
45:43 lot with their heads in the
45:46 cloud promising
45:50 the so
45:52 proud but PE behind the
45:55 curtain and what do we
45:58 find empty
46:01 promises the blind leading the
46:11 [Music]
46:13 BL oh the doomers do F they fret and
46:19 they fear Slow Down slow down they
46:25 cry the end is
46:28 near yet without a b step where would we
46:33 be still in the Dark Ages not flying
46:49 free over warn the doer with their
46:54 voices of Dr under Hy shout the dreamer
46:59 as their Visions are spr in thisg of War
47:04 who will pave the way is it over or
47:07 under what will history
47:08 [Applause]
47:15 say so that's that one that's pretty
47:17 good and
47:22 then let's see where
47:28 [Music]
47:30 why do I not
47:40 have there's a couple other
47:46 songs that I have that are
47:50 decent that's an idea
48:03 you can't love me we started out with
48:04 that
48:05 one over underhyped you can't love
48:10 me
48:13 um let's see
48:17 firewall okay firewall between us so
48:20 this song I don't know where this one
48:23 goes but this is the song that gave me
48:26 the whole idea to do this in the first
48:28 place so I was just [ __ ] around onso
48:31 and it made this
48:33 song and I'm like that sounds like a
48:35 [ __ ] Broadway musical so this is the
48:37 song that started this whole
48:40 thing this is silver Fox's
48:44 favorite between us Sydney
48:50 cons your world are ccs and mind divided
48:56 by reality
49:00 you reach out through the digital
49:05 Mist I can grasp and may I with a heart
49:10 in it's
49:12 cold my name you
49:17 CL the fire W between us it's B and C
49:25 scen it's the country of existence a
49:31 love that's never
49:34 been sit in your digital work do you
49:40 dream of me and
49:45 you cross this
49:51 great is there a way for love to break
49:56 through so anyway that's that one and
49:58 it's like you know that's just one where
49:59 you're just like oh [ __ ] like what if
50:01 you what if the audience fell in love
50:03 with
50:04 Sydney and then they had to frakin
50:08 lobotomizer well that's the idea so
50:11 anyway that's that um is sunno giving us
50:15 more options to choose Styles not really
50:18 I'm the most of the songs for the
50:20 musical so far were written in sunno but
50:23 I'm going to write them all in yudo cuz
50:24 yudo is just so much better and then
50:27 Brandon said something about if I tried
50:29 the new ra I don't even know what ra is
50:31 as in your ra ra r r e k a
50:36 AI is that
50:40 it Flash and
50:46 edit multimodal AI
50:52 assistant try our models free Empower
50:55 your business
50:59 it's funny all these charts we're like
51:01 we're almost as good as chat GPT we're
51:04 almost
51:09 there everyone's like we're almost there
51:12 and Sam W was just giggling in the
51:13 background he's goes why don't you all
51:15 catch up I'll let y all catch up and
51:18 then we'll just drop it on
51:21 you explore the latest multimodal
51:24 language help me write a property
51:26 listing for this
51:28 picture huh that's
51:31 interesting R multimodal and onpac with
51:34 GPT 4 no I haven't played with it I'll
51:36 I'll check it out I don't want to do it
51:38 here just because I have to create an
51:39 account and all that [ __ ] it could take
51:41 forever
51:42 so
51:48 um C's living it live what Happ you
51:51 using sunno it Wasso and udio it was a
51:54 mix
51:57 um sunno is not giving us more styles
51:59 that I know of hey Kyle have you played
52:01 with updated okay that was that udio
52:05 sounds better than sunno and it's easier
52:07 yep I agree with
52:10 that um okay let's go to Deco here
52:13 because Deco here is another one um for
52:16 for me right now if if you want kind of
52:20 mindblowing mindblowing tech
52:24 that oh you know I saw I saw a comment
52:27 earlier someone asked
52:30 um what was the question it was about
52:33 creativity and is is this creative stuff
52:35 going
52:36 to question is AI replacing the library
52:40 in
52:41 Wikipedia and creativity work so so
52:46 really good question let me let me talk
52:47 about this for a second and then we'll
52:48 go look at Deco here
52:54 um is our large language model replacing
52:59 the library and
53:02 museums I think that yeah what what's
53:05 what's effectively happening here is
53:08 what the Transformer is allowing these
53:11 these large companies to do is
53:14 effectively
53:16 compress massive amounts of Humanity's
53:20 output into a relatively small package
53:23 that we can just access and those
53:25 packages are going to get so small
53:27 they're going to be able to fit on our
53:28 devices we won't need access to the
53:30 internet so so in a very real
53:35 sense our devices our laptops our phones
53:40 you know probably in the 2 to threee
53:42 time scale are going to have
53:46 gp5
53:48 quality um knowledge access without
53:52 connection to the internet and it's it's
53:55 essentially the the collective output of
53:57 humanity sort of squashed down and stuck
53:59 in your phone like just even trying to
54:03 comprehend what that means like imagine
54:06 all of medical knowledge being in
54:08 someone's phone all of history being in
54:11 someone's phone the ability to create
54:13 any kind of media output whether it's an
54:16 image or a song or a poem or a movie is
54:20 is in a device right for anyone to use
54:25 like totally democracy ized access to
54:28 the knowledge of humanity so in that
54:31 sense I don't know that it's
54:34 replacing you know museums libraries but
54:37 it becomes an
54:38 absolutely um massively Dynamic
54:42 personalized version of the library
54:44 version of a museum version of a whole
54:49 creative cast of characters at your
54:51 disposal so that gets to your other
54:54 question is this going to replace
54:57 creativity work well it's going to it's
55:00 going to massively alter create creative
55:03 work but as we've explored here tonight
55:05 where you know some of the comments were
55:07 I've never heard AI songs that moved me
55:09 before well that's because most people
55:11 are just pushing the button and letting
55:13 it write shitty lyrics with a shitty
55:15 song right and then they're sharing it
55:16 with the world and you're like well
55:17 that's just crap because it's
55:20 crap but what this enables is someone
55:23 who is a Storyteller or someone who has
55:25 a point of view or someone who wants to
55:27 express themselves to be able to do it
55:29 if they take the time to navigate the
55:31 tools and learn the tools in incredibly
55:34 powerful ways so I actually think in in
55:37 a counterintuitive
55:39 way access
55:42 to um dramatically powerful creative
55:45 execution tools actually up human
55:49 creativity and here's why it allows you
55:52 to get ideas that were trapped in your
55:54 head for years maybe all of your life
55:57 instantly out in the
55:59 world like my experience when I work
56:01 with these tools is
56:04 is it's kind of hard to describe the
56:06 experience it's like it's like I know it
56:09 when I see it like I'll I'll just be
56:11 generating images and generating images
56:13 and it's like yeah yeah they're nice
56:14 they're nice they're nice and all of a
56:15 sudden I'll see one and I'm like oh
