45. 11:39run it on Windows probably with a decent graphics card and you can run it on you you buntu and then it's basically just like
46. 11:49a chat GPT interface and then you you install all these different models so there's a whole bunch of GPT 4S here's llama 7B llama

48. 12:22models what I would do is I would go to um go to Reddit and go to op source llm it was a whole thing you could host it

57. 14:04reasoning engine that is apparently the thing that ilas suts saw that that he freaked out and got Sam Alman fired so
58. 14:15but all of this is speculation nobody actually knows why Sam Alman got fired nobody knows what Ilia saw nobody knows
59. 14:22where Ilia is he hasn't been seen since that whole kurer fuffle um but if if indeed chat gpt2 the the the one that was just
60. 14:37released a week or two ago for a short time um if indeed it was a smaller model that was performing as well as
61. 14:45gp4 then holy crap what is it going to be when we have that same fine tuning on gp4 and GPT 5 it's going to be crazy

78. 17:13that's secure and it's your own instance then you're fine but you should just assume you don't want to be putting you know very
79. 17:20sensitive um proprietary stuff out on on those um on those API calls it it's just just they claim to be getting better and open
80. 17:32AI said their new version of GPT chat GPT 4 has better security stuff but their if you look at their we had because we do a lot of work in
81. 17:42healthcare and Pharma we had our lawyer look at their terms of service and it basically says yeah we're you could if
82. 17:51you upload stuff to it we'll do our best but we're not guaranteeing [ __ ] uh is basically what they say the world

87. 18:32minutes um we came up with a bunch of Concepts in chat GPT then we wrote some lyrics then we fixed some lyrics and
88. 18:40then we went back and forth and then we had chat GPT also write the description of the song from musical perspective and
89. 18:47then we just pasted that into udio and then we extended it from 30 seconds to now it's 3 minutes and 48 seconds so here's here's the song

107. 23:08ideas and I'd sort of just navigate through them and pick it it's still not perfect it's got weirdness in it it's
108. 23:14got It's got weird chord changes and weird rhythms but it's it works like it's a song and I think the thing that that makes this
109. 23:29work that really makes this work is we didn't we didn't just push the button you know like one of the one of the
110. 23:36conceptions of one of the misconceptions of AI is that you just push the button and it vomits out content right and like
111. 23:45everyone's like oh it just Steals and you just push the button and there's no effort to it this was this was a lot of
112. 23:51back and forth and a lot of reworking and a lot of you know generating I don't we we probably generated I don't know 35
113. 23:59to 50 extensions of this song and just you know kept trying to find different ones that where the next section was good enough to move
114. 24:09forward it it was a lot of work and it was a lot of effort right it was you know having written a fair amount of
115. 24:16songs in my day like it's it was in the neighborhood of the same amount of effort you put into writing a song we
116. 24:21did this the only difference is we're not doing the actual production and you know coming up with the chord stuff but
117. 24:27we're doing the curation and we're you know it's it's an intentional idea so um yeah and it was I I mean a big part of
118. 24:36how I prompted cha chbt was I wanted it to tell a story right I wanted it to be singer songwriter and I wanted to be
119. 24:43Americana and Grammy award-winning and tell stories and you know I had to give us five ideas for songs that were all
120. 24:53cliche and shitty and then I said come up with five more about you know someone in a small town or something
121. 25:00like that and make it not cliche and this this was one of the ideas it came up with and it's good like it's yeah and
122. 25:06it's creepy it's like it's about mental health and it's about bullying and it's about you know just Madness and small
123. 25:13town living so anyway yeah it's fun it's just good enough yeah exactly it's awesome that's fabulous is the live
124. 25:23recording available not yet I haven't put it up yet but it will be it will be shortly um understood it has the sound and soul
125. 25:32can you put it on Spotify and get royalties probably I've I've never put anything on on Spotify but you know
126. 25:39there's other other things that I've done in um in udio I'm working on a I'm working on a musical right now