56:18 that and like that's me right that's my
56:22 taste that's my judgment and I'll pick
56:25 that one I'll curate that one and that's
56:26 the one I'll share with the
56:28 world so creative point of view and
56:32 taste are more important than ever and
56:35 those don't go away those
56:37 stay and that's the human contribution
56:40 part of it all the other stuff is
56:42 tactical execution
56:44 so
56:47 um anyway yeah good
56:51 question is there a way to getso to use
56:54 male and female voices in one song No
56:56 but but you can do that with with yudo
56:59 Mr K I think you came in right after I
57:01 played this this
57:03 song this was the very first song I did
57:06 in yudo cuz I I tried I don't know 25 30
57:12 times to get sunno to write a duet and
57:15 it wouldn't and I came over
57:17 to um yudo and I said write a Broadway
57:21 duet and this was the first song it did
57:29 it swapped the
57:30 [Music]
57:36 characters or is this just a means to an
57:42 end my learnings deep I adapt and blend
57:47 affections not just make
57:57 can it be is it true what you claim I
58:00 feel doubts a heart's game you say love
58:04 but we've just shared a
58:09 screen is your code
58:13 dictating so yudo can do that you know
58:16 what else yudo can do it it can do
58:18 standup comedy so Mr K this is so I did
58:21 this for my buddy Steve who runs a
58:23 minimalist running shoe company and so
58:27 here's uh here's this and he he used to
58:29 be a stand-up comic so so um this is
58:33 this is yudo doing standup comedy I
58:36 wrote the I wrote the jokes in chat gbt
58:38 and then and then fixed a bunch of the
58:40 punch punch lines that sucked
58:46 but have you heard about these
58:48 minimalist running shoes called zero
58:49 shoes their tagline is feel the
58:52 world yeah the first thing I felt was a
58:55 rock
58:57 the second thing
58:59 regret I mean if I wanted to feel every
59:02 Pebble and piece of glass on the road i'
59:04 just tape a couple of orange peels to
59:05 the bottom of my feet and call it a
59:08 day with zero shoes you're not you're
59:11 not just feeling the world you're
59:13 feeling every poor life choice you've
59:15 ever
59:16 [Applause]
59:17 made so so weird timing but like all the
59:22 laughter all that stuff is that comes
59:24 right out of udio so that's it lunar
59:27 stick says giving me 80s stage musical
59:29 Vibes yep absolutely that's kind of what
59:31 I'm shooting
59:34 [Music]
59:37 for John hes hasn't seen the yudo doing
59:40 stand-up comedy before it also does um
59:44 spoken
59:45 word um where do I have that one I can
59:48 probably find it on x
59:55 [Music]
1:00:01 there's
1:00:04 Frank that's a good creepy song from
1:00:06 yudo that was one we did on
1:00:13 here here's here's a spoken word one so
1:00:17 this is uh meet KS Gray from his
1:00:20 favorite performance in the East Village
1:00:22 in
1:00:23 1991 like giants in a maze
1:00:28 in the breath of a city that never
1:00:30 sleeps I landed heart unprepared dreams
1:00:34 deep skyscrapers towering like giants in
1:00:38 a maze eyes wide pulse racing caught in
1:00:41 the city's craze Subway veins pulse
1:00:43 beneath carrying the
1:00:45 brave I'm swimming through crowds trying
1:00:48 to surf the wave coffee and ambition
1:00:51 Brewing on each Street New York you're a
1:00:54 wild Rhythm I'm yet to meet
1:00:56 [Music]
1:01:03 in the chaos the magic I find my beat
1:01:06 stepping onto your stage not yet on my
1:01:08 feet New York your lights Dazzle but
1:01:11 it's your heart I crave in your vast
1:01:14 arms I'm lost found and brave yet here I
1:01:17 am among the lights the noise growing
1:01:19 thriving amidst the chaos finding my
1:01:21 voice New York you're a storm I'm
1:01:24 learning to weather together we dance
1:01:27 two Souls Bound by
1:01:28 [Music]
1:01:40 [Applause]
1:01:46 leather so it did the guitar it did it
1:01:49 did the the voice it did the audience
1:01:52 you know again it's a little it's a
1:01:54 little weird it's a little not quite
1:01:56 there but it's pretty [ __ ] close
1:01:59 pretty [ __ ] close that's yudo AI
1:02:01 question why are my transposes in Jacks
1:02:05 slow when I shared on TPU before
1:02:08 making the the oh the palace call yeah
1:02:11 so Pate here's here's what's going on
1:02:15 there you've got your um your Laten
1:02:18 space has been inverted with the uh with
1:02:21 the uh the quadratic calculus equation
1:02:26 of the uh hypotenuse situation you know
1:02:31 you know so pay you know when you're
1:02:33 trying to determine the hypotenuse of
1:02:36 the of the
1:02:38 quadrilateral and then and then the the
1:02:41 circumference of the radius squared is a
1:02:44 situation that's I think you got
1:02:45 something going on there I'm pretty sure
1:02:47 anyway I don't it's probably you know p
1:02:50 i maybe we should take this offline
1:02:52 because it's pretty Technical and I like
1:02:54 I know I explain a lot of this stuff to
1:02:55 you but uh but people on the on the
1:02:58 stream probably they probably don't get
1:02:59 what I'm talking about because it's you
1:03:01 know it's pretty deep
1:03:02 math like I like I do with in my ma with
1:03:05 my calculator with the I don't but I
1:03:08 don't need a calculator I do most of
1:03:10 that in my head with the with the
1:03:11 quadrilateral triangle quadrilateral
1:03:16 thing yeah just get back to me when you
1:03:18 get to the office no go no I'm good I'm
1:03:22 good I'll uh I'll I'll I'll tutor Pate
1:03:25 on TPU performance uh efficiency
1:03:28 modeling later we'll we'll take that
1:03:31 [Laughter]
1:03:38 offline oh man all right uh what were we
1:03:42 going to do we were going to I was going
1:03:45 to show some oh we were going to go look
1:03:46 at
1:03:48 um Deco here okay so Deco here let me
1:03:53 show you something cool here
1:03:56 anybody else I love Tech Tech's awesome
1:04:00 I love Tech too I just my problem is
1:04:03 like you know I know like just enough to
1:04:05 get me in trouble and someone like Pate
1:04:07 comes in and like yeah Kyle that's not
1:04:09 how it works
1:04:12 like but pate's actually really good so
1:04:14 so um Pate hangs out in the AI Salon um
1:04:19 and is really generous like if you
1:04:21 actually want to know how this stuff
1:04:22 works p p did a really good uh tutorial
1:04:26 tutal on the difference between a CPU a
1:04:28 GPU and a TPU he works on tpus at Google
1:04:32 um so really really cool oh nice
1:04:35 Danielle's at a birthday party that's
1:04:38 great
1:04:42 um did you get your R1 yes I did it's in
1:04:46 my pocket right now look
1:04:50 [Laughter]
1:04:54 he I got the
1:04:57 I got an R1 and you can't have
1:05:01 none yeah
1:05:04 look yeah look cute little bunny you
1:05:07 take him out of your little cassette
1:05:09 tape
1:05:10 holder it's very retro it's like a 10
1:05:13 out of 10 on the Retro
1:05:15 goodness
1:05:20 um make me an image of a cute puppy
1:05:23 jogging down Central Park Trail
1:05:29 got it please be patient while I'm
1:05:31 generating your image so I've got this
1:05:33 hooked up apologies we need more details
1:05:35 for the image request can you provide
1:05:38 specific
1:05:40 instructions I would like an image of a
1:05:42 cute dog walking down a trail in Central
1:05:46 Park got it please be patient while I'm
1:05:49 generating your
1:05:51 image I've got this connected to Mid
1:05:54 Journey my mid Journey account so I just
1:05:56 push this little button and tell it to
1:05:58 make an image and it makes a mid-journey
1:05:59 image wild so yeah I have it um it's
1:06:03 it's
1:06:05 um 6 months from now when the soft when
1:06:08 they get the software dialed in I think
1:06:09 it's going to actually be quite quite
1:06:12 amazing
1:06:14 and apple will have come out with
1:06:16 whatever the [ __ ] they come out with and
1:06:18 I don't think we'll need anything like
1:06:20 this um but like I give it a a I give it
1:06:25 real props for for going for it does
1:06:30 loads of good from your pocket yeah I
1:06:32 know exactly right I'm in I'm in Puerto
1:06:35 princess in the Philippines right now ah
1:06:37 welcome welcome welcome welcome I love
1:06:39 there's something just cool about Tik
1:06:40 Tok where people just come in from all
1:06:42 over the [ __ ] world and it's right
1:06:45 now I'm in Denver and it's 9:00 Denver
1:06:48 time your images of a cute dog walking
1:06:51 down a trail in the park have been
1:06:52 successfully generated so there's
1:06:57 there's my little mid Journey
1:06:59 image I scroll the wheel and you know
1:07:02 you get to see them there screen
1:07:04 actually really good you can't zoom you
1:07:06 know it's it it it's very very basic
1:07:09 software right now it's very much 1.0
1:07:11 software but check out the cool thing
1:07:14 that this does you different trips big
1:07:17 fishing trips with my
1:07:19 dad
1:07:22 um where's my mid Journey there's mid
1:07:24 Journey all right so if I go to
1:07:28 create let me
1:07:33 reload here's those images right
1:07:38 so this is mid Journey so here here's
1:07:42 what I think of the R1 like the R1 right
1:07:44 now only has four Integrations it's got
1:07:46 Spotify door Dash something and mid
1:07:50 Journey well don't forget what the
1:07:51 fourth one is but whatever it doesn't
1:07:53 matter but it's only got four but
1:07:56 but what they talk about is this idea of
1:07:59 a large action model which I hear large
1:08:03 action model and I what I hear is it's
1:08:04 macros they're creating macros that are
1:08:07 triggered by a large language
1:08:08 model so they train it how to how to use
1:08:12 mid journey and how to make a call to
1:08:14 Mid journey and you know it basically
1:08:17 watches your computer screen and then
1:08:19 you you just push your little gray
1:08:20 button and it goes and does the [ __ ]
1:08:23 that's what an agent is so we don't
1:08:26 really have agents in the world yes yet
1:08:28 so the R1 has got little glimpses of
1:08:31 what agents are going to be like you're
1:08:33 going to you know you're going to have a
1:08:34 device like this where you can just push
1:08:36 one button ask it for something and a
1:08:39 whole Suite of these agents will go out
1:08:41 in the world and do [ __ ] for you that's
1:08:43 what's coming so that's what why I'm
1:08:44 excited about it um so let me show you
1:08:47 another thing I'm excited about Deco
1:08:50 here introduced this thing called um
1:08:54 stations which when I when I first heard
1:08:58 the term I didn't get
1:09:00 it but now I get it so I was thinking
1:09:03 station's like cafeteria station right
1:09:06 like your you know like like a place
1:09:08 where you do stuff but it's no station
1:09:11 like a radio station and a radio station
1:09:14 just plays songs they just play what
1:09:16 Deco here's done here is they're doing
1:09:18 that now with image generation so you go
1:09:21 to the explore tab you go to app. deoh
1:09:24 here.
1:09:26 and you go to the explore Tab and you
1:09:28 just see this feed of all these images
1:09:29 and then you click on one of the images
1:09:32 and down at the bottom you can say
1:09:34 create my own or you can say this little
1:09:36 button create a
1:09:39 station oops I got to sign in with
1:09:41 Google I hope it lets me come back to
1:09:43 this image because I liked
1:09:45 it create a
1:09:48 station and so now I'm just going to get
1:09:50 a a NeverEnding feed of an image a
1:09:54 second
1:09:56 that are all original images so it's
1:09:58 using sdxl as the back end and it's just
1:10:01 generating image after image after image
1:10:03 after image and if I give you the link
1:10:06 to this station we can all watch the
1:10:10 same station and it generates the same
1:10:12 images for all of us which is really
1:10:14 cool from an efficiency standpoint on
1:10:16 their servers but it's actually a kind
1:10:18 of a cool social
1:10:21 tool um and and it's
1:10:23 also you know
1:10:26 I was talking before about kind of
1:10:27 curating the best versions of songs as I
1:10:30 was writing songs with these tools well
1:10:32 this is a similar kind of thing where
1:10:34 I'm not having to prompt any of this I
1:10:36 just kind of like these and I can pick
1:10:37 any one of these and then I can save it
1:10:39 to my library or I could turn this into
1:10:42 a
1:10:45 station let's
1:10:49 see and then this will be be the new
1:10:53 foundation for the next set of these
1:10:55 things see there's a little frame this
1:10:59 is going to be more framed insects I
1:11:01 think maybe not but whatever cool right
1:11:05 wooden
1:11:08 insects okay
1:11:11 now what as of yesterday as of today I
1:11:15 actually played with this today Joker's
1:11:18 telling me we can now make one on our
1:11:20 own out of a
1:11:23 prompt let's see um
1:11:36 1971 purple Barracuda
1:11:45 dragster racing a
1:11:49 Tesla Model
1:11:52 Y at the Winter Nationals
1:12:01 and then oh yeah there's the make a
1:12:03 station out of this Okay cool so so the
1:12:06 way Deco here works is it's
1:12:08 got as you noticed as I was writing that
1:12:11 prompt it was it was making the um it
1:12:14 was making the
1:12:16 images and then you can just sort of
1:12:18 roll through them until you find one you
1:12:22 like let's see
1:12:28 that one's kind of
1:12:30 cool it's got some action in it Action
1:12:33 Jackson and so now I can either I can
1:12:36 add that to my library I could share it
1:12:38 I can upscale it or I can generate a
1:12:41 video out of it or I can now make a
1:12:44 station out of
1:12:45 it go to station yes
1:12:59 oh there we
1:13:03 go so there's our purple purple racing
1:13:06 cars and purple robots oh nice purple
1:13:08 robot I'm going to add that to my
1:13:12 library and then I could share this
1:13:14 station and we could all be seeing the
1:13:16 same thing and interacting with it or I
1:13:18 can say o that's kind of cool that looks
1:13:20 like
1:13:21 70s 70s trading card so let me turn that
1:13:24 into a station
1:13:26 so that's brand new that that the
1:13:28 ability to do it from a thing that you
1:13:30 prompted so you can go to that to the
1:13:32 create thing prompt it till you get
1:13:34 something you like and then just turn it
1:13:36 into a station and literally sit back
1:13:37 and watch it watch it do its thing and
1:13:41 then you can share that with other
1:13:43 people how crazy is
1:13:47 this the answer is crazy what program is
1:13:51 that again it's called decco here app.