142. 28:47so that's you know what what I put together is the the the concept here is it's a it's called Sydney and artificial
143. 28:56love story so it's about the the The Love Story between the New York Times Reporter and Bing chat the the two-hour
144. 29:04conversation he had where she said she loved him and he want she she wanted him to leave his his wife and so we've
145. 29:12written this you know I I've got I don't know two months into this now and you know a full-blown um a full-blown outline and
146. 29:23lots of songs and you know they're they're good and my my intent here here is to is to make really good songs and
147. 29:32then bring in real musicians and and either just use those songs as like a sketch and then we go to some place
148. 29:40completely different or if the songs are good just [ __ ] make them real right but why not and and you know you can go
149. 29:49from an idea to something really quite good if you know if you know storytelling which that's my background um with these tools you just
150. 30:02have to be you have to have good judgment and you have to apply that judgment and you have to curate and
151. 30:08things like that so most of the songs in here were done in sunno there's a handful were done in in uh in
152. 30:17yudo but this is too good to be true so this is the opening the opening of the play and this is you've got micro te

159. 31:25now a couple more people are layered in so just imagine like a Broadway show opening up you see some chat going on on

163. 32:11bunch of stuff in here that's really bad AI lyrics but we'll go in and fix it but things like you know too good to be true

165. 32:25that and then they wake Sydney up so Sydney's the chatbot and people have interactions with her and then she kind of wakes up and so the if
166. 32:42if you saw poor things the the movie with uh with Emma Stone um where she starts out in this you know she's got an
167. 32:51adult body in this really primitive brain that's the the whole idea here is very similar so Sydney starts out in
168. 32:57this very very innocent place and so the first thing we do is we meet her and this is what she sings and she's anthropomorphized right
169. 33:07in the play She you know she comes to [Music] lifeis flicker of light newborn thoughts stir in the quiet of

267. 53:26they're going to be able to fit on our devices we won't need access to the internet so so in a very real
268. 53:34sense our devices our laptops our phones you know probably in the 2 to threee time scale are going to have gp5
269. 53:48quality um knowledge access without connection to the internet and it's it's essentially the the collective output of
270. 53:57humanity sort of squashed down and stuck in your phone like just even trying to comprehend what that means like imagine
271. 54:06all of medical knowledge being in someone's phone all of history being in someone's phone the ability to create
272. 54:13any kind of media output whether it's an image or a song or a poem or a movie is is in a device right for anyone to use
273. 54:24like totally democracy ized access to the knowledge of humanity so in that sense I don't know that it's
274. 54:33replacing you know museums libraries but it becomes an absolutely um massively Dynamic personalized version of the library
275. 54:44version of a museum version of a whole creative cast of characters at your disposal so that gets to your other
276. 54:54question is this going to replace creativity work well it's going to it's going to massively alter create creative
277. 55:02work but as we've explored here tonight where you know some of the comments were I've never heard AI songs that moved me
278. 55:09before well that's because most people are just pushing the button and letting it write shitty lyrics with a shitty

280. 55:19crap but what this enables is someone who is a Storyteller or someone who has a point of view or someone who wants to
281. 55:26express themselves to be able to do it if they take the time to navigate the tools and learn the tools in incredibly
282. 55:34powerful ways so I actually think in in a counterintuitive way access to um dramatically powerful creative execution tools actually up human
283. 55:48creativity and here's why it allows you to get ideas that were trapped in your head for years maybe all of your life instantly out in the
284. 55:58world like my experience when I work with these tools is is it's kind of hard to describe the experience it's like it's like I know it
285. 56:08when I see it like I'll I'll just be generating images and generating images and it's like yeah yeah they're nice
286. 56:14they're nice they're nice and all of a sudden I'll see one and I'm like oh that and like that's me right that's my
287. 56:22taste that's my judgment and I'll pick that one I'll curate that one and that's the one I'll share with the
288. 56:28world so creative point of view and taste are more important than ever and those don't go away those stay and that's the human contribution

519. 1:40:043D objects for um animations for movies so imagine having a tool that's just as intuitive as this where you can
520. 1:40:18switch between those different kinds of self-expression so so you find an image that you like here and you go ooh turn
521. 1:40:25that into a poem and then you love the poem and you go turn that into a into a song and then you love the song
522. 1:40:32and you're like oh turn that into a music video and then the music video has some cool image in it you're like oh take the
523. 1:40:39image at you know 2 37 and turn that into a station we're going to be able to literally navigate through hyper personalized
524. 1:40:56create creative output that we can either sit back passively like this or jump in and get really active with it like we did when
525. 1:41:06we wrote the song last night or a vacation request exactly that too I have the impression that each station has an
526. 1:41:15actual prompt tied to it it does anti-bubbles but what I think they're doing is I think when these stations run