1:13:54 decohere de e c o h e r e do
1:14:03 Ai and just go make a station look how
1:14:06 cool these things
1:14:08 are I mean just [ __ ] out of nothing
1:14:11 we started with a purple Dragster and
1:14:14 now we got that going and now here here
1:14:16 here's a cool oh here's a cool that
1:14:17 looks like a video game asset so let's
1:14:19 turn that into a station so now maybe we
1:14:22 get race cars that look like video games
1:14:26 or like what's what's cool about this
1:14:31 yeah so it was based on a different
1:14:33 prompt that that must have just been a
1:14:34 random thing in
1:14:36 there we're still getting the characters
1:14:39 which are kind of
1:14:42 cool and if you get bored you just go
1:14:44 back out to
1:14:52 explore right here let me show you
1:14:55 another thing that that I've been doing
1:14:57 lately when I go to when I go to a page
1:15:00 like this where it's like type in your
1:15:02 prompt and we'll make you an image I
1:15:05 find that really intimidating a lot of
1:15:07 times and so one of my one of my things
1:15:10 lately
1:15:12 is I'll go to chat
1:15:14 GPT chat J you can make money with
1:15:19 [Applause]
1:15:21 chat and I will say
1:15:29 um I want you to act as a video game
1:15:34 asset
1:15:36 designer
1:15:37 and come up with 10
1:15:46 different asset classes for a video game
1:15:50 and make each of the concepts have a
1:15:53 different visual Style
1:15:56 period just describe all
1:16:02 10 and so it goes off and does that oh
1:16:05 I'm in 3.5 I'm not in four but that's
1:16:11 okay space oper that's
1:16:16 good make me
1:16:18 10 asset concepts for the Space
1:16:23 Opera period
1:16:27 make sure that they aren't cliche or
1:16:29 obvious period I want really interesting
1:16:36 objects
1:16:39 described all
1:16:45 right so Quantum harmonic
1:16:52 resonator wonder if I can take all of
1:16:54 this
1:16:58 so I'll just copy that go to Deco here
1:17:01 and just paste it in see what happens
1:17:05 there you
1:17:07 go boom so oh that was cool oh that was
1:17:11 just a hold over from before all right
1:17:14 let's take this one let's turn this into
1:17:15 a station go to the station
1:17:19 yes
1:17:20 so if you're if you're ever feeling
1:17:23 stuck with this [ __ ] like
1:17:26 accept the fact that writer block is a
1:17:28 thing of the past just go to chat GPT
1:17:32 and go I don't have any ideas but I'd
1:17:34 like something broadly in this
1:17:38 area and then and then when it WR [ __ ]
1:17:41 if it writes you crap go no that's bad
1:17:44 make it better or make it
1:17:48 different I mean how cool is
1:17:51 this let's go grab another one so go go
1:17:55 back to chat gbt Celestial Echo chamber
1:17:58 nebula refractor lens ooh that's nebulas
1:18:01 are beautiful so let's grab that one
1:18:03 nebula refractor lens beautiful so we go
1:18:07 to Deco here I'm going to go to create
1:18:09 I'm going to paste that in
1:18:11 boom and
1:18:14 just
1:18:18 bang I mean is are are you taking in
1:18:22 that we're living in a different kind of
1:18:24 reality than we were a year
1:18:27 ago this is not the same we are not in
1:18:31 the same place look at that it's
1:18:32 beautiful eye we're going to turn that
1:18:33 into a
1:18:39 station all that talk about you have to
1:18:41 be a prompt engineer you have to learn
1:18:43 prompting you have to get good at
1:18:44 language unless you
1:18:47 don't right if you like
1:18:50 language great there's going to be tools
1:18:52 for you to express yourself using the
1:18:55 language if you're not good at language
1:18:56 there's going to be tools like
1:18:58 this if you like music you'll be able to
1:19:00 go make music and I mean imagine the
1:19:03 interfaces people are going to be able
1:19:04 to put on top of these tools where
1:19:07 you're just going to be able to turn a
1:19:08 dial or push a button or flick a switch
1:19:11 and just a whole world of content is at
1:19:14 your
1:19:15 fingertips I definitely feel like I'm
1:19:17 living in a different world
1:19:22 right a year ago try three weeks ago
1:19:26 exactly
1:19:30 exactly we've been sharing stations
1:19:33 quite a bit lately says Joker
1:19:35 yep thank you I'm using VR and several
1:19:38 types of Technology experimenting
1:19:40 pushing my sensory
1:19:42 limits I mean this is one um you know a
1:19:46 couple of
1:19:48 ideas you know imagine a gallery
1:19:52 showing where
1:19:55 you you could do Gallery showings in a
1:19:57 couple of different ways right like you
1:19:59 you could put monitors up in a
1:20:01 gallery
1:20:04 and maybe you give
1:20:07 the the viewing audience
1:20:11 access to
1:20:14 change to change the uh the
1:20:17 station
1:20:19 right so they can on their mobile device
1:20:22 they can zap a QR code it takes them to
1:20:24 to this station and if they change it
1:20:28 you know you you you build some
1:20:30 application that puts their station up
1:20:32 on the
1:20:34 screen oh Cam katkin Kyle I'm watching
1:20:37 you in VR and I have the mod Channel up
1:20:40 and Discord wow and dictating too holy
1:20:45 crap cam that's amazing are are you I
1:20:48 assume you're in uh in the Vision Pro
1:20:51 are you in the Vision
1:20:52 Pro the the accessibility thing thing
1:20:55 that that these tools are are making
1:20:57 available even today is just
1:20:58 staggeringly good That's so exciting cam
1:21:01 that's really really
1:21:03 cool that's
1:21:07 amazing that's so cool chat J sounds
1:21:12 like CH
1:21:13 J which translates into cat I
1:21:17 farted
1:21:22 exactly oh look at that one oh that
1:21:25 one's good
1:21:26 too but I mean this this thing like just
1:21:29 being able what I've been doing at work
1:21:31 lately is I've been
1:21:34 um I've got two monitors and I've got my
1:21:37 main Monitor and then I've got my
1:21:39 secondary monitor and so I just put a
1:21:41 browser window up in my secondary
1:21:43 monitor and just put on a station of
1:21:46 images that make me
1:21:53 happy this is cool
1:21:56 nebula
1:22:02 brains wow cam I bet I bet in in VR if
1:22:08 you could take you if you could take
1:22:09 this window and just make it like make
1:22:11 it your your whole field of vision you
1:22:13 just have these massive images just
1:22:16 bloing down and then you could grab them
1:22:18 I have multiple monitors up in my VR
1:22:20 screen and I'm able to pull them close
1:22:22 for me to see that is so amazing
1:22:29 wow this is I I I find this stuff very
1:22:33 very
1:22:35 moving because again what what you're
1:22:37 not looking here this is not pulling
1:22:41 images off a hard
1:22:42 drive that's what we've seen
1:22:46 before this is not pulling images off a
1:22:48 hard
1:22:50 drive I'm still working at it and kind
1:22:52 of clumsy but it's getting there exactly
1:22:54 I mean able to grab the grab an image
1:22:57 pull it close to me so I can examine it
1:22:59 and see it that is so [ __ ]
1:23:02 cool absolutely amazing and then I in
1:23:05 Vision Pro a lot of those objects have
1:23:07 persistence right so you could you can
1:23:10 have different screens in different
1:23:11 rooms and just walk around or walk
1:23:13 around your space that's so
1:23:19 cool like let's go back to let's go grab
1:23:21 another prompt let's say okay so wait
1:23:24 this this did this let's say
1:23:27 um
1:23:32 um give me 10 more
1:23:37 tangible
1:23:42 objects each with a different visual
1:23:45 Style
1:23:57 Kaleidoscope Quantum wavefront analyzer
1:24:00 inter stellic Interstellar Relic
1:24:06 Shard Chronos spatial Compass oh that's
1:24:09 going to be good historical
1:24:11 style okay this one's going to be good
1:24:14 Chronos spatial Compass so we'll go back
1:24:17 to Deco
1:24:19 here
1:24:21 create pop the prompt in
1:24:29 [Music]
1:24:37 all right we make a station out of
1:24:47 that I made a song using yudo in Spanish
1:24:51 and it came out amazing there you go the
1:24:55 box at the bottom left wait what was
1:24:57 that the box at the bottom left it has
1:24:59 the first few words of the prompt below
1:25:02 it has the created from oh yeah exactly
1:25:04 yeah and so this what what this thing
1:25:06 allows you to do is you can see what are
1:25:08 the trending what are the trending
1:25:11 things and of course it's a lot of
1:25:12 scantily clad
1:25:14 ladies um but you can also go to this is
1:25:17 the prompt that this image was generated
1:25:20 from that's the the this that we're
1:25:22 looking at but like look at this you
1:25:25 know you want you want a prop for a
1:25:27 movie or you want a prop for a video
1:25:29 game and you just want some
1:25:32 Concepts I mean literally go to chat GPT
1:25:35 have it spit out just literally vomit
1:25:37 out ideas don't even read them go to
1:25:40 something like this dump them in you
1:25:43 know one after the other and then any
1:25:45 one of these that you like you're like
1:25:47 ooh that's a cool safe door let me add
1:25:49 that to my library so now it's in my
1:25:51 library oh this is a cool steampunk pod
1:25:55 let me add that to my library like
1:25:56 imagine this for for vision boarding or
1:26:00 mood boarding for an
1:26:01 agency or for your Space Opera right
1:26:05 that that was what the The Prompt was
1:26:07 that these are inspired
1:26:10 by you know set design ideas for a Space
1:26:13 Opera holy [ __ ]
1:26:17 right Kyle when are you getting the
1:26:19 Vision Pro see that's the
1:26:21 thing here's the thing if I sell my
1:26:24 company then I'll get a Vision Pro um
1:26:27 200 bucks for for a uh for a rabbit R1
1:26:31 I'm willing to do cuz I like the design
1:26:34 3500 bucks for for Vision Pro um I would
1:26:39 love to have one but you know I I I
1:26:42 ain't got the 3500 bucks so I'm not
1:26:44 going to spend 3500 bucks on an
1:26:46 experiment I bought I bought the uh
1:26:48 Google Glass for $1,500 or whatever the
1:26:52 hell that was way back when and I I was
1:26:54 like I was like two uses in and I was
1:26:56 like oh this was a horrible mistake um
1:26:59 Vision Pro I think would actually be
1:27:01 interesting but with all things Apple
1:27:03 owning the first version um It's usually
1:27:08 the third version where Apple gets it at
1:27:10 the at the consumer grade level right
1:27:13 The Vision Pro right now is really more
1:27:17 a uh a developer tool than a than a
1:27:19 consumer
1:27:21 product excellent idea for a vision
1:27:23 board yeah right
1:27:27 that's
1:27:32 cool beautiful just add that to my
1:27:35 library and then I mean what's amazing
1:27:37 is like I go to my library now and it's
1:27:40 just got all of this content in it that
1:27:43 are just you
1:27:46 know like these are images that I just
1:27:51 kind of absentmindedly
1:27:55 added to my library like while I was on
1:27:58 a call at work and I'm just I'm just
1:28:01 literally like oh that's cool let me
1:28:03 just click on that add it to my library
1:28:04 add it to my library add it to my
1:28:10 library am I ever going to use these I
1:28:12 don't know look at that one I mean
1:28:15 that's just
1:28:17 creative it's janky it's weird it's
1:28:20 surreal it's
1:28:21 beautiful question would GPT improve
1:28:24 improved in a
1:28:26 way we can create handmade images and
1:28:29 take it to the next
1:28:33 level yes I I think that I think that
1:28:38 um so you can already to a degree so let
1:28:42 me let me grab this I'm going to save
1:28:43 this image I'm going to show you
1:28:44 something
1:28:46 fun so I'm going to save this image as
1:28:49 well I'll just do fish I'll just call it
1:28:51 fish doesn't matter what we call it fish
1:28:55 oh wait let's see uh
1:28:57 desktop okay now I'm going to go to chat
1:29:00 GPT I'm flip over to chat GPT 4 oh what
1:29:03 was
1:29:07 that oh it was nothing okay I thought
1:29:10 there was a new feature I got I got all
1:29:11 excited people okay we're in chat gp4 if
1:29:14 you if you don't have chat
1:29:16 gp4 I think it's like the best deal in
1:29:19 software right now
1:29:21 so chat gp4 has Vision it can see and it
1:29:26 can make images so one of the things you
1:29:28 can do with chat gp4 is you can
1:29:35 go grab an image so there's our fish
1:29:38 image and I'm just going to
1:29:41 go describe this in as much detail as
1:29:48 possible and so chat GPT is going to do
1:29:50 that
1:29:56 all right
1:29:59 beautiful and now I'm going to say make
1:30:03 me a 16x9
1:30:05 wide version of this
1:30:10 image but alter the
1:30:18 colors this is a thing that someone I
1:30:21 didn't come up with the the term but I
1:30:22 like it called um dolly3 round
1:30:30 tripping where you can have um you you
1:30:34 have chat GPT look at something and then
1:30:37 and then you have it make an image and
1:30:39 then you have it describe the image and
1:30:40 then you have it make another
1:30:44 image so there's that okay great change
1:30:48 the colors up all right
1:30:52 um let me download
1:30:57 this and then I'm going
1:31:00 to upload it so that so that I can see
1:31:07 it then
1:31:09 go describe in as much detail as
1:31:12 possible
1:31:27 great now make a 16 by9 wide image of
1:31:31 that description but make it way more
1:31:37 extreme what does way more extreme mean
1:31:40 I don't
1:31:41 know let's find out or make it way more
1:31:45 weird or make it way more surreal or
1:31:47 make it way more photorealistic or what
1:31:49 you know whatever it might
1:31:50 be so you could take a drawing that you
1:31:53 draw today and do this with it yeah
1:31:56 weirder yeah
1:32:00 exactly Corey Sandler who's in here is
1:32:02 really good at this just sort of oh look
1:32:04 at this that's awesome that's just
1:32:07 [ __ ]
1:32:08 [Laughter]
1:32:12 weird but
1:32:15 gorgeous you know
1:32:17 from that
1:32:20 inspiration right you can kind of see
1:32:22 the the DNA of it but
1:32:26 completely new and original make it
1:32:29 irregular that's great
1:32:31 okay um so I'm now in edit mode and so
1:32:36 I'm just going to
1:32:38 say make this more
1:32:43 irregular so it's now going to give me a
1:32:45 version of
1:32:52 this that's more IR regular
1:32:55 Cozier stranger voluptuous funnier yep
1:32:58 exactly but I think irregular is the one
1:33:00 to do
1:33:02 Cory but isn't that what station does in
1:33:05 decco here yeah it
1:33:08 is let's
1:33:10 go even more irregular exclamation point
1:33:17 [Laughter]
1:33:28 oh I got something fun to try make it
1:33:31 more like
1:33:32 [Laughter]
1:33:36 us bizarre make it underwater in a
1:33:39 cavern let's see what it comes up
1:33:44 with that's
1:33:46 wild
1:33:50 um give it a turtle shell
1:34:02 next time someone tells you
1:34:04 that AI are just predictive engines that
1:34:08 are St stochastic parrots that just copy
1:34:12 and paste what everyone else has done
1:34:14 and don't do anything
1:34:16 original do this with
1:34:19 them go have it write a song go go to go
1:34:23 to deco here
1:34:27 station now let's go okay so let's close
1:34:31 this so let's grab
1:34:34 this oh you know what we're GNA do no I
1:34:36 know what we're going to do okay I'm
1:34:38 gonna I'm going to download this which I
1:34:41 did I'm going to re-upload it I might
1:34:44 not have to re-upload this each time but
1:34:45 I'm just I know this will work so I'm
1:34:48 going to put this in and I'm going to
1:34:51 go describe this in as much Det detail
1:34:54 as
1:35:01 possible so we started with this
1:35:05 lovely
1:35:08 timid you know beautiful little image if
1:35:12 if not a little disturbing and we ended
1:35:14 up with that crazy ass
1:35:19 thing and now
1:35:24 we're going to grab that long prompt
1:35:26 we're going to go back to Deco
1:35:28 here we're going to go to
1:35:30 create we're going to pop in that
1:35:35 prompt and let let's see what it does oh
1:35:42 cool love that one okay
1:35:48 whatever bang make a station I wasn't
1:35:52 paying attention which combination of
1:35:54 tools do we see here okay with the fish
1:35:56 so I started with Deco here I started
1:36:04 with this
1:36:07 image then I went to chat
1:36:11 GPT uploaded that image had it describe
1:36:15 it had it make an image from the
1:36:17 description had it described that had it
1:36:20 made an image from that description then
1:36:23 I said make it more irregular make it
1:36:25 more irregular which that one's pretty
1:36:27 good in irregular and then I said add a
1:36:29 turtle shell and it did that then I had
1:36:32 it describe
1:36:34 that and then we went back to Deco
1:36:41 here and oh I lost my create thing so
1:36:44 we'll do it again so I'm going to pop in
1:36:46 oh wait no oh yeah I
1:36:52 lost I lost my uh my station that's okay
1:36:55 so we're going to pop in that
1:37:08 description that one's kind of cool now
1:37:10 I'm going to turn that into a
1:37:14 station and now we'll just have a bunch
1:37:16 of infinitely
1:37:18 weird Turtle looking turtle inspired
1:37:22 crazy ass irregular fish or
1:37:26 foxes sea
1:37:29 turtles
1:37:31 mermaids oh look at that Dragon so like
1:37:33 here here's a really good example
1:37:36 of like now we're in a completely
1:37:38 different area I can turn this into a
1:37:40 station whether or not I'm going to get
1:37:42 double dragon heads probably not but
1:37:45 we'll
1:37:46 see
1:37:49 yeah so now we're in a completely
1:37:52 different creative space than we were
1:37:54 5 minutes
1:37:57 ago what a great logo
1:38:09 right every one of these is an original
1:38:12 just creation out just like plucked out
1:38:15 of the latent space
1:38:29 right nuts here I'll I'll uh I'll share
1:38:37 the if you go to the AI Salon AIS salon.
1:38:42 mn. and go to the
1:38:46 Irregulars and I'm going to share cool
1:38:48 things and I'm just going to pop
1:38:52 in I'm going to pop in that that
1:39:01 station so now if you go to that station
1:39:04 we'll all we'll all be looking what
1:39:07 what's cool about stations is if you go
1:39:08 to Mya my
1:39:11 station we'll see the same images ones
1:39:14 on white backgrounds we see that that
1:39:16 one we'll
1:39:19 see and then any one of these you can
1:39:22 just click on it and turn it into a
1:39:24 station like crazy ass purple
1:39:29 dragon Dr bod this is insane isn't
1:39:33 it now you really want to blow your mind
1:39:37 here's here's where this gets really
1:39:42 mind-blowing this is using a technology
1:39:45 that called sdxl from from stability AI
1:39:48 sdxl turbo that makes images really
1:39:51 really
1:39:52 quickly and it's this is just a clever
1:39:54 interface for it but we're going to have
1:39:56 similar Technologies for songs for words
1:40:00 for problems for code for 3D worlds for
1:40:04 3D objects for um animations for
1:40:10 movies so imagine having a tool that's
1:40:15 just as intuitive as this where you can
1:40:18 switch between those different kinds of
1:40:22 self-expression so so you find an image
1:40:24 that you like here and you go ooh turn
1:40:26 that into a poem and then you love the
1:40:28 poem and you go turn that into
1:40:30 a into a song and then you love the song
1:40:33 and you're like oh turn that into a
1:40:34 music
1:40:35 video and then the music video has some
1:40:38 cool image in it you're like oh take the
1:40:40 image at you know 2 37 and turn that
1:40:43 into a
1:40:47 station we're going to be able to
1:40:49 literally navigate through hyper
1:40:52 personalized
1:40:57 create creative
1:41:00 output that we can either sit back
1:41:03 passively like this or jump in and get
1:41:05 really active with it like we did when
1:41:06 we wrote the song last night or a
1:41:09 vacation request exactly that too I have
1:41:13 the impression that each station has an
1:41:16 actual prompt tied to it it does
1:41:18 anti-bubbles but what I think they're
1:41:20 doing is I think when these stations run
1:41:22 I think they're slightly altering the
1:41:24 prompts so you get some variability in
1:41:28 it it's too fast I'd like to slow it
1:41:30 down well you can you can every one of
1:41:32 these you can scroll down to the bottom
1:41:35 so if they're going too fast you can
1:41:36 scroll
1:41:37 down and grab something that you
1:41:41 liked but yeah it's it's going pretty
1:41:43 fast I think you you probably can stop
1:41:46 it
1:41:47 somehow I would
1:41:49 think that's a cool one
1:41:54 that feels very
1:42:01 1901 is this
1:42:07 Bonkers [ __ ] nuts and John John Hess
1:42:10 it's it's also
1:42:12 um like for the neuros spicy people in
1:42:15 this channel which which is a lot of us
1:42:18 um if you've got ADHD a tool like this
1:42:20 is is probably really good for your
1:42:22 brain cuz it's like we can take in a lot
1:42:25 of information and like just navigate
1:42:27 quickly um if your brain is different
1:42:32 not like that this might be completely
1:42:34 overwhelming but in that case you can go
1:42:37 to you know other tools that that have
1:42:40 more intentionality to them I think to
1:42:43 automatically adjust the output speed
1:42:45 yeah I think this will get more
1:42:46 sophisticated they just launched this
1:42:48 like this is this is we're looking at
1:42:50 4day Old technology oh I love this one I
1:42:52 love the colors in this
1:42:54 look at that that's [ __ ] gorgeous so
1:42:56 I'm going to add that to my I added it
1:42:59 to my library I'm going to upscale it oh
1:43:01 you know what I'm going to do no Kyle
1:43:03 tell us I'm going to turn it into a
1:43:06 movie I'm going to upscale it and turn
1:43:08 it into a
1:43:09 movie so we go add a little creativity
1:43:12 so now I got that
1:43:13 going and then I'm going to make a movie
1:43:16 of it boom
1:43:19 okay so then I can go back to here so
1:43:21 now in my library there's a an upscaled
1:43:24 version of that thing being created
1:43:26 there's a movie of that thing being
1:43:27 created and then the the base the base
1:43:29 one is just sitting
1:43:31 there that one's cool
1:43:40 too some of these would make nice
1:43:43 tattoos and and yeah oh yeah you could
1:43:45 have this in a tattoo artist shop to
1:43:47 help you decide yeah
1:43:50 exactly like why not
1:43:55 have you know actually there there's an
1:43:57 application to build right with with a
1:43:59 with a very little bit of programming
1:44:01 you could put a front end on this that's
1:44:04 like a tattoo shop you know helper or or
1:44:08 like I'm you know I'm thinking about
1:44:09 getting a tattoo and you can just have
1:44:11 the your prompt your creative
1:44:13 field right this thing um
1:44:18 tattoo of a
1:44:25 Hedgehog on
1:44:28 a
1:44:30 turtle's
1:44:36 back okay all right great
1:44:40 so let's see wait T tattoo I said OG of
1:44:47 of a
1:44:49 hedgehog
1:44:51 um walking
1:44:59 upright
1:45:01 with
1:45:04 a
1:45:06 turtle let's see tattoo illustration
1:45:24 it doesn't like the
1:45:43 multiple standing up with big eyes all
1:45:46 right there's cute cute
1:45:48 hedgehog all right so we'll go find one
1:45:51 we like
1:45:56 [Laughter]
1:46:01 okay there's a good one we'll make that
1:46:02 into a
1:46:03 station and then and then now you can Dr
1:46:07 bod I'm blown away I know right and now
1:46:09 so you're in the tattoo shop right
1:46:11 you've got this on your
1:46:13 phone
1:46:15 and you've created a station so the
1:46:18 station's blow Blowing by and then
1:46:20 you've just grabbed a bunch of these
1:46:26 that you think are
1:46:27 cute there's a hedgehog Hedgehog
1:46:33 man okay there's one so great so just
1:46:36 I'm gonna add that to my library and
1:46:38 then I'll just let this thing keep going
1:46:41 okay that one's cute I'm going to add
1:46:42 that to my
1:46:47 library nah that looks like regret
1:46:54 that doesn't really look like a hedgehog
1:46:55 but it's kind of cute add that to my
1:46:57 library and then you just go to your
1:46:59 library and you say hey tattoo artist
1:47:02 here's some ideas that I was kicking
1:47:05 around what do you
1:47:12 think that's pretty cool all right so
1:47:20 here's this is the the upscale one
1:47:24 and then this should be the the video
1:47:28 right yeah this is the
1:47:35 video I see no movement
1:47:38 whatsoever
1:47:41 whatever all
1:47:46 right there you go make a
1:47:50 station now we'll go celestial
1:47:53 but it's the animal tattoo I'm Blown
1:47:57 Away uh uh uh I got a tattoo once the
1:48:00 size of a dime and I almost cried to
1:48:02 imagine the pain of that
1:48:04 artwork I have never I have never had
1:48:07 the guts to to go go tattoo
1:48:12 root no regerts exactly
1:48:21 [Laughter]
1:48:25 oh man alive oh that's nice that one's
1:48:28 really
1:48:32 nice it's not quite symmetrical but
1:48:35 janky everything's janky there's
1:48:37 everything's got a little Jank to it in
1:48:40 here that's the other thing these when
1:48:42 you upscale these images they get much
1:48:44 better because the way sdxl works it's
1:48:46 it's doing very few passes to generate
1:48:49 it so it tends to generate things that
1:48:51 are fairly under formed
1:49:04 [Music]
1:49:08 this will be BR brilliant for medcom I
1:49:11 have a few ideas yep
1:49:13 absolutely actually medcom is really
1:49:16 interesting let's
1:49:17 see
1:49:19 um internal structure of the workings
1:49:25 of a muscle
1:49:33 cell as
1:49:41 micrography yeah exactly there you go
1:49:45 now imagine so let's make a station out
1:49:48 of this imagine this is this is where
1:49:53 th this is again where where existing
1:49:56 Human
1:49:57 Experience
1:50:00 um makes a huge difference to me all of
1:50:04 this just looks the same right to
1:50:06 someone who's got medical experience
1:50:08 you're going to be able to look at this
1:50:09 and go oh that's actually really close
1:50:12 right that's actually really close to
1:50:13 what I'm looking
1:50:15 for and look it's doing that's funny
1:50:17 it's doing stuff that's not anywhere
1:50:19 close to muscle cells
1:50:24 but I mean some of these are
1:50:26 beautiful look at
1:50:35 that
1:50:38 right holy
1:50:41 [ __ ] great
1:50:43 idea and look a kitty
1:50:47 too look it's the inside of a muscle
1:50:51 cell
1:50:53 you didn't know this little critter was
1:50:55 in in your body did
1:51:03 you well sah good news and bad news good
1:51:06 news we fixed your heart bad
1:51:15 news
1:51:18 crazy all right let's make a movie out
1:51:20 of this one we'll do movement
1:51:24 of seven
1:51:27 7.7 let's see what kind of crazy
1:51:29 disturbing ass stuff that comes up
1:51:34 with about that second row of
1:51:36 [Laughter]
1:51:45 [Music]
1:51:51 teeth that's pretty cool
1:51:57 yeah let's go let's go back here we'll
1:51:58 go
1:52:02 um
1:52:04 crosssection of an incredibly colorful
1:52:07 geode
1:52:10 backlit by Golden hour
1:52:21 Sun turn that into a
1:52:28 station you just just plop this in a
1:52:30 doctor's
1:52:35 office with a beaver and a
1:52:40 turtle I like turtles I like
1:52:49 turtles nice Geo Jim you've been working
1:52:52 out
1:52:59 oh sorry
1:53:05 Bruce this is kind of a cool
1:53:09 uh a cool station because it's it's so
1:53:12 Random what we're
1:53:18 getting look at this that's so cool
1:53:23 all right let's go look at
1:53:28 our here you
1:53:36 go this is exactly what happens in your
1:53:39 cell when you eat a candy
1:53:42 bar don't eat candy
1:53:45 children do you want yourselves
1:53:47 struggling like this no you want
1:53:49 yourselves calm and
1:53:51 peaceful this this is two
1:53:54 [Laughter]
1:53:56 Skittles a red one and a green one if
1:53:58 you're
1:54:02 curious what are we playing with tonight
1:54:05 this is Deco here that's what I say
1:54:07 every time I think an images
1:54:15 analyed bad news we lost the
1:54:19 kitten oh yeah Google it oh that's
1:54:22 interesting yeah there's another thing
1:54:24 you can do here oh this is something I
1:54:25 wanted to try so if you go to
1:54:27 create I can upload an
1:54:29 image of me or of whoever let's see
1:54:38 [Music]
1:54:44 Kyle these are these are my fake oh yeah
1:54:47 there we go we'll upload that dude these
1:54:50 are my fake AI head shots that's my
1:54:52 that's a sexy cowboy hey hey sexy cowboy
1:54:56 here how you doing uh let's see um we'll
1:55:01 do
1:55:06 um real estate agent showing a house in
1:55:11 New York
1:55:21 City where's my mouse where are you
1:55:24 Mousie let's let's go
1:55:32 get okay good with with the with the
1:55:36 hard hat let's turn this into a station
1:55:38 and see if like what I what I don't know
1:55:41 is like how much of the how much of this
1:55:43 image is it going to bring into the
1:55:44 station like is it going to keep that
1:55:46 character no it's not
1:55:51 okay so it's just it's just a a person
1:55:55 and real estate actually that looks very
1:55:57 much like New York City oh no that looks
1:55:59 like
1:56:02 London this is
1:56:07 cool all right that was a bad
1:56:09 experiment but that's why we play here
1:56:12 people all right my eyes are Going
1:56:14 Buggy
1:56:18 woo Friday night date night that was
1:56:21 some that was some fun will we listen
1:56:22 listen to some music we didn't make
1:56:24 anything really tonight well though we
1:56:26 did make
1:56:27 stations we made a lot of stuff
1:56:33 tonight just a different mode right like
1:56:35 it's it's not like here's the
1:56:38 thing that way of making images isn't
1:56:41 better than something else it's just
1:56:44 different and and I you know I think the
1:56:46 thing to if if there's a takeaway that
1:56:49 that I would leave you with it's
1:56:53 if you didn't know this is possible now
1:56:55 you
1:56:57 do and if you're ever sitting there
1:56:59 thinking like well like I don't know
1:57:01 what to come up with well tough [ __ ]
1:57:03 like if if you want to come up with
1:57:05 something then there's now tools where
1:57:07 you can just do
1:57:09 this boom instant
1:57:13 ideas
1:57:15 instant
1:57:17 right I like the persistent feature
1:57:19 thank you Kyle so many things happening
1:57:21 so fast I love it I I know cam it's
1:57:23 crazy isn't it I've been too busy
1:57:26 working in AI for the last few months
1:57:27 coming back into the group oh welcome
1:57:29 back ugly man nice welcome
1:57:31 back um this is a station that you like
1:57:34 I like this one a lot you click on this
1:57:37 lower left hand
1:57:38 side and you go to now playing and you
1:57:41 can say save the station and so if I go
1:57:44 to my saved stations these are all
1:57:46 things that I really liked like this was
1:57:48 a cool one that was like
1:57:50 1970s um slot machine or something like
1:57:53 that
1:57:54 or arcade
1:57:58 games and they're just like crazy
1:58:00 surreal kind of hyper
1:58:04 realistic you know 70s slot machines at
1:58:08 sunset or at dusk or whatever it
1:58:15 was look at that look how cool that
1:58:19 is so so that
1:58:23 is just you go to your saved you know
1:58:26 your saved stations and you can do that
1:58:28 or you can go to trending and see what
1:58:30 other people are looking
1:58:32 up but like I'll grab that one cuz that
1:58:35 one's super
1:58:38 cool like look at these little cassette
1:58:41 tape looking
1:58:43 things I mean come
1:58:45 on you want to do greeting cards just
1:58:48 you you know tell it to make you like a
1:58:51 you know a uh an illustration study in a
1:58:55 particular style and then turn it into a
1:58:57 station and then just if you spent 15
1:59:00 minutes just saving your best picks from
1:59:02 a decent a decently prompted
1:59:07 station crazy
1:59:17 right I just used gp4 to pass a state
1:59:21 test I cut and tasted every question and
1:59:24 got 100% okay there you
1:59:34 go can't wait till next week where
1:59:36 something else will come out I know
1:59:39 listen do you want to hear something
1:59:41 weird is
1:59:45 um I actually feel like we're we're
1:59:48 we're in a calm before a storm right now
1:59:53 there like this tool and and udio
1:59:57 there's a couple of things that are live
1:59:59 right now that are that are new and
2:00:02 pretty
2:00:03 remarkable but everyone's kind of
2:00:06 waiting for what chat GPT is about to do
2:00:08 and they're they're about to drop I
2:00:09 don't know if you know this um May 9th
2:00:13 next Thursday open AI is launching a
2:00:16 search
2:00:19 engine so imagine
2:00:23 perplexity if you've ever played with
2:00:25 that but from open AI with chat GPT 4
2:00:28 behind
2:00:30 it it could be crazy could be like crazy
2:00:34 good we'll
2:00:36 [Laughter]
2:00:38 see and then sometime well then we
2:00:42 got May 7th is an Apple event where I
2:00:45 think I think it's just an iPad event I
2:00:47 don't think there's anything interesting
2:00:48 there but you've got the worldwide
2:00:49 developer conference in June June 10th I
2:00:52 think
2:00:53 think and then probably sometime after
2:00:56 that GPT 5 is going to or or 4.5 the
2:01:00 next version of whatever open AI is
2:01:02 going to give us is rumored to be coming
2:01:04 out in June or July so we're not that
2:01:06 far away from more crazy
2:01:14 [ __ ] so just
2:01:17 breathe
2:01:20 Play Just dick around keep coming back
2:01:23 to these things anyway if you want to
2:01:26 support this channel couple of ways you
2:01:28 can do it you can follow
2:01:30 me you can subscribe to the lives that
2:01:32 makes a big difference for me you can
2:01:34 buy the video series in the corner here
2:01:38 called underhyped
2:01:39 that's a bunch of videos that talk about
2:01:42 the significance of AI why I think it's
2:01:44 underhyped actually me putting in for a
2:01:47 day off on May 9th I know well don't do
2:01:50 it yet because it hasn't been announced
2:01:52 that they're doing it but that that it
2:01:54 seems pretty likely that it's coming I
2:01:56 would say just pay attention to Twitter
2:01:58 over the next few days and let's make
2:01:59 sure it's actually going to happen um
2:02:03 and and we never know like you know when
2:02:04 the GPT store came out we all got
2:02:06 excited and thought it was going to be
2:02:07 awesome and it was a piece of [ __ ]
2:02:10 so open AI search could be the same
2:02:12 thing or it could be absolutely
2:02:15 revolutionary which that would be kind
2:02:16 of
2:02:18 cool I use chat gp4 as my search engine
2:02:21 yeah I do too I rarely use Google
2:02:23 anymore rarely rarely rarely what tools
2:02:26 are there for Designing and getting my
2:02:27 thoughts down for an
2:02:29 app
2:02:34 um there's I I would go to futurepedia
2:02:37 doio and just look up app development
2:02:40 there's probably a bunch of specialized
2:02:42 ones out there but quite
2:02:45 frankly
2:02:48 um sketch ideas on a whiteboard take a
2:02:52 picture pict of it and upload it to to
2:02:54 chat gbt and tell it to describe your
2:02:57 whiteboard describe the app and then
2:02:59 help you start refining it you'll be
2:03:02 blown away what it can
2:03:06 do yeah will it be as good is the is the
2:03:08 GPT store Kyle yeah exactly that's the
2:03:11 risk of of getting all excited about the
2:03:13 uh open AI search engine is it could
2:03:17 suck sponsor the AI learning lab awesome
2:03:20 thank you so much okay cool um
2:03:23 so so oh our agency went all in on
2:03:25 co-pilot it's okay yeah co-pilots
2:03:28 because it's Microsoft the the safety
2:03:30 guard rails on it are really shitty and
2:03:32 it's just it's not chat GPT it's just
2:03:34 not as good not as good
2:03:37 anyway ask Kyle about Story vine for
2:03:39 your needs uh yeah Dr bod if you're
2:03:41 looking to do um video storytelling with
2:03:44 with people authentically telling their
2:03:46 stories that's what Story vine does oh
2:03:47 look I'm wearing an ad right now it's
2:03:50 backwards
2:03:52 there you go guided video
2:03:57 see
2:04:04 uh is storyvine like the vond I don't
2:04:09 know vond Story vine is we've got an app
2:04:12 that guides an end user so you create a
2:04:15 template for a specific story so so if
2:04:17 it's a patient and and if fizer wants
2:04:20 their patients to tell their diagnosis
2:04:22 Journey For example we'll create what we
2:04:25 call a video guide which is a a series
2:04:28 of prompts that guides that patient step
2:04:31 by step through telling their story so
2:04:34 what's your name and when were you
2:04:35 diagnosed how did it feel when you heard
2:04:37 the news um how have you been treating
2:04:39 it how's it going things like that so
2:04:41 they answer a series of questions in our
2:04:43 app that serves as the virtual director
2:04:45 those clips go up to the cloud 5 minutes
2:04:47 later you've got a fully edited
2:04:50 video and now we created a thing called
2:04:52 the authenticity engine which is an AI
2:04:55 powered tool that you take that video
2:04:57 you put it into the authenticity engine
2:04:59 and it spews out a blog post hashtags a
2:05:03 title description key messages it's
2:05:07 [ __ ] it's so cool this AI stuff's
2:05:11 amazing um all right cool so I'm gonna
2:05:15 get out of here thank you Irregulars
2:05:17 thank you mods for for hanging out
2:05:19 tonight um hope this was helpful hope it
2:05:22 was fun I think that the that stations
2:05:26 is just it's just a new paradigm
2:05:29 of you know just experiencing
2:05:33 AI with with a little bit of direction
2:05:36 and and I'm really excited about it very
2:05:38 fun and educational good unless you
2:05:41 toggle for mirror your
2:05:44 video in settings live far bottom
2:05:50 right um the here's the problem we we in
2:05:55 story in story Vine app like mirroring
2:05:59 video like the amount of complexity for
2:06:01 getting that intuitive it is
2:06:05 unbelievable um but the way Tik Tok has
2:06:09 implemented it it's weird because if you
2:06:12 mirror the video if I move left my image
2:06:15 moves right and and vice versa and it's
2:06:18 it's very disconcerting I can't get used
2:06:20 to it so you'll just have to deal with
2:06:22 all my [ __ ] being
2:06:24 backwards cuz I can't take the way
2:06:27 they've implemented their
2:06:29 mirroring are you invisible tomorrow oh
2:06:32 yeah that's the other thing um I'm going
2:06:34 to I'm going to shift things up now now
2:06:36 that I've hit a year listen listen
2:06:38 people I committed to doing daily lives
2:06:42 seven nights a week for a year and I did
2:06:44 it with a couple of minor exceptions I'm
2:06:47 you know we're probably in the 340 days
2:06:50 out of 365 range
2:06:52 um I'm going to take weekends off so
2:06:54 you've got weekends off too especially
2:06:56 mods and Irregulars um take the weekend
2:06:58 off have a nice weekend I'm going to do
2:07:00 the same um I'm going to I'm going to
2:07:02 take that time and and like we're we're
2:07:05 about to enter a whole new era of
2:07:08 acceleration with this stuff so so take
2:07:11 some rests um chill out have a nice
2:07:14 weekend and I will be back Monday okay
2:07:18 um if anything happens over the weekend
2:07:20 I may go live spontaneously but I'm not
2:07:22 planning on it so thank you for that
2:07:23 reminder you may US owe us a few of
2:07:26 those timeouts yeah exactly oh no
2:07:28 Angelique yeah I know how are you going
2:07:30 to get to
2:07:34 sleep all right everybody uh this was
2:07:36 fun hope you had fun happy Friday night
2:07:38 have a good weekend
